The John-Henry Westen Show - Gaza's hidden horror： Christian churches bombed, women beaten, homes stolen

00:00:00.000 There is no danger, there is no water, there is no water, there is no water.

00:00:05.000 Everything is safe.

00:00:06.000 We are fighting in the lives of humans and we are living in them.

00:00:30.000 Just to get targeted mercilessly and killing innocent people who had nothing to do with

00:00:41.380 anything with them.

00:00:42.380 We couldn't believe that Israel bombed the church.

00:00:46.720 One older woman and her daughter holding her hand to take her to the restroom were shot

00:00:51.800 in the head and killed, both of them, by Israeli snipers and seven Catholic men who tried to

00:00:58.240 come out and carry them were shot in the legs.

00:01:05.240 Hey my friends, John Henry Weston here with John Henry Weston's show.

00:01:11.340 It's going to be one of those shows.

00:01:12.860 It's going to be one of those shows that is very uncomfortable, but it's also something

00:01:16.620 you need to hear.

00:01:17.920 We've been reporting at LifeSite News for a long time now about the atrocities going on

00:01:22.360 in the Holy Land.

00:01:23.820 Our friend Jason Jones has just come back from Egypt.

00:01:26.440 He has been working in the Holy Land, trying to get aid, trying to take out Christians 1.00

00:01:30.820 because they're being persecuted by the Israeli defense forces in an unbelievable fashion.

00:01:37.040 Every Christian church has been bombed.

00:01:39.440 Every Christian school has been bombed and every Christian hospital has been bombed. 0.97

00:01:44.760 Right now in the West Bank and other places, Israeli defense forces are beating up women and

00:01:51.440 worse.

00:01:52.440 We're going to hear it firsthand from Jason Jones, who has video testimony of Christians

00:01:56.820 in the Holy Land, because as they told us, as the auxiliary bishop in the Holy Land told

00:02:03.540 us, their brothers and sisters over here in the West, that's us, us Christians here in

00:02:08.420 the West are not listening to our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land begging for our help.

00:02:14.040 Stay tuned for this episode of the John Henry Weston Show.

00:02:18.720 This October 17th and 18th, we are going to be running Rome Life Forum in Exile.

00:02:25.140 We are doing that in Kansas City, Missouri, this fine bishop, Bishop Joseph Strickland, sort

00:02:29.520 of in exile, is going to be joining us there, as well as Dr. Janet Smith, as well as prophecy

00:02:35.200 expert Xavier Aral, and many more, including a special guest.

00:02:40.700 Hope to see you there.

00:02:42.320 Hope to see you there.

00:02:43.520 God bless you.

00:02:44.900 RomeLifeForum.com.

00:02:45.900 Sign up now.

00:02:47.900 Jason Jones, welcome to the program.

00:02:49.900 John Henry, it's good to see you.

00:02:51.900 Thank you for having me on.

00:02:52.900 Let's first begin, as we always do, with the sign of the cross.

00:02:56.080 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

00:03:00.300 Amen.

00:03:01.300 Jason, you are a very courageous man.

00:03:03.300 You are a lover of Christ, and you put him before all else, and your heart is so big for

00:03:09.300 all of the persecuted around the world, especially the persecuted Catholics, the persecuted Christians,

00:03:16.300 especially those whom nobody listens to.

00:03:19.360 Your Vulnerable People Project is a great name for the organization which you lead and founded,

00:03:24.620 because that's where your heart is.

00:03:26.120 In this situation, it's one of the most difficult things to talk about, because there's so much

00:03:31.680 flack from those, even Christians, even Catholics, who are supposed to be paying attention to their 0.99

00:03:37.920 own brothers and sisters in the Holy Land, but they aren't.

00:03:40.300 Yeah, John Henry, it's unbelievable.

00:03:41.740 You know, our organization now is over 25, almost 25 years old.

00:03:45.200 We, right now, VPP has security guards and has installed cameras in churches and synagogues

00:03:51.740 and mosques, protecting vulnerable communities facing ethnic cleansing and genocide, the Yazidi,

00:03:57.300 the Uyghur.

00:03:58.300 It's striking to me that I am actually being attacked for speaking up for truly the most powerless

00:04:06.200 people on the earth, the people of Gaza, specifically the Christians in Gaza, and that Christians,

00:04:13.820 I've been told to hush up, to zip it, that if I want to continue to advocate for vulnerable

00:04:21.280 communities that have any legitimacy or credibility, that I should, I'm confusing people.

00:04:26.480 I've been told, I quote unquote, I'm confusing people by sharing the truth about the persecution

00:04:31.940 of the Christians in Gaza, but of course, it's not just the Christians in Gaza.

00:04:36.500 Israel doesn't see Christians and Muslims.

00:04:39.440 They don't see church or mosque.

00:04:41.340 They see Palestinian. 0.97

00:04:43.020 They bomb churches. 0.91

00:04:44.260 They bomb mosques.

00:04:45.120 But the truth is, they bombed every church.

00:04:47.940 St.

00:04:48.120 Porpheus was bombed twice this week.

00:04:51.280 And there's a young man who works for us.

00:04:53.600 His father died.

00:04:55.060 His sister was killed by the IDF, 18 years old.

00:04:57.620 And just this past week, his other sister was wounded when his church was bombed again,

00:05:03.200 and his cousin was wounded.

00:05:05.040 And I'm often called a liar, a propagandist for Hamas.

00:05:09.780 But the reality is, Ecclesiastes 4.1 has always inspired me, since even before I was a Christian,

00:05:16.420 it haunted me when I read it.

00:05:18.360 Solomon said, I look all over the world, and all I see is oppression.

00:05:22.300 And on the side of the oppressor is power.

00:05:26.400 And on the side of the oppressed, there is no one.

00:05:29.260 How haunting is this?

00:05:30.740 But of course, with the second person of the Trinity, with the mystical body of Christ,

00:05:35.180 things are different today than when Solomon said these words.

00:05:39.400 Now, when we look all over the world, we should see the mystical body of Christ.

00:05:43.080 We should see Christians standing with the Yazidi, that they're a pre-monotheistic community, 0.97

00:05:48.300 or the Uyghur, the ethnic minority, predominantly Muslim, suffering ethnic cleansing and genocide

00:05:54.220 in East Turkestan, Chinese-occupied East Turkestan.

00:05:58.680 But how much more so, when you think in that wonderful book by Fulton Sheen on the mystical

00:06:03.660 body of Christ, he says that the foundation of solidarity in the world, the foundation of

00:06:08.760 world order, is the solidarity of Christians around the world.

00:06:12.860 How shameful it is that people think that they can bully me, or that they've been bullied,

00:06:19.720 and they've been silenced, and they're afraid to speak up.

00:06:24.060 For the most vulnerable people in the world, the Palestinian families in Gaza, they're standing

00:06:29.540 up against multiple nuclear powers, the UK, the United States, Britain.

00:06:34.660 We've just sent billions of dollars of weapons for a community of less than several hundred

00:06:40.600 thousand adults.

00:06:42.280 And of course, Hamas is 40,000 fighters.

00:06:46.060 But we now know that there are over 40,000 dead civilians.

00:06:49.680 And the real numbers, there are probably around 30,000 dead children.

00:06:54.340 And the idea that I'm going to be silent, it's absurd.

00:06:58.400 I can't be silent.

00:06:59.500 I should close down my apostolate and cease everything I'm doing around the world, John Henry, if I

00:07:04.680 cannot advocate for the descendants of the apostles.

00:07:07.840 When we think of an axe in the upper room, there was Jew, there was Arab, there were Africans,

00:07:13.820 there were Asians, there were Romans, there were Greeks, their descendants we call Palestinians. 0.99

00:07:18.520 The church in Gaza, the churches in West Bank, these are literally the descendants of the first 1.00

00:07:24.060 century Christians. 0.99

00:07:25.280 How foolish it is to be silent and advocating for them. 1.00

00:07:29.240 It's unbelievable. 0.99

00:07:29.920 But I need people to understand, because you were there, because you interviewed these very

00:07:35.380 people, tell us the situation on the ground.

00:07:39.080 To be honest, people do not believe.

00:07:42.160 Good Christians, good Catholics, they do not believe it. 0.99

00:07:46.320 All they see is, no, this is Hamas. 0.99

00:07:48.900 This is an incredibly anti-Semitic group of Muslims who want to destroy Israel. 1.00

00:07:54.500 And all Israel's doing is defending itself. 0.98

00:07:57.560 It's the most civil way of going about it.

00:08:01.180 They're doing everything they can to protect the innocent.

00:08:04.540 This is what is believed.

00:08:06.300 And add to that, they believe that Israel is still the Israel that the scriptures talk about.

00:08:13.080 And they are God's chosen people.

00:08:15.460 And they are the ones who are to be protected.

00:08:18.520 They are the victims.

00:08:19.500 That's the story out there.

00:08:21.000 That's what we're told constantly in emails.

00:08:22.920 How can you talk like this?

00:08:24.460 You're being anti-Christian.

00:08:25.620 You're being anti-Catholic.

00:08:26.680 That's what we're being told.

00:08:27.920 What's going on, really?

00:08:29.940 Well, yeah, that's a good point.

00:08:31.380 So I will say, first of all, we are called to advocate and defend for vulnerable Jews.

00:08:35.980 We are called to stand with Jews facing ethnic cleansing and genocide, suffering violence

00:08:41.100 and bigotry.

00:08:42.300 Of course, full stop.

00:08:44.860 But my fear of being called an anti-Semite shouldn't silence me or shouldn't lead me to being

00:08:51.800 an anti-Arab bigot.

00:08:53.900 I'll tell you, John Henry, I want to address this point.

00:08:56.080 I want people to sort of do an examination of conscience.

00:09:01.200 You would think with the nature of my work, I would be the most humane, wonderful person,

00:09:06.380 free of bigotry.

00:09:07.460 But I'm not.

00:09:08.240 I'm a human.

00:09:08.880 I live within a culture, and I have been inculcated with prejudice.

00:09:14.400 It was striking to me when I was in Egypt, we'd set up a clandestine TV studio.

00:09:20.180 John Henry and you would have gone nuts.

00:09:22.480 It was so loud.

00:09:23.500 We were in Cairo trying to hide from Egyptian intelligence.

00:09:27.200 No government in the world is on the side of the Palestinians. 0.94

00:09:30.800 The Iranians don't care about Arab Sunnis. 0.96

00:09:34.240 Of course not.

00:09:35.260 They're using them to achieve their interests.

00:09:37.940 No one cares about the Palestinians. 1.00

00:09:40.380 So we had to be discreet.

00:09:42.440 In fact, I was shocked I wasn't arrested trying to leave the country.

00:09:45.420 But we're in this clandestine studio, and I'm interviewing Palestinians, Muslims and Christians.

00:09:51.980 And in each interview, I was shocked.

00:09:54.960 I heard my inner dialogue.

00:09:57.140 Wow.

00:09:58.320 There was a Muslim woman.

00:10:00.000 She was telling her story about how when her kids graduated, she said to her husband,

00:10:04.440 I'm going to get a job.

00:10:05.200 And he said, honey, why don't you go get your master's and Ph.D.?

00:10:08.600 That's something you've always wanted to do.

00:10:10.160 And in my head, I'm like, wait a second.

00:10:12.020 Muslims don't want their wives to be educated. 1.00

00:10:15.340 You know, then I would listen to the Palestinian Christian woman talk. 0.99

00:10:18.140 And I thought, so cosmopolitan and articulate.

00:10:22.360 I said, wow, I sound like Joe Biden talking about Barack Obama.

00:10:26.140 Joe Biden called.

00:10:27.240 He said that in 2008, he said that Barack Obama was so clean and articulate.

00:10:32.100 So I hear this.

00:10:33.620 And I thought, you know, wow, I am addled by prejudice against Arabs.

00:10:39.240 I am.

00:10:39.980 I have prejudice in my own heart.

00:10:42.140 I think of all of us have been addled by prejudice.

00:10:45.160 When you think of the past 30 years, I wrote an article saying that World War III has already

00:10:50.440 happened, and it happened across North Africa, through the Middle East, and into Central Asia.

00:10:54.900 Millions of civilians died, wars, civil wars, revolutions.

00:10:59.420 If you would have moved the wars that took place over the past 30 years to Europe, we would 0.97

00:11:03.460 have called it World War III.

00:11:04.660 And who fought in the Middle East and North Africa and in Central Asia?

00:11:10.400 It were the NATO countries.

00:11:11.500 It was the United States.

00:11:12.480 It was Germany. 0.73

00:11:13.140 It was Britain.

00:11:14.040 There we were, dropping a lot of bombs.

00:11:16.360 So there have been a lot of death, a lot of war, a lot of destruction.

00:11:19.440 But then we sit here, and we think they're so violent.

00:11:23.080 They're so uncivilized.

00:11:24.740 And then now you look at Israel.

00:11:27.160 You know, imagine if Russia behaved this way in Ukraine.

00:11:30.040 It was striking that a Russian missile landed in the hospital the same week Israel bombed

00:11:37.080 a hospital.

00:11:37.640 Now that's easy to do for Russia, because Israel bombs hospitals every week.

00:11:41.320 But it was, the world reacted with horror, and the headlines were, Russia bombs, barbaric

00:11:46.780 Russia bombs hospital.

00:11:48.660 And then for Israel, it was like, hospital bombed.

00:11:52.260 Didn't say who did it.

00:11:53.460 You know, it was the IDF flying American jets, dropping American bombs, all paid for 0.64

00:12:00.020 by American tax dollars.

00:12:01.880 And it's all quite horrifying.

00:12:03.720 So there's that reality that we are insensitive.

00:12:07.020 And you know, even me, John Henry, I will tell you, when I heard of the Israeli children 1.00

00:12:10.700 dying, the, I forget what the initial number was, it's been greatly reduced.

00:12:14.660 And now we know probably most of them died in Israel's response to the attacks.

00:12:19.300 But it was, I think I even reacted to that with more anger than when I heard the, you

00:12:26.060 know, when I hear the numbers from the Palestinians.

00:12:27.800 When we have prejudice, you know, it's a great opportunity to identify it and notice it and

00:12:33.040 be thoughtful of it.

00:12:33.920 It shouldn't, you know, we shouldn't hold prejudices.

00:12:36.300 I have seen conservative commentators tweeting out things like flatten Gaza.

00:12:41.920 They're literally calling for the genocide of the descendants of the first century Christians,

00:12:47.220 which is really unbelievable.

00:12:48.840 And a lot of that is because of, maybe we can get into this later, this bizarre, I don't

00:12:55.900 want to speak out of turn.

00:12:57.440 I don't know what the church thinks of Christian Zionism, if it's just a heresy.

00:13:00.900 But to me, it's an apostasy.

00:13:02.780 And why do I say Christian Zionism is apostasy?

00:13:06.120 Because it denies Christ.

00:13:08.520 It says that Christ wasn't enough, that Christ replaces the Torah, and Christ replaces the

00:13:17.260 promises to Abraham.

00:13:18.460 No, Christ fulfills every single promise is fulfilled in Christ, period.

00:13:26.620 That Christ came for the Jew first, and then the Gentile. 0.98

00:13:32.520 Jesus isn't the privileged path.

00:13:35.300 He is the path.

00:13:36.280 What is so strikingly beautiful about the Gospels, about the New Testament, when I read it as

00:13:43.100 an atheist, I was shocked at how humane, and dignified, and beautiful, and broad-minded

00:13:50.300 that there is no longer Jew and Gentile.

00:13:53.040 No, that in the upper room, you had Africans, Asians, Greeks, Romans, Jews, Arabs, together.

00:14:00.860 You had Jesus kneel down next to a woman caught in the act of adultery.

00:14:07.280 This is all striking.

00:14:09.040 It is so bizarre, comes out of nowhere, that it has to be true.

00:14:13.120 This is what I thought as an atheist.

00:14:15.120 Christian Zionism returns the Messiah to who they wanted, those who denied him. 0.88

00:14:20.240 A tribal, angry, vicious God.

00:14:22.840 I guess they would have wanted a Messiah that behaved like Benjamin Netanyahu.

00:14:25.920 I think that's what they were looking for, but that's not what they got.

00:14:29.960 They got a Messiah that kissed lepers, knelt down next to women caught in the act of adultery, 0.99

00:14:35.560 and had conversations with Samaritan women.

00:14:38.900 This is who we got.

00:14:39.980 Praise Jesus.

00:14:40.860 Thank God.

00:14:41.700 It's wonderful.

00:14:43.420 So you have this heresy or apostasy that really promulgates ethnic cleansing. 0.74

00:14:48.820 It's new, and it's tragically inspiring a lot of Jew hatred and anti-Semitism, but the truth is that Zionism was birthed in the Christian world.

00:15:00.980 There are more Christian Zionists than Jews who are Zionists. 0.75

00:15:05.040 At the founding of Israel, most Jews rejected the state of Israel and rejected political Zionism, and the most religious Jews still do today.

00:15:12.460 So one thing we should also guard ourselves, we don't want to have, and I'm sorry for this long rant, but we don't want to obviously inspire Jew hatred and anti-Semitism when we tell the truth about what the government of Israel is doing.

00:15:26.060 And we should even forgive those Israelis who are swept away in enthusiasms of violence, as maybe we all have been in our series of wars that we've had over the past 30 years. 0.87

00:15:33.900 And we've cheered on horrible things, our drone program, the shock and awe of the Iraq invasion, the sanctions on Iraq that killed tens of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children that we seemed indifferent to.

00:15:45.980 So we would no more want to condemn Jews swept away, Israelis swept away by enthusiasms of violence. 1.00

00:15:55.060 Even more so, it's absurd to blame, you know, that young Jews in America should suffer hatred and violence because of what a government of the world is doing today.

00:16:04.920 But it's equally true that we shouldn't allow enthusiasms of violence and hatred and dehumanization against Arabs and against Muslims.

00:16:13.120 And we see that more so much.

00:16:15.540 It's so accepted that you can't even identify.

00:16:18.380 It is so part of who we are that to point out anti-Arab hate is to upset people because they think it's justified, because they've been so inculcated in vicious prejudice.

00:16:31.280 But just put this in perspective, in 1948, I think the Muslim, the Christian population of Palestine was 11 percent.

00:16:39.580 In some places like Bethlehem, it was 72 percent.

00:16:42.360 And those churches had been there forever.

00:16:45.580 They're all gone now. 0.91

00:16:47.440 And they blame it on the Muslims.

00:16:49.580 That makes no sense. 0.94

00:16:50.740 That's absurd.

00:16:52.060 So this is a tightrope that we must pray for grace.

00:16:57.760 And I've been really reading the letters.

00:17:00.180 I've been really diving into the New Testament to inoculate myself because I do get angry looking at these videos, right?

00:17:07.740 It gets, it's very, we become emotional, we become angry.

00:17:11.160 And I want to weed any evil thought or ideology.

00:17:14.520 I want to make sure it doesn't, it does not take root.

00:17:18.220 And I think the best way to do that is to throw oneself into the letters and into the gospel.

00:17:23.300 Let's hear from some of these Christian women you've interviewed.

00:17:28.500 And if you would set it up for us, tell us about from whom they're suffering and tell us what's going on.

00:17:34.620 Well, John Henry, let's start with a Christian woman in the West Bank.

00:17:37.880 Her name is Alice.

00:17:39.540 She, it's the first video I sent you.

00:17:42.000 She is just, you watch this video, her poise and her dignity.

00:17:46.640 She's just an exceptional young woman.

00:17:49.060 And her mother, her and her mother were beaten.

00:17:51.220 They had stun grenades thrown at them.

00:17:53.200 And settlers emboldened by IDF soldiers, whether they were off duty or on duty, who knows.

00:18:00.080 But they, they came in and they stole her home and they beat her up and they arrested her. 0.96

00:18:07.180 And this is a little video setting the stage.

00:18:10.300 So you can see that she is now out.

00:18:12.740 By God's grace, France gave her a passport.

00:18:15.220 And I think she's got her way to the West to do a speaking tour. 0.74

00:18:18.680 And I would love to get her on your show. 0.99

00:18:19.900 We're trying to get her on my show, but yeah, this is, this is a Christian woman from outside 1.00

00:18:24.780 of Bethlehem.

00:18:26.260 Her ancestors walked with Jesus Christ and let's see what's happening to her.

00:18:31.980 Okay.

00:18:32.600 This proof that this is our land because here it's agriculture.

00:18:38.080 They don't have tabo.

00:18:39.560 But since we have this, we can apply for tabo.

00:18:44.560 They don't have tabo.

00:18:46.200 They don't have the land registration.

00:18:50.720 So we asked for all three people to come and watch what are these people.

00:18:56.400 They are now sitting on our table in our land.

00:18:59.360 They are eating like there is nothing without dignity.

00:19:02.760 And I'm requesting for every human and advocate to come and help us and stand with us.

00:19:10.600 Thank you.

00:19:11.140 This whole fence wasn't here yesterday.

00:19:15.820 They broke the original fence and built a new one in order to take ownership.

00:19:21.900 Okay.

00:19:23.020 With their guns and their weapons and their uniforms.

00:19:27.520 So these are the settlers that yesterday came here into this land to evict the family.

00:19:37.700 And they, they were given 24 hours in this land.

00:19:41.280 So John Henry, look at this woman. 0.93

00:19:51.120 She's poised.

00:19:51.920 She's dignified.

00:19:53.080 She, she behaves in a humane way, but they took her land. 1.00

00:19:56.400 They sent her to prison. 0.97

00:19:57.440 They threw a stun grenade at her.

00:19:58.700 They beat her.

00:20:00.180 And this is in the, the reason I wanted to start with this.

00:20:02.800 They say this is a war against Hamas.

00:20:04.740 Well, then why are they destroying the roads in the West Bank?

00:20:09.280 Why did Benjamin Netanyahu go on Israeli television and put up a map with West Bank erased from the map?

00:20:16.560 It's because they are stealing the ancestral land from the oldest Christian community in the world. 1.00

00:20:24.460 And the church in the West is silent.

00:20:26.940 And the churches in the West is silent because in the Anglosphere specifically, where Zion, political Zionism began and not with Jews, but with Christians. 0.62

00:20:35.760 It began in, in the, in the Protestant world.

00:20:39.120 And then there was the Schofield Bible.

00:20:41.120 I don't, I don't want to get into the whole bizarreness of the heresy because it's so absurd, but they, they, you know, you'll hear Protestants say, these Christians should give up their land, that this belongs to the Jews.

00:20:53.920 But can I read you scripture really quick, John Henry?

00:20:57.020 Can I read from Ephesians?

00:20:58.860 So you are not foreigners or guests, but rather you are the children of the holy ones.

00:21:04.380 This is Ephesians.

00:21:05.760 Okay.

00:21:06.720 Of the city of the holy ones with all the rights as family members of the household of God.

00:21:13.300 All right.

00:21:14.380 This, this is Ephesians.

00:21:16.680 And not only are Christians, do they have all the rights and privileges of the Jews that we are all.

00:21:26.580 And actually it's the church now that is, you know, inherits those blessings and promises.

00:21:31.940 She is ethnically descended from Abraham.

00:21:36.260 And, and I don't know if Benjamin Netanyahu is, I mean, he doesn't look it, I tell you, but maybe, I don't know.

00:21:43.120 But she is the Palestinians of, of Bethlehem are, and of Gaza, of the West Bank. 0.74

00:21:50.600 They descend from the Jews that accepted Jesus and also the Arabs and, and, and the folks that live there.

00:21:57.200 We, we, we know from, from Acts that it was an incredibly diverse community at the time that knit together this community.

00:22:04.820 As the Jews that came from Europe are incredibly ethnically diverse.

00:22:08.840 They're, they're, they're Lithuanian, they're Polish, they're this, they're this.

00:22:11.540 Now that's the least egregious, right?

00:22:13.360 Beating up a woman, imprisoning her and stealing her home is the least egregious.

00:22:17.320 Can we go to video number two, which is a Christian woman from Gaza telling her story.

00:22:24.800 Now, when you listen to this woman speak, it's just important that you remember that she is, she is a Christian.

00:22:33.400 She's a Catholic.

00:22:34.580 Her husband's Catholic.

00:22:35.500 She may be Orthodox, I believe.

00:22:38.000 But, but you're looking at a woman that, that's her ancestors walked with St. James. 0.99

00:22:45.360 Her ancestors walked with Jesus.

00:22:49.380 You go back just 2,000 years ago, which isn't just that long ago.

00:22:53.480 Her family was the family of the apostles.

00:22:55.920 And just, let's listen to this poor woman speak. 1.00

00:22:58.480 I've never seen a dead body before.

00:23:00.720 The first one that I saw was a five months old and I couldn't, but like see my daughter in her.

00:23:09.640 And I was like, what if this was my daughter?

00:23:11.780 And pictures of Jesus, crosses hanging everywhere, and they didn't care. 0.86

00:23:19.720 They started setting the building on fire.

00:23:22.720 They did not care if this house is like for Christian people or anything.

00:23:29.740 So, which means that Christians and Muslims in Gaza are treated the same way.

00:23:33.900 We couldn't believe that Israel bombed the church.

00:23:37.800 We couldn't believe that Israel bombed the church.

00:24:07.780 Nobody's going to target a church.

00:24:10.000 So, you just took your kids, took your family, and just went there.

00:24:13.200 Just to get targeted mercilessly and killing innocent people who had nothing to do with anything with what's happening.

00:24:20.980 They had like a piece of my underwear between these bottles and an unshot bullet.

00:24:29.200 They just placed it there.

00:24:30.720 They dressed in my underwear.

00:24:33.580 They sabotaged everything.

00:24:35.600 People are trying to give you the wrong idea that it's not that bad that's happening in Gaza, but no.

00:24:46.160 We have no food.

00:24:47.680 Actually, people are dying from starvation because Israel is not letting food come to the north of Gaza.

00:24:54.240 I was staying in the north.

00:24:55.360 My family is still in the north, and they do not have food.

00:24:58.780 And people are dying around them.

00:25:00.800 So, I hope that the world can see that there are actually innocent people in Gaza who are getting killed for doing nothing.

00:25:12.240 It's unbelievable.

00:25:13.200 And yet we're not listening.

00:25:14.700 And yet people are unwilling to believe this is happening.

00:25:18.720 They are in denial, saying that none of this is true.

00:25:22.460 This is all made up.

00:25:23.600 You know, John Henry, it makes me very angry when people will tell me that I'm making this up or she's making this up and we're liars.

00:25:32.280 And I've had to just tell myself that they have to believe that, right?

00:25:38.100 Because if they don't believe, either we're liars or they've been conned.

00:25:43.820 Either we're liars or they've been duped. 0.93

00:25:46.940 Either we're liars or they're apostates and heretics. 1.00

00:25:52.300 And so they have to believe we're liars. 0.95

00:25:53.920 They have a lot at stake in this.

00:25:55.780 And the more that someone, I asked an evangelical friend of mine, which dogma of their faith do they hold to more strongly?

00:26:02.340 Christian Zionism or the Trinity? 0.78

00:26:05.220 And without flinching, without missing a beat, he said Christian Zionism.

00:26:08.860 I said, well, the reason why that's so is there is a foreign government that has run an aggressive influence campaign on the West, especially the Anglosphere, especially the United States, the UK, and for generations.

00:26:23.280 And so you have been inculcated by propaganda.

00:26:27.360 When I go to Protestant conferences over the years for my work, I'm shocked at how much money the Israeli lobby pours into evangelical and Protestant events.

00:26:38.360 You know, we're not spending billions of dollars inculcating people in the Trinity.

00:26:42.460 And there are even faux organizations that present themselves as Catholic.

00:26:47.080 But at the end of the day, they never, as Christian Catholic human rights organizations, but all of their funding comes from the Israel lobby.

00:26:55.400 And they never speak up for Christians when the interest of the Christians and the interest of Israel clash. 0.69

00:27:02.300 I'm going to give you a few issues.

00:27:03.700 You can go find these groups out on your own.

00:27:05.460 It's quite easy to spot.

00:27:06.520 They never condemn Israel for bombing churches and killing Christians in Israel, in Palestine, in Gaza, the West Bank.

00:27:13.900 But even they were silent and actually tried to defend Israel funding and supplying Azerbaijan with weapons to ethnically cleanse the ancient Christian community of Artsakh, the Armenians. 0.69

00:27:28.280 These, quote-unquote, Catholic organizations made videos and wrote articles saying that it was this complex and challenging geopolitical issue.

00:27:37.660 Whatever, dude.

00:27:39.200 You don't ethnically cleanse an ancient Christian community.

00:27:42.700 Guess what?

00:27:43.120 You don't ethnically cleanse any community.

00:27:46.000 There were celebrations in the street after Azerbaijan ethnically cleansed Artsakh.

00:27:53.060 That strikes me as quite odd.

00:27:54.880 There's something else that's happening, John Henry, that's quite concerning.

00:27:58.280 And I'm sure you know a bit about this.

00:28:01.820 Israel and India, two ethno-nationalist states.

00:28:05.560 And let's just, we're conservatives.

00:28:07.700 Words mean things.

00:28:09.440 Okay?

00:28:10.240 Words mean things.

00:28:11.300 Words have content.

00:28:12.700 Israel is an ethno-nationalist colonial settler state that is an apartheid state.

00:28:20.100 Okay?

00:28:21.400 India is being swept away by ethno-nationalist Hindu extremism.

00:28:27.140 This is happening.

00:28:28.900 In one state alone, 280 churches were burned down out of 340.

00:28:35.920 You see that in the United States, the Israel lobby and the India lobby have linked arms and are running influence campaigns on the right, on the conservative movement.

00:28:45.960 And this is horrifying to me.

00:28:48.360 Imagine if we're so simple-minded, so simple, that we can be brainwashed to be silent on the persecution of Christians in the Middle East when they clash with Israel's perceived interests.

00:28:59.980 Well, we are silent.

00:29:00.980 We don't really even need to be.

00:29:01.900 We are silent on what's happening in India to the church.

00:29:05.460 We were silent when ISIS ethnically cleansed the Christians and Yazidis from Iraq.

00:29:09.840 We're not saying much about what's happening in Nigeria and Sudan.

00:29:13.480 It's really quite heartbreaking.

00:29:15.600 But it's up to us, specifically as Catholics, because we are the universal church.

00:29:22.800 We have co-religionists everywhere on earth.

00:29:25.980 So it's quite scandalous that in my own parish, we never prayed for the persecuted church in Gaza or in West Bank or in India or in Artsakh.

00:29:38.280 We never prayed for the persecuted church in Iraq.

00:29:41.020 Maybe they do in your parishes.

00:29:42.460 They've never done in any of the parishes that I go to.

00:29:45.060 And this is quite sorrowful.

00:29:46.260 But as lay Catholics, they work at VPP.

00:29:48.880 And we are a Catholic apostolate.

00:29:51.140 And I've often received letters over the years because we do a lot of work protecting Muslims and Jews and Yazidis and others.

00:30:00.360 And people say, you should only defend Catholics.

00:30:02.460 I say, I would like to only defend Catholics. 1.00

00:30:04.600 But I can't do that because we're a Catholic apostolate, you see.

00:30:08.360 So the reality is I'm a Catholic apostolate.

00:30:11.120 So my hands are tied.

00:30:12.960 We're to serve vulnerable people.

00:30:15.120 And I will be clear, the reason I founded my apostolate was to share with the world the truth about the incomparable dignity of the human person, regardless of ethnicity or religion, whether it's a child in the womb or a child in Gaza.

00:30:33.660 Our activism, our humanitarian relief efforts, they're really just to exemplify the truth of the human person.

00:30:41.580 A standing with people when it's dangerous, whether it's physical or political or reputational risk, we do that because we want to teach.

00:30:51.840 We want to teach what solidarity looks like.

00:30:54.560 And we want to show the world how you treat a creature made in the image and likeness of God.

00:31:01.120 And that doesn't matter to me if they're Yazidi. 0.79

00:31:03.880 I have people in my life who are Yazidi who I love.

00:31:06.360 I have a sister.

00:31:07.040 Her whole family was killed by ISIS, and I met her shortly after she was rescued for ISIS.

00:31:14.220 I told her, I'm your brother.

00:31:15.980 She's my sister now.

00:31:17.520 She's my sister.

00:31:18.760 She lives in Nebraska.

00:31:19.780 She's my sister.

00:31:20.420 I have friends who are Palestinian Muslims and Jews.

00:31:24.160 I have friends who are, can you believe, settlers and members of the IDF.

00:31:29.220 God doesn't see Palestinian children or Jewish children or John Henry's children or my children.

00:31:34.460 God sees his children, and we should have the eyes of Christ.

00:31:39.480 And I don't want to see 15,000 children dead in Tel Aviv, and I don't want to see 15,000 children dead in Gaza.

00:31:48.120 And where are those who are calling for peace in the world?

00:31:52.260 There is the military-industrial complex's biggest grift.

00:31:56.240 In Ukraine, we're throwing the Ukrainians into the gristmill. 1.00

00:32:01.240 We never hear, how come we don't hear about the casualty numbers of Ukrainians?

00:32:04.660 Because Americans would be horrified, and the grift would stop.

00:32:08.820 We as Catholics, if we don't advocate for peace, no one will, and no one is.

00:32:12.700 Pope Pius XI said men must look for the peace of Christ in the kingdom of Christ.

00:32:21.520 And he urged that the faithful give public honor to Christ the King so that individuals and states would submit once more to the rule of their Savior.

00:32:29.640 And that is why LifeSite News is raising up the image of Christ the King across the United States.

00:32:35.700 And you can help us reach millions more.

00:32:38.840 Please pledge your support today for these billboards at lifefunder.com slash Christ is King.

00:32:47.620 One of the things that I love about what you do and your men do is you go into these most dangerous situations and try and bring them aid.

00:32:56.520 Tell us about your aid efforts in Gaza right now.

00:32:59.920 It's been horribly challenging.

00:33:01.860 It is the most complex.

00:33:03.160 First of all, I've never seen a place look like Gaza. 0.97

00:33:06.120 Maybe I was in Lahaina after the fire where we helped reopen the Catholic school.

00:33:10.760 And some villages in Iraq, after ISIS was pushed out by the Peshmerga, I was with the Peshmerga as they were liberating Iraq.

00:33:19.840 Maybe a little, but really nothing has looked like this.

00:33:23.120 The heroism of the aid workers and the journalists in Gaza is unlike anything you'll ever see.

00:33:28.680 These are very, very brave men and women.

00:33:32.320 I mean, I just tear up thinking about how wonderful these aid workers are.

00:33:37.280 And, you know, they're not.

00:33:38.520 They come across every ideological back.

00:33:40.780 They come from every ideology from far left to far right, every religion.

00:33:44.660 But they all share something really humane and unique.

00:33:47.740 And they're very brave.

00:33:49.580 You know, I do kind of hit and runs.

00:33:51.440 We go in.

00:33:52.140 I set up the teams.

00:33:53.160 We'll do some documentary work.

00:33:56.240 And I go.

00:33:57.400 But these doctors, these nurses, these truck drivers, the men and women loading and unloading trucks, not for a couple days, you know.

00:34:05.280 And that's what I do, John Henry.

00:34:06.500 I go in for a couple days, set up, shoot a documentary, do some interviews, do the logistics work, set up a team.

00:34:11.780 And I'm gone.

00:34:13.020 So there's not much bravery in what I do.

00:34:15.980 The real bravery is in the men and women who are there, the doctors, the nurses, the aid workers.

00:34:21.500 And they're dying at an unprecedented rate.

00:34:26.780 They're being targeted directly by the IDF.

00:34:28.860 There is just no doubt about that.

00:34:30.860 There is just no doubt the World Kitchen convoy that was bombed and then repeatedly attacked until everyone was dead was not an accident.

00:34:40.360 One would have to believe at the level of civilian casualties that the IDF is most definitely behaving much more immorally than Russia is in Ukraine. 0.85

00:34:49.600 There's nothing like it, right?

00:34:50.920 Maybe the most immoral modern army.

00:34:53.880 I don't know what to compare them to. 0.97

00:34:56.540 They shoot journalists. 0.96

00:34:58.800 They double tap infants.

00:35:01.800 I'll bring up something that people aren't going to want to believe.

00:35:04.620 And I challenge them to do the research on their own.

00:35:06.580 It is very easy to find. 0.99

00:35:09.180 Israel seems to have a policy of raping Palestinians. 1.00

00:35:14.660 Raping men, raping women, raping children. 1.00

00:35:16.540 And the only debate in Israel is, should this be a policy? 0.99

00:35:20.540 When soldiers were caught on camera raping a Palestinian man to half the death, they were eventually arrested when the evidence leaked.

00:35:27.640 Then riots broke out and they were freed.

00:35:29.660 And now the main culprit is doing a TV tour on Israel.

00:35:33.640 And he's like a national hero.

00:35:35.480 It's quite scandalous.

00:35:36.820 We've got a clip of that.

00:35:38.300 The banging on the, I believe, the holding cell or whatever. 0.88

00:35:43.220 These are Israelis saying that it should be right for them to be able to rape these criminals who are part of the IDF, the soldiers, who are eventually freed. 0.90

00:35:55.000 Watch this. 0.76

00:36:25.000 Why did you do it in the world? Why did you do it in the videos?

00:36:29.320 You did it in the videos.

00:36:30.440 We have a different conversation, we have a different conversation.

00:36:55.000 Why did you do it in the video?

00:36:57.640 You saw a lot, you know, you saw something that I didn't see.

00:37:00.360 The people came to me.

00:37:01.640 What do you think about this thing that...

00:37:04.200 the people who were so close to you, to help you, to help you?

00:37:07.240 I told you that the enemy knew that the enemy was going to turn to the enemy.

00:37:10.680 I didn't want to turn to the enemy and the enemy, but it was like this.

00:37:13.000 It didn't work at all, because the enemy was the one who came.

00:37:16.280 The enemy of Israel knew that the enemy was going to turn to the enemy.

00:37:19.240 How are we to make any sense to this?

00:37:46.600 There's no sense.

00:37:47.720 You know what? We're no different.

00:37:48.920 Rene Girard, this beautiful Catholic anthropologist from France,

00:37:52.520 taught at Stanford for many years, lived into his late 90s, recently died,

00:37:56.040 or into his maybe, I think it was 94.

00:37:58.520 He said, whenever enthusiasms of violence and cruelty sweep a political community,

00:38:04.120 members of that community always have the same reaction that aren't swept away.

00:38:08.680 I thought we were different.

00:38:10.840 And I want to say, when we see this, when we see Israeli soldiers, 0.99

00:38:16.040 Jewish soldiers raping Palestinian Muslim men, you know, it's kind of, you're going to get angry. 0.98

00:38:23.000 And when you see it, like I see it hundreds of times, children being shot, women being punched in 0.99

00:38:29.480 the face, priests being kicked to the ground as they walk across the street in Jerusalem,

00:38:33.480 you get upset.

00:38:35.560 But the most articulate voices, the most courageous voices who have been speaking on this for years are Jewish.

00:38:45.160 So that's one thing we need to remember.

00:38:47.000 It's one thing we always have to keep in mind.

00:38:50.280 And we, we ourselves shouldn't be swept away by enthusiasms of hatred and violence.

00:38:57.320 You know, you show that, and inevitably some of you watching this have read your Schofield Bible and watched your Pastor Hagee,

00:39:03.960 and you've been inculcated in this bizarre apostasy, violent and vicious and cruel and simple-minded, bizarre apostasy.

00:39:13.940 How do you deal with that?

00:39:15.060 You have to not believe it.

00:39:16.960 You just have not to believe it.

00:39:18.400 You can see it with your own eyes.

00:39:19.720 We're actually putting together a team.

00:39:21.520 We're trying to bring some Christian Zionists, these volunteers, on my next trip to the region to bring them in with us. 0.65

00:39:26.960 We want to interview them before they go in and help us deliver aid, and we're going to interview them during and after.

00:39:32.940 We want to bring them in, and we want these people who are thoroughly indoctrinated to come with us.

00:39:39.380 And we're working on recruiting people right now, and we want to see how seeing it with their own eyes changes their opinion.

00:39:46.640 Because it is really hard to believe, but it shouldn't be hard to believe, because this can happen in Israel.

00:39:51.740 It can happen here.

00:39:53.100 It can happen in Lebanon.

00:39:54.360 All of us, we're human beings.

00:39:58.100 We can be swept away by violence and brutal and cruel enthusiasms.

00:40:04.660 And what Rene Girard would say is, if you haven't been swept away by an enthusiasm of cruelty and violence when your community has been, it's only by the gift of the Holy Spirit.

00:40:16.340 Even Peter, when he was in the crowd, was swept away and denied Christ.

00:40:21.400 See?

00:40:21.660 So if Peter can be swept away by a crowd to be fearful, to be afraid to speak up, well then, so can I, so can you.

00:40:31.160 And so it is shocking, but we shouldn't be shocked.

00:40:34.740 That same tendency is in all of us, because we do that when we sin.

00:40:39.240 We know that when we sin, we offend Christ.

00:40:41.020 We spit on our very Creator who died on the cross for us.

00:40:44.000 We inflict the wounds on Christ, and yet we choose sin anyway.

00:40:48.480 So it is in all of us.

00:40:50.140 We dare but for the grace of God go I, is very, very real.

00:40:53.140 Part of the necessity, though, is to recognize what is evil so that we can fight it, so that you can see the end result of the horror of choosing sin, the horror of choosing against Christ and of His way.

00:41:07.860 To deify it, to make it as if it's a religion, to engage in this, to allow for this, is just, that's why I totally agree with you with regards to apostasy. 1.00

00:41:20.880 It is a, it's a total abandonment of any kind of faith and true belief in Jesus Christ.

00:41:26.440 And it's anti-Semitic, John Henry. 0.90

00:41:28.440 Let me tell you how insane Christian Zionism is. 0.99

00:41:31.400 They believe that we have to rebuild the Third Temple so the Antichrist can present himself, do a sacrifice, which denies Christ, and two-thirds of the Jews will follow the Antichrist and be killed and destroyed, and one-third will accept Christ. 0.80

00:41:47.100 You know, some of them fudge the numbers, play with the numbers differently.

00:41:49.440 It's bizarre.

00:41:50.880 It's also bizarre to say that Jesus Christ is not for the Jew.

00:41:55.800 So I can evangelize anyone and everyone on earth but the Jew? 1.00

00:42:00.500 If I really believe that, which I don't know how anyone really believes that.

00:42:05.900 I mean, you haven't read your Bible.

00:42:08.300 Jesus came for the Jew first. 1.00

00:42:10.500 So if I'm not to evangelize the Jew, should I leave Jewish people? 0.87

00:42:15.720 Should I abandon them?

00:42:16.720 Now, what if I don't believe it but I'm afraid because I don't want to be canceled?

00:42:22.220 Well, then, you care more about your own public reputation, the internal salvation of your Jewish friends. 0.96

00:42:27.920 So I just find, I find Christian Zionism, it turns Palestinians into a people that are worthy of genocide. 1.00

00:42:39.540 This is what they say. 0.97

00:42:40.680 And Jews as people unworthy of Jesus Christ? 0.62

00:42:46.560 Okay, wow.

00:42:47.660 That's interesting.

00:42:49.040 In fact, you know what?

00:42:50.060 To bolster your point, let me play for you this clip.

00:42:53.100 This is Mother Miriam, former Jew, Rosalind Moss, became Protestant, an actual anti-Catholic Protestant for about 17 years, and then became a Catholic and then a nun.

00:43:04.660 But watch what she has to say about this unwillingness to give Jews Jesus Christ.

00:43:12.320 Listen to this.

00:43:12.860 The greatest form of anti-Semitism ever is to deny the Jewish people the knowledge of Christ whom they gave to the world through God.

00:43:24.900 You are damning them if you deny them, and if you say they can come to God in any other way.

00:43:32.240 They cannot.

00:43:33.780 Right.

00:43:34.780 It is true.

00:43:36.160 Mother Miriam, you spoke very precisely.

00:43:39.840 And this we have to, we will commit a grave, grievous sin against the love of neighbor if we do not preach with love and conviction

00:43:52.920 to the Jews of today, Jesus Christ as their only Savior, and also to the Muslims, to the Hindus, to all the people.

00:44:03.120 She meant every word of that, and when she said that it's the greatest form of anti-Semitism, she was including the Holocaust. 0.88

00:44:12.220 Because, you know, with the Holocaust, you're doing horrific things, killing, trying to ethnically cleanse them, but you're killing their bodies. 0.95

00:44:20.120 With denying the Jews Jesus, you're trying to kill their eternal life. 0.99

00:44:26.760 This is unbelievable.

00:44:28.500 It sees them as totally other from the rest of humanity, which can quickly turn to a virulent anti-Semitism.

00:44:36.160 In fact, I have watched friends of mine go from, like, hyper-Christian Zionists to, like, vicious anti-Semites in the blink of an eye.

00:44:47.480 But really, it's not much of a difference.

00:44:51.240 There's all of us, you know, Africans, Asians, you know, Greeks, Romans, you know, the world, and the Jew. 0.96

00:45:00.880 And they start with, it's all of us in the Jew.

00:45:04.640 Then it's, like, all of us in the Jew. 0.81

00:45:06.020 But it's still, it's vicious and cruel.

00:45:08.720 And we'll be told that we're actually anti-Semitic if we don't see the Jew as our other.

00:45:16.720 Could you imagine?

00:45:17.880 I say to my friends, I work a lot with, across religions, right?

00:45:20.940 I work in the Middle East a lot.

00:45:22.200 So I tell my Muslim friends and my Jewish friends the same thing.

00:45:25.980 And then no one ever gets offended.

00:45:27.240 What I say is, Muslim is, Islam is an othering religion. 1.00

00:45:32.660 And others, there's us, and then others.

00:45:37.240 Judaism, others themselves, right? 0.99

00:45:40.160 We're set aside.

00:45:42.640 Christianity says there's no other.

00:45:46.220 There's no other.

00:45:48.060 We're a family.

00:45:50.280 And we're the human family.

00:45:51.820 And the idea that there are Christians that have told me that when I hold that belief, when I say the Jew is not my other, the Muslim is not my other, the Jew is not my other, that in some way, that's anti-Semitic.

00:46:10.480 It's quite unusual to me.

00:46:12.940 Hannah Errant, who is, to me, probably the most, one of the most beautiful humans of the past 100 years.

00:46:18.900 She was a Jew. 1.00

00:46:19.940 She was a Zionist.

00:46:20.800 She was a German Jew.

00:46:21.840 She barely escaped the Gestapo.

00:46:24.300 She was a student of Heidegger's.

00:46:25.980 She was also his mistress and is a young girl.

00:46:30.180 And he ends up becoming a Nazi.

00:46:32.140 Can you imagine the most celebrated philosopher in the world who you admire?

00:46:38.860 And you're a young Jewish girl, and you love him, and she loved him.

00:46:41.780 And he, I guess, in some way adored her, then becomes a Nazi. 0.60

00:46:47.240 She has to flee her country.

00:46:48.900 She's betrayed by the Germany she loves.

00:46:51.140 As a young girl, she was not a Zionist.

00:46:53.120 She was, through herself, into Greek philosophy and Plato, sort of a rejection, I think, of her past.

00:46:59.220 Her classmate, of interesting, with Heidegger, was Leo Strauss.

00:47:02.960 Can you imagine being in that classroom?

00:47:04.360 Leo Strauss, Hannah Errant, and Heidegger.

00:47:07.440 And Leo Strauss actually had a crush on her.

00:47:09.740 I have a crush on her.

00:47:11.360 You know, she died in 1974 as an old woman, so I'm safe. 1.00

00:47:14.380 But she is easy to adore.

00:47:16.180 She became a Zionist, you know, and then was quickly disillusioned. 0.54

00:47:21.160 The Mossad actually took out assassination attempts on her.

00:47:24.360 She wrote The Banality of Evil.

00:47:26.060 I think it was for Vanity Fair, a brilliant essay saying, Eichmann isn't a monster.

00:47:32.520 He's just thoughtless.

00:47:36.620 And it's nobodies that do the biggest evils, not monsters.

00:47:40.640 And she said, you can spot a nobody because they speak in cliches.

00:47:45.680 And one of the things I've noticed about Christian Zionism is the very shallow way in which they quote scripture. 0.95

00:47:53.760 It's very thoughtless.

00:47:56.180 I was just, my children do a homeschool enrichment program at a local, quote-unquote, non-denominational church.

00:48:03.860 There's no such thing, right?

00:48:04.840 Obviously, their theology and their traditions descend from a denomination.

00:48:11.060 But they're lovely, and they have a great program.

00:48:15.220 But in it, at the parent-teacher's meeting, we got this, like, lecture about how we need to begin praying for Israel,

00:48:21.760 that the poor Israelis are suffering of her like before. 0.70

00:48:25.520 Never a mention of the Christians, you know.

00:48:27.360 And the woman said, we support Israel because God promised us he'd bless us, and we all need blessings.

00:48:34.240 So let's bless Israel so God blesses us.

00:48:36.740 And I thought, that's gross. 0.96

00:48:40.560 Like, they're a lucky rabbit's foot that you rub.

00:48:44.400 It's weird.

00:48:46.100 You know, but what the gospel teaches me, what Catholic tradition and the examples of the saints teach me,

00:48:53.640 is that when I stand with the vulnerable, I suffer with them.

00:48:56.960 I could even suffer martyrdom.

00:48:58.940 My reputation can be destroyed.

00:49:00.760 I can suffer calumny and detraction.

00:49:03.380 Okay, bring it on.

00:49:05.820 If I'm helping you, John Henry, if I, if John, if I find out you have cancer, I'm like, I'm going to call John Henry.

00:49:12.360 You know, when you call your friend who has cancer and wish him well, you get a blessing.

00:49:18.180 I'm not thinking about you, John Henry.

00:49:19.760 I'm thinking I get it.

00:49:20.600 It's so bizarre to me, so narcissistic and odd.

00:49:25.700 She's a lovely woman.

00:49:26.960 But I heard the cliches that she spoke a thousand times.

00:49:31.260 And I just thought back to Hannah Arendt.

00:49:34.620 She says, people who speak in cliches are dangerous because they're thoughtless.

00:49:41.820 They've been indoctrinated and they're just like regurgitating indoctrination without thought.

00:49:50.560 You know, what she said about Eichmann is he was just thoughtless.

00:49:53.440 He was actually a young man.

00:49:54.900 He was a Zionist.

00:49:56.320 He had Zionist family members, Jewish family members who really helped him as a young man.

00:50:00.720 So why did he commit these atrocious crimes and facilitating the sending of Jews to gas chambers? 0.95

00:50:07.420 She came to understand that he just wanted to impress his boss.

00:50:11.060 He wanted to have an easy day at work.

00:50:13.480 He wanted to go along to get along with his peer group.

00:50:15.860 No viciousness, no cruelty, simply going along to get along.

00:50:21.680 And it's quite sorrowful.

00:50:23.300 But I think most of a friend of mine who's a very influential evangelical, I called him about another thing.

00:50:29.640 I engaged him on some of his posts on social media and said, you need to know about what's happening to Christians in Gaza and the West Bank.

00:50:37.020 He's a very good man, a very honest man, one of the most noble men I know.

00:50:39.480 And he just actually said to me, Jason, I'm embarrassed to say, I don't know much about the issues.

00:50:45.460 I just have, I see them as part of our coalition.

00:50:49.400 And I guess it's like another bumper sticker I throw on, on, on, you know, on the car because they're an ally and on the team.

00:50:57.120 But I haven't thought much about it.

00:50:58.440 And I promise you, I'm going to think, I'm going to think about it.

00:51:01.260 When people begin to think about what's happening in the Middle East.

00:51:04.300 And by the way, Khalil and the young woman I interviewed there, both independently and separately, shared with me that they're really afraid of the blowback on Jews around the world when the world understands, begins to recognize what happened in Gaza.

00:51:21.080 Which I thought was so beautiful and so thoughtful.

00:51:23.720 How could somebody that has a horrible toothache worry about, I might get a toothache someday, you know?

00:51:29.040 But that's a legitimate concern.

00:51:30.960 So we need to, the devil is a judo master and we have to keep our balance and we have to, you know, in the Catholic space, I see Catholics swept away by anti-Arab, anti-Muslim prejudice and vile hatred.

00:51:49.120 I see the same thing with Catholics who are swept away by Jew hatred and anti-Semitism.

00:51:54.660 Someone I look to for guidance on how to deal with Zionism is St. Maximilian Kolbe. 0.99

00:52:02.960 St. Maximilian Kolbe gave his priesthood to the conversion of Jews and Freemasons, died in Auschwitz, landed in Auschwitz because of standing up to the Nazis and speaking up for the Jews.

00:52:13.560 But in the 20s and 30s, he was an outspoken critic of political Zionism.

00:52:20.000 And you never see, his response to that was to pray for, love, and convert the Jews.

00:52:26.040 That was his, you'll never see St. Maximilian Kolbe spew hatred.

00:52:31.940 Who is that one lawyer, Zionist who, he went to Epstein Island, what is his name? 0.66

00:52:37.800 Dershowitz, Alan Dershowitz, Alan Dershowitz was a big critic of St. Maximilian Kolbe during his canonization, saying he was an anti-Semite because he wanted to convert Jews.

00:52:48.000 So, well, here's the deal, as a Christian, we want to convert everyone we meet, period.

00:52:53.500 I want everyone to know Jesus Christ.

00:52:56.040 Now, I don't go, even with my work in the Middle East, I'm working in Afghanistan or I'm rescuing people.

00:53:00.360 I'm not, I'm not proselytizing people in Muslim countries, putting them at risk.

00:53:05.560 But what I do do, I hope, is just how I treat them, how I love them, makes them ask questions.

00:53:13.680 You know, as St. Francis, I don't know if it's true, but we're told St. Francis said to preach the gospel all the time, use words only when necessary.

00:53:20.560 I use words a lot, but through the Vulnerable People Project, we actually don't proselytize for many reasons.

00:53:26.160 I don't think when you're pulling someone out of a burning building, it's a good time to try to get them to change the religion that everyone in their community who's suffering along with them holds to and their grandparents held to.

00:53:36.880 What we do at that moment is just try to love them courageously and consistently with fortitude and over long periods of time.

00:53:46.360 Truth has a power of its own.

00:53:48.680 It moves hearts and saves lives.

00:53:50.680 I'm pleased to announce the launch of the new LSN TV app, which can bring all LifeSite News' top video content direct to your phone, tablet, computer, and TV so that you can bypass the sensors and keep fighting with us for life, faith, family, and freedom.

00:54:07.440 Don't be alone in the darkness.

00:54:09.280 We've been cancelled.

00:54:10.520 Fight the cancellation.

00:54:11.920 Download the app.

00:54:14.960 You know, St. Maximilian Kolbe, to me, is just a great example.

00:54:17.640 I know a lot of young Catholics especially are swept away by these lately, you can see it, enthusiasms of Jew hatred or anti-Arab hate.

00:54:26.140 Well, the first Christians were Jews and Arabs. 0.99

00:54:28.440 Guys, it's quite silly. 0.87

00:54:31.200 When you look at the Arab, I had a prominent Catholic journalist tell me that the Palestinians aren't really Christians. 0.94

00:54:38.800 They've been Arabized. 0.93

00:54:40.540 And I was like, maybe you're not really a Christian.

00:54:44.080 You've just been Europeanized. 0.87

00:54:45.640 Europeanized.

00:54:46.520 What are you talking about?

00:54:48.260 When you see the odd customs and traditions that seem odd to us of the Orthodox churches and the Catholics in Gaza, in Jerusalem, in the West Bank,

00:54:59.800 yeah, it's probably closer to what the apostles and the church fathers knew than, you know, than my old parish that looked a lot like a Jehovah's Witness hall.

00:55:11.820 You know what I mean?

00:55:12.380 Come on.

00:55:13.220 I mean, come on, guys.

00:55:14.480 Get over yourselves.

00:55:15.420 We've got to get over ourselves.

00:55:17.000 John Henry, I want to say one thing.

00:55:20.320 The Jews, the Samaritans, you know, there's still Samaritans in the world.

00:55:26.700 Like, it's unbelievable.

00:55:27.600 I call those trad Jews. 0.99

00:55:30.200 It's the first temple.

00:55:31.540 We don't go to the second temple.

00:55:33.020 We're not even worried about the third temple.

00:55:34.500 These are trad Jews, right? 1.00

00:55:35.580 There is Druze, which I've seen reports from geneticists that the Druze are actually probably the closest descendants ethnically to the Jews of the time of Jesus, second to the Samaritans and then the Christian Palestinians.

00:55:54.480 It's quite fascinating.

00:55:56.180 But the Arabs, the Jews, the Christians, the Muslims, the Yazidis, all the people in the Middle East have been ambushed by history.

00:56:04.220 And the line that we've been given that they're just a violent, uncivilized, barbaric people is, it's just that it's propaganda.

00:56:10.860 You know, with the fall of the Ottoman Empire, it's been a bit chaotic for the past 100 years, where for long stretches of time, they lived well together.

00:56:23.280 There were always enthusiasms of violence and cruelty that erupted.

00:56:26.920 But we can look to the West, to World War I, World War II.

00:56:30.680 I mean, it's just been relentless.

00:56:31.900 Our wars, you know, but they've been ambushed by history.

00:56:36.260 So there's something that we don't want to do.

00:56:38.540 I don't want to do as a Christian man. 1.00

00:56:40.140 He's just a citizen man of the United States.

00:56:45.040 I don't want to weaponize history.

00:56:48.100 And we see on both sides of the Palestinian-Israeli debate.

00:56:53.440 And every argument in the Middle East, the weaponization of history is very complex.

00:57:00.220 You know, Britain, France, and Russia devised a scheme, the Sykes-Picot Agreement,

00:57:05.400 to divide the Middle East, to keep it manageable and easy to govern and exploit. 0.98

00:57:12.200 It's a fact.

00:57:13.360 In 1916, we've all meddled in the region.

00:57:16.720 I don't believe that the Western powers care at all for the Israelis.

00:57:20.080 And I don't care.

00:57:20.720 I don't believe Iran cares at all for the Arab Sunni Muslims.

00:57:25.520 You see the powers of the world exploiting grievances to serve their own interests,

00:57:32.900 not the interests of the people that live there.

00:57:35.600 But as a Christian man, I want to serve the interests of vulnerable people,

00:57:40.600 not the interests of power, nuclear powers, massive media companies.

00:57:46.520 No, no, no, no.

00:57:47.020 I want to serve the interests of the vulnerable people.

00:57:50.440 So we don't want to weaponize history.

00:57:52.760 And it can be weaponized in every direction.

00:57:55.240 We don't want to plant landmines for our grandchildren to step on. 1.00

00:57:59.300 There have been enough landmines planted in the decades back.

00:58:05.200 What we want to plant are olive trees.

00:58:07.580 We want to promote peace.

00:58:09.560 We want to promote goodwill.

00:58:10.920 It's easy for us to say, I'm sure that there are Arabs and Jews, Christians and Muslims

00:58:17.580 watching this from the region who go easy for you to say, buddy.

00:58:21.760 And that's true.

00:58:23.180 It is easy for me to say.

00:58:25.840 But sometimes you need somebody who can step aside and say, listen,

00:58:30.120 this is what's in the best interest of everyone who lives there.

00:58:32.980 How do we maneuver our way out of this minefield?

00:58:36.380 I don't know if I know.

00:58:37.520 I have ideas.

00:58:38.580 I've written a lot about it.

00:58:39.660 But we're not even to the point yet where we have the powers of the world agreeing

00:58:45.540 that we should thoughtfully extricate the peoples of Israel and Palestine, 1.00

00:58:53.860 of Lebanon and Syria and Iraq out of this minefield.

00:58:59.080 It seems as if we're happy, them living in a minefield,

00:59:03.800 and we're ever more eager to sell them more landmines to plant. 0.80

00:59:06.920 So as Christians, we are about peace.

00:59:11.740 We want to be peacemakers.

00:59:13.600 By the way, they tell you you're blessed, you know, if you support a second, you know,

00:59:18.420 this nation state on the other side of the world.

00:59:19.760 I say, I thought blessed are the peacemakers.

00:59:23.000 So if we want to be blessed, John Henry, let's be peacemakers.

00:59:26.580 And to that note, I wrote a book, if I can shamelessly plug it,

00:59:29.900 The Great Campaign Against the Great Reset.

00:59:31.820 I wanted non-Catholics to read this book, a better title would have been The Mystical Body 0.99

00:59:36.740 of Christ Against the Mystical Body of Antichrist.

00:59:40.340 But I think The Great Campaign Against the Great Reset, it's saying the same thing.

00:59:44.560 And in this, I share, I deploy Catholic social teaching against the ideologies in the world 0.73

00:59:49.580 that are driving us into World War III, that are driving us into chaos and poverty and war.

00:59:57.340 And so I'd like folks just to read this if you can.

01:00:00.280 And thanks to you, John Henry, I cannot tell you the generosity of LifeSite News and your

01:00:04.600 life funders have given us the ability to serve in so many ways.

01:00:10.020 And it costs us $36,000 a truck to get into Gaza.

01:00:15.340 We're looking at funding the evacuation if the community wants to be evacuated from North

01:00:21.180 Gaza.

01:00:21.880 Again, a lot of Christians in the West will say, why don't they just leave?

01:00:25.020 Because they've learned since 1948, when they leave, they can never go back.

01:00:31.040 And they're tired of being ethnically cleansed from the home of their ancestors.

01:00:35.140 Look, I'm an Anglo.

01:00:36.240 My family moves every 10 years.

01:00:38.040 We left Norway.

01:00:38.900 We went to Normandy.

01:00:39.780 We left Normandy.

01:00:40.700 We went to the British Isles.

01:00:41.760 We left the British Isles.

01:00:42.860 We went to Sicily.

01:00:43.860 We went to the United States.

01:00:45.020 And my family's been bopping around ever since.

01:00:46.940 We went to the moon, run our way to the Mars.

01:00:48.860 But some peoples are like, we like where we live.

01:00:52.320 We've been here forever.

01:00:53.440 We don't want to leave.

01:00:55.340 So we don't want to perpetuate ethnic cleansing. 0.95

01:00:57.420 But sadly, I think it looks like Israel is going to ethnically cleanse them, either by 0.99

01:01:02.600 killing them all, or we're going to have to remove them. 0.99

01:01:06.580 So I want to end on this. 1.00

01:01:07.760 What do we want?

01:01:08.920 We want Israel to commit to stop bombing churches, stop bombing hospitals, and stop bombing 0.68

01:01:14.620 schools.

01:01:15.420 And you people stop believing because they tell you there's Hamas hiding behind every child.

01:01:20.060 And Hamas has a tunnel under the churches.

01:01:23.320 They don't.

01:01:24.180 Okay?

01:01:24.560 They don't.

01:01:25.380 Stop bombing our churches.

01:01:27.060 Stop bombing Christian schools. 1.00

01:01:29.140 Stop killing Palestinian women and children and men who are civilians. 0.99

01:01:33.020 Stop it.

01:01:34.160 Stop killing aid workers.

01:01:36.460 Stop killing doctors and nurses. 0.98

01:01:38.840 Stop raping people. 1.00

01:01:40.700 Stop the debate on your mainstream television programs that rape is okay. 0.74

01:01:45.320 And if you don't stop, we as Americans should stop funding them altogether.

01:01:51.840 Why that country needs billions and billions and billions of dollars to beat up on an embattled 0.94

01:01:57.980 people in a concentration camp where half of them are children?

01:02:01.580 I don't know.

01:02:03.240 And number two, if they want to be evacuated, VPP is committed to evacuating them.

01:02:07.260 This is going to cost millions of dollars.

01:02:09.500 Millions of dollars.

01:02:10.520 But John Henry, you know, we at VPP, I don't know why God has given us the privilege to

01:02:16.160 serve the descendants of the apostles.

01:02:18.640 I'm not a good man or a great man.

01:02:21.480 We're not the world's biggest apostolate.

01:02:23.420 But I am grateful.

01:02:24.780 I am really grateful to serve them.

01:02:28.220 It is an honor.

01:02:29.660 And when you guys donate to the LifeFunder, you're serving them too.

01:02:34.360 And it is quite a privilege.

01:02:36.520 It is quite a privilege to do this.

01:02:38.440 And I would like to invite all of you to go to the LifeFunder and participate.

01:02:41.840 It's $36,000 a truck.

01:02:44.140 It's been hard to get trucks.

01:02:45.300 And we're about to send in our second truck.

01:02:47.240 I wanted to do 30 trucks this month.

01:02:50.900 But some folks from the community said, hold that.

01:02:54.700 We're really talking amongst ourselves.

01:02:57.180 We may just want to be evacuated.

01:02:59.660 So we're going to be in a major fundraising mode.

01:03:02.380 And LifeSide News has just, with nothing in it for you, have been very generous to share

01:03:09.980 our LifeFunders that you've created with your people.

01:03:13.720 And we're quite grateful.

01:03:15.240 We're very grateful for that.

01:03:16.340 If you head over now to LifeFunder.com slash AidTrucksGaza, you'll find the project there

01:03:24.340 that you can support Jason and his awesome work.

01:03:27.100 Jason, you said you had a final video for us.

01:03:28.740 Yeah, this is just a montage video that my social media team put together that just,

01:03:33.920 it begins with Ecclesiastes 4.1.

01:03:36.340 I looked all over the world and all I see is suffering and oppression.

01:03:41.060 And on the side of the oppressor is power.

01:03:43.540 And on the side of the oppressed, there is no one.

01:03:46.980 Well, we want to answer Solomon's plea to say there is Jesus Christ.

01:03:53.100 And there's the mystical body of Christ.

01:03:55.180 And I can promise you that in our lifetime, we could see the tables turn.

01:04:03.140 And if the tables turn and viciousness and cruelty is happening to the families of Tel Aviv,

01:04:07.620 we'll be there for them.

01:04:09.440 As we are for the Jewish communities in North Africa, where we guard their synagogues. 1.00

01:04:14.140 VPP has security guards and cameras as we do in Catholic parishes.

01:04:17.180 But it begins with Ecclesiastes 4.1.

01:04:20.080 As Christians, when we have a co-worker that no one talks to, or if you're a college student,

01:04:25.320 there's someone with no friend, we are the people that kiss lepers, kneel down next to adulterers.

01:04:31.500 When we stand with those, the world is cast aside, the child in the womb. 1.00

01:04:35.460 It is so interesting that LifeSite News, we don't even communicate, John Henry.

01:04:39.320 We don't talk a lot.

01:04:40.820 But whenever there's like some embattled community somewhere in the world, I'm like,

01:04:43.660 hey, LifeSite News is there too.

01:04:44.920 People ask me, Jason, where did you learn how to do what you do?

01:04:50.060 And was it your time in the army?

01:04:51.460 Was it that?

01:04:51.880 No, I'm an anti-abortion activist.

01:04:55.480 I stand, since I was a teenager, I've defended human beings who will never know me, never thank me.

01:05:04.560 I'll never be called a great guy for it.

01:05:06.480 I'll be spit at.

01:05:07.900 And half the people that we save will grow up to hate us and be on the other side.

01:05:13.600 That's where I learned to do the work of the Vulnerable People Project.

01:05:18.400 And of course, the pro-life movement exists because it emanates from the social teaching of the Catholic Church.

01:05:24.380 So let's just together stand with those the world has forgotten, from the child in the womb to the children in Gaza.

01:05:30.480 And we're going to end off with that clip.

01:05:32.740 So I wanted to, before we do that, Jason, just thank you.

01:05:35.200 Thank you on behalf of LifeSite, of all of our donors who are able to contribute to your project and therefore partner with you in helping the Christians and everyone else in the Holy Land, this land of Christ's own birth and his life.

01:05:50.140 And we're really called to look to that land in a particular way because, in a lot of ways, it's our heritage as well.

01:05:57.100 Why don't we, before we get to the final clip, we'll just pray, pray Hail Mary together just for the Christians in Gaza that are suffering so badly, for the recognition of their plight, that their own brothers and sisters, Catholics, Christians around the world, wake up and see them and see the tragedy that they're going through.

01:06:18.440 Unite ourselves with them and do whatever we can to support them.

01:06:21.100 Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

01:06:25.080 Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

01:06:31.500 Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

01:06:37.800 God bless you, my friend. Thank you.

01:06:39.920 Thank you, brother.

01:06:40.920 And thanks to all of you.

01:06:42.640 We'll see you next time, and watch this clip.

01:06:51.100 We'll see you next time, and we'll see you next time. 0.97

01:07:21.100 Just to get targeted mercilessly and killing innocent people who had nothing to do with anything with them. 0.92

01:07:47.420 We couldn't believe that Israel bombed the church.

01:07:51.720 One older woman and her daughter, holding her hand to take her to the restroom, were shot in the head and killed, both of them, by Israeli snipers.

01:08:01.360 And seven Catholic men who tried to come out and kill them, were shot in the legs.

01:08:05.300 Christianity in Gaza is something that has been there forever.

01:08:23.280 Part of the combat of the church was bombed, and my sister was there.

01:08:27.280 And I lost relatives in this bombing.

01:08:29.320 And then comes some Christian in America to tell me that that's the will of God for us. 1.00

01:08:33.880 I'm a Christian who used to be in Gaza.

01:08:36.680 We're just human beings, just like you are.

01:08:38.700 And we want to live our lives in peace.

01:08:42.060 And we want this war to end.

01:08:43.980 Because we have nothing to do with it.

01:08:46.320 Don't put people in your way.

01:08:47.960 You're killing innocent people that have nothing to do with anything you're going through.

01:08:51.800 You're killing innocent people that have nothing to do with it.

01:09:21.800 You're having nothing to do with it.

01:09:39.580 You're killing innocent people that have nothing to do with it.
