The John-Henry Westen Show - 'No Catholic can vote for Joe Biden'： Pro-life priests explain

00:00:00.200 The top pro-life priests in the United States have said that no Catholic can vote for Joe Biden.

00:00:06.080 Yet in campaign videos, Biden is touting his Catholicism over and over again.

00:00:10.960 Last week, a U.S. bishop tweeted that Biden is not a Catholic.

00:00:14.400 But no surprise, homosexuality-promoting priest Father James Martin insisted Biden is a Catholic. 0.85

00:00:20.920 But seriously, with all the gaffes, the sex abuse scandal, and the lies surrounding Joe Biden,

00:00:26.360 how can it be that he can be the selected Democratic candidate for this all-important election?

00:00:33.460 We're discussing all that and much more on this episode of The John Henry Weston Show.

00:00:37.520 Stay tuned.

00:00:38.080 Before we begin, I just wanted to announce our newly launched internship opportunity at LifeSite News.

00:01:02.280 It is now available, but space is limited, so please apply today at www.lifesitenews.com slash internship.

00:01:12.980 Let's begin, as we always do, with the sign of the cross.

00:01:16.320 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

00:01:24.760 Joe Biden.

00:01:26.200 Really? Come on.

00:01:27.580 Is that the best candidate that the Democrats could come up with?

00:01:30.460 This election, I think every side says, is perhaps the most important.

00:01:36.320 Sometimes people say it's the most important in U.S. history.

00:01:39.260 So it seems so strange that Biden's the selection.

00:01:44.520 It's almost like it's a joke, but in fact, it's no joke.

00:01:48.420 His gaffes are remarkable for someone running for president, for sure.

00:01:52.560 But not for someone of his advanced age.

00:01:55.720 We have this notion that somehow if you're poor, you cannot do it.

00:02:01.580 Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids. 1.00

00:02:05.400 Hold these truths to be self-evident.

00:02:07.240 Sounds corny.

00:02:08.280 Not a joke.

00:02:09.020 Think about it.

00:02:10.100 We hold these truths to be self-evident.

00:02:12.720 All men and women created by it go, you know the thing. 0.97

00:02:16.660 Yesterday, you said you accepted Bernie's apology.

00:02:20.420 Now you're attacking him.

00:02:21.260 Why are you doing that?

00:02:21.920 Go, go, go, go, go.

00:02:23.020 Why wasn't his apology enough, Mr. Vice President?

00:02:26.520 Why attack Sanders?

00:02:27.960 Why, why, why, why, why, why?

00:02:29.480 You're getting nervous, man.

00:02:30.940 Calm down.

00:02:31.940 It's okay.

00:02:32.640 It's a long way until November.

00:02:34.200 We got more questions.

00:02:36.080 You got more questions.

00:02:37.120 But I tell you, if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you 0.95

00:02:41.440 ain't black.

00:02:42.040 At nearly 78, he's actually doing remarkably well under the strain of running for president.

00:02:50.060 However, his lack of honesty has plagued him throughout his political career.

00:02:56.000 What law school did you attend and where did you place in that class?

00:02:59.880 And the other question is, could you quickly, I think we also can figure out right now.

00:03:03.220 I think I probably have a much higher IQ than you do, I suspect.

00:03:06.540 I went to law school on a full academic scholarship.

00:03:09.680 The only one in my, in my class, I'd have a full academic scholarship.

00:03:14.220 In the first year in law school, I decided I didn't want to be in law school and ended

00:03:17.560 up in the bottom two-thirds of my class.

00:03:19.920 And then decided I wanted to stay, went back to law school, and in fact ended up in the

00:03:23.960 top half of my class.

00:03:25.440 I won the international moot court competition.

00:03:27.920 I was the outstanding student in the political science department at the end of my year.

00:03:31.640 I graduated with three degrees from undergraduate school and 165 credits, only 123 credits.

00:03:37.020 And I'd be delighted to sit down and compare my IQ to yours if you'd like, Frank.

00:03:41.260 If I could say one thing.

00:03:42.440 Biden now concedes he did not graduate in the top half of his law school class, that

00:03:46.920 he does not have three degrees from college, and that he was not named outstanding political

00:03:51.000 science student in college.

00:03:52.820 Newsweek says Biden actually went to school on a half scholarship, ended up near the bottom

00:03:56.980 of his class, and won only one degree, not the...

00:03:59.700 Even the liberal newspapers and commentators are calling him out for his lies.

00:04:05.640 I've been in and out of Afghanistan and Iraq 28 times.

00:04:11.600 I've been in and out of Iraq and Afghanistan over 29 times.

00:04:15.800 I've been in and out of Afghanistan and Iraq over 30 times.

00:04:19.140 Now, his creepy touching and kissing videos are actually so cringeworthy that I feel like

00:04:25.000 running out of the room when they're played.

00:04:26.960 Though I'd be very sorry.

00:04:36.560 Hello, Martin.

00:04:40.420 We'll see you then.

00:04:41.300 Thank you.

00:04:41.680 Thank you.

00:04:41.960 Bye.

00:04:42.440 Until then.

00:04:46.460 Bye.

00:04:54.400 but even hardcore leftists are saying that they believe the horrific sexual abuse testimony of

00:05:08.040 his former aide tara reid but still are going to vote for biden nonetheless in their minds

00:05:13.600 he's a sexual abuser but they're still going to vote for him that sounds hard to believe i know

00:05:19.600 but let me quote for you i don't want an investigation i want a coronation of joe biden 0.98

00:05:26.320 end quote that was martin tolchin a former new york times journalist who helped found the hill

00:05:34.160 and politico he said and i quote i don't want justice whatever that may be i want to win the

00:05:41.180 removal of donald trump from office end quote another liberal lisa bloom a trial lawyer who 0.88

00:05:48.660 previously represented women who claimed president donald trump sexually harassed them

00:05:53.600 wrote on twitter that she believes biden assaulted reid but will support him anyway in order to fight

00:06:00.200 trump her tweet reads and i kid you not you can read it yourself i believe you tara reid you have

00:06:06.880 people who remember you told them about this decades ago we know he is handsy and you're not asking for

00:06:13.320 money you've obviously struggled mightily with this i still have to fight trump so i will still

00:06:19.300 support joe but i believe you and i'm sorry end quote given all of that you would be forgiven for

00:06:28.100 thinking it shocking that earlier this month biden released a second campaign video touting his

00:06:33.880 supposed catholic faith and friendship with pope francis life site reporter paul smeaton reports that the

00:06:39.740 short video released last week shows biden and the pope smiling and greeting each other while a voiceover

00:06:46.100 of biden speaks about an occasion when the two men met at the vatican i just walked out the side door

00:06:52.140 of saint peter's basilica after a meeting and getting an opportunity to shake hands and have a brief

00:06:57.940 conversation with pope francis the first people i saw were a group of nuns who to me epitomize

00:07:05.300 everything pope francis talked about in his homily and what he stands for about generosity to other

00:07:11.560 people about reaching out about making it a point to understand that we are a brother's keeper and

00:07:17.420 that's what in my experience being raised as a catholic and educated by the nuns that's what

00:07:23.040 those lovely women i'm talking to symbolize well back in february he released a similar campaign video

00:07:29.860 featuring pope francis in which biden says he goes to mass and has the audacity to say he prays the

00:07:36.200 rosary and his faith is what has helped him through the most difficult moments of his life

00:07:40.640 and for me my religion is just an enormous sense of solace i go to mass and i say the rosary i find it to

00:07:52.580 be incredibly comforting given biden's extreme position on abortion which is according to the

00:08:00.960 faith he claims to profess the murder of innocent babies in the womb biden's claim to be catholic is

00:08:06.900 about as authentic as someone with a penchant for killing puppies claiming to be an animal rights

00:08:11.960 activist one u.s bishop took to twitter to call out biden for his fake catholicism bishop thomas

00:08:18.040 tobin of providence rhode island tweeted last week biden harris first time in a while that's

00:08:23.660 the democratic ticket hasn't had a catholic on it sad bishop tobin's tweet garnered many anti-catholic

00:08:30.780 responses some even accusing the bishop of pedophilia it was also not surprising that

00:08:37.160 homosexuality promoting father james martin who by the way has agreed to speak at the democrat convention

00:08:42.700 responded to bishop tobin with a false correction of the bishop mr biden said father martin is a

00:08:49.200 baptized catholic thus he is a catholic well by definition bishop tobin is correct and surprise

00:08:57.360 surprise father martin is not the 1943 encyclical of pope pious the 12th on the catholic church called

00:09:04.260 the mystical body of christ defines a member of the catholic church specifically to exclude those like 0.94

00:09:10.860 biden who claim to be catholic but separate themselves from the unity of the true faith

00:09:15.520 the encyclical reads at paragraph 22 actually only those are to be included as members of the church

00:09:22.540 who have been baptized and profess the true faith and who have not been so unfortunate as to separate

00:09:29.620 themselves from the unity of the body or being excluded by legitimate authority for grave faults

00:09:35.380 committed end quote that is also the sentiment of the top pro-life priests in the country

00:09:42.420 father frank pavot national director of priests for life told life site news biden's quote failure to

00:09:48.180 protect the unborn puts him not only in conflict with the catholic faith but with the founding principles

00:09:54.300 of america the very meaning of public service and basic human decency you can't kill babies and you

00:10:00.400 can't authorize anyone else to do so in this video you'll see now father pavone says clearly biden is

00:10:07.480 not living as a catholic hi i'm father frank pavone in this year's presidential race democrat candidate

00:10:15.280 joe biden will try to appeal to catholics by saying he's one of us we do not want a religious test for

00:10:22.240 public office but neither do we want candidates deceiving us the catechism says respect and protection

00:10:29.100 must be insured for the unborn child yet joe biden does not want to protect a single unborn child

00:10:36.580 from abortion he is not living as a catholic as for voting not only can catholics not vote for 0.78

00:10:45.180 biden in good conscience said father pavone but they can't vote for democrats period and neither can

00:10:50.540 anyone else it's time to stop pretending we can be neutral the democrat party has set itself up

00:10:56.180 against the church against the unborn and against america they do not deserve one ounce of power in 0.93

00:11:04.300 this country said father pavone and anyone who gives it to them shares the guilt of all the evil they do

00:11:10.860 and that starts with our religious leaders father stephen imbarato an activist pro-life catholic

00:11:17.900 priest a regular on ewtn and a member of the red rose rescues has said quote joe biden has already

00:11:25.320 rightfully so been refused communion he is a walking and talking scandal to his faith and has rightly 1.00

00:11:32.200 been refused the eucharist because he persists in ongoing mortal sins thus separating himself from

00:11:39.140 communion with the church he scandalizes the catholic faith in so many ways that objectively he actually

00:11:46.400 seems anti-catholic in his beliefs end quote father imbarato said simply no catholic can vote for joe

00:11:54.700 biden he added i'm also begging catholics to not risk the grave sin of scandal by supporting this man

00:12:01.060 with their vote thus we would be heaping more scandal upon more scandal upon scandal many people he said

00:12:09.360 respond to my comments with what about trump he answered this way this is not about trump trump

00:12:16.280 isn't even a catholic this is a catholic issue a catholic can't vote for biden whether they feel

00:12:22.180 in good conscience they can or can't vote for trump he noted that between 45 and 48 of catholics voted for

00:12:31.100 hillary clinton four years later he said the situation with biden as a catholic is much worse and the choice

00:12:37.800 is much clearer in so far as not who any catholic can vote for but who every catholic can't vote for

00:12:45.600 no catholic can vote for joe biden end quote

00:12:49.300 well let's actually take a look at biden's record on life and family by the way those are the top two

00:12:56.460 issues for catholics in political life as was explained by pope benedict the 16th while he was

00:13:02.040 actually still cardinal ratsinger under pope john paul ii on abortion biden has been up front about

00:13:08.780 his agenda to ensure the so-called right to what he calls a woman's reproductive health by which he

00:13:13.540 means permission to kill babies in the womb in his agenda for women released in july biden promised to 0.96

00:13:19.620 restore domestic and overseas funding to the abortion industry cut by trump biden said he will quote

00:13:26.620 work to codify roe v wade and his justice department will do everything in its power to

00:13:33.300 stop the rash of state laws that so blatantly violate roe v wade end quote the largest abortion

00:13:39.940 operation in the united states planned parenthood has naturally endorsed biden in their statement

00:13:45.000 planned parenthood touted the former vice president's support for expanding access to contraception

00:13:49.680 increasing legal protections for access to abortion promoting comprehensive sex education

00:13:54.940 and reversing the trump administration's rule prohibiting title x taxpayer funds from being

00:14:00.080 given to organizations that refer for abortions prior to the announcement being made alexis mcgill

00:14:06.360 johnson the acting president of planned parenthood told npr that november's presidential contest is

00:14:12.480 literally a life and death election end quote during the coronavirus crisis when all sorts of medical

00:14:20.320 procedures were suspended due to the pandemic biden wanted to ensure the continuation of abortion

00:14:26.140 quote we need to ensure that women have access to all health services during this crisis

00:14:31.420 quote he said the democratic presidential candidates added that quote abortion is an essential health

00:14:38.780 care service end quote historically biden had a slight qualm with forcing americans to pay

00:14:45.500 for aborting children abroad but during the campaign he flip-flopped to go against what is known as the

00:14:51.720 hyde amendment he said quote if i believe health care is a right as i do i can no longer support an

00:14:58.360 amendment that makes that right dependent on someone's zip code but biden's abortion pushing is even more

00:15:05.060 extreme when he traveled to kenya as us vp in 2010 he urged the then pro-life government to pass a new

00:15:12.640 constitution that would legalize abortion bribing them with the promise of funding i'll quote it for

00:15:18.960 you quote we are hopeful barack obama is hopeful i am hopeful that you will carry out these reforms to

00:15:26.360 allow money to flow end quote that was biden speaking to a crowd of kenyans when he went there to visit

00:15:32.940 in 2010 and if that's not bad enough biden was even positive on china's brutal one-child policy which as we

00:15:41.220 all know includes forced abortion and sterilization in an august address in china in 2011 biden said he

00:15:49.080 would not second guess china's coercive population control policy biden said that the chinese official

00:15:55.700 quote share a similar concern with american leaders in terms of a shaky economic outlook he said quote

00:16:02.840 you have no safety net your policy has been one which i fully understand i'm not second guessing

00:16:09.760 of one child per family said biden as life state reported at the time the implementation of china's

00:16:17.680 one-child policy is notoriously brutal with women routinely forced to undergo abortions and sterilizations

00:16:25.360 or handed crippling fines and other punishments for illegal pregnancies human rights activists say as

00:16:32.420 many as 35 000 abortions are performed in china each day nearly 10 times the rate of the united states

00:16:40.300 and in case you might think biden didn't know of the chinese one-child policy brutality biden was

00:16:46.840 actually informed by the foremost expert on the program stephen mosher who has personally witnessed

00:16:52.360 forced abortions in china has spoken himself with biden on the issue he said to life site news and i quote

00:16:59.500 i know that joe biden fully understands how women are arrested for the crime of being pregnant

00:17:04.940 how they are incarcerated and browbeaten for this crime and how they are forced to undergo abortions 0.51

00:17:11.460 and sterilizations i know because i told him so while serving as a commissioner of the u.s commission

00:17:19.440 on broadcasting to china said mosher i briefed then senator biden on population control chinese style

00:17:28.080 end quote mosher actually accused biden of clearly pandering to his chinese hosts in brushing off the

00:17:35.380 policy's moral significance this wasn't ignorance and it wasn't a gaffe biden wanted china's communist

00:17:42.380 leaders to know that he and the president that's obama he serves are more than willing to turn a blind

00:17:49.060 eye to the atrocities committed in the name of the one child policy end quote on the family issue biden has

00:17:57.100 been just as extreme biden himself boasts of having endorsed homosexual marriage in 2012 before even

00:18:03.240 barack obama on august 1st 2016 biden actually officiated at a homosexual marriage ceremony that's

00:18:11.420 a homosexual marriage ceremony holding it in the vice president's residence he then tweeted out a picture

00:18:17.640 of the two men holding hands as he looked on approvingly and he commented in the tweet saying

00:18:22.280 quote proud to marry brian and joe at my house couldn't be happier two long-time white house

00:18:29.420 staffers two great guys end quote biden announced in june that his top priority if elected will be

00:18:37.320 imposing his so-called equality act well the actual title of the document is the plan to address lgbtq

00:18:46.180 equality in america and around the world end quote there's actually an incisive analysis of the plan

00:18:53.260 at life site news paula reinhardt notes in that analysis that quote the real rub is that sexual 0.99

00:18:59.980 orientation and gender identity are granted special legal status with this power to trump religious

00:19:06.720 convictions faith-based adoption and foster care agencies would not receive federal grants unless they

00:19:14.120 agreed to place children in same-sex homes she explains that in biden's plan students would be

00:19:20.080 guaranteed access to bathrooms and locker rooms of their choosing conversion therapy becomes a

00:19:27.200 punishable offense government forms would be required to have a third option for non-binary individuals 0.99

00:19:34.060 and it would be a legal nightmare to terminate a pastor or christian school teacher who decides to

00:19:40.560 present himself as the opposite sex or live a gay lifestyle women's sports would be dominated by men 1.00

00:19:47.140 on hormones end quote biden said in a january um in january one day actually after the march for life

00:19:57.180 which he knows pro-lifers call the civil rights issue of our time he tweeted this instead quote let's be

00:20:04.320 clear transgender equality is the civil rights issue of our time end quote and biden added there is no

00:20:12.500 room for compromise when it comes to basic human rights and if that's not a dig at pro-life catholics

00:20:19.400 nothing is when he tweeted that james shup a man who underwent a sex change operation then regretted his

00:20:27.000 actions and attempted to return to normalcy warned americans what biden's vision for america really means

00:20:33.900 at life site you can read that shup who was america's first legally non-binary person and has since

00:20:41.600 reclaimed his male birth sex offered a short litany about the disastrous impact transgenderism has had 0.99

00:20:48.780 on society and in particular on women and girls he said i quote men in women's bathrooms with little

00:20:56.200 girls males winning first place in female sports males in women's homeless shelters male predators

00:21:03.780 being placed in female prisons based on feelings of being a woman he added and biden calls it the

00:21:12.520 civil rights issue of our time women do you agree there is much more to say but let me close by

00:21:18.960 appealing to those catholics who may disagree with me about the election and feel the need to vote for

00:21:24.540 biden despite all of that at 77 biden will soon be meeting his maker and now is the time to be

00:21:33.040 praying for him to convert not goading him into a position where he will do untold harm to the nation

00:21:38.620 and his own soul and the perspective of those top pro-life priests in the usa are truly catholic and

00:21:46.540 concerned for biden's soul and those of the bishops who are failing in their duty to discipline biden

00:21:52.540 father imbarato told life site news quote a more concerning potential scandal that's more concerning

00:22:00.420 than biden himself may be that of the u.s bishops that they have not forthrightly proclaimed biden's

00:22:07.920 defiance of his catholic faith what every catholic knows yet half choose to ignore because the bishops

00:22:14.880 have ignored it and remain silent about it father imbarato added the silence of the u.s bishops about joe

00:22:21.800 biden may even be a greater scandal than biden's idolatry which by which he places his intrinsically

00:22:29.400 evil political agenda before his catholicism because a case can be made that he indulges in such scandal

00:22:36.320 and idolatry because of the tacit approval from our shepherds end quote and a few bishops have indeed

00:22:44.840 warned biden called him out even saying he should be denied holy communion remember the faithful who

00:22:53.280 is publicly committing a grave sin as for instance is mr mr biden by his support of among other things of

00:23:04.880 the practice of procured abortion uh the the priest is obliged to to counsel the the person not to

00:23:14.840 approach to receive holy communion and if the person approaches to receive holy communion he has to

00:23:20.540 refuse it for a catholic to say that they are pro-choice or promoting abortion i would hope that

00:23:26.500 they would recognize that that position is inconsistent with being a good catholic a faithful catholic

00:23:32.660 but most have remained silent and that silence shows a real negligence and lack of concern about

00:23:39.920 biden's eternal salvation saint paul warns in the bible about receiving communion quote whoever

00:23:47.820 therefore eats the bread or drinks of the cup of the lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of

00:23:53.100 profaning the body and blood of the lord that's first corinthians 11 27 such a person says saint paul

00:23:59.800 drinks judgment to himself the head of human life international another great pro-life group in the

00:24:06.580 states explained in an article posted at life site news quote for this reason the church urges all

00:24:12.740 catholics to examine their consciences before receiving the eucharist to see if they're guilty of mortal sin 0.97

00:24:18.240 if they are then the church teaches they must first go to confession and that if they knowingly receive

00:24:24.400 the eucharist in a state of mortal sin they commit a further grave sin of sacrilege in most cases this

00:24:30.400 process of discernment is personal and private however the church also recognizes that there are

00:24:36.160 circumstances in which a minister of the eucharist must refuse a person holy communion for his own good

00:24:41.440 and for the good of the whole church the circumstances when this is necessary are clearly laid out

00:24:47.320 in canon law indeed canon 915 could not be any clearer quote those upon whom the penalty of

00:24:53.640 excommunication or interdict has been imposed or declared and others who obstinately persist in

00:25:00.740 manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to holy communion end quote so finally there's a petition at

00:25:07.640 life site where over 20 000 people have urged the u.s bishops to refuse holy communion to biden

00:25:13.020 we acknowledge that making a decision to exclude public figures from holy communion is not easy

00:25:18.960 but sometimes says the petition this is the only way to make them understand the error of their ways

00:25:25.340 and to preserve the church from serious scandal as one of the petition signers myself i say with all the

00:25:31.880 rest quote we do not hold ourselves up as judges over joe biden's eternal soul but we encourage you

00:25:39.080 that's to the bishops to make known one of the consequences of public and obstinate support of

00:25:45.560 abortion by our catholic politicians end quote politicians says the petition politicians hold a

00:25:52.860 special place of leadership in society affecting the lives of many people so pro-abortion politicians

00:25:58.380 who also proclaim themselves to be catholic should not think they can demean the body of christ by

00:26:05.080 promoting killing other human beings with no consequence in the end we thank the bishops for

00:26:13.020 taking leadership in this matter and we pledge to pray for the bishops and for catholic politicians

00:26:18.400 join me please in that prayer and also go over and sign that petition for life site news this is
