The John-Henry Westen Show - The long list of Donald Trump's pro-life accomplishments

00:00:00.140 Welcome to this episode of the John Henry Weston Show.

00:00:03.060 There are some pro-lifers in America who are steadfastly opposed to President Trump. 0.67

00:00:08.900 They suggest that his words and raunchy behavior in the past are just too disgusting to get over. 0.98

00:00:14.100 They believe even as president, his trash-talking opponents is unpresidential to say the least. 0.98

00:00:20.020 Some even suggest his immigration policies show him to be racist.

00:00:24.120 Well, I'll be addressing those concerns in this show.

00:00:27.040 We'll be speaking with the best-known pro-life priest in America,

00:00:31.080 Fr. Frank Pavone, about his views on the matter.

00:00:33.600 You're going to want to stay tuned.

00:00:53.260 Let's begin, as we always do, with the sign of the cross.

00:00:55.420 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

00:01:13.220 President Trump has an absolutely breathtaking list of pro-life accomplishments.

00:01:18.360 The list is in fact so long that I can't cover it all in one show

00:01:22.220 without simply reading a list of one thing after another,

00:01:25.500 and that would still take more than an hour to complete.

00:01:29.000 So, before we speak to the National Director of Priests for Life, Fr. Frank Pavone,

00:01:33.400 for his take on President Trump,

00:01:35.600 let me share with you a snapshot of President Trump's pro-life accomplishments.

00:01:40.480 Now, I know for most of you,

00:01:42.220 the first thing that you think of is President Trump

00:01:45.020 being the first president in the history of the United States

00:01:48.880 to personally attend the March for Life.

00:01:50.820 It is my profound honor to be the first president in history

00:01:56.080 to attend the March for Life.

00:02:05.900 And in that speech, the president highlighted some of the measures

00:02:10.000 he's taken to defend the life of unborn children.

00:02:13.020 Watch.

00:02:13.980 All of us here today understand an eternal truth.

00:02:17.380 Every child is a precious and sacred gift from God.

00:02:26.640 Together, we must protect, cherish, and defend

00:02:29.800 the dignity and the sanctity of every human life.

00:02:35.200 When we see the image of a baby in the womb,

00:02:38.780 we glimpse the majesty of God's creation.

00:02:43.120 And during my first week in office,

00:02:48.340 I reinstated and expanded the Mexico City policy,

00:02:52.980 and we issued a landmark pro-life rule

00:02:55.480 to govern the use of Title X taxpayer funding.

00:02:59.600 I notified Congress that I would veto any legislation

00:03:07.740 that weakens pro-life policies

00:03:10.360 or that encourages the destruction of human life.

00:03:19.700 At the United Nations, I made clear

00:03:22.560 that global bureaucrats have no business attacking

00:03:26.260 the sovereignty of nations that protect innocent life.

00:03:32.400 Unborn children have never had a stronger defender

00:03:36.980 in the White House.

00:03:44.360 We have taken decisive action to protect

00:03:47.380 the religious liberty, so important.

00:03:50.200 Religious liberty has been under attack 0.82

00:03:53.360 all over the world, and frankly,

00:03:55.960 very strongly attacked in our nation.

00:03:58.840 You see it better than anyone,

00:04:00.460 but we are stopping it,

00:04:01.940 and we're taking care of doctors, nurses,

00:04:04.940 teachers, and groups like

00:04:06.340 the Little Sisters of the Poor.

00:04:11.600 We are preserving faith-based adoption,

00:04:14.940 and to uphold our founding documents,

00:04:18.560 we have confirmed 187 federal judges

00:04:23.080 who apply the Constitution as written,

00:04:30.340 including two phenomenal Supreme Court justices,

00:04:35.700 Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.

00:04:38.580 We are protecting pro-life students'

00:04:44.540 right to free speech on college campuses.

00:04:50.600 But the president wasn't exaggerating.

00:04:53.380 He was actually just giving a small glimpse

00:04:56.080 of what he's done.

00:04:57.660 He didn't only come to the March for Life in 2020.

00:05:00.540 He addressed the March for Life

00:05:02.080 every year of his presidency

00:05:04.200 in one way or another.

00:05:05.620 Right off the bat in 2017,

00:05:07.300 he actually attacked the mainstream media

00:05:09.880 for not covering the March for Life.

00:05:12.460 When NBC attacked him,

00:05:14.580 or really asked him,

00:05:16.260 about the huge, they said,

00:05:18.440 march of women,

00:05:19.480 he responded by calling out

00:05:21.520 the mainstream media for ignoring

00:05:23.180 the as-large-or-larger March for Life.

00:05:26.680 Watch this.

00:05:28.240 Could you hear the voices

00:05:30.440 from the Women's March here in Washington?

00:05:32.820 We know there were more than a million people

00:05:34.260 who turned out,

00:05:34.960 and you are their president now, too.

00:05:37.620 That's true.

00:05:38.300 Could you hear them from the White House?

00:05:39.540 No, I couldn't hear them.

00:05:40.420 But the crowds were large,

00:05:42.160 but you're going to have a large crowd

00:05:43.180 on Friday, too,

00:05:44.140 which is mostly pro-life people.

00:05:46.380 You're going to have a lot of people

00:05:47.620 coming on Friday.

00:05:48.400 And I will say this,

00:05:49.260 and I didn't realize this,

00:05:50.580 but I was told,

00:05:52.080 you will have a very large crowd of people.

00:05:54.400 I don't know,

00:05:54.860 as large or larger.

00:05:55.960 Some people say it's going to be larger.

00:05:57.140 They're pro-life people.

00:05:59.120 And they say the press doesn't cover them.

00:06:02.100 I don't want to compare crowd sizes again.

00:06:03.860 No, you shouldn't.

00:06:04.800 But let me just tell you,

00:06:05.720 what they do say is that

00:06:06.720 the press doesn't cover them.

00:06:09.300 Trump also sent Vice President Pence

00:06:12.140 and his counselor,

00:06:13.440 Kellyanne Conway,

00:06:14.480 to speak to the March for Life

00:06:15.840 in that first year of 2017.

00:06:17.780 No previous president

00:06:19.240 had ever sent such senior representatives

00:06:21.520 to speak at the annual March for Life,

00:06:23.580 which takes place steps

00:06:25.200 from the White House every year.

00:06:27.480 Because of President Trump's actions,

00:06:30.320 the major television networks

00:06:31.900 covered the March for Life

00:06:33.220 37 times more in 2017 than in 2016.

00:06:37.860 In 2018,

00:06:39.520 Trump was the first president ever

00:06:41.500 to make a live video satellite address

00:06:44.260 to the March for Life.

00:06:45.580 Watch this.

00:06:46.580 The March for Life

00:06:48.160 is a movement born out of love.

00:06:51.080 You love your families.

00:06:52.200 You love your neighbors.

00:06:54.760 You love our nation.

00:06:56.580 And you love every child,

00:06:58.360 born and unborn,

00:06:59.700 because you believe

00:07:01.000 that every life is sacred,

00:07:03.180 that every child

00:07:04.800 is a precious gift from God.

00:07:09.600 In 2019,

00:07:11.220 there was another video

00:07:12.380 addressed from the president

00:07:13.760 to the March.

00:07:15.020 This is a movement

00:07:16.400 founded on love

00:07:17.660 and grounded in the nobility

00:07:19.300 and dignity

00:07:19.980 of every human life.

00:07:23.100 When we look into the eyes

00:07:24.480 of a newborn child,

00:07:26.120 we see the beauty

00:07:27.260 and the human soul

00:07:28.540 and the majesty

00:07:29.860 of God's creation.

00:07:31.880 We know that every life

00:07:33.340 has meaning

00:07:33.940 and that every life

00:07:35.600 is worth protecting.

00:07:37.280 As president,

00:07:38.220 I will always defend

00:07:39.400 the first right

00:07:40.520 in our Declaration of Independence,

00:07:43.200 the right to life.

00:07:44.480 And in his 2020 live appearance

00:07:47.840 at the march,

00:07:48.560 he concluded his speech

00:07:50.040 by invoking God

00:07:51.900 and clearly identifying himself

00:07:54.760 with the pro-life cause

00:07:55.860 and expressing his great pride

00:07:57.880 and gratitude

00:07:58.940 for the pro-life activists

00:08:00.120 in America.

00:08:00.980 We know that every human soul

00:08:05.260 is divine

00:08:06.040 and every human life,

00:08:07.820 born and unborn,

00:08:09.560 is made in the holy image

00:08:11.720 of Almighty God.

00:08:21.060 Together,

00:08:22.020 we will defend this truth

00:08:23.660 all across our magnificent land.

00:08:26.260 We will set free

00:08:27.580 the dreams of our people

00:08:29.100 and with determined hope,

00:08:31.900 we look forward

00:08:32.540 to all of the blessings

00:08:33.740 that will come

00:08:34.640 from the beauty,

00:08:36.480 talent, purpose,

00:08:37.700 nobility, and grace

00:08:38.820 of every American child.

00:08:41.700 I want to thank you.

00:08:43.680 This is a very special moment.

00:08:45.420 It's so great to represent you.

00:08:48.460 I love you all.

00:08:50.480 And...

00:08:50.600 And I say with

00:08:57.860 true passion,

00:09:00.140 thank you,

00:09:00.740 God bless you,

00:09:01.660 and God bless America.

00:09:03.380 Thank you all.

00:09:04.040 Thank you.

00:09:06.460 Right before we speak

00:09:08.280 with Father Frank Pavone

00:09:09.480 of Priests for Life,

00:09:10.520 let's have a look

00:09:11.280 at the Susan B. Anthony

00:09:12.600 summary list

00:09:13.800 of the president's

00:09:14.660 pro-life accomplishments.

00:09:17.060 He, as he said,

00:09:18.580 has appointed pro-life judges,

00:09:20.280 likely over 200 of them

00:09:21.700 at this point.

00:09:22.560 He permitted states

00:09:23.700 to defund

00:09:24.440 Planned Parenthood

00:09:25.380 of Title X funds.

00:09:26.220 He stopped tax dollars

00:09:28.160 from funding

00:09:29.200 abortion overseas.

00:09:31.380 He defunded

00:09:32.400 the pro-abortion

00:09:33.460 UNFPA,

00:09:35.320 which is a UN agency

00:09:36.420 for family planning,

00:09:38.100 which has been complicit

00:09:39.360 in that China's

00:09:40.340 oppressive population

00:09:41.540 control activities,

00:09:43.100 including coerced

00:09:44.580 birth control

00:09:45.380 and abortion. 0.95

00:09:46.640 He required

00:09:47.840 health insurance companies

00:09:49.200 to disclose

00:09:49.860 if plans cover abortion.

00:09:51.380 He ended

00:09:52.160 the Obama-enforced

00:09:53.380 contraceptive mandate,

00:09:54.400 which had forced

00:09:55.420 corporations

00:09:56.060 with religious objections

00:09:57.260 from covering

00:09:57.980 abortifacients

00:09:58.740 in their health plans.

00:10:00.420 He made strong

00:10:01.640 pro-life appointments,

00:10:02.740 starting, of course,

00:10:03.620 with Vice President Pence

00:10:05.260 and his counselor

00:10:06.840 to the president,

00:10:07.580 Kellyanne Conway,

00:10:08.660 Secretary of State

00:10:09.540 Mike Pompeo,

00:10:10.600 Dr. Ben Carson

00:10:11.520 as Secretary

00:10:12.220 of the Department

00:10:12.980 of Housing

00:10:13.820 and Urban Development,

00:10:15.040 and pro-life Kansas

00:10:16.140 Governor Sam Brownback

00:10:17.560 to a religious persecution

00:10:20.020 watchdog post

00:10:21.160 called the

00:10:21.700 Ambassador for Religious Freedom.

00:10:23.520 He allowed states

00:10:26.500 to defund

00:10:27.380 Planned Parenthood

00:10:28.180 of Medicaid funds.

00:10:29.540 He cut

00:10:30.220 Planned Parenthood's

00:10:31.340 tax funding

00:10:32.120 by up to $60 million,

00:10:34.460 and he canceled

00:10:35.540 a huge contract

00:10:36.640 for taxpayer-funded

00:10:37.880 experimentation

00:10:38.660 with body parts

00:10:39.660 of aborted babies.

00:10:41.540 He allowed Texas 0.92

00:10:43.080 to fund a health program

00:10:44.500 that does not send funds

00:10:46.000 to abortion businesses,

00:10:47.300 and he took action

00:10:48.700 against California

00:10:49.840 for violating

00:10:50.700 conscience protections.

00:10:51.840 He clarified

00:10:53.460 that abortion 1.00

00:10:54.440 is not

00:10:55.300 a civil right.

00:10:57.640 And if you think

00:10:58.360 that's a long list,

00:10:59.320 you should check out

00:11:00.220 the LifeSite list

00:11:01.260 that co-founder

00:11:02.400 Steve Jelcevic

00:11:03.580 compiled in late 2017.

00:11:06.040 And then,

00:11:06.900 there's a massive list

00:11:08.320 from Family Research Council,

00:11:10.220 the link for which

00:11:11.120 you'll find in my blog,

00:11:12.380 which lists

00:11:13.340 pro-life and pro-family wins

00:11:14.920 in 2020,

00:11:16.600 and it's truly amazing.

00:11:17.840 But lastly,

00:11:19.820 check out Cecile Richards, 0.97

00:11:21.160 the former head

00:11:21.900 of Planned Parenthood,

00:11:23.220 the foremost

00:11:24.400 abortion-promoting 0.52

00:11:25.320 organization in America

00:11:26.340 and around the world.

00:11:27.420 She said already

00:11:28.420 in 2017

00:11:29.220 that the Trump

00:11:31.400 administration

00:11:32.040 had already

00:11:33.460 at that time

00:11:34.100 done more

00:11:34.720 to set back

00:11:35.600 the nation's

00:11:36.440 largest abortion provider

00:11:37.480 than any other

00:11:38.840 administration

00:11:39.580 in the past

00:11:40.340 half century.

00:11:41.100 She said this

00:11:41.820 in an interview

00:11:42.400 with People magazine,

00:11:43.400 and I quote,

00:11:44.040 this White House

00:11:45.480 has been worse

00:11:46.580 for women

00:11:47.480 than any administration

00:11:48.760 in my lifetime.

00:11:50.420 End quote.

00:11:51.180 And of course,

00:11:51.900 worse for women 1.00

00:11:52.540 in the parlance

00:11:53.240 of Cecile Richards

00:11:54.400 means more anti-abortion.

00:11:57.360 So,

00:11:58.160 now,

00:11:58.880 let's get to

00:11:59.380 Fr. Frank Pavone.

00:12:01.560 Let's begin

00:12:02.280 as we always do

00:12:02.960 with the sign of the cross.

00:12:03.840 Father,

00:12:04.080 if you wouldn't mind

00:12:04.620 leading us, please.

00:12:06.200 Okay,

00:12:06.780 great to be with you,

00:12:07.640 John Henry,

00:12:08.140 and let's pray.

00:12:08.800 In the name of the Father

00:12:09.520 and of the Son

00:12:10.240 and of the Holy Spirit.

00:12:12.020 Amen.

00:12:12.560 Amen.

00:12:12.840 Lord,

00:12:14.180 we thank you

00:12:14.820 for this opportunity

00:12:15.880 to seek your face,

00:12:18.120 to seek your will,

00:12:19.260 to seek the understanding

00:12:20.480 that the Holy Spirit

00:12:21.800 brings us,

00:12:22.600 to seek from you,

00:12:23.700 Lord God,

00:12:24.120 what you would have us do

00:12:25.360 to secure the rights,

00:12:27.960 the blessings

00:12:28.580 of liberty

00:12:29.420 and life

00:12:30.000 and freedom

00:12:30.560 to our children,

00:12:31.940 to our grandchildren,

00:12:33.140 to our future,

00:12:34.440 to our nation.

00:12:36.060 Bless us, Lord,

00:12:36.840 as we have this discussion

00:12:38.020 and let us all continue

00:12:39.680 to be more deeply committed

00:12:41.060 to the growth

00:12:41.680 of your kingdom

00:12:42.360 we pray

00:12:43.380 in the name

00:12:43.960 of Jesus Christ,

00:12:44.940 our Lord.

00:12:45.680 Amen.

00:12:47.460 In the name of the Father

00:12:48.360 and of the Son

00:12:48.940 and of the Holy Spirit.

00:12:50.140 Amen.

00:12:50.820 Amen.

00:12:51.460 Now,

00:12:52.260 all of you know

00:12:53.140 Father Frank,

00:12:53.920 he is a stalwart

00:12:55.400 in the pro-life community.

00:12:56.360 He is someone

00:12:56.900 who has fought

00:12:57.580 for life,

00:12:58.300 for faith

00:12:58.980 and for family

00:12:59.620 for many,

00:13:00.640 many years now.

00:13:01.780 And yet,

00:13:02.840 he is actually

00:13:04.380 part of the team

00:13:05.920 who is promoting

00:13:08.100 President Trump

00:13:08.880 for the next election.

00:13:09.640 And we're going

00:13:10.340 to find out

00:13:10.760 why.

00:13:11.060 I know

00:13:11.300 some of you

00:13:11.960 are actually

00:13:12.640 concerned with this

00:13:13.720 and concerned about it.

00:13:15.180 I'm here to ask him

00:13:16.140 the hard questions

00:13:17.020 as well.

00:13:17.720 Now,

00:13:17.920 we've seen

00:13:18.280 in this program

00:13:18.780 already some

00:13:19.480 of the incredible

00:13:20.160 things that

00:13:20.780 President Trump

00:13:21.500 has done

00:13:22.320 and why many,

00:13:23.260 many pro-life,

00:13:23.960 pro-family Christians

00:13:24.740 and Catholics

00:13:25.600 around the United States

00:13:26.660 have voted for him

00:13:27.500 and will are committed

00:13:28.540 to voting for him.

00:13:29.820 But we're going

00:13:30.700 to find out,

00:13:31.320 first of all,

00:13:32.100 from Father Frank,

00:13:33.340 what are your

00:13:34.000 favorite memories

00:13:34.940 of President Trump

00:13:35.560 and what in the world

00:13:36.640 led you to do

00:13:37.820 what you're doing

00:13:38.280 right now

00:13:38.780 to support the

00:13:39.720 president in the

00:13:40.600 next election?

00:13:42.340 Well,

00:13:42.900 John Henry,

00:13:43.480 it has been

00:13:44.140 a tremendous

00:13:45.080 encouragement

00:13:45.760 to see what

00:13:46.840 he's been able

00:13:47.660 to accomplish.

00:13:48.720 You know,

00:13:48.920 we elect presidents

00:13:49.920 to do a job

00:13:50.960 and just like

00:13:52.420 we would choose

00:13:53.120 a doctor

00:13:54.480 if we have

00:13:55.400 to have surgery,

00:13:56.220 we want to

00:13:56.600 choose a surgeon

00:13:57.840 who's going

00:13:58.600 to do the job.

00:13:59.820 We want to

00:14:00.400 choose an auto mechanic

00:14:01.780 who's actually

00:14:02.540 going to make

00:14:03.100 the car run.

00:14:04.400 And when we're

00:14:05.180 making those

00:14:06.080 kinds of choices,

00:14:07.300 we're not looking

00:14:08.700 into the person's

00:14:09.900 personal history

00:14:11.160 or virtues.

00:14:12.180 I don't ask

00:14:12.880 the auto mechanic

00:14:13.660 how many times

00:14:14.560 he's been married.

00:14:15.480 I ask him

00:14:16.320 if he knows

00:14:16.940 what's wrong

00:14:17.380 with my car

00:14:18.040 and if he can

00:14:18.940 fix it

00:14:19.860 at a reasonable

00:14:20.900 price

00:14:21.460 and in a

00:14:22.160 reasonable

00:14:22.560 time frame.

00:14:23.920 This president

00:14:24.880 has in a

00:14:25.720 reasonable

00:14:26.100 time frame,

00:14:27.180 in fact,

00:14:27.560 in an historic

00:14:28.280 time frame

00:14:29.000 and at a

00:14:30.340 reasonable price,

00:14:32.040 literally fixed

00:14:33.500 so many

00:14:34.620 of the

00:14:35.340 problems

00:14:35.800 in our

00:14:36.320 country

00:14:36.720 unlike

00:14:37.340 any other

00:14:38.360 president

00:14:38.760 has done.

00:14:39.340 And we can

00:14:39.660 go through

00:14:40.000 the litany

00:14:40.400 of examples

00:14:41.060 and I know

00:14:42.240 that you've

00:14:42.720 been discussing

00:14:43.680 those examples

00:14:44.360 on other

00:14:44.880 episodes,

00:14:46.420 but the track

00:14:47.760 record is there.

00:14:48.860 And so I am

00:14:49.680 eager,

00:14:50.520 you know,

00:14:50.760 as you said,

00:14:51.380 been fighting

00:14:51.880 for a long

00:14:52.420 time for the

00:14:52.960 right to life

00:14:53.460 of so many

00:14:54.040 of our viewers

00:14:55.100 have also been

00:14:55.860 doing.

00:14:56.500 We want to

00:14:56.940 see results.

00:14:57.880 We need to

00:14:58.240 get this job

00:14:59.520 done.

00:14:59.980 It's not just

00:15:00.480 a theoretical

00:15:01.080 thing.

00:15:01.600 And I've

00:15:02.120 been so

00:15:02.480 excited in

00:15:03.640 listening to

00:15:04.120 the president's

00:15:04.700 accomplishments.

00:15:05.440 And, you

00:15:06.040 know,

00:15:06.200 people should

00:15:07.220 do that.

00:15:07.800 I want to

00:15:08.080 encourage people,

00:15:09.200 listen to him

00:15:10.240 for yourself

00:15:11.560 because you'll

00:15:12.460 hear the stories

00:15:13.380 of how,

00:15:14.140 you know,

00:15:14.680 he says how

00:15:15.580 so many other

00:15:17.460 administrations in

00:15:18.620 the past have

00:15:19.320 tried certain

00:15:20.220 things or

00:15:20.760 promised certain

00:15:21.460 things,

00:15:22.040 having gotten

00:15:22.580 them done,

00:15:23.140 and how he's

00:15:23.920 been able to

00:15:24.740 actually get

00:15:25.380 them done.

00:15:26.080 That's what

00:15:27.460 encourages me

00:15:28.720 for the present

00:15:29.640 and also for

00:15:30.380 the future.

00:15:30.800 If you were

00:15:31.920 to list just

00:15:32.480 a few things

00:15:33.220 that have

00:15:34.420 most touched

00:15:34.900 your heart

00:15:35.300 that President

00:15:36.400 Trump has

00:15:36.860 accomplished in

00:15:38.100 his terms so

00:15:38.680 far, let me

00:15:39.460 know what

00:15:39.700 those are.

00:15:40.780 You know,

00:15:41.380 one of the

00:15:41.700 most exciting

00:15:42.240 things, of

00:15:42.720 course, are

00:15:43.380 the federal

00:15:44.000 judges.

00:15:45.380 Forty years

00:15:46.620 from now,

00:15:47.500 again, think

00:15:48.040 of your

00:15:48.320 children, your

00:15:49.100 grandchildren,

00:15:50.000 your great

00:15:50.420 grandchildren,

00:15:51.180 forty years

00:15:52.540 from now,

00:15:54.080 courts around

00:15:54.840 the country,

00:15:55.660 including the

00:15:56.220 Supreme Court,

00:15:56.880 will be issuing

00:15:58.040 decisions from

00:16:00.280 Trump-appointed

00:16:01.460 judges.

00:16:03.040 I mean, this

00:16:03.520 is just like,

00:16:04.760 you know,

00:16:05.080 amazing to

00:16:05.880 think about.

00:16:06.520 And he's

00:16:07.020 been choosing

00:16:07.640 judges for

00:16:08.840 the district

00:16:09.460 courts, the

00:16:10.480 circuit courts,

00:16:11.220 and the

00:16:11.740 Supreme Court,

00:16:12.440 three different

00:16:12.980 levels of the

00:16:13.980 federal courts.

00:16:14.560 And of course,

00:16:14.980 most of these

00:16:15.700 judges are on

00:16:16.780 those two lower 0.97

00:16:17.640 levels, and

00:16:18.100 that's where

00:16:18.420 most of the

00:16:19.000 decisions get

00:16:20.340 their final

00:16:21.420 judgment.

00:16:22.280 he's been

00:16:24.820 putting on

00:16:25.400 people who

00:16:26.040 respect life,

00:16:27.520 who respect

00:16:28.040 the laws as

00:16:28.860 they are written,

00:16:29.540 who respect

00:16:29.980 the Constitution

00:16:30.680 as it is

00:16:31.900 written.

00:16:32.540 The choice

00:16:33.280 we have on

00:16:33.900 the other

00:16:34.320 side of the

00:16:34.940 fence are

00:16:35.720 literally people

00:16:36.580 who believe

00:16:37.140 that they can

00:16:37.760 rewrite the

00:16:38.400 Constitution,

00:16:39.340 go against

00:16:39.940 the will of

00:16:40.520 the people.

00:16:41.400 I mean, look

00:16:41.700 at what the

00:16:42.020 courts did 0.99

00:16:42.600 some years ago

00:16:43.380 in California.

00:16:44.560 The people

00:16:44.960 voted not

00:16:45.640 once but

00:16:46.160 twice for

00:16:47.400 marriage, as

00:16:48.140 marriage between

00:16:48.980 a man and

00:16:49.440 a woman, and

00:16:49.840 the court just

00:16:50.360 ignored the

00:16:51.560 will of

00:16:52.060 millions and

00:16:52.860 millions of

00:16:53.320 voters, and

00:16:54.120 those examples

00:16:55.460 can be

00:16:55.840 multiplied too.

00:16:56.660 So I'm

00:16:57.400 very excited

00:16:57.980 about the

00:16:58.840 judges, the

00:16:59.340 transformation of

00:17:00.240 the court.

00:17:00.640 We already

00:17:01.060 have on the

00:17:02.020 circuit court

00:17:02.600 level, one

00:17:03.960 out of every

00:17:04.520 four of those

00:17:05.320 judges have

00:17:05.840 been appointed

00:17:06.320 by Donald

00:17:06.920 Trump, and

00:17:07.800 we know that

00:17:09.040 you look at

00:17:09.820 the overall

00:17:10.540 way that these

00:17:11.500 decisions are

00:17:12.060 going to go.

00:17:12.640 Overall, you're

00:17:14.280 going to have

00:17:14.800 pro-life

00:17:15.300 decisions, pro-religious

00:17:17.160 freedom decisions.

00:17:18.140 The second thing

00:17:18.840 that I'm most

00:17:19.320 excited about, what

00:17:20.140 he has done,

00:17:20.860 affects all of

00:17:22.080 us quite

00:17:22.540 directly, and

00:17:23.300 affected our

00:17:24.000 ministry quite

00:17:24.780 directly, as

00:17:26.120 we, together

00:17:27.100 with the

00:17:27.680 Little Sisters

00:17:28.140 of the Poor,

00:17:28.960 various dioceses

00:17:30.140 and archdioceses,

00:17:31.500 Catholic

00:17:31.760 University of

00:17:32.540 America, various

00:17:33.720 Christian

00:17:34.180 universities, and

00:17:35.240 practically every

00:17:36.060 employer in

00:17:36.760 America, were

00:17:38.340 being told we

00:17:39.540 had to include

00:17:40.600 abortion in our

00:17:41.560 health insurance

00:17:42.400 plans, as well as

00:17:43.640 contraceptives, and

00:17:44.940 we said no right

00:17:46.000 from day one.

00:17:46.960 It was only

00:17:48.220 President Trump

00:17:49.060 who freed us

00:17:50.260 from that

00:17:50.800 mandate, and

00:17:51.760 the Supreme

00:17:52.200 Court has

00:17:53.160 affirmed that

00:17:55.900 he did the

00:17:56.380 right thing

00:17:56.980 multiple times,

00:17:58.540 and without

00:17:59.940 that, you know,

00:18:01.520 we would have

00:18:02.040 been facing

00:18:02.840 crippling fines,

00:18:04.080 and we were in

00:18:05.340 a position where

00:18:06.040 we were forced

00:18:06.720 to choose between

00:18:07.800 following our

00:18:08.760 faith and

00:18:09.360 following the

00:18:09.920 law, and of

00:18:10.660 course we said

00:18:11.200 we would follow

00:18:11.780 our faith, but

00:18:12.940 the Obama

00:18:13.400 administration had

00:18:14.360 no respect, and

00:18:15.180 apparently Biden

00:18:16.000 doesn't either, he

00:18:17.180 said he would

00:18:17.600 put that mandate

00:18:18.360 right back in

00:18:19.040 place like it

00:18:19.620 was before, I

00:18:20.680 don't know what

00:18:21.000 he thinks is

00:18:21.420 going to happen,

00:18:22.280 you know, the

00:18:22.740 same people who

00:18:23.320 challenged it

00:18:23.740 before are going

00:18:24.180 to challenge it

00:18:24.740 again, here we

00:18:25.580 go all over again

00:18:26.640 right from the

00:18:27.180 start, but I'm

00:18:28.600 very excited about

00:18:29.760 the way that the

00:18:30.700 president handled

00:18:31.480 that, and I have

00:18:32.480 to tell you, you

00:18:33.400 know, hardly a day

00:18:35.440 goes by that I

00:18:36.860 don't get some

00:18:37.560 kind of message or

00:18:39.380 some kind of

00:18:40.400 memo or some

00:18:42.140 kind of indication

00:18:43.240 that his

00:18:44.080 administration is

00:18:45.840 doing something

00:18:46.800 working on

00:18:47.580 something or has

00:18:48.340 completed something

00:18:49.380 and a lot of

00:18:50.060 these things don't 0.84

00:18:50.620 make the headlines

00:18:51.480 but they make an

00:18:52.540 impact on policy

00:18:53.720 that he's making

00:18:54.760 it easier for

00:18:55.480 people of faith

00:18:56.300 and people of

00:18:56.940 pro-life to do

00:18:58.720 the work we're

00:19:00.060 committed to do

00:19:01.180 we're not asking

00:19:02.140 him to do our

00:19:02.740 work for us

00:19:03.500 we want to do

00:19:04.900 our work and we

00:19:05.720 will do our work

00:19:06.720 we just need

00:19:07.500 someone in

00:19:08.000 positions like

00:19:09.580 his to allow us

00:19:10.980 to do it

00:19:11.480 faithfully and

00:19:12.180 freely

00:19:12.440 absolutely

00:19:13.640 you know

00:19:14.300 it's really

00:19:14.540 amazing

00:19:14.840 I think people

00:19:16.040 have very short

00:19:16.640 memories and I

00:19:17.460 think most people

00:19:19.080 would have been

00:19:19.880 fascinated to hear

00:19:20.840 this because you

00:19:22.080 didn't mention I

00:19:22.940 think the two

00:19:23.520 things that everybody

00:19:24.660 thinks of when they

00:19:25.800 think of what is

00:19:26.760 president done and

00:19:27.820 one of course is

00:19:28.720 supreme court

00:19:29.220 justices and the

00:19:30.240 other is attending

00:19:31.160 the march for life

00:19:31.880 he did those

00:19:32.900 things but you

00:19:35.440 know historically

00:19:36.200 even I mean the

00:19:36.780 first president ever

00:19:37.920 to address the

00:19:39.040 march live in

00:19:40.160 person phenomenal

00:19:41.000 you were there

00:19:41.720 and everything was

00:19:42.780 incredible but

00:19:43.640 here you mentioned

00:19:45.020 off the top the

00:19:45.760 two things that I

00:19:46.820 think for a lot of

00:19:47.580 people are really

00:19:48.260 unknown especially

00:19:50.000 the first one about

00:19:50.680 the the lower

00:19:52.060 court judges who

00:19:53.640 are strategically in

00:19:55.800 place and to to

00:19:57.740 go forward with the

00:19:58.860 original vision of

00:19:59.580 the constitution rather

00:20:00.600 than this total

00:20:01.960 usurpation which we

00:20:03.540 have from justices

00:20:04.340 chosen from other 0.95

00:20:06.260 presidents let's just

00:20:07.000 put it that way

00:20:07.540 okay so the man

00:20:11.080 has done incredible

00:20:11.820 things he has as

00:20:13.120 you said got the

00:20:14.360 job done in many

00:20:15.420 respects but what

00:20:17.860 do you say to those

00:20:18.940 people and there are

00:20:19.900 good people I've

00:20:21.580 found it hard to to

00:20:23.120 try and comprehend

00:20:24.580 where they're coming

00:20:25.320 from but they talk

00:20:27.120 about a president

00:20:29.560 should be presidential

00:20:30.960 and this man comes

00:20:33.180 from a past that's

00:20:34.420 really you know very

00:20:35.940 disturbing we've

00:20:37.520 got a video and

00:20:39.160 audio from 2005

00:20:41.260 2009 where he said

00:20:43.240 disgusting things

00:20:44.680 about women and and 0.97

00:20:46.380 so on and so forth

00:20:47.260 and even you know as

00:20:49.620 president he said some

00:20:50.660 things that people say

00:20:51.900 oh that's not

00:20:52.540 presidential it's it's

00:20:53.740 rude and crude how do

00:20:55.600 you respond to those

00:20:56.400 things you know I

00:21:00.060 presume that people who

00:21:01.540 find those things

00:21:02.500 disgusting and and

00:21:03.740 there's no need to 0.56

00:21:04.540 justify those things

00:21:05.860 uh also find

00:21:07.460 disgusting the

00:21:08.340 sexual uh morality 0.71

00:21:11.300 or if you can call it

00:21:12.640 that their Planned

00:21:13.400 Parenthood advocates

00:21:14.340 right I mean it's

00:21:15.700 basically a morality of

00:21:17.680 anything goes um and

00:21:20.600 let's teach it to the

00:21:21.500 youngest grade school

00:21:22.600 children that we can

00:21:23.460 find okay as Planned

00:21:25.040 Parenthood goes into our 0.95

00:21:26.200 schools and whatnot I

00:21:27.540 mean let's establish for

00:21:28.700 for a moment uh okay we

00:21:31.120 understand that the you

00:21:32.600 know the distress and the

00:21:33.840 disgust that you have

00:21:34.880 so so so we presume then

00:21:37.600 that you wouldn't want

00:21:38.780 that kind of immoral

00:21:40.340 behavior written into the

00:21:42.940 the courts written into

00:21:44.340 the laws funded by the

00:21:46.460 government again look at

00:21:49.440 what he's doing the other

00:21:52.660 side the Democrat Party

00:21:54.140 would take Planned

00:21:55.620 Parenthood and not only 0.65

00:21:58.100 increase its funding but

00:22:00.660 I and various other pro-life

00:22:02.100 leaders are convinced that

00:22:03.080 they would make it an

00:22:04.960 agency of the federal

00:22:05.920 government altogether so it

00:22:07.920 would be in our schools

00:22:09.220 even more the funding

00:22:10.760 wouldn't even be a matter

00:22:12.420 of dispute and their

00:22:14.780 ideology about sexual

00:22:16.620 behavior would be written

00:22:18.440 into court decisions again

00:22:20.200 for generations to come

00:22:22.880 so I would rather be

00:22:25.700 upset by something that

00:22:27.520 my president did 20 or

00:22:29.920 30 years ago than by

00:22:31.820 something one of his

00:22:32.700 judges is going to do 20

00:22:34.240 or 30 years from now

00:22:35.380 that's the choice we have

00:22:37.380 we don't have the choice

00:22:38.640 between a president who's

00:22:40.300 going to do good things

00:22:41.560 and had by the way has

00:22:43.380 never said or done anything

00:22:44.460 bad before uh we don't

00:22:48.480 have a choice between

00:22:49.480 Donald Trump and that

00:22:51.000 person we have a choice

00:22:52.500 between Donald Trump and

00:22:54.000 people who are going to

00:22:54.740 take that kind of sexual

00:22:55.940 immorality and actually

00:22:57.400 make it public policy

00:22:58.540 absolutely now you are

00:23:02.220 being criticized I guess

00:23:04.520 all of us in the movement

00:23:05.240 are but you specifically

00:23:06.920 um for vying or promoting

00:23:11.220 President Trump because

00:23:12.480 that's political and how

00:23:14.280 can you get involved in

00:23:15.340 politics this way and it's

00:23:16.580 not only you uh it's anyone

00:23:18.660 who preaches on these things

00:23:20.620 and would dare to say from

00:23:21.940 the pulpit that uh this is

00:23:23.760 the right vote to make and

00:23:25.340 give arguments for that

00:23:26.480 because that's a political

00:23:27.340 decision shouldn't that stay

00:23:28.500 in the realm of politics

00:23:29.340 shouldn't church stay out of

00:23:30.600 it how do you respond well if

00:23:33.640 we didn't have a political

00:23:34.700 party that was identifying

00:23:36.080 itself with evil then maybe

00:23:38.420 we could take more of a

00:23:39.740 position of neutrality but

00:23:41.600 again folks are missing a

00:23:43.200 very basic problem we have

00:23:44.700 here the Democrat party has

00:23:46.980 allied itself has made a

00:23:48.980 covenant with evil they are

00:23:51.560 in bed with the abortion

00:23:52.660 industry they want absolutely

00:23:54.620 no restrictions on abortion

00:23:56.380 they consider it a basic right

00:23:58.540 and they want us to pay for

00:24:00.380 it plus they want to as we

00:24:03.580 were mentioning earlier and

00:24:05.020 and I don't think most of our

00:24:06.680 even our people in in our

00:24:08.260 movement necessarily

00:24:09.740 understand the weight of

00:24:11.340 this when Joe Biden says he

00:24:12.820 wants to go back to the

00:24:14.560 policy that was in place

00:24:15.880 during during the Obama

00:24:17.520 Biden administration of

00:24:19.480 forcing religious people to 1.00

00:24:21.480 violate their faith through

00:24:22.700 the HHS mandate this is a

00:24:25.460 party now that does not

00:24:26.740 respect the freedom of the

00:24:28.320 church so if a party doesn't

00:24:29.880 respect the freedom of the

00:24:30.980 church how can the church be

00:24:32.200 neutral yeah if if a party

00:24:34.200 can't respect the fundamental

00:24:35.760 right to life with the church

00:24:37.160 proclaims at the heart of her

00:24:38.800 teaching how in the world can

00:24:40.400 the church be neutral now our

00:24:41.760 platform as a church and what

00:24:44.340 folks who say this are are

00:24:46.680 touching upon accurately is

00:24:49.340 that the platform of the church

00:24:51.120 of Jesus Christ the Holy

00:24:52.740 Catholic Church is not the 1.00

00:24:55.020 platform of any political party

00:24:56.800 our platform is the gospel of

00:24:59.740 Jesus Christ but when I preach

00:25:01.960 the gospel whether that is going

00:25:04.160 to sound political or whether it's

00:25:06.020 going to help a candidate or a

00:25:07.580 party or her a candidate or a

00:25:09.640 party doesn't depend on us it

00:25:11.960 depends on them if tomorrow the

00:25:14.740 Republican and Democrat parties

00:25:16.300 swapped their positions on

00:25:18.920 abortion religious freedom and a

00:25:20.540 number of other things would our

00:25:22.380 message change no it wouldn't

00:25:24.520 we're still proclaiming government

00:25:26.200 has to protect life and we have

00:25:27.740 to vote for people who protect

00:25:29.240 life we're still proclaiming

00:25:30.780 government has to protect

00:25:32.220 freedom and we're going to vote

00:25:33.560 for people that will protect

00:25:34.720 freedom and on many other issues

00:25:37.040 too remember John Henry you know

00:25:39.200 this from the second Vatican

00:25:40.280 council

00:25:40.900 Gaudium et Spes constitution on the

00:25:44.120 church in the modern world

00:25:44.980 beautiful document and then

00:25:46.980 incorporated from that into the

00:25:48.840 catechism it's also in the code of

00:25:50.840 canon law it's in various other

00:25:52.360 documents the social compendium of

00:25:54.420 the social doctrine of the church

00:25:55.600 all these very very high placed

00:25:59.080 documents indicate the following

00:26:02.120 that the church has a religious

00:26:03.460 mission not a political one but

00:26:05.880 that in carrying out that

00:26:07.520 religious mission especially when 0.87

00:26:10.000 it comes to the fundamental rights

00:26:12.580 that the human person has and the

00:26:15.460 freedom of the church they they

00:26:17.100 specifically mention those two

00:26:19.460 things which we've been focusing on

00:26:21.460 here and which President Trump

00:26:23.220 focuses on the fundamental right to

00:26:25.760 life the fundamental freedom of the

00:26:27.320 church the second Vatican council

00:26:29.240 said and these other documents reflect

00:26:31.040 to we must be passing moral judgment

00:26:34.760 even in matters relating to politics

00:26:37.200 so it's not like the church is saying

00:26:39.580 oh we can't say anything about

00:26:41.000 politics that's not the teaching and

00:26:43.820 that wasn't Jesus teaching either I

00:26:45.320 mean look at the prophets look at

00:26:46.900 Christ look at John the Baptist you 0.92

00:26:48.380 know they got in trouble because they

00:26:50.320 told political leaders exactly what the

00:26:53.400 moral law demanded how can we do any

00:26:55.800 different in our day you know the

00:26:57.080 church has raised to the honors of the

00:26:58.940 altar Cardinal Clemens von Galen and

00:27:01.680 and people should go look him up he

00:27:03.680 wasn't it wasn't that long ago that he

00:27:07.080 was raised to the altars and and

00:27:08.700 Clemens von Galen who was very

00:27:10.680 political because there was a Nazi

00:27:13.140 regime that was rising up right before

00:27:15.340 his very eyes and he said we can't keep

00:27:17.680 silent about this and and he gave three

00:27:20.660 very famous and powerful sermons one

00:27:23.340 summer and my goodness they've been

00:27:26.200 they've been pointed to by the church

00:27:27.900 as an example and

00:27:29.540 in the ceremony in in in Rome it was it

00:27:35.000 was said you know we have a current

00:27:36.360 situation today in regard to the dignity

00:27:38.340 of human life that demands a similar

00:27:40.500 response so you know people accuse us of

00:27:43.160 being too political listen we're just

00:27:44.540 taking our cue from the the gospels and

00:27:46.960 from the church amen amen

00:27:49.340 father but I want to thank you for being

00:27:53.120 with us but also want to see if you have

00:27:55.260 any parting words for the viewers who

00:27:58.080 are watching God willing many of them

00:27:59.780 who are still discerning what do they do

00:28:04.140 in this coming election what should they

00:28:07.500 do you know John Henry this this

00:28:09.980 election and here's how I would wrap up

00:28:12.240 this thought this election is not about

00:28:15.440 personalities it is about a more stark

00:28:19.860 choice than we've ever had before

00:28:23.080 between two different paths two different

00:28:26.620 worldviews the man who sits in the oval

00:28:28.920 office is just a a a one indicator of that

00:28:34.720 worldview remember he brings with him an

00:28:36.900 entire party an entire army of judges and

00:28:41.120 of of administration officials and a vice

00:28:43.900 president a secretary of HHS all the

00:28:46.700 cabinet positions all the other officials

00:28:48.840 they're all going to be thinking along the

00:28:51.300 same lines and following the same party

00:28:53.340 worldview and it's not just the two

00:28:55.380 fundamental issues we've been focusing on

00:28:57.340 here this election is a decision between

00:29:00.900 globalism on the one hand and legitimate

00:29:04.400 national pride and identity on the other it

00:29:08.880 is a choice between poverty or prosperity

00:29:11.440 between open borders or appropriate national

00:29:15.440 security and borders the way that the

00:29:17.440 catechism and the bible talks to us about

00:29:19.820 them this is a choice here between mob rule

00:29:23.960 or the rule of law in the constitution I

00:29:26.760 mean this is a fundamental choice between

00:29:29.280 socialism or capitalism I mean this is

00:29:32.620 something that it transcends anything we've

00:29:35.860 ever seen before there's never been a more

00:29:38.240 consequential choice and please my friends

00:29:40.360 don't think about something that somebody said or

00:29:42.560 did in the past think about your future your

00:29:45.160 children your grandchildren what kind of country

00:29:47.320 they're going to have what kind of court system

00:29:49.060 they're going to live under what kind of laws are

00:29:50.980 they going to have to obey what kind of freedom

00:29:53.280 are they going to be able to have to articulate the

00:29:56.160 kind of virtues that you're concerned about and

00:29:58.900 the and that we're all concerned about and the

00:30:00.440 kind of moral teaching that our church puts

00:30:02.400 forth what kind of land are they going to live in

00:30:04.740 that's what's at stake in this election see the

00:30:08.380 accomplishments of this administration that we've

00:30:11.400 had so far at promises kept dot com and also

00:30:15.260 pro-life president dot com and john henry those are

00:30:18.160 two of the many resources that will encourage people

00:30:21.100 about the direction that we can be going here in the

00:30:24.200 very near future awesome father frank pavone so good

00:30:28.120 to be with you and may god bless you and all your work

00:30:30.960 for life family and for the faith and you as well

00:30:34.820 thank you

00:30:35.500 it has to be admitted that donald trump was in his

00:30:41.680 life before becoming president a very foul-mouthed

00:30:45.120 man whose actions seem to go along with his words

00:30:48.920 remember these clips where he was caught on tape saying

00:30:52.740 the most revolting things about women of course he's 0.98

00:30:56.800 apologized for that but let me tell you especially for

00:31:00.520 converts and reverts to the faith like me to judge 0.98

00:31:03.500 someone on their past as if people can't change is truly

00:31:07.500 unjust my past is full of sin and i've said before and i'll

00:31:12.240 say it again i was deservedly going to hell before my 0.89

00:31:16.140 coming back to christ but let's focus on the criticisms of

00:31:20.720 president trump in his presidency where he's been rather

00:31:24.820 ruthless it's true with his opponents he uses pejorative

00:31:28.700 language ad hominem attacks and it can be said that he seems

00:31:32.780 rather unpresidential i guess but my question is this in this

00:31:37.600 day and age can he actually be anything else and still be

00:31:41.480 president the culture of america and indeed most of the world

00:31:45.060 today is so toxic so laden with all kinds of uncivilized

00:31:49.120 things that it seems almost impossible to survive and

00:31:52.280 thrive without resorting to what we might call or might have

00:31:56.200 called at one time unpresidential tactics to me he's the first

00:32:00.780 conservative to respond to the liberals with the same ugly language

00:32:04.680 they use to disparage him and all of their conservative opponents

00:32:09.340 as a former liberal himself he actually knows the lingo and he gives

00:32:14.880 back what he gets with a flair and a gusto that well i must say is at least

00:32:20.220 amusing while it may be impolite and improper in a civilized society but

00:32:24.820 we're no longer civilized he does not take insults lying down

00:32:30.000 he punches back with a wit and really has baffled his opponents

00:32:35.360 you could say that he's not for fit for office

00:32:38.820 some people have said so many have said so but

00:32:41.420 the presidency has been so demoralized with the likes of bill clinton and barack

00:32:46.680 obama that such a statement really has no relevance to america today in fact to

00:32:51.620 most of the political scene in the western world today

00:32:54.700 when you consider that most leaders of nations support the killing

00:32:58.480 of innocent unborn children in their mother's wombs 0.98

00:33:01.480 how is it even possible to speak about being

00:33:05.100 unpresidential in speech and finally with regard to those who would

00:33:10.440 accuse the president of racism due to his immigration policies

00:33:13.840 i find that accusation frankly unfair the president has said that he

00:33:18.560 even demonstrated that he is in favor of legal immigration

00:33:24.340 what he doesn't like is the kind of cue jumping

00:33:27.300 illegal immigration which harms legal immigration

00:33:30.680 why should those who go through the difficult work of applying for legal

00:33:34.480 immigration have a harder time than those who shirk the process 1.00

00:33:37.840 yes trump built a wall and insists on a vetting process for those wishing to

00:33:44.460 immigrate to the u.s however a reality check is actually needed

00:33:48.620 he has welcomed and encouraged legal immigrants

00:33:52.140 his policies for immigration to the united states of america are actually a lot

00:33:56.900 less stringent than those for immigrants even to mexico

00:34:00.760 and one of trump's biggest critics on building the wall namely pope francis

00:34:06.620 should remember that the pope's own vatican city state is surrounded by what

00:34:11.340 by a wall exactly the same height that which president trump

00:34:16.080 has built or is building along the border
