The John-Henry Westen Show - Vatican blocks Biden communion ban in US, pushes vaccine, silent on German schism

00:00:00.000 Another unbelievable couple of weeks in the Vatican with the Pope's vaccine-pushing conference

00:00:04.740 featuring Chelsea Clinton and a whole host of pro-abortion bigwigs wrapping up over the weekend,

00:00:09.860 followed by their push to excommunicate all mafia members while simultaneously blocking

00:00:17.160 an effort by many U.S. bishops to refuse Biden-Pelosi and many other pro-abortion

00:00:23.000 politicians from receiving communion. All the while, Pope Francis has ignored the ardent

00:00:29.420 pleas of a cardinal and bishops and priests to stop the schism in Germany with hundreds of so-called 0.82

00:00:35.560 Catholic priests blessing homosexual unions on Monday. All that and more on this episode 0.98

00:00:42.080 of the John Henry Weston Show. Stay tuned.

00:00:59.420 Before we begin, let me remind you to go direct to LifeSiteNews.com. You know by now that we've

00:01:07.560 been banned on YouTube and also on Facebook. So you really need to go directly to LifeSiteNews.com

00:01:13.640 to keep up with all that we're doing. You can click on the button that says last 10 days to get just

00:01:18.140 the headlines from the last 10 days. You can subscribe to the daily email on the top right

00:01:23.140 hand side of the page. Make LifeSiteNews your homepage. Stay in touch with us. Let's begin

00:01:29.120 as we always do with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy

00:01:34.000 Ghost. Amen. On May 7th, Chelsea Clinton spoke at the Vatican Conference, ironically dedicated to

00:01:42.420 dialogue. She was saying that there must be a global effort to crack down on vaccine-critical

00:01:47.440 social media posts. Have a listen for yourself. I personally very strongly believe there has to be

00:01:54.560 more intensive and intentional and coordinated global regulation of the content on social media

00:02:00.800 platforms. Clinton is the vice president of the Clinton Foundation and the daughter of former

00:02:07.360 President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Like her parents,

00:02:11.860 she is an outspoken advocate for abortion. She appeared at a pre-recorded online meeting forming

00:02:18.960 part of the 5th International Vatican Unite to Prevent and Unite to Cure Conference. Naturally,

00:02:27.080 hearing that line at the Vatican Conference stings, especially for LifeSite, since, as I said,

00:02:32.980 we were permanently banned from Facebook earlier this month and were kicked off YouTube a couple

00:02:36.880 months ago. The news of Facebook banning LifeSite caught the attention of Fox News' Tucker Carlson.

00:02:44.160 Have a listen.

00:02:46.980 In 1976, the U.S. government vaccinated 45 million people for the swine flu. A total of 53 people

00:02:54.800 reportedly died after getting that shot. And the U.S. government immediately halted the vaccination

00:03:00.040 program. Why? Because authorities decided it was too risky. It wasn't worth it.

00:03:04.360 Contrast that with what's happening now. This time, our health authorities have reserved their

00:03:10.280 energy for anyone who dares to question vaccines. LifeSite News, it's a non-profit news organization,

00:03:16.260 just found itself permanently banned from Facebook. Why? Because it reported government numbers from

00:03:21.400 the VAERS database, something that we just did on the air. Apart from Clinton, speakers at the

00:03:28.080 Vatican Conference included prominent and diverse names such as CEOs of Pfizer and Moderna, the former

00:03:35.280 of which produces abortion pills, and also the director of the National Institute of Health,

00:03:40.280 Francis Collins, who, by the way, advocates using fetal tissue in research projects. It also included the

00:03:46.040 head of Google Health, David Feinberg, and COVID czar, Dr. Anthony Fauci of the U.S. National Institute for

00:03:52.660 Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and included also Salesforce CEO, Mark Benioff, another speaker, by the

00:03:58.980 way, who has a history of promoting the LGBT issues. And he was described by Time Magazine as, quote, one of the

00:04:04.860 most outspoken executives for LGBT affairs. Check this out. Here's Fauci at the conference calling on the need

00:04:13.060 for Catholic priests to tell Catholics to get the vaccine. Have a look for yourself.

00:04:21.140 You've got to match the messenger with the audience. And I think if you do that, you're going to

00:04:27.060 overcome a lot of the hesitancy. When you go into the, you know, into the trenches and you have someone

00:04:32.840 who's a deeply religious person who will listen to their clergy, that's different than me with a suit

00:04:38.660 going into an area, telling people to do something. I guess for him, having the Pope do so wasn't

00:04:46.140 enough. You know, pro-life activist Michael Hichborn, in an interview with LifeSite, recalled that other

00:04:53.140 sinister figures in history have called on pastors to minister, pastors and ministers to help promote

00:05:00.380 intrinsic evils. He told us, and I quote, in 1939, Margaret Sanger wrote to Dr. Clarence Gamble,

00:05:06.740 suggesting that they convince Negro doctors and Negro ministers to promote contraception among the

00:05:12.600 black population. Mimicking Sanger's approach, Fauci now wants to use Catholic priests to convince

00:05:18.240 faithful Catholics to take an unproven shot that has over 3,000 reported deaths and over 100,000

00:05:23.860 serious adverse reactions attached to it. Faithful Catholics have every right to reject the shot

00:05:29.700 and should tell Fauci and his lackeys to go pound sand, end quote. Believe it or not, at the Vatican

00:05:36.340 conference, the Vatican actually announced the granting of a pontifical award to the CEO of a

00:05:43.400 pharmaceutical company that makes abortion-tainted experimental coronavirus vaccines.

00:05:48.920 Stefan Bancel, the CEO of Moderna, was given a Pontifical Hero Award in recognition of his success

00:05:56.480 in convincing the company to focus its energies on developing a vaccine for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

00:06:02.780 Notably, Moderna helped fund the Vatican conference. On May 10th, Vatican News reported a new group in

00:06:11.580 the Vatican has been tasked with excommunication of all members of mafia groups. Under the overall

00:06:17.320 direction of Cardinal Peter Turkson, who heads the dicastery for promoting integral human development,

00:06:22.420 a working group, they said, has been drawn up that reportedly will have as its aim the excommunication

00:06:27.840 of members of the mafia and of organized crime groups. Meanwhile, pro-life advocates have noted

00:06:34.220 the irony of how similar sanctions are not being placed on abortion supporters, particularly politicians

00:06:40.240 who support the killing of the unborn. In fact, while focusing on excommunicating mafia members,

00:06:47.900 the Vatican is actually blocking efforts of several U.S. bishops to ban pro-abortion politicians

00:06:52.740 from receiving communion. Last week, the Vatican weighed in on discussions currently underway among

00:07:00.020 the U.S. bishops regarding the distribution of Holy Communion to pro-abortion politicians.

00:07:04.580 A letter sent to the U.S. Conference of Bishops, President, by Cardinal Louis Ladaria, who's the

00:07:11.800 Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith in the Vatican, warned that an upcoming U.S.

00:07:16.880 bishops' policy on giving Holy Communion to pro-abortion politicians such as Biden could be,

00:07:21.440 and I quote, a source of discord. Cardinal Ladaria said the policy would unfairly concentrate

00:07:28.720 on, quote, only one category of Catholics, end quote. Now, one particularly odious part of that 0.96

00:07:38.680 Vatican letter is that, in what appears to be a first, the Vatican uses language developed by abortion 0.83

00:07:47.080 advocates, repeatedly using the term pro-choice, describing politicians who support abortion.

00:07:52.160 Cardinal Ladaria was writing in response to a letter from Archbishop Jose Gomez to the CDF,

00:07:57.940 informing the Vatican that the U.S. bishops were drawing up a policy on the distribution of Holy

00:08:03.100 Communion to politicians who support abortion. And so, in his letter admonishing Gomez for such a plan,

00:08:09.740 Cardinal Ladaria employed the term pro-choice four times. He referred to pro-choice politicians twice,

00:08:16.060 and pro-choice legislation, and a pro-choice position. One such example of the CDF use of this

00:08:23.020 term is given noting how local bishops should, and I quote, reach out to and engage in dialogue

00:08:29.440 with Catholic politicians within their jurisdiction who adopt a pro-choice position regarding abortion

00:08:35.860 legislation, euthanasia, or other moral evils as a means of understanding the nature of their positions

00:08:40.620 and their comprehension of Catholic teaching, end quote. Despite this reticence to target this

00:08:46.460 one category of Catholics, the new working group on the Mafia looks set to also target one specific

00:08:53.940 kind of Catholic. LifeSite contacted the Dicastery for promoting integral human development,

00:08:59.600 seeking more information about the working group, but was informed that details would be conveyed in

00:09:03.860 the coming weeks. In recent weeks, U.S. bishops have lined up on either side of the debate, the leftists

00:09:11.320 among the hierarchy outing themselves for their infidelity, seeing support for their heretical

00:09:15.520 position in Pope Francis himself. Bishop Robert McElroy of San Diego recently wrote a piece for America

00:09:22.760 magazine decrying public calls for pro-abortion politicians to be denied Holy Communion. Cardinal

00:09:28.680 Wilton Gregory of Washington, D.C., Bishop John Stowe of Lexington, Kentucky, and Chicago Cardinal

00:09:34.900 Blaise Cupich all are on that side. Among those supporting the constant church teaching, which

00:09:41.500 calls for pro-abortion politicians to be denied communion, those bishops include Archbishop

00:09:46.740 Salvatore Corleone, who argued recently that such politicians merit a public correction for their

00:09:52.300 public rejection of Catholic teaching that he said is not limited to exclusion from the reception of

00:09:56.580 communion, but may also include excommunication. Other members of the hierarchy who are on that

00:10:05.440 side include Cardinal Raymond Burke, Archbishop Samuel Aquila, and Archbishop Joseph Naumann.

00:10:12.500 They've all come out publicly defending the position that pro-abortion Catholic politicians

00:10:16.800 must be denied communion to safeguard the sacrament, to avoid scandal, and actually to call the sinner

00:10:22.520 to repentance. Meanwhile, in Germany, there is outright schism with hundreds of priests in an act

00:10:29.560 of defiance giving sacrilegious blessings to homosexual unions on May 10th. So, while the Vatican is very 0.88

00:10:37.100 involved in directing the U.S. Church, curbing its efforts at fidelity, it seems to have a hands-off

00:10:44.660 approach for the church in Germany, where the country's bishops are currently walking down a

00:10:49.340 synodal path that appears to be leading to departure from the church's teaching on priesthood,

00:10:53.540 marriage, sexual morality.

00:10:56.640 It's in defiance to a decree issued by the Vatican on the 15th of March, reinforcing the church's message

00:11:03.640 that God does not and cannot bless sin. The document has pleased conservatives and disheartened advocates

00:11:10.800 for the LGBTQ plus Catholics around the globe.

00:11:15.900 One cardinal, two bishops, a dozen priests, and more have begged Pope Francis to intervene

00:11:20.980 to stop the Catholic Church in Germany from going into schism by continuing down this heretical 0.93

00:11:26.140 synodal path and thereby separating itself from the one holy Catholic and apostolic church

00:11:32.060 founded by Christ. The letter says, and I quote,

00:11:34.740 concerned about this sad situation, we pastors of the Catholic Church and faithful laity committed

00:11:40.600 to the defense of the true faith, ask the Holy Father to take the necessary measures to put an end

00:11:46.420 to these drifts of the German synodal path and, if necessary, to apply the appropriate canonical

00:11:53.080 sanctions against the promoters of this tremendous deviation from both doctrine and communion with the

00:11:59.640 keys of Peter, end quote. That appeal, released on May 5th, was signed by Bishop Emeritus of Hong Kong

00:12:06.720 Cardinal Joseph Zen, Kazakhstan Bishop Athanasia Schneider, Switzerland Bishop Marian Alaganti, 12 priests,

00:12:13.520 including U.S. canon lawyer Father Gerald Murray, who we all know from EWTN, and more than 50 other

00:12:18.900 laymen and women in the various fields of law, teaching, and health. The response from Pope Francis

00:12:25.080 has been silence. But there has not been silence from a couple of awesome preleds who have had

00:12:31.680 the resistance to the insanity coming from Rome down pat for many, many, many years.

00:12:38.380 Kazakhstan Bishop Athanasius Schneider, in addition to the appeal which he signed to Pope Francis,

00:12:44.160 gave an interview to LifeSite in which he urged faithful Catholics in Germany, who were actually

00:12:48.180 witnessing the schism unfolding right before their eyes, as increasing numbers of clergy there publicly

00:12:54.120 defy Catholic moral teaching. He urged the faithful there to pray and continue to remain faithful. He

00:12:58.900 said, and I quote, firstly, they should self-assuredly and joyfully confess the fullness of Catholic

00:13:04.740 faith, which they know from the catechism, from the ever-valid documents of the Magisterium of the

00:13:09.160 Church. Faithful Catholics in Germany must not retreat during these times, but go on the offensive. 0.97

00:13:14.040 He said, and I quote, they should organize meetings and conferences to explain and to strengthen the

00:13:19.660 Catholic faith. He added that they really need to pray in supplication and reparation for the sins

00:13:25.680 against the Catholic faith, the sanctity of the sacraments, and the moral life. Faithful Catholics

00:13:31.380 must support in many ways, he said, bishops and priests in Germany, who choose to remain true to

00:13:36.900 all the teachings of the Catholic faith. All those who still want to live the fullness of the Catholic

00:13:42.360 faith should unite together, pushing away some existing differences between them, which are substantially

00:13:48.580 of a secondary character in view of the ongoing massive apostasy from the Catholic faith in

00:13:54.520 Germany, he said. Asked if there was anything that could be done practically to save the Catholic

00:14:00.280 Church in Germany, or if it's already too late, Bishop Snyder told LifeSite News that from the human

00:14:05.320 point of view, there is little hope. To save the Catholic Church in Germany, there is first the need of 0.63

00:14:10.400 prayer and reparation for the sins against the Catholic faith and the sanctity of the sacraments

00:14:14.760 committed in the past decades, in the first place, by many representatives of the hierarchy.

00:14:21.000 Cardinals, bishops, and priests, there's a need of divine intervention that will raise some new

00:14:26.480 apostles of the Catholic faith in Germany, he said. And finally, the heroic Archbishop, Carlo Maria

00:14:34.940 Vigano, one of the main voices defending truth in the Church, has given to LifeSite a prayer appeal to

00:14:41.740 the Most Holy Virgin Mary, turning to the Mother of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to appeal for us

00:14:47.740 with her Divine Son to bring an end to the current calamity in the world and in the Church. Yesterday

00:14:53.420 was Ascension Thursday and also the anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady in Fatima in 1917.

00:14:59.420 It is also the release date of the following prayer by Archbishop Vigano, which I'm privileged to pray with you

00:15:06.920 right now. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

00:15:14.920 Auguste Lady and Queen of Heaven, turn your gaze upon us, your children, in this hour of darkness and

00:15:20.520 affliction. Do not disdain to hear and answer our humble and confident prayer at a moment when the

00:15:26.800 forces of the enemy are multiplying their infernal assault against God, His Church, and the human family.

00:15:32.480 You who are the model and example of humility and obedience to the will of God, enlighten our

00:15:39.080 rulers so that they may remember that the authority they exercise comes from the Lord, that they will

00:15:45.100 have to answer to Him, the just judge, for both the good they have not done as well as the evil they

00:15:51.500 have committed. You who are the virgin most faithful, teach those who administer public affairs to honor

00:15:58.220 the moral obligations of their office, refusing any connivance with vice and error. You who by your

00:16:05.140 intercession before the throne of God heal the evils of soul and body and are rightfully invoked as

00:16:10.600 health of the sick, guide doctors and health care workers in their profession. Help them to care for

00:16:16.760 the sick and to give assistance to the weakest among us. Give them the courage to oppose those who would

00:16:22.460 force them to cause death or illness with inappropriate treatments or harmful drugs. Invoke the divine

00:16:28.620 physician of our souls, our Lord Jesus Christ, asking Him to awaken in their conscience an awareness

00:16:34.260 of their role and their duty to promote the life and health of the body. You who during the flight to

00:16:41.160 Egypt saved your divine Son from the massacre of Herod, deliver our children from the moral and spiritual 1.00

00:16:46.920 threats looming over them. Protect our little ones from the true pestilence of sin and vice and from

00:16:54.860 the criminal plans of the ideological dictatorship that wants to strike them in body and spirit.

00:17:01.200 Strengthen parents and educators to oppose the experimental use of a dangerous and morally illicit

00:17:06.000 drug on our children. Thwart the attacks of those who assault their innocence, trying to pervert them

00:17:12.100 from an early age by corrupting their morals and warping their intellect. You who were consoled by

00:17:20.220 the presence of your Son in your passage to eternal life, be close to the sick, the elderly and the dying,

00:17:26.260 especially those who during, due to inhuman regulations, face death alone in a hospital bed,

00:17:33.340 deprived of the sacraments. Bring them comfort, inspire in them repentance for the sins they have

00:17:38.860 committed, and the desire to offer their sufferings in reparation for these sins, so that they may

00:17:45.240 close their eyes with the consolation of the friendship of God. You who are called mother of

00:17:50.580 the priesthood, enlighten our shepherds. Open their eyes to see the present threat. Make them consistent

00:17:56.720 witnesses to Christ your Son, courageous defenders of the flock that the Lord has entrusted to them,

00:18:01.980 and valiant opponents of error and vice. Shake off from them, Virgin Most Holy,

00:18:07.240 all human respect, and all connivance with sin. Enflame them with the love for God and their

00:18:13.100 neighbor. Enlighten their minds and strengthen their will. You, before whom all the demons of hell take

00:18:19.640 flight, defeat the diabolical plans of this hateful tyranny, the deception of the pandemic, the lie of the

00:18:26.360 workers of iniquity. Make the light of truth shine upon the lie, just as the light of Christ shines upon

00:18:33.800 the darkness of error and sin. Confuse your enemies, humiliate under your foot the proud head of those

00:18:39.860 who dare to challenge heaven and want to establish the reign of Antichrist.

00:18:45.300 You, who by defined decree, are mediatrix of all graces, our co-redemptrix, obtain for us the grace

00:18:52.220 of seeing the triumph of your immaculate heart, to which we consecrate ourselves, our families,

00:18:56.800 our communities, the Holy Church, our homeland, and the whole world. So may it be. Amen.

00:19:03.920 Amen. For LifeSite News, this is John Henry Weston, and may God bless you.

00:19:10.060 Hi, this is John Henry Weston, the co-founder and editor-in-chief of LifeSite News. I'm coming to

00:19:15.540 you today because we want to be sure that we are communicating clearly with you, our loyal

00:19:21.500 followers. Things are really heating up, as I'm sure you can see. Christians, conservative truth-tellers

00:19:28.260 are being targeted, are being banned from social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube,

00:19:33.980 and Instagram at an alarmingly fast rate. They are attempting to suppress any narrative that does

00:19:41.300 not fit that of the mainstream media. We knew this day would come. We have been warning everyone who

00:19:48.180 would listen and attempting to build up alternative platforms to continue to reach you. We have established

00:19:55.280 ourselves on all sorts of platforms I'm going to explain in a minute, but the most important thing

00:19:59.840 to do is come direct to LifeSiteNews.com, because there we will always be. But we've also established

00:20:06.940 ourselves on platforms like Parler and MeWe, and our videos can be found on Rumble as well.

00:20:13.420 We would love to see each of you on those platforms too, as they are not censoring or suppressing the

00:20:19.380 truth that we are sharing every single day. More than these alternative social media platforms,

00:20:25.280 we highly encourage you to subscribe to our email newsletter. We have really built up a large

00:20:31.640 list of loyal readers on our email marketing platform, and we have prepared several backup

00:20:36.780 plans for, well, I want to say if, but it's really when, we are removed from our current platform as

00:20:43.880 well. Additionally, I really encourage you, as I said before, to make it a regular habit to go

00:20:50.280 directly to LifeSiteNews.com. Make it your homepage. While all of these different platforms

00:20:56.560 are an excellent way to curate your news, going directly to our website means that you will never

00:21:02.520 encounter any censorship or sudden loss of LifeSite News reporting. Here's the thing.

00:21:08.480 We will never stop sharing the truth. We founded this organization with the mission to be the life,

00:21:15.420 family, and culture source for men and women who seek to know the truth. We have established a

00:21:21.900 track record of honest reports, and this will never stop, even with censorship happening around the

00:21:28.860 globe. Again, I'm encouraging you to join us on Parler, MeWe, Rumble, and on our email list. You can find

00:21:36.920 all the direct links in the description of this video. May God bless you and keep you, and we are so

00:21:43.500 thankful that you've chosen to follow and support LifeSiteNews. I'm John Henry Weston, co-founder

00:21:49.460 and editor-in-chief of LifeSiteNews.
