00:00:17.240 what it's done to everything from politics to church life to the economy,
00:00:21.220 and what to do about it.

00:00:36.080 Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.
00:00:39.300 There is no defense.
00:00:40.860 It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule.
00:00:44.620 Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.
00:00:50.280 Saul Alinsky rules for radicals.
00:00:53.820 Tensions were growing in 18th century France.
00:00:57.000 The population had exploded from 18 million people to 26 million people.
00:01:03.220 The economy was suffering due to massive government debt.
00:01:07.580 Paris had over 600,000 people living in the city,
00:01:10.160 and up to one-third of them were unemployed or had inconsistent work.
00:01:15.740 We have other examples in history.
00:01:17.540 When men are bored, they become dissatisfied.
00:01:20.420 When men have no good purpose, they find a purpose, sometimes evil.
00:01:25.700 The French farmers had been failing to grow enough food to feed the swelling population. 0.56
00:01:30.720 Coupled with prolonged periods of drought, then periods of flooding, led to poor harvests.
00:01:36.740 John Adams once visited France and noted the following.
00:01:39.980 The country is a heap of ashes.
00:01:42.680 grass is scarcely to be seen and all sorts of grain is short thin pale and feeble while the
00:01:51.180 flax is quite dead i pity this people for my soul no green peas no salad no vegetables to be had
00:02:00.360 upon the road and the sky is still as clear dry and cold as ever the flocks of sheep and herds
00:02:08.640 of cattle stalk about the fields like droves of walking skeletons. As a consequence of the
00:02:16.100 increase in demand and in the decrease in supply, food prices rose by 65 percent between 1770 and
00:02:25.320 1790, but wages increased by only 22 percent. Poor harvest throughout the 1780s culminated
00:02:33.600 in the most severe winter for decades in 1788 and 89. The farmers had nothing to sell, and the
00:02:41.860 urbanites' purchasing power had collapsed. The only people during this time to find fertile soil
00:02:48.260 were the propagandists. They blamed price increases on the government failing to prevent
00:02:54.520 profiteering. There were more pamphlets circulating the sins of the aristocracy than there were loaves
00:03:00.840 of bread to eat but due to the fact that many lower income people could not read the most
00:03:07.640 effective propaganda to incite revolution was the caricatures of the politicians and aristocrats
00:03:15.320 these revolutionaries promised the people liberty equality and fraternity a utopian paradise
00:03:22.760 but what the people of france received is now known as the reign of terror with the bloody
00:03:28.200 execution or murder of 40,000 French people. People want to believe their problems are caused
00:03:34.580 by an organization or people that are forcing them to live in pain, poverty, or misery. They
00:03:40.800 make promises that the lives of the people would be so much better without this oppressor class.
00:03:47.120 They promise liberty, equality, and fraternity in the French Revolution. In our time, according to
00:03:53.600 the propaganda, the oppressors are white supremacy, white privilege, and Christian
00:03:58.660 nationalism. Without them, the people could experience diversity, equality, and inclusion. 0.66
00:04:06.580 The King's Hall podcast exists to make self-ruled men who rule well and win the world.
00:04:14.520 Our aim in this season is to develop a vision for the new Christendom, plans to build a lasting
00:04:21.460 Christian order. And as we've taken up this project, there have been various shanty towns 1.00
00:04:27.360 on our job sites that needed to be knocked over a lot of evangelical nonsense, as we've discussed 0.91
00:04:32.900 earlier in the season, as well as various green groves and high places of various gods occupying
00:04:40.220 the job site, the place where we intend to build this cathedral of the new Christendom.
00:04:45.660 We build this cathedral like Nehemiah and his men rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem with a sword in one
00:04:51.120 hand and a trowel in the other, because this is not just a building project. I hope you don't 0.69
00:04:55.540 think that what we're talking about is just building things. No, this is also warfare.
00:05:01.420 It's building with the sword in the hand, because this is a war, not just a building project.
00:05:06.660 Some of the tactics of the enemy are obvious. You see the frontal assault of Darwinism as an
00:05:11.720 obvious example. It's plain to see that Darwinism just is an attack on Christianity.
00:05:17.080 But some of the tactics are less obvious. Some of the tactics that we will have to be aware of
00:05:22.760 and fight against, to play good defense against. One such attack is the subject of today's episode.
00:05:31.480 The attack on, to use their terminology, what we might call whiteness. The attack on white people,
00:05:37.160 on European-ness, on Western civilization, on old dead Christian white men, whatever you want to 0.99
00:05:44.160 call it. And our proposition in today's episode is that this war on whiteness is actually an 0.95
00:05:50.060 asymmetrical attack on Christianity. To put it another way, if the world didn't hate Christianity, 0.60
00:05:55.800 it wouldn't be so busy right now hating white people and the civilization built in the Western 0.98
00:06:02.540 world by largely white people groups. So here's where we're heading in the episode. First, 0.91
00:06:08.740 we're going to give you some examples of what we mean by the war on whiteness and some of the
00:06:13.100 historical roots of this and what it looks like today. Then we'll look at specifically some of
00:06:18.200 the prongs of this asymmetrical warfare, this attack, and work through how we ought to think
00:06:25.060 about them and respond. And then finally, since the King's Hall, gentlemen, is a bastion of
00:06:30.740 winsomeness and nuance, we're going to close with a few things we're not saying, just to head off
00:06:35.460 some of the obvious ways that our rhetoric and topic might be misunderstood, including by those
00:06:41.120 who insist on intentionally misunderstanding and even weaponizing these things against us.
00:06:47.140 So, I mean, first, welcome to the King's Hall, gentlemen.
00:06:49.400 I completely forgot to introduce you.
00:06:50.740 I'm Brian Soveig.
00:06:51.460 I'm joined here by some white Christian men.
00:06:54.900 Yeah, Eric Kahn here. 0.77
00:06:55.860 And first of all, Brian, how dare you?
00:06:57.760 And second of all.
00:06:58.680 That we're talking about whiteness, excuse me? 0.97
00:07:02.680 Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. 0.97
00:07:03.740 Is this the How to Get Canceled episode?
00:07:05.480 We're trying to win friends and influence people.
00:07:07.480 This must be a Mott and Bailey fallacy, right?
00:07:09.840 Right, of course.
00:07:10.720 We're just saying something really offensive and then going to retreat.
00:07:13.360 And then we're going to retreat.
00:07:14.180 What we mean is not that.
00:07:15.860 All we mean is that they're in Christ.
00:07:17.820 There's no barbarian, Scythian, slave free, but Christ is all in it.
00:07:21.060 What did you call that? 0.70
00:07:21.960 The Motten Bailey?
00:07:22.560 Motten Bailey fallacy. 0.60
00:07:23.500 Motten Bailey.
00:07:24.040 Okay, so mine's not a fallacy, but it's a principle.
00:07:27.160 I say something offensive and then I triple down.
00:07:29.380 What's that called? 1.00
00:07:30.760 The only thing I talk about is the Jews. 1.00
00:07:33.100 That's the Eric Kahn strategy. 0.94
00:07:34.820 Eric Kahn.com.
00:07:35.720 Yeah.
00:07:36.600 Always like a jackhammer.
00:07:38.140 I literally see you, Eric.
00:07:39.700 Like people actually email me frequently about Eric.
00:07:43.180 They're like,
00:07:43.900 and when Brian doesn't respond,
00:07:46.420 they email me.
00:07:47.260 They're like,
00:07:47.740 I'm mad at Eric.
00:07:48.760 And I'm like,
00:07:50.040 okay,
00:07:50.740 you know,
00:07:51.300 I'm not Eric.
00:07:52.100 Right.
00:07:52.360 And they're like,
00:07:52.720 yeah,
00:07:52.960 I'm mad at Eric and he's not listening to me. 0.99
00:07:55.560 I was hoping you could go kick him in the shin for me. 0.94
00:07:58.740 And then I don't, 0.95
00:07:59.860 it's frequently asking you to put me under church discipline.
00:08:03.280 Generally,
00:08:03.680 that is for something that we're like,
00:08:05.980 oh no,
00:08:06.540 actually he's right.
00:08:07.740 I don't think he went far enough.
00:08:09.220 Let me explain.
00:08:10.300 You're wrong, actually.
00:08:11.040 And further offend you.
00:08:12.160 So that said.
00:08:14.080 And I'm Dan Burkholder, by the way.
00:08:15.180 Yeah, Dan Burkholder.
00:08:16.100 I mean, it goes without. 0.92
00:08:17.800 A man who needs no introduction. 1.00
00:08:19.960 Really, actually, I do.
00:08:21.840 Nobody knows who I am, and that's okay. 0.85
00:08:23.760 The Nordic, bald, very white Dan Burkholder. 0.87
00:08:27.220 Yes, that's right. 0.80
00:08:28.360 Speaking of whiteness, Eric had been watching this television series that included some Danes. 0.97
00:08:34.000 And he was like, you know, the enemies, the Danes. 0.98
00:08:35.960 Well, actually, they kind of look like you. 0.97
00:08:37.960 I'm like, well, thank you, but I mean, like a fatter desk version of a Dane. 0.92
00:08:43.720 Were they bad Danes or were they good Danes? 0.98
00:08:45.740 Were they great Danes?
00:08:46.920 I mean, what kind of Danes are we talking about here?
00:08:50.000 Dude, the setup, that is gold. 0.96
00:08:51.800 You're welcome.
00:08:52.820 All right.
00:08:53.280 Anyway, so, yeah.
00:08:56.380 All right.
00:08:57.080 Here at the King's Hall, not only winsomeness and nuance, smooth transitions.
00:09:01.160 What are we talking about here?
00:09:02.600 What are some examples?
00:09:03.700 You know, walk me.
00:09:04.540 I know, Dan, you wrote this cold open on the French Revolution.
00:09:07.520 with some tie-ins to our topic here,
00:09:10.760 showing this in another context.
00:09:12.120 Can you walk us through that a little bit more?
00:09:13.720 Yeah, this tactic that we're talking about is really,
00:09:16.560 I said in the French Revolution,
00:09:18.860 there were propagandists and they're running this.
00:09:22.320 It's a more subtle attack.
00:09:23.980 It's like a flanking maneuver instead of a direct attack.
00:09:27.700 And these plays are being run constantly.
00:09:30.440 So in the French Revolution,
00:09:31.920 you obviously had people that had problems.
00:09:34.640 They were hungry.
00:09:35.300 they uh they had this view of the uh of like marie antoinette who i don't the thing is with
00:09:45.860 history you actually don't know what's true that's true yeah but i mean she was like eccentric and
00:09:51.480 had some issues probably yeah but they definitely painted her in a way where nobody should have
00:09:57.300 liked her you know and so i had quoted saul alinsky in his rules for radicals yeah where
00:10:03.280 he says that ridicule is man's most potent weapon there is no defense yeah it is impossible to
00:10:10.560 counter-attack ridicule and so this play is has been run throughout history you've seen this
00:10:16.600 happen multiple times most famously and most well-known is hitler blaming the jews for all
00:10:23.360 of the problems of the german people when in reality it was why is this funny just because
00:10:30.700 eric every episode is known for the for to be like hey uh you know i'm talking about this guy
00:10:36.840 who was a jew and he just then he just moves on every time and we're always like
00:10:41.180 the little yarmulke thing yeah anyway carry on when in reality it was it was allied forces that 0.92
00:10:48.620 had taxed the snot out of the german people and just plunged them into poverty but they found an 0.76
00:10:54.600 oppressor class and were able to demonize a common enemy and unite the people into a cause. 0.94
00:11:02.820 And so what I'm proposing is that similarly in the French Revolution, where you had massive
00:11:07.280 government debt, you had rising prices, and the government is actually wicked. That's the thing.
00:11:12.820 I'm sure that in the 18th century, the French government was actually wicked. But today we
00:11:19.400 have a wicked government. They're stealing your money in the form of inflation. Prices are rising
00:11:25.140 and they're, they need to have an enemy. That's not them. That's not the government. They need
00:11:30.920 to have an enemy. And so the attack right now is on whiteness. Even in recent history, you can see 0.95
00:11:37.240 this. For the project of this season to be successful, the project of seeing a new Christendom
00:11:43.600 built, there will need to be thousands and thousands of Christian men and women who are
00:11:47.780 equipped to stand for the truth of scripture against the errors of both the liberal church
00:11:52.680 and the pagan culture. This is one reason we're so glad to be partnering with our sponsor for
00:11:57.760 this season, Reformation Heritage Books. Reformation Heritage Books offers a large
00:12:02.480 selection of helpful and theologically rigorous resources on everything from biblical theology
00:12:08.280 to history to blue-collar family discipleship, the type of library and resources that could make
00:12:14.500 the kind of men and women I just described, grounded in the rich heritage of the Reformed
00:12:19.120 faith. We'd like to highlight one resource in particular, their Family Worship Bible Guide,
00:12:24.600 that presents rich devotional thoughts on all 1,189 chapters of the Bible, including searching
00:12:31.100 questions to promote conversation and to help you in leading your family in such a way as to say
00:12:35.780 with Joshua, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Tap the link in the description
00:12:41.000 of this episode to pick one up today.
00:12:44.500 in 2023 indigo sundries became one of our sponsors at the time their business was little
00:12:54.280 more than a side hobby generating a couple hundred dollars a month but because of their
00:12:58.100 partnership with us and because all of you chose to support them they've grown enough to make it
00:13:01.960 their full-time livelihood this is what happens when christians support christians our communities
00:13:06.060 are strengthened and faithful businesses thrive so if you're a christian business owner who wants
00:13:10.220 to reach thousands of like-minded people and grow your company, we'd love to partner with you.
00:13:14.800 Email us at advertising at newchristendompress.com.
00:13:25.600 Yeah, so I was going to ask you, Dan, like today you mentioned that we have
00:13:28.760 diversity, equity, and inclusion, sort of the three prongs of this progressive leftism.
00:13:35.180 These are really borrowed from three terms in the French Revolution, which I think were
00:13:39.200 Liberté, égalité, fraternité.
00:13:43.220 Yeah, and the amazing thing about this is...
00:13:45.220 That was Dan, by the way.
00:13:45.240 That was definitely not me.
00:13:46.720 I refuse to speak French. 0.95
00:13:48.440 Well, it's because Brian is French.
00:13:50.540 The Pope himself is French.
00:13:53.000 Well, the Pope may be French, but Jesus is English. 0.99
00:13:55.440 You're on. 0.75
00:13:56.080 Yes!
00:13:57.560 I am...
00:13:58.460 I had a complaint from a patron, actually, saying that you speak too much French.
00:14:03.560 You know what?
00:14:03.940 Any French, I think, to a lot of people, is too much French. 1.00
00:14:06.300 And they have a point. 1.00
00:14:06.980 Amen to that person.
00:14:07.780 Freedom for us.
00:14:08.040 They have a point.
00:14:09.200 Freedom Fries. 1.00
00:14:10.980 Do they want more Ojibwe? 0.85
00:14:12.920 So what is your name? 1.00
00:14:19.000 Pardon?
00:14:20.080 Was that what they were saying?
00:14:21.100 You got to go to the after hours. 0.98
00:14:22.420 You got to get on after hours for the Ojibwe.
00:14:24.160 This person actually did ask if you had your computer up with Ojibwe words to just randomly say. 1.00
00:14:29.640 Look, these lies are Agnash. 0.97
00:14:31.980 Look. 1.00
00:14:33.940 No, no Ojibwe. 1.00
00:14:35.720 No, hey, lies. 1.00
00:14:37.400 Lies. 0.69
00:14:38.360 Propagandists. 0.82
00:14:38.760 Anyway, what were we talking about?
00:14:40.680 Oh, the three terms.
00:14:42.120 Yeah, the three terms, yeah.
00:14:43.160 And so—
00:14:43.880 The principle—their utopian ideals.
00:14:47.100 Yeah, and really—
00:14:47.700 Like, if we can attain this, we'll all be happy.
00:14:49.360 What's confusing about it is—so the ultimate goal, as you mentioned, is destroying the pillars of Christianity, which include family, self-governance, representative governance, that sort of thing.
00:15:00.200 But they use words that seem really good.
00:15:02.960 Like, who wouldn't want freedom?
00:15:04.540 Yeah.
00:15:04.700 But they mean something completely contrary to what we as Christians would define freedom as.
00:15:10.180 This gets adopted today, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
00:15:14.640 And one of the things that we talk about with equity is actually this gross perversion of racism through things like critical race theory, wokeness, white fragility, the book. 0.58
00:15:25.580 That sort of nomenclature, Black Lives Matter, it's really just meant to divide and destroy America so that the elites can make a power grab.
00:15:35.340 Their definitions are different. 0.99
00:15:37.820 What did you say about the French Revolution?
00:15:40.740 They promised freedom, liberty, and fraternity, and instead they got the guillotine.
00:15:49.000 Yeah, that's right.
00:15:49.900 Just a bloodbath.
00:15:50.520 That's right. And what this is fundamentally is a power play where you have a kingdom that is attempting to consolidate power and defeat an enemy. And our proposition is that that enemy has always been Christianity and truly Christian culture.
00:16:09.040 If you look at the enemy, the way that the French Revolution framed their enemies, it ultimately was the war of a different religion against Christian faith and Christian society. 0.92
00:16:21.760 I know that we're going to have a period at the end of this podcast where we're saying, you know, this is not what we're saying.
00:16:28.140 Yeah. 0.91
00:16:28.400 But I'm just going to front load it right here because one of the things I hear when we're talking like this is that, oh, these Christians, they just have a persecution complex. 0.86
00:16:36.400 Oh, sure.
00:16:36.740 Like they just think they're being persecuted all the time.
00:16:39.040 And what I'm saying is, no, no, that's not what I'm saying, that we're being persecuted.
00:16:44.000 We are being played by an enemy.
00:16:46.180 We're at war.
00:16:47.120 And so the enemy is running some sort of measure.
00:16:50.180 They're trying to take some sort of ground.
00:16:51.840 They're trying to fortify certain defenses.
00:16:54.040 And what we're trying to do is head that off in a countermeasure in sorties and different attacks to make sure that our people aren't actually persuaded by the propaganda of the enemy.
00:17:05.240 So it's not a persecution thing.
00:17:06.640 It is definitely countermeasures in war.
00:17:08.680 Yeah, we're saying we're at war. We're trying to win. Like, Christianity is trying to conquer the world. That's the thing.
00:17:15.500 No Mont and Bailey there either.
00:17:17.140 No, totally. I mean...
00:17:18.680 It is world domination. Every knee will bow.
00:17:21.200 We're trying to see the nations converted, baptized, discipled, and instructed. So it's like, you know, we're going out. That's what we're openly trying to do, right?
00:17:31.040 And in the West, particularly in countries that were European, Western Christendom, you saw the peak of success in this mission.
00:17:42.520 Like you saw basically whole societies that were self-described.
00:17:47.220 They were Christian societies.
00:17:48.460 They're like, we're Christians.
00:17:49.480 Our law is Christian law.
00:17:50.580 Our rulers are Christian rulers. 1.00
00:17:51.620 You have to be a Christian to be a ruler. 1.00
00:17:53.420 All of that's true. 1.00
00:17:54.440 And so as a way of counterattacking Christendom, the other team will always attempt lots of different strategies to try to undermine, grab power, consolidate, divide and conquer. 0.89
00:18:06.940 And what we're saying is that some of the same tactics that were used in the French Revolution to demonize the enemies of this revolution are analogous to the tactics that are being used right now to wage war on this, quote unquote, whiteness, white culture. 0.78
00:18:25.860 And our proposition is that that's actually just a proxy war for Christianity. 0.74
00:18:31.620 They're just trying – they hate Christianity as the reason that they ultimately are at war with whiteness. 0.83
00:18:37.600 If Christendom had developed in Africa and we had everything inverted, the war would also be inverted. 0.98
00:18:44.180 It would be over blackness. 0.99
00:18:45.000 But it's not. 0.95
00:18:46.400 Historically, it's – we're talking about Western Christendom. 0.90
00:18:50.800 So we're talking about a culture that was built by Christianity, Western civilization, and that that culture was very white. 0.85
00:18:58.820 A lot of it was very white. 0.77
00:18:59.760 And so in hatred of that, they'll attack whiteness as a proxy. 0.75
00:19:04.320 Yeah. 0.94
00:19:04.480 So we've seen a lot of rise of this since the 1970s in America.
00:19:07.980 The left movement has changed, been on campuses, all sorts of stuff like that. 0.78
00:19:13.060 But really what it is, fomenting hatred among different people groups, particularly in America, we see the white-black thing. 0.74
00:19:21.580 You can talk about BLM. 0.81
00:19:22.560 I'm sure we'll get into this.
00:19:23.100 Well, and also, I mean, being the host of the Hard Men podcast, you talk about masculinity.
00:19:28.140 And that's another attack.
00:19:29.500 Right.
00:19:29.560 Well, in particular, like, I remember the BLM thing during 20—I became really aware of it in, like, 2020 when all that stuff was going on in the rioting.
00:19:37.440 And I just went to their website, and I was like, what is Black Lives Matter?
00:19:40.720 And you look on their website, and they're like, we're anti-patriarchy, anti-nuclear family, basically anti-Christendom.
00:19:45.720 Like pro-socialism, pro-trans.
00:19:47.280 They refer to each other as, like, you know, comrades. 0.89
00:19:50.640 So clearly they're a Marxist organization that is trying to divide the country. 0.96
00:19:55.360 They're really not—they don't give a rip about black people. 0.94
00:19:57.920 Yeah, at the end of the day.
00:19:58.640 And that shows because all the money that was given to them was to buy nice houses and wealthy neighborhoods.
00:20:04.520 The other thing I want to tie all this to is like we've described what we think, you know, what they're going after, which is Christendom.
00:20:11.120 But who is it?
00:20:12.200 And this is where a lot of times we can sound, you know, this is the tinfoil hat conspiracy theory stuff.
00:20:18.500 But I remember Joe Boot talking about this on the Ezra Institute podcast.
00:20:21.500 And he said, listen, you know, the global elite that are trying to force this globalist agenda, he said, it's not conspiracy theory.
00:20:30.940 Like Klaus Schwab, he's literally come out and said, this is what we're trying to do.
00:20:34.400 It's like on a web.
00:20:35.340 They publish it on their blog.
00:20:37.440 It's on YouTube.
00:20:38.420 And then if you quote it, they're like, conspiracy theory.
00:20:40.500 But what we're saying is, no.
00:20:41.940 Little rope, hot belly, goblin, demon. 1.00
00:20:44.840 He'll stab your daughter with a knife at the mall. 1.00
00:20:47.760 Okay. 1.00
00:20:49.900 Anyway, keep going.
00:20:50.800 I'm sorry.
00:20:51.160 That's for all you guys that like the humor of the podcast.
00:20:53.460 Ray, auto-tune that.
00:20:55.360 Auto-tune that.
00:20:56.500 He's just going to cut it out and put the actual song in.
00:20:58.980 Don't do that.
00:20:59.740 We actually, I don't know if you guys would agree, 1.00
00:21:01.260 but I actually agree there's this global homo regime, 1.00
00:21:04.620 this babelic... 1.00
00:21:05.520 Yeah, absolutely. 1.00
00:21:07.160 Whoever's behind it.
00:21:08.160 Yeah.
00:21:09.200 Pushing...
00:21:10.160 Satan and the demons. 0.98
00:21:11.480 For the death of Christendom.
00:21:13.440 Well, here's what it is.
00:21:14.760 It's the hatred of everything that God positively establishes as good
00:21:20.860 they call good evil and evil good and light dark and dark light so they will take every aspect
00:21:25.900 every pillar of of a christian society and they will promote the inversion of each pillar so
00:21:32.540 they'll say yeah like to your point about blm they'll say instead of nuclear families with a
00:21:38.360 man and a woman in covenant forever you know for life not forever for for life having children 0.99
00:21:43.300 naturally not being barren intentionally and raising them they'll say no trannies and 1.00
00:21:48.560 birth control and gay monkey pox orgies and like we're all for that they'll just like this is what 1.00
00:21:54.980 this is how they develop their strategy they just look at the bible and then they say not that and 0.98
00:22:00.260 that's that's the whole and it's so obvious that that's the agenda that you pretty much can't i
00:22:05.020 think it's indisputable that all of these things are just proxy war against christianity well a
00:22:10.600 lot of that i think and we'll probably get into this is that when you're uh when you have a
00:22:16.300 righteous person you've probably seen this if you're a christian in an unbelieving family
00:22:20.820 your family members will often say i feel like you're judging me i feel essentially like they're
00:22:27.380 condemned and it's because righteousness naturally condemns unrighteousness yeah people feel under
00:22:34.180 judgment what's that light reveals the darkness exactly what is said in first john right why did
00:22:39.360 cain kill abel because his brother's deeds were righteous and so he hated him well even even jesus
00:22:43.860 and john says that they hated the light because it revealed their unrighteous deeds yeah they came 0.99
00:22:49.680 in the light came on and they were like oh we're having a gay orgy here in this dark room and we 0.99
00:22:54.380 know it's bad and the light revealed it so go away light not like let's repent and stop having 1.00
00:23:01.460 our sinful ways instead they just say we hate that put it out kill it shoot it like shoot 0.99
00:23:07.440 shoot the light bulb out you know like kids trying to graffiti the neighborhood walmart 0.98
00:23:13.240 shooting out streetlights like it's the same instinct yes one of the questions i want to ask
00:23:18.020 dan you you were talking about this too and it it made me think what's happening in our country
00:23:22.420 because of all this is that particularly men white men are you know white patriarchy is enemy number
00:23:28.980 one so if you're a white man you're made to feel ashamed you know we need to decolonize our 0.97
00:23:33.480 bookshelves we become you know just the target for the left and for a global homo right white 0.82
00:23:40.340 Christian masculine men but we've also seen I think you know this has been unpopular for some 0.96
00:23:47.200 and very popular for others I think this is why you're seeing like white boy summer take off
00:23:51.360 because you've got a group of guys saying I don't have to be ashamed because I'm white right there's
00:23:55.740 nothing inherently sinful about being white and I I don't know if this is the right time but I want
00:24:00.620 to play this clip yeah let me let me hear it this is the uh this would be the opposite was this from
00:24:05.480 my sermon on Sunday um I think it was okay let's hear what you had to say go ahead and play it
00:24:09.660 whiteness has caused blindness of heart whiteness has caused blindness of heart i actually the thing
00:24:17.040 is i plagiarize all my sermons for matt chandler so eric pushed the the soundboard button while
00:24:23.900 wearing pit vipers i just want you all okay he actually did so let's let's talk let's talk about
00:24:28.960 some examples where we see this in society this actual hatred so because we're saying like that
00:24:34.500 this is happening but just this is a good example of a sermon clip where you are made to feel like
00:24:41.180 a racist well he's saying being white or being white like just the status of being a white person
00:24:47.780 yeah makes you guilty of this sin blindness of heart right so so i mean these are some examples
00:24:55.720 of when we say that there is you know a war on whiteness what we mean is that is these kind of
00:25:02.000 things like you are disallowed from loving your people in place and heritage you're you're called
00:25:07.180 names for doing that like if you just said we talked about this a few episodes uh in passing
00:25:12.780 at least but if you just said look i am norwegian i'm not norwegian so i am dan's norwegian i'm
00:25:19.960 norwegian if dan was like i love ikea is that norwegian that's swedish swedish close same
00:25:25.900 difference i'm just kidding we actually have some swedish listeners they were in church in utah on
00:25:30.640 on Sunday, passing through. Big fan of the Swedes,
00:25:32.900 even though I made fun of them on an after-hours
00:25:34.840 once. Hey, the Swedes actually are great. I'm actually
00:25:36.560 partly Swedish as well. I'm just kind of like a
00:25:38.600 mixture of Scandinavian countries. And also, shout out
00:25:40.700 Peter Forsberg, Hall of Famer, greatest hockey
00:25:42.740 player of all time in Colorado. Wow, Swedish. 1.00
00:25:44.520 I wanted to talk to him about it, but I didn't get the chance to. 1.00
00:25:46.700 The Swedes, also, they do to outlaw
00:25:48.580 homeschooling, though. So, I mean, that's real bad.
00:25:50.480 Okay, that's gay. But if Dan 1.00
00:25:52.520 just said, I love
00:25:53.960 this cultural heritage I have. If Dan said, I love
00:25:56.660 Wisconsin. Cheap furniture and
00:25:58.420 Swedish meatballs. I just love
00:26:00.000 cinnamon rolls in the Swedish people right now are like Ikea is not our culture please stop 1.00
00:26:06.900 they're like going to Alex Jones rant against the Kings all right now and we deserve it if you said 1.00
00:26:12.880 that as a white person for example if you got up and you just so at Weber State like last summer
00:26:20.280 or I think it was 2020 I might have shared this on the Kings Hall already but someone put up some
00:26:26.560 signs and they were like literally they wrote the words on a word document and printed it
00:26:32.520 and they taped them up around yeah and the weaver state campus that said this is all it said they
00:26:37.960 said it's okay to be white that was the sentence there were news articles about this the campus
00:26:44.340 police were deployed probably like pitchforks the campus issued a statement on it no in utah by the 0.58
00:26:50.680 way yes utah utah where it's like 99.3 percent white mormons like they were up in arms they were
00:26:57.800 vowing retribution against whoever did this if they could catch them guys all they put up was
00:27:03.060 it's okay to be white if they had put up a sign that said like being black is awesome or like
00:27:08.320 blackness is awesome or the the campus would have like actually paid for the signs like they would
00:27:13.780 have gotten a graphic designer to help they probably have done that so it just shows you
00:27:18.540 that there is an asymmetry here
00:27:21.200 about whether you're allowed to love your culture.
00:27:25.920 This is because of the intersectionality.
00:27:28.400 So, right, black people and persons of color,
00:27:31.160 you know, so Latinos, whatever, 0.60
00:27:33.040 they're seen as the most oppressed.
00:27:35.580 And so literally in this matrix,
00:27:37.540 like we've redefined sin, humanity,
00:27:40.220 fall, redemption, creation. 0.97
00:27:42.120 And the thing is like a black person can't sin. 0.97
00:27:45.240 We joke with one of the guys in our church who's Latino. 0.92
00:27:47.460 know like he'll say well i'm brown i can't sin like that's the joke but that's really actually 0.93
00:27:53.400 what's being taught meanwhile if you're white you just need to walk around and shame all the time 0.59
00:27:58.480 yeah i actually thought about for the show making you know make whiteness great again not just okay
00:28:03.220 but it's fine it's great people should be proud of their culture yeah be clear would mean being
00:28:09.240 christian the goal is shame and guilt because those people are easy to manipulate we talk about
00:28:13.860 this with pornography yeah pornography use makes guilty people men know they're guilty yeah that
00:28:19.600 they're actually they're dirty and what they do is disgusting and so they're easy to control and
00:28:24.420 to manipulate that's a similar play that's being run with like mansplaining you're not allowed to 0.67
00:28:29.340 say have an opinion mansplaining it's short it's a it's a it's putting two words together and ladies
00:28:34.780 what it means is man explaining so it's like if there's something that a woman might not understand
00:28:41.200 you're doing it right like how to let's just say change you on your car things a woman probably
00:28:45.960 wouldn't understand the man would explain it to the woman and some people have called this in a
00:28:50.720 derogatory way believe it or not so yeah mansplaining so they're doing the same thing
00:28:54.460 with with white voices essentially you cannot have an opinion if you're white you should actually be 0.86
00:29:00.620 guilty because of the sins of your fathers because you can't actually understand a certain people 0.74
00:29:06.020 you don't even have the mind for it doesn't even compute well think about you know you have like
00:29:09.960 spotify i've seen it on amazon prime places like this during certain months or times of the year
00:29:14.260 you know celebrate brown voices celebrate black voices but then you say can you imagine if we had
00:29:20.940 celebrate white voices month or if we had a white history month yeah i mean in the south that's like
00:29:27.360 every month but that's what they they're proud of their culture that's great you know but i i think
00:29:33.020 what you're getting down to is there's a double standard yes you know for example if at saint
00:29:37.960 Brendan's Classical Christian Academy, stbrendans.academy for more information and enrollment
00:29:42.480 and to donate. We are non-profits. I mean, yeah, come on. Help us educate people in the classical
00:29:50.620 Western tradition. But let's say that we put on our enrollment documents. We're like, check your,
00:29:56.040 you know, what race are you? And then if you were white, we gave you preferential enrollment. 0.84
00:30:02.820 we would be sued if we did that but if we did it where we had you know preferential enrollment for
00:30:10.000 black people we would actually just be called harvard like it would be so affirmative yeah
00:30:14.320 so you have these discriminatory race quotas in workplaces and schooling and actually they also
00:30:20.160 are discriminatory against you know like asian cultures and because asian culture has produced
00:30:25.460 extraordinarily high performing academics and so you can see where ridicule becomes really powerful
00:30:30.940 at this point because this is obvious to everyone yeah it's obvious to everyone so then that's where
00:30:35.580 you get the people coming out of the woodwork saying you're just saying that because oh you've
00:30:40.040 got it so rough because you're a white male yeah and you get paid more than women and then then
00:30:45.860 minorities and because your parents loved you and you had a dad or whatever the ridicule is that's
00:30:51.560 the that's the play then yeah well ultimately what we're talking about too is god constructed
00:30:58.020 differences and differentiation
00:31:00.020 in creation and culture.
00:31:02.040 So you look at the glory
00:31:04.460 of God's creation, Genesis 1,
00:31:06.720 there's differentiation, and that's
00:31:08.400 a beautiful thing. Men and women are different.
00:31:10.440 Cultures are also different.
00:31:12.780 And that can be
00:31:14.440 a really beautiful thing. All cultures
00:31:16.300 also have their sins. Cretans 1.00
00:31:18.360 happen to be liars, gluttons, whatever Paul said. 1.00
00:31:20.260 Yeah, according to Paul. And I would say that 0.99
00:31:22.280 every culture is kind of like that. We have our foibles
00:31:24.420 and we have the things that are really great
00:31:26.520 and should be celebrated, but I think what we're taught in our culture is you're not allowed to
00:31:30.460 notice. You're not allowed to notice the distinctions. I remember a pastor in the Midwest
00:31:34.720 saying one time, this was probably five years ago, but he said, yeah, this is such and such.
00:31:39.580 He's one of the elders at our church, and he said, he's brilliant. And he goes, of course he is. He's
00:31:43.860 a Jew. Jews are brilliant. And the thing is, when you look at them culturally, their intellect is
00:31:48.860 amazing. God has hardwired something into the Jewish mind that they are brilliant,
00:31:53.320 typically tend to be brilliant people well it's just 10 iq points higher than the average is it 0.95
00:31:59.300 a sin to notice those things yeah or culturally you know european culture would be uh specifically
00:32:05.820 one thing black culture same same thing yeah and even you know there's a there's a great book that
00:32:11.160 i would recommend reading on this subject called it's not on this subject exactly it's called
00:32:16.400 Albion's Seed, and it's tracing four British folkways and how they influenced the, essentially
00:32:23.400 the cultural milieu of different parts of America in its founding. And it was fascinating to see the
00:32:30.820 way that these British cultures in the Scots border culture, there were Virginia, Anglican
00:32:37.100 culture was shaped by different parts than Presbyterian, you know, New England. And so
00:32:43.780 they trace it and it just shows like cultures develop around their values. The place that
00:32:49.540 they're in shapes the culture. The history will shape the culture. You'll see things like hardship
00:32:55.920 and natural disaster will shape a culture. All of these different things go into a shape of a
00:33:00.300 culture. And because we're Christians, we're objectivists. Like we believe that there's an
00:33:04.320 actual measuring rod by which you can measure a culture and say, well, in this place, in this
00:33:10.080 place, in this place, it's doing really well. But in this area, it's really falling short.
00:33:16.080 And cultures tend to fall short and excel in similar directions, which to your point, Eric,
00:33:21.620 is why Paul could tell Titus, who's about to go on a church planting expedition on this 100 mile
00:33:26.800 long island named Crete in the Mediterranean, he says, Cretans, one of their poets has said, 0.99
00:33:32.940 Cretans are always liars, gluttons, and evil beasts. And he spoke rightly. Paul was totally 1.00
00:33:39.360 fine with generalization. Jesus was totally fine with generalization. He looked at the Pharisees
00:33:46.180 and he said, or the whole generation at his coming, and he said, you brood of vipers, he called them
00:33:50.420 a faithful and adulterous generation. And yet there were actually his own followers were from
00:33:56.740 that generation too. So clearly Jesus wasn't saying every member of the category was faithless,
00:34:04.680 nor is Paul saying every Cretan literally is a glutton or a beast. There is such thing as trend
00:34:11.160 analysis, pattern recognition. There's such thing as cultural generalization that is biblically
00:34:17.000 permissible according to the Lord and his apostles. And in our culture, you can tell
00:34:24.220 in which direction the ideological war is running by which places you're not allowed to notice those
00:34:30.340 patterns yeah i was even thinking about you look at like the humor that came out of the 70s 70s 80s
00:34:36.960 i mean some of it is still around today if you go to like a dave chapelle uh bill burr maybe but
00:34:41.420 it used to be that we would joke about ethnic differences all the time yeah and and it wasn't
00:34:46.820 like offensive but i think what's happened culturally is that we've been trained to take
00:34:51.240 offense at everything yeah where where even i like somebody will say something and you just
00:34:55.360 you'll immediately your knee jerk is to be offended yeah and then you stop and you say well
00:34:59.580 why why am I offended by that yeah it's like you can make fun of your own family and be like yeah
00:35:04.260 we're really loud when we play at card games or whatever it's like every hard to get a word in
00:35:08.800 edgewise and you make fun of your family and it's like generally true that that's the case
00:35:12.360 and it's just like you're laughing you're not taking yourself so seriously and you can tell
00:35:19.280 where the ideological fronts are in a court like by noticing where you're not allowed to laugh
00:35:26.180 where you're no longer allowed to tell a joke
00:35:29.020 when Dave Chappelle gets up
00:35:30.580 and tells a joke about transgenderism
00:35:32.580 and the entire world comes together 0.61
00:35:36.480 to try and end his career,
00:35:38.520 which is hilarious because he doesn't care.
00:35:40.780 And they can't end his career
00:35:42.340 because he'll just keep making videos
00:35:44.760 and publish them himself.
00:35:45.640 And it turns out to be the best special Netflix
00:35:47.460 has ever had.
00:35:47.740 And then it's like the most profitable,
00:35:48.860 so capitalism wins.
00:35:51.360 That's really interesting
00:35:52.680 because you've seen other people
00:35:54.820 say things that are true
00:35:56.120 and then the ire of the public comes down on them
00:35:59.820 and they apologize for it.
00:36:01.480 Yes.
00:36:01.760 And that's when I think you lose.
00:36:04.320 Yeah, you've already lost.
00:36:05.340 If you apologize, like J.K. Rowling did this.
00:36:08.040 Oh, yeah.
00:36:08.720 Once she caved, she was dead in the water.
00:36:12.060 I feel like the people, if you're going to do it,
00:36:13.720 you need to lean into it, lean into the buzzsaw,
00:36:15.820 and just not care.
00:36:16.700 Yeah, Drew Brees did that as well.
00:36:18.500 Oh, yeah, he apologized.
00:36:20.040 Even I've seen people like rappers,
00:36:23.300 and it's a Snoop Dogg, 1.00
00:36:24.540 you know, you said derogatory things about women. Do you want to take it back? And he was like,
00:36:27.420 nope. And they immediately left him alone. It was like, okay. Like, well, we can't get this guy.
00:36:32.880 So, I mean, you know, we're just going to ignore him. Yeah. So let's talk about some of, let's name
00:36:37.720 some of the prongs in this war, like, and how they, and how we should be thinking through and
00:36:41.920 handling them. I think it'd be helpful. So we can kind of give a name to things that I think a lot
00:36:46.600 of people are feeling. Maybe our listeners are like, yeah, I get what you're saying. And I intuit
00:36:54.440 it, I intuitively understand that this is happening, but what are the plays that are
00:36:59.580 being run? So one of them would be that they'll try to make you feel shame where you ought
00:37:05.780 to actually feel honor and they'll try to make you despise what you actually ought to
00:37:12.000 love. So, so what do we mean by that? What does that look like?
00:37:15.580 Yeah. You brought up Nehemiah in the introduction, Nehemiah and San Balot. And I had, I had
00:37:24.440 printed this off ahead of time. I didn't know you were actually going to talk about it.
00:37:28.040 But what is happening are the Jews are trying to rebuild the wall in Jerusalem. They had the sword
00:37:32.920 and everything like that. Well, Sanbalat heard that they were building the wall and he was angry,
00:37:37.220 greatly enraged, and jeered at the Jews. And he now launches this propaganda against them,
00:37:44.020 trying to discourage them from their work, making them try to feel shame at what they're actually
00:37:49.320 doing. He says, what are these feeble Jews doing? Will they restore it for themselves? Will they 0.98
00:37:54.200 sacrifice? Will they finish it in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish and
00:37:59.620 the burned ones at that? Yes. What are they building? If a fox goes up, he will break down
00:38:05.880 their stone wall. And so they're trying to launch this propaganda manipulation tactic. You're trying
00:38:13.000 to actually build something. You're trying to be a good father. You're trying to be a good provider.
00:38:16.860 You're trying to be a good husband.
00:38:18.740 You're trying to be a good Christian man, a churchman.
00:38:22.540 And all around you, the enemy is trying to make you feel shame, actually, at all of those things.
00:38:29.100 Yeah, they'll say, oh, you built an inheritance for your children's children?
00:38:34.260 It's because of your privilege.
00:38:35.760 Yeah, your privilege.
00:38:36.440 It's because of your privilege.
00:38:37.480 And you know where you got that privilege?
00:38:39.060 You stole it.
00:38:40.000 From the backs of slaves. 0.91
00:38:41.200 You stole it from, regardless of the fact that your family immigrated in 1937 from Norway. 0.64
00:38:47.280 Or that I had ancestors that fought for the union.
00:38:49.940 Yeah, like Dan is a yank.
00:38:52.960 I mean, in his ancestry, pretty much so.
00:38:55.000 Much to my chagrin. 0.97
00:38:55.540 He's a yank.
00:38:56.480 So, wow, okay, we'll nuance that later.
00:38:59.520 He's like, no, but you know what I'm saying?
00:39:01.440 Both sides were bad.
00:39:02.780 They'll say, you ought to be, like when somebody says you have white privilege, you ought to
00:39:07.680 say, yes, and I hope my children have even more of it.
00:39:11.140 You ought to say, white privilege? 0.54
00:39:13.600 Yeah, what you're talking about is the glorious inheritance of Western Christendom.
00:39:19.080 And we're in the ruins of it right now, but I fully intend to rebuild it again and give my kids even more of it.
00:39:25.040 Don't you want your kids to have privilege too?
00:39:28.180 They'll want you to be ashamed of what you actually ought to be thankful for.
00:39:32.920 Yeah, I think a big part of it too is a violation of the Fifth Commandment.
00:39:36.560 They're trying to get you patriarchy, father rule, and then patriotism, love of the fatherland.
00:39:43.660 So much of it is wanting us to hate what our fathers built.
00:39:46.980 Now, one of the things when you look back on fathers, yeah, surely you should repent of their sins.
00:39:51.360 But you have to look at the whole picture.
00:39:54.220 Even in America, I know this would be wildly unpopular. 0.99
00:39:57.620 But you look at even the Native Americans. 1.00
00:40:00.660 And you'll watch like Dances with Wolves.
00:40:02.580 And it's like, they were wonderful people who built dream catchers. 0.97
00:40:05.940 and also happened to be butchering white people. 0.87
00:40:09.680 Peace with the, or like when they, you know, in war, 0.99
00:40:12.940 you'd have like the Cherokees literally like flaying their enemies alive 0.97
00:40:15.940 while they're tied to a tree. 1.00
00:40:17.500 Yeah, and there's, you know, there was sin on both sides,
00:40:20.660 you know, brutalities escalated, things that we would say not good.
00:40:24.360 And that's fine for us to say, hey, we repent of that.
00:40:26.980 And yet on the whole, we can look at the American project
00:40:30.000 and the Puritan influence and the freedoms
00:40:32.940 and the lifestyle that we've been able to enjoy
00:40:35.180 as the fruit of their work.
00:40:36.340 And we don't have to hate our fathers.
00:40:38.440 In fact, it would be sinful for us to do so.
00:40:41.220 Yeah, we should be willing to do a sober assessment
00:40:47.100 of our families and a sober assessment of our cultures,
00:40:51.180 a sober assessment of our peoples.
00:40:53.160 Be able to do a sober assessment
00:40:54.760 even of things like the first Christendom
00:40:56.720 and recognize, well, yeah, there was some bad,
00:41:01.460 there was some sin there.
00:41:02.940 And we're going to objectively and ruthlessly even measure that against the canon.
00:41:08.280 Canon is a word that just means read.
00:41:09.840 It's like a measuring read.
00:41:11.060 It's a ruler.
00:41:12.020 So we're going to measure it against the ruler of God's word, right?
00:41:15.020 That's what we're going to do.
00:41:15.840 And then we're going to say, our fathers were imperfect men.
00:41:20.120 Our fathers were sinners. 0.59
00:41:21.680 And yet our fathers were Christian men.
00:41:24.220 Our fathers gave us this inheritance.
00:41:26.420 They would actually want us, especially now from the great cloud of witnesses, our father
00:41:29.840 would want us to walk in further holiness and to continue to reform according to the scriptures.
00:41:36.660 And against that, one of the other prongs of the attack that you'll see is that
00:41:41.060 they'll try to obscure and dismiss the glories of a culture or a people by pointing and magnifying
00:41:49.860 the sins. So they don't want you to do that. They don't want you to look at it and say,
00:41:54.240 there were sins and we're going to make eye contact with them and we're going to damn the
00:41:58.680 sins. And also we're going to be thankful for the glories. Christendom Bible College offers a one
00:42:05.540 year certificate in the humanities for students who intend to pursue a degree or for students
00:42:10.060 who prefer to begin their chosen occupations upon completion of our program. Older students
00:42:15.360 who never attended college or who went to a college where the humanities were less robust
00:42:19.740 will also find our program stimulating and suitable. Located steps from the Ohio River
00:42:25.280 and the town of New Richmond, we're unaccredited in order to remain free to teach as our biblically
00:42:30.900 minded consciences demand. As servants of Christ, we won't wear the yoke of the woke. Instead,
00:42:38.120 we stand on the shoulders of Christianity's giants, not to stew in nostalgia, but to see
00:42:43.320 through the culture war's fog, for the glorious days of a Christendom still to be built.

00:43:07.160 of our very own Dr. Frank J. Smith's new book, Race, Church, and Society.
00:43:16.180 Just like any human life, there's sanctification. Cultures are sanctified too.
00:43:20.340 So it's like they don't want you to do that.
00:43:22.260 what they want to do is magnify all of the sins of christendom and and this again looks in this
00:43:29.260 asymmetrical warfare magnifying the sense of whiteness and europeanness and western europeanness
00:43:34.220 and all these things and and then they actually go and they met and they they downplay the glories
00:43:39.260 but then they also magnify and they make utopian fables out of non-christian right cultures the
00:43:47.260 black panther exactly like they'll say oh in africa the tribes were before white people got
00:43:53.000 there before white people came with christianity they were it was just this utopian society same 0.61
00:43:56.940 with native americans and the reality is that's all nonsense human beings since the fall create 0.87
00:44:02.200 bloodthirsty evil cultures without the influence of christ that's what we do there is no culture 0.71
00:44:08.080 over a long enough time horizon that you can look at without christ that is not a terrible place to
00:44:14.960 be. I mean, and I'm not overstating it. You can look on any continent at any people group. And 0.54
00:44:21.960 this whole myth of the noble savage, it's just, it's Rousseauian romantic idealism. It's complete
00:44:26.940 nonsense. It's garbage. It's not rooted in any fact. No, it's just, it's completely fabricated 1.00
00:44:31.840 based on the presuppositions of ideology that are guiding it, which are anti-Christian ideology.
00:44:39.020 And that's the motive that we need to be trained to see when we see that is not just to go, oh,
00:44:44.060 they're romanticizing this, you know, tribal culture, this native culture. You need to see,
00:44:48.600 no, they're hating Christianity because what they're trying to say is before Christian
00:44:54.620 influence, there was utopia. Christianity is what destroyed it. 0.62
00:44:59.280 Yeah. And I think, you know, we talked with Chalk Knox about this, his, you know, 0.90
00:45:03.820 give me the black church or I die. He has a real love for the black church and the black people 0.96
00:45:07.920 and wants to see them flourish. And we say that's okay. And then you go to white,
00:45:12.120 if he said that about white culture...
00:45:14.480 If Eric's profile said, 1.00
00:45:15.580 give me the white church or I die. 0.98
00:45:16.860 Yeah, it would be problematic in our culture. 0.99
00:45:19.280 Twitter would probably ban you, I think.
00:45:20.520 Yeah, people would freak out about that.
00:45:22.460 But the other point I would make about this,
00:45:24.840 say like for Chalk,
00:45:26.520 if he really is, and I believe he is,
00:45:28.260 going to do great things for the black church,
00:45:30.700 he's got to be able to look at it realistically
00:45:32.460 and say, here's the good things
00:45:34.400 and here's the bad things.
00:45:36.880 Whitewashing, people would be offended at that term. 0.76
00:45:39.480 If you were whitewashing the black church,
00:45:41.340 meaning you know that if you're looking at it and you're just it's all rosy yeah or if it's all 0.77
00:45:47.400 negative well you're probably not going to be able to help them right um so you've got to look at the
00:45:51.500 full picture i think votie bacham has even said this you know after the george floyd thing um
00:45:56.220 they were like when are you going to talk about police brutality against black people and he said
00:45:59.860 well i would probably address fatherless black homes first because that's significantly greater
00:46:05.620 probably um and they don't you know culturally we don't we don't want to hear vadi is not actually
00:46:09.560 black if he says that yeah he's not a true black and yeah he's not the right black voice he's
00:46:14.360 actually just uh a puppet of whiteness right you see how they run this play it's actually 0.99
00:46:19.160 disgusting they say he's a house slave yeah they say they say yeah absolutely offensive things 0.98
00:46:24.840 because what they're saying is you if unless you agree with us you're not actually black like 0.99
00:46:29.900 biden said that you don't vote for me you ain't black i've actually heard what a gaffe machine 0.80
00:46:36.220 Yeah, like former seminary student friends, like one guy told me, he said, I'm sick and tired of white Christians using like Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell and people like this. 0.93
00:46:46.040 They don't represent black communities.
00:46:48.320 They believe in math and economics. 1.00
00:46:50.440 And I was like, well, who gets to determine that?
00:46:52.940 Yeah. 1.00
00:46:53.900 Like who gets to determine which black voices?
00:46:56.380 Because it's really not even consistent. 0.87
00:46:58.200 Yeah, that's right. 0.96
00:46:59.340 There's a lot of black conservatives who don't agree with wokeness. 0.70
00:47:02.060 Yes. 0.70
00:47:03.060 And the thing is, if you are trying to dismiss all of the glories of any culture by basically weaponizing their sins, you can do it with any culture.
00:47:13.620 Because, again, human beings are sinful.
00:47:16.440 You put a lot of them together, it doesn't cancel out.
00:47:19.720 It's not like two negatives multiplying.
00:47:22.340 It actually exponentially magnifies the sin.
00:47:25.300 The more people you get in there, they all start piling up their sins and sinning because the other person sinned at them, so they sin back, and then they sin back because they sinned at the sinning back.
00:47:34.260 And it's just like that's human culture apart from Christ.
00:47:36.740 One thing we talked about before we rolled the recording for this episode is that what this does is it obscures some of the peculiar glories of Western Christendom, things like wherever Christianity has gone, women and children have actually, the plight of women and children has exponentially improved. 0.81
00:47:57.800 Even atheists like Tom Holland, historian Tom Holland, wrote a book about this recently.
00:48:02.640 I can't remember the title, but he wrote a book about this recently. 0.98
00:48:05.900 Again, atheist, not a Christian.
00:48:07.520 And he was like, yeah, the reason that women and children are culturally valued today is because of Christianity.
00:48:11.980 And places where Christianity hasn't gone, women and children are not culturally valued at the same place. 0.54
00:48:16.560 Would you like to go live in a predominantly Muslim culture if you're a woman? 0.97
00:48:22.840 Nope. 1.00
00:48:23.420 No.
00:48:23.860 Absolutely not.
00:48:24.640 No, I think I've mentioned it before too, but this is a book by Alvin Schmidt. It's called How Christianity Changed the World. It talks about what's been done for human rights. I don't necessarily agree with that term, but as we understand it, better for the liberty of human beings, better for women, healthcare, hospitals, things like that, technology.
00:48:44.580 so much of the things that we appreciate in the West as providing our quality of life come from
00:48:51.340 directly from Christianity, including science. It's been distorted and twisted and hijacked,
00:48:56.420 but science is a predominantly Christian endeavor. Yeah, which is why you see even 1.00
00:49:01.440 things like math and analytical reasoning being attributed to whiteness. Thinking like in some of
00:49:08.900 these race sensitivity trainings in workplaces and schools, you'll look at the slides that leak
00:49:15.180 out. People go, I was made to look at this or to sit through this class, and it'll be like examples
00:49:20.100 of white supremacy, and it'll be like analytical reasoning, insistence upon logic, like the use
00:49:25.340 of math. And again, asymmetrical warfare against Christianity, that's what's happening. Because
00:49:31.880 the Christian worldview is what gave the only foundation presuppositionally for things like 0.99
00:49:38.520 logic, reason, and math, and science to cohere and to actually work, you would not have the 0.89
00:49:43.920 scientific revolution happen in a non-Christian culture. It simply would not happen. The book, 1.00
00:49:50.620 by the way, was Dominion, How the Christian Revolution Remade the World by Tom Holland,
00:49:54.840 but talking about the same thing, it sounds like this Schmidt book was talking about.
00:49:58.720 And I think this is one reason why you mentioned this. I think why you see a lot of professors who
00:50:03.080 were like oh math is racist i think they're probably recognizing a historical reality that
00:50:08.520 that it's been a lot of white people who develop math every now and then you'll hear the argument
00:50:13.120 that that the genius of math really comes from muslims yeah the arabic world the arabic world 1.00
00:50:17.980 but predominantly people i mean i've i've even heard feminists are like all the great inventions
00:50:23.340 are men and it pisses me off and they're all white you know but but there's a lot of fact there 0.95
00:50:28.500 And what that is, again, like the one error that you could make would be to go that it is because of some intrinsic genetic superiority of whiteness that, you know, we're like that just produces math. 0.67
00:50:41.040 And what we're saying is that actually these things are the result of Christianity in history.
00:50:47.260 That's the result. 0.68
00:50:48.700 And the downstream effects are the fruit of that tree, the fruit of people thinking as you have to think if you're going to like to be a scientist.
00:50:58.500 You have to believe that the world is orderly and knowable, that it's not continually changing.
00:51:03.380 You have to believe that your senses accurately portray that reality to you. 0.80
00:51:07.340 You have to operate on 20 or 30 presuppositions before you have breakfast if you want to do any kind of science, and those are Christian presuppositions. 0.86
00:51:17.660 Well, and this kind of goes to the last point I think that we're talking about today, but what happens if you say you have like a love for just ethnic whiteness apart from Christianity? Well, you get things like Nazi Germany. Really bad. You get old Norse paganism. You get the Germanic pagans that Boniface encountered. That's correct. 0.86
00:51:36.920 or you get a lot of asian cultures yeah exactly where you have uh certain countries certain
00:51:43.980 nationalities that are absolutely despised because of genetic superiority just pure genetic
00:51:50.700 superiority and so and there's history there yeah well yeah i you you can look at things like the 0.50
00:51:57.940 even the chinese with the uyghurs and it's like uh um yeah that's not cool yeah if you go see this
00:52:04.760 is the thing people want to say or they want to pretend even that when they're as they're
00:52:08.880 magnifying the sins of western christendom they'll also want to make those sins peculiar to western
00:52:15.540 christendom things like slavery the transatlantic slave trade and these things the reality is the 0.63
00:52:20.400 entire world was dominated for millennia by slave trading warring warlording including by black 0.63
00:52:28.040 people including by black people including by asian people asian peoples enslaved other asian 0.87
00:52:32.680 peoples native americans enslaved other native americans africans enslaved other africans i mean
00:52:37.060 white people enslaved other white people even you you go through the history of the world and when
00:52:41.980 you're not running it through this sav of anti-christian propagandist revisionist history
00:52:47.200 well then you'll notice that sin actually tends to happen everywhere where people are enslaved to sin
00:52:53.420 and not christians yeah and you you've also got to look at the whole picture too what we've been
00:52:57.680 saying before and you say you look at it and say well it's also white christendom and william
00:53:01.420 will before some people like this who put an end to it for the first time really in world history
00:53:06.880 yeah and set a tone for the rest of the world that was a good thing yeah that's right so yeah
00:53:12.280 don't just you know it really what we're getting into is the sin of partiality yeah right so one
00:53:18.040 of the things that james says uh is that we're we're not supposed to treat the rich preferentially
00:53:22.780 we're also not supposed to treat the poor preferentially so it can it can actually cut
00:53:28.340 both ways. And, you know, affirmative action being one of the ways that we cuts the opposite
00:53:33.200 direction, you're still showing partiality. Yes. Yeah, absolutely. You know, and I think
00:53:38.480 just to add on to the effectiveness of this, of this move by the enemy, the different ways that
00:53:44.260 it looks, because I think we all, most Christians, your average normie conservative Christian that
00:53:50.480 goes to a Bible-believing, gospel-preaching church, they see CNN or some pink-haired
00:53:59.120 chick on Twitter or something like that just absolutely blasting Christianity or some of 0.55
00:54:03.680 the foundations of Christianity. That's easy to shrug off, right? This is much more subtle than
00:54:09.240 that. And one of the most effective tactics in the French Revolution was art, was art and
00:54:16.060 entertainment. And the rise of pornography. Yes. So you have more subtlety in these attacks
00:54:24.160 on the foundations of Christianity. And so things like, Brian, you've talked about this before
00:54:30.180 with Netflix and with your entertainment choices, you're actually being catechized constantly.
00:54:37.280 And so it's much more subtle. The other thing, so you have entertainment, the way different
00:54:43.900 enslavements of your passions, but you also have enemies on the inside. Because one of the cold
00:54:49.860 opens we almost used was about a traitor, about Benedict Arnold. Because another effective tactic
00:54:55.860 that the enemy is using right now are Christian voices, specifically Christian voices that are 0.96
00:55:02.500 attacking the people that are supposed to be in the barracks with them, that are supposed to be
00:55:08.060 seeing his kingdom come and his will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And they're trying to
00:55:12.700 discourage and lead people astray well i think that's what hurts so much dan i think like it's
00:55:18.580 one thing when you have just a marxist professor who's attacking christianity yeah that's obvious 0.94
00:55:24.000 but i'm an atheist i hate god he doesn't exist or whatever the ones that have really sucked are
00:55:28.600 like david french who's is or was a pca elder and it's like you look at what this guy writes 0.67
00:55:34.200 you're like how's this guy not under church discipline right i mean he's lying about
00:55:38.180 christianity and spewing all this stuff which basically it gets to this issue of that you're
00:55:44.500 continually especially as american white christian man you're continually being shamed simply for who
00:55:51.000 you are because of the color of your skin because of your christianity people that are supposed to
00:55:56.060 be identifying with you in your culture are discouraging you and disparaging i think and
00:56:02.180 that's why the reverse too though of why if there's just a few of them but if you have voices
00:56:07.040 like Jordan Peterson or if you have voices like Doug Wilson, so many people have rallied to them
00:56:11.780 because they're like, this guy's actually, he's actually running cover for us. Yeah. Like they're
00:56:16.380 defending us and saying, no, there's nothing to be ashamed of here. Yeah. Yeah. And it, like you've
00:56:20.940 said in conversations before, Eric, when people complain about the popularity of Jordan Peterson,
00:56:25.720 you're like, yeah, why did he have to be the one that was saying these things? It shouldn't have
00:56:30.220 been an atheistic psychologist. Yeah. It shouldn't have been a union. It should have been Christian.
00:56:33.940 this message should have so saturated pulpits that jordan peterson would have said it and people 0.91
00:56:39.380 would have been like duh like okay canadian guy like okay you've got the basics good job yeah
00:56:43.360 good job like you yeah you've you've graduated first grade of anthropology and i think what
00:56:49.300 we've seen is prominent voices within conservatism where there was a real betrayal um yet you know
00:56:55.500 guys like mark dever al moeller that forever it was like these are the bastions of christian
00:57:00.800 conservatism. Al Mohr has a conservative radio show. And yet he's like, either won't say anything
00:57:06.640 or goes soft on wokeness. You have Mark Dever echoing very similar sentiments where it's like,
00:57:12.560 well, you know, if you're a black in America, you can't go anywhere without having to lock your door
00:57:16.180 and being looked over three times by the police. And I'm like, well, the reality is, Brian, I think 0.65
00:57:21.220 you had a story of a white lady. Yeah, there was a story I was trying to look at, like, again,
00:57:27.160 those things are not allowed to notice. And there was a story of, this is a story that a woman
00:57:33.380 shared on Quora, which is like people can ask questions if you're not familiar with it and you
00:57:37.460 can answer. And this woman had, she lived in New Orleans about just over 10 years ago. She was,
00:57:44.180 you know, had been there for years. It was her place. She knew it. Totally comfortable. Yeah.
00:57:47.800 White lady. And she was just out on the sidewalk somewhere in her, in New Orleans. And she was 0.79
00:57:54.120 calling a taxi and it was a friday's was taking a while to get there she's kind of sitting there
00:57:57.980 shuffling her feet on the phone they're not answering because it's busy and she hears a car
00:58:03.120 pull up behind her and the people are laughing in the car and she kind of glances over it's three
00:58:07.260 three black men and she's like yeah it's new orleans whatever she's totally comfortable 0.97
00:58:11.220 again not like locking her door not like oh no they're not the non-whites like that's how she's 0.96
00:58:17.120 doing and uh so she turns back and then the next thing she knows is she hears this just 0.99
00:58:22.540 thwump and and just feels this blow to her head falls to the ground turns around sees that there's
00:58:30.600 one of these men has a pipe and they just start just brutally beating her and they're you know
00:58:37.500 they're brutally beating her she's bleeding everywhere and they're making racial remarks 0.61
00:58:41.220 about her being white and oh look at like look at this white girl leaking like bleeding and um 0.99
00:58:47.440 And someone nearby, like, opened up a shop window and said, hey, get out. 1.00
00:58:51.720 Like, cops are on their way. 1.00
00:58:53.320 Leave her alone.
00:58:54.800 They get back in the car.
00:58:55.760 They drive away.
00:58:57.220 And the police get there.
00:58:58.900 And they told her, like, and she's out of it.
00:59:01.480 She had ended up with traumatic brain injury, like, could have died.
00:59:04.920 And the police told her, yeah, this is the third time this week that we've had this kind of thing happen.
00:59:11.860 this targeted crime against someone for just being a white person by probably the same same men so
00:59:18.980 she's she's there they're like waiting for the medical people to get there and the car drives by
00:59:23.820 with the men in it who just committed this crime and the the onlookers who witnessed it were like
00:59:30.480 that's them officers that's them and uh they they just they don't do anything and she's like what
00:59:36.640 what's going on or they're like what are you doing like oh by the time we get to the vehicle
00:59:40.060 to our car, our patrol car, they're going to be long gone. And like hardly investigated it,
00:59:46.180 just didn't pursue it. And so here you have an example of a 100% racially motivated crime
00:59:54.820 that doesn't fit the narrative. And there's so much fear, I think, even in certain corners of
01:00:01.260 policing. Now there's fear. We've talked to officers who have been in our church even, and
01:00:06.380 fear of being the next headline for just trying to keep you know be a peace officer and
01:00:14.760 we have our own i mean there are there are issues of justice in u.s policing and there are there are
01:00:21.160 like areas where if we were a truly christian society and we were measuring our laws against
01:00:28.120 a biblical standard that we our laws would be different we'd be asking police to enforce fewer
01:00:33.260 things there'd be a lot it'd be a different so so we're not like saying that we're not like going
01:00:37.700 full thin blue line here and like you know that kind of thing at all but when they've actually
01:00:42.680 done research on this so we were talking about it before the show washington post you can look
01:00:46.860 these up uh we may even include them in the show notes washington post manhattan institute there's
01:00:51.660 a lot of research out there that actually the opposite proves true that police officers are
01:00:56.360 actually more reticent more hesitant to shoot a black person than they are a white person because
01:01:02.020 of everything that you've said yeah and i think the overall point without going into too many
01:01:05.960 details on some of these things is that a lot of the narratives simply don't hold up to the facts
01:01:10.740 right so we're being told that you know blacks are being targeted all across the country blah blah
01:01:15.600 you know and and there are lots of rates of incarceration they also commit a higher percentage
01:01:21.280 of crimes etc and there are all sorts of sociological and historical reasons why those
01:01:25.320 things are true tons of reasons even albion seed of that book i think there's some really
01:01:29.820 interesting cultural analysis that happens in that book as he's tracing like some of the roots of
01:01:36.860 this culture and some of it actually came from according to his thesis some of the dysfunction
01:01:43.440 in like inner city black communities today actually is almost exactly analogous to
01:01:49.780 highly dysfunctional white cultures in the scottish border country wasn't this the same 0.81
01:01:56.280 and Thomas Sowell's 0.90
01:01:57.240 White Rednecks and
01:01:59.460 what is it? Black Rednecks and White. 1.00
01:02:01.760 White Liberals. Yeah, that book.
01:02:03.960 He talks about this too. Yeah, he does.
01:02:05.520 Where some of the, so we assume
01:02:07.820 certain things about like where this
01:02:09.400 comes from and actually a lot of it
01:02:11.500 literally came from white, certain
01:02:13.540 types of white culture. We even see that in Hillbilly Elegy
01:02:15.780 where he talks about, he says
01:02:17.700 I noticed that like the black culture
01:02:19.800 black ghetto culture and white
01:02:21.660 ghetto culture in Appalachia were like
01:02:23.380 identical. Yeah, they were the same. So 0.56
01:02:25.380 so there's something there wasn't racial it's not whiteness or blackness there's something that's
01:02:29.620 historically and culturally happened and and what we're saying again to like be relentlessly obvious
01:02:36.300 is that what we're telling you listener is that what makes a dysfunctional culture is not
01:02:43.600 christianity and what makes a functional culture is christianity and so when you when you trace
01:02:49.360 these things when you find a dysfunctional culture whether it's a white culture black culture some
01:02:53.380 other color. What you're going to find is that somewhere baked into that culture, there is 0.87
01:02:58.580 disobedience to God's law on a systemic level. That is absolute truth. Absolute truth. That's
01:03:04.160 what you're going to find. Whether in sins committed or sins committed against, you're going
01:03:08.740 to find... I mean, it's so obvious. This is like crayon level theology. It's so obvious.
01:03:15.060 But what happens in this asymmetrical warfare against Christianity through the proxy of 0.58
01:03:19.760 whiteness is that really obvious things become highly controversial and become the battleground
01:03:25.060 of epic proportions because you're not allowed to say obvious things anymore that don't fit
01:03:30.400 the narrative. I mean, that's like one of the best tools that Satan has, right?
01:03:34.940 Yeah. When he's talking to Eve, you know, so did God really say, and then twist words,
01:03:40.620 nuances things. And I think it really is a good point that if we want to be effective in our
01:03:45.520 ministries i've seen this on twitter is a lot of times it's saying the obvious things that you're
01:03:50.060 not allowed to say the taboo but you need to hammer those anyway right so you know maybe sexual
01:03:56.680 it may be on this issue of racial cultural yeah you know religious distinctions but i think the
01:04:03.220 worst thing we can do is give in yeah or play the pc game with them fearfully keep silent because i
01:04:08.920 think a lot of christian pastors have been like i i've heard this a lot actually is like a lot of
01:04:12.660 these guys you're attacking like in the closet they're conservative they're just trying to
01:04:15.780 appease their liberal congregations well well i don't care we've all read the story before where
01:04:20.420 you have the good king who has good intentions and he has the general or the advisor that is a
01:04:25.580 snake he's actually a snake yeah he appears like he's on your side and everybody would speak well
01:04:31.220 of him but behind closed doors he's whispering into the king's ear and you hate him more than
01:04:36.300 you do the enemy this is why benedict arnold is such a good benedict arnold fought for the
01:04:42.540 Continental Army with distinction. Yeah. He became a brigadier general in the army by George
01:04:47.560 Washington, recognized, fully trusted. Benedict Arnold then schemes to surrender an entire army
01:04:56.060 to the British forces. He ultimately gets found out. It's a great story. And then he goes and
01:04:59.780 becomes an officer in the British Army and goes and fights for the other team. And it's like,
01:05:05.360 there was a period of time, though, where he knew, he fully knew in his own heart which team he
01:05:10.560 played for and he pretended to play that's what's so gross about this stuff is that like andrew
01:05:17.260 isker said in last episode he talked about the the guys who just do it's okay for them to keep
01:05:22.880 their head down and plunder the egyptians and work for you know they're a walmart exec or whatever and
01:05:28.600 they they laugh in their head at the the trainings they're made to undergo and all these things and
01:05:33.260 but they they plunder the egyptians they do their they work heartily as for the lord just like
01:05:37.140 the christians who worked in caesar's household that kind of situation cornelius but what you
01:05:42.540 absolutely cannot have are leaders who are charged with the public teaching of truth
01:05:47.360 and the keeping of doctrine who are remaining silent on these things because it's when leaders
01:05:53.080 give give bold when they lead the charge with boldness against the places the enemies are
01:05:58.500 attacking that's what actually then provides cover and safety for the people behind them
01:06:03.380 Maybe they'll say things like, obedience to God can be shrouded as, oh man, what did Keller say?
01:06:10.340 What is it?
01:06:11.300 That obedience to God can be shrouded as, shoot, I can't remember now.
01:06:15.240 It's like a cover for disobedience.
01:06:16.820 Yeah, it's a cover for disobedience.
01:06:18.320 Yeah, like scrupulous law keeping can be the most unrighteous thing.
01:06:21.480 And you're like, Tim Keller, did you read that before you?
01:06:28.720 You know, there's no edit button, right?
01:06:31.020 Like, there's no edit button.
01:06:31.900 You've got to do it before you post.
01:06:33.580 Well, clearly it's been a minute since I've read it, too, so I probably absolutely butchered it.
01:06:37.780 So, gentlemen, gentlemen, let's bring it to our last sort of leg of this discussion.
01:06:43.840 And I think I want to add one other little point here because I think it would be helpful.
01:06:48.340 So, what are we not saying?
01:06:49.820 And then also I would say, what are we telling people to do?
01:06:53.540 Like, okay, this is the fact. 0.65
01:06:55.420 This is the case, that there's this asymmetric war, proxy war being waged against Christianity through whiteness, 0.62
01:07:01.080 as a war on whiteness. So what should we do? What are we not saying? And what should we do? 0.58
01:07:05.220 Your thoughts? I'm actually going to start with the first one, what you should do. And I think
01:07:10.080 part of it is you should educate yourself and you should think deeply on these things. So there's a
01:07:15.980 couple of things that I would recommend if you're on Twitter and you're one of those people. Oh man,
01:07:20.420 it's evading my mind. Conceptual James. James Lindsay? Yeah, James Lindsay. There's a lot of
01:07:26.700 people that you can follow that are unpacking the problems of wokeness. Yeah. Vody Bauckham has done
01:07:31.060 this. Some other people as well. I think I would start reading there. It would be a really good
01:07:35.380 place. Some of the other stuff that I would recommend would be like Eddie Schleibisch has
01:07:41.100 a book, Assailing the Gates of Hell. That's a really short, quick read published by our good
01:07:46.340 friend Zach Garris. That's really helpful on this issue. John Harris has some books that are written
01:07:51.980 on this, Social Justice. He unpacks the French Revolution. Another short book, also Zach
01:07:56.720 Garris' book, Love What They're Doing. And then I would encourage people to read things
01:08:00.320 like Pat Buchanan, Death of the West, so that you can really understand this immigration 0.96
01:08:05.040 question is not new, and there's an intentional effort to destroy white Christian culture
01:08:13.060 by flooding America with immigrants from other cultures that are destructive to Christianity. 0.93
01:08:19.420 And so that's something I think we should be concerned about. 1.00
01:08:22.380 Again, educate yourself, read up on it,
01:08:24.980 and you'll understand why this is a Marxist play to have open borders.
01:08:28.840 And again, we have a lot of people in Reformed Christendom.
01:08:31.640 Peter Lightheart was one who was like, open borders are gospel borders.
01:08:35.520 You're wrong.
01:08:36.420 I think that's a horrible thing, and I think that we need to be educated about it.
01:08:40.880 So I would start there, start reading and engaging these issues.
01:08:44.340 And here's the thing.
01:08:45.680 You're going to have to go outside the mainstream.
01:08:47.020 yeah because if like if you google like right like i tried to do yeah you start googling stuff
01:08:52.540 it's like well google is obviously filtering i googled um just like what are some examples of
01:08:57.600 anti-white rhetoric or anti-white legal legally sanctioned activity and the first like i'm i kid
01:09:05.740 you not like 10 pages of results were all like every article had the same title it was like
01:09:09.600 the myth of reverse racism which is a number one there is just racism there's no reverse racism
01:09:17.740 it's just racism but so i had to go on one of those like free thinker search engines which
01:09:23.380 you you're all listening you're probably like yeah you know me why are you still using google
01:09:26.860 because i'm browser yeah like what i don't know these i'm i'm i don't know yeah but then i then
01:09:33.260 all the results were like story after you know they were what i was actually looking for but
01:09:37.820 yeah anyway good story good story yeah so what should men do what should people do in light of
01:09:45.040 this information should i just carry on that yeah yeah so we talked about uh well they should buy
01:09:49.900 pit vipers i mean let's be real so one of the things that we talked about was breaking the
01:09:55.200 fifth commandment which is to honor your father and mother and the thing that they want you to
01:10:00.300 feel shame for with your privilege with your heritage with the benefits of christianity
01:10:06.500 with having a father with, I mean, having fathers is to feel shame at that. And what you should do
01:10:13.240 instead is honor that, honor the heck out of it. Your fathers carried on the tradition of the faith,
01:10:19.560 even not directly. Like maybe your dad wasn't a Christian. Maybe your grandpa wasn't a Christian,
01:10:24.820 but somewhere along the line, you have been the beneficiary of your forefathers who fought for
01:10:31.680 the faith, who defended doctrine, who stood on the shoulders of their fathers. So stand on their
01:10:37.500 shoulders with pride and they will tell you to knock you down a notch like a proud nail on a
01:10:43.460 deck. They will try to hammer you down into place using shame because you do actually have privilege
01:10:48.980 because you are an adopted son and daughter or daughter of the King of Kings and a co-heir with
01:10:57.260 christ and they will hate you for it this isn't a surprise this is again should be in the basics
01:11:03.700 category of christianity jesus said if they hated me how much are they going to hate you
01:11:08.100 they're going to hate you they're going to hate you they're going to hate you and so honor the
01:11:12.840 heck out of your father and mother stand on their shoulders carry on the privilege one of the things
01:11:19.780 again when you look at stories some of the best heroes are like i'm going to take this land for
01:11:26.300 my descendants. I want my son to possess this land. I want to improve this farmland for my son.
01:11:33.720 I want to leave them in inheritance. I want to secure this land for them. Those are the types
01:11:40.620 of things that we look at stories in our hearts burn in our chests. And the people around you
01:11:47.000 are going to say that you should be ashamed of that. You should have, how dare you?
01:11:52.840 Don't you know what your forefathers did?
01:11:55.280 Don't you know the stuff that that culture, the sins that they wallowed in?
01:11:59.760 Exactly.
01:12:00.360 And you should look at that and say, yes, and I repent of that.
01:12:04.620 Yeah, I don't walk in those sins.
01:12:05.580 I do not walk in those sins.
01:12:07.120 And thank God that they were the men that they were, or else I wouldn't be here today.
01:12:11.140 And stand on their shoulders.
01:12:13.400 Take it.
01:12:13.820 And I would say, along those same lines, one practical way that we do this,
01:12:19.140 because when we talk about our forefathers,
01:12:22.160 again, some of us had terrible families. 0.75
01:12:23.720 Some of you were like, you know, you're not white. 0.79
01:12:26.600 Some of your listeners, some of our listeners,
01:12:29.400 we're talking about the glories of Christian culture.
01:12:31.360 So what you should do is not let them scare you off
01:12:34.460 of the riches of Christendom with this, 0.99
01:12:39.120 oh, stop reading old dead white people.
01:12:41.560 Yeah, they were Germans and Italians. 0.99
01:12:42.860 Read all the old dead white people.
01:12:44.780 Read the greatest works of Christendom. 0.96
01:12:47.740 read the greatest works of the Reformation. Those are your inheritance. Those are the works
01:12:52.800 of your forefathers that they've stored up these treasures of wisdom and knowledge,
01:12:57.220 meditating on the scriptures and on the world and seeing things and penetrating mysteries.
01:13:02.600 And they've left these things for you. And the world would love nothing more than to keep you
01:13:07.420 from your inheritance by making you despise the men who wrote them. So love them even more.
01:13:14.060 Love the classical tradition. Love the classical tradition of this Christian world that grew out of the Hellenized world, that grew out of the Greek and Roman soil, essentially, in God's wisdom, who planted it there in the first century in the soil of Rome and in Greek civilization.
01:13:32.700 that was on purpose, where there was Latin spoken and there was Greek spoken. And so we should also
01:13:38.520 be taking hold of these great works of the classical and Christian tradition and loving
01:13:44.660 them, insisting on loving them even more. So yeah, start classical Christian schools. Read the works
01:13:50.320 of classical Christian literature. Read the works of theology from the fathers and from the
01:13:54.860 Protestant reformers. And don't let them drive you off of your inheritance and try to peddle to you
01:14:01.480 some kind of woke gnostic crt peddling lady pastor today or a regime pastor who's been purchased
01:14:11.940 who's bought and paid for by the opposition some benedict cumbersnud or whatever benedict arnold
01:14:18.480 uh cumbersnatch i'm sorry i'm gonna try not to make benedict cumberbatch jokes now like i was 0.88
01:14:24.900 all morning as we were trying to write the cold open obnoxious but you know uh bender snoot 0.97
01:14:29.880 cumbersnud read that read the great works like a lot of christians today are ignorant of their 0.83
01:14:37.540 inheritance and i would say if you want to get into it too one of the ways i got into it read
01:14:40.980 anthony esalen yeah on western civilization out of the ashes he helps cultivate a love and an
01:14:46.960 awareness of these works and why they matter for us esalen's um politically incorrect yeah that's
01:14:52.860 gold so he has so many good ones in fact if if anybody knows uh mr esalen we we need
01:14:59.860 to get him on the show so um eric knows him i know i'm actually talking to eric right now
01:15:05.140 because i've lined up several interviews recently that's the only half way and i and i tweeted at
01:15:11.600 anthony esalen but well is he a friend on facebook because that's different than a follower on
01:15:15.960 twitter anyway continue yeah friend anyway yeah we're not he only follows like six people um
01:15:21.500 i check every day just to see if he's followed me back because uh i am a fan boy uh anyway
01:15:28.260 yes and and so what are we not saying here like again because the king's hall podcast is a place
01:15:36.240 of winsome nuance um no but because some of this time this right you know people will weaponize
01:15:42.340 uh this kind of conversation again proving our point they'll try to weaponize it against us so
01:15:47.920 we're not saying that there is no such thing as the sin of ethnic partiality
01:15:54.620 and especially that there is no such thing as a white person who commits the sin of ethnic
01:16:00.300 partiality i thought you were just going to end right there there is no such thing as a white
01:16:04.320 person no it's like seriously you know i've you get good even good platforms like gab is a great
01:16:10.140 platform because it actually does privilege christian speech and promotes um free actually
01:16:17.300 free speech if i think the rule is if it's not illegal they don't delete it so it doesn't violate
01:16:22.140 the law illegal or porn or porn which amen i'm glad that torba does a king does that because
01:16:28.480 um that is the correct policy right so but there are guys on there who are genuinely like in some
01:16:34.500 of the comments on articles i've gotten these atheist um like skinhead types literally i've
01:16:41.480 had atheist skinheads like there who are just absolutely spewing some vileness on my gab feed 0.99
01:16:48.820 and whatever and i'm i block him or whatever and i look at that and i go what a stupid sin 0.99
01:16:53.300 when i think you know the the people in the middle to left will look at people like us 0.95
01:16:59.540 they know that we don't believe it but they want to lie and smear you so like i've seen these terms
01:17:04.660 like christophascist oh yeah um yeah i'm a christophascist that's what they'll accuse me of
01:17:10.520 or even i think christian nationalism is it's a funnier one because it's intended as an insult 0.54
01:17:16.420 and then you think about it, it's like, well, wouldn't you want a Christian nation?
01:17:21.360 That's like calling me really handsome.
01:17:23.640 Yeah.
01:17:24.340 Like, thank you.
01:17:24.940 Why would that be such a bad thing?
01:17:27.520 You know.
01:17:28.160 Good luck Dan just gave me. 0.80
01:17:29.480 So, you know, the other thing that you always hear is, you know, we're trying to raise the Klan. 0.70
01:17:33.960 Oh, right.
01:17:34.680 We're not.
01:17:35.640 We're Nazis.
01:17:36.880 No. 1.00
01:17:37.260 Yeah, we're against interracial marriage.
01:17:39.040 We're not.
01:17:39.640 We're not.
01:17:40.240 No. 1.00
01:17:41.200 We're not Kinnists. 0.99
01:17:42.260 No, we're not.
01:17:43.120 We're not formal Kinnists.
01:17:44.300 You're just all these different kind of like ways that you can all the straw man. In fact, like we've even we've even in our own church. We've corrected men who have promoted ideas that were contra biblical. Like when we when we talk about, again, the thing we're locating as the key point is Christianity in producing the culture, Christianity that's lived in a robustly all of Christ for all of life sort of way.
01:18:07.760 That's what we're saying. And as a historical fact and a feature of the story God wrote, that took root again in this classical world and grew in its greatest zenith of influence in Western civilization and produced Western civilization.
01:18:22.240 Yeah. And so we rejoice when the gospel goes out into every tribe, nation and tongue and people repent.
01:18:28.880 I want to see the most glorious Ghanaian and Rwandan and Mexican Christian culture.
01:18:37.620 I want to see that.
01:18:38.600 I want to see homeboy Noah Alvarenga not have to make white boy summer memes anymore
01:18:43.200 because he's redeemed Mexico for Christ, and he can now make Mexican boy summer memes.
01:18:49.320 That's my goal, Noah.
01:18:51.520 That's what I'm trying to see happen, man. 0.77
01:18:53.540 But he's married to a white girl, so you've got to cut him some slack. 0.63
01:18:56.980 He's one of the funnier people.
01:18:58.160 but and i think the other thing about that is it's it's fine to prefer your culture
01:19:02.000 yeah i delight in the fact that my sons look like me that's beautiful i mean it's cool to
01:19:07.860 see your image and your kids nothing wrong with a lot of those natural things it's perfectly okay
01:19:12.300 to say uh as a single man like i'm attracted to this woman and part of what attracts me to her
01:19:19.120 is that she she looks like my family she's from my culture and i don't mean that in like a she's 0.94
01:19:23.500 my liberal cousin type of way but you know that sets a different kind of white culture we got
01:19:28.440 west virginia yeah we got west virginia man i love west virginia you people are great despite
01:19:32.580 what eric just said i just want you to know that you're the best west virginia actually is legit
01:19:36.860 isn't isn't uh isn't our boy thomas down there now yeah yeah yeah just man what uh and he got
01:19:45.360 like i want to say they gave him like a couple thousand acres for like 15 dollars and and like
01:19:50.680 Like it came with a plug of tobacco.
01:19:52.220 That might be.
01:19:53.220 I think the tobacco part was right.
01:19:54.900 They gave him a gun, a plug of tobacco, a fifth of Jack, and like a thousand acres for like $15.93.
01:20:00.180 It was actually just a still.
01:20:01.600 They said, don't even worry about it.
01:20:02.880 Just make your own.
01:20:03.520 Yeah, just wait.
01:20:04.560 Yeah, make your own and wait.
01:20:06.780 No, but you're right.
01:20:07.680 It is whatever we are talking about.
01:20:10.040 You're right.
01:20:11.560 Yeah, love your culture.
01:20:12.820 Love your people.
01:20:13.460 Love your place.
01:20:13.960 Yeah, and it's okay to- 0.98
01:20:15.140 If you're, you know, my wife's Italian.
01:20:17.260 Love your Italian culture.
01:20:19.000 That's beautiful.
01:20:19.880 Wonderful.
01:20:20.420 That's right.
01:20:21.680 Eat that pasta.
01:20:23.160 Eat that gnocchi.
01:20:24.960 Eat that gnocchi.
01:20:25.740 I'm just kidding.
01:20:26.680 Oh.
01:20:27.740 They're like, it's a lasagna.
01:20:30.020 I'm sorry.
01:20:30.740 Wow, you just further offend everybody.
01:20:32.100 I know.
01:20:32.500 I've offended so many cultures today.
01:20:34.600 Equal opportunity.
01:20:35.700 Equal opportunity.
01:20:36.300 Yeah, and we'd love to see.
01:20:38.180 I would say this finally.
01:20:39.140 I'm sorry to interrupt you.
01:20:39.520 Yeah, go ahead.
01:20:39.980 No.
01:20:40.260 But I would say, please end it. 0.80
01:20:41.440 We need to develop thick skin.
01:20:43.700 That's right. 0.76
01:20:44.300 Laugh at the jokes.
01:20:45.140 Yes.
01:20:45.480 Yes.
01:20:45.980 It's okay.
01:20:46.520 That's right.
01:20:46.980 Laugh at the jokes.
01:20:48.680 Oh, I do want to say that.
01:20:49.900 I think we've mentioned this.
01:20:51.080 One of the things we're not saying, too, again, is, like, if you were talking about Christless whiteness, 0.74
01:20:56.700 Christless white cultures, there are plenty of evil cultures that happen to be white, that were pre-Christian. 0.81
01:21:01.960 Yeah, we did mention that. 1.00
01:21:03.100 The Germanic pagans. 0.79
01:21:04.420 Stalin. 0.98
01:21:04.940 They needed Boniface to come in. 1.00
01:21:06.820 Yeah, Stalin and some of the godless communists, Russian. 0.89
01:21:09.800 Like, all of the obvious things that we might be smeared as saying, we're literally not saying. 0.77
01:21:16.380 We're saying the most boringly.
01:21:17.500 The fact that this episode needed to be made is actually kind of ridiculous.
01:21:21.780 We should have, it'd be the equivalent of like cows go moo.
01:21:25.480 Yeah.
01:21:25.660 We're going to do an episode next week on cows.
01:21:27.400 We live in the culture.
01:21:28.680 Yeah. 1.00
01:21:29.080 The godless white culture. 0.99
01:21:30.560 Yeah. 1.00
01:21:30.820 We live in it right now.
01:21:31.860 Yeah.
01:21:32.140 That's right.
01:21:32.840 On the blood of almost 70 million babies.
01:21:35.980 Yep.
01:21:36.560 So I think we've got an example right here.
01:21:39.320 So thanks for listening in guys on this episode here.
