The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1487 - This Is What Happens When Identity Politics Takes Control

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Walsh Show, Parliament in New Zealand descended into tribal Stone Age grunting

00:00:04.320 on behalf of so-called indigenous rights. This is a preview of what our country could look like 1.00

00:00:08.600 if we keep apologizing for our history. Also, RFK Jr. has been tapped to lead HHS. I'll explain why

00:00:14.100 this is a brilliant pick. Mike Tyson fights Jake Paul tonight in a bout that will prove again that

00:00:18.360 age is a real thing, as much as we might like to pretend otherwise. And AOC left the country in

00:00:22.620 shock by removing the pronouns from her Twitter bio. What's that all about? We'll talk about all

00:00:27.260 of that and more today on the Matt Walsh Show. Well, listen up. This is the final weekend for

00:01:55.600 Well, it's no secret that as Americans, we mostly focus on domestic politics in our own country.

00:02:01.080 Unlike, say, Canadians, we don't obsess over the daily comings and goings of other nations.

00:02:06.220 It's virtually impossible to find a single American who can name a Canadian Supreme Court

00:02:09.700 justice or a member of parliament, for example. I know I certainly can't. By contrast, Canadians can

00:02:15.320 tell you all about Clarence Thomas and Matt Gaetz and so on. This is a well-established phenomenon,

00:02:20.420 and it makes sense because the United States is just, well, a lot more important than any other

00:02:25.320 country in the world. But even with that in mind, every once in a while, something happens in the

00:02:29.980 parliament of a foreign country that, you know, it's hard for us to ignore here in America.

00:02:34.960 Maybe a lawmaker in Taiwan steals a bill and runs away with it in order to prevent it from becoming,

00:02:40.540 being passed into law. That's something that's actually happened and was hilarious.

00:02:44.440 Or maybe a member of parliament in India pepper sprays his colleagues when they don't vote the

00:02:49.120 right way. Or maybe Italy's parliament descends into a bench-clearing brawl, which requires one

00:02:54.160 politician to leave the chamber in a wheelchair. These are all well-documented incidents that may

00:02:59.500 not always have a lot of direct relevance to us, but more often than not, at the very least,

00:03:04.300 they're entertaining to watch. It's a whole genre on YouTube, actually, and it's a lot of fun.

00:03:08.820 The viral moment that just took place in the parliament of New Zealand, on the other hand,

00:03:13.020 does have some relevance for Americans. It's one of the more important political stories of the year,

00:03:18.740 in fact, even though it's taking place thousands of miles away from our borders. And in case you

00:03:22.740 missed it, several politicians in New Zealand just broke out into a primal Stone Age war dance

00:03:29.260 called the Haka to protest a piece of legislation that's working its way through parliament.

00:03:35.200 They won't stop doing the chant, and eventually, because of that, parliament has to be shut down

00:03:39.780 entirely. Watch.

00:03:41.800 No, no, don't pretend.

00:03:44.080 We say that's all about the films.

00:03:45.460 No, no, no, but it'll stop in the tough day.

00:03:59.400 We say it's the average person in New Zealand.

00:04:06.000 We say it's the average person in New Zealand.

00:04:08.000 We'll be right back.

00:04:38.000 The house is suspended until the ringing of the bells.

00:04:46.980 The gallery is to be cleared.

00:04:50.260 Now, you know, this haka dance, it's very dangerous. 0.99

00:04:56.680 And you can tell the people doing it, they think it's real spooky and really scary.

00:05:02.040 It's real intimidating.

00:05:03.760 And they're right, it is dangerous because it may cause everybody in the vicinity to die of secondhand embarrassment.

00:05:10.580 You know, it's hard to watch this video and not have the same reaction that the Speaker of Parliament has.

00:05:16.220 It's painful to sit through.

00:05:18.560 Thankfully, a few people have dubbed the audio in various ways.

00:05:21.960 There's one remix that turns it into a jazzy little piano number from 1925.

00:05:27.020 It actually works surprisingly well.

00:05:28.580 And because it's a Friday, we might as well play it.

00:05:30.380 Plus, it shows you another angle so that, you know, we can justify playing it that way, I guess, also.

00:05:35.980 Watch.

00:05:36.340 You know, it's a lot less cringe when you dub in some real music instead of the prehistoric grunting.

00:05:59.860 Now, it's a little hard to see in all the pandemonium, but they're getting in the face of a politician named David Seymour,

00:06:06.040 who introduced a bill that they don't like.

00:06:08.940 The people doing the screeching identify as Maori, meaning they see themselves as the allegedly indigenous people of New Zealand.

00:06:17.240 And they're chanting like barbarians and making gun gestures at David Seymour while saying something that apparently translates to evil. 0.90

00:06:24.900 And before I get into the specifics about this vote, what it was about, it needs to be reiterated that this whole haka thing is just silly and embarrassing. 1.00

00:06:34.980 Maybe you're not supposed to say that, but it's obviously true.

00:06:38.580 And everybody who sees it knows that, feels the same way.

00:06:42.900 You know, and you see these videos that we're supposed to pretend like we think it's powerful and cool because it's part of a non-white culture. 1.00

00:06:50.200 And so therefore, it has to be good. We're not allowed to have any negative opinions about anything that a non-white culture does. 1.00

00:06:56.540 But we all know that it's just lame and stupid as hell. 1.00

00:07:00.480 And, you know, we can say that. Like that, just knock it off. This is ridiculous. 1.00

00:07:06.500 You're making fools of yourself. 1.00

00:07:08.880 These people are really embarrassing themselves. 0.99

00:07:10.540 In every context that this haka is performed, it's cringeworthy to an immeasurable, painful degree.

00:07:18.260 So here, for example, was the haka that New Zealand's basketball team performed at a tournament in 2014 just before getting blown out by double digits by Team USA.

00:07:28.940 Just look at the reactions during this.

00:07:30.900 The haka that New Zealand's basketball team performed at a tournament in 2014 just before getting blown out by double digits.

00:08:00.900 Yes, there's nothing like a fearsome war chant before a basketball game where everybody looks at you like you're crazy.

00:08:24.660 And then you get completely destroyed.

00:08:26.160 They got blown out, which is why this just doesn't work.

00:08:30.520 You can't do a fearsome war dance on behalf of a conquered people and then get conquered some more.

00:08:35.860 It's just kind of sad at this point.

00:08:38.100 You know, the Maori have been doing this dance for centuries and they just get beaten every time in every context, 1.00

00:08:43.980 in every type of battle they've ever been in, at least for the last 700 years.

00:08:48.220 So, you know, it's like probably time to put the, it's like spiking the football when you're on a football team that hasn't won a game since the year 1300.

00:09:01.320 It's just like, all right, it's probably not a lot to be showboating about right now.

00:09:08.440 In any event, back to the viral clip that people are talking about.

00:09:11.480 The so-called indigenous people had a meltdown in parliament over a bill.

00:09:16.820 And what you may not have seen is what preceded that moment.

00:09:20.060 David Seymour laid out some rational and calm arguments in favor of his legislation.

00:09:25.040 And then the so-called Maori politicians launched into a volley of personal attacks.

00:09:31.060 Watch.

00:09:31.160 Pressure had been building all afternoon, as the government's treaty principles bill came before the House.

00:09:38.540 The bill does not extinguish any right, it does not take from anyone, it reinforces the rights of the treaty as universal.

00:09:45.100 David Seymour says the current approach to treaty principles isn't working.

00:09:49.000 What all of these principles have in common is that they afford Maori different rights from other New Zealanders. 0.88

00:09:56.300 But the rebuttal came fast and furious.

00:09:59.020 Shame. Shame.

00:10:01.160 Shame on you, David Seymour.

00:10:03.400 Ngati, they're here. 1.00

00:10:05.000 Will be ashamed that one of their sons has come up with a political stunt that looks to divide the nation.

00:10:12.080 How dare you, David Seymour. 1.00

00:10:14.080 You should be ashamed of yourself and you are a liar. 1.00

00:10:18.100 Apologise for that last statement. 0.99

00:10:19.760 No, I can't do that.

00:10:21.140 Going to have to ask the member to withdraw himself from the House for the rest of the afternoon.

00:10:26.360 Willie Jackson sin-burned, but unapologetic.

00:10:31.160 Now, already, this is how you know these people have no argument.

00:10:34.400 They're only capable of shouting shame and resorting to personal attacks to the point that they repeatedly get thrown out of parliament.

00:10:40.020 Meanwhile, David Seymour sitting there calmly saying he wants equality.

00:10:44.060 Now, admittedly, I'm not an expert on the finer details of New Zealand politics.

00:10:47.140 So I went looking through some New Zealand outlets to try to get as complete a picture as I could about, you know, what's going on here, what the controversy is.

00:10:54.460 Turns out the concept of equal protection under the law is actually extremely controversial in New Zealand.

00:11:00.320 So here's the background.

00:11:02.640 Hundreds of years ago, around the late 13th century, Polynesian settlers arrived by canoe in New Zealand.

00:11:10.900 And they became the Maori people.

00:11:13.540 Depending on who you ask, they were either the first to arrive or they massacred everyone else who was already there when they got there.

00:11:19.820 In any event, before long, the Maori wiped out a different tribe called the Moriori, Moriori, I think is probably how you pronounce that, who were pacifists living in the Chattanoom Islands in the east.

00:11:30.680 And they got enslaved and beheaded and cannibalized by the Maori because apparently that's what, you know, civilized cultures do. 1.00

00:11:38.200 And to be clear, this kind of thing was not out of character for the Maori.

00:11:41.420 The Maori routinely enslaved and brutalized their enemies, just like so-called indigenous cultures all over the world. 0.91

00:11:47.180 I mean, this is what they all did.

00:11:48.940 The moment they acquired muskets from European traders, they fought a series of battles amongst themselves called the Musket Wars, which led to tens of thousands of deaths and even more slavery.

00:11:59.260 These are wars, of course, the Maori now blame the British for.

00:12:02.680 They also bartered with severed heads, which they called toy moco. 0.71

00:12:08.280 They would cut people's heads off and tattoo them and then use them for trading.

00:12:11.520 This is kind of what Maori culture was all about, cutting heads off each other, bartering, cannibalizing. 1.00

00:12:18.800 Big thing, big thing with the Maoris.

00:12:21.400 Eventually, the British came in and provided some stability with something called the Treaty of Waitangi.

00:12:27.420 The idea was that New Zealand would become a British colony, but that the Maori would have their rights protected.

00:12:34.080 They could keep their land and so on to the extent that was possible.

00:12:36.860 And then in 1975, New Zealand recognized this treaty in law for the first time.

00:12:43.440 But there were still a big gray areas to what exactly this treaty required.

00:12:47.800 It established tribunals and led to a lot of rulemaking by judges, but parliament mostly stayed out of it.

00:12:54.440 Now, with this new bill, David Seymour is trying to change that.

00:12:56.760 He's proposing concrete legislation that will clarify that everybody in the country, in New Zealand, whether they are Maori or not, is entitled to the full protection of the law.

00:13:09.460 He also wants to make it clear that New Zealand is self-governing.

00:13:12.760 The Maori are not a nation within a nation.

00:13:16.080 Here's how one New Zealand station describes the proposed clarifications.

00:13:20.140 Let's compare the current main three principles with the bill before parliament.

00:13:26.280 On partnership, the treaty created a relationship between Maori and the Crown, and both parties must act with the utmost good faith.

00:13:34.540 The new principle one states the government has full power to govern, and parliament has the full power to make laws, in the best interests of everyone.

00:13:42.760 Principle three addresses protection.

00:13:45.780 The existing understanding is that the government prioritises the active protection of Maori interests, rights, taonga, and ngatiratanga.

00:13:55.420 The new proposed principle three states everyone is equal before the law, and entitled to equal protection and benefit without discrimination.

00:14:03.820 Everyone is entitled to the equal enjoyment of the same human rights without discrimination.

00:14:08.580 So these are clarifications that if you want to live in a modern civilization, an advanced civilization, instead of a backwards hellhole, seem pretty reasonable.

00:14:20.860 But it does mark a change from what's happening at the moment.

00:14:23.780 Right now, New Zealand explicitly provides reparations to people who identify as Maori.

00:14:28.140 In addition to affirmative action, they just announced a, quote, financial redress of $30 million plus interest to Maori tribes, along with a fund of more than a million dollars to assist with cultural revitalization.

00:14:40.760 New Zealand politicians also regularly give lengthy apologies to the tribes, like this one.

00:14:45.640 Watch.

00:14:45.900 I'm here at Natimaru's official settlement ceremony, where a representative from the crown is going to deliver an official apology.

00:15:03.680 The crown makes the following apology to Natimaru.

00:15:08.260 The crown's many breaches of Titiniti or Waitangi left Natimaru feeling like refugees in their own homeland.

00:15:22.560 Yep, just keep apologizing.

00:15:25.760 500 years of apologies won't be enough.

00:15:27.840 Just keep on forever.

00:15:28.700 It can be a thousand years from now.

00:15:29.840 We need more apologies.

00:15:30.880 Keep on apologizing.

00:15:33.600 This kind of thing has been going on for decades in New Zealand.

00:15:36.400 They fly the Maori flag, they apologize to them incessantly, pay millions of dollars.

00:15:42.380 And in the end, it's not enough.

00:15:43.860 The demands keep coming.

00:15:45.660 As a result, now their news reports are barely comprehensible because they're all speaking a foreign language. 1.00

00:15:50.580 So here, for example, is how that New Zealand television station explains what the Maori are so upset about.

00:15:58.840 One of the major concerns from opponents of the bill is the absence of any mention of tēnuranga tiratanga.

00:16:04.440 That loosely translates to Maori autonomy.

00:16:07.560 The bill proposes to take those principles to a referendum for the public once passed.

00:16:12.860 But it's a bill that looks doomed to never get to that stage.

00:16:18.040 Did you get that?

00:16:19.000 Tēnuranga tēnuranga.

00:16:20.440 Is that how you pronounce it?

00:16:22.480 I think I nailed it.

00:16:23.700 I think I just nailed it.

00:16:25.020 I think that's how you pronounce it.

00:16:25.980 Anyway, yes, one of the main criticisms of the bill is whatever that is.

00:16:31.980 They have to translate it so that people in New Zealand can understand what's even going on.

00:16:35.480 So it turns out that the Maori want the ability to remain autonomous from New Zealand, which in democracy seems pretty questionable.

00:16:41.520 Well, the opposition wants to put that up for a democratic vote.

00:16:45.180 And of course, the Maori are refusing. 1.00

00:16:46.860 They don't care what the people of New Zealand think about what should happen in New Zealand.

00:16:50.480 But the people of New Zealand should care.

00:16:52.000 And we should care as well.

00:16:53.140 Because what's happening over there is a case study that we should pay attention to.

00:16:57.260 And what I mean by that is that New Zealand has bent over backwards, apologizing for the alleged evils of colonization.

00:17:05.320 They've paid out reparations.

00:17:06.980 They've flown the flags.

00:17:08.520 They've done everything.

00:17:10.160 They've centered their whole society around land acknowledgments and so on.

00:17:13.860 And now there are pagan chants breaking out in the middle of parliament.

00:17:18.160 That's what they get for all of this kowtowing and bowing and submitting.

00:17:23.860 This is what they get.

00:17:24.600 The Maori are explicitly campaigning against equal rights.

00:17:31.060 And they're threatening politicians who don't agree with them.

00:17:33.880 This is a sort of enrichment that Western societies can expect when they start apologizing for their own existence.

00:17:40.520 And as Douglas Murray has pointed out, none of this makes any sense given the Maori's history.

00:17:45.280 If we're going to play the game of generational guilt, they should be apologizing to all the people that their ancestors have enslaved.

00:17:53.300 Watch.

00:17:54.600 I'm sorry.

00:17:55.480 I'm sorry.

00:17:56.500 Who were the Maoris historically?

00:17:59.920 Were they men and women of peace who sat around idyllically farming and having an idyllically civilized life?

00:18:10.320 Or were they brutal, brutal people who did terrible things to each other and to people they met?

00:18:19.480 The trade in the trade in the trade in decapitated human heads?

00:18:25.940 Human heads as a tool of bartering to buy goods? 0.52

00:18:29.200 Including muskets by the early 1800s?

00:18:32.520 I'm sorry.

00:18:33.520 I'm sorry.

00:18:34.420 I'm sorry.

00:18:35.420 I'm not willing to have my own culture ransacked and turned through this lens of pure evil and simultaneously be expected to pretend that the Maoris or the indigenous people of Australia were these proto-Gandhi-esque figures.

00:18:54.600 This sort of Mother Teresa with a bit too much beheading. 0.99

00:19:01.060 No.

00:19:02.320 No.

00:19:02.760 This is totally untrue.

00:19:04.100 And it's an obvious, obvious attempt to subjugate people in the West to a false ideology and a false version of our own past.

00:19:13.540 So, as he correctly explains there, the Maori were a violent, brutal people. 1.00

00:19:20.640 They practiced cannibalism, many other forms of horrific brutality.

00:19:25.260 But just because they made it to New Zealand a few hundred years before Europeans, we're supposed to see it as some great tragedy that the Europeans took over. 0.88

00:19:33.500 In fact, we're supposed to blame Europeans for engaging in violent conquest over people who themselves engaged in even more violent conquest.

00:19:39.660 So, keep this absurd, debasing spectacle in mind whenever you hear about reparations in this country or about how oppressed some indigenous groups allegedly are.

00:19:50.840 Even if you give these people what they want for decades, they will always want more.

00:19:54.820 No matter how much you apologize and pay money, it doesn't matter.

00:20:00.060 The moment you suggest withdrawing some of these privileges or even just, like, expanding it so that everybody benefits, they revolt.

00:20:08.020 Descend into primal chants on the floor of parliament.

00:20:13.840 Turn your entire government into an international laughingstock.

00:20:18.080 That's why the only approach to dealing with people like this, the one that New Zealand should have adopted a long time ago,

00:20:24.340 is to deny them any special privileges in the first place.

00:20:29.040 And to deny them the pleasure of hearing you apologize when you've got nothing to apologize for.

00:20:35.780 Or how about this?

00:20:38.000 How about saying to anyone, any indigenous group anywhere in the world, you apologize first. 1.00

00:20:43.460 Okay?

00:20:44.680 You get up and make a big show and fall to your knees apologizing for all the terrible things your ancestors did.

00:20:51.240 You apologize first.

00:20:52.420 You lead by example.

00:20:54.680 When are we going to get an indigenous group anywhere in the world that does that? 1.00

00:20:57.560 You apologize for all the terrible things your ancestors did.

00:21:00.300 You do that first, and then we can talk. 0.99

00:21:04.100 I'm still not going to apologize, but at least you will have shown that you're not a raging hypocrite. 0.93

00:21:12.580 As the saying goes, when you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.

00:21:16.120 At this point, now that Stone Age war chants have broken out in Parliament, probably too late for New Zealand to correct their mistake.

00:21:23.860 And that should be a pretty big clue to everybody in this country that unless we also want to return to the Stone Age, we should take a very different approach.

00:21:30.740 We should affirm the greatness of Western civilization and make no apology for it.

00:21:36.740 We should take pride in our heritage, in our culture, in our history.

00:21:40.100 We should reject the false narratives, the cartoonish, simplistic narratives about our history that turn us and our ancestors into cartoon villains.

00:21:51.800 That's how you neutralize the grievance mongers and the guilt merchants so they have no power.

00:21:57.740 They can do their tribal chants all they want.

00:22:00.780 They can do them in the shower, in their own homes, whatever.

00:22:05.100 The rest of us will be doing what New Zealand is apparently now incapable of doing.

00:22:08.220 We'll be living a functioning, self-governing democracy.

00:22:12.060 And if there's one lesson from these bizarre and embarrassing clips out of New Zealand, it's that no one should ever take that for granted.

00:22:20.320 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:22:27.600 You know what's fascinating about home ownership?

00:22:29.720 It's this constant battle between order and chaos.

00:22:32.380 And nothing embodies that chaos quite like failing gutters.

00:22:35.580 They're not just an inconvenience, they're a genuine threat to the structure and stability of your home.

00:22:40.240 That's where leaf filter comes in. 0.91

00:22:42.040 Think of it as bringing order to chaos with their award-winning patented technology.

00:22:58.920 Sure, you could keep climbing that ladder season after season or try those temporary solutions from the hardware store.

00:23:04.740 But at what cost?

00:23:05.960 Water damage from overflowing gutters can lead to flooding, roof damage, rotting siding, and even foundation issues.

00:23:47.060 As you probably heard, Trump has nominated RFK Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.

00:23:52.500 RFK Jr. is, well, him leading HHS is, it's like, it's a funny meme six months ago, and now it has come to life.

00:24:03.880 And I couldn't be happier about it.

00:24:05.200 I mean, this may be my favorite cabinet appointment so far.

00:24:08.560 Maybe my favorite cabinet appointment of all time.

00:24:10.720 I mean, it's just spectacular.

00:24:11.900 In fact, it's so good that RFK hasn't even been confirmed yet, and he's already cleaning house.

00:24:19.020 NBC News has this.

00:24:19.960 Some staff members at the FDA are considering a quick exit as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is being floated as a potential health official in the incoming Trump administration,

00:24:28.860 according to three former and one current government official who are granted anonymity to speak freely about sensitive issues.

00:24:35.180 The former officials are still in touch with colleagues who work at the FDA.

00:24:37.860 So now they're thinking about leaving.

00:24:43.140 And, you know, RFK is not even there yet.

00:24:46.820 So that's great.

00:24:47.500 Makes Elon's job over at Doge much easier.

00:24:51.720 And this is just the beginning of the meltdown.

00:24:53.440 You can imagine what the reaction has been over on the dying cable news channels, MSNBC and CNN.

00:24:59.600 They're very upset.

00:25:01.020 They're claiming that RFK Jr. is anti-science and so on.

00:25:05.660 But let's just be very clear about one thing.

00:25:07.660 If you are on the left, you have lost the right to call anybody anti-science ever.

00:25:14.100 I mean, that right has been permanently revoked.

00:25:17.520 Once you claim that men can give birth, you are officially disqualified from ever saying that anybody else is anti-science.

00:25:27.200 Because it's pretty much guaranteed that no matter what views they have about science,

00:25:31.760 those views are at least more scientific than what you claimed.

00:25:37.660 And when it comes to HHS, you know, one of the guys running it for the last four years

00:25:45.800 has dedicated his whole life, his very identity, to the denial of biological reality.

00:25:51.640 So even if RFK Jr. really was a science denier, he's not denying it at the level that the left does or the current regime does.

00:26:03.200 So he would still be an improvement.

00:26:04.840 I mean, RFK Jr. could be a flat earther who believes that, I don't know, the moon is fake and that there are dinosaurs living in Antarctica or whatever.

00:26:14.120 And his denial of science would still not be anywhere near as extreme or as harmful as the proponents of gender ideology.

00:26:25.080 Because that is the most radical denial of science the world has ever seen.

00:26:31.480 Ever.

00:26:32.000 Now, with all that said, RFK Jr. is not a science denier.

00:26:37.140 He is rather a skeptic of the medical establishment.

00:26:41.700 That is what he is.

00:26:43.520 And that would be the more accurate way to describe, I think, his point of view.

00:26:49.520 And skeptic just means he doesn't assume that everything the medical establishment is doing is automatically right.

00:26:56.620 He believes that sometimes they can be wrong, severely wrong.

00:27:02.440 And that's exactly the sort of attitude that somebody in HHS should have.

00:27:08.040 And it just so happens that he's right.

00:27:10.260 The medical establishment is often wrong.

00:27:12.940 They've been wrong in massively significant ways many times recently.

00:27:18.720 They were wrong about pretty much every aspect of COVID.

00:27:22.160 Masks, vaccines, social distancing, you know, everything else.

00:27:25.100 Because they were obviously wrong about sterilizing and castrating kids.

00:27:29.320 And about everything else related to the trans subject.

00:27:31.740 They were and are wrong about many aspects of the mental health issue.

00:27:35.460 They were wrong about the cause and treatment of depression.

00:27:38.920 And these are just the things they were wrong about in the last, like, four or five years.

00:27:42.840 Okay?

00:27:43.580 And these are massive things.

00:27:45.000 Massive.

00:27:47.100 So, does RFK Jr. reject every aspect of modern medicine?

00:27:53.240 Obviously not.

00:27:54.000 But he's not going to assume that something is right, that something is healthy, just because

00:27:58.460 medical organizations say so.

00:28:01.780 Again, they've been wrong many times recently.

00:28:07.540 And so, everybody should have RFK Jr.'s attitude about the medical establishment.

00:28:12.100 Doesn't mean that everybody will arrive at the same conclusions that he does.

00:28:15.220 But everyone should have the same basic attitude of, okay, well, that's what they say.

00:28:21.900 But is it true?

00:28:23.060 New York Post reports, ABC News brass are in panic mode as they hunt for conservative voices to balance the rabid anti-Trump rhetoric spewed by the hosts on The View, as well as those on other shows.

00:28:37.360 The Disney-owned network has been holding high-level meetings since last week's rout by the former president.

00:28:42.920 And they are looking for and facing pressure from the higher-ups to go find a pro-Trump conservative perspective and a new panelist on the show.

00:28:54.460 And, you know, I just want to say right now, for what it's worth, I want to announce, actually, that it's an important announcement that I would be honored to serve my country in this role.

00:29:07.600 I would be honored to take this post of View co-host.

00:29:12.840 I'm officially throwing my hat into the ring for consideration.

00:29:18.060 And I think I'm qualified for the role.

00:29:19.760 I have a lot of experience in front of a camera.

00:29:22.580 I'm conservative, which is what you're looking for.

00:29:26.420 I'm a really friendly guy.

00:29:28.560 I'm a real nice guy.

00:29:29.960 I think I'd fit in well.

00:29:31.580 I'd get along with these ladies. 1.00

00:29:33.120 I think we'd bond.

00:29:33.860 I think we'd become close, honestly.

00:29:35.880 That's what I think.

00:29:37.240 I could see us all hanging out on the weekends.

00:29:39.020 I could see us going for brunch on a Sunday morning.

00:29:41.820 I could see that happening.

00:29:45.240 And you know what?

00:29:46.360 You don't have to pay me.

00:29:48.580 Serious offer.

00:29:49.240 I'll do it for free.

00:29:51.120 Pay me zero dollars.

00:29:53.700 I mean, come on.

00:29:55.580 That's a win.

00:29:56.280 That's also a win for, you know, that's a win against the patriarchy.

00:30:02.120 But I'll be getting paid much less than all the women on the panel. 0.91

00:30:05.680 Because I'll be getting paid nothing.

00:30:08.660 So I don't know how you turn that down.

00:30:10.040 It is payment enough for me to spend time with Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg.

00:30:15.860 That is payment enough.

00:30:16.720 I couldn't ask for more.

00:30:18.500 I could not ask for more than that.

00:30:19.960 How could I?

00:30:21.860 And at least let me come in and do an audition.

00:30:24.360 That's all I'm saying.

00:30:25.220 You know, just one day at the table.

00:30:29.340 One show.

00:30:31.080 It'll be memorable.

00:30:32.140 I promise.

00:30:32.660 I promise you that.

00:30:36.560 In fact, I'm not being boastful, I don't think, when I say that if I came on The View,

00:30:40.920 it would be the greatest episode of that show of all time.

00:30:44.240 I would make sure of that.

00:30:46.580 So just give me a shot.

00:30:47.660 Put me in, coach.

00:30:49.060 Right?

00:30:49.520 I'm ready.

00:30:50.500 Like, let's...

00:30:51.760 Come on.

00:30:52.540 What could go wrong?

00:30:53.440 What could go wrong?

00:30:56.740 From my perspective, nothing.

00:31:02.420 This is a fun story.

00:31:03.740 A teacher in Connecticut named Annie Dunleavy was forced to resign after making a video

00:31:08.820 threatening Trump supporters on TikTok after the win.

00:31:14.880 And now she's on local news crying her eyes out and begging for her job back. 1.00

00:31:19.860 So we'll play this clip.

00:31:21.700 And it starts with the reporter hilariously reading the transcript of her TikTok video

00:31:29.680 back to her.

00:31:31.520 Here it is.

00:31:33.220 If you voted for Trump, literally, please delete me, block me, get rid of everything of me

00:31:37.520 or step to me so that I know what's up and then I can handle you how I see fit.

00:31:42.580 Just because you won doesn't mean we don't remember who the blank you voted for.

00:31:47.720 You're not in the clear.

00:31:48.820 Please, please don't test your gangster on me because you will end on a stretcher gone

00:31:53.700 forever.

00:31:54.260 What does that mean exactly?

00:31:55.320 It sounds like a threat.

00:31:56.600 It sounds very extreme.

00:31:58.100 And again, I was in a moment of high emotions and I shouldn't have ever posted the video.

00:32:03.460 But what I really, the message I was trying to get across and it came off very wrong was,

00:32:09.340 you know, if this is going to give people the almost permission in their minds to enact

00:32:16.460 violence against women or anybody, I wanted to basically just say like I'm not going to

00:32:22.660 go down without a fight.

00:32:23.780 I mean, you know, it's my life's dream to be a teacher.

00:32:26.560 I consider those kids my kids because I don't have any of my own and they feel that for me

00:32:34.380 and I just, it's so fulfilling.

00:32:36.720 It's so rewarding and I really, I know that what people see right now.

00:32:42.240 I don't look like that person, but I truly would do anything to help any child and any

00:32:49.160 family in need.

00:32:50.200 Just because you won doesn't mean we don't remember who the you voted for.

00:32:55.460 You're not in the clear.

00:32:56.580 And just please, please don't test your gangster on me because you will end on a stretcher gone

00:33:08.340 forever.

00:33:12.940 Oh, wow.

00:33:13.940 She should have broke out into the Haka dance. 1.00

00:33:16.480 Make it even more, make it even more intimidating.

00:33:20.120 Now, first of all, props to that news anchor for the deadpan delivery of the TikTok video.

00:33:24.900 He knew exactly what he was doing there and it was great.

00:33:27.300 So well done.

00:33:28.100 Well done, sir.

00:33:30.600 Second, what is it with these, you know, no offense, but out of shape women making physical 1.00

00:33:37.440 threats that they can't even begin to actually follow through on?

00:33:41.660 Like who are you putting on a stretcher exactly?

00:33:43.580 What are your, what's your plan?

00:33:45.540 Okay.

00:33:46.640 Let's say that I stepped to you in your words.

00:33:49.140 Like, what are you, what are you going to do about it?

00:33:51.440 What are you doing?

00:33:52.140 What's your, what's your plan here?

00:33:53.720 Um, and what kind of adult speaks like that in the first place?

00:34:00.440 Like, I don't even mean I'm offended by it.

00:34:04.460 Just who don't test your gangster on me.

00:34:08.020 You're an adult.

00:34:10.400 You're a teacher and that's how you speak.

00:34:13.220 Um, I am less upset by the physical threat and more upset by the fact that the woman is a schoolteacher with an IQ of 93. 0.99

00:34:23.980 And I think I'm being generous. 1.00

00:34:28.120 If I was in charge, I would fire her just for, for being so cringe and dumb. 1.00

00:34:33.340 It wouldn't even be about the, yeah, she's making threats and that's unacceptable, but that's a secondary. 0.99

00:34:39.460 That's secondary.

00:34:40.000 That's not even the main thing we'd be talking about when I fire you. 1.00

00:34:45.360 It'd be, this is really cringe and really stupid. 1.00

00:34:49.460 You're a 37 year old woman or however old you are. 1.00

00:34:52.080 You're talking like you're 14.

00:34:54.060 Um, okay.

00:34:56.620 Um, but that, and that's not even the worst part of the video, actually.

00:35:01.980 Um, at least that's not the worst part of the, the, the, the whole video we just saw. 0.93

00:35:05.940 The most disturbing part of all of it, even leaving aside the cringe, the stupidity, the violent threats is where she says that she considers the students to be her kids because she doesn't have kids of her own. 0.96

00:35:17.840 Um, um, I, I'm even more worried about that, that I am about this white woman pretending to be a gangster rapper or whatever. 1.00

00:35:27.860 Um, I will say that she doesn't scare me by saying, Hey, step to me, step to me, see what happens.

00:35:35.820 That doesn't scare me, but I am, it does scare me when she says this stuff about they're my kids.

00:35:40.220 They fulfill me that, that actually does scare me.

00:35:42.460 That that's a scary thing.

00:35:43.940 That's creepy.

00:35:44.640 Um, and, uh, at least if I was a parent with kids in the school, I'd be scared by, I'd be scared about that.

00:35:50.100 I'd be, I'd be pretty terrified by the prospect of that, uh, by teachers that have this kind of attitude where it's not, look, if you're a teacher and you feel a bond with your kids and you care about them, great, you should.

00:36:00.140 But feeling like they are your kids and they fulfill some sort of deep, something missing in your life.

00:36:08.100 Uh, no, that's not what this is about.

00:36:11.380 And if you feel that way about a teacher, you should keep it to yourself.

00:36:14.100 Cause that's not, I don't want my kid's job is not to fulfill something that's, it's not to like give you something you're missing in your life.

00:36:20.540 Okay.

00:36:20.900 I want you to just teach my kid.

00:36:22.420 If I'm sending him to school, I don't want that.

00:36:25.960 I don't, I don't want to know that's again, that you keep that to yourself.

00:36:30.880 Uh, it doesn't matter now at this point, she's fired anyway, but, um, and we know that this is the attitude that some teachers have. 0.82

00:36:40.060 That, um, they feel like those kids are their kids and they are not your kids.

00:36:47.180 You are at most spending nine months with them until they move on to the next grade.

00:36:56.360 Uh, and depending on what grade you teach and what school you go to, it's like, you're actually spending 45 minutes a day.

00:37:03.400 Maybe with any particular kid, um, as they go to the different subjects and all, but, but regardless, okay.

00:37:11.820 They're not your kids and you barely know them.

00:37:14.980 Okay.

00:37:15.420 They're not around you enough and they don't talk to you enough and you don't have nearly enough experience with them to even really know them that well.

00:37:21.340 And they're not your kids.

00:37:25.500 All right.

00:37:26.640 Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, uh, fight tonight.

00:37:29.200 And I have to say, I'm not a boxing fan at all.

00:37:33.660 Uh, nothing against it.

00:37:34.800 I just don't watch the sport, you know, but, um, I am kind of interested in this.

00:37:39.080 They, I don't know why I'm, I'm sort of wrapped into it.

00:37:41.400 I think it's going to be a tear.

00:37:42.260 It's going to not be an enjoyable spectacle probably, but I don't know.

00:37:48.600 They, they got me.

00:37:49.560 I'm kind of interested now and I probably will watch it.

00:37:53.480 Mike Tyson at 58 years old, uh, is fighting someone who's half his age.

00:38:01.840 And that's the context for this video that I want to play, which is, this is honestly one of the funniest things I've seen this year.

00:38:09.180 I mean, this is brilliant comedy, entirely unintentional, but this, if this was scripted, I would say this is a brilliantly scripted comedic moment.

00:38:16.380 Uh, so Tyson was being interviewed by, uh, some, a kid for her, I guess her TikTok channel, apparently.

00:38:23.800 And Mike Tyson seems to have forgotten, uh, during this little interview that he's speaking to a child.

00:38:31.360 And so this is how it went.

00:38:32.760 Well, in your return to the ring for this fight, you are setting a monumental opportunity for kids my age to see the legend, Mike Tyson, in the ring for the first time.

00:38:43.280 So after such a successful career, what type of legacy would you like to leave behind when it's all said and done?

00:38:49.060 Well, I don't know.

00:38:49.760 I don't believe in the word legacy.

00:38:51.240 I just think that's another word for ego.

00:38:53.720 Legacy doesn't mean nothing.

00:38:55.400 That's just some word everybody grabbed onto.

00:38:58.060 Someone said that word and everyone grabbed onto words and now it's used every five seconds.

00:39:02.460 It means absolutely nothing to me.

00:39:04.060 I'm just passing through.

00:39:05.020 I'm going to die and it's going to be over.

00:39:07.760 Who cares about legacy after that? 0.95

00:39:10.880 What a big ego.

00:39:12.160 So I'm going to die.

00:39:12.820 I want people to think that I'm this. 0.84

00:39:14.100 I'm great.

00:39:14.640 I'm no, we're nothing.

00:39:15.920 We're just dead.

00:39:17.140 We're dust.

00:39:18.300 We're absolutely nothing.

00:39:20.600 Our legacy is nothing.

00:39:23.340 Well, thank you so much for sharing that.

00:39:24.880 That is something that I have not heard before.

00:39:27.400 Someone say that as an answer.

00:39:28.740 Can you really imagine somebody saying, I want my legacy to be this way when I, you're dead.

00:39:34.140 Why do you want to, you think somebody really wants to think about you?

00:39:37.580 How, how, what's your dad say?

00:39:39.340 I think I want people to think about me when I'm gone.

00:39:41.640 Who the f*** cares about me when I'm gone?

00:39:44.580 My kids maybe, my grandkids. 0.62

00:39:46.560 That's true.

00:39:48.920 Now, I don't approve of the language that he used in front of the child.

00:39:54.560 You know, you shouldn't use profanity.

00:39:56.520 But other than that, it is hilarious.

00:39:59.460 And look, I believe in talking to kids like the way that I talk to my own kids.

00:40:04.060 I talk to my kids like I would talk to anybody else.

00:40:07.880 That's, I believe that that's what you should do.

00:40:09.880 You should talk to kids like they're, you know, you don't talk down to them.

00:40:12.800 You talk to them like they're a person because that's what they are.

00:40:15.560 And, but this is, you know, there's, there are limits.

00:40:19.100 And I think he's exceeded the limit.

00:40:22.040 The best part is the kid saying, oh, thank you for sharing that.

00:40:27.380 Nothing matters.

00:40:28.340 Nothing, we're all going to die.

00:40:29.800 We're dust.

00:40:30.420 Nothing matters.

00:40:31.200 Legacy. 0.98

00:40:32.740 It's all b***h. 0.97

00:40:33.680 Doesn't matter. 0.96

00:40:35.740 Oh, well, thank you for sharing that.

00:40:39.000 It's, it's very funny, but also sad, I have to say.

00:40:42.420 And I've seen a lot of people sharing this video and laughing about it.

00:40:46.280 Rightfully so.

00:40:47.020 I mean, objectively, it is funny.

00:40:49.200 But then also saying, as I've seen in some of the commentary about this video, that Mike

00:40:54.640 Tyson is right and that he's just giving kind of a cold dose of reality to this, to this,

00:41:00.480 to this kid.

00:41:01.720 But I mean, he's not right.

00:41:03.780 You know, this, this is nihilism.

00:41:05.200 The idea that nothing we do matters because we'll all be nothing in the end after we die

00:41:10.840 isn't true, first of all.

00:41:12.980 We won't be nothing after death.

00:41:14.580 Death is not nothingness.

00:41:16.480 And your legacy does matter.

00:41:18.140 Like what kind of effect you have on the world, what you leave behind, how you're remembered,

00:41:22.060 all of that does actually matter.

00:41:26.400 And if that doesn't matter, if the effect and impact you have on the world and how you're

00:41:32.420 remembered and what kind of legacy you leave, if that doesn't matter, then nothing matters.

00:41:37.980 Right?

00:41:38.160 Which is, which is, of course, I assume Mike Tyson's philosophy.

00:41:41.640 It's nihilism, which is, which is not something we should be applauding, even if objectively

00:41:46.620 it's very funny in this context.

00:41:48.860 We shouldn't be applauding it.

00:41:52.160 I mean, it's just, it's not actually true.

00:41:53.680 That is not, that's, you shouldn't live your life that way.

00:41:56.860 Now, you shouldn't be an egomaniac either.

00:41:59.260 You shouldn't be obsessively concerned with how people will think about you, but caring

00:42:06.120 about legacy and caring about how you're remembered, that's, like, that's, not only is, is that

00:42:10.800 the correct way to live, but it's the only way to greatness.

00:42:16.140 I mean, every, every great, every great person who's achieved something great in life cared

00:42:21.720 about that.

00:42:22.340 You know, there, there are not very many, you know, there might be a few exceptions here

00:42:25.340 and there, people that are nihilists and didn't really care about anything, and yet still

00:42:29.020 went on sort of accidentally, almost, to do great things.

00:42:32.840 But those would be rare exceptions.

00:42:34.240 And for the most part, the people that achieve greatness and are great, it's because they

00:42:39.860 think that, you know, it does matter.

00:42:42.240 I mean, it's just, just, nothing matters is not a good starting point to success in life

00:42:48.020 or happiness.

00:42:48.600 As for the fight itself, I already admitted, I don't know anything about, I don't know,

00:42:53.980 I don't follow boxing, I don't, I'm not an expert, so take my commentary with a grain

00:42:59.140 of salt.

00:42:59.940 I do understand some basic realities about human beings, however, and one of them is that

00:43:07.760 age is real.

00:43:08.920 And 60-year-old men don't win boxing matches against men half their age.

00:43:17.460 Okay, so Mike Tyson will lose.

00:43:19.480 Feel very confident in that.

00:43:21.760 Okay, I'd put money, I might even put money on it.

00:43:23.500 I mean, I, he's, he's gonna lose because, unless the whole thing is just totally rigged

00:43:29.780 and it's all for show, which I mean, of course, it's at least partially all for show.

00:43:33.460 So, um, but, but he'll lose because he's 60 years old and he, and that, that means something.

00:43:41.940 And we, we, you know, I tweeted something about this last night and of course, like thousands

00:43:47.220 of comments are all really angry and insisting that, uh, I'm wrong and like guarantee, oh,

00:43:54.000 Mike, he's going to destroy him.

00:43:55.580 It doesn't matter.

00:43:56.500 60 years old.

00:43:57.420 So this guy's still in fighting shape, but it, we have this thing in this country and

00:44:07.880 we see it in politics.

00:44:08.800 We see it in celebrity culture.

00:44:12.500 We, we see it with the, you know, the obsession with plastic surgery and all that, but it's

00:44:18.000 this thing where we just refuse to accept the reality of aging.

00:44:23.060 We refuse to accept it.

00:44:25.340 We won't accept it.

00:44:27.420 And that's one of the reasons why you got so many people like insisting that Mike Tyson

00:44:33.080 is going to win.

00:44:33.860 And maybe it's because they, you know, some of it's nostalgia.

00:44:36.620 Some of it is, um, they really hate Jake Paul.

00:44:40.740 I mean, there's a lot that goes into it, but then part of it is also just like people don't

00:44:45.820 want to admit to themselves that aging is real.

00:44:50.320 And that if you're in your sixties or in your late fifties, you are past your physical prime.

00:44:55.200 You just are.

00:44:58.520 Okay.

00:44:59.080 Unless you were in, you know, sometimes you hear about someone who's 55 years old.

00:45:02.360 I'm in the best shape of my life.

00:45:03.580 It's possible. 1.00

00:45:04.300 If you were a total lard ass in your twenties and then didn't start caring about your health 0.99

00:45:09.080 until your forties and fifties, then yeah, it's possible in that case that you can be 0.99

00:45:12.580 in the best shape of your life in your, in your late fifties.

00:45:14.480 That says a lot more about what you were before than it is about you now, unfortunately.

00:45:19.100 Um, but generally the, the, the process is, uh, you know, you don't get stronger with age.

00:45:23.760 You get stronger with age and sharper with age up to a point, you know, as you know, from

00:45:31.040 childhood into early adulthood, hopefully you get stronger and sharper and all of that,

00:45:35.300 but it reaches a point and then you start to decline.

00:45:39.900 And yes, you lose the physical part that goes first for everybody.

00:45:44.520 Eventually the mental part goes as well.

00:45:46.480 It doesn't mean you're, everyone's going to lose their mind.

00:45:47.960 It doesn't mean everyone's going to end up like Joe Biden, but you, you know, you lose

00:45:52.220 some of that clarity of thought, some of that quickness that goes to, it just does.

00:45:56.380 It does for everybody.

00:45:57.600 I'm sorry, you know, and you can refuse to accept it all you want, but it's still true

00:46:04.060 no matter what.

00:46:07.060 So I'm getting all these responses. 0.99

00:46:08.500 There's one guy that, you know, I'm in my sixties and I could kick the ass of 98% of 0.99

00:46:14.220 guys under the age of 30. 1.00

00:46:17.140 Uh, no, you can't.

00:46:19.540 Sorry, you can't.

00:46:21.260 Uh, I just guarantee that you can't because you're in your sixties and, um, nothing wrong

00:46:27.440 with that.

00:46:28.440 How about having some dignity as we age instead and like accepting the realities of aging and

00:46:33.580 not insisting that even though we're 62, we haven't really aged past the age of 28.

00:46:39.220 You know, we've just repeated the age of 28 over and over and over again.

00:46:42.460 Like, like how about just accepting it?

00:46:44.160 There's dignity in that.

00:46:46.840 Cause I'll tell you one thing, you don't, you don't have to lose everything as you age.

00:46:50.520 Yeah.

00:46:50.860 You lose a lot of the, the physical part.

00:46:53.020 Again, you lose, everybody loses that.

00:46:54.400 You lose that.

00:46:54.880 You get weaker.

00:46:55.520 You get, you know, it's just all that.

00:46:57.420 You get more frail.

00:46:59.040 All that happens as you age.

00:47:00.440 Um, you lose some of the mental sharpness and quickness like that goes to, but what you

00:47:06.420 can gain as you age is wisdom.

00:47:10.580 Okay.

00:47:10.980 That's, that's the one thing.

00:47:12.180 And it's a big thing that you can continue to gain year after year after year.

00:47:18.860 Um, so that when you're in your sixties, yeah, you're not as quick as you once were.

00:47:23.380 You're not as strong as you once were, but hopefully you're much wiser than you were.

00:47:27.400 When you were younger and you're much wiser than men, half your age. 0.67

00:47:32.880 So that is one thing you can gain.

00:47:35.240 That's, that's the good news in all this.

00:47:37.000 Yes.

00:47:37.160 We're all going to get old and, and get frail and die.

00:47:40.420 You know, that's all going to happen.

00:47:41.780 If it doesn't happen to you, it's because you died before any of that could happen.

00:47:44.320 Um, but the good news is you can get wiser with age, but you lose out on that benefit

00:47:54.000 of aging if you refuse to accept that you are aging.

00:47:58.560 And if you cling on to your youth desperately and you go around with this nonsense claiming

00:48:06.700 that, Oh yeah, I'm 60. 1.00

00:48:07.940 I can beat anyone's ass. 0.99

00:48:09.560 Like that's not why, because you've, you're, you're clinging on to this. 0.99

00:48:13.960 It is, it is blocking the wisdom that you could be gaining because, uh, in order to,

00:48:20.680 you know, the starting point, if you want to gain any wisdom, you have to at least begin

00:48:25.000 by accepting reality.

00:48:26.400 There's no such thing as gaining wisdom.

00:48:28.840 You know, a person who's delusional about reality can't be wise.

00:48:33.280 And so you got to start with that.

00:48:36.200 Um, yeah, that's one thing that we're missing.

00:48:38.640 So yeah, Mike Tyson will lose.

00:48:43.120 And then if he doesn't, you know, I, well, Hey, I'd said, I don't know anything about boxing.

00:48:47.540 So we'll see.

00:48:49.680 Let's talk about something that affects all of us taxes.

00:48:52.640 The October 15th deadline has passed.

00:48:54.300 And if you're not prepared, you could be in for a world of hurt.

00:48:57.340 Do you owe back taxes?

00:48:58.340 Are your returns still unfiled?

00:48:59.840 Did you miss the deadline to file for an extension?

00:49:01.980 Now that we're past October 15th, the IRS is probably gearing up for some aggressive

00:49:05.500 enforcement.

00:49:06.240 Trust me, you don't want to be on their radar.

00:49:08.100 We're talking wage garnishments, frozen bank accounts, even property seizures.

00:49:11.440 It's not pretty, but before you start panicking, there's still hope.

00:50:38.880 Join us now as we fight the left and build the future.

00:50:41.660 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.

00:50:48.440 Darkness and confusion descended upon our country yesterday.

00:50:52.900 Cries of anguish could be heard across the land, mourning and wailing and gnashing of teeth

00:50:58.380 as it was revealed that Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had removed the pronouns from her 1.00

00:51:04.200 Twitter bio.

00:51:05.760 Until recently, AOC's bio specified that she is a she-her, but at some point in the last few

00:51:10.800 months, she deleted that detail from her personal biography.

00:51:13.700 As you can see here, first it's there and then it's not.

00:51:18.440 Now, is she still a woman? 1.00

00:51:21.940 Did something change?

00:51:24.100 How are we supposed to know what she is?

00:51:27.160 I mean, how does this work exactly?

00:51:28.580 If somebody identifies as certain pronouns, but then suddenly without warning stops identifying

00:51:33.540 as those pronouns, do the old pronouns automatically hold indefinitely?

00:51:38.500 Or does that mean that we're supposed to be using no pronouns when we refer to her?

00:51:42.520 Or when we refer to blank.

00:51:46.860 This is an especially bewildering change considering that it was only two years ago that AOC apologized

00:51:51.660 publicly for not having pronouns on her Instagram bio.

00:51:55.320 I'm sorry about that.

00:51:58.220 They used to be on there.

00:51:59.360 Let me go in and check and see if I can add them.

00:52:02.460 Sorry about that.

00:52:03.640 They used to be there.

00:52:04.740 I guess they fell off, but I'll put them on right now.

00:52:08.300 So she put the pronouns up after that little incident.

00:52:11.380 Not having pronouns was an offense that necessitated an apology two years ago.

00:52:15.500 And now she deliberately removes the pronouns without any apology or even explanation.

00:52:21.300 Think about all those people who were offended that she didn't have pronouns before.

00:52:24.500 How must they be feeling now, now that her pronouns have disappeared again?

00:52:29.360 Think about how scared, how lost, how alone they must feel.

00:52:33.280 You know, I have sympathy for those poor folks, even if AOC doesn't.

00:52:36.900 Now, it may sound like I'm being sarcastic about all of this, and I am, of course, but

00:52:40.100 it is true that the removal of the pronouns from AOC's bio is pretty significant in a symbolic

00:52:47.680 kind of way.

00:52:49.220 You know, at some point very recently, AOC, one of the wokest members of Congress and one

00:52:53.460 of the leaders of the woke revolution, made the deliberate decision to go into her bio

00:52:58.420 and take those two words out of it.

00:53:01.500 Why did she do that? 1.00

00:53:03.600 It was obviously a thought process behind it.

00:53:05.780 It wasn't done randomly.

00:53:07.520 She said to herself, I have to go take those out.

00:53:10.620 Why?

00:53:11.800 There was a reason.

00:53:12.780 What was it?

00:53:14.400 Well, the reason seems pretty clear.

00:53:15.920 We've talked about it on the show, including just yesterday.

00:53:17.720 The pronouns signify something very specific.

00:53:21.320 You know, AOC never put the pronouns in her bio because she thought that people were confused

00:53:26.480 about whether she's a woman.

00:53:28.180 They weren't meant to inform anyone about her sex.

00:53:31.140 The pronouns are a symbol of one's fealty to the trans religion.

00:53:35.080 They are a statement of your belief in transgenderism and your rejection of biological reality. 0.99

00:53:42.400 They put pronouns because it's quicker and snappier and more palatable than adding a note

00:53:47.520 to their bio that says, I hereby accept and affirm everything that trans activists say.

00:53:53.920 Reality is whatever they say it is.

00:53:55.540 I reject any truth that they tell me to reject.

00:53:59.840 That's what the pronouns mean.

00:54:01.460 But they get the message across more efficiently by just putting the pronouns in.

00:54:05.600 So what does it mean when you take the pronouns out?

00:54:08.180 It means that you no longer want to make that statement.

00:54:12.600 Now, probably you never wanted to make it.

00:54:14.680 AOC, woke as she is, clearly didn't want to, which is why she had to be guilted into it in the first place. 0.86

00:54:21.040 But now that now they see that, you know, that sort of public submission to the trans agenda,

00:54:27.160 they see it as more politically damaging and certainly more humiliating than the alternative.

00:54:34.400 They are embarrassed of it.

00:54:35.920 AOC, even AOC, is embarrassed of the trans issue.

00:54:42.700 And that's why she made this quiet change to separate herself from it.

00:54:46.860 There's really no other way to interpret it.

00:54:49.700 Now, I'm not claiming that Democrats have had any sort of mass conversion experience.

00:54:54.720 I'm not even claiming that they've, you know, had their minds changed on the trans issue.

00:54:59.740 Their minds never needed to be changed.

00:55:02.060 The vast majority of them never believed any of this in the first place.

00:55:05.260 Even most of the trans activists, as in left-wing activists who also identify as trans,

00:55:10.380 don't actually believe that a man in a dress is a woman or that men can get pregnant or any of that.

00:55:17.640 We use words like confusion a lot when talking about this issue.

00:55:21.360 But most of them are not actually confused about this stuff.

00:55:26.280 Now, tragically, plenty of children are confused because they've been made to be confused.

00:55:30.680 But the adults doing the confusing do not share in that confusion for the most part.

00:55:37.400 They know better, which is what makes it all so evil.

00:55:41.920 No, the Democrats never believed in the claims made by the trans agenda.

00:55:47.840 Rather, they saw it as a useful tool.

00:55:51.020 You know, the trans agenda was a useful tool. 0.99

00:55:52.960 It was a means to an end.

00:55:54.940 It was another way of controlling and manipulating people and destroying the pieces of human civilization

00:55:59.500 that they despise, which is, you know, pretty much all of it.

00:56:03.660 But what happens when the tool is no longer useful?

00:56:05.740 What happens when it hurts your quest for power more than it helps it?

00:56:10.600 What happens when the tool is only having the effect of making people laugh at you?

00:56:16.060 What happens when your tool for societal control has made you a laughingstock of society?

00:56:21.620 What happens when you intended to use the tool to bully those who you perceive to be weaker than you,

00:56:26.780 but instead you're the one who ends up getting stuffed into a locker?

00:56:31.160 Well, in that case, the tool is not a tool anymore.

00:56:35.740 You've discarded.

00:56:37.520 So AOC is not turning conservative.

00:56:39.800 She won't be switching her party registration anytime soon.

00:56:42.120 She's not going to be singing Donald Trump's praises or announcing that she's a big fan of the Ben Shapiro podcast

00:56:47.040 or that her favorite film of the year is Am I Racist?

00:56:50.460 streaming now on Daily Wire Plus.

00:56:51.920 But she is backing ever so quietly, ever so gently away from a battle that she knows she's lost.

00:56:59.800 The left's war on biology is failing.

00:57:02.860 They know that.

00:57:03.660 You know, that's what's meant by this change.

00:57:08.120 It is the answer to the mystery of the missing pronouns.

00:57:12.800 And it's why, by AOC's own hand, preferred pronouns are today canceled.

00:57:19.960 That'll do it for the show today and this week.
