00:02:02.460 It's been hard to miss the ongoing effort to rewrite America's history,

00:02:31.720 to cast the United States as a kind of international supervillain.

00:02:35.660 Just a couple weeks ago, we spent the better part of an hour dissecting the 25,000-hour documentary from Ken Burns

00:02:41.140 about the Revolutionary War, which told a flagrant lie, either explicitly or by implication,

00:02:47.680 every 10 minutes or so throughout the course of the very long documentary.

00:02:51.640 And the point of the documentary, of course, was to convince young people,

00:02:54.100 many of whom will be forced to watch the film in public school,

00:02:57.320 that America is a terrible country founded by racist misogynists who stole all their ideas from the Indians.

00:03:04.860 As it turns out, according to Ken Burns, the Indians were philosophers on the level of Plato or Aristotle.

00:03:11.680 You see, when they weren't busy converting human beings into stew or arranging beads into flamboyant patterns

00:03:17.620 because they were too primitive to come up with a written language,

00:03:20.620 the Indians were basically giving Ben Franklin all of his ideas under the table.

00:03:25.500 Now, correcting the historical record with our own projects on the scale of Ken Burns' work

00:03:34.880 But in order to understand the extent of the propaganda we're up against,

00:03:39.240 it's important to recognize that leftists are not simply rewriting history.

00:03:43.360 They're also attempting to rewrite some of the most classic expressions of American culture,

00:03:59.940 and that any individual who seems to be evil is, in fact, a very misunderstood victim of circumstance.

00:04:09.740 I want you to listen to this musical number from the 1961 Disney film 101 Dalmatians.

00:04:15.940 And it's sung by Roger, the character, about the villain of the story,

00:04:20.200 who, of course, is Cruella de Vil,

00:04:22.360 sung much to the delight of a family's pet Dalmatian, Pongo.

00:04:27.080 And see what you notice about the lyrics.

00:05:50.420 And that's why it holds up more than 60 years later.

00:05:53.800 And it's very clearly superior to the CGI slop,

00:05:57.960 and now the AI slop,

00:05:59.900 that we've all grown accustomed to.

00:06:01.880 And it certainly looks a lot better

00:06:03.280 than the modern remake of this same story,

00:06:06.480 But the more important part for now,

00:09:16.380 which Cruella's mother is killed by Dalmatians

00:09:18.720 right in front of her while she looks on in horror.

00:09:21.840 This is one of the worst scenes I've ever had to look at

00:09:25.060 in terms of just like the quality.

00:09:26.440 And now I'm going to make you endure it as well.

00:09:29.380 This is completely real.

00:09:30.820 This is like the actual movie.

00:09:33.640 Before we even get into how dumb this scene is,

00:09:58.740 I mean, just look at it.

00:10:00.440 The quality isn't in the same universe

00:10:02.540 as the animated film that was released six decades earlier.

00:10:06.260 The sky in the background is clearly fake.

00:10:08.600 The weather is clearly fake.

00:10:10.260 The Dalmatians are clearly fake.

00:10:28.800 But these look like graphics that you might see in a mall arcade in 2002

00:10:38.360 There's no sense that any artist cared about how it looked

00:10:40.780 or spent any amount of time on it really at all.

00:10:42.880 And appropriately enough, along with the aesthetic decay,

00:10:46.400 the messaging of the film has fallen apart as well.

00:10:48.900 Now, in Cruella, we're told that Cruella isn't actually a bad person.

00:10:52.260 Instead, she's suffered a horrible personal tragedy as a child.

00:10:55.500 Her mother died right in front of her

00:10:56.820 because CGI dogs ran after her, as you just saw.

00:11:00.000 And we later learned that those dogs were secretly ordered to attack

00:11:03.600 via dog whistle by another character called the Baroness.

00:11:06.360 So Cruella spends the rest of the movie getting vengeance on this person

00:11:10.360 who killed her mother.

00:11:11.240 But the big twist, spoiler alert,

00:11:12.880 is that the Baroness is Cruella's actual mother.

00:11:15.440 And the woman who was pushed off the cliff by the Dalmatians

00:11:18.220 was a maid who was told to raise Cruella from a young age.

00:11:21.400 That's what I learned on Wikipedia anyway.

00:11:22.780 So to recap, in the original film,

00:11:25.560 Cruella is evil and belongs in prison.

00:11:27.580 Pretty simple.

00:11:28.760 But in the remake, Cruella's mother killed Cruella's stepmother

00:11:32.080 using Dalmatians who could be ordered to commit murder via dog whistle.

00:11:35.000 And Cruella was horribly scarred by this.

00:11:36.820 So Cruella plots revenge against her own mother,

00:11:39.180 has the police arrest her,

00:11:40.120 and then gives some Dalmatians away as a gift to her friends.

00:11:42.460 And now she's conquered her, you know, Dalmatian phobia.

00:11:45.960 In other words, moral clarity, not to mention narrative clarity,

00:11:49.500 is completely absent from the remake.

00:11:53.500 The message for children in the remake is what exactly?

00:11:57.380 Is the message that your mother may not actually be your mother?

00:12:01.080 Maybe she's a secret murderer.

00:12:02.460 Or maybe the message is that evil characters

00:12:04.240 who are literally named the cruel devil are actually misunderstood.

00:12:07.860 Like the people who every indication is that they're evil.

00:12:13.920 Everything you see right down to the name is that they're evil.

00:12:20.240 Maybe they've simply internalized a lot of emotional trauma

00:12:23.000 from freak accidents that occurred in their past.

00:12:28.800 it was tempting to dismiss it as a terrible film,

00:12:59.340 and then they come out with a new film or show,

00:13:01.820 which makes the case that actually that character was the good guy all along.

00:13:04.580 I mean, this stuff is all over the place,

00:13:05.880 especially with kids' shows and movies.

00:13:08.380 All over the place.

00:13:10.200 The most recent example of this tactic

00:13:11.820 is the upcoming animated film Steps,

00:13:14.600 which is due out next year from Netflix, apparently.

00:13:17.560 It was just announced.

00:13:19.140 And here's how Netflix's official promotional blog

00:13:21.480 describes the idea behind this film.

00:13:23.300 This is a pitch that feels like it was produced by ChatGPT,

00:13:26.300 almost certainly was.

00:13:27.320 And then Netflix just hit the green light

00:13:30.420 without making any revisions whatsoever.
