The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 491 - The Shamelessness And Dishonesty Of Pro-Abortion Activists

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, pro-abortion activists are gloating today because of a

00:00:04.140 documentary that allegedly shows a prominent pro-life activist confessing, quote-unquote,

00:00:09.660 on her deathbed that she was paid by the pro-life cabal to pretend to be pro-life.

00:00:16.940 We'll take a look at this story. There's a lot of questions are raised. There's a lot of reason

00:00:21.120 to be skeptical, and we'll talk about that. Also, five headlines, including Planned Parenthood,

00:00:25.260 apparently stealing stimulus money that was supposed to go to small businesses, plus our

00:00:30.260 daily cancellation and some of your emails, much more, all of that coming up. But first,

00:00:34.940 a word from our good friends at Noom. In my experience, one-size-fits-all approaches just

00:00:42.520 don't work at all in any facet of life. I mean, you look even at one-size-fits-all clothing,

00:00:48.600 none of that stuff ever fits me. I'm a very oddly shaped sort of person, I've discovered.

00:00:53.240 And so if it's one-size-fits-all, it won't fit. That's especially true when it comes to

00:00:57.260 fitness and health and diet and exercise. With all the diet and exercise noise out there,

00:01:02.120 how do you know which one works for you? You decide what your goals are. That's what it should

00:01:07.380 be. And Noom is going to help you reach them. This is not a one-size-fits-all. This is a personalized

00:01:13.680 thing that's going to work specifically for you. Noom is not a diet. It's a healthy and easy to stick to

00:01:19.700 way of life. That's been my experience with it, certainly, is that it's, that's the main thing.

00:01:24.420 You can actually stick to it. You can form those good habits. It makes it a lot easier to form those

00:01:28.720 habits. You know, we're all strapped for time. We don't have all the time we want. And that's why

00:01:34.060 if you can only commit 10 minutes a day, then that's what it'll be. And Noom will make that work.

00:02:05.940 Okay, let's talk about this. 60 million, well, and we'll start with this. 60 million human beings

00:02:12.280 have been slaughtered by abortion since it was legalized in this country. It's no surprise that

00:02:18.900 the supporters of this massacre would lack ethical scruples, to put it mildly, which is why, you know,

00:02:28.720 I was disgusted, but certainly not surprised or shocked at all by this article in the Daily Beast

00:02:34.280 gloating about a documentary that supposedly shows Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade confessing on her deathbed

00:02:42.560 that her pro-life conversion was an act that she put on for money. Now, backing up for just a moment,

00:02:50.240 this is Norma McCorvey, aka Jane Roe. She was the woman at the center of the infamous legal case that led 1.00

00:02:58.760 to abortion being legalized across the country because the Supreme Court somehow discovered

00:03:05.000 within the Constitution this mythical right to an abortion. Actually, they found the mythical right

00:03:10.780 to an abortion by first locating the mythical right to privacy, which is also not in the Constitution.

00:03:19.880 And from there, they got to the right to abortion. Just a horrible legal decision that even if you're in

00:03:25.420 favor of abortion, if you're an honest person, you would have to look at that legal decision

00:03:28.720 and agree that there are a lot of problems with it. Well, it's well known that McCorvey, later in

00:03:36.380 life, had a change of heart and became an outspoken and prominent pro-life activist for many years.

00:03:44.400 So this wasn't like something that happened in the last six months of her life. This was for many years

00:03:48.320 in the later stage of her life, she was a pro-life activist. And this fact has always been a source

00:03:56.300 of heartburn for pro-abortion activists who were quite upset that they couldn't continue using her

00:04:02.240 to keep abortion legal the way that they had used her to get it illegal, to get it legal in the first 0.89

00:04:07.200 place. But it seems that they found a way to manipulate and exploit her again, even in death.

00:04:14.400 So according to the Daily Beast, this upcoming FX documentary titled A.K.A. Jane Rowe will show

00:04:23.340 McCorvey shortly before her death in a nursing home in 2017, claiming that her pro-life conversion

00:04:30.000 was all an act. She was acting the whole time. And supposedly she admits that pro-life operatives

00:04:37.560 paid her to lie for 20 years and pretend to be pro-life. This, of course, supposed revelation

00:04:46.360 has been met with all of the grotesque bragging and football spiking that you would expect from

00:04:52.680 people who, again, support and applaud the mass butcher of children, including, and many people,

00:04:58.800 many pro boards have jumped in on this, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sent out a tweet,

00:05:03.620 just thrilled with it and using this as an occasion to attack, quote unquote, right wingers and so on

00:05:09.940 and so forth. But there is good reason to be extremely skeptical. McCorvey was an elderly woman

00:05:16.700 hooked up to an oxygen tank in a nursing home at the time this documentary was filmed. I haven't seen

00:05:22.680 the documentary yet. Nobody has. It hasn't come out yet. But she was an elderly woman hooked up to a

00:05:28.120 nurse. She was in a nursing home, oxygen tank. And then the director of the documentary,

00:05:35.280 Nick Sweeney, shows up to interview her. Now, we should note that Sweeney is a far left radical

00:05:40.700 whose previous films include a BBC special celebrating transgender children. In fact, let me show you the

00:05:48.380 preview, a little clip of that documentary, just so you can get, you get a feel for this guy,

00:05:55.000 Nick Sweeney, and what he's all about. So just go ahead and watch this.

00:06:02.160 The medicine is so that she doesn't go through male puberty. 0.96

00:06:09.460 You know, one step closer to being like a full woman.

00:06:12.740 How do you make these kinds of decisions for a 12-year-old kid? She could be sterile and it rips the heart out of you.

00:06:26.400 Sometimes I think, is it the right thing to be transgender? Should I just be a boy? Should I just not be who I am?

00:06:33.460 When I got up on stage, I just felt...

00:06:43.320 Even if they hate me, I'm not changing who I am. I'm becoming who I am.

00:06:53.520 Isn't that great? You got a boy there being drugged by his mother,

00:06:55.980 chemically castrated. You know, Nick Sweeney's filming it.

00:07:00.460 It's inspirational music in the background.

00:07:03.600 This is somebody with an agenda. This is a, like I said, a far left radical

00:07:08.100 with an agenda talking to an old, dying, and clearly troubled woman. 0.98

00:07:13.140 That's the context.

00:07:15.100 So more context.

00:07:16.760 Another figure who features prominently, apparently, in the documentary

00:07:20.320 is a guy named Reverend Rob Schenck.

00:07:24.140 And he's an evangelical minister who had his own conversion experience several years ago,

00:07:28.780 except in this case, it was the opposite.

00:07:30.380 He went from being a pro-life activist to a staunch defender of abortion.

00:07:36.000 And right now, he continues to be a minister, quote unquote.

00:07:42.680 But now he's against overturning Roe v. Wade.

00:07:46.320 He says that overturning Roe v. Wade would cause chaos and pain.

00:07:50.700 This is a minister saying this.

00:07:53.260 And he's another guy that's involved in this documentary.

00:07:55.900 It's interviewed in the documentary.

00:07:56.900 So to reiterate, this is not an objective piece of work dispassionately documenting

00:08:01.680 an old woman's honest confession.

00:08:04.400 This is far left propaganda.

00:08:06.180 And so the appropriate portions of salt must be taken alongside it.

00:08:09.680 It's important to realize that McCorvey's pro-life transition happened over the course of several

00:08:17.140 years.

00:08:18.420 If she was acting, then this was method acting that would put Daniel Day-Lewis to shame.

00:08:23.080 This would be someone who spent years and years developing her act and keeping it going, 0.99

00:08:30.100 even in private.

00:08:30.780 Because many people who knew McCorvey personally have come forward to say that she spoke passionately

00:08:37.700 about her pro-life convictions in private all the time.

00:08:43.100 So was that all part of her act?

00:08:46.240 Or maybe these people are in on the conspiracy.

00:08:48.600 I don't know.

00:08:50.320 Speaking of conspiracies, who are these nefarious pro-lifers who conspired with McCorvey to pretend

00:08:55.960 to be pro-life for 20 years?

00:08:57.540 I have been in the pro-life movement myself for many years, and I'm not aware of any smoky

00:09:02.780 back rooms where these kinds of plots are hatched.

00:09:05.400 Now, it's possible that I've never been invited to them, or maybe I'm in on it, and I'm just

00:09:09.200 saying it for that reason.

00:09:09.920 Maybe I'm being paid too.

00:09:10.860 Who knows?

00:09:14.520 In fact, the Daily Beast even mentions that McCorvey, as part of her conversion to Catholicism,

00:09:20.520 which coincided with her conversion to being pro-life, I mean, all of this came together,

00:09:25.720 she eventually broke off her romantic relationship with another woman that she was having.

00:09:30.920 She struggled with same-sex attraction for her entire life, and the Daily Beast even says

00:09:36.340 that she talked about this struggle in, quote, anguished interviews.

00:09:41.480 So was that all an act too?

00:09:44.100 I mean, did this woman dedicate decades of her life to some sort of bizarre, conservative 0.86

00:09:49.200 satire act?

00:09:50.320 Is that what this is?

00:09:51.000 That's what you would have to believe in order to take the deathbed confession story at face

00:09:55.760 value.

00:09:57.280 McCorvey would have had to have lied about almost everything to almost everyone for decades.

00:10:05.380 And for what?

00:10:07.620 Some money from a non-existent pro-life conspiratorial cabal?

00:10:13.060 I mean, the thing is, if this was someone who's just a mercenary in it for money, then she

00:10:19.920 could have made a lot more as a pro-abortion figurehead.

00:10:24.340 I mean, if that's what this is about, she made a pretty serious miscalculation.

00:10:30.760 Planned Parenthood, Guttmacher Institute, NOW, NARAL, these are pro-abortion organizations

00:10:37.120 that have a lot of money to throw around.

00:10:38.700 And they've got a lot more money to throw around than pro-life organizations do.

00:10:43.200 I can tell you that right now.

00:10:46.380 So if she was just in it for the money, then she didn't need to fake being pro-life to make

00:10:51.760 money off the abortion issue.

00:10:53.920 She could have done it on the other side and made a lot more. 1.00

00:10:57.300 So the whole idea is just plainly absurd.

00:10:59.200 Well, then what do we make of this claim that she apparently made on film, that she was acting

00:11:07.660 the whole time and was paid off?

00:11:09.400 Well, I don't know.

00:11:10.420 Maybe it's true.

00:11:11.320 You know, maybe Jane Roe, Norma McCorvey, was a very dedicated performance artist.

00:11:16.640 It's possible.

00:11:18.480 Or maybe she was a confused old woman being manipulated by pro-abortion activists. 1.00

00:11:23.260 That also, I think, is very possible and quite a bit more possible.

00:11:28.920 Or maybe some other explanation.

00:11:31.100 You know, who knows?

00:11:32.720 Of course, in the end, none of this has any effect on the reality of abortion.

00:11:38.620 Whether she was really pro-life or not, and I think she was, it doesn't have any effect

00:11:45.380 on whether abortion is right or wrong.

00:11:47.080 And, of course, it is wrong.

00:11:49.640 Because the reality of abortion is what I said at the top.

00:11:52.280 It is an act of violence against the innocent.

00:11:55.680 And 60 million innocents have died because of it.

00:12:00.140 Whatever Norma McCorvey did or didn't think, abortion is a hideous evil. 1.00

00:12:04.260 And the transparent attempt to exploit an old woman, who is now dead and unavailable for 0.96

00:12:08.400 comment, is also hideously evil.

00:12:11.640 But these people will just stop at nothing.

00:12:14.400 And one other point about this that I was just thinking about, you know, when you talk

00:12:19.480 about deathbed conversions or confessions, one or the other, usually people on the left

00:12:25.760 are very skeptical of these kinds of stories because you hear them a lot on the other side.

00:12:31.980 So just one example I would give you.

00:12:35.060 A philosopher by the name of Anthony Flew, who died a few years ago.

00:12:39.940 And he was an atheist philosopher, a very outspoken atheist for many, many years.

00:12:47.180 Well, towards the end of his life, in the last couple of years of his life, he converted

00:12:52.140 and wrote a book saying that there is a God.

00:12:59.180 Now, he didn't become a Christian. 0.75

00:13:01.700 He didn't believe in the Abrahamic God.

00:13:03.620 He became basically a deist.

00:13:05.140 But still, really significant.

00:13:08.740 And like I said, he published, it wasn't just a documentary.

00:13:10.960 He published an entire book laying out his arguments.

00:13:14.800 Well, at the time, many atheists, and, you know, not everyone that's an atheist is on the left,

00:13:20.560 but there's a lot of crossover there, of course.

00:13:24.060 Many atheists refused to believe it.

00:13:25.740 And in fact, there was an entire article, a very long, lengthy article written in, I think,

00:13:31.220 the New York Times Magazine, claiming or arguing that this conversion was false and that he was

00:13:40.140 an old man, his mental faculties declining, and he was manipulated by Christians, by evangelicals, 0.98

00:13:48.040 who, you know, took advantage of the fact that he was basically senile.

00:13:51.380 And that was the claim.

00:13:53.480 And there are a lot of atheists who said that about Anthony Flew.

00:13:57.020 I don't know if that's true or not.

00:13:58.760 And in fact, I read his book.

00:14:01.820 I believe the book is called Why There Is a God, you know.

00:14:05.340 And I have to admit that I was, it even struck me as a little bit weird.

00:14:10.840 Because this was a, you know, a very intelligent philosopher, very rigorous philosophical mind.

00:14:17.260 I'd read some of his atheist work that he'd done.

00:14:19.700 And then I read his book, this dramatic conversion, or not really conversion, but a change of mind.

00:14:26.960 And it wasn't as philosophically rigorous as I would have thought that it would have been.

00:14:32.320 And so it did strike me as a little bit strange.

00:14:34.940 I'm not saying that I think he was manipulated by dastardly Christians who convinced him. 1.00

00:14:38.400 So, you know, I don't know.

00:14:40.000 I don't know what happened.

00:14:40.800 But it did strike me that this is a guy, lived his whole life, was very articulate in his defense of an idea that I happen to disagree with.

00:14:49.020 And then at the very end of his life, while his, you know, potentially his mental faculties are declining, he has this change of mind and then he dies.

00:14:58.520 But on that, you know, you've got atheists saying, I don't know if I buy it. 1.00

00:15:02.940 Even though he said it, I don't know if I buy it.

00:15:04.700 It seems like there's something else going on here.

00:15:06.640 Maybe there was, maybe there wasn't.

00:15:08.780 Well, now we look at this and just watch as a lot of those same people are going to take it at face value and say, oh, well, she said it.

00:15:16.000 So that's it.

00:15:17.440 You see, this proves not only was she a pro-abortion the entire time, but it proves something about the pro-life movement.

00:15:23.900 That the pro-life movement is some sort of, as I said, conspiratorial regime that pays people to pretend to be pro-life.

00:15:32.560 All right.

00:15:34.120 So double standards all over the place.

00:15:35.960 Let's go to headlines.

00:15:37.380 Number one, staying on the theme for a moment, 37 Planned Parenthood affiliates filed for a combined $80 million in loans from the Paycheck Protection Program during the coronavirus.

00:15:48.000 They did actually receive the money.

00:15:49.720 Now the government says they want the money back.

00:15:51.240 This was all originally reported by Tucker Carlson.

00:15:54.340 The Small Business Administration is saying that they never should have received any money or applied for it because organizations with over 500 employees don't qualify because they're not small businesses.

00:16:05.920 Planned Parenthood has thousands of employees.

00:16:09.020 They're very far from this is a this is a billion dollar organization with thousands of employees doesn't qualify as a small business.

00:16:16.980 And Planned Parenthood would have known this, of course, they knew what the rules were.

00:16:22.760 I knew what the rules were just from following the news.

00:16:25.120 So this would seem to be a deliberate attempt to scam the system, which is no surprise coming from Planned Parenthood.

00:16:32.180 And this is what I was trying to say about the McCorvey thing.

00:16:34.780 You have to understand that abortion activists, people in the abortion industry are extraordinarily dishonest all the time.

00:16:45.200 You cannot trust a word they say about anything.

00:16:48.940 They just lie, lie, lie all the time.

00:16:52.880 And anyone with any experience dealing with these people knows this.

00:16:55.760 And here they are trying to scam the system during a pandemic to bilk millions of dollars out of the government that should have gone to small businesses.

00:17:05.120 They already get half a billion dollars a year from the government.

00:17:08.640 Man, that's not enough.

00:17:09.420 They need another 80 million.

00:17:11.520 Number two, this seems like pretty big news.

00:17:13.400 NASA scientists may have discovered evidence of a parallel universe where time runs backwards.

00:17:20.440 Kind of feels now like we're living in that parallel universe.

00:17:22.760 Maybe the two have merged or something.

00:17:24.380 The Daily Wire reports, scientists at the National Aeronautic Space Administration have conducted a series of cosmic ray detection experiments which have found particles that could be from outside the universe.

00:17:36.380 So quoting now the Daily Star, NASA's Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna uses a giant balloon to haul delicate electronic antennas high into the cold, dry air above Antarctica where there is little or no radio noise to distort the findings.

00:17:52.040 There is a constant wind of high energy particles coming from outer space, some of which are millions of times more powerful than anything we generate ourselves.

00:17:59.680 Low energy particles, neutrinos, can pass completely through the Earth, barely interacting with the substance of our planet at all.

00:18:05.540 But higher energy particles are stopped by the reassuringly solid matter of Earth.

00:18:10.220 That means that high energy particles can only be detected coming down from outer space.

00:18:14.620 To detect a heavier particle, a tau neutrino coming up out of the Earth would imply that these particles are actually traveling backwards in time.

00:18:21.700 And that is exactly what the Anita scientists have said. 0.88

00:18:23.800 The findings suggest evidence of a parallel universe.

00:18:26.240 Okay.

00:18:26.800 Does that make sense?

00:18:28.720 It does to me.

00:18:30.280 I mean, I understood everything I just read there.

00:18:32.100 Basically, to recap, the high energy thingies are doing something.

00:18:46.020 Okay.

00:18:46.540 And there's this big balloon that, you know, is involved.

00:18:50.260 And anyway, then we discovered a parallel universe.

00:18:54.080 So that's just breaking it down in layman's terms.

00:18:57.340 Pretty big news.

00:18:58.180 Number three, and Michigan's governor, Governor Karen, also known as Gretchen Whitmer, is in talks to be Joe Biden's vice president, apparently.

00:19:07.320 She revealed that on the Today Show.

00:19:09.460 And talking about it publicly was, of course, her way of angling for the role.

00:19:15.320 Now, this is really something else.

00:19:18.220 Whitmer is quite possibly the most hated woman in America right now. 1.00

00:19:24.200 I can't think of who would beat her for that trophy. 1.00

00:19:30.820 I mean, maybe Nancy Pelosi. 0.82

00:19:32.120 I don't know.

00:19:33.520 But I think, no.

00:19:34.080 Right now, it's Whitmer.

00:19:35.180 So Biden is considering bringing on board his ticket a woman who is so despised that there have been protests against her in her home state like every day for two months. 0.98

00:19:45.180 Brilliant.

00:19:45.540 So it's either it's either her or Stacey Abrams, Stacey Abrams, a woman with no political talent, no achievements of any kind. 0.84

00:19:54.320 So those are that's what we've narrowed it down to.

00:19:56.500 Those two.

00:19:57.100 If I were a woman, which I could be, you know, you never know. 1.00

00:20:01.180 I would feel pretty insulted right now that Biden has committed himself to picking a woman, which is already stupid and patronizing enough. 0.99

00:20:08.480 And then these are the two that he's narrowing it down to. 0.99

00:20:12.860 You really couldn't.

00:20:14.600 I mean, you literally couldn't pick worse candidates than these two.

00:20:18.400 Number four, but I think it's a great idea, let me just say.

00:20:23.880 And I hope that Biden picks Gretchen Whitmer.

00:20:27.600 Number four, and an update on this important story.

00:20:30.780 As we covered yesterday, Nancy Pelosi said that Trump is morbidly obese.

00:20:34.660 We talked about that yesterday. 0.99

00:20:36.220 Well, Trump responded, as we knew he would, by saying that Pelosi has mental problems. 0.53

00:20:41.020 And now Pelosi has come back and said that Trump is too sensitive. 0.90

00:20:43.940 And I can't even keep talking about this.

00:20:48.580 Good Lord.

00:20:49.160 We are governed by sixth graders.

00:20:51.580 This is what political disputes have come down to. 1.00

00:20:57.900 You're fat. 1.00

00:20:59.100 Noah, you're crazy. 1.00

00:21:00.500 Stop being sensitive. 1.00

00:21:01.680 I'm telling mommy.

00:21:04.180 You know, it can be interesting to go back and read, for example, the Lincoln-Douglas debates in 1958 or whenever that was.

00:21:12.700 Or read about, you know, just read in general about the disputes between politicians 100 years ago, 150 years ago.

00:21:19.620 And you see that there was, you know, often very intense disputes and exchanges, obviously.

00:21:27.320 I mean, we fought a war over some of those disputes, and 600,000 people died.

00:21:32.100 And so this whole idea that politics are more partisan, more divided, more hostile now than they've ever been, that, of course, is crazy.

00:21:41.840 This is child's play in more ways than one compared to what it's been in the past. 0.99

00:21:45.940 But when you read some of this stuff, there was an eloquence and an intelligence and a depth there, even in dispute, where now it's gone to, you're fat, no, you're crazy. 0.98

00:22:03.960 Okay, number five.

00:22:04.780 If a Kentucky convenience store landed itself in hot water when a sign posted on the window went viral, the sign says, here's what the sign says, or said, rather, because it's been taken down.

00:22:14.480 No face masks allowed in the store.

00:22:16.220 Lower your mask or go somewhere else.

00:22:17.780 Stop listening to Bashir. 1.00

00:22:19.160 He's a dumbass. 1.00

00:22:21.080 Bashir is the governor. 1.00

00:22:22.920 Now, I love that sign personally.

00:22:25.480 And, you know, because I'm a sixth grader, too.

00:22:28.520 So now someone posted this to Facebook explicitly to shame the business for putting the sign up.

00:22:35.400 And eventually the business owner relented somewhat and said that, okay, he's not going to turn you away if you have a mask, but you don't have to wear one.

00:22:42.220 This goes back to what I've been saying about the mask issue, which is I think it should be totally up to the business, their property, their rules.

00:22:48.380 That's my take on it.

00:22:49.300 If this business owner doesn't want face masks, that should be his right.

00:22:54.400 Don't like it?

00:22:55.140 Go somewhere else.

00:22:55.740 Like the sign says.

00:22:56.480 He should have as much a right to require that you not wear face masks as any other business should have to require that you do wear face masks.

00:23:05.060 And the thing is, it's not like there isn't a very logical reason to ban face masks.

00:23:13.520 Just if you want to go to Google and Google surgical mask and theft or surgical mask and robbery.

00:23:21.520 And you'll see tons of recent examples of people who have taken advantage of the face mask policies to rob stores or shoplift or steal.

00:23:31.200 And of course that's going to happen.

00:23:33.140 I think about this every time I go into a store now and everybody is in a disguise.

00:23:38.940 Okay, you've got everybody in the store is in a disguise.

00:23:42.260 This has to be hell on earth for loss prevention departments.

00:23:45.980 How are they supposed to?

00:23:47.660 What are they supposed to do?

00:23:48.600 How are they supposed to stop people from stealing?

00:23:51.760 Yeah, I mean, we have we have it's it's as if we have turned off all the security cameras in every store in America.

00:23:58.660 That's the effect because everybody's in masks and there are there's also no uniformity to the masks.

00:24:05.500 So I've seen people walking in with like, you know, motorcycle helmets on or, you know, I mean, we've all seen this.

00:24:16.480 A lot of people just with bandanas around their face, literally like stagecoach robbers.

00:24:22.320 They're walking into stores.

00:24:23.500 And those bandanas, by the way, you've got a bandana tied around your face and it's like hanging down like this.

00:24:30.020 Right.

00:24:30.340 You know, like the classic bank robber or stagecoach robber.

00:24:33.640 That's going to that's a very good way to disguise your identity.

00:24:37.380 But what the hell is that going to do to stop a virus from getting it?

00:24:40.780 I mean, you've got you've got all this area right down here.

00:24:43.620 I mean, the thing is just hanging down.

00:24:46.820 Airflow is not restricted at all.

00:24:49.060 So I don't know how that's supposed to stop you from getting the virus or from transmitting it.

00:24:55.000 It doesn't seem like there's that's going to have any effect whatsoever.

00:24:59.860 But again, it is a good disguise.

00:25:02.020 And so this is what stores are dealing with.

00:25:03.900 And that's why.

00:25:05.740 Companies should be allowed to make their own decisions.

00:25:08.880 You know, about about there are a lot of risks that have to be balanced.

00:25:14.360 You know, there's a risk of the coronavirus.

00:25:17.340 Yeah.

00:25:17.480 But then there's also the risk of having a bunch of people in disguises in your store able to steal, you know.

00:25:24.460 On a win.

00:25:25.740 OK, let's go to your daily cancellation now for daily cancellation.

00:25:28.380 We're canceling any and all Democrats who use phrases like believe in science.

00:25:34.180 And for the latest example, here's Joe Biden on Twitter.

00:25:37.100 He says we need a president who believes in science.

00:25:39.520 Very simple.

00:25:41.180 And that's got, you know, over 280,000 likes, people cheering it on.

00:25:44.920 Yes, believe in science.

00:25:46.800 Now, I agree with the sentiment.

00:25:50.380 My issue is not with the sentiment itself.

00:25:52.580 I, you know, I don't want someone running the country who doesn't believe in science.

00:25:57.860 But the problem is that the guy saying this, Joe Biden, is a Democrat. 0.51

00:26:03.020 And what that means is that he believes a man can get pregnant and that women have penises and that a human being five seconds before birth is not a person and potentially isn't even a human. 0.98

00:26:19.760 OK, that's what he believes. 0.98

00:26:23.600 And we know that any Democrat on the national stage.

00:26:28.740 And almost any Democrat anywhere, national stage or not, believes all of those things I just listed, or at least will pretend to believe them, will claim that they believe them.

00:26:40.500 And, you know, you're entitled to those beliefs.

00:26:43.560 You're entitled to embarrass yourself by going around saying it.

00:26:49.700 But you're not entitled to pretend that you support science.

00:26:54.920 These people think that men can get pregnant. 1.00

00:26:57.660 And they still have the cojones, pun intended, to go around claiming that they believe in science. 0.91

00:27:06.340 This is the most anti-science, the modern Democratic Party is the most anti-science political party in American history, bar none.

00:27:17.680 OK, there have been different anti or non-scientific notions that have been popular throughout history, but nothing like this.

00:27:27.800 In fact, you could go back even to ancient times when people knew almost nothing about the world.

00:27:33.880 You know, they thought that the sun orbits the earth, that there was only one solar system in the whole universe.

00:27:39.140 You know, maybe some of them thought the earth was flat, so on and so forth.

00:27:42.660 They thought that there were like demons under the ground shaking the earth during an earthquake.

00:27:46.940 All of that, and they could be excused for thinking all that because they didn't have modern science.

00:27:50.820 They didn't have the tools that we have.

00:27:52.320 Even they knew that men can't get pregnant. 1.00

00:27:55.940 I mean, they knew that much at least.

00:27:59.080 Now, in modern times, we have all the scientific tools at our disposal.

00:28:01.980 And now we have this insanely anti-scientific notion that has taken hold in the mainstream of the Democratic Party.

00:28:11.920 And if you're going to say that, then you can't pretend to support science.

00:28:15.180 And it just, it continues to amaze me, although it shouldn't, that we have these prominent politicians

00:28:22.080 who believe, again, that men can get pregnant, and they're never asked about it.

00:28:28.920 But they are never even asked to explain that point of view, to justify it, to explain how they arrived at that point of view.

00:28:41.060 Never asked.

00:28:41.720 I mean, not one, I haven't seen it at one debate.

00:28:47.220 Just posing it to the Democrats.

00:28:49.280 So, you believe men can get pregnant. 0.82

00:28:51.320 Tell me about that.

00:28:52.420 That's all.

00:28:52.880 Just set them up.

00:28:54.000 And I want to hear one of these people, just give me like two minutes on that.

00:29:00.320 Just talk about that idea of men getting pregnant for two minutes. 0.96

00:29:03.820 Explain that.

00:29:04.540 I don't even need a follow-up.

00:29:07.640 I just need the original.

00:29:09.180 They're not asked.

00:29:09.900 Because, of course, it can't be justified.

00:29:12.420 And the media knows that.

00:29:13.380 That's why they don't ask it.

00:29:14.640 But that's why they can't claim to believe in science.

00:29:17.400 So, all of that is canceled.

00:29:18.600 We're going to go, finally, to emails.

00:29:20.500 And you can email the show if you become a Daily Wire member, have access to the mailbag.

00:29:24.660 Let's go to this email from Daniel.

00:29:26.700 It says, dear Matt, I understand you keep bees, and your wife is a chicken farmer,

00:29:30.380 which means you both have hobbies.

00:29:32.180 You also have a huge family.

00:29:33.980 How do you guys do it?

00:29:34.960 My wife and I dated for four years before we were married,

00:29:37.140 and now we have a perfectly healthy one-year-old that we love with all of our hearts.

00:29:40.460 Since our son was born, there has been a new conflict between us.

00:29:43.220 I was in a band for years when we were dating and had to give that up when our son was born.

00:29:47.420 It bothered my wife that I left once a week to rehearse.

00:29:49.800 I travel a lot for work as well, so I agreed that a band was just too much to take on at this time.

00:29:54.380 It was a hard choice for me to make, but it was a logical decision to quit,

00:29:57.760 especially because we have conflicting work schedules.

00:30:00.780 Podcasting is something I've always wanted to do,

00:30:02.440 and I figured I could do it from home.

00:30:04.160 I asked my wife for a few hours once a week to prepare and record episodes. 0.99

00:30:08.720 She first agreed, but backpedals when I take her up on her word.

00:30:11.880 I feel like I can't have a hobby at all,

00:30:13.980 and I have always been someone that feels the need to create art.

00:30:16.920 Music or comedy doesn't matter.

00:30:18.620 My wife doesn't have any hobbies. 0.99

00:30:20.420 The way she sees it, the baby is the only thing that matters.

00:30:23.840 What should I do?

00:30:24.680 Am I selfish for wanting me time?

00:30:26.400 It's hard not to feel guilty about my wants when it seems my wife doesn't even need her alone time.

00:30:31.500 It's a confusing time for me.

00:30:33.620 Okay, Daniel.

00:30:34.220 Well, no, you're not selfish.

00:30:36.140 I'm sure your wife is feeling overwhelmed right now, which is understandable.

00:30:39.380 You guys are pretty new to the parenting gig.

00:30:45.760 And congratulations, by the way, on the baby.

00:30:48.140 But trust me, in the long run, she'll be happy if you have interests and hobbies and talents that you've cultivated.

00:30:54.720 It makes you a more interesting person.

00:30:57.780 It makes you happier.

00:30:59.360 It makes you more well-rounded.

00:31:02.520 And those are all things that wives appreciate in their husbands and husbands and their wives and people and people generally.

00:31:08.120 So this is not a selfish pursuit.

00:31:10.180 I think in the long run, you know, she, if because she's overwhelmed right now, she's trying to stop you from having other interests,

00:31:20.360 I think in the long run she would regret that.

00:31:22.420 Now, the truth is, if I'm just being frank about it, that your wife, based on if you have presented it in an accurate way, okay,

00:31:33.600 which I'm not accusing you of lying, but then again, you know, in disputes, people can sometimes tend to see it their own way and not the other person's way.

00:31:40.520 But if the way you're presenting it is completely accurate, then your wife is the one being selfish right now. 0.87

00:31:45.940 Okay.

00:31:47.360 If it's true that she doesn't want you to do anything or have any fun outside of being with her and the kid,

00:31:51.720 then yes, that is certainly selfish.

00:31:53.980 And you should communicate that.

00:31:56.740 You know, maybe not in the way that I am right now, but in your own way.

00:32:01.980 So if I were you, I would say something like, listen, honey,

00:32:05.560 I need to have some time to myself to do these things that I enjoy and are important to me.

00:32:10.280 I'm going to take that time because there's no reason that I shouldn't.

00:32:14.300 Okay.

00:32:14.480 So I'm just, I'm going to do it.

00:32:17.360 I will be more than happy to give you your own time as well.

00:32:20.820 I think you need to have some time too.

00:32:22.600 And I will be more than happy to make sure that you get that time also.

00:32:25.600 But I am, I'm going to take the time.

00:32:28.860 So, you know, I'm just, I'm a big believer of being honest in a marriage.

00:32:31.700 I'm also a big believer in spouses giving each other time to themselves to pursue their own interests and be their own people.

00:32:39.080 You know, I think that's really important.

00:32:41.780 And I'm always kind of shocked when I see these marriages where that doesn't happen, which I guess is kind of common, I suppose.

00:32:49.000 So that's my take on it.

00:32:50.580 And by the way, the idea that you can't play music because you have a kid is pretty crazy in my view.

00:32:54.700 I mean, why shouldn't you?

00:32:55.440 Like I've mentioned before, one of my other hobbies is fishing.

00:33:00.020 I like to fish.

00:33:01.100 And I've talked to many guys who will say about fishing.

00:33:05.940 I loved doing that before I got married or before I had kids.

00:33:08.200 But of course, now that I have kids, I can't do it anymore.

00:33:11.360 Or, you know, and you hear that about insert any other hobby, fishing, brewing beer, playing basketball, playing music, whatever it is.

00:33:19.040 And you hear that and I think, well, what do you mean you can't do it anymore now that you have kids?

00:33:22.740 Why can't you?

00:33:23.560 I mean, just because you have kids doesn't mean literally every single second of the day that you're not working, you have to spend watching the kids.

00:33:34.580 Like there are two of you in the marriage.

00:33:36.820 It's one of the advantages of having a marriage.

00:33:38.940 And so there's absolutely no reason why you guys can't give each other breaks.

00:33:42.660 And you should do it.

00:33:44.960 One, for your own sanity.

00:33:46.760 And two, also so that you can pass these interests and passions on to your kids.

00:33:54.520 You know, if you, and that's one thing about, about one, one difference I've noticed about men and women, in men and women, is that, you know, women will tend to do things with the kids that the kids enjoy, which is great.

00:34:08.960 You know, a kid, a woman's going to get down on the kid's level and play games with them that they enjoy, which is, and kids need that, which is why they need a mom. 1.00

00:34:17.460 Dads are more likely to incorporate a kid into something that we enjoy.

00:34:22.560 And I think kids also need that.

00:34:27.020 And so if you like to fish, then you're going to bring the kid fishing.

00:34:29.400 The kid's going to become and is going to get better at that and is going to like that.

00:34:32.480 If you like music, then you incorporate the kid, your child in that.

00:34:35.520 And your child will become a great musician in short time because you are.

00:34:39.880 And that's one of the blessings and gifts that you can give your kid.

00:34:43.160 But you have to maintain your own interests and cultivate your own skills and talents so that you can pass that on to your kid.

00:34:49.300 That's one of the advantages of doing that.

00:34:50.580 So that's my take on it.

00:34:52.640 All right.

00:34:52.920 From Shalom says, my future dictator and saver, I saw a speech of yours on YouTube.

00:34:57.600 In the video, it looks like you're sweating and the audience are trying to cool themselves down.

00:35:02.100 I just want to know what's the story behind this and what will there be any punishment when your day of glory comes?

00:35:07.580 Yes.

00:35:08.200 I got so many questions about this over the last year.

00:35:11.520 There is a YouTube video of me out there sweating profusely, more than normal,

00:35:17.440 where I'm giving a speech and just like pouring sweat.

00:35:20.580 OK, and that was my speech at Baylor last year.

00:35:24.840 Some people may remember, even though Baylor is a Christian university,

00:35:27.400 there was a lot of pushback and me going to the university.

00:35:29.980 A lot of people didn't want me there, especially.

00:35:31.540 It seems like the powers that be in the university didn't want me there.

00:35:34.560 Some of the students didn't want me there.

00:35:36.020 I showed up anyway.

00:35:37.200 I gave the speech.

00:35:37.860 It was a great turnout.

00:35:39.360 But they never turned on the AC in the room.

00:35:43.100 It was blistering out.

00:35:44.100 It was like 85 degrees in there, a small room in Texas.

00:35:47.420 OK, I think this was in May.

00:35:48.520 And he had all these people packed in there.

00:35:52.260 No AC is turned on.

00:35:54.420 And so it's really hot.

00:35:55.920 And yeah, I'm just like sweating through the entire thing.

00:35:58.700 And everybody else in the room is sweating, too.

00:36:00.060 Now, I wouldn't necessarily claim that this was a deliberate thing the university did,

00:36:08.400 except for the fact that as soon as my speech ended, the AC kicked back on.

00:36:14.680 I mean, my speech ended.

00:36:17.280 And with the speech at Q&A, it was an hour.

00:36:20.040 No AC.

00:36:21.140 Speech ends.

00:36:21.960 I'm walking out.

00:36:22.880 And boom, the AC kicks on.

00:36:24.520 So, yes, I believe that it was deliberate.

00:36:28.240 I have enough experience with these universities and giving speeches to know deliberate stuff

00:36:34.680 when I see it, because very often it's this weird coincidence where if I'm going to a university

00:36:40.980 and there's pushback and I hear that the university doesn't want me there, very often when I get

00:36:46.920 there, there are all these weird little things that go wrong.

00:36:48.960 What a strange quiz is this.

00:36:50.920 Like I went to Notre Dame and weirdly enough, the university couldn't find a microphone for me.

00:36:57.440 On the entire campus, couldn't find them.

00:36:59.100 There was no microphone available on the entire campus that night.

00:37:03.020 How strange, you know?

00:37:05.220 And so I had to give the speech to like, you know, again, a big crowd in a room, no microphone.

00:37:09.720 I had to shout the entire thing.

00:37:10.920 So, but, you know, you power through it anyway.

00:37:14.760 And these are just petty little things that people do.

00:37:18.960 And finally, this is from Taylor, says, hi, Matt, thank you for the show.

00:37:21.840 I just want to say that I agree with you about the left's double standard.

00:37:24.320 But honestly, Tara Reade does not seem credible to me.

00:37:27.300 And some of the things that have come out about her do make me question her claims.

00:37:30.580 I hate Joe Biden as much as the next conservative, but I think he's being unfairly targeted here.

00:37:34.740 And we shouldn't go along with it.

00:37:37.620 Yeah, I think that there's plenty of reasons to doubt Tara Reade, starting with, as I said yesterday,

00:37:43.480 and as I've said all along, the very fact that someone is coming out 30 years later, 25 years

00:37:51.460 later, however long it's been, you know, decades later, never said this publicly, finally comes

00:37:59.520 out in the middle of a political campaign or in the middle of a Supreme Court hearing or,

00:38:04.800 you know, as soon as this person, whoever it is, is all over the news. 0.98

00:38:08.500 Now you come out and say, hey, by the way, they raped me 30 years ago.

00:38:14.360 Doesn't mean it's not true, but that alone is a reason to be skeptical.

00:38:17.720 So I agree with you there.

00:38:18.640 And then you read all this other stuff and some of her former co-workers have come out

00:38:23.020 and said that, you know, and said basically she was terminally dishonest and all these other

00:38:29.520 things.

00:38:31.800 Yeah, I think all that stuff is relevant in evaluating these claims.

00:38:35.280 It goes to her credibility.

00:38:36.200 So I think there is reason to be skeptical.

00:38:39.700 However, you say that Joe Biden is being unfairly targeted.

00:38:44.660 I don't think it is unfair in his case.

00:38:47.000 And I'll tell you why.

00:38:48.500 Because this is his own standard.

00:38:51.540 I don't think it could be unfair to apply someone's own standard back to them.

00:38:57.060 He is the one who said, believe all women.

00:39:00.980 Or, okay, maybe that wasn't his exact phrase because we learned this yesterday.

00:39:04.220 We have to be specific.

00:39:05.680 What he said, his exact wording was that when a woman makes a claim, we should start with 0.93

00:39:13.460 the assumption that the essence of what she's saying is true.

00:39:16.600 That's what he said.

00:39:18.520 Okay.

00:39:19.080 Which, in other words, believe women. 0.63

00:39:21.800 Well, that was his standard.

00:39:23.320 And he said that in reference to Kavanaugh.

00:39:25.160 And we know the reason he said it was just because he was trying to tear down Kavanaugh.

00:39:28.740 He was taking part in the Kavanaugh lynch mob.

00:39:31.680 So we know that's why he said it.

00:39:32.880 But that was the standard that he set.

00:39:35.260 And so to apply that back to him, I think that's the essence of fairness.

00:39:41.240 Now, I don't think that that's the way it should work in a court of law.

00:39:45.600 So, you know, if this were to get into the courts, which it never will, I think the presumption

00:39:50.400 of innocence obviously still applies.

00:39:53.200 But just in terms of the peanut gallery evaluating this, no, sorry, I'm not going to, yeah, I

00:39:58.380 mean, I'm not going to pretend that I think this is 100% true.

00:40:02.180 I'm not going to lie about it myself and be dishonest the way that Joe Biden is.

00:40:06.180 But am I going to go to the bat, go to bat defending him?

00:40:09.680 No, why would I?

00:40:11.360 He's the one who said he, he, he is the one who said how he thinks these cases should be

00:40:15.500 viewed.

00:40:16.880 And so as far as I'm concerned, all right, I mean, if I'll step back and let that standard

00:40:24.660 be applied to him, because that's what he said.

00:40:28.700 So no, I think it would be unfair.

00:40:32.460 Actually, I mean, arguably, it's unfair to Joe Biden.

00:40:34.540 And if he's the one who said that, you know, he thinks we should give the benefit of the

00:40:38.300 doubt to the woman, it's what he wants.

00:40:41.180 We can't turn around and give him the benefit of the doubt.

00:40:43.700 That's disrespectful to his wishes.

00:40:46.420 And I'm being facetious, of course, but I think, you know, if a person ends up falling

00:40:52.660 on their own sword to get a dose of their own medicine, I don't see that as unfair.

00:40:58.880 You know, I see it as sort of a cosmic justice.

00:41:01.080 But of course, there's not going to be any cosmic justice in this case, because he's

00:41:05.860 not going to have his own standard applied back to him because of the double standard

00:41:09.680 on the left.

00:41:10.300 And so he's going to, you know, he has survived this fine.

00:41:14.140 And I think it's not going to really have any effect.

00:41:17.400 If Joe Biden loses in the general election, which I think is a very good chance he will,

00:41:21.420 it will be because he's a senile man losing his mind.

00:41:24.400 And people are uncomfortable with that.

00:41:25.660 Which really, putting everything else aside, that's enough reason to not vote for him.

00:41:30.720 Thanks for the email.

00:41:31.640 And we will wrap it up there.

00:41:33.300 Thanks for watching, everybody.

00:41:34.200 Have a great day.

00:41:34.960 Godspeed.
