The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 499 - “Defund the Police” Is A Stupid, Insane, Incoherent Idea

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, the left now wants to defund the police. Today, we'll try to

00:00:05.620 understand what that actually means and who could be crazy enough to support it. That's the other

00:00:12.100 question. We'll try to get into all of that today. Also, five headlines, including Mitt Romney going

00:00:17.400 full BLM. And in our daily cancellation, I'm going to cancel all the people who are trying 1.00

00:00:22.760 to cancel J.K. Rowling because she said that men can't have periods. That is obviously a very

00:00:29.080 controversial statement these days. And so she's being canceled for that. But I'm going to reverse

00:00:33.960 cancel them. It's a very confusing. It's a difficult maneuver to pull off, but I'm going to try to do

00:00:39.800 that at the end of the show today. Okay, so we begin with this. Defunding the police. The latest

00:00:46.220 brilliant idea to be proposed by our friends on the left. They want to defund the police. Unless you

00:00:52.420 think that this is nothing but a delusional pipe dream. Well, it is delusional, of course. But it

00:00:58.640 isn't just a dream. This is something that they're actually setting out to do. Minneapolis is moving

00:01:03.920 in this direction right now as we speak. A veto-proof majority of Minneapolis city council members have

00:01:09.380 already announced their intention to disband and defund the police department in the city.

00:01:15.860 The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Fry, you know, he hasn't been paying very much attention to everything

00:01:23.460 that's been going on. He'd already let violent mobs rampage through the city for two weeks. He let

00:01:28.100 them burn down a precinct. He let them do whatever they want to. And here's what he's been up to

00:01:32.600 while all this is going on.

00:01:33.900 down

00:01:35.900 down

00:01:36.900 down

00:01:39.900 down

00:01:40.400 down

00:01:40.900 down

00:01:42.900 down

00:01:46.200 down

00:01:47.900 down

00:01:48.900 down

00:01:49.900 down

00:01:50.360 down

00:01:51.900 down

00:01:52.320 down

00:01:54.360 down

00:01:55.980 down

00:01:59.100 is it any wonder that a man wearing pants like that would be unfit to govern 0.86

00:02:10.520 but the dancing mayor um he got a dose of reality this weekend finally when he went to a black lives 0.95

00:02:18.220 matter demonstration and after they did the macarena and the cha-cha slide in the ymca

00:02:23.320 uh after all that had been concluded he was asked about this idea of getting rid of the police

00:02:29.220 and here's how that went for him jacob fry we have a yes or no question for you

00:02:35.860 yes or no will you commit to defunding minneapolis police department

00:02:41.440 what did i say we don't want no more police is that clear we don't want people with guns

00:02:51.100 toting around in our community shooting us down you have an answer it is a yes or a no

00:02:57.420 it is a yes or a no will you defund the minneapolis police department

00:03:03.160 all right be quiet y'all be quiet because it's it's important that we actually hear this

00:03:10.600 it's important that we hear this because if y'all don't know he's up for re-election next year

00:03:14.980 if y'all don't know he's up for re-election next year

00:03:20.820 and if he says no guess what the we gonna do next year

00:03:25.860 what'd you say

00:03:32.260 i do not support you for an abolitionist 0.99

00:03:38.420 all right get the f*** out of here 0.99

00:03:41.180 go home jacob go home 0.97

00:03:45.640 now this is

00:03:57.620 what you just saw there i keep in mind as i said this guy let the blm radicals do whatever they want

00:04:07.880 burn down a police precinct burn down half the city loot pillage assault attack police

00:04:15.460 officers you know everything he gave them free reign okay he watched the purge basically he watched

00:04:21.460 the purge and took it as a how-to video for mayors and after all of that he still got cussed out and

00:04:29.200 booed off the stage because he had the audacity to suggest that maybe we shouldn't officially and

00:04:34.960 totally get rid of the law enforcement permanently you know he wouldn't go that far he said yeah i mean

00:04:40.500 you could burn stuff down for i'll give you like two weeks to burn down whatever you want do 0.99

00:04:44.540 whatever you want assault kill people yeah do what you want uh you want to burn down here you 0.99

00:04:49.100 want to burn down a police police go ahead yeah go ahead just go ahead yeah sure 0.99

00:04:53.180 still not enough not enough for them and this is what happens with the left they will never be happy

00:05:00.960 they will never be satisfied they will never be satiated nothing you do will ever be enough 0.85

00:05:07.060 especially if you're a white man if you're a white man forget it you're the villain and there's 0.86

00:05:12.680 nothing you can do and that's that's the lesson that jacob fry is learning right now 0.97

00:05:16.980 um that you can't and and here's the other thing

00:05:21.440 by kowtowing and submitting and apologizing and groveling you're not going to let you're not going to

00:05:29.480 make them be nice to you except maybe temporarily okay that's what jacob fry was expecting he thought

00:05:34.620 at least they'd be nice to him well they're not being nice to him but especially you're not going

00:05:40.420 to make anyone respect you that way maybe they'll be nice to you temporarily in a certain context

00:05:47.720 uh until you say you don't want to defund the police and then they and then they cuss you out

00:05:53.120 and they're talking to the mayor that way can we just all of these there's so much that we've been

00:05:59.760 seeing over the last two weeks and and and really you know over the last few years that it's it's

00:06:05.960 all become so normal to us but even just that video right they take everything else aside just

00:06:12.280 that video of the mayor of a city being treated that way like 10 years ago that would have been

00:06:17.820 unthinkable and now it's just yeah it's a video you see and you move on from it um but what you see

00:06:26.280 there's a total lack of respect for this guy they have no respect for him whatsoever and can you

00:06:31.100 blame them i'm not sitting here saying they should respect him why would you respect a mayor who just

00:06:36.700 let you burn down the city um and i as i said i don't feel sorry for him even if it did look like he

00:06:44.600 was going to cry there a little bit i do feel sorry for the law-abiding citizens of minneapolis

00:06:49.200 all 14 of them who now are about to have their city taken over permanently by the mob and there's

00:06:56.460 nothing they can do about it now this idea of defunding the police has gained steam rapidly not

00:07:01.400 just in minneapolis uh it has like so many crazy leftist ideas gone from fringe to mainstream at

00:07:10.040 light speed it goes from you gotta get a few radical people talking about it to it's it's everywhere

00:07:16.220 and this is where you know the mainstream media is very helpful in this regard for the left so we

00:07:23.540 call it the mainstream media they can take these fringe radical leftist ideas and inject them right

00:07:28.820 into the bloodstream of the mainstream and uh and this is what they've been doing with this now if

00:07:35.040 you're wondering what this actually means what it would look like um what the implications are of an

00:07:41.500 idea like this well the thing is the people proposing it aren't really answering those questions

00:07:46.780 all we get are emotional appeals shouting screaming that's all they have um the best i could do and

00:07:56.380 i've been looking around just to see like what okay you're saying defund the police i already know

00:08:01.000 it's a crazy idea but tell me about it what do you even really mean by that and it's very hard to

00:08:07.880 get answers to that question but i did find a few answers from a few different sources and i want

00:08:13.780 to uh get into those and we'll talk about that in just a second but first i want to tell you about

00:08:18.880 our friends at eero you know um i've had the experience of uh especially where i live kind of out

00:08:26.560 out in the middle of nowhere uh of having horrible wi-fi service and for the job that i do that that could

00:08:33.060 be very it causes a lot of problems but even without this job um you know considering how

00:08:37.200 connected we are everything's online these days you gotta have good wi-fi eero is the wi-fi your

00:08:44.100 home deserves blanketing your whole home with fast reliable wi-fi and it's not just inside but

00:08:49.360 outside too eero extends your coverage so you can enjoy the nicer weather and get work done by your

00:08:53.720 deck you know we have a i like to spend a lot of time out on our back porch um before eero i haven't

00:08:59.000 been able to get the internet out there but now i can eero eliminates poor coverage dead spots and

00:09:03.680 buffering you'll have a consistently strong single signal wherever you go eero sets up in minutes

00:09:09.180 plugs right into your modem and your router box and you manage it from a from a very simple app

00:09:15.740 it's all very simple very quick that's what it's all about with with this sort of thing i think

00:09:20.260 simple and quick you can get yours fixed as soon as tomorrow if you're having wi-fi issues go to

00:09:25.880 eero.com slash walsh enter code walsh at checkout to get free next day shipping with your order that's

00:09:31.700 eero.com slash walsh code walsh at checkout to get your eero delivered with free next day shipping

00:09:37.700 you must use this url to receive this offer so again that's eero.com slash walsh eero.com slash walsh

00:09:44.700 code walsh all right um so what does this actually mean defund the police um i looked around it's it's hard

00:09:52.800 to get answers i did find this from cnn uh headline there's a growing call to defund the police here's

00:10:01.440 what it means all right um and then it goes into it says there's a growing group of dissenters who

00:10:06.420 believe americans can survive without law enforcement as we know it and americans uh those dissenters

00:10:11.920 believe may even be better off without it the solution to police brutality and racial inequalities

00:10:16.440 is police in policing is simple supporters say just defund the police it's as straightforward as it

00:10:22.540 sounds instead of funding a police department a sizable chunk of a city's budget is invested in

00:10:26.680 communities especially marginalized ones where much of the policing occurs um but and then it goes on

00:10:33.860 does defunding the police mean disbanding the police that depends on who you ask said philip

00:10:39.320 mcares a doctoral candidate in sociology yale university and lead research and policy associate

00:10:44.400 at the community resource hub for safety and accountability some supporters of divestment want to

00:10:50.040 reallocate some but not all funds away from police departments to social services some want to strip

00:10:55.760 all police funding and dissolve departments the concept exists on a spectrum the leftists love

00:11:02.660 their spectrums everything's on a spectrum with them but both both interpretations center on reimagining

00:11:07.560 what public safety looks like this is interesting isn't it usually we're told that the way to fix a

00:11:13.840 problem is to throw money at it want to fix the schools dump money into it oh the problem isn't fixed

00:11:19.240 yet just dump some more money into it oh still not fixed well i know we'll do it more money and on and

00:11:24.800 on into infinity but with police apparently the solution is to take money away perhaps all money all

00:11:32.860 funding this is this is honestly the only area where where the left would ever suggest that taking

00:11:40.080 money away is how you solve the problem with everything else especially where the government is

00:11:45.360 concerned it's all about more money more money more money and so maybe if if they're capable of of

00:11:52.840 connecting these dots which i don't think they are but maybe they should start to think if you really

00:11:57.840 believe that these police departments have too much money you should take some of it away or all of it

00:12:02.700 well then think about the schools why why do you think why do you think that more money there is

00:12:10.200 going to fix the problems um one other point about what i just read before we get to the main point

00:12:16.800 it says that black americans don't feel protected by the police um i don't think i read that part it

00:12:25.720 says it also means dismantling the idea that police are public stewards meant to protect communities many

00:12:30.540 black americans and other people of color don't feel protected by police mccarris said okay so they don't

00:12:35.260 feel protected um all right and and maybe that's how some of them feel and and i'm sorry that they feel

00:12:43.880 that way but the reality the actual reality is that black americans like white americans are protected by

00:12:52.780 the police okay cops protect black people they do they die protecting black people in fact in the city 0.97

00:13:00.260 especially many cops are black themselves so these are black police officers protecting other black 0.99

00:13:05.120 people now not all of them do there are some bad cops out there but the majority this is what they do 0.95

00:13:10.820 what the left wants to do is get rid of law enforcement not based on any reality or in response to any

00:13:18.980 reality but based on how people feel in response to feelings uh it's it's you know you often hear this

00:13:25.640 claim that cops are a leading cause of death for young black men i'm sure you've seen that over the

00:13:33.340 last couple of weeks a leading cause of death a leading cause of death which makes you wonder

00:13:39.660 is it alien okay it's a leading cause is it like top three is it number one is it top five the answer is no

00:13:49.320 okay okay it's way down there on the list and it does make you wonder um what causes of death come

00:13:57.460 before police on that list if we're worried about the leading causes of death what are the causes of

00:14:03.900 death that are much more common than police and we know one of them you know the the cause of death

00:14:09.920 for young black men that far far far outpaces police is other young black men okay you look at the 0.92

00:14:17.660 homicide rate the hundreds of homicides that happen in every single major city in america every single 0.73

00:14:23.980 year vast majority of them are young black men being killed and in the vast majority of cases they're 0.90

00:14:29.540 being killed by other young black men and not ones that have a badge and a uniform so you get rid of 1.00

00:14:35.760 police what happens then do those murders magically stop the people just stop okay you get rid of police 0.95

00:14:44.820 and now no one's going to be killed by police anymore yeah because they're not around to kill

00:14:48.120 you fine but there are a whole lot of people who are getting killed by by by those who are not in

00:14:55.360 the police department and what happens to them do all of the murderers just say well police aren't

00:15:02.000 around anymore i guess we'll stop killing

00:15:03.220 no um i don't think the murders magically stop and if they don't magically stop

00:15:09.160 who investigates those crimes and seeks justice for them who goes and pursues the criminals who

00:15:14.820 puts them in jail or do we not care about justice for those victims

00:15:19.460 now this is the most obvious question raised by the concept of defunding the police if we don't have

00:15:26.640 police what do we do when someone is murdered or raped or robbed or carjacked or experiences any of

00:15:33.820 the other eventualities common to people who live in the city or just visit it from time to time and

00:15:39.540 here's a pretty incredible thing or perhaps not so incredible the people who've advanced this proposal

00:15:45.160 of defunding the police they don't have an answer for this question in most cases they just don't answer

00:15:52.160 it that's their answer they don't have one they don't bother answering it you know the question that

00:15:58.120 you would think that the first question you'd think they'd come up with some kind of answer for

00:16:03.620 is this because it's the first thing anyone's gonna say well we should defund the police first

00:16:08.540 response is going to be what do you mean what about the murderers what are we gonna do about them

00:16:12.000 they have no answer for that their plan is no plan this is mob mentality personified a lot of anger a lot

00:16:21.980 of yelling many demands are made no plan nothing coherent nothing concrete and i've looked because

00:16:30.640 i'd be very interested for someone who could come up with some kind of coherent plan for what we do

00:16:37.020 about robbers murderers carjackers etc um if we don't have police and there's no answer now the president

00:16:48.040 of minneapolis if you don't believe me that there's no plan here the president of the minneapolis city

00:16:53.160 council who's one of the people who's actually going working towards enacting this utopia of no police

00:17:00.280 she was asked this question on cnn and we're going to get to her response in a second um but before we do

00:17:07.760 i want to tell you about rad power bikes and i've told you that they're one of the sponsors uh on this

00:17:13.060 show uh and we really appreciate them um what i love about is a lot of people have been cooped up

00:17:20.120 in our homes right um and we've been we've been you know not able to get out as much um and this is

00:17:26.140 where you know now people are finally leaving their homes again you get a rad power bike it's just a

00:17:30.200 lot of fun whether you want a new way to commute or to you know to get around the city or you just

00:17:34.260 want to get out in nature whatever the case is you've got to try rad power bikes just give it a try

00:17:39.600 and you're going to love it i guarantee it uh it's a great alternative to public transportation

00:17:44.260 you know um especially these days and it's kind of a cross between a traditional bike and a moped

00:17:51.740 but it doesn't require a special driver's license so there's no extra hoops you have to jump through

00:17:57.300 there's no red tape or anything you can go 20 miles per hour without pedaling so you can get out and

00:18:02.800 about without getting all sweaty um that's another you know you can get from point a to point b and when

00:18:07.180 you get there you're not gonna be dripping with sweat um now other e-bikes if you've looked at

00:18:12.040 them they're usually you know you're gonna be cost cost you three four thousand dollars but these

00:18:16.480 bikes start at twelve hundred dollars and all of them are under fifteen hundred dollars so it's fun

00:18:21.140 it's easy uh it's affordable it's everything you could possibly want and to show appreciation for

00:18:25.900 those that service rad power bikes is offering a hundred dollars off all e-bike purchases for active

00:18:30.560 ex-military um for first responders teachers and students you get all of that rad power bikes

00:18:36.860 offers flexible financing for as low as zero percent apr right now as a limited time offer get a free

00:18:41.660 accessory with the purchase of a bike that's right you get a free gift of up to a hundred dollars in

00:18:45.780 value and free shipping to the lower 48 states to get the special offer text the word bike to 64 000

00:18:51.020 that's bike to 64 000 text bike to 64 000 now um the president of minneapolis city council was asked

00:19:00.800 this question on cna about what what do you do about crime if we don't have police and here's what her

00:19:05.980 response was we have a state action against our police department which gives us legal mechanisms

00:19:12.120 in the very short term you know there's lessons from all over the country all over the world that

00:19:17.240 we're looking to um to take immediate steps while we work toward building the systems that we would

00:19:23.120 need to imagine that that future do you understand that the word dismantle or police free also makes

00:19:30.260 some people nervous for instance what if in the middle of the night my home is broken into who do

00:19:37.060 i call yes i mean i i hear that loud and clear from a lot of my neighbors and i know and myself too and

00:19:45.760 i know that that comes from a place of privilege because for those of us for whom the system is

00:19:50.920 working i think we need to step back and imagine what it would feel like to already live in that

00:19:56.400 reality where calling the police may mean more harm is done so there you go if somebody is breaking into

00:20:03.840 your home and you want to call the clock cops that's just because of your privilege that's the

00:20:09.820 answer it's your privilege which which by the way of course is not actually an answer to the question

00:20:14.700 but uh that's that's how she feels so what should you do someone breaks into your home i guess

00:20:22.160 lie prostrate on the ground apologize for your whiteness invite the home invader to take whatever 0.87

00:20:29.620 he wants or whoever he wants the tv the couch your wallet your firstborn i mean whatever he wants

00:20:36.240 go ahead and take it and don't forget this i think this is kind of basic etiquette um is that uh when the

00:20:44.000 home invader comes and of course you're gonna you're gonna allow them to take whatever they want

00:20:47.640 um but also offer offer to let him kill you or you you could also give the option of killing yourself 0.87

00:20:56.420 so because he may not want to get blood on his clothes you have to understand right uh because 0.98

00:21:01.560 he's gonna you understand from his perspective okay he's a home invader he's coming to your home he

00:21:06.280 wants to take whatever he wants um he's worried about you being a witness okay so that's a that's a real

00:21:11.940 obstacle he's facing right now and think about how worried he is about that because don't just think

00:21:17.160 about yourself stop stop stop being so selfish that you're sitting there feeling sorry for yourself

00:21:23.280 someone's in your home they're stealing everything they're kidnapping your children uh and and you know

00:21:27.400 what are you doing you're just thinking about yourself the whole time you see this is the problem

00:21:30.260 this is privilege this is your narcissism talking so if you don't have privilege and you want to prove 0.99

00:21:36.480 it then what you'll say is listen i know you're worried about a witness you can go ahead and kill me 0.97

00:21:40.940 otherwise i can jump out the window you know um whatever you want you let me know and we'll just

00:21:47.880 do this how you want to do it now um so that's i guess that's her idea to get a more specific answer

00:21:55.500 to this question of what we should do about murderers and robbers and rapists if there are no police

00:21:59.180 departments uh i was forced to go to tiktok where all the answers are given in the form of dance

00:22:05.680 unfortunately but this was the most direct answer to this question that i could find and it was on tiktok

00:22:12.280 and here it is

00:22:13.840 okay let's let's freeze it at the end there um with all the answers up on the screen so you see all the

00:22:35.320 answers that this is brilliant stuff isn't it so who do we call for ghosts we call the ghostbusters

00:22:40.820 i think we're all on board with that actually i'd prefer to call the lady from poltergeist 0.96

00:22:44.240 that's that's my preference but you know ghostbusters fine uh of course the lady ghostbusters we're going

00:22:51.000 to call we're not gonna call the men that's patriarchal now it says for domestic violence rape and

00:22:56.780 assault you call social workers and trauma response psychotherapists so these people will come

00:23:04.100 and they'll make you feel better maybe prescribe some pills as far as arresting the person who did

00:23:10.120 this to you you know the person who raped or assaulted you well you're out of luck on that

00:23:14.160 that's where there's not going to be any justice let's not go crazy here he's just going to go find the

00:23:19.580 next victim and those psychotherapists will be close behind right on his heels giving out drugs to

00:23:25.320 all of his victims while he just continues on and uh and that's going to be the system now for theft it

00:23:30.800 says social workers with defensive armor will come and the cnn article that i read by the way also said

00:23:37.420 the same thing they did briefly address this question uh and it says that uh social workers

00:23:42.960 and victim rights advocates would take the place of police so you call 9-1-1 you know it's like 9-1-1

00:23:48.720 what's your emergency uh yeah i'm at the bank and there's a guy here with a gun he's taking me hostage

00:23:52.340 well sir remain calm a victim's rights advocate will be there promptly with a sternly worded letter

00:23:57.640 everything will be fine and if he happens to kill you don't panic about that there'll be a

00:24:03.360 psychotherapist they'll give antidepressants to your family this isn't even really funny actually

00:24:09.240 because this is this is like an absurd outlandish parody of liberalism except it's real life this is

00:24:17.200 really what they're proposing this idea of replacing police officers with psychotherapists

00:24:24.320 and social workers in defensive armor this is the kind of thing that you would you would make up

00:24:31.100 if you were creating a satire of liberalism and then for violent threats it says on call community

00:24:38.800 defenders will be uh the replacements on call community defenders you know we used to have a

00:24:45.440 word for people like that they're on call you could call there's like a special number you could call

00:24:49.820 and their job is is to defend the community what do we used to call those people what were they it's

00:24:56.680 a police yeah that's what it was now let's let's for a second um climb down from the clouds okay

00:25:03.900 climb down from this fantasy world and talk about the reality okay the actual reality what would

00:25:09.840 actually happen if you get rid of the police if there are no police in a city or anywhere else

00:25:16.460 what happens well the first thing is if you're rich good news nothing happens to you um rich people

00:25:24.820 can hire armed security they can hire private detectives they can hire people to perform the

00:25:30.740 the role of police for them privately and that's where many of the fired and disbanded police officers

00:25:36.960 will go they're going to go into private security and they're going to continue doing the sort of

00:25:40.500 thing they did before except now they're doing it for hire uh by rich people as for the non-rich

00:25:46.620 people like you and me well we're going to be at the mercy of criminals and thugs and the streets

00:25:52.240 will be ruled by vigilante mobs and armed militias um and that's what's going to happen

00:25:57.180 that's what has happened in every country without reliable law enforcement we don't need to speculate

00:26:03.060 about this just look at any failed state look at any third world country and that's what you find

00:26:08.240 you find warlords and mercenaries and vigilantes and armed militias and this is a situation that

00:26:14.820 the left now seeks to create also keep in mind that we're going to move on from this in a second but

00:26:20.860 keep in mind the the the irony uh here of this and the contradiction of it that it was just a few weeks

00:26:28.860 ago that we were talking about the ahmaud arbery case and and we were told that you know we can't

00:26:35.060 have vigil we can't have armed vigilantes going and chasing people down just call the police you're

00:26:40.240 not a police officer you shouldn't be doing this and now the same people who said that and i agreed

00:26:46.500 with them on that by the way that we we rather have police than armed vigilantes now they're saying

00:26:51.680 let's get rid of the police but what are we going to do expect coherence from these people expect them

00:26:58.620 to be consistent can't expect that when you're dealing with people who are ruled entirely by

00:27:04.260 emotion uh this is what this is what you get all right let's go to uh your news headlines number one

00:27:11.900 mitt romney joined a black lives matter protest over the weekend here he is um black lives matter he says

00:27:21.040 and he's got the he's got the selfie there that's what you do when you really believe in a cause right

00:27:25.560 when you're there because you believe in it you take a selfie and you put it on twitter that's

00:27:29.620 what you do um and this is part of the the thing i've been talking about over the last few weeks 0.89

00:27:34.620 republicans endorsing black lives matter black lives matter is an extremist group it's a violent group

00:27:40.880 these are radical leftists look at their website look at what they propose i read some of it last week 0.79

00:27:46.560 uh you know there's a lot more there i mean of course they believe america's an inherently racist 0.98

00:27:51.100 country they believe that police are racist thugs out murdering black people they believe that 0.99

00:27:55.220 white supremacy is this this this uh deadly threat that kills black people every single day in this 0.99

00:28:00.320 country none of that is true of course they also believe in if you look at the website they believe 0.99

00:28:04.240 in disrupting the nuclear family they believe in trying to get rid of heteronormative thinking

00:28:10.120 whatever that is these are radical leftist ideas and you've got mitt romney out chanting their slogan

00:28:17.600 and marching with them all right number two the good news is that it looks like the nfl season will

00:28:22.400 happen the bad news is that we're going to do the whole kneeling thing again only this time it'll be

00:28:27.660 the kneeling thing on steroids you thought you thought we had the we we had the whole thing with 0.82

00:28:32.080 the kneeling the last few years this is going to be every single game it's going to be kneeling and

00:28:36.720 then trump you know trump is out tweeting about it it's saying don't kneel and so that's going to

00:28:40.320 encourage it even more um so we're finally getting sports back but sports are just going to be a

00:28:46.320 platform for the continuance of the culture war which which it has been of course for a while but

00:28:50.680 now it's going to be that even worse many players have announced their intention to kneel ahead of

00:28:56.780 time including this the new york post says running back adrian peterson is going to kneel now i thought

00:29:02.540 this was fascinating because adrian peterson you may remember a few years ago he was arrested because

00:29:08.520 he beat his four-year-old son with a tree branch and left cuts and bruises all over his body

00:29:14.980 his son was apparently afraid to talk to police about it because he was afraid that quote daddy

00:29:20.320 peterson as he calls him will punch him in the face okay so this is what this guy does to a four-year-old

00:29:26.640 child leaves him with cuts and bruises all over his body beats him with a branch and this guy is worried

00:29:31.600 about inequality and violence yeah sure okay number three here's a picture i saw online yesterday it's a

00:29:37.680 picture of white people at a protest washing the feet of some black protesters um i didn't want to 0.60

00:29:44.260 believe this was real so i looked it up i found the video and yes my friends this is this is very real

00:29:51.900 on behalf of caucasian people

00:29:58.480 it's all people

00:30:01.040 okay

00:30:11.620 okay

00:30:15.620 yes

00:30:16.980 it's our honor to stand here on behalf of all white glasses all of our white race

00:30:30.520 and then we've just heard about

00:30:31.980 one racing

00:30:33.160 all of humanity before we stand here

00:30:36.340 confessing

00:30:39.220 repenting lord for our aggression

00:30:41.600 lord repenting for

00:30:44.620 our crime

00:30:45.840 for thinking that we are better that we are above

00:30:49.440 lord we repent we stand here we repent for our greed

00:30:53.940 allow me to just say

00:30:56.400 as they're washing the feet and they're announcing that they're apologizing on behalf of the white race

00:31:03.220 on behalf of caucasians

00:31:04.760 as a member of the white race as a caucasian myself you are not apologizing on my behalf

00:31:10.180 i don't offer an apology

00:31:12.180 i don't owe an apology

00:31:14.700 so you are not apologizing on my behalf

00:31:17.280 those people whose feet you're washing 0.85

00:31:19.220 i've done nothing to them

00:31:20.780 i owe them no apology

00:31:22.700 i don't give one

00:31:24.000 and the feet washing thing

00:31:27.580 yes it is it is a

00:31:29.320 a common

00:31:30.640 practice among christians

00:31:32.640 it's a

00:31:33.140 it's a

00:31:33.520 it's a

00:31:34.700 significant symbol

00:31:36.560 but

00:31:37.960 you know

00:31:39.120 jesus washed feet

00:31:40.460 as a sign of humility

00:31:42.240 and love

00:31:43.340 that's not what this is

00:31:45.320 especially when you're doing it performatively

00:31:47.940 in front of a crowd

00:31:49.220 of

00:31:50.400 of a

00:31:50.860 you know

00:31:51.720 adoring onlookers

00:31:53.020 it's not about humility

00:31:54.640 actually it's the opposite of that

00:31:56.140 and doing it as an apology

00:31:59.040 on behalf of one race to another race

00:32:02.540 that is not

00:32:04.220 biblical

00:32:04.760 it's also not

00:32:06.560 sane

00:32:08.200 it's not sane behavior

00:32:09.780 number four

00:32:11.160 and here this

00:32:11.900 this is from uber eats

00:32:13.260 they said

00:32:14.700 this is a new policy

00:32:15.680 they said

00:32:16.120 you asked for a way to find black owned restaurants on uber eats

00:32:19.440 we listened

00:32:20.120 you can support an order from black owned restaurants across the u.s. and canada

00:32:23.740 with a zero dollar delivery fee

00:32:25.780 so this is what they're doing now

00:32:28.140 we've got a little bit of segregation

00:32:30.240 so if you you can you can search for restaurants according to the race of the owner

00:32:35.040 and avoid certain races you don't want 0.99

00:32:38.200 if you want to avoid white people 0.99

00:32:39.160 okay you don't want to you don't want to patronize a white establishment 0.90

00:32:41.660 you can uber is going to help you do that

00:32:44.080 and then they're going to

00:32:45.760 a zero dollar delivery fee for black owned restaurants

00:32:48.460 what that actually means is

00:32:49.740 they have a delivery fee 0.97

00:32:52.140 essentially as a penalty for the restaurants that are not owned by black people

00:32:55.720 and this is this is how we're going to bring about racial harmony right

00:33:01.280 is by segregation

00:33:02.880 breaking things down by race

00:33:06.280 financial penalties for certain races

00:33:10.440 i mean this is how you

00:33:11.460 this is how you you bring about a

00:33:13.600 racially harmonious utopia isn't it

00:33:16.780 finally let's get to our daily cancellation

00:33:19.100 now today i'm going to be canceling everyone who is trying to cancel jk rowling

00:33:23.340 this is a rare defensive reverse cancellation

00:33:27.220 a drc as they call it in the business

00:33:29.380 now um before i execute this this drc

00:33:32.880 let me just say that yes jk rowling is a leftist

00:33:35.320 she has repeatedly over the years

00:33:37.540 appeased and coddled the very mob that is now trying to cancel her

00:33:40.460 so this in some ways is similar to the jacob fry situation

00:33:44.200 that video that we played it's a very very similar thing

00:33:46.480 but with that said to rowling's credit

00:33:49.280 um she has recently been taking a stand on an important issue

00:33:52.660 and she's been taking all the slings and arrows that come from that i respect that

00:33:55.940 and anyway i will always defend anyone who stands for common sense insanity

00:34:01.360 whether it's jk rowling or anybody else

00:34:03.860 even if you've even if you've been on the side of insanity and lunacy and

00:34:08.380 and irrationality for years if you finally come over

00:34:11.320 even slightly to the side of common sense insanity

00:34:14.020 i will i'll be right there with you

00:34:16.060 um because we need all the help we can get as far as i'm concerned

00:34:19.660 so that brings us to um

00:34:22.780 what jk rowling said over the weekend

00:34:24.840 first i think this is what started it

00:34:26.200 she reacted to a headline that included the phrase

00:34:28.260 people who menstruate

00:34:29.460 and she said people who menstruate

00:34:30.900 i'm sure there used to be a word for those people

00:34:32.640 someone help me out

00:34:33.480 wombin wimbin wumund

00:34:35.220 um

00:34:36.500 those all sound like uh names from harry potter

00:34:39.740 but

00:34:40.580 and that tweet got 30,000 responses

00:34:43.120 many of them extremely angry

00:34:45.240 because she's obviously in this tweet

00:34:47.600 she's insinuating that uh

00:34:49.400 you know women menstruate 0.98

00:34:50.680 and men do not 0.84

00:34:51.620 and that is very offensive stuff

00:34:54.100 so rowling then followed that with a series of tweets

00:34:57.580 uh and i won't read all of them

00:35:00.040 but she says if sex isn't real

00:35:01.540 there's no same-sex attraction

00:35:03.180 if sex isn't real

00:35:04.060 the lived reality of women globally is erased 1.00

00:35:06.380 i know and love trans people

00:35:08.040 but erasing the concept of sex

00:35:09.380 removes the ability of many

00:35:10.620 to meaningfully discuss their lives

00:35:12.060 it isn't hate to speak the truth

00:35:13.840 and this of course set off a firestorm of criticism

00:35:17.000 much of it vicious and vulgar

00:35:18.920 as you might expect

00:35:19.840 um

00:35:20.960 meanwhile what she said is inarguably true

00:35:24.000 i mean

00:35:25.880 the only part i didn't like

00:35:27.820 is where she says lived reality

00:35:29.640 as i've said many times 0.98

00:35:31.520 it is pretentious and ridiculous 0.55

00:35:33.000 to stick the word lived

00:35:34.440 in front of a word like experience or reality

00:35:37.400 because all you can do with reality is live it

00:35:39.580 if it's if it is lived

00:35:41.180 then it is reality

00:35:42.080 if you're living it it's reality

00:35:43.160 that aside

00:35:44.720 the stuff she says about sex is all correct 0.98

00:35:47.500 it's obvious

00:35:48.180 it's common sense

00:35:49.100 totally uncontroversial

00:35:51.160 for anyone who isn't insane

00:35:52.720 and who has an iq

00:35:54.420 exceeding that of an oyster

00:35:56.380 unfortunately there are a lot of sub-oyster iqs out there 1.00

00:36:00.680 and there are a lot of maniacs and lunatics out there 0.99

00:36:03.660 who don't want to hear 0.99

00:36:05.800 basic reality

00:36:07.920 in fact there's a whole political party

00:36:10.700 and a whole ideology set up for these people

00:36:12.920 and it goes without saying obviously

00:36:16.000 that none of the people attacking jk rowling

00:36:18.420 could offer any kind of counter argument

00:36:21.180 um they couldn't offer any actual like

00:36:23.600 reason why she's wrong about what she's saying

00:36:26.240 they couldn't do that

00:36:27.060 instead they kick and scream

00:36:29.700 and demand that everyone abandon reality for their sake

00:36:32.040 and many people are very happy to comply

00:36:34.780 and this brings us back to a point that i made

00:36:38.540 um at the end of the show

00:36:39.880 i think maybe on monday

00:36:40.920 it was last week sometime

00:36:41.680 that you know

00:36:44.500 we we we live in a world right now

00:36:49.480 where there are people

00:36:52.100 not you know they want to get rid of the police department

00:36:55.220 we've got rampaging mobs in the street

00:36:58.640 and that's being endorsed by the left

00:37:01.000 the left saying men can have periods

00:37:04.280 and if you disagree with that 0.94

00:37:05.640 you're a hateful bigot 1.00

00:37:06.460 and should be shunned from polite society 1.00

00:37:09.040 babies aren't people 1.00

00:37:11.720 we could kill 60 million of them 0.78

00:37:13.720 and it's something to celebrate 1.00

00:37:14.720 on and on and on

00:37:16.140 um this is why

00:37:19.420 i believe we are heading to some

00:37:21.040 to a fracturing of some kind

00:37:22.840 i don't know what that's going to look like

00:37:24.300 i don't know how it's going to manifest itself

00:37:25.860 i don't expect another bull run

00:37:28.280 or antitam anytime soon

00:37:29.640 but there will be some kind of split

00:37:32.460 there has to be

00:37:33.500 because you have one side of the political divide

00:37:37.500 that has so divorced itself from reality

00:37:39.700 has so rejected common sense

00:37:41.760 and truth and decency and morality

00:37:43.800 that there is just no way

00:37:45.700 for us to overcome that

00:37:46.860 and ignore it

00:37:48.120 and be united

00:37:48.940 this is what we've seen

00:37:52.180 i don't think there's any way around it

00:37:55.260 um the only question is

00:37:59.140 you know what does it look like

00:38:02.100 but the people who want to live in a world

00:38:04.940 with no law enforcement

00:38:05.960 where vigilante mobs

00:38:07.260 and and and you know

00:38:08.380 rule the streets

00:38:09.880 where we pretend that that men can have periods

00:38:13.040 where we kill

00:38:14.660 where we kill babies 0.92

00:38:15.660 for the crime of being conceived 0.95

00:38:17.060 if you want to live in a country like that

00:38:21.200 then go have your country

00:38:26.180 i don't want to share it with you

00:38:29.160 and i think these differences are

00:38:32.100 far too deep

00:38:33.500 and too real

00:38:34.440 and too significant

00:38:35.720 and too fundamental

00:38:37.020 to be hashed out

00:38:39.720 and argued over

00:38:41.460 there is no compromise

00:38:43.800 there's no compromise

00:38:45.260 between men can have periods

00:38:47.120 and they can't

00:38:48.420 there's no compromise

00:38:49.180 between biological reality

00:38:50.680 and fantasy

00:38:51.240 there's no compromise

00:38:52.180 between

00:38:52.600 um let's have no law enforcement

00:39:26.160 i'm afraid to say
