The Matt Walsh Show - Matt Walsh Reacts to Public School Insanity

00:00:00.000 here's a report from fox 25 in oklahoma that i hope you're not eating right now

00:00:16.040 but if you are fair warning uh here it is an event at deer creek high school fox 25's david

00:00:25.880 chasanov has reaction from the district and its parents tonight david what are you hearing

00:00:31.160 adam wendy a parent whose child attended the event calls it deeply disturbing and we do want to warn you

00:00:39.900 the video you're about to see may be graphic to some viewers

00:00:43.220 this video shows deer creek high school students licking toes at a fundraising event thursday

00:00:53.920 we have blurred their faces to hide their identity it was surprising i didn't think

00:00:58.840 they were gonna do all that i was just shocked i didn't really have like a feeling i was like

00:01:05.980 kind of disgusted building my kind of glad i wasn't over there he is devouring them

00:01:11.940 whatever she told me yesterday that was happening i had to ask her like wait what

00:01:18.320 they're licking peanut butter off the toes what the deer creek school district confirmed the video

00:01:23.780 with fox 25 saying the students volunteered in challenges to help raise money during their

00:01:28.980 philanthropy week i am all for fundraising and all for really fun and silly things but that right

00:01:36.660 there just seems a little excessive oh dear creek schools says every student who participated

00:01:44.660 signed up for the games they played ahead of time and that no faculty or staff were involved during the assembly

00:01:51.220 they note that the fundraising week helped raise more than 152 000 it's really great that they

00:01:57.300 raised a lot of money i feel like maybe they could have done a little bit more accountability and

00:02:02.580 ownership in that statement for you know maybe we didn't fully think this thing through here

00:02:08.500 so just to review here this school deer creek high school decided to have a fundraising event

00:02:14.500 and uh so far so far so good fundraising event nothing wrong with that when i was a kid we had we did

00:02:24.580 fundraisers all the time in school you know we sold candy bars we did walk-a-thons we uh we had bake

00:02:31.460 sales we did car washes that sort of thing uh where it all goes off the rails is that they decided for

00:02:37.140 their fundraising activity that they were going to have students lick apparently lick peanut butter off

00:02:43.860 of each other's feet um in front of an entire gymnasium and uh it's one of those it's hard it's

00:02:55.460 really if you're a normal person you can't wrap your mind around it exactly because this was an idea

00:03:00.660 idea that someone at the school had and and proposed right and then it was organized

00:03:10.340 it was like multiple people are involved here is i don't know how many but the multiple the

00:03:14.980 involvement is it goes beyond just one person and they're organizing this and at no point

00:03:21.220 before or during did anybody stop and say um you know i don't know if we should do the toe

00:03:29.300 licking thing i don't know if that maybe we shouldn't that might that might be a hard it 0.95

00:03:33.380 might actually that might make us look like sicko pedophiles with foot fetishes if we do that uh so 0.84

00:03:38.260 maybe we shouldn't nobody said that apparently and they just charged right ahead and then um 0.61

00:03:45.940 when the video of this event goes viral as it was destined to the school district doesn't

00:03:50.740 apologize they don't accept any responsibility at all don't hold themselves accountable they don't

00:03:56.820 even admit that it was probably a bad idea so that's what you have to understand the school

00:04:01.060 district is standing behind this they're standing behind the toe sucking uh video they they will not 0.52

00:04:08.660 acknowledge even in hindsight they won't acknowledge that there was anything wrong with it uh this is

00:04:13.620 from so they read a little bit of the statement but it's just it's so incredible that let me read

00:04:19.540 the statement to you this afternoon deer creek high school announced a grand total of 152

00:04:24.260 830 raised for not your average joe coffee an organization created to inspire our community

00:04:29.700 by including students and adults with intellectual developmental and physical disabilities according

00:04:34.500 to their website this total was raised through a week of events and activities at both deer creek

00:04:38.340 high school and deer creek middle school all designed to bring our community together for an

00:04:41.940 extremely impactful organization on thursday january or february 29th deer creek high school hosted an

00:04:47.780 assembly called the clash of classes for students who paid to attend during this assembly 9th

00:04:52.980 through 12th grade students volunteered to participate in various student organized class

00:04:57.700 competitions in the spirit of raising money for nyaj all participants in the assembly were students

00:05:04.180 who signed up for the game that they played ahead of time no deer creek faculty or staff participate

00:05:09.220 in any of the games during this clash of classes assembly many dedicated students gave generously

00:05:14.020 of their personal time to achieve this momentous accomplishment which will serve communities

00:05:19.620 beyond the boundaries of deer creek that's it there's no apology there nothing they uh they are not

00:05:28.420 convinced yet that the foot fetish festival was a miscalculation in fact they defend it on the basis that

00:05:36.820 it raised a lot of money this momentous accomplishment of uh of licking peanut butter off of toes was uh is a

00:05:43.780 great it was a great achievement and they also say you know they also defended by saying that the students

00:05:49.220 weren't were not they volunteered for it so they were not held at gunpoint okay well that's good news i guess

00:05:54.580 and and they they have to stipulate that uh there were no teachers involved so it was not teachers having

00:05:59.940 their uh toes sucked by students this was a student these were all students and if that makes this any better it makes it 0.57

00:06:07.540 better by about an inch however we're still approximately 95 billion miles away from anything 0.94

00:06:15.300 that could be considered appropriate or or worthwhile uh for a school activity are you looking to deepen

00:07:29.220 let's try to follow the winding contours of this rather bizarre story begins earlier this week with

00:07:35.700 students at mount nebo middle school in utah staging a walkout in protest of all the furries that

00:07:42.900 administrators have allowed to infest the school it began with a petition which gained over 500

00:07:48.100 signatures in a few days calling for the school to start enforcing its dress codes and stop allowing

00:07:53.220 students to come to class dressed in their furry costumes and then came the walkout adam bartholomew is a

00:07:58.500 local commentator in utah captured footage of the event and of the kids outside the school

00:08:04.020 talked to them and asked them what their complaints were and let's watch a little bit of that

00:08:09.380 are they wearing a mask every day yes but every time they go they're always just wearing a mask but

00:08:15.940 the principal finally stood up and banned those stuff but they have but they still wear them every day

00:08:20.740 and they don't get in trouble the principal doesn't make them get in trouble yeah all the principal

00:08:25.780 says is just be kind be nice be nice and then what's the point of dressing up like a furry

00:08:32.100 so people can come at them and just look at them and think that they're so cool okay

00:08:44.180 are you guys uh going to be in trouble for walking out of school today

00:08:46.660 how else do they attack you guys they either bite us they scratch us they

00:09:14.180 so um the furries have gone feral it seems they're biting and scratching and

00:09:28.420 pouncing on people some of the students have had enough of this behavior they want to go to school

00:09:33.780 at a school not at a petting zoo and and that's why they walked out here's a video from a guy named

00:09:38.580 eric moutsis with more insight from people who work at the school listen to what he says

00:09:44.180 problem is a substitute teacher from mount nebo middle school contact me and said this has been

00:09:48.020 happening for over a year and this one is actually really sad and this person needs to be reprimanded

00:09:53.140 rebecca hunsaker barney said this is the school i work at i'm embarrassed for the parents that just

00:09:58.100 believed everything their kids told them then staged a protest without even contacting the school to

00:10:02.420 find out what is really happening the truth is is that a few kids dress as pets stay to themselves

00:10:08.740 they do not do any of these things these kids are reporting however they are constantly picked

00:10:14.180 on and bullied so the kids stayed to themselves so what about the video i just got from a concerned

00:10:19.380 parent where this girl acting like a dog is going after these students 1.00

00:10:30.180 this gets even better honestly we had the most wonderful peaceful day yesterday because most of the

00:10:34.740 the troublemakers were out protesting a lie really because that doesn't look like a lie

00:10:43.300 the halls were quiet and actually cleaner without them there this is a teacher at the school this

00:10:51.540 teacher is supposed to look at these kids in the eye unbiased and give them grades okay well that

00:10:58.580 confirms it then uh you know the furries being in school is not a rumor it's not misinformation

00:11:04.340 and the left has been denying that this sort of thing is happening for years they've claimed that

00:11:07.620 this is all the claims of furries at school and kids coming to school dressed as animals

00:11:11.780 they've been saying for years that this is a total right-wing myth completely made up

00:11:15.780 but here you have a teacher who is on the side of the furries a teacher who doesn't like the kids who

00:11:20.820 were protesting admitting publicly that quote a few kids dress as pets and she says that like it's

00:11:29.300 completely normal like she sees no problem with it as if it's normal childhood behavior i don't know

00:11:35.140 about you but when i went to school we had precisely zero kids dressing as pets at school what

00:11:45.060 well she acts like she doesn't have a problem with it and she doesn't and that is the problem 0.96

00:11:48.820 now look we can have debates over dress codes and how strict they could be or should be but

00:11:54.260 any halfway sane person should agree that the dress code should at least require that every student

00:12:01.460 dress like a human at a minimum dressing as a pet is not something that a child of any age should be

00:12:09.140 doing on a regular basis okay if my four-year-old at home was dressing like an animal every day

00:12:16.100 day i'd be a little concerned even about that it's like well this this is this is that's an unhealthy

00:12:22.020 fixation for a child of any age but a middle school age child during school hours

00:12:30.500 by the way the same guy eric moutsis has also obtained these photos of kids at this school dressed

00:12:35.700 in their animal costumes which you can see here so we've got some kind of velociraptor

00:12:42.260 lion hybrid thing and then a bunch of variations of cats i guess i think i see another lizard or maybe

00:12:49.380 there's a dinosaur back there kids are dressing like this at school coming to school in a full-on

00:12:56.900 mask and just walking around the school their parents are letting them leave the house in animal

00:13:04.260 masks well this is happening it has not been debunked it is real it's a real thing but we have we have not

00:13:12.740 yet gotten to the weirdest part of this story somehow the local abc affiliate decided to provide context

00:13:21.460 by interviewing a furry in costume and referring to the woman as her fictional character's name

00:13:28.740 during this interview watch this is strudel a member of the furry fandom though they've been a

00:13:36.980 furry for over a decade they have their own opinions it's crazy that it's escalated to this point where

00:13:43.060 these kids are being so distracting to their peers that their peers want to stage a walkout so to have

00:13:48.020 you know the next generation kind of muddy our name and um not represent it very well it is kind of

00:13:54.820 disappointing strudel believes there should be some limits continue doing things you like continue

00:14:00.980 dressing up continue making art but maybe let's keep it outside of school hours

00:14:08.980 yeah she doesn't want these kids to muddy the name of furries they must not sully the reputation of the 1.00

00:14:17.060 furries they shouldn't do anything that gives the public the impression that people who walk

00:14:21.860 around in animal costumes are i don't know weird bizarre deranged mentally unbalanced 0.81
