00:05:22.040 organizations in Mexico, shot as Mexican officials attempted to bring him into custody. The raid
00:05:28.380 carried out in Jalisco, a western state bordering the Pacific Ocean. Members of the cartel engaging
00:05:34.140 security forces in a gun battle, four cartel members killed at the scene. El Mencho and two others dying

00:06:25.380 new generation cartel leaders as specially designated global terrorists, allowing authorities to deny the
00:06:32.240 organization access to the U.S. financial system. U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau
