00:00:19.920 It's Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, and this is your AM update.

00:00:24.480 There's a reason you do an interview like that with a place like the New York Times.

00:00:28.280 It's because the evidence is starting to come out and it doesn't look so good.

00:00:32.260 President Biden raising more questions than answers in a brief interview with the New York

00:00:36.840 Times regarding the auto pen.

00:00:39.300 I believe that there will probably be more coming on this, and I believe anything that

00:00:44.060 they are able to release, I believe they'll probably try to get out sooner rather than

00:00:48.440 later.

00:00:49.000 The Epstein story lives on following massive outcry from Trump allies.

00:00:53.260 New reporting indicates more disclosures may be on the way.

00:00:56.400 And President Trump announces a dramatic shift in U.S. policy towards supplying Ukraine with

00:01:01.940 weapons.

00:01:02.860 All that and more coming up in just a moment on your AM update.

00:01:05.720 The worst part of cooking meat, being chained to a scorching stove, sweating, squinting through

00:01:14.820 smoke, singeing your eyebrows only to serve something that's half jerky, half still mooing.

00:02:23.360 Late Sunday night, the New York Times dropping a bombshell in the Biden auto pen story.

00:02:28.260 During the final weeks of the Biden administration, the White House granting commutations and pardons

00:02:33.260 to thousands of individuals.

00:02:35.480 These acts of clemency all signed with the auto pen, a mechanical device used to replicate

00:02:40.520 the president's signature.

00:02:42.380 The lone exception was the unprecedented Hunter Biden blanket pardon, which the president personally

00:02:47.820 signed.

00:02:48.800 At present, there are multiple investigations into the extensive use of the auto pen within

00:02:53.880 the Biden White House, critics pointing to clear signs of Mr. Biden's cognitive decline

00:02:58.720 and raising questions about who was making key decisions in his administration.

00:03:03.800 Former President Biden, in an apparent attempt to defend himself from these accusations,

00:03:08.320 raising even more questions with the Times.

00:03:11.300 From the report, quote,

00:03:12.360 Mr. Biden said that he had orally granted all the pardons and commutations issued at the

00:03:18.180 end of his term, calling President Trump and other Republicans liars for claiming his aides

00:03:23.440 had used an auto pen to do so without his authorization.

00:03:27.140 The Biden White House targeting thousands for commutations, including reducing the prison

00:03:31.580 time of about 2,500 so-called nonviolent drug offenders and turning 37 death sentences to

00:03:39.000 life without parole.

00:03:40.140 And of course, a set of preemptive pardons for the members of the staff of the January

00:03:44.760 6th House Select Committee, Dr. Fauci, General Mark Milley, and certain members of the Biden

00:03:50.380 family.

00:03:51.660 The Times finding the auto pen was managed by White House Staff Secretary Stephanie Feldman

00:03:56.660 after assistance to key Biden aides, including Chief of Staff Jeff Zients and White House

00:04:01.860 Counsel Ed Siskel would draft, quote,

00:04:04.160 blurbs describing President Biden's instructions.

00:04:07.140 The Times noting, quote, the assistants who drafted the blurbs were not themselves in the

00:04:12.480 room with Mr. Biden.

00:04:13.700 According to the lists of meeting participants, the emails from the Biden White House imply that

00:04:18.760 Mr. Siskel and Mr. Zients relayed what Mr. Biden had said to the assistants who then

00:04:24.820 documented it.

00:04:26.040 In other words, for pardons like that of Dr. Fauci and the January 6th Committee, there is no direct

00:04:31.580 written proof that former President Biden approved and directed them.

00:04:36.540 Meanwhile, the Times reporting one former aide saying the list of inmates provided by the Bureau

00:04:41.200 of Prisons kept changing and, quote, rather than ask Mr. Biden to keep signing revised versions,

00:04:47.960 his staff waited and then ran the final version through the auto pen, which they saw as routine

00:04:53.440 procedure.

00:04:54.720 President Trump, who previously ordered an investigation into the Biden White House's use of

00:04:58.920 the auto pen on Monday from the Oval Office reacting to the latest reporting.

00:05:03.000 The auto pen, I think, is maybe one of the biggest scandals that we've had in 50 to 100 years.

00:05:10.540 This is a tremendous scandal.

00:05:12.640 I guarantee he knew nothing about what he was signing.

00:05:16.000 I guarantee it.

00:05:17.580 We spoke to Mike Howell, president of nonprofit governmental watchdog The Oversight Project,

00:05:22.760 the group responsible for discovering the widespread use of the auto pen, about these latest revelations.

00:05:28.920 Howell says nothing about the Biden White House's auto pen process was routine.

00:05:33.740 There's nothing routine about the frequency of auto pen usage in the Biden administration,

00:05:38.380 and there's nothing routine about the level of incapacitation we saw out of President Biden,

00:05:43.360 which the whole country witnessed when he malfunctioned on stage at the debate when they

00:05:47.240 finally let him out unsupervised for a couple hours.

00:05:49.640 And there's also nothing routine about President Biden being in the White House and signing some

00:05:54.400 things and not signing others.

00:05:55.800 There's nothing routine about Neera Tanden's testimony where she said as staff secretary,

00:06:00.620 she would rarely even see the president when she was the one in charge of moving the paper

00:06:04.860 and limiting legal liability and things like this massive scandal of the century.

00:06:08.920 There's nothing routine about setting up, quote unquote, decision memos to the president

00:06:12.700 and then getting an initial back without seeing the president actually approve it and then spitting

00:06:16.460 out an executive order, which for all I know may not have even matched what was in the decision

00:06:20.920 memo.

00:06:21.620 You know, President Trump has said maybe Biden didn't even know he opened the border.

00:06:25.140 And I think, you know, when you have this kind of process, that really buttresses the argument

00:06:29.220 that maybe he didn't actually know what was spitting out of these executive orders.

00:06:33.160 The New York Times separately releasing a write-up containing excerpts of its 10-minute

00:06:37.220 phone call with President Biden, the short blurbs containing many verbal stumbles and

00:06:41.920 fragmented thoughts.

00:06:43.580 Howell accuses the Times of running cover for Mr. Biden.

00:06:47.080 It's like a 10-minute interview.

00:06:49.120 I wonder why the New York Times didn't publish the audio of it.

00:06:51.560 That's pretty curious of them.

00:06:53.420 I would love to know how President Biden sounded in that because also a key element here is

00:06:58.180 his capacity altogether.

00:06:59.760 You know, it's his awareness of what was being done is one separate question from the fact

00:07:03.860 of whether he was mentally there to sign off on those things.

00:07:07.200 And so they don't address that issue whatsoever.

00:07:09.860 And I think them not publishing the 10-minute audio of the interview probably leads any reasonable

00:07:14.980 person to believe he probably didn't sound too sharp in that.

00:07:17.740 MK Media star Mark Halperin, host of Next Up with Mark Halperin, questioning why the Times

00:07:23.580 did not round out its piece with reaction from the appropriate people.

00:07:28.180 It's like that's basic journalism 101.

00:07:30.240 Biden is now taking the position that he could delegate pardons, right?

00:07:33.960 That's the position they took in the story.

00:07:35.840 Everything else is fine.

00:07:37.080 That's the one thing.

00:07:38.380 So what do law professors think about that?

00:07:41.020 What do Republicans think about that?

00:07:42.920 It's absent from the story.

00:07:44.240 I don't understand that as a matter of journalism, and I guarantee you if it were Republican,

00:07:48.360 they'd have both those things.

00:07:49.460 They'd have some hysterical law professor saying this is an impeachable offense, and

00:07:53.300 they'd have a Republican saying this needs to be investigated.

00:07:55.920 It's absent from the story.

00:07:57.180 It's madness.

00:07:58.580 Mike Howell also says the New York Times reporting vindicates the Oversight Project's investigation,

00:08:04.280 which the Times has criticized in the past.

00:08:07.240 In March, the New York Times published a piece calling us, or our investigation, a conspiracy

00:08:12.760 theory, and so last night, I guess they did a full 180, admitted we were right and they

00:08:18.320 were wrong.

00:08:19.200 I mean, it's clear their intent in that piece was trying to control the damage to the Biden

00:08:23.720 legacy, but I don't think it was effective in that.

00:08:26.760 I think this is absolute validation.

00:08:29.940 You know, you can't get better validation than when the opposition says you were right.

00:08:33.820 I mean, I knew we were right from day one, but when even the New York Times says you

00:08:38.660 were right, it's, you know, you kind of dismiss any objections that may remain out there.

00:08:43.680 They're just trying to say, oh, well, now we do admit it would have happened, but we

00:08:47.300 just don't think it was that bad.

00:08:49.020 There's a reason you do an interview like that with a place like the New York Times.

00:08:52.860 It's because people, the evidence is starting to come out and it doesn't look so good for

00:08:57.300 what's left of the legacy of President Biden.

00:08:59.660 Coming up, the Jeffrey Epstein story takes on a new twist and President Trump announcing

00:09:06.300 a new arrangement in supplying weapons to Ukraine.

00:09:13.520 I've been talking a lot about Riverbend Ranch steaks lately and for good reason.

00:09:18.280 The ranch is just a few miles from West Yellowstone, Montana, where we go in the wintertime, and their

00:09:24.200 steaks are so flavorful and surprisingly tender.

00:09:28.620 Even someone like me, who does not know how to cook, can make it taste delicious.

00:09:34.180 It's thanks to the quality of the beef.

00:09:36.620 A lot of our listeners have been writing in, sharing similar feedback.

00:09:39.460 Abigail Finan will not stop talking about Riverbend Ranch, and I feel the same.

00:09:43.560 So these guys raise Angus cattle, but they've taken it even further.

00:09:46.940 For 35 years now, more than three decades, the owner has selectively bred Angus cattle with

00:09:52.460 superior genetics for marbling and tenderness. 0.53

00:09:55.460 It's all about the marbling and the tenderness, creating a herd that truly stands out.

00:10:00.200 Their beef is born, raised, and processed, too, entirely inside America without artificial

00:10:05.620 growth hormones or antibiotics.

00:10:07.980 And it is shipped directly from the ranch to your door.

00:10:11.960 Riverbend Ranch is not just another beef company.

00:10:14.360 It's a legacy of quality care and craftsmanship that you can taste in every bite.

00:10:19.380 Order from RiverbendRanch.com.

00:10:22.520 Use the promo code MEGAN for $20 off your first order, and you'll be eating the same steak

00:10:27.800 that my family and I eat at night.

00:10:30.580 And let me know what you think.

00:10:32.300 RiverbendRanch.com, promo code MEGAN.

00:10:34.560 The Jeffrey Epstein story isn't going anywhere, not anytime soon, at least, despite the unsigned

00:10:43.460 leaked DOJ memo indicating the case is closed and that there will be no further disclosures.

00:10:49.100 CNN reporting two sources confirm FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino did report to work on Monday,

00:10:55.100 though Bongino's long-term future as Deputy Director appears uncertain.

00:11:00.040 Bongino reportedly taking a personal day on Friday following clashes with Attorney General

00:11:04.300 Pam Bondi over the handling of the Epstein story.

00:11:07.980 Vice President J.D. Vance reportedly spending the weekend mediating between A.G.

00:11:12.140 Bondi and Bongino.

00:11:13.940 On Sunday, President Trump praising Bongino on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews.

00:11:19.120 Oh, I think so.

00:11:20.280 I did.

00:11:20.760 I spoke to him today.

00:11:22.620 Dan Bongino, very good guy.

00:11:24.720 I've known him a long time.

00:11:26.580 I've done his show many, many times.

00:11:28.880 And he sounded terrific, actually.

00:11:30.960 No, I think he's in good shape.

00:11:32.240 The Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro discussing Monday on The Megyn Kelly Show the nature of the conflict

00:11:37.380 between Deputy Director Bongino and A.G.

00:11:40.200 Bondi.

00:11:40.780 My understanding is that the actual outcome of the DOJ investigation is properly stated

00:11:45.860 in that memo.

00:11:46.500 What he's upset about is if you oversell the story and you create a deliverable for the

00:11:51.020 FBI and then the FBI doesn't deliver, then that falls on Kash Patel and Dan Bongino.

00:11:55.480 And so Pam Bondi basically did that. 1.00

00:11:57.240 She went out there and ran her mouth without the actual goods to back it up. 1.00

00:12:01.080 And then when it turns out that it's Geraldo Rivera safe, then, of course, it makes Dan

00:12:05.560 look bad.

00:12:06.000 It makes Kash look bad.

00:12:07.060 It makes the president look bad and all the rest.

00:12:09.140 That's my understanding of this dispute.

00:12:10.840 And if that's the nature of the dispute, then obviously I'm very much on Dan Bongino's

00:12:14.120 side and Kash Patel's side.

00:12:15.200 Because, again, I think that Pam Bondi pretty clearly to the public made a bunch of statements

00:12:20.600 that were unrepresentative of the final DOJ-FBI memo that was released.

00:12:25.060 There is no way that Pam Bondi should not be doing a press conference where she at least 0.98

00:12:28.540 answers that question.

00:12:29.800 At the very least, I need to hear it from their mouth that we're releasing everything that

00:12:33.300 can be released.

00:12:34.920 Many Trump allies concurring with Shapiro's view that A.G.

00:12:38.160 Bondi could quell much of this criticism by holding an exhaustive press conference or

00:12:42.840 sitting with someone like your humble reporter.

00:12:45.760 Turning Point USA founder and informal advisor to President Trump, Charlie Kirk, Monday on

00:12:50.920 his show offering some leniency to the administration after a weekend of people criticizing them at

00:12:57.120 his Turning Point event, but stressing that the administration's handling of the Epstein

00:13:01.020 matter so far falls short.

00:13:03.220 Plenty was said this last weekend at our event about Epstein.

00:13:06.880 Honestly, I'm done talking about Epstein for the time being.

00:13:09.960 I'm going to trust my friends in the administration.

00:13:11.940 I'm going to trust my friends in the government to do what needs to be done, solve it,

00:13:15.860 balls in their hands.

00:13:16.960 But let me just say this again.

00:13:18.060 Everyone knows my opinion about the Epstein thing, the messaging fumble.

00:13:22.180 I would love to see the DOJ move to unseal the grand jury testimony.

00:13:26.640 I think that would be a big win.

00:13:28.200 I would love to see that.

00:13:29.740 And I'm going to trust my friends, Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, my friend Pam Bondi, all these

00:13:34.320 guys, Todd Blanche, I'm going to trust them to solve it.

00:13:37.480 Balls in their court. 0.50

00:13:38.540 I think that there was plenty of, let's say, speeches that were directed towards this topic

00:13:45.160 this last weekend.

00:13:46.580 Monday afternoon on The Benny Johnson Show, President Trump's daughter-in-law, Laura Trump,

00:13:50.820 teasing more information will be released.

00:13:53.340 I do think that there needs to be more transparency on this.

00:13:57.620 And I think that that will happen.

00:13:59.440 I mean, look, I don't know what truly exists there, but I know that this is something that's

00:14:05.160 important to the president as well.

00:14:06.600 He does want transparency on all these fronts.

00:14:08.940 Everything we're talking about, because it's frustrated him as well.

00:14:12.600 As it relates to the president, I know that this is probably not his number one thing

00:14:17.760 he's focused on, but he hears all the noise and he hears all of the consternation out there.

00:14:22.080 And I think he's going to want to set things right as well.

00:14:24.020 So I believe that there will probably be more coming on this.

00:14:27.840 And I believe anything that they are able to release that doesn't damage any witnesses

00:14:33.020 or anyone underage or anything like that, I believe they'll probably try to get out sooner 1.00

00:14:38.020 rather than later, because they hear it and they understand it.

00:14:41.160 Last night, Benny Johnson posting on X, quote, just got off the phone with top federal law

00:14:45.020 enforcement contact. The change in approach to Epstein has been dramatic.

00:14:49.400 Expect more disclosures. Some very powerful people inside administration are now pushing

00:14:54.460 for a special counsel and a full press briefing on Epstein findings.

00:14:59.000 We'll have new reporting on this today on The Megyn Kelly Show and throughout the week.

00:15:04.840 President Trump announcing a shift in U.S. policy towards supplying arms to Ukraine.

00:15:09.880 The U.S. will begin selling weapons to NATO allies who will then send those supplies to Ukraine.

00:15:15.400 Axios reporting the first wave of purchases will be worth about $10 billion, including missiles,

00:15:20.440 air defense weaponry and artillery shells.

00:15:23.280 President Trump on Monday from the Oval with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte signaling a shift

00:15:28.600 in favor of Ukraine with this new deal.

00:15:30.940 The purpose of this is to say that this is a very big deal we've made. This is

00:15:34.960 billions of dollars worth of military equipment is going to be purchased

00:15:38.980 from the United States going to NATO, etc.

00:15:41.880 That's going to be quickly distributed to the battlefield. Ukraine will take it up. 0.86

00:15:47.620 And, you know, say what you want about Ukraine. When the war started, they had no chance.

00:15:52.800 And they still would have had no chance if the equipment, they had the best equipment,

00:15:58.040 because we do make the best planes and missiles.

00:16:00.940 And we make the best military equipment in the world by far.
