00:02:27.680 President Trump on Saturday afternoon publicly backing Attorney General Pam Bondi in the wake of the disastrous handling of the Jeffrey Epstein file story.
00:02:35.660 Many in MAGA world deeply frustrated and furious with the DOJ's lack of transparency following months of A.G. Bondi teasing the pending release of more information, including names of Epstein associates, only then for there to be a leak of an unsigned memo to Axios on a Sunday night proclaiming the case closed, saying there will be no more charges and no more information released.
00:02:59.360 A sampling here of voices from the right at the weekend's Turning Point Student Action Summit in Tampa.
00:03:05.660 She also brought in some of our best influencers, people that I care about deeply, Jack Posobiec, who's incredible, Libs of TikTok, Chaya, D.C. Drano.
00:03:16.300 And she gave them these binders and she humiliated them.
00:03:20.140 She is the reason that things are unraveling around this story right now that virtually all the Republican Party cares deeply about.
00:03:26.460 She had made the binders.
00:03:28.220 She bragged about making the cover sheet that read Epstein files, phase one, and she handed them out.
00:03:35.140 Don't let anybody insult you, anybody, and I mean anybody, ever get away with insulting you instead of answering a legitimate question, okay, ever.
00:03:46.740 This is a party, this is a movement that is so transparent that even their cover-ups are transparent.
00:03:54.840 They're not even trying.
00:03:56.360 The New York Post and others reporting Friday on clashes between A.G. Bondi and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino last week.
00:04:04.280 Deputy Director Bongino reportedly taking a personal day on Friday, considering resignation.
00:04:10.400 This journalist's reporting backs this up, that Bongino made clear either Bondi must leave or he will,
00:04:16.880 though my sources say there may be a softening on that front depending on how things are handled in the coming days.
00:04:22.600 An unnamed Justice Department official telling The Post,
00:04:26.100 Director Kash Patel may follow if Bongino resigns, however, Patel countering that narrative on X over the weekend.
00:04:32.960 Your humble correspondence information is that Kash Patel is not threatening to leave, and there's no danger of that.
00:04:39.700 President Trump posting to Truth Social on Saturday, quote,
00:04:42.440 What's going on with my boys and, in some cases, gals?
00:04:46.700 They're all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a fantastic job.
00:04:51.280 We're on one team, MAGA, and I don't like what's happening.
00:04:54.320 We have a perfect administration, the talk of the world, and selfish people are trying to hurt it,
00:04:59.200 all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.
00:05:02.000 For years, it's Epstein over and over again.
00:05:04.420 Why are we giving publicity to files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey,
00:05:08.760 Brennan, and the losers and criminals of the Biden administration?
00:05:12.300 They created the Epstein files, just like they created the fake Hillary Clinton-Christopher
00:05:16.680 Steele dossier that they used on me.
00:05:19.380 And now my so-called friends are playing right into their hands.
00:05:22.400 Why didn't these radical left lunatics release the Epstein files?
00:05:25.640 If there was anything in there that could have hurt the MAGA movement, why didn't they use it?
00:05:29.980 Kash Patel and the FBI must be focused on investigating voter fraud,
00:05:33.740 political corruption, Act Blue, the rigged and stolen election of 2020,
00:05:38.380 and arresting thugs and criminals, instead of spending month after month looking at nothing
00:05:41.860 but the same old radical left-inspired documents on Jeffrey Epstein.
00:05:45.940 Let Pam Bondi do her job.
00:05:48.120 She's great.
00:05:49.500 It must be noted here that many in the president's orbit pushed the Epstein case
00:05:53.780 and promised transparency if Trump were elected, including people like Dan Bongino,
00:05:58.660 Kash Patel, and Don Jr.
00:06:00.840 Patel posting to X Saturday afternoon, quote,
00:06:03.900 the conspiracy theories just aren't true, never have been.
00:06:07.440 It's an honor to serve the president of the United States, Donald Trump,
00:06:10.700 and I'll continue to do so for as long as he calls on me.
00:06:14.200 Democrats who have spent the last six years accusing anyone interested in the Jeffrey Epstein
00:06:19.160 story of being a conspiracy theorist now suddenly piling on, criticizing the Trump
00:06:24.740 administration for failing to deliver on promises of transparency.
00:06:28.180 California Governor Gavin Newsom and U.S. Senator John Ossoff of Georgia separately here.
00:06:34.760 Really, Trump?
00:06:35.620 Show us.
00:06:36.360 What do you got?
00:06:37.280 Where's the transparency?
00:06:38.660 What carnies?
00:06:39.620 What flim flammers?
00:06:40.860 What music men?
00:06:42.020 What bullshit artists these guys are?
00:06:44.160 Not even good ones either.
00:06:45.160 Not even good ones.
00:06:46.240 He promised to release the Epstein files.
00:06:48.400 Did anyone really think the sexual predator president who used to party with Jeffrey Epstein
00:06:56.460 was going to release the Epstein files?
00:06:59.040 U.S. Congressman of Maryland Jamie Raskin Friday on MSNBC suddenly super interested in
00:07:04.480 Jeffrey Epstein, calling for hearings.
00:07:06.700 Of course, as a Democrat in the House minority, he can't actually mandate one.
00:07:10.500 It would be much better for everybody to come clean and let's vindicate the public interest
00:07:15.880 here.
00:07:16.140 I'm going to be asking Chairman Jordan to call for a hearing where we subpoena the Attorney
00:07:22.180 General and Dan Bongino and Kash Patel to come in and tell us everything that we know,
00:07:28.020 because this thing is really spinning out of control at this point.
00:07:31.160 And there's one way to put it to rest, which is to come clean as President Trump promised
00:07:35.560 he would during the campaign.
00:07:36.680 Republican Congresswoman from Florida, Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the House Oversight
00:07:41.240 Committee and a MAGA ally, saying on Fox News, her task force on declassification of federal
00:07:46.940 secrets will continue looking for answers.
00:07:49.460 I believe the reason why Americans are so frustrated with this process is because of the way that
00:07:55.340 there has been conflicting information out of the Department of Justice.
00:07:58.940 And so what I'm going to be doing along with my task force is requesting information not
00:08:03.480 pertaining to victims, not pertaining to CSAM, that should be out there for the American people
00:08:08.060 to decide.
00:08:08.680 I will say that the way that the administration rolled out the JFK files, of which, by the
00:08:12.780 way, there has been groundbreaking discoveries in those rollouts, is literally the gold standard
00:08:17.120 for declassification.
00:08:18.580 And there is trust in transparency.
00:08:20.860 And so I will encourage them to continue to do that.
00:08:23.580 This story is far from over.
00:08:24.780 Our reporting continues this week on The Megyn Kelly Show.
00:08:27.840 Coming up, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem slamming a Biden-appointed judge's ruling
00:08:34.180 accusing ICE of conducting indiscriminate roundups in its mass deportation efforts.
00:08:39.920 And a brand new report shedding light on the Secret Service's stunning failures one year
00:08:45.020 ago in Butler, Pennsylvania.
00:08:47.100 One congressman says more accountability is still needed.
00:08:50.340 As President Trump is settling into his new administration, one of the top Democrats in
00:08:58.920 Congress aiming to undermine the Trump agenda is Democrat Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois.
00:09:04.260 And according to our sponsor, the Electronic Payments Coalition, Senator Durbin has a new
00:09:09.560 plan, a government takeover of your credit card.
00:09:12.600 Today, Americans have thousands of choices in credit cards, but they say Senator Durbin's plan
00:09:17.700 will result in less competition and less security, which means more risk for your credit and your
00:09:23.360 identity.
00:09:24.180 You can learn more for yourself at guardyourcard.com.
00:09:27.920 And you could consider telling your senators to stop Dick Durbin's government takeover of
00:09:32.580 your credit card before it's too late.
00:09:37.960 On Friday, a Biden-appointed judge in California, Mame Uisi Mensah Frimpong, who is American with
00:09:46.360 parents from Ghana, ruling some aspects of the Trump administration's mass deportation efforts
00:09:51.480 in the state are likely unconstitutional.
00:09:54.260 The ACLU of Southern California leading the lawsuit, along with other immigrant advocacy
00:09:58.680 groups, on behalf of individuals who have been arrested in recent weeks.
00:10:03.240 These groups accusing the government of conducting, quote, roving patrols, indiscriminately rounding
00:10:08.140 up individuals without reasonable suspicion, they say, then denying access to legal representation.
00:10:13.580 In her 52-page order, the judge stating ICE agents may not rely on the following factors
00:10:19.440 when making arrests, quote, apparent race or ethnicity, speaking Spanish or speaking English
00:10:25.540 with an accent, presence at a particular location, bus stop, car wash, tow yard, day labor pickup
00:10:30.820 site, agricultural site, etc., or the type of work one does.
00:10:35.760 U.S. District Attorney for Central California, Bill Asaley, posting on X, quote, we strongly disagree
00:10:41.920 with the allegations in the lawsuit and maintain that our agents have never detained individuals
00:10:46.760 without proper legal justification.
00:10:49.240 Our federal agents will continue to enforce the law and abide by the U.S. Constitution.
00:10:54.400 Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem at a Saturday press briefing going a step further
00:10:59.060 in reacting to this judge, who she mistakenly refers to here as a he.
00:11:03.640 Yeah, he's an idiot.
00:11:05.580 I mean, he's frankly an idiot.
00:11:07.720 We have all the right in the world to go out on the streets and to uphold the law and to
00:11:12.140 do what we're going to do.
00:11:12.740 So none of our operations are going to change.
00:11:14.720 He made claims that were absolutely false.
00:11:17.200 We are building cases.
00:11:18.480 We are going in on doing our operations and planning them against individuals that we know
00:11:23.780 are dangerous, that are violent, that have criminal activity that they've been involved
00:11:28.920 in, and that's how we're building our cases.
00:11:30.560 So he's making up garbage, filing decisions, and we're going to appeal it, and we're going
00:11:35.120 to win.
00:11:35.440 But just to follow up, before the kill, you said you're going to continue those operations.
00:11:39.100 Yeah, our operations will continue.
00:11:41.000 We will be in compliance with all federal judges' orders, but what he said that we couldn't
00:11:45.520 do is go out and target people based on other qualifications that he made up.
00:11:50.220 We're going to continue to do our investigations on criminal activity and uphold the law.
00:11:54.460 On Thursday, one day prior to this order, ICE officials arresting more than 300 illegal
00:11:59.640 immigrants at a marijuana farm in California.
00:12:02.720 Protesters turning out, clashing with ICE agents in a chaotic scene.
00:12:06.740 The FBI currently offering a $50,000 reward for the capture of one protester appearing to
00:12:12.120 fire a gun toward ICE agents amid the unrest.
00:12:15.520 One farm worker climbing onto a greenhouse roof, then falling off and later dying from his injuries.
00:12:20.600 On Sunday, Secretary Noem on NBC describing some of the people detained in the marijuana
00:12:26.560 farm operation.
00:12:28.020 People have heard the president say over and over again about how important it is that we
00:12:31.540 continue to go after the worst of the worst.
00:12:33.680 This week, we've got murderers off the street, rapists, child pedophiles.
00:12:36.940 If you look at that marijuana grow facility that we recently just did an operation on, over
00:12:41.840 319 individuals were brought into custody and 14 unaccompanied children that are children
00:12:48.700 that means that they don't have their parents with them.
00:12:51.340 They're working in a facility where they could be exploited, trafficked, maybe sex trafficked.
00:12:56.100 And then we've got individuals there who are working at the same facility who are creating,
00:13:01.080 distributing, and taking advantage of children for child pornography.
00:13:06.600 So this is something that President Trump has taken seriously.
00:13:09.940 President Trump posting to Truth Social on Friday evening, quote,
00:13:12.760 I am on my way back from Texas and watched in disbelief as thugs were violently throwing
00:13:18.060 rocks and bricks at ICE officers while they were moving down a roadway in their car and
00:13:22.740 or official vehicle.
00:13:24.220 I'm directing Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, and Border Czar, Tom Homan, to instruct
00:13:29.100 all ICE, Homeland Security, or any other law enforcement officer who's on the receiving end of thrown
00:13:34.400 rocks, bricks, or any other form of assault to stop their car and arrest these slime balls.
00:13:40.160 A brand new report from the Government Accountability Office shining new light on the colossal security
00:13:47.840 failures leading up to the Butler, Pennsylvania rally one year ago yesterday that nearly cost
00:13:53.260 then-candidate Trump his life.
00:13:55.560 Among several key findings of the report, ordered by U.S. Senator from Iowa Chuck Grassley,
00:14:00.860 senior-level Secret Service agents were alerted 10 days before the rally of a classified threat
00:14:06.340 to President Trump.
00:14:07.280 From the report, quote,
00:14:09.000 This information was not specific to the July 13th rally or gunmen.
00:14:13.340 Nonetheless, due to the Secret Service's siloed practice for sharing classified threat information,
00:14:18.880 Secret Service and local law enforcement personnel central to developing site security plans for
00:14:23.240 the rally were unaware of the threat.
00:14:26.360 The report also concluding key roles were filled by inexperienced agents.
00:14:30.900 The agent responsible for identifying vulnerabilities at the site was new to the job, the Butler rally
00:14:36.620 being, quote, her first time planning and securing a large outdoor event as the site agent.
00:14:42.880 Former New York State Homeland Security advisor Michael Balboni on Fox News calling out the stunning
00:14:47.840 severity of these lapses.
00:14:50.060 Outland report is this failure of sharing the intelligence.
00:14:53.540 That is absolutely crucial.
00:14:54.880 The way the Secret Service works, I've been involved in several national security events,
00:14:59.740 is they work directly hand-in-hand with local law enforcement.
00:15:03.900 Everything from the law enforcement handling traffic, being able to handle pedestrian flow within the venue.
00:15:11.220 Very, very important to have that kind of support.
00:15:13.240 But crucial is also sharing intelligence.
00:15:15.900 To not do that.
00:15:17.120 And then to have the site agent who is supposed to be doing a vulnerability assessment, not having the experience.
00:15:24.360 I mean, this is, at the time, the candidate for president, but a former president.
00:15:29.500 And frankly, in an incredibly, in one of the most polarized political situations that we have ever witnessed in the United States.
00:15:37.020 And to put somebody who's new for this type of site in charge of this is an abject failure.
00:15:43.500 What is so stunning is not only the fact that the president was nearly killed, but the fact that a man with a weapon got that close.
00:15:51.780 That, in and of itself, that's where the failure began, you know, to not be able to secure that perimeter.
00:15:57.900 The report also revealing requests for additional security measures were not fulfilled, including an advanced counter-drone system.
00:16:05.120 The agent in charge of the counter-drone detection equipment on that day telling investigators he only had one hour of training.
00:16:13.040 The equipment malfunctioning in the hours leading up to the rally as the shooter was able to fly a drone over the venue undetected.
00:16:20.640 The Secret Service last week releasing a one-year-later review confirming six agents received brief suspensions for failures on that day.
00:16:29.560 Critics say it was a slap on the wrist.
00:16:31.640 Republican Congressman from Arizona Andy Biggs Sunday on Fox suggesting more reforms and disciplinary action may be necessary.
00:16:40.160 We expected some of these findings.
00:16:43.220 The 10-day window that they knew that there was going to be a threat on President Trump's life, it was in jeopardy.
00:16:49.320 And they didn't bother to communicate that to any of their partners.
00:16:52.380 That's inexcusable.
00:16:53.920 You have somebody who's inexperienced trying to run the scene.
00:16:57.660 That doesn't make sense.
00:16:59.480 The fact that you don't have any kind of their communications was inadequate between the different agencies.
00:17:04.780 The fact that the co-training was inadequate is amazing.
00:17:08.580 The fact that you don't have a drone.
00:17:11.640 The fact that President Trump's team requested additional security and they didn't get that.
00:17:16.900 All of these things, not to mention the actual things that were happening that day.
00:17:22.300 This was just a disastrous performance.
00:17:25.280 And I am surprised, quite frankly, that you have six people on the ground who become the fall guys for this.
00:17:33.020 I wonder how high up we should have gone and who should be held accountable even above those six.
00:17:38.620 But I'm not sure still that we have all the answers that we need.
00:17:43.040 And nor have we seen the changes that are necessary to improve this agency where it needs to be.
00:17:47.760 President Trump's Saturday on Fox News offering a more forgiving response to the Secret Service in an interview with his daughter-in-law, Laura Trump.
00:17:56.300 So they briefed me numerous times.
00:17:59.740 The FBI, the Secret Service, sort of everybody.
00:18:03.660 DOJ, Pamela's doing a fantastic, I think she's doing a fantastic job.
00:18:08.260 But they briefed me and I'm satisfied with it.
00:18:10.960 I'm satisfied with it.
00:18:12.440 They should have had somebody in the building.
00:18:14.320 That was a mistake.
00:18:15.180 They should have had communications with the local police.
00:18:17.840 They weren't tied in.
00:18:19.000 And they should have been tied in.
00:18:20.300 So there were mistakes made.
00:18:21.840 And that, you know, shouldn't have happened.
00:18:23.960 And that building was a prime building in terms of what they were trying to do.
00:18:27.960 But I was satisfied in terms of the bigger plot, the larger plot.
00:18:32.340 I was satisfied.
00:18:33.880 And, you know, I have great confidence in these people.
00:18:36.040 I know the people.
00:18:37.040 And they're very talented, very capable.
00:18:39.100 They had a bad day.
00:18:40.220 And I think they'll admit that.
00:18:41.880 They had a rough day.
00:18:42.820 This is a very dangerous job being president.
00:18:46.040 Meanwhile, one year later, we still know relatively little about the shooter, Thomas Crooks,
00:18:51.040 age 20, who was killed in Butler by the Secret Service.
00:18:54.540 He left no manifesto and his parents have never spoken publicly about him.
