00:00:00.780 Oh boy, this laundry's piling up.

00:00:03.600 What? Did you say something?

00:00:07.220 Okay.

00:00:08.480 At least tell me fold.

00:00:10.380 Yeah, I don't think so.

00:00:12.140 I need less of you.

00:00:13.920 And lose all this, babe?

00:00:30.000 Good morning, everyone. I'm Megan Kelly.

00:00:34.900 It's Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, and this is your AM Update.

00:00:39.640 Jeffrey Epstein visited the White House 17 times while Bill Clinton was president.

00:00:43.820 The Clintons defy congressional subpoenas from the House Oversight Committee

00:00:47.640 in its investigation into the DOJ's handling of Jeffrey Epstein.

00:00:51.740 We're not making any payments to sanctuary cities or states having sanctuary cities.

00:00:57.620 President Trump announces the next phase in his crackdown on illegal immigration.

00:01:03.040 The president telling Iranian protesters to keep it up as the U.S. weighs options for possible intervention.

00:01:09.720 And gone too soon.

00:01:12.180 The brilliant Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert comic, author, and truly consequential thinker, dies at 68.

00:01:20.000 All that and more coming up in just a moment on your AM Update.

00:01:23.820 Our sponsor, the Electronic Payments Coalition, says Washington politicians are always getting in your wallet

00:01:34.040 and that now they're messing with your credit card.

00:01:36.780 They say your credit card and the security it offers are under attack

00:01:39.580 and that Senators Dick Durbin and Roger Marshall want to change the nation's payment system

00:01:43.660 in a way that would benefit corporate megastores like Walmart and Target at the expense of everyday Americans.

00:01:50.060 Credit cards can keep your payments secure and they can provide rewards that families use

00:01:55.300 to help make everyday purchases more affordable.

00:01:57.620 The Electronic Payments Coalition says the Durbin-Marshall mandates

00:02:01.060 would let corporate megastores cut corners on credit card processing,

00:02:04.620 routing transactions over cheaper, untested networks with weaker security and fewer protections.

00:02:10.820 Find out more at guardyourcard.com and consider telling Congress to guard your card.

00:02:17.160 Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

00:02:21.240 refusing to comply with congressional subpoenas,

00:02:24.880 compelling testimony before the House Oversight Committee,

00:02:27.680 which is investigating the DOJ's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case.

00:02:32.480 Chairman Comer setting a Tuesday deadline for Bill Clinton to participate,

00:02:36.740 a Wednesday deadline for the Mrs.

00:02:39.100 Hours before yesterday's scheduled appearance,

00:02:41.600 the Clintons submitting a joint letter to Chairman Comer

00:02:44.220 indicating they do not intend to appear.

00:02:47.640 From the letter, quote,

00:02:48.900 Every person has to decide when they have seen or had enough

00:02:52.820 and are ready to fight for this country, its principles, and its people,

00:02:56.880 no matter the consequences.

00:02:59.200 For us, now is that time.

00:03:02.200 The Clintons maintaining they have no relevant knowledge,

00:03:05.180 challenging Chairman Comer's refusal to accept a sworn statement instead of testimony.

00:03:09.500 Quote,

00:03:10.180 You will say it is not our decision to make,

00:03:12.940 but we have made it.

00:03:14.780 Now you have to make yours.

00:03:17.320 Oh, snap! 1.00

00:03:18.980 Clinton lawyers submitting an eight-page letter to the committee

00:03:21.780 outlining the reasons they say,

00:03:23.320 The subpoenas issued to President and Secretary Clinton

00:03:26.680 are invalid and legally unenforceable.

00:03:29.880 Among the reasons, the legal team asserting their in-person testimony

00:03:33.140 has no purpose here other than to embarrass and harass the Clintons.

00:03:37.660 Lawyers also writing,

00:03:38.640 Quote,

00:03:38.800 The testimony sought by the subpoenas has no pertinence

00:03:41.360 to the stated purpose of the committee's investigation,

00:03:44.540 arguing Chairman Comer failed to explain

00:03:46.460 why the Clintons' testimony would be relevant.

00:03:49.260 Chairman Comer, holding up a large binder

00:03:51.140 to reporters on the Hill yesterday morning,

00:03:53.260 speaking about the line of questioning

00:03:54.740 the committee intended to pursue.

00:03:57.040 One reason I think most Americans 0.74

00:03:58.860 want President Clinton to answer some questions

00:04:01.400 is because Jeffrey Epstein visited the White House

00:04:04.240 17 times while Bill Clinton was president.

00:04:07.040 I've been in Congress nine years.

00:04:09.460 I think I've been to the White House nine times in nine years.

00:04:12.240 Epstein was in the White House

00:04:13.800 double the amount of time that I was under one president.

00:04:17.020 And then we know that Bill Clinton flew on Epstein's plane

00:04:21.540 somewhere around 27 times after the presidency.

00:04:26.160 So no one's accusing Bill Clinton of any wrongdoing.

00:04:29.320 We just have questions.

00:04:30.580 And that's why the Democrats voted along with Republicans

00:04:33.180 to subpoena Bill Clinton.

00:04:35.120 There's also that photo of Bill Clinton in Epstein's hot tub.

00:04:39.720 Chairman Comer going on to state, however,

00:04:41.480 that no committee Democrats showed up yesterday

00:04:44.740 for the scheduled deposition,

00:04:46.460 casting doubt on their professed concern

00:04:48.900 in matters concerning Epstein.

00:04:50.840 Not a single Democrat showed up today.

00:04:53.160 Not a single Democrat.

00:04:54.320 The ones that have press conferences on the Capitol steps

00:04:57.180 and talk about how they're trying to get justice

00:04:59.500 for the victims and all that.

00:05:01.460 It just seems like they only care

00:05:03.080 about questioning Republicans.

00:05:05.800 And we've had,

00:05:06.560 we've had a former Trump cabinet secretary,

00:05:09.140 Acosta in for a grilling.

00:05:11.820 We had Bill Barr,

00:05:13.280 former attorney general in for a grilling.

00:05:15.940 But for whatever reason,

00:05:17.860 President Clinton didn't show up

00:05:19.240 and the Democrats on the committee

00:05:20.480 don't seem to have a problem.

00:05:22.900 The New York Times reporting

00:05:24.000 the Clintons beefing up their legal team,

00:05:26.420 gearing up for a fight by hiring a lawyer

00:05:28.300 who previously worked under Chairman Comer

00:05:30.560 on the oversight committee.

00:05:32.160 We asked senior counsel at the Article 3 project,

00:05:34.800 Will Chamberlain,

00:05:35.640 how he thinks this is going to play out.

00:05:37.200 Well, the next thing that's going to happen

00:05:38.900 is that it's going to go for a criminal referral

00:05:41.020 by James Comer on the floor of the House.

00:05:42.860 And if that passes,

00:05:43.660 which I expect it will,

00:05:44.700 DOJ is going to prosecute.

00:05:46.000 Remember that both Steve Bannon

00:05:48.000 and Peter Devaro got prosecuted

00:05:49.460 for the exact same thing,

00:05:51.180 defying a congressional subpoena.

00:05:52.760 So I see no reason

00:05:53.780 why the Clintons would avoid their fate.

00:05:55.740 Bannon was convicted in July 2022

00:05:57.880 on two counts of criminal contempt of Congress

00:06:00.740 for defying a subpoena

00:06:02.580 issued by the House Select Committee

00:06:04.580 investigating the January 6th riot.

00:06:06.920 He served four months in prison.

00:06:09.460 Former White House Trade Advisor Peter Navarro

00:06:11.700 also convicted of criminal contempt of Congress.

00:06:14.700 He too served four months.

00:06:16.760 Chairman Comer announcing

00:06:17.780 he will move next week

00:06:19.000 to hold President Clinton

00:06:20.260 in contempt of Congress.

00:06:21.960 Similar action likely to follow

00:06:23.340 if Secretary Clinton dodges her deposition,

00:06:26.000 set for later this morning, as expected.

00:06:28.720 In 2021,

00:06:30.020 after Steve Bannon was first indicted,

00:06:32.480 a supporter of Mrs. Clinton's tweeted,

00:06:34.480 you know who is not going to jail

00:06:36.860 and has never been indicted for anything?

00:06:40.140 The post included a picture of Mrs. Clinton

00:06:42.140 along with the salutation,

00:06:44.020 have a great weekend.

00:06:45.620 Mrs. Clinton responded with, 0.99

00:06:47.340 thanks, it was quite restful.

00:06:49.620 We'll see if her cockiness remains 1.00

00:06:51.640 once Pam Bondi gets involved. 1.00

00:06:53.500 The Trump administration officially ending

00:06:57.500 Temporary Protected Status,

00:06:59.320 or TPS, for Somalia,

00:07:01.460 effective March 17th.

00:07:03.660 Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem

00:07:05.480 posting yesterday on X,

00:07:07.040 quote,

00:07:07.640 Temporary means temporary.

00:07:09.900 Country conditions in Somalia

00:07:11.220 have improved to the point

00:07:12.540 that it no longer meets the law's requirement

00:07:14.640 for temporary protected status.

00:07:17.220 Further, allowing Somali nationals

00:07:18.920 to remain temporarily in the U.S.

00:07:20.840 is contrary to our national interests.

00:07:24.020 The U.S. granting TPS to Somalia in 1991

00:07:26.880 amid a civil war in their country,

00:07:29.880 the Biden administration

00:07:30.840 extending the protections in September 2024.

00:07:34.300 Immigrants living in the U.S. under TPS

00:07:36.180 can obtain work authorization

00:07:37.600 and are protected from removal.

00:07:40.140 President Trump first announcing

00:07:41.340 the intention to remove Somalia 1.00

00:07:43.020 from the list of nations eligible

00:07:44.560 for TPS status in November.

00:07:47.040 On Truth Social,

00:07:47.880 writing that Minnesota is,

00:07:49.100 a hub of fraudulent money-laundering activity.

00:07:53.040 In practice,

00:07:53.600 this policy change will affect

00:07:54.980 only a small percentage of Somalians

00:07:57.020 living in the U.S.

00:07:58.540 According to U.S. Citizenship

00:07:59.940 and Immigration Services,

00:08:01.500 just under 2,500 Somali nationals

00:08:03.680 currently live in the U.S. under TPS,

00:08:06.320 with an additional 1,383 in the country

00:08:09.400 under pending applications.

00:08:11.540 These numbers represent a small fraction

00:08:13.360 of the nearly 260,000 people

00:08:16.140 of Somali descent living in America.

00:08:19.220 According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau,

00:08:21.440 most of whom are citizens.

00:08:23.600 President Trump yesterday in Detroit

00:08:25.100 underscoring a zero-tolerance approach

00:08:27.320 toward any naturalized citizen

00:08:29.060 guilty of fraud.

00:08:30.700 We're also going to revoke the citizenship 1.00

00:08:32.940 of any naturalized immigrant from Somalia

00:08:36.100 or anywhere else who is convicted

00:08:38.420 of defrauding our citizens.

00:08:39.980 We're going to get them the hell out of here first. 0.95

00:08:41.740 And if you come to America to rob Americans, 0.99

00:08:45.200 we're throwing you in jail 0.98

00:08:47.060 and we're sending you back to the place

00:08:49.680 from where you came.

00:08:51.020 We're throwing you right in jail.

00:08:53.120 As the Trump administration aims to conduct

00:08:55.420 the largest mass deportation effort in history,

00:08:58.800 the president also yesterday announcing

00:09:00.580 additional steps to punish cities and states

00:09:03.400 that ban local police from cooperating

00:09:06.080 with federal immigration enforcement.

00:09:07.760 Additionally, starting February 1st,

00:09:10.040 we're not making any payments to sanctuary cities

00:09:13.200 or states having sanctuary cities

00:09:15.960 because they do everything possible

00:09:18.220 to protect criminals at the expense

00:09:20.100 of American citizens.

00:09:21.260 And it breeds fraud and crime

00:09:23.580 and all of the other problems that come.

00:09:25.300 So we're not making any payment

00:09:26.440 to anybody that supports sanctuary cities.

00:09:29.640 The DOJ has identified 11 states

00:09:32.280 as sanctuary jurisdictions,

00:09:34.140 including California, Illinois, Minnesota,

00:09:36.500 and New York, to name a few.

00:09:38.680 The president's action likely to meet legal challenges.

00:09:41.580 Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson already posted on X,

00:09:44.520 quote, see you in court at real Donald Trump.

00:09:48.960 Coming up, President Trump encourages Iranian protesters 1.00

00:09:52.300 to continue rallying against the oppressive regime

00:09:55.160 as he reportedly weighs options for U.S. intervention.

00:09:58.480 And the much-beloved creator

00:10:01.280 of the Dilbert comic strip, Scott Adams, passes away.

00:10:11.820 Our sponsor, the Electronic Payments Coalition,

00:10:14.540 says Washington politicians

00:10:15.980 are always getting in your wallet

00:10:18.060 and that now they're messing with your credit card.

00:10:20.780 They say your credit card

00:10:21.700 and the security it offers are under attack

00:10:23.600 and that Senators Dick Durbin and Roger Marshall

00:10:25.860 want to change the nation's payment system

00:10:27.700 in a way that would benefit corporate megastores

00:10:29.920 like Walmart and Target

00:10:31.160 at the expense of everyday Americans.

00:10:34.080 Credit cards can keep your payments secure

00:10:36.260 and they can provide rewards that families use

00:10:39.320 to help make everyday purchases more affordable.

00:10:41.640 The Electronic Payments Coalition

00:10:43.140 says the Durbin-Marshall mandates

00:10:45.080 would let corporate megastores cut corners

00:10:47.460 on credit card processing,

00:10:48.860 routing transactions over cheaper,

00:10:51.100 untested networks

00:10:51.900 with weaker security and fewer protections.

00:10:56.700 and consider telling Congress to guard your card.

00:11:01.200 President Trump ratcheting up pressure

00:11:03.240 on the Iranian regime

00:11:04.340 as civilian protesters continue demonstrating

00:11:06.840 in the streets.

00:11:08.420 Iranian security forces cracking down harshly,

00:11:11.280 though total deaths are hard to tally.

00:11:13.480 A U.S.-based human rights activist's news agency

00:11:16.700 reporting 1,850 protesters have been killed,

00:11:20.580 thousands more detained.

00:11:21.860 The totals could be far higher.

00:11:24.580 Two sources inside the country telling CBS News

00:11:26.980 that as many as 20,000 people have been killed.

00:11:30.100 Mr. Trump yesterday from Detroit

00:11:31.640 calling on Iranians to increase the momentum.

00:11:34.420 To all Iranian patriots,

00:11:37.120 keep protesting,

00:11:39.180 take over your institutions if possible,

00:11:42.020 and save the name of the killers

00:11:43.560 and the abusers that are abusing you.

00:11:45.920 You're being very badly abused

00:11:47.560 if the numbers are right.

00:11:49.180 Look, one death is too much.

00:11:51.360 But I hear much lower numbers

00:11:52.680 and then I hear much higher numbers.

00:11:54.660 But I say save their names

00:11:57.120 because they'll pay a very big price.

00:11:59.420 And I've canceled all meetings

00:12:00.720 with the Iranian officials

00:12:02.000 until the senseless killing of protesters stops.

00:12:05.580 And all I say to them is help is on its way.

00:12:07.840 You saw that I put tariffs

00:12:09.040 on anybody doing business with Iran.

00:12:11.380 Just went into effect today.

00:12:12.660 And I say make Iran great again.

00:12:16.260 You know, it was a great country 0.82

00:12:17.240 until these monsters came in and took it over.

00:12:20.440 The Iranian foreign minister

00:12:21.700 reaching out to Special Envoy Steve Wyckoff

00:12:24.200 over the weekend

00:12:24.900 to de-escalate tensions with the U.S.,

00:12:27.020 according to Axios.

00:12:28.740 Mr. Trump confirming Sunday

00:12:29.940 that a meeting with Iranian officials

00:12:31.540 was being set up,

00:12:32.980 but had not yet taken place.

00:12:34.880 The president, however,

00:12:35.920 announcing yesterday

00:12:36.740 any meetings with Iranian officials

00:12:38.540 are canceled until the killing stops.

00:12:40.880 Defense officials briefing the president yesterday

00:12:43.380 on available options against Iran,

00:12:45.660 including covert tools like cyber

00:12:47.600 and psychological ops

00:12:48.980 that go, quote,

00:12:50.220 well beyond conventional airstrikes, per CBS.

00:12:54.060 The options presented reportedly

00:12:55.360 could be deployed along with military force

00:12:57.600 or work as standalone operations.

00:13:00.580 Press Secretary Caroline Levitt on Monday saying

00:13:02.820 airstrikes are one of many options

00:13:04.900 at the president's disposal.

00:13:06.760 The State Department yesterday

00:13:07.880 issuing notice to all U.S. citizens in Iran.

00:13:10.460 to leave immediately.

00:13:14.840 Scott Adams, beloved creator

00:13:16.880 of the Dilbert comic strip

00:13:18.340 and brilliant social and political thinker,

00:13:21.100 died yesterday following a battle

00:13:22.680 with prostate cancer.

00:13:24.360 He was 68.

00:13:26.080 Scott announcing his illness last May,

00:13:28.480 telling fans it was not a new diagnosis,

00:13:30.600 but had developed to stage four,

00:13:32.540 spreading into his bones,

00:13:34.280 leaving him with little time left.

00:13:36.240 In the final weeks of his life,

00:13:37.840 a spinal tumor causing paralysis

00:13:39.660 from Scott's waist down,

00:13:41.580 nevertheless,

00:13:42.300 he maintained communication with his many fans

00:13:44.440 and embraced a positive and graceful attitude

00:13:47.100 right up until the end.

00:13:49.600 Scott creating the wildly popular comic strip

00:13:52.040 Dilbert in 1989,

00:13:54.360 satirizing corporate culture,

00:13:56.000 absurd managers, 0.88

00:13:57.140 and bureaucratic nonsense. 0.91

00:13:59.260 The strip appearing in 2,000 newspapers

00:14:01.260 across 65 countries,

00:14:03.340 printed in 25 languages.

00:14:05.580 Scott going on to publish several books,

00:14:07.220 including

00:14:07.540 How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big,

00:14:10.620 Reframe Your Brain,

00:14:12.000 The User Interface for Happiness and Success,

00:14:14.600 and more.

00:14:15.740 In 2015,

00:14:16.760 amid President Trump's underdog campaign

00:14:18.900 for the White House,

00:14:20.080 Scott began weighing in on the political scene,

00:14:22.400 predicting,

00:14:22.960 when few took Mr. Trump seriously,

00:14:25.300 that he would go on to win the primary

00:14:27.320 and the general election.

00:14:29.560 Scott's daily political commentary

00:14:31.020 morphing into a successful online show

00:14:33.420 called Coffee with Scott Adams.

00:14:36.160 The host taking on issues of the day,

00:14:38.400 also offering advice

00:14:39.440 on how to develop systems

00:14:41.020 to drive positive life changes.

00:14:43.560 For example,

00:14:44.220 this clip on the power of changing your mind.

00:14:47.240 I'm reasonably sure that part of the reason,

00:14:49.880 it's not 100% the reason,

00:14:52.120 but a big part of the reason

00:14:53.360 people don't want to change their mind

00:14:55.180 is that it would look like weakness

00:14:57.520 and maybe you would look like,

00:14:59.300 well, you're not so smart,

00:15:00.860 you know,

00:15:01.080 because you were wrong.

00:15:02.440 So,

00:15:02.960 the reframe is this.

00:15:04.840 Nothing is smarter

00:15:06.140 than being able to change your mind.

00:15:08.820 So,

00:15:09.120 instead of thinking of your ability

00:15:11.760 to change your mind as a weakness,

00:15:14.300 you should think of it as a strength,

00:15:16.560 almost a superpower.

00:15:18.240 So,

00:15:18.580 I think that people mistakenly believe

00:15:21.280 that when I change my mind,

00:15:23.260 I'm experiencing some kind of sacrifice.

00:15:26.980 I'm not.

00:15:28.140 I'm experiencing bragging.

00:15:30.500 It's closer to narcissism,

00:15:33.240 you know,

00:15:33.420 because I'm basically showing off.

00:15:35.900 Look,

00:15:36.320 I can change my mind.

00:15:37.880 Here's some more of Scott's wisdom,

00:15:39.640 which will be truly missed.

00:15:41.660 What if,

00:15:43.180 what if,

00:15:44.360 laziness

00:15:45.060 is a habit of thinking about

00:15:47.340 the cost of things

00:15:48.600 or the effort

00:15:49.300 instead of thinking about the payoff?

00:15:51.800 I've reframed alcohol

00:15:54.600 to be poison,

00:15:56.440 meaning that when I think of alcohol,

00:15:58.360 just mentally,

00:15:59.540 I think,

00:16:00.080 oh,

00:16:00.240 alcohol is poison.

00:16:01.640 And it makes it easier

00:16:03.020 not to imbibe it

00:16:04.520 because I just talk myself into it

00:16:06.840 not being a beverage.

00:16:07.960 It's not really a beverage.

00:16:09.740 You know,

00:16:09.860 it's not entertainment.

00:16:10.940 It's poison.

00:16:12.300 Do you think that you can cause luck

00:16:14.260 to happen in your life?

00:16:15.500 The answer is no,

00:16:17.760 not luck luck,

00:16:20.060 but you can manipulate

00:16:22.160 your experience of luck

00:16:25.040 in the ways I'm going to tell you.

00:16:26.960 In 2023,

00:16:28.420 leftists attempting to cancel Scott,

00:16:30.720 calling him racist

00:16:31.540 after he commented

00:16:32.420 on a Rasmussen poll

00:16:33.960 in which 26% of Black respondents

00:16:36.840 disagreed with the statement,

00:16:38.960 quote,

00:16:39.540 it is okay to be white,

00:16:41.420 with an additional 21%

00:16:43.060 feeling unsure.

00:16:44.960 Scott reacting,

00:16:45.780 quote,

00:16:45.980 if nearly half of all Blacks 0.97

00:16:47.780 are not okay with white people, 0.99

00:16:49.600 that's a hate group. 0.99

00:16:50.660 Based on how things are going,

00:16:51.860 the best advice

00:16:52.420 I could give to white people 1.00

00:16:53.480 is to get the hell away 1.00

00:16:54.840 from Black people. 1.00

00:16:56.200 Cue the cancellation, 0.94

00:16:57.600 hundreds of papers

00:16:58.360 dropping the Dilbert cartoon

00:17:00.040 in response,

00:17:01.320 attempting to smear Scott

00:17:02.740 as a racist.

00:17:04.380 Scott appearing on the MK show

00:17:05.880 in September 2023,

00:17:08.040 further articulating

00:17:09.000 the destructive nature

00:17:10.080 of the left's worldview.

00:17:11.680 I was trying to make the point

00:17:12.920 that we've poisoned relations

00:17:15.260 by making a framework

00:17:18.260 in which one group

00:17:19.480 is the victimizers, 0.50

00:17:20.920 one group is the victims.

00:17:22.360 If you ever find yourself

00:17:23.740 in that situation,

00:17:25.360 whether it's about race

00:17:26.320 or anything else,

00:17:27.540 you should try to get

00:17:28.320 as far away from it

00:17:29.260 as possible.

00:17:30.560 And nothing I said

00:17:31.420 had anything to do

00:17:32.600 with genetics,

00:17:33.920 had nothing to do

00:17:35.120 with even culture,

00:17:36.920 had everything to do

00:17:37.900 with the fact that America,

00:17:40.000 white people,

00:17:40.480 mostly,

00:17:41.600 are selling a story

00:17:43.480 and actually institutionalize it

00:17:46.420 through ESG and CRT and DEI.

00:17:49.180 It's becoming part

00:17:50.280 of our operating system

00:17:51.680 that one group of us

00:17:53.340 are the bad guys

00:17:54.320 and another group of us

00:17:55.780 is the victims.

00:17:56.880 And that is an untenable situation.

00:17:59.020 Scott continuing on

00:18:00.640 with his life's work,

00:18:01.900 connecting with thousands

00:18:02.700 of people each day

00:18:03.800 as evidenced by the many

00:18:04.980 touching tributes

00:18:05.800 in his honor.

00:18:07.080 President Trump posting

00:18:08.020 on Truth Social

00:18:08.780 a photo of Scott

00:18:09.860 in the Oval Office

00:18:10.700 captioned,

00:18:11.360 quote,

00:18:11.960 He was a fantastic guy

00:18:13.360 who liked and respected me

00:18:14.780 when it wasn't fashionable

00:18:16.120 to do so.

00:18:17.300 He bravely fought a long battle

00:18:18.760 against a terrible disease.

00:18:20.620 My condolences go out

00:18:21.620 to his family

00:18:22.240 and all of his many friends

00:18:23.560 and listeners.

00:18:24.640 He will truly be missed.

00:18:26.620 Scott's ex-wife

00:18:27.480 and caregiver Shelly Adams

00:18:29.140 yesterday reading

00:18:30.060 a final message from Scott.

00:18:32.660 Many of my Christian friends

00:18:34.120 have asked me

00:18:34.820 to find Jesus before I go.

00:18:37.180 I'm not a believer,

00:18:38.880 but I have to admit

00:18:40.260 the risk-reward calculation

00:18:42.600 for doing so

00:18:44.180 looks so attractive to me.

00:18:46.600 So here I go.

00:18:48.400 I accept Jesus Christ

00:18:50.260 as my Lord and Savior

00:18:51.820 and look forward

00:18:53.760 to spending an eternity with Him.

00:18:56.140 The part about me

00:18:58.240 not being a believer

00:18:59.340 should be quite quickly resolved

00:19:02.260 if I wake up in heaven.

00:19:04.780 I won't need any more convincing

00:19:07.220 than that.

00:19:08.340 I hope I'm still qualified

00:19:10.380 for entry.

00:19:12.000 The note continuing on,

00:19:13.300 quote,

00:19:13.980 I had an amazing life.

00:19:15.860 I gave it everything I had.

00:19:17.680 If you got any benefits

00:19:18.680 from my work,

00:19:19.680 I'm asking you to pay it forward

00:19:21.080 as best you can.

00:19:22.660 That is the legacy I want.

00:19:24.980 God bless you, Scott.

00:19:26.140 We will miss you.

00:19:29.740 And that'll do it
