00:00:30.000 Good morning, everyone.

00:00:33.980 I'm Megan Kelly.

00:00:34.900 It's Friday, November 14th, 2025, and this is your AM Update.

00:00:39.640 These emails prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong.

00:00:45.300 The White House confronts a fresh wave of Jeffrey Epstein-related scrutiny

00:00:49.460 as the House pushes for the release of many more Epstein files.

00:00:54.140 We've been really fortunate to have Nike reach out to us and say,

00:00:57.940 we want to study transgender youth.

00:01:01.440 New questions for Nike over its involvement in a shelved study on transgender youth athletic performance.

00:01:09.320 Attorneys for Letitia James and James Comey in court attempting to get the cases against their clients thrown out.

00:01:15.400 And the BBC apologizes to President Trump, but that's all.

00:01:20.000 All that and more coming up in just a moment on your AM Update.

00:01:23.540 As President Trump is settling into his new administration,

00:01:31.300 one of the top Democrats in Congress aiming to undermine the Trump agenda is Senator Dick Durbin.

00:01:36.900 And according to our sponsor, the Electronic Payments Coalition,

00:01:40.140 Senator Durbin has a new scheme, a government takeover of your credit card.

00:01:44.500 Today, Americans have thousands of choices in credit cards,

00:01:47.640 but they say Senator Durbin's plan will result in less competition and less security.

00:01:53.100 And that means more risk for your credit and identity.

00:01:56.400 Learn more at guardyourcard.com

00:01:58.920 and consider telling your senators to stop Dick Durbin's government takeover of your credit card before it's too late.

00:02:05.340 The Jeffrey Epstein story back in the news this week

00:02:10.540 as tens of thousands of newly released documents and emails from the disgraced financier emerge,

00:02:16.380 some with reference to President Trump and other prominent figures.

00:02:20.000 This as a group of House members gain enough signatures to bypass leadership

00:02:24.240 and force a vote on compelling the Department of Justice to release most of its Epstein files.

00:02:30.580 The House Oversight Committee on Wednesday releasing a new batch of Epstein's emails

00:02:34.560 obtained from his estate as part of its investigation into the DOJ's handling of the case.

00:02:40.880 Democrats on the committee highlighting three emails referencing President Trump.

00:02:45.680 One 2019 email from Epstein to purported journalist Michael Wolff reading,

00:02:51.720 quote, redacted Mar-a-Lago, redacted.

00:02:55.180 Trump says he asked me to resign, never a member, ever.

00:02:59.220 Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.

00:03:03.240 What that means remains unclear.

00:03:06.240 Trump asked Ghislaine, meaning Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's associate, to stop what exactly?

00:03:12.420 Mr. Trump has previously said he kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago because Epstein recruited Mar-a-Lago

00:03:17.660 spa employee Virginia Giuffre, who would go on to become one of Epstein's victims.

00:03:23.480 Perhaps Mr. Trump told Ghislaine to stop stealing his staff from Mar-a-Lago.

00:03:28.420 We simply do not know.

00:03:30.580 But listen to the New York Times' podcast, The Daily, which, through its powers of clairvoyance,

00:03:36.980 apparently has it all figured out.

00:03:39.660 So this is very clearly Epstein telling Wolff, for reasons that are not entirely clear,

00:03:45.260 that Trump had full awareness of what Epstein was doing and the fact, apparently the fact,

00:03:50.580 that he and his associates were recruiting young women and perhaps girls from Mar-a-Lago

00:03:56.300 into their sex trafficking operation.

00:03:58.760 Whoa, whoa, what?

00:04:01.180 Where is the evidence for that?

00:04:03.740 He had full awareness of the sex trafficking operation?

00:04:07.220 Based on what, New York Times?

00:04:09.660 He knew about the girls.

00:04:11.580 That could mean anything.

00:04:12.940 Host Rachel Abrams then asks whether Epstein is denying he was ever a member of Mar-a-Lago,

00:04:19.940 a question Deputy Investigations Editor David Enrich quickly dismisses,

00:04:24.700 redirecting Abrams to his imaginary scoop.

00:04:27.800 But to me, the bigger sentence is, of course he knew about the girls.

00:04:32.180 And obviously, Trump has denied having any knowledge of the sex trafficking operation.

00:04:39.260 And so this would appear to be a refutation of that argument.

00:04:45.020 And it wasn't just the Times that ran with this invention.

00:04:48.540 Take a listen here to CNN and MSNBC.

00:04:51.580 These are damning emails where Epstein says, this is his view, what he alleges,

00:04:56.720 that Donald Trump knew of Epstein's conduct.

00:04:58.780 These new documents that we have show that Jeffrey Epstein was talking about President

00:05:02.820 Trump multiple times in emails.

00:05:04.700 Of course, we've long known that they were incredibly close friends,

00:05:07.040 but Trump had denied he was in the files.

00:05:08.720 Donald Trump has obviously been living all year in fear of release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

00:05:14.800 And tonight, that fear has to be more intense than ever.

00:05:17.520 There was also an email dated April 2nd, 2011, in which Epstein tells Maxwell that, quote,

00:05:24.220 that dog that hasn't barked yet is Trump.

00:05:27.440 Victim's name, Redacted, spent hours at my house with him.

00:05:31.480 He has never once been mentioned.

00:05:33.320 Democrats redacting the name of the alleged victim here purportedly to protect her identity

00:05:39.020 as a sex trafficking victim.

00:05:41.180 Except the so-called victim is, once again, Virginia Giuffre, which we know because Republicans

00:05:47.480 released the unredacted document right after the Democrats released the redacted one.

00:05:52.880 Why would the Times continue protecting Giuffre's identity here when Virginia Giuffre, who died 0.98

00:05:59.780 in April, had publicly outed herself as an Epstein victim long ago?

00:06:05.020 A news organization has no ethical duty to redact the name of an alleged victim who has

00:06:09.620 already gone public with her allegations, something the Times is well aware of because elsewhere,

00:06:15.320 in this very same podcast, it names Giuffre as one of Epstein's victims, just not here

00:06:21.840 when they're discussing the wonderful mystery of an unknown victim who spent hours at Epstein's

00:06:28.460 with Donald Trump.

00:06:30.180 So why would the Democrats and the Times keep Giuffre's identity redacted in this email?

00:06:37.240 Perhaps it's because naming her would have immediately blown up Epstein's story as false.

00:06:42.640 You see, Giuffre gave testimony, under oath in this case, swearing that Trump, quote,

00:06:49.460 did not partake in any sex with her, or for that matter, with any others that she knew

00:06:55.020 of connected to Epstein, none of which you would know if you only listened to The Daily,

00:07:00.640 which is why you don't.

00:07:02.320 You listen to AM Update.

00:07:03.900 Good call.

00:07:05.100 Also on Wednesday, the newly sworn in U.S. Democratic Representative Adelita Grijalva

00:07:10.040 of Arizona, becoming the crucial 218th signature on a discharge petition that would force a vote

00:07:17.020 compelling the DOJ to release the bulk of the Epstein files.

00:07:21.060 The bill, excluding classified information, information identifying victims, and child

00:07:25.940 sex abuse materials from being released.

00:07:28.440 Every Democrat signing the petition, along with four Republicans, co-sponsor Thomas Massey

00:07:33.660 of Kentucky, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, and Nancy Mace of

00:07:38.760 South Carolina.

00:07:40.060 Speaker of the House Mike Johnson saying on Wednesday he plans to bring the vote to the

00:07:43.680 floor next week.

00:07:45.060 Politico reporting that Democrats believe the vote on the floor will receive overwhelming

00:07:49.880 bipartisan support.

00:07:52.100 If the bill does get passed in the House, however, it would still require approval by the Senate

00:07:57.360 and would need to be signed into law by President Donald Trump.

00:08:01.160 Per Politico, quote, Senate GOP leaders have not guaranteed that they would hold a vote in

00:08:06.100 their chamber.

00:08:07.300 President Trump railing Wednesday on Truth Social against Republicans for going along with

00:08:11.340 Democrats here, quote, the Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein hoax again

00:08:15.560 because they'll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they've done on the shutdown

00:08:19.820 and so many other subjects. 1.00

00:08:22.240 Only a very bad or stupid Republican would fall into that trap. 0.99

00:08:25.900 There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else, and any Republicans involved 1.00

00:08:30.880 should be focused only on opening up our country and fixing the massive damage caused by the

00:08:36.020 Democrats.

00:08:37.080 Political reporting White House aides are brushing off the latest round of Epstein drama, characterizing

00:08:42.540 the latest email release as nothing more than annoying, noting, quote, the Epstein discourse

00:08:47.500 has had little impact on Trump's poll numbers and appears to remain a mostly niche conversation

00:08:52.500 on the right, while the broader electorate is concerned about more

00:08:55.780 bread and butter issues like cost of living.

00:08:59.760 New details emerging about what led Nike to abandon a, quote, transgender youth athletic

00:09:05.600 study.

00:09:06.160 The story kicking off in April with a lengthy New York Times piece quoting researcher Joanna

00:09:11.860 Harper, who is a man pretending to be a woman, as an expert on transgender athletes in sport.

00:09:17.820 The article describing Harper as leading, quote, an ambitious study of trans adolescents that

00:09:23.780 measures their results on a 10-step fitness test before they start hormone therapy, and

00:09:29.220 then after they have begun to medically transition every six months for five years.

00:09:34.580 Harper telling the Times that study was being funded by Nike, that detail triggering a wave

00:09:40.080 of reporting, most prominently from right-leaning sports site OutKick, which found multiple references

00:09:45.980 linking sports medicine physician Dr. Katherine Ackerman to this same project.

00:09:51.860 In clips and presentations dating back to 2023, Dr. Ackerman describes the study, stating she was

00:09:57.720 approached by Nike to work on it.

00:09:59.880 We've been really fortunate to have Nike reach out to us and say, we want to study transgender

00:10:07.140 youth, and what can you study?

00:10:10.060 So we very quickly put a study together, looking at people who are 12 and above, going through

00:10:17.140 these gender clinics, and then putting them through exercise testing. 1.00

00:10:20.820 We're basically doing something similar to the president's physical fitness test.

00:10:24.920 We're doing the Eurofit test, testing these people that are going through this treatment.

00:10:28.800 We are not affecting their treatment.

00:10:30.500 They were already going through these clinics anyway, and we're going to check DEXA and

00:10:34.820 labs and do these exercise outcomes to see how they compare to cis adolescents, because

00:10:41.300 that is the million-dollar question.

00:10:43.080 I think if we start people at a younger age with treatment, we don't know how much of an

00:10:48.560 effect that's going to have on performance compared to when we hear things in the news about

00:10:52.940 someone who transitions at the age of 35.

00:10:55.700 So stay tuned.

00:10:56.860 OutKick's reporting sparking immediate public backlash against Nike.

00:11:02.020 Vice President J.D.

00:11:03.020 Vance condemning the study in April on the Clay and Buck show.

00:11:06.560 I think that so many of these companies, Nike or otherwise, they got caught up in this cultural

00:11:11.740 zeitgeist of 2020-2021.

00:11:14.940 And it's like, I don't know, maybe they just thought the progressives were going to win.

00:11:19.340 And so they decided to fund this stuff to the hilt, not realizing that the American people

00:11:23.860 would have a rebellion against the craziness.

00:11:26.060 I think that rebellion, on the trans issue in particular, I mean, think about this, giving 0.87

00:11:30.560 hormonal therapies to 12-year-old kids, causing irreversible damage to their bodies, forcing

00:11:36.660 young girls to compete against boys in sports, sometimes causing serious injury in the process.

00:11:42.080 I think this issue is such a bad loser among the American people that even some of the

00:11:48.200 true believers have dropped it as a political issue.

00:11:51.780 Within days of OutKick's reporting, a Nike executive telling the outlet on Background,

00:11:56.880 their research was, quote, never initialized.

00:11:59.560 But now, Harper is giving a different impression, suggesting to the site OutSports that public

00:12:05.740 pressure did play a role in killing the study, quote, the haters got wind of it.

00:12:10.520 This was an exciting study.

00:12:12.080 I regret that they made this decision.

00:12:13.960 I wish they hadn't pulled out.

00:12:15.700 I understand in the wake of what happened to Bud Light that Nike got nervous.

00:12:20.340 Those comments reopening questions about what exactly Nike was funding, how far the study

00:12:25.560 advanced, and whether political pressure did force the company to cave.

00:12:29.560 The brand, positioning itself as one of the most aggressively pro-LGBTQ athletic brands

00:12:35.480 in America, featuring a full page on its website called No Pride, No Sports, declaring, quote,

00:12:42.340 sport without the LGBTQIA plus community is incomplete.

00:12:47.860 It highlights a partnership with a trans-focused charity called Not A Phase and links to a page

00:12:53.640 called, quote, 10 Policies for LGBTQIA plus Inclusion in Sport.

00:12:59.560 We reached out to the terrible Nike for comment and have yet to hear back.

00:13:05.400 Coming up, former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James pushed

00:13:11.260 to have their criminal cases dismissed.

00:13:13.920 And the BBC apologizes to President Trump for a misleading edit in a documentary.

00:13:19.320 Will it be enough to stop the president from suing them for a billion dollars?

00:13:24.280 It is the one time of year, the one time, that Birch Gold Group gives away free gold, hello,

00:13:35.840 with every qualifying purchase.

00:13:37.600 That's right, for Black Friday, which I can't believe it, but it's coming, when you convert 1.00

00:13:41.480 an existing IRA or 401k into a tax-sheltered one in gold, Birch Gold will send free gold to

00:13:48.340 your home for every $20,000 purchased.

00:13:51.180 I really, I want to do it just because I want to see how, how does free gold arrive at your

00:13:56.160 house?

00:13:56.620 But truly, like, is it an armored car?

00:13:58.240 Is it an armed guard?

00:14:00.400 You know, is it like a hot guy who's just got a gun who's like, here's your gold?

00:14:03.700 I'd love to find out.

00:14:05.260 If I do it, I will report back.

00:14:08.180 Gold started this year around $2,600 bucks an ounce.

00:14:11.760 By October, it was over $4,000 an ounce.

00:14:14.980 Why?

00:14:15.700 Global uncertainty.

00:14:17.040 2025 has been defined by trade wars.

00:14:19.280 Central banks are pulling from the U.S. dollar as the global reserve currency, and military

00:14:24.300 tension continues to build.

00:14:25.700 None of this is great for the dollar.

00:14:27.620 Gold thrives in times of uncertainty.

00:14:30.080 And if you are looking to diversify your savings, Birch Gold can help you.

00:14:33.780 Plus, now through November 30th, get free gold with a qualifying purchase.

00:14:44.780 gold.

00:14:45.520 But your opportunity for free gold with purchase ends on November 30th.

00:14:49.840 So don't wait.

00:14:50.880 Text MK to the number 989898 for full details.

00:14:54.660 Message and data rates may apply.

00:14:58.160 Lawyers for former FBI Director James Comey and New York State Attorney General Letitia James

00:15:03.320 appearing in an Alexandria, Virginia courtroom yesterday asking Clinton-appointed U.S.

00:15:08.520 District Judge Cameron Curry to disqualify the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of

00:15:13.360 Virginia, Lindsay Halligan, and to dismiss the cases against their clients.

00:15:18.400 At issue, whether Attorney General Pam Bondi is allowed to make multiple 120-day interim

00:15:24.220 appointments to the post of U.S. attorney.

00:15:27.860 Under federal law, if a U.S. attorney vacancy remains unfilled after the 120-day interim period,

00:15:34.300 the judges in that district are supposed to then appoint the interim U.S. attorney until

00:15:40.000 the Senate confirms an actual nominee for the position.

00:15:43.600 Before Halligan, the acting U.S. attorney was Eric Siebert, who had been appointed to his

00:15:48.680 seat by Eastern District of Virginia judges following the completion of his own 120-day

00:15:54.880 limit.

00:15:55.920 Siebert, resigning on September 19th of this year, reported the over-his reluctance to pursue

00:16:00.820 charges against Comey and James.

00:16:03.080 President Trump maintains he fired Siebert.

00:16:06.200 Three days later, A.G.

00:16:07.780 Bondi appointing Lindsay Halligan to replace Siebert, following public calls by President

00:16:12.440 Trump to install Halligan, his former personal attorney, in that position.

00:16:17.820 Within days of being sworn in, Halligan appearing before a grand jury to secure an indictment against

00:16:23.000 Comey on charges of obstructing Congress and making a false statement just days before the

00:16:28.380 five-year statute of limitations expired.

00:16:31.600 In October, a federal grand jury indicting James on charges of bank fraud and false statements

00:16:36.920 to a financial institution relating to the home she purchased in 2020.

00:16:42.200 Comey and James' legal teams presenting a joint argument.

00:16:46.120 Attorney General Pam Bondi did not have the authority to appoint Halligan once Siebert's 120-day

00:16:52.580 acting period had run out.

00:16:55.380 On October 31st, A.G.

00:16:57.480 Bondi issuing an order naming Halligan a special attorney within the DOJ, and she retroactively

00:17:04.160 dated her memo to when Halligan was sworn in, delegating to Halligan the power to conduct

00:17:10.580 and supervise prosecutions of Comey and James.

00:17:14.560 Comey's attorney, Ephraim McDowell, arguing that Halloween Day memo proves that Halligan was

00:17:20.920 not lawfully serving as U.S.

00:17:22.660 attorney when she secured the indictment on September 25th and says because the statute

00:17:28.620 of limitations has since run out, Comey cannot be re-indicted.

00:17:33.340 Letitia James' attorney, Abby Lowell, telling the court Halligan was, quote, pretending to

00:17:37.960 be a U.S. attorney when she appeared before the grand jury in September without Senate confirmation.

00:17:43.840 Lowell conceding, however, that unlike Comey, another prosecutor could still bring an indictment

00:17:48.520 against James because the statute of limitations has not yet run out.

00:17:53.600 DOJ attorney Henry Whittaker, on behalf of Halligan, arguing Comey and James are trying

00:17:58.060 to, quote, elevate what is at best a paperwork error, arguing nothing in the statute bars the

00:18:03.980 attorney general from making more than one interim appointment.

00:18:08.120 Judge Curry appearing skeptical of that argument, noting for centuries it has been judges who make

00:18:13.360 appointments after the 120-day period lapses. Judge Curry says she expects to issue a ruling

00:18:19.580 before Thanksgiving. For now, separate trials for both defendants set to begin in January.

00:18:25.760 Both Comey and James have pleaded not guilty.

00:18:29.620 One day ahead of President Trump's Friday deadline, the BBC formally apologizing for editing Mr.

00:18:36.100 Trump's January 6th, 2021 remarks at the U.S. Capitol in a grossly misleading manner.

00:18:42.640 The news outlet stopping short, however, of complying with the president's demand for

00:18:46.800 compensation. Mr. Trump sending notice to the British Broadcasting Corporation earlier this week,

00:18:52.480 threatening a $1 billion defamation lawsuit if the network did not comply with his demands.

00:18:58.180 The warning, a response to a BBC documentary titled Trump, A Second Chance, which originally aired the

00:19:04.920 week before the 2024 election. The BBC splicing two separate portions of Mr. Trump's January 6th

00:19:12.360 speech, nearly an hour apart, and omitting entirely his instruction for the crowd to march, quote,

00:19:18.780 peacefully and patriotically toward the Capitol, clearly trying to make it seem that Mr. Trump was

00:19:24.800 trying to incite a mob.
