00:02:21.420 five fellow service members. Soldiers in the area quickly reacting, working together to tackle the
00:02:26.880 shooter, allowing law enforcement to take him into custody. Fort Stewart Senior Commander,
00:02:31.980 Army Brigadier General John Lubis, Wednesday afternoon briefing reporters on the victims.
00:02:37.060 This morning, shortly before 11 o'clock, an active-duty soldier assigned to Fort Stewart,
00:02:43.140 Georgia, shot and wounded five of his fellow soldiers here on Fort Stewart. Thankfully,
00:02:49.660 all are in stable condition and all are expected to recover. The alleged shooter is in custody.
00:02:56.380 We have reestablished security. I have lifted all lockdown measures on Fort Stewart,
00:03:01.480 and there is currently no threat to the local community. I would also like to thank the brave
00:03:05.960 soldiers who immediately intervened and subdued the shooter. These soldiers, without a doubt,
00:03:11.640 prevented further casualties. Our wounded soldiers were initially evacuated to Wynn Army Community
00:03:16.980 Hospital right here on Fort Stewart. All arrived in stable condition, and three of the five required
00:03:23.900 surgical intervention. Two have been transported to Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia for additional

00:03:58.300 Office of the Special Trial Counsel. What we know is this soldier, the shooting occurred at the soldier's
00:04:04.980 place of work. It did involve his co-workers. We're still not certain about the motivations, but again,
00:04:10.700 he's been interviewed by Army investigators, and we believe we'll gain more information here shortly.
00:04:16.240 The attack allegedly carried out with a personal handgun, not a service weapon. Investigators exploring how the
00:04:22.720 28-year-old suspect brought a weapon on base. President Trump Wednesday afternoon from the Oval promising swift
00:04:29.800 justice. The Army Criminal Investigation Division is on site to ensure that the perpetrator of this
00:04:36.800 atrocity, which is exactly what it is, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The entire nation
00:04:43.140 is praying for the victims and their families, and hopefully they'll fully recover. And we can put this
00:04:50.720 chapter behind, but we're not going to forget what happened. President Trump reportedly planning to
00:04:58.120 meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin as early as next week, followed by a meeting with Ukrainian
00:05:03.540 President Volodymyr Zelensky. The announcement coming hours after a meeting between Special Envoy Steve
00:05:09.260 Witkoff and President Putin. After multiple previous rounds of failed talks, President Trump publicly casting
00:05:16.180 doubt on Mr. Putin's sincerity when it comes to reaching a ceasefire deal with Ukraine. Ultimately,
00:05:22.460 President Trump imposing a Friday deadline on the Kremlin either agree to a ceasefire or face
00:05:27.900 secondary sanctions, a 100% tariff on any nation purchasing Russian oil. Secretary of State Marco
00:05:35.760 Rubio telling Fox Business the decision on implementing secondary sanctions will come within 24 to 36 hours.

00:08:53.800 healthy again and end U.S. taxpayer subsidies of sugary drinks and junk food. Agriculture Secretary
00:09:01.260 Brooke Rollins on Monday granting USDA waivers to six states banning soda, candy and other junk foods
00:09:07.680 from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP, doubling the total number of participating
00:09:13.780 states to 12. Florida, West Virginia, Colorado, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas approved in one fell
00:09:20.700 swoop. Overhauling SNAP at the federal level would require passing legislation, an uphill battle against
00:09:27.220 millions of dollars spent by an army of lobbyists to keep junk food eligible. The Trump administration
00:09:33.340 is actively encouraging state governments to apply for waivers, allowing them to ban certain foods
00:09:38.820 they deem unhealthy from SNAP. Each state follows its own process to define which foods should be
00:09:45.200 excluded, then submits a formal waiver requesting USDA approval. Each new ban is set to take effect in
00:09:52.340 2026. HHS Secretary RFKJ and Commissioner of the FDA, Dr. Marty McCary, joining Secretary Rollins on Monday
00:10:00.560 to promote the administration's Maha Agenda. Secretary Rollins speaking about the Trump
00:10:05.860 administration's approach to cleaning up SNAP. President Trump and our cabinet are doing things
00:10:10.800 a little differently than the typical Washington, D.C. Since my confirmation, our department has
00:10:16.640 encouraged states to think differently and creatively about how to solve the many health issues facing
00:10:22.300 Americans. One way is by not allowing taxpayer-funded benefits to be used to purchase unhealthy items
00:10:29.960 like soda, candy, and other junk food. The number one purchase by SNAP recipients is sugary drinks.
00:10:37.860 SNAP is a supplemental nutrition program meant to provide health food benefits to low-income families
00:10:44.720 to supplement their grocery budget so they can afford the nutritious food essential to health and
00:10:50.400 well-being. That is the stated purpose of the SNAP program. The law states it, and President Trump's
00:10:56.300 USDA plans to deliver on it. Americans are suffering from a chronic disease epidemic. Six in ten Americans
00:11:03.000 have at least one chronic disease. Four in ten have two or more. Dr. McCary says the cure to these
00:11:08.860 diseases will come from tackling the root causes. This begins the end of the government subsidization
00:11:15.440 of our obesity, diabetes, insulin resistance epidemic. Forty percent of our nation's kids now have a diagnosed
00:11:23.340 chronic disease. Thirty-one percent have diabetes, pre-diabetes, or insulin resistance. We have to talk about
00:11:31.540 nutrients and fiber, not just Ozepic and other medications to medicate our nation. And today, with this amazing moment,
00:11:44.000 for the first time in American history, talking about taxpayer funding of our chronic disease epidemic in
00:11:51.020 children, addressing the SNAP program to restore it to its mission, to talk about the N in SNAP, which is
00:11:58.480 nutrition. HHS Secretary RFKJ framing the SNAP waivers as one key in improving nationwide health care
00:12:05.820 outcomes. Up until this morning, every USDA secretary has focused on food quantity. This is the first USDA
00:12:16.260 secretary who is focused on food quality. We're spending $405 million a day on SNAP. About 10% is going to sugary
00:12:26.820 drink. And between, if you add candies to that, it's about 13 to 17%. And we all believe in free choice.
00:12:38.820 People can make their own choice about what they're going to buy and what they're not going to buy. If you
00:12:43.140 want to buy a sugary soda, you ought to be able to do that. U.S. taxpayers should not be paying to feed the poorest
00:12:52.820 kids in our country with foods that are going to give them diabetes. And then my agency ends up,
00:13:00.140 through Medicaid and Medicare, paying for those injuries. We're going to put an end to that.
00:13:06.660 So far, the only blue state to gain a SNAP waiver is Colorado. Secretary Kennedy saying more
00:13:12.660 dem states are likely to apply. But there is one snag.
00:13:16.440 I met with a whole string of Democratic governors, including Governor Polis, and they all committed to
00:13:24.700 filing SNAP waivers. And they don't want to call it AHA, because they think that's become kind of a
00:13:32.520 partisan brand. And I don't care what they call it. They want to protect their children. And there's
00:13:38.300 no such thing as Democratic children or Republican children. And there are children, and we should
00:13:43.840 all care about them. The next push, a complete overhaul of the food pyramid. More from RFKJ.
00:13:50.860 I'm also working with Secretary Rollins on the dietary guidelines, which should come out next time,
00:13:58.080 three months ahead of schedule. And the dietary guidelines that we inherited from the Biden
00:14:03.420 administration were 453 pages long. They were driven by the same commercial impulses that put
00:14:11.260 fruit loops at the top of the food pyramid. And they were incomprehensible. And we are going to release
00:14:17.760 dietary guidelines that are four, five, or six pages long, that are understandable, that are simple,
00:14:26.060 and will allow people to make good choices about their food. They will drive changes in the school lunch
00:14:32.060 program, and prison lunches, and military food. And they will begin to change America almost immediately.
00:14:41.020 The Department of the Interior announcing on Wednesday the cancellation of what would have
00:14:46.540 been one of the largest land-based wind farms in the U.S. The Lava Ridge Wind Project in Southern Idaho,
00:14:54.100 hastily approved under President Biden in December 2024, as so many wind projects were,
00:15:00.280 on his way out the door. It called for construction of up to 231 wind turbines,
00:15:06.540 each 600 feet tall, across more than 57,000 acres of federal land. This latest move following a day-one
00:15:14.620 executive order signed by President Trump, pausing the contract pending a comprehensive analysis.
00:15:20.840 The Interior Department citing, quote,
00:15:22.840 crucial legal deficiencies in the issuance of the approval, including unique statutory criteria that
00:15:28.420 were ignored as grounds for cancellation. The specific criterion in question, not yet clear.
00:15:35.000 The project drawing intense outrage from the Idaho community since its initial proposal in 2020,
00:15:40.800 with residents, ranchers, farmers, and tribal leaders accusing the Biden administration of ignoring
00:15:46.460 local voices.
00:15:47.400 It's huge windmills taking over our public land. We're not going to give up. We're going to fight
00:15:51.520 this thing until it's dead.
00:15:53.480 This decision being approved makes us angry. You put these turbines in the air, and they put them
00:15:58.900 so far in the air, now it affects our patterns for our airplanes when we're trying to do crop dusting.
00:16:04.860 Then they're taking livelihoods away from some ranchers that have been generations of people there.

00:16:30.300 safeguards our land, and averts what would have been one of the largest,
00:16:34.040 most irresponsible wind projects in the nation.
