00:00:56.080 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM Channel 111 every weekday at New East.
00:01:04.020 Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly.
00:01:11.880 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show.
00:01:13.100 Now that President Donald Trump has solved the U.S. border crisis,
00:01:16.680 The New York Times has decided this would be a good time to take a deep dive into former President Biden's disastrous decisions that led millions to flood into the country to begin with.
00:01:27.240 This is a way of blaming the former president for the deportation tactics the Times now hates.
00:01:34.840 Wouldn't it have been nice to have some of this honesty about what happened under Joe Biden prior to November 2024?
00:01:43.060 I'm sorry, they're so dishonest.
00:01:45.160 I know you know this, but that is just so dishonest.
00:01:48.900 It's literally been 13 months since the election, and now they want to do the deep dive.
00:01:56.400 Now we're going to get honest about what Joe Biden did.
00:02:00.080 It's disgusting.
00:02:02.740 Journalism is dead at The New York Times.
00:02:05.320 It's dead.
00:02:06.400 How they could not include some massive self-flagellation at the top of this about their role in facilitating it, excusing it, ignoring it, and thus allowing it, continues to befuddle me.
00:02:20.160 I honestly, like, was there no one at The Times who said, if we're going to do it, we're going to need to acknowledge our role in it?
00:02:26.180 I guess not, because there it is.
00:02:28.180 Like, they figured it out.
00:02:31.080 That's the other galling thing about this article.
00:02:32.680 It's like they figured it out.
00:02:34.520 Now, we'll go through this article, but let me just give you the top-line truth.
00:02:38.840 There is nothing, nothing in this article outside of the fact that Biden was warned by his top emissaries before he took office that this was going to be a disaster.
00:02:49.820 That's the only new piece.
00:02:51.120 Beyond that, there is nothing in here that will be news to you.
00:02:53.740 Nothing.
00:02:54.860 You lived it all.
00:02:56.640 You knew the news.
00:02:58.280 We reported on it.
00:02:59.540 You guys wrote in about it.
00:03:00.860 We had guests on about it.
00:03:01.880 You know, you and I are on the same page.
00:03:04.880 It's amazing.
00:03:05.840 This is coming as new information to Times readers.
00:03:10.260 Like, oh, my gosh.
00:03:11.680 The numbers, they're bad.
00:03:13.440 By the way, they still limit it to the number who came in under Joe Biden.
00:03:16.120 They claim it's 3 million.
00:03:17.340 Guess again.
00:03:17.940 I guess we'll get the real numbers from The Times that it's anywhere between 11 and 20 in another year, or maybe one year post the 2028 election.
00:03:28.320 We'll get into that.
00:03:29.360 Plus, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar compares Stephen Miller, who is Jewish, to the Nazis.
00:03:36.780 It's a favorite parlor game.
00:03:38.400 We're supposed to just let this slide for Stephen Miller?
00:03:41.140 I, like, I don't know.
00:03:43.220 It's like, I guess we're not supposed to express outrage when the guy who's the architect of Trump's immigration policy continues to be called a Nazi, a Jewish man.
00:03:52.860 I have to say, I admire his wife, Katie, who has been going on CNN and other places saying, stop fucking doing that.
00:04:00.900 You're endangering my children, my family, my husband.
00:04:05.820 No one cares.
00:04:06.960 Abby Phillips doesn't care at all.
00:04:10.100 She's fine with it.
00:04:11.100 She believes it.
00:04:12.200 That's what's obvious.
00:04:13.020 And akin with Abby Phillips, Margaret Brennan over on CBS News, basically yawned, yeah, tracks.
00:04:23.400 You could sort of see the little caption over her head.
00:04:25.840 Yeah, sounds about right.
00:04:27.020 Nazi.
00:04:27.300 And we'll have the latest for you on the battle between MTG and Trump, this time taking place courtesy of 60 Minutes.
00:04:35.100 Joining me now on all of this and more, Walter Kern.
00:04:37.820 He's editor-at-large of County Highway and co-host of the America This Week podcast.

00:05:47.900 Welcome back to the show, Walter.
00:05:49.500 How are you doing?
00:05:50.740 I'm doing great.
00:05:51.680 I'm in Hollywood in a hotel room.
00:05:54.680 I've been to the excessive parties that they throw for themselves over the weekend and seen movie stars run off with bags of gifts that probably should be distributed to Toys for Tots and would keep old neighborhoods happy.
00:06:09.120 Instead, they're going to throw them in their extra mailroom at home, I guess.
00:06:14.540 But, you know, it's good to be here.
00:06:18.200 It's nice to be a festive time of year.
00:06:21.440 But as you say, it's hard to be happy and optimistic about the year that's coming when you're seeing this kind of stuff at the end of this one.
00:06:34.820 I mean, that was a crazy piece.
00:06:36.600 Well, the only reason they did it, Megan, was because they want to minimize it now that they can't ignore it.
00:06:42.920 See, they weren't going to do a story before because they thought it was going to work.
00:06:46.740 Before it was policy.
00:06:48.620 Before it was going to lead to a whole reorganization of the United States along the lines that the New York Times would like to see.
00:06:55.620 They didn't report on it because it was good back then.
00:06:59.240 Now they're reporting it as though it's maybe got some ill effect.
00:07:03.380 But they want to minimize those.
00:07:05.220 And what they're really doing is the audience for these stories is now the AI to show that New York Times is covering things and prove that to the AI.
00:07:15.700 So when people look it up, they'll see, yes, they did a story on it.
00:07:20.320 But is it enlightening us?
00:07:22.900 Is it, you know, journalism of the kind we used to revere and honor?
00:07:29.080 No, it's a trick, really.
00:07:31.540 It's a trick.
00:07:32.440 I mean, the nerve to pretend this is new information, like, you don't even have to be, like, considered right to know all these facts.
00:07:43.840 If you are just right adjacent, if you were, like, center right, very moderately right or even center left, you probably knew all these facts that they're offering about the number of illegals who flew in, about how everything Biden did made it even easier for them, how he was taken advantage of at every turn, how they gamed the system.
00:08:03.020 I mean, they're talking about when Abbott sent the illegals up to New York City, like, oh, my God, we have news for you.
00:08:08.600 No, we know all of that.
00:08:10.020 We lived it.
00:08:10.980 We were mocking you because it was a brilliant move.
00:08:13.800 And you guys were pretending like you were welcoming the illegals at the time.
00:08:19.060 Only now do we get the hard truth, which is you didn't like it.
00:08:22.640 It blew up New York.
00:08:23.900 It blew up social services.
00:08:25.640 Like, the nerve, like, the disrespect of the paper towards its readers to pretend this is new.
00:08:33.240 Well, they did the same thing with COVID.
00:08:34.800 They've done the same thing with Biden's dementia.
00:08:37.800 They did the same thing with Russiagate.
00:08:41.000 You see, news used to be about getting the story first.
00:08:44.640 And now it's about being the last one in to tell everybody what's been obvious to them for years such that you can put it away, start to decrease the outrage.
00:08:55.920 Give them a little give them a couple of months of venting about this.
00:09:00.740 And then we'll move on to the next fucking crazy thing that you should never have to put up with that we'll pretend isn't happening and maybe tell you the truth about in five years.
00:09:10.240 That's how it works now.
00:09:12.100 It's really great when you actually go through it.
00:09:14.660 I want to actually do that because the examples that they have in there.
00:09:18.520 First of all, I'm going to start with this tweet from Dan Turrentine, who we love, formerly of Two Way with Mark Halpern and Sean Spicer.
00:09:25.800 But those three guys broke up.
00:09:27.600 I don't know the story, but it's sad they broke up.
00:09:29.500 Anyway, here's Dan's tweet.
00:09:33.400 Could not stomach reading this story on at Joe Biden's immigration policy this morning for fear I would be depressed, angry or both.
00:09:41.700 Just read it now and hope my blood will stop boiling by bedtime.
00:09:45.700 Every Democrat needs to read and take a long look in the mirror.
00:09:50.460 Yeah, he's right.
00:09:51.680 And he is one of the honest Dems out there.
00:09:54.380 But now here's what you've got from the New York Times.
00:09:58.740 I'm going to give you a couple of notable lines.
00:10:01.280 In the weeks after Biden was elected president, advisers delivered a warning.
00:10:05.960 His approach to immigration could prove disastrous.
00:10:09.660 This is the part that's interesting.
00:10:10.880 They talk about, you know, the warnings that were given to him before he even started ruining our country.
00:10:16.020 Biden's positions threatened to drastically increase border crossings, experts advising his transition team warned in a Zoom briefing in the final weeks of 2020.
00:10:26.840 Chaos was the word the advisers had used in a memo during the campaign.
00:10:31.860 In August of 2020, so this is right before the election, several aides wrote a memo cautioning Biden's inner circle that his promises, quote, could provoke a spike in border crossings.
00:10:44.080 You think?
00:10:45.400 Aides described Mr. Biden as having no strong positions on immigration beyond two key areas.
00:10:52.960 I know, Walter, the two key areas that he did care about, he resisted anything that looked like Trump's remain in Mexico policy.
00:10:59.280 That's really too bad because that policy works so well.
00:11:02.800 And he did not want to send children back across the border.
00:11:07.100 So what's amazing about that is if he had just done if he had just revoked remain in Mexico and then did try to stop sending children back home to Mexico, it would have been bad.
00:11:18.300 But it wouldn't have been as bad. So who was responsible for revoking every Trump executive order for the slew of executive orders that Joe Biden signed when he got into office?
00:11:27.040 Day one, opening up the border for four years of his presidency, only until June of 2024.
00:11:35.120 Only until then did he start to reverse some of the stuff because the election was coming up.
00:11:40.320 Right. First of all, this is all baloney.
00:11:42.180 This is an attempt to make it sound like there were Biden advisers who are pressing hard for common sense and just didn't get their way.
00:11:51.980 And why are they still remaining anonymous if they were such an honorable group of people fighting for the right and for common sense?
00:11:58.860 And if only their policies had been adopted, things would be OK.
00:12:03.140 Then why are they still remaining anonymous?
00:12:05.940 Well, what?
00:12:07.300 Aren't they the heroes?
00:12:08.520 Aren't they the people who should be raising their hand and saying, if it had been done my way, everything would be OK?
00:12:13.580 No, because this is a psyop that's meant to make you think that there was debate about this and that the general Democratic advisor is sane on this issue.
00:12:24.140 It just happened that, you know, Joe Biden, who some of his advisers described as what they should have described as being asleep with a piece of a cookie in the corner of his mouth, that he was he's the perfect foil to make America believe that there was such a thing as another immigration policy that the Democrats were considering.
00:12:44.120 No, this is one that they not only considered, they funded, they did everything in God's and government's power to make sure happened, to get the numbers as high as possible.
00:12:55.920 They hid the transport of people by planes because people were appalled just by about the number of people were coming on foot.
00:13:03.540 And now they're going to tell us that it was some raging debate that they lost because, you know, Joe, Joe Biden was vital and vivid enough to overrule them.
00:13:16.240 Baloney.
00:13:16.640 Yeah, it was by design.
00:13:18.940 The whole thing was by design.
00:13:20.420 Who was it?
00:13:21.600 Honestly, who was it?
00:13:22.720 I really do want to I want to name Joe Biden, obviously, you know, was out to lunch, but there was a cabal of far left wokesters around him trying to pull the strings on this and other woke policies that didn't consistently align with even Biden's own policies prior to getting to office.
00:13:39.120 And that's why Trump is undoing things like auto right up until the election.
00:13:42.740 Right up until the election, they were telling us that, you know, they were looking for, you know, a better bill and they could change this.
00:13:50.540 And it was, you know, just a bit of a adjustment that was necessary and so on.
00:13:55.060 They weren't telling us this.
00:13:57.060 They weren't saying, wow.
00:13:57.980 And Walter, they addressed that.
00:13:59.820 They addressed that bill in this article, the one, the fake bill meant to like really like push through immigration reform once and for all.
00:14:06.520 And you remember, audience, that Trump, then candidate Trump, was like, don't sign that piece of shit.
00:14:11.120 He was like, that gives the Democrats some false win with some like prophylactic measures that aren't really going to get it done and will actually make things worse and not better.
00:14:20.980 And the Times treats that as a serious attempt by Team Biden to govern and like recover from this issue.
00:14:29.860 But those terrible Republicans stopped it, you know, because Trump wanted the electoral win.
00:14:35.480 Like they actually treat that like it's a serious piece of legislation that came from genuinely caring Dems who wanted to address this unfortunate thing that just happened down at the southern border.
00:14:46.100 They're creating an alternative history, and now they're telling us the story of how that alternative history came to be.
00:14:53.900 But it has nothing to do with anything that we saw, nothing that happened.
00:14:58.500 It turns out that the answer to immigration policy was lock the door, okay, and it stops it.
00:15:05.580 They want that left out of the entire debate.
00:15:08.240 They want this to make it seem like it's a very complex issue when, in fact, Trump revealed it to be probably the least complex problem of all we face.
00:15:17.580 I mean, even I'm shocked.
00:15:20.680 It's so true.
00:15:21.780 You're right.
00:15:22.220 Lock the door.
00:15:22.980 Works so well.
00:15:23.960 Like works with intruders, psychos, and illegals.
00:15:27.120 But in the piece, amazingly, they use the photo, the very controversial photo of Border Patrol agents that they once—I'm showing it to the listening audience.
00:15:41.880 Right, right.
00:15:42.400 —where you see two migrants kind of down nearby a horse with a Border Patrol agent on top of it.
00:15:48.880 Right.
00:15:49.080 That was misrepresented by the Times and other outlets at the time it hit in September 2021 as Border Patrol agents.
00:15:57.820 At the time, they said, quote, on horseback chasing and, in some cases, using the reins of their horses to strike at running migrants.
00:16:07.180 Others said outright that they were whipping migrants.
00:16:10.080 Um, now they use—that was all wrong.
00:16:13.940 The photographer from Reuters who took the shot said nothing of the sort ever happened.
00:16:19.200 That's a lie.
00:16:20.320 And they still went with it.
00:16:21.740 The White House came out and said that's what had happened.
00:16:24.940 Um, and now the New York Times chooses that image of all images that could represent our border problems.
00:16:31.760 They choose that one.
00:16:32.520 And here, clean up the description somewhat, too.
00:16:34.940 Images of Border Patrol agents on horseback waving their reins while pushing migrants back.
00:16:41.680 We know very well what you're doing, New York Times.
00:16:44.600 You're once again trying to smear the agents you defamed with this image that you already programmed your leftist misinformed viewers to think is an example of abuse.
00:16:56.860 But you're absolutely right.
00:16:59.300 Programming is the word.
00:17:00.900 They've got to get that, you know, on a six-month cycle, they've got to get that picture into the American mind.
00:17:07.480 On a 10-month cycle, they have to remind you of something called comprehensive immigration reform.
00:17:13.340 On a, you know, 18-month cycle, they have to remind you that there were Biden advisors who had other ideas.
00:17:20.200 None of this is real.
00:17:22.560 It's just making it an alternate encyclopedia that will help explain maybe two years from now why everything's completely fallen apart.
00:17:34.880 But not because we did it.
00:17:37.820 We were trying the whole time.
00:17:39.700 Didn't you see?
00:17:40.280 We reported on it.
00:17:41.540 We reported on it.
00:17:42.540 We covered that.
00:17:43.740 Right.
00:17:43.920 I can hear them saying, like, we covered that.
00:17:46.120 Sure, sure, literally a year plus after the election, you utter cowards.
00:17:52.640 And here's the other thing, Walter.
00:17:53.940 So at the same time, they're trying to create their plausible deniability on why they didn't report on the immigration crisis, honestly.
00:18:00.220 They're doing reports like these.
00:18:01.920 Okay, we just pulled a few of their more recent headlines on the ICE raids.
00:18:07.760 What made those necessary?
00:18:10.060 Oh, wait.
00:18:10.820 See chapter one.
00:18:11.760 Okay, inside a courthouse, chaos and tears as Trump accelerates deportations.
00:18:19.340 Here's another.
00:18:20.260 Should ICE agents be allowed to wear masks?
00:18:22.700 It depends whom you ask.
00:18:24.520 ICE agents are wearing masks.
00:18:26.340 Is that un-American?
00:18:28.200 What if ICE agents show up?
00:18:30.140 Schools prepare teachers and parents.
00:18:32.660 And then a new fear in schools.
00:18:35.020 Will ICE agents come?
00:18:36.220 They're doing it all again, trying to prime the public to hate this thing that has been made necessary by Joe Biden.
00:18:46.080 But this is the other thing that has replaced, you know, what we formerly called journalism.
00:18:51.620 You call it priming.
00:18:53.460 Others call it programming.
00:18:55.180 They're basically deciding what the agenda for the discussion should be going forward.
00:19:02.540 It shouldn't be as your job being replaced.
00:19:04.480 It shouldn't be our housing price is too high because illegals have programs where they're buying the houses that your kids want to start life in.
00:19:11.820 No, it's going to be some pseudo-controversy over masks.
00:19:15.820 Are they scary?
00:19:18.180 Are they American?
00:19:19.340 We will not be allowed to discuss this next phase of the immigration problem, which is going to involve, you know, the complex of deportations and other legal maneuvers, scandals like we're seeing develop in Minnesota over the Somalis in Minnesota.
00:19:41.780 See, that's the one they really hate.
00:19:43.180 They want to get it back to masks or they mean because we just found out that an entire state of America where I grew up has been used basically as a as a hose port.
00:19:53.960 They attached a hose to Minnesota and then they took all the tax money that they used for every single social program they could think of from autism to, you know, food insecurity and shoved the wealth of all those fucking farmers and all the people who work all day long in that state right through a tube that goes across the Atlantic.
00:20:15.660 And now that caught people's imagination and it's still catching their imagination and whether and the Times did not break that story either.
00:20:26.020 No, I I broke it.
00:20:29.600 Sorry.
00:20:30.440 County Highway.
00:20:31.600 Wall Street Journal.
00:20:33.140 Well, you go back and read their editorial.
00:20:35.260 It was County Highway.
00:20:36.060 One week before Rufo, we wrote it because we're a paywalled, exclusive platform that doesn't, you know, put our stuff onto the net.
00:20:48.160 It was out there a week before a guy named Armin Rosen that covered the entire waterfront on that on that fraud story.
00:20:56.340 And that's a story that locally has been known for years.
00:20:59.340 We really and everybody else just finally listened to the local reporters.
00:21:03.340 That's what happened.
00:21:04.200 Wow.
00:21:04.960 You got to give us a heads up when you got a big scoop like that.
00:21:07.480 We got to make sure it gets on the MK show.
00:21:09.100 Well, because that's been a game changer.
00:21:11.280 I mean, now you've got Dr. Oz and CMS saying we're doing our own investigation.
00:21:17.740 We're not trusting Jacob Fry or anybody else sitting in Minneapolis to tell us what's real about the extent of this fraud.
00:21:26.400 We're taking this bull by the horns and figuring it out ourselves.
00:21:29.300 And we're just going to shut shit down.
00:21:31.020 Like, if you think you're going to just take advantage of Medicare and Medicaid and we're just going to let you do it, think again.
00:21:37.200 And the New York Times, which then did a Somali story, a Minnesota fraud story.
00:21:43.120 But, of course, they forgot to tell us that they were actually pushing the governor of that state for vice president of the freaking United States a year ago.
00:21:51.360 Yes.
00:21:51.780 Yes.
00:21:52.900 You tell me how it is that none of that was vetted, right?
00:21:58.780 Like, they are taking deep dives into J.D. Vance's background, making up lies about him when he was Trump's running mate.
00:22:06.360 But we didn't know that Tim Walsh, Kamala Harris's running mate, had maybe $8 billion worth of fraud.
00:22:16.260 And by the way, there were criminal prosecutions going on.
00:22:19.340 So it's not like it was that hard for them to figure out.
00:22:21.360 They didn't want to do it because it would hurt him and because they can't talk about crime committed by Somalis.
00:22:26.580 Listen, all aspiring investigative journalists in America who, you know, can get a car and have low needs and can live on a little bit of money, get in that car and go to Minnesota right now and live there for two years.
00:22:42.760 I'm not kidding.
00:22:43.660 You are going to find a bottomless connected tunnel system to the rest of American political chicanery, fraud and corruption.
00:22:53.440 It starts there, or at least it surfaces there.
00:22:57.600 And from their portal, you can get to all the other ones.
00:23:00.800 Keith Ellison, Tim Waltz, Elon Omar, the entire top line of that Minnesota Democratic Party, which they call the DFL there.
00:23:09.480 This is a state where just a few months ago, a man in a rubber mask assassinated the former House majority leader at her home.
00:23:20.540 You know, this is a bad place.
00:23:22.480 And this was the this was the state where our future Democratic national leadership was going to come from in the form of Tim Waltz, in the form of Keith Ellison, you know, who's who's got national party ambitions and so on.
00:23:39.220 Good luck with that.
00:23:40.360 Now he's on he's on tape with some of these Somalis talking about the whole Minnesota game and seems to be very willing to run cover for them.
00:23:52.360 He denies he knew that it was fraudulent, but seems to be very interested in how he can get heat off of them.
00:23:57.900 Not how not whether this is a legitimate group doing legitimate things with the Medicare and other public services funds.
00:24:04.520 Let me tell your audience as a fact.
00:24:08.160 Minnesota, as it exists now politically, in terms of the people and celebrities and celebrity Congress people and so on that are on our TV all the time, is is about to face a meteor that's going to destroy it all.
00:24:24.160 Those people are not going to be some of them won't want to even be an American a year or two.
00:24:29.160 Really, I promise you, it's so bad.
00:24:32.640 Well, the corruption is so bad.
00:24:35.600 The levels of financial malfeasance are so high.
00:24:40.120 Not only was there not vetting, but there was opposite vetting.
00:24:43.460 Let's I'm not letting you into this government before we prove you're more corrupt than me.
00:24:49.180 You know, you have to be at least as corrupt as me if you want to be part of me.
00:24:52.560 OK, otherwise we'll sell each other out.
00:24:54.660 The damn thing is a criminal gang, which is just the right size.
00:24:59.960 It's big enough to is big enough to get people's attention, but it's small enough for people to still like see it in a snow globe, how it really works.
00:25:08.500 See, Washington's too freaking big, a corrupt enterprise for us to even see one tiny part of it.
00:25:15.100 You know, but this Minnesota thing will allow us to sort of watch in almost a stadium version how our politics works and how our people lie and how the money gets sucked up and how it gets redistributed.
00:25:28.520 And it's not going to stop.
00:25:31.080 Let me let me just give some numbers to what you're saying, because they they back you up totally.
00:25:36.040 The housing program in Minnesota was supposed to cost two point six million dollars annually last year instead.
00:25:48.560 Yeah, right. To do what? Who knows?
00:25:49.820 It paid out over one hundred million.
00:25:53.340 So they said this is going to be a two point six million dollar, you know, outlay by government to help Somalis, I guess, get get housing.
00:26:01.380 Instead, it was one hundred million.
00:26:04.580 The autism program was supposed to be three million.
00:26:09.180 It was around three million in twenty eighteen.
00:26:11.360 It ballooned to nearly four hundred million by twenty twenty three four hundred, which is why you have state lawmakers now in Minnesota going on YouTube saying the Democrats knew.
00:26:30.000 We have been jumping up and down about this as Republicans for years saying this is fraud.
00:26:37.380 We knew they knew. He said at a minimum, they look the other way.
00:26:41.200 But it was such huge numbers.
00:26:43.860 It was clear to us it was active fraud with which they were willingly participating.
00:26:49.140 Nothing else would explain their unwillingness to crack down on a system that was supposed to cost two and a half million and cost a hundred or supposed to cast around three million to help kids with autism.
00:27:01.660 But suddenly it was four hundred million.
00:27:05.140 And that's just a couple of programs.
00:27:07.440 That's just a couple of programs.
00:27:09.520 This isn't fraud.
00:27:10.520 Listen, fraud is when you steal like a tenth of what there is and secretly embezzle it and use it for something else.
00:27:21.620 Fraud isn't when.
00:27:24.460 The thing grows by a multiple of four hundred and every bit of it is corrupt.
00:27:32.480 That's industry.
00:27:33.680 That's a form of industry.
00:27:35.560 And this is their industry.
00:27:37.440 They don't make computer chips.
00:27:39.740 They don't make car stereos.
00:27:41.440 They don't make, you know, wonderful, wholesome cheeses from the fresh from the farm.
00:27:46.240 They make giant checks out of nothing that they distribute to people for hundreds of millions, for billions of dollars, so much so that there's extra to go abroad.
00:27:58.160 This is their product.
00:28:00.140 It's their main product.
00:28:02.320 Fraud is their main product.
00:28:04.100 And it's not fraud because everybody knows what it is, right?
00:28:08.760 Who are they fooling?
00:28:09.860 Wait, you really thought that autism was getting cured in Minnesota?
00:28:13.640 They fooled you?
00:28:14.900 No.
00:28:15.720 Nobody who ever saw that program went anything but, oh, no.
00:28:19.440 I hope they don't take too much.
00:28:21.320 I mean, I hope maybe one kid accidentally gets help sometime in the next century.
00:28:25.840 But I doubt it.
00:28:27.160 Right.
00:28:27.620 Exactly.
00:28:28.300 Accidentally.
00:28:28.820 By the way, Rich McHugh, who works for News Nation, a great reporter.
00:28:33.720 I used to work with him at NBC.
00:28:35.320 He's a great producer who quit NBC in disgust over their cover-up of the Harvey Weinstein serial rapes.
00:28:44.260 Good man.
00:28:45.140 He has five daughters.
00:28:46.160 He walked out saying, F you.
00:28:47.980 You had the story.
00:28:48.820 You killed it.
00:28:49.500 You know why.
00:28:50.080 I'm out of here.
00:28:50.900 Good man.
00:28:51.540 Works for News Nation now.
00:28:52.540 He just dropped a report on how a similar problem is happening in Maine.
00:28:58.060 The headline of his piece that just hit today is,
00:29:00.900 Maine whistleblower alleges Minnesota-like fraud in the state Medicaid program.
00:29:06.960 I'm going to bring you some highlights of this in just a bit, but I want to stay on Minnesota for now.
00:29:10.780 If this thing leads to a cascading revelations, Walter, and it's going to be blue state after blue state.
00:29:19.940 And by the way, the next target needs to be the bullshit disability claims that people file, which sometimes are legit and oftentimes are totally fucking made up where they get a huge portion of their salary forever on the taxpayer dime because they find some doctor to say they're permanently disabled.
00:29:39.080 Okay, but if that leads to a cascading reveal in state after state, it's going to be blue states in particular, then great, so much the better.
00:29:47.480 Think of all the money we're going to save.
00:29:50.120 Well, will we is the question.
00:29:52.460 I mean, let's hope we save it.
00:29:54.540 Let's hope places like Minnesota even have – see, when you've got a completely corrupt political system, and I don't like to use the word corrupt anymore because that suggests that it was healthy at one point and then got unhealthy.
00:30:06.500 No, this system does exactly what it's meant to do.
00:30:10.300 It extracts wealth from working people, from, you know, real efforts and enterprises.
00:30:17.540 It takes it, it repackages it using various, you know, laudable goals.
00:30:23.020 Autism, they have a list.
00:30:25.120 Can this one be of an autism, disability, whatever?
00:30:28.020 We need, you know, a label.
00:30:30.120 So whatever they put on it that, you know, tugs heartstrings.
00:30:34.380 Then they come up with a product, which is autism centers or, you know, I don't know, a center you can call or a board or whatever.
00:30:45.020 Housing for Somalis.
00:30:46.340 All the money gets pushed through the system.
00:30:48.560 It all ends up in – back in either the accounts of the politicians themselves, their families, all the fake companies they set up to support their campaigns, all the fake NGOs they set up to support their issues.
00:31:02.160 Or it just goes right out the door on planes in the packages of a million sealed, you know, bills, shrink-wrapped to the airport in Somalia where they unload it, you know, and bring it over and buy tanks at the docks from Russia or whatever.
00:31:18.560 Once that has all happened, do they have an instrument for getting it back?
00:31:26.440 Do they have a way to go find all that money?
00:31:29.620 Maybe the government does.
00:31:31.100 Shit, it's got enough problems getting rid of the people who shouldn't be here.
00:31:34.740 Now it's going to have to search for all the money in Minnesota in half the bank accounts of the political parties of Minnesota.
00:31:42.880 This could take a long time.
00:31:45.840 Well, here's the thing.
00:31:46.720 You know, maybe we'll get lucky enough that the next big fraud will be unearthed in a city that's recently changed out its far-left mayor to somebody more reasonable.
00:31:54.660 Because part of the problem in Minneapolis is Jacob Frye, who is a crazy, insane, woke progressive who was too chicken shit of the Somali community to actually do anything about this problem.
00:32:07.300 I mean, the New York Times, that's not Megyn Kelly, the New York Times is reporting that the Democratic officials in Minnesota and Minneapolis were too afraid of cracking down on Somalis and looking like racists,
00:32:19.520 because you're not allowed to say black people can ever do anything bad, to do anything about it.
00:32:23.880 They'd rather see the population get fleeced, black, white, and otherwise.
00:32:27.680 So here's Jacob Frye, an example of it.
00:32:30.440 Just watch this.
00:32:31.660 He's trying to make the point that his city police in Minneapolis are not going to cooperate with ICE.
00:32:37.120 What a shock.
00:32:38.300 But check out when he starts speaking at the end in Somalian, which is their main language in Somalia.
00:32:48.500 Arabic is second.
00:32:49.620 Take a listen to this guy.
00:32:50.420 I want our police officers keeping people safe.
00:32:55.520 I want our police officers responding to violent crime.
00:32:59.020 I want our police officers preventing homicides and carjackings and shootings from occurring in the first place.
00:33:06.340 You know what I don't want them doing?
00:33:08.560 I don't want our police officers spending a single second hunting the father down that just dropped his kids off at daycare,
00:33:15.980 who's about to go and work a 12-hour shift, who happens to be from Mogadishu, or who happens to be from Ecuador.
00:33:23.600 That man makes our city a better place.
00:33:26.860 And so, to our Somali community.
00:33:29.120 You are fucking in America.
00:33:47.800 Speak English.
00:33:49.220 And if your Somali constituents cannot understand English, you and they are hashtag part of the problem.
00:33:56.640 The absurd pandering going on here, Walter, is literally at the very heart of this problem.
00:34:05.560 Well, so he's an actor.
00:34:07.740 He's, you know, like Justin Trudeau or one of these people with a lot of hair products who I call them the Mickey Klaus Club.
00:34:15.560 The WEF approved young leaders who have to put their hair a certain way and, you know, speak in foreign languages and stand up to ICE and do all of these other things.
00:34:24.700 First of all, his police force doesn't stop crime.
00:34:27.740 His police force is bleeding, is dying.
00:34:31.260 It is desperately trying to get new recruits and can't get them.
00:34:35.980 It's hundreds down.
00:34:37.560 So your police force, ICE doesn't care about it because nobody cares about it.
00:34:41.740 No shoplipers don't care about it.
00:34:43.560 Nobody does.
00:34:44.480 It's a non-entity.
00:34:45.500 Number two, the idea that you are going to stand up for a group of people who right now should be in the dock, okay, at their worst hour.
00:34:59.320 And I don't blame the Somalis all that much.
00:35:02.280 See, Somalis didn't come to America by themselves.
00:35:04.600 They were brought here from a long way away, very expensively by social services like Lutheran Social Services, which I happen to know as a Minnesota, you know, runs that kind of operation there.
00:35:18.740 And then they were put into districts, which made safe seats for certain candidates.
00:35:24.460 And they were plugged into the Democratic Farmer Labor Party in Minnesota, the Democratic Party nationally.
00:35:31.080 Not that they are innocent victims, but somebody knew the usefulness of these people in order to get this whole show on the road.
00:35:43.020 They didn't start it.
00:35:44.020 They aren't geniuses who somehow smuggled themselves into America and came up with this whole scheme.
00:35:49.720 And they're patsies, willing patsies, who've made a lot of money off it, and now want respect.
00:35:57.960 Like all gangs of crooks, once you've got your headquarters and your fancy cars and you're eating in the nice places, then you want respect.
00:36:09.460 You want the politicians to come to you.
00:36:11.780 And that's what we've created here.
00:36:13.660 And they have every right to act like a gang because they were made into one by their patrons.
00:36:19.260 And he should be afraid of them.
00:36:21.340 He should be afraid of them.
00:36:22.620 Maybe that guy was standing behind him sort of like tracking his pronunciation of Somali to see how good it was.
00:36:30.060 You know, had a gun under his coat.
00:36:32.960 Jacob, you're going to have to talk more Somali.
00:36:35.600 You're going to have to rehearse better or else we're not going to need you around here anymore.
00:36:39.420 Did you see the video of Jacob Fry eating Somali food?
00:36:42.300 He honestly, it looks like he just swallowed a plate full of vomit.
00:36:46.420 Look, he doesn't he doesn't want to like swallow it.
00:36:48.300 It's in his mouth.
00:36:49.380 Oh, he's giving you the OK symbol.
00:36:51.020 But there he goes, chewing and chewing and chewing.
00:36:55.060 I mean, generally, when you eat, you you actually swallow.
00:36:58.780 He's just moving the spoon around.
00:37:00.880 No additional food is actually brought to his lips.
00:37:04.140 That's how I eat salads.
00:37:05.420 I meet, move all the parts of the salad around and then I put my fork down.
00:37:10.340 Also, pander is complete.
00:37:12.620 He looks like he's eating an anthill.
00:37:14.480 What's that giant pile of things that are in front of him?
00:37:18.060 Is he supposed to work his way through that?
00:37:20.280 Is this just a tasting?
00:37:22.140 But again, he's so willing to self-flagellate, right?
00:37:24.560 Like he'll put himself through that, but he won't put himself through accusations of racism,
00:37:29.120 baseless though they'd be, for cracking down on fraudsters who happen to be Somali.
00:37:32.860 You know what happens when you enter criminal enterprise?
00:37:36.400 You become the hostage of the worst people in it.
00:37:39.440 You might have been Jacob Fay, good boy, leftist college kid who just wanted to make the world a
00:37:44.720 little more just.
00:37:45.800 But once you dance with the people you've danced with, Jacob, for the money you have,
00:37:49.940 you live in a state where people in rubber masks come and kill politicians in the middle of the
00:37:54.620 night.
00:37:55.000 I'm sure that's not lost on you.
00:37:56.780 Minnesota, like I say, we need to focus on it relentlessly because it's got an example
00:38:05.380 of everything we need to know and it's got tunnels that lead to every place we need to
00:38:10.340 get.
00:38:11.220 And it's got associations with every crook and gangster who's on the national scene.
00:38:17.100 They just tried to slip this baby past us.
00:38:19.900 Like I say, Tim Walsh could be president right now, easily.
00:38:22.740 Oh my God.
00:38:23.260 You know, they got elected, Kamala decided it was time to finally go to rehab and, you
00:38:29.400 know, the constitution kicked in and Tim Walsh is fricking president.
00:38:34.100 Allegedly, allegedly, reportedly, actually, no, it's not even being reported.
00:38:36.780 It's just a joke.
00:38:38.640 I wanted to show you this.
00:38:41.140 So there's Jacob Fry eating his Somali food.
00:38:43.980 Here's just a taste of how woke this guy is.
00:38:45.920 This is back in June of 2020, immediately past George Floyd, when protests were everywhere,
00:38:53.220 including in Minneapolis.
00:38:54.460 And here's what happened.
00:38:55.600 Watch this.
00:38:55.920 He wouldn't commit to abolishing the police back.
00:39:17.820 I mean, right after George Floyd, when we needed them the most, he wouldn't commit to abolishing
00:39:22.840 them.
00:39:23.220 And that's what his community did to him.
00:39:24.860 So he learned, he learned real good and he is living for the lessons.
00:39:29.980 More theater, more theater.
00:39:31.580 He knew he wasn't going to be attacked in that.
00:39:33.780 That was a walk of shame.
00:39:35.360 That was a ritual.
00:39:36.740 That was to make him seem actually, it's like the times is doing right now.
00:39:41.480 Suddenly the times is repositioning themselves as maybe having been reasonable on immigration.
00:39:46.220 That was Jacob Fry making himself look reasonable, but under fire just for still having a police
00:39:54.320 court.
00:39:55.500 You're totally right.
00:39:56.720 This guy has, there's no distance between him and those protesters on the cops.
00:40:00.540 Here in the meantime is a Vietnamese man who is also from the Minneapolis area who posted
00:40:08.740 this online over the weekend.
00:40:10.720 The whole thing is well worth your time, but we cut about a minute from it.
00:40:13.420 Listen to this guy, Sat For.
00:40:16.220 Look, I'm Asian.
00:40:17.940 I'm Vietnamese.
00:40:18.580 Okay.
00:40:18.780 Well, we have our own communities too.
00:40:20.380 Our communities thriving.
00:40:23.360 You know, we have businesses.
00:40:25.320 We've been here only what, less than 50 years, since after the 1975.
00:40:31.580 Our communities are thriving throughout the United States.
00:40:35.000 If you look at our numbers, there's only about 2 million of us here in the United States.
00:40:39.140 And out of that 2 million people that we have, majority of us will have businesses, scientists, engineers, doctors, bright-minded people that are giving back to this country more than we've taken.
00:40:54.660 And we have never asked anybody to bow down or speak our language, okay?
00:41:00.680 Since when the fuck this stupid-ass mayor of the little pirate motherfucking land pirate simoleon in Minnesota have to speak their language and apologizing for those motherfucking crook-ass pirates.
00:41:14.000 Since when we have to do that?
00:41:16.220 This is just a fucking crook.
00:41:17.520 And he's a Jewish, dude.
00:41:19.380 What a shame.
00:41:20.620 You know?
00:41:21.340 What a shame.
00:41:22.700 What the fuck's wrong with him?
00:41:24.680 I mean, it's pretty frank talk, but how is he wrong?
00:41:28.060 Like, the pandering is beyond.
00:41:31.040 Well, he's not wrong.
00:41:32.420 He knows he's right because he comes from a country and a civilization and culture that still has common sense.
00:41:38.620 Like a lot of people who immigrate to America, they come from places that are actually a little saner than America.
00:41:43.520 And he understood that when you come to a new place, you work hard, you start businesses, you group together with your other immigrants to form things like mutual aid societies and banks and, you know, loan each other money.
00:41:58.120 And over the decades, you educate your children and they move up in society and together you create something that is a great story that only American can make possible.
00:42:09.760 So, he's looking at the new way, and I can tell you, as a Minnesotan, we had a huge wave of immigration, of very hard to absorb immigrants, Hmong, H-M-O-N-G.
00:42:23.980 They came in huge numbers to St. Paul after the Vietnam War, and you never hear a darn thing about it.
00:42:31.760 Why?
00:42:33.000 They don't necessarily fit in.
00:42:34.860 They preserve a lot of their traditional ways.
00:42:37.220 They have some very different religious beliefs and so on, but they worked hard.
00:42:42.640 Everybody loves them.
00:42:44.320 And so, there was a precursor to this Somalian thing.
00:42:49.380 But what they weren't given was a slice of the biggest fucking carnival that you're ever going to get politically.
00:42:57.660 We're going to make you rich.
00:42:59.040 You're going to make us rich.
00:43:00.440 We're going to, you know, gain control of billions and billions of dollars.
00:43:04.040 They didn't take that deal.
00:43:05.440 Maybe they knew not to bring it to them.
00:43:07.100 But somehow they knew these Somali leaders would take this deal.
00:43:10.440 And that means that whoever is the leadership of the Somali group really needs to be looked at carefully.
00:43:16.920 Because I happen to know that a lot of Somalis in Minnesota are pissed.
00:43:20.580 They're going, hey, wait.
00:43:22.140 We thought we were going to America, and we found out that our kids aren't learning to read in school.
00:43:27.980 We're going nowhere as a group.
00:43:31.340 Oh, great.
00:43:31.860 Now we're hated, too.
00:43:33.820 Yeah.
00:43:34.460 Thanks to your fellow Somalis.
00:43:36.000 Getting educated.
00:43:37.040 We don't have jobs.
00:43:38.480 We've learned all the ways to work the system.
00:43:41.280 And, you know, the other thing about people who you give stuff to, what do they do in the end?
00:43:46.360 They hate you for it.
00:43:47.600 They always, because it wasn't enough.
00:43:49.440 You didn't give it to them at the right time.
00:43:51.280 You gave it to them for the wrong reasons.
00:43:53.180 So the Somalis are not going to be satisfied.
00:43:56.520 I'd be afraid of them, too, if I was afraid.
00:43:59.140 They're like those relatives who you, you know, those poor relatives who, when you win the lottery, you give all the money.
00:44:04.440 Well, they're there for your house later and saying you don't deserve to live here.
00:44:08.740 Here's just some highlights of what's happening in Maine, per Rich McHugh of NewsNation.
00:44:13.320 Taxpayers in Maine have been bilked out of millions of dollars from the state's Medicaid program, according to a whistleblower he interviewed.
00:44:21.580 That whistleblower, Christopher Bernardini, describes himself as a former billing guru of a company called Gateway Community Services,
00:44:28.980 which is a health services contractor that he says defrauded Maine's Medicaid program.
00:44:35.020 He worked for them from May 2018 through April 2025.
00:44:37.820 Bernardini alleges that Gateway oversaw a system in which false records were filed about client visits.
00:44:46.400 He alleges an electronic monitoring system designed to track movements was manipulated to make it seem like field staff were visiting low-income and disabled clients,
00:44:56.720 when in reality, they did not come within miles of the client's homes.
00:45:01.620 Then they charged taxpayers for providing services like the monitoring that were never performed, he says.
00:45:11.420 Gateway worked with the state's Medicaid program, known as MaineCare.
00:45:15.640 Another former Gateway employee who asked to remain anonymous said that they saw records being manipulated,
00:45:23.020 time cards being manipulated to show services being provided that were not, and also times being manipulated.
00:45:28.940 Well, let's check in on that company's founder to see what he has to say.
00:45:33.120 His name, his CEO as well, is Abdullai Ali, a Somali-American who, while at the time he was serving as executive director for this company
00:45:43.940 that was allegedly falsifying time cards and field visits and getting reimbursed for it all,
00:45:49.240 was last year running for president of Jubaland, a state in Somalia's south that borders Kenya.
00:45:59.820 When reached by NewsNation, he said,
00:46:02.220 I make no apologies for building a successful business in Maine, working hard to earn a living, earning my PhD,
00:46:08.680 and I, you cannot change facts, he says, by fabricating false stories.
00:46:12.780 I am a proud Somali-American.
00:46:16.440 I'll bet you are.
00:46:18.140 Enjoy Jubaland, and good luck to Minnesota, or to Maine, and the federal government in trying to get their money back
00:46:25.760 from this dude who appears to be hanging out near Kenya.
00:46:31.240 He considers the enterprise that he headed a business, but from your short description of what it does,
00:46:39.140 what it does is it fills out paperwork that says you've been to places you haven't been,
00:46:45.500 talked to people you haven't talked to, provided services you haven't provided.
00:46:50.000 He considers that a business.
00:46:52.140 Well, maybe, but if that's the business that America is going to be in,
00:46:59.120 and that future immigrants are going to look to open,
00:47:03.060 we've got a dark, dark chapter ahead of us, because none of that helps anybody.
00:47:07.600 What you're really talking about was a money-skimming operation and a no-show job corporation,
00:47:15.860 and that that guy could be proud of anything about his life suggests he's an unrepentant, pathological criminal.
00:47:24.200 Also, pick a lane.
00:47:25.160 Do you want to be a Maine-American, or do you want to be in Jubaland as their effectively governor?
00:47:30.960 I want to show you one thing.
00:47:31.940 Maybe you saw the story of this Ed Bombas, an 88-year-old man who lost his retirement after his company that he worked his whole life at went bankrupt.
00:47:42.780 Then his wife died about seven or eight years ago of cancer, and he lost what remaining funds he had.
00:47:48.080 And at 88 years old, he decided he needed to go get a job and was working at the grocery store.
00:47:54.200 Until an Australian influencer went through, met him, heard the story, and opened up a GoFundMe for this dear man named Ed Bombas.
00:48:04.840 Here is the video of the Australian influencer presenting Ed Bombas, whose story went everywhere,
00:48:11.200 with the check that the influencer managed to raise through GoFundMe.
00:48:16.480 Watch.
00:48:16.780 This may be overwhelming, but we do have a little surprise for you.
00:48:22.300 So, if you would like to come with me, there's a lot of support for you here, man.
00:48:28.960 Thank you.
00:48:29.800 Of course.
00:48:31.320 I want to reveal that this is one of the largest individual fundraisers in GoFundMe history.
00:48:36.760 If you want, you will be able to retire, because we've raised you $1.77 million.
00:48:44.440 $1.77 million of dollars.
00:48:45.660 Look.
00:48:55.700 He's crying for hugging.
00:49:02.960 Something that dreams are made out of, trust me.
00:49:08.160 Congratulations, man.
00:49:09.900 Something dreams are made out of.
00:49:11.040 I cannot express any words for how thankful I am to all the people.
00:49:18.180 There are no words for how thankful I am to all the people.
00:49:20.520 Reportedly, one of the largest individual fundraisers in GoFundMe history.
00:49:24.280 Walter, this is how we used to take care of people.
00:49:27.740 We used to do it with charitable donations.
00:49:29.520 When someone fell on hard times, when they had a medical issue,
00:49:32.720 when something like what happened to Ed happened, we would do it.
00:49:35.140 But what happens now is the government's taxed everyone through the eyeballs.
00:49:39.360 They're not feeling as generous.
00:49:41.260 Joe Biden's inflation has run everybody to within pennies of their next paycheck.
00:49:45.700 And on top of that, especially in these blue-run cities,
00:49:49.100 there is a natural default to the government must and will fix it.
00:49:55.180 Except they don't fix it.
00:49:58.860 They steal it.
00:50:00.360 They make the problem worse so that they can have a bigger budget next year.
00:50:05.020 So they can go like that autistic programming from $3 million budget in one year
00:50:10.440 to, what, eight years later, $400 million budget.
00:50:13.880 That's not...
00:50:14.780 You see, places that fix problems go to a zero budget when they fix the problem.
00:50:19.760 And then they go do something else.
00:50:22.980 It's not just that we used to do it the way we saw it there.
00:50:26.480 It's that we don't do it at all anymore.
00:50:29.020 We do the opposite now.
00:50:30.880 And the fact is, every grocery store of America is full of guys like that
00:50:34.960 and women like that who are just honorably getting through their lives
00:50:39.340 and have faced reversals and so on.
00:50:41.720 And one of the reasons we don't help each other,
00:50:43.460 we don't know each other well enough.
00:50:45.000 We depend on a GoFundMe, sadly, to find out about the plight of our own grocery checker.
00:50:51.340 Get to know your neighbors.
00:50:52.940 Get to know your world.
00:50:54.180 Don't let these Sharpies tell you they're going to make everything better.
00:50:57.240 They never do.
00:50:58.240 It's going to be the five bucks out of your pocket that makes somebody's day better today.
00:51:02.960 Amen.
00:51:04.160 And good for this Australian influencer, Sam Wiedenhofer,
00:51:08.640 who saw someone suffering and did something about it.
00:51:12.380 More with Walter right after this.
00:51:13.680 First to break.
00:51:15.000 So, I can safely say that at times, sometimes more than not even,
00:51:19.200 we all feel sluggish, bloated, and not quite ourselves.
00:51:23.180 Modern life is hard.
00:51:24.540 Processed foods, too little sleep, endless stress,
00:51:27.360 can all disrupt your gut, sap energy, and weaken immune health.
00:51:32.100 Your body's not failing.
00:51:33.500 It might just be starving for the right fuel.
00:51:35.880 Let me tell you about Armra Colustrum,

00:52:27.940 Walter Kern is here.
00:52:29.200 He is editor-at-large of County Highway.
00:52:31.900 And back now with me.
00:52:33.080 Before we leave the subject of Minnesota and the fraud there,
00:52:36.400 Ilhan Omar, I mentioned it when we opened the show,
00:52:38.640 is out there, not apologizing for what happened in her community that she represents that built
00:52:44.800 all of us out of billions of dollars, but instead talking about how Stephen Miller is a Nazi.
00:52:52.380 Here she is in Sot 3.
00:52:56.000 I want to ask you something else that the architect of the president's
00:52:59.300 immigration policy, Stephen Miller, said.
00:53:01.600 On CBS.
00:53:02.100 On Thanksgiving Day, he posted,
00:53:04.460 no magic transformation occurs when failed states cross borders.
00:53:08.480 At scale, migrants and their descendants recreate the conditions and terrors of their broken homelands.
00:53:14.060 What do you make of this argument of failure to assimilate and sort of ruining America?
00:53:20.540 How do you understand this?
00:53:22.160 I mean, when I think about Stephen Miller and his white supremacist rhetoric,
00:53:28.440 it reminds me, yes, it reminds me of the way the Nazis,
00:53:32.100 the Nazis described Jewish people in Germany.
00:53:37.580 Margaret Brennan was fine with that.
00:53:39.460 It reminds me of the way that you described Jewish people.
00:53:42.460 Yeah, exactly.
00:53:43.820 She's like, yeah, okay.
00:53:46.540 She's as full of ethnic hatred.
00:53:49.320 She's as full of group hatred as anyone I've ever seen.
00:53:53.300 I guess she would know it in others, or maybe she's projecting.
00:53:56.960 What these people want us to believe about our leadership is very simple,
00:54:02.120 that they are motivated by deep, visceral, mythological hatred,
00:54:07.680 rather than very obvious human motives, like,
00:54:11.520 give me back my stuff, or don't ruin my neighborhood, or don't burn down my city.
00:54:18.460 Don't steal from me.
00:54:20.460 Right.
00:54:20.740 You don't have, in science, you don't have to look for the cause that's so remote,
00:54:27.280 it's out among the stars.
00:54:29.320 You can look at the thing that's in front of you, which is a city full of crime,
00:54:34.080 full of crime that didn't used to exist,
00:54:37.020 full of neighborhoods that still haven't been rebuilt after the George Floyd riots,
00:54:41.780 a city where people are afraid to go downtown to the giant corporate ballparks
00:54:46.300 that they had to pay for, partly with their tax money, but are now too unsafe to visit.
00:54:54.260 Oh, racism, notchism, you're going to end up giving those things a good name.
00:54:59.480 Because if young people think that not wanting to be hurt, not wanting to be robbed,
00:55:05.300 not wanting to have all your money taken,
00:55:07.340 and not wanting, you know, this kind of social disorder is Nazism,
00:55:12.760 then they'll end up embracing it, frankly.
00:55:15.620 The problem here is that name-calling as a response to massive destruction
00:55:23.740 in tens of billions of dollars, and in crime statistics and everything,
00:55:29.920 why are we still allowing it?
00:55:31.940 Yeah, right.
00:55:32.880 Why is a network person still allowing the conversation to be about that?
00:55:39.540 That's right, Margaret.
00:55:41.000 Margaret Brennan sat there and let her smear Stephen Miller as a white supremacist
00:55:46.100 as though it were a fact, because clearly she agrees.
00:55:50.900 I don't really give a shit whether Margaret Brennan agrees or not.
00:55:54.260 Her job, when he is not there, is to push back on that kind of rhetoric,
00:55:58.880 or you get sued, at a bare minimum, it is unfair and unethical to allow.
00:56:04.660 But she did it because, I guarantee you, she agrees with it.
00:56:07.840 This is why we played this soundbite at the time.
00:56:10.100 So Stephen Miller's wife is named Katie Miller,
00:56:12.820 and she's a podcaster, and she was on Doge.
00:56:15.800 And she has been making the rounds recently on CNN and other platforms,
00:56:21.220 trying out some punditry spots.
00:56:24.580 And sometimes it devolves into arguments about her husband.
00:56:28.080 And that happened when she went on CNN's Abby Phillips show,
00:56:32.080 because Abby Phillips had, she both hosts this hateful woman named Jennifer Welsh,
00:56:38.700 and she went on Jennifer Welsh's hateful leftist podcast,
00:56:42.980 and had absolutely no problem sitting across from Jennifer Welsh
00:56:46.200 and listening to her say the same things about Stephen Miller.
00:56:50.840 She didn't flutter an eyelash.
00:56:52.900 Abby Phillips wasn't moved by it, I guarantee you.
00:56:55.740 She agreed with it.
00:56:57.200 And then she tried to talk to Katie Miller and others on her panel about language
00:57:02.800 and what's proper language.
00:57:04.840 And Katie Miller was not going to stand for that,
00:57:07.000 having been the one who lives with Stephen Miller
00:57:09.540 and has to literally deal with the fallout from this kind of rhetoric about him
00:57:14.200 being used everywhere on leftist TV.
00:57:18.580 Here's the following exchange.
00:57:19.860 Wait, you have Jennifer Welsh on your show very often,
00:57:23.660 and you've never pushed back, as she has called my husband a white nationalist.
00:57:27.400 Hold on, Katie.
00:57:27.700 That is no different than Nick Fuentes going on Tucker Carlson's show.
00:57:30.960 It's not, and you should admit it.
00:57:31.920 Well, hold on.
00:57:32.500 Wait, hold on.
00:57:32.980 How is it anything similar?
00:57:35.100 It's not remotely similar at all.
00:57:36.940 Nick Fuentes sits around and says that he likes Hitler.
00:57:40.380 How is that similar to—
00:57:40.860 What does Katie have to do with it?
00:57:42.220 What does she have to do with it?
00:57:42.920 Hold on.
00:57:43.340 She has nothing to do with it.
00:57:44.660 Literally nothing.
00:57:45.980 Scott, Scott, Katie is the person who just said to me
00:57:49.020 that it is comparable to say that Nick Fuentes,
00:57:52.500 who is literally a neo-Nazi,
00:57:55.600 is the same as somebody, a liberal,
00:57:58.300 who has an opinion, who is not a neo-Nazi.
00:58:01.300 A hateful opinion.
00:58:02.160 A hateful opinion.
00:58:02.780 The same—
00:58:03.340 How do you want—
00:58:03.920 Excuse me.
00:58:04.320 Just let's go back to this point one more time.
00:58:06.000 But, Katie, it is not the same—
00:58:06.360 Nick Fuentes can espouse an opinion on Tucker Carlson's show,
00:58:09.000 and he didn't push back the same way you didn't push back
00:58:11.560 when someone called someone in my family a Nazi.
00:58:12.860 Hold on a second.
00:58:13.340 It's not different, Abby.
00:58:13.820 Hold on a second.
00:58:14.540 It's not.
00:58:14.920 If someone comes on this show and says,
00:58:18.100 I love Hitler and I admire what he did,
00:58:20.720 they would never—
00:58:21.500 First of all, I would never invite them on the show,
00:58:23.060 and they would never be invited back.
00:58:24.540 So those two things are not the same thing.
00:58:25.940 But yet you've gone on Jennifer Woolf's podcast.
00:58:27.400 It's the same thing.
00:58:30.300 Here's what's amazing.
00:58:31.260 So Abby Phillip doesn't understand.
00:58:33.680 She's upset.
00:58:34.520 She doesn't like the anti-Semitic views of Nick Fuentes
00:58:39.060 finding any sort of airtime.
00:58:41.560 But it's fine for her to platform and promote by going on the show
00:58:48.260 of a woman who's spewing anti-Semitic rhetoric about an American Jew
00:58:55.080 calling him a Nazi and a white supremacist.
00:58:59.520 Hello, his people were the ones killed by the Nazis
00:59:02.640 merely because he's enforcing the border,
00:59:06.040 because he's the architect of Trump's border enforcement programs,
00:59:08.960 which now even the New York Times has to admit were necessary thanks to Joe Biden.
00:59:15.260 That's because Abby Phillip and Margaret Brennan, both of them, Walter,
00:59:19.360 both of them agree about Stephen Miller, and they want those things said.
00:59:24.860 Of course they do, which makes them Hitler.
00:59:28.740 In fact, my whole life, 63 years old, I have studied World War II.
00:59:35.860 It hadn't ended that long before I was born.
00:59:38.460 We still had TV shows, Hogan's Heroes and so on.
00:59:41.580 When I was a kid, you know, we made models of battleships in the airplanes.
00:59:47.560 We're still talking about it?
00:59:49.020 I've almost forgotten who Hitler was.
00:59:51.120 I've almost forgotten what Nazi Germany was.
00:59:53.760 These people arguing here, I promise you, if you ask them what the major battle
00:59:59.960 of the last part of the war was that caused Hitler to lose,
01:00:03.540 they have no freaking idea.
01:00:06.360 This is just a language game and a show business game that's being used,
01:00:11.360 and these words have lost all meaning.
01:00:14.180 Nobody knows what Hitler looks like anymore.
01:00:16.200 If he hadn't had a mustache, he would have disappeared completely in their minds.
01:00:20.200 And the conversion of real-life issues into language games and debates about hatred
01:00:29.580 is the greatest trick ever to get people not look at the fact that their ship is sinking
01:00:36.060 and the water is up around their neck, and they're still arguing about Hitler.
01:00:41.420 It's a complete device by which we no longer look at reality,
01:00:48.260 and we just find the like-minded people who, like you say, are going to have the right attitudes.
01:00:57.380 Megan, I don't know where they find these people.
01:00:59.400 How do they all end up getting network news shows?
01:01:02.000 I know.
01:01:02.500 That's how.
01:01:03.760 That's how.
01:01:04.620 I mean, what's amazing is Margaret Brennan could have asked Ilhan Omar
01:01:07.340 that question in any one of a number of ways.
01:01:09.520 She could have said, do you admit there's a problem with assimilation
01:01:12.800 with many of these Somalis who come over here?
01:01:15.740 And can you understand the anger that American-born natives may have
01:01:19.700 to opening their doors and their communities to millions of Somalis
01:01:24.040 only to find out that the vast, vast majority of those committing the fraud are Somalis?
01:01:29.280 Do you understand that?
01:01:30.800 Why not give her that question?
01:01:33.160 Well, she should have, obviously.
01:01:34.900 But even more than that, coming from Minnesota, I can tell you assimilation isn't even the problem here.
01:01:41.720 Like I say, the Hmong people have not assimilated all that well in the sense that they're not all speaking
01:01:47.360 the language and out there, you know, doing all the all-American stuff.
01:01:50.900 But people don't hate them because what they hate isn't people who haven't assimilated.
01:01:57.740 Do that on your own schedule.
01:01:59.560 We like it when you do.
01:02:00.800 It's convenient.
01:02:02.080 And I think it shows respect for your country.
01:02:04.580 But what we really hate is when you take all our frickin' money using our heartstrings
01:02:09.720 and our care about autistic children and things like that,
01:02:13.260 and you turn it into giant dumpster loads of $100 bills that you take to your headquarters
01:02:20.040 and distribute as baksheesh to the loyal party members and then ship abroad.
01:02:25.680 We really hate being squalid.
01:02:26.260 Possibly to al-Shabaab, a terrorist group.
01:02:28.500 Right.
01:02:28.640 Yes, we hate that.
01:02:29.460 The problem with many, most in the influx of Islamic communities is that they don't want
01:02:40.140 to just do their own thing.
01:02:41.780 I do have a problem with non-assimilation, but let's just say that that's what they were
01:02:45.360 doing, non-assimilation.
01:02:46.440 Okay, that'd be not great in my view, but nowhere near the problem that they want us
01:02:52.320 to assimilate to their values.
01:02:54.920 And as Trump once said, largely they come from shithole countries like Somalia.
01:02:59.460 And we have zero desire to change anything about America to look more like Somalia.
01:03:04.740 It's a no.
01:03:05.700 We're not going to dress like the women who are part of your group.
01:03:09.260 We're not going to accede to the non-separation of church and state.
01:03:14.820 We're sick of the five-time-a-day call to prayer starting at three in the morning where
01:03:20.040 we have to listen to people shouting Allahu Akbar because many of us associate that with the worst
01:03:25.540 terrorist attack to ever happen on domestic soil, 9-11.
01:03:30.140 So it's a no on us assimilating to you.
01:03:33.880 If you want to be surrounded by a bunch of Somalias, go home.
01:03:38.540 Well, you know, Megan, we don't care that the Amish don't assimilate, but they leave us alone.
01:03:45.400 They don't want us to trade in our Chevy Suburbans for the horse and buggy.
01:03:49.200 Exactly.
01:03:50.220 You know, there are a lot of groups in America that choose to live in a sort of separate way
01:03:55.080 for whatever religious or cultural reasons, or they go slow with their adoption of certain
01:04:01.660 American things, which they might want to be smart about.
01:04:04.220 Like, I don't know that the idea when you get from another country is to go to the mall
01:04:08.080 and try to become a suburbanite American.
01:04:10.740 You might have a better thing going.
01:04:12.660 Maybe you have something to teach us.
01:04:14.020 I mean, let's face it, in certain sects of Islam, if you do that, you're going to be
01:04:20.420 honor-killed, truly.
01:04:22.020 Like, becoming more Western has been the basis for way too many so-called honor-killings
01:04:26.920 by diehard Islamists who don't want their daughters, who they brought to America, to become at all
01:04:32.920 Westernized.
01:04:34.060 But you see, it's not assimilation that scares me.
01:04:36.240 It's conquest.
01:04:37.000 It's when you try to push your damn program on me and tell me that I have to start giving
01:04:44.220 up my program bit by bit, piece by piece, because yours needs more space.
01:04:49.560 Yours needs more money.
01:04:51.280 Yours needs more prestige.
01:04:53.200 And in fact, I had my run because I'm part of some group that was successful 100 years
01:04:58.420 ago in Europe, which they weren't.
01:05:00.340 I promise you, they wouldn't have left.
01:05:01.700 Um, they were Hungarian gypsies who had horses if they were lucky and went around in covered
01:05:07.280 wagons.
01:05:08.020 Okay.
01:05:08.860 Uh, anyway, it's not assimilation that's my, my problem.
01:05:13.060 My problem is aggressiveness, conquest, theft, and the, uh, attempt to basically back me down
01:05:22.700 in wanting the basic things for my family and my community so that you guys can get more.
01:05:29.160 Since we are on the subject of our dishonest media, let me give you this soundbite from
01:05:36.020 Stephanie Rule, who's an MSNBC anchor.
01:05:40.280 And, um, she, she appeared at the New York Times Dealbook Summit round table.
01:05:46.860 We, they invited us to attend this thing.
01:05:49.120 We said no.
01:05:50.480 Um, and here she is shocked, shocked to hear that anyone thinks MSNBC has a liberal bias.
01:05:59.160 You should trust the media that earns your trust.
01:06:02.660 You know what you're going to get when you tune into Fox News.
01:06:04.840 You know what you're going to get when you tune into CNN.
01:06:06.360 You know what you're going to get when you tune into MSNBC.
01:06:08.220 I challenge that.
01:06:09.100 You don't.
01:06:10.240 Oh, that's not true.
01:06:11.240 I know exactly what I'm going to get when I turn on Fox News.
01:06:12.680 I know exactly what angle they're going to come with.
01:06:14.480 If I turn on MSNBC, I know I'm getting a, a, a, a left angle.
01:06:17.960 I know that.
01:06:18.240 Are you shocked when you turn on MSNBC?
01:06:20.300 Are you like, oh my God, I didn't see this tape coming?
01:06:22.440 We're going to talk about surprise.
01:06:23.000 I invite you to watch my show any night of the week.
01:06:26.680 Okay.
01:06:27.780 You would be the first to do so because she literally has no avid fans whatsoever.
01:06:32.380 There are no numbers following Stephanie Ruhle or anybody else at MSNBC other than the one
01:06:37.340 day a week that Rachel Maddow shows up.
01:06:39.420 Um, but we dipped in so that you won't have to.
01:06:42.020 Here's just a sampling of how the totally objective, who, who could guess where she's
01:06:46.000 going to land Stephanie Ruhle sounds on that program.
01:06:49.280 Watch.
01:06:49.540 I just thought I'm not going to vote for her.
01:06:53.000 Donald Harris is not running for perfect.
01:06:54.680 She's running against Trump.
01:06:56.660 And so there are some things you might not know her answer to.
01:07:00.660 And in 2024, unlike 2016 for a lot of the American people, we know exactly what Trump
01:07:07.220 will do, who he is, and the kind of threat he is to democracy.
01:07:11.200 The latest attack has been that Joe Biden has politicized and weaponized the DOJ, right?
01:07:16.600 That was the whole argument around Donald Trump's conviction.
01:07:19.540 And this week, of course, Hunter Biden was found guilty.
01:07:22.980 And Joe Biden has very clearly said he would not pardon his son.
01:07:26.940 How stark is this difference?
01:07:29.340 I mean, how can Republicans keep making this argument?
01:07:32.180 Where's Hunter?
01:07:33.840 And he's accepted his sentence.
01:07:35.080 What will the future hold?
01:07:36.660 Now that America has just decided that we're going to F around and find out.
01:07:43.720 That was the day after Trump was elected.
01:07:45.900 I'm sorry, Walter.
01:07:47.060 What a painful phony she is.
01:07:49.480 Where did she learn that act?
01:07:50.880 I love going on your show, Megan.
01:07:52.540 Somehow you didn't turn into one of those creatures.
01:07:54.480 She has some kind of training in looking authoritative and getting other people to shut up.
01:08:01.840 And every once in a while, she uses an expression from the internet, like F-A-F-O.
01:08:07.040 And basically, all she does is she's like a party leader, an enforcer.
01:08:12.900 People don't know what they're going to get when they tune into her show.
01:08:18.980 They know exactly what they're going to get.
01:08:23.400 That's why they tune into her show.
01:08:25.040 That's why they tune into her show.
01:08:26.780 You're going to dismiss everybody else.
01:08:29.120 You're going to act like you're smarter.
01:08:30.660 You're going to not give any substance or evidence for your arguments.
01:08:35.400 You're going to continue to act as though things that giant disasters that have happened didn't happen.
01:08:41.740 You know, shouldn't you be in mourning for realizing that Tim Walsh almost became your party's vice president when you're seeing what happened?
01:08:54.820 Shamelessness at that level is absolutely a skill.
01:08:59.000 And I don't know where they learn it.
01:09:00.300 And I don't know how they hang on to it and how they socialize such that they never meet real people.
01:09:05.780 But I don't think they ever do.
01:09:08.280 The Hunter Biden bit is amazing.
01:09:10.560 Like, now how are they going to attack him?
01:09:13.460 He says he's not going to pardon him.
01:09:15.340 You know, he said it.
01:09:17.020 Oh, OK.
01:09:17.840 How'd that work out?
01:09:19.000 Wrong again.
01:09:19.960 Was it just because she was blinded by her totally well-placed faith in the president's word?
01:09:25.620 No.
01:09:26.220 The rest of us all knew it was bullshit when Biden said it.
01:09:29.420 We doubted it openly on the air.
01:09:31.260 And therefore, we didn't look like fools when he actually did pardon Hunter Biden.
01:09:34.840 The truth is, 15 minutes before Trump became president, Joe Biden pardoned his entire family.
01:09:41.260 Yeah.
01:09:42.020 Yeah.
01:09:42.360 His entire family.
01:09:44.360 And there she is just pretending like he said he's not going to.
01:09:47.760 So, you know, that's what's true.
01:09:50.160 That's what's real.
01:09:50.600 There's never a second show where, like, excuse me, I said he wouldn't pardon Hunter Biden.
01:09:56.140 But he actually did go and pardon everybody named Biden a little bit later.
01:10:01.340 So I got to revise.
01:10:03.300 No, she just launches assertions into the void that will never be challenged, that will all be wrong.
01:10:09.600 And she knows the moment she says them that they're going to be wrong.
01:10:12.540 And but she's going to keep going and through sheer momentum, stay ahead of reality.
01:10:18.020 But that whole model, staying ahead of reality financially, media wise, in terms of your statements about how things work, isn't working anymore.
01:10:27.900 You can't just go on sheer blarney and momentum anymore.
01:10:32.000 That's my bet.
01:10:33.460 Or can you?
01:10:35.220 Or can you?
01:10:35.740 Because speaking of Rachel Maddow, who was there's no bigger perpetrator on TV of the fake Russiagate hoax.
01:10:42.660 She's numero uno by a long distance.
01:10:46.440 There are some like Natasha Bertrand over at CNN and others in the print media who do contributor roles.
01:10:53.040 But she's number one by a lot.
01:10:55.140 And here she is.
01:10:55.620 Is she sorry?
01:10:56.540 Has she changed her tune?
01:10:57.960 Is she acknowledging that this is all a fucking pack of lies?
01:11:01.280 Here she is on Colbert a week ago tomorrow.
01:11:04.080 It was last Tuesday.
01:11:04.800 We've been meaning to get to the soundbite.
01:11:06.360 Here it is today.
01:11:07.400 SOT 18.
01:11:09.520 What we've ended up with is the White House plan, the peace plan for Russia and Ukraine, which was appears quite literally to have been written in the Kremlin and then given to Steve Whitcoff, who then advised the Kremlin on how best to sell it to Trump.
01:11:25.980 I mean, it really just feels like the whole Putin and Trump thing that was so weird for all those years, which a lot of us reported on a lot at the time and got a lot of hassle for it.
01:11:36.880 I'm just saying it kind of seems like that's now paid off with the Kremlin actually running U.S. foreign policy through the president's doofus Gulf friend.
01:11:44.580 And it's it's hilarious, except for the fact that we're now years into this deadly war in Ukraine where they used to think we were their ally and we were helping them stand up against this tyranny.
01:11:57.720 And now we apparently have been captured by the Kremlin and work for Vladimir Putin.
01:12:02.000 I don't know what Putin has on him, but he works for Putin and it's an embarrassment to this country.
01:12:07.160 Well, what did Putin have on Biden when he invaded Ukraine under Biden, apparently unafraid that Biden would do anything and properly because Biden didn't?
01:12:18.680 OK, well, yeah, Rachel, with your glasses, you've been on too long.
01:12:25.940 You do a job.
01:12:27.180 Your job was to sell the idea that Donald Trump was Putin's patsy.
01:12:31.040 You did it in every McCarthyist way you could.
01:12:33.820 I have in this sealed envelope the secret contract between Putin and Trump, and I will reveal it on a future show.
01:12:40.600 She she teased every damn thing from taxes to whatever.
01:12:44.080 We're going to have the big reveal.
01:12:45.360 It never happened.
01:12:47.000 In fact, Putin got his biggest gain under Biden when he invaded Ukraine.
01:12:51.520 And now that's Trump's fault, too, somehow.
01:12:55.900 The whole thing needs to be swept away.
01:12:58.340 By the time the new year comes, Rachel, I mean, Megan, we need there to be no more Rachel's.
01:13:05.000 We can remember them.
01:13:06.940 We can have their, you know, on the air, not in general.
01:13:09.860 But but we no longer need to play with this model.
01:13:15.720 They're all they're all from another world.
01:13:19.020 And we're trying to move into a reality based world where we solve our problems, keep track of our money, get results for our, you know, get results for our political enterprises, make people tell the truth and so on.
01:13:32.240 And that whole circus that they've been running, it needs to leave town.
01:13:37.780 And if it won't leave town, it's not.
01:13:39.600 Then we need to ignore it.
01:13:40.880 It's metastasizing.
01:13:42.340 And now not only do we have to deal with the principals who are saying this nonsense, we have to deal with their spouses who are saying equal nonsense.
01:13:49.780 And that leads me to Jimmy Kimmel's wife, whose name is Molly McNerney.
01:13:54.040 We showed the audience her soundbites when we were out on tour where she blasted Trump saying this is after her husband had a six day suspension saying that they had to break it to their daughter, that this all happened because of Trump.
01:14:12.500 He's the reason that Jimmy's show was suspended as opposed to Jimmy's inane comments trying to blame Charlie Kirk's assassination on MAGA didn't take any responsibility to blame Trump with her child.
01:14:23.860 And she also confessed that she's lost relationships with family over Trump because voting for Trump is not voting for my husband and me and my family.
01:14:34.540 And now she's out there at the Hollywood Reporter's 2025 Women in Entertainment Breakfast and take a listen to Jimmy Kimmel's wife now.
01:14:44.620 She's making herself, in her own mind, into a star.
01:14:48.860 She's done nothing other than, I guess, right for Jimmy.
01:14:52.480 Must have been a really tough gig to get.
01:14:54.600 And now they're making a feminist icon out of her because she whacks poetic on a podcast about how Trump is to blame for everything.
01:15:01.820 Now she gets, I guess, an award at the Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Breakfast.
01:15:06.760 And here's how she used her time.
01:15:08.600 Sat 19.
01:15:13.780 I've been asked to speak about freedom of speech.
01:15:16.700 And I have to be honest, I naively assumed it was a guarantee in this country until September 16th, 2025.
01:15:23.500 It's something that I took for granted.
01:15:25.960 It's something I thought I'd always have.
01:15:29.520 Like my period.
01:15:31.820 Did you guys know that those just stop?
01:15:35.360 They just stop.
01:15:37.220 Your period stops, you guys.
01:15:39.340 It stops.
01:15:39.700 You're so weird.
01:15:40.780 And it turns out that some freedoms in this country can, too.
01:15:45.720 We experienced it most recently in 2022 when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
01:15:51.640 And we got another taste of it two months ago.
01:15:54.180 I watched a show and coworkers and friends and a man I love be put on indefinite suspension after our very thin-skinned president asked for his removal and for his FCC chair to publicly threaten the company that we work for.
01:16:12.640 Yeah, he's Nelson Mandela.
01:16:13.760 It is a fragile time for freedom.
01:16:17.000 Oh, my God, Walter.
01:16:19.260 She is straight at a central casting with, like, the uptight, tight little face and the bad haircut and her bad color choices out there trying to lecture on how Jimmy Kimmel truly is like a Nelson Mandela because he had six nights off, two were over the weekend, and he got paid millions of dollars for it and became some sort of cultural free speech icon as a result of him saying MAGA killed Charlie.
01:16:42.540 False information.
01:16:45.660 Listen, there was an assassination, lady.
01:16:49.620 Your husband was talking about the victim.
01:16:53.180 He characterized the assassin as coming from a world that he didn't at a time when people were mourning.
01:17:00.300 Your network, the network that ABC and its affiliates comprise, has a duty to the national common good.
01:17:14.320 It's expressed in a contract that they make for their broadcast license that someone spoke up and said,
01:17:22.760 you know, you might be starting to tread on a violation of your agreement with the FCC.
01:17:30.540 And that became, what, the day the music died for the Kimmel family?
01:17:35.320 That's the beginning of the day that all of America should get down in mourning and worry about whatever didn't happen during those six days that would have otherwise, what, they didn't go to the top of the line at Disneyland and they didn't get all these other free things that weekend?
01:17:52.440 No.
01:17:53.320 She is a propagandist and that she's linking it to women's issues?
01:17:58.180 How weird.
01:17:58.800 Oh, my God.
01:17:59.480 The period?
01:18:01.380 Free speech and menstruation are somehow the same thing.
01:18:04.100 Oh, she's on a tear.
01:18:06.720 She's in front of women.
01:18:07.620 So we have to talk about bleeding out of our wherevers because that's what defines us.
01:18:12.060 OK, we got it.
01:18:13.040 Didn't President Trump take a whole lot of shit for making that point?
01:18:16.360 Only you get honored if you say it as a leftist.
01:18:18.740 If it's all about your period and you're on the left, it's great.
01:18:21.960 You get an award at the Entertainment for Women, whatever that event was.
01:18:26.080 Megan, I spent years on this free speech issue with Matt Taibbi.
01:18:29.580 We've had endless harassment and persecution over it, frankly.
01:18:36.620 Bad things have happened.
01:18:38.520 That she then took over for the Kimmel family, the issue of free speech that day was an appropriation of the work of people who really have sacrificed, who are really trying to keep free speech going.
01:18:52.780 We're trying to keep us from turning into Europe or Britain or Canada where you can go to jail for a tweet.
01:19:00.680 That's what we're trying to do, the real free speech people.
01:19:04.080 What you're trying to do is complain about losing some damn friends over a weekend in Hollywood.
01:19:08.940 You didn't lose any friends.
01:19:10.220 You gained friends.
01:19:11.460 I promise you.
01:19:12.620 Yes.
01:19:13.040 You had a little blip in the reading.
01:19:13.940 You're enjoying playing the role of victim.
01:19:16.180 Yes.
01:19:16.780 Yes.
01:19:17.300 And they're taking away the issue from the people who really fight for it, and they're turning the issue into something it's not.
01:19:24.240 Yes.
01:19:24.700 Okay, so on that front, I've got to play the other soundbite of her at this event.
01:19:28.800 It requires no introduction.
01:19:30.520 Just watch this.
01:19:31.180 There are women not lucky enough to be in this room outside these walls who desperately need us to use our hard-won freedom of speech.
01:19:42.600 There is a woman out there who is separated from her children by masked men right here on our streets and sent to a country she does not call home.
01:19:52.220 She needs our voice.
01:19:54.240 Oh, Lord.
01:19:54.580 There is a woman who is not going to be able to afford her sick mother's insurance premiums.
01:20:00.100 She needs our voice.
01:20:02.760 Because of you.
01:20:03.740 There is a woman who is being denied the ability to make choices about her own body and her own life, and she needs our voice.
01:20:12.900 There is a woman burying her boy, shot for being black.
01:20:17.960 She needs our voice.
01:20:20.620 There is a woman being called Piggy by our president.
01:20:24.740 She is one of many female reporters being shouted down.
01:20:29.500 It's always the women being shouted down.
01:20:32.380 Your husband watched them jump on trampolines and bikinis.
01:20:34.800 I know it's a lot easier to talk yourself out of it and to bury your head in TikTok.
01:20:38.240 My husband and my workplace, my livelihood and my friends have been threatened multiple times by the president of the United States and the propaganda machine that feasts on deliberately misinterpreting our words and making comedy the enemy.
01:20:56.320 Oh, my God.
01:20:58.140 There's so much wrong with that soundbite.
01:21:00.980 She's crying.
01:21:02.080 There's a tear coming down her.
01:21:03.580 There's a tear.
01:21:04.440 She.
01:21:04.900 Why did the president attack Jimmy Kimmel?
01:21:07.000 Left unsaid is the number of vicious, untrue attacks he launched on Trump.
01:21:12.260 And the nerve to talk about how Trump called a woman Piggy.
01:21:15.060 Take one look back at your husband's disgusting, offensive history when it comes to the treatment of women, never mind blacks.
01:21:24.200 Now she's super worried about black boys being killed innocent by police, which is a fucking lie.
01:21:29.940 And what about your husband in his black face speaking in Ebonics, mocking Karl Malone, Oprah and countless others?
01:21:38.400 Perhaps you contributed to the environment you claim to be so upset about.
01:21:42.580 Jimmy Kimmel's wife, whatever your name is, Molly contributed and they created it.
01:21:48.140 They did skits about shunning your family in during covid.
01:21:52.280 They've done skits about telling your Trump people to go to hell.
01:21:56.060 You could argue that your dehumanization of the other side gets people shot in the head.
01:22:04.520 You know, you could argue it.
01:22:05.800 You could argue that the Ku Klux Klan got Martin Luther King shot in the head.
01:22:10.860 And you could argue that the Jimmy Kimmel show got Charlie Kirk shot in the head.
01:22:15.300 I can argue it.
01:22:16.280 Why shouldn't I?
01:22:17.200 It in some ways stands to reason.
01:22:19.120 The number of people that you have called Nazis, infected outsiders, below human interest, you know, anti-vax Barbie lovers or whatever could could fill America.
01:22:35.740 You have done more to make us hate each other, hate ourselves, not associate with each other, use words to dismiss each other rather than use sentences to explain ourselves to each other.
01:22:49.060 You are at absolute ground zero of American hatred and division.
01:22:54.740 Own it.
01:22:55.000 OK, all my yelling made me need a cough drop.
01:22:58.940 So I put my head to preserve my voice, which is just coming back.
01:23:03.040 But the nerve, the nerve of this woman.
01:23:05.420 And by the way, I forgot to mention Rachel Maddow smugly sitting on that couch, totally fucking safe with her multimillion dollar homes, dismissing Steve Whitcoff as the doofus golf friend of President Donald Trump.
01:23:18.280 That doofus golf friend just achieved peace in the Middle East.
01:23:22.880 You absolute cretin.
01:23:24.460 And because he hasn't managed to land the plane yet with Ukraine and Russia, he's a doofus golf friend.
01:23:31.580 I mean, the smug, elitist nastiness of that woman sitting there.
01:23:40.020 Megan, since they don't have to have any substance to their charges, since they don't have to back them up with evidence at all, and since when they're proven wrong, they don't have to apologize for them.
01:23:49.220 Then I just think we should accuse them right out of the gate of what they accuse other people of.
01:23:53.100 I think Rachel Maddow is an agent of Putin.
01:23:57.780 I think she's an agent of Russia.
01:23:59.900 I think she's an agent of Russia.
01:24:01.580 And I think she should prove with her taxes and other things that she isn't.
01:24:06.860 Until now, until then, I will say that the reason she always goes against Putin is to make it seem that we're angry at him while he gets his way with everything.
01:24:21.160 She is just an absolutely McCarthyist opposite of what they used to call the Red Scare.
01:24:30.500 And it's gone way too far.
01:24:32.700 There is absolutely no discipline on them except that they lose market share.
01:24:36.800 And yet they still go on.
01:24:38.020 And I mean, why do they keep MSN now even on the air?
01:24:43.360 It shouldn't even be here anymore.
01:24:45.540 They're keeping on some life support, mini MSN now.
01:24:48.460 How about the nerve, Walter, of Rachel Maddow trying to play off her Russiagate hoax months and months of completely unfactual, unserious reporting?
01:25:04.960 And I took a—they gave me quite a hard time over that reporting.
01:25:09.420 It's looking pretty good now.
01:25:11.400 It's panning out.
01:25:12.200 Now, this is unbelievable, the gaslighting.
01:25:16.440 But this is how we know we live in a controlled news environment, okay?
01:25:20.540 It's controlled from above the level of the boardroom.
01:25:23.480 I'm sorry.
01:25:24.420 Because that story, on mere editorial terms, in terms of how it was working out, whether it was proving true, et cetera, should never have gotten as big as it was.
01:25:36.560 The only people who needed that story to go and go and go forever were the Democratic Party leadership.
01:25:43.400 That's the people who needed it.
01:25:45.580 And they apparently control people like Rachel Maddow.
01:25:49.120 And so she is, in a sense, an agent of someone.
01:25:52.740 And because she's now committed to the bit.
01:25:58.160 And we don't even remember the bit anymore.
01:26:00.980 But she's still anti-cru.
01:26:02.240 She's banking on it.
01:26:03.460 Yeah.
01:26:03.740 So I've got to take a quick break.
01:26:07.320 But there is one more media story that I've got to discuss with you.
01:26:10.460 It's been really bothering me.
01:26:12.460 I'll explain it after this break.
01:26:13.880 And then, if time allows, we'll get to MTG on 60.
01:26:16.720 Don't go away.

01:29:03.600 Walter Kern is back with me.
01:29:05.260 Walter, this happened about a week ago, and it's really been bothering me.
01:29:10.320 I never heard of this woman before, but I have a serious problem with what's been done to her by the media.
01:29:17.200 Here were the headlines a few days back.
01:29:19.780 Daily Mail, CNN star who was forced to resign after using the N-word dies at 62.
01:29:28.800 The Mirror, U.S., CNN host Valerie Hoff DiCarlo dies at 62 after quitting industry over racial slur drama.
01:29:38.300 The U.S. Sun, ex-CNN anchor dies at 62 after vile racist slur destroyed career.
01:29:44.460 Daily Star, ex-CNN news anchor who resigned after making sick racial slur dies at 62.
01:29:49.780 Okay, sounds bad.
01:29:53.560 I'm like, what the hell did she do?
01:29:55.180 Did she, like, say the N-word on the air?
01:29:57.260 Like, what happened with this woman?
01:29:59.820 You're not going to believe this story.
01:30:01.960 Okay, she had a long career.
01:30:04.400 From 1999 to 2017, she worked at 11 Alive, which is a local news organization.
01:30:13.400 Prior to that, for a few years, she worked at CNN Headline News back in the early to mid-1990s.
01:30:19.800 Here's a quick clip of her.
01:30:21.400 Again, her name is Valerie—I just want to make sure, sorry—Valerie Hoff DiCarlo.
01:30:28.540 Watch.
01:30:29.180 Mm-hmm.
01:30:29.440 A Parisian cultural treasure is in trouble.
01:30:33.820 And a modern-era cowboy who's drawing praise for his literary aim.
01:30:39.600 Those stories and more with Bob Lozier after a short break.
01:30:43.040 I'm Valerie Hoff.
01:30:44.560 A whole day's news every half hour.
01:30:46.540 This is Headline News.
01:30:47.600 She was based in Atlanta, where CNN was based, and then went on to, again, local news there
01:30:52.600 in Atlanta, 11 Alive, and she died.
01:30:55.480 She died last week of lung cancer at the age of 62.
01:30:58.400 And that was the headline that virtually everyone went with to memorialize this poor woman.
01:31:06.580 This woman who'd been a news anchor for over 20 years, serving her local community, reporting,
01:31:12.280 as her LinkedIn said, on things like, she said, anchoring live coverage on CNN during the
01:31:19.540 Gulf War, reporting from New York City during the September 11th attack on the World Trade
01:31:23.940 Center, consumer investigation stories that have revealed, she wrote, expired groceries
01:31:28.720 in local supermarkets and jewelry billed as all-natural that was actually synthetic and
01:31:33.140 worth a fraction of the selling price.
01:31:35.060 Those are the kinds of stories that she reported on for her audience over the many years.
01:31:39.380 So what was this moment that led to her termination from 11 Alive and led to the headlines being
01:31:47.160 all about this one thing?
01:31:49.300 What was this cardinal sin?
01:31:50.980 Well, I went back and looked it up.
01:31:53.600 By the way, she was an Emmy Award winning reporter and anchor.
01:31:57.800 It was April of 2017.
01:32:00.060 She was with 11 Alive News.
01:32:02.140 There was a story in the news about a man.
01:32:06.020 A man had posted a video capturing police brutality in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
01:32:11.880 It involved a police officer, I believe, and punching a black motorist.
01:32:17.700 So he posted the video of it.
01:32:19.960 And she, along with many other news reporters, were trying to get permission to use it.
01:32:24.300 So to the contrary of like ignoring cop on black violence, she wanted to put it on the air
01:32:31.000 and report on it, but she needed permission to use the video.
01:32:34.440 So the guy who captured the moment is named Curtis Rivers, and he is a black man.
01:32:41.480 He posted the video showing the violence.
01:32:44.900 And after the clip went viral, many news reporters reached out to him to try to get the rights
01:32:50.580 to use the video.
01:32:51.240 He later wrote on X, I guess annoyed at all the attention, quote, I just posted a video
01:32:57.000 to get some justice, to get some justice.
01:32:59.840 Now I got news N words, ending in A-S, all up my DMs telling me to call them.
01:33:09.060 So he's annoyed.
01:33:10.180 So he's calling the news people who are contacting him, news N words.
01:33:14.460 Right.
01:33:14.840 After that tweet, Hoff DiCarlo privately messaged him, seeking permission to use the video.
01:33:20.800 She wrote, please call this news N blank, blank, blank, A, LOL, I'm with 11 alive.
01:33:31.320 That's it.
01:33:33.320 That's what she did.
01:33:35.260 She, she wasn't using that term.
01:33:38.180 She was repeating his use of that term to describe news people like her in an annoying way.
01:33:46.380 She was being self-deprecating saying, yeah, sorry, I'm one of these annoying people who's
01:33:51.640 been bothering you trying to like chummy, chum it up with him, like trying to get on
01:33:57.000 his way of line.
01:33:58.360 Yes, exactly.
01:33:59.900 And he initially had a nice exchange with her where he responded saying, and I have the
01:34:05.220 tweet exchange in front of me, um, L M F A O.
01:34:10.920 And then he says, I got it from a group chat.
01:34:12.820 I don't know where or who filmed it.
01:34:14.380 And then he says, I just looked through your photos on Twitter and realize you aren't black,
01:34:18.440 but called me an N word because her tweet reads, please call this news N word, LOL, I'm with
01:34:27.100 11 alive.
01:34:28.040 Where did you get the video?
01:34:29.560 That's what she, and so if you look at that, it could be, please call this news like common
01:34:35.460 comma.
01:34:36.840 And then the N word, it's obviously not that.
01:34:38.960 Cause he had used that term himself.
01:34:41.500 She's saying, call me responds.
01:34:43.740 That's right.
01:34:44.220 And she responds saying, no, no, no, no.
01:34:45.780 I called myself one.
01:34:47.420 I'm a news lady at 11 alive.
01:34:49.300 I thought you were referring to all of us.
01:34:51.560 So sorry if you didn't understand.
01:34:53.660 I called myself one.
01:34:55.040 He's she's saying, and she says, this man deserves justice.
01:34:58.740 And she says, again, I'm very sorry.
01:35:00.180 I offended you.
01:35:00.780 I was not offended by what you called the media, but I should not have used it back even
01:35:05.160 in a direct message.
01:35:06.960 And then she says, by the way, the second officer just got fired.
01:35:09.960 And he says, how would I be able to contact your manager or lawyer?
01:35:14.220 And he took the story public, which is how she was publicly disgraced.
01:35:19.620 She got fired.
01:35:21.280 They fired her for this.
01:35:22.500 They offered her the chance to either resign or be fired.
01:35:25.080 She said it was not voluntary.
01:35:27.840 And they wouldn't even allow her back into the building to pick up her belongings.
01:35:31.400 They suspended her email so she couldn't retrieve contacts of anybody.
01:35:34.540 She couldn't get a resume taped together.
01:35:36.600 She told the journal constitution at the time, I was quoting something the gentleman said
01:35:40.300 in a public tweet back to him in a private message.
01:35:43.640 But that doesn't make it any less offensive.
01:35:45.680 It was incredibly stupid and reckless.
01:35:47.760 I was in the middle of a pressure filled day trying to chase down the video of a man
01:35:51.220 being beaten and kicked by two Gwinnett police officers, which this particular gentleman had
01:35:55.160 posted on Twitter.
01:35:56.000 I repeatedly apologized and continue to do so.
01:35:58.680 The man who kind of caused the trouble by bringing the tweet public wound up saying, just stop.
01:36:07.180 I don't want her fired.
01:36:08.500 Like, all's forgiven.
01:36:09.720 Like, I didn't want it to be blown up into this big a deal.
01:36:12.020 And that was 2017, all right, almost nine years ago.
01:36:15.800 Now, this poor woman dies at age 62, very young by anybody's modern standard.
01:36:24.460 And instead of the news media that might have a thought for their fellow journalists on, like,
01:36:29.960 understanding what we do to one another in this business, how vicious we are, that you
01:36:35.820 might not want to make one incident the sum total of this woman's life and her reporting
01:36:41.460 career dances on her grave and uses that one innocent moment, not smart, but innocent moment
01:36:50.700 to define this entire woman wanting people to remember her as a racist who got fired for using
01:36:58.300 the N-word.
01:36:59.040 It's disgusting.
01:37:00.640 And she deserved better.
01:37:02.900 So the story's untrue.
01:37:04.940 She's not a racist.
01:37:06.500 She should never have apologized and said she was having a hard day.
01:37:09.540 I'm sorry.
01:37:10.140 I feel bad that she's passed.
01:37:13.140 I don't want to deprecate her further.
01:37:15.620 But sadly, her mistake was acting like these people weren't just out to lunch and they got
01:37:19.460 everything wrong.
01:37:20.920 Instead, she got pulled in into some human resources struggle session culture where she
01:37:26.820 had to pretend to be tired and so on and not just say, like, the guy called, actually,
01:37:31.260 the guy called me that word, okay, as a group.
01:37:35.160 And then, now we have this new phenomenon where every single one of the obituaries has the
01:37:42.900 same incident in it.
01:37:44.480 Who made that decision?
01:37:46.520 How does that decision get made the same way in every single newsroom, at every single editorial
01:37:53.140 meeting?
01:37:55.340 What?
01:37:55.920 No one went back and looked?
01:37:58.120 Apparently not.
01:37:59.200 I know.
01:37:59.700 If anybody, why do we live in this world?
01:38:04.440 It's almost like we are sitting still for something that we should have gotten up from
01:38:11.520 the table and left a long time ago.
01:38:13.280 If you're going to put that somebody's a racist in their obituary, then you need to explain
01:38:18.420 very well why that's the most important thing about their life and why it has anything to do with
01:38:24.420 their death.
01:38:25.160 Frankly, the only reason they gave that woman an obituary was so that they could have that
01:38:29.840 headline.
01:38:30.480 A lot of people who once anchored at CNN's headline news don't get obituaries.
01:38:36.260 This was an attempt to, as you say, prime and keep it going.
01:38:40.460 Keep the racism thing going by any hook or by crook.
01:38:43.840 Use obituaries.
01:38:44.920 Use whatever you have to do.
01:38:47.340 And we can't allow ourselves to be bathed in this toxin and have it be called our culture.
01:38:56.040 And the people who do it need to be looked at as almost like burglars or criminals from
01:39:03.120 out of town.
01:39:04.020 Like, get out of our town.
01:39:06.320 We're not racist.
01:39:07.540 We're not going to be constantly called things that we aren't.
01:39:12.060 And worse, we're not going to have our standard of living in our entire culture sink below
01:39:15.940 the waves while we have arguments about who said what.
01:39:20.360 She dies of lung cancer at 62.
01:39:24.480 And even that brings out nothing from them.
01:39:27.420 Nothing.
01:39:28.220 No sympathy for her husband.
01:39:29.700 She was trying to be nice when she was called a racist.
01:39:32.340 Yeah.
01:39:33.160 Honestly, it's obviously what she was trying to do.
01:39:35.560 She's using his term.
01:39:36.680 It's not like she pulled it out of the ether.
01:39:38.640 He had said it publicly in a tweet.
01:39:41.200 She's trying to bond with him.
01:39:42.400 Like, I know I'm one of those annoying people you just referenced with this exact term.
01:39:46.700 And then he threw a fit because he realized she wasn't black and she used his term.
01:39:51.620 It's just so crazy.
01:39:52.980 And I just, I don't know, Walter.
01:39:54.500 Like, I remember Roger Ailes used to say, like, I'm going to be savaged in my obituary
01:40:00.380 no matter what happens with me.
01:40:01.840 And, you know, my relationship with Roger has been very well documented in many forms.
01:40:06.040 But we had our ups and downs, to say the least.
01:40:09.480 But I cared about Roger.
01:40:11.040 I still care about him.
01:40:12.540 And I never wanted his obit to be defined by his Me Too situation.
01:40:18.300 He was so much more than that.
01:40:20.480 And some got it right and some chose not to.
01:40:23.220 So many on the left, frankly, were more obsessed with his contributions to right-wing media
01:40:27.420 as his biggest sin.
01:40:28.960 Like, they couldn't get past that.
01:40:30.680 But you would just think, when writing on somebody in the business, maybe there'd just
01:40:34.040 be, like, something in the back of your brain that says, like, would I want this done to
01:40:37.760 me?
01:40:38.540 And the truth is, as we've learned so many times, and as every media segment we did today
01:40:43.140 proves, we just have to forge on without them.
01:40:47.140 They're dishonest.
01:40:48.540 They cannot be counted on to do the right thing.
01:40:50.340 They do not follow the same ethical compass we do.
01:40:53.220 It's one thing, though, to go after somebody like Roger Ailes, who was a political media
01:40:57.680 figure, and, you know, maybe taint his headline with your views.
01:41:04.040 This thing that happened with this woman was a text message.
01:41:07.280 It was a little tiny moment in her business day.
01:41:10.600 It had nothing to do with her life.
01:41:12.600 We haven't learned a damn thing about her life, in fact.
01:41:15.260 All we've learned that there's one day a text message misinterpretation led to the biggest
01:41:22.300 disaster of all time for which she's remembered after she dies.
01:41:26.240 What kind of society is that?
01:41:28.120 That's an insane society that's using language as a weapon in war.
01:41:32.600 And the war can't go on any longer.
01:41:35.260 And we've got to put down the weapons.
01:41:36.920 And if they're used against us, we have to laugh.
01:41:39.120 We just have to start laughing at them.
01:41:41.460 The people who are using them are, they're worse than the people that they're accusing.
01:41:47.480 Way worse.
01:41:49.000 They're immoral.
01:41:50.400 This is so wrong.
01:41:51.460 Our condolences to her husband, Derek DiCarlo, on the loss of his wife.
01:41:55.920 And her family, because she sounded like a good journalist.
01:41:58.760 Valerie Hoff DiCarlo gone too soon at age 62.
01:42:01.700 Walter, thank you, as always.
01:42:02.960 Great to see you.
01:42:04.300 Yeah, thank you.
01:42:05.500 We're back tomorrow with Stu Bergeer and Zachary Levi.
01:42:07.680 Thanks for listening to The Megyn Kelly Show.
01:42:11.780 No BS, no agenda, and no fear.
