00:00:00.000 Hey, guys, Megyn Kelly here. Like millions of you, I love true crime content. So this summer,
00:00:07.220 we created the show I always wanted to listen to. We're calling it MK Confidential. One case
00:00:13.120 per week, five episodes, Monday through Friday. New episodes every weeknight. JonBenet Ramsey,
00:00:20.300 Shaundra Levy, the DC Snipers, Scott Peterson, and some you've likely never heard of before.
00:00:26.120 Search for The Megyn Kelly Show wherever you listen to podcasts, you'll find it there.
00:00:30.900 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM channel 111 every weekday at New East.
00:00:42.580 Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show and happy Monday.
00:00:47.000 Lots of news to get to today, including what in the world happened at the MTV Video Music Awards last night.
00:00:52.540 literally nobody cares about the MTV Video Music Awards. I realize this, but it made its way into
00:00:57.800 my feed and therefore we must discuss Madonna's very strange ass, which had lasers shooting out 0.99
00:01:05.500 of it, as well as her lips and what she's doing. I'm just going to tell you upfront, I have bigger 1.00
00:01:13.120 goals for myself when eventually in many years I hit age 68. I desperately hope that I have more
00:01:22.520 self-confidence and am less needy of other people's approval. I've kind of felt like I got
00:01:29.220 there when I hit my 50s. I'm not sure what's happening there when she's almost in her 70s,
00:01:33.760 but I have secondhand embarrassment. Also over the weekend, a touching moment. This is the moment
00:01:38.640 of the week as a baseball legend wraps up a Hall of Fame career. You know, I know nothing about
00:01:44.220 sports and I certainly don't know anything about baseball and I didn't know who this guy was,
00:01:47.360 But I do know he's married to Kate Upton, found that out last night.
00:01:51.100 The, you know, moral, she was from the Carl's Jr. ad and she was, you know, this stunning
00:01:57.240 model.
00:01:59.140 And then you kind of didn't hear from her anymore. 0.77
00:02:01.640 And I think it's because she married a major league baseball player who's probably raking
00:02:05.360 in the bucks.
00:02:06.280 She became a mom of two.
00:02:08.220 And I don't care about any of that.
00:02:10.360 What I care about is that sweet moment that happened from the pitcher's mound over the
00:02:14.280 weekend, which I don't care how cold-hearted you may be, like a cynical newswoman is yours truly,
00:02:20.500 it's going to make you feel something. Now, I'm a new fan of this guy Verlander just as he leaves
00:02:26.220 MLB. But first, our pal Mark Halpern is here, and he is in the news himself. What did he do?
00:02:33.580 He offered some hard truths for Republicans in advance of the midterms. And let's be honest,
00:02:40.640 it was about time someone did it. I mean, I've been hearing nothing, nothing but naysaying 0.99
00:02:46.660 from all the Republicans I know. And trust me, I know a lot of them. But the co-campaign
00:02:51.740 chairman of Trump's prior campaign, Chris Lasavita, posted on X that Halpern is, quote, 1.00
00:02:57.520 full of shit. He did not like the reports where we don't expect Team Trump to like them. 0.99
00:03:04.780 The question is, did Mark report truthfully?
00:03:07.900 Well, Mark always does.
00:03:09.720 He is not somebody known for having TDS at all.
00:03:13.180 He's done many, many reports that are very, very optimistic for Republicans,
00:03:17.580 but not right now because that's not what he's hearing from his well-placed Republican sources.
00:03:24.540 First, he dropped a report in the Daily Mail that Republicans' private polling
00:03:28.300 is showing the midterms are starting to look like President Trump's, quote,
00:03:32.440 worst nightmare imaginable.
00:03:34.160 Well, that piece went completely viral. Halpern later posted on X that 17 additional Republican strategists later confirmed to him that his reporting is accurate and that they were seeing the same thing.
00:03:46.100 Well, Mark has continued his reporting and he is here to share what exactly he's seeing.
00:03:51.880 All right. We are 36 days out and might as well know the truth because it's coming.
00:03:56.480 It's coming for us like freight train just over a month away.
00:03:59.640 Mark is the host of Next Up with Mark Halperin right here on the MK Media Podcast Network.
00:04:04.020 Go and subscribe now on YouTube and all podcast platforms.
00:04:08.780 We are just over a month out, but the midterms are fast approaching.
00:04:13.220 And make no mistake, if the House flips, it's a big deal for our economy.
00:04:17.260 What if the House and the Senate flip?
00:04:19.420 This uncertainty is one of the reasons to consider diversifying with gold from Birch Gold Group.
00:04:24.620 In the three months leading up to the 2024 presidential election, the price of gold jumped
00:04:29.640 over 12%. Why? It's a hedge against uncertainty. If you do not own gold, consider talking with
00:04:36.900 Birch Gold. They will discuss your goals and explain how precious metals can fit into your
00:04:41.240 savings. They can even help you convert an existing IRA or 401k into an IRA in gold for
00:04:47.080 no additional money out of pocket. Text the letters MK to the number 989898 and get a free
00:04:52.220 info kit and some solid info. The midterms are going to be here before you know it. Text MK to
00:04:58.700 989898. Mark, welcome back. So did you expect to unleash such a torrent of upset with your first
00:05:08.020 column? I really didn't, because as you said, anyone who's got any sources in Republican
00:05:12.780 politics knows that this is the state of play right now. It's not a prediction. It's not a
00:05:18.380 guess. It's not based on looking at public polls, which are mostly junk. People are right to be 0.98
00:05:23.080 suspicious of them. Ask almost any Republican strategist. Chris LaCivita maybe is an exception.
00:05:29.080 And they'll tell you right now things are very grim. There are races that they weren't 0.93
00:05:33.160 thinking would be in play that are now in play. And ever since I wrote it and ever since Chris
00:05:39.580 posted what he posted, I've said, if you're a Republican strategist and you agree with Chris
00:05:44.320 La Vida and you disagree with my reporting and you're working on any races, contact me. I'm up
00:05:49.700 to 45 now. And all 45 have said one of two things. Either my reporting is spot on, Republicans are
00:05:56.100 facing a tough situation, or about half of those 45 have said, you've actually understated the
00:06:01.660 case. The problem's bigger than your sources so far have described it. I'm not Christmas. All
00:06:07.740 right. Give it to us straight. Give it to us straight. How bad is it? Well, look, there's
00:06:11.780 still republicans have a money advantage they have an operational advantage with james blair
00:06:16.480 the president's political lieutenant the president could could start driving messages that are
00:06:20.960 helpful as opposed to unhelpful messages like i love data centers and i love ai if that happens
00:06:26.920 maybe things will change but right now i'd say democrats would pick up at least 25 house seats
00:06:31.600 net and at least six senate seats net today based on talking to campaigns could be bigger 0.98
00:06:38.700 Oh, I mean, that that will get you called full of shit every time by Chris Lasavilla, because those are awful numbers. 0.92
00:06:48.740 And now you're talking about that's more than a blue wave. That's it. We're tidal wave. 0.99
00:06:53.540 We're looking at the New Jersey coastline after this three day nor'easter kind of situation.
00:06:58.880 Yeah. And now, again, there are a lot of races that are close. The good news for Republicans, besides their money advantage, is these Democratic Party brand is crap. Democrats have a lot of inexperienced candidates. They've not played at this level. Republicans have a plan to define them. And the negative ads are just coming out.
00:07:19.200 But when you're talking about South Carolina and Mississippi as potentially in Kansas as being in play, you know, there's a problem.
00:07:27.440 And again, for people who want to say, well, he's just going on the fake polls.
00:07:31.560 I almost never read the public polls because I agree with most of the public that they're mostly not that valuable.
00:07:37.580 But I'm talking to Republican campaigns, to consultants and candidates involved in contested races.
00:07:42.960 And they say the worry is any close race, they'll lose because they've lost a lot of support from independents.
00:07:50.220 And you need to inspire your base, but you need independents.
00:07:53.500 And right now, independents are just in a mood to send a message to the Republican Party in most places, not every place, that they want to change.
00:08:01.020 They want the war to end.
00:08:02.040 They want gas prices to be lower.
00:08:03.480 They want some consideration given to checking AI and data centers.
00:08:09.200 Yeah, I'm an independent.
00:08:10.840 I can relate to those things.
00:08:11.880 I wouldn't be voting Democrat, but I'm feeling what everyone's feeling, which is like, what happened?
00:08:18.720 How do we get bogged down in an Iranian war that no one supports?
00:08:23.000 Why is the White House trying so hard to turn A.I. into a red versus blue issue rather than actually considering whether people have legitimate fears and concerns around it?
00:08:33.160 You know, like every other week, there's a story about how much money the Trump family is making, but the American people are suffering mightily as a result of this economy and inflation and in particular high gas prices.
00:08:47.020 And God forbid you come anywhere near needing diesel gasoline, which almost everyone does.
00:08:54.480 I mean, if you drive a truck, you need diesel gasoline.
00:08:56.780 If you operate heavy machinery, you need diesel gasoline.
00:09:00.120 If you fly in a plane, you're you're paying for it.
00:09:02.760 It's like, it's everywhere, as Doug Brunt, author of The Mysterious Case of Rudolf Diesel,
00:09:07.980 and now the follow-up, which is The Lost Empire of Emmanuel Nobel, pointed out to us.
00:09:12.480 But Diesel's everywhere.
00:09:13.280 Everybody's feeling the punch.
00:09:14.640 We're at almost $6.50 now per gallon.
00:09:18.000 So people are sick of it.
00:09:20.300 Like, they just want their own lives to be improved.
00:09:23.120 You know, if there is a big blue wave, I think we'll look back and we'll say, duh.
00:09:28.320 Like, he said he wouldn't get us into a forever war.
00:09:31.240 We're stuck in a war.
00:09:32.760 He said he would lower prices, prices of a lot of stuff, including energies he sets up.
00:09:36.960 And then two other things, one you referenced and one I'll add, the corruption stuff and the
00:09:41.440 profiteering. It may be all legal. The Trump family can say, oh, look at what Hunter Biden did.
00:09:47.520 But I hear it from Republicans all the time, all the time, people who voted for Donald Trump three
00:09:52.480 times. You just say, it's just too much. While American families are struggling, it's just too
00:09:57.180 much. And then lastly is health care. It's not like Democrats have super ideas on health care
00:10:02.480 that are foolproof but the failure to address the costs of health care all the normal things
00:10:06.880 higher premiums higher co-pays higher deductibles it's just it's a big problem and republicans
00:10:13.460 passed a law that restricted some people's access to health care and that has a lot of people
00:10:19.140 including in red states just saying again at a time when people are struggling help them with
00:10:23.760 health care don't hurt them even though they're running against a weak democratic party i want to
00:10:28.360 reverse. Let's take, let's put it in reverse and go back about four minutes to where you mentioned
00:10:33.700 two words, two states that stood out. I believe I heard you say South Carolina and Mississippi.
00:10:39.920 I stopped breathing for a moment after I heard Mississippi, but could you elaborate on why you
00:10:45.600 are mentioning those as possible problem areas for Republicans? Well, I've been talking about
00:10:51.260 South Carolina for a while. It's not quite a perfect storm, but you've got a really weak
00:10:55.440 candidate in senator graham lindsey graham's sister took the seat darlene darlene she's she's
00:11:00.640 she's not raising money campaigning or debating or advertising on television i'm exaggerating a
00:11:06.400 little bit but i mean she's just not very visible and the woman she's running against the doctor
00:11:10.220 who i had on next up annie andrews she's she's a strong candidate i mean she's again she might be 0.86
00:11:16.080 she's more liberal than the state would normally vote for but she's run a very shrewd campaign 0.96
00:11:20.160 When I had her on NextUp, one of the nexters emailed me and said, you must have given her 1.00
00:11:25.860 the questions in advance because her answers were all so good. 1.00
00:11:29.080 I said, no, she's just a smart, smart candidate.
00:11:31.900 And there have been now three straight polls that have shown the race virtually tied.
00:11:35.400 And again, I don't listen to the public polls, but that's part of the mood music that have
00:11:39.780 caused Democrats to be more optimistic.
00:11:41.440 And she's raising a lot of money.
00:11:43.340 Don't know how much, but a lot. 0.98
00:11:44.980 And then in Mississippi, the Democrats have a decent candidate.
00:11:47.780 and there's a story in the Wall Street Journal today about how big donors are thinking of going
00:11:51.600 in there. They may not win those two races. But again, just like with Kansas, the fact that these
00:11:56.780 places are close. Kansas is another one. And Florida. We have to talk about Kansas and Florida.
00:12:01.320 The fact that these places are close says something. Kansas, I really don't think the
00:12:04.900 Republican incumbent, Roger Marshall, is the leader at this point. I think he's going to have
00:12:09.880 to fight back. And, you know, when J.D. Vance spends a day in Kansas, you know, they're concerned
00:12:15.480 about it there's no hiding the president the vice president their schedules tell the tale
00:12:19.940 the president's going to uh going to um alabama the president's alabama president's going to
00:12:26.520 oklahoma you know that tells you why are you saying words like alabama and mississippi and 0.99
00:12:31.660 oklahoma stop saying those words this is it'd be like if barack obama was five alarm fire shit 0.99
00:12:36.400 like if barack obama in the last month was going to vermont right you just say well if he's going 0.99
00:12:41.000 to vermont obviously there's a huge problem for democrats and and and that's what's happening now
00:12:45.200 It doesn't mean they're going to lose them all. They're doing what they think they need to do to try to save some of these seats. But I wouldn't be surprised, again, if they lost well more than the number of Senate seats that people have talked about. They could also, you know, hold them all because, again, this is probably the best news for Republicans, Megan.
00:13:02.940 There's almost no race that's contested.
00:13:05.680 Let's say there's now 40 contested House races and a dozen contested Senate races.
00:13:09.700 There's almost no race where Republicans are behind by more than five.
00:13:12.920 They're all they're all within the margin of error.
00:13:15.420 So if they execute on negative ads, if they execute on turn out the vote, if they execute
00:13:19.940 on presidential visits, you know, and vice presidential visits, they can save a lot of
00:13:25.340 these seats still.
00:13:27.500 Does Trump have money and is he spending it on these races?
00:13:30.980 Yes, and maybe.
00:13:32.420 he transferred some of it to other entities, which everyone assumed he meant he was going
00:13:37.480 to spend it. But now there's back to being this suspicion that perhaps he's not going to spend it
00:13:42.480 because he doesn't want to spend money on people who go who distance themselves from him. And he
00:13:47.360 doesn't want to spend money on races where he feels they can't win. So that seems to be up in
00:13:53.020 the air now, as is, you know, the money that Elon Musk said he was going to spend and some of these
00:13:58.080 other very wealthy supporters of the Republican Party. So they'll have a big money advantage,
00:14:03.000 but I think it's going to be smaller than it would be if they had some momentum. And that's
00:14:07.560 part of the reason they don't like my reporting. I'm amazed I'm the only one who's been saying it
00:14:11.660 so vocally, because everyone I know hears the same thing, but they don't. I've been hearing
00:14:18.100 the same for months now, for months. And I mean, then you've got open revolt in sections of the
00:14:24.740 Party, thanks to Iran. And that hasn't gone anywhere. The president kept saying it was going 0.98
00:14:31.320 to it was going to wrap up and it was going to wrap up. And yeah, no. So it's not just that
00:14:35.680 people don't like being in what feels like a quagmire or, you know, did not wrap up easily
00:14:41.740 and was a war of choice. And even the president has said himself, I don't we don't have to worry
00:14:47.680 about nuclear. We took care of nuclear in the previous June. So it's like we know that's why
00:14:53.140 many of us thought this was a mistake, what we started on February 28th. We had already done it
00:14:58.780 the previous June. Why did we even risk this? But in any event, so people have their objections to
00:15:04.860 the war. But on top of that, it's the gas prices because that really, I mean, it's incredible how
00:15:12.400 much gas costs now. When you watch that thing just keep going, sitting at the pump. And I feel for
00:15:17.680 people like I can afford it, but my mom can't afford it without my help. And a lot of people
00:15:22.560 I know cannot afford these gas prices without help. And by the way, that's to say nothing of
00:15:26.740 what's happening in the housing market at the grocery store. And as you point out,
00:15:31.000 when it comes to their health care, these are the things that actually do
00:15:33.640 drain away somebody's bank account really fast. And all four things you listed are not optional.
00:15:40.840 You need food, you need gas, you need housing, right? And health care, you know, these are all
00:15:49.820 things that are essential. And the president is not out there every day explaining what he's done
00:15:58.480 and what he will do. Instead, people see him talking about the ballroom, the Kennedy Center,
00:16:04.180 etc. Now, again, his aides say that's going to turn around. And today he's doing an event focused
00:16:09.820 on jobs in Iowa, building a steel mill in Iowa. That's the kind of thing that people in the
00:16:18.280 republican party would like to see the president do here in the last 30 days but there's a reason
00:16:21.980 he's in iowa yeah it's a i was i was one of the most critically endangered states uh the governor's
00:16:29.380 race the senate race two house races um and and i'll tell you a thing didn't get as much attention
00:16:34.720 but state house races right state legislative races in a blue wave you're going to see it
00:16:40.500 so many of the gains that republicans have made undone and so they're trying to staunch that in
00:16:45.860 a place like Iowa, where there's obviously a lot of legislative dangers as well in the
00:16:50.380 state level.
00:16:52.020 Your piece for the Daily Mail that caused all the kerfuffle has the following line,
00:16:57.180 I have an investment banker friend who once offered this sage advice, sometimes the appropriate
00:17:01.780 response in a crisis is, in fact, to panic.
00:17:06.260 And then you point out that while the Trump White House is maintaining a stiff upper lip,
00:17:10.820 The code of political omerta was broken by veteran Iowa talk show host Steve Dace, who said yesterday, Iowa House Republicans were informed by their own pollsters that if you are in a plus 15 district, you're within the margin for error.
00:17:26.760 If you are in a plus 10 district, you're underwater and that this might end being an even worse midterm environment than 2006.
00:17:38.800 That's Iowa.
00:17:40.340 This, as the the Cook political report you point out, has shifted its outlook for Senate races in multiple races, including in Kansas, where Democrats have not won a Senate seat since 1932.
00:17:55.400 And yet, Cook is shifting the outlook there to more beneficial. It was likely Republican. Now it's only lean Republican. That doesn't mean it's going to be a Dem pickup, but it's shocking to see it move to the left, raising hopes on Team Blue for the first time in 700, almost 100 years.
00:18:18.780 not to mention what we just discussed in Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and so on.
00:18:24.860 Now, let me ask you this.
00:18:28.160 As I see it, the only silver lining here, well, there's two.
00:18:33.060 One is it's better to know.
00:18:35.200 Like, God forbid you have cancer.
00:18:37.260 It's better to know.
00:18:38.780 You can do something about it.
00:18:40.200 You know, like you have it either way.
00:18:43.020 You know, one, you stay oblivious until you die, which will be soon.
00:18:46.260 And one, you get very bad news, you get very stressed out, but then ideally you do something about it and you live.
00:18:52.880 So that's one.
00:18:54.400 The second silver lining is if the Republicans lose the House and or the Senate, let's say they lose both.
00:19:04.900 It improves their chances of holding on to the White House two years later.
00:19:08.980 because never underestimate really either side, but definitely the Democrats ability to alienate
00:19:18.220 the voters of America. Once they take power, they'll remind us every day who they are.
00:19:24.140 It'll be investorama into the Trump White House, the Trump family. You know, it'll be Trump
00:19:30.740 battling the media every day, which will tell lots of lies and overstate the case. Right. And
00:19:37.700 Republicans and right-leaning independents will be reminded of why we, maybe it's a pox on both
00:19:44.320 their houses, but we really can't stand that side. You know what I mean? So I don't think
00:19:48.880 it's all bad news for Republicans if they lose one or both houses of Congress. I do think it
00:19:54.400 improves J.D. Vance's, Marco Rubio's, whomever's chances of winning the presidency. What do you
00:19:59.420 think? I agree with you. And I would say that people around Vance and Rubio would agree with
00:20:02.680 as well um uh on the other hand there's a chance that the democrats could use that power the way
00:20:09.200 the democrats did in 1990 to lay the groundwork for bill clinton to win but that requires a lot
00:20:14.780 of skill and this democratic team doesn't appear to have all that much skill uh they're not they're
00:20:21.460 not winning to this uh they're not poised to do well in the midterms which historically of course
00:20:27.360 they should what did the democrats do in 1990 to lay the foundation for bill clinton they use the
00:20:31.900 power to control Congress to create uncomfortable votes for Republicans and to contrast
00:20:37.740 the President Bush's positions with public opinion. They basically just used it as like a
00:20:44.120 soundstage to do press conferences and use the legislative process to put him in a tough position.
00:20:50.080 It took a lot of skill. George Mitchell, who was the Senate leader, Democratic leader, was
00:20:54.480 super skillful at doing that. And that was their goal. It wasn't to compromise. It wasn't to get
00:20:59.540 things done for the american people the goal is to lay the groundwork to win i don't think this
00:21:04.040 team has it you know one of the best illustrations of the fact that the democrats are just stumbling
00:21:08.900 into this election the republicans are hurting themselves with gas prices in the war rather than
00:21:14.740 democrats do anything is do you see chuck schumer and hakeem jeffries barnstorming around the
00:21:19.140 country do you see them having press conferences with their candidates talking about a shared
00:21:23.080 agenda there's none of that why why aren't they because they're they have a socialist wing and
00:21:28.680 they don't have any ideas that would lower prices that they think they can sell to the country.
00:21:32.920 So they're just keeping their heads down.
00:21:36.140 All right.
00:21:36.680 Now we've got President Trump, who he's been doing a bunch of things lately.
00:21:40.820 I think he picked this fight with the media, which I have studiously avoided because I hate this.
00:21:45.720 It's like covering, you know, will they shut down the government or will they pass a budget?
00:21:51.320 No, I'm out.
00:21:52.080 I'm out. 1.00
00:21:52.760 I'm sick of this shit. 1.00
00:21:54.060 I agree with you. 1.00
00:21:54.940 very hard for me at this point in my career to get worked up right for either side i just can't
00:22:01.060 but okay he picked this fight with cnn ms now and politico to keep them out of the white house
00:22:07.260 i think because he knows fighting with the media is good for him with his base they like it but
00:22:13.860 this one really didn't go that way it didn't really seem to rally a bunch of republicans like
00:22:20.940 Fox News didn't side with him. And some of the Trump faithful got mad at Fox News over that.
00:22:27.880 I wasn't surprised one bit because when Obama refused to allow Fox to be pool one day during
00:22:34.440 his term, all the other networks stood up for Fox and said, if they can't be in the pool, we're not
00:22:39.540 we're not going to be covering the president. And so I knew what Fox would do. There was no way they
00:22:43.960 were going to turn their back on these news organizations, which even though they loathed
00:22:47.800 Fox did stand behind it when this was done to them. But in any event, it didn't seem to really
00:22:53.520 excite right-wing podcasters. And by the way, there was just a report showing that
00:22:58.840 right-wing podcasters are mentioning Trump at record lows right now, record lows,
00:23:05.600 which tells you that right-wing viewers have record low appetites for said news,
00:23:11.980 which is another worrisome sign for the Trump White House and for Republicans.
00:23:16.900 um but what did you make of the whole fight with the media it just seems like trump's normal go-to's
00:23:22.960 may not be working the way they have yeah everything he's just said i think he's really
00:23:28.420 right and and on point to where we are uh on the second point i'll come back to the fight
00:23:33.140 the fact that trump's name trump the topic of trump is not as as as interesting to maga audiences
00:23:40.480 as before is a horrible sign for him and um uh you know he's he's thrived on mojo uh for over a
00:23:49.820 decade now uh because he he has incredible mojo and he has great fingertip feel for what fights
00:23:54.120 to pick he fought with john mccain he fought with the pope in his first campaign and everybody said
00:23:58.800 you can't do that he's always fought with the press people say don't don't fight with the press
00:24:02.980 i think you're right that it hasn't really caught on and i think it hasn't caught on for
00:24:06.560 three reasons. One is because there has been solidarity, not just with Fox, but from other
00:24:11.540 conservative media. And that takes the edge off of it. Number two is the reality is it's hard to
00:24:18.980 explain why he kicked them out. They didn't do anything in this case, except he says, right,
00:24:23.820 negative stories. But there's no storyline that says, you know, they did this one outrageous
00:24:27.820 thing and therefore he punished them. And then lastly, you know, when people are paying $6.50
00:24:33.740 for diesel um it's like you know this is just like a sideshow it's like the kennedy center it's like
00:24:39.080 this other stuff where people might get excited about trump the fighter under normal circumstances
00:24:43.600 but these are not normal circumstances this is an opportunity for them to express their anger about
00:24:48.300 how much things cost and about a forever war and donald trump not liking caitlin collins is you
00:24:53.860 know is just a sideshow right it's like it's it's not exciting them the way it normally used to
00:25:01.060 it's not invigorating them i think they're just ignoring it like they they have bigger problems
00:25:05.740 that's how it feels like they're really hurting and they really wanted a solution and they
00:25:09.780 aren't getting it and they really want somebody to say okay no actually i'll fix it which by the
00:25:14.700 way no no one none of the democrats is saying that either the socialist democrats are they
00:25:21.540 they they have an idea it's a terrible one but at least at least they're articulating
00:25:27.680 a vision, unlike the other Democrats who are basically like, we're not Trump.
00:25:32.260 So I really feel for the people, you know, who are genuinely struggling right now, because
00:25:36.100 it doesn't seem like relief is coming from either party.
00:25:39.600 You know, like Trump, when they had that fake midterm convention thing, you know, he was
00:25:44.800 like, we'll do this and we'll do that and we'll do the other thing.
00:25:49.360 And it was like, if what?
00:25:51.220 And the answer is, if you keep us in power, it's like, wait a minute, you're in power
00:25:56.360 right now.
00:25:56.980 You're giving the speech of somebody who's out of power.
00:25:59.780 You control all three bodies, the House, the Senate, and the White House.
00:26:05.240 So what are you saying?
00:26:07.080 Because there's zero chance the Republicans add to their majority in the Senate to the point where they get a filibuster-proof majority.
00:26:13.700 The whole question is, for either party, frankly, can you govern with something less than that?
00:26:18.920 Because the other side is going to be obstreperous and stop things.
00:26:23.000 And what we're seeing, at least under this government, is not really.
00:26:27.720 Everything will be done by executive order.
00:26:29.700 And now he's promising what?
00:26:31.120 I guess more executive order.
00:26:32.100 Like, I don't get it.
00:26:33.020 Because the things he was like, keep us in power and we'll do all these things.
00:26:36.800 He's like, wait, but you've been in power now two years.
00:26:38.560 No, and voters get that, I think.
00:26:41.620 And that's a problem for any incumbent president during their second midterm.
00:26:46.380 He's got this new thing that I think is really one of the more outrageous things he's done,
00:26:50.060 which is using our tax dollars to run political ads the white house denies their political ads
00:26:54.740 but one of them is literally a political ad that he ran when he was running for re-election
00:26:58.640 which is a different ending let me show you that i think we is this number three
00:27:02.420 steve is that the one that's the one he ran before saw three here it is this is the final battle 0.99
00:27:07.620 with you at my side we will demolish the deep state we will expel the warmongers from our 0.98
00:27:13.720 government we will drive out the globalists we will cast out the communists marxists and fascists 1.00
00:27:19.700 We will throw off the sick political class that hates our country. 0.99
00:27:24.080 We will rout the fake news media and we will liberate America from these villains once and for all.
00:27:34.640 It reads paid for by the U.S. government, which means taxpayer paid for that, taxpayers, Democrats included.
00:27:41.920 and the claims, well, they may have been palatable
00:27:45.840 while he was campaigning.
00:27:49.040 Now he says, we're gonna demolish the deep state.
00:27:51.840 I don't think anybody thinks he did that
00:27:53.680 with the Epstein scandal, just as one example. 0.94
00:27:55.940 We will expel the warmongers from our government. 1.00
00:27:58.660 Oops. 1.00
00:27:59.660 That didn't happen. 0.87
00:28:01.180 They won the warmongers. 0.85
00:28:03.040 We will drive out the globalists away.
00:28:05.440 Maybe we've tried, I don't know.
00:28:06.500 I don't know, he came out with Elon.
00:28:09.760 And like, I don't know,
00:28:11.020 I just like literally the red carpet for Xi Jinping will cast out the communists, Marxists and fascists.
00:28:18.180 Pallowing around with.
00:28:18.740 I mean, he was just cozying up to Zoran Mamdani, which is like truly, as I think I was saying to you last week on your show, who wanted to see that?
00:28:28.340 Who on earth wanted to see Trump and Mamdani as BFFs?
00:28:33.380 No one.
00:28:33.920 Not the left, not the right, not me.
00:28:36.040 I didn't want to see it at all.
00:28:37.200 so it's just it's an odd message for right now um the rest of the rest of it's mostly okay but
00:28:44.020 but you highlighted the lines it just they cannot land with any any uh any uh you know clarity and
00:28:51.260 and again our tax dollars shouldn't be paying for that no absolutely not if joe biden did this
00:28:56.620 we would be ripping him a new one and trump shouldn't be doing it either nobody i know
00:29:01.920 thinks he should. Speaking of Mamdani, here's Trump with him. Shot seven. I certainly hope he 0.99
00:29:09.840 will be a great mayor. You have to understand I want what's good for New York. I want what's good
00:29:14.180 for the country. So if I had a choice of having him be a bad mayor or horrible mayor, I don't
00:29:20.460 want that. I want him to be a great mayor. And he certainly got potential, got great potential.
00:29:24.720 Thank you very much. Thank you very much, everybody.
00:29:28.060 It's a pleasure to be with you.
00:29:29.060 Okay, so Mark, I think the president is probably thinking, from a PR standpoint,
00:29:38.040 this could help him because he can get along with anybody.
00:29:42.300 He can get along with the other side.
00:29:44.280 He is not some extremist, and he's telegraphing, look at me.
00:29:49.520 Like, here's a Democrat, you know, a communist, and I can get along with him.
00:29:53.660 The problem is that everybody in New York State and beyond in the Republican Party is using Momdani as their poster boy for the evils of the DSA and what is likely to come our way if we go DSA in the midterms.
00:30:10.880 So it's not great to have the arm around him like patting him. This is my buddy and we're going to be friends because we truly pick up the New York Post on any day of the week and he's on the cover being attacked and for good reason.
00:30:25.820 Yeah, I thought when you and I talked about it last week, I thought you explained it well, like Trump's just attracted to New York things and he's attracted to, you know, other people who are good and popular because he is popular in New York.
00:30:39.440 I think another factor, somebody mentioned to me yesterday.
00:30:43.080 And he likes Trump.
00:30:44.060 Yeah.
00:30:44.320 That's the other thing. 0.99
00:30:44.920 He kisses Trump's butt a bit. 0.99
00:30:46.100 He does, but he also, he's also not afraid of Trump. 0.99
00:30:49.480 And a lot of powerful people are surrounded all day by people who are afraid of them.
00:30:53.600 And sometimes they find it refreshing when someone's not afraid of them.
00:30:57.420 And I think that may be part of it too.
00:31:00.000 Mm-hmm.
00:31:00.780 Boy, that's a tricky game with Trump.
00:31:02.380 You can go just so far and then back you go.
00:31:05.520 He wants you to be afraid, yeah.
00:31:08.200 Yeah.
00:31:08.560 Yeah. Like have your own game. He likes winners. So if you are strong, you know, like take an Elon, but don't kiss ass. You can you can make it in Trump's world. But if you get openly antagonistic, forget about it. You know, I mean, honestly, I can relate to this because I think Trump and I have always, for the most part, gotten along. We've had our downs, as everybody knows. But, you know, then I started criticizing him over the Iran war and he attacked me and, you know, things haven't been the same since. And that's fine. That's the risk you run if you're going to be an honest political commentator.
00:31:36.140 But I will say, in general, he's fair.
00:31:39.280 If he thinks you're successful, he likes you.
00:31:42.240 And if he thinks you don't have Trump derangement syndrome, he will give you another chance.
00:31:46.800 So I think he doesn't think Mamdani has TDS.
00:31:50.300 Here's the other thing.
00:31:51.700 The Iran war.
00:31:53.460 He keeps talking about it, like when he went to the UN.
00:31:57.540 And he keeps making the same threats over and over and over.
00:32:00.940 Here's the latest example of last Tuesday at the United Nations, Sot 6.
00:32:04.320 But I have a big decision to make. Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create 1.00
00:32:14.600 a far greater country than it ever was before? Maybe one of the greatest in the Middle East or 0.95
00:32:21.340 even the world? Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly, never giving them 1.00
00:32:29.260 a chance to kill and destroy people and countries again okay so here's my take on that you tell me 1.00
00:32:37.860 what you think we've gone from him saying that and people being either like yeah do it or being 0.96
00:32:44.160 horrified at their casual rhetoric about annihilating a people to him saying that and
00:32:50.400 everybody being like let's just talk he like he's not doing it so like the more neocon people have
00:32:56.420 been frustrated that he doesn't live up to it. Just fucking do it. That's what they want. 0.99
00:33:00.360 And then people like me who wish he wouldn't talk quite so casually have been like, he doesn't mean
00:33:06.540 it. You know, this is Trump. You know, he's making empty threats toward a crazy regime that just is
00:33:12.900 never going to give him what he wants to now where it's like it doesn't it barely even makes news.
00:33:18.880 It's like crossed over to, I think, completely meaningless and almost a little sad because he
00:33:25.380 just keeps saying it, even though no one's really paying. Even the Iranians, I don't think,
00:33:30.640 feel threatened by that now. I couldn't agree more. And all the time, like just now, Axios
00:33:35.800 is reporting that a senior administration official say Trump will make a deal and give Iran sanctions
00:33:41.100 relief and open the strait for progress on nuclear. And I'll get 20 calls about this. Well,
00:33:47.960 what does it mean? It means nothing. I never thought the words of a president in the context
00:33:53.900 of a global conflict that affects every corner of the world where nuclear weapons are at issue.
00:34:00.500 I never thought the words of a president could be so meaningless, but they truly are. They truly
00:34:05.440 are. He can announce anything from annihilation to they're begging for a deal and we might make
00:34:10.720 a deal or anything in between. It really doesn't mean anything. And it's embarrassing, I think,
00:34:17.420 for the presidency. And I think what they must think in Tehran. I mean, you could do
00:34:21.520 a great comedy about what they must think watching this, because it's just, it's so
00:34:27.080 undisciplined. It's so unfocused. It's so meaningless. So I hope there's a way to end
00:34:31.700 this. And, and, uh, uh, and I think, uh, I think it's true that all options are on the table,
00:34:36.920 but this, this just series of statements, you know, the war's over, the war's not over.
00:34:42.460 We're going to annihilate them. We're going to make a deal with them. I, I, I find it so 0.93
00:34:46.620 diminishes the power of the office and the meaning of the words of a president.
00:34:51.520 I think you should just stop talking about it.
00:34:53.880 Like we know he's negotiating.
00:34:55.500 When they were here last week,
00:34:56.840 there was a backroom negotiation.
00:34:59.020 That's good.
00:34:59.800 We actually are getting more than 10 million barrels a day
00:35:03.060 through the Strait of Hormuz.
00:35:04.220 It has to be done under the dark of night and so on.
00:35:06.300 But that's progress.
00:35:08.080 That's one of the reasons why it's not worse at the pump,
00:35:10.640 especially when it comes to regular gasoline.
00:35:14.000 So like, just stop talking about it
00:35:15.920 because I just don't think people believe him anymore
00:35:18.840 and it's undermining to him personally,
00:35:20.840 to the presidency to probably to the negotiations to just just there's no reason and like people
00:35:26.720 are associating it with their gas prices so like it's just it's there's no upside there's no upside
00:35:32.500 to talking about the war let other let other people let secretary rubio talk about it let
00:35:38.540 scott bassin talk about it but just just do other stuff because there's just it literally is is only
00:35:45.580 negative as best anybody I know can tell. And the stakes are so high. It's not talking about
00:35:51.720 the ballroom. It's talking about trying to end a conflict, which has huge implications for
00:35:56.740 American security and economics. It's a mess. It's like between Ukraine, which Vladimir Putin
00:36:02.920 has been a stubborn mofo and so has Zelensky. Trump genuinely thought he could go in there 0.99
00:36:08.920 and settle the thing in 10 days, I think he said. Of course, that turned out not to be true because
00:36:13.380 they're just so dug in on their, well, we know why. And then Israel, you know, Iran, same. So 0.72
00:36:20.040 it's just, all of this is, I think what's driving down the numbers that like on a gut level of
00:36:25.820 somebody who remains a Trump supporter, like I really do want Trump to succeed. I feel grateful
00:36:31.300 that the pieces of the agenda that I was very vocal in supporting and the reasons I stood up
00:36:35.980 there and endorsed him, he really has delivered on and continues to deliver on, namely closing the 0.93
00:36:42.200 border and attacking the trans mania, especially when it comes to our children. I mean, just last 1.00
00:36:48.140 week, there was yet another news item about six more hospitals agreeing to stop performing these
00:36:54.480 barbaric surgeries on children under threat by Trump that he would find a way to close them if
00:36:59.640 they didn't. So God bless him for that. But like so much of the agenda has been muddied by these
00:37:04.980 other things that are contrary in the minds of many of us, not everybody, to what he promised
00:37:10.140 to do, that it's people don't feel enthusiastic anymore. So I don't know, Mark, what would you
00:37:15.660 tell him if he calls up Mark Halpern after he gets mad at you for your columns and says, Mark,
00:37:19.720 you're one of the most astute political observers in America today. What should I do between now
00:37:25.600 and 35 days from now to help my party? How would you answer? I would say I don't give advice to
00:37:30.740 politicians, Mr. President. Thank you. Thank you for calling. Why can't I have an interview?
00:37:35.040 What have you said? You can say it on the MK show and I'll tune in.
00:37:38.640 Look, I think the thing you said, stop talking about Iran. Stop talking about Ukraine unless you got something to say that's meaningful. Stop diminishing your words. And then, you know, I'll tell you what most Republicans I talk to say. They say, do stuff like he's doing today. Announce a big new deal for a multibillion dollar investment in a state like Iowa involving steel. Like that's that's what they want to see him doing.
00:38:03.840 They want to see you want to see him talking about stuff that means something to the real lives of real people, not the ballroom, not Don Jr.'s wedding, not whether Iran's going to be annihilated or not.
00:38:14.740 That's what every Republican I talk to say the same thing.
00:38:17.460 Use your ability to persuade people by talking about things that they'll say, well, that's going to make my life better.
00:38:22.660 Yeah. He told, when did he say, who did he tell this to when he said he's not going to be campaigning that hard for the midterms because he said he's kind of tired of politics and he worked hard enough just to get himself elected, which, frankly, I mean, honestly, yeah, he's not wrong.
00:38:42.360 But I don't know how much he's going to be doing between now and the midterms.
00:38:46.580 But I do think he's got skin in the game, even though Trump, you know, I don't think he really identifies with the Republican Party.
00:38:53.000 Right. I think he he's Trump and like he created MAGA, which isn't exactly synonymous with the Republican Party.
00:39:00.700 But I think hopefully he's been made to see that his fortunes will be hurt if the Republicans lose his personal political fortunes.
00:39:09.180 that is, over the next two years, if Republicans lose both houses. He says, I'll be a blocker,
00:39:14.040 but that's not exciting. The American people need help.
00:39:17.540 He's such a student of history, which people don't often credit. He knows the history. There
00:39:22.680 were two extraordinary circumstances, the Clinton impeachment and 9-11, that allowed a president
00:39:27.980 to not lose seats in the midterms. But he knows those are the exceptions in the modern era. So
00:39:32.840 he kind of often will feel a slave to history or a prisoner of history. There's nearly nothing he
00:39:38.380 can do at the same time people say he doesn't care about the midterms he doesn't like to lose
00:39:42.620 you know he just he just he just all but i don't think he thinks that's him well i i genuinely
00:39:47.800 believe trump sees a big delta between the party and i agree that that's his general attitude but
00:39:53.120 i also believe that he knows that he will be tagged he knows again he knows what happened
00:39:58.100 when barack obama you know talked about a shellacking he knows what happened uh you know
00:40:02.880 with the Republican Revolution and Newt Gingrich.
00:40:05.920 Like, he is aware that even though he might be detached emotionally
00:40:10.560 and intellectually from it, he's aware that he will be blamed for it.
00:40:14.060 And he'll be particularly blamed because whether there's exit polls or not,
00:40:19.400 if there's a shellacking, no one's going to doubt the reasons for it.
00:40:24.020 No one's going to doubt the reasons for it.
00:40:25.860 As weak as the Democratic Party is, it's because of the war and gas prices
00:40:30.020 and ethics and health care.
00:40:33.380 And those are all going to be laid at his feet. 0.97
00:40:35.380 And he's not stupid. 0.98
00:40:36.560 He knows that. 0.52
00:40:37.280 So I agree with you 100% how detached he is from like the heart.
00:40:41.720 Like he's not a party man.
00:40:42.880 He didn't care about the Republican Party per se.
00:40:45.300 But he doesn't want the next two years and the next few months after the election to 0.99
00:40:50.940 be in the context of Trump's a loser. 0.92
00:40:53.020 He just he doesn't want that. 0.98
00:40:55.100 You know what he should be out there touting?
00:40:57.040 He should be out there touting judges. That always gets Republicans to the polls.
00:41:02.980 Good point. And they've confirmed a ton of them.
00:41:05.980 Exactly. So if the Republicans lose control of the Senate, there goes the judges. There go the
00:41:12.000 judges because that's Republican appointed, but Senate confirmed. He should be hitting the things.
00:41:17.560 They used to always run on Roe versus Wade. They can't do that anymore. But judges is a real thing
00:41:22.520 and a major part of legacy. And he should be hitting that, reminding people it's not just
00:41:26.500 about this senator annoys me. But who are you going to get with a with a Mary Peltola? We talked 0.54
00:41:35.460 about her the other day. Oh, my God, this is so funny. So this is the one the woman who's got the
00:41:41.500 potty mouth and who allegedly was calling people retards and the F word for gays and was making her 0.97
00:41:48.600 staff feed her crickets i mean her chameleon named meatball live crickets and she's doing okay 0.98
00:41:57.960 she's actually doing all right what state is she in again why am i blanking on her state
00:42:01.560 alaska thank you well pod save america weighed in on the controversy this is a new york times
00:42:08.580 piece taking aim at her it's kind of interesting because she's a she's a democrat who's pulling
00:42:13.140 ahead is ahead in alaska again she's running against this guy dan sullivan who has the
00:42:18.600 disadvantage of being yes he's a republican but he's got another guy on the ballot named
00:42:22.600 dan sullivan thanks to dirty tricks by the dems but anyway here is pod save america's john lovett
00:42:28.840 who is gay responding to the controversy sorry do i think it's great if a boss uh calls an
00:42:36.140 employee a no but i think the senate's more important but now we're like no the stakes
00:42:40.800 are too high, and we've just been through too many rounds of this, and the fact that there are people
00:42:46.440 that would be working for a Democratic member of Congress who may have been rude and mean at the
00:42:51.420 darkest moment in her life, by the way, like after experiencing incredible tragedy, and then six
00:42:57.400 weeks before an election to leak that to the Times, like it's not a, it is a privilege to pretend you
00:43:03.660 don't have to think about the stakes. Everybody has to think about the stakes, and whether or not
00:43:07.160 Donald Trump can appoint right-wing anti-choice judges for two years, whether or not we have
00:43:13.060 genuine investigations in the Senate, like these are the stakes in the election. And there's not a
00:43:18.060 gay guy from Austin to underneath the docks in Provincetown who wouldn't be happily called a 1.00
00:43:24.260 guzzling to have a democratic Senate, just a, just a mincing, butt-munching ass pirate. 0.99
00:43:33.520 and if we have to get mary peltola honestly we could knight her go to find the gayest 1.00
00:43:40.340 fucking person you can find in this in the state of texas in the state of alaska 1.00
00:43:45.320 have her kneel and have a sword go to both sides and say you may call us wherever the 1.00
00:43:50.160 fuck you want mary peltola if you win this seat honestly that should be put on loop by the white 0.99
00:43:57.580 house to help every republican good use of the word they remind us who they are that he used the 1.00
00:44:03.620 c word and then guzzling after it casually in conversation and butt munching that's what that's
00:44:10.440 what his party reminds us is totally fine and passes for normal talk and then it's like i'm
00:44:18.680 fine trump can say whatever the hell he wants about the negotiations with iran and i'm back
00:44:23.220 That's how it goes.
00:44:24.480 I've always liked the word guzzling, like guzzling a beer, guzzling some lemonade.
00:44:28.260 But I am not going to be using the word guzzling anytime soon.
00:44:31.880 No, no, I mean, I don't consider myself a prude, but that was a lot to take it.
00:44:36.880 That guy is a comedian.
00:44:38.400 I mean, he's a political commentator, but he's also a comedian.
00:44:40.600 So I think he partly meant it to be a little bit of an overstatement and a joke.
00:44:44.580 But but that is the attitude of the Democrats.
00:44:47.180 You know, think of any of them stuck with Graham Plattner until it became just absolutely untenable.
00:44:53.220 Um, you know, Nazi tattoo guzzling doesn't matter anything to win. And that that's that's an 0.64
00:45:00.140 empowering thing for a party which has these big divides. You know, the woke wing of the party
00:45:04.620 is is going to swallow a lot here with some of these candidates in order to say swallow. I know
00:45:10.500 I did it on purpose. It was innocent. You can bleep it out on a different version.
00:45:15.400 And what did we hear him say? I mean, I hadn't actually heard the full soundbite until just now.
00:45:21.460 What did he mention?
00:45:22.180 He mentioned the two things that you and I have been discussing.
00:45:23.940 He said anti-choice judges and investigations.
00:45:27.760 That's what's important to him.
00:45:29.580 That's why he thinks Democrats need to get to the polls.
00:45:32.280 The Republicans should listen.
00:45:34.840 Yes, run that as your ad. 0.89
00:45:37.740 Show them how disgusting these people are, first and foremost, these far leftists who 0.93
00:45:42.780 would talk so casually about something. 0.99
00:45:44.820 By the way, it's not that Republicans are anti-gay.
00:45:47.520 They're not at all.
00:45:48.340 But I think they'd prefer not to hear it discussed in those terms.
00:45:50.720 so casually like it's funny and secondly the promising that they're going to be appointing
00:45:56.600 pro-choice meaning pro-abortion judges left and right if they gain power or at least stopping
00:46:02.060 the uh pro-life judges and investigation rama so like it's not that hard why am i saying it like
00:46:09.780 honestly mark like you know they need to start doing it we're a month out well you're going to
00:46:14.980 see more negative ads and maybe maybe john levitt will make us into some of them you know you asked
00:46:19.040 what the Democrats did in 90 to 92 to help Bill Clinton. One thing was they highlighted ethical
00:46:25.220 challenges to the Bush administration. I think if the Democrats have either chamber or both,
00:46:31.120 there will be investigations. And I think from a 2028 point of view, how skillfully are they done?
00:46:37.180 The Democrats have not been particularly skillful in doing hearings, although some people think that
00:46:41.280 January 6th hearings were well produced. Mostly they haven't been when they've had the ability
00:46:46.500 to do it. And I think that that could be the biggest issue for 2028 is how do they do
00:46:52.120 investigations that the country says stop wasting our time? Or do they do investigations that put a
00:46:57.060 real target on not just President Trump, but his would be successor?
00:47:03.940 I just think January 6, no one cared. We'd already had an impeachment. We'd had nonstop
00:47:09.840 media coverage of it. By the time they got to their little, you know, pony show, it was like,
00:47:14.140 we know what you're doing, fuck off. 1.00
00:47:16.380 But this other stuff, like investigating 1.00
00:47:18.880 how much have the pockets been lined
00:47:21.440 and to what extent and how,
00:47:22.960 I do think people won't, that might resonate.
00:47:26.020 Like if they hit on some of the things
00:47:27.220 you and I have been discussing,
00:47:28.520 it won't be great for Trump or the Republicans.
00:47:30.780 They gotta do them well though.
00:47:31.820 But wait, two final things.
00:47:34.060 One, I wanted to say,
00:47:35.240 the Greenland deal actually is very good.
00:47:37.580 That is very good.
00:47:38.560 And that's another thing.
00:47:39.440 No one cares about Greenland exactly,
00:47:40.860 but we do care about North American security.
00:47:43.000 when it comes to the rest of the world, and that should be, I think, touted.
00:47:48.260 Unfortunately, the loss of Latinos is another big thing that's in the negative column that 0.67
00:47:53.640 we haven't discussed, and it's one of the reasons why you've got this Maria Salazar,
00:48:00.240 this House member down in Texas who's openly declared war, basically, on Trump.
00:48:05.460 Why?
00:48:06.220 Why?
00:48:06.640 Like, is it that bad?
00:48:08.120 Why are the Latinos so drastically against Republicans now?
00:48:12.340 Well, mostly for the reasons that independents are and young people, including young men, are they they're not happy with the nature of the government.
00:48:19.800 They're not happy with the war. Some aren't happy with the way Epstein was handled.
00:48:23.960 And in the case of Hispanics, some of them have not liked the ICE and border border enforcement, you know, in Minnesota and elsewhere where the president has waffled on.
00:48:36.280 is he only going after the worst, the worst, only going after those who've committed additional
00:48:40.260 crimes, or is he going after everybody? So there's some specialty reasons, and that's what her thing
00:48:45.900 was about. Her thing was about the border, but there's some specialty things that Hispanic voters 1.00
00:48:49.980 are upset about, but I would say if you talk to Hispanic voters who voted Republican but now have
00:48:54.640 drifted either to Democrat or undecided, it's just the same thing as for everybody else. They don't 0.97
00:49:00.540 understand why we're in a war, why prices are so high. Yeah, that's what we learned when we went
00:49:05.940 into 2024 is the the reason they were voting for trump is they hated the economy they hated the
00:49:12.180 inflation and it was one of those oh latinos they're just just like us they have the same
00:49:17.260 economic concerns they're going to vote based on the same issues but i do think it's interesting
00:49:21.340 that you have like republicans running to the immigration thing and criticizing ice and saying
00:49:27.140 like you know there should be more coordination with locals wasn't that the kansas message that
00:49:31.600 we just saw like no we need to coordinate more with the locals on this it was like from republican
00:49:35.880 lawmakers so they must be hearing something unless they're just misreading the latino backlash like
00:49:42.740 but they're like so many politicians often do and think that they're just all about immigration
00:49:46.740 i think there's some of that but basically and this is we didn't talk about florida you mentioned
00:49:51.300 it this is the problem is the president's unpopular in florida and kansas and so for a lot of these
00:49:56.580 republicans they're just looking for an issue whether it's the war immigration uh diesel a
00:50:01.280 diesel fuel export embargo. They just want to be on the record as saying, I don't agree with Trump
00:50:06.880 on everything, even if they don't phrase it that way. Because the president's super unpopular.
00:50:10.900 Florida would be in play, both Senate race and governor's race, except the Florida Republican
00:50:16.020 Party has so much organization and money and voter registration advantage. But even Florida,
00:50:20.680 which has been a citadel for the Republican Party, is a problem right now, primarily because
00:50:27.700 of the president and the unpopularity of both him and his policies.
00:50:31.640 Not just Florida, but Ohio, too.
00:50:34.340 That's another thing that should have been read, established read by now.
00:50:37.480 But there's been some problems there.
00:50:40.060 Yeah, it's not good.
00:50:41.040 Even Byron Donalds, who's running for governor down there, there was a news item last week
00:50:44.460 about how tight that race is and how he had diminished the Trump endorsement on his website.
00:50:49.260 So there's trouble afoot.
00:50:51.400 There's trouble in River City, Mark Halperin.
00:50:53.020 Thanks for keeping us up to date.
00:50:55.320 Great to see you, Megan.
00:50:55.900 Thank you.
00:50:56.060 Check him out.
00:50:56.500 Next up, Halperin.com.
00:50:59.040 He's a truth teller.
00:50:59.920 We'll be right back.
00:51:01.200 Everyone's talking about weight loss injections because the results can be so dramatic.
00:51:05.180 They work by lowering blood sugar and reducing appetite.
00:51:08.540 But what if you're looking to lose weight but are not interested in painful weekly injections,
00:51:13.240 especially when you hear about some of those intense side effects?
00:51:16.520 That's why doctors created a weight loss supplement called Lean, and the results could be remarkable.
00:51:22.500 Lean says the studied ingredients in their product
00:51:24.760 have been shown to lower your blood sugar,
00:51:26.980 burn fat by converting it into energy,

00:51:57.740 I'm Megan Kelly.
00:51:58.880 Every day on The Megan Kelly Show, we bring you the news, and this summer, we're bringing
00:52:02.920 you something extra.
00:52:04.440 Before I was a journalist, I was a lawyer.
00:52:06.940 I've spent 20-plus years now covering crime and the law, so I built a true crime series
00:52:12.140 that I always wanted to listen to.
00:52:14.560 We're calling it MK Confidential, and there we cover cases that you've heard about, like
00:52:19.100 JonBenet Ramsey, Shandra Levy, the DC Snipers, Scott Peterson, and some that you haven't.
00:52:25.240 One case per week, five episodes, Monday through Friday. New episodes every weeknight. Search for
00:52:31.140 The Megyn Kelly Show wherever you listen to podcasts and you will find MK Confidential.
00:52:38.680 We have got to talk about Madonna. Is anyone watching the VMAs anymore? They started in 1984
00:52:47.300 and as someone who was alive then, I can tell you that VMAs would have been relevant at the time
00:52:53.940 because there was not a lot of TV to choose from, and MTV was very cool.
00:52:59.240 It was still relatively new.
00:53:02.120 It was kind of a neat place to see your music played and get to see your favorite singers and artists.
00:53:07.520 We didn't have social media, so we didn't get a lot of, you know, time looking at them
00:53:12.920 or seeing them in their natural environment short of a concert
00:53:15.600 or their unnatural environment, as the case may be.
00:53:18.840 Anyway, there was a time.
00:53:21.560 That time has come and gone.
00:53:23.320 I mean, honestly, who is tuning in to the VMAs,
00:53:28.000 like the Video Music Awards, whatever.
00:53:30.900 Nonetheless, we're going to discuss it because, look,
00:53:34.020 Madonna is an American icon.
00:53:36.320 She is.
00:53:37.000 I would never take that away from her.
00:53:38.700 She's accomplished a lot over her five decades in the public eye. 1.00
00:53:45.980 And I don't know, I truly, for one, would love to see her be an example of being a badass bitch at age 68 who, after all the years of nonstop sexual titillation or attempts at it, 1.00
00:54:04.960 somehow finds the courage and inspiration to lean into a new way of exciting us. 0.92
00:54:14.820 Because let's be honest, I don't think most men out there are feeling really excited about the 0.73
00:54:22.320 secret possibility of having sex with a post, post, post menopausal woman like Madonna. 0.99
00:54:29.660 And I'm only saying that because her whole shtick seems to be, have sex with me. 1.00
00:54:34.960 look how I might be while I'm having sex because she's on the ground writhing with her legs apart 1.00
00:54:40.020 with hip thrusts. So clearly she wants you to have that image in your head. 1.00
00:54:44.920 And I am here to tell her that there comes a time when you really should shift the message.
00:54:52.780 It doesn't mean you can't be sexy at all. It doesn't mean you have to give up wanting action
00:54:58.520 in your personal life. But this is the problem for aging sex symbols. Women who have decided to make
00:55:05.480 that, their sexiness, their calling card, they've got a decision to make. You could go like fully 1.00
00:55:14.220 the other way, like Pam Anderson, which has been, by the way, a smash success. She, I don't think,
00:55:21.360 has lost the affection of men. I think men who used to want to sleep with her are looking at her 0.91
00:55:26.180 now is like, I like her. She's cool. They're probably not thinking I want to take her to bed
00:55:31.500 the way they did back in the barbed wire days. She doesn't wear any makeup now. She looks far
00:55:37.460 less barbified and she's fine with that. She likes the face in the mirror matching the one 0.76
00:55:43.880 she sees on Instagram or so she has said publicly. You don't have to go that far. Like I always wear
00:55:51.040 makeup when I go out in my down days. I think it's in part because I'm just so used to seeing
00:55:56.060 my face more heavily made up when I do the show. So like to go completely bare, even to me, it's
00:56:01.660 like weird looking. It's almost like, oh, wow, I'm almost not used to that person, but okay.
00:56:07.360 Then you could go the full Pam Anderson. My point is simply to try so desperately to stay
00:56:13.940 in the Sydney Sweeney lane looks just that desperate. It doesn't look attractive. I don't
00:56:21.620 think it's having the intended effect. And I do think there's an opportunity for her to do kind
00:56:28.640 of what Pam Anderson did, which is still have men being like, Madonna's cool. Good for her. She found 1.00
00:56:34.000 a way to redefine herself. That's what she was famous for back in the 80s and the 90s and the 1.00
00:56:40.800 early aughts, redefining herself, like a brand new way of shocking us or exciting us or getting 1.00
00:56:47.940 attention. It was always related, though, to something around sexual titillation. And wouldn't
00:56:54.880 it be the ultimate hat trick? I guess that's not the right term, right? Because that's a hockey
00:56:58.740 term that I think means something. In any event, wouldn't it be the ultimate trick to do it yet
00:57:04.160 again without that shit? Because truly, like, okay, she's 68 now. When she's 78, when she's 88, 1.00
00:57:11.180 do we still play along? When she's 88, if she's able to, like, gyrate on a stage,
00:57:16.560 Do I need to look at that and say I feel empowered as a woman? Because that does not make me feel empowered at all. At all. I would love, love for Madonna to find a new way of coming out and showing women this is a lane that's available to you at 68. That is me leaning into my fully empowered badass self. I have fucking more money than God. I'm internationally known, first name only. 0.59
00:57:43.060 I still have my talent such as it is. I mean, she was never known as like a great singer
00:57:48.560 or even as a great dancer. She was always known as a great entertainer.
00:57:52.920 Kind of like Paula Abdul, only a lot more famous and more successful. Paula Abdul was in the news
00:58:00.020 back when she was at her peak as she wanted to be listed in her IRS tax returns as entertainer.
00:58:05.740 I think that's what Madonna is. I just, whatever. This, what she's doing here is degrading.
00:58:13.960 She's degrading herself. And I, look, I'm talking about her. I guess maybe she would consider that 0.93
00:58:22.040 a win. I don't see this as a win. I really don't. I am feeling kind of sorry for her. Like I,
00:58:28.740 I feel like she, she looks a little sad to me. The whole situation is a little sad.
00:58:34.480 And I wish her daughter, Lourdes, would step in and say, Mom, you're too cool for this shit. 0.99
00:58:43.160 Please be the too cool person that I know you can be, like Tina Turner was. 0.99
00:58:48.740 Tina is a great example.
00:58:50.260 Tina was never raunchy. 0.58
00:58:51.440 She was always the picture of class. 1.00
00:58:53.260 She had on the shake the tail feathers outfits, and she could shake it like nobody's business while she was a great singing talent.
00:59:00.960 But as she got older, what did she do? 0.99
00:59:03.080 She still showed off those million-mile legs and the buff arms, and she had the hair, but she was appropriate. 1.00
00:59:13.320 She wore, like, the leather number, but, like, she wasn't showing off her ass, like, and her badge and the boobs with the nipples all the time. 0.94
00:59:21.560 Like, I don't—it's just there's a line, and I think to have class is to know where it is. 0.94
00:59:28.220 one other thing i was saying to my team like having i'm not against facial work i'm sure i
00:59:37.620 will get a facelift someday um that's fine but i like i think doing it non-stop like to the point
00:59:46.500 where it's like really obvious which is what i think madonna has done i think she might be at
00:59:52.520 these two facelifts in, is just weird. You look weird. You look old with a tight face,
01:00:00.260 an oddly tight face. And clearly she's had enormous lip injections and filler all over
01:00:07.060 her face. And what that does is make your face look heavy, not youthful. Look at this.
01:00:12.760 Look at those lips. She had nice, normal lips. And that picture on the left is with liner, 0.99
01:00:18.360 for sure, and lipstick. And so she had perfectly full lips. Honestly, those lips look literally 0.97
01:00:24.100 perfect. And now over on screen, right, we are, we have gone the full Kim Kardashian
01:00:29.340 and look at how heavy her face looks. That's from filler in my view. These claims have not
01:00:36.820 been evaluated by a doctor, but I'm just saying it looks like it's weighed down the entire face
01:00:43.040 with filler in the lips, filler in the cheeks.
01:00:46.820 And she doesn't need that. 0.99
01:00:48.540 She doesn't need all that.
01:00:51.180 You know, whatever.
01:00:52.200 It's just, it's not working.
01:00:55.960 You don't look at her and say,
01:00:57.380 no way, I can't believe she's 68.
01:00:59.560 I think you say she looks 68
01:01:02.460 and like she's had a ton of work done.
01:01:04.400 The trick is to get to 68 and look great
01:01:07.900 and not look like you've had a ton of work done 1.00
01:01:09.840 like a few ladies who we've pulled for an example. Michelle Pfeiffer, same age. Sharon Stone, 0.80
01:01:19.100 same age. And Angela Bassett, speaking of Tina Turner, Angela Bassett played Tina in the movie
01:01:27.660 What's Love Got to Do With It? And they look totally fabulous. Like they don't, they've got
01:01:34.480 a couple of lines. They look pulled together. Now, I don't know. Maybe they've had, I don't think
01:01:38.920 Sharon Stone has had a facelift. She's got like actual lines, but she looks great. 1.00
01:01:43.760 And Sharon Stone had a very serious brain issue. Something, she had like seizures much, 1.00
01:01:49.720 right after Basic Instinct, it was actually a shocking story where she had massive seizures
01:01:54.080 and she had a serious brain injury. And I think it's one of the reasons why she didn't make,
01:01:59.280 you know, her career was on like an incredible trajectory and it slowed a little. I think most
01:02:05.420 people know who she is. But my point is simply, she's probably not worried so much about getting
01:02:10.060 surgeries with general anesthesia that can be avoided and so on. Michelle Pfeiffer, she looks,
01:02:16.000 I mean, stunning. Like literally most of us would do anything to look like Michelle Pfeiffer.
01:02:21.480 These women are all 68. And look at this. Michelle Pfeiffer looks sexy. She's got a very low cut 0.98
01:02:27.480 dress on here. It's like not quite down to the navel, but it's well below the breasts. 1.00
01:02:31.500 but she looks amazing. She looks classy and she hasn't done anything weird to her lips or her
01:02:39.460 ass. She just looks gorgeous. And I, I think this is, I don't think most like 25 year old men are 0.99
01:02:45.760 not like, I want to have sex with Michelle Pfeiffer right now. They're probably looking at an old 0.92
01:02:49.740 tape of her thinking that version. But I think men in general, when you say the word Michelle
01:02:55.520 Pfeiffer, think beauty, elegance, class, married to David E. Kelly, who is like one of the great
01:03:02.620 writing talents of our time. And Sharon Stone, same exact analysis. And Angela Bassett, same too.
01:03:11.460 So anyway, my point is this, is like, I just think this is, you know how like the feminists
01:03:16.300 are constantly railing about, oh, that's that women back and poor women, this and poor women
01:03:21.360 that has never appealed to me. But I do think when it comes to female empowerment, the left
01:03:28.140 continues to praise and celebrate the wrong things. And they are praising and celebrating this,
01:03:35.900 you know, like, oh, Madonna does it again. She revents the wheel there. They love the
01:03:39.340 inappropriate sexual behavior on the stage. I don't. I don't. I think it's sending the wrong
01:03:44.860 message. There needs to be a point in life in 2026 America where women know that the sex appeal 1.00
01:03:55.360 is not required to be valued. Now, I know for most of us, we enjoy sex appeal and love to see
01:04:06.520 it in the eyes of our husbands and don't mind it even when a stranger appreciates the way we look
01:04:11.860 or, you know, whatever. But how long must it be your identifying characteristic, truly? I mean,
01:04:19.700 Madonna is basically telling us, well into your 60s and beyond. Like, I see that as my value,
01:04:27.760 even though I probably have a billion dollars, worldwide fame, endless platinum albums, and,
01:04:33.920 you know, talent that made it all. I just, I object. I wish she would choose something different
01:04:39.840 in her messaging. So here we get to the problem. She shows up and, um, okay, I guess we'll just
01:04:48.000 start with the lasers coming out of her and her dancers' asses. Um, there's video of them 1.00
01:04:56.020 gyrating on the stage, simulating sex acts, you know, with the hips lifting and dropping and
01:05:01.640 lifting and dropping. And, um, I mean, it's really more of a butt exercise they're simulating if I'm 0.71
01:05:06.720 being honest, because I don't think most people have sex like, whoa, all over the place with the 0.65
01:05:11.840 hips to keep them. Don't want a moving target. Someone could get her hurt. Maybe. And in the 0.52
01:05:19.120 middle of said sex act, then you drop on your lover. I've missed your smile. Astute MK show 0.99
01:05:27.900 viewers know the reference. And this is how the act went. Okay. With the lasers out the ass.
01:05:36.720 It's mother. 1.00
01:05:44.960 Everything will be in the state of consciousness.
01:05:53.020 So it's all the dancers in like dry ice, dragging each other around, legs out. 0.98
01:06:00.320 Yeah, I don't know if this is like simulated blowjobs or what. 1.00
01:06:03.540 But there's lasers coming out of the vag or the ass, and then Madonna also had that. 1.00
01:06:12.460 And she would later make remarks when she got to the microphone to, like, actually speak, pretending to, like, pull the laser out of her ass and drop it. 1.00
01:06:21.680 Again, the picture of class. 0.99
01:06:24.760 Sad.
01:06:25.500 But that's what she thinks is entertaining.
01:06:27.740 Then she did—oh, we have that.
01:06:30.240 Okay, Sat 16.
01:06:31.020 i'm short but i'm not this short don't make me bow down i've been doing that for too long 0.98
01:06:37.700 first of all i just want to get this sure sure thing out of my ass just 0.99
01:06:43.740 it's been in here all night pretending to pull something out of her ass i can party in the park 0.99
01:06:48.760 i i why are you guys so so far away i'm kind of unclear what this award is for i guess it's 0.98
01:06:56.240 for this short film.
01:06:57.480 Wait, hold on.
01:06:58.600 It's
01:06:59.000 Confessions to the film.
01:07:01.340 Okay.
01:07:02.160 Well,
01:07:02.780 I feel good
01:07:03.840 surrounded by people
01:07:05.080 who like to dance.
01:07:07.060 I want to thank Torso
01:07:08.380 for going on this adventure
01:07:11.080 with me.
01:07:12.220 Woo!
01:07:14.300 You guys didn't get my joke,
01:07:15.920 did you, 1.00
01:07:16.240 about the laser up my ass? 1.00
01:07:17.320 Did you get it? 1.00
01:07:18.480 It was up here all night
01:07:20.040 and I, yeah,
01:07:21.120 and then I took it out.
01:07:23.140 Anyway.
01:07:23.580 um so she's bombing and she knows she's bombing she has to say you didn't get my joke did you 0.99
01:07:33.020 i've been bowing down to people for too long what the fuck who you're madonna who have you bowed 1.00
01:07:39.260 down to give me a break stop trying to act like you're a victim you're not a victim again could 0.99
01:07:45.140 you could you please try to find a more empowering narrative for age 68 please i'm begging you
01:07:52.380 then like, I don't think she was drunk. I think she was trying to sound drunk because if you
01:07:58.840 listen to her, she's hitting her articulation. Like she doesn't in some of the other sots. I 0.98
01:08:03.920 actually don't think she was wasted. I think she was trying to pretend like she was with the 0.85
01:08:08.060 you didn't get my joke. I don't even know what I'm getting in the award for.
01:08:15.180 As my dear, dear friend, Maureen would say, not Callahan, Maureen Walsh from Fox,
01:08:21.640 my makeup artist. She stinks of desperation. And she does. She stinks of desperation. 1.00
01:08:28.100 Okay. So then she comes out there to do her thing and actually like sing a song. 1.00
01:08:31.820 That didn't go so well either because there was no singing. There was only this.
01:08:35.820 Saten.
01:08:51.640 Okay. So for the listening audience, first we saw Sabrina Carpenter and then we saw Madonna come out
01:08:58.580 and Madonna's lyrics kicked in and Madonna wasn't even moving her mouth. So can I say she was
01:09:03.980 lip syncing? Not really. She wasn't even trying. It was just a fraud upon the audience. I mean,
01:09:09.320 okay. I guess we're not, no one's shocked. Here's Sat 12. This is her performing
01:09:17.860 with, I don't know, while Charlie XCX performs. All I know about Charlie XCX is this is the person
01:09:25.140 who created Brat Summer around Kamala. Of course, Madonna talks about assassinating Trump. We know 0.89
01:09:30.560 what we're getting here, but take a look. It's not 11. No, 12. It's not 12. 12, 12, 12, 12.
01:09:47.860 Okay. Donna's in a bathroom stall, grinding aggressively against a guy. Okay, we get it. 1.00
01:09:59.420 You really want us to picture you having post-menopausal sex. Got it? I guess you do you, 0.99
01:10:06.240 but see earlier comments. Okay, there's this one, which has been making the rounds everywhere
01:10:14.480 today. I believe Madonna had butt implants a couple of years ago. She used to have honestly 1.00
01:10:20.240 like very tight, amazing hamstrings and quads into a very perky, muscular bottom. 1.00
01:10:27.820 I know because I researched before this show. Then she did something. Now, would you look at 0.99
01:10:34.340 this before and after? Look at that on the left. She looked great. Her ass looks muscular. So do
01:10:39.720 her legs. She looks awesome. She looks fit and in shape. I don't know what year this was. Devil 0.61
01:10:43.700 will tell me. Over here on the right, the legs have lost 2005. The legs have lost the muscle
01:10:49.760 tone. I mean, I guess that will happen, although I have to say her upper body still looks amazing.
01:10:53.800 And she's done something to her ass. Now, we saw what I believe were butt implants a couple of 1.00
01:10:59.060 years ago at a different performance. And then last night, she seems to have added to the situation
01:11:04.240 by putting actual padding in her pants. Her bloomers was the only word coming to mind. 0.99
01:11:11.780 you know because they're not like normal underwear it's like the like briefs that 0.99
01:11:17.740 you'd wear under a cheerleading skirt she was wearing and she was prancing around the stage 0.95
01:11:22.340 with this. Here it is in SOP 13. Okay. It doesn't look good. She just wants us talking about her,
01:11:43.640 which I'm complying with, but I just, you know, again, how is this hot, attractive,
01:11:50.100 sexy. It just telegraphs needy to me. Needy. I got to move on. I've spent enough time on her.
01:11:59.640 We got to talk about Naomi Watts. Naomi Watts appeared at a fashion award thing over, well, 0.65
01:12:10.800 it was actually a couple of weeks ago. I think it happened on September 11th. We were all dealing
01:12:13.500 with other things. And she, oh, was it Milan Fashion Week? Okay. So she went and she brought
01:12:21.400 her son. And her son is named Kai and he is a gender confused young man because he is masquerading 0.99
01:12:31.840 as a girl. And this is the picture that's been everywhere this weekend. What you see is a man
01:12:40.700 pretending to be a woman. He's young. I think he's like maybe 18. He's got the long blonde hair. 0.98
01:12:47.820 He has eyes that look like what you would put your child in if you wanted them to be a ghost
01:12:53.180 for Halloween. You might put them in a white sheet and then make the eyes in big circles,
01:12:58.480 like well below the eye and above it in like black makeup, navy or black makeup.
01:13:05.560 And that's Kai's look.
01:13:08.720 So this is a boy pretending to be a girl.
01:13:12.440 And I have to tell you, I find this so sad. 0.54
01:13:15.420 They had their son right around the same time we had ours.
01:13:21.800 You know, my sweet Yates just turned 17 on Friday.
01:13:25.580 And in New York, I was working at Fox at the time.
01:13:29.280 I was very, very busy.
01:13:30.700 and you can hire something called a baby nurse
01:13:33.860 to help you with your baby when he's very young.
01:13:37.160 And we had talked to
01:13:39.580 and had a relationship with for a short time
01:13:43.940 a baby nurse who knew the family.
01:13:45.940 And honestly, I had nothing but excitement for them too.
01:13:49.160 They had a baby boy right around the time
01:13:50.780 when we had a baby boy.
01:13:52.160 And I was thrilled for her
01:13:53.420 and I thought they were an adorable couple.
01:13:54.880 She's married to, was, Liev Schreiber.
01:13:58.100 And this is what happened with their boy. It's very sad. Like, it's it's very sad to me that they allowed their son to get caught up in the gender madness that is contagious in New York.
01:14:13.000 The audience will recall we pulled our children from the New York City schools because they were trying to shove it down the throats of all of our children who had zero gender confusion, but not for lack of trying by the schools.
01:14:25.960 And this is what can happen if you don't intervene and if when your child, you know, almost invariably persuaded by some forum on Reddit or a teacher gets swept up into this and you are told by the psychiatric community to affirm, affirm, affirm, affirm.
01:14:43.940 And I'm just going to tell you, Kai Schreiber did not look so happy in those photos.
01:14:49.720 And I don't think Kai Schreiber is likely to have a happy existence because none of them does.
01:14:58.400 It's, you know, nine times out of ten, these folks wind up very angry, embittered, confrontational, entitled.
01:15:06.760 Not everybody.
01:15:08.420 Caitlyn Jenner seems absolutely lovely.
01:15:10.640 So there are exceptions to the rule,
01:15:12.600 but why would you gamble with your child's mental health?
01:15:16.620 Now, it's possible that they just didn't understand
01:15:18.940 because I've lived that same parenting arc
01:15:21.520 where when our kids were very young,
01:15:25.040 people weren't talking about this issue.
01:15:27.600 And as you know from even my past coverage
01:15:29.500 of the trans issue back in, you know, 17, 18,
01:15:34.000 for most of that time, we were told, just be kind.
01:15:36.720 You know, they're getting bullied.
01:15:38.100 There's a very, very small percentage
01:15:39.520 who are genuinely gender confused, they deserve our support. I was sucked in by that. I didn't 1.00
01:15:45.060 have a gender confused child, but I'm just saying maybe they fell victim to a society that was 0.95
01:15:53.280 starting to embrace this without question. And now it's too late, but I feel terribly for them
01:16:00.800 all. I do. Now they're divorced too, by the way, Naomi and Liev Schreiber. I think she remarried.
01:16:06.440 Didn't she remarry another famous dude?
01:16:09.260 Can't remember who, but she did.
01:16:11.900 Okay, moving on.
01:16:13.380 Speaking of the trans issue,
01:16:16.260 Elliot Page, formerly known as Ellen Page, star of Juno,
01:16:21.140 is gracing the cover of New York Magazine right now
01:16:24.160 because it's celebrating men's health?
01:16:30.080 Men's?
01:16:31.540 Look at this, speaking of sad.
01:16:33.900 I almost cannot look at this. Honestly, I'm not saying this to be mean. I'm just being honest.
01:16:41.860 I'm repulsed by what I see there. I am genuinely repulsed by the body mutilation that this
01:16:48.840 beautiful young woman has done to herself and the masquerading she's doing before the world
01:16:56.440 and her own mirror. And the fact that New York Magazine wants us to celebrate this as an example
01:17:03.280 of men's health is abhorrent.
01:17:08.360 It's deeply offensive. 1.00
01:17:09.580 This is the opposite of men's anything. 1.00
01:17:12.820 This is an example of a woman's illness, 1.00
01:17:17.260 mental illness, to be exact. 0.98
01:17:20.240 That's why it was in the DSM-IV,
01:17:22.880 now we're in the V, and so on.
01:17:26.340 This is not to be celebrated.
01:17:28.600 And New York Magazine,
01:17:29.460 you are doing something very dangerous
01:17:30.960 by putting this person on the cover
01:17:33.140 in an effort to celebrate what she has done to her body and her breasts,
01:17:38.840 which will never look male.
01:17:41.720 And all you need to do is hear Elliot Page speak,
01:17:46.340 and you will hear what is clearly a manipulated voice,
01:17:51.760 a voice that's been so testosterone-ed up,
01:17:55.360 it will never sound female again, but it will never be male either.
01:17:59.860 It's stuck in some in-between that's only deeply disturbing.
01:18:05.540 They think they're being woke and tolerant. 1.00
01:18:08.140 What they're actually being is dangerous, dangerous to other young people who have been swept up or are considering getting swept up in this ideology who now see, oh, look, you get celebrated on the cover of New York Magazine for this shit. 0.99
01:18:25.000 You don't get shamed. 0.99
01:18:26.280 You don't get ignored.
01:18:27.200 You get celebrated as an example.
01:18:29.860 I find this disgusting. I really, really wish that Elliot Page would get the help he obviously,
01:18:37.460 she obviously so desperately deserves and needs. I think that ship has sailed.
01:18:45.060 Okay, let's move on to, well, I think we should talk about Tom and Giselle next,
01:18:50.900 because Tom Brady and Giselle are in the news today because there's a book that's coming out
01:18:55.880 about them. It's a book by Lars Anderson titled Brady, an American story and the price of
01:19:01.560 greatness. Now, I don't know Lars Anderson, but I do find some of these excerpts very interesting
01:19:08.900 and very telling as reprinted in the Daily Mail. The picture he's painting in this excerpt is of
01:19:17.920 a woman who desperately wanted more time with her husband and the father of her children and was
01:19:25.300 repeatedly denied. And I will tell you, based on my own sources, and I do have good ones,
01:19:31.560 that's exactly right. I've reported this before on this show, that she wanted him to be a husband
01:19:39.400 and a father. And this is where the reporting splits, because Lars seems to be reporting that,
01:19:47.660 well, yes, Tom was all football, and I've said that too, but that, and he wouldn't give her the
01:19:53.780 time with her that she wanted. My own reporting is that he was not all football. He was all football
01:20:00.580 during the days. But Tom Brady, even when he was married to Giselle, liked to go out and party a
01:20:07.900 lot. Maybe not while football season was going on or before a big game. But I mean, I know plenty of
01:20:13.860 people and I know where he was going. And this was one of her objections, I have been told by a
01:20:23.760 hanging out in clubs and out late carousing with dudes in, you know, bars, etc.
01:20:33.100 She wanted him to be home with her.
01:20:35.980 She's a Brazilian. 1.00
01:20:37.380 These tend to be very traditional women and wives. 1.00
01:20:40.560 I know a lot of Brazilian women. 0.98
01:20:42.780 They don't, and honestly, it's a Latina thing, too. 1.00
01:20:45.760 South American, they love their husbands and they want actual husbands. 1.00
01:20:51.220 They want actual husbands.
01:20:52.140 And my information is Tom Brady really wasn't interested, even though Giselle was his wife.
01:20:58.600 The reporting of Lars Anderson is interesting, though. What Lars is reporting is that she went
01:21:06.380 to him and begged him, begged him to spend more time with her. So this is what Lars reports.
01:21:13.660 In 2017, minutes after Tom Brady had just masterminded the greatest comeback in NFL
01:21:18.000 history to win his sixth Super Bowl, Giselle and their two children ran onto the field to celebrate.
01:21:24.360 But the first words Giselle said to her husband of eight years had nothing to do with the game
01:21:28.780 and everything to do with the future. Quote, would now be the perfect time to retire. Brady did not
01:21:34.820 know what to say. He hugged his wife and acted as if he had not heard the question. Later that night
01:21:40.100 in Houston, as the team celebrated, Giselle pressed her husband a second time. Brady was
01:21:44.700 unresponsive. After a third attempt, he finally answered, too bad, babe. I'm having too much fun
01:21:50.720 right now. Giselle went for a more direct approach the following year in 2018, days after Brady and
01:21:58.580 the New England Patriots had suffered a gut-wrenching Super Bowl loss to the Eagles. Giselle wrote her
01:22:03.560 husband a letter, serious, handwritten. I'm reading here. She explained that their marriage was not
01:22:09.360 working. She needed more of him, more of his time, more of his attention, more of his heart.
01:22:13.700 She needed him to be present when he was at home,
01:22:15.860 not responding to text messages
01:22:17.240 on his constantly buzzing cell phone
01:22:19.100 or replaying a game in his mind.
01:22:21.600 She needed more help with the kids. 0.85
01:22:23.700 She needed the chance to sleep in just a few days a week. 0.95
01:22:26.620 Presumably this is when their kids were younger. 0.99
01:22:29.460 She needed more time for her own career.
01:22:32.720 The couple went to marriage counseling,
01:22:34.300 but Brady eventually filed the heartfelt letter in a drawer.
01:22:38.680 In early 2020, the family relocated to Florida
01:22:40.820 when Brady signed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
01:22:43.940 Think about being married to Tom,
01:22:45.220 said one of his friends, a former NFL player.
01:22:47.620 The guy gets up at the crack of dawn,
01:22:48.940 thinks all day about a game that's foreign to his wife,
01:22:50.860 comes home and is in bed each night by nine.
01:22:54.080 Again, that's not true.
01:22:56.840 Maybe before a game, but trust me, no.
01:23:02.540 Okay, by nine, he can't really eat out
01:23:04.960 or go out without causing a scene. 1.00
01:23:07.580 Everything he puts in his mouth tastes like shit. 1.00
01:23:09.740 That's also not true. 1.00
01:23:10.820 I know one of their chefs. 1.00
01:23:12.920 The whole lifestyle had to be getting tiresome for Giselle. 1.00
01:23:16.940 Worried that enrolling their young children at a new school would be too much change, 0.94
01:23:21.320 Giselle committed to homeschooling Benny and Vivian in Tampa.
01:23:24.300 We were only going to stay for a year, she said.
01:23:26.300 One turned to two.
01:23:28.360 On February 1st, he announced the verdict.
01:23:30.320 At the age of 44 and after 22 years in professional football, his NFL career was over.
01:23:34.340 That decision lasted 40 days.
01:23:38.040 On March 13th, Brady announced he would return for a 23rd season.
01:23:41.080 He set his sights on an eighth Super Bowl win.
01:23:43.540 Quote, I've realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands.
01:23:46.980 That time will come, but it's not now.
01:23:50.140 At first, Giselle made the right noises, expressing public support for the decision.
01:23:53.800 I don't think relationships just happen.
01:23:55.880 It's never the fairy tale people want it to believe it is, she said that summer.
01:23:59.780 When you love someone, you don't put them in a jail and say you have to live this life.
01:24:03.340 You set them free to be who they are.
01:24:06.300 And they said that July, when he showed up for training camp, he looked gaunt, cadaverous
01:24:12.380 is the word.
01:24:13.080 People worried he was ill.
01:24:14.460 He had lost 20 pounds.
01:24:16.900 That was a lot of weight to lose off of his frame.
01:24:20.080 And people knew he was very stressed.
01:24:22.060 He looked like a cancer patient, said one.
01:24:24.620 Seemed miserable. 0.93
01:24:26.200 And they say they believe he was upset about his failing marriage.
01:24:30.140 In truth, writes Lars, Giselle had been so upset at Brady's U-turn that she had flown
01:24:34.080 off to Costa Rica.
01:24:36.020 With just six months left in his football career,
01:24:38.340 the bond he and Giselle had was flickering out
01:24:40.800 like a match in a strong gust of wind,
01:24:43.320 the fragile illusion of forever now fast fading.
01:24:47.180 The frantic nearly two-week effort to rescue his marriage,
01:24:50.480 which is another detail, had failed.
01:24:53.280 Those close to Brady feared the countdown to divorce was on,
01:24:56.800 but Brady remained utterly captivated by Giselle,
01:24:59.680 still lost in the enchantment of her.
01:25:01.720 Tom was an empty shell of who he was when he got back.
01:25:04.080 There was no joy. Everything was hard work. Tom was FaceTiming with Giselle during the day between
01:25:11.500 meetings, checking to see if she needed anything. These were normal conversations. She seemed happy.
01:25:16.540 Then one day, Giselle, who was really into astrology, basically looked into the stars and
01:25:21.020 told Tom, we are not compatible. And just like that, she was done. Brady and Giselle announced
01:25:27.860 their divorce on October 28th, 2022, after 13 years of marriage. In February 25, she gave birth
01:25:33.520 to her third child, her first, with boyfriend Joaquin Valente, her former jiu-jitsu instructor.
01:25:39.560 According to one of Brady's friends, he was absolutely stung that she'd become pregnant
01:25:42.540 just two years later after their divorce. Just over a month after the birth, he shared a photo
01:25:47.200 of himself on Insta. In the color photograph, Brady's right arm is extended and a ball has
01:25:52.580 spiraled out of his hand. He is silhouetted by the sunset's golden glow. Underneath, Brady wrote,
01:25:58.280 true love. To those who knew him well, there was no ambiguity. As one friend described it,
01:26:02.860 that was the softest middle finger. Presumably the true love being football and not his wife.
01:26:10.880 I mean, you might mention your children there. I mean, unless they're actually not of football for
01:26:19.200 you. And perhaps they're not. Because when Giselle was asking Tom to stay home with her and their
01:26:27.940 children, and he was allegedly saying no, if football was too important to him, he was having
01:26:34.640 too much fun, he was saying no to time with his kids too. He was saying no to helping raise them
01:26:41.660 in a more active way. I've seen Tom with his kids, and I think he's a loving, good father.
01:26:48.760 I do. I just think football has been his number one love, as that Instagram post seemed to suggest.
01:26:56.180 and I think it's really sad that he met this amazing dynamic woman who's by the by the way
01:27:02.860 like in the beginning I think her money dwarfed his if you're a top supermodel in the world you're
01:27:07.700 making hundreds of millions of dollars you know question Giselle was she's been the number one
01:27:12.060 supermodel in the world for a long time I don't know if she is today but she was for a very long
01:27:15.980 time and not until he got his deal with Fox I think did he start making hundreds of millions
01:27:21.780 of dollars a year. Though what do I know? Because he had endorsement deals and all that. And I'm
01:27:26.600 sure the numbers were huge all along. The point is simply what might have been, you know, what
01:27:31.680 might have been if they could have found a way between his enormous career and hers to actually
01:27:36.680 raise the kids in a more active, present way. Maybe their marriage could have been saved.
01:27:42.200 Maybe the kids would have had more access to this superstar that America loves. And then I'm sure
01:27:47.860 more than his biggest, most diehard fans they wanted access to.
01:27:53.780 It's sad to me, something to be considered before you get married
01:27:56.960 and really before you have the children.
01:28:00.440 And on that front, she's responsible as well.
01:28:02.700 She knew what she was marrying.
01:28:04.140 He was not projecting stay-at-home dad vibes.
01:28:08.880 And, you know, it was an enormous request to basically ask him to give up his career
01:28:15.100 because unlike Giselle's career,
01:28:17.820 NFL football cannot be done part-time.
01:28:20.540 Cannot.
01:28:21.440 Modeling can, but NFL football cannot.
01:28:24.980 And I'm sure the children receive many, many benefits
01:28:27.080 as a result of their dad being Tom Brady
01:28:29.040 and being one of the most celebrated athletes in the world.
01:28:33.340 But all of this is very sad to me
01:28:34.880 because I just think of a loving wife
01:28:37.780 who was asking to actually share her life with a husband
01:28:41.260 and could not get a yes.
01:28:43.020 And on that front, my reporting has dovetailed with this reporting here, so it was not a surprise to me.
01:28:50.780 Okay, when we come back, the moment of the weekend, this guy Verlander on the pitcher's mound for Detroit.
01:29:00.420 Honestly, it was so uplifting.
01:29:03.320 It's kind of the opposite messaging of what we've been talking about so far.
01:29:08.180 Let's talk about something that is not always the most comfortable subject, but it is incredibly

01:31:44.280 New episodes every weeknight.

01:31:51.700 Hey everyone, it's me, Megyn Kelly.
01:31:53.700 I've got some exciting news.
01:31:56.140 I now have my very own channel on Sirius XM.
01:31:59.260 It's called the Megyn Kelly Channel,
01:32:00.660 and it is where you will hear the truth,
01:32:02.320 unfiltered, with no agenda, and no apologies.
01:32:05.380 Along with the Megyn Kelly Show,
01:32:06.560 you're going to hear from people like Mark Halperin,
01:32:08.740 Link Lauren, Maureen Callahan, Emily Jashinsky,
01:32:11.420 Jesse Kelly, Real Clear Politics, and many more.
01:32:14.720 It's bold, no BS news,
01:32:16.820 only on the Megyn Kelly Channel,
01:32:18.680 Sirius XM 111, and on the Sirius XM app.
01:32:23.700 All right. Before we get to the nice moment, I've got to spend one minute on those morons 1.00
01:32:30.320 over at The View. So during Friday's show, Joy Behar was apparently discussing a clip from some 0.99
01:32:37.000 podcast in which the host recommended giving your inner critic a man's name so you are less prone to
01:32:45.500 listen to it. This is how liberals think. Men are the devil, and therefore you name your inner
01:32:51.420 critic something that's male, and then you'll just disregard it because, you know, all liberal 0.99
01:32:57.680 women disregard everything men say. I mean, I think most conservative women would say this, 0.55
01:33:03.140 this won't work on me. I actually love and listen to my husband and he loves and listens to me.
01:33:09.620 This is why liberal women are so unhappy. That's why they don't, they don't get married. When they 1.00
01:33:13.160 do get married, they're unhappy. They're not having sex. It's like all the whole thing.
01:33:16.780 You shouldn't take relationship advice from Joy Behar or the podcast that she follows.
01:33:21.420 In any event, the table goes around and it comes around to Sonny Hostin.
01:33:28.100 And would you listen to her answer?
01:33:30.560 I don't have this sort of negative self-talk going on in my head.
01:33:34.160 The world already tries to tell me what I can and cannot say and what I can and cannot do.
01:33:39.660 And as a black woman in the United States, I don't have that sort of thing going on in my mind
01:33:46.320 because I'm criticized constantly and I have to, my average has to be excellent.
01:33:52.800 So I don't participate in that.
01:33:57.820 Wow.
01:33:58.860 Even that audience could only manage a smattering. 1.00
01:34:02.020 As a black woman in America, her average has to be excellent because of all the racists. 0.72
01:34:07.080 Obviously, that is what she's saying. 0.79
01:34:09.580 This country that she thinks is so racist has made her a multimillionaire.
01:34:13.740 She lives in one of the nicest homes in Westchester.
01:34:17.120 Her son went to Harvard, and I think the daughter went to some hoity-toity school as well.
01:34:22.400 She sent them to a high school, according to her, called Ethical Culture, which is $60,000 or $70,000 a year right now.
01:34:31.320 It is, Doug and I toured that school when we were looking for, speaking of my children, when we were looking for our eldest.
01:34:38.060 Because unlike Nicole Hannah-Jones, we actually wanted him to go to a great school.
01:34:42.640 And in Manhattan, you're rolling the dice.
01:34:45.480 So we didn't know anything about the schools and we did tour ethical culture.
01:34:48.860 And when we walked out, I said to Doug, this would be a great school for Rachel Maddow's children.
01:34:55.360 It was so woke and over the top.
01:34:58.120 There were about 10,000 posters, gut privilege, check it, on the walls.
01:35:03.480 It is known for how woke and annoying it is.
01:35:05.740 And this is the same school that she says she sent her her kids there and that they got treated by a bunch of racists like it was a racist school. 1.00
01:35:16.600 Bullshit. Zero chance. That's true. 1.00
01:35:18.640 But my point is simply her kids had the best educations, both at the undergraduate and K through 12 level and allegedly at the college level.
01:35:27.700 I don't think Harvard's the best place you can go, but a lot of people do.
01:35:31.760 Then she becomes a federal prosecutor. 0.72
01:35:35.700 Absolutely no discrimination in that process. 0.97
01:35:38.140 She becomes, you know, what she wanted to be.
01:35:40.940 Goes to law school, of course. 1.00
01:35:42.820 And then parlays that into a television career that makes her millions and gives her this amazing lifestyle. 1.00
01:35:48.440 And she wants you to know that this is a fucking racist country that she has demanded she'd be perfect, excellent, because she's black. 0.99
01:35:57.700 So she has to be, oh, this is so tiresome. 1.00
01:36:00.860 And by the way, she's lamenting that the Internet says nasty things about her. 0.96
01:36:05.500 She's criticized constantly. 0.80
01:36:07.280 She says, hello, Sonny, it's called being a public figure in America.
01:36:11.300 Grow up.
01:36:12.960 Grow up.
01:36:14.340 As I always point out, some of us have been on the cover of the National Enquirer as, and I quote, the country's most hated mom.
01:36:23.140 Okay, that is one teeny tiny drip of the ocean of negativity you could get around my career.
01:36:29.580 My life is a public figure.
01:36:31.660 But in a simple Google search, stop bitching about it all the time.
01:36:35.320 Just stop.
01:36:36.520 It's part of the job.
01:36:38.660 Grow up and act like you've been there.
01:36:40.720 Okay, moving on to the nice story.
01:36:43.500 Justin Verlander.
01:36:45.540 He is 43 years old.
01:36:47.360 I got to read the background because, of course, I know nothing about him.
01:36:50.020 One of the most accomplished MLB pitchers of his generation.
01:36:52.520 2005, began his career with the Detroit Tigers.
01:36:55.160 Three-time Cy Young Award winner.
01:36:57.320 2011 American League MVP, 10-time All-Star,
01:37:01.280 two-time World Series champ with the Houston Astros,
01:37:04.100 where he played for a while.
01:37:06.340 Per MLB.com, he finished with 3,554 career strikeouts,
01:37:10.860 the eighth most in MLB history.
01:37:13.320 That's amazing.
01:37:14.360 Played for the Tigers, Astros, and the Mets.
01:37:16.680 How about the Mets and the San Francisco Giants
01:37:19.240 and was finishing his career off with Detroit again.
01:37:22.000 In 2012, he met model Kate Upton while filming a commercial connected to MLB.
01:37:31.160 In 2014, they began dating.
01:37:36.100 She showed up to a baseball game.
01:37:38.900 He was playing for Detroit against the Yankees, and this moment was caught on cam.
01:37:45.000 That is the lovely Kate Upton and Justin Verlander tossing her baseball.
01:37:51.020 and, oh, it's got to be love.
01:38:02.300 And a big, big Tiger fan.
01:38:05.220 She's adorable.
01:38:06.380 She's very pretty.
01:38:07.980 She was parlayed into international stardom 0.97
01:38:11.120 thanks to Carl's Jr.,
01:38:12.300 which ran an ad with her, which we have.
01:38:17.700 I got a fever.
01:38:19.440 Inflammation, that's what I got
01:38:23.920 Eating the big burger.
01:38:28.460 And she looks very turned on by it.
01:38:31.480 And she has on fishnet stocking.
01:38:33.980 And a very low cut little shirt.
01:38:39.400 And a garter belt.
01:38:41.240 And very large breasts, which appear kind of sweaty.
01:38:43.540 pepper jack cheese and spicy santa fe sauce and now she's lying down unhooking the garter belt 0.96
01:38:50.480 and taking the stockings down with her burger and now she's bending over the classic just got
01:38:55.860 a whole lot hotter okay now that worked that ad worked madonna that's you can get away with that
01:39:10.700 when you're Kate Upton, not 68 years old at the VMAs. But in any event, they got married. So this
01:39:16.880 guy's got it all. He marries Kate Upton. He's MLB's MVP and winning World Series and 10-time
01:39:24.320 all-star and all, like, incredible, incredible the number of things that this guy had on his resume.
01:39:30.420 And then he added to that two children. Daughter Genevieve, born in November of 2018, and seven
01:39:38.840 years later, they welcomed a second daughter, Bellamy, in June of 2025. Well, he decided this
01:39:44.200 past July that he was going to retire, writing on X about how he was fully committed when he
01:39:51.420 re-signed with Detroit, but things were starting to go south on his body, and he realized this
01:39:57.900 season had to be his last, and wrote, it's fitting that I get to finish where it all started with the
01:40:03.880 Detroit Tigers. So he goes out to Saturday's game. And the moment came where he was basically,
01:40:13.240 I think they were pulling him from the mound. And forgive me this part I'm sketchy on, but I think
01:40:18.700 they sent like his coach out or somebody out to sort of tell him, okay, you know, you're coming
01:40:22.580 off the mound. And everybody knew this meant it would be his last time on the mound as a professional
01:40:28.900 MLB player, which was storied and emotional for the obvious reasons. And as that coach
01:40:35.340 walked out, his daughter, Genevieve, ran to the mound. Let's watch it. 0.99
01:40:43.820 He's going to get Justin Verlander's daughter, Genevieve.
01:40:58.900 He's holding her tightly and clearly proud.
01:41:05.540 He's completely bent over her at the top of her head.
01:41:08.420 He's shaking.
01:41:10.060 He's clearly sobbing.
01:41:14.560 Now he hugs the coach.
01:41:16.520 His fans are going wild.
01:41:18.220 All the other players come over.
01:41:21.900 And Genevieve walks him off the mound, off the field.
01:41:25.260 of all the pitches he threw
01:41:30.440 from 60 feet 6 inches
01:41:32.560 the speed 0.99
01:41:35.560 at which she ran out
01:41:38.480 to the mound
01:41:39.060 might be the most important thing
01:41:42.560 we've seen today
01:41:44.560 he's hugging his wife
01:41:50.800 and their baby too
01:41:51.900 and Genevieve Zimmer as well
01:41:53.560 Nailed it.
01:41:59.460 Well done, sir.
01:42:02.440 What a beautiful way to end your professional baseball career.
01:42:06.940 Surrounded by your loved ones, your teammates, your fans who got you started, your coach,
01:42:13.660 and your babe, your little girl, who actually will have her father around as she grows up,
01:42:22.660 the majority of her adolescence, whose baby will have her father around for her entire life,
01:42:29.940 God willing, and your wife, who loves you and supported your career for all these years,
01:42:35.740 and probably, much like Giselle, will be thrilled to have more of him at home.
01:42:41.700 That is a life well-led, Justin.
01:42:46.080 I tip my hat to you.
01:42:47.660 Clearly, you have the love of your family.
01:42:49.540 Let's watch quickly Sot 8, him, or what is it, Sot 22 after the game.
01:42:54.420 Justin, just thinking about your daughter again, she's at a great age because she's
01:42:57.920 going to remember all of the stuff that's happening, but as she gets older, what do
01:43:02.340 you want her to understand about why all of this matters to you the way it does?
01:43:08.280 I mean, you commit your life to something.
01:43:11.500 I've been a baseball player since I was five years old.
01:43:16.000 I gave everything for this.
01:43:17.780 I left home.
01:43:19.680 She's in school, and I wasn't there.
01:43:30.740 It's just a level of commitment it takes to be great at something, you know?
01:43:35.180 And I hope she understands.
01:43:37.160 She means the world to me.
01:43:38.920 My family means the world to me.
01:43:41.140 And I'm just so happy that it's, I mean, I'm happy that I get the opportunity now to make up for lost time.
01:43:50.460 Good for him.
01:43:52.240 His little girl's, I think she's seven, about to turn eight.
01:43:55.960 And he hasn't missed it.
01:43:58.400 He hasn't missed it.
01:43:59.580 He can still be there in a very meaningful way.
01:44:02.780 And she's still in their house.
01:44:04.020 And I can feel his pain thinking about what he did miss those first seven years.
01:44:08.120 but good for him for making a smart decision.
01:44:11.940 Sounds like both for his team
01:44:13.180 but definitely for his family.
01:44:15.440 There's no greater commitment
01:44:16.700 than to the children you bring into this world.
01:44:19.800 God bless them.
01:44:21.100 Tomorrow, very excited to bring you Dr. Sean O'Meara,
01:44:24.820 the man behind RFKJ's diet and J.D. Vance's.
01:44:28.000 We'll see him tomorrow.
01:44:30.100 Thanks for listening to The Megyn Kelly Show.
01:44:31.840 No BS, no agenda, and no fear.
01:44:38.120 Thank you.
