00:03:12.540 internal testing and in the real world. Some notably arising from tests deliberately designed

00:05:39.100 regulation. Amadei missing Thursday's state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping,

00:05:44.960 where many of the country's biggest tech CEOs were in attendance. Axios reporting Amadei had

00:05:50.820 a scheduling conflict and that Mr. Trump invited him to a separate dinner with Mr. Trump last

00:05:56.700 night. Mr. Trump rejecting calls for a slowdown, arguing the U.S. cannot afford to lose its

00:06:02.000 lead over China. Attorney General Todd Blanche yesterday on ABC defending the administration's

00:06:07.560 position. It is so important and vital to our national security interests and to the success

00:06:12.820 of this country that the United States lead, lead in this space. And so what President Trump has

00:06:19.000 said, and what we expect to do every single day is make sure that we have a forum in this

00:06:25.920 country to be the leader in this technology. Now, does that mean along the way there's

00:06:30.680 going to be concerns, there's going to be adjustments that have to be made? Of course.

00:06:33.700 And by the way, the leaders of AI, they have tools already. If they need to curb that and

00:06:38.640 they need to bring that in and adjust the technology, they can do that. But in the meantime,

00:06:44.280 the answer is not to just try to all of a sudden try to regulate this in a way that will make us

00:06:50.200 second or third place in the world as far as being the leaders in this space.

00:06:56.180 Despite the competition with China, the U.S. reaching an agreement with the country to

00:07:00.180 communicate when potentially dangerous AI incidents occur. Following last week's Trump-Xi

00:07:05.880 summit, the White House saying the two countries will establish a direct channel for those incidents

00:07:10.700 and we'll meet again by November to discuss the technology's risks and benefits.

00:07:17.080 A pair of new reports raising fresh questions about the warnings Israel received before Hamas'

00:07:23.160 October 7th attack and what its leaders did in reaction to them. Earlier this month,

00:07:28.800 Israeli newspaper Haaretz reporting the President of the United Arab Emirates called Prime Minister

00:07:34.780 Benjamin Netanyahu in late September 2023, reportedly warning that Hamas was preparing

00:07:41.500 a major attack. In response to that report, the prime minister strongly rejecting the allegations

00:07:47.700 and threatening a lawsuit. The New York Times now reporting two people with knowledge of the call

00:07:52.960 corroborate the warning was given, but Mr. Netanyahu apparently did not communicate the plan

00:07:58.420 to colleagues. Five former Israeli officials telling the paper they were not informed of

00:08:03.600 the warning. The Times reviewing minutes from an October 1st meeting about the ongoing issues in
