00:00:00.000 Okay, flights on Air Canada.

00:00:01.960 Oh, wow.

00:00:02.840 Mallorca, that's new.

00:00:04.080 Oh, nice.

00:00:05.280 But Vienna is a classic.

00:00:07.160 Mozart, palaces, and schnitzel.

00:00:09.540 Mm, now you're cooking.

00:00:11.040 If you're hungry, deli brings the heat.

00:00:13.140 Heat?

00:00:14.060 Cartagena's got sun and the sea to cool off.

00:00:16.740 So does Martinique.

00:00:18.160 Mm, and that French cuisine?

00:00:20.180 Book it.

00:00:21.120 Yes, chef.

00:00:22.220 Wait, what about Lyon?

00:00:24.160 Choose from our world of destinations if you can.

00:00:27.500 Air Canada.

00:00:28.760 Nice travels.

00:00:30.000 Good morning, everyone.

00:00:33.960 I'm Megyn Kelly.

00:00:34.920 It's Monday, October 20th, 2025, and this is your AM Update.

00:00:40.000 No, President Trump, we don't want you or any other king to rule us.

00:00:47.120 Millions turn out over the weekend for the anti-Trump, no kings protests,

00:00:51.880 including a bunch of the usual Democratic lawmakers,

00:00:54.260 as new reporting reveals who's funding the grassroots coalition.

00:01:00.000 The Israel-Hamas ceasefire facing a major test as U.S. officials prepare to begin negotiations

00:01:06.040 on phase two of the peace plan.

00:01:08.780 And a small crew absconding with priceless jewels swiped from a world-famous museum in

00:01:14.880 broad daylight.

00:01:15.820 Thank you to President Trump for clemency and for having such an amazing will for second

00:01:21.780 chances.

00:01:22.600 And former Congressman George Santos freed from prison after a Trump commutation.

00:01:28.040 All that and more coming up in just a moment on your AM Update.

00:01:30.820 As President Trump is settling into his new administration, one of the top Democrats in

00:01:38.620 Congress aiming to undermine the Trump agenda is Democrat Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois.

00:01:43.940 And according to our sponsor, the Electronic Payments Coalition, Senator Durbin has a new

00:01:49.260 plan, a government takeover of your credit card.

00:01:52.000 Today, Americans have thousands of choices in credit cards, but they say Senator Durbin's

00:01:57.160 plan will result in less competition and less security, which means more risk for your credit

00:02:02.620 and your identity.

00:02:03.900 You can learn more for yourself at guardyourcard.com.

00:02:07.600 And you could consider telling your senators to stop Dick Durbin's government takeover of

00:02:12.280 your credit card before it's too late.

00:02:14.760 The No Kings Coalition holding rallies in several cities on Saturday against the Trump

00:02:23.000 administration, while new reporting reveals the groups and funding behind the movement.

00:02:28.480 Protesters turning out across the country, registering a broad range of grievances against

00:02:33.040 the White House.

00:02:34.160 Many appeared elderly and frail, several calling themselves Grand Tifa for a grandparent Antifa

00:02:41.160 member, others wearing costumes and playing instruments, Democrat lawmakers seizing the

00:02:46.760 spotlight, railing against what they call injustices under President Trump, casting themselves as

00:02:52.000 defenders of democracy.

00:02:53.920 Many were in tears.

00:02:55.720 Here, a sampling from U.S. Senators Chris Murphy of Connecticut, Bernie Sanders of Vermont,

00:03:00.640 and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts. 0.89

00:03:03.100 The truth is that Donald Trump is the most corrupt president in the history of the United 0.93

00:03:06.760 States of America. 0.95

00:03:07.940 We are not a people that can be ruled.

00:03:10.060 Our government is not for sale.

00:03:13.220 No, President Trump, we don't want you or any other king to rule us.

00:03:20.220 We will not move toward authoritarianism in America.

00:03:25.960 We, the people, will rule.

00:03:28.500 Now, when you ask these Republicans about today, they claim a no-king's rally is anti-American.

00:03:40.960 Standing up to a wannabe dictator, that is patriotism.

00:03:48.000 One state senator from Connecticut, Saoud Anwar, who is also a medical doctor, photographed holding

00:03:54.040 a sign that read, quote, cholesterol, do your job.

00:03:57.840 The calls for Trump to die were actually widespread at these rallies from a young woman praying for it 1.00

00:04:04.040 explicitly to an old man parading around in an 86-47 shirt.

00:04:09.380 Later today, the Megyn Kelly show will have a full report on the many abhorrent and hilarious 0.91

00:04:14.460 displays from the day.

00:04:15.720 This next clip gathered by the Daily Signal.

00:04:19.080 Just a preview.

00:04:20.260 We need to get ourselves together.

00:04:22.080 And we might even need to be a little bit meaner because the Republicans don't mind being mean.

00:04:28.740 And by mean, what do you mean?

00:04:29.960 Do you mean protesting?

00:04:31.100 Do you mean?

00:04:31.660 Maybe we have to, I don't know, stop being so nice.

00:04:34.460 Okay, and I have to ask this because people on the other side are going to say that they

00:04:39.400 feel like the Democrat Party has been mean recently with Charlie Kirk being assassinated. 1.00

00:04:44.380 Charlie Kirk is a piece of garbage. 1.00

00:04:45.720 Of course we were mean. 1.00

00:04:46.740 I am so tired of people saying, oh, but, you know, it's a terrible thing.

00:04:51.000 No, Hitler is dead. 0.94

00:04:52.740 I'm glad Hitler's dead. 1.00

00:04:54.460 Evil people have no place in my world. 1.00

00:04:58.160 He was a hateful human being. 1.00

00:05:01.200 It was disgusting, the things that he said and did. 0.99

00:05:03.440 And I have, you know, I don't have time for that.

00:05:06.700 I'm sorry.

00:05:07.240 I have to point my energy in other directions.

00:05:10.160 This messaging was everywhere this weekend.

00:05:12.620 From the same party that wants to lecture you on racist text messages from some no-name

00:05:17.480 Republicans on a private text thread.

00:05:19.840 Just as soon as they extract GOP tsk-tisking of its own side, they resume their celebrations

00:05:26.220 of political murder.

00:05:28.600 I'll have a lot more to say on this later today.

00:05:30.940 Behind the scenes, a network of radical activist organizations and major donors funding and

00:05:36.760 coordinating the No King's Day movement.

00:05:39.500 The Epoch Times reporting the New York City arm of the No King's Day protest organized in

00:05:44.460 part with support from Communist Party USA.

00:05:48.040 The Daily Caller noting that Communist Party USA has on multiple occasions expressed support

00:05:53.260 for former Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, known for torturing and slaughtering thousands of

00:05:58.440 people.

00:05:58.920 A No King spokesperson telling the Epoch Times the group is only participating in New York

00:06:03.940 and not hosting any other event, and that their participation is, quote, not a reflection

00:06:08.800 of the national arm.

00:06:10.820 Investigative journalist Azra Nomani's Pearl Project finding anti-Israel activist groups

00:06:16.260 embedding themselves into the No King's movement.

00:06:19.380 Nomani writing for Fox News, quote,

00:06:21.320 The movement's polished pro-democracy branding masks a coordinated network of Democratic tax-exempt

00:06:27.640 non-profits and labor unions, political action committees, coalitions, and for-profit protest

00:06:33.820 consultants that includes some of the most malicious activists against Israel, including

00:06:39.180 self-declared socialist groups like the Party for Socialism and Liberation, Democratic Socialists

00:06:44.600 of America, and Students for a Democratic Society.

00:06:47.580 Former MSNBC host Mehdi Hassan speaking at the No Kings rally in D.C.

00:06:53.580 Donald Trump, the man who uses Palestinian as a pejorative, as a slur, has no plan for

00:06:58.900 Palestinian freedom, no plan for Palestinian statehood, no plan for justice for the Palestinians 0.60

00:07:05.260 who have been massacred and starved and genocided and ethnically cleansed for the past

00:07:10.980 two years.

00:07:11.740 There is no peace in the Middle East because, as Dr. King said, peace is not just the absence

00:07:16.100 of violence, it is the presence of justice.

00:07:19.320 So these are dark times.

00:07:21.180 Genocide abroad.

00:07:22.500 Fascism at home.

00:07:23.880 Which is why it's so crucial that we gather, we organize, we rally like this.

00:07:27.880 We mobilize, we pluralize, we bring people into the tent.

00:07:31.720 We register voters.

00:07:33.060 We defend voters.

00:07:34.360 We become voters if we're not already.

00:07:36.260 I have hope.

00:07:37.260 I have faith that America can defeat this fascist threat, this authoritarian mania, this MAGA

00:07:44.900 cult and save our freedoms. 0.96

00:07:46.940 And I also have faith and hope that one day, one soon, the Palestinians will be free.

00:07:53.160 Progressive organizing group Indivisible, founded by husband and wife activists Ezra Levin and

00:07:59.720 Leah Greenberg, one of the key groups behind the day, reportedly receiving a $3 million grant

00:08:05.580 from, you guessed it, George Soros' Open Society Foundation.

00:08:10.480 Indivisible is the same group responsible for organizing the anti-Elon Musk, anti-Tesla

00:08:15.800 protests, and routinely orchestrating viral, rowdy moments at GOP town halls, as reported

00:08:22.400 by AM Update earlier this year.

00:08:25.060 Nomani's Pearl Project cataloging organizers of 265 mostly nonprofit organizations behind

00:08:32.640 No Kings Day.

00:08:34.560 Jennifer Pounds, known online as Data Republican, telling Nomani, quote, they call it No Kings,

00:08:39.900 but what they've built is an empire of tax-exempt organizations doing the Democratic Party's

00:08:44.900 work on the taxpayer's dime.

00:08:48.740 The Israel-Hamas ceasefire appearing to hold after a Sunday clash.

00:08:53.860 The U.S.-brokered truce, part of the White House's 20-point peace plan, announced earlier

00:08:58.200 this month, now entering its third week.

00:09:01.220 On Sunday morning, two Israeli soldiers killed and three wounded in an attack in Rafah, Israel

00:09:07.080 blaming Hamas for the attack, Hamas officials denying any involvement.

00:09:11.080 Israel launching a wave of retaliatory strikes across dozens of targets, Hamas officials

00:09:16.900 then accusing the Israelis of violating the agreement.

00:09:20.420 Following the strikes, the Israeli military releasing a statement, quote,

00:09:24.140 In accordance with the directive of the political echelon and after a series of significant strikes,

00:09:29.420 the IDF has begun renewed enforcement of the ceasefire following its violation by the Hamas

00:09:35.140 terror organization.

00:09:36.200 Amid the Israeli bombardment, a Hamas official announcing the discovery of another hostage's

00:09:42.500 remains.

00:09:43.540 Warning, escalating strikes by the Israelis could hinder the return of the body.

00:09:48.320 Twelve of the remaining 28 bodies have been returned so far, the complete return of all

00:09:53.360 hostages, a pillar of phase one of the deal.

00:09:57.160 Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and peace plan negotiator Jared Kushner reportedly set to arrive

00:10:02.760 in Israel today to begin negotiations on phase two of the peace deal.

00:10:07.520 Vice President J.D. Vance reportedly arriving tomorrow.

00:10:12.000 Coming up, a daring heist pulled off in broad daylight, four crooks making off with priceless

00:10:17.680 jewelry from one of the world's most famous museums, and former Congressman George Santos

00:10:23.480 is fresh out of prison thanks to President Trump.

00:10:26.420 Flu season always seems to sneak up on us.

00:10:37.160 to find the right medication.

00:11:27.000 Paris police hunting a crew of thieves behind a stunning Sunday morning heist at the Louvre

00:11:32.720 Museum.

00:11:33.920 At approximately 9.30 a.m.

00:11:35.920 Paris time, four suspects using a truck-mounted ladder to force themselves through a window,

00:11:42.300 then smashing display cases, stealing priceless royal jewels, and escaping on motorbikes.

00:11:47.740 That information coming from Paris prosecutor Laura Bicoux to French station BFM-TV.

00:11:55.020 The brazen act, carried out at the world's largest museum, home to the Mona Lisa, among

00:11:59.860 other priceless treasures, completed in just six to seven minutes.

00:12:04.640 No injuries were reported, the mass robbers appearing unarmed but threatening security with

00:12:09.640 angle grinder power tools, typically used for cutting, grinding, or sanding materials like

00:12:15.660 metal or concrete. In total, two jewel cases targeted in the Apollo Gallery, which houses

00:12:21.980 part of the French crown jewels. The team attempting to escape with nine objects, but losing the crown

00:12:28.500 of Napoleon III's wife in the process. Authorities recovering the crown containing more than 1,300

00:12:34.420 diamonds, but reported it was broken. The stolen jewels, including necklaces, earrings, and a bow

00:12:40.800 from the Napoleonic era. The museum closed in the wake of the robbery as investigators scour the scene

00:12:46.980 for evidence. Prosecutor Bicoux saying investigators are not ruling out any theories, noting the motive

00:12:53.960 could have been a commissioned theft for a collector, meaning there is a possibility the pieces could be

00:12:59.380 recovered intact, or they could be broken down by thieves only interested in the value of the stones

00:13:05.640 and metals. French President Emmanuel Macron posting on X, quote, the theft committed at the Louvre is an

00:13:12.040 attack on a heritage that we cherish because it is our history. We will recover the works and the

00:13:17.580 perpetrators will be brought to justice. The interior minister calling it, quote, a major robbery, saying the

00:13:23.720 Louvre's security, already strengthened in recent years, will be reinforced again amid an already planned

00:13:30.760 renovation project. President Trump on Friday commuting the sentence of former Republican U.S.

00:13:38.480 Congressman from New York, George Santos. Santos just 84 days into a more than seven-year prison

00:13:44.640 sentence after pleading guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft released from a New Jersey

00:13:50.580 federal prison late Friday night. Prosecutors accusing Santos of running multiple criminal schemes related to his

00:13:57.240 2022 congressional campaign, including falsifying campaign finance reports, stealing donor credit

00:14:03.900 card information to make unauthorized charges as well. In December 2023, with less than one year in

00:14:10.780 office, the congressman becoming just the sixth member in history to face expulsion from the House of

00:14:16.540 Representatives over the accusations. The congressman also embroiled in controversy over multiple accusations of

00:14:23.540 lying about his background, including an untrue story about earning a volleyball scholarship, falsely

00:14:30.000 claiming to have worked at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, and backing down from claims of being a, quote,

00:14:35.900 proud American Jew, saying he never claimed to be Jewish, but was, in fact, Jew-ish. President Trump

00:14:43.540 announcing the commutation on Truth Social, quote, George Santos was somewhat of a rogue, but there are many

00:14:49.240 rogues throughout our country that are not forced to serve seven years in prison.

00:14:53.540 Mr. Trump then comparing the case to that of Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal, who falsely claimed for

00:14:58.660 years to have served in Vietnam. The president then continuing, quote, this is far worse than what

00:15:04.180 George Santos did, and at least Santos had the courage, conviction, and intelligence to always vote

00:15:09.400 Republican. George has been in solitary confinement for long stretches of time, and by all accounts has

00:15:15.380 been horribly mistreated. Therefore, I just signed a commutation, releasing George Santos from prison

00:15:21.580 immediately. Good luck, George. Have a great life. The Washington Post reporting Mr. Santos was

00:15:27.400 transferred to solitary confinement because of, quote, a threat to his life that was later deemed

00:15:32.700 not viable by the FBI and the Bureau of Prisons investigative unit. Santos making the media rounds

00:15:39.360 first on Fox News. Thank you to President Trump for clemency and for having such an amazing will for

00:15:48.400 second chances. You know, I feel like it's justice served in a sense of, I've made some poor choices

00:15:54.760 in my life, but nothing would warrant a insane, arbitrary sentence. When I spoke to President Trump

00:16:01.020 yesterday, I told him my commitment would be to prison reform. Why shouldn't you have served out

00:16:05.940 your full term? Look, Charlie, I understand people want to make this into a, he's getting away with

00:16:12.660 it. Right. I'm not getting away with it. I was the first person to ever go to federal prison for this

00:16:18.700 type of civil FEC violation. These are usually solved in penalties, and I don't want to focus on

00:16:25.600 trying to rehash the past. I want to take this experience and do good and move on with the future.

00:16:30.200 CNN asking Santos if he's planning to mount a new bid for elected office.

00:16:35.860 Life is too short. I have been granted a second chance. I have made a very concise decision to

00:16:43.320 apply that for good and use that to make amends with my community, with my friends, with my family

00:16:49.900 and those who I have left a sour taste in their mouth and hopefully one day get my critics to at

00:16:55.560 least appreciate that I've turned around and done better with my life. This isn't about

00:16:59.800 you know, glitter stars and glam or going back to Congress. So it's, it's really not. This is a

00:17:06.240 very personal journey and road for me ahead. It is not going to be easy. It is. I am still a felon. I

00:17:12.460 still wear the scorn of my poor choices and my poor decisions. And I have to fight that myself.

00:17:21.260 Any future runs right now?

00:17:23.040 Not, not. I'm 37 years old. I can tell you this. Not that I can see if in the next decade,

00:17:27.960 I am, I'm all politicked out.

00:17:32.400 And that'll do it for your AM update. I'm Megan Kelly. Join me back here for the Megan Kelly show
