00:01:03.940 weekday at New East. Hey, everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show and happy
00:01:14.740 Columbus Day, or as you may call it, indigenous people. No, no one listening to this show calls 0.99
00:01:20.160 it that. We have so much goodness to get to today, including Democratic Senate candidate James
00:01:25.040 Tallarico casually reappearing on the campaign trail, going to some concerts 13 days after his
00:01:33.160 previous in-person event in the state of Texas. This just kind of took two weeks off
00:01:37.620 as we go into the last stretch of this campaign. That's all. This is not a big deal. Still says
00:01:45.480 it was just the flu, even though while he was under immense scrutiny for being out without
00:01:50.680 any word of where he was with the alleged flu. They couldn't even manage like a photo of him.
00:01:56.140 It's all very bizarre, but we'll tell you what we're learning because there is yet another new
00:02:01.520 twist. Plus the sex podcast lady is now speaking out about the Cornell eight, the Cornell eight
00:02:08.760 case. And some people don't like it. They're going to have to get used to it. Sorry. What's
00:02:14.520 good for the goose, she too has been accused of taking advantage of someone who, unlike her,
00:02:21.140 was physically helpless for at least a portion of her alleged sex acts with him. 0.98
00:02:28.360 She, the sex podcaster who wants you to give it to her anally on the first date, 0.59
00:02:33.380 now says she is Jane Doe. She's Jane Doe. Okay. More like Jane Ho. And Kelly Clarkson 0.97
00:02:41.740 is feuding with a Brooklyn store
00:02:44.180 over a $15,000 mechanical bird.
00:02:49.680 I know, but it's everywhere
00:02:51.820 and we have to discuss it.
00:02:53.480 Who better to do that with
00:02:54.540 than Emily Jashinski? 1.00

00:04:25.420 and Walgreens. Emily, welcome back. Great to see you. I'm very excited about the Kelly Clarkson
00:04:32.220 thing. We'll get to that in a second. How are you? I'm good. I'm also obsessed with
00:04:35.780 the Kelly Clarkson story. I'm obsessed with the bird. I'm obsessed with all of it happening in
00:04:39.160 Brooklyn. It's great. So I can't wait for that. Right. Right. OK, good. It's a little it's a
00:04:43.580 deep tease. We'll do that one second in our lineup. But we should start with the bizarre
00:04:49.440 sex podcaster now trying to, like, stake a claim in this story as though she's going to be the 1.00
00:04:57.020 avenger of women. I mean, honestly, if you could think of someone out there who was more responsible 1.00
00:05:05.460 than Alex Cooper, the sex podcast lady, for corrupting the minds of young women into thinking,
00:05:11.920 as Jane Doe did here, that giving it up to four guys in one night was empowerment, 1.00
00:05:17.700 I'd give you $1,000 on the spot. There's no other person. Alex Cooper's business
00:05:22.380 is to tell young women to spread their legs for anyone who wants it upon demand and that they'll
00:05:29.940 feel super empowered, STDs be damned. That's basically her message. She is raunchy and 0.92
00:05:37.100 absolutely classless. And now instead of at least having the decency to keep her disgusting mouth 1.00
00:05:45.300 shut over this case, she's decided to put some absurd person on who apparently teaches at Cornell 1.00
00:05:53.440 and is an expert in misogyny and in the empathy we feel when we see rapes, 1.00
00:06:03.320 that we as a sexist society feel empathy instead of sympathy for her.
00:06:10.320 Can you imagine ever booking such an absurd person and putting her on to talk about how 0.97
00:06:16.620 backward our society is because these evil me tours roaming college campuses and fraternities 0.51
00:06:23.940 nationwide. The sex podcaster wants fraternities shut down. Alex, that's where you can go for your 1.00
00:06:31.380 anal on demand. I don't know what your problem is. You should love fraternities if you think 0.99
00:06:36.260 they're so disgusting and raunchy at every turn. I don't know. She went to Boston University. Maybe 0.96
00:06:41.360 that's a comment on her university. I think most of us did not have that experience at university
00:06:46.220 where we had nothing but fraternities that wanted to rape women. 0.99
00:06:49.980 That wasn't a thing in my college experience.
00:06:53.560 But the gaslighting around this whole case continues
00:06:58.560 as some now are starting to quietly retreat because they've lost.
00:07:04.480 After we had, I was, you know,
00:07:07.540 our gang bang in the messages Jane Doe put out there
00:07:12.320 and our bodies, our choice.
00:07:15.540 you've got a different sect that's now quietly backing out of the story altogether because they
00:07:23.400 know the whole thing is a hoax. This is a made up claim. This woman wasn't gang raped. She was
00:07:31.360 promiscuous and made some bad decisions. And I feel sorry for her because she's a cutter and 0.97
00:07:37.240 has some emotional issues quite clearly, but that should not result in four to seven young men going
00:07:43.700 to jail for two decades. Okay, so lots of places we can take it to kick it off, but we're starting
00:07:49.400 on Cornell. Your thoughts, Anne? This is so much, and there's so many new developments to get to as
00:07:53.940 well. I mean, the Alex Cooper podcast is a remarkable artifact of fourth wave feminism
00:07:58.140 because her entire shtick is telling women that they can have sex like men, and this is two parts.
00:08:03.340 One, that you can do it, and two, that it will be empowering to you. So yes, physically, can you do 0.78
00:08:08.660 it. Two, is it going to be empowering to you? In the vast, vast majority of cases, no. And that is
00:08:14.840 part of why women are often traumatized, as Jane Doe very clearly was, by the sexual experience
00:08:21.940 that she was told by the same people who told Alex Cooper this lie that she now promotes everywhere,
00:08:27.340 that it will make you feel empowered, that you should be able to do it, and it will make you
00:08:32.040 feel empowered. And in the vast majority of cases, women can't do that. It is a chemical biological 1.00
00:08:36.860 fact. It's about oxytocin levels that are released after sex. Basically, this is not disputed science
00:08:42.100 whatsoever. But Cooper, as you mentioned, Megan, and I think I like Sexy Podcastly, we should just
00:08:47.080 abbreviate it to SPL. She's the one, the SPL is over here telling everybody that it's going to be 0.99
00:08:53.560 great, that you should do this and you will feel just fine. You will feel even more like a woman,
00:08:58.920 perhaps. And there's a really sad BuzzFeed article, I think it's back from 2019, with a rape victim
00:09:04.580 talking to BuzzFeed, and she has the most, like, chilling and depressing quote ever. She says,
00:09:09.100 HBO did a number on me. And it was an article about how Gen Z women were rejecting, quote,
00:09:14.580 unquote, sex positivity, because they felt like they were told that sex positivity would be
00:09:19.520 empowering to them. And then as they practiced what was being preached to them, and in some
00:09:23.460 cases preached by them, they found that it was painful. So, this entire episode of Call Her Daddy
00:09:28.800 was like the biggest display in lacking self-awareness that I have seen in years, to be
00:09:34.600 honest, because they say, and you probably heard this in the episode, the expert Kate Mann says,
00:09:39.320 we should be able to, you know, talk about risk factors. And she does that to only point the
00:09:43.740 finger at the existence of fraternities, rather than saying, we should talk about risk factors 0.96
00:09:48.800 for women as well. And lastly, Megan, Alex Cooper opens it by saying, we're a decade since Me Too.
00:09:54.780 It's been a decade since Me Too, and we're still here. Again, a lack of self-awareness,
00:09:58.480 Because part of the reason we're still here is that Me Too started on something that was really legitimately about cases where women were shamed out of and intimidated out of reporting awful, sometimes violent rapes that had happened to them.
00:10:11.380 And then it ballooned into the Aziz Ansari bad date case. And that did hurt the credibility of women who have horrible, violent experiences. So it's actually the very reason that we're still here. I mean, the whole thing, again, it's just an artifact of fourth wave feminism. It's incredible. And there's no self-awareness to go around.
00:10:28.480 honestly it's i don't want to hear any lectures from alex cooper about the me too movement where
00:10:34.400 were you you were 22 years old at the time you were creating a platform desperate to create a
00:10:38.540 platform for yourself what did you say you said nothing like it's ridiculous uh there are so many
00:10:43.500 people out there wannabe celebrities uh who are want to take credit for the me too movement uh
00:10:49.480 wasn't like alissa milano she was out there saying oh she coined the phrase me too right 0.91
00:10:54.500 but she never fucking came forward with anything she was never brave enough to stand up and tell 1.00
00:10:58.220 a story. I remember Rose McGowan threw her under the bus because she wanted all this glory for 1.00
00:11:04.260 having like coined a phrase. Where were you? Rose McGowan actually gave her name on Harvey and took 0.98
00:11:09.920 a risk. She did nothing. Alex Cooper, you did nothing. Oh, you're so exasperated about where 0.69
00:11:14.660 the Me Too movement. What did you do? Did you stand up against anybody? Did you tell, did you
00:11:18.920 come out publicly? Okay. Now, now you want us to know you went to be you and something happened
00:11:23.680 to you. Okay, great. You've done nothing other than endanger other young women. That's how you've
00:11:28.560 spent your career. You are endangering vulnerable young women. My young woman would never listen to 0.95
00:11:35.520 her. My young woman, who I'm raising in my home, knows a slut with zero values when she sees one, 1.00
00:11:42.480 but she's endangering other young girls who think this is female empowerment, and she doesn't care. 0.97
00:11:47.400 Let me let me just give you a soundbite from Alex Cooper's show from 2018.
00:11:52.560 OK, listen to this.
00:11:53.920 Stop 16.
00:11:55.200 Compared to a five and a six. 1.00
00:11:57.780 If you are a five or a six, get your squats in today, bitch. 1.00
00:12:01.880 Get on top and ride that thing like you've never done before. 1.00
00:12:04.960 You are getting slammed into the wall. 0.98
00:12:07.900 You are saying horrible, disgusting, filthy things to get this guy off. 1.00
00:12:13.020 you're going in overdrive over time putting out all the stops saying fucking porn star shit 1.00
00:12:20.080 absolutely come on the face and make it fucking rain baby i'm just putting it out there i'm being 1.00
00:12:27.020 honest or if you're a nine or a ten a guy knows he's gotta roll out the red fucking carpet he's 0.99
00:12:34.740 gotta be ready because he knows you're not just gonna spread your legs and be like here we go 0.98
00:12:40.480 baby let's do the damn thing but also on that same note if you're a nine or a ten you feel and 0.96
00:12:45.760 i think a lot of times you do just lay their leg spread starfish have fun dead fish in the sea you 1.00
00:12:52.000 know put it in me baby that's alex cooper the there isn't a classy bone in that woman's body 1.00
00:13:00.620 she's encouraging women who she thinks rate as a five or a six on the looks scale you could hear 1.00
00:13:07.300 there, her advice for them. This is today's modern feminist, empathetic. What happened? 1.00
00:13:13.120 Why are women being treated this way with this idiot professor at Cornell, both of whom are 1.00
00:13:20.040 playing along like they care about what happens to young women on college campuses? What these 1.00
00:13:28.460 two women want them to do is spread the legs and give it up to anybody. And if they rate as a five 1.00
00:13:34.760 or a six on the look scale to let some dude shoot it all over their face, gratefully.
00:13:40.380 That's Alex Cooper. That's her brand. That's how she became a multimillionaire. So she can shut 1.00
00:13:47.260 the fuck up when it comes to advising young women dealing with issues on college campuses 1.00
00:13:53.540 that she helped create, that she is helping to create to this day with being enabled by the 0.99
00:14:01.200 so-called celebrities who go on that podcast and pretend she's a normal messenger instead of a
00:14:07.380 devil, a devil in a blonde wig trying to get young women in trouble. That's the house call her daddy 0.99
00:14:13.220 is built on. Exactly what everybody just heard. There are so many more clips that you could play
00:14:17.160 that are just like that one. And what's so sad, it just hurts your heart to listen to that because
00:14:22.120 the reason Alex Cooper is making fun of these fives and sixes, whatever, who are so eager versus
00:14:27.300 the nines and tens who are less eager to please the man is that the fives and the sixes are the
00:14:32.600 ones that really want to be liked by the man. And that just hurts your heart to hear because that
00:14:36.580 is exactly why her advice about sex is bad and wrong. It's because women do sometimes see sex 1.00
00:14:43.040 as a way to feel affirmed by men. Women who feel like they're going to have a hard time getting 0.99
00:14:48.120 married and finding the right person will use sex as a way because they think it means that the man 0.98
00:14:52.560 really wants to be intimate with them, especially young women whose brains aren't fully formed
00:14:56.340 and are not quite adult women. I mean, they're adults, but they're not quite, again, their brains 1.00
00:15:01.320 aren't fully formed. And so it's easy to kind of rationalize it. If we have sex, then of course
00:15:05.660 we have this level of intimacy. It means he wants me. And that advice from Alex Cooper is so
00:15:10.680 internally incoherent for that exact reason. And it is so, so profoundly sad. Over that interview,
00:15:16.340 they say multiple times, if a woman is raped, 100% of the fault is with the rapist and 0% is
00:15:22.640 with the person who was raped. We can all agree with that. Everyone agrees with that. What nobody 1.00
00:15:26.320 has consensus on is whether someone who, to the police in a sworn statement,
00:15:31.420 described something that showed consent every step of the way was actually raped. That is what
00:15:38.280 the disagreement is on. And what they're trying to do and what they're trying to convince other
00:15:41.540 women people disagree with them on is that they're acting like people are actually supportive of
00:15:46.300 rapists. No, people don't agree that this is a proper legal definition of rape that should 1.00
00:15:52.160 justify people losing 20 years of their life to prison, losing their entire reputation, all of
00:15:57.360 that. That's what the disagreement is on. And they're, I think, honestly, too ignorant to even
00:16:01.020 understand or wrap their heads around that. There is only one relevant legal question in 0.98
00:16:07.580 this case now. She's not alleging anybody held her down and had sex with her against her will. 1.00
00:16:12.320 She's alleging that because she consumed so many drugs and so much alcohol, she was incapacitated.
00:16:18.140 it. Well, the standard is physical helplessness. That is the only way that this could have been
00:16:24.480 transformed into a rape. Literally, this is not Megyn Kelly's opinion. This is the legal reality.
00:16:29.920 It's a good legal reality. Sunny Hauston and I agree on this. She has to prove a DA would have
00:16:36.160 to prove that Jane Doe was physically helpless, that the intoxication had crossed her over to a
00:16:41.560 place where she was physically helpless. The case law interpreting that legal standard has said
00:16:48.000 That means unconscious. OK, go look it up. I'm sick of having to educate these absolute know nothing female warriors. It means you are unconscious. That's what physical helplessness is. Jane Doe does not even allege that Jane Doe's testimonial to this police in the six pages gives you an intimate play by play of the entire seven hours where she made decisions. Yes to this. No to that. Yes to this. No to that.
00:17:15.720 this guy came in, this guy left, I opened the door, I texted a friend, I got up, I moved here.
00:17:20.580 The whole night, the whole night, refusing acts all the way up to the wee hours of the morning
00:17:25.560 when she claims she was eight out of 10 intoxicated. A fact we know because she remembers it while she
00:17:30.400 was awake and conscious and dealing with these men. I'm sorry she doesn't have it, okay? I'm
00:17:34.500 sorry she doesn't have it. It's a legal matter. I don't give a shit about people's feelings. I
00:17:39.260 really don't. I don't care about their emotions. I couldn't care fucking less. I'm a lawyer. I think
00:17:44.140 about this from a legal perspective, trying to lock people up for decades. The standard is
00:17:48.860 physical helplessness. Look it up. That's why Kathy Hochul and others now want to change the law
00:17:54.480 because the law is not on her side. It's not on the side of any woman who voluntarily 1.00
00:17:58.600 gets blottoed and then wants to have a Sunday morning regret about whether she should have
00:18:04.300 given it up. Sorry, you've placed yourself in a very precarious position. But instead of saying
00:18:09.840 any of that, what we have is hympathy. Here's this ridiculous Kate Mann on the Sex Podcaster 0.99
00:18:18.220 show in Sat 12. So hympathy is my word for the scenarios where we have sympathy and loyalty 0.71
00:18:26.400 for a male perpetrator of misogyny over a female victim. So basically, we feel bad for him who did
00:18:34.760 the thing that is awful over someone who is the victim of that harmful behavior. So I've spent
00:18:42.380 so much of my academic career trying to understand misogyny as not hatred in boys' hearts,
00:18:49.240 but rather as a social system that punishes and enforces patriarchal norms and expectations 0.99
00:18:56.100 by visiting women with so much shit, so much hostility, so much hatred when we don't stay 0.99
00:19:03.320 in our lane. But the flip side of misogyny is just as women get punished, men get rewarded. 1.00
00:19:10.080 So whenever you have these social systems where you have punishment and blame and holding women
00:19:17.680 responsible for their behavior, even when they're really doing nothing wrong, you're going to have
00:19:22.780 this flip side, which is rewarding and lionizing and even celebrating him for engaging in this
00:19:29.940 punitive and misogynistic behavior no one is doing that two men got expelled the others who
00:19:40.580 had an actual sexual interlude with her got suspended for years in some cases this is an
00:19:47.280 absurdity they are pretending as though this were um what was the name of that jodie foster movie
00:19:54.420 Was it The Accused? Back in the day where they literally held her up against a pinball machine and forcibly raped her character in this very disturbing movie.
00:20:06.320 That is not even arguably what happened here.
00:20:10.100 They are talking about her like she was grabbed from the street, held down and forcibly raped, as opposed to our bodies, our choices.
00:20:19.900 We're all just consenting adults here. 0.99
00:20:22.220 People are calling me a slut. 0.98
00:20:23.880 Unfortunately, it's true. 0.99
00:20:25.620 I love you, John.
00:20:27.620 I love you, Matt.
00:20:28.740 And I really enjoyed my time with both of you.
00:20:30.980 As if none of that happened, which if you watch the sex podcaster show is what you would believe.
00:20:37.820 We watched the whole thing.
00:20:39.700 She did not tell the audience any of the mitigating facts.
00:20:44.280 I was just going to say that she does not describe any of what we know happened from that room.
00:20:49.000 Even the redacted Title IX papers that have come out, you can see that there are things called undisputed facts in the Title IX report. And you can see there are a lot of things that the investigators all agreed on, including, by the way, that sworn statement that was agreed to, as you've pointed out, by Jane Doe herself. By Jane Doe herself. She marked it up. It went from like 120 pages to six.
00:21:10.280 And they make a big deal in this episode of Call Her Daddy of the fact that they left out the claim from her that she could say with 100% confidence that she was raped.
00:21:19.480 And they're like, oh, this is a conspiracy because the Cornell University Police Department wants to protect Cornell University.
00:21:24.460 First of all, I don't dispute that that's somewhat of a problem in the setup when you have these police departments attached to the universities.
00:21:29.840 But secondly, they did it with her agreement because what she went on to describe was consent every step of the way and not because of a quote unquote loophole, but because we have to have legal standards where people are intoxicated and having sex and then not able to turn around and say that there was rape involved.
00:21:49.080 That is exactly why that law exists. As you just outlined, other states that have closed the quote unquote voluntary intoxication loophole still have laws that are just like New York's where you have to be physically helpless.
00:21:59.660 So even if they closed the loophole, even if they closed the loophole, they wouldn't be able to say much in this case because, again, she agrees in that sworn statement.
00:22:08.260 What she describes is consent every step of the way, every step of the way.
00:22:12.940 And they don't talk about that at all on this episode of Call Her Daddy.
00:22:16.160 So you would have zero idea what the actual facts of the case are.
00:22:19.860 Zero.
00:22:20.360 If this was your source of information on it.
00:22:23.220 Absolutely not.
00:22:23.960 Because, I mean, let's face it. 1.00
00:22:24.980 This woman is an idiot. 1.00
00:22:25.840 She made her money off of talking dirty on her show to ultimately millions. 1.00
00:22:31.040 That's, I mean, she's basically like some sort of dressed up prostitute. 1.00
00:22:34.620 She talks dirty to you for money. 1.00
00:22:37.120 That's really what she does for a living. 1.00
00:22:38.640 She decides to go R-rated, X-rated, and she's all but like, you know, jerking off the audience 1.00
00:22:45.500 while she talks about disgusting sex acts. 1.00
00:22:48.100 And this has made her millions of dollars. 0.99
00:22:50.060 You do you.
00:22:50.800 You know, that's great.
00:22:52.080 Good for you. 1.00
00:22:52.600 Your leftist cult will call you a sex worker in order to dress up what looks to me like you're being a paid whore. 1.00
00:22:59.000 You're a whore. 1.00
00:23:00.040 That's how you've just chosen to make your money. 1.00
00:23:01.980 But how dare you take the high ground when it comes to the position that young women on college campuses are in? 0.99
00:23:07.880 You have endangered them all. 0.50
00:23:09.560 And not just the college age ones. 1.00
00:23:12.520 Listen to this prostitute. 1.00
00:23:15.240 That's what she is, in my opinion. 1.00
00:23:17.120 Alex Cooper talking to who she believes is her 11-year-old listener.
00:23:23.360 Okay, as a viewer warning, this is disturbing, Sat 18.
00:23:26.680 Listen here.
00:23:27.060 I just talked to you about the Gluck Gluck, and I want all of you to research it.
00:23:30.680 Even if, well, we actually kind of just found out that an 11-year-old listens to our podcast.
00:23:36.120 So I want to give you a shout out because, baby girl, please don't do anything we're talking about.
00:23:41.860 I know you're just getting ready. 0.99
00:23:43.660 You're preparing for the race that's going to come in 20 years. 0.99
00:23:47.300 Yeah, once you're 18, listen. 0.97
00:23:49.880 We're like 17-year-olds, don't listen.
00:23:52.460 And then we just found out an 11-year-old listened. 0.99
00:23:54.240 So I love you and you're honestly the shit, but just, you know, like abstain a little bit longer. 1.00
00:23:59.820 You're getting ready. 0.99
00:24:00.880 And I'm sorry, this is disturbing, but this is what she had just said on the show when she said,
00:24:07.480 okay, baby doll, you're just getting ready.
00:24:09.500 Getting ready for this, Sat 17. 0.99
00:24:11.140 the motherfucking gluck gluck three thousand slash nine thousand the gluck gluck three thousand 0.97
00:24:20.800 nine thousand is every man's kryptonite i will give you the little definition of this gluck gluck 0.98
00:24:29.140 it is a vacuum seal double hand twist gawk gawk combo oh my god i'm sorry i swear i'm not degrading 0.95
00:24:37.440 women i'm just giving you guys tips here because i swear it works okay in 24 hours post blow job 0.90
00:24:43.760 you will know if you are a 9 000 performer or if you're a 3 000 performer oh and ladies i'll let
00:24:49.540 you research a little bit and if you guys want to write in let me know if you want me to actually
00:24:52.560 go into more detail you can let me know but i know my dad listens so hi dad whatever if you 1.00
00:24:57.340 are not sucking your man's dick, that's fine. 100% your decision. I respect it. I understand 1.00
00:25:08.340 it. However, if you are not, somebody else is. It's disgusting to me that we have any place for
00:25:19.280 this person in polite society or in actual conversations about life and love and sex, 0.97
00:25:25.820 But that's America. There are some disgusting people who want to listen to that filthy mouth talk like that in front of 11 year olds. Fucking A. It's disgusting, but they'll have to deal with that in their Sunday pew. I hope eventually they'll get there. 1.00
00:25:40.360 But that woman is now turning around as the avenger of women, Emily, and talking to Mr. 0.59
00:25:48.100 Ms. Empathy as though those two are going to get to the bottom of how this happened. 0.95
00:25:55.360 Here's a little hint.
00:25:56.820 It's all the fault of the evil men and boys. 1.00
00:26:00.140 You heard the woman demonize boys, too.
00:26:02.260 It's the boys. 1.00
00:26:03.220 it infuriates me as the mother of two sons and an empowered daughter who would never listen to 1.00
00:26:10.440 that show nor allow herself to be in that situation how dare she try to rope my boys 1.00
00:26:15.800 and other women's boys into her perverse world as disgusting perverted rapists when she the sex 1.00
00:26:24.640 podcaster has been training women from the and girls from the age of 11 how to do the glug glug 1.00
00:26:30.640 as soon as they get to college campuses like Cornell. 0.99
00:26:34.000 She is one of these like raunchy women 1.00
00:26:36.620 that is always going to exist that is not average. 1.00
00:26:39.800 She is like actually on the fringe and an outlier, 0.99
00:26:42.160 but because our society wants to take the fringe 0.97
00:26:44.360 and bring it into the mainstream,
00:26:45.720 she has been really celebrated.
00:26:47.120 So much so that the presidential candidate in 2024,
00:26:50.760 her big move to win over podcast audiences 1.00
00:26:54.140 was to go on, call her daddy.
00:26:56.080 By the way, Hillary Clinton back in 2016
00:26:57.700 went on Broad City.
00:26:59.520 I love Broad City.
00:27:00.260 Should Hillary Clinton have gone on Broad City? Obviously not. It was stupid, completely stupid,
00:27:04.800 but it's because it's part of this effort to normalize this weird behavior from people like 1.00
00:27:12.320 Alex Cooper, who are not the average woman, but because she handles sex differently than most
00:27:18.900 women do, or at least she's convinced herself she can handle sex differently than most women do, 0.99
00:27:23.080 because it kind of conforms to the feminist, fourth wave feminist narrative about what's 1.00
00:27:28.120 empowering to women. She has been absolutely lionized, normalized, and mainstreamed. And this
00:27:34.580 does not belong in the mainstream because it is really dangerous for women, Megan. And I think
00:27:39.300 your point here is really well taken, that this is something that should be marginalized. She
00:27:44.060 should be enormously stigmatized. If she wants to do her thing, fine, do it on the fringes. It's 1.00
00:27:49.700 your freedom. You can do it in the United States. But this should be stigmatized as dangerous because
00:27:54.180 it does put women in situations that they are going to hate when it's over. Like that woman, 1.00
00:28:00.760 a rape victim who spoke to BuzzFeed, who said HBO really did a number on me 10 years from now,
00:28:04.960 they're going to be women who say, call her daddy really did a number on me because they ended up
00:28:08.940 in sexual situations that caused them trauma and pain. Now she's got tens of millions of dollars 1.00
00:28:14.400 and Jane Doe doesn't. Jane Doe doesn't. She's trying to get it. She's trying to get it from 0.99
00:28:20.180 Cornell and Tridelt and these guys now, but the point is she's not going to be around. She's not
00:28:24.940 going to be able to help you when you make decisions like Jane Doe made, and then you
00:28:29.840 wind up feeling disgusting about yourself. This woman will have no time for you. You will not be 1.00
00:28:35.020 discussed, the average woman on her podcast. The only reason she came up now is because the story 0.99
00:28:39.720 has been dominating the media, and she must feel some responsibility because she's set this sickness 1.00
00:28:45.660 upon God knows how many young women heading off to college 1.00
00:28:50.060 who think this is what it means to be sexy, 1.00
00:28:53.680 to be empowered.
00:28:55.060 Whereas most of us know true empowerment
00:28:58.240 and true sex appeal means you do exactly the opposite
00:29:01.960 of what Alex Cooper advises.
00:29:04.480 You keep your legs together, you have dignity,
00:29:08.120 you fall in love, 0.62
00:29:09.100 and then you have a meaningful sexual relationship,
00:29:12.020 which is totally fine to do the sex acts
00:29:14.920 that appeal to you in the midst of,
00:29:17.280 but you don't run around generally bragging about it
00:29:19.760 on sex podcasts, outing the intimate details
00:29:22.860 of your partner's body up and down
00:29:24.920 and exactly how you did X and Y and Z
00:29:27.220 because those are intimate acts.
00:29:29.900 Actually, as a Christian,
00:29:31.200 that's not something you would ever consider sharing
00:29:33.160 outside the sanctity of your marriage.
00:29:35.220 And because you realize some things are private
00:29:37.260 and you have some modicum of class inside of you
00:29:40.420 that you realize there is a world of privacy
00:29:43.020 And sex and sexual relations is right on top of that.
00:29:46.540 That's exactly where privacy belongs between you and the man you love. 1.00
00:29:49.620 Even carrying a baby hasn't softened her, hasn't cleaned up that filthy mouth. 1.00
00:29:54.740 She is a disgusting pig. 1.00
00:29:56.400 That's what I have to say about this person. 1.00
00:29:58.760 I'll play one more. 1.00
00:30:00.120 This is her trying to claim, you know, she's the champion of women on her show with this 1.00
00:30:04.020 ridiculous person from Cornell in SOT 14. 0.66
00:30:06.700 When we talk about the trauma of a woman, I think it makes sense to so many women when 1.00
00:30:11.120 we hear like of course you don't wake up the next morning and you say this is what happened and this
00:30:17.060 is what i need to do there is something in your body that is trying to not only survive what you
00:30:23.180 just physically went through mentally also what you're going through but emotionally being on a
00:30:28.840 campus where the humiliation and you know what could come with it like there's so much that we 0.98
00:30:35.960 will never be able to understand what this woman slowly started to unpack the day after the three 1.00
00:30:43.940 days later the week after of starting to put together truly as her brain and her body became 0.51
00:30:50.680 a little bit more lucid to her reality it makes me emotional thinking about her she doesn't know
00:31:00.600 anything. This person is too stupid to have a microphone in front of her. She has no idea that 1.00
00:31:06.880 Jane Doe gave facts. She gave facts. That's what damned her. It actually wasn't all the emails of 0.98
00:31:15.400 her saying, I'm a slut and I love you, my rapist, and I'm eager to return to Kifi. That actually 1.00
00:31:21.100 wasn't it. The DA didn't even necessarily look at any of that. Not that we know of. He certainly
00:31:25.420 didn't cite any of it in his memo explaining his non-charging decision. It was her sworn
00:31:31.500 under penalties of perjury. You fucking idiots under penalties of perjury. She swore to the 1.00
00:31:39.160 play by play of what happened when she was alleging rape, when she had switched to it was a
00:31:47.020 rape. That version of her sat down and under penalties of perjury swore out the tick tock 0.97
00:31:53.140 of the entire evening, which is what sank her case. 1.00
00:31:57.560 I can't stand stupid people, Emily Jashinsky. 1.00
00:32:00.960 I really can't. 1.00
00:32:02.380 I really, like, I have so little tolerance 1.00
00:32:04.940 for absolute morons and they're everywhere. 1.00
00:32:07.860 It's one of my great frustrations in life. 1.00
00:32:09.640 I genuinely hope the next time I come back, 1.00
00:32:11.620 it's as somebody who's a complete idiot. 1.00
00:32:13.840 I really do. 1.00
00:32:14.660 I think my life will be happier.
00:32:16.220 I'll be less angry.
00:32:18.240 Like, Ari Emanuel wants us to embrace our rage.
00:32:21.300 rage. I'm not sure. I guess I'm there. But I just the fact that she is that dumb and has that much
00:32:29.680 influence is genuinely dangerous. What she says is legitimately, genuinely, physically, literally 0.99
00:32:36.180 dangerous for women. Like absolutely no question is. And if it's fair game to talk about whether
00:32:40.500 or not it's prudential for women to go into frat houses, which Alex Cooper's expert Cornell guest
00:32:45.600 said, that's fair game to talk about. Then it's fair game also to suggest to women they're not
00:32:50.160 going to be able to have sex like men, despite what Alex Cooper tells you. And there's a critical
00:32:55.040 piece of the timeline that you were just going through, which is when Jane Doe gives that sworn
00:32:59.260 statement to the police. And they're now saying, oh, she wasn't, there's no evidence. She talked
00:33:04.160 to a trauma-involved or a trauma-trained investigator. That's what they talked about
00:33:08.380 on this episode of Call Her Die, all of that. But she's there. She talks to them for hours and hours
00:33:13.000 and hours. She agrees to the six-page sworn statement, truncating it from about, I think
00:33:16.780 it was 120 pages. And she marks it up and then signs off on the final version. What is so
00:33:22.580 important about it is that happened after, after, according to Alex Cooper, she had dealt with and
00:33:30.080 coped with all of this by fawning over the men. This is what the guest Kate Mann says is a typical
00:33:36.500 thing that victims sometimes do is they fawn over the man. And by the way, I don't disagree with
00:33:40.480 that. They're trying to convince themselves that maybe something was totally consensual,
00:33:45.120 that they were empowered. I'm sure psychologically that does happen to some women who are real 0.95
00:33:49.940 victims of actual sexual assault and rape. But after all of that, let's take their own argument
00:33:55.380 at face value. After all of that, she then, after all of these text messages, after she flips when
00:34:00.260 she's disinvited from the Halloween party, she then goes to the police. And even still, what
00:34:04.340 she describes is consensual the entire time. That's the problem. It's the disconnect between
00:34:09.600 what she was told by her friends to believe was rape and what she was describing in a sworn
00:34:14.520 statement to police and there's nothing you can do about that evidence which was given after she
00:34:19.300 herself flipped it's there it's a sworn statement to the police and you don't get to lock people up
00:34:23.640 i don't know with 100 certainty what happened in that room i don't know that we're not still
00:34:27.140 missing facts but you don't get to lock people up when that is the evidence you don't get to
00:34:31.440 smear people as rapists in court in the legal system and in the media when that is the evidence
00:34:36.060 that exists. It's just, I mean, the extrapolating this to demonize young men in America is what's
00:34:45.860 driving me insane. I mean, it's truly what's making me so angry. I don't really give a shit
00:34:52.280 about what happened in that room between the Cornell eight, but I do care about it being 0.97
00:34:57.440 used as a narrative to further demonize young American boys. It's disgusting. It's a filthy, 0.96
00:35:06.580 disgusting, immoral thing to do. Okay. Because these young men in that room may not have been 0.96
00:35:12.820 at the peak of their morality. Nobody would argue the opposite. However, however, what the evidence
00:35:19.540 has shown us is that the woman they were with was saying things like, we're all consenting adults
00:35:26.100 here, that she was the aggressor, even on the last two men with whom she had sex. Both of them
00:35:32.880 testified in these proceedings that she was the initiator, that Winston Lee, who was the last one
00:35:38.060 to have sex with her, said, hey, we don't have to do this at all. He wasn't expecting sex with this
00:35:41.980 woman. And she said, hey, we're all consenting adults here and wanted wanted him to get on top 0.91
00:35:47.340 of her, which then he did to paint all of these young men as though they are the guys in the movie.
00:35:53.160 the accused, is so wrong. And then you get the think pieces about how this is what young men
00:35:59.240 are. We need to abolish all fraternities. This is an endemic problem with over a one-third rape
00:36:07.820 rate at Cornell and other colleges. Putting young men in the position of now they have to walk
00:36:13.620 around being viewed as active predators, just looking for their next rape victim, when the
00:36:19.500 reality is 99% of them would have wanted nothing to do with Jane Doe. Nothing. 99% of men don't
00:36:27.000 seek after some slut who gives it up so easily by her own admission. They certainly don't want 1.00
00:36:33.200 a woman who prides herself on her bodybuilding. She looks more butch than your average man. I'm 1.00
00:36:39.080 just telling you the truth because no one will talk about what Jane Doe actually looks like,
00:36:44.460 who Jane Doe actually is.
00:36:47.220 Suffice it to say,
00:36:48.200 we're not looking at a Kaya Gerber. 0.58
00:36:50.020 Again, I'm not trying to be
00:36:51.000 physically insulting of the woman.
00:36:52.300 I'm giving it to you straight. 1.00
00:36:53.740 I guarantee you this woman 1.00
00:36:54.880 did not have an easy time 1.00
00:36:56.300 attracting men.
00:36:57.600 And now suddenly she's in the midst
00:36:59.300 of this Cornell fraternity house
00:37:01.180 and man after man
00:37:02.420 is expressing interest in her
00:37:04.100 and she's been led to believe
00:37:05.520 that's a substitute for actual
00:37:07.720 attention, affection,
00:37:09.900 even possible love,
00:37:11.220 in the case of the first two
00:37:12.220 who she says she loves,
00:37:13.240 by people like Alex Cooper. That's how we got here, in my opinion.
00:37:17.980 Well, Alex Cooper is telling young men that this is what young women want and that this is what
00:37:21.460 empowers young women. Alex Cooper is telling men that those clips go viral on TikTok. That's what
00:37:27.120 young men are seeing that young women want. So, of course, for some of these young men who acted
00:37:32.520 disgustingly, they thought, oh, OK, this is perfectly normal. This should be normal. As
00:37:38.100 Jane Doe herself said, people are going to have to get used to this stuff because it's becoming
00:37:41.320 more normal. You could take that right from an episode of Call Her Daddy. You would take it right
00:37:45.340 from an episode of Call Her Daddy. And the last thing I wanted to say, Megan, is just that people
00:37:48.540 don't understand if you are needlessly doing this where there is not evidence, not sufficient
00:37:53.480 evidence. If you're needlessly doing this, what you are going to do is send a chunk of young men
00:37:57.420 further into resentment politics and further into disillusionment and further into feeling like the
00:38:02.620 system is stacked and rigged against them because sometimes it is. And that, if you are mad about
00:38:07.420 resentful young the politics of resentful young men you are making the problem 10 times worse
00:38:11.800 10 times worse by needlessly stoking sex divisions in cases like this and honestly who do they have
00:38:18.400 standing up for that right now right because you've got you've got aoc you've got kathy
00:38:23.680 hochel out there letitia james throwing them under the bus where are the male politicians 1.00
00:38:28.940 standing up for them because this has become a political football right before the midterms
00:38:32.340 Honestly, where are they? Because what I see is some people in the podcast land and some people on X and like two people on Fox who are standing up for you don't have to stand up for the morality of what these men did, but you can stand up for the legality of it.
00:38:48.960 given Jane Doe's sworn testimonial. And they're not getting that. What they're getting is a swarm
00:38:55.560 of Democrat politicians and pundits throwing them under the bus, ignoring Jane Doe's sworn
00:39:00.840 statement, and then taking their pens out to demonize men writ large. Because that's all the
00:39:06.560 rage in Democrat politics. It's one of the reasons why many of us refuse to call ourselves feminists 1.00
00:39:11.440 and have for decades, because it means in their weird leftist world, you have to hate men. The 0.95
00:39:17.380 knee-jerk instinct, even when you are clearly at fault as a woman, is to blame the men for all
00:39:23.160 your problems. And that was on full display in this disgusting, pathetic excuse for a podcast 0.99
00:39:29.420 over the weekend with this Cornell guest. All right. Now, the media has been enabling, 0.98
00:39:35.440 sniveling, and as disgusting as ever. And on Friday, Em, you remember this, I said when those
00:39:44.040 new text messages came out via TMZ showing that there was more to the exchange in which she said
00:39:50.440 nothing illegal. At the end of the day, nothing illegal happened with the sex. There was nothing
00:39:55.300 illegal about the sex. She said that. And TMZ broke the news that that text message went on
00:40:00.700 to show her calling it, her, the victim, calling it our gangbang and then going on to say our
00:40:07.700 bodies, our choice. And I said, I find this very problematic that the New York Times, which clearly
00:40:14.800 had these messages, only published part of the messages and clearly had this second part and did
00:40:20.900 not publish it. And it was also CBS New York. And I said on the air, I want to know why. Why?
00:40:28.100 Were they not given the full text message or was it an editorial decision to not tell the world
00:40:33.660 that they had seen in the text messages the alleged victim here referred to her own gang
00:40:38.640 rape as a gang bang and said, our bodies, our choice. And you tweeted it out. That's how I
00:40:46.460 learned it later Friday, that the Federalist actually went to CBS New York and found the
00:40:52.960 answer. They sure did. They asked CBS New York for comment, asked the New York Times for comment.
00:40:58.120 Did it get comment back from the New York Times, which is quite interesting. But CBS New York said
00:41:02.380 that that was an intentional editorial decision. They did include in their initial report her
00:41:08.040 saying none of the sex stuff was illegal, which is an important line. And if they had left that
00:41:12.100 out, I mean, it would be enormously egregious. But to leave out her then affirming, doubling down,
00:41:18.680 saying our body, our choice, wrapping this in feminist language, intentionally wrapping this
00:41:23.420 in feminist language and referring to what she is now calling a gang rape, a gang bang in a somewhat
00:41:29.340 jocular tone, to leave all of that out is leaving serious context on the table. They're standing by
00:41:34.600 that decision. They're defending that decision. And Megan, I think it makes a point that you've
00:41:38.060 been making, or it underscores a point you've been making, which is that some of these media
00:41:40.860 outlets are clearly getting selective leaks from Jane Doe's legal team, and they're being coached
00:41:48.100 and shaped. The stories are being actually strategically shaped by the legal team.
00:41:52.860 And allowing themselves.
00:41:53.360 Exactly. Yep.
00:41:55.080 Which is disgusting. That is such a dereliction of duty. How pathetic are you,
00:41:58.960 CBS New York. And you too, New York Times, how pathetic are you? You're allowing yourself to be 1.00
00:42:03.920 manipulated by Jane Doe's lawyer so he can set up his fake rape case against these young men.
00:42:10.360 This is a hoax. This did not happen. There was no rape, period. There wasn't. She's given it up.
00:42:17.140 I don't have to believe one word from the young men. I believe Jane Doe. Jane Doe, I believe you.
00:42:22.160 Hashtag believe all women. I do. I believe every word you gave to the DA and to the Cornell police
00:42:28.240 officer. And it proves you weren't physically helpless, which means you weren't raped under
00:42:32.740 New York law. But the New York Times, because we reached out to them too, and we have a relationship
00:42:37.400 with the Times, as much criticism as we do of the Times, we have a line to them. And we also
00:42:44.140 submitted a request to them to clarify, did you have the full text message on Friday? And then
00:42:49.560 we reached out again over the weekend and they blew us off. They are not responding, which means
00:42:54.460 they did. That's what that means. If they didn't, I believe fully they would have told me. They
00:43:00.500 would have said we didn't have it. The fact that they are not giving us an answer tells me that
00:43:04.800 they did. They saw it and they must have had another reason, i.e. keeping the plaintiff's
00:43:09.660 lawyer happy. This guy's on a money grab. He's no avenger of women. He's got his palm out. He
00:43:16.100 wants one third of the judgment he thinks he can squeeze out of Cornell, which is scared shitless
00:43:21.180 right now, not to mention Tridelt. And a couple of these boys have money. One's got some rich dad
00:43:26.800 or granddad in South Korea and one's from Dubai, et cetera. So this guy's got his hand out. And
00:43:32.660 what CBS New York said gives it up because this is what they wrote when the Federalist
00:43:37.220 reached out to them. They said, okay, yes, our reporter reviewed the full text exchange before
00:43:42.980 publishing and our editorial decisions reflected that review. When pressed to answer why key
00:43:49.220 portions like Doe's Our Body, Our Choice comment had been left out. Quote, we also included her
00:43:53.840 attorney's explanation and gave our audience the context necessary to understand why some of those
00:44:02.860 messages may be disputed. And their post when they had broken that news to CBS New York pointed out
00:44:11.360 that her lawyer Jifra said Doe was in denial and traumatized shortly after the alleged assaults.
00:44:18.900 She was intoxicated to the point of incapacity that night and was trying to find out what
00:44:25.700 happened.
00:44:26.260 He said Doe felt like she would not take an aggressive tone with this defendant if she
00:44:31.760 wanted answers. 1.00
00:44:33.640 Okay, that's utter bullshit. 0.99
00:44:36.440 She eventually got to that place when they disinvited her from the Halloween party. 0.99
00:44:40.500 Then she started setting them up in her little surreptitious phone calls.
00:44:43.700 But at this point, she wasn't setting them up. 0.99
00:44:45.540 That's a fucking lie, Jifra, like everything you've said on TV. 0.99
00:44:48.900 This guy is an ambulance chasing plaintiff's lawyer. 1.00
00:44:52.600 That's what he is.
00:44:53.200 He just wants a cut of the check.
00:44:55.020 He thinks he can get her from Cornell.
00:44:56.840 And there is no way that you, if Jane Doe was acting in those initial texts, she's a
00:45:02.620 very bad actress. 0.64
00:45:03.400 She took it way too far because she certainly didn't need to act back at the tried out house 1.00
00:45:07.660 when she told her big sister she was a slut and it was true what people were saying about 1.00
00:45:12.520 her. 1.00
00:45:12.720 Why did she need to take the text exchanges with the young men so far as to say, I love
00:45:17.720 you?
00:45:18.080 and our bodies, our choice, and nothing that we did was illegal. 0.99
00:45:22.480 That's a really weird way of coaxing out of them, oh, it was illegal and I raped you. 1.00
00:45:26.820 This is such an obvious lie. 0.97
00:45:29.060 And the fact that CBS New York and obviously the New York Times have been complicit explains 1.00
00:45:34.520 the absurd protests that we're seeing on campuses like New York, the amount of idiocy we're 0.98
00:45:40.160 getting out of the feminist left that's now trying to lecture anyone speaking up for truth, 0.98
00:45:46.300 reality and the law and and both these media outlets among others have been totally complicit
00:45:51.920 in fostering it well and they're clearly if cbs new york believes that they're in way over their
00:45:56.300 head on reporting these things because that is actually an argument for them not even including
00:46:01.340 what they included which is none of the sex stuff was illegal right if she if that's what cbs new
00:46:07.160 york believes is reason to exclude evidence that's harmful to jane doe because she was traumatized
00:46:12.740 then they should take it all out, take it all out. But it's not evident. It's not an actual
00:46:17.780 argument for keeping that stuff out. And you and I know because we've been covering this a long
00:46:22.420 time, like campus was called quote unquote rape culture panic of like 2012 when Obama's first
00:46:28.160 dear colleague letter came down until 2017 when the Trump administration walked that back. That 1.00
00:46:32.380 was when I was in college and I was working for Christina Hoff Summers at the time. So I was
00:46:35.560 covering this stuff really closely. When I was a little college journalist, I was covering these
00:46:38.740 stories closely. Megan, you were doing this in primetime on Fox News for years. When you cover
00:46:43.800 these stories, you know how they unfold. So CBS New York should Google Sabrina Rubin Erdler. You
00:46:48.440 were talking to Taibbi, who worked at Rolling Stone at the time, about this on Friday. Google
00:46:52.040 that. Google Crystal Mangum. This is another one that's driving me crazy. Emma Salkowitz, who's
00:46:56.160 back out talking once again. Mattress Girl. Mattress Girl is being trotted back out to talk 1.00
00:47:00.360 about this. It is mind-blowing because we have seen this playbook. What is the name of that
00:47:04.800 journalist, what's her name? Tara Palmieri, unbelievably, is trying to resurrect this hoax 0.99
00:47:11.620 like it's real. I didn't realize that she was the one who broke Mattress Girl's story, or so she 0.68
00:47:17.100 claims. This woman at Columbia University walked around, she accused her boyfriend with whom she'd 0.97
00:47:22.260 been voluntarily having sex, but she claims one interlude went too far and he allegedly raped her 1.00
00:47:26.880 from behind, the anal sex. And the university, Columbia University, not exactly known for its, 0.99
00:47:32.940 you know southern baptist conservative roots um investigated the claim this is during the obama
00:47:39.080 era yep and found nothing happened 2013 they they they did not believe her story and then
00:47:46.940 she reported it to the nypd same comment as before not this not exactly going to the houston pd
00:47:53.240 uh department and expecting some conservative bias to possibly be at play on the on the part
00:47:59.340 of the cops. This is NYPD. They took her, they too said, no, we, there's no case here to stop.
00:48:05.940 Okay. This woman has been resurrected by Tara Palmieri as like somebody who was the original
00:48:13.120 Jane Doe, whose opinion we might want that this woman has been deemed not credible in her rape
00:48:20.460 accusations by Columbia university and NYPD. And once again, this so-called journalist trots her 0.99
00:48:27.020 out as an example of somebody we should be listening to on allegations and whether or not
00:48:32.040 to believe them. This is absurd. Here is how some of their conversation went when she re-upped her
00:48:38.140 on her podcast, Sot19. I actually have a sense of peacefulness and perspective about what happened
00:48:45.500 in 2012, right? What you did to that young man? I think that there's a reason you let your wine
00:48:53.220 breathe after you open the bottle right because you actually can't taste it the moment you open
00:48:57.580 a bottle of wine you're supposed to let it breathe that's the same thing with what's happening today
00:49:02.860 good god and there's a frantic so there's this frantic energy of like let's figure this all out
00:49:08.300 right now and in reality like jane doe is probably going to feel like she's i don't know if she's
00:49:16.520 going to like change her opinions but like she's going to be a different person in 12 years like
00:49:21.340 or 14 years or however long it's been like so will all seven of these men
00:49:26.100 she actually went on this rant about how feelings should really dictate what actually happened like
00:49:35.340 i don't understand this probing of consent if if she feels like she didn't consent then she didn't
00:49:39.840 consent she did acknowledge that that would make a very difficult legal standard like it's just an
00:49:45.400 evolving thing. You know, I felt like I consented on day one through year four. And then in year
00:49:52.400 five, I realized it wasn't. So now I want charges brought like this is this is an absurdity. What's
00:49:57.420 next? Want to trot out Jussie Smollett to discuss whether the latest racism accusation has any
00:50:02.720 merit? Like, why doesn't she book Crystal Mangum to talk to us about how people women need to be 1.00
00:50:07.960 believed? This is ridiculous. Why would you resurrect an obvious rape hoaxer to come out 0.98
00:50:13.660 and speak on this at all. And it was not done in a way to exonerate the young men or to remind
00:50:18.720 people that women do lie. Which we have seen from Crystal Mangum, from the UVA case, and it's so 0.94
00:50:24.520 easy not to jump to conclusions in these cases. That is what drives me most crazy. It is it's so
00:50:29.400 easy not to weigh in. If you're a journalist or if you're somebody that cares about not smearing
00:50:34.500 folks in public when you don't have all of the evidence, it's so easy to not conclusively say
00:50:40.340 X, Y, or Z. That's what got UVA into trouble. And that's why Sabrina Rubin early got in huge
00:50:46.300 legal jeopardy after that UVA story. It's so easy not to do this. And yet people cannot resist
00:50:53.300 jumping in on the side of the quote unquote Jane Doe or the side of the woman, even though,
00:50:57.680 even if women are mostly telling the truth about these stories, even if that's true,
00:51:02.780 you're a journalist, you're a journalist, your job isn't to say that something definitively
00:51:08.200 happened or didn't because we know that's not always the case. Obviously, it's not always the
00:51:13.020 case. So it's just not a journalistic act whatsoever to side with one person over another
00:51:17.580 when you don't know what happened in that room, and especially when there's lots of evidence in
00:51:20.700 different directions. Well, here's my problem, though. As a lawyer, you can easily look at this
00:51:26.080 case and say there is no chargeable rape. That's what Sonny Hostin did on day one because she was
00:51:31.220 a sex crimes prosecutor in New York, and it's what I was able to do, too, as somebody who's familiar
00:51:35.600 with the law and how to read it. Physical helplessness is the standard. It doesn't take
00:51:40.160 that much. That's the standard. If anybody would do their fucking homework, they would see that
00:51:43.880 and realize this woman's statement completely undermines it. The left is very, very upset with 1.00
00:51:48.520 those of us who will not analyze this through emotion, but through our legal brains. And the
00:51:55.180 only thing I can say is suck it. We'll be right back. Our sponsor, the Electronic Payments Coalition 1.00
00:52:01.260 says Washington politicians are always getting in your wallet and now they're messing with your
00:52:06.660 credit card. They say your credit card and the security it offers are under attack and that
00:52:11.780 Senators Dick Durbin and Roger Marshall want to change the nation's payment system to benefit
00:52:16.720 corporate megastores like Walmart and Target at the expense of everyday Americans. Credit cards
00:52:22.040 can keep your payments secure and provide rewards that families use to help make everyday purchases
00:52:27.120 more affordable. The Electronic Payments Coalition says the Durbin Marshall mandates
00:52:31.500 would let corporate megastores cut corners on credit card processing, on routing transactions
00:52:36.480 over cheaper, untested networks with weaker security and fewer protections. Find out more
00:52:42.640 for yourself at guardyourcard.com and consider telling Congress to guard your card.
00:52:57.120 I think most of us agree on this. Better information leads to better decisions.
00:53:02.560 That's the mission of USAFacts, to make government data clear, accessible, and understandable.
00:53:07.940 Because public data plays a bigger role in our lives than most people realize.
00:53:12.060 Government data helps determine where funding goes, how communities prepare for disasters,
00:53:16.980 which schools, hospitals, and local programs need support.
00:53:20.200 It helps businesses plan, journalists report, and voters understand what's really happening in the country.
00:53:25.100 And whether we think about it or not, we rely on this data every single day.
00:53:29.580 That's why supporting public data matters, not for Democrats, not for Republicans, for everybody.
00:53:35.280 Because public data should be easy to access, trust, and understand so we can use it to make informed decisions.
00:53:41.160 If you believe trustworthy public data matters too, join us.

00:53:55.100 we're watching a scene from pretty woman she's in the store searching for something things out
00:54:05.520 are you looking for something in particular no well yeah uh something conservative yes
00:54:14.200 you got my stuff thank you how much is this i don't think this would fit you
00:54:23.180 well i didn't ask if it would fit i asked how much it was how much is this marie it's very
00:54:30.860 expensive it's very expensive look i got money to spend in here i don't think we have anything
00:54:38.180 for you you're obviously in the wrong place please leave 0.98
00:54:43.280 and then julia roberts dressed as a prostitute walks out of the store and we all know what
00:54:56.740 happens next in the movie pretty woman well that exact thing just happened to kelly clarkson
00:55:00.620 or did it okay welcome back to the mk show emily jashinsky is our guest she's the host of after
00:55:08.120 Party, which you can find every Monday and Wednesday on YouTube and on all podcast platforms.
00:55:13.100 EJ, here is what, this is the best story. If there's another story that beats this this week,
00:55:19.060 I'm going to eat my hat. I just, there's no way there will be. So Kelly Clarkson,
00:55:25.480 for some reason, decided to step on a rake this weekend. And she goes Saturday afternoon at 3.09 0.85
00:55:33.660 p.m. I've got to give you this precise TikTok as though we're investigating a crime. I'm already
00:55:38.240 losing it. On X, where she doesn't post that often, apparently, and alleges she was treated
00:55:45.740 just like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman at a store in Brooklyn, New York called Art of Play.
00:55:54.140 Now, just FYI, the Brooklyn, New York store describes itself on its website as a place to
00:55:58.300 discover magic. Located at the start of Atlantic Avenue near Brooklyn Bridge Park, our unique
00:56:02.560 collection of magical home goods, puzzles, games, toys, and books has been called one of the most
00:56:06.560 beautiful shops in New York City and our intimate 26-seat theater hosts performances from the best
00:56:11.620 close-up magicians in the world. Sounds cute. So Kelly Clarkson posts the following on X Saturday.
00:56:19.300 Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had
00:56:24.700 a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn't afford it and was told
00:56:32.480 he could find something comparable for me. 1.00
00:56:35.680 Wow, dude, you're an idiot and just lost a huge sale. 1.00
00:56:40.460 But y'all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn 1.00
00:56:43.800 if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts' character
00:56:46.880 in Pretty Woman.
00:56:48.740 For sure, check it out. 1.00
00:56:51.500 Because Kelly Clarkson was having one of these movements. 0.98
00:56:56.180 This is the part of the movie
00:56:57.860 that Kelly was having with that tweet, Sock 24. 1.00
00:57:02.480 oh she's back looking like a million bucks her fancy wear
00:57:10.420 hi hello do you remember me no i'm sorry i was in here yesterday you wouldn't wait on me
00:57:15.980 oh you work on commission right uh yes big mistake big huge i have to go shopping
00:57:24.980 yeah kelly she's she slammed the ball in the end zone saying i'm rich that's really what she was 1.00
00:57:36.380 trying i'm fucking kelly clarkson i am rich and you dumb asses turned me away like i couldn't 1.00
00:57:42.280 afford your as it turns out fifteen thousand dollar animatron bird that's the best part 0.99
00:57:49.460 it's like if you picture pretty woman but she's trying to buy an animatronic bird on the wall
00:57:55.640 here is the bird right crack team went and found video of the bird can we see it can we can we
00:58:02.760 that's a picture let's see the actual moving bird that she found so alluring do we have it
00:58:08.020 oh oh two more
00:58:15.300 so for listening audience there's something that looks like a music box
00:58:23.480 on the wall it's like the size of like a a telephone and he cranks the crank and then about
00:58:31.780 four or five feet above the little box is a little bird an animatronic bird you know just
00:58:38.000 looks like a real bird but isn't one and when he cranks it it makes the little bird tweet okay so
00:58:43.100 that's the whole thing. Oh, no, we've got close-ups of the twirling. I love my team.
00:58:51.720 So here's what happened next. Art of Play responded on Instagram saying as follows,
00:59:01.120 writing as follows. Yesterday, Kelly Clarkson visited us in Brooklyn and inquired about buying
00:59:07.280 Molly, a one-of-a-kind singing and dancing bird automaton who plays an important role
00:59:13.040 in the magic shows we host here.
00:59:15.400 Molly is permanently attached to the wall
00:59:18.720 and is not for sale.
00:59:20.840 However, the negative experience Kelly described on Twitter
00:59:23.480 would resonate with anyone
00:59:24.780 who has ever felt judged in a shop.
00:59:26.920 At Art of Play, whether someone comes in
00:59:28.920 to make a purchase or simply look around for a while,
00:59:31.420 they are equally welcome.
00:59:32.960 We greet everyone who walks in the door
00:59:34.840 with the invitation to, quote,
00:59:36.400 pick things up and play, end quote, and they do.
00:59:39.560 Many stay for hours enjoying our puzzles, games, and toys.
00:59:42.300 Imagine our surprise when our small local business was suddenly attacked by 8 million people who have never visited our store.
00:59:50.920 It's been a surreal experience to be the focus of such widespread outrage after just one mention by a celebrity.
00:59:58.240 Thanks to all our friends for their support and welcome to all the curious folks who have discovered us amidst the drama.
01:00:03.040 We're going to keep our heads down and hopefully we can clear things up with Kelly someday.
01:00:06.360 As a talented popular singer once said, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
01:00:12.300 So, we'll get to how Kelly responded, and then Art of Play responded again, but here's what's happened. It's actually a very interesting phenomenon, because Kelly Clarkson is not particularly controversial. It's not like she's been a strong political voice, etc.
01:00:31.140 She's been openly supporting Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and says she's a Democrat, but she's not like in your face with it, though she was raised a Republican in Texas.
01:00:40.940 She's since abandoned all that.
01:00:43.180 And the Internet felt very strongly about her behavior.
01:00:49.080 And I agree. I have to say she used her hefty weight as a celebrity influencer to remind us all that she's a very, very rich multimillionaire and that this fifteen thousand dollar bird on the wall was nothing to her and did not give any thought to the consequences of possibly ruining. 0.68
01:01:19.080 A much less powerful, less well off small shop in Brooklyn with this tweet and decided to complain Marie Antoinette style about the fact that they wouldn't bow down and immediately give her for 15 grand a stupid electronic bird on the wall. 1.00
01:01:43.600 And the Internet is angry at her for behaving this way. 0.95
01:01:48.000 Emily, the memes are like the greatest thing I've seen in a long time.
01:01:52.980 I have been laughing out loud at what I've seen here.
01:01:56.640 Let me see.
01:01:57.500 Oh, hold on a second.
01:01:58.420 I'll pull them up.
01:01:59.140 But I've been literally busting a gut.
01:02:01.100 Not literally, but almost busting a gut. 0.99
01:02:03.020 As the Internet says, like, she's basically she burst into my apartment and demanded I give her a load bearing wall. 0.98
01:02:13.200 Or Steve. 0.60
01:02:14.640 Other comments.
01:02:15.320 yeah steve producer steve one of the ones he sent me was kelly clarkson it was like a woman holding
01:02:20.540 a gun from a movie and the caption was kelly clarkson at target trying to buy one of the red
01:02:24.660 spheres outside of the store that's like attached to the concrete uh you know first of all if i had 0.99
01:02:30.620 kelly clarkson's money this is exactly the kind of dumb shit that i would be spending it on 0.94
01:02:34.440 like a bird attached to the wall i'd be like yeah yeah bird uh but it's musical exactly exactly and 0.98
01:02:40.940 it's also part of what's so funny is this is out of character for kelly clarkson it's like the one
01:02:44.580 time she loses it in public is over an animatronic bird that's attached to a wall in a brooklyn magic
01:02:49.900 shop also it conjures uh as you probably remember the real housewives of new york city early
01:02:55.000 episodes where they're forced to go to alex and simon's townhouse in brooklyn and you have like
01:03:01.180 ramona just utterly horrified that she has been asked to travel to brooklyn so you have cali
01:03:07.780 clerkson also saying i drove all the way to brooklyn all the way to brooklyn god forbid
01:03:11.820 Oh, God forbid, so Brooklyn, Brooklyn. But there's a I think maybe a serious element to this, which is that Kelly Clarkson has class anxiety that a lot of people who make it big in America do.
01:03:23.000 And that's one of the most amazing things about America is that we have this like amazing, amazing American dream mentality, which American Idol back in his early days was so excellent about resonating with the public over, which is that you could be the small town girl for I think her dad was a pediatrician.
01:03:39.360 she's not like from nothing right right but i mean she she went on to like just complete
01:03:42.920 superstardom and is really one of at least for a while was one of the most famous people in the
01:03:47.020 country after she won the first season and it was amazing like you can become a major singer
01:03:52.640 celebrity because you get cast on a reality show like there's something really cool about it but
01:03:56.940 i think she still probably clearly has this class anxiety that people don't take her seriously
01:04:02.040 enough i mean she still has a little twang and that she's been in these spaces probably especially
01:04:06.780 when she was younger and she had an accent and she was a Southern girl and people in New York 0.97
01:04:10.660 and LA may not have treated her as seriously as she wanted to be treated. So I feel like maybe
01:04:14.860 that's what came out here. If we are to ascribe a serious motivation, it's so bad. I agree. That's
01:04:21.820 that may be what drove some piece of it, but I actually think there's something else going on
01:04:25.700 here, which is what I think people are reacting to. And it's like this sense of entitlement
01:04:32.080 where like she expected to be treated a certain way
01:04:37.420 and she wasn't treated that way.
01:04:40.180 So she went and lit a fire under the small shop owner 1.00
01:04:43.480 who disrespected Ms. Clarkson. 1.00
01:04:46.620 That's really what she did here.
01:04:49.600 And I resent that.
01:04:51.980 And I think a lot of people resent that
01:04:53.360 because whether you are rich or poor, famous or not,
01:04:57.480 you've been treated disrespectfully in a store.
01:04:59.360 We have all been there.
01:05:01.420 hello i lived in new york for 17 years if they speak to you it's like an honor even in brooklyn
01:05:09.120 even in brooklyn even in brooklyn like people are rude and they don't always treat you like a huge
01:05:16.960 international celebrity kelly sometimes they're having a bad day sometimes they're like they're 0.98
01:05:23.620 sick of dealing with the average consumer who comes in and wants the fucking bird it's like 0.99
01:05:27.860 The bird's not for sale. 1.00
01:05:29.320 It's glued to the wall.
01:05:31.200 Like, they don't care how big your wallet is.
01:05:34.260 They're like, it's not for sale.
01:05:36.100 And she is used to being treated like something special.
01:05:40.980 That's what this telegraphs to me.
01:05:42.400 And unlike the rest of us who get treated like nothing special all the time, it's not a daily occurrence for her.
01:05:51.440 So she's angry.
01:05:52.900 She has a sense that she is entitled to be treated well all the time. 0.99
01:05:57.860 Everyone listening to me has been treated like shit more times than they can count, whether it's somebody flipping you the bird on the road and they don't care who you are or you're in a store. 0.99
01:06:09.160 They don't think you're special. You could be the best dressed in the restaurant. You get a shitty table. No one cares. 1.00
01:06:13.960 The rest, the waiter's room, whatever. And a normal person, I just think all of us are like, OK, and you move on.
01:06:22.820 You don't like you wouldn't dream of like going out there and ripping them a new one and taking umbrage at the fact that you were not treated with the dignity that you feel you you deserve.
01:06:34.660 It was just a very weird place for her to go in response to a small slight in the store.
01:06:40.040 And it was about money at a time when people are really suffering.
01:06:45.140 She actually wanted us to feel sorry for her that she that they didn't think she could afford the fifteen thousand dollar toy bird.
01:06:54.280 Well, OK, so first of all, I have to say, Tucker gave you an amazing compliment over the weekend by saying you're one of the best summarizers of news stories in the business, which he put into words something I've definitely felt for a long time.
01:07:04.220 That is exactly accurate. And you've just proven that, Megan, because this is a difficult the layers to the story are impossible to keep track of.
01:07:11.440 and now I think we're all understanding what happened, which is that there was probably some
01:07:15.660 type of miscommunication. Like she didn't want to hear it though, because she felt as though they
01:07:19.760 were looking down on her. And after that it was gone. So there was no like rational behavior from
01:07:24.680 Kelly Clarkson after she felt slighted, which if you're a celebrity and you feel like you have
01:07:30.040 been slighted by a small business, do not blast them on social media until you have personally
01:07:36.220 gotten to the bottom of what happened because the little people could get absolutely crushed
01:07:41.260 by your decision and by the way it can boomerang back on you too especially in a time megan where
01:07:45.920 as you just pointed out there are real class resentments brewing like real class resentments
01:07:50.660 brewing brewing gas is over four dollars a gallon like you might be stepping on a rake over a 0.97
01:07:55.100 fucking bird which is the best part of the story but seriously like she we've seen this with other 0.98
01:08:01.980 celebrities who have made accusations that they were treated uh in a racist way by stores or 0.99
01:08:06.680 something like that and it always almost always turns out that there was a miscommunication which
01:08:11.000 I think is what's happening here. And to take to social media immediately is so stupid and 1.00
01:08:17.060 unnecessary. And the owner of the store, the guy who says he's the owner, he's the silent partner, 1.00
01:08:22.840 he claims, is out there saying she just ruined my business. This woman with her one post has 1.00
01:08:28.240 absolutely devastated my business. Like the amount of hate that they now have incoming their way over 0.99
01:08:33.020 what they say was her misunderstanding about this bird. So now Clarkson doesn't like the fact that
01:08:38.980 they that they respond oh here we go there's more okay oh there's two two more chapters i mean i am
01:08:45.260 all over bird this is why we need you um yes it is important this is how we my team and i spend
01:08:49.940 our weekends um we actually do have a lot of exchanges over this bird um so she posts the 0.92
01:08:56.800 thing saying they suck then they post the thing saying what doesn't kill you makes you stronger
01:09:00.960 molly's not for sale sorry she didn't understand that then she gets back online because she now 0.98
01:09:07.380 she's starting to get it and writes, cool, cool. Sure. It wasn't for sale. That's the narrative
01:09:12.580 art of play is going to go with. Thumbs up. So the whole conversation we had when I asked you
01:09:17.000 if it was for sale whilst pointing to the price tag, hanging on the wall with the title singing
01:09:23.320 bird didn't happen as you elevator eyed me saying in a condescending tone, quote, yes, it's for sale,
01:09:31.600 but it costs $15,000. So if you'd like me to find something comparable for you, I can, end quote.
01:09:39.880 That all never happened. And now it's not for sale. Okay, cool. So you're not only rude,
01:09:45.860 you're a liar. You're also a liar. Got it. Check mark. And by the way, I obviously support small 1.00
01:09:52.140 businesses because I was literally at a small business trying to purchase things. I love small
01:09:57.400 businesses and know they are important and I always support them, but you don't get a free
01:10:01.160 pass to treat people less than in your store just because you are a small business. It's not that
01:10:07.640 hard to be kind. I never blast people, but you, my friend were an exception. Your store is really
01:10:12.940 cool. Unfortunately, you aren't defensive. I was just going to say that. Okay. So now she's hearing
01:10:19.200 it, right? Like this is way too defensive. She Kelly Clarkson needs an intervention by some PR
01:10:23.580 person. Our friend Ari Emanuel needs to call her and tell her to step away from the phone. 1.00
01:10:28.720 My dear, put down the phone. It's time for a visit to the therapist, not to X, to work out
01:10:35.080 some of these issues that you seem to be suffering from. Then Art of Play responds on Instagram early
01:10:41.460 this morning, and here is what they posted. We'd like to clarify some additional details
01:10:46.240 about Kelly Clarkson's visit to our curiosity shop on Saturday. This is amazing.
01:10:53.580 this is like the most interesting investigation uh during the five minutes she spent in the store
01:10:58.940 they're like letting her have it she's here for five minutes but passive aggressively she inquired
01:11:02.960 about right exactly like with the quote from the lyrics she inquired about our mechanical bird
01:11:09.180 puppet named molly we explained that while molly is permanently attached to the wall
01:11:15.880 and serves as a de facto mascot for our shop a nearly identical automaton is owned by the creator
01:11:23.260 of the machines, a brilliant artist named Bliss Kolb, who lives in Seattle. He told us he would
01:11:28.840 be willing to part with Molly's twin for $15,000. We explained all of this to Kelly Clarkson.
01:11:36.120 We also offered to show her a different singing bird automaton made by a traditional clockmaking
01:11:42.420 shop in Germany that she could have taken home with her that day. It costs about $2,000. She
01:11:48.720 did not stick around long enough to see it. We've reached out to Kelly directly to try and
01:11:53.140 clear the air. We really do wish her the best. We hope that someday we can all laugh about this
01:11:56.400 misunderstanding. And then the store pinned to the top of its Instagram page, a September 5th post
01:12:01.980 featuring a picture of Molly with the caption, our favorite items, not for sale.
01:12:09.880 They're proving that Molly's not for sale, that Molly's never for sale. And that to the extent
01:12:14.740 Kelly Clarkson saw a price tag on the wall referencing $15,000, it was not for this bird.
01:12:22.480 It was for a different bird that lives in Seattle that they could help arrange for her. 0.72
01:12:28.060 Or if she wanted instant gratification, she could get the lesser version of Molly for just two grand and walk away. 1.00
01:12:34.660 But Kelly was too busy in a huff. 0.97
01:12:37.760 That's me swishing the scarf over the shoulder.
01:12:40.640 That's how I picture it.
01:12:41.760 Walking out of the Brooklyn store saying, you'll regret this and getting on X to do her nasty post.
01:12:49.220 I really think this is a story about celebrity culture.
01:12:52.480 And how, like, I'm sorry, even the nice ones, and I think Kelly Clarkson probably is or was, wind up believing their you-know-what doesn't stink.
01:13:01.600 And they do walk into establishments expecting to be treated like they're special.
01:13:08.880 And what she calls less than, I guarantee you, is what the rest of us call normal.
01:13:15.120 Like, you can't have it.
01:13:17.500 You can have one in Seattle, or you can have a cheaper version for two.
01:13:21.700 What do you want?
01:13:22.480 See, that actually also might make sense with the images that have been going around showing, I think Kelly Clarkson even reposted one, a price tag next to Molly on the wall, which is that it was a price tag reflecting if you wanted to order the one from Seattle, then you could get that one for $15,000.
01:13:37.280 you can't take the one off the wall in the store, which maybe the person wasn't like who explained
01:13:42.580 that to her wasn't like, you know, fawning over her, which is probably the norm that celebrities
01:13:46.820 get accustomed to. And when anything deviates from that there, it like sets off a red flag
01:13:51.440 and maybe it triggered in her this like class anxiety she's always had since entering the
01:13:55.240 business. But I was sending some of these memes to friends during the break. And one of my friends
01:13:59.300 just responded, why with the Kelly Clarkson thing, did I end up just hating her and defending the 1.00
01:14:04.200 business. This is exactly like a totally normal person, by the way, like not in media or anything
01:14:10.260 like this is exactly what Kelly Clarkson just unleashed because she decided to go on her like
01:14:16.840 go rogue and start posting about this on X. I correct me if I'm wrong on this. I don't think
01:14:21.360 there's any way a publicist reviewed that tweet before she posted it. Oh, God. Yeah. And you know
01:14:26.580 what else? Like, here's here's another thing I can't help but feel. And maybe a lot of listeners
01:14:31.980 are feeling this too, because we have a lot of people who are right of center who listen to the
01:14:34.960 program, not all, but a lot. If you are right of center and there's anything on you that telegraphs
01:14:43.120 that, whether it's an actual camo hat, not like the one that Tim Walls wore, or you're a cop,
01:14:51.100 you don't have to be right of center to be a cop, but the left doesn't tend to love cops,
01:14:54.660 or you're in the military, a lot of the left doesn't love military, or you're wearing the
01:14:58.900 American flag or you have anything MAGA on you, anything, whatever. You are so used to being
01:15:04.520 disrespected like this in every establishment in the major cities. I mean, every, like I lived in
01:15:10.040 New York for 17 years. I worked for Fox news for 13 of them. Like I, this is a day ending and why
01:15:15.080 for me, like you walk in, in Brooklyn, any establishment in Brooklyn would have treated 1.00
01:15:19.680 me like literally today I could go into that store that that bitch is going to not even tell 1.00
01:15:24.220 me about the two grand version. She's going to be like, it's not for sale. Get out. No birds to 1.00
01:15:29.600 Megyn Kelly. No, I get the middle finger. That's the only bird they'd give me. So like, I just have
01:15:37.420 no sympathy for her. I like, I like grow up, take it like a woman. Your life is great. Can I tell 1.00
01:15:44.100 you something? Again, I, I told a nice story last year about Marlo Thomas, Danny Thomas's daughter,
01:15:50.880 and she's the one behind St. Jude's.
01:15:52.620 And I freaking love Marla Thomas.
01:15:54.080 And she's older now.
01:15:55.760 She loved, loved, loved her husband, Phil Donahue, so much.
01:15:58.800 And the story I told last year was about how I met her at a dinner party
01:16:01.420 and I was thinking she might not like me because our politics are so different.
01:16:04.020 But she did not make that even remotely the stakes of the relationship.
01:16:09.140 She was warm.
01:16:09.880 She was loving.
01:16:10.520 She was kind.
01:16:11.140 She was fully advised.
01:16:12.360 And I fell in love with her that night.
01:16:14.120 Well, I saw her again recently.
01:16:15.680 Same thing, except for eliminate my doubts about her.
01:16:18.880 This time I approached her excitedly and warmly, and she was the same in response.
01:16:24.380 And she was saying, like, we're kind of laughing about life and how many attacks there always are or whatever.
01:16:31.540 And she's like, you know, you have a great life, right?
01:16:33.900 Like, you've got your husband, you've got your kids, you've got a great show, you've got friends, you're healthy.
01:16:39.340 She's like, me too.
01:16:40.320 She's like, I miss my husband, but I have so many dear friends.
01:16:43.280 Like, what do I have to complain about?
01:16:44.460 What do we have to complain about?
01:16:46.000 It's called perspective.
01:16:47.540 And in her case, wisdom.
01:16:49.420 She misses her sweet husband, Phil, so much.
01:16:51.580 It's like, that was a true love affair.
01:16:53.380 Anyway, my point is simply, Kelly Clarkson needs a dose of it.
01:16:57.740 She could use some time with Marlo Thomas. 0.96
01:17:00.000 She needs to, like, touch grass and get out of the rarefied air of celebrity, or as she 1.00
01:17:07.900 might phrase it, more than, and realize everyone gets treated like shit here or there, celebrity 0.99
01:17:14.200 or not. 0.98
01:17:14.880 It's not a comment on you.
01:17:16.080 99% of the time, it's a comment on the mood of the person that you're dealing with.
01:17:20.380 And you got to just let that stuff roll off you. Like you might say water off a bird's back.
01:17:27.140 Oh man. She, I mean, again, like for Callie Clarkson, she doesn't do this stuff often,
01:17:32.820 which makes it 10 times funnier and also 10 times dumber that, I mean, that's an amazing
01:17:38.060 story about Marla Thomas. And I feel like it's very rare, which is the point of the story is
01:17:42.240 that it's it's like something you don't hear from a lot of celebrities and it's a very rare thing
01:17:46.060 and that's why it gets us back to if you are a celebrity deciding to throw a small business
01:17:51.400 under the bus because you felt disrespected let's actually say that kelly clarkson let's grant her
01:17:56.700 let's say she was disrespected and they said uh-uh no bird for you you look poor let's grant
01:18:02.400 her that if that had happened is it still a good enough reason to litigate this publicly and
01:18:08.140 possibly end a small business which i mean they might end up getting a lot more business out of
01:18:12.860 all this because nobody's siding with her at this point but like is that good enough i'm interested
01:18:16.460 in seeing it hell yeah i mean of course you need to take the the whole crew down and do a report
01:18:21.280 live from art of play in brooklyn but actually like is that i'm gonna wear one of those hidden
01:18:25.420 cameras to see what happens to me actually well now they know it's coming it's not fair but no
01:18:32.180 this is part of the like uh knee-jerk social media culture which it's like even if all of this had
01:18:37.160 happened to you do you think maybe privately it would be better to reach out to the small business
01:18:40.340 and explain how you felt explain what happened and then give them a chance to correct it instead
01:18:45.320 of putting them on blast in front of the whole world like it's just yes the entitlement aspect
01:18:49.140 of it too and then the knee-jerk aspect of it just not thinking through how you might be
01:18:53.640 punching down at a little guy is embarrassing that's the little guy is the key piece because 0.54
01:18:59.400 if she had been like you know freaking american airlines didn't you know that got bounced off the 1.00
01:19:05.320 flight and I had my kids with me and we didn't get our seat. Everyone's been there, but that's
01:19:10.120 a giant that can defend itself and whatever. This is a one-store shop with private owners who,
01:19:18.800 of course, in today's day and age, we're losing those like wildfire. It's like,
01:19:24.200 thanks to Bill de Blasio's New York laws, which made the entire city, all five boroughs,
01:19:30.080 one giant Starbucks and Citibank. It's very hard for these small business owners to stay open at
01:19:36.580 all. The tax laws are ridiculous. The rents are ridiculous. And so the last thing a little store 0.87
01:19:42.000 like this needs is somebody with that kind of star power taking aim specifically at them. It's
01:19:47.080 punching down and it's fraught. And she got it. She learned that the hard way. I think we're 3-2-1
01:19:53.760 from Kelly Clarkson issuing an apology saying she misunderstood and she's sorry, or possibly
01:20:00.260 showing up at the store and doing a fun smiley pose like everything's solved. But I think she
01:20:07.360 now probably has a PR person telling her, you need to fix it and fix it fast. I'll say one 0.99
01:20:12.100 other thing about Kelly Clarkson. She's had quite the transformation. She started off like a plain 0.99
01:20:18.540 Jane, right? She had a plain Jane. There's a before and after that, I don't know who put this 1.00
01:20:22.760 together, but, um, you can see she was like, whatever. She's like an average looking person.
01:20:27.940 And now, so there she is on the left. Well, that's not a nice facial expression. She's done. 0.96
01:20:32.600 I don't know where we got this, but she doesn't have the greatest facial expression on in that 0.95
01:20:37.060 one, but she was a plain Jane and now she's glamorous. And now she's got clearly the Ozempic 1.00
01:20:42.000 shot going in my opinion. And she's lost a lot of weight. She's got the long hair and she looks 1.00
01:20:46.340 amazing. And I just think like the odds of the people who are in that store looking more like 1.00
01:20:52.260 the version of her on the right than they do of the version of her on the left are very slim.
01:20:56.820 And it's another reason why people are going to look at her and say, as she might say, be kind,
01:21:03.760 right? Like be kind, even in the face of unkindness. Not everybody's had your advantages
01:21:09.500 in life. Not everybody has become a multimillionaire. Not everybody has your talent,
01:21:14.500 your access to enormous wealth and power and successful people. And just a modicum of generosity
01:21:21.460 of spirit would serve you very well. Humility. Humility. When it comes to supplements, we all
01:21:26.340 know there are two things that matter, that it works and that you can trust it. Rather than just
01:21:31.000 tell you about relief factor, which I have praised many, many times, we often bring you what their
01:21:35.540 real customers have to say. One customer, Jim said he ran out of relief factor twice. And both times
01:21:42.020 he said his aches, stiffness, and pain came back. Once he restarted it, he says he felt better again.
01:21:47.520 As Jim puts it, quote,
01:21:48.500 you know something's working when you run out of it.
01:21:50.720 I know so many people who love Relief Factor.
01:21:53.460 I'm one of them.
01:21:54.480 I had it work for me.
01:21:55.380 I used it at least twice.
01:21:56.660 I'm trying to remember
01:21:57.460 because I think there was a third time when I got hurt.
01:21:59.540 And the thing is, it doesn't take long.
01:22:01.860 Like it actually works by attacking the site
01:22:04.460 where inflammation is and that reduces the pain.
01:22:07.960 It's not just about the symptom.
01:22:09.460 It's about the underlying cause.

01:22:33.580 too. Most electrolytes on the market are packed with artificial flavors, with stevia, with table
01:22:40.800 salt. But let me tell you about Bowie electrolyte drops. What is Bowie? It's a clean, purposely
01:22:47.220 unflavored liquid electrolyte formula packed with 87 ocean harvested trace minerals. Love this.
01:22:55.140 You can add a quick squeeze to any drink, even your morning coffee or matcha without changing
01:23:00.080 the taste at all. This is so great. I hate it when you put one of these supplements in your drink and
01:23:05.160 it ruins your drink. It's free from sugars, sweeteners, artificial ingredients, or synthetic
01:23:09.980 flavors, and third-party tested for impurities and heavy metals. Plus, it's backed by real
01:23:15.440 science. Bowie says a university-led clinical trial published in the journal Nutrients showed
01:23:21.280 that Bowie is clinically proven to hydrate 64% more than water alone and 49% more than leading

01:24:26.400 the Megyn Kelly channel, Sirius XM 111, and on the Sirius XM app.
01:24:30.240 All right, now we've got to talk about James Tallarico, do we not?
01:24:37.580 Of course.
01:24:38.080 We've got to talk about James Tallarico, and we've got to talk about Ilhan Omar, too.
01:24:40.840 So Ilhan Omar had a raid on her Washington, D.C. home this morning, which is very interesting.
01:24:50.480 It sounds like the DOJ is getting really interested in what Ilhan Omar did to become a U.S. citizen and what Ilhan Omar may have done to help her brother become a U.S. citizen, too.
01:25:07.740 Here is what the latest reporting is on it.
01:25:10.920 It was a pre-dawn raid.
01:25:13.840 It was, as I said, her home.
01:25:15.760 She's from Minnesota.
01:25:16.520 She's representative from Minnesota, but her home was raided in Washington, D.C. by Homeland Security Investigations.
01:25:22.420 Reading here from a Fox News report, the raid stems from criminal fraud investigation, a criminal fraud investigation into the Somali-born congresswoman's immigration paperwork, which was filled out by her late father when she was a child.
01:25:37.660 Two sources close to the investigation confirmed the details of the probe on Thursday to Fox.
01:25:42.500 Weeks after border czar Tom Homan last month said Omar was subject to an ongoing criminal investigation.
01:25:48.620 Tom Homan was on TV this morning confirming that a warrant was served against Ilhan Omar.
01:25:53.900 It has been signed off on by a judge.
01:25:56.920 So, you know, it's not just the Trump administration running wild.
01:26:00.960 They went in and got a judge to sign off on this thing to raid her apartment. 0.99
01:26:04.700 um she okay the background here is that for her to be denaturalized she's but she's a naturalized 0.62
01:26:12.840 u.s citizen meaning she wasn't born here but was then later recognized as one the process would
01:26:17.640 have to be related to allegations that she falsified info when obtaining her own citizenship
01:26:22.440 in 2000 omar claims she was granted automatic citizenship because she was a minor when her
01:26:27.960 father was naturalized congressional records state that she became a citizen at age 17 but
01:26:33.420 speculation that she was actually older at the time of her naturalization began after
01:26:40.800 a congressional candidate, A.J. Kern, accused her birth year of being revised. They're basically
01:26:49.200 saying she fudged that. She was too old to get naturalized under her dad's wing, and he lied
01:26:55.160 to get it for her. Then they went on to report, Fox did, that even if her father lied in his
01:27:02.320 citizenship paperwork. This could potentially lead to Omar being stripped of her citizenship.
01:27:06.620 So she's not protected just by the fact that maybe it was her dad who lied.
01:27:10.740 And then they remind us that if evidence has been presented to prove that Omar committed
01:27:16.680 marriage fraud, she could face up to five years in jail. Now, that's the interesting one that
01:27:24.320 there's been a lot of back and forth on. And even the Minneapolis Star Tribune raised questions
01:27:30.120 about this and could not exonerate Ilhan Omar from the charge that she married her brother.
01:27:38.840 Okay, here's the story. In 2002, she entered a religious marriage with Ahmed Hirsi, with whom
01:27:46.340 she has three children. He's now her current husband, and they're legally married. In 2009,
01:27:52.540 she legally married, so she had a religious marriage, but then in 2009 she had a legal
01:27:59.800 marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, a British citizen. This is her alleged brother. In 2011,
01:28:06.920 Omar says she and Elmi, the brother, separated, although they remained legally married for several
01:28:13.580 more years. In 2017, she legally divorced Elmi, again, the alleged brother. In 2018,
01:28:21.440 she then legally married the guy she had the religious marriage to in 2002. And all of this
01:28:28.080 has led to questions about whether that legal marriage to Elmi in 2009 was to get him into
01:28:37.360 the United States as her husband. The claim first appeared on an online Somali community discussion
01:28:45.580 forum called Somali Spot and was then picked up by Powerline, a conservative blog they posted back
01:28:52.540 in 2016. A reader has written to us to point out that the Somali website Somali Spot posted
01:28:59.120 information suggesting her involvement in marriage and immigration fraud. The post knows that notes
01:29:03.880 that she married this guy Hersey in 2002 in a religious ceremony. He's the father of her kids
01:29:08.640 and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. As soon as Omar married him, meaning Elmi, the alleged brother,
01:29:13.740 he started university at her alma mater, North Dakota State University, where he then graduated
01:29:19.800 in 2012. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Minneapolis where he was living in a public
01:29:24.920 housing complex and was later evicted. In other words, not with her as her husband.
01:29:32.660 So yes, if she did this, then she would have committed marriage fraud and she could be in
01:29:40.460 a lot of trouble. So we don't know if this has to do with the alleged marriage to her brother.
01:29:47.040 I guess I should say the actual marriage to a man who was allegedly her brother or whether they
01:29:54.460 misstated her age. But once and for all, the Trump administration is going to get to the bottom of
01:29:59.740 this because once you have the feds involved, every tire gets kicked. And she has now posted
01:30:06.360 to X, quote, I'm okay. Make no mistake. This is an attempt to target political enemies and
01:30:12.860 weaponize federal law enforcement. For 10 years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and
01:30:17.280 smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation.
01:30:22.100 I will not be silenced. Well, I don't think we want her to be silenced. I think we want
01:30:26.120 her to start singing like that bird on the wall and telling us whether she married her brother. 0.96
01:30:30.700 Yeah. I mean, I don't like retribution for the sake of retribution. And I think most Americans
01:30:34.520 zone either, especially when gas is $4 a gallon and there's a stagnating war that people are
01:30:39.000 pissed about. But there's plenty of evidence when it comes to Ilhan Omar to justify this
01:30:43.120 investigation. And that's where it's difficult for her to just pass it off as an effort at
01:30:47.180 political retribution, which she just did in that post on X you mentioned. Because in both of these
01:30:52.360 cases, in her immigration fraud case and then the marriage fraud case, as you mentioned, this is not
01:30:57.880 relegated to the conservative blogosphere, although Scott Johnson at Powerline has done great stuff on
01:31:02.620 this over the years. Even the Minneapolis Star Tribune has looked into this and found legitimate
01:31:07.360 discrepancies and question marks. And so I'm sure that there's a political motivation from the Trump
01:31:13.280 administration for doing this. I think we all understand that. But there's also substantial
01:31:17.400 evidence to warrant an investigation in both of those cases. And especially if you're looking into
01:31:22.240 her immigration fraud, if you combine that with questions in the other case, you may say that
01:31:27.900 here's somebody who has a willingness to kind of fudge facts in order to make immigration cases
01:31:34.500 smoother, whether it's her own or her brother's. So I don't think that I think that's going to be
01:31:39.660 really tough for her to claim that this is a totally baseless investigation, because as you
01:31:43.940 just laid out there, there's enough evidence to warrant a federal probe here. I mean, when the
01:31:50.660 Minneapolis Star Tribune is unable to exonerate you, there are questions because that paper would
01:31:58.140 have done everything in its power to say these are all bloody lies. And the fact that it couldn't
01:32:04.580 is very telling. No one's been able to fact check this in a way that exonerates her. And honestly,
01:32:10.460 either this guy's her brother or he's not. If that's her brother and all it will take is a
01:32:15.240 simple DNA test. She's F'd. Nobody marries their brother except for Tony Jackson, who's having sex 0.83
01:32:20.860 with his cousin. But other than that, nobody does it. Oh, Troy, Troy. Yeah, Troy, Troy, not Tony. 0.99
01:32:27.280 Sorry. Troy Jackson. Is Tony the cousin? Troy did not marry his brother, but did have sex with
01:32:37.580 his cousin and produced children with his cousin and might be our next senator from the state of
01:32:42.880 Maine, which leads me to politics. See how I did that, Emily? See that?
01:32:46.680 Just miraculous. So smooth.
01:32:48.840 Like Mary Lou Retton, baby.
01:32:51.840 So there's a problem in River City. And by that, I mean, Texas.
01:32:59.300 Tallarico, when last we checked in on Friday, was missing in action.
01:33:06.140 He had the flu and he was gone for nine days.
01:33:08.620 And no one believed that he had the flu and was basically off the campaign, I think, for mostly 13 before anybody had seen him in person anywhere.
01:33:17.640 At this point in the campaign, you know, early voting is going to be underway.
01:33:20.880 Like, it was madness.
01:33:22.760 It was an absolute mad, mad, mad, mad situation that happened.
01:33:27.180 well over the weekend you had like this woman caroline wren who's a republican operative
01:33:36.760 who you know you can't go by her reporting i think she would she would tell you that herself
01:33:40.700 she was saying please somebody come investigate this but she was saying look i'm just going to
01:33:44.420 tell you what i'm hearing i'm hearing that he's in a mental institution now this could just be a
01:33:48.540 political move designed to stir up like how long have you been cheating on your wife you know like
01:33:52.600 one of those situations. But what happened over the weekend was Nick Sorter, who is a conservative
01:34:01.060 influencer, I guess you'd call him, political guy online, posted audio that he received from
01:34:08.900 another party of a call to a facility in Ohio, a telephone call. And here's the thing. It was
01:34:18.940 Caroline Wren, who said, I've seen, because you can apparently track the paths of private jets,
01:34:26.080 and she saw a private jet leave Austin, Texas on Thursday, last Thursday, and then return with its
01:34:31.940 passenger on Friday, the very next day, and that this private jet went to a place in Ohio that was
01:34:36.840 just a few miles away from this mental health facility where people go to recover from depressive
01:34:42.340 incidents, et cetera. And she reported that a judge friend of Tallarico's had gone to that
01:34:50.140 facility for treatment for depression. And she was saying, what are the odds that, you know,
01:34:55.620 just as Tallarico resurfaces, which she did Friday night in Texas, in Austin, that this plane that
01:35:02.220 went and got somebody from, or appears to have gotten somebody from Austin to Ohio, right by
01:35:07.000 this facility, then returns in time for Tallarico to make a public appearance on Friday, did not
01:35:11.160 have Tallarico in it. Well, all of that is what we call complete baseless speculation. Absolutely
01:35:16.340 zero. We have no freaking clue who's on that plane. Zero. Whether it was a pickup, whether
01:35:21.420 it was a drop off, whether that had anything to do with James Tallarico, but she's kind of the
01:35:24.900 one stirring this. So then Nick Sorter posts this video or this audio from Ryan Amaker and Ryan
01:35:33.080 Amaker, it seems to be a conservative sort of operative who kept calling the facility, the
01:35:39.380 Lindner Center of Hope over the weekend to see if they had a man named James Tallarico as a patient
01:35:46.400 there. And ultimately he gets, well, he gets told like you would at most medical facilities like
01:35:52.940 this, you can't have any information unless you have a code or unless you have some way of proving
01:35:56.860 that you actually know this patient that you're asking me about. And what he reported, this Ryan
01:36:02.360 Amaker, was that he then made up a code to convince the operator he did in fact have a
01:36:07.460 connection to James Tallarico, who he who he falsely claimed was he was his cousin. And he
01:36:13.940 eventually gets the operator, he tells us, Ryan Omaker claims, at this Ohio mental hospital to
01:36:23.540 apparently confirm Tallarico was there but has been discharged earlier this evening. I should
01:36:29.860 say up front, Ryan Omaker says this conversation happened on Saturday. Discharged earlier this
01:36:36.200 evening would have meant Saturday. We know that James Tallarico was seen in Austin, not Ohio,
01:36:42.820 on Friday. So already the story's got a smell problem. But here is, for what it's worth,
01:36:50.140 what Ryan Amaker says happened in that phone call with the mental health facility known as
01:36:57.100 the Lindner Center of Hope in Ohio. Sat One. Hi, I do not find anyone with that name for the last
01:37:05.480 four days it's been discharged and they're not here in the building okay so nothing for james
01:37:10.620 tallarico um yes it looks well this is what it's today looks like just she was just discharged
01:37:27.720 this evening. That's why I don't
01:37:29.640 have it. Oh, he was
01:37:31.520 discharged then?
01:37:33.240 Mm-hmm. Okay.
01:37:35.140 So he should be. Okay.
01:37:37.220 I'm sorry. And I'll make sure I have to write this.
01:37:39.420 This is Hope Linder?
01:37:41.420 Yes. Uh-huh. Okay.
01:37:43.460 And you're in Hamilton, Ohio?
01:37:45.800 No, we're not in Hamilton.
01:37:47.340 Oh. We're in Mason.
01:37:49.740 Okay. So that's why he's on the system.
01:37:51.540 He's in recent. Okay.
01:37:54.200 So this was the
01:37:55.400 quote, proof that next order
01:37:57.300 and this guy, Ryan Amaker, put out to show us that Tallarico was, in fact, checked into this
01:38:03.500 mental facility called the Lindner Center of Hope. Well, no sooner did they post that than
01:38:09.500 a Tallarico spokesperson came out and said, this is a lie designed to promote a pathetic 0.94
01:38:14.600 conspiracy theory. Last week, James Tallarico was home in Austin, Texas, recovering from the flu.
01:38:19.240 Then the Lindner facility actually put out a statement.
01:38:26.680 First, they tried to say, we don't confirm or deny whether any individual is or has been a patient.
01:38:31.920 But then they did exactly that.
01:38:34.380 Then they put out a tweet that said James Tallarico has never received treatment at the Lindner Center for Hope,
01:38:41.560 Which was a little cagey, I've got to say, because received treatment is much more specific than has never checked in, has not been a patient here, was not here over the past nine days.
01:38:52.360 I actually tweeted out myself, since they decided to weigh in on it, could you be more specific?
01:38:57.260 Like, just let's put this to bed one way or the other.
01:38:59.500 I like, I have no idea what happened, but that he's never received treatment here doesn't really answer the question.
01:39:05.660 They did not respond.
01:39:06.740 And then James Tallarico seemed to put the whole matter to bed by tweeting out, I've never even been to Ohio.
01:39:11.560 with a laughing, crying emoji, which is as explicit a denial as one can get and has the
01:39:16.680 ring of truth to it. I mean, that's a very bold lie. If it's not true, God, what a very bold lie
01:39:23.100 to say you've never been to the state when in fact you were secretly in one of their mental
01:39:26.540 facilities for the past nine days. That to me had the ring of truth to it. But now this Nick Sorter
01:39:31.080 is doubling down saying he's got more and it's going to be coming out any day now. You tell me
01:39:38.160 what's really going on here, because Ken Paxton seems to be thoroughly enjoying this.
01:39:44.260 And James Tallarico is pointing the finger at Paxton saying, because he said, let me see proof
01:39:49.280 of life. Paxton did. And Tallarico looked at Paxton and said, let me see proof of a spine.
01:39:54.640 And why don't you finally debate me, which you've been refusing to do all along, even though
01:39:59.280 President Trump said, debate him. And there will be no Texas debate because Paxton continues to
01:40:05.600 refuse. So where does all of that leave us? Well, I think Republicans like Caroline Wren
01:40:09.540 know that they legitimately have a huge problem in Texas and saw an opening with Tallarico
01:40:14.380 bizarrely out of the campaign trail. I mean, it is incredibly odd to just disappear from the
01:40:21.020 campaign trail within a month of the general election in one of the most watched states in
01:40:26.260 the country, one of the most watched elections, one of the most high dollar elections, one of the
01:40:30.420 most high stakes elections in the country. He says he was sick. Maybe we're going to find out
01:40:34.420 that's totally true. Being gone that long for the flu, missing events, that is bizarre. And
01:40:39.280 Republicans sensed an opening because they're having so many problems in Texas because their
01:40:44.040 candidate is Ken Paxton, who, by the way, I don't begrudge Republican voters for choosing over John
01:40:49.020 Cornyn one bit, but he's not exactly the easiest guy to win an election, even in a red state like
01:40:54.720 Texas, when gas is $4 a gallon and the president is mired in a war. And so I do think Republicans
01:41:00.780 saw an opportunity and a window here to make the story negative about Tallarico rather than having
01:41:07.000 Ken Paxton relying just on Ken Paxton making the affirmative case for himself. They're able then
01:41:12.780 to shift the conversation to a negative about James Tallarico, which by the way is also pretty
01:41:17.160 easy to do. He's not that hard to knock, but Republicans fundamentally are having a hard time
01:41:22.540 convincing voters to go with them when the president is unpopular. He's overseeing a bad
01:41:28.720 economy that voters, I think, rightfully blame him for much of. And so it's just a tough environment,
01:41:33.580 and that's why they wanted to focus on this so much. I have no idea what's real or fake here.
01:41:37.720 I do think it's interesting that on the call, you hear someone even correct the person who's
01:41:44.420 asking the questions by saying, no, we're in Mason. The woman says, we're not in Hamilton,
01:41:50.240 we're in Mason. So if it's a fake, it's a pretty well-conceived fake, well-scripted fake. I don't
01:41:58.000 know if it's AI. I don't know if somebody who was on the phone at the Lindner Center made a mistake.
01:42:02.600 I suppose it's possible. Maybe there was someone named James someone there. I really have no idea
01:42:07.540 what the hell is going on, but I know for sure Republicans want to change the script. That much
01:42:11.220 I can understand. I agree with all that. It is strange that, you know, if in fact they had a
01:42:18.560 woman on the line who said that James Tallarico had just checked out, that's strange. But that
01:42:23.420 woman didn't sound like she totally understood what was going on. And I'm not sure we can put
01:42:28.800 any faith whatsoever in that phone call. I don't know this guy who made it, Ryan Amaker. I don't
01:42:34.820 know whether he's trustworthy. He tried to shop the story to the Daily Mail and said online on a
01:42:39.940 Twitter X space today, I think, uh, said like they wouldn't, they weren't going to go with it because
01:42:46.040 they needed to vet it. And he didn't find that like acceptable. He wanted to get it out right
01:42:50.740 away. So reason for caution, but I will revert to what I said on Friday, which is I have a real,
01:42:57.860 very tough time believing James Tallarico's story that he was just sitting in bed for nine days.
01:43:02.140 The pressure was being amped up to an 11 on him by day seven, nevermind eight, nine, and off the
01:43:10.580 campaign trail for 13 days in actual person visits. And the fact that he didn't tweet a picture,
01:43:18.300 There was no, like, post by his team of him at his house, by his papers, you know, a video message, which is very easy when you're 10 days into the flu, is very suspicious.
01:43:31.460 Something is wrong here, which is why people are now jumping to these other, you know, possibilities.
01:43:36.620 And maybe we'll eventually find out.
01:43:39.660 Emily Jashinsky, great to see you, my friend.
