The Megyn Kelly Show - Trump vs. Vivek, and DeSantis vs. Haley for 2nd, on Iowa Caucus Day, with Dave Rubin and Rep. Byron Donalds ｜ Ep. 702

00:00:00.000 When I found out my friend got a great deal

00:00:02.160 on a wool coat from Winners,

00:00:03.780 I started wondering,

00:00:05.440 is every fabulous item I see from Winners?

00:00:08.560 Like that woman over there with the designer jeans. 1.00

00:00:11.260 Are those from Winners?

00:00:12.780 Ooh, or those beautiful gold earrings?

00:00:14.880 Did she pay full price?

00:00:16.620 Or that leather tote?

00:00:17.620 Or that cashmere sweater?

00:00:18.840 Or those knee-high boots?

00:00:20.280 That dress?

00:00:21.060 That jacket?

00:00:21.740 Those shoes?

00:00:22.780 Is anyone paying full price for anything?

00:00:25.780 Stop wondering.

00:00:26.980 Start winning.

00:00:27.920 Winners.

00:00:28.520 Find fabulous for less.

00:00:30.660 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show,

00:00:32.540 live on Sirius XM Channel 111 every weekday at New East.

00:00:42.020 Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly.

00:00:43.760 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show.

00:00:45.220 Happy Monday on this Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

00:00:48.760 We are just hours away from the first test.

00:00:51.560 It's finally time for people to vote

00:00:53.420 in the 2024 GOP presidential race.

00:00:56.240 And boy, were the gloves off this weekend.

00:00:59.340 And this is how it goes.

00:01:00.800 Always gets a little ugly, a little fugly at the end.

00:01:04.300 One of the big stories, former President Donald Trump

00:01:06.560 turning on Vivek Ramaswamy.

00:01:09.280 I guess, so my team has written this intro for me.

00:01:11.700 God bless them.

00:01:12.280 But I honestly, I think it's the other way around.

00:01:14.520 Vivek at some point, in order to get those MAGA voters

00:01:17.780 to vote for him instead of Trump,

00:01:19.000 had to stick the knife in Trump and he did it.

00:01:21.000 And Trump was not happy.

00:01:23.600 And Trump then turned on Ramaswamy

00:01:25.840 after Ramaswamy turned on Trump.

00:01:27.520 And Ramaswamy's denying he's turned on Trump.

00:01:29.800 But I'll show you the tape and you guys can decide.

00:01:32.420 I mean, it's politics.

00:01:34.300 They have to stick the knife into each other.

00:01:37.340 Everybody only gets one vote.

00:01:39.580 They only get one vote.

00:01:40.960 You cannot vote for both Trump and Vivek.

00:01:43.520 That's just the reality.

00:01:44.400 And so, you know, since they're courting

00:01:47.120 the same general group of people,

00:01:48.740 at some point, Vivek was going to have to make

00:01:51.000 the closing argument on why he's the man.

00:01:52.980 He did that.

00:01:53.680 It got put on tape and on camera.

00:01:56.400 Trump's displeased.

00:01:58.040 But there's something interesting there.

00:02:00.860 I think Vivek has got some power

00:02:02.820 because Trump's message, his personal message

00:02:05.380 about Vivek this morning,

00:02:06.700 was a little less acerbic

00:02:10.420 than his campaign's reaction.

00:02:13.240 Now, why is that?

00:02:14.860 Trump's not known for pulling back in any way

00:02:16.580 when somebody crosses him

00:02:17.900 or you think somebody's disloyal.

00:02:20.460 So does that tell us that Ramaswamy

00:02:22.420 has more power than we knew,

00:02:25.320 at least in Trump's own polling

00:02:27.080 or in the estimation of the big man himself

00:02:29.820 or his team?

00:02:30.800 All of it's like a lot of palace intrigue here

00:02:32.740 that we'll get into.

00:02:34.440 Meanwhile, Governor Nikki Haley

00:02:36.320 has asked the most basic question.

00:02:38.560 Is the sky blue?

00:02:39.780 Is the grass green?

00:02:41.580 Does the alphabet start with A?

00:02:43.180 And failed the test.

00:02:44.900 I'm sorry.

00:02:46.240 She screwed it up.

00:02:47.880 Can a man become a woman? 1.00

00:02:49.580 Completely dodged.

00:02:51.200 I wouldn't give a straight answer.

00:02:52.420 What is it with these politicians?

00:02:54.580 It's a pander.

00:02:56.200 Nikki Haley knows very well

00:02:57.320 what the answer to that is.

00:02:58.240 It's a pander to the radical activist,

00:03:01.700 rabid trans representatives, the lobby. 0.99

00:03:06.600 And she failed. 0.99

00:03:07.820 That was a fail.

00:03:09.100 She can reverse it.

00:03:10.360 Very open-minded to having her reverse it.

00:03:13.260 Until then, thumbs down.

00:03:16.020 You failed.

00:03:16.800 You gave the wrong answer.

00:03:18.020 Plus, Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis

00:03:20.680 breaks her silence on accusations.

00:03:22.240 She hired her lover to prosecute Trump 0.91

00:03:25.780 and then enjoyed the next several months

00:03:28.200 financially benefiting off the case

00:03:29.820 in Napa and in Florida

00:03:32.000 and in the Caribbean,

00:03:34.780 calling the claims,

00:03:35.840 wait for it,

00:03:37.240 racist. 0.97

00:03:38.080 When in doubt,

00:03:39.380 play the race card.

00:03:41.140 We'll show you what she's saying

00:03:42.540 and dissect it together.

00:03:44.020 And we will also hear from the Trump side.

00:03:46.480 We begin with my pal, Dave Rubin.

00:03:50.660 He's host of The Rubin Report.

00:03:52.060 Dave, so great to have you with us

00:03:54.220 on this caucus day.

00:03:56.440 It's finally happening.

00:03:58.360 Megan, if only there was anything in the world

00:04:00.460 that we could possibly find to talk about today.

00:04:03.140 This is very exciting.

00:04:04.860 And you know,

00:04:05.520 it was about six months ago

00:04:07.420 that we had a clip on your show

00:04:09.980 that went very viral

00:04:11.200 where you said to me,

00:04:12.380 Dave,

00:04:12.760 because I'm a DeSantis guy,

00:04:13.800 obviously here in the free state of Florida,

00:04:15.220 you said to me,

00:04:16.620 these Trump people,

00:04:17.520 they're never going to leave Trump.

00:04:18.600 There's nothing DeSantis can do.

00:04:20.400 And I suppose we will begin to find out tonight.

00:04:24.820 Well, I think that's right.

00:04:27.240 I stand by what I said.

00:04:28.860 And you know,

00:04:29.500 people get confused.

00:04:31.600 In the role that I'm in, Dave,

00:04:33.100 I don't endorse anybody.

00:04:35.220 I don't promote anybody.

00:04:37.020 I don't gun for anybody.

00:04:38.100 I try to keep my own commentary

00:04:40.220 and my show open-minded

00:04:41.680 to anybody who's within a certain boundary.

00:04:45.080 Like I'm not going to be going for some kook 1.00

00:04:46.840 who throws his hat in,

00:04:47.860 like Asa Hutchinson,

00:04:48.640 who wants to trans children. 0.87

00:04:50.560 It's a no.

00:04:51.500 But I mean,

00:04:52.180 in general,

00:04:53.020 I want the audience to be able to make up their own mind

00:04:55.360 between these top candidates.

00:04:56.960 And I've never said whether I'm rooting for Trump

00:04:59.300 or rooting for DeSantis

00:05:00.140 or rooting for Vivek,

00:05:01.520 but I see reality,

00:05:03.000 you know,

00:05:03.260 I mean,

00:05:03.480 and I've seen it from the beginning.

00:05:04.700 He's just too big.

00:05:05.780 He's too powerful.

00:05:06.680 He's too beloved.

00:05:08.140 The Republican Party is his.

00:05:10.340 And to me,

00:05:11.040 I think if Ron DeSantis loses Iowa tonight,

00:05:14.040 and by that I mean

00:05:14.740 comes in anything other than a strong second,

00:05:17.360 I think he's going to drop out.

00:05:18.540 They all have to say,

00:05:19.460 I'm going,

00:05:20.320 I'm going to the end.

00:05:21.440 We're going to,

00:05:22.280 it's a lie.

00:05:23.080 I've been covering politics a long,

00:05:24.320 long time.

00:05:24.860 They all say it,

00:05:26.000 and then they all drop out

00:05:26.900 when they have a disappointing finish.

00:05:29.580 And I will totally agree with that,

00:05:31.480 by the way.

00:05:31.980 If that happens,

00:05:32.560 I completely,

00:05:33.240 I'll be sad.

00:05:34.620 I think that,

00:05:35.300 I think Ron DeSantis,

00:05:36.720 while not a talented retail politician,

00:05:38.840 is an extremely talented guy.

00:05:41.920 And he's a strong leader.

00:05:43.400 And I think he'd make a great president.

00:05:46.880 Yeah.

00:05:47.440 Well,

00:05:47.740 I agree with that,

00:05:48.540 of course.

00:05:49.140 But to your point about what happens tonight,

00:05:51.560 look,

00:05:52.020 we will see.

00:05:52.640 DeSantis went to all 99 counties.

00:05:54.200 As everyone knows,

00:05:55.060 he has really good organization in Iowa.

00:05:56.800 If we're to believe the polls,

00:05:58.460 then he has no chance.

00:05:59.980 So yes,

00:06:00.380 a close second would,

00:06:01.660 I guess,

00:06:01.920 sort of be a win,

00:06:02.740 but anything short of that,

00:06:04.420 and then,

00:06:04.940 you know,

00:06:05.240 it's like he's not going to do that well

00:06:06.620 in New Hampshire,

00:06:07.240 likely he would then bank a little more

00:06:08.800 on South Carolina.

00:06:10.060 All this racehorse stuff

00:06:11.140 kind of is what it is.

00:06:12.480 But I would agree with that in premise.

00:06:14.640 What is interesting about tonight

00:06:16.520 is that if DeSantis does well tonight,

00:06:18.980 I think all people need to see

00:06:20.980 is that there's some vulnerability with Trump.

00:06:24.000 And if they see that,

00:06:25.400 then I think a whole bunch of people

00:06:27.160 who actually do like DeSantis,

00:06:28.840 because as you just pointed out,

00:06:30.320 there's very few people

00:06:31.500 except the most hardcore MAGA personality

00:06:34.060 out there that doesn't like DeSantis,

00:06:36.660 right?

00:06:36.860 People are like,

00:06:37.460 oh,

00:06:37.620 there's no drama here.

00:06:38.720 They see the results in Florida.

00:06:40.360 They know about the COVID success

00:06:41.740 and all that.

00:06:42.800 But the thing that he's up against

00:06:44.580 is exactly what you said to me

00:06:46.100 six months ago,

00:06:46.740 which is this kind of Trump monolith.

00:06:49.120 And these people are there

00:06:50.140 no matter what.

00:06:50.940 If they see a little bit

00:06:52.440 of blood in the water,

00:06:53.520 I do think it's possible

00:06:54.860 that some momentum could be built.

00:06:56.800 But look,

00:06:57.060 the strategy clearly was

00:06:58.240 you've got to win Iowa

00:06:59.100 to get that blood in the water.

00:07:00.620 And then we kind of go from there.

00:07:02.280 I also think, Megan,

00:07:03.040 that your analysis

00:07:03.780 of the Vivek-Trump thing

00:07:05.000 is totally on point

00:07:06.300 because it had to come to this, right?

00:07:09.220 If Vivek was going to be successful

00:07:11.240 to any degree,

00:07:12.660 he was going to take people from Trump.

00:07:14.360 So if Trump is looking

00:07:15.460 at the numbers right now

00:07:16.580 or seeing what's going on in Iowa,

00:07:18.180 or even just because of the weather

00:07:19.680 where it looks like

00:07:20.480 the voter turnout

00:07:21.440 will be a little depressed

00:07:22.780 because it's so cold right now,

00:07:24.300 if Trump's like,

00:07:25.360 oh, if the voter turnout is low,

00:07:27.500 that could hurt me.

00:07:28.660 And now if Vivek gets 5% to 10%,

00:07:30.380 those are people

00:07:31.080 that probably would have voted for me. 0.96

00:07:33.360 It had to get to the point

00:07:35.100 where they'd be going after each other.

00:07:36.680 Although Vivek didn't punch back too hard.

00:07:39.940 No, I mean, Vivek,

00:07:42.020 I got a lot of thoughts on all of it.

00:07:45.920 So here's what happened,

00:07:47.120 just so we'll get right to that,

00:07:48.040 because that's probably

00:07:48.840 the most interesting turn of events.

00:07:51.380 I'm fascinated in the fact

00:07:52.800 that Trump pulled his,

00:07:54.300 he pulled back a little this morning.

00:07:56.500 I want to see his internal data, right?

00:07:59.840 It's like never.

00:08:01.560 So something happened here.

00:08:03.040 So we'll take the audience

00:08:04.120 through the sequence of it though,

00:08:05.260 so they can follow the way you and I did.

00:08:06.920 So first things first,

00:08:08.540 we saw Team Trump go after Vivek.

00:08:13.220 And I think a lot of us were like,

00:08:14.820 what happened?

00:08:15.640 Why is Team Trump going after Vivek?

00:08:18.140 And it was, we'll show you why.

00:08:21.300 But okay, so let me find it.

00:08:24.300 Let me find it, let's see.

00:08:27.400 Let me see what page it's on.

00:08:29.460 I have so many pages in my, okay.

00:08:32.760 I think I might have it in front of you.

00:08:34.820 Here it is, here it is.

00:08:35.460 Here's what he posted last night.

00:08:36.800 I got it.

00:08:37.380 Okay.

00:08:37.920 He tweeted out or posted,

00:08:39.620 Vivek started his campaign

00:08:41.000 as a great supporter.

00:08:42.120 Quote, the best president

00:08:43.080 in generations, et cetera.

00:08:44.320 Unfortunately, now all he does

00:08:46.880 is disguise his support

00:08:48.300 in the form of deceitful campaign tricks.

00:08:51.180 Very sly.

00:08:52.360 But a vote for Vivek

00:08:53.160 is a vote for the other side.

00:08:55.420 Don't get duped by this.

00:08:56.900 Vote for Trump.

00:08:57.860 Don't waste your vote.

00:08:59.360 Vivek is not MAGA.

00:09:01.840 The Biden indictments

00:09:03.420 against his political opponent

00:09:04.840 will never be allowed in this country.

00:09:06.100 They are already beginning to fail.

00:09:07.940 MAGA.

00:09:08.260 And his team went after Vivek

00:09:11.400 in even more stark terms, 0.98

00:09:14.000 calling him a fake and a phony. 0.99

00:09:16.680 And they had seen at least

00:09:18.560 this picture of Vivek

00:09:20.640 standing with some, what,

00:09:21.760 eight young guys.

00:09:22.640 They look like in their late teens,

00:09:25.000 maybe early 20s up to 30s.

00:09:27.000 And their T-shirts

00:09:29.380 have a picture of Trump's mugshot

00:09:30.820 and they read,

00:09:31.780 save Trump, vote Vivek.

00:09:34.160 And this, it appears,

00:09:35.900 is Vivek's closing argument.

00:09:37.540 Save Trump, vote Vivek.

00:09:41.760 Save Trump.

00:09:42.380 I don't totally understand it, Dave.

00:09:44.980 Well, and Trump's team also said,

00:09:48.100 Trump doesn't need saving, you fake,

00:09:50.880 and turned on him.

00:09:52.520 And there was also this clip

00:09:55.360 that was making the rounds

00:09:57.160 on social media

00:09:58.060 that then clarified for me

00:09:59.760 a little bit more

00:10:00.560 of how Vivek is making the argument.

00:10:03.180 Here he is with an Iowa voter,

00:10:06.300 a woman.

00:10:07.820 She appears to be,

00:10:08.600 I'd say, in her 60s.

00:10:10.680 And he is trying to turn her.

00:10:12.600 She's team Trump.

00:10:13.540 And you see it real time.

00:10:15.860 Vivek's closing argument,

00:10:16.960 trying to turn her from Trump.

00:10:18.740 This is a vote he wants

00:10:19.500 to take away from Trump

00:10:20.400 and put in the Vivek column.

00:10:21.920 Watch it.

00:10:22.220 I'm scared of you.

00:10:24.060 They are.

00:10:24.500 They're scared of Trump.

00:10:25.360 Oh, they are scared of you.

00:10:26.600 And they will stop at nothing,

00:10:27.760 but we're not going to let them

00:10:28.480 get away with it.

00:10:29.060 I've got fresh legs.

00:10:30.100 I'm not wounded.

00:10:31.240 And they're not going to let

00:10:32.300 this man do it.

00:10:34.200 You know, when you said eliminate,

00:10:35.960 that gave me a chill.

00:10:37.320 Because I'm scared of you.

00:10:38.100 Because you think it's false

00:10:38.920 or because you think it's true?

00:10:39.940 I think it's true.

00:10:41.480 I think they will stop at nothing

00:10:43.060 to stop them.

00:10:44.680 Stop Trump.

00:10:45.500 I am, it's sad,

00:10:46.740 but it's the truth.

00:10:47.420 They say,

00:10:48.440 how do you feel

00:10:49.200 about the United States?

00:10:50.720 And I say,

00:10:51.620 I'm worried and I'm fearful.

00:10:56.460 It's my job

00:10:57.280 that you don't have to feel

00:10:58.220 that way in this country.

00:10:59.260 But we're losing it.

00:11:00.120 We're losing it.

00:11:01.800 It pains me to hear that.

00:11:03.420 You want to save Trump,

00:11:04.160 you vote for me.

00:11:04.960 I'm telling you that.

00:11:05.680 You vote for Trump.

00:11:07.800 You're sending him.

00:11:08.400 He's a sledgehammer.

00:11:09.280 No, but you're sending him

00:11:10.220 to his own demise.

00:11:11.960 You're falling into the trap

00:11:13.040 that not only a country's falling

00:11:14.000 and that he's falling.

00:11:14.600 You want to save Trump,

00:11:15.400 you vote for me.

00:11:17.420 Mm, there it is.

00:11:19.100 If you vote for Trump,

00:11:20.300 you're sending him

00:11:21.160 to his own demise.

00:11:22.200 If you want to save Trump,

00:11:23.860 you vote for me.

00:11:25.140 Go ahead.

00:11:26.120 Well, it's a pretty crazy argument

00:11:27.880 to some extent.

00:11:28.560 Like, I get what he's doing there

00:11:30.120 with that person

00:11:31.060 who loves Trump,

00:11:32.160 but, you know,

00:11:32.660 obviously likes him

00:11:33.720 and he's saying,

00:11:34.220 you know,

00:11:34.400 I'm younger and everything else.

00:11:35.520 But the argument

00:11:36.380 sort of falls flat

00:11:37.560 once you think about it

00:11:38.380 for a second

00:11:38.800 because it's like,

00:11:39.480 okay, if the system is set up

00:11:41.840 and he talks about

00:11:42.640 the system a lot,

00:11:43.320 if the system is set up

00:11:44.420 to take out Trump

00:11:45.760 because he is such a threat,

00:11:47.420 then what in essence

00:11:48.320 is he saying?

00:11:49.040 Is he saying,

00:11:49.580 well, I'm less of a threat,

00:11:50.680 so vote for me.

00:11:51.600 You know, like,

00:11:52.260 the system will let me in.

00:11:53.940 It's sort of,

00:11:54.680 it's a really self-deflating argument

00:11:56.740 to some extent,

00:11:57.800 but I see what he's getting at there.

00:11:59.420 Again,

00:11:59.820 I think what Trump thought

00:12:01.260 originally was that,

00:12:02.940 because I really do believe this,

00:12:04.060 Megan,

00:12:04.200 I don't have evidence for it,

00:12:05.220 but I believe that

00:12:06.120 Vivek and Trump

00:12:06.740 had a plan together

00:12:08.080 and the plan was,

00:12:09.460 you're going to go to the debates,

00:12:10.380 I'm not going to.

00:12:11.160 You're going to attack everybody,

00:12:12.400 call them all sellouts, 0.99

00:12:13.720 destroy everybody, 1.00

00:12:14.820 fight with the media,

00:12:15.440 do all my stuff.

00:12:16.920 And then I think in Trump's head

00:12:18.060 at the end,

00:12:18.620 what he thought was

00:12:19.460 we'd get to Iowa

00:12:20.400 and Vivek,

00:12:21.940 it would sort of be like Andrew Yang,

00:12:23.540 that nobody would really support him.

00:12:25.300 It would kind of look cool

00:12:26.480 a little bit,

00:12:27.260 but then Vivek,

00:12:28.180 to his credit,

00:12:28.860 did get support.

00:12:30.060 He absolutely does have support.

00:12:32.220 And even though he's not my guy,

00:12:33.580 he did a really nice job

00:12:34.880 in a lot of those debates

00:12:35.760 and everything else.

00:12:36.460 So it got to a place,

00:12:37.980 I think,

00:12:38.380 suddenly where Trump was like,

00:12:39.760 uh-oh, uh-oh,

00:12:40.420 now I have a problem on my hands

00:12:41.780 because he actually is

00:12:43.040 taking voters away from me.

00:12:44.860 And he showed you

00:12:45.680 how he's doing that

00:12:46.760 in that clip right there.

00:12:48.460 So that's where the tension is.

00:12:50.180 I would also say that,

00:12:51.440 to Vivek's credit,

00:12:52.840 you know,

00:12:53.100 MAGA will go on post-Trump.

00:12:54.880 Donald Trump,

00:12:55.500 whether he wins this election or not,

00:12:56.800 or whether he's the nominee or not,

00:12:58.300 the guy is 80 years old.

00:12:59.760 He will not be here forever.

00:13:01.480 Someone will have to take that mantle.

00:13:03.420 Now, I, to me, of course,

00:13:05.120 DeSantis would be a better guy

00:13:06.440 in terms of delivering

00:13:07.360 America First principles.

00:13:08.520 But I think what Vivek is seeing,

00:13:11.120 what Candace Owens, 1.00

00:13:12.120 who, by the way,

00:13:12.700 you know,

00:13:12.900 Candace went all in on Vivek

00:13:14.300 and Trump has said nothing,

00:13:15.760 which also shows you

00:13:16.780 there's a little fear

00:13:17.520 in Trump's space right now.

00:13:20.380 But I think Vivek,

00:13:22.060 Candace,

00:13:22.880 and, say, a Tucker

00:13:23.580 are all planning

00:13:24.780 on America First post-Trump.

00:13:26.540 And that's really what this is about

00:13:28.000 more than anything else.

00:13:30.080 Okay.

00:13:30.620 So that would make some sense.

00:13:32.080 I have some thoughts

00:13:32.640 on that clip, first of all.

00:13:34.740 To me,

00:13:35.740 Vivek is good

00:13:36.760 at making the person feel,

00:13:38.640 any person feel,

00:13:39.740 like he feels their pain.

00:13:41.740 He's there.

00:13:42.980 You know,

00:13:43.220 he gets it.

00:13:44.520 What I see

00:13:45.300 as a sort of,

00:13:46.400 you know,

00:13:47.040 old-school journalist

00:13:48.020 and having watched

00:13:48.880 these politicians now

00:13:49.640 for decades

00:13:50.060 is he can't get away from her.

00:13:52.360 He's trying.

00:13:53.700 If you watch the full clip,

00:13:55.260 every sentence,

00:13:56.060 he's trying to wrap it.

00:13:56.880 He can't get away from her

00:13:57.580 fast enough.

00:13:58.380 He keeps trying to like,

00:13:59.220 okay, and now it's a hug

00:14:00.140 and goodbye.

00:14:01.180 And that's why I need you

00:14:02.320 to vote for me goodbye.

00:14:03.140 And I get it.

00:14:03.660 He's got a lot of people

00:14:04.280 to talk to.

00:14:05.300 But I mean,

00:14:05.680 to me,

00:14:05.920 it just underscores

00:14:06.520 how insincere politicians are.

00:14:08.040 It's not just Vivek.

00:14:09.660 Politicians are insincere.

00:14:11.240 I don't believe any of them

00:14:12.680 when they try to pull you aside,

00:14:14.000 look into your eyes

00:14:14.660 and feel your pain.

00:14:15.580 They're trying to work you

00:14:16.460 for your vote.

00:14:16.940 That's it.

00:14:17.500 That lady seems very savvy, 1.00

00:14:19.060 by the way.

00:14:19.500 She seems to like,

00:14:20.180 get it.

00:14:20.500 She's like,

00:14:20.900 I'm with Trump.

00:14:22.760 I don't know.

00:14:24.120 And then,

00:14:24.600 you know,

00:14:25.020 he actually manages

00:14:26.120 like the fake cry

00:14:27.220 that in no world

00:14:28.340 do I believe

00:14:28.780 that was actual,

00:14:29.960 an actual cry.

00:14:30.840 Vivek's hugging her

00:14:31.560 and then he's crying.

00:14:32.500 He's crying.

00:14:33.320 He's not crying.

00:14:34.060 It's that's why

00:14:34.940 I don't like politicians.

00:14:35.700 I don't even like people

00:14:36.620 who are regular people

00:14:37.440 who become politicians.

00:14:38.260 When they become politicians,

00:14:39.240 I turn on them.

00:14:40.400 I just feel like

00:14:41.280 they all wind up 0.95

00:14:43.100 playing this disgusting game.

00:14:45.240 And I guess what we're, 0.80

00:14:46.040 I'm talking out of both sides

00:14:47.280 of my mouth

00:14:47.660 because one of my complaints

00:14:49.100 about DeSantis is

00:14:49.980 he doesn't play it very well.

00:14:52.360 Well,

00:14:52.560 that's what I,

00:14:53.080 yeah,

00:14:53.240 I was just going to ask you

00:14:54.160 about that

00:14:54.600 because he doesn't play it well.

00:14:56.140 I mean,

00:14:56.660 you know,

00:14:57.220 it's funny

00:14:57.540 because I've been with him

00:14:58.520 and seen him be loose

00:14:59.660 and seen him had whiskey

00:15:00.760 and smoke a cigar

00:15:01.780 and joke around

00:15:02.600 and all those things,

00:15:03.560 but it's obviously

00:15:04.320 not his strength

00:15:05.200 and we do live in a time

00:15:06.320 of social media

00:15:07.060 and everyone wants it

00:15:07.740 you to own everybody

00:15:08.580 or whatever,

00:15:09.320 but it is kind of funny

00:15:10.080 because I agree with you

00:15:10.980 and I think one of,

00:15:11.860 one of the things

00:15:12.360 that I learned in this cycle

00:15:13.620 was that,

00:15:14.460 you know,

00:15:14.580 I've become friendly

00:15:15.280 with a lot of these people.

00:15:16.680 Nikki's,

00:15:17.280 I'm not patting myself

00:15:18.140 on the back.

00:15:18.560 Nikki has been to my house

00:15:19.660 for dinner.

00:15:20.380 Like,

00:15:20.800 I don't like

00:15:21.840 sort of knowing these people

00:15:23.280 and then having to criticize them

00:15:24.800 and all that

00:15:25.220 and I think going forward

00:15:26.180 after this,

00:15:26.700 I am going to separate myself

00:15:27.920 from that a little bit more

00:15:29.180 because if anyone

00:15:30.240 does what we do,

00:15:32.000 you want to be

00:15:32.520 as impartial as possible.

00:15:34.080 I don't hide

00:15:34.500 what my biases are,

00:15:35.760 but when you,

00:15:36.240 when you just like people personally

00:15:37.820 and then you see

00:15:38.600 their faults publicly,

00:15:39.600 it can make it

00:15:40.520 a little bit complex.

00:15:42.060 Yeah,

00:15:42.600 and we talked about this last time.

00:15:43.620 This is why I don't go to,

00:15:44.720 I don't go to dinner

00:15:45.440 with Nikki Haley.

00:15:46.240 I don't go to,

00:15:47.060 I knew Vivek personally

00:15:48.480 before his campaign

00:15:50.140 and that was one thing

00:15:51.540 and spoke with him privately

00:15:53.160 a number of times

00:15:54.120 before his campaign,

00:15:55.080 but never,

00:15:55.560 never since.

00:15:56.980 It's just not my thing.

00:15:58.020 Like I,

00:15:58.480 I have to put it,

00:15:59.580 they all go at arm's length

00:16:01.040 once they run for office.

00:16:02.080 It's too important to me

00:16:03.280 to be able to maintain

00:16:04.500 some semblance of objectivity

00:16:06.400 and my audience

00:16:07.480 has given me feedback

00:16:08.320 that they don't think

00:16:09.040 I like Vivek

00:16:09.720 and it's not that

00:16:11.080 I don't like Vivek,

00:16:12.120 it's that I'm happy

00:16:13.820 to hit Vivek

00:16:14.460 when he does something

00:16:15.100 I think is problematic

00:16:16.140 and I'll,

00:16:17.160 I'm happy to compliment him,

00:16:18.480 you know,

00:16:19.140 in the opposite

00:16:19.620 and the same is true of Trump.

00:16:21.100 So if you listen to me

00:16:22.180 on one day,

00:16:22.720 you think I like the guy

00:16:23.540 or if you listen to me

00:16:24.080 on another,

00:16:24.520 you think I might not

00:16:25.280 but my goal is basically

00:16:26.200 just to try to keep

00:16:26.940 an open mind to everyone

00:16:28.900 so that their supporters

00:16:29.920 feel like this is a place

00:16:30.980 they can come

00:16:31.460 for honest analysis,

00:16:32.720 may please them some days,

00:16:33.980 may displease them others

00:16:34.960 but all these people

00:16:36.260 and I've hit DeSantis,

00:16:37.740 I've hit Haley,

00:16:38.400 I've hit Trump,

00:16:39.060 I've hit Vivek

00:16:39.720 and I've praised all of them too.

00:16:41.440 God knows I've hit Joe Biden

00:16:42.480 but let me get back

00:16:43.860 to the Trump-Vivek saga.

00:16:46.360 So then Vivek comes out

00:16:49.780 last night with a,

00:16:51.460 yes,

00:16:52.200 I've seen,

00:16:53.060 I've seen the post.

00:16:55.020 It's an unfortunate move

00:16:56.480 by his campaign advisors.

00:16:58.500 All right.

00:16:59.440 It's a move by Trump.

00:17:00.640 Trump himself posted it.

00:17:03.320 Trump's campaign advisors

00:17:04.380 are not hitting Vivek

00:17:05.420 without the okay

00:17:06.420 from the big man.

00:17:07.540 So this is him

00:17:08.100 trying to make the excuse

00:17:09.080 like my husband

00:17:10.020 didn't want to hit me.

00:17:11.420 I deserved it,

00:17:12.480 right?

00:17:13.260 He didn't want,

00:17:14.040 it was the drugs.

00:17:14.720 Like, no,

00:17:15.700 it was Trump.

00:17:16.400 He hit you

00:17:16.940 because you did what you did.

00:17:19.100 It's fine.

00:17:19.620 Just own it.

00:17:20.660 I don't think friendly fire

00:17:22.040 is helpful.

00:17:23.080 Then why'd you do it, Vivek?

00:17:25.460 Trump did not friendly fire at you.

00:17:27.180 You friendly fired at him.

00:17:29.180 You told that lady, 1.00

00:17:31.260 save Trump,

00:17:32.060 vote for me.

00:17:32.660 If you vote for Trump,

00:17:34.420 you're sending him

00:17:35.480 to his demise.

00:17:36.940 I have fresh legs.

00:17:38.620 I'm not wounded.

00:17:40.280 That's you firing at Trump.

00:17:42.720 You're lucky he didn't respond

00:17:44.400 with a bigger bazooka.

00:17:46.240 Then he goes on to say

00:17:47.300 Trump was the greatest president

00:17:48.620 of the 21st century.

00:17:50.920 21st.

00:17:51.680 Now, of course,

00:17:52.180 he thinks Trump

00:17:52.660 is a better president

00:17:54.300 than Bill Clinton

00:17:55.520 or Joe Biden

00:17:56.680 or Barack Obama.

00:17:58.020 So what he's basically

00:17:58.720 saying there is

00:17:59.380 he's,

00:18:00.020 I like him better

00:18:00.460 than I like George W.

00:18:01.960 That's it.

00:18:02.800 Right now he's starting to limit it.

00:18:03.920 Used to say in my lifetime

00:18:04.820 or whatever.

00:18:05.900 Now it's down to 21st century,

00:18:07.340 which is more limited.

00:18:08.660 And then he goes on to say,

00:18:09.700 and I'm not going to criticize him

00:18:10.940 in response

00:18:11.520 to this late attack.

00:18:12.400 Like, right,

00:18:13.340 you're doing it behind closed doors

00:18:14.860 to the face of Iowa voters

00:18:16.300 saying he's wounded

00:18:17.320 and he can't do it.

00:18:18.840 They'll destroy him.

00:18:20.040 And you're seriously worried about,

00:18:21.260 so worried about him

00:18:22.180 that people need to vote for you

00:18:23.600 because you're the one

00:18:24.380 who can get the ball

00:18:24.900 across the finish line.

00:18:25.860 All of this may be great politics.

00:18:27.500 I have no,

00:18:28.040 like,

00:18:28.400 I'm not running for president.

00:18:29.460 I don't know how I'd get voters

00:18:30.500 to vote for me in Iowa.

00:18:31.600 But at some point,

00:18:32.700 the divorce had to come,

00:18:33.820 Dave Rubin.

00:18:34.260 And now what I see here

00:18:36.520 is hypocrisy

00:18:37.720 or, you know,

00:18:39.080 spin

00:18:39.660 and him trying to be like,

00:18:41.420 I was attacked,

00:18:42.880 but I'm going to take the high road

00:18:44.780 and reject this friendly fire

00:18:46.780 from the Trump campaign aides.

00:18:48.400 It's a lie.

00:18:48.880 All of it,

00:18:49.300 all of that is not true.

00:18:51.240 Right.

00:18:51.380 Well,

00:18:51.600 a ton of people online

00:18:52.640 are calling him out for it

00:18:53.760 because it's like,

00:18:54.420 wait a minute,

00:18:54.800 wait a minute.

00:18:55.220 If you really think

00:18:56.360 what you said to that woman

00:18:57.480 is true,

00:18:57.840 that you're the one guy

00:18:58.820 who can save Trump

00:18:59.760 from the system

00:19:00.500 and save him from himself,

00:19:02.100 then when he attacks you,

00:19:03.300 you have to attack back now. 0.99

00:19:04.880 The freaking caucus is tonight. 0.99

00:19:06.960 This would be your chance 0.99

00:19:07.980 to be like MAGA,

00:19:09.220 get on board.

00:19:10.220 I'm younger.

00:19:10.900 I have energy.

00:19:11.680 The system will let me in.

00:19:12.820 The argument is so obvious

00:19:14.300 if you want to make the argument.

00:19:16.320 But if you're not really running

00:19:18.580 for president this time around

00:19:20.080 and you're running to figure out

00:19:21.660 who takes MAGA after Trump,

00:19:23.560 then you would play

00:19:24.660 with soft gloves, right?

00:19:25.920 You wouldn't,

00:19:26.920 you take a hit

00:19:27.840 and then not even really attack back.

00:19:30.240 And that's why I think

00:19:31.040 he lost a lot of,

00:19:31.840 a lot of cred today.

00:19:32.900 By the way,

00:19:33.200 there's something else

00:19:33.820 interesting brewing online

00:19:34.920 right now,

00:19:35.600 which is that a lot

00:19:36.900 of the MAGA influencers,

00:19:38.800 they've really been

00:19:39.780 very pro-Vivec

00:19:40.960 because he was basically

00:19:42.500 a Trump surrogate

00:19:43.500 this whole time.

00:19:44.440 As DeSantis said yesterday

00:19:45.640 in Iowa,

00:19:46.180 he's like,

00:19:46.480 I've never seen a candidate

00:19:47.420 who really is running

00:19:48.600 for another candidate before.

00:19:49.940 I've never seen that either

00:19:51.000 in my life.

00:19:52.160 And a lot of the MAGA influencers

00:19:53.800 who love Vivec, 0.99

00:19:54.740 they're getting a lot of crap 0.99

00:19:55.800 suddenly because MAGA 0.99

00:19:57.140 is now pissed.

00:19:58.440 Trump has signaled to them,

00:20:00.100 all right,

00:20:00.480 he's on the table

00:20:02.200 for dinner.

00:20:02.820 Let's go.

00:20:04.800 He's on the table

00:20:05.800 for dinner.

00:20:07.000 Exactly.

00:20:07.640 So,

00:20:07.800 so Vivec says,

00:20:09.760 I'm not,

00:20:10.360 I'm not going to respond

00:20:11.040 to the friendly fire

00:20:11.960 that he's launching me.

00:20:12.940 Like,

00:20:13.320 okay,

00:20:13.560 I do think it's important

00:20:15.060 who launched the fire first

00:20:16.160 because it was

00:20:16.680 an inevitable development.

00:20:18.460 There's a limited group

00:20:19.720 of voters in Iowa

00:20:20.900 and they're both playing

00:20:22.140 for the same group.

00:20:23.540 This,

00:20:24.200 it had to happen.

00:20:25.600 So,

00:20:26.900 Trump did what he did,

00:20:28.040 Vivec responded,

00:20:28.840 and then Vivec doubles down

00:20:30.840 who says,

00:20:32.140 here's the plot

00:20:32.840 and it's hiding in plain sight.

00:20:34.140 And he has tweeted

00:20:34.880 this report before.

00:20:36.440 Narrow this to a two-horse race

00:20:38.240 between Trump and Haley.

00:20:40.240 Eliminate Trump. 0.98

00:20:41.600 Drop their puppet 0.97

00:20:42.420 into the White House.

00:20:43.980 Then he goes on.

00:20:44.980 This is the obsequious

00:20:46.160 Vivec part. 0.85

00:20:47.460 I respect the hell

00:20:48.600 out of Trump.

00:20:49.720 He's the best president

00:20:50.540 of the 21st century.

00:20:51.740 Again,

00:20:52.420 definitely better

00:20:53.600 than George W.

00:20:54.920 I've defended him

00:20:55.860 at every step

00:20:56.360 against the unjust persecutions.

00:20:58.240 I filed the Supreme Court's

00:20:59.220 brief this week,

00:20:59.800 laying out the winning arguments

00:21:00.740 to overrule Colorado's

00:21:01.900 disastrous ruling.

00:21:02.900 I filed FOIA demands

00:21:04.040 against the Biden administration.

00:21:05.240 I went to Miami

00:21:05.840 to rally outside the courthouse

00:21:06.920 against Joe Biden

00:21:07.600 and Merrick Garland's

00:21:08.700 unjust federal

00:21:09.240 invitement of Trump.

00:21:10.000 I called on every Republican

00:21:11.040 to remove themselves

00:21:11.760 from the ballots

00:21:12.260 of Maine and Colorado

00:21:12.940 if they remove Trump.

00:21:14.040 But open your eyes

00:21:14.860 to the hard truth.

00:21:16.220 This system will stop

00:21:17.020 at nothing to keep

00:21:17.620 this man away

00:21:18.120 from the White House.

00:21:18.980 Just because it's wrong

00:21:19.800 doesn't mean it won't happen.

00:21:20.900 And we owe it to our nation

00:21:21.900 to take America first forward.

00:21:24.360 To take America first forward.

00:21:26.040 So this is him

00:21:27.180 kissing the ring

00:21:28.000 and getting as close

00:21:29.260 to the line of

00:21:30.380 Trump can't do it.

00:21:33.320 Only I can

00:21:34.940 as he can get

00:21:36.740 without really poking

00:21:38.560 the bear,

00:21:39.580 or as I call him,

00:21:40.220 the gorilla

00:21:40.720 right in the eyes

00:21:42.200 to where he takes

00:21:43.200 up the big claw

00:21:43.980 and it's...

00:21:45.080 Well, he's trying

00:21:46.720 to have it both ways.

00:21:47.820 And again,

00:21:48.540 I get what he's trying to do.

00:21:50.580 I also get

00:21:51.500 how Trump used him.

00:21:53.080 Trump is a master manipulator

00:21:54.860 and he used him

00:21:55.820 to do his bidding

00:21:56.660 at the debates,

00:21:57.960 run the campaign

00:21:58.760 to attack

00:21:59.480 DeSantis and Haley.

00:22:00.960 But once Vivek

00:22:02.620 got momentum

00:22:03.320 and he does

00:22:04.200 have momentum,

00:22:05.220 if that 5%

00:22:07.140 or 10%

00:22:07.680 that he's going

00:22:08.220 to get tonight

00:22:08.740 matters.

00:22:09.460 And who knows, right?

00:22:10.360 Like, what if DeSantis

00:22:11.140 wins tonight

00:22:12.340 by three points

00:22:13.340 and Vivek gets 10 points?

00:22:14.600 Those are 10 points

00:22:15.440 that likely Trump

00:22:17.080 would have got

00:22:17.500 because the Trump people

00:22:18.280 liked Vivek

00:22:19.040 until yesterday.

00:22:20.400 So it was a sort of

00:22:21.440 match made in hell

00:22:22.420 one way or another.

00:22:24.300 But to me,

00:22:25.220 it's like,

00:22:25.600 Vivek,

00:22:25.900 you now have your opportunity

00:22:27.120 because everyone that...

00:22:28.360 We know this.

00:22:28.920 Everyone that gets close

00:22:29.700 to Trump 0.77

00:22:30.060 eventually gets burned, right?

00:22:31.420 Everybody he brought

00:22:32.380 into the last administration

00:22:33.480 eventually gets burned.

00:22:35.420 So Vivek,

00:22:36.060 you got pretty damn close.

00:22:37.460 So why not go

00:22:38.580 all the way right now

00:22:39.540 and try it?

00:22:40.520 Why not do it?

00:22:41.440 If your whole message

00:22:42.280 is truth,

00:22:43.340 then truthfully go

00:22:44.940 for exactly what you said

00:22:46.560 to that woman right now.

00:22:47.880 Today's your opportunity.

00:22:49.460 But I think he's made it clear

00:22:50.320 he's just not going to do that.

00:22:52.160 No, he's not going to do it.

00:22:53.540 So it's very...

00:22:55.020 I mean, like he...

00:22:55.880 Boy, he has a needle

00:22:57.440 to thread.

00:22:58.200 Vivek does it.

00:22:58.960 He is like sewing

00:23:00.200 like Betsy Ross. 1.00

00:23:01.740 There we go.

00:23:02.340 He's just sewing,

00:23:03.040 sewing, sewing.

00:23:03.420 So now here...

00:23:06.020 Here's the interesting...

00:23:07.300 The most interesting part

00:23:08.520 of all.

00:23:09.380 7.30 this morning,

00:23:11.400 Trump posts

00:23:12.460 on Truth Circle

00:23:13.400 social.

00:23:15.160 A vote for Vivek

00:23:16.220 is a wasted vote.

00:23:17.440 Okay, fine.

00:23:18.100 We've heard that before

00:23:18.840 from, you know,

00:23:19.420 then the next line.

00:23:21.160 I like Vivek,

00:23:22.540 but he played it

00:23:23.440 too cute with us.

00:23:24.960 Caucus tonight,

00:23:25.760 vote for Trump,

00:23:26.480 build up the numbers.

00:23:27.600 In November,

00:23:28.020 we must take

00:23:28.600 our troubled nation

00:23:29.320 back from crooked Joe Biden,

00:23:30.700 blah, blah, blah.

00:23:31.060 I like Vivek.

00:23:33.160 I like Vivek,

00:23:34.140 but he played it

00:23:34.760 too cute with us.

00:23:36.400 Now, why is Donald Trump

00:23:38.460 including that?

00:23:40.700 Why did he update

00:23:42.160 his message

00:23:43.060 from last night

00:23:44.160 to...

00:23:45.300 And his campaign's message 0.55

00:23:46.280 of he's a fake. 0.98

00:23:48.780 Don't vote for this fake. 0.96

00:23:50.320 And he's not MAGA

00:23:51.420 to I like him.

00:23:53.020 I like him.

00:23:53.880 That's what leads me

00:23:54.760 to wonder

00:23:55.180 what are they seeing

00:23:56.580 inside MAGA?

00:23:58.740 There is something

00:23:59.780 very interesting brewing.

00:24:01.240 And as I said before,

00:24:02.120 there is going to be a time,

00:24:04.240 whether it is today

00:24:05.300 or next week

00:24:06.340 or in two years from now

00:24:07.700 or five years from now

00:24:09.100 if Trump becomes president,

00:24:10.060 that it will be post-Trump.

00:24:12.320 And I think Vivek

00:24:13.240 and Candace

00:24:14.560 and Tucker

00:24:15.360 are the three

00:24:16.040 that are planning

00:24:16.620 on that move.

00:24:17.820 And Trump is suddenly realizing

00:24:19.240 that he...

00:24:20.560 You know,

00:24:20.720 Trump has basically created

00:24:22.220 a new political movement

00:24:23.440 because it's not conservative,

00:24:24.740 it's not liberal,

00:24:25.400 it's anything else.

00:24:25.840 It's whatever Trump believes

00:24:26.860 at any given moment.

00:24:28.180 That can work for a while,

00:24:29.400 but suddenly

00:24:30.060 it's starting to look

00:24:31.360 a little shaky, right?

00:24:33.000 Because Vivek has come in

00:24:34.200 and there's new energy there.

00:24:35.780 And Trump is an energy guy

00:24:37.220 and he's going,

00:24:37.880 oh, there's actual energy there.

00:24:39.620 I chase energy.

00:24:40.860 That's what the whole movement is.

00:24:43.160 It's constantly chasing energy.

00:24:45.100 So they made a deal

00:24:46.740 that in some ways

00:24:48.260 might wound them both right now

00:24:49.960 because it could take votes away

00:24:51.460 from Trump tonight

00:24:52.760 and going forward.

00:24:53.780 and it could hurt Vivek

00:24:55.680 going forward

00:24:57.960 in terms of how MAGA

00:24:58.860 likes him

00:25:00.080 or doesn't like him.

00:25:01.580 So it might wound them both.

00:25:03.540 This is like when you hire

00:25:04.400 the hot nanny. 0.91

00:25:05.620 You know?

00:25:06.260 She comes in,

00:25:06.820 she could really help you.

00:25:08.140 There are real advantages.

00:25:09.720 You know,

00:25:10.040 like you're overlooking

00:25:11.060 the fact that she's

00:25:11.820 this incredibly beautiful,

00:25:12.780 dynamic young woman.

00:25:13.900 But like,

00:25:14.160 you really need a nanny. 1.00

00:25:15.040 She seems upbeat.

00:25:16.020 And before you know it, 1.00

00:25:16.960 if you have a shitty husband, 1.00

00:25:18.080 he's looking at the hot nanny 1.00

00:25:19.400 and Vivek is the hot nanny

00:25:21.420 and Trump's the older version

00:25:23.340 who just had a baby,

00:25:24.620 isn't feeling all that

00:25:25.480 it's a strained analogy.

00:25:28.360 But I'm just saying like,

00:25:29.440 be careful what you wish for

00:25:30.480 because he allowed

00:25:32.080 this young whippersnapper

00:25:34.220 who's got,

00:25:35.340 you know,

00:25:36.100 vivacity and vigor

00:25:37.880 and a very successful

00:25:39.920 business record like Trump

00:25:41.160 on his record.

00:25:42.640 He allowed him

00:25:43.780 into the MAGA fold.

00:25:45.360 You know,

00:25:45.460 he could have kept him out.

00:25:46.180 He could have ripped him early.

00:25:47.140 Right.

00:25:47.540 And now,

00:25:48.340 you know,

00:25:49.000 a lot of these voters

00:25:50.220 are kind of looking at Vivek

00:25:51.980 as like,

00:25:52.520 you know what?

00:25:53.840 He actually does have fresh legs.

00:25:55.960 Maybe he is the answer.

00:25:57.320 He doesn't have

00:25:57.980 four criminal indictments.

00:26:00.160 And,

00:26:00.400 you know,

00:26:00.740 if there's any,

00:26:02.180 like if Vivek wound up

00:26:03.600 playing the inside straight

00:26:05.120 on this whole thing

00:26:06.060 and arresting

00:26:07.200 this thing away from Trump

00:26:09.340 by being the younger,

00:26:11.020 fresh-legged version,

00:26:12.820 it would be the most brilliant

00:26:14.280 political move of all time.

00:26:15.540 Now,

00:26:15.640 the numbers don't suggest

00:26:16.400 that's about to happen,

00:26:17.300 but.

00:26:17.840 Right.

00:26:18.080 That's the thing.

00:26:18.800 If you're going to do it,

00:26:19.820 then go ahead and do it

00:26:20.920 because the real question here

00:26:22.180 is what did Trump think

00:26:23.400 was going to happen?

00:26:24.220 If he,

00:26:24.860 as you said,

00:26:25.260 he let him in the fold.

00:26:26.280 We know it.

00:26:26.740 All the Trump meme makers,

00:26:28.520 all of the Trump influencers,

00:26:30.020 they've been playing footsie

00:26:31.160 with him

00:26:31.620 and promoting Vivek's stuff

00:26:33.080 and all of that.

00:26:34.320 But what did Trump think

00:26:35.420 was going to happen

00:26:36.060 the day before?

00:26:36.740 Did he think,

00:26:37.220 oh,

00:26:37.400 all of these people

00:26:38.180 are going to kind of love him 1.00

00:26:39.280 because he's useless 0.98

00:26:40.260 and then no one's 0.99

00:26:41.180 going to vote for him?

00:26:42.240 So maybe Trump

00:26:43.080 didn't make that last connection

00:26:44.620 that,

00:26:45.000 oh,

00:26:45.080 if you kind of prop somebody up

00:26:47.120 and you use him

00:26:48.540 as your surrogate 0.93

00:26:49.480 at the debates

00:26:50.280 and if all your influencers

00:26:51.820 do videos with him

00:26:53.240 and say nice things about him

00:26:54.900 and connect him

00:26:55.560 to America first,

00:26:56.780 well,

00:26:57.060 what was going to happen

00:26:58.100 right at the last moment

00:27:00.080 that we are at right now?

00:27:01.460 So tonight is going to be

00:27:02.660 super interesting

00:27:03.580 because we will see

00:27:05.540 which way those people show up.

00:27:07.520 I mean,

00:27:07.700 maybe,

00:27:08.060 maybe Trump's just scared

00:27:09.600 the hell out of everybody

00:27:10.500 and no one's going to vote

00:27:11.340 for Vivek.

00:27:11.700 We'll see.

00:27:13.500 Vivek,

00:27:13.960 according to the final

00:27:14.560 Des Moines Register

00:27:15.340 NBC News poll,

00:27:16.900 Vivek is at 8% in Iowa,

00:27:19.160 which is not threatening

00:27:19.880 to anybody,

00:27:20.500 but it's 8%

00:27:21.280 that could potentially be Trump's

00:27:22.640 and what people are looking

00:27:24.480 at right now in Iowa

00:27:25.520 because Trump's so far ahead.

00:27:27.180 He's got 48,

00:27:28.520 just so people know,

00:27:29.360 the latest numbers are Trump 48,

00:27:31.280 according to this respected poll.

00:27:33.500 Haley's now in second at 20,

00:27:35.800 DeSantis at 16

00:27:37.080 and Ramaswamy at eight.

00:27:39.060 I'll give you the asterix

00:27:41.060 that the woman behind this poll

00:27:42.400 is giving on those Haley numbers.

00:27:44.140 The short version is

00:27:45.140 she's like,

00:27:46.140 don't put too much stock

00:27:47.160 into that number.

00:27:48.820 But they're not very committed.

00:27:50.780 They're not.

00:27:51.480 Right,

00:27:51.660 exactly.

00:27:52.120 And it's like mostly

00:27:53.380 left-leaning people.

00:27:54.460 It's not real conservatives

00:27:55.460 in Iowa,

00:27:56.100 but Vivek has eight.

00:27:58.480 So I think we can fairly say

00:27:59.960 most of those people

00:28:00.560 would go for Trump

00:28:01.200 if they're not going to vote

00:28:01.920 for Vivek.

00:28:02.720 So if they did,

00:28:03.680 that would put Trump at 56.

00:28:05.260 And what people are saying

00:28:06.400 right now going into tonight

00:28:07.740 is the thing to look for,

00:28:09.820 and this is what journalists do

00:28:11.520 because there's not much

00:28:12.160 to look for, right?

00:28:13.160 It's like,

00:28:13.700 it seems pretty clear

00:28:14.380 Trump's going to win.

00:28:15.440 They've surprised us

00:28:16.180 in Iowa before.

00:28:17.300 Look what the margin is.

00:28:18.600 What's the margin?

00:28:19.560 Does Trump look weaker

00:28:20.440 than expected?

00:28:21.260 Is there an opportunity

00:28:22.080 for Haley moving

00:28:22.940 to her strongest state,

00:28:24.380 New Hampshire?

00:28:25.820 And I think to some extent,

00:28:27.500 maybe Trump believes that

00:28:28.380 because I think he'd like

00:28:29.280 that 8% to be in his column.

00:28:31.840 That's exactly what

00:28:32.700 it all came down to today,

00:28:33.960 right?

00:28:34.380 Trump is going,

00:28:35.320 oh man,

00:28:35.700 I want to blow this thing

00:28:36.660 out of the water 0.66

00:28:37.140 and shut this all down.

00:28:38.560 And now he's realizing

00:28:39.560 I might've created

00:28:40.440 a little bit of a monster

00:28:41.420 with Vivek,

00:28:42.140 so I got to shut that down too.

00:28:43.800 So yes,

00:28:44.180 he wants to absolutely

00:28:46.120 crush it tonight

00:28:46.860 because as I said

00:28:47.600 a few minutes ago,

00:28:48.780 look,

00:28:49.320 putting aside

00:28:49.920 if DeSantis can win tonight,

00:28:51.000 I actually do think

00:28:51.720 it's a possibility.

00:28:52.660 His organization

00:28:53.260 has been great down there,

00:28:54.520 but I might be looking

00:28:55.380 through rose-colored glasses

00:28:56.860 on that one.

00:28:57.420 I'll grant you that.

00:28:58.380 But if he comes in

00:28:59.340 a much closer second,

00:29:01.120 it does change the equation

00:29:02.960 because if we've been told

00:29:04.960 this entire time,

00:29:05.800 the guy doesn't even

00:29:06.400 have to debate

00:29:06.880 because he's up 40,

00:29:07.720 50 points.

00:29:08.340 Well,

00:29:08.440 now if he only wins

00:29:09.700 tonight by like eight points,

00:29:11.080 then it's like,

00:29:11.660 well,

00:29:12.700 maybe this thing

00:29:13.320 isn't as impervious

00:29:14.380 as we all thought.

00:29:15.620 And it does kind of

00:29:16.620 look weak

00:29:17.160 that he didn't debate.

00:29:18.260 And it does kind of

00:29:19.120 look weak

00:29:19.540 that he used Vivek

00:29:20.800 and all of those things.

00:29:22.460 So that's what makes

00:29:23.400 politics interesting

00:29:24.280 and I guess also infuriating 0.88

00:29:25.980 and totally psychotic.

00:29:28.200 I don't think it makes

00:29:29.300 him look weak

00:29:30.060 that he used Vivek.

00:29:31.000 I think it makes

00:29:31.580 him look savvy.

00:29:32.740 But I see the point

00:29:33.720 about the debating,

00:29:34.520 which was a smart

00:29:35.200 political move,

00:29:36.080 but may be offensive

00:29:37.480 to some portion

00:29:38.760 of the electorate,

00:29:39.700 especially when they see him,

00:29:41.900 you know,

00:29:42.240 the night of the debate

00:29:43.900 on a different channel

00:29:45.220 by doing his own thing,

00:29:46.500 not not taking on it.

00:29:47.740 It's like,

00:29:48.040 OK,

00:29:48.600 but I don't know.

00:29:49.240 I mean,

00:29:49.420 I was there in 2016

00:29:50.680 when Trump gave

00:29:51.620 the middle finger to Iowa

00:29:52.680 right before the Iowa caucus

00:29:54.240 with that debate

00:29:55.200 that we were hosting at Fox.

00:29:56.860 And,

00:29:57.500 you know,

00:29:57.880 he didn't win Iowa,

00:29:59.200 but I don't think that's why.

00:30:00.720 And even though

00:30:01.480 he didn't win Iowa,

00:30:02.740 we all know

00:30:03.140 he got the nomination,

00:30:04.000 he got the presidency.

00:30:05.080 So that's the thing

00:30:05.900 about Iowa,

00:30:06.600 Dave,

00:30:06.820 you know,

00:30:07.020 they produced

00:30:07.920 Mike Huckabee

00:30:09.940 as the winner,

00:30:11.620 Rick Santorum

00:30:12.340 as the winner,

00:30:13.860 and Ted Cruz

00:30:15.520 as the winner.

00:30:16.160 Ted Cruz, yeah.

00:30:17.080 And not one of those men

00:30:18.680 went on to get

00:30:19.660 the actual nomination.

00:30:21.360 So I just don't know,

00:30:22.920 even if DeSantis

00:30:23.660 were to pull a rabbit

00:30:25.040 out of a hat tonight,

00:30:26.060 how much it would mean.

00:30:28.000 What do you think?

00:30:28.520 I mean,

00:30:31.380 I think I've said it

00:30:32.120 three times already,

00:30:32.820 so just one more time.

00:30:33.540 I think it would show

00:30:34.200 a little blood in the water

00:30:35.200 and that that would

00:30:36.080 actually be good

00:30:36.960 because I just,

00:30:37.880 from everywhere I go

00:30:39.000 and everyone that I talk to,

00:30:40.820 everyone says the same thing.

00:30:41.920 There's very,

00:30:42.640 very few people

00:30:43.360 who don't like DeSantis.

00:30:44.540 I get it.

00:30:44.920 There's a few people

00:30:45.660 like so in the MAGA thing

00:30:47.040 that believe that DeSantis

00:30:48.140 is Paul Ryan,

00:30:49.620 George Soros,

00:30:50.680 Karl Rove,

00:30:51.420 Acolyte,

00:30:51.900 something like that.

00:30:52.760 It's just not true.

00:30:54.180 But everyone else

00:30:55.240 is basically like,

00:30:56.340 oh, I like DeSantis,

00:30:57.680 but Trump seems inevitable.

00:30:59.140 So if you can break

00:30:59.960 that illusion,

00:31:01.100 I do think anything

00:31:02.080 is possible.

00:31:02.700 But let me ask you something.

00:31:04.060 Do you think there's anything

00:31:05.480 DeSantis could have done here

00:31:06.960 a little bit differently

00:31:08.220 so that he wouldn't be

00:31:09.620 in the position

00:31:10.160 that he appears

00:31:10.740 to be in right now?

00:31:11.540 Because on one hand,

00:31:12.920 before you said,

00:31:13.820 well, he should have,

00:31:14.880 you know,

00:31:15.120 been out there

00:31:15.660 a little retail politicking more.

00:31:17.120 And then on the other hand,

00:31:18.020 you're also saying

00:31:18.500 that that's like the fake thing.

00:31:20.480 So that's the funny thing

00:31:21.600 for me.

00:31:22.460 It's like,

00:31:23.060 I don't know that he could have

00:31:24.040 done anything else

00:31:24.920 different here.

00:31:25.600 Like the guy

00:31:26.640 went on his track record.

00:31:28.200 He's a good, decent guy.

00:31:29.320 He showed the work.

00:31:30.600 He did, in essence,

00:31:32.180 everything right

00:31:32.860 other than

00:31:33.680 he's not like

00:31:34.880 the most off-the-cuff

00:31:35.880 stand-up comic.

00:31:37.060 And maybe that

00:31:37.720 is the weakness

00:31:38.620 and that just might be it.

00:31:40.720 Well, look,

00:31:41.280 I think,

00:31:41.880 I don't like politicians

00:31:43.020 fake retail politicking.

00:31:44.580 You know,

00:31:44.700 I think there's a way

00:31:45.260 to do it without being,

00:31:46.100 like, I don't think Trump

00:31:46.860 is fake when he does

00:31:47.600 his retail politicking.

00:31:48.520 I really don't.

00:31:49.020 I think he's always himself

00:31:49.940 and that's something

00:31:50.840 that works for him.

00:31:52.160 I think Ron DeSantis'

00:31:53.120 problem was

00:31:54.180 he, his real self

00:31:55.760 is a little stilted

00:31:56.760 and slightly socially awkward.

00:31:58.780 And that's fine.

00:32:00.160 You know,

00:32:00.360 a lot of people

00:32:01.420 are slightly socially awkward,

00:32:02.540 but it doesn't work

00:32:04.340 when you're in a race

00:32:05.320 against Donald Trump.

00:32:07.460 It could work

00:32:08.580 if you were in a race

00:32:09.640 against John McCain

00:32:10.640 or Mitt Romney

00:32:11.900 or at any other

00:32:13.140 GOP nomination contest

00:32:14.380 in history.

00:32:15.140 But it's not going to work

00:32:16.640 when Donald Trump,

00:32:17.460 the walking ball of charisma,

00:32:19.040 is in the race.

00:32:19.820 That was the problem.

00:32:20.780 But having said that,

00:32:21.960 I do think there are things

00:32:23.220 DeSantis could have done differently.

00:32:25.300 And, you know,

00:32:26.000 he should have called me.

00:32:26.940 He should have asked me.

00:32:28.000 Not that I'm in the business

00:32:28.900 of giving campaign advice,

00:32:29.980 but I definitely,

00:32:31.280 I don't think he ever,

00:32:32.520 and with all due respect

00:32:33.320 to Elon,

00:32:34.200 to David Sachs,

00:32:35.620 who I love,

00:32:36.780 he should not have done

00:32:37.620 that disastrous Twitter launch.

00:32:39.260 He has,

00:32:39.740 he's young,

00:32:40.420 he's vibrant,

00:32:41.240 he has this gorgeous wife, 1.00

00:32:42.660 he has this beautiful family.

00:32:44.280 Put them in front 1.00

00:32:45.020 of the damn camera. 1.00

00:32:46.340 It's not hard. 1.00

00:32:47.360 It's Politics 101.

00:32:48.960 Smile.

00:32:50.160 You don't,

00:32:50.680 in that setting,

00:32:51.340 you don't have to interact

00:32:52.440 with the voters.

00:32:53.100 You just say what you stand for.

00:32:54.820 You smile.

00:32:55.780 You show them

00:32:56.300 the all-American family,

00:32:57.540 the Camelot

00:32:58.440 that could be theirs.

00:32:59.740 And people get buzzing

00:33:01.040 about that.

00:33:01.520 It's total message control.

00:33:03.840 You know,

00:33:04.120 you don't get into like crypto

00:33:05.320 like they did.

00:33:06.180 It's like all,

00:33:06.920 the messaging was all over the place

00:33:08.400 in that launch.

00:33:09.340 And then,

00:33:10.020 of course,

00:33:10.380 it was glitched up too.

00:33:11.800 That was just one example

00:33:12.920 of the misstepping.

00:33:14.240 And I do think

00:33:14.900 he should have been

00:33:15.380 much more ubiquitous

00:33:16.240 in the media.

00:33:16.900 He shouldn't have only done

00:33:17.760 conservative media

00:33:18.520 for as long as he did.

00:33:20.120 I do think Vivek

00:33:21.260 did a very smart thing

00:33:22.380 in going on as many places

00:33:23.800 as invited him

00:33:25.000 just because,

00:33:26.380 A,

00:33:26.540 it showed he wasn't afraid

00:33:27.520 and,

00:33:27.920 B,

00:33:28.100 he got better.

00:33:29.060 He got better faster.

00:33:30.580 And DeSantis

00:33:31.000 didn't have that advantage.

00:33:32.140 I could go on.

00:33:33.440 But all of this

00:33:34.200 is just a matter of approach,

00:33:35.540 not how they would govern.

00:33:36.840 Right?

00:33:37.000 That's the sad thing

00:33:37.800 about DeSantis

00:33:38.480 is if he doesn't make it,

00:33:40.200 it's so much

00:33:40.700 untapped promise,

00:33:41.700 at least

00:33:42.020 at the presidential level,

00:33:43.700 Dave.

00:33:44.600 Right.

00:33:44.920 Well,

00:33:45.140 that really,

00:33:45.960 to me,

00:33:46.280 that's what it boils down to.

00:33:47.540 It's like,

00:33:48.200 I think most people

00:33:49.760 in their heart of hearts

00:33:51.260 know that he would be

00:33:52.580 the best president

00:33:54.000 of the United States

00:33:55.320 in that his track record

00:33:56.920 is basically impeccable.

00:33:58.900 He says things,

00:33:59.880 he does them,

00:34:00.920 there isn't the drama,

00:34:02.000 all of those things.

00:34:02.840 Now,

00:34:02.960 it just may not matter.

00:34:04.520 Again,

00:34:04.920 I accept that.

00:34:05.720 It may not matter.

00:34:06.640 And then,

00:34:07.440 well,

00:34:07.660 we'll get exactly

00:34:08.440 what we deserve

00:34:09.260 one way or another.

00:34:10.980 That's what they say.

00:34:11.820 If people,

00:34:12.440 right,

00:34:12.700 if people want a friend

00:34:14.220 or a TV star

00:34:15.480 or a game show host

00:34:16.600 more than they want

00:34:17.660 a competent executive,

00:34:18.800 then that's what they'll get.

00:34:19.620 I will also say,

00:34:20.500 Megan,

00:34:20.680 that,

00:34:20.920 you know,

00:34:21.140 because I do live here

00:34:22.100 in Florida,

00:34:22.640 if the situation

00:34:23.600 is that in a few weeks,

00:34:25.400 Ron DeSantis

00:34:25.880 is back here in Florida

00:34:27.160 and Florida

00:34:27.640 keeps chugging along

00:34:28.740 and we're paying off our debt,

00:34:30.400 we've removed DEI

00:34:31.440 from our institutions

00:34:32.440 and we've brought

00:34:33.460 more police officers

00:34:34.540 down here

00:34:35.260 than any other state

00:34:36.460 and we've just done

00:34:37.240 so many good things here,

00:34:38.640 then I'll double down

00:34:39.480 my efforts on making this

00:34:40.640 the finest state

00:34:41.420 in the nation

00:34:41.920 and still continue

00:34:43.140 to,

00:34:43.560 as DeSantis would say,

00:34:44.540 blueprint that

00:34:45.160 so other states

00:34:45.860 can use it as well

00:34:46.800 and then just pray

00:34:47.840 that the whole national project

00:34:49.280 doesn't fall apart.

00:34:50.380 But I would still be

00:34:51.220 very,

00:34:51.660 very bullish on Florida.

00:34:53.420 I guess I would be

00:34:54.000 slightly less bullish,

00:34:55.620 unfortunately,

00:34:56.320 on the grander project.

00:34:58.400 Well,

00:34:58.620 the sad thing would be,

00:34:59.760 and I heard the guys

00:35:00.380 at National Review

00:35:01.020 talking about this

00:35:01.680 on the editors

00:35:02.140 the other day,

00:35:03.580 if DeSantis doesn't win,

00:35:06.800 then they were predicting,

00:35:08.960 at least some of them were,

00:35:10.020 DeSantis is probably

00:35:10.780 out of national politics

00:35:12.120 because he's term limited

00:35:14.260 in Florida.

00:35:15.300 He's serving his second term.

00:35:17.360 The second term

00:35:18.240 would end in 26,

00:35:20.060 if I'm not mistaken.

00:35:21.620 You know,

00:35:21.880 the next presidential contest

00:35:23.020 would be two years

00:35:24.160 after that

00:35:25.140 and he'll just be

00:35:26.460 too much of an irrelevant

00:35:27.480 figure by that point.

00:35:28.660 Never mind Nikki Haley,

00:35:29.580 who would be way out of it,

00:35:30.740 way out of it.

00:35:31.240 I think this,

00:35:33.200 you know,

00:35:33.520 there's an argument

00:35:34.040 to be made

00:35:34.480 that this was his one shot.

00:35:36.440 Yeah,

00:35:36.700 I think this probably

00:35:37.620 was his one shot.

00:35:38.640 Again,

00:35:38.820 we will see what happens.

00:35:40.360 I feel like we're doing

00:35:41.000 an in memoriam right now

00:35:42.040 and I think it's a little

00:35:42.880 early for that.

00:35:43.900 It is too early for that.

00:35:44.980 I think he'll have a bright future

00:35:46.740 no matter what

00:35:47.540 because he is a good,

00:35:49.240 decent man

00:35:50.040 who is competent,

00:35:51.460 who could do all sorts

00:35:52.560 of other things

00:35:53.360 besides just be governor.

00:35:54.940 Like,

00:35:55.300 any organization

00:35:56.200 would be thrilled

00:35:57.660 to have a guy

00:35:58.620 that has shown

00:35:59.220 this level of competence

00:36:00.580 and ability to right the ship

00:36:02.300 and everything else.

00:36:02.960 Again,

00:36:03.440 he took a state

00:36:04.240 that was kind of mostly blue,

00:36:06.440 a little bit purple,

00:36:07.320 and turned it into

00:36:08.320 the deepest red state

00:36:09.900 that is doing

00:36:10.880 everything right.

00:36:11.960 Like,

00:36:12.280 there is nothing

00:36:13.120 happening in Florida

00:36:14.180 that every other state

00:36:15.600 shouldn't be replicating.

00:36:16.820 So,

00:36:17.140 the guy is going to be fine

00:36:18.140 one way or another.

00:36:19.460 Well,

00:36:19.900 not just that.

00:36:20.580 I mean,

00:36:20.700 I will say

00:36:21.140 one of the things I have,

00:36:22.360 one of the issues I have

00:36:23.200 watching this unfold

00:36:24.080 is Ron DeSantis

00:36:24.860 went to Yale,

00:36:26.720 played baseball,

00:36:27.600 went to Harvard,

00:36:28.600 law,

00:36:29.780 joined the JAG Corps,

00:36:30.880 you know,

00:36:31.020 served his country,

00:36:32.120 went to Iraq,

00:36:33.100 has never tried to up,

00:36:34.200 you know,

00:36:34.340 he doesn't overplay it.

00:36:35.700 He's like,

00:36:36.020 you know,

00:36:36.300 I was a lawyer.

00:36:37.240 I went up,

00:36:37.580 but he's honest

00:36:38.840 about his service.

00:36:41.020 Then he comes back

00:36:41.840 let me tell you,

00:36:42.640 with that resume,

00:36:43.300 I went to Syracuse

00:36:44.180 and Albany Law

00:36:44.840 and I made a lot of money

00:36:46.340 as a lawyer.

00:36:47.520 With his resume,

00:36:49.120 you could make millions.

00:36:50.320 He could have been

00:36:50.760 making millions

00:36:51.580 year after year after year

00:36:52.700 and he chose.

00:36:53.440 He chose to go

00:36:54.080 into public service

00:36:54.740 to run for Congress,

00:36:56.140 then to run for governor.

00:36:57.800 That speaks well of him.

00:36:59.240 You know,

00:36:59.440 he lived a life,

00:37:00.880 he went out there,

00:37:01.580 he served the country

00:37:02.380 and his whole life

00:37:03.480 has been public service.

00:37:06.420 When I see Vivek

00:37:07.520 tweeting about,

00:37:08.340 like,

00:37:09.220 Nick Sandman,

00:37:10.140 it's like,

00:37:10.740 where were you?

00:37:12.160 You weren't fighting

00:37:13.420 any of these fights

00:37:14.700 while Dave Rubin

00:37:15.800 was out there fighting them,

00:37:17.140 while I was out there

00:37:18.120 fighting them.

00:37:18.960 You were making

00:37:19.600 all your money

00:37:20.260 with China

00:37:21.280 in the private sector

00:37:22.820 and now you want it

00:37:24.040 to be very critical

00:37:24.760 of people who do that

00:37:25.620 and you were hiring

00:37:26.280 legal immigrants

00:37:27.100 on these visas

00:37:27.820 that you're now

00:37:28.280 so critical of.

00:37:29.100 You were doing

00:37:29.480 all the things

00:37:30.260 that you now criticize

00:37:31.220 and you said nothing,

00:37:33.120 nothing,

00:37:33.880 while all of us

00:37:34.500 were starting

00:37:34.920 this culture war.

00:37:35.820 Yeah,

00:37:35.980 you got in it

00:37:36.580 by 2020.

00:37:37.640 You finally got in it,

00:37:38.880 but literally

00:37:39.420 that was three years ago.

00:37:41.640 So now you want us

00:37:42.460 to see you

00:37:42.860 as the authority

00:37:43.460 on all these events

00:37:44.400 that you said

00:37:44.860 almost nothing about.

00:37:46.800 So to me,

00:37:47.400 it's like,

00:37:47.760 all right,

00:37:48.340 you weren't serving

00:37:49.120 the public

00:37:49.500 like this other guy.

00:37:50.740 You weren't serving

00:37:51.280 anyone other than yourself,

00:37:52.540 which,

00:37:53.280 okay,

00:37:53.540 that's America,

00:37:54.140 but don't pretend

00:37:55.200 that you've been

00:37:55.820 in this fight

00:37:56.480 for, you know,

00:37:57.140 decade.

00:37:57.460 You haven't.

00:37:59.000 Right.

00:37:59.120 Well,

00:37:59.220 that's the thing.

00:37:59.920 DeSantis has done

00:38:00.960 everything that any

00:38:02.620 of us could have asked for.

00:38:03.880 Can you think,

00:38:04.380 is there one policy

00:38:05.580 that this guy

00:38:06.880 has put forward

00:38:07.980 that either you

00:38:09.680 didn't agree with

00:38:10.440 or you didn't think

00:38:10.900 was right for the country?

00:38:11.600 So I can pick one,

00:38:12.820 which is that for me,

00:38:13.820 the 15-week ban on abortion,

00:38:15.480 which is what we had

00:38:16.180 in Florida,

00:38:17.300 I've been to every

00:38:18.020 Republican event in Florida

00:38:19.080 in the last two plus years.

00:38:20.260 I never heard anyone

00:38:21.000 complaining about it.

00:38:22.120 They had their own

00:38:22.640 personal beliefs

00:38:23.380 that may have been

00:38:23.920 more pro-life.

00:38:24.980 He decided to do

00:38:26.100 the six-week thing.

00:38:27.600 I think he knew,

00:38:28.540 actually,

00:38:28.880 I heard him say it

00:38:29.700 at an event once

00:38:30.380 that it might hurt him

00:38:31.440 in the general

00:38:32.020 because obviously

00:38:33.660 the country is more

00:38:34.480 moderate on abortion

00:38:35.700 than, say, six weeks,

00:38:36.980 but he did what

00:38:37.740 he thought was right.

00:38:39.100 But beyond that,

00:38:39.940 in my estimation,

00:38:40.760 he's done absolutely

00:38:41.980 everything right.

00:38:42.740 So you mentioned

00:38:43.260 a thread to needle before

00:38:45.400 and it's like,

00:38:47.040 well,

00:38:47.420 who going forward

00:38:48.800 after this

00:38:49.460 would ever want

00:38:50.380 to run for president

00:38:51.140 if the thing

00:38:51.800 that you have to be

00:38:52.720 is not only competent

00:38:54.140 but also the perfect human

00:38:55.700 and have the perfect smile

00:38:57.120 and know all the jokes

00:38:58.560 and be off the cuff

00:38:59.760 and do everything right?

00:39:00.840 Like,

00:39:01.020 no one's going to want

00:39:01.960 to get involved in politics.

00:39:03.000 We may have already

00:39:04.120 crossed that Rubicon

00:39:04.980 where we're just going

00:39:06.060 to get like a constant 0.52

00:39:06.960 clown show. 0.83

00:39:08.000 He, to me, 0.99

00:39:08.620 represents the last

00:39:09.840 of sort of a decent breed,

00:39:12.060 the pedigree

00:39:12.940 that you just laid out there

00:39:14.260 of someone

00:39:15.080 that really believes

00:39:16.040 in service

00:39:16.580 and believes in this country.

00:39:17.660 There's a chance

00:39:18.300 to do it.

00:39:19.520 Nobody can really figure out

00:39:20.760 what the criticism is

00:39:21.860 other than he ran

00:39:22.940 against Trump

00:39:23.720 and maybe was a little stiff.

00:39:26.160 Maybe.

00:39:27.440 And that might just be 0.95

00:39:28.740 a damn shame. 0.88

00:39:29.280 What he needed to do 0.99

00:39:29.780 he needed

00:39:30.880 and continues to need

00:39:32.840 to do

00:39:33.460 if he stays in

00:39:34.260 is he needs

00:39:35.640 to learn how

00:39:36.240 to make fun of himself.

00:39:37.500 He's not good

00:39:38.820 at that

00:39:39.600 and that would help a lot.

00:39:41.440 It would help a lot.

00:39:42.340 Like,

00:39:42.720 when Trump was calling

00:39:43.340 a meatball,

00:39:44.180 he should have gotten

00:39:44.680 out there and been like,

00:39:46.020 I like meatballs.

00:39:48.800 I don't know.

00:39:49.680 Right, he's Italian.

00:39:50.900 It doesn't,

00:39:51.540 but it doesn't come

00:39:52.300 naturally to him

00:39:53.280 so it would have been awkward.

00:39:54.740 I think that is

00:39:55.280 part of his problem.

00:39:56.720 You know,

00:39:56.840 it's like for better

00:39:57.800 or for worse

00:39:58.200 we want our politicians

00:39:59.100 to kind of make us laugh,

00:40:00.220 make us feel good

00:40:01.020 like Trump does.

00:40:02.500 There's a headline

00:40:03.200 circulating on Twitter today

00:40:04.380 about how when

00:40:05.220 he went to North Korea

00:40:06.580 reportedly Kim Jong-un

00:40:08.360 winked at Sarah Huckabee Sanders

00:40:10.600 and I guess she said

00:40:12.160 something about it

00:40:12.700 to Trump

00:40:13.140 and Trump said

00:40:13.800 take one for the team.

00:40:17.320 Right.

00:40:18.260 No, look, again,

00:40:19.940 yeah, he is funny.

00:40:21.560 Again, I don't hate the guy.

00:40:22.780 I obviously don't have

00:40:23.540 Trump derangement syndrome.

00:40:24.440 I voted for him last time.

00:40:25.780 No, I know that.

00:40:26.020 All of that stuff is true.

00:40:28.720 Ultimately,

00:40:29.320 like as a nation

00:40:30.300 in a world

00:40:31.000 that is really precarious

00:40:32.360 at the moment

00:40:32.780 for a million reasons,

00:40:34.300 Middle East,

00:40:35.000 Ukraine,

00:40:35.580 our economic situation,

00:40:36.860 the borders being overrun,

00:40:38.120 it's like we can decide,

00:40:39.580 okay,

00:40:39.820 do you want a guy

00:40:40.740 that like can make jokes

00:40:42.020 off the cuff

00:40:42.700 or do you want someone

00:40:43.560 that'll just get the job done 0.52

00:40:45.320 and not be,

00:40:46.880 you know what it's like

00:40:47.960 when you're in a room

00:40:48.580 with Trump,

00:40:49.540 you feel it's like

00:40:50.520 a black hole of energy

00:40:51.820 all going to him.

00:40:53.140 Everyone's staring at him

00:40:54.140 the entire time.

00:40:54.740 And it's almost like

00:40:55.720 there's an alien in the room.

00:40:57.300 When DeSantis is in the room,

00:40:58.620 it's like,

00:40:58.900 oh,

00:40:59.120 there's that good man,

00:41:00.660 Ron DeSantis.

00:41:01.400 Like he's the governor.

00:41:02.520 There you go.

00:41:03.400 It's a different thing.

00:41:04.780 But again,

00:41:05.680 we will get what we deserve

00:41:07.120 if we say,

00:41:07.860 okay,

00:41:08.080 the best guy that we all,

00:41:09.780 because I think

00:41:10.320 what you're basically saying

00:41:11.220 to me,

00:41:11.480 Megan,

00:41:11.600 is he is the best guy.

00:41:13.360 There's some optics issues here

00:41:15.340 related to campaigning

00:41:17.740 or personality,

00:41:18.540 but in terms of

00:41:19.260 what we would all want,

00:41:20.560 if the founders

00:41:21.380 of this country

00:41:22.380 were looking at this election

00:41:23.880 and listening to these guys

00:41:25.400 and going,

00:41:27.000 okay,

00:41:27.220 who is the best

00:41:27.920 out of this crew?

00:41:29.080 It's like every single person

00:41:31.120 who signed the Declaration

00:41:32.440 of Independence,

00:41:33.380 I'm pretty sure we know

00:41:34.300 which way they'd be voting.

00:41:36.360 So I'm not saying that to you

00:41:38.080 because although

00:41:38.920 I really like DeSantis

00:41:40.200 and I would vote for DeSantis,

00:41:41.940 I have the same questions

00:41:43.620 that I think a lot

00:41:44.380 of Republican voters have,

00:41:45.880 which is,

00:41:46.440 in this environment 1.00

00:41:47.840 with these rabid assholes 1.00

00:41:50.580 trying to throw 1.00

00:41:51.420 our leaders in jail,

00:41:53.440 maybe Trump is the one,

00:41:54.620 you know,

00:41:54.840 like,

00:41:55.140 I see like what that woman 1.00

00:41:56.560 was saying, 0.59

00:41:57.000 Trump's a sledgehammer.

00:41:58.340 Maybe,

00:41:58.820 maybe what the country needs

00:42:00.420 is the sledgehammer

00:42:02.020 and not the dignified,

00:42:04.100 strong leader

00:42:05.100 who's not a little crazy

00:42:06.900 in like the nicest sense,

00:42:09.220 you know,

00:42:09.500 like,

00:42:10.340 I understand exactly

00:42:11.300 what Republicans are seeing

00:42:12.820 and why they're rejecting DeSantis

00:42:14.920 even if it's not

00:42:15.960 a personality contest,

00:42:17.380 like why they even knowing

00:42:18.720 that Trump's erratic

00:42:19.860 and all that are saying,

00:42:21.020 I'm going with him.

00:42:22.820 I,

00:42:23.060 I want the sledgehammer. 1.00

00:42:24.440 These people are insane, 1.00

00:42:26.300 you know, 0.99

00:42:26.720 and not just in the transing of kids

00:42:28.380 and all that stuff.

00:42:29.220 They're trying to throw

00:42:30.460 their political opponent in jail.

00:42:32.980 Like you need a bad-ass 0.93

00:42:35.740 mother effer

00:42:37.080 to get in there

00:42:38.280 and teach them a lesson.

00:42:39.620 And if that's what you want,

00:42:40.840 I'm not,

00:42:41.740 I mean,

00:42:41.960 I think the choice would be clear.

00:42:43.560 Yeah,

00:42:44.040 look,

00:42:44.260 I think that's a compelling argument.

00:42:45.720 I think you could make an argument

00:42:46.880 that DeSantis

00:42:47.480 has the perfect track record

00:42:48.660 to show that he would stand up

00:42:50.120 and when he says

00:42:50.900 he would set,

00:42:51.640 you know,

00:42:52.100 the military to the border

00:42:53.560 on day one,

00:42:54.280 I actually believe

00:42:54.980 he would do it

00:42:55.440 and everything else.

00:42:56.240 You know,

00:42:56.420 my argument last time

00:42:57.760 with Trump

00:42:58.260 was that,

00:42:59.300 you know,

00:42:59.540 everyone wanted a panther 0.98

00:43:00.820 in a china shop,

00:43:01.780 right?

00:43:01.980 Like you didn't want to blow up 0.99

00:43:03.160 the whole damn thing. 0.97

00:43:04.000 So they wanted a panther 0.99

00:43:05.220 to walk in

00:43:05.800 and with his tail

00:43:06.460 knock over one vase

00:43:07.860 and then,

00:43:08.560 you know,

00:43:08.680 like calmly close the door

00:43:10.040 on the way out.

00:43:10.760 But a panther in a china shop

00:43:12.280 is not the phrase,

00:43:13.380 right?

00:43:13.540 The phrase is a bull

00:43:14.680 in a china shop

00:43:15.460 and Trump is the bull.

00:43:17.040 So again,

00:43:17.480 that argument

00:43:18.860 I think is completely sound.

00:43:20.980 I completely get it

00:43:22.080 and I would have liked Trump

00:43:23.600 to have made that argument

00:43:24.560 more without just the end.

00:43:25.640 The thing that bothered me

00:43:26.600 about this

00:43:27.120 and this is just politics

00:43:28.400 and primary stuff

00:43:29.320 and everyone moves on after

00:43:30.840 was just the endless lying

00:43:32.660 about DeSantis

00:43:33.560 and Soros

00:43:34.500 or Paul Ryan

00:43:35.700 or Karl Rove

00:43:36.700 or COVID.

00:43:37.940 Like all of the lies

00:43:39.600 about all of that.

00:43:40.540 I think honestly

00:43:42.060 to some extent

00:43:43.540 I've made a better argument

00:43:44.880 for Trump on my show

00:43:45.860 than he makes for himself.

00:43:47.000 He duck debates

00:43:47.960 and then let his surrogates

00:43:49.100 do a whole bunch of lying.

00:43:50.700 Again,

00:43:51.220 your argument

00:43:51.900 that you just made there

00:43:52.780 it's pretty damn good

00:43:53.780 and maybe most Americans

00:43:55.200 believe that

00:43:55.960 and that'll be just fine.

00:43:57.720 I guess I just want politics

00:43:59.040 and our national discourse

00:44:00.580 to be a little bit better

00:44:01.540 than it is

00:44:02.040 which by the way

00:44:02.520 I know you do as well.

00:44:03.740 A little more tethered

00:44:05.360 in the truth

00:44:06.060 would be absolutely lovely.

00:44:08.180 I think it's too much to ask.

00:44:10.100 There's so much more to go over.

00:44:11.320 We're not done by a long shot

00:44:12.460 but I do have to take

00:44:13.360 a short break.

00:44:14.160 More with Dave Rubin

00:44:14.940 who stays with us

00:44:15.720 for the show today.

00:44:18.480 Well,

00:44:18.980 I just don't think

00:44:19.700 anybody else could win

00:44:20.880 if Trump runs.

00:44:22.580 and I don't

00:44:23.200 I just

00:44:23.700 Really?

00:44:24.320 So you think

00:44:25.020 if they got on a stage

00:44:26.240 you don't think

00:44:27.360 that DeSantis

00:44:27.860 is crafty enough

00:44:29.460 or the record stands enough

00:44:31.280 to really?

00:44:32.220 Interesting.

00:44:32.700 I don't even think

00:44:33.900 that a little.

00:44:35.040 I think Trump 1.00

00:44:36.100 sucks up all the energy 1.00

00:44:37.660 in every room 0.99

00:44:38.300 no matter what

00:44:39.520 and even someone

00:44:40.660 as skilled

00:44:41.120 as a politician

00:44:42.520 and smart policy wise

00:44:44.200 as DeSantis

00:44:45.200 can't overcome that.

00:44:47.080 The only way DeSantis

00:44:48.220 is going to become

00:44:49.120 the Republican nominee

00:44:50.020 is if

00:44:51.040 Trump

00:44:51.680 chooses not to run

00:44:53.080 and endorses him

00:44:54.820 or dies.

00:44:56.440 The hardcore

00:44:57.280 Trump faithful

00:44:58.360 is unshakable

00:45:00.020 and there

00:45:01.060 I

00:45:01.400 again

00:45:01.960 I hear from them

00:45:02.640 all the time

00:45:03.120 they like him

00:45:04.700 they like DeSantis

00:45:05.560 but they would never

00:45:07.020 cross Trump for him.

00:45:08.680 That was October

00:45:09.660 of 2022

00:45:11.120 before either man

00:45:13.180 had even declared

00:45:14.580 for President

00:45:16.000 Dave Rubin

00:45:16.780 so it was

00:45:17.380 longer than six months ago

00:45:18.900 and I believe

00:45:20.080 I ended that clip

00:45:20.820 with you by saying

00:45:21.720 if I'm wrong

00:45:23.460 you can come back 0.99

00:45:24.500 and rub it in my face 0.98

00:45:25.380 but I won't be. 0.83

00:45:26.340 Well I think

00:45:28.180 you're on my show

00:45:28.860 tomorrow

00:45:29.240 so we'll see

00:45:29.840 we'll see what happens

00:45:30.940 but can I just say

00:45:31.820 can I just say

00:45:32.720 that we have both

00:45:33.420 upped the production

00:45:34.420 game in our studios

00:45:35.580 because look how

00:45:36.440 look how beautiful

00:45:37.440 these studios are

00:45:38.560 in the year and a half

00:45:39.300 since then.

00:45:40.340 We're so fancy now.

00:45:42.460 All right

00:45:42.980 so I don't want

00:45:44.020 to skip over

00:45:44.720 we only have like

00:45:45.340 another minute

00:45:45.760 so we can just chat

00:45:46.520 but there's a lot

00:45:47.060 to talk about

00:45:47.580 when it comes to

00:45:48.220 Nikki Haley

00:45:48.720 and what to expect

00:45:49.520 in Iowa tonight

00:45:50.700 but I do

00:45:51.160 I do want to

00:45:51.820 give the context

00:45:52.920 on that Haley's

00:45:53.880 second place finish

00:45:54.580 in the Des Moines

00:45:55.060 Register poll.

00:45:56.320 Ann Seltzer

00:45:56.900 is the highly

00:45:57.580 respected pollster

00:45:59.020 who conducts the survey.

00:46:00.820 She according to Politico

00:46:01.960 went out of her way

00:46:02.940 to make clear

00:46:03.900 that Haley

00:46:04.500 is not actually

00:46:06.680 that she's on shaky ground

00:46:08.700 despite this number

00:46:10.780 that unlike Rick Santorum

00:46:12.300 and Ted Cruz

00:46:12.900 the internals on Haley

00:46:14.220 are not suggestive

00:46:15.560 of a late surge

00:46:16.860 that's going to continue

00:46:18.140 to rise

00:46:18.840 during the caucuses tonight.

00:46:21.100 In fact she says

00:46:21.860 it's the opposite.

00:46:23.060 The deep data on Haley

00:46:23.920 suggests

00:46:24.380 she looks stronger

00:46:25.380 in the poll

00:46:25.760 than she could

00:46:26.620 on caucus night

00:46:27.720 says Ann Seltzer

00:46:28.760 the woman.

00:46:30.080 Most of the rest

00:46:31.120 of the data here

00:46:31.840 is not good news

00:46:32.960 for her.

00:46:33.800 She was particularly

00:46:34.360 surprised at the

00:46:35.140 enthusiasm gap

00:46:36.120 between Haley's voters

00:46:37.120 and Trump voters.

00:46:38.520 Only 39% of her voters

00:46:39.920 were extremely enthusiastic

00:46:40.940 or very.

00:46:42.360 That number for Trump

00:46:43.220 89%

00:46:45.300 which she says

00:46:46.700 are on the edge

00:46:47.700 of jaw dropping

00:46:49.080 for Trump

00:46:49.980 jaw dropping

00:46:50.940 actually the ones

00:46:52.640 for Haley

00:46:53.000 she said are on the edge

00:46:53.700 of jaw dropping.

00:46:54.220 They're just

00:46:54.660 they're just

00:46:55.420 at odds

00:46:55.860 with the candidate

00:46:56.320 moving up.

00:46:57.340 So this could be

00:46:57.860 a mirage

00:46:58.460 this alleged surge

00:46:59.580 by Nikki Haley

00:47:00.260 tonight

00:47:00.680 and to your earlier

00:47:01.740 point of this

00:47:02.420 should not be

00:47:02.780 a post-mortem

00:47:03.500 on Ron DeSantis

00:47:04.800 he's done

00:47:06.480 the full 99

00:47:07.300 he's sincere

00:47:09.180 I heard a guy

00:47:09.940 on the daily

00:47:10.760 the daily podcast

00:47:11.560 for the New York Times

00:47:12.360 talking about how

00:47:13.100 he met DeSantis

00:47:14.540 he asked him

00:47:15.480 a question about farming

00:47:16.300 DeSantis answered

00:47:17.540 I don't know

00:47:18.540 and wanted to be

00:47:20.160 educated

00:47:20.680 by the farmer

00:47:21.480 on it.

00:47:21.920 The guy

00:47:22.480 heard his leg

00:47:23.060 phone rang

00:47:23.820 it was Ron DeSantis

00:47:24.660 I heard you got hurt

00:47:25.420 are you okay

00:47:25.940 that kind of

00:47:27.200 it may not be smooth

00:47:28.700 but that kind of

00:47:29.820 individual attention

00:47:30.880 can come back

00:47:32.380 to help one

00:47:33.220 on a night like this.

00:47:35.080 Well I also think

00:47:36.140 that the Haley numbers

00:47:37.220 that you just went

00:47:37.780 into there

00:47:38.120 it also explains

00:47:39.040 a little bit

00:47:39.420 where we started

00:47:40.060 today with the

00:47:40.820 with the Vivek Trump

00:47:41.820 thing because

00:47:42.340 if Trump is

00:47:43.020 suddenly going

00:47:43.640 uh oh

00:47:44.080 I could lose

00:47:45.040 eight ten percent

00:47:45.920 who knows

00:47:46.500 maybe Vivek's

00:47:47.120 going to get

00:47:47.420 even more

00:47:47.780 tonight

00:47:48.140 uh so Trump's

00:47:49.460 numbers get

00:47:49.960 a little bit

00:47:50.480 deflated

00:47:50.960 and then if

00:47:51.480 the Haley people

00:47:52.300 it seems to me

00:47:53.040 the Haley people

00:47:53.600 are going

00:47:53.880 no we're not

00:47:54.400 voting for Trump

00:47:55.140 so then in a

00:47:56.260 caucus where

00:47:56.780 you're literally

00:47:57.340 moving people

00:47:58.100 in rooms

00:47:58.640 it's not just

00:47:59.280 going into a

00:47:59.800 booth and

00:48:00.120 pulling a lever

00:48:00.720 you're going

00:48:01.500 to churches

00:48:02.060 and community

00:48:02.640 centers and

00:48:03.280 gymnasiums 0.99

00:48:03.960 and caucusing

00:48:05.140 it's a fascinating

00:48:06.020 uh way of

00:48:07.200 voting

00:48:07.500 you're convincing

00:48:08.420 people on the

00:48:09.200 fly well if

00:48:09.740 those Haley people

00:48:10.620 who aren't

00:48:11.620 particularly staunch

00:48:12.800 Haley supporters

00:48:13.520 if they're like

00:48:14.140 all right well

00:48:14.860 DeSantis actually

00:48:15.700 is maybe the

00:48:16.720 closest to that

00:48:17.500 or he's not

00:48:18.020 Trump or it's

00:48:18.660 a little more

00:48:19.180 whatever you

00:48:19.620 want to call

00:48:20.080 it well then

00:48:21.340 suddenly if

00:48:22.000 Trump's numbers

00:48:22.500 go down

00:48:23.020 because of

00:48:23.360 Vivek and

00:48:23.880 DeSantis's numbers

00:48:24.820 go up because

00:48:25.360 of Haley

00:48:25.700 then maybe

00:48:26.520 you're at

00:48:26.820 52 46

00:48:28.200 and then

00:48:29.080 it's a little

00:48:29.980 bit different

00:48:30.400 so again we

00:48:31.600 shall see but

00:48:32.160 I will give

00:48:32.600 you credit

00:48:32.940 Megan you

00:48:33.740 probably called

00:48:34.580 it right back

00:48:35.180 then and I'll

00:48:36.060 eat crow

00:48:36.800 assuming that

00:48:37.600 you did

00:48:37.940 and by the way

00:48:39.180 I wasn't

00:48:39.500 arguing with you

00:48:40.320 then I was

00:48:40.820 you know

00:48:41.240 it's uh

00:48:42.240 I would say

00:48:43.200 you were just

00:48:43.620 more surprised

00:48:44.320 like you were

00:48:44.820 surprised that I

00:48:45.440 just didn't see

00:48:45.980 a way for

00:48:46.400 DeSantis to do

00:48:47.140 it to move

00:48:47.520 the gorilla

00:48:47.960 and you know

00:48:48.940 it there

00:48:49.940 it's very hard

00:48:51.040 to move the

00:48:51.420 gorilla but

00:48:52.260 listen the thing

00:48:52.980 on Nikki Haley

00:48:53.580 is very interesting

00:48:54.300 because no sooner

00:48:55.400 than what 12

00:48:56.340 hours before

00:48:57.060 caucus day gets

00:48:58.200 here does she 0.98

00:48:59.140 make what I

00:48:59.740 consider to be a

00:49:00.360 major misstep

00:49:01.140 especially with

00:49:02.620 Iowa voters

00:49:03.940 who are more

00:49:04.860 conservative we'll

00:49:05.660 play it for you

00:49:06.180 right after this

00:49:06.680 break Dave Rubin

00:49:07.900 rejoins us and

00:49:09.040 has a lot more

00:49:09.600 wisdom to

00:49:10.420 dispense don't

00:49:11.100 go away

00:49:11.460 Dave is gonna

00:49:16.780 be seriously

00:49:17.880 cold in Iowa

00:49:19.780 tonight even

00:49:21.260 for a Syracuse

00:49:22.380 Albany girl

00:49:23.080 like me it's

00:49:24.040 cold the

00:49:24.660 weather's bad

00:49:25.500 in fact what

00:49:25.940 they're saying

00:49:26.260 out there is

00:49:26.720 it's beyond

00:49:27.840 like cold

00:49:29.480 it's dangerous

00:49:30.380 um David

00:49:31.520 Coachell forgive

00:49:32.580 me for the

00:49:33.820 pronunciation not

00:49:34.520 sure if that's

00:49:34.880 right longtime

00:49:35.420 Republican strategist

00:49:36.440 quoted as having

00:49:37.420 said um with

00:49:38.360 wind chills of

00:49:38.900 minus 20 or

00:49:40.120 minus 30

00:49:41.160 expected tonight

00:49:42.080 this is danger

00:49:43.460 could be as

00:49:43.960 much as 45

00:49:44.640 below with the

00:49:45.520 wind chill

00:49:45.900 frozen engine

00:49:46.800 blocks a dead

00:49:47.520 battery if you

00:49:48.760 go in the ditch

00:49:49.540 nobody's out to

00:49:50.460 find you that

00:49:51.240 actually could

00:49:52.000 affect turnout

00:49:53.360 the belief

00:49:54.660 armchair no

00:49:56.620 science behind it

00:49:57.680 is that could

00:49:58.500 help Trump

00:49:59.060 because only the

00:50:00.100 most ardent

00:50:01.120 enthusiastic

00:50:01.740 supporters would

00:50:03.300 go I refer you

00:50:04.380 back to that

00:50:04.800 Des Moines

00:50:05.100 register lady who

00:50:06.580 was saying you

00:50:07.160 know he's got all

00:50:07.820 this enthusiasm

00:50:08.620 but DeSantis

00:50:10.260 his team said

00:50:10.980 as follows

00:50:11.520 uh DeSantis

00:50:12.480 said I'll

00:50:12.920 brave whatever

00:50:13.420 we need to

00:50:13.940 nothing's handed

00:50:14.560 to you in this

00:50:15.060 life much less

00:50:16.100 a presidential

00:50:16.680 nomination

00:50:17.300 even his mom

00:50:19.600 his mom

00:50:20.400 DeSantis

00:50:20.760 his mom is in

00:50:21.640 Iowa knocking

00:50:22.400 on doors which

00:50:23.180 I love that's

00:50:23.920 sweet um good

00:50:25.360 for her she's

00:50:25.920 strong and his

00:50:28.240 deputy campaign

00:50:29.060 manager said

00:50:29.860 sub-zero weather

00:50:30.720 also matches our

00:50:32.160 grinded out

00:50:32.960 mentality but he

00:50:34.480 added we look

00:50:35.080 forward to forcing

00:50:35.700 our opponents to

00:50:36.340 try to match our

00:50:37.280 campaign pace

00:50:38.180 when it hurts to

00:50:39.360 breathe outside I

00:50:40.300 mean this would be

00:50:41.100 a situation where

00:50:42.080 numbers of volunteers

00:50:44.160 and campaign

00:50:45.020 organization which

00:50:46.000 DeSantis has will

00:50:47.740 help hey that would 0.66

00:50:48.740 be nice for from

00:50:49.760 where I'm sitting

00:50:50.360 here in the warm

00:50:51.140 free state of

00:50:51.860 Florida Megan I

00:50:52.540 should note I

00:50:53.020 don't know if you

00:50:53.280 know this I went

00:50:53.820 to SUNY

00:50:54.220 Binghamton so I've

00:50:55.120 spent a decent

00:50:56.220 amount of time so

00:50:57.140 would you do it

00:50:57.720 Syracuse at your

00:50:59.120 carousel minus 45

00:51:00.700 with a windchill

00:51:01.580 would you get out

00:51:02.360 to caucus I'm not

00:51:05.260 so sure you know

00:51:05.960 once you live in

00:51:06.560 Florida for a

00:51:07.160 while suddenly you

00:51:07.900 go back to New

00:51:08.880 York right you go

00:51:09.920 to New York and

00:51:10.520 it's 52 and you're

00:51:11.460 like no my guess

00:51:14.700 my guess again is

00:51:16.620 that this probably

00:51:17.720 does help DeSantis

00:51:19.300 because of the

00:51:20.200 organization because

00:51:21.240 of the amount of

00:51:22.420 volunteers that he

00:51:23.520 has down there the

00:51:24.540 people that have

00:51:25.120 already committed to

00:51:26.300 be caucus captains

00:51:27.320 for him and

00:51:27.860 everything else but

00:51:28.820 you just have no

00:51:30.340 idea right the Trump

00:51:31.980 people obviously are

00:51:32.980 the most sort of

00:51:33.700 ardent and everything

00:51:34.660 else but it might

00:51:35.760 just be that a

00:51:36.460 whole bunch of

00:51:36.960 people you know

00:51:37.460 people that vote

00:51:38.060 tend to be older if

00:51:39.440 you're if you're in

00:51:40.080 your 70s or 80s and

00:51:41.740 it's negative 20

00:51:42.640 outside you might

00:51:43.620 just not go out

00:51:44.760 even in Iowa where

00:51:45.780 you're strong and

00:51:46.460 you've been through it

00:51:47.100 before so it is a

00:51:48.520 it is a bizarro x

00:51:49.840 factor in a in a

00:51:51.180 strange election

00:51:51.800 already so look at

00:51:53.620 this this is time

00:51:54.380 labs video that we

00:51:55.080 were just showing a

00:51:55.720 Buffalo New York is

00:51:56.700 Buffalo's getting it 0.95

00:51:57.720 Missouri got it we 0.97

00:51:58.900 saw Kansas City in the

00:52:00.640 football game and then

00:52:02.200 Iowa's getting like it's

00:52:03.220 just this Arctic blast

00:52:04.760 all through that

00:52:05.580 region I don't know

00:52:06.520 if you saw online the

00:52:07.720 the pics of the

00:52:09.020 Buffalo Bills stadium

00:52:10.200 and I totally agreed

00:52:13.020 with people who are

00:52:13.760 saying because they

00:52:14.400 postponed that game

00:52:15.340 they denied us the

00:52:17.080 greatest football game

00:52:18.380 of all time to see

00:52:20.000 those guys out there

00:52:21.240 playing on that and

00:52:22.580 it's kind of what's

00:52:24.000 happening in Iowa

00:52:24.960 tonight in a different

00:52:26.420 way different kind of

00:52:27.360 gridiron I would go

00:52:29.160 out I would I've told

00:52:30.160 the audience before when

00:52:30.960 I was at Syracuse

00:52:31.860 University we used to

00:52:33.680 have to do the rope

00:52:34.800 toe they set up the

00:52:36.180 rope toe so you could

00:52:37.420 get yourself to class

00:52:38.580 and early on in my

00:52:40.540 career when I went to

00:52:41.400 Jones Day which was in

00:52:42.360 Chicago we got a

00:52:43.940 message from the from

00:52:45.320 the firm saying you're

00:52:47.720 lawyers you have

00:52:48.700 responsibilities when

00:52:50.020 the snow hits you

00:52:51.100 don't get a snow day

00:52:52.000 if you need snow shoes

00:52:54.760 and a flashlight to get

00:52:56.940 yourself to work get

00:52:58.540 them you're expected to

00:52:59.880 be here I was like holy 0.99

00:53:01.160 shit I was made for 0.94

00:53:02.200 this anyway I think it 0.99

00:53:04.140 will affect some

00:53:04.760 turnout but I don't

00:53:06.600 know it could be a

00:53:07.280 factor tonight yeah I

00:53:09.720 remember being in

00:53:10.860 Binghamton we'd wake up

00:53:12.360 and my car would

00:53:13.100 literally be in a block

00:53:14.180 of ice and I'd have to

00:53:15.160 spend an hour just

00:53:16.080 chipping away at ice

00:53:16.920 just so that I could

00:53:17.640 maybe get my car to

00:53:18.820 turn on so I could

00:53:19.580 maybe get to class that

00:53:20.460 was probably canceled so

00:53:21.760 yeah it will probably

00:53:23.040 affect things isn't it

00:53:25.540 just crazy like if you

00:53:26.520 really think if you

00:53:27.260 step back for a second

00:53:28.200 and you think about

00:53:28.840 how our whole system

00:53:29.840 operates it's like we're

00:53:31.240 putting so much on Iowa

00:53:33.560 a fairly small state

00:53:35.320 an important state

00:53:35.980 obviously for agricultural

00:53:36.920 reasons and other

00:53:37.860 reasons but like so much

00:53:39.320 pressure on just it's

00:53:40.980 less than 200,000 people

00:53:42.660 really who will most

00:53:43.840 likely caucus tonight and

00:53:45.880 they have a huge amount

00:53:46.880 of influence that's what

00:53:47.760 I kept saying on my show

00:53:48.620 this morning if you're

00:53:49.600 watching my show or if

00:53:50.580 you're watching Megan

00:53:51.240 right now and you live in

00:53:52.840 Iowa like you have a 0.88

00:53:54.040 disproportionate chance to

00:53:56.340 to set America right

00:53:57.900 whatever direction you

00:53:58.840 think that is right for

00:53:59.940 you you have a chance if

00:54:01.180 you're an Iowan that if 0.56

00:54:02.140 you're a much later state

00:54:03.280 person or by the time

00:54:04.520 Super Tuesday comes and

00:54:05.660 they already cut all the

00:54:06.500 deals and they figure out

00:54:07.920 who's going to be the

00:54:08.480 winner it's like if you're

00:54:10.040 in Iowa right now how cool

00:54:11.460 that your vote truly truly

00:54:13.880 matters every single one of

00:54:15.240 you people I thank God

00:54:17.620 frankly that it's Iowa

00:54:19.000 they're Midwest it they make 0.92

00:54:21.360 sense they're not insane

00:54:23.180 they have a good mix of

00:54:24.780 what the Republican Party

00:54:25.680 looks like you know

00:54:26.780 they've got like their

00:54:27.420 diehard conservatives and

00:54:28.700 evangelicals and then

00:54:30.320 they have sort of the

00:54:31.320 other not as devout

00:54:32.960 Republicans and I just

00:54:35.060 they do their homework

00:54:36.220 you know they get wooed

00:54:37.540 by these candidates for

00:54:38.640 the better part of a year

00:54:39.620 they seem to be up on the

00:54:41.080 issues and it's not all

00:54:42.400 issues like you know the 0.57

00:54:43.460 crazy ass stuff that's 0.97

00:54:44.760 driving New Yorkers to the 0.98

00:54:45.940 polls like the guy with

00:54:47.160 the farm you know they

00:54:48.220 have actual agricultural

00:54:49.440 they're used to supporting

00:54:50.680 their families they're not 0.72

00:54:52.080 living in the DEI insane

00:54:54.200 universe that you might

00:54:55.160 find even Republicans

00:54:56.120 immersed in in a place

00:54:57.100 like California your old

00:54:58.180 state anyway I think it

00:55:00.220 makes sense it makes

00:55:01.220 perfect sense for the

00:55:01.980 Republicans to start in

00:55:03.200 Iowa and I God bless them

00:55:05.820 I hope they do the right

00:55:06.560 thing tonight and choose

00:55:07.640 somebody who can actually

00:55:08.520 win that's the most

00:55:09.440 important thing choose

00:55:10.220 someone who can win

00:55:11.820 now Nikki Haley she

00:55:14.820 stepped in it Dave I am

00:55:17.300 not one of those people

00:55:17.860 who can't stand Nikki

00:55:18.720 Haley I realize like the

00:55:19.880 hardcore Vivek people

00:55:21.260 can't stand her now I'm

00:55:22.360 not one I would vote for

00:55:23.160 Nikki Haley too I'm I'm I

00:55:24.480 guess I'm an easy date

00:55:25.340 because I'd vote for any

00:55:26.380 of these guys on the GOP

00:55:27.960 side right right you just

00:55:30.080 don't want any more Biden

00:55:31.200 or whatever that thing is

00:55:32.320 yeah no and I'm not alone

00:55:34.040 because the ABC News poll

00:55:35.300 shows that he's now at

00:55:36.360 33% approval rating which

00:55:38.540 is the lowest in 15 years

00:55:40.760 for any president worse

00:55:42.520 than Trump's low as

00:55:43.840 president which was 36% it's

00:55:46.020 an embarrassment it's an

00:55:47.240 embarrassment but anyway back

00:55:48.640 to Nikki Haley she gets

00:55:50.000 asked the most basic

00:55:51.920 question since I asked it

00:55:53.180 of Donald Trump and he

00:55:54.620 did okay on it everybody's

00:55:57.680 being asked it here's how

00:56:00.460 she handled it what can a 0.98

00:56:02.020 man become a woman watch 1.00

00:56:03.940 one thing I saw him do was

00:56:06.580 he said that you know he

00:56:10.120 had trouble answering the

00:56:10.980 question could a man become

00:56:12.200 a woman and I'm just

00:56:13.780 wondering what what your

00:56:14.780 response to that question

00:56:15.740 is now can a man become a

00:56:17.780 woman there's been a lot 0.99

00:56:18.780 that's been talked about

00:56:19.680 when it comes to all of

00:56:22.080 these roles and all of

00:56:23.100 these issues I strongly

00:56:25.020 believe that we should not

00:56:27.240 allow any gender change 0.98

00:56:30.280 surgeries to anyone before

00:56:32.620 the age of 18 period we

00:56:36.060 kids now can't get a tattoo

00:56:38.820 until they're 18 we

00:56:40.300 shouldn't have them

00:56:40.980 permanently change their

00:56:42.060 body until they're 18 and

00:56:44.060 that includes puberty

00:56:45.140 blockers that includes any

00:56:47.040 sort of hormones that would 0.99

00:56:48.200 do that after the age of

00:56:50.420 18 we want to make sure

00:56:54.360 people can live any way

00:56:55.960 they want to live that's a

00:56:59.120 dodge the answer is no

00:57:01.220 unbelievably terrible answer

00:57:03.000 right right when you ask

00:57:04.260 Trump and you were in that

00:57:05.440 essence you were just asking

00:57:06.380 Mike it's the easiest

00:57:07.640 question men cannot become 0.90

00:57:09.460 women women cannot become 1.00

00:57:10.680 men it's a different

00:57:11.820 question then do you are you

00:57:13.740 okay morally with an adult

00:57:15.480 male dressing as the 0.96

00:57:16.620 opposite sex and using

00:57:18.100 different pronouns that's a

00:57:19.120 completely different topic

00:57:20.200 but you cannot Megan not to

00:57:22.000 get too graphic here but if I

00:57:23.120 chop my wang off while we

00:57:24.920 were doing this live that 0.73

00:57:26.180 wouldn't make me a woman and 0.99

00:57:27.660 if you chop some some tissue

00:57:29.500 off your arm and gave

00:57:30.560 yourself one that wouldn't

00:57:32.000 make you a man I'm sorry I 1.00

00:57:33.440 know it's a little early in

00:57:34.340 the day I've been under a lot

00:57:35.320 of pressure with this caucus

00:57:36.280 thing but you get the point

00:57:37.720 everyone oh my god this is

00:57:39.340 like an x-rated show wangs

00:57:40.840 and caucuses oh I could

00:57:44.240 have there was some caucus

00:57:45.100 too well she did it already 0.99

00:57:46.080 but that would have been

00:57:46.680 there you go yeah good

00:57:47.420 that's good that's good but

00:57:48.860 it's the easiest question

00:57:50.220 why she especially you're 1.00

00:57:51.840 running as a republican this

00:57:53.360 isn't even the general

00:57:54.380 election yet where you're

00:57:55.380 gonna have to pander to some

00:57:56.520 lefties well right is she 1.00

00:57:58.700 that's she's like oh the 0.58

00:58:00.080 liberals love me so I'm just

00:58:01.320 gonna give them this little

00:58:02.460 you know these this candy

00:58:04.600 that was a total fail now

00:58:07.200 look Trump did not answer

00:58:08.480 this question well Ron

00:58:09.780 DeSantis headed out of the

00:58:10.880 park I think Trump

00:58:12.140 eventually will get there I

00:58:13.280 don't think Trump is on team

00:58:15.560 trans but just for the

00:58:17.220 audience at home here's how

00:58:18.520 it went when they got asked

00:58:19.860 can a man become a woman

00:58:22.160 in my opinion you have a man

00:58:29.000 you have a woman I I think I

00:58:31.740 think part of it is birth can

00:58:33.760 the man give birth no no 0.95

00:58:36.020 although they'll come up with

00:58:37.080 some answer to that also let

00:58:38.380 me ask you some can a man

00:58:40.760 become a woman no how 0.98

00:58:43.540 ridiculous that we're even 0.99

00:58:44.660 asking that question god 0.93

00:58:47.280 bless him that was the only

00:58:48.560 way to answer it yeah I mean

00:58:50.860 Trump no it doesn't have to

00:58:52.520 do with birth because there

00:58:53.500 are women biological biological 1.00

00:58:55.860 there are women actual women 1.00

00:58:57.320 who for whatever reason can't

00:58:58.680 give birth that doesn't not 1.00

00:58:59.660 make them a woman the fact that 1.00

00:59:01.160 he was waffling there it just

00:59:02.320 doesn't really make sense to me

00:59:03.300 of course DeSantis is right

00:59:04.600 Nikki it's just so weird it

00:59:07.220 really it's so she knows right

00:59:09.540 and Trump knows it too they know

00:59:11.800 you cannot magically become the

00:59:13.760 other gender that is different

00:59:15.080 than how people choose to live or

00:59:16.840 what names they use or what

00:59:17.980 clothes they wear that's a

00:59:19.080 completely different issue but

00:59:20.700 if we've whittled everything down

00:59:22.120 to that then you wonder why if

00:59:23.940 why we have problems in every

00:59:25.440 other way if our politicians in 0.86

00:59:27.420 modern times can't tell you that

00:59:29.000 there are differences between

00:59:30.140 boys and girls like we got some

00:59:32.080 serious no wonder we can't

00:59:33.620 solve a border or a middle

00:59:35.320 here's the problem or yeah

00:59:36.780 here's the problem she's been 0.84

00:59:38.560 strong on no boys and girl

00:59:40.020 sports you know girl boys

00:59:41.580 claiming that they're that

00:59:42.700 they're girls she's been

00:59:43.880 strong on that and that's the

00:59:44.980 only piece of this issue she's

00:59:46.720 been strong on that's the only

00:59:48.200 piece when she was asked at

00:59:50.080 that CNN town hall about

00:59:52.300 transitioning and they got a

00:59:55.520 little closer to actual

00:59:56.520 procedures she she wiggled she 0.99

00:59:59.560 didn't sound good at all and

01:00:00.720 Ron DeSantis has been trying to

01:00:01.840 raise this repeatedly with her

01:00:03.180 she's been trying to dodge it

01:00:04.200 when she came on my show post

01:00:05.720 the debate she said she was

01:00:06.740 against the medicalization

01:00:08.460 procedures for minors but that

01:00:10.600 was the clearest I ever heard

01:00:11.480 her speak to it and I was

01:00:12.360 hammering her pretty good on it

01:00:13.480 I I'm she doesn't seem to be a

01:00:16.800 diehard believer like most

01:00:18.660 Republicans are on this it's

01:00:20.220 become what I think is really

01:00:21.380 the social issue of our time and

01:00:23.460 in the women's lane the civil 0.84

01:00:24.820 rights issue of our time I don't

01:00:27.240 know that she's going to keep men 1.00

01:00:28.860 out of women's spaces locker 1.00

01:00:30.700 rooms bathrooms sports I

01:00:33.060 believe her because she's been

01:00:33.920 saying that for a long time

01:00:34.940 but the bathroom she didn't 0.99

01:00:36.360 stand up for when she was in

01:00:37.800 South Carolina and the rest of

01:00:39.160 it she's been too soft on she

01:00:41.500 she takes too long and this is

01:00:43.400 just the latest example I it I

01:00:46.160 hope and pray it's a pander I

01:00:49.180 hope it's a pander but I don't I

01:00:51.600 don't think it is Dave do you

01:00:53.440 think it's possible that her

01:00:54.660 calculation on this is that she's

01:00:56.400 like oh descent there's Trump

01:00:57.760 is Trump DeSantis is the you

01:01:00.000 know like hardcore anti-woke

01:01:01.880 anti-Disney guy so she's like I

01:01:04.240 don't want to just replicate

01:01:05.240 that I want to just be like a 0.62

01:01:06.920 slightly softer thing you know

01:01:08.340 she had that tweet she had that

01:01:09.720 tweet a couple months ago where

01:01:10.840 she basically was like hey

01:01:12.180 just Disney if you don't want to

01:01:13.460 be in Florida thanks to Ron

01:01:14.960 DeSantis come to South Carolina

01:01:16.100 and it's like man that is 1.00

01:01:17.340 pathetic because every 0.99

01:01:18.740 Republican again whether whether 0.99

01:01:20.200 you want DeSantis to be

01:01:21.280 president or not should be very

01:01:23.080 proud of and totally in support

01:01:24.680 of what he did to Disney so

01:01:27.380 she's playing it both ways 0.99

01:01:29.160 because she's trying to figure 0.95

01:01:30.260 out what her angle is rather 0.88

01:01:31.620 than just call balls and

01:01:32.900 strikes that was a pun that was

01:01:34.780 a pun did you get it there you

01:01:36.040 go got another one in I was

01:01:37.960 against the Disney thing I mean

01:01:39.680 I I'm not pro Disney at all but

01:01:41.220 as you know we you know I've

01:01:42.220 debated that number of times and

01:01:43.440 Ron DeSantis and I debated that

01:01:44.780 but I do like the FAFO like

01:01:48.020 nature of it I like that I just

01:01:49.720 don't think right I don't like

01:01:51.060 politicians in our business I

01:01:53.280 don't like politicians what it

01:01:54.620 boils down to okay so there is a

01:01:57.480 politician down they're going to

01:01:58.900 leave Iowa we're going to go

01:02:00.040 down to the southeast to Atlanta

01:02:02.580 my brother's hometown now adopted

01:02:05.500 hometown and Fannie Willis we have

01:02:08.200 got to talk about this have you

01:02:11.280 been following what's going on with

01:02:12.320 this prosecutor this day I have I

01:02:14.040 have okay sadly there's nothing that

01:02:16.580 can be too crazy these days but

01:02:18.260 nothing take it away she's she's

01:02:20.140 reportedly boinking her co-counsel

01:02:22.680 the special prosecutor she brought

01:02:24.360 in this guy Nathan Wade and she

01:02:26.960 brought in a three special

01:02:28.860 prosecutors to help her with this 0.86

01:02:29.980 massive prosecution against Trump

01:02:31.460 and 18 others she wanted to point

01:02:33.580 out as she they gave these remarks

01:02:35.160 in church which I'm going to play

01:02:36.240 for the audience in part in a

01:02:37.380 minute I think the other two are

01:02:39.260 white this guy's black she's making 1.00

01:02:40.760 it a race issue but she's in 0.92

01:02:42.320 trouble as far as I know she's not 0.93

01:02:43.560 screwing the other two but she is 1.00

01:02:45.780 reportedly screwing the one guy 0.94

01:02:47.000 and it's turned into a thing

01:02:48.660 because one of the defendants has

01:02:49.900 filed a motion trying to get her 0.61

01:02:51.160 kicked off the case as well as the

01:02:52.560 Nathan Wade special prosecutor

01:02:54.040 because what they're alleging is

01:02:56.520 she's been flying all over the world

01:02:58.440 on his dime which she authorized and

01:03:01.840 it's the taxpayers money that she's 1.00

01:03:03.780 using to improve her life in these

01:03:05.900 flights and these lavish trips while 0.92

01:03:08.000 she's screwing this guy and thus 1.00

01:03:09.420 creating an incentive for her to keep 0.86

01:03:10.940 this case going longer than it

01:03:13.060 necessarily should her interests as a

01:03:14.920 DA or to pursue justice not to get a

01:03:18.520 conviction or make sure the case goes

01:03:20.400 to trial if you're making moolah or

01:03:22.800 getting trips to Napa off of the fact

01:03:25.080 that it's ongoing you've compromised

01:03:26.760 yourself most prosecutors would never

01:03:28.780 come near this kind of a scandal so

01:03:31.140 she hasn't explicitly denied it she

01:03:33.660 got up and gave this big speech at

01:03:35.500 church which was pre-planned it was in

01:03:37.780 advance of Martin Luther King Day she

01:03:39.780 didn't deny it he was asked about it

01:03:41.520 too you know what he didn't do he

01:03:42.540 brandished his gun publicly but he

01:03:44.680 didn't deny it if it face to come to

01:03:47.100 me and say are you and Dave Rubin

01:03:48.560 having a secret crossover love affair

01:03:51.260 what I say is no no days my great

01:03:56.480 friend I love him not in that way no

01:03:58.680 one's denied it which tells that one

01:04:00.440 time that one okay maybe I was really

01:04:04.420 drunk no no it didn't have all the

01:04:06.360 tequila but I am first on your

01:04:08.280 crossover tour and David's too here they

01:04:11.760 are she goes down to her church and

01:04:15.140 Dave she makes the whole thing she's 0.99

01:04:17.880 clearly addressing the scandal for the

01:04:19.300 first time and makes it all about race

01:04:23.660 listen to this

01:04:25.040 why does Commissioner Thorne and so many

01:04:29.600 others question my decision in a special

01:04:32.200 counsel I appointed three special

01:04:34.500 counsel this is my right to do paid them

01:04:38.100 all the same hourly rate they only attack

01:04:41.340 one first thing they say oh she gonna play

01:04:45.420 the race card now but no she's about to 1.00

01:04:48.040 isn't it them who's playing the race 0.61

01:04:50.560 card when they only question one why are

01:04:53.560 they so surprised that a diverse team

01:04:56.420 that I assembled your child can accomplish

01:05:00.280 extraordinary things God wasn't it them

01:05:04.060 that attacked this lawyer of impeccable

01:05:06.160 credentials how come God the same black 0.99

01:05:09.880 man I hired was acceptable when a 0.96

01:05:13.560 Republican in another county hired him

01:05:15.700 and paid him twice the rate was that

01:05:18.440 Republican sleeping with him why is the

01:05:20.620 white male Republicans judgment good 0.99

01:05:23.880 enough but the black female Democrats 1.00

01:05:26.940 not did he sleep with him I just a point 0.95

01:05:30.820 of clarification did that white male 0.99

01:05:32.780 Republican have sex with Nathan Wade it's 0.96

01:05:35.340 relevant and then take him to Napa and 1.00

01:05:36.940 Jamaica and Florida just asking for a

01:05:38.600 friend Dave do you believe this nonsense

01:05:41.160 well first off I don't know that it's for me

01:05:43.960 to say but like I don't like all that sort

01:05:45.460 of political stuff happening in churches I

01:05:47.260 think it's problem that our places of

01:05:48.780 faith have become so politicized and all

01:05:51.160 of that that's a separate issue but I

01:05:53.140 would also say I mean this is consistent

01:05:54.700 what almost everyone with what almost

01:05:56.840 everyone does when confronted with their

01:05:59.500 own mistakes or their own deflections or

01:06:02.920 whatever look at Claudine Gay at Harvard

01:06:04.660 this is the exact same thing she basically she

01:06:07.640 gets caught in the crazy you know can we

01:06:09.620 call for genocide of Jews scandal that she 0.99

01:06:11.600 would have skated by on that one as a black 0.98

01:06:13.900 woman I really believe that she would 0.92

01:06:15.320 have gotten by but then they get you know

01:06:17.040 these over 50 instances of plagiarism and

01:06:19.620 then she basically says it's because I'm a

01:06:21.840 black woman but it has nothing to do with 1.00

01:06:23.840 that if you find 50 instances of plagiarism 0.97

01:06:27.260 through a white Christian rich president of 0.55

01:06:30.840 another school we should go after him too and

01:06:32.560 that's the same thing here it's because of

01:06:34.780 behavior not skin color and that has always

01:06:37.080 been the real danger of DEI has been that we

01:06:41.840 will ultimately be putting people in in jobs

01:06:44.520 that they're not qualified for and I'm not

01:06:46.140 saying she wasn't qualified to be the DA

01:06:47.700 originally but we're going to put all of

01:06:49.580 these people in places they're going to we're

01:06:51.740 going to talk about race constantly and then

01:06:53.580 whenever they do anything wrong like sleeping

01:06:55.880 with the guy they're going to blame it on

01:06:57.960 race and that is a huge huge problem that 0.99

01:07:00.280 we're even though a lot of DEI stuff is

01:07:02.620 crumbling right now we're just at the

01:07:04.700 beginning of untethering how how deeply

01:07:07.160 infected it is from all of our institutions

01:07:09.520 and everything else I got news for Fannie

01:07:11.940 Willis if she decides to sleep with the 0.55

01:07:14.100 white prosecutor she brought in and then go 1.00

01:07:16.920 to Napa and Florida and Jamaica on his dime

01:07:19.800 that she authorized we will be coming for her

01:07:21.880 and it won't be about anybody's skin color in

01:07:24.100 that instance either it's so absurd it's not

01:07:27.160 going to work she's struggling this is this is

01:07:31.120 like the last desperate card of somebody

01:07:33.180 who's under fire and she knows it she knows

01:07:35.400 she's in trouble she crossed an ethical line

01:07:36.980 if any of this is true it's only an

01:07:38.640 allegation so far but the lawyer making the

01:07:40.500 allegation says she's seen Nathan Wade's now

01:07:43.880 sealed divorce file it wasn't sealed when

01:07:47.060 she saw it and Fannie Willis has been

01:07:49.260 subpoenaed to give testimony in that divorce

01:07:52.260 proceeding hmm now why would that be do you

01:07:56.560 think the divorced the soon-to-be-divorced 0.99

01:07:58.940 wife has a real interest in the Trump case 1.00

01:08:00.740 she just really wants to hear what exactly

01:08:03.200 is Nathan working on tell me all about it

01:08:05.240 oh he's working on you working on you okay

01:08:08.600 we'll see how that one pans out all right

01:08:10.980 this is a weird term but I want to ask you

01:08:12.720 about something that was all over the

01:08:14.100 internet because I just thought it would be

01:08:15.300 fun for you and I talk about there is some

01:08:18.160 worker who worked for is it cloud source what

01:08:22.160 is it cloud my team will get me the name of

01:08:24.720 her company but she decided she knew the

01:08:27.640 layoff was coming cloud cloud flare she knew

01:08:31.540 layoff was coming very clearly and because

01:08:34.740 you know you find out when there's a riff

01:08:36.300 or whatever everybody's calling each other 0.88

01:08:38.320 like holy shit I got fired how about you and 0.99

01:08:40.480 she sets up her little camera over there 0.99

01:08:42.660 right on the side filming herself as she

01:08:45.380 gets the bad news she's clearly only been

01:08:47.940 working working for the company for four

01:08:49.660 months she gets her defense out in the 0.54

01:08:51.300 course of this 20 minute thing which I

01:08:52.660 sadly watched and it's HR and two people

01:08:57.700 out from HR it sounds like giving her the

01:08:59.540 news and the whole thing is her rejecting 0.65

01:09:03.420 the firing and saying she had three months

01:09:06.000 of training only one real month of performance

01:09:08.500 and she did she didn't close any deals but 0.89

01:09:12.300 like she came close and she shouldn't be

01:09:14.580 fired but I'll explain why I want to talk

01:09:16.900 about it watch I disagree that my performance

01:09:21.020 hasn't been um I haven't met performance

01:09:25.120 expectations um when I certainly have just

01:09:30.260 because I haven't closed anything officially

01:09:32.440 I hear you um also why are you doing this

01:09:37.560 and not my manager not you know we've never

01:09:40.160 met so this seems a little odd yeah I would

01:09:42.780 love like an explanation that makes sense

01:09:45.320 just for clarification you are not being

01:09:48.100 singled out in this your peers are also

01:09:50.120 being collectively um assessed on performance

01:09:53.400 this is a collective calibration for Cloudflare

01:09:55.700 wait yeah no can you explain for me why

01:09:57.900 Brittany Peach is getting let go 0.94

01:09:59.800 the I won't be able to go into specifics for

01:10:04.700 numbers wait why though I just started I've

01:10:08.320 been working extremely hard just because I

01:10:11.300 haven't closed anything that has nothing to

01:10:13.340 do with my performance and so I really need

01:10:16.620 an answer and an explanation as to why

01:10:18.520 Brittany Peach is getting let go not why Cloudflare

01:10:21.860 decided to hire too many people and are now

01:10:24.500 actually realizing that they can't afford this

01:10:26.300 many people and they're letting that go if

01:10:28.140 that's the real answer I would rather just you 0.99

01:10:30.140 tell me that instead of making up some bullshit 0.88

01:10:32.040 it's just very very shocking very very shocking 0.87

01:10:35.160 I have like really given my whole energy and life

01:10:39.640 over the last four months to this job and to be

01:10:42.040 let go for no reason is like a huge slap in the face

01:10:45.940 from a company that I really wanted to believe in

01:10:48.580 Dave I have news for Brittany it's really none of 0.99

01:10:57.380 your fucking business I'm like I can't stand the sense 0.99

01:11:00.500 of entitlement you unless you have an employment 1.00

01:11:03.360 contract I can fire you because I don't like your ugly 1.00

01:11:06.020 sweater I don't have to tell you why companies these

01:11:09.740 days don't tell you why because it just sets them up for

01:11:13.160 a lawsuit unless it's a contract that requires a

01:11:16.820 four cause termination and money which this clearly

01:11:19.300 wasn't right like Tucker Carlson yeah if you're gonna

01:11:22.940 turf that guy he gets a different payout depending on

01:11:26.180 what your reason is you do need to tell anyway they didn't

01:11:29.800 tell her that if you watch the whole thing there's this

01:11:32.100 sense of entitlement they start to tell her like okay she

01:11:35.700 let me stop you right there and she starts demanding 1.00

01:11:38.180 answers you're not the CEO of the company who do you

01:11:40.920 think you are I need I need to know why I need an answer I

01:11:45.440 would rather you say it this way I have given my it's a you

01:11:49.980 know what you have no right to work at any company and if you

01:11:53.020 didn't sign the deal promise promising you ongoing

01:11:56.140 employment you can be fired at any time unless it's an

01:11:59.640 unlawful reason like your age your gender or a protected 0.99

01:12:03.480 class I am sick of these young entitled people trying to play 1.00

01:12:09.340 the victim when something happens to them that's happened to

01:12:12.100 all of us in the course of our lives and we used to be we'd

01:12:15.340 understand like well that sucks I'm pissed at cloud flare on I

01:12:18.980 go with my life the idea that she videotaped this thing is so 0.94

01:12:24.760 crazy and yet it is an absolute sign of the times right she

01:12:28.820 wants to be the victim now I'll go with her that she probably 1.00

01:12:33.000 worked very hard let's say she was pretty competent and worked

01:12:35.460 pretty hard over there now she didn't close any deals and as you 0.99

01:12:38.180 said she's an at will employee so they're entitled to fire whoever

01:12:41.180 they want for whatever reason even if the reasoning is just that

01:12:44.380 they hired too many people and that the managers above her did 0.88

01:12:47.200 not look at the budgets properly you're still allowed to be fired

01:12:50.080 so nobody you don't get an explanation like you might want the

01:12:53.760 explanation and okay but you're not owed an explanation but the

01:12:57.960 idea that she put this online unfortunately is is such a piece of

01:13:03.240 the virus that has infected so many young people's minds because

01:13:06.040 what she's trying to get there is social cred like you see how I'm

01:13:10.080 really the victim here but what she's actually going to get instead

01:13:13.380 is well first off Megyn Kelly is is talking about her and you know she's

01:13:17.240 going to be made fun of on all these shows but also it's like who's going

01:13:20.240 to want to hire you now you're going to be the girl who who videotapes 0.99

01:13:24.500 yourself being fired so who's going to want to hire you and give you 0.99

01:13:27.900 information about their company and wonder if you're recording them and

01:13:31.240 everything else it's like basic who does she think she is I'm going to need 0.53

01:13:35.820 an answer you're not calling the shots here

01:13:39.080 Brittany you're an employee you don't get an answer because you've demanded it

01:13:44.460 from HR who do she think she is this is probably why she got fired 1.00

01:13:48.320 because she had an entitled snotty attitude about what the world owes her

01:13:52.520 by the way the CEO of the company Matthew Prince has now weighed in

01:13:56.140 saying we fired about 40 salespeople out of over 1500 in our go-to market org

01:14:05.160 that's a normal quarter when we're doing performance management right we can

01:14:09.260 often tell within three months or less of a sales hire even during the

01:14:12.960 holidays that was one of her points whether they're going to be successful

01:14:15.880 or not sadly we don't hire perfectly but we try to fire perfectly that's the

01:14:20.320 thing it's like Brittany you know what you've invited you've invited the

01:14:23.000 company to publicly humiliate you they could tell in your limited time of the

01:14:26.520 job that you weren't up to it you admitted you didn't close deals don't 0.99

01:14:30.500 be such a pathetic troll it didn't work out for you here go find someplace else 1.00

01:14:34.380 where they like you but work fucking harder try harder and I guarantee you 1.00

01:14:38.240 that out of that hired hiring class there were many others sounds like there were 0.97

01:14:41.840 what 1500 plus who were doing just fine who didn't get fired now you've

01:14:47.200 invited a comparison between yourself and them you should have just kept your

01:14:50.660 mouth shut gone to the next job and said geez there was a massive rift because

01:14:54.500 they hired too many people now you've got the CEO calling your qualifications 0.98

01:14:57.760 into question the whole thing is ridiculous almost everybody's been fired

01:15:02.080 from a job and they moved on with dignity and tried to find another one I can't

01:15:07.420 tell you how I can't tell how you feel about this story I mean me could you just

01:15:10.700 tell me how you really feel holy entitlement I really do I hate entitlement I'm

01:15:14.920 with Jody Foster did you see how she make that made the comment about working with 0.72

01:15:18.620 these Gen Zers on her latest movie set she's like they're a nightmare she's 1.00

01:15:23.100 like they they show up when they want they're like oh that really doesn't work

01:15:26.160 for me right now not sure and she said their emails are a disaster in terms of

01:15:30.060 the grammatical errors she's like what did you proofread this and they're like well

01:15:33.440 why should I be so constrained when it comes to grant I work hard keep your nose 0.96

01:15:39.580 to the grindstone keep your head down in your mouth shut other than to volunteer

01:15:44.080 for jobs that you think are beneath you that's how you make an impression that's

01:15:48.440 how you get ahead that's what will make the difference between you and the

01:15:51.160 others so you don't get included in the riff poor me I demand answers I'm telling

01:15:56.920 you I was great and I'm gonna videotape you and post it online is not the way

01:16:01.180 forward look the simple truth is there are people who see the way the world is and

01:16:06.660 then behave accordingly and then there's another set of people that want the

01:16:09.740 world to bend to however they wish it would be she's seen Brittany here seems

01:16:14.520 to fall into the latter camp like I want things to be a certain way and I worked

01:16:18.800 here and I didn't close any deals but I deserve a job the CEO is clearly saying

01:16:24.600 that's not the case the the truth though is that you can look at the world the way

01:16:28.700 it is and people can hire people they can fire people you will be judged based on

01:16:33.680 your character and your competence and your hard work and and a bunch of stuff

01:16:36.900 that sometimes is unfair as well but it's on you to level up I mean that

01:16:41.580 that's actually the beauty of life it kind of sucks if you view yourself as a

01:16:44.940 victim all the time but if you look at life as as a series of challenges to

01:16:49.660 better yourself and better your relationships and be honest in your

01:16:53.700 business dealings and hopefully in your private life and all those things you can

01:16:57.120 start creating structures around you that will allow you to accomplish a lot of

01:17:02.180 the things that you want maybe not the exact dream that you had when you were 21 you

01:17:05.580 know I wanted to be a sports center anchor at one time when I was like 15 I

01:17:09.800 wanted to go to Syracuse actually because they had the best communications

01:17:13.260 department and that's where Bob Costas went I think Marv Albert and all these

01:17:16.560 other guys and Megyn Kelly went there and and I didn't become a sports

01:17:20.160 broadcaster but I did become a broadcaster and and I love what I'm doing so it's

01:17:24.640 like if you work hard and you you find out where your weaknesses are you don't

01:17:28.480 burn every bridge known to man you don't turn on everybody you don't

01:17:32.260 videotape private calls things might work out for you maybe right you you

01:17:37.820 don't play the victim of just correction I did not go to Newhouse I did not get

01:17:40.640 in I went to the political science school I love that story but in any event

01:17:44.620 the it reminded me of when I was in law school I did a an internship I did a

01:17:52.200 couple of them right you do one after first year doing after second year after

01:17:54.680 second year I really hoped that that turned into a real job offer for me I was

01:17:58.020 in Syracuse New York I went to law school in Albany but I went back to

01:18:00.600 Syracuse for an internship at a law firm and I really I mean at that point in

01:18:04.420 my life Dave I was planning on taking a job working in Syracuse at some small

01:18:08.120 law firm and I thought I'd you know work as a Syracuse lawyer and get married to 1.00

01:18:12.880 some guy there and that's where I would live my life well they didn't make me an

01:18:16.620 offer did not make me an offer at the end of the summer and I was devastated I

01:18:20.780 couldn't believe it I went out in my did I videotape anybody no I did not I went out

01:18:25.560 in my car and I cried that's what happened I felt bad for myself for about two

01:18:29.060 minutes I was disappointed in myself for not getting the offer and then I went

01:18:32.980 back to law school for my third year and I worked my ass off I went to the

01:18:38.260 career center I asked questions about what could I possibly get most of my

01:18:41.800 colleagues have already gotten their big job offers from these big New York City

01:18:44.780 firms which I didn't get into to begin with you know I got into the smaller

01:18:48.240 Syracuse firm and they didn't make me an offer what can I do I got the list I

01:18:52.340 worked them all I considered my grades I considered everything what kind of a

01:18:55.940 person is this firm looking and that firm blah blah blah long story short I got

01:18:59.840 an offer from this firm that was paying more than double what that Syracuse firm

01:19:03.800 had offered me and was offering me the chance to go to DC or Dallas or New York

01:19:08.520 or Chicago all of which were so exciting to me a small-town girl and I wound up

01:19:12.820 going to Chicago where I'd never been and I loved it and by the way that Syracuse

01:19:16.940 firm then came back to me and made me an offer but the point is every setback you

01:19:21.900 have is a chance for an opportunity it's a chance for something bigger and

01:19:26.320 better to happen it's a chance for you to reflect on yourself why didn't you get

01:19:29.960 saved why were you turfed it doesn't matter what they say you know in your

01:19:34.660 heart and in your head there's something you left on the play on the on the

01:19:37.800 playing field there there has to be otherwise they would have held on do better

01:19:42.060 use it as an opportunity as a gift for your next chapter don't sit there playing

01:19:46.940 the victim lamenting the past couple of months or what this company who doesn't

01:19:51.480 know you did to you it's the it's a loser's mentality I love seeing this

01:19:57.000 Jordan Peterson-esque version of Megyn Kelly of course you're so right and don't

01:20:01.660 you for all your success and fame and all the stuff that you've accomplished

01:20:04.800 don't you look back on some of those as the good old days like the struggle

01:20:08.660 part of it and the crying in the car it was all because I feel that too I had years

01:20:13.480 where I was absolutely broke you know I was standing out in Times Square handing

01:20:17.740 out tickets to comedy shows no matter what the weather was like two hours a 0.74

01:20:21.820 night I bartended I waited tables I did every ridiculous job you could do I was

01:20:26.720 I was part-time janitor at one of the comedy clubs cleanups and trust me there's

01:20:31.120 nothing worse than a comedy club bathroom like I did all of that and and it

01:20:34.940 was horrible at the time but I had a dream and now I look back and I'm like I

01:20:39.080 don't know how the hell I did it I honestly have no idea how I survived but I did

01:20:42.760 survive I I was so broke that I had a buddy of mine who was in food service in

01:20:47.280 the tri-state area and he used to deliver me commercial size tuna fish in

01:20:53.440 giant cans like huge cans like this that were for restaurants and big things of

01:20:58.140 soup and that's what I survived on for like three years I couldn't scrape two

01:21:01.940 coins together to get a cup of coffee at Zay bars on the Upper West but 0.98

01:21:05.660 eventually the work the work the work you don't know why you're doing it it sucks

01:21:09.520 you're depressed is it ever gonna happen but otherwise everyone would do

01:21:14.820 whatever the hell they wanted to do if it was easy if it was all easy everyone

01:21:18.480 would do it so she unfortunately has just tripped herself up now because she's 0.98

01:21:21.680 just closed a lot of doors I think maybe she thought she was gonna get some cred

01:21:25.220 here and that would open up some doors but she just closed an awful lot of doors 0.84

01:21:28.620 for her 100% she I hope she learns something from this and it's not the lesson

01:21:33.080 she thinks she did Dave Rubin what a pleasure thanks for being here again we

01:23:06.020 join me now another Florida man just like Dave Rubin is now US Congressman Byron

01:23:14.840 Donald who is supporting former President Donald Trump he's on the ground

01:23:18.780 right now in Iowa the final Trump event before the caucuses begin all right

01:23:23.780 representative Donald's you're a Florida man you must be freezing are you freezing

01:23:27.100 out there in Iowa right now oh yeah I'm cold it is the reason why I left New York

01:23:32.000 because my toes and my fingertips never did well with the cold weather feeling it

01:23:36.120 right now but I did make sure I packed my long johns so I got those on feeling okay but

01:23:41.100 you know just excited to be here in Iowa yeah it's a very cool environment I've been

01:23:45.440 out there for virtually every caucus since I've been in journalism and there's an

01:23:49.900 excitement in the air it's like you know democracy in action as they say so how

01:23:54.360 are you feeling about tonight um Trump's way ahead in the latest polling but you

01:23:58.040 know Iowa's known for producing sleeper winners so how are you feeling I feel good

01:24:04.740 you know I think for us it's really about turnout well our you know our voters get

01:24:08.880 out to the caucuses and do their job we believe that's going to occur because if you

01:24:13.320 look at any polling metrics that that that is out there the most motivated voters in

01:24:18.020 Iowa are Trump voters so we think that it's going to be a big night for the

01:24:20.840 president um look the biggest question is how big is the margin going to be in

01:24:25.380 my opinion I think it's going to be double digits and when that occurs I think

01:24:28.920 the nominating process in our party is going to pretty much be over after that

01:24:33.540 you know if Trump wins tonight by anything less than 30 points the mainstream media

01:24:39.340 tomorrow will say he's a loser he has no momentum shock second place finish by

01:24:45.540 whomever right they help drive it will that matter and do you expect that it 0.82

01:24:50.900 won't matter and I expect the media will do anything to try to you know belittle

01:24:55.240 what Donald Trump's going to accomplish here in Iowa but at the end of the day I

01:24:58.940 mean look at New Hampshire the polling is massively ahead you go to South Carolina

01:25:03.220 he's going to be massively ahead Florida my home state he's massively ahead there's

01:25:08.300 not a state in the country where it's even in single digits so I think that you

01:25:13.120 know he doesn't have to have this massive 40 50 point win to make a statement the

01:25:17.880 only real statement I think is does anybody even get close that's the only

01:25:22.560 statement that really matters and I don't think anybody's going to get close

01:25:25.340 you're going to see that in every state which is why Donald Trump is going to be

01:25:28.340 our nominee okay I've got to ask you about what's happening between Trump and

01:25:32.980 Vivek because at some point Vivek was going to have to switch from Trump's the

01:25:37.240 greatest Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump to Vivek how about Vivek and it seems to have

01:25:42.480 happened where he's he's changing the message to in order to save Trump you

01:25:48.460 have to vote for Vivek here's just a little bit of an interaction he had with

01:25:51.960 one Iowa voter that's going on social media take a look look at SOT 6

01:25:56.160 they are scared of Trump they are and they will stop at nothing but we're not

01:26:02.140 going to let him get away with it I've got fresh legs I'm not wounded they're not

01:26:05.760 going to let this man do it you know when you say eliminate that gave me a chill

01:26:10.920 because I'm scared because you think it's false because you think it's true I think

01:26:14.220 they will stop at nothing to stop them stop Trump it's sad but it's the truth they say

01:26:22.200 how do you feel about the United States and I say I'm worried and I'm fearful

01:26:27.240 my job that you don't have to feel that way in this country but we're losing it we're

01:26:34.200 losing it it pains me to hear that you want to save Trump you vote for me I'm

01:26:39.000 telling you that you have you vote for Trump you're sending him sledgehammer but

01:26:43.560 you're sending him to his own demise you're falling into the trap that not

01:26:47.280 only a country's falling in that he's falling you want to save Trump you vote

01:26:49.620 for me what do you make of that message Trump is wounded the party needs fresh

01:26:56.640 legs and if you want to save Donald Trump you need to vote for Vivek I just

01:27:02.340 don't agree with that I don't even understand that message you want to save

01:27:05.300 Donald Trump you vote for Donald Trump this makes no sense to me look I think

01:27:09.460 what he's trying to figure out is any way to build some momentum because he's

01:27:12.600 lost a lot in this race and trying to do that on the coattails or climbing up the

01:27:17.160 back of President Trump you know I mean that's one way to do it but I just

01:27:19.960 don't agree with that strategy is at all you don't save another candidate by

01:27:23.460 telling him to vote for you you say look this is what I'm about here's my

01:27:27.300 platform here's what I represent you want to be the new generation of

01:27:30.560 Republicans that's all fine well and good but you don't do that on the back

01:27:33.660 of President Trump I just don't agree with that strategy at all and look for

01:27:37.360 the voters in Iowa or any of anywhere else what's going to be determinative for

01:27:41.620 President Trump's success is you voting for Donald Trump period full stop

01:27:47.060 everything else is the the chicanery of politics the Trump campaign said

01:27:53.060 Vivek is a fake Trump said he's not MAGA uh Vivek's defenders say he is MAGA he's

01:27:59.700 just next generation he's he's America first next generation with the fresh legs 0.95

01:28:04.100 what do you think I think that's ridiculous the MAGA movement is built

01:28:09.120 around Donald Trump that's just what it is and I think as a step back when you

01:28:12.760 look at any political candidate uh or president that takes fire and really

01:28:16.940 takes hold in any political party what typically happens is other people come

01:28:21.820 along who try to recreate that coalition the Democrats have been trying to do

01:28:25.600 that with the Obama coalition they can't do it you have Republicans trying to do

01:28:30.600 that with President Trump they can't do it because that political movement is

01:28:35.820 centered around the individual I tell candidates all the time don't try to be

01:28:39.920 Donald Trump be yourself you can be America first you can support the

01:28:43.840 Constitution you can do all those things but you cannot be Donald Trump he's one

01:28:48.360 of one be who you are and if voters choose to follow that and they choose you then

01:28:53.300 that's a great thing and if they don't choose to follow you well guess what

01:28:56.920 there's a bunch of people that lose the political races it happens all the time

01:29:00.280 mm-hmm well a Republican Party is gonna have some soul-searching to do let's say

01:29:05.760 Trump wins and serves a second term and then exits because he's term limited on

01:29:09.860 what the next generation of America first looks like at some point if they want to 0.89

01:29:13.420 keep it rolling they are gonna have to think about successors and other people

01:29:16.440 who have the same ideas I think Vivek's got his hand up you know high for to be

01:29:20.300 considered we'll see see whether that works all right let's switch over to the

01:29:23.440 Democratic side because there was some interesting news for them and this is

01:29:27.480 relevant to what's happening tonight in in Iowa Joe Biden now with his lowest

01:29:32.480 approval rating ever and the lowest in 15 years of presidential polls just to

01:29:39.420 give you some of the numbers only 31 percent of women now approve of the job 0.86

01:29:42.880 he's doing he won 57 percent of women in 2020 my god that kind of a fall is 1.00

01:29:49.480 severe he has 41 percent support among college graduates that's a 10-point dip

01:29:56.480 21 points below his average with black people 15 points below his average with 1.00

01:30:03.320 Hispanic voters six points below his average with white people we could keep 1.00

01:30:07.880 going these are this is a hemorrhage and I do wonder you know do you think any one

01:30:15.620 of these Republicans would put an end to the Biden presidency I know you want

01:30:19.860 President Trump but given these numbers like do you think any Republican could

01:30:24.360 take him out well I do believe any Republican can take him out because he's

01:30:29.160 awful this is the worst president we've seen in the modern era I call him the

01:30:32.860 master of disaster for a reason because everything has gone wrong Megan I mean

01:30:37.140 everything pick an issue it's been bad for the United States of America but it's

01:30:41.620 bigger than that it's also the fact that he does not look like he's physically

01:30:45.780 capable of doing this job the White House has hid him from the American people for

01:30:51.340 most of his presidency already he doesn't talk to the press but look on Capitol

01:30:55.960 Hill we're having this argument about spending and what should we do to try to

01:30:59.700 secure the border my argument to Republican colleagues is you want to force an

01:31:03.980 argument that makes Joe Biden go to the microphones because he cannot command the

01:31:09.040 bully pulpit so of course his numbers are going to stink with the American people

01:31:12.700 because he's been a terrible president and he can't even make an argument for

01:31:16.600 why the American people should support him I think he's going to lose to Donald

01:31:21.760 Trump but to your question I think he lose to any Republican the problem for

01:31:26.500 Nikki Haley Ron DeSantis of Vivek Ramaswamy is that Republican voters

01:31:30.580 overwhelmingly want Donald Trump back in the White House my god the video of

01:31:36.260 President Biden out of I guess it's Emmaus Pennsylvania from Friday he was

01:31:42.620 being introduced to employees of I've heard that it's a bike shop look at this

01:31:46.900 look at this the poor gentleman has to stop him from going forward you can see he

01:31:52.400 doesn't know I mean we've all seen this with our elderly relatives where you kind

01:31:57.080 of need to manhandle them I mean they think he they're telling us he can do five

01:32:00.720 more years do you believe it no and nobody does and I think especially when

01:32:06.960 you look at what's happening black voters they see this thing you have

01:32:09.980 Charlemagne the God on the breakfast club basically saying to the people on his

01:32:13.720 show he's too old and everybody knows it and it's even not so much about his age

01:32:17.600 because people try to throw the age in that's not it it's his mental capacity

01:32:22.140 and acuity you can't have a president look lost in a bike shop what does that say

01:32:28.040 to to Xi Jinping or to Vladimir Putin or to rocket man himself in North Korea or

01:32:33.960 to the mullahs in Iran what does it say to our allies this is terrible and to watch

01:32:39.400 my Democrat colleagues have to defend this they know this the same thing that all

01:32:43.860 Americans can see on the black vote he's doing Joe Biden they say it's a stark

01:32:49.900 difference between those who are over 50 50 and up approve of Joe Biden 65 percent

01:32:55.900 those who are younger than 50 only giving him a 32 percent approval rating that is

01:33:01.760 not helpful in the Democratic Party where they really need black voters to come 0.96

01:33:06.080 out overwhelmingly for them while we're on the subject of race Fannie Willis who's

01:33:10.900 trying to take down Donald Trump in Georgia she's his DA his prosecutor down

01:33:14.580 there is in a whole heap of trouble because she allegedly had an affair with her

01:33:18.000 special prosecutor she brought in and then on his dime or you know with in part his

01:33:22.840 dime traveled the world she was going to Jamaica she was going to Napa Valley and

01:33:28.700 so she the allegation is she has a financial incentive to keep this case 0.97

01:33:32.240 going and to keep the special prosecutor right there nice and close to her she 1.00

01:33:35.780 hasn't denied it it's been alleged in a legal pleading we'll see how it plays

01:33:38.740 out she took to the microphones over the weekend including yesterday and said in

01:33:43.120 part the following take a listen stop to you cannot expect black women to be 1.00

01:33:49.560 perfect and save the world the Lord is completing us we are not perfect we need

01:33:57.800 your prayers we need to be allowed to stumble we need grace

01:34:02.720 you're furrowing your brow why

01:34:07.880 man the Lord did not cause you to stumble into six hundred thousand dollars in

01:34:13.140 taxpayer money because you sleeping with the dude who's the lead prosecutor the

01:34:17.280 Lord didn't call you to do that Fannie you thought you were gonna get away and 1.00

01:34:21.440 so you try to get the church's money that's what happened here and you got

01:34:25.460 caught it's that simple and look is this case to this case be thrown out it

01:34:30.000 should because it is clear you have prosecutorial misconduct and listen Megan I

01:34:34.760 heard your your interview the other day talking about this where now he was

01:34:38.420 billing uh he billed the Fulton County DA's office for 24 hours of discovery

01:34:43.680 having meetings in Washington DC with the White House counsel I mean that's

01:34:47.880 ridiculous you know that everybody knows that but I got one other question now my

01:34:52.220 question is what does the White House counsel know when did they know it and 0.88

01:34:55.680 what does Joe Biden know and when did he know it because if they're meeting

01:34:59.260 with the White House counsel's office you can't tell me that they did not tell

01:35:03.460 the president what was going on it's smacks of coordination uh which they've

01:35:08.500 been denying that there's been so if if in fact they were coordinating with

01:35:12.700 Fannie Willis prosecution they have some answers to provide um I want to make it

01:35:17.640 real quick one thing one thing on Fannie Willis and I want to make sure I get

01:35:20.260 a lot of questions she is in a she's a long line of politicians who are trying

01:35:24.740 to essentially take advantage of Trump to build their name ID and she was also 0.91

01:35:29.760 trying to get money in the process don't go into a black church and say oh pray for 0.86

01:35:34.100 me you did wrong and you know you did wrong you're in violation of any lawyer's

01:35:39.180 ethics standards in any state in the country don't go to the church now asking for 0.72

01:35:43.620 prayer and forgiveness you know when they did it and you got caught she should be

01:35:47.320 removed she should be this far all right last uh last quick issue White House

01:35:52.880 protests on Saturday night I mean the the pro-Palestinian protesters it looked

01:35:56.860 very insurrection-y to me they one person was trying to scale the fence to get on

01:36:01.600 the White House grounds it was incredibly raucous here's a little bit of it in

01:36:04.860 SOT 13 shaking the gates New York Post reporting representative no arrests no

01:36:25.960 arrests were made think there's a double standard oh there's a huge but double

01:36:30.720 standard it's all politics look the reality is is that the the district

01:36:35.140 attorney the state attorney whatever they call them the U.S. attorney excuse me

01:36:38.480 in the D.C. district that guy only picks Republicans and MAGA supporters to

01:36:43.860 prosecute he doesn't want to prosecute Democrats he doesn't go after anybody in

01:36:47.880 D.C. that's committed a crime he lets them go but if you're a MAGA if you're a

01:36:51.460 Republican he tries to throw you under the jail this is why you have to actually

01:36:55.420 change the D.C. circuit enough's enough we've got to have real reforms at the

01:36:59.380 Department of Justice and you're never gonna get it out of Joe Biden in this

01:37:02.760 White House or any Democrat for that matter it's a massive double standard and

01:37:06.820 that's the type of thing that destroys our institutions more than anything all

01:37:11.740 right in 20 seconds or less what's gonna happen in Iowa tonight I think Trump's

01:37:17.440 gonna be plus 15 plus 17 not gonna be close representative Byron Donald's always
