00:00:30.980 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM Channel 111 every weekday at New East.
00:00:42.880 Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to this AM special episode of The Megyn Kelly Show.
00:00:48.560 The left and the media do not get it.
00:00:51.200 Why Trump was able to win in such spectacular and dominant fashion.
00:00:55.780 Winning the popular vote by millions and winning the Electoral College 312 to 226 total blowout.
00:01:03.680 So what is the reason?
00:01:05.000 Well, one reason is the subject of my guest's book,
00:01:08.680 Second Class, How the Elites Betrayed America's Working Men and Women.
00:01:14.320 Trust in the media is at an all-time low.
00:01:16.800 So can you blame them?
00:01:18.700 Let's be honest. There's very good reason for this.
00:01:20.880 We're all seeing how stories can be shaped or buried or killed or manipulated, depending on who's in charge.
00:01:26.820 And this is why I want to tell you about a platform that does not play by those rules.
00:01:30.540 One that prioritizes transparency above all else.
00:01:34.060 Listen to this.
00:01:34.580 The platform's called Ground News, an app and website that gathers related articles from around the world in one place,
00:01:41.880 highlighting each source's political bias and corporate influence.
00:01:45.140 And they show you stories that are underreported by one side of the political spectrum.
00:01:49.640 A recent Gallup survey showed declining trust in mass media.
00:01:53.140 And guess who didn't cover it?
00:01:54.800 Left-leaning media.
00:01:56.480 On Ground News, more than 80% of the coverage of this story is coming from right-leaning sources.
00:02:01.580 Ground News has an entire Blindspot feed with stories like this that are receiving lopsided coverage.
00:02:08.480 And my viewers get 50% off their Vantage plan, which gives you unlimited access to their website and to their app.
00:02:14.900 They're independent.
00:02:15.760 They are supported by subscribers, not corporate interests.
00:02:19.220 Check them out at groundnews.com slash Megan.
00:02:21.900 That's ground, G-R-O-U-N-D, news.com slash Megan to take back control of the news you consume.
00:02:29.460 Bhatia Anghar Sargan joins me now.
00:02:33.100 There was a piece in the New York Post today, and I totally agree with it, saying this is the death of the celebrity endorsement.
00:02:39.000 Oh, absolutely, Megan.
00:02:40.540 But I think it goes so much deeper than that.
00:02:43.200 You know, Wall Street favored Kamala Harris over Donald Trump by 75% to 25%.
00:02:49.540 It's not just the celebrities.
00:02:50.960 It's not just the rich glitterati from Hollywood.
00:02:54.060 It's the elites overall.
00:02:56.380 I mean, you just have to open a newspaper, turn on cable news to one of the liberal channels and to see the weeping, the funereal, you know, atmosphere there.
00:03:05.620 This was an election that revealed, finally, that the real divide in America is not racial.
00:03:12.640 It's not even political.
00:03:14.520 It is the class divide separating the American working class from the elites.
00:03:20.000 And this is why millions and millions and millions of working class Americans who were Democrats, Megan, 50 years ago, 30 years ago, five years ago, voted for Donald Trump, because the American working class is unbelievably tolerant.
00:03:37.140 They are deeply patriotic.
00:03:38.960 They are radical moderates.
00:03:41.340 And they are struggling.
00:03:43.500 That is who Donald Trump spoke to and ended up picking off a lot of Democratic voters because his agenda spoke directly to the character of the American working class.
00:03:54.100 But instead of trying to understand that, you get Stephen Colbert and the others out there going, well, this was bad for women.
00:04:01.320 It was bad for children.
00:04:02.060 It was bad for poor people.
00:04:03.620 And it was bad for you, Trump voters.
00:04:05.700 If only you weren't too stupid to know.
00:04:07.920 You're going to find out how bad this was for you.
00:04:10.960 Completely clueless.
00:04:12.440 And it's not surprising to see him struggling, Gutfeld soaring.
00:04:15.980 But not just Gutfeld.
00:04:17.180 Dave Portnoy weighed in.
00:04:18.800 And he's got this huge empire over at Barstool Sports.
00:04:21.200 And definitely, and he's, I think he comes from the left.
00:04:24.540 I don't think this is a Republican guy.
00:04:26.340 I mean, he was defending abortion rights.
00:04:28.060 Yeah, he comes from the left.
00:04:29.280 Listen to him.
00:04:31.340 Their pure arrogance and their moral superiority have driven people away.
00:04:36.700 If you say you're voting for Trump, suddenly you're a Nazi.
00:04:39.800 You're Hitler.
00:04:40.860 You're garbage.
00:04:42.280 Enough.
00:04:43.800 Enough.
00:04:44.900 Like, yeah, I'm sure there's racists in the party, just like there's fucking crazy people and assholes and racists in the country.
00:04:51.200 Democratic Party, all right?
00:04:53.440 But millions and millions and millions and millions of people vote for Trump.
00:04:57.860 He won clear.
00:04:58.860 He won decisive.
00:04:59.920 So when you call us that and when you say that, you're calling the majority of the country racists, Hitlers, Nazis.
00:05:06.160 I don't think you get the words of what that means.
00:05:08.360 You are alienating all this middle ground people by acting like you're better than us, smarter than us, and frankly, insulting our intelligence.
00:05:17.540 They're going to look themselves in the mirror.
00:05:19.000 This moral superiority complex they have, this arrogance they have, it's not working.
00:05:27.540 It's time to wake up and see that.
00:05:29.900 You're alienating half the country, more of it.
00:05:33.240 Wake up, move on.
00:05:35.720 Or keep losing.
00:05:38.520 But can they?
00:05:40.980 It's such a great question.
00:05:42.560 It's so funny.
00:05:43.400 Stephen Colbert actually uttered the words, today is the day the American people voted against democracy.
00:05:49.460 Like, literally cannot tell that he is describing democracy when saying what he really means is they voted against my interests as a millionaire.
00:06:00.880 That is what they really mean.
00:06:02.200 And it's so amazing they're admitting it, Megan.
00:06:04.300 Donald Trump said again and again, they don't hate me.
00:06:07.420 They hate you, the American people.
00:06:09.720 And now you have all of these leftists coming out and saying, you know, it's not about Trump.
00:06:14.500 It's about the American people, right?
00:06:16.160 They truly do hate the American people.
00:06:18.840 I do think that there is a real question of policy here at stake, though.
00:06:23.180 It's less about the fact that smearing people as Hitler lovers and racists is terrible politics.
00:06:27.980 Of course, that's true.
00:06:29.200 But I don't think that's why the majority of Hispanic men broke for Trump.
00:06:33.020 I think it has to do with the fact that Donald Trump lifted the Democrats' pro-labor agenda right out from under their noses.
00:06:42.720 You know, the Democrats used to support labor.
00:06:44.620 They used to support the working class.
00:06:46.240 And they used to believe in a strong border, you know, trade deals that favored American workers.
00:06:51.820 They were socially moderate, right?
00:06:53.600 Abortions should be safe, legal, and rare.
00:06:55.840 And they also believed in being anti-war.
00:06:59.240 Who does that sound like today?
00:07:00.680 That is not the Democrats' position today.
00:07:03.320 That is Donald Trump's agenda.
00:07:04.980 And that is why the reason Donald Trump won is the same reason that Kamala Harris lost.
00:07:11.220 Because there is a winning formula for the American working class.
00:07:15.360 Anti-war.
00:07:16.600 Free trade only to the extent that it helps the American worker.
00:07:19.960 Strong borders and socially moderate positions.
00:07:23.040 That used to be the Democrats' agenda.
00:07:25.160 And now it is Trump's.
00:07:26.340 And I am just begging the GOP to recognize this because if they don't, they're going to lose all of these voters when this comes up again.
00:07:34.660 It's amazing.
00:07:35.700 Yeah, Democrats.
00:07:36.460 It's amazing to see the amount of tears flowing like Jimmy Kimmel in tears on his show over like half of the country voting and getting what they want.
00:07:48.600 Just not his half.
00:07:49.580 That's why he's crying.
00:07:51.200 He's crying for himself.
00:07:52.380 He doesn't have the power.
00:07:53.180 He thought he did.
00:07:54.300 He's not alone.
00:07:55.540 It's women like this that make me want to celebrate the tears, that make me have absolutely no sympathy or empathy for these tears.
00:08:04.040 This is Dr.
00:08:05.580 I think I'm using that term loosely.
00:08:08.000 Arlene.
00:08:08.880 And she decided to do a little post on X that's now gone viral.
00:08:14.320 It was, I think, the day of the vote.
00:08:15.840 And she had a little interaction with a sales clerk and she decided to post about it.
00:08:22.020 Watch this woman.
00:08:22.700 She's a political science professor, she says.
00:08:25.700 And tracking everything that's been going on across the country today.
00:08:29.060 And my most important encounter was when I went out to get my champagne.
00:08:38.440 I was talking to the guy in the store, of course, asking him, did he vote?
00:08:43.420 And he said he did early voting.
00:08:45.020 And he asked me if I early voted.
00:08:47.260 And he asked me, you know, why I was getting the champagne.
00:08:53.140 And I said, because I'm going to be toasting Madam President tonight.
00:08:57.040 And he just looked at me with kind of like a smirk on his face.
00:09:00.640 And I said, you know, she's going to win this, right?
00:09:03.840 And he says, oh, well, it's very, very close.
00:09:05.860 And I said, no, it's not.
00:09:07.860 He says, well, what do you mean?
00:09:08.920 I said, no, it's not.
00:09:10.040 The women of America are making their voices heard.
00:09:14.400 Reproductive rights is what it all comes down to.
00:09:16.960 And I said to him, she's going to take every one of the swing states plus Iowa.
00:09:21.720 And he said, oh, but the numbers are so close.
00:09:24.100 I said, I'm a political analyst.
00:09:25.920 I'm telling you right now, the numbers are there.
00:09:28.480 She's taking this election.
00:09:30.380 And I said to him, you realize, and he didn't tell me who he voted for, but of course I knew.
00:09:35.820 And I said, you do realize you wasted your vote, right?
00:09:40.040 And I didn't care.
00:09:43.260 And I walked out with my bottle of champagne and happily walked home.
00:09:50.080 Bye-bye.
00:09:54.600 Dr. Arlene, you can take your champagne and shove it up your, yeah, because your snobbery,
00:10:03.060 your absolute elitism is on.
00:10:05.760 I'm a political analyst, you dumbass sales clerk.
00:10:09.260 You wasted your vote.
00:10:11.600 And now we just checked her feed to see after the election.
00:10:15.020 It was never about them or their supreme qualifications.
00:10:17.860 It was about misogyny, racism, hate, and fascism.
00:10:22.860 Of course.
00:10:23.080 Oh, we have that?
00:10:23.820 Oh, here she is.
00:10:24.560 More of Dr. Arlene.
00:10:25.420 It is an incredibly sad day.
00:10:29.340 Heartbreaking.
00:10:31.300 Arlene, buck up.
00:10:33.680 And when I look back at my entire analysis of this, all of the analysis, 120 years worth
00:10:41.220 of elections is based on men running for office, not women.
00:10:44.940 Oh, nice.
00:10:45.920 Because there's no data.
00:10:46.780 And Hillary Clinton was, everybody hated Hillary Clinton, that America is not ready for a female
00:10:54.500 president.
00:10:55.960 And that's it.
00:10:57.960 Not anytime soon.
00:10:59.220 It will be decades from now.
00:11:00.620 And that's a damn shame.
00:11:03.300 Because Kamala Harris was the best candidate in this race.
00:11:06.840 And she was the best for America.
00:11:09.340 The odds of Arlene having gone back to the sales clerk and apologized for her disgusting
00:11:16.160 arrogance are very slim, Bhatia.
00:11:19.580 That first click really had it all.
00:11:22.360 You know, the credentialism that inflated the ego of this very tiny person.
00:11:27.720 This is a woman, if she's a college professor who's probably making $150,000 a year, sneering
00:11:33.520 at and talking down to a person working in a store, a clerk, right, who has the grace not
00:11:41.220 to inform her who he voted for, because he doesn't need to stick it to her, right?
00:11:45.280 So here's a working class person showing all of the grace in the world to this condescending,
00:11:51.800 sneering elitist who then uses the lens of racism and misogyny as an alibi for the fact
00:12:02.720 that not only did this person not just accept her sneering contempt as marching orders for who
00:12:09.860 to vote for, right, but the fact that he refused to vote for the person who is going to create a world
00:12:16.780 that is good for her bottom line.
00:12:19.380 This is the point that I just want to keep making, which is the elites created an economy that made
00:12:25.060 Dr. Arlene rich.
00:12:26.760 And that nice guy who just took it from her is now struggling to pay his bills.
00:12:33.460 And that is really what Donald Trump is a corrective to.
00:12:37.820 It was like Sonny Hostin yesterday on The View.
00:12:41.220 I go, I'm very worried.
00:12:42.280 I'm worried about my daughter.
00:12:43.720 She has less civil rights than I have.
00:12:45.480 Fewer should have been.
00:12:47.360 She doesn't have the same civil rights as I do.
00:12:49.160 And I'm deeply worried about my daughter.
00:12:50.540 Meanwhile, Sonny Hostin lives in a sprawling multi-million dollar estate because she's Sonny
00:12:57.040 Hostin.
00:12:57.800 At least her son got into Harvard.
00:12:59.760 I'm sure her daughter's probably there too.
00:13:01.600 She herself went to Notre Dame.
00:13:03.600 She's lived a privileged life.
00:13:06.200 And still, not unlike Michelle Obama or Oprah, what she wants to do is just dump on America.
00:13:14.000 That this is a place where you don't get equal civil rights because of race, because of gender,
00:13:19.560 if I don't get what I want.
00:13:23.560 Right.
00:13:24.240 That's exactly right.
00:13:25.440 They use accusations of racism and sexism as an alibi for a country that has been crafted
00:13:34.320 as an upward funnel of wealth into the pockets of people like Sonny Hostin away from the people
00:13:40.580 that she employs, right?
00:13:42.020 That's what the open border is.
00:13:43.520 It is a way for credentialed elites to get rich off of the labor of illegals because they
00:13:50.560 don't have to employ American workers.
00:13:53.160 And if American workers objected to that, as they did in 2016 by voting for Donald Trump,
00:13:57.700 they called them deplorables and racists.
00:14:00.140 And this time around, they called them Nazis.
00:14:02.200 It is an alibi for wage theft by the elites of the working class.
00:14:08.560 And that is what Donald Trump is a corrective to.
00:14:11.240 It's why he has cobbled together a mass populist movement, the multiracial working class coalition
00:14:18.780 that now is the popular vote.
00:14:21.340 It's the most incredible, incredible thing.
00:14:24.280 What a victory for democracy, for the will of the people, for the working class.
00:14:28.100 So they can't quite get their arms around the fact that his coalition is diverse, that it's multi-ethnic.
00:14:35.180 And this is Joy Reid in her struggle session to try to explain why he got 45 percent of Latinos on Tuesday night.
00:14:44.840 Sod 8.
00:14:45.180 Coming from an immigrant family, there is this sort of trying to be super American when people come here.
00:14:53.560 Because I know some African immigrants who are all the way Trump.
00:14:58.240 And it's this idea of I want to be with the side that's waving the biggest flag.
00:15:02.620 I want to fit in.
00:15:03.820 And there is a huge element, to be honest, of anti-Blackness in a lot of this.
00:15:09.600 Anti-Black-American-ness specifically.
00:15:11.540 And there's this idea that I'm Black, but I'm not Black.
00:15:14.780 I may look Black to you.
00:15:16.460 I may be Black if I'm walking through Bloomingdale's and get followed around.
00:15:19.520 But in my mind, I'm identifying with whiteness.
00:15:22.360 Because whiteness means privilege.
00:15:24.220 And it means not being a Black American.
00:15:26.320 This has to be unpacked.
00:15:27.840 Because this shift among Latino men is significant.
00:15:31.540 And it says something about where we're going in this country.
00:15:35.280 Got it.
00:15:36.500 Latinos are anti-Black.
00:15:38.720 They want to be White.
00:15:40.140 That's why they voted for Trump.
00:15:42.540 My friend Zed Jelani said on Twitter, why is it that these leftists always sound like
00:15:47.540 rival Lebanese militia groups, you know?
00:15:50.320 This one's the real evil one, you know?
00:15:52.600 This ethnicity is the one we should be attacking.
00:15:55.200 It's so insane.
00:15:56.960 You have to really hate America to talk that way.
00:15:59.840 I mean, and that is what she's effectively saying, is that to love America, to be an immigrant
00:16:04.180 who comes here and wants this country to be the best it can possibly be, that that is
00:16:08.460 somehow evil and racist.
00:16:10.120 No, it is evil and racist to say that minorities have to vote a specific way.
00:16:14.920 The reason Latinos broke for Trump is because he creates an amazing economy that lifts up
00:16:21.000 the bottom.
00:16:21.640 It is literally a wave that elevates the working class.
00:16:24.620 If you're tired of the same old coffee from the big mega corporations pushing their woke
00:16:29.020 agendas, listen up.
00:16:30.440 It's time to take a stand and support a brand that truly embodies American values, Blackout
00:16:34.600 Coffee.
00:16:35.360 They stand with hardworking Americans who believe in family, faith, and freedom.

00:16:49.820 new ready-to-drink cold blue brew coffee latte options.
00:16:53.500 Don't settle for less.

00:18:41.540 Another loser in this election is Joe Scarborough.
00:18:50.680 Joe Scarborough has to be high up the list on the list of losers in addition to Kamala Harris.
00:18:56.640 He backed Joe Biden.
00:18:58.700 He lied to us.
00:18:59.860 He was conspirator number one on the Joe Biden lies about his mental acuity up to the very
00:19:06.200 last second because he wanted to hold on to his access to power.
00:19:09.720 It was so fun to be president, the president's friend.
00:19:13.300 And then the switcheroo happened.
00:19:16.300 The American public saw what happened at that debate.
00:19:18.500 And then the next day, Sybil showed up on the set of Morning Joe saying,
00:19:23.420 he's got to go to save the party.
00:19:25.960 Yeah, it's obvious.
00:19:26.920 Hello, right?
00:19:28.460 Anyway, then swoops in Kamala Harris.
00:19:31.880 And now she's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
00:19:33.980 Yes, we've got to get behind Kamala Harris 100 percent.
00:19:36.360 We've got to go for Kamala.
00:19:37.720 And, you know, she's going to deliver.
00:19:39.660 She's going to continue Joe Biden's great economy.
00:19:42.700 He's been the greatest president ever.
00:19:44.660 Trust me, you people, you working class suffering people.
00:19:47.280 I know better.
00:19:48.140 This is a great economy.
00:19:49.620 Trust me, inflation doesn't matter.
00:19:51.560 This is a great thing.
00:19:52.600 You're it's roaring reelect.
00:19:55.500 Then he loses or she loses.
00:19:57.600 And he comes out and says, I've been telling you all along that, you know,
00:20:00.940 this social stuff that you're putting the country through is a loser.
00:20:03.440 That she she was going to lose because of the social like what?
00:20:07.820 He's truly Sybil and therefore a loser.
00:20:12.600 However, I've got to show you this.
00:20:15.820 There was a big reveal today that Joe Scarborough does not know anything about the economy.
00:20:23.560 He's been telling us is so amazing under Biden Harris because he is one of those elites who has absolutely fallen out of touch with how real Americans live.
00:20:35.440 It was shown in the following exchange over something as simple as the cost of butter on their show today.
00:20:40.740 I want to talk about economy for a second.
00:20:44.260 A few weeks ago, three weeks ago, somebody who was going to be voting for Kamala Harris came up to me and said, oh, my God, Trump's going to win.
00:20:53.920 I go, why is that?
00:20:54.660 He goes, I just I went to the grocery store.
00:20:57.260 Butter's over three dollars.
00:20:58.560 I kind of laughed and I said, I said, well, that's kind of reductive, isn't it?
00:21:03.940 Said it to myself to him.
00:21:05.360 I smiled and I said, good point.
00:21:07.840 But it actually what everything we're hearing after the election is.
00:21:13.180 I'm just saying the seven.
00:21:15.100 What's that?
00:21:16.600 The seven dollars.
00:21:17.540 What's that?
00:21:18.620 Butter is seven dollars.
00:21:19.980 He says, does it have a gold frame around it?
00:21:24.620 He has no idea.
00:21:26.100 When was the last time Joe Scarborough went to the grocery store?
00:21:29.360 I mean, I probably never.
00:21:31.660 I go to the grocery store.
00:21:33.020 I'm there all the time.
00:21:33.960 I see a lot of the listeners of my show at my one in Connecticut and we laugh and we bond and all that.
00:21:38.120 If you if you're in Connecticut, check me out.
00:21:40.380 Anyway, but the point is, he's one of the biggest losers of this election.
00:21:44.560 And it's because he falls into that same exact category we've been discussing, like Stephen Colbert
00:21:48.660 and Dr. Arlene and the rest of them.
00:21:51.600 It's so amazing because it was such a revealing moment.
00:21:54.180 But there have been moments in between moments like that, even on Morning Joe, where they have
00:21:59.660 admitted the truth.
00:22:00.880 So there was a big screed by Joe Scarborough about how cancel culture is unacceptable.
00:22:05.640 Did you know, Megan, that they have been canceling people and how terrible is this?
00:22:10.540 And there was a guest who was saying, you know, actually, like millions of low wage immigrants
00:22:15.300 crossing the border illegally is bad for the working class.
00:22:17.480 We are officially in the four week period that follows from crushing Democratic loss in
00:22:24.520 which you're allowed to say the things they always do this.
00:22:27.280 They did this in 2016 as well.
00:22:28.860 There was like four weeks where you were allowed to say the things, the truth that everybody
00:22:34.300 knows.
00:22:35.080 And it happened as well after Glenn Youngkin won in this like crushing loss to the Democrats
00:22:39.900 where suddenly they say the things that everybody knows is true.
00:22:43.780 And then after four weeks, they go back to denial and they go back to blaming racism and sexism
00:22:48.520 and everyone climbs for power again.
00:22:49.900 But that's how you know that they know that they are lying because there is always this
00:22:54.600 little window where the things are allowed to be said.
00:22:57.780 And it is.
00:22:58.520 It's always four weeks, just like with Biden's mental acuity.
00:23:01.020 We had four weeks of an honest press corps genuinely reporting on it.
00:23:05.000 And then they managed to get him out.
00:23:06.160 And they went right back to being just as dishonest as ever.
00:23:08.280 So that's why, like I had peers on earlier, Morgan, and he was saying this is officially
00:23:12.960 the death of the woke mind virus.
00:23:14.620 And I was saying, well, is it?
00:23:16.280 I mean, it's suffered a terrible defeat.
00:23:18.280 I mean, the American electorate has said we hate it.
00:23:21.020 We're not on board with it.
00:23:22.600 But I don't know that it's extractable.
00:23:25.260 Just like RFKJ's brain worm, he says he got.
00:23:29.060 I don't know if you can get it out.
00:23:31.360 I like I think you're right.
00:23:33.560 They learned all these lessons back in 16 that we were getting more woke.
00:23:40.040 I asked Trump about his language about women at a very famous presidential debate, and he
00:23:44.860 said we've gotten too politically correct.
00:23:47.100 That's what we used to call this.
00:23:48.600 And then political correctness exploded into wokeness.
00:23:51.860 People knew that he was a backlash to it.
00:23:55.620 I don't think they are going to change anything.
00:23:58.300 The thing that they have to change if they ever want to win again is immigration policy.
00:24:04.920 Now, remember, it used to be the Democrats who believed that we had to have a strong border
00:24:08.680 to protect the wages of working class people because labor is like everything else.
00:24:12.880 It adheres to the law of supply and demand.
00:24:15.000 The more you have of it, the cheaper it is.
00:24:17.300 And we should want American workers to make a living wage.
00:24:20.180 That was the economy that Donald Trump built.
00:24:22.200 When Donald Trump showed up on the scene and closed that border and working class wages
00:24:26.800 started to go up, the Democratic Party reformulated itself in opposition to him.
00:24:33.420 And the major donors of the party, people like George Soros, who don't believe in borders
00:24:38.000 and don't believe in nation states, they really turbocharged that.
00:24:41.920 So there was this kind of symbiotic relationship between the far left, the wokes, and then the
00:24:48.000 donor class, which were all pushing for open borders.
00:24:51.560 And of course, Alejandro Mayorkas showed up and said, I'm the man for that job, right?
00:24:56.800 Totally opened the border, right?
00:24:58.360 So did someone call me?
00:24:59.820 Exactly, exactly.
00:25:01.120 And so here is the question.
00:25:03.060 I think that on the woke excesses in universities, it is possible that we will start to see some
00:25:09.040 sort of course correction.
00:25:10.660 I think on the gender stuff, thanks to your work, Megan, which has been so important, I
00:25:15.840 think we're already going to start seeing some correction.
00:25:19.620 The real, real question is on immigration.
00:25:22.500 Can they go back to their position on immigration from the 90s and the 2000s?
00:25:28.000 You know, Bernie Sanders, as recently as 2015, was saying open borders is a Koch brothers
00:25:32.120 proposal.
00:25:32.720 And I think that is where they will not be able to go back to their former self because
00:25:37.800 the donor party is the donor class is too entrenched.
00:25:41.020 I think what we're going to see in 2028 is this.
00:25:43.440 We're going to see people like Gretchen Whitmer, who represents the Kamala Harris version of the
00:25:48.640 party in a primary against somebody like Josh Shapiro, who Megan only lost the white working
00:25:54.620 class in Pennsylvania by two points.
00:25:57.380 So he is really a Democrat who has shown the working class that he can speak to them and
00:26:02.060 like them.
00:26:03.060 That's going to be the really interesting interstitial fight to watch on the Democratic
00:26:07.220 side and to see which way the DNC allows the party to go.
00:26:12.080 One direction obviously is going to be much more fruitful for them, but I don't know if they
00:26:15.860 have the stomach to go with the white Jewish guy over the woman.
00:26:20.140 That's right.
00:26:20.780 Speaking of Bernie Sanders, he put out the following statement, reads in part as follows.
00:26:24.700 It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party, which has abandoned working
00:26:29.260 class people, would find that the working class has abandoned them.
00:26:33.500 First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and black workers as well.
00:26:38.000 While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and
00:26:43.120 want change and they're right.
00:26:45.860 Wow.
00:26:46.820 I mean, that that could have been issued by a Trump surrogate.
00:26:50.460 Yeah, my question to Bernie is in 2015, you understood that the number one issue when
00:26:55.980 it comes to the economy for working class people is immigration.
00:26:59.980 And by 2019, when you were running in that primary against Donald Trump and the question
00:27:05.380 on the debate was, would you decriminalize illegal border crossing?
00:27:08.920 You raised your hand to say yes.
00:27:10.960 What changed for you?
00:27:12.540 And do you regret that?
00:27:13.840 Do you understand that the workers that you so deeply care about, and I believe you that
00:27:19.040 you care about them, that this issue is very important to them and that this is where the
00:27:23.440 Democratic Party really needs to go?
00:27:25.040 He was just doing back.
00:27:26.360 He was doing what he said Kamala Harris is doing in this race.
00:27:28.980 You know, he acknowledged that she's just got to say what she has to say to get elected.
00:27:32.480 And he's a politician, too.
00:27:33.660 I think he has a genuine concern for blue class, blue collar, working class people.
00:27:38.640 But he on that stage had to say what he thought they wanted to hear.
00:27:42.580 I want to shift gears and talk to you about Kamala, because I mean, I really love how obviously
00:27:47.920 her team is out there leaking to Politico that it's all the fault of Joe Biden, that he really
00:27:52.460 caused this collapse.
00:27:53.380 How could she possibly have dug out of this hole, as David Plouffe put it?
00:27:58.000 And I said earlier, you know, sure.
00:28:00.220 Yeah.
00:28:00.740 Joe Biden caused many holes with the inflation numbers, with the immigration and the open
00:28:06.640 border.
00:28:07.080 She was part of it.
00:28:08.320 And then with staying too long with the mental acuity, she was part of that, too.
00:28:12.300 She is not blameless on any of that.
00:28:13.640 But Kamala Harris was a uniquely bad politician.
00:28:18.820 There's just absolutely nothing to connect to with this woman.
00:28:21.560 But not if you ask Claire McCaskill.
00:28:24.360 Now, I'm going to play you this soundbite.
00:28:26.520 This person is in la-la land about Kamala Harris's alleged talents.
00:28:32.160 But take a listen to yet another crier, Claire McCaskill.
00:28:36.740 I'm so proud.
00:28:39.420 I'm so proud of her.
00:28:40.680 Um, I don't think people realize how hard it is to get to where she was.
00:28:47.500 For her to be selected as vice president after what I think she would tell you was a very
00:28:54.700 disappointing presidential race, where I think she kind of lost her footing and was listening
00:29:00.100 too much to consultants, frankly, and wasn't, it didn't really exude who she was.
00:29:07.480 And then to be vice president and to step into the most difficult situation in the world,
00:29:16.120 where she had to be completely loyal to Joe Biden and respectful of the fact that he had chosen her,
00:29:22.540 but yet maneuver in a situation, I mean, such political skill.
00:29:27.800 It is just inspiring people who don't understand what she had to do to get to this moment.
00:29:36.620 And so I'm just very proud of her.
00:29:39.560 I mean, she was treated like female Jesus.
00:29:50.580 Like she's making it sound like poor Kamala Harris.
00:29:54.440 All his problems were her problems too.
00:29:57.140 She was part of the administration.
00:29:58.260 And then when the coup happened, Batia, she was anointed.
00:30:03.280 That Democratic National Convention, Brett Sommer, a completely compliant, complicit media
00:30:10.620 covering for her at every turn.
00:30:13.460 Oh, boo-hoo, poor Kamala Harris.
00:30:15.520 Are you kidding me?
00:30:18.900 Megan, I sort of made this vow to myself after Trump won that I was going to try to be
00:30:24.000 big and generous and, you know, not gloat.
00:30:27.500 And you're making it very hard because you brought all of the horrible videos into the video.
00:30:33.480 And it's impossible not to feel like so vindicated from this nonsense.
00:30:38.060 These people who had so much power.
00:30:40.980 Here's my latest theory about Harris.
00:30:42.880 I'm curious what you think about this, Megan.
00:30:44.620 I have this theory that if she had come out the gate and said,
00:30:48.580 look, I'm not an ideological person.
00:30:51.100 I don't believe in anything very strongly.
00:30:54.140 I want to be president and I want to reflect what you guys want.
00:30:57.440 So on each issue, we're going to poll the American people.
00:31:00.160 Whatever gets 60% support, I'm going to do.
00:31:02.360 Because honestly, I don't really care.
00:31:04.160 I've been all over the place.
00:31:05.540 I think she would have gotten a lot farther because it would have been honest and authentic
00:31:09.220 to who she is.
00:31:10.480 But instead, she went into it pretending to have these very deep-seated convictions that
00:31:16.760 everybody knows she doesn't have because she ran for office in 2019 on the opposite platform.
00:31:24.140 You know, Andrew Yang wrote this great op-ed for Newsweek.
00:31:26.600 He said something so smart.
00:31:28.360 He said in every interview, she looked like she was thinking,
00:31:32.640 what should I say instead of what do I believe?
00:31:36.420 And I think that that just put his finger on the, he hit the nail on the head.
00:31:42.060 That was the problem with her is she seemed to be always calculating what is the thing
00:31:46.980 to say to get elected.
00:31:48.340 And it was such a stark contrast with Donald Trump, who obviously says what he believes
00:31:54.520 all the time.
00:31:55.760 I mean, Megan, remember that rally in the Bronx?
00:31:58.240 He was so authentic, facing a sea of people who everybody had told him hate him, who,
00:32:05.520 by the way, he swung the Bronx 22 points.
00:32:09.600 Like Republicans, show up, show up, love the people, love the American people.
00:32:17.020 They will love you back.
00:32:18.760 So well said that I love the Andrew Yang line.
00:32:22.620 He's 100 percent right.
00:32:23.760 And when you're saying it, it reminded me of this moment we showed the audience when it
00:32:27.700 happened after she went on Colbert.
00:32:30.300 And she seemed to glitch like right in the middle of the answer, probably for this reason.
00:32:36.140 Here it is.
00:32:37.700 Polling shows that a lot of people, especially independent voters, really want this to be
00:32:42.920 a change election and that they tend to break for you in terms of thinking about change.
00:32:48.360 You are a member of the president administration.
00:32:51.260 Under a Harris administration, what would the major changes be?
00:32:56.380 And what would stay the same?
00:32:58.540 Sure.
00:32:58.920 Well, I mean, I'm obviously not Joe Biden.
00:33:01.660 I noticed.
00:33:01.960 And so that would be one change in terms of.
00:33:05.920 But also, I think it's important to say with, you know, 28 days to go, I'm not Donald Trump.
00:33:12.040 And so when we think about the significance of what this next generation of leadership looks
00:33:19.380 like, were I to be elected president, it is about, frankly, I love the American people.
00:33:27.180 And I believe in our country.
00:33:29.840 I love that it is our character and nature to be an ambitious people.
00:33:36.180 You know, we have aspirations.
00:33:38.960 We have dreams.
00:33:40.140 We are.
00:33:40.580 I can't.
00:33:40.960 We have incredible work ethic.
00:33:43.860 And I just believe that we can create and build upon the success we've achieved in a
00:33:50.840 way that we continue to grow opportunity and in that way grow the strength of our nation.
00:33:55.840 Is it over?
00:34:01.900 Oh, God.
00:34:04.160 Someone tweeted last week that she seems like a fourth grader giving a book report on a book
00:34:09.160 that they didn't read.
00:34:10.460 And I think that there's something about that.
00:34:12.320 That's really.
00:34:13.160 You can see her glitching.
00:34:15.300 What major changes would you bring?
00:34:17.720 Well, I'm not.
00:34:18.520 I'm not Joe Biden.
00:34:20.240 And I'm not Donald Trump.
00:34:22.000 Oh, like she thought of.
00:34:22.780 Oh, I'm on a roll here.
00:34:24.000 Here I go.
00:34:24.420 I'm on a roll.
00:34:25.340 No, I'm neither man.
00:34:26.820 And so I really think.
00:34:28.240 And then it's the glitch.
00:34:29.220 Like, oh, what should I say?
00:34:31.000 What should I say?
00:34:31.600 Like, Andrea, I'm like, what should I say?
00:34:32.780 I don't know what I should say.
00:34:34.840 I don't know how I'm supposed to be different from Joe Biden.
00:34:37.660 Who am I?
00:34:38.940 And then insert nonsense lines that are pre-rehearsed that we've all heard 10,000 times.
00:34:45.720 Yeah.
00:34:46.220 Yeah.
00:34:46.920 And I think, you know, the issue that she ultimately settled on as her one issue was abortion.
00:34:53.540 And the way they went out, like, to try to convince women that this was going to be the issue was so amazing because, Megan, what they did was they talked about it in a totally fake way.
00:35:07.240 Like, they built it up into this made-up problem, right, that there's going to be a national abortion ban, which Trump promised repeatedly that he would veto.
00:35:18.120 And there's zero reason to suspect that he's lying about that he believes abortion should be legal for 12 weeks.
00:35:24.200 So he has no reason to lie about that.
00:35:26.300 So their one winning issue was totally fake and made up, whereas Trump was running on the disappearing American dream for working-class Americans, which is totally real.
00:35:38.120 So you had the Obamas go out there berating Black men and Hispanic men, show up for your women folk for this fake problem that allows rich women to feel like they are the true oppressed class in America, right, this made-up problem.
00:35:56.500 And what ended up happening was working-class women showed up for their husbands and their sons and said,
00:36:06.040 we're going to stand by you because this country has turned its back on you.
00:36:10.080 And I find that to be very moving.
00:36:12.120 Yes, me too.
00:36:14.480 Those are the women I was trying to reach when I spoke at the Trump rally.
00:36:18.540 Like, don't listen to this bullshit messaging about what's best for women and what's best for children and what's best for America.
00:36:26.820 You know, asking, like, how do you win when your son or your husband are losing?
00:36:33.320 This is a lie that is being peddled by political hacks on the other side.
00:36:38.020 Um, the, the Kamala Harris problem is so multifaceted.
00:36:42.620 I mean, like, there's, I can't really think of anything that's good about her and her candidacy.
00:36:47.300 I've said before, she has pretty hands.
00:36:49.640 That's something.
00:36:51.560 She's very good looking.
00:36:52.960 I can, we can admit that she's a good looking woman.
00:36:56.120 She's fine.
00:36:56.720 Yeah.
00:36:56.960 I just, you know, I'm just thinking about like things that I like, I look at her and I admire.
00:37:00.680 Like she has lovely hands.
00:37:02.120 Her night, night, night, she's got whatever.
00:37:03.820 Okay.
00:37:04.020 Um, she decided to go for the profundity yet again in her concession speech, which I mean, there are things I'm going to miss about her, Bhatia.
00:37:14.620 I'm going to miss her fake profundities.
00:37:17.720 I'm going to miss her accents.
00:37:20.880 I'm going to miss her preacher.
00:37:23.980 Joy cometh in the morning.
00:37:26.560 I'm going to miss that.
00:37:27.740 But she gave me one last parting gift.
00:37:30.180 Check it out.
00:37:30.700 There's an adage, an historian once called a law of history.
00:37:39.240 True of every society across the ages.
00:37:43.700 The adage is, only when it is dark enough, can you see the stars.
00:37:51.140 I know many people feel like we are entering a dark time.
00:37:58.880 But for the benefit of us all, I hope that is not the case.
00:38:04.180 But here's the thing.
00:38:05.360 America, if it is, let us fill the sky with the light of a brilliant, brilliant billion of stars.
00:38:14.920 The light, the light, the light of optimism, of faith, of truth, and service.
00:38:28.160 And there it is.
00:38:34.020 It's amazing.
00:38:34.880 She's so proud of herself.
00:38:36.100 Like, you can tell she's like, I've got something for you.
00:38:39.260 As someone once said, the sun rises in the east.
00:38:45.520 And later at night, we see the billions of stars.
00:38:54.500 Yeah, yeah.
00:38:55.500 And then they clap.
00:38:56.540 They're confused.
00:38:57.200 They're clapping because she seems to be done.
00:38:59.960 Pacha, come on.
00:39:00.660 Like, I love all the pretend games about how, like, tough economy and Joe Biden.
00:39:05.520 And to ignore the elephant in the room is to continue the dishonesty that we've been facing with this press.
00:39:13.140 Honestly, it really is something to admire, I think.
00:39:15.760 I feel like I know her less than I did before she ran for president.
00:39:20.100 Like, I know even less about what makes her tick, what makes her get up in the morning.
00:39:24.560 Why did she do this?
00:39:25.560 Why does she say that?
00:39:26.980 Why does she act like that?
00:39:28.340 Like, she has managed in some ways to shroud herself in even more mystery,
00:39:32.280 which I think is a really big accomplishment for somebody who spent, you know, 100 days trying to tell us who she is.
00:39:39.540 What do you think is going to happen to her now?
00:39:41.400 I asked Don Jr. this earlier.
00:39:42.980 Do you think that she is in any way the de facto leader of the Democrat Party?
00:39:51.400 No, I think people are going to run as far as they can from the Bidens and from Harris.
00:39:56.860 And the will to power in the Democratic Party runs so deep.
00:40:03.700 And I think right now she's going to, you know, these people who were forced to lie about her.
00:40:09.320 Something happens to your soul when you're forced to lie about something.
00:40:12.280 Of course, nobody forced them except themselves and their own will to, you know, ascend the power hierarchy.
00:40:17.500 Right.
00:40:18.020 But, you know, they are such a laughingstock now as a party.
00:40:21.740 Every person who lied on her behalf, that is going to sour very quickly, like we said, four weeks.
00:40:27.860 And then I think she's going to become somewhat untouchable in the party.
00:40:31.220 The Obamas, I think, have lost a lot of power.
00:40:34.680 You know, the Obamas and Pelosi really bet the farm that this was going to work, this coup.
00:40:39.700 And I think it's been so revealed how little they understand the American people,
00:40:44.520 how little they respect the American people,
00:40:46.740 how little they respect the democracy that they demagogue about.
00:40:50.320 They hate the American people because the American people hate them because they see them for what they are.
00:40:56.560 They see the contempt that these elites have for them.
00:41:00.300 And I think that that is what has been really revealed this election cycle.
00:41:04.440 There's no more grown up in the Democratic Party.
00:41:06.760 There's no leader.
00:41:08.360 There's no heir apparent.
00:41:09.760 It's like that show Party of Five.
00:41:11.440 The parents died.
00:41:12.220 Now the children are just running around.
00:41:13.580 There's nobody to watch them.
00:41:14.760 Like, who's going to watch them?
00:41:15.960 There's not even an identifiable Big Brother type to step in and sort of hold their hands and shepherd them along.
00:41:21.680 There's nobody.
00:41:22.740 I mean, maybe it's certainly not going to be Tampon Tim.
00:41:25.880 I mean, maybe Josh Shapiro.
00:41:28.300 I don't like who do they have?
00:41:30.100 I got nothing.
00:41:31.080 There wasn't even like a top surrogate.
00:41:33.240 All those stars have been embarrassed that those guys aren't it.
00:41:37.880 The Obamas, no.
00:41:39.080 And, you know, it's actually really interesting, Batya, a point that we didn't get to today is she's reportedly her campaign bankrupt.
00:41:47.040 She earned earned.
00:41:48.800 She was given a billion dollars by all these hopeful Democrats to run this campaign in the course of like a month or two.
00:41:57.200 And the reports are out today that she she's reportedly 20 million dollars in the hole.
00:42:01.180 They spent it all.
00:42:02.840 They were paying those celebrities to show up at her rallies and try to fill those arena arenas with enthusiastic fans.
00:42:14.360 And they spent so much.
00:42:16.480 They wound up with absolutely nothing, with fewer counties by far than Joe Biden won.
00:42:23.800 They have lost the Senate.
00:42:25.520 They have lost the White House.
00:42:26.920 And we'll find out whether they've lost any chance of taking the House.
00:42:30.340 I mean, worst investment ever.
00:42:34.860 So, I mean, back to our original point, I guess, like, keep doing the same thing.
00:42:39.080 If you want the same results, you could just keep flushing a billion dollars down the drain every two years and then four.
00:42:46.100 Or you could change and you can actually bend the knee on the issues that are most important to the American people, never mind Republicans.
00:42:53.920 Like you say, let's start with immigration.
00:42:55.820 Let's start with boys and girls sports.
00:42:59.620 Let's start with actually doing something about the drunken spending the Democrats did that still have prices too high.
00:43:07.940 That last one is going to be the trickiest to fix for President Trump.
00:43:12.660 So, anyway, your forecast on the next not four years but two and what's going to happen when Trump takes office.
00:43:19.400 Did these Democrats feel humbled enough by the message they received on Tuesday to try to work with him?
00:43:26.740 Or is it just once we're past the four weeks, back to norm?
00:43:30.900 I think politicians are going to want to work with him, especially on the issues that it's clear voters hate where they have ended up, where the Democrats have ended up on.
00:43:41.700 You touched on something that I think is the most underreported story of this election cycle, which is Paris outspent Trump by astronomical numbers.
00:43:52.360 Because Nikki Haley outspent Trump two to one in the Republican primary.
00:44:00.240 American democracy is so robust and healthy.
00:44:04.780 I mean, I remember thinking Citizens United was like the end, Megan.
00:44:09.840 Like, we're never going to have a free election again.
00:44:12.100 The will of the people is done.
00:44:14.040 I mean, how wrong I was.
00:44:16.000 It turns out you can spend a billion, 1.2 billion.
00:44:19.620 I think you're right.
00:44:20.240 She's 20 million in the hole, something like that, on an election and win spectacularly against somebody who's spending a fraction of that amount.
00:44:30.500 And lose spectacularly.
00:44:32.860 And lose spectacularly.
00:44:34.860 I mean, what an amazing, amazing thing to learn about our nation, that our systems work, our institutions work, and the will of the people comes out.
00:44:44.740 The will of the electorate is what happens, is who gets elected.
00:44:48.380 I really hope that even people who don't like Trump, who didn't want him to win, can recognize this for what it is.
00:44:55.380 It is a mandate to lead from your fellow Americans.
00:44:58.840 We should all be able to respect that and even admire it.
00:45:02.860 Mm-hmm.
00:45:03.920 Change is coming.
00:45:06.240 I absolutely believe that Trump and this Senate and hopefully the House, too, can get real change pushed through legislatively that could last long beyond the Trump administration.
00:45:16.680 But we do have to watch those House races.
00:45:18.800 It's not over and it's not comfortable.
00:45:22.000 Bacha, what a pleasure.
00:45:22.860 Great to see you.
00:45:24.160 Thank you so much, Megan.
00:45:25.180 God bless you.
00:45:26.640 Oh, you too, my friend.
00:45:27.680 Okay, we are back later today with Charlie Kirk.
00:45:32.080 I mean, is there anybody besides maybe Elon that did more to get Trump elected than Charlie did?
00:45:39.320 I just, like, what a debt of gratitude the nation owes him.
00:45:43.120 And we will also have Glenn Greenwald.
00:45:45.540 He's been on fire on X this week taking down these hack so-called journalists.
00:45:51.780 It's going to be fun.
00:45:52.500 See you then.
00:45:55.540 Thanks for listening to The Megyn Kelly Show.
00:45:57.740 No BS, no agenda, and no fear.
