The Megyn Kelly Show - Would-Be Trump Assassin's Iran Connection, and JD Vance vs. Dana Bash, with Eric Trump, Emily Jashinsky, and Eliana Johnson ｜ Ep. 889

00:00:00.520 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM channel 111 every weekday at New East.

00:00:11.980 Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show.

00:00:14.940 We are less than 24 hours removed now from yet another assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump's life.

00:00:21.640 And already the media vultures and far left are suggesting there's nothing to see here.

00:00:25.900 In reality, as you know, there's plenty and it's deeply disturbing.

00:00:30.000 From the serious concerns about efforts to protect Mr. Trump's life to the troubled life of a would-be assassin, that should have raised plenty of red flags.

00:00:39.060 Just a short time ago, suspect Ryan Ruth, again, we generally do not name shooters like this, but given that it is a presidential assassination attempt, we've chosen to do that just like we did at the last presidential assassination attempt.

00:00:55.040 He appeared in federal court, his hands and feet shackled.

00:01:00.500 Fox News reporting, he laughed and smiled his way through the appearance.

00:01:05.380 It's not on camera because this is federal court where they don't allow cameras.

00:01:08.200 We also now know that this man has had run-ins with the law, including back in 2002, when court records show he was convicted of possessing a weapon of mass destruction, said to have been a machine gun.

00:01:23.120 Ruth's social media is also filled with anti-Trump rhetoric.

00:01:26.960 He claims to have voted for Trump back in 2016, only to have then turned against him.

00:01:32.820 Since 2019, Ruth has exclusively donated to Democratic causes and candidates, and it also appears to have supported, for a time anyway, Mr. Trump's former rivals, Vivek Ramaswamy and Nikki Haley at one point.

00:01:47.400 In an April 2024 post directed at President Biden, Ruth said, quote, democracy is on the ballot and we cannot lose.

00:01:55.980 That, of course, echoes the same language from a President Biden post back in October 2023.

00:02:01.500 And so many comments, I mean, let's be honest, like this is a, we're showing on the board a Biden post reading democracy is on the ballot.

00:02:08.400 But this is their line against Trump, that democracy will end if Donald Trump wins again.

00:02:16.180 That's been as close as I can figure to a campaign slogan for Biden and for Harris.

00:02:22.860 That's what they want you to believe the stakes are, Hitler or normal America. 0.86

00:02:27.840 This guy, Ruth, appears to have been publicly supporting the Biden campaign, as evidenced by a bumper sticker spotted outside of his home in Hawaii.

00:02:36.300 And then there's the disturbing book he self-published called Ukraine's Unwinnable War.

00:02:43.140 In it, he issued a direct message to Iran.

00:02:47.040 You're free to assassinate Trump. 0.98

00:02:49.820 No one here in the U.S. seems to have the balls to put natural selection to work. 0.98

00:02:55.700 Earlier today, former President Trump spoke to Fox News and said of his would-be assassin, quote, 0.91

00:03:01.520 he believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris and he acted on it.

00:03:05.180 Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at when I am the one who is going to save the country.

00:03:11.140 And they are the ones that are destroying the country, both from the inside and out.

00:03:16.620 Joining me now for his first interview since the latest attempt on his father's life is President Trump's son, Eric Trump.

00:03:23.400 He is executive vice president of the Trump Organization.

00:03:27.140 Cyber attacks are on the rise with corporate megastores falling victim to data breaches that could expose your private information.

00:03:33.960 Now, these same megastores are lobbying D.C. politicians to pass the Durbin-Marshall credit card bill.

00:03:41.200 According to our sponsor, Electronic Payments Coalition, this bill could leave you even more vulnerable to credit card cyber attacks,

00:03:48.880 while megastores pocket billions in additional profits.

00:03:52.160 Learn more at guardyourcard.com.

00:03:54.540 And then consider telling Congress to guard your card.

00:03:57.200 The Electronic Payments Coalition says Americans lose when politicians choose.

00:04:01.200 Again, that's guardyourcard.com.

00:04:04.400 Eric, welcome to the show.

00:04:06.060 So sorry about what happened to your dad.

00:04:08.280 How's he doing today?

00:04:09.720 He's doing well.

00:04:10.380 The guy's incredibly strong.

00:04:11.460 I mean, you've known him forever, right?

00:04:12.540 He's a warrior.

00:04:14.560 I spoke to him immediately after it happened.

00:04:16.240 That was one of the first people I knew.

00:04:17.500 And, you know, he was in okay spirits.

00:04:19.660 But, you know, honestly, I'm almost not, right?

00:04:22.240 I'm sick and tired of seeing, you know, people try and take his lives.

00:04:25.400 It's this, you know, second time in five weeks that this has been allowed to happen.

00:04:29.600 Butler was an utter failure.

00:04:31.400 You've done, I think, a better job probably, Megan, than anybody I'm reporting on that.

00:04:34.420 It should have never happened.

00:04:35.640 I mean, what happened there is just it's a breakdown of government in the worst possible

00:04:39.460 ways.

00:04:40.540 And then obviously, you see what happened yesterday.

00:04:42.780 And yesterday was ultimately a success, right?

00:04:44.960 They got the guy ahead of time.

00:04:45.920 They, you know, found out where he was.

00:04:47.760 And, you know, they saved somebody from utter catastrophe.

00:04:51.760 But this has to stop.

00:04:53.340 This has to stop.

00:04:54.920 We can't allow people with, you know, AR-15s, with AK-47s within 300 yards of the president.

00:05:03.080 It has to stop.

00:05:04.500 We have to do a better job.

00:05:05.740 You know, there's only so many kind of, you know, proverbial lives that you have before,

00:05:12.540 guess what?

00:05:12.800 You don't get so lucky.

00:05:14.200 He got incredibly lucky.

00:05:15.460 And Faith was definitely with him, you know, five weeks ago.

00:05:19.520 But it's only so many times you get lucky.

00:05:21.680 And this isn't funny anymore. 0.92

00:05:23.040 I mean, I just want everybody to understand they are trying to kill him, Megan. 0.98

00:05:26.040 They are trying to kill him.

00:05:28.080 And it's one of the things that drives me crazy when you see Kamala on the debate stage. 0.99

00:05:31.840 You know, this man's a threat to democracy.

00:05:33.520 It's, you know, there's only one person that they're going after.

00:05:35.780 And they're going after him viciously.

00:05:37.240 And they've gone after him in every single way.

00:05:39.020 They've gone after him illegally.

00:05:40.160 They tried to impeach him.

00:05:41.200 They tried to take him off the ballot in states.

00:05:43.680 They tried to take him off the ballot in Colorado and Maine.

00:05:46.820 They've gone after his family.

00:05:48.180 They've gone after all of us thousands of times.

00:05:50.200 You know, Megan, I'm probably the most subpoenaed person in the history of the country.

00:05:52.460 And I've never done a damn thing wrong.

00:05:55.100 They've done everything they could.

00:05:56.380 They've weaponized, you know, the judicial system, DAs, AGs.

00:06:01.040 They've gone after him civilly.

00:06:03.220 And now twice in five weeks, as we approach 50 days away from election day, they've tried to kill him.

00:06:10.100 And they will stop at absolutely nothing. 0.98

00:06:12.560 They are trying to kill him, Megan.

00:06:13.880 And it's deeply scary.

00:06:16.380 And, you know, government better do a good job protecting him.

00:06:20.460 And, you know, sometimes I worry that they're not.

00:06:23.560 Yeah, understandably.

00:06:25.020 And for good reason.

00:06:26.400 May I ask, how did you find out the news yesterday?

00:06:29.100 Yeah.

00:06:29.860 I had a dear friend who was actually in the sheriff's department who ended up calling me because, you know, obviously he went across the radio.

00:06:35.760 So, you know, as soon as shots were fired, he called me saying, hey, you know, you might want to figure out what the hell is going on.

00:06:40.520 It looks like they just tried this for a second time.

00:06:42.220 And so, obviously, I got on, you know, on the phone and, you know, they were taking him off the course.

00:06:46.940 And that's how I found out.

00:06:48.700 But it's, you know, coincidentally, I was driving south on 95.

00:06:52.220 I actually took a personal video of the guy being arrested at the time.

00:06:55.320 I mean, it's interesting how small the world can be at times.

00:06:59.040 But I'm driving south on 95.

00:07:00.480 The police chase was going north on 95.

00:07:02.400 And literally, I drive by all the helicopters and all the squad cars that are arresting the very man that, you know, 15 minutes before I tried to shoot my father.

00:07:10.080 It's interesting how the world works.

00:07:12.500 But it's, thank God they got him.

00:07:14.600 And now, apparently, he's in federal court laughing in front of the judge.

00:07:17.460 So, you know, that's the type of person that we're dealing with.

00:07:20.520 The reaction from the left last night, at least on the media, has been, there was an incident.

00:07:26.780 That's what NBC reported.

00:07:27.820 There was an incident at Trump's golf course.

00:07:30.980 And, oh, by the way, let's get back to cats and dogs in Springfield, Illinois, or Springfield, Ohio, and Trump's irresponsible rhetoric.

00:07:38.340 Did you see any of that in your reaction?

00:07:40.700 Yeah, that's part of the course for the media.

00:07:42.100 I mean, we've obviously found out, based on this whistleblower who came forward with a signed affidavit, that ABC gave the questions to Kamala Harris.

00:07:49.540 I'd like to know where Bob Iger is on this whole thing.

00:07:51.900 I mean, you want to talk about it disgusting.

00:07:53.620 And that's part of the course for the media.

00:07:55.960 You know, they may as well be, you know, the PR arm of the Democratic Party.

00:08:01.180 You know, 100% of their coverage toward her is positive, despite the fact that she's the worst vice president in the history of this country, bar none.

00:08:07.240 It's not even close.

00:08:08.820 And despite the, you know, the record my father had, you know, they're 100% negative against him.

00:08:12.760 And it's an absolute joke.

00:08:14.480 Of course they won.

00:08:15.220 And you see all these reports in the vicinity.

00:08:17.720 You know, shots were fired in the vicinity.

00:08:19.080 All right.

00:08:19.500 Well, let me just break this down because I know this property better than any person on Earth, maybe other than my father.

00:08:24.860 I run these properties.

00:08:25.980 You had a person who ran across a median, who ran across a massive lawn into, you know, massive palmetto bushes, effectively, was staged up against a fence 200 yards away from where my father was.

00:08:39.500 He was on the fifth screen.

00:08:40.960 He was about to come down the sixth hole.

00:08:42.380 This guy was in the middle of the sixth hole with body armor, GoPros, and an AK-47 on a fence line.

00:08:48.720 Thank God the Secret Service saw him.

00:08:50.340 And, you know, and then it's, yes, a shooting in the vicinity of the president.

00:08:53.760 I mean, they use every word that they possibly can to dumb down what this person was trying to do, which was to kill the 45th president of the United States, to extinguish him from this Earth.

00:09:05.360 But that's part of the course.

00:09:06.580 They don't want that story out there, right?

00:09:08.060 They don't want this headline.

00:09:10.660 They want to do everything they can to bolster Kamala's, you know, campaign, which is not much of a campaign because, again, she's just a horrible candidate. 1.00

00:09:20.060 But, you know, there was a meme going around, Megan, that the Will Smith slap literally lasted longer than the coverage of Butler, Pennsylvania.

00:09:30.040 And I think that's fairly accurate.

00:09:31.260 And that's the media in this country today.

00:09:33.420 Mm-hmm.

00:09:34.720 Is, I mean, the thing that struck me yesterday was your dad has a few pastimes.

00:09:39.460 He doesn't drink.

00:09:40.540 He doesn't smoke.

00:09:41.640 So what does he do to burn off stress?

00:09:44.100 And there must be a lot of it on him.

00:09:45.900 He plays golf, which is a good thing to do.

00:09:47.860 And now even that has been hampered by this would-be assassin.

00:09:53.180 I mean, now your dad's not going to be the same when he gets out.

00:09:55.140 He's going to have to worry about whether somebody's trying to take his life.

00:09:58.780 Is that, in your view, a Secret Service failure, an intelligence failure, a rhetoric failure by people who say he's Hitler?

00:10:07.100 What do you think?

00:10:08.380 What are you blaming today?

00:10:10.660 You know, it's a question that pains me an answer.

00:10:12.920 And there's really two sides of it, Megan.

00:10:15.120 The agents and I know them.

00:10:16.280 I know all the ones that were on the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, they did an awesome job.

00:10:20.200 The ones on that stage did an awesome job. 0.71

00:10:22.080 I mean, they would take a bullet for him.

00:10:23.320 And there were ones on that stage who were with me for three years.

00:10:25.520 I know them personally.

00:10:26.220 They're personal friends of mine, right?

00:10:28.440 There were people that were out there with him yesterday, and they did a phenomenal job.

00:10:31.480 They got him off that course so quickly.

00:10:33.060 I mean, as the first shot went out, they were pulling him off.

00:10:35.900 And they did a hell of a job.

00:10:37.920 But somebody's got to ask the question, what the hell is happening in the perimeter?

00:10:40.400 I mean, what's happening in the perimeter?

00:10:42.020 I mean, frankly, if I was an agent, I'd be screaming from the rooftops, right?

00:10:45.280 You're putting great agents who are doing phenomenal jobs and have acted perfectly in that situation.

00:10:51.360 But yet something is failing on the outskirts where you've had somebody with a rifle in Butler, Pennsylvania, 130 yards.

00:10:57.700 Somebody died and he got hit in a year.

00:10:59.940 In this case, you know, 200 to 300 yards away with an AK-47 propped up against a fence line.

00:11:05.520 And there's only so much that bodied people can do. 0.90

00:11:08.440 And clearly somebody on the outskirts is failing this mission because that should not happen.

00:11:13.200 And, you know, I hope to God somebody does a deep dive.

00:11:16.040 And it hurts me to say that because, again, the people who are around him are some of the greatest, finest people you'll ever meet in your entire life.

00:11:21.460 I know them.

00:11:22.060 I'm friends with them.

00:11:22.880 I've known them for years. 0.97

00:11:24.260 And they would take a bullet and they, you know, would die for him.

00:11:27.960 And many of them, based on the incompetence, frankly, Megan, have almost.

00:11:31.600 I mean, they're in the line of fire.

00:11:33.440 And Butler, there's, you know, multiple shots that went at.

00:11:36.020 Any single one of them could have gotten killed.

00:11:38.420 What is going on with the perimeter that's supposed to be around our world leaders?

00:11:42.840 How can this possibly happen?

00:11:44.960 130 yards is a chip shot.

00:11:46.580 I did a lot of competitive shooting.

00:11:48.020 It's one of my, you know, favorite things in the world to do.

00:11:50.440 I mean, that's like making a four-inch putt, 300 yards with a modern-day rifle.

00:11:55.040 This is not a, ask any person who hunts deer, ask any person who's an outdoorsman, 300 yards with a modern-day rifle.

00:12:01.520 These are not hard shots.

00:12:03.100 And yet it's happened, you know, what, twice in the last five weeks?

00:12:06.960 You know, we better rethink our tactics.

00:12:08.920 And on every side, every person who is a political protectee in this country, we better rethink our tactics because whatever the hell we're doing right now, Megan, it's not working.

00:12:18.280 It's not working.

00:12:19.100 And there's not going to be too many more chances before somebody gets awfully lucky because these aren't hard shots.

00:12:24.940 One word on that ABC affidavit to which you referred.

00:12:28.700 We're actually going to take a deep dive into that later in the show.

00:12:31.740 ABC hasn't responded to our requests on whether they want to deny any of these allegations, nor has Speaker Johnson hasn't weighed in.

00:12:38.200 Allegedly, he got the letter from this whistleblower.

00:12:40.080 But we are going to take a deep dive into whether, in fact, there's reason to believe they cheated on that debate, that they gave Kamala Harris, I mean, explicitly unfair advantages, sample questions, and so on, just so the audience knows.

00:12:51.420 Can I ask you this?

00:13:21.420 You should run the country, but about how evil your dad is.

00:13:24.840 So do you accept their statements today that they're very sorry about what happened and that really this should never happen?

00:13:31.220 No, I don't accept their statements, Megan, and not at all.

00:13:33.780 I mean, you know, before Butler, Pennsylvania, two days before, Biden had a, you know, a truth or an X up saying that we should put the president in the, quote, unquote, crosshairs.

00:13:43.800 I mean, you've done a better job than anybody going back.

00:13:46.360 I mean, look at Maxine Waters' comments.

00:13:47.860 Look at it, right?

00:13:48.720 You kick them when they're down. 0.97

00:13:49.960 You kick them again. 0.99

00:13:50.920 You hit them hard. 0.99

00:13:52.120 You hit them when they're down. 1.00

00:13:53.640 I mean, they are the most violent people in the world. 0.99

00:13:56.240 You know, the bullets are only going one way here, right?

00:13:58.900 When was the last time that?

00:14:00.320 And it's insane.

00:14:02.620 They've called for violence so many times.

00:14:04.440 So, no, I don't believe the rhetoric at all.

00:14:06.440 You know, I mean, this is the same administration that wouldn't give RFK secret service protection despite the fact that multiple people in his family, not despite the fact that he's a serious political candidate for a major party in the country, but also despite the fact that several people in his family have been executed, right?

00:14:22.040 I mean, they've been taken out by assassins.

00:14:24.920 They refuse to give the guy.

00:14:26.080 My father was a guy who came out and said, give this guy secret service protection.

00:14:29.620 You're going to get this man killed.

00:14:31.400 I don't think they give a damn, Megan, honestly, and it pains me to say that. 0.98

00:14:34.360 And so, yeah, you see some, you know, some posts online that doesn't feel genuine at all.

00:14:40.560 That's written by some staffer saying the absolute bare minimum of what should be said.

00:14:44.940 And there was no accountability.

00:14:46.960 I mean, why didn't Biden get rid of the secret service director?

00:14:50.040 Why did she have to resign on her own after she gets up there and says the reason that they didn't have snipers on the roof in Butler, Pennsylvania is because the slope of the roof was too steep, right?

00:14:59.840 Everybody knew that was BS.

00:15:01.060 Everybody knew that was total nonsense.

00:15:02.500 It was the least steep roof of all of them.

00:15:05.060 In fact, the roofs that the snipers were on were exponentially more steep than the roof that the, you know, would-be assassin tried to shoot my father from.

00:15:13.860 Yet, you know, this is the narrative, right?

00:15:16.560 And there's no accountability.

00:15:18.280 I mean, if I was Biden, I would have forced a resignation five minutes after this.

00:15:22.820 I mean, isn't that what happens when, you know, protectees start getting shot, getting shot at when you have such big lapses?

00:15:30.960 But they never hold anybody accountable.

00:15:32.880 They didn't hold Millie accountable when you had the most disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, right?

00:15:37.400 I mean, why is it that this administration holds no one accountable for failure after failure?

00:15:43.680 I mean, what's that going to do that's just going to incentivize further failure?

00:15:46.480 That's never going to get you to good results.

00:15:48.480 People should know that they have responsibility, and they better take that responsibility seriously.

00:15:52.840 Otherwise, they're not going to be there the next day.

00:15:54.540 That's how the real world works, but that's not how it works under these guys.

00:15:59.060 And so, no, I think it's a lot of lip service.

00:16:01.380 I think the tweets were incredibly generic.

00:16:04.340 They were nonsense.

00:16:05.320 I guarantee you they probably never even saw them.

00:16:07.360 They were probably written by some low-level staffer who put it out because they realized that they had to say something.

00:16:13.340 But I think it's completely disingenuous, especially, again, given that Biden has been the first person to say he hopes Donald Trump remains in the quote-unquote crosshairs,

00:16:22.300 which, unfortunately, he's been twice in the last five weeks.

00:16:26.100 Exactly right.

00:16:27.160 The weirdness of this guy's, this shooter, this would-be shooter's book, talking about Iran.

00:16:33.280 I'm going to quote more now from this book, which is available on Amazon.

00:16:36.840 I would like to celebrate the amazing work of John Kerry that very humbly and humanly handled the Iran deal, which elated me and the whole of the world. 0.95

00:16:45.780 I must take part of the blame for the retarded child, quoting here, that we elected for our next president that ended up being brainless. 1.00

00:16:54.860 But I am man enough to say that I misjudged and made a terrible mistake. 0.82

00:16:58.400 And Iran, I apologize. 0.97

00:17:00.280 And here's where he says what we said in the intro.

00:17:02.620 You are free to assassinate Trump as well as me for that error in judgment and the dismantling of the deal. 0.94

00:17:08.460 No one here in the U.S. seems to have the balls to put natural selection to work or even unnatural selection. 0.99

00:17:14.720 There is an Iranian death threat on your dad. 1.00

00:17:19.460 They've been investigated and there was a warning that the Secret Service was aware of before Butler, though the complaints by the locals was that that was not shared with them.

00:17:28.840 Do you have any concerns about whether this guy might have some ties to Iran or some foreign actor overseas?

00:17:37.300 Yes.

00:17:38.020 Yes.

00:17:38.620 I mean, listen, we've had the Iranian death threat on all of us, frankly, for a very long time. 1.00

00:17:42.680 It's something that we've been very cognizant of for, you know, many years, frankly.

00:17:48.280 I mean, from the time that he was in office and he was taking out guys like Soleimani and al-Baghdadi and, you know, so many of their nuclear scientists and doing so many other things.

00:17:55.260 I mean, it's interesting that the guy that would be shooter yesterday was complimenting a country that literally chants death to America.

00:18:02.380 I mean, Tehran, they chant death to America on their streets.

00:18:04.640 Yet he's, you know, he's complimenting how great their their nation is.

00:18:07.660 It's also kind of ironic that, you know, we had total peace in the Middle East under my father.

00:18:12.800 Right.

00:18:13.040 Iran was broke.

00:18:14.620 You know, we were exporting oil from the U.S., meaning we didn't need their oil.

00:18:18.060 My father put massive embargoes on them.

00:18:20.140 Effectively, anybody who buys Iranian oil, we're not going to buy a single product.

00:18:24.260 The United States of America will not buy a single product from.

00:18:26.660 So you want to trade oil with them?

00:18:28.020 Congratulations.

00:18:28.540 You're effectively cut off from every market around the world.

00:18:31.480 Iran was broke.

00:18:32.640 There were no missiles flying.

00:18:33.760 They weren't attacking our greatest ally in the Middle East.

00:18:36.160 Right.

00:18:36.360 Which is obviously Israel.

00:18:37.720 There was total peace.

00:18:39.020 No problems.

00:18:40.400 No problems from the Taliban. 0.89

00:18:41.920 No problems from ISIS. 0.68

00:18:43.680 Taliban.

00:18:44.260 Right.

00:18:44.480 For the last 18 months, we didn't lose a single service member over in Afghanistan.

00:18:48.740 My father sent ahead of the Taliban literally a picture of his home.

00:18:51.780 And, you know, hey, guess what?

00:18:53.120 Don't mess with the United States.

00:18:54.020 You know what's going to happen if you do.

00:18:55.540 Right.

00:18:55.740 There was peace in the Middle East.

00:18:56.780 You had the Abraham Accords. 0.99

00:18:57.800 You had the moving of the embassy, as everybody knows very well.

00:19:00.860 You had the Golan Heights.

00:19:01.600 You had so many great milestones in the Middle East.

00:19:04.560 And, you know, it's amazing that the shooter was the same guy that's laughing in front of

00:19:09.120 a courthouse right now as he's facing probably the rest of his life in jail for doing what

00:19:12.740 he inevitably wanted to do.

00:19:14.500 But, you know, it's amazing that this person is a guy who's, you know, complimenting a country

00:19:18.640 that, again, you know, wants our total demise, wants to create nuclear weapons to

00:19:24.980 use against the West to extinguish our religion, our way of life, our families, and everything

00:19:31.360 that red, white, and blue stands for.

00:19:32.900 And so it's very par for the course for the guy that I see in that picture who looks like 0.97

00:19:36.820 a total maniac. 0.95

00:19:38.520 Mm hmm. 0.95

00:19:39.120 The there is a retired FBI assistant director.

00:19:42.760 He was in office from 2004 to 2006.

00:19:44.500 His name is Chris Swecker, was 24 years with the FBI, uh, help actually capture Eric Rudolph

00:19:52.200 after the Olympic Park bombing, uh, the actual guy who did it.

00:19:55.960 And in a Newsweek interview, he said, the biggest question to answer here is how did the would-be

00:20:00.660 assassin know to be at that location at that time?

00:20:05.420 And then he goes on to say, Eric, there are only three possible answers.

00:20:08.980 He guessed and got very lucky.

00:20:11.340 He conducted surveillance on Trump and followed him to the golf course, or he had inside information

00:20:16.700 about Trump's schedule.

00:20:19.060 Your thoughts on those three possibilities?

00:20:21.820 I agree with him 100%.

00:20:22.900 And in what world do we think it's a good idea for somebody with a pistol to be fighting

00:20:27.140 a guy with a rifle, right?

00:20:28.780 Those odds, this is never, never good, never good.

00:20:32.160 Pistols versus rifles don't work out well, um, you know, in, in, in the modern day, uh,

00:20:36.520 we, we better get a real, um, we better get a real perimeter around the president and we

00:20:41.700 better do so quickly. 0.89

00:20:42.880 Megan, they're trying to kill him, right? 1.00

00:20:44.760 They're trying to kill him.

00:20:46.320 I said it, and it was very controversial when I did, and I'm not a tinfoil hat wearing guy.

00:20:50.320 I'm a very pragmatic guy.

00:20:51.420 I've just seen what they tried to do to my family for the last, you know, 10 years now

00:20:55.540 of being us, you know, of, of us, you know, being in this game, I've seen every single

00:20:59.740 trick.

00:21:00.380 They laughed at us first, then they tried to take him down and they tried to impeach him and they

00:21:04.540 went after him.

00:21:05.220 They tried to do everything. 0.99

00:21:07.120 And the only thing that was left for them to do was to literally kill him.

00:21:10.620 And a couple of months ago, a couple of months before Butler, I literally said, it would not 0.66

00:21:15.020 surprise me at all.

00:21:16.000 These people will stop at absolutely nothing.

00:21:17.980 And that's exactly what we're seeing.

00:21:19.720 And then you take that with real lapses in security.

00:21:22.220 And I'm not talking about even yesterday.

00:21:24.460 I think yesterday in many ways was a success.

00:21:26.800 They got the guy before he could do something bad, but we better work on this perimeter because

00:21:31.300 this is getting far too close.

00:21:33.380 Butler was a disaster.

00:21:34.440 And even when Blumenthal, it was probably the biggest anti-Trumper in the world, right?

00:21:39.500 When he comes out and says that there's a lot there to unpack, we better start getting

00:21:43.440 serious because, you know, Megan, we look like a third world country.

00:21:45.980 We probably already do to tell you the truth, but we'd look like a third world country if

00:21:49.000 our, you know, if the leading candidate, former president of the United States and leading

00:21:52.600 candidate, you know, likely the 47th president of the United States gets executed in Palm Beach,

00:21:57.680 Florida.

00:21:58.540 We'd be the laughingstock of the entire world.

00:22:00.340 You know, congratulations, we're no longer the superpower of the world because people 0.93

00:22:03.300 are literally, people would be laughing at us.

00:22:05.480 You know, not to mention what would probably be the ramifications that came out of something

00:22:08.820 like that.

00:22:09.400 You know, I mean, civil wars in countries have started for less than things like that.

00:22:13.160 I couldn't even fathom what that would mean for our nation, what that would mean for the

00:22:17.480 American dream, what that would mean for our prosperity, the respect or lack thereof.

00:22:22.480 You can't spend $3 billion on an agency to protect effectively two people, really protect

00:22:28.380 two people, um, and, and have gaps.

00:22:30.720 And there were gaps in Butler.

00:22:32.280 There's no question about it.

00:22:33.500 And honestly, it's just feels to me that-

00:22:35.500 Same gap, right?

00:22:36.220 Perimeter in Butler, perimeter down here.

00:22:38.620 As somebody who knows this golf course, is it, you tell me, is it possible, do you think,

00:22:43.040 for somebody to have just followed your dad, just sort of stumbled upon his schedule, like

00:22:46.940 look for him and then follow him to the golf course?

00:22:49.940 Yeah, it's, it's awfully easy to see a big motorcade pulling in there, right?

00:22:53.500 You know, but, but clearly it was premeditated.

00:22:55.240 There's no question about that.

00:22:56.320 I mean, the guy effectively went into a bunch of Eureka palms posted along-

00:23:00.980 Yeah, but I mean, how, how would he know your dad would be there on, on this particular

00:23:03.840 Sunday, right?

00:23:04.520 Your dad's, it apparently wasn't broadcast.

00:23:07.320 So, I mean, do you have any, cause you know, there are a lot of people thinking this,

00:23:10.440 this had to be an inside job.

00:23:11.960 And I know we have to entertain that.

00:23:13.480 We have to look down that lane.

00:23:14.920 Better entertain it.

00:23:15.540 Is it plausible that you just-

00:23:17.400 Yeah, go ahead.

00:23:17.940 Everybody is better entertain it.

00:23:19.160 Everybody is better entertain everything, right?

00:23:21.800 I never thought I'd say this again.

00:23:22.960 I'm not that tinfoil hat guy.

00:23:24.340 I'm actually a very sane human being.

00:23:27.020 And I think there's a lot of conspiracy theories out there that are absolutely insane.

00:23:30.320 You better believe after, you know, twice in five weeks, you better start entertaining,

00:23:34.100 you know, all of those scenarios because something is, is very, very wrong.

00:23:38.220 And it could have been very, very different.

00:23:40.120 The guy literally brought a rifle across.

00:23:43.080 Megan, if you look at that, right, you've got a, you know, you've got a massive street that's

00:23:46.220 wide open, you've got probably 20 yards of a beautiful, perfectly manicured grass.

00:23:52.200 Then you get to a row of beautiful palm trees, right?

00:23:54.600 Royal palm trees.

00:23:55.220 And you have about another 20 yards of grass.

00:23:56.960 And then you've got a big hedge line.

00:23:58.940 Inside the hedge line, you have a chain link fence, right?

00:24:00.900 On the other side of that.

00:24:02.080 He literally got across all of that holding a long gun.

00:24:05.400 And no one saw this, right?

00:24:07.340 There weren't, there weren't eyes on street.

00:24:08.780 It's not like he's creeping through a bunch of woods to try and get in a concealed spot and

00:24:12.100 total camouflage.

00:24:12.800 I mean, he literally went across a massive highway in the middle of the day with a long

00:24:17.000 gun, something that you can't just throw in a backpack, right?

00:24:20.140 And slithered his way into the bushes, adjoining, you know, adjacent to a golf hole that my father

00:24:25.700 happened to be on at that time.

00:24:27.340 Yeah, you better entertain those, those possibilities because that's seriously bad. 0.86

00:24:31.380 And, you know, I mean, the guy from looking at him looks like a total nut job. 0.99

00:24:35.540 Obviously he's, he's crazy. 0.86

00:24:36.780 You see that picture, but what happens if he wasn't, what happens if that guy was well camoed?

00:24:41.280 What happens if that agent just didn't happen to be there at the right time?

00:24:44.040 What happens if that guy killed that agent and then use a scope rifle to take somebody

00:24:47.560 out from not a far distance?

00:24:48.820 I mean, we better really start locking down this perimeter because something is, is, is

00:24:53.560 awfully wrong.

00:24:54.240 And as I said, three times on this interview, now they are trying to get him.

00:24:58.160 When I said it six months ago, I believed in my heart that they would stop at nothing.

00:25:02.160 But now the world knows they are trying to get him.

00:25:06.440 Do you feel comfortable having the FBI conduct this investigation?

00:25:09.060 Ron DeSantis is saying he will conduct an investigation of his own down in Florida, just

00:25:12.920 to make sure there are a lot of people who don't trust the FBI.

00:25:15.980 A lot of people at this point have questions about the secret service.

00:25:18.940 Who would you like to see investigate this?

00:25:21.460 Yeah.

00:25:23.440 It pains me to answer this question because honestly, I'm, I'm the biggest like law enforcement

00:25:26.540 guy.

00:25:26.920 I mean, my, my best friends in the world are all, all law enforcement.

00:25:30.120 I mean, literally Megan, my closest friends in the world.

00:25:32.540 I've told you stories about them yesterday, but they are some of my closest friends in

00:25:36.680 the world.

00:25:37.120 But then I see the, the weaponization of government.

00:25:39.180 I mean, I was the guy that got the call from the FBI that, you know, um, about the, you

00:25:44.900 know, the servers in the basement of Trump power communicating with the Kremlin, right?

00:25:49.460 We disproved that in 12 hours, right?

00:25:51.940 First of all, we didn't have servers in a basement because guess what?

00:25:54.220 Basements flood, right? 1.00

00:25:54.980 You don't put servers in basements is stupid. 0.99

00:25:56.640 Second of all, we're largely cloud computing. 0.99

00:25:58.720 So, you know, the notion of really having servers are communicating with the Kremlin

00:26:01.700 or just, it's insane.

00:26:03.060 We had disproved that yet that hung over the first three years of my father's presidency,

00:26:07.260 right?

00:26:07.580 They could have shut that down second one day one, and they let that drag and they let

00:26:12.700 that linger.

00:26:13.460 It pit, it literally put two superpowers against each other.

00:26:16.880 If you think about it, right?

00:26:17.700 The two superpowers with the most nuclear weapons on earth, Russia and America for a three

00:26:22.460 year period of time, almost couldn't have communications because of the sham hoax that was happening. 0.89

00:26:26.520 When an agency knew that it was nonsense, that it was garbage, that there was nothing there, 0.88

00:26:32.020 they let it hang over my father. 0.97

00:26:33.500 And so do I have full trust in the FBI?

00:26:36.660 No, I don't.

00:26:38.820 I don't.

00:26:39.260 I've seen more leaks through that agency.

00:26:41.120 I've seen more things about us get leaked that were just untrue.

00:26:45.800 It's no, I don't, I don't, unfortunately, I don't have faith.

00:26:47.940 And, you know, it's so sad because I have a bunch of friends who were FBI agents, like,

00:26:51.000 you know, the actual gun carriers in that organization.

00:26:52.740 And these are the most incredible people you've ever seen.

00:26:55.100 I mean, a couple of my closest friends in the world are in that agency, and they also

00:26:59.640 shake their heads and say, what the hell is going on?

00:27:01.540 I mean, it's really amazing how, you know, one floor in one office building and one, you

00:27:06.140 know, in when, you know, in Washington, D.C. can corrupt an entire agency.

00:27:10.820 And you see that with the Secret Service as well sometimes.

00:27:12.900 I mean, some of the finest people you have ever met in your life, people who, regardless

00:27:17.480 of whether we win on November 5th, will be some of my closest lifelong friends, were people

00:27:21.980 who, frankly, were assigned to Laura and I for a four-year period of time or a three-year

00:27:26.600 period of time, you know, depending on, you know, when their ship came in.

00:27:29.940 These are some of the greatest people.

00:27:31.460 They love this country.

00:27:32.280 They love America.

00:27:33.040 They would do anything. 0.83

00:27:33.820 And they would take a bullet for either my father. 1.00

00:27:35.840 They would take a bullet for Biden. 1.00

00:27:37.000 They would take a bullet for Harris. 1.00

00:27:38.060 They would take a bullet for anybody because that's their job. 0.79

00:27:39.920 And they're brave as hell and they're good at what they do.

00:27:42.480 But there's also a breakdown at the very top.

00:27:45.360 And make no mistake, some of these agencies are weaponized.

00:27:48.100 I mean, you know, the eighth floor of the Secret Service in Washington, D.C.

00:27:51.180 allowed agents during my father's presidency to go find the 4473, the firearm forms from

00:27:58.080 Hunter Biden.

00:27:58.860 They allowed agents to go over to the firearm store where he had his revolver and they wanted

00:28:03.040 to collect those forms.

00:28:04.060 I wonder what they were doing.

00:28:05.100 This was while my father was president.

00:28:06.860 Do you think while Joe Biden was president, if, you know, Laura Trump threw a revolver

00:28:11.100 in a trash can outside of the supermarket, do you think Secret Service agents would be

00:28:15.940 going over there and trying to, you know, fish it out of a dumpster or going over to the

00:28:19.460 gun store to try and collect the paperwork?

00:28:21.300 Of course they weren't, Megan.

00:28:22.720 There's corruption in the government.

00:28:24.400 There's massive corruption in the government.

00:28:26.100 That corruption only goes one way, right?

00:28:28.040 I mean, the Democrats have done everything they can to weaponize every single system.

00:28:31.800 They've weaponized the military.

00:28:33.020 They've weaponized the DOJ.

00:28:35.000 You know, they've weaponized the entire legal system.

00:28:38.800 I mean, they're sending the number three person in charge of the DOJ to New York to prosecute

00:28:42.520 my father to try and take him off the ticket so that Joe Biden had a better chance of winning.

00:28:46.800 And everybody knows the end story of what happened there.

00:28:50.140 It's insane.

00:28:50.920 They've weaponized these institutions top to bottom.

00:28:53.940 I mean, they've weaponized health care.

00:28:55.600 And at the center of it is a real life human who has a family, has grandkids.

00:29:00.740 That was one of the first things I thought about.

00:29:01.940 Like, you've got two young kids.

00:29:03.460 What are they, like seven and five now?

00:29:05.480 How do you explain to your little ones that people are trying to kill grandpa?

00:29:09.860 My kids were sitting on my lap when Butler happened.

00:29:12.280 I was literally typing an email.

00:29:13.640 They were sitting on my lap watching him, right?

00:29:15.600 Everybody was speculating that he was going to make the dance announcement that day.

00:29:18.800 I knew he wasn't going to, but everybody was watching that rally.

00:29:21.320 It was being telecast by everybody.

00:29:22.320 My kids were six and four at the time, but I had a six and four-year-old sitting on my lap watching their grandfather, you know, go down with blood flowing across his face.

00:29:30.460 I mean, yeah, he's a real life human being.

00:29:32.920 And, you know, it is a real life family.

00:29:34.740 But beyond all of that, I mean, don't cry for us.

00:29:36.740 We're big boys.

00:29:38.200 We can stand on the stage and, you know, and have so.

00:29:40.380 And I will to the day I die.

00:29:42.320 And I don't care what they do to us.

00:29:43.440 They're not going to, you know.

00:29:44.820 But this is the guy who does not need to be doing this, right?

00:29:47.960 I mean, Barack Obama was a community organizer, right?

00:29:50.840 What was his next step?

00:29:52.140 Well, probably politics.

00:29:53.860 You know, my father could live the greatest life in the world.

00:29:56.080 He could stay at Mar-a-Lago.

00:29:57.160 He could have the greatest time. 1.00

00:29:58.640 We've got the best ass. 0.97

00:29:59.560 That's the best hotels, the best golf courses around the world. 0.99

00:30:02.200 He can live the greatest life with no nonsense.

00:30:04.340 He's not getting shot at every single day, literally and figuratively.

00:30:06.940 He's not sitting in courthouses all around the country.

00:30:10.160 He lives a beautiful life.

00:30:11.120 He could still be the kingmaker of the Republican Party.

00:30:13.000 And guess what he wants to do?

00:30:14.320 He wants to go out and fix this country because we are a failing nation.

00:30:16.900 We are failing on every single front.

00:30:18.600 Our economy is a joke.

00:30:20.400 Countries around the world are laughing at us.

00:30:22.140 I just came back from the Middle East.

00:30:23.360 We have a project over there.

00:30:25.080 They're literally laughing at us.

00:30:26.480 They're laughing at Biden.

00:30:27.540 I mean, the guy's sleeping on a beach while my father lays wreaths at Abbey Gate, you know,

00:30:32.360 commemorating 13 fallen soldiers in Afghanistan based on the worst withdrawal in the history

00:30:36.820 of our nation.

00:30:38.320 And what, our president is sleeping on a beach getting a suntan?

00:30:42.080 I mean, the world is laughing at us.

00:30:44.600 It's crazy.

00:30:45.200 You have Kamala Harris, who doesn't have a single policy that makes any sense whatsoever. 1.00

00:30:50.260 I mean, her economic policies would bankrupt this country in about two and a half seconds. 1.00

00:30:54.320 You know, it's, it's, and she's put in charge of the border. 0.99

00:30:57.120 We've had 20 million people come across our border.

00:30:59.000 We have 300,000 kids that have died of fentanyl poisoning and they laugh about it.

00:31:03.880 They haven't done a damn thing.

00:31:04.720 And then she comes out, yes, I'm going to be very serious about the border. 0.92

00:31:07.360 Very serious about the border.

00:31:08.180 Megan, they flew in 320,000 people on aircraft, 737s into airports all across our nation in

00:31:15.380 the middle of the night.

00:31:16.160 Yet she's saying she's going to be serious about enforcing her, our border, right?

00:31:19.960 They let in 20 million people into this country.

00:31:23.180 They sold an entire wall that my father had built, right?

00:31:26.400 He put it 500 miles, almost 600 miles.

00:31:29.160 All the, the rest of the border wall was built.

00:31:30.860 They sold all that steel for scrap at like four cents on the dollar, right?

00:31:35.960 And yet they come out and say, yes, we're going to be very serious about closing our

00:31:38.420 border. 0.99

00:31:39.260 These people are the biggest crooks. 1.00

00:31:41.160 They're the biggest liars. 1.00

00:31:42.280 They're so disingenuous. 0.99

00:31:43.840 And we would win this election by 100% if they didn't cheat.

00:31:47.740 And if they didn't have the entire mainstream media being effectively the propaganda wing

00:31:52.300 of the democratic party.

00:31:53.760 That's right.

00:31:54.540 The, the, the, the media, I mean, we're going to get to that with our next guest.

00:31:57.320 I don't want to waste too much of your time because I know you got to run.

00:31:59.680 Can I just bring, bring this one thing up before I let you go?

00:32:02.120 The New York times now reporting this just hit the federal criminal complaint filed against

00:32:06.460 the suspected gunman says his cell phone was in the vicinity of the area along the tree

00:32:11.420 line of the Trump golf course, beginning at 1 59 AM, which would have been 12 hours prior

00:32:17.920 to the secret service, finding him meaning it appears he was likely lying in wait potentially

00:32:27.040 for 12 hours at a minimum.

00:32:28.920 He visited the site at two in the morning and then went back.

00:32:32.480 But this certainly suggests he could have been lying in wait and certainly was outside

00:32:36.900 of the golf course.

00:32:38.100 Yet another thing, if the secret service had drones, if the secret service understanding

00:32:42.880 he was going to golf there would have detected or should have detected in advance, I, I can't

00:32:48.300 help but feel like he was a sitting duck. 0.97

00:32:50.280 Megan, he was a sitting duck.

00:32:53.280 I know the exact spot he was in.

00:32:54.960 I know it so well.

00:32:56.880 God forbid he would have, that agent wouldn't have seen him.

00:33:00.440 He would have been right in front of him.

00:33:02.040 He would have been 40 yards on the next hole right there, right where it says hole six,

00:33:05.760 right where your little arrow's pointing, right?

00:33:07.280 It's, it's just in from that.

00:33:08.660 He would have been standing right there and the guy would have been there with an assault 0.90

00:33:11.240 rifle at 50 yards.

00:33:12.900 Thank God for that agent doing their job.

00:33:16.220 But somebody better, better take perimeter security more, more, more seriously.

00:33:20.960 This is not going to end well.

00:33:22.420 Nothing about this is going to end well.

00:33:23.720 The fact that it's that premeditated, the guy was there one o'clock in the morning.

00:33:26.840 Yeah, that's, that's seriously problematic.

00:33:29.540 What the hell is a person doing there at one o'clock in the morning?

00:33:31.700 This is Megan.

00:33:33.080 I can't even tell you how I truly feel about this because it's, it's, you know, it's not

00:33:37.620 only as devastating for, you know, as, as a family member, right.

00:33:40.420 I mean, this bothers me more that this is against him than it would be if it were against

00:33:44.700 me, right.

00:33:45.360 I'd be substantially less, you know, upset, but like, we've got to be better than this

00:33:50.040 as a country on every front, on every front.

00:33:52.400 We have to be better than this as a country.

00:33:54.220 We better.

00:33:54.560 And there should be universal outrage, but there isn't, there isn't, you know, you've seen

00:33:58.020 some of the nasty reaction from leftists online celebrating it.

00:34:01.820 They have absolutely no sympathy for him.

00:34:03.880 They're, you know, Bob Iger, you've seen the snarky comments after Butler, like they're

00:34:06.520 sorry he missed.

00:34:08.500 Bob Iger, who's the head of ABC, you know, he's the head of Disney, but obviously the

00:34:11.580 parent company, you know, to ABC, you know, I mean, where, where's the outrage?

00:34:16.500 Where's the outrage against Bob?

00:34:17.740 I mean, if I was Bob Iger, I'd fire everybody at ABC news.

00:34:21.020 I'd fire everybody.

00:34:22.020 I mean, you just tank the entire brand for ABC news.

00:34:24.300 Where is the outrage?

00:34:25.140 I mean, this is a guy who runs a publicly run company, right?

00:34:28.500 I mean, Disney is a pub.

00:34:29.820 He's got a fiduciary duty to his shareholders.

00:34:32.620 His shareholders are hundreds of thousands of people around this country, you know, maybe

00:34:37.020 millions of people around this country and around the world.

00:34:40.780 Yet there's no ramification, right?

00:34:42.260 And they, no different than an organization is willing to literally give the questions

00:34:46.660 of a presidential debate to one of the candidates that they favor.

00:34:52.080 Does it come as any surprise that they want to bury the second time?

00:34:55.420 My father has almost been assassinated in a five-week period of time.

00:34:59.900 That shouldn't shock anybody.

00:35:01.840 Everybody knows whose team they're on.

00:35:04.060 George Stephanopoulos, I mean, he was part of the war room.

00:35:07.060 He was part of the Clinton, you know, political team with James Carvell and all these people.

00:35:12.760 Does anybody really believe that these people can be fair and objective?

00:35:16.840 Of course they can't be.

00:35:18.780 But also, Megan, where's the shareholder outrage?

00:35:21.140 If I was a shareholder of Disney, and thank God I'm not, because honestly, they're a failing

00:35:25.680 company at this point.

00:35:26.620 But where is the outrage?

00:35:29.560 You know, don't these people demand more?

00:35:33.020 Yeah, apparently not.

00:35:34.200 I mean, the answer is yes.

00:35:35.180 It's a hypothetical question.

00:35:36.580 But I mean, the fact that Bob Iger has not said a word about either what's happened then

00:35:42.560 and they continue the narrative today, not to mention the NBCs and frankly, the CNNs and

00:35:48.020 everybody else on that hit list, it's horribly disgusting.

00:35:52.680 We need answers.

00:35:53.440 Yeah, they're not acknowledging multiple failures at the debate.

00:35:56.620 They're not acknowledging, they're not reversing any of their fake fact checks, which is just

00:36:01.040 a disgrace.

00:36:01.680 They're being celebrated for these fake fact checks by other members of the media.

00:36:05.580 And then on top of that, you get this self-proclaimed whistleblower saying ABC gave her sample

00:36:11.920 questions.

00:36:12.460 ABC agreed with the Harris campaign, again, not yet responded to by ABC or by Speaker Johnson,

00:36:19.520 who was allegedly copied on the whistleblower letter.

00:36:21.540 But not only that they gave her sample questions, but they agreed that they wouldn't ask her about

00:36:25.180 Joe Biden's fitness, mental fitness, that they wouldn't ask her about her brother-in-law

00:36:30.300 and his term in the Department of Justice, where he was accused of intentionally giving

00:36:34.240 out big settlements to left-wing plaintiffs in order to curry favor, or her time as California 0.87

00:36:39.480 AG.

00:36:42.620 This verified, meaning sworn under the penalty of perjury, affidavit the day before the

00:36:47.240 debate, the day before.

00:36:48.980 We haven't seen it.

00:36:49.880 This needs to play out.

00:36:51.080 But why has there not even been an on-the-record denial?

00:36:53.480 This was everywhere yesterday.

00:36:54.940 And it compounds what we saw at the debate, which we know with our own eyes, irrespective

00:36:58.560 of whistleblower, was a negligent attempt at journalism.

00:37:03.560 Irrespective of the whistleblower, you just took the words out of my mouth.

00:37:05.920 Now, I looked at Susie Wiles, who runs a campaign for us, and she was sitting right next to me

00:37:10.500 during that debate.

00:37:11.140 I was about 30 feet away from my father, just in a room right next door.

00:37:14.220 And Susie and I were watching, and I guess she had the questions.

00:37:16.700 You can just tell the way she was answering them.

00:37:18.580 Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.

00:37:20.080 I mean, it's almost like, I mean, you must have rehearsed him.

00:37:22.520 You know when somebody's scripted.

00:37:23.780 You know when somebody's rehearsed.

00:37:25.340 She was rehearsed.

00:37:26.200 She had seen these questions before.

00:37:27.520 There's just no question about it.

00:37:29.400 And by the way, to your first part of the question is, those would have been the first

00:37:32.960 questions that any illogical person would have, any fair, impartial person would have

00:37:37.120 asked.

00:37:38.020 You know, your own state of California has gone to hell, right?

00:37:41.060 You have homeless camps all over the place.

00:37:42.940 You've got fentanyl crisis, the likes of which you've never seen.

00:37:45.300 People can't afford to live there.

00:37:46.800 It's been the largest migration of people out of a state in the history of the United States

00:37:50.040 by far.

00:37:50.800 It's not even close.

00:37:52.200 Everybody's leaving.

00:37:53.620 You know, your streets are dirty.

00:37:54.940 Crime is all over the place.

00:37:56.200 You can't walk a block in San Francisco without walking across a hypodermic needle.

00:37:59.920 Like, why should people trust you to run the United States of America, which is much bigger

00:38:03.800 than just the city of San Francisco?

00:38:06.260 I mean, that's like the most obvious question.

00:38:08.700 My seven-year-old son would have thought of that question.

00:38:10.700 And, you know, it's-

00:38:11.360 With Biden's mental acuity?

00:38:13.080 Of course.

00:38:13.900 For the last three and a half years, you've been saying that the guy was incredibly sharp.

00:38:17.100 He was a modern-day, you know, Winston Churchill.

00:38:19.020 He was incredible.

00:38:19.780 He's incredibly vibrant.

00:38:20.760 And then he comes down stage and the entire world sees that he was none of those things.

00:38:24.600 So you effectively lied to the American people for three and a half years.

00:38:27.860 You did so with fracking.

00:38:28.980 You did so on the border.

00:38:30.260 You did so on a host of other issues.

00:38:31.860 You know, what's your retort?

00:38:35.320 You know, Mrs. Potentially President of the United States. 0.63

00:38:38.580 These would be the most obvious questions to answer.

00:38:41.200 Of course, they're not going to do that because they're in bed with her campaign. 0.99

00:38:44.920 They're in bed with them.

00:38:46.960 Stephanopoulos.

00:38:47.580 I mean, just go back to him.

00:38:48.640 The local ABC, the local ABC anchor who questioned Kamala Harris over the weekend in an interview

00:38:52.740 and brings up the topic of guns, not by saying you're on camera supporting a mandatory gun

00:38:58.420 buyback program, by saying, share your values on guns.

00:39:02.840 Just talk about guns in general.

00:39:04.980 And when she totally denies that she wants to take anybody's guns, there's no follow-up,

00:39:09.340 Eric.

00:39:09.800 It's just the journalistic malfeasance is ubiquitous.

00:39:15.080 Megan, how about the fact that her vice presidential candidate said that, you know, he obviously ran on

00:39:20.840 a platform, putting tampons in males' bathrooms in, you know, in Minnesota. 0.97

00:39:24.220 I mean, how about the fact that he comes out and says, you know, we're very serious about

00:39:27.020 border security, yet he's the guy that said that if Donald Trump builds a 25-foot tall

00:39:30.680 wall, he's going to build a ladder factory in Mexico to build 30-foot ladders so everybody

00:39:33.960 can come across that wall that Donald Trump just built.

00:39:36.560 I mean, they don't call them on any of this stuff.

00:39:38.960 I mean, this is insanity to the American people.

00:39:41.980 You know, these aren't foreign rights.

00:39:43.720 This is insanity.

00:39:44.760 I guarantee you, if you pull tampons in boys' bathrooms, high school bathrooms, and you 0.98

00:39:49.920 pull that across the country, 99% of people would just say, this is insane. 0.99

00:39:54.720 This is ridiculous, right? 0.97

00:39:55.720 That's right. 0.97

00:39:55.840 Of course, they're not going to bring it in.

00:39:56.380 That's why they have to deny it.

00:39:58.360 Eric, I want to tell you, this is just in.

00:40:01.120 We now have body camera footage of the arrest of this suspect, Ryan Ruth.

00:40:07.700 We'll show it to you now.

00:40:08.960 Here it is.

00:40:09.440 Driver, take two steps to your right.

00:40:17.300 Take two steps to your right.

00:40:21.540 Driver, walk straight back.

00:40:28.920 Keep walking.

00:40:33.400 Keep that long.

00:40:36.360 Keep that long.

00:40:39.440 And that's it.

00:40:46.140 FYI, more information coming in about how long he was at the golf course beginning at

00:40:50.600 1.59 a.m.

00:40:51.540 According to the police affidavit in support of the arrest, he was there.

00:40:56.160 Let's see.

00:40:56.840 Hold on.

00:40:58.300 Yeah, it looks like his cell phone was there from 1.59 a.m. to 1.31 p.m.

00:41:05.340 It looks like they are suggesting at least his cell phone and possibly he were there.

00:41:10.940 The two of them together were there for 12 hours.

00:41:13.520 And there you can see the police doing exactly what they ought to do.

00:41:16.840 So far, he's been charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, a convicted felon,

00:41:20.740 and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

00:41:23.640 The scary thing here is if those charges don't get amped up, this guy could potentially see

00:41:29.000 daylight again.

00:41:30.120 I don't know.

00:41:31.720 But it just underscores the level of danger your dad was facing yesterday.

00:41:35.540 I'll give you the last word.

00:41:36.240 I know you've got to run.

00:41:36.860 Thanks for giving us so much time.

00:41:37.900 Well, those charges are insane, right?

00:41:40.540 I mean, people are charged with the unlawful possession of firearm all the time, right?

00:41:44.000 And OK, fine.

00:41:44.920 You know, the guy didn't have a serial number on his gun.

00:41:46.620 I mean, the guy wanted to assassinate a person who was beloved by hundreds of millions of

00:41:51.040 Americans, a guy who was a great commander in chief of this nation, a guy who's probably

00:41:54.760 the most iconic person, one of the biggest brands anywhere in the world.

00:41:58.820 It was premeditated.

00:41:59.860 He was there in mourning, as you said, likely there for 12 hours.

00:42:02.940 Um, you know, and you get charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, Megan, come on, you

00:42:10.680 know, that will flush its way out. 0.84

00:42:13.000 I'm sure there'll be federal charges and other things, but, you know, I would have thought

00:42:15.780 that those charges would have been a hell of a lot more significant than that.

00:42:18.840 And believe me, if you better believe that they would have been more significant than

00:42:23.000 that.

00:42:23.280 And hopefully more will come.

00:42:26.400 Thank you for all your time.

00:42:27.880 All the best to your family, to your dad, your kids.

00:42:30.600 We really appreciate it.

00:42:31.500 Stay well.

00:42:31.940 Great job with the show.

00:42:32.940 We'll see you, sir.

00:42:33.740 Thank you.

00:42:34.580 Thank you.

00:42:36.540 Unbelievable, right?

00:42:37.860 It's just incredible.

00:42:39.900 There's, there's a real face of a man's son who loves his father and would like him to

00:42:46.560 live.

00:42:47.160 That's really what they're asking.

00:42:49.420 Please stop shooting him.

00:42:52.360 Please stop, stop trying to assassinate him.

00:42:55.740 He is a man and a dad and a granddad and a husband on top of being the Republican nominee

00:43:01.360 for president, the former U.S. president.

00:43:04.280 And there does not appear to be an all hands on deck situation with respect to his security.

00:43:09.920 I haven't heard any announcements from Secret Service or even President Biden was caught on camera today saying, well, we need more people.

00:43:17.260 Secret Service needs, I mean, maybe, maybe they need more people.

00:43:20.020 Congress has to look at it.

00:43:20.880 Would you look, look at this?

00:43:22.060 Look, look at President Biden on camera today.

00:43:23.840 I think they, thank God, the president's okay.

00:43:29.940 I think we've got a full report, something new.

00:43:32.060 One thing I want to make clear, the service needs more help.

00:43:36.060 You can't hear it.

00:43:36.940 Trust me.

00:43:37.760 They ask him what needs to happen with the Secret Service.

00:43:40.760 And he says they may need more agents, more people.

00:43:45.920 You think?

00:43:47.260 I mean, and we're going to have hearings.

00:43:49.920 We'll have Congress look into it.

00:43:51.660 The man's being shot every five weeks.

00:43:55.200 Maybe we could expedite the process.

00:43:57.920 We'll be right back with the EJs. 0.98

00:45:00.160 Joining me now, the EJs, Eliana Johnson is editor of the Washington Free Beacon and co-host of the Ink Stained Wretches podcast,

00:45:11.040 and Emily Jashinsky, DC correspondent at UnHerd and host of Undercurrents.

00:45:15.860 Welcome back, ladies. 1.00

00:45:16.760 Here we go again.

00:45:17.860 Really remarkable to listen to Eric Trump say, on the record, how angry he is about this

00:45:23.300 and how he absolutely thinks there is a possibility this may have had something to do with an insider.

00:45:31.160 You know, he's, I believe him.

00:45:33.280 He's not a tinfoil hat pro.

00:45:34.540 I mean, I was talking with my staff today saying, none of us on this team are conspiratorially minded.

00:45:39.980 We just aren't. 1.00

00:45:40.620 But you're an idiot if you don't at least consider the possibility with two assassination attempts in two months 1.00

00:45:48.040 that almost look like a red carpet was laid out for the attempted assassins. 1.00

00:45:54.200 No one's saying, in fact, it's what happened.

00:45:56.000 It's something that needs to be investigated.

00:45:57.480 But I'll start with you, Emily, on your reaction to Eric Trump's comments today.

00:46:01.540 He should be furious.

00:46:02.640 And, in fact, he should be worried himself, not to be hyperbolic, but the fact that you have a man coming in within four to five hundred yards,

00:46:10.780 not just of a Trump property, but of the president himself.

00:46:14.160 That's what the Secret Service is saying or the FBI is saying, four to five hundred yards from where Donald Trump himself was standing

00:46:19.040 is where a rifle barrel poked out of the shrubbery.

00:46:22.980 I mean, that could be any person on Trump property is in danger.

00:46:26.180 But obviously, people who spend close to spend time with the president in close proximity, his family,

00:46:31.660 you can understand why people would crazy people would think that they should be targeting his family, unfortunately.

00:46:37.720 So this is even bigger than just the president who was democratically elected as the Republican nominee by millions of voters around the country.

00:46:46.060 They have a duty and obligation and they know this as well as anyone to protect him.

00:46:50.680 But, Megan, you had Susan Crabtree on last night, just such a fantastic reporter on this beat, 0.69

00:46:55.280 who said there were modifications made to the protect protection is supposed to be enhanced after what happened on July 13th in Butler, Pennsylvania.

00:47:03.500 So were the protections sufficient?

00:47:06.280 Obviously, the answer to that is no.

00:47:08.240 But now the big question is why?

00:47:10.760 I mean, it is absolutely insane.

00:47:12.880 And that's where some of to your point, even conspiratorial minded, non-conspiratorial minded people would look at this and say it's been nine weeks.

00:47:21.320 How does a guy get within 400 to 500 yards incompetence at a certain point becomes a difficult explanation for that?

00:47:30.800 And so the Secret Service better answer some of these big questions right now.

00:47:34.340 Otherwise, the theories are going to proliferate and it's going to be very hard for them to put the toothpaste back in the tube after that.

00:47:39.920 So, including Eliana, how did this guy, according to the FBI affidavit, which I now have in front of me, I'm reading it here in support of the charges that have so far been brought against this guy, Ryan Ruth.

00:47:51.520 They are saying, and I'll read you the specifics, that the incident happened at approximately 1.31 p.m. yesterday and that they, here's what happened.

00:48:02.500 They pulled the guy over after they caught him.

00:48:06.140 They brought the eyewitness to the scene.

00:48:08.120 The eyewitness said, yes, that's the guy I saw running out of the tree line.

00:48:10.960 They asked him if he knew why he was being stopped, Ruth.

00:48:14.380 He responded in the affirmative, alleges the FBI agent.

00:48:18.100 Then they said during their investigation, they discovered a publicly viewable Facebook post from the guy in which he posted his phone number.

00:48:24.020 They searched the phone number and they did find out that this phone was located in the vicinity of the tree line described where he was lying in wait from 1.59 a.m.

00:48:34.380 That's two in the morning until 1.31 p.m.

00:48:37.640 When the agent saw it, 12 hours, he appears to have stayed there lying in wait to shoot the former president.

00:48:44.700 That's a security failure.

00:48:47.240 Absolutely.

00:48:47.620 There are a lot of unanswered questions about the last assassination attempt on the president, including the shooter's motive.

00:48:56.160 And this opens a whole new set of questions that need to be answered, including my understanding is that this was a last minute decision for the president to go and golf.

00:49:06.080 So how did Ryan, Ralph, Ruth know that the president was going to be there?

00:49:13.640 It appears that his phone was in this area before the president had even made this decision.

00:49:18.640 So there are a lot of new questions to answer.

00:49:20.880 But I do think one thing is clear.

00:49:22.880 The last assassination attempt was due to a failure to secure enough of the perimeter around Trump to make an assassination attempt impossible.

00:49:32.520 So was this one.

00:49:33.880 So it's clear that he needs to be treated like an incumbent president by the Secret Service, which is what the sheriff down in Palm Beach County said on the record publicly.

00:49:45.540 So that should happen now.

00:49:47.780 Yeah.

00:49:48.020 Or we are going to have a dead Republican candidate for president, a dead former president of the United States.

00:49:55.480 And it will tear this country apart, separate and apart from the carnage it would unleash on the Trump family.

00:50:03.480 More with Emily and Eliana after this.

00:50:05.720 They stay with me for the full show and we'll be right back.

00:50:11.100 We are back.

00:50:12.700 The EJs are with me and I am just now putting two and two together, Emily and Eliana.

00:50:20.380 Susan Crabtree was on this show last night, as you point out, Emily.

00:50:23.720 She's there's no better reporter on the Secret Service. 1.00

00:50:26.560 This is her beat.

00:50:27.160 She knows it all.

00:50:28.360 And she told us.

00:50:31.360 About concerns.

00:50:34.000 That.

00:50:35.900 Iran may have infiltrated the Secret Service.

00:50:40.960 She told us I'm pulling up her article here from August 26th.

00:50:45.860 She which she referenced last night.

00:50:47.140 Some U.S. national security officials are convinced that agencies devoted to protecting the security of president.

00:50:53.720 Presidents and other political leaders have been compromised by Iranian intel assets.

00:51:01.240 Three knowledgeable sources told Real Clear Politics.

00:51:04.740 A former senior intel official in the Obama administration told RCP, quote,

00:51:09.760 our counterintelligence vigilance for our security protective services in the U.S., be it diplomatic security services, be it secret service or the U.S.

00:51:21.220 marshals or in the Treasury Department, have been penetrated by people who are wittingly or unwittingly providing tangible support for Iranian network activities in this country.

00:51:36.900 She went on to write, it's unclear if employees in the U.S.

00:51:40.280 Protective agencies are knowingly participating or simply interacting with assets for the Tehran government.

00:51:48.420 Now, that's interesting and could possibly be true.

00:51:54.260 But she also went on to say that two years ago, some U.S.

00:51:59.940 officials became alarmed about Secret Service leaders and their lack of vigilance because an applicant to the Secret Service failed the terrorism portion of the counterintelligence polygraph test.

00:52:16.640 This is a guy auditioning for the secret service, applying for they make you take a polygraph to make sure you're not a foreign spy.

00:52:23.160 And this person failed that portion of the polygraph test.

00:52:27.260 But agency leaders allowed the employee to remain and to become a security clearance adjudicator, someone who decides who will get security clearances.

00:52:40.600 I feel like I'm on an episode of 24 where this is bizarre fiction that could never happen in real life.

00:52:48.720 But I trust Susan Crabtree.

00:52:51.280 Everything she reported about Butler turned out to be true, even though she had significant blowback from the agency and they later wound up admitting it.

00:52:58.080 So she's reporting that there's concern within the U.S. national national security ranks about Iran infiltrating the Secret Service.

00:53:07.640 A former senior official in the Obama administration said it has been penetrated by people who are either wittingly or unwittingly providing tangible support for Iran and a network of Iranians in this country.

00:53:20.260 And somebody who failed the counterintelligence piece of the secret service polygraph test was nonetheless allowed to join the secret service and approve or disapprove security clearances.

00:53:31.560 All right.

00:53:31.760 So all of that brings me to this affidavit that we just looked at a moment ago saying that this guy, unless he just dropped off his phone at 159 a.m.

00:53:41.840 And just then came back to it 12 hours later, unlikely, he was likely attached to his phone and and was lying in wait for 12 hours.

00:53:50.500 How did the guy know that Donald Trump was going to be golfing there?

00:53:55.560 Trump has two golf courses in this area.

00:53:59.040 He's got one at Mar-a-Lago, which is Palm Beach, and he's got this one, Trump International, at West Palm Beach, which is a stone's throw away.

00:54:05.660 It's very close.

00:54:06.360 So how did this guy, if Trump just made up his mind on Sunday morning to go golfing, how did he know that he was going to go to Trump International versus Mar-a-Lago, which is where Trump stays when he's down there?

00:54:18.940 You know, he stays in the resort connected with that golf course.

00:54:22.560 He couldn't have known in advance if Trump made this decision spur of the moment.

00:54:27.180 He couldn't have known in advance unless someone around Trump told him that Trump had maybe mentioned the night before he might do it, that he was thinking about going to Trump International.

00:54:40.300 How would you know?

00:54:41.560 It could have been a complete crapshoot.

00:54:43.100 The guy could have said, I got a 50-50 shot.

00:54:45.080 I'm from Hawaii.

00:54:45.940 I don't live here.

00:54:47.080 I know he loves to golf and he's down in Florida.

00:54:49.080 You know, he could have said that and just taken a chance.

00:54:51.260 You know, I'm going to put the money on red and go to Trump International, lie here and wait for 12 hours.

00:54:57.200 Maybe I'll do the other golf course the next weekend.

00:54:59.140 I don't know.

00:55:01.660 But it does occur to me that if you had somebody who was close to Trump and heard Trump say something like, I think I'm going to go to International tomorrow, that's exactly the kind of thing that could be leaked.

00:55:14.200 I realize this sounds very conspiratorial.

00:55:16.040 It's, by definition, very speculative.

00:55:18.440 But, guys, I don't understand how even the Susan Crabtree piece of this alone was allowed, Eliana.

00:55:26.240 How is that allowed when it is Iran that's making open death threats against our president right now, our former president? 0.79

00:55:34.700 If that's true, it's mind-blowing, very concerning, and merits deep investigation by Congress, of course.

00:55:43.820 But what we do know for certain is that Iran is engaged in very serious efforts to undermine the Trump campaign and to prevent his election.

00:55:54.300 They have succeeded in hacking the email of a Trump ally.

00:56:00.160 I believe it was Roger Stone's email in an attempt to undermine his election prospects.

00:56:05.800 And so they are trying to disrupt the president's efforts at re-election and have succeeded to a certain extent.

00:56:20.440 And I will say we've heard, compared to what we heard about Russia's attempts in 2016 to aid the Trump campaign, we've heard a whole lot less about Iran's attempts to undermine the Trump campaign.

00:56:34.040 Because I think it's a narrative that is unhelpful to Kamala Harris, that Iran does not want her opponent elected president.

00:56:41.820 They would rather have her.

00:56:43.520 And it's one that the mainstream media does not particularly want to talk about.

00:56:48.680 To the other topic you raised, Megan, about how did this person know Trump would be there?

00:56:54.640 Wait, let me just, let me just correct myself here before you make your point, because my team corrected me, that Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach doesn't have the golf course, that the golf course is this one at Trump International.

00:57:08.600 So if he's at Mar-a-Lago, he's likely using this golf course.

00:57:11.780 So that deduction would be rather easy.

00:57:14.080 His other two are in Jupiter, Florida.

00:57:16.000 And then there's another one, I think, in Miami.

00:57:19.040 So that, yeah, Durrell.

00:57:21.160 So that would explain if he knew Trump was at Mar-a-Lago, the likelihood of if he's golfing would be at this particular golf course, which is an important fact.

00:57:28.740 You know, sorry, keep going.

00:57:30.080 I don't know if that changes what you're going to say.

00:57:32.500 Well, to your second point about, is there a leak?

00:57:37.560 Is there an agent inside the Trump campaign?

00:57:41.520 Certainly, you'd have to think that they're rattled, given that Trump made a last minute decision and Ryan Routh had been waiting for 12 hours.

00:57:51.380 Look, if I were a former president, I'd be shaken and quite nervous about that.

00:57:56.420 And you have to think that law enforcement officials are asking them these questions.

00:58:02.460 This should obviously be a part of their investigation and that those who had contact with Trump would be talking about when did he disclose, when did he say he wanted to play golf?

00:58:13.540 To whom was that communicated?

00:58:16.320 Who knew about this?

00:58:17.360 In what order?

00:58:18.300 I have to assume this is being looked into.

00:58:21.260 Who knew?

00:58:22.400 The Jupiter golf course, though, is only 19 miles away.

00:58:27.600 And he does golf at Jupiter.

00:58:29.100 I've mentioned before on the show, I know a kid who is a great golfer and he plays at the Jupiter Trump golf course and he sees Trump there all the time.

00:58:38.420 And Trump, it goes there from Mar-a-Lago.

00:58:40.960 So my original point stands.

00:58:43.720 It's Mar-a-Lago doesn't have a golf course attached to it, but you could go to Jupiter or you could go to Trump International.

00:58:49.460 How did this guy know?

00:58:50.960 How did he place the right bet that Trump was going to golf and that he was going to be at this golf course?

00:58:56.120 We're going to have to learn more about exactly when Trump decided to go there.

00:58:59.720 I'm sure they're asking him exactly when he decided to go there and who he told.

00:59:04.240 I'm sure there's a whole protocol around all of this, but this is just deeply disturbing, Emily.

00:59:10.560 I don't, you know, I don't have faith in the FBI.

00:59:14.040 I share Eric Trump's skepticism about them.

00:59:17.920 And yet they've seized control of the investigation and it's going to be very hard no matter what Ron DeSantis does for Ron DeSantis to have an independent jurisdiction on this because these will be federal charges and the feds will be in charge.

00:59:30.680 Well, and as much as, you know, some of Trump's opponents may not want to admit it, the FBI, I mean, in retrospect, was very, very clearly involved in the Russia collusion investigation.

00:59:46.060 And that's just one thing.

00:59:47.620 So if we put it there, the Russia collusion building that narrative out because, you know, in the words of Peter Strzok, they wanted an insurance policy.

00:59:55.920 And so the idea that just facially Trump supporters in this country or nonpartisan people in this country would trust the FBI to now do a thorough and objective investigation here, whether or not they actually are capable of doing it is a different question.

01:00:10.560 How can you expect the American people, especially Trump supporters, to trust them to do the investigation?

01:00:16.300 I mean, I think that is very, very obvious, which is why Ron DeSantis stepped into the gap.

01:00:20.740 I think that's politically good for him, obviously, but I think it's actually just going to be helpful on the question of substance, period.

01:00:28.060 It's just, you know, the actual plot, the Iranian assassination plot against the president combined with all of Susan's reporting there, which we are hearing very little of in some of these massive legacy outlets that have lots of sourcing in these agencies is incredibly, incredibly important because this man, the suspect, the man who was apprehended,

01:00:52.340 who left that rifle on the scene, along with backpacks and a scope and a GoPro, and it may turn out that he was staking out the Jupiter K, the Jupiter course, and maybe he had been doing this for a long time.

01:01:03.240 We don't know that those questions are also really important, but he was actively publicly seeking to make contacts with foreign governments.

01:01:10.780 And that's where you can imagine, potentially, and we have no idea, but potentially the Iranians and Iranian intelligence looking at this crazy man who had published an e-book suggesting that Iran assassinate Trump,

01:01:25.240 which, you know, who knows, finding that would have been like a needle in the haystack for them, but what they could have seen is this man tweeting repeatedly at foreign governments,

01:01:33.420 going to Kiev, saying publicly he was going to Kiev, going to Taiwan, saying publicly in recent months that he had been to Taiwan.

01:01:39.780 And I just want to read a tweet from Sean Van Diver, who was the head of the Afghan evacuation coalition effort. 0.90

01:01:47.300 And he said, when this guy's idiotic plan, referring to Roth, made it to Afghan evac, our response was strong. 0.93

01:01:53.420 My guidance was to stay the F away from him, that we weren't going to ask Afghans to go fight in this world, 1.00

01:01:57.980 but more they've already done enough and have earned their spot in our country.

01:02:00.660 So just what that means is this guy was known enough among the people who are in these kind of NGO spaces working in foreign military conflicts that he was on their radar and was a known crazy person.

01:02:15.120 Well, let me just add to that, Emily. Let me just add to that.

01:02:17.280 Yeah, he was there's there's zero question he would have been on their radar because not to get too in the weeds,

01:02:22.980 I want the audience to continue following us. But the New York Times interviewed this guy, this shooter, Ryan Ralph, Ralph, a couple of well, a year ago,

01:02:31.120 because he was trying to organize foreign fighters to go fight in Ukraine in what appears to have been some haphazard,

01:02:38.800 hapless attempt to help the Ukrainians win the war.

01:02:42.240 And the New York Times spoke with him. And now the reporter who spoke with him is speaking out about how that came about.

01:02:49.800 And he said in the New York Times today, this is why I found how I found him and why I found him.

01:02:55.580 I was put in touch with Mr. Ralph through an old colleague and friend from Kabul, Najeeem Raheem,

01:03:03.840 through the strange nexus of combatants as one war ended and another began speaking of Afghanistan ending.

01:03:12.240 and Ukraine beginning. This guy, his friend from Kabul, had learned of Mr. Ralph from a source of his in Iran,

01:03:23.380 a source of his in Iran. So the guy in Afghanistan has a source in Iran who knows of Mr. Ralph.

01:03:31.000 And the source in Iran is former Afghan special ops soldier who was trying to get out of Iran and fight in Ukraine.

01:03:40.200 So you have a former Afghani guy, soldier, wanting to get out of Iran and go fight in Ukraine.

01:03:46.740 And this guy speaks to the New York Times and says, you should interview this guy, Ralph.

01:03:52.080 He's trying to get people like me out of Iran and elsewhere to go fight in Ukraine.

01:03:57.240 So that doesn't mean that the Iranians spoke to Ralph, but it does certainly suggest they would 1.00

01:04:04.940 have known about him if it's to the point where you've got Afghan soldiers in Iran contacting New

01:04:10.160 York Times reporters to say, call this guy. He's pulling people out of Iran right now to go fight

01:04:14.780 in Ukraine. There seems to be a little question that the that the Iranians would know of him.

01:04:19.180 I am not blaming this attest assassination attempt on Iran, just connecting some weird dots after the 0.93

01:04:25.280 Susan Crabtree reporting and saying this needs to be thoroughly looked at. Go ahead.

01:04:31.480 Well, as you say, we saw actually stuff like this play out during the Cold War,

01:04:35.040 and a lot of it we learned afterwards or years after it happened. But you see a really vulnerable

01:04:40.000 person who is super anti-Trump or super pro-Ukraine, super whatever it is. He was publicly insane. 0.79

01:04:47.820 I read through all of his posts on X last night. He had like 500 something. I read through all of

01:04:52.340 them, all of his replies. He was tweeting at Bono and all of these different celebrities.

01:04:57.780 You want to buy a rocket from Elon.

01:05:00.100 Right. And he was trying to broker meetings with Kim Jong-un and all of this ostensibly for the cause

01:05:05.920 of peace, as he would have put it. But when you have someone who's doing that publicly and then it's

01:05:11.120 known in the space, you could see how a foreign intelligence agency would look at that and say,

01:05:16.020 this is somebody who could potentially be used. So not to go too far down that rabbit hole,

01:05:20.760 but I do think in the context of Susan's reporting here, those questions are absolutely critical.

01:05:26.640 In addition to, I mean, A, we know that there was an Iranian assassination plot that was recently

01:05:31.000 foiled against Donald Trump. So you put all of that together. I mean, there's that too.

01:05:34.840 That's a big one. That's a big point to mention in the context of this discussion.

01:05:38.700 It's possible. That's all we know at this hour. It's possible. And we need a thorough investigation.

01:05:43.980 I want to pivot because you brought up Peter Strzok, Emily. So Eliana, Peter Strzok is relevant

01:05:51.860 to the next topic that I want to bring up, which is this alleged whistleblower out of ABC News.

01:05:58.820 We do not know whether this thing is worth the paper it's printed on. I want to be respectful of ABC.

01:06:04.800 I do. I, this is, these are extraordinary allegations that we did not touch, you know,

01:06:11.780 for, we didn't talk about the anticipation that the person who broke it on Twitter was building for

01:06:16.820 days. We did not know. We don't know anything about this Twitter poster could be totally legit.

01:06:21.800 We just don't know, have no history of this guy. And I intentionally did not tweet about it

01:06:27.640 yesterday. I just, I'm not sure. And I want to start with that. But, um, the fact that ABC hasn't

01:06:35.060 said anything about this is an outrage. They owe us at least a public denial or the campaign of Kamala

01:06:45.660 Harris. And at this point, Speaker Mike Johnson, who according to the affidavit was sent a copy of

01:06:52.820 this letter breaking this news, um, we reached out to them. They have not provided us with a confirmation

01:06:59.300 or a denial yet. I'm sure they will. Uh, so we are going to talk about it. But the reason I mentioned

01:07:06.340 Peter Strzok is he, of course, is he and his girlfriend, Lisa Page were the two FBI agents who

01:07:11.180 said, Oh, we've got a plan B. We're going to take down Donald Trump one way or the other paraphrasing

01:07:15.580 here. And we've seen their texts, their pathetic little texts, uh, plotting against Trump. They sued 0.99

01:07:22.360 the department of justice for releasing their private texts, even though these texts were made

01:07:26.640 on their government phones. And they just got paid out by the DOJ agency that settles claims that

01:07:33.440 decides when the government's going to pay just to make the case go away. They got paid out a couple

01:07:36.760 million dollars. Well, a man named Tony West used to run that agency within the DOJ, that, that group

01:07:44.840 within the DOJ. He doesn't anymore. Now he works as, or is it on his paid leave at the moment or

01:07:49.200 leave at the moment from Uber as their chief counsel. But the reason I mentioned Tony West and

01:07:54.000 the fact that he ran this division that does the payouts is this man ran that division for a long

01:07:58.800 time. And he happens to be the brother-in-law of Kamala Harris. And according to the ABC whistleblower,

01:08:04.560 this guy who over his tenure running that piece of the DOJ, deciding who is going to get paid out,

01:08:09.860 what cases would be settled, doled out millions to unworthy plaintiffs who happen to be left-wing

01:08:17.180 to curry favor for the Democrats. There was one case, according to the New York Post, which did

01:08:22.080 long reporting on this back in August, they did this reporting in which the plaintiffs were about

01:08:27.720 to lose. And he swooped in, according to the Post reporting, and turned the whole thing around,

01:08:34.620 gave them a multi-billion dollar, a 1.33 billion dollar settlement, which was a, quote, stunning

01:08:43.240 turnabout, even according to the New York Times. And caused much consternation within the DOJ,

01:08:50.980 vehement objections. The department's career lawyer saying, what are you doing? We're going to win

01:08:55.840 this case. It was a bunch of farmers alleging discrimination. And they said, you're settling

01:09:03.080 this because of racial politics. And not only that, you inflated the number of plaintiffs from

01:09:08.780 what are actually here, because you wanted the Democrat law firms to get an even bigger settlement.

01:09:16.100 They wound up gaining more than $130 million in fees. The projected settlement size ultimately

01:09:23.520 ballooned to over $4.4 billion as additional plaintiffs were added, including Native American

01:09:29.580 farmers. And the government's own statistical expert said he was appalled. Quote, if they had

01:09:35.580 gone to trial, the government would have prevailed. It was a joke. I was disgusted. It was simply buying

01:09:43.120 the support of the Native Americans. And the windfall for the plaintiff's lead lawyer was reportedly

01:09:50.300 some $60 million. That lead lawyer was a member of the Obama-Biden transition team.

01:09:56.780 That's a scandal around Kamala Harris's brother-in-law. He's married to her sister,

01:10:02.960 Maya. The reason this is all background to the segment about the ABC affidavit, the alleged whistleblower,

01:10:10.200 is that this whistleblower, the day before the debate, said one of the topics the Kamala Harris team

01:10:18.240 said would be hardcore off-limits for the debate, was anything about Tony West. And not just that,

01:10:26.980 anything about President Biden's mental fitness. And not just that, anything about Kamala Harris's time

01:10:37.620 as the attorney general of the state of California, Eliana. They say she was given, quote,

01:10:46.180 sample questions, not the actual questions, but sample questions, and that she was negotiating terms

01:10:53.920 of this debate like they would fact check Donald Trump only, alleges the whistleblower. That seems

01:11:01.260 a bridge too far, but certainly that they would fact check Donald Trump prior to the debate.

01:11:06.560 What do you make of this bombshell affidavit?

01:11:12.040 All right. I have a few thoughts on this affidavit. The first is that it would explain,

01:11:19.180 I suppose, the wild bias that we saw from those ABC news moderators and what we saw unfold,

01:11:27.480 though I also assume just their general lack of professionalism and democratic bias could have

01:11:34.720 also produced what we saw. Totally.

01:11:37.800 I have to say the dissemination of this affidavit through Twitter puzzles me a little bit coming

01:11:47.000 as it does from a news insider where it's percolated on various Twitter accounts. And it's been hard for

01:11:55.880 me to understand what exactly the provenance of this is and how seriously to take it.

01:12:03.680 So to the whistleblower, if you're out there, there are news outlets that would like to speak

01:12:09.380 with you and assess your credibility. Contact us, ejohnson and freebeacon.com at the Washington

01:12:15.060 Free Beacon, because it's very difficult for me to assess the credibility of the document without

01:12:23.000 knowing who's behind it, what their role in putting together the debate was, how they came to know

01:12:30.080 that ABC was cutting these alleged deals. That being said, if what this whistleblower says is true,

01:12:36.320 it's of course a big scandal and would explain a lot of what we saw. And I did go back and read the

01:12:42.500 New York Times story on the deal that Tony West cut when he was at the Justice Department. And he's not

01:12:49.080 just Kamala Harris's brother-in-law. He's a senior advisor to her campaign, having supplanted her

01:12:54.420 sister, Maya, who played that role in her 2019 campaign to disastrous effect. But West is playing

01:13:02.060 a major role in this campaign and handpicked Eric Holder to do the vetting of Tim Walls, because those

01:13:08.620 two served at the Justice Department together in the Obama administration. And I was very amused in the

01:13:14.320 New York Times story. It says that he was handing out cash payments to minorities who didn't even

01:13:21.560 allege any bias had taken place. He was finding people and basically saying, here's $50,000,

01:13:27.160 much to the outrage of career government lawyers who said this is totally inappropriate.

01:13:34.980 That being said, it would seem weird to me that someone would ask a debate question about

01:13:39.580 Tony West. But it wouldn't seem weird that her team would say he's off limits.

01:13:47.300 It just seems sort of far, that part seems far-fetched to me. The bit about her prosecutorial

01:13:52.600 record and about fact-checking Trump, but not her, that seems much more realistic.

01:14:01.920 But I mean, Biden's mental fitness for her to say, like, I believe she would not want to answer

01:14:07.200 questions about that. I totally, I totally agree. I'm with you on that.

01:14:10.220 I want to say this, somehow, I don't know how, but somehow this could be a massive troll,

01:14:15.400 right? This could be somebody just trying to see who will bite on this story, repeat the

01:14:19.000 allegations. And so we need to be conscious of that. I do not want to put our credibility behind

01:14:24.700 this affidavit at this point. But-

01:14:28.260 And it's worth saying, Megan, that without any kind of whistleblower affidavit, ABC News and the way

01:14:36.300 they conducted that debate is a scandal. Agreed, Eliana. But if any of this affidavit is true,

01:14:46.420 ABC News is finished. I agree.

01:14:49.880 That's why it's a big deal. That's why, I mean, you've got Bill Ackman out there

01:14:54.240 demanding that Bob Iger, I mean, Bill Ackman is nothing to shake a stick at. He's a very prominent

01:14:59.680 American citizen, businessman, and he's demanding that Bob Iger respond to this affidavit right now.

01:15:07.320 And there are many others all over the internet demanding a response. Just deny it. Go on the

01:15:11.780 record and say, this is bullshit. None of this is true. You know, come forward. The whistleblower 0.99

01:15:15.820 should come forward with his, I think it's a he, name and face and make these allegations on the

01:15:21.940 record to your point so we can assess credibility. We can figure out whatever bias he has. He says

01:15:26.440 he's not a Donald Trump supporter. He's not even going to vote for Donald Trump in this election.

01:15:29.900 The thing that's the most persuasive about it to me, Emily, on the other side of the roster,

01:15:33.800 like suggesting that this could indeed be real, is that it's dated September 9th.

01:15:39.180 He says that it was sent certified mail to himself and Speaker Johnson on that day.

01:15:46.400 And so this is before the debate ever happened. And I'm just, I'm just, we've got a little time,

01:15:50.820 so I'm going to read you some of it. Okay. Cause people may want to hear, hear this. He says,

01:15:54.560 um, he's been duly sworn. You do sign an affidavit under penalties of perjury when he's

01:16:00.020 committed a crime. If this is untrue. And if in fact, it's a real affidavit, he says, um, this is

01:16:04.100 my name though. It's been blocked out. I've worked for ABC news, ABC, and then lowercase news,

01:16:08.700 which would be interesting for over 10 years in various technical, technical and administrative

01:16:14.140 positions. Now that right there is interesting. Technical and administrative positions is not a

01:16:19.660 reporter. It's, it could be somebody who is in tech around the journalists who might be present

01:16:29.720 as certain discussions are had. I mean, it, the journalists often kind of forget about the tech

01:16:35.860 people around them. They, they have enough to think about. They don't really think about the

01:16:39.040 supportive tech staff and they certainly wouldn't be hiding conversations from these guys who you

01:16:44.260 generally trust implicitly. But this guy goes on to say that bias is running rampant inside ABC news to

01:16:49.760 the consternation of many of the employees. So maybe some of the tech guys or administrative people

01:16:54.960 started to get upset. Uh, because most interestingly, this guy's claiming he has

01:17:00.280 tapes of the conversations he's alleging in this thing. Okay. So I go on, uh, admit technical

01:17:07.120 and administrative positions. He says he's held since the acquisition of ABC news in 1996,

01:17:13.500 which would have been before his tenure there. I have observed significant transformation

01:17:16.760 in the nature of the news reporting here. Then the changes suggest a shift from unbiased reporting

01:17:21.260 to a model influenced by external factors. For the record, I do not endorse Donald Trump

01:17:25.260 in his capacity as a candidate for president. The intent of this affidavit is to address concerns

01:17:29.340 regarding perceived biases within the news reporting by my employer at this debate that will be hosted

01:17:35.560 tomorrow, September 10th. Uh, skipping over some things, but he says, uh, it's common knowledge

01:17:40.820 that debate moderators, as well as chief executive officers of my, of my employer are well known

01:17:46.280 not to support Donald Trump, which led to several employees speaking up in regards to how fair this

01:17:52.240 debate would be. We were given assurances. The debate would be fair and no one would be given

01:17:57.460 an unfair advantage. It is my belief that contemporary news organizations, including ABC news, no longer

01:18:02.460 adhere to impartiality. Uh, he goes on to say the specific instances of perceived bias are as follows.

01:18:09.820 This is what he's claiming. He knows prior to the debate, the Harris campaign received particular,

01:18:15.240 particular accommodations, including, but not limited to providing of a podium significantly

01:18:21.420 smaller than that used by Donald Trump. Well, I think we all saw that that definitely happened.

01:18:25.080 I don't know that that's inappropriate. She's five foot two and assurances regarding split screen 0.64

01:18:30.480 television views that would favorably impact Kamala Harris's appearance relative to Trump.

01:18:35.440 That's interesting. It was agreed that Donald Trump would be subjected to fact-checking during

01:18:39.960 the debate while Kamala Harris would not face comparable scrutiny. Now that's

01:18:46.800 totally out of line. If that is true, if there is one word of that, that is true that they agreed

01:18:53.800 with her team, they would be fact-checking Trump and, or agreed. She wouldn't be facing comparable

01:18:58.460 scrutiny. These guys are toast toast. The debate moderator, Lindsay Davis is out there already saying,

01:19:04.380 we plan to fact-check Trump. We saw the criticism against CNN for not fact-checking Trump. And that's

01:19:09.340 why we had all these fact-checkers across ABC running down his claims he'd made at interviews

01:19:13.740 or in rallies. Now that would be a normal thing to do as a debate moderator, but you would do it for

01:19:18.120 both sides. I don't know whether they did it for Kamala Harris. I certainly saw that they never once

01:19:22.740 fact-checked her, but this guy's saying there was an agreement that Trump would be subjected to

01:19:29.840 fact-checking during the debate and Kamala Harris would not. Um, and it's unclear to me because he

01:19:40.840 starts the bullets by saying that the Kamala Harris campaign received particular accommodations.

01:19:45.760 And then this is in a second bullet that just says it was agreed that. So what does that mean?

01:19:49.680 Agreed within ABC or agreed with the Harris campaign? Uh, and then he goes on to say various

01:19:55.060 people were assigned to fact-check observations. It was perceived candidate Trump would make during

01:20:00.060 the debate. And then he goes on to say, in fact, Harris campaign required assurances that Donald

01:20:06.320 Trump would be fact-checked checked. This was done via multiple communications with the Harris campaign,

01:20:13.760 whereas the Trump campaign was not included in the negotiations. To my understanding, any rules,

01:20:18.420 negotiations, and conversations pertaining to the debate should have been with both camps involved.

01:20:22.820 And the Harris campaign had numerous more calls, he writes regarding the debate rules without the

01:20:30.200 Trump campaign aware or on the call. So he is saying that this was done directly with, with team

01:20:36.200 Harris, that they were assured they would fact-check Trump. And he alleges she would not face comparable

01:20:42.040 scrutiny. If, if this guy's got that on tape, they're done. They're toast. If they did that,

01:20:49.360 I cannot underscore the height of unethical behavior that would reach. They are likely going to deny

01:20:57.940 this. They're going to be forced to respond to this. They may say this whole thing was a hoax. And

01:21:02.020 I've got to be honest with you, members of the audience, it might be, we don't know. What I see

01:21:06.220 here is what purports to be a sworn statement to this effect. They go on to say the Harris campaign

01:21:12.360 was provided with sample questions that while not the exact questions covered similar topics that

01:21:18.900 would appear during the debate. Furthermore, the Harris campaign imposed restrictions on the scope

01:21:25.080 of questioning, including one, no questions regarding the perceived health of president Joe Biden to no

01:21:31.280 inquiries related to her tenure as AG in San Francisco. That's confused because he was, she was DA in San

01:21:36.800 Francisco. She was AG of the state thereafter. Three, no questions concerning her brother-in-law,

01:21:42.500 Tony West, who faces allegations of embezzling, not quite right, billions of dollars in taxpayer funds

01:21:48.780 who may be involved in her administration if elected. Um, last but not least, there are other

01:21:55.880 things in here. You can go and read it yourself. He signs it. He got it notarized on September 9th,

01:22:02.080 2024 to ensure that the allegations are formally documented prior to the debate. He says, I've also

01:22:07.800 dispatched a FedEx package containing this affidavit sent on December 9th, delivered to my

01:22:13.060 own residence on September 10th, which will remain unopened for potential investigative purposes.

01:22:18.320 I've also sent a certified letter to Speaker Mike Johnson dated September 9th to establish a record that

01:22:23.580 the correspondence was sent before the debate. And finally, he says for further investigation,

01:22:26.760 I have secretly recorded several conversations that will prove that the Harris campaign insisted

01:22:33.260 upon not only the fact checking of Donald Trump, but also insisted on what questions were not to be

01:22:39.480 asked under any circumstances or else the Harris campaign would decline to participate in the

01:22:45.000 debate. The man who broke this online goes by the Twitter handle Black Insurrectionist. I would like 0.65

01:22:52.880 to tell him that technically there, it wasn't an insurrection. He's a Trump supporter, says he's

01:22:59.380 MAGA all the way. Um, and he says there's a transcript of some of these recordings that he begged the person

01:23:07.760 to allow him to release, but the person said, no, he speculated the goal would be to have ABC deny it

01:23:14.320 and then drop the transcript and, or the tape recording. I don't know. This is really specific.

01:23:24.500 And if it's a long con, they went to a lot of effort, Eliana, a lot of effort.

01:23:33.160 Let's hear the tapes. I'm ready for the tapes and to talk to the whistleblower and go from there.

01:23:38.360 You're right. It is a, it is elaborate and specific.

01:23:41.320 How about you, Emily? Do they, do they need ABC and Kamala Harris? I mean,

01:23:47.840 she's accused of cheating. Make no mistake. She's accused of cheating and ABC is accused

01:23:52.500 of cheating here. Do they need to respond, including Bob Iger?

01:23:57.520 Well, yeah, because this is getting so much traction online. I mean, they feel the need to

01:24:01.940 respond to every breath of disinformation. So they might as well respond to this, which is,

01:24:07.080 you know, much more than a single breath of disinformation. It's gone very viral. And so it

01:24:11.160 should be very easy if none of this is true to just immediately say it's not true. And I would

01:24:16.560 say tick tock to both ends, tick tock to the person who leaked this, which I agree to Eliana's point.

01:24:22.340 If you're somebody who works in a major news outlet like this, you would imagine they would be sort of

01:24:27.960 media savvy enough to not drop it to a kind of random Twitter account. But at the same time,

01:24:33.420 there could be reasonable explanations for why that happened. So tick tock on your end,

01:24:37.440 if you wanted to wait for ABC to issue a denial to release the transcripts and the recordings,

01:24:42.660 let's see them. And on ABC's end, if this is not true, just prove it's not true. It's so easy.

01:24:47.600 It's so easy to just go on the record and have people implicated in this go on the record.

01:24:52.020 So I'm curious to see how it develops. And I would just underscore a couple of points you just made as

01:24:56.940 well, Megan, that there were a couple of conspicuous things that happened in the debate. One,

01:25:02.800 no question about Biden's health. I did find that to be extremely interesting. And no question about

01:25:08.480 Kamala Harris's prior knowledge of Biden's health, her position on Biden's health. And the fact of

01:25:13.900 the matter is the last debate was with a different candidate and they switched out a candidate at the

01:25:17.700 last moment. It's one of the biggest stories in political history. It didn't get a question

01:25:20.840 at the debate. It was going to be the only debate after that happened. I mean, it's just insane.

01:25:25.380 So that to me is very strange that I thought that was conspicuously absent from the debate. 0.92

01:25:29.820 There are a lot of dumb questions, but that one was, was big. Also the four on zero fact check,

01:25:35.520 which would correspond with this affidavit. I thought was weird. All of the, I mean,

01:25:39.800 usually just for the sake of covering their butts, they'll throw in a fact check of the other

01:25:44.500 candidate. So it was somewhat odd and would seem to correspond with the affidavit that they literally

01:25:49.000 did not do a single fact check on Joe Biden. And I remember also ABC news was hit with a huge

01:25:55.060 leak when Amy Robach's tape about Jeffrey Epstein, the network killing her story went to Project

01:26:01.320 Veritas just a couple of years ago. And that was a camera on camera recording. So it could potentially

01:26:07.400 even be the same person. Somebody who works on the tech side had a copy of that. These things do

01:26:12.560 leak. There are tech people, production people that can make these recordings of people when they think

01:26:17.800 the cameras are off or when they think, you know, the, it's not on air, or maybe they just record on

01:26:22.560 their phones while people are reeling and dealing on their own cell phones on set. They're not mic'd

01:26:28.640 up yet, but they're getting mic'd up. And so they're talking to somebody on the phone. Those

01:26:32.300 things absolutely can happen. So it's not implausible that that would have been the case in this

01:26:38.980 position. And Donna Brazile, obviously we know about the famous example of Donna Brazile sending 1.00

01:26:43.660 questions to the Clinton campaign when she worked at CNN. Right. Yeah. Hey, that's right.

01:26:51.160 ABC, ABC news hired her knowing she had cheated to help the Democrat at a presidential debate. 0.99

01:26:59.420 And then Trump, I've been marveling about this for months and now, and then, yeah,

01:27:04.580 and now they're got another debate after doing that. I mean, taking somebody who cheated in a

01:27:08.460 debate, admitted to it and then hiring them and then getting another debate. I mean, these things

01:27:13.400 are insane, but it's sort of the set of circumstances that the Trump campaign is forced and Republicans,

01:27:18.100 not just Trump, but Republicans everywhere are forced to deal with. This is a massive corporate

01:27:22.100 media outlet. This is Disney. They don't really have a choice to just not work with them. I mean,

01:27:27.280 I think they should. It's easy for me to say, but like, it's insane the levels of corruption that we

01:27:32.180 already know about. So we personally, we reached out to ABC news. We, the Megyn Kelly show reached out

01:27:39.360 to ABC news and we have no response from them whatsoever. And we reached out to Speaker Johnson's

01:27:45.480 office. Again, they're not yet in a position to confirm or deny. I'm sure they're checking their

01:27:49.920 mail, right? Like I, who knows? I'm sure they get a ton of mail and they're probably trying to go,

01:27:54.180 but this guy seems like an unknown, maybe in some stack of like constituent mail that they probably

01:28:00.200 want to go through. I think we'll get more information from them, but ABC news cannot bury the story by

01:28:06.220 simply not responding to it. It's serious and specific enough that a response is warranted.

01:28:13.020 And frankly, the same for Kamala Harris's team, which has been accused of unethical behavior here

01:28:18.760 and cheating. And truly given the fact that this would absolutely devastate ABC news, if any piece of

01:28:24.180 this turns out to be true, if they have tapes of them agreeing to this stuff with Kamala Harris on

01:28:27.760 her team, um, it really, it will be the end of ABC news. I mean, it, it will be the kind of scandal

01:28:33.880 that could actually shutter an organization. It won't because the left controls media, but it could 0.98

01:28:39.120 and it should, um, they have to respond, at least deny it on the record. We've tried to reach out

01:28:46.300 to our sources there to say, Hey, you know, what, what do you make of it? Uh, so far, no one's denying

01:28:52.100 it on the record. So that's what we need. That's what we would like to see. Or maybe they'll admit

01:28:56.120 some piece of it. But the fact that this guy says he's got tapes, I think is slowing down the

01:29:01.240 response if this is true. So I'd like to see more of a push to make them respond. Go ahead,

01:29:07.480 Emily. Well, I was just gonna say the other thing, the other hugely important piece of this puzzle is

01:29:11.480 Kamala Harris has a very good longtime friend who Harris has accredited with setting up her and Doug

01:29:16.480 Emhoff as a couple who is an executive at ABC news. Yep. And allegedly recused herself from the 0.52

01:29:21.820 debate. But again, the plausibility of this, if you're just sort of imagining the hypotheticals is

01:29:26.320 that Tony West has this channel to her and some of this stuff just got transmitted casually,

01:29:33.840 socially, totally off the record. And then somebody repeated it, something like that.

01:29:37.600 But there are all kinds of channels that this information can sort of flow through

01:29:41.180 to result in something like this. So again, no idea, but hypothetically, when you have

01:29:46.620 connections at the executive level like that, it is easy to back channel, uh, demands and negotiations

01:29:53.020 like this. Yeah. Who knows? Maybe this person's administrative at that level up at the Dana Walden

01:29:58.980 level. We just, we have no idea. Um, I do feel the need to underscore the shooter attempted assassin

01:30:06.600 of president Trump could just be some random nutcase that is possible. Could just be some random loon 0.95

01:30:12.060 who hated Trump. This affian in this affidavit could be trolling us all along with, with respect 1.00

01:30:20.380 to this guy who goes by black insurrectionist who we don't know who it doesn't have like a big history

01:30:24.860 of breaking huge news stories. Um, and so you've got to be very wary. You know, we get punked all

01:30:31.060 the time on the internet on X and with people who have ill motives. So those of us who are in the

01:30:37.060 straight news reporting business, we do have to be careful. And as I say, we were on the fence about

01:30:42.020 reporting these allegations at all, but given the specificity and the fact that it's growing now with

01:30:46.940 some prominent business leaders and others directly demanding that Bob Iger respond and given the

01:30:51.440 stakes of what's being alleged here, pressure needs to be brought to bear on ABC news. A response

01:30:57.260 is required. Uh, and same to you, Kamala Harris. All right, standby ladies. We're going to take a quick 1.00

01:31:03.000 break and we will come right back. What a news day. I'm Megan Kelly, host of the Megan Kelly show on

01:32:03.600 There's so much more to get to. We're going to go over. Emily can stay over. Eliana sadly has to

01:32:14.080 leave us, but we'll try to get in as much as we can. Love you ladies for sticking around. And

01:32:17.940 as always, like how many times have we been doing this where some massive event has happened this

01:32:22.360 summer? And one of our favorite shows with the EJs gets kind of smushed. I want to tell you that on

01:32:28.880 the subject of, is there some sort of a conspiracy who was involved in this alleged, you know, well,

01:32:34.380 in this actual assassination attempt, there is, uh, the sheriff down in the Mar-a-Lago in Mar-a-Lago

01:32:41.140 area, the Palm beach area had a presser earlier today, and it's getting a lot of attention because it

01:32:47.460 appears that you can hear him questioning whether this is part of a bigger conspiracy. Let's listen.

01:32:56.600 To my knowledge, does he have any ties to Martin Canada? I think the answer to my knowledge,

01:33:01.000 the answer is no, I have no knowledge. I think what we're finding out is not from this area,

01:33:05.340 which of course raises the bigger question is how does a guy from not here get all the way to

01:33:13.200 Trump international, realize that the president, former president of the United States is golfing

01:33:20.800 and is able to get a rifle in that vicinity. I think that's the question the FBI, the Secret Service

01:33:27.660 or laser focused on today. Is this guy part of a conspiracy? Is he a lone gunman? If he's a lone

01:33:33.580 gunman, President Trump is that much safer because we have him. But if he's part of a conspiracy, then

01:33:39.780 this whole thing really takes on a very ominous tone. Well said, Eliana. He's exactly right. Because

01:33:46.520 if we don't ask honestly, whether he's part of a conspiracy, it's just going to happen again.

01:33:51.860 Well, it is heartening to hear that law enforcement officials are sort of thinking the same way

01:33:57.080 along the lines of what we discussed, which is how on earth did this guy know this when it was a

01:34:03.300 spontaneous decision by the president? And that we can't take for granted that this guy was acting

01:34:10.340 alone. And that this is very much at the forefront of their minds. Wait a minute. Sorry, Eliana. I was

01:34:16.960 just getting something in my ear as you were finishing that up. Debbie Murphy, can you repeat

01:34:20.140 what you just said to me? Okay. Okay. Debbie Murphy is telling me that the New York Times is already

01:34:29.000 going after folks like Dan Bongino and Charlie Kirk. Dan Bongino, a popular right-wing podcaster,

01:34:37.200 wrote on Rumble, the video streaming platform, that there was a distinct possibility. There may be

01:34:41.600 more going on behind the scenes than it appears like possibly a mole inside the secret service

01:34:47.620 offering no evidence. Charlie Kirk, a right-wing podcaster and founder of Turning Point USA,

01:34:53.380 conservative group, asked his followers to find the supposed links between Mr. Ruth and anyone in

01:34:59.660 U.S. military or intel circles. Then they go on to say researchers who study misinformation have long

01:35:05.960 feared that falsehoods and conspiracy theories from right-wing sources have worsened extremism

01:35:10.980 and polarization in the U.S. Oh, my God. And then they blame Elon Musk and Twitter. I mean,

01:35:17.180 this is so irresponsible. This is what happens, Emily. You literally ask questions. And I'm not

01:35:24.120 talking about the ass covering, just asking questions, just asking questions that people use 1.00

01:35:29.080 online to espouse the most insane bullshit. I'm talking about legitimately asking who was behind 0.99

01:35:35.860 this guy, if anyone, which is a normal and responsible thing to ask in the wake of a second

01:35:41.860 attempted assassination. And what happens? They get shamed by the New York Times as being pushers of

01:35:49.640 misinformation who push falsehoods and conspiracy theories from the right-wing,

01:35:54.300 who worsen extremism and polarization. This is maddening.

01:36:00.740 And listen, they're not even going to deal with, as you just brought out, Susan Crabtree's

01:36:05.200 reporting. They just want to dismiss and hand wave Dan Bongino as like a crazy talk show host,

01:36:09.860 even though he actually has a lot of knowledge in the space, probably more than their reporter in

01:36:13.260 this case does.

01:36:13.860 The Secret Service.

01:36:15.380 Yep. And their sources want to protect the Secret Service, obviously, which is what we saw the

01:36:21.900 Secret Service itself doing when it denied a lot of Susan's early reporting after Butler that would

01:36:25.880 eventually be confirmed and was, you know, it's held up very well. And so they'll just try to find

01:36:32.240 someone they can dismiss as a crank so that they don't have to deal with some of the more serious

01:36:36.700 reporting that their sources don't want to deal with. So their sources will point them in one

01:36:40.660 direction and say, go after Bongino. And then they won't deal with somebody who is writing in real

01:36:45.520 clear politics, very serious reporting that is outdoing their reporting, quite frankly.

01:36:51.580 So these smears, I mean, one of the things that you hear from like actual tinfoil hat conspiracy

01:36:55.980 theorists, but it's legitimately true, is that the term conspiracy theory was popularized as a way to

01:37:02.860 discredit conspiracy theorists and has sort of taken on this pejorative meaning. But a lot of times what

01:37:08.860 we see happen in retrospect is that conspiracy is used to describe people, multiple people acting

01:37:14.580 in concert, you know, conspiring behind the scenes. And it turns out that it wasn't, you know,

01:37:19.740 conspiracy in the pejorative sense, but was conspiracy in the literal sense that there were

01:37:23.660 people who were working together. And here we have a gunman who was not supposed to have a gun,

01:37:28.260 who scraped the serial numbers, allegedly off of the gun. He was a he was a felon. He was a convicted

01:37:33.440 felon many times over. So how does he get the gun? He's now being charged with that. One very natural

01:37:39.380 question would be, how did he obtain a gun if there was nobody else? Did somebody give it to him?

01:37:44.940 Yeah, that's what Eric Trump was saying. And how did he parade it all the way across the highway

01:37:48.560 and across this, you know, grassy area leading up to the fence? Like, or did somebody leave it there?

01:37:53.340 Emily's going to stay with me. Eliana's got to run. She's a very busy lady. She does a lot. 1.00

01:37:57.060 And she's got to hopefully take a call from the whistleblower any moment. Emily,

01:38:00.260 thanks for sticking around. OK, so I want to talk about what happened with J.D. Vance on CNN

01:38:04.360 over the weekend as Dana Bash seems determined to ruin her reputation as a journalist at every 1.00

01:38:12.860 appearance she makes, whether she did find it, that that debate that they hosted in June.

01:38:19.620 Her interview of Harris Walls was a disaster on every level. And then she has these sit downs

01:38:27.180 with J.D. Vance, who does her the courtesy of going on her show. And all she does is reveal her

01:38:32.620 bias. He came on this past weekend. The left is so upset about the cat and dog meme. They don't give

01:38:39.600 a shit about the dead women and children, but they're very pissed off that they can't find a 0.99

01:38:45.800 dead cat or dog directly eaten by a Haitian. That's that's where they've decided to plant their flag. 1.00

01:38:53.600 So she has J.D. Vance on the show. And I'm going to show you a little exchange. It was very long. It

01:38:57.660 was 17 minutes, which we're not going to show. But it began with her saying, OK, the mayor of

01:39:05.720 Springfield said to said J.D. Vance, all these federal politicians that have negatively spun

01:39:13.100 our city, they need to know they're hurting our city. And it was their words that did it.

01:39:20.620 She will later claim that this is him saying that J.D. Vance was responsible for bomb threats.

01:39:26.860 That is not what she said. And that is not what the mayor said. He said he said politicians that have

01:39:32.580 negatively spun our city need to know they're hurting our city. And it was their words that hurt 0.94

01:39:38.640 their words. Bash says to J.D. Vance, why are you putting your constituents at risk? It's amazing how

01:39:49.540 it works. OK, so that's how she teased it up to J.D. Vance. And this is what happened next.

01:39:56.620 Instead of saying things that are wrong and actually causing the hospitals, the schools,

01:40:01.700 the government buildings to be evacuated because of bomb threats, because of the cats and dogs

01:40:07.020 thing, why not actually be constructive and helping to better integrate that?

01:40:13.340 I want to start with something you said, which I think is frankly disgusting and is more appropriate 0.99

01:40:17.660 for a Democratic propagandist than it is for an American journalist. There is nothing that I have

01:40:22.900 said that has led to threats against these hospitals, these hospitals, the bomb threats and so forth. 0.87

01:40:29.040 It's disgusting. You just accused me of inciting violence against the community.

01:40:34.500 I agree. You don't want to talk about policy. No, what I want to talk about what I want to talk

01:40:39.480 about instead of about the fact Senator, it was your distraction. I noticed that when you had Kamala 0.86

01:40:44.920 Harris and Tim Waltz, you gave them multiple choice answers to the questions that you asked and you

01:40:49.960 allowed them to answer the questions. You accused me of causing a bomb threat. Doesn't that mean you

01:40:56.000 should shut up about the residents of Springfield? Don't you realize you're engaged in basic propaganda

01:41:01.420 to silence the concerns of American citizens? I was quoting, I was quoting the actual mayor

01:41:07.200 of Springfield, Ohio. But he did not accuse me of inciting a bomb threat. He just didn't.

01:41:13.760 And she hung on to that like a dog with a bone, suggesting that he had. Good for J.D. Vance,

01:41:21.920 Emily. I mean, you can't do it much better than he's been doing it. And that interview is further

01:41:26.580 proof. But my God, how she dug in trying to make him responsible for the bomb threats. By the way,

01:41:33.400 we've checked. We don't know who called in the bomb threats. We have zero idea who's behind that as of

01:41:38.220 this hour. But Dana Bash is super clear that it was done as a result of J.D. Vance and Donald Trump.

01:41:45.360 Which, by the way, could be incentive for people on the left to call in bomb threats,

01:41:50.480 knowing that it'll be pinned immediately by someone like Dana Bash to J.D. Vance. So we have no idea.

01:41:56.000 She has no idea before she used her time on a Sunday show to question him in that way. And, you know,

01:42:00.740 I would add to this. I went back and looked at mainstream media, so-called mainstream media coverage

01:42:06.280 of Springfield, Ohio, before the cat and dog meme started to take off. The New York Times did do

01:42:13.620 a story in early September about what had happened in Springfield, Ohio. But there was basically no

01:42:18.880 coverage of what was happening to this 50 plus person town, roughly, that had gotten an influx of

01:42:23.660 20,000 migrants. And this is what makes it actually all very interesting, because it raises the question

01:42:29.840 for Republicans and all of the communications folks that work on the Republican side. And, you know,

01:42:35.100 I talk to many of them all the time. They're going to look at this and say, how are we supposed to

01:42:40.100 get any corporate press attention, any so-called mainstream media press attention to a 20,000

01:42:46.480 person influx into a 50,000 plus person town, 58,000 person town in Ohio, if they don't want

01:42:53.380 to cover it until they can make hay about cat and dog memes. Because J.D. Vance had been talking

01:42:57.680 about Springfield, Ohio, going back months. There was a horrible tragedy in Springfield, Ohio,

01:43:02.360 about a year ago. The media would not pay attention to it. And so the only time they

01:43:07.440 can pay attention to it is when it becomes a negative story, not about Democrats, not about

01:43:12.640 the Biden-Harris administration that had created these conditions since the pandemic for this mass

01:43:18.400 influx of people into this town in Ohio. But they will talk about it when it becomes a negative

01:43:23.520 story for Republicans. I would be the first to say, I don't think Trump and Vance have necessarily

01:43:28.660 handled the story perfectly at all from a communications perspective. But then if you're

01:43:33.900 them, you look around and you say, well, what the hell am I supposed to do? My constituents have

01:43:37.640 been calling me for years saying they have problems and I can't get anybody to pay attention

01:43:41.920 to it until something outrageous happens and you can make it a negative story about me.

01:43:47.460 I mean, it's just insane. It's insane. If you go back and look at the lack of coverage leading up to

01:43:51.660 what, like last week, other than that one New York Times story. They don't care. They want those

01:43:57.920 stories to be buried and they're counting on the top candidates not to say anything that would

01:44:02.680 unearth them and call too much attention to them because they undermine the whole plan of filling

01:44:07.580 the country. She says to him, here's a couple of things. Okay. First, she says the Clark County

01:44:14.460 Sheriff in the Ohio department of natural resources reviewed 11 months of nine one one calls.

01:44:19.940 And she says they only identified two instances of people alleging Haitians were taking geese out of

01:44:27.060 parks. They found zero evidence to substantiate those claims. Now, let me explain to you something,

01:44:33.400 Dana bash evidence includes eyewitness testimonials and nine one one calls. The fact that they then

01:44:40.820 couldn't find the men who took the geese and find them eating goose does not prove that it didn't

01:44:49.020 happen. What random citizen months before this became a political issue in the news would just

01:44:54.900 try to punk nine one one by being like, I saw guys steal geese and cut their heads off or whatever

01:45:00.820 they are alleging in these calls. Like it's absurd. They found zero evidence to substantiate. I'm sure 0.71

01:45:06.840 they did a full fledged investigation of the geese stealing claims, the absurdity of her assurance

01:45:14.100 that it didn't happen because of that. Then she goes on to say to JD. So instead of saying things

01:45:19.240 that are wrong and actually causing the hospitals and the schools and the government buildings to be

01:45:25.400 evacuated because of bomb threats. So there, she directly pins it on him. Instead of saying wrong

01:45:31.140 things, she's the arbiter and causing bomb threats, uh, because of the cats and dogs thing, 1.00

01:45:36.880 why not actually be constructive and helping to better integrate these people into the community?

01:45:42.780 Right. And you hear JD Vance say, you're disgusting. What you just said is disgusting. 0.98

01:45:48.540 There's nothing I've said that has led to threats against these hospitals, these bomb threats and so

01:45:53.880 forth. That's disgusting. And all I could think was she's so sure it's JD Vance raising attention 0.63

01:46:00.460 on this story. What happened? What actually happened last week that got the national attention that

01:46:07.200 caused Trump to know about this story? It was the town hall, the town council meeting they held in

01:46:15.720 Springfield, Ohio, which made shocking news locally and nationally as the citizens of Springfield came

01:46:23.460 one after the other to the microphone saying, my mother-in-law got run over and killed by one of these.

01:46:29.460 I can't go out on my front lawn because I'm an elderly woman and I'm terrified. I can't go to

01:46:33.860 the grocery store without them seeing, without them opening up jars, the spaghetti sauce, sticking

01:46:38.780 their hand inside and eating it and then leaving it behind all the complaints of the residents of

01:46:42.960 Springfield. Why couldn't that be what potentially led to some death threat by somebody who'd had it

01:46:50.280 with the nonsense? Why does it have to be the words of Dana Bash's least favorite politicians?

01:46:55.600 Right. And, you know, Americans all over the country and for years, not just recently, but have

01:47:01.560 been working hard to integrate new influxes, influxes of people from different parts of the

01:47:07.740 world. I mean, this is you know, there there are a lot of Americans who are trying. But at a certain

01:47:12.120 point, again, we're talking about 20,000 people. I mean, the scale of this influx in Springfield is wild

01:47:17.720 and decent people who are trying, but have testified personally at town hall meetings

01:47:23.140 and in other ways that it's a strain. They've told the New York Times, for example, that it is a strain

01:47:29.200 on housing costs, that it's just been a strain on the school systems. So while the cats and dogs stuff,

01:47:35.800 I would say, has neither been proven nor thoroughly debunked, what we can see very clearly is that this

01:47:42.360 is a community that is struggling because of mass migration facilitated by the policies of the Biden

01:47:48.240 Harris administration. So the fact that Dana Bash and a lot of the corporate press has now spent a week

01:47:55.300 frothing over how this is J.D. Vance and Donald Trump's fault and, you know, now tying bomb threats

01:48:03.360 to them and all of that stuff, while they have not, then seriously asked Kamala Harris or Joe Biden

01:48:10.680 over and over and over again, and in very personal terms, to talk to that woman who testified at the

01:48:16.520 town hall meeting about people in her yard that that frightened her because they're strangers who

01:48:21.140 are camped out in her yard about people who are taxpayers who are being priced out of housing because of

01:48:28.040 this. Why aren't they being made to look those people in the face and say, you pay my salary and,

01:48:35.500 you know, I still think it's on you to integrate 20,000 people, not 5,000, not even 10,000, 20,000

01:48:42.860 people into your town. There's never a human interest in the other direction that is pressing the

01:48:48.940 candidates. I mean, it's not like Megan, you've said earlier, there are people and Trump tried to

01:48:53.300 raise this at the debate. There are people who are being every every person I've talked to

01:48:57.860 people in Mexico. I've gone to the border, onto the Mexican side, and they will say every single

01:49:02.760 person who crosses the river or crosses the border has paid. This is mass human trafficking. People

01:49:07.880 are suffering on the way. You rarely ever, ever, ever, ever, ever hear the media ask Democrats to

01:49:14.560 answer for the human interest, the tragedy when it comes to that. Nothing, nothing. In fact,

01:49:20.240 we get, we get, we get rich fat cat celebrities trying to weigh in and tell us there's really

01:49:29.200 nothing going on here. Look someplace else. I give you John legend, just a local Springfield guy. You

01:49:36.560 know, he's just living next to the 90 pound older woman who says I'm terrified, too scared to go out

01:49:43.020 of my front lawn. He's just like her. Listen to him. So you might imagine there are some challenges

01:49:49.400 with, you know, integrating a new population, new language, new culture, new dietary preferences,

01:50:02.980 all kinds of reasons why there might be growing pains. I grew up in the Christian tradition. How about

01:50:10.800 we adopt that ethos when we talk about immigrants moving to our communities and don't spread 1.00

01:50:18.920 hateful, xenophobic, racist lies about them? Let me show you where John legend lives with Chrissy

01:50:27.900 Teigen. See if you tell, you tell me whether he can relate to the residents of Springfield. He says

01:50:32.660 it's his hometown. This tree actually is an olive tree that used to be alive for real, but it's not

01:50:39.340 alive now. It was formerly alive. We embalmed it. We embalmed it. This is Luna's bedroom, guys. And

01:50:45.780 how cool is this bedroom? She has a slide that she goes both up and down. Miles loves cars, if you

01:50:51.740 can't tell. The centerpiece is, of course, the Jeep bunk bed. Okay, now we're in the backyard.

01:50:58.720 We've got a pool. We've got miles. We've got AstroTurf. We've got a water slide over there.

01:51:05.540 Bye. Sorry. Take care. We've loved having you. Bye.

01:51:09.140 Oh, my God. A slide inside AstroTurf. The embalmed olive tree. But he's just like the rest. They

01:51:24.640 should just suck it up and do the Christian thing and accept the migrants, Emily. 0.99

01:51:29.920 Oh, yes, of course. Yes. And the celebrity tabloid publications, they don't need to amplify 0.65

01:51:38.640 what John Legend is saying, by the way, but they do for the sake of mining cliques. So they didn't

01:51:44.180 have to amplify the fact that he has no expertise here at all. He has no stake in the Springfield

01:51:50.180 community. There's really no reason for them to write stories amplifying him shaming, implicitly

01:51:55.540 So he totally gets everybody, and he totally gets how they should totally be fine with every one of

01:52:00.260 those 20,000 migrants. Yeah, of course. And you know what? I was thinking just in the past week,

01:52:05.240 the last time that I was in Mexico, I was talking to a ton of Haitian migrants because it was during

01:52:09.840 a wave of Haitian migration. And I was on the other side of the border wall in Reynosa and Matamoros,

01:52:15.620 and I was talking to people, talking to Mexican NGO workers, and they said the Haitians are known for

01:52:21.340 being hard workers around here. They're all picking up jobs. And that was sort of what the

01:52:25.320 factory owner in Springfield, Ohio said to New York Times, I wish I had 30 more Haitian workers

01:52:30.540 to fill these positions because they're great workers. And I remember also talking to the

01:52:33.840 Haitians themselves. They were trying to describe why it was that they were camping in a cartel city

01:52:38.800 for months on end, just waiting for American border policy to change. And they were trying to explain

01:52:43.200 it. And at one point I said, are you trying to describe the American dream? And they all lit up and

01:52:47.780 they were like, yes, the American dream, the American dream. But they were economic migrants. 0.80

01:52:51.880 They were making false asylum claims in many, many cases. They didn't have the credible fear.

01:52:58.800 They weren't fleeing political violence because they had mostly lived in Brazil and Argentina since

01:53:04.020 the earthquake in 2010. They'd gone to have safe, middle-class lives. They just wanted the,

01:53:10.100 quote, American dream. That's awesome, amazing news. But 20,000 people in a town is crazy. So of course

01:53:17.540 there are going to be social and economic strains. And the media doesn't take those seriously.

01:53:21.860 They just latch on to these neither proven nor debunked outrageous stories about cats and dogs,

01:53:27.440 which again, I think Republicans could have handled much better. But the media through like the media

01:53:33.080 will just take those and not talk about any of the serious issues and act as those discredit all of

01:53:38.660 the other serious issues. And the Biden administration has barely gotten questioned for years about

01:53:42.720 asylum. There's, there's, there's, there's the one father of the 11 year old boy who was killed on a

01:53:46.680 school bus along with 20 other children who were hurt by a Haitian migrant. And the father's out

01:53:51.680 there saying, I wish my son had been killed by a 60 year old white man because I don't want this being 1.00

01:53:56.620 used to attack the Haitians. With all due respect to this father, that's not for him to say because 0.97

01:54:02.140 other people's 11 year old boys are still alive and in danger. Given the way these Haitians are driving 1.00

01:54:08.900 everyone on both sides of the aisle is admitting on the record that it's a massive problem, the driving

01:54:13.540 that they're doing, endangering the children and the community members, not to mention all the other

01:54:18.300 things that we just discussed. So with all due respect to that father, he does not get to tell us

01:54:22.680 that we can't discuss the fact that his child was killed by one of these migrants. This is not about

01:54:28.220 only his poor child, God rest him. It's about everyone's children's children. And, and so it must be

01:54:34.620 discussed. There's a responsibility to discuss it. And secondly, this is how corrupt the media is. 0.59

01:54:40.300 So Chris Rufo, um, he's, you've been fighting the DEI war and doing a great job of it. He's actually not

01:54:47.800 a conservative, but they always try to dismiss him because he's a conservative actor, but he's not.

01:54:51.160 Anyway, he put out a reward for anyone who could actually show him evidence of cats being killed

01:54:58.740 and eaten, uh, in Springfield or the area. And sure enough, he got it. He got a picture, which he reported

01:55:07.960 on X over the weekend. It's disgusting. It shows it pretty clearly to me shows two cats skinned and on a

01:55:17.060 barbecue. I mean, literally on a barbecue, you couldn't ask for more. Here's the, a soundbite of the guy who

01:55:24.400 brought it to Chris Rufo as the evidence. It had been taken prior to Chris Rufo's call

01:55:28.800 for submissions. Well, that was one of the conditions of his, you know, his bargain,

01:55:33.960 but watch this. Sorry. It's disturbing.

01:55:35.620 Yo, what is this? They got on the grill.

01:55:40.820 We blurred it. Well, you can see it online.

01:55:42.740 There go a cat right there. His ass better get missing, man. Look like his homies on the grill, 1.00

01:55:49.800 man. What the fuck? So Debbie Murphy, even though she's a heartless Canadian, didn't think he could 1.00

01:55:58.720 handle that. It was probably the right call, Debbie. Not even, it's dark. She has her limits

01:56:05.900 only with animals. Um, so it's disgusting. It looks like very clearly two cats. Um, and listen to this.

01:56:13.280 Okay. So CBS news decides to go report. And this is in Dayton, which is the town right next to

01:56:21.860 Springfield. Oh, but it's not Springfield. Okay. All right. And I guess technically these are Africans 1.00

01:56:28.060 from the democratic Republican Republic of the Congo. They're not Haitians. So, okay, whatever. 0.98

01:56:35.560 The average American is like, there's effing cats on the barbecue steps from Springfield. So CBS reports

01:56:43.780 and says police in Dayton have said, there's no evidence that immigrants are eating pets except my

01:56:50.620 eyes. My eyes are the evidence. Then they say the man filming this footage alleges without evidence

01:56:59.080 that they are cats. What? Then they say the new allegation prompted backlash and skepticism with many

01:57:08.060 users saying the carcasses look more like chickens. Tastes like chicken. No, they don't look like

01:57:19.240 chickens. We've all cooked chickens. We know what chickens look like. Then they went to veterinary

01:57:25.620 experts, veterinary experts, veterinary experts for their opinion on what type of carcass is on the

01:57:32.200 grill. They did not include any feedback from the veterinarians in their article, just that they

01:57:38.340 have reached out. I, I can't believe the media is doing this. And again, ignoring the dead people

01:57:49.980 as though they're not the story. The only thing they need to do is disprove that those are two

01:57:56.360 cats on the Barbie. I'm so mad at Rufo for forcing us to talk about this, Megan.

01:58:04.420 That video, honestly, I think is hilarious by the way. The narrator is so funny. Um, but your point is

01:58:12.760 completely correct that why were they not spending the last year debunking? You're going to places like

01:58:19.060 New York city, Washington, DC, where they have their bureaus and talking to working class. Um, 0.93

01:58:25.000 often by the way, black people in those cities or in cities like Springfield, why weren't they

01:58:30.520 sending people there for the last year to debunk claims from high profile Democrats, including the

01:58:36.440 president, the vice president and elected officials in those democratic areas or in those states? Uh,

01:58:43.380 why weren't they debunking all of their claims that everything was fine and that this migration was

01:58:48.420 just legitimate asylum claims. It was a wave of people with legitimate post COVID asylum claims,

01:58:54.140 fleeing COVID economies and political violence and gang violence. But why weren't they spending the

01:58:59.580 last couple of years debunking all of those claims? Why are they just debunking these claims?

01:59:04.780 They've done so little to actually dispel the myths and lies, frankly, that have been propagated by

01:59:10.980 Democrats that are so much worse. I mean, listen, like what I've said this, I just don't think

01:59:16.440 Republicans handled this perfectly, but at the same time, oh my gosh, Democrats have handled this

01:59:21.160 issues 20 times worse, 200 times worse. And there's been so little debunking of the nonsense

01:59:27.060 that they have spewed that is so much more serious, which is possibly why Republicans now feel the need

01:59:32.800 to go outrageous with it because they're not being heard when they say anything else. I mean,

01:59:38.100 it's just insane. And there is, by the way, to your point, there is evidence of this. It's called

01:59:42.100 first person testimonies that have been raised before it became a controversy.

01:59:46.140 That's what J.D. Vance kept trying to tell her. He's like, I have constituents who have come to me

01:59:49.740 and said this is happening. He said of the, you know, let's say I get a dozen complaints,

01:59:53.760 10 we could verify easily with other evidence, a couple we couldn't, but this is out there and

01:59:59.180 we've seen it ourselves. And for the racism claim, the guy who said it at the town hall that they took

02:00:03.280 the ducks, he said, out of the town pond and beheaded them, he's black. The guy doing this video 0.99

02:00:10.000 is black. So it's like, all right, is everybody just like, they're all racist. I guess that's 0.99

02:00:14.420 it's just ridiculous. Um, they normally in an interview where you're going to go tough on a

02:00:21.220 guy like she did on Vance, you might end it with one freebie for him. Like there's to your point,

02:00:28.200 like there's no question. There is a problem with the amount of immigrants, 10.4 million we've had 1.00

02:00:33.400 under Joe Biden. Uh, and it's more than that. Cause that doesn't count the gotaways in certain

02:00:37.680 communities. It was whatever, give him something so he can offer his POV on the actual problem.

02:00:44.480 And she did have the opportunity to close it with something strong. This is where she went.

02:00:49.880 Sought 17. Do you, do you condemn the proud boys, even if it's just 12,

02:00:55.200 even if it's just one marching in Springfield?

02:00:59.660 Dana, I condemn all white supremacists. I'm obviously not. I'm, I'm married to a nonwhite person.

02:01:05.960 I don't like these people, but I think that we have to keep our focus not on 12 marchers going 0.60

02:01:11.800 down the street, but on the fact that thousands of residents have had their lives destroyed

02:01:16.840 by Kamala Harris's policy. I find this very unusual Dana, that the American media is more interested

02:01:23.160 in a bunch of losers marching down the street than they are in the fact that Kamala Harris has 1.00

02:01:28.200 made these people's lives worse. I condemn violence and threats of violence. I'm glad to hear that you 0.91

02:01:33.720 condemn it. That is very important. The school bar obnoxious. It's just so smug and patronizing as

02:01:45.320 though she is the arbiter of what is an appropriate level of condemnation. That's very important.

02:01:51.080 I mean, give me a very important, very important. Do you condemn Dana bash the migrants who have

02:01:57.160 killed an elderly woman with the car and an 11 year old boy and who are, you know, shitting in public, 0.96

02:02:03.320 whatever else they, they are alleged at that town hall. It was dark. Do you condemn? How about you?

02:02:07.480 It's very important policies that led to it. Does she condemn the policies that led to it? I'd love to

02:02:12.220 know. Yeah. I just also, while I have you, why didn't you ask Kamala Harris about this when you had her?

02:02:16.820 Just curious. Why didn't you, is there a reason you didn't bring this up? You didn't think this was

02:02:20.240 important. I guess just, just asking, asking for a friend. Um, he was exactly right. Look at the

02:02:25.280 difference between the way she, she treated Kamala Harris in her sit down with her and the way she 1.00

02:02:30.380 treated JD Vance in that interview. It's disgusting. And it's an utter fail as a journalist. Then JD 0.89

02:02:37.040 Vance trying to raise the point that nobody would cover this until he started talking about it. Then,

02:02:42.640 then we had the town hall and all that trying to say like, you guys don't cover this. You don't cover

02:02:47.520 these stories used to turn a phrase about creating a story. And it was very clear what he meant.

02:02:53.360 She jumped all over it. And now the left is jumping all over it, including Kamala Harris, 1.00

02:02:57.460 totally dishonest. Watch. Dana, the evidence is the firsthand account of my constituents who are

02:03:04.280 telling me that this happened. And by the way, I've been trying to talk about the problems in

02:03:08.820 Springfield for months and the American media ignored it. The American media totally ignored this stuff

02:03:14.500 until Donald Trump and I started talking about cat memes. If I have to, if I have to create stories

02:03:21.300 so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that's

02:03:26.860 what I'm going to do, Dana, because you guys are completely letting Kamala Harris coast. 0.99

02:03:32.440 You just said that this is a story that you created. So, so that the eating dog thing is not,

02:03:38.760 we are creating, we are, Dana, it comes from firsthand accounts from my constituents.

02:03:45.060 I say that we're creating a story, meaning we're creating the American media focusing on it.

02:03:49.560 I didn't create 20,000 illegal migrants coming into Springfield.

02:03:55.120 And it was all over X yesterday. J.D. Vance admits creating the dogs and cats story.

02:04:02.960 It's amazing. I mean, Kamala Harris too. They, they tweeted that they, there is absolutely no

02:04:08.100 tether to the facts anymore. They don't care about even trying to remain factual. What's so annoying

02:04:13.960 is, as I said, it was, we discussed earlier, there are some stories where you're getting punked or

02:04:18.920 people intentionally mislead you. And as a journalist, you have to be cautious, but you're not going to

02:04:23.880 be perfect all the time. Like that is just a reality of life in 2024, but that is right there.

02:04:30.260 It's in the same answer where, where he explains what he meant. And so any misrepresentation is

02:04:37.820 intentional and the media has crossed over to willingly. And she has intentionally misrepresenting

02:04:44.600 the actual words that are spoken on a television program.

02:04:48.060 And I try to like, imagine your J.D. Vance in this position and you have constituents who have been

02:04:53.900 coming to you for a year plus with concerns about it. You try to raise those concerns. You maybe do it

02:04:59.620 outrageously, by the way, as all politicians, Democrats, Republicans do. And then immediately

02:05:04.840 it gets pegged to neo-Nazis who have apparently spread the same thing. So because they've spread

02:05:10.740 it, then you must be responsible for it. Despite the fact that you are in an interracial marriage. 0.99

02:05:16.820 And despite the fact that there's been like very little conversation about the humanitarian concerns

02:05:22.860 in the other direction, immediately for raising all of this, it becomes a week-long cycle debunking

02:05:28.620 your claims and then tying you to neo-Nazis. And then your interview gets taken out of context in

02:05:36.120 another way immediately, not just by random Twitter users, but by corporate media outlets. I saw Rolling

02:05:41.560 Stone do this. X's AI, at least on my end, falsely summarized it as saying J.D. Vance admits he

02:05:48.360 made up the reports, which is not what happened. If you were watching it in full context and watching

02:05:53.500 it live, it's pretty clear what he actually said. And he even went on to clarify it and flesh it out.

02:05:59.560 So that headline is, from a journalist perspective, malpractice, period. It is misleading. It is a

02:06:05.860 disrespect to your audience to run with it because you are willfully misinforming them. You did not do

02:06:11.900 your due diligence as a journalist. You're misleading. So anyone who used that headline, any journalist who

02:06:17.720 promoted that headline, any outlet who promoted that headline is malpractice, full stop. And that's

02:06:23.040 what a Republican politician gets. This is Democrats, politicians, they're hyperbolic, but a Republican

02:06:28.520 politician, you get this week of garbage heaped on top of you, some of which you are not in any way 0.98

02:06:34.820 whatsoever responsible for. Neo-Nazis, false claims that you made, you admitted to making stuff up, 0.99

02:06:40.900 all because you tried to raise the concerns of your constituents that have been brought to you for a

02:06:46.240 year plus that you couldn't get anyone to give a damn about, a damn about, until some memes became

02:06:53.380 popularized. And it's crazy. Yeah, that's exactly right. And, and by the way, so the, the, the media

02:06:59.880 did have time to go try to track down the woman who posted the Facebook post that had like a triple 1.00

02:07:06.400 hearsay, like allegation about somebody stringing up a cat, like a deer and tried to find out what this

02:07:15.340 person actually knew. But the story, while it had the woman be like, well, I heard it from an acquaintance.

02:07:21.200 This is an attempt to debunk. It doesn't actually debunk. Here's what they say. Uh, the woman behind 0.99

02:07:26.720 an early Facebook post spreading a harmful and baseless claim as NBC news, it's baseless. Ignore

02:07:31.780 those two cats on the grill in neighboring date and whatever, um, says she had no firsthand knowledge of

02:07:40.060 any such incident. Now we know that because the Facebook post itself makes clear she's using triple

02:07:47.680 hearsay. It's, we know she had no firsthand knowledge. They go on to say, it looks like, um,

02:07:53.600 Erica Lee, I'm trying to make clear. So it looks like, I can't remember. I can't figure out who's

02:08:00.760 the poster. Erica Lee. It just exploded into something. I didn't mean to happen. I'm not a racist.

02:08:06.600 Everyone seems to be turning it into that. And that was not my intent. The neighbor, Kimberly

02:08:12.140 Newton said she heard about the attack from a third party. Newton said, okay. So it was Erica

02:08:20.420 Lee's Facebook post saying, I heard this terrible thing. I heard this terrible thing. And the source

02:08:26.480 from which she heard it is Kimberly Newton. So Kimberly Newton says she heard about the attack from a third

02:08:33.620 party. Newton said Erica Lee's Facebook post misstated her story and that the owner of the

02:08:41.760 missing cat was an acquaintance of a friend rather than her daughter's friend. Now I'm just asking,

02:08:49.540 how does that debunk that it was strung up on a tree? Like I'm very open-minded to this being complete

02:08:56.840 bullshit, but I just, I don't see it in NBC's attempt to describe it as complete bullshit. 0.98

02:09:04.900 I'm so glad you brought that up. Cause I was literally reading the same thing last night. It was 1.00

02:09:08.100 so frustrated because I had the exact same reaction to it. I was like, this isn't, this is just her

02:09:14.380 saying she's uncomfortable with the attention that has been brought to the post. It's not debunking

02:09:19.620 anything, frankly, but again, it's sort of like, you can see if you have confirmation bias as a so-called

02:09:26.460 neutral reporter, how this comes across your desk and you interpret it in a way that just totally

02:09:33.860 conforms to your preexisting confirmation bias about how this is all going to be debunked. So you see

02:09:39.240 this woman saying what she said and you then turn it around, regurgitate it as a report with the framing

02:09:45.560 of it being debunked. And you know, what should happen in that case, first of all, is it should

02:09:49.940 genuinely have neutral reporters who aren't, you know, overwhelmingly anti-Trump, anti-Vance, pro-mass

02:09:57.000 immigration, of course, but then B, you should have editors who catch that stuff. You should have 0.95

02:10:01.680 editors who say, well, wait a second, I'm reading the exact words here that never happens anymore

02:10:06.740 because they all have the same confirmation bias. That's exactly right. They, they just want it not to

02:10:12.220 be true. I, on the other hand, don't give two shits, whether it's true or not. Like I actually 0.98

02:10:16.620 think what the real story is the dead people. Um, I do find this whole thing rather amusing though,

02:10:22.000 because it's outing the bias of all these left-wing organizations who are just determined to disprove

02:10:27.640 it. Even when you see two dead cats on the grill, tastes like chicken. That's we consulted with a

02:10:34.960 veterinary expert. That's where we are in this campaign. They're so self-serious over the dumbest 1.00

02:10:42.760 things. Right? I like, it looks like chicken to me, doctor, doesn't it? Don't you see a chicken 1.00

02:10:47.260 there? I mean, minus the feathers and the tail. Okay. Um, final thing, the comment by Trump, which is now

02:10:56.980 almost a week old about they're eating the dogs, they're eating the cats has gone totally viral.

02:11:05.900 It's everywhere. The left tried to make memes out of it to mock him. And it got completely turned into

02:11:11.880 a pro Trump mean meme that everybody has been sharing and forwarding and they've effectively

02:11:18.960 gotten they're eating the pets into the mind of pretty much every single American in this country.

02:11:26.380 Here are some examples.

02:11:29.240 They're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They're eating,

02:11:34.400 they're eating the pets. They're eating the pets. This guy's my favorite. This dog.

02:11:39.820 That live there. They're eating the cats, eat the cat, eat, eat the cat. They're eating

02:11:45.060 The towns don't want to talk about it because they're so embarrassed by it.

02:12:11.260 In Springfield, they're eating the dogs.

02:12:14.100 they're eating the cats they're eating the pets and this is what's happening in our country

02:12:20.060 they're eating the dogs they're eating the cats they're eating the pets and this is what's

02:12:26.620 happening

02:12:26.900 that's amazing the elephant sound and this here's how i'd like to toss it to you um scott adams

02:12:40.220 who's the guy behind the dilbert cartoon and just a brilliant guy my god scott adams is truly like

02:12:47.700 scary smart in his insights into us americans and the way we behave and it's because well for a

02:12:54.640 bunch of reasons but one of which is he took a class in hypnosis and came early on to understand

02:12:59.740 the power of persuasion and that's why when everybody dismissed trump as a joke in 2015

02:13:04.640 scott adams the dilbert guy was like nope he's gonna win he's gonna win the whole thing and this

02:13:11.600 is back when trump was just nobody thought that and he was like you watch and sure enough he won

02:13:16.260 okay so scott adams tweeted out something interesting and i'll read it as follows

02:13:20.000 i'm revising my debate scoring my first impression was a tie which i called a harris victory but the

02:13:27.420 only thing i recall after the debate today is they're eating the dogs visual scary viral memorable

02:13:36.440 repeatable and directionally correct in terms of unchecked immigration risk it is the strongest play

02:13:43.740 of the election trump won the debate i gotta stop underestimating his game trump had no base hits

02:13:51.920 in the debate but his long ball is still rising incredible what do you make of that

02:13:58.200 there might be something to it because honestly the more it reminds me of a problem that republicans

02:14:05.640 legitimately have on abortion which is that the more that it's being talked about whether the story

02:14:11.340 is positive or negative for any given republican candidate it's reminding voters that they generally

02:14:17.120 disagree with what they believe the republican position on abortion is which is generally what

02:14:22.720 the corporate press is telling them it is but um in this case the more that immigration is being

02:14:28.900 talked about and debated the more that you're debating whether migrants have have frightened people

02:14:34.300 in a small town in ohio if that story is true i mean the the if the sort of trump details of it pan

02:14:41.800 out to not be true i think what scott adams is getting at is that the the sort of effect of it

02:14:47.620 the emotional psychological uh truth in it is real and so just you know that's not to say people should

02:14:53.980 lie or whatever as a campaign strategy the fact of the matter is they do but the point is that it just

02:14:58.740 hits people as true because at its core the kind of psychological effect of it is true and the more

02:15:04.700 people are debating whether they're eating the pets at their dinner table or at the pta meeting and

02:15:09.960 soccer sideline or on social media the better it is for trump and republicans because honestly the the

02:15:16.600 core of the story which is that a small town in ohio or mid-sized town in ohio has been utterly

02:15:21.000 overwhelmed by a mass influx of migrants with vast cultural differences that is true and people don't 1.00

02:15:27.460 like it so a that generally is true and b people disagree with biden and harris on it in a massive

02:15:34.240 animating way so when you combine those two things i mean a week out it's looking like this line is

02:15:41.040 iconic and the more people think about and talk about the line honestly the better it is for trump

02:15:45.320 and republicans that might be like it might be some political gymnastics to get there but

02:15:48.960 how does the mainstream media so-called not understand this they should get that this is

02:15:55.900 actually a very bad issue for her like stop repeating it because it brings up the issue of

02:16:01.300 migration and immigration legal and illegal and makes people frustrated and upset they don't like

02:16:07.780 this issue this is not a good issue for the democrats and that's going to be known now either as the

02:16:12.720 debate in which he said they're eating the dogs they're eating the cats or the debate in which abc news

02:16:19.360 allegedly conspired to cheat and throw a presidential election in the direction of one candidate we'll see

02:16:26.200 whether the whistleblower affidavit it comes through but at best they've got cheating in

02:16:33.000 that scenario as opposed to trump's meme about the dogs this is one of the reasons why i love the new

02:16:38.860 york accent i love it whenever whenever anybody talks like that my mom and dad kind of talk like

02:16:43.760 that which i love because my dad grew up in brooklyn and my mom grew up just north of new york city

02:16:47.160 and it's an amazing it's just something something warm about it and trump it's one of the things that

02:16:51.440 makes him you know likable because he talks like that emily joshinsky you're a pleasure thank you so

02:16:57.820 much for hanging in there you did long form duty today we appreciate it anytime i did thank you

02:17:03.120 boy we started with the an attempted presidential assassination and eric trump and we ended on the

02:17:09.460 dogs this is we get you've gotten the full panoply of news today and i'm looking at a packet and a

02:17:16.560 sot list sound on tape that i i didn't even dent you guys but tomorrow we will dent it we're gonna

02:17:33.600 going to have ian hersi ali who's got some thoughts on the haitian migration and she will go to the places

02:17:41.060 that you're not allowed to go uh so we'll look forward to that see you guys tomorrow
