00:00:00.000 Hello, this is your favorite skinny boy, Michael Knowles.

00:00:03.640 The latest Daily Wire backstage, Impeach This,

00:00:06.460 is a full meal of everything you need to know

00:00:08.820 about the absolutely nothing impeachment hearing.

00:00:11.980 Join Ben Shapiro, Andrew Klavan,

00:00:14.180 and the God King, Jeremy Boring and I,

00:00:16.560 as we feed you all the hot takes

00:00:18.380 on the vacuous impeachment hearing,

00:00:20.420 which happens to be sandwiched 0.98

00:00:22.240 between several screeching Democratic lunatics 1.00

00:00:25.620 with the combined IQ of a sesame seed bun. 0.99

00:00:28.400 It's basically a nothing burger.

00:00:30.480 We will give you that and so much more.

00:00:32.760 Take a listen.

00:00:40.140 Welcome to the Daily Wire backstage, Impeach This.

00:00:44.560 I'm Jeremy Boring, known around here as Jeremy Boring.

00:00:47.940 That's with a lowercase j and a lowercase b.

00:00:50.760 We're glad you've tuned in.

00:00:57.720 Well, thank you everybody for being here

00:01:08.600 and thank you especially to the teleprompter operator

00:01:10.880 who has not rolled the teleprompter.

00:01:12.700 Oh, there we go.

00:01:16.080 Now, for those of you at home,

00:01:17.340 you may think they don't have real ideas.

00:01:19.120 See, their lines are being fed to them

00:01:21.060 by billionaires who are trying to influence our election.

00:01:24.140 Fair enough.

00:01:24.580 Thank you guys for tuning in.

00:01:27.540 Is this the end of the Trump presidency?

00:01:29.280 Do the Democrats have the goods

00:01:30.640 or is it just Russian collusion round two?

00:01:33.380 Will we ever find out how many whistleblowers

00:01:35.520 it takes to screw in a light bulb?

00:01:37.040 Answer, Epstein didn't kill himself.

00:01:39.600 Joining me to speculate on all of that and more,

00:01:42.460 Ben Shapiro, Andrew Klavan, Michael Knowles,

00:01:44.980 and the lovely, we always say that she's lovely,

00:01:47.800 sometimes I think it's patronizing.

00:01:49.840 Oh, wow.

00:01:50.740 But she is so... 0.99

00:01:51.360 I hadn't thought of that.

00:01:51.960 But she is lovely.

00:01:53.420 Elisha Krause joining us via satellite

00:01:55.480 from wherever it is that they keep her.

00:01:58.000 We'll be taking questions from Elisha.

00:01:59.820 That was a little patronizing.

00:02:01.960 We'll be taking questions from you, the people.

00:02:06.100 By way of Elisha, if you go over to dailywire.com

00:02:09.580 slash subscribe, become a subscriber, support us.

00:02:12.460 We need the support.

00:02:13.380 We need the support in particular

00:02:14.460 because as we move closer and closer to the election,

00:02:17.200 the pressure on advertisers to remove their content from our shows.

00:02:22.660 This isn't just us.

00:02:23.380 It's everyone involved in conservative media is so immense.

00:02:28.720 Also, for the platforms,

00:02:30.880 when you have candidates like Elizabeth Warren

00:02:32.820 flat out saying she's going to break up the big tech platforms,

00:02:36.060 basically if...

00:02:37.440 I'm actually not sure what the quid pro quo here is.

00:02:40.000 It's, if I become president,

00:02:42.160 I will break you up for helping the other guy become president.

00:02:45.960 It makes no sense to me.

00:02:47.680 Nevertheless, they're all under a lot of pressure

00:02:49.120 and the only way that we can stay on the air

00:02:51.000 and keep bringing you the content that you...

00:02:53.840 I mean, do they want it?

00:02:54.560 So richly deserve.

00:02:55.500 Do they want it?

00:02:56.480 The content you deserve.

00:02:58.600 Is if you become a subscriber.

00:03:00.960 And we are running a special right now.

00:03:04.440 Did you guys see this?

00:03:05.460 It's actually pretty hilarious.

00:03:06.540 Elizabeth Warren,

00:03:07.820 who may actually become president of the United States,

00:03:11.580 decided that one thing that she,

00:03:15.440 that Joe Biden had that she didn't have

00:03:18.340 was, you know, accusations of plagiarism.

00:03:21.300 And I...

00:03:21.740 And that's a...

00:03:23.300 That's a been a legal property, yeah.

00:03:25.680 And so she released a billionaire tears mug on Shopify

00:03:30.800 in, as though all of America does not know

00:03:35.720 that the market on tears, coffee vessels,

00:03:40.680 has been filled by the Daily Wire,

00:03:42.980 leftist tears, hot or cold tumbler.

00:03:45.020 You can get yours right now.

00:03:46.800 Go over to dailywire.com slash subscribe.

00:03:48.560 If you use the promo code WARRANTEERS,

00:03:50.620 that's one word, WARRANTEERS,

00:03:52.660 you will get 20% off of our Insider Plus

00:03:55.320 and all access membership packages.

00:03:58.000 And most of all,

00:03:59.040 you will help keep us in fancy watches and fine cigars.

00:04:02.620 Thank you for being here.

00:04:03.600 We're going to talk about some politics.

00:04:05.920 Oh, wait, they already rolled the opening graphic.

00:04:07.240 They did.

00:04:09.720 Guys, I had a whole list of things

00:04:11.920 that would be fun to talk about.

00:04:13.320 And then I thought,

00:04:14.280 well, there's one thing

00:04:15.200 that won't be fun to talk about,

00:04:17.320 but will actually be the only thing

00:04:19.000 that anyone in America cares about.

00:04:21.200 And that's impeachment.

00:04:22.340 Right.

00:04:22.580 So we just have to do it.

00:04:23.480 Okay, so let's do this thing.

00:04:24.780 For day two.

00:04:26.000 Yeah, day two.

00:04:26.720 So the public hearing started yesterday.

00:04:28.660 Everybody recognizes that this is all

00:04:30.460 a made-for-TV special,

00:04:31.740 that they actually have presented no new information,

00:04:34.400 nor will they provide any new information.

00:04:37.360 The New York Times actually had their TV critic

00:04:39.780 write a review of the coverage yesterday.

00:04:42.600 They're full-on TV critic.

00:04:44.120 One of their columnists was talking about,

00:04:45.780 it was a news columnist,

00:04:46.540 it wasn't even an analysis columnist,

00:04:48.400 was talking about the reassuring gray hair of Bill Taylor.

00:04:51.320 And I thought to myself,

00:04:51.780 that is the first time I've ever heard gray hair

00:04:54.380 described as reassuring,

00:04:55.560 usually it forecasts death.

00:04:57.240 But sorry, Charmin,

00:04:58.100 but the fact is that,

00:05:00.000 you know,

00:05:00.340 the left is so obsessed

00:05:03.820 with the idea that somehow something has changed here,

00:05:06.220 that they're going to just pretend

00:05:07.520 that something has changed.

00:05:08.440 Now, obviously, as we all know,

00:05:09.540 nothing has actually changed here.

00:05:11.060 If they didn't have the goods before,

00:05:12.320 they don't have the goods now.

00:05:13.200 If they did have the goods before,

00:05:14.300 they have the goods now.

00:05:15.240 You know, my inclination is that

00:05:16.340 they certainly do not have the goods.

00:05:17.740 And the biggest hole in the testimony yesterday,

00:05:20.620 because two people testified,

00:05:21.660 Charged Affair, Bill Taylor,

00:05:22.900 who is the highest ranking American official in Ukraine,

00:05:26.020 as well as Kent, George Kent,

00:05:28.300 who is the undersecretary of state,

00:05:29.820 who is dealing with Ukrainian affairs.

00:05:31.220 They both testified.

00:05:32.340 And the Republicans kept hammering home

00:05:33.800 the only point that really matters.

00:05:35.740 And that point is,

00:05:36.800 you guys have never even talked to Trump.

00:05:38.240 You don't know Trump.

00:05:39.360 You don't know Trump.

00:05:40.600 I mean, you guys are playing seven degrees of Kevin Bacon

00:05:42.240 with the president of the United States

00:05:43.900 while attempting to impeach

00:05:44.720 the president of the United States.

00:05:45.920 And the only reason that that would not be

00:05:49.580 a dispositive argument, really,

00:05:51.740 is because there are some people

00:05:53.320 who have directly talked to Trump

00:05:54.160 who have not talked yet, right?

00:05:55.000 The only testimony that's going to matter

00:05:56.340 if you actually think that any of it matters,

00:05:58.180 which I tend not to at this point,

00:05:59.740 but if you actually think any of it matters,

00:06:01.380 the testimony that you're waiting for

00:06:02.460 is Gordon Sondland,

00:06:03.180 who actually spoke with Trump,

00:06:05.300 had conversations with Trump,

00:06:06.720 has switched his testimony already, right?

00:06:08.420 He is testifying next Wednesday.

00:06:09.780 And then there are a bunch of people

00:06:10.600 who are sort of on deck

00:06:11.960 who have been subpoenaed

00:06:14.460 but have not responded to the subpoena

00:06:15.940 and have filed lawsuits.

00:06:17.820 And that would be John Bolton

00:06:18.620 and Mick Mulvaney

00:06:19.580 and Rudy Giuliani.

00:06:20.920 Those three,

00:06:21.760 because if you haven't talked to Trump,

00:06:23.640 you basically don't matter

00:06:24.640 in this conversation

00:06:25.500 because the entire conversation

00:06:26.980 is about motive, right?

00:06:28.260 I'm the only one

00:06:29.000 who's been saying this for months.

00:06:29.860 There's the whole group of people

00:06:30.880 who have been saying,

00:06:31.880 well, the call was absolutely perfect, perfect.

00:06:34.120 Okay, it wasn't perfect.

00:06:35.520 Can we just stop with this?

00:06:36.400 It wasn't a perfect call

00:06:37.480 because, come on,

00:06:38.660 it wasn't like,

00:06:39.440 that's not what Trump does, okay?

00:06:40.840 Perfect is not in Trump's wheelhouse.

00:06:42.920 He doesn't even aim at perfect.

00:06:44.260 Right, that's right.

00:06:45.420 It's just perfect as a description

00:06:46.380 of everything that he thinks he does.

00:06:47.820 But what is obviously

00:06:49.520 the most plausible explanation

00:06:51.040 of all of his behavior,

00:06:52.540 and this is the case

00:06:53.060 I've been making for a long time,

00:06:54.760 is that when he says to Ukraine

00:06:56.800 in that phone call

00:06:57.820 that what he would like as a favor

00:06:59.740 is investigations into Burisma and Biden,

00:07:02.800 he would like investigations

00:07:03.520 into CrowdStrike,

00:07:04.340 he would like investigations

00:07:05.120 into Ukrainian interference

00:07:06.800 in the 2016 election, 0.99

00:07:08.340 that he's just naming a bunch of crap 0.99

00:07:10.040 that he thinks about Ukraine 1.00

00:07:11.160 because people have been feeding him

00:07:12.380 information about Ukraine

00:07:13.400 and this is the way

00:07:14.080 the president's brain works.

00:07:15.040 He basically has a bunch of note cards

00:07:16.320 and the note cards

00:07:17.060 have seven words on them each

00:07:18.160 and if you give him a topic,

00:07:20.360 if you say global warming,

00:07:21.440 then what comes out

00:07:22.620 is destroy economy Chinese hoax 1.00

00:07:24.060 and if you say to him,

00:07:25.820 Ukraine,

00:07:26.360 the first thing that comes out to him

00:07:27.400 is interfered in the 2016 election,

00:07:29.080 Burisma, Hillary Clinton, 0.59

00:07:30.680 CrowdStrike, right?

00:07:31.280 It's just whatever comes out of his head

00:07:32.960 and so it is quite plausible,

00:07:35.480 I think it is in fact

00:07:36.220 the most plausible explanation

00:07:37.220 that if he was thinking,

00:07:39.300 I don't feel like giving aid to Ukraine

00:07:40.660 because who else is paying for this aid?

00:07:42.260 Only we're paying for the aid.

00:07:43.340 I'm not into it.

00:07:44.280 Also, people keep saying

00:07:45.700 Ukrainian corruption.

00:07:46.740 Well, when I think of Ukrainian corruption, 0.95

00:07:48.100 here are some things

00:07:48.720 that I think about

00:07:49.320 and then it just comes out.

00:07:50.380 I think this is actually really important

00:07:51.600 because I think we all agree,

00:07:55.340 I can't speak for Michael and Drew.

00:07:57.660 I think we all agree

00:07:58.660 that if we had listened to the phone call

00:08:00.320 between Donald Trump

00:08:01.400 and the Ukrainian president

00:08:02.760 and he had said,

00:08:04.320 we're going to help you out,

00:08:05.800 the Europeans should be doing more

00:08:06.880 but first,

00:08:08.200 we need a favor.

00:08:09.020 However, I've been trying to get a hotel

00:08:10.880 in downtown Kiev

00:08:12.240 for like 22 years 0.99

00:08:14.200 and you guys are so corrupt 0.97

00:08:15.900 that I can't get my permit. 0.97

00:08:17.660 Could you get on the phone

00:08:18.780 with my personal lawyer

00:08:19.880 and my daughter

00:08:20.520 and get that worked out for me?

00:08:22.560 I think we would all agree,

00:08:24.400 definitely an abuse

00:08:25.500 of presidential power.

00:08:26.880 I would be willing to call it

00:08:28.380 an abuse of power.

00:08:29.620 Yes, I would.

00:08:30.500 Definitely an abuse

00:08:31.060 of presidential power.

00:08:32.620 Now, he did say,

00:08:34.040 I want a favor,

00:08:34.640 he used that word

00:08:35.220 and he did say,

00:08:35.800 talk to my personal attorney

00:08:36.900 and he did say

00:08:38.160 in the list of things

00:08:40.020 that he rattles off,

00:08:41.400 Joe Biden,

00:08:42.580 something in which

00:08:43.440 he has a personal vested interest.

00:08:48.180 The mitigating factor

00:08:50.200 is Donald Trump.

00:08:51.560 The way that I see it,

00:08:52.680 Donald Trump is not a guy

00:08:54.380 with a grand strategy.

00:08:56.040 He has some big ideas

00:08:57.840 that he generally points himself toward.

00:09:00.560 Winning,

00:09:02.500 building big things,

00:09:03.700 building big things,

00:09:04.200 not losing,

00:09:05.100 an isolationist,

00:09:06.020 generally an isolationist foreign policy.

00:09:08.940 These are things that we know

00:09:10.020 that he generally cares about

00:09:11.220 and he generally still

00:09:12.020 steers in the direction of.

00:09:13.740 But electoral strategy,

00:09:15.900 there were casting notices

00:09:17.020 for Trump TV

00:09:17.860 going out

00:09:18.720 the night of the election.

00:09:20.520 Donald Trump does not have,

00:09:22.180 he's never,

00:09:22.940 I think,

00:09:23.480 in his 40 years of public life

00:09:25.140 demonstrated

00:09:25.680 that kind of strategy.

00:09:26.960 What he has demonstrated

00:09:27.940 is that he spends

00:09:28.840 a lot of time

00:09:29.560 looking back

00:09:30.340 with a sort of

00:09:32.480 vindictive spirit.

00:09:34.200 You say that he has,

00:09:35.220 a reporter once reported

00:09:36.600 that he had very small hands.

00:09:38.900 Decades later,

00:09:40.140 Donald Trump would still

00:09:41.000 send that reporter 0.99

00:09:41.980 signed photographs

00:09:43.560 of his hands

00:09:44.720 to demonstrate

00:09:45.480 how perfectly large

00:09:46.580 they are.

00:09:47.900 If somebody insults him,

00:09:49.180 he never lets go

00:09:50.180 of the insult.

00:09:51.460 Ten years later,

00:09:52.220 he'll be on Twitter

00:09:52.960 fighting the feuds

00:09:54.440 that existed

00:09:55.560 before Twitter

00:09:56.080 even existed, right?

00:09:58.340 So,

00:09:58.860 if Donald Trump

00:10:00.400 believes that there

00:10:00.880 was corruption,

00:10:01.680 that that corruption

00:10:02.860 targeted him personally

00:10:04.480 in 2016,

00:10:06.360 that is something

00:10:07.060 that's going to be

00:10:07.400 very hard for Donald Trump

00:10:08.360 to let go of. 0.99

00:10:09.120 He's a dog with a bone 0.86

00:10:10.040 when it comes to a vendetta.

00:10:11.480 The problem is,

00:10:12.920 even if he

00:10:13.560 weren't a dog with a bone

00:10:14.960 and even if it wasn't

00:10:15.880 a vendetta,

00:10:17.280 if Ukrainians

00:10:19.260 were involved,

00:10:20.660 even if they weren't,

00:10:21.540 but he has reason

00:10:22.120 to believe that they were involved

00:10:23.380 in circumventing

00:10:24.720 the 2016 election,

00:10:26.960 that's a legitimate concern

00:10:28.300 for the president

00:10:28.880 of the United States.

00:10:29.500 And, you know,

00:10:30.220 yesterday,

00:10:30.960 during the testimony

00:10:31.800 of these two big witnesses

00:10:33.440 that the Democrats

00:10:34.180 were so excited to bring,

00:10:35.380 George Kent and Gordon,

00:10:36.920 not Gordon Sondland,

00:10:37.740 and Bill Taylor.

00:10:39.300 And George Kent was asked,

00:10:40.960 is it legitimate

00:10:41.740 for the president

00:10:42.540 of the United States

00:10:43.220 in regard to Ukraine policy

00:10:44.660 to ask them to investigate

00:10:46.020 this sort of corruption?

00:10:47.280 And George Kent said,

00:10:48.360 absolutely it is.

00:10:49.480 They asked Bill Taylor,

00:10:50.840 do you have evidence

00:10:52.060 of this quid pro quo?

00:10:52.940 Do you have any

00:10:53.560 first-hand account?

00:10:54.500 He said,

00:10:54.940 nope,

00:10:55.220 I spoke to Gordon Sondland,

00:10:56.320 he said,

00:10:56.680 I got the quid pro quo wrong

00:10:57.920 and I don't have

00:10:58.640 any first-hand evidence.

00:10:59.880 It's that pretense.

00:11:01.260 It's all this pretense

00:11:02.360 because the fancy people

00:11:03.760 in suits and ties

00:11:04.700 are going to go on TV

00:11:05.600 like they did on CBS News

00:11:07.080 and say,

00:11:07.900 this was devastating testimony today.

00:11:10.280 Anybody who watched

00:11:11.100 saw it was devastating

00:11:11.960 for Adam Schiff,

00:11:13.280 not for Donald Trump.

00:11:14.220 But this is the thing

00:11:15.160 that bothers me

00:11:15.760 about this whole thing.

00:11:16.700 At this point,

00:11:17.420 I actually believe

00:11:18.200 the left uses absurdity

00:11:20.100 as a strategy

00:11:21.200 because if you say,

00:11:22.440 if I have a kind of,

00:11:23.360 if I say,

00:11:23.820 well,

00:11:24.220 men and women are the same

00:11:25.600 and you say,

00:11:26.140 well,

00:11:26.240 wait,

00:11:26.480 here's the science,

00:11:27.240 we can have an argument

00:11:27.980 about that. 1.00

00:11:28.400 It may be a stupid thing 0.99

00:11:29.220 to say, 1.00

00:11:29.700 but at least we can

00:11:30.300 have an argument about it.

00:11:31.260 But if I say to you,

00:11:32.200 men menstruates, 0.67

00:11:34.220 even talking about it

00:11:35.380 elevates it beyond 1.00

00:11:36.480 the level of stupidity 1.00

00:11:37.880 they're at. 1.00

00:11:38.440 I feel that way

00:11:39.420 about this impeachment.

00:11:40.360 I go on,

00:11:41.240 I have to talk about it,

00:11:42.200 it's the news.

00:11:42.740 We all have to talk

00:11:43.340 about it,

00:11:43.540 it's the news.

00:11:44.140 I feel that even talking

00:11:45.420 about it is elevating it

00:11:46.700 above its seriousness.

00:11:48.760 The idea that this is

00:11:50.720 an impeachable offense,

00:11:51.880 an offense that actually

00:11:53.300 somehow threatens the polity,

00:11:54.580 that threatens the Constitution,

00:11:56.340 that even if he was

00:11:57.900 sitting there going,

00:11:58.620 I'm going to get that Joe Biden

00:11:59.740 because I'm really afraid

00:12:00.620 of a guy whose teeth

00:12:01.620 falls out every time he talks.

00:12:02.220 Whose eyes explode

00:12:03.200 during debates.

00:12:04.700 I just think this whole thing,

00:12:06.320 they have been calling

00:12:07.160 for impeachment

00:12:07.780 since before he even

00:12:09.920 won the election.

00:12:11.120 They were talking about

00:12:11.700 an insurance policy

00:12:13.180 against him.

00:12:13.880 They were talking about

00:12:14.560 impeachment the minute

00:12:15.400 it started.

00:12:16.100 They came up,

00:12:16.940 I mean,

00:12:17.180 it is kind of like

00:12:18.160 what Devin Nunes said,

00:12:20.160 they come out with

00:12:21.020 a strategy,

00:12:21.860 it's Russian collusion.

00:12:22.940 It's not Russian collusion,

00:12:23.940 it's obstruction of

00:12:24.560 justice,

00:12:25.060 it's not obstruction of

00:12:25.760 Ukraine.

00:12:27.540 It's going to be

00:12:28.220 his pant size.

00:12:29.660 Well, it was his pant size

00:12:30.860 with Stormy Daniels.

00:12:32.340 And then, as you say,

00:12:33.520 they go on and they do 0.98

00:12:34.900 this ridiculous stuff 0.70

00:12:35.720 and Nora O'Donnell, 0.93

00:12:37.820 who has got to be

00:12:38.420 one of the worst

00:12:39.200 personalities on television,

00:12:40.420 takes this fake action stance.

00:12:42.360 Have you watched

00:12:42.800 the way she does?

00:12:43.500 She stands like this

00:12:44.640 and she says,

00:12:45.120 it was devastating,

00:12:46.140 the walls are closing in,

00:12:47.660 it's the end of the beginning,

00:12:49.000 it's the beginning of the end,

00:12:50.040 it's explosive.

00:12:51.240 And you go like,

00:12:52.060 what the hell? 0.91

00:12:53.180 She even said, 0.98

00:12:54.180 she even said,

00:12:54.700 if you're bored,

00:12:56.000 you were just not

00:12:56.700 paying attention.

00:12:57.460 I thought,

00:12:57.780 no, I actually know

00:12:58.700 when I'm bored.

00:13:01.180 I don't need you

00:13:02.080 to tell me how to feel.

00:13:02.840 So I just feel like

00:13:03.640 even,

00:13:04.200 we have to talk about it,

00:13:05.380 obviously it's the news,

00:13:06.620 but I feel this thing

00:13:07.540 is absurd.

00:13:08.160 I feel it is completely

00:13:09.140 staged,

00:13:09.920 it's completely meaningless,

00:13:11.340 that we know

00:13:12.180 who Donald Trump is,

00:13:13.140 we know he says

00:13:13.780 these things.

00:13:15.360 I don't agree with you guys

00:13:17.000 about Trump,

00:13:18.320 I think he's a smart guy

00:13:19.460 with a strategy,

00:13:20.680 but,

00:13:21.220 but.

00:13:21.820 I used to think

00:13:22.440 you were a smart guy.

00:13:24.220 That ends right now.

00:13:25.980 But he's a big mouth

00:13:27.260 and he says things

00:13:28.060 and he talks off the cuff.

00:13:28.920 But this would actually

00:13:29.680 be his best strategy,

00:13:31.520 right,

00:13:31.720 would be for him to say,

00:13:33.140 yeah,

00:13:33.300 I'm a big mouth

00:13:33.700 and I say things.

00:13:34.840 Right,

00:13:35.260 I mean,

00:13:35.420 like if he just said that,

00:13:36.160 everybody would be like,

00:13:37.260 all right,

00:13:37.900 fair,

00:13:38.380 yeah,

00:13:38.660 fair.

00:13:39.160 I really feel like

00:13:40.080 one of the things

00:13:40.700 that he does

00:13:41.120 is one of the critical sins

00:13:42.440 that many presidents commit,

00:13:43.700 which is overselling.

00:13:45.260 And so you'll hear presidents

00:13:46.260 and say things like,

00:13:47.040 yeah,

00:13:47.380 right,

00:13:47.760 but Trump is gifted at this.

00:13:49.700 I mean,

00:13:49.940 what you'll hear presidents say

00:13:51.080 is we're going to aim

00:13:52.140 for 4% GDP growth

00:13:53.560 and then it comes in

00:13:54.060 like 3.6% GDP growth

00:13:55.540 and everybody's like,

00:13:55.980 oh,

00:13:56.080 well,

00:13:56.220 he fell short of expectation.

00:13:57.620 That was a really solid

00:13:58.240 GDP growth,

00:13:58.960 right?

00:13:59.380 What if he just pitched three,

00:14:00.820 right?

00:14:00.960 Why don't you undersell?

00:14:01.680 This is actually,

00:14:02.040 Clinton was very good at this.

00:14:03.020 Clinton would actually undersell 0.96

00:14:04.000 and then if it slightly

00:14:05.060 surpassed expectations,

00:14:06.100 it was a huge win for him.

00:14:07.480 Well,

00:14:07.720 Trump,

00:14:08.080 because he's constantly overselling,

00:14:09.620 instead of him just saying,

00:14:10.620 look,

00:14:10.880 I say things,

00:14:11.520 right,

00:14:11.680 I go in,

00:14:12.040 I'm on a phone call,

00:14:13.040 I say things,

00:14:13.740 I'm not corrupt.

00:14:14.740 If he just said that,

00:14:15.900 we'd all be like,

00:14:16.920 all right,

00:14:17.400 but instead it was the perfect,

00:14:18.800 most unbelievable phone.

00:14:19.800 And now you've got Congress people

00:14:21.180 who are in the unenviable position

00:14:22.520 of having to explain

00:14:23.820 why this phone call was perfect

00:14:25.440 as opposed to just saying

00:14:26.400 what all the rest of us are saying,

00:14:27.580 which is,

00:14:28.280 yeah,

00:14:28.460 dude says stuff

00:14:29.140 and he really didn't do anything wrong.

00:14:30.320 It's not great.

00:14:32.160 This is part of the Trump peculiarity

00:14:33.780 is that he does talk

00:14:34.720 like a North Korean dictator

00:14:35.860 and it does cause his supporters

00:14:39.380 to then have to either

00:14:40.740 say things that are going

00:14:42.340 to put them at odds with him

00:14:43.780 or say things

00:14:45.420 that make them sound

00:14:46.180 patently absurd.

00:14:47.260 I actually thought

00:14:47.720 that our friend Dennis Prager

00:14:48.660 did a terrific job

00:14:50.280 on his appearance

00:14:51.440 on Bill Maher last week

00:14:53.080 when Bill Maher brought up

00:14:55.280 some of these things

00:14:55.800 that President Trump has said,

00:14:57.120 like he's,

00:14:57.800 I can't remember the quote,

00:14:59.140 his glorious mind

00:15:00.280 and all this.

00:15:00.860 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:15:01.420 And Prager was like,

00:15:03.040 I mean,

00:15:03.240 I don't know if he said that.

00:15:03.920 Did he say that?

00:15:04.440 Yeah, he said that. 0.98

00:15:04.940 Well, of course that's silly. 0.76

00:15:06.500 I thought, 0.84

00:15:06.740 well, yeah,

00:15:07.100 that is how you have to react

00:15:09.300 to Donald Trump.

00:15:09.800 Now, before we talk

00:15:11.200 more about this,

00:15:12.480 I mentioned at the top

00:15:13.400 of the show

00:15:13.640 that we need your subscriptions

00:15:14.600 and we do.

00:15:15.740 Dailywire.com

00:15:16.380 slash subscribe.

00:15:17.020 In fact,

00:15:17.220 we're going to be taking questions

00:15:18.200 from our members here

00:15:20.640 in just a minute.

00:15:21.740 But I also said

00:15:22.940 that some of our advertisers

00:15:24.220 abandon us

00:15:25.100 in particular

00:15:25.860 in hard times.

00:15:27.440 One of the advertisers

00:15:28.400 who not only

00:15:29.800 has never abandoned us,

00:15:30.960 has never threatened

00:15:31.600 to abandon us

00:15:32.300 and I dare say

00:15:33.200 never will abandon us

00:15:34.560 unless we just stop

00:15:35.460 delivering for them,

00:15:36.220 in which case

00:15:36.600 that's not abandoning,

00:15:37.620 that's doing business.

00:15:38.360 These guys have had our back

00:15:40.580 since the day we met them

00:15:41.760 and they produce

00:15:42.340 an unbelievable product

00:15:43.740 and that's our pals

00:15:44.660 over at Bravo Company Manufacturing.

00:15:46.160 Let us talk about

00:15:46.760 the studly gentle people

00:15:47.900 over at Bravo Company.

00:15:49.380 When the founders

00:15:49.880 crafted the Constitution,

00:15:51.040 the first thing they did

00:15:51.960 was to make sacred

00:15:52.780 the rights of the individual

00:15:53.680 to share their ideas

00:15:54.360 without limitation by government,

00:15:55.540 which is the First Amendment

00:15:56.220 and then they crafted

00:15:57.380 an even more important amendment,

00:15:58.760 the Second Amendment

00:15:59.280 because without the Second Amendment 0.63

00:16:00.340 there ain't no First Amendment

00:16:01.280 and this is why

00:16:02.120 I'm a gunner,

00:16:02.900 it's why everybody in this room

00:16:03.900 is a gun owner.

00:16:04.980 Owning a rifle

00:16:05.460 is an awesome responsibility

00:16:06.520 and building rifles

00:16:07.380 is no different.

00:16:08.260 Started in a garage

00:16:09.020 by a Marine veteran

00:16:09.740 more than two decades ago,

00:16:11.180 Bravo Company Manufacturing,

00:16:12.300 BCM for short,

00:16:13.260 builds a professional grade product

00:16:14.460 built to combat standards.

00:16:15.860 Bravo Company Manufacturing

00:16:16.820 is not a sporting arms company,

00:16:18.240 which is great for me

00:16:18.840 because I don't do sporting.

00:16:19.980 All I really do is

00:16:20.920 if somebody comes on my property

00:16:21.900 trying to hurt my family, 1.00

00:16:22.960 then I want to be able to shoot them. 1.00

00:16:24.040 They design, engineer, 1.00

00:16:24.900 and manufacture

00:16:25.420 life-saving equipment,

00:16:26.480 which is the stuff

00:16:27.000 I care about.

00:16:27.920 The people at BCM

00:16:28.700 assume when a rifle

00:16:29.580 leaves their shop

00:16:30.220 that it'll be used

00:16:31.060 in a life-or-death situation

00:16:32.040 by a responsible citizen,

00:16:33.260 a law enforcement officer,

00:16:34.280 or a soldier overseas.

00:16:36.100 To learn more

00:16:36.680 about the awesome fellows

00:16:38.220 and females 0.98

00:16:40.800 head on over

00:16:41.340 to bravocompanymfg.com.

00:16:43.680 You can discover more

00:16:46.400 They are indeed

00:16:47.060 studly gentle people.

00:16:48.180 That is bravocompanymfg.com.

00:16:50.120 If you need more convincing,

00:16:51.260 go check them out at YouTube.

00:16:52.040 They make videos

00:16:52.680 that are better than ours, frankly.

00:16:53.660 YouTube.com

00:16:54.340 slash bravocompanyusa.

00:16:56.520 Again, that's bravocompanymfg.com.

00:16:58.660 Is it fellows and fell-ahs? 1.00

00:17:01.780 I know, that's what I was

00:17:02.580 straining there for a second.

00:17:03.700 And I was like,

00:17:04.100 what is the equivalent here?

00:17:05.300 You're the linguist.

00:17:06.160 It's very difficult

00:17:06.920 because a fella is also a guy.

00:17:08.740 It's very,

00:17:09.320 they've anticipated transgenderism.

00:17:11.280 Maybe Trump really is

00:17:12.140 as smart as Andrew thinking.

00:17:15.020 Well, I mean,

00:17:15.580 with all of this said,

00:17:16.720 none of this is going to have

00:17:17.560 any major impact on Trump,

00:17:20.060 which leads me to believe

00:17:21.680 that the Democratic proclamations

00:17:24.180 that they're going to try

00:17:24.800 and move as fast on this thing

00:17:25.700 as possible are just a lie.

00:17:26.620 I don't think that's right.

00:17:27.340 I think that the Democrats are-

00:17:27.700 It's not in their interest to move quickly.

00:17:28.640 Right, exactly.

00:17:29.080 I think that they're looking at this field

00:17:30.640 and they're thinking,

00:17:31.340 okay, what we need to do

00:17:32.920 is avoid talking about these

00:17:34.260 because this field 0.99

00:17:35.740 is just sheer effing garbage. 0.99

00:17:37.920 I mean, and it is. 1.00

00:17:38.660 It is garbage, top to bottom. 1.00

00:17:40.260 You've got Joe Biden, 1.00

00:17:41.360 who is not even alive.

00:17:42.860 He's not a living human being.

00:17:44.860 They've dug up a corpse

00:17:46.300 and they've called it Joe Biden

00:17:47.620 and they wheel it around

00:17:48.560 and every so often-

00:17:48.960 Joe Biden is the bottom at the top.

00:17:50.300 Every so often,

00:17:52.120 his jaw falls open

00:17:54.120 and sound comes out

00:17:55.160 and that's Joe Biden's candidacy

00:17:58.220 and that guy's your front runner.

00:17:59.540 Listen, two years from now,

00:18:00.360 we're going to be sitting here

00:18:00.960 doing this show

00:18:01.740 and Drew's going to say,

00:18:02.900 I think you guys are wrong about Biden.

00:18:05.920 He's very much alive.

00:18:06.880 He might be alive.

00:18:07.860 Yeah, exactly.

00:18:08.640 He might be alive.

00:18:09.160 And then you've got our good friend

00:18:10.020 Elizabeth Warren

00:18:10.560 and Elizabeth Warren is,

00:18:12.640 I mean, the more you see her,

00:18:13.780 the more you dislike her.

00:18:15.440 And it's amazing

00:18:16.660 because she started off

00:18:17.860 and everybody's like,

00:18:18.500 yeah, she's terrible.

00:18:19.340 And then they're like,

00:18:19.800 second look at Elizabeth Warren

00:18:21.020 and the media were obsessed

00:18:22.440 with Elizabeth Warren.

00:18:23.280 Every plan, everything she said,

00:18:25.140 it's genius, it's brilliant.

00:18:26.680 She went to Harvard Law

00:18:27.600 and she was a professor.

00:18:28.860 Sure, she earned it

00:18:29.480 by proclaiming that she was

00:18:30.360 a Native American,

00:18:30.980 but she's a professor.

00:18:32.320 And by the way,

00:18:32.780 don't believe all the hype

00:18:33.540 when they say,

00:18:33.940 oh, well, Harvard Law

00:18:34.580 never looked at that.

00:18:35.260 Really?

00:18:35.480 Then why was she putting it

00:18:36.160 on her application?

00:18:36.920 Why was Harvard putting out

00:18:37.940 press releases about it?

00:18:38.920 Correct.

00:18:39.420 I mean, it's all nonsense.

00:18:40.560 But it was all just

00:18:41.900 glowing media coverage.

00:18:43.400 And then people get a load of her 1.00

00:18:44.840 and they're like,

00:18:45.320 oh my God, she is awful. 0.99

00:18:46.880 And this war on billionaires thing, 0.68

00:18:48.620 by the way,

00:18:48.960 they say that all this plays

00:18:50.300 because the vast majority

00:18:51.440 of the American people

00:18:52.140 are for the wealth tax.

00:18:53.420 Right, because anytime

00:18:54.420 you say to somebody,

00:18:55.700 how would you like

00:18:56.180 if you took somebody

00:18:56.960 richer's money from them

00:18:58.120 and then gave it to you?

00:18:59.140 How do you think

00:18:59.560 that's going to pull?

00:19:00.240 I mean, obviously,

00:19:00.980 that's going to pull

00:19:01.540 generally well.

00:19:02.660 But Dan Henninger

00:19:03.480 in the Journal

00:19:03.960 wrote a really interesting piece

00:19:05.260 where he said she may have

00:19:06.180 actually destroyed the left

00:19:07.740 because Bernie Sanders

00:19:09.000 is smart enough

00:19:09.800 to never say

00:19:10.860 what anything's going to cost

00:19:12.100 or what he's actually

00:19:13.120 going to do.

00:19:13.800 Where she did put out

00:19:15.060 a detailed plan

00:19:16.140 of her health plan

00:19:17.200 and everybody looked at it,

00:19:18.100 even the left looked at it.

00:19:19.100 And they laughed at it.

00:19:19.860 Uh-oh.

00:19:20.440 Well, it's laughable

00:19:21.380 because she literally

00:19:22.460 just falsified the numbers.

00:19:23.740 I mean, she claimed

00:19:24.460 that she was going to

00:19:25.220 take a plan

00:19:25.920 that by every estimate

00:19:26.640 costs over $30 trillion

00:19:27.600 over 10 years

00:19:28.320 and make it cost $20 trillion

00:19:30.080 over 10 years.

00:19:31.260 She was going to double count

00:19:32.140 all of the taxation

00:19:33.320 that she had already declared

00:19:34.920 was going for other purposes.

00:19:36.020 She was going to triple

00:19:36.800 the wealth tax,

00:19:37.420 not 2%, but 6%.

00:19:38.600 By the way,

00:19:39.420 can we talk for a second

00:19:40.060 about this wealth tax nonsense

00:19:41.020 because people do not understand

00:19:42.500 what a wealth tax is.

00:19:43.380 They do not.

00:19:43.880 They think that this is just

00:19:44.580 an increase in the income tax. 1.00

00:19:45.740 This is bullshit. 0.99

00:19:46.880 Okay? 1.00

00:19:47.100 Like, pardon the language, 0.99

00:19:48.540 but it's bullshit. 0.99

00:19:49.340 Okay? 1.00

00:19:49.660 Wealth tax is one of the worst ideas

00:19:51.900 ever created by the human mind.

00:19:53.680 Okay?

00:19:53.900 It's basically the equivalent

00:19:54.880 of an estate tax.

00:19:55.800 So when you die,

00:19:56.460 the government, 0.69

00:19:56.900 because they're terrible,

00:19:57.720 they decide that they're going

00:19:58.340 to step over your corpse,

00:19:59.320 pry open your safe,

00:20:00.140 take all the money

00:20:00.640 you've already paid taxes on,

00:20:01.740 and then steal it from you

00:20:02.920 so that you can't give it

00:20:03.780 to your children,

00:20:04.360 which, of course,

00:20:04.860 was the entire purpose

00:20:05.720 of you earning money

00:20:06.340 over the course of your lifetime.

00:20:07.300 The estate tax is patently evil.

00:20:08.960 Okay, so now,

00:20:09.920 but it's not just

00:20:10.480 that they pry open the safe.

00:20:11.220 They then assess the value

00:20:12.240 of every piece of property

00:20:13.460 that you own,

00:20:14.240 including your business interests

00:20:15.200 and your stocks.

00:20:15.980 And then,

00:20:16.400 they take 40% of that

00:20:17.620 if you haven't been smart enough

00:20:18.560 to get a living trust.

00:20:19.280 Folks,

00:20:19.700 go check out a living trust

00:20:20.640 at LegalZoom.com today.

00:20:22.120 Make it happen right now.

00:20:23.480 Do not give that money 0.99

00:20:24.160 to the damned federal government. 1.00

00:20:25.440 Okay, so... 1.00

00:20:25.960 You know what's especially stupid 1.00

00:20:27.440 about this wealth tax 1.00

00:20:28.720 is she says

00:20:29.500 she's only going to go after 0.59

00:20:31.280 the billionaires.

00:20:32.360 It's a familiar storyline.

00:20:34.400 There are about 621 billionaires

00:20:36.480 in the United States.

00:20:37.600 Their combined wealth,

00:20:39.200 not their income,

00:20:40.120 their wealth,

00:20:40.660 the money that they have

00:20:41.460 is a little over $3 trillion.

00:20:43.080 And I'm actually being generous here

00:20:44.540 with my estimates.

00:20:46.060 If you took

00:20:46.920 every single penny they had,

00:20:48.520 you took the shirt off their back,

00:20:50.000 you left them destitute,

00:20:51.680 you would not pay

00:20:53.060 a tiny fraction

00:20:54.480 of this plan,

00:20:55.580 which is a $20 trillion,

00:20:56.840 is it $30 trillion,

00:20:57.560 the whole plan is $52 trillion.

00:20:58.700 You'd pay for one year

00:20:59.520 worth of a plan.

00:21:00.260 You'd pay for less

00:21:00.760 or less than one year.

00:21:01.600 Right.

00:21:01.720 What do you do then?

00:21:02.940 But to get back to the details

00:21:03.800 of what a wealth tax is

00:21:04.720 so people understand

00:21:05.340 how evil a wealth tax is,

00:21:06.780 a wealth tax requires

00:21:08.260 the government and you

00:21:09.320 to assess the value

00:21:10.320 of everything that you own

00:21:11.600 every single year

00:21:12.580 and then take a percentage

00:21:13.660 off the top of that.

00:21:14.520 So when she says 2% of your wealth,

00:21:16.300 okay, let's take an example.

00:21:17.540 We have a business here

00:21:18.240 at Daily Wire.

00:21:18.760 The business earns money.

00:21:19.780 We have to assess

00:21:20.420 the value of the business.

00:21:21.740 We have to add up

00:21:22.320 the leftist tears tumblers,

00:21:23.480 the grapes,

00:21:24.320 the lights,

00:21:24.840 the cameras.

00:21:25.820 And I'll tell you who this,

00:21:26.580 I'll tell you who this,

00:21:27.200 I'll tell you who this absolutely Fs.

00:21:29.320 The person,

00:21:30.000 the people at absolutely Fs

00:21:31.000 are the business owners

00:21:31.860 because if you own a business,

00:21:32.960 let's say that you own a business

00:21:33.820 for the sake of argument

00:21:34.740 and the business,

00:21:35.220 so the wealth tax

00:21:36.500 is supposed to kick in

00:21:37.260 at $50 million

00:21:37.840 is what she says now, right?

00:21:39.360 As soon as you get to $50 million,

00:21:40.780 every dollar above that

00:21:41.620 and you're going to start paying

00:21:42.560 into this routine.

00:21:45.420 Okay, so let's say

00:21:46.000 that you have a business

00:21:47.180 and the business

00:21:47.660 is worth $50 million.

00:21:48.820 But what that actually means

00:21:49.860 is that the business

00:21:50.660 is being valued

00:21:51.380 by three times its gross,

00:21:52.800 basically.

00:21:53.480 So let's say that the business

00:21:54.340 makes $17 million this year

00:21:55.920 and you,

00:21:56.880 being a good boss,

00:21:57.840 you're only paying yourself

00:21:58.480 half a million dollars, right?

00:22:00.040 All the rest of it

00:22:00.800 goes to expenses,

00:22:01.680 all the rest goes to costs,

00:22:02.660 all the rest goes to employees.

00:22:03.640 So you're paying yourself

00:22:04.800 half a million dollars

00:22:05.480 and it's a $17 million a year business.

00:22:09.240 But it's valued at $50 million

00:22:10.680 because you're using

00:22:11.320 three times gross

00:22:12.100 to value the business.

00:22:12.980 That means that your net worth,

00:22:15.020 you make half a million dollars a year.

00:22:16.760 But it means that you will be paying

00:22:18.060 2% of $50 million.

00:22:20.920 You'll be paying $1 million in taxes

00:22:23.020 on an income of $500,000 a year.

00:22:25.700 Ben, it's even worse than that.

00:22:26.980 It means,

00:22:27.660 because it's not like that money

00:22:28.880 even is sitting in the bank.

00:22:29.880 You're not paying yourself

00:22:30.680 half a million dollars

00:22:31.520 and leaving $20 million in the bank.

00:22:33.200 This is right.

00:22:33.640 What this means is

00:22:34.460 you will have to liquidate assets

00:22:36.880 in order to pay the tax.

00:22:39.180 Correct.

00:22:39.440 People think of these

00:22:40.120 Silicon Valley billionaires, right?

00:22:42.440 I read a story two years ago

00:22:43.840 about Mark Zuckerberg,

00:22:44.860 founder of Facebook,

00:22:46.280 worth something at the time,

00:22:47.580 something like $70 billion.

00:22:48.940 I don't know who he's worth today.

00:22:50.080 At the time he's worth $70 billion.

00:22:50.600 It's like $120 billion or something.

00:22:51.740 Yeah, billion dollars.

00:22:53.240 And he had put in,

00:22:55.120 because he has to file this

00:22:56.380 with the SEC and with his board,

00:22:58.040 he had put in that he wanted

00:22:58.940 to liquidate $1 billion worth

00:23:01.320 of his interest

00:23:02.680 interest in Facebook.

00:23:05.220 Silicon Valley went into a panic.

00:23:07.840 And at the time,

00:23:08.780 it was the most money

00:23:10.040 that any Silicon Valley tech founder

00:23:12.700 had ever tried to convert

00:23:15.040 into cash out of their business.

00:23:16.760 Stock prices start to dive

00:23:18.260 because they think,

00:23:19.660 well, if the founder and CEO

00:23:20.860 is selling his stock,

00:23:22.420 we must need to get out as well.

00:23:24.060 And then the whole net worth,

00:23:25.500 not only of him,

00:23:26.100 but of people with mutual funds,

00:23:28.000 people with 401ks.

00:23:29.420 Exactly.

00:23:29.660 Everybody invested in the market

00:23:30.540 starts to collapse.

00:23:31.880 What that means is,

00:23:33.520 if we started a broom company

00:23:36.480 and we invented the best broom

00:23:38.400 anybody's ever had

00:23:39.540 and we manufacture them

00:23:40.920 and we sell our brooms

00:23:42.180 and promo code Shapiro,

00:23:44.240 we sell a ton of them.

00:23:46.040 And then we sell our broom company

00:23:47.780 to some...

00:23:50.040 Hillary Clinton, probably. 0.98

00:23:50.560 Hillary Clinton.

00:23:51.060 Yeah.

00:23:51.640 The only person who could afford it.

00:23:53.660 We sell it to Hillary Clinton

00:23:54.840 for $3 billion.

00:23:57.260 And by the time you pay out your taxes,

00:23:59.020 you pay out all your employees,

00:24:00.000 you pay out your legal costs,

00:24:00.860 let's say we clear,

00:24:01.780 there's $1 billion left

00:24:03.960 in Jeremy Boring's account.

00:24:07.720 I doubt that I have much less money

00:24:10.940 than plenty of guys

00:24:12.180 who are on paper worth $20 billion.

00:24:13.880 This is right.

00:24:14.340 Mark Zuckerberg's fortune

00:24:15.500 is in his stock.

00:24:17.100 Jeff Bezos' fortune

00:24:18.100 is in his stock.

00:24:19.320 Don't get me wrong,

00:24:20.280 they have access

00:24:21.100 to all kinds of wealth

00:24:22.600 through the company,

00:24:23.440 money that they pay themselves

00:24:24.940 in salary.

00:24:25.480 They're doing great.

00:24:26.600 But a guy who sells a company

00:24:27.800 for $3 billion

00:24:28.520 probably has more cash on hand

00:24:31.240 than these billions.

00:24:32.300 And the reason that that matters

00:24:33.160 is because...

00:24:33.720 And that stock is also invested

00:24:35.320 in other companies

00:24:36.020 which are hiring people

00:24:37.100 to do work.

00:24:38.020 That's right.

00:24:38.300 And when you make them liquidate,

00:24:40.420 you have to liquidate stock.

00:24:41.460 You bring the whole value

00:24:42.020 of the stock market down.

00:24:43.180 But he's going to...

00:24:44.180 Fewer people are going to get hired,

00:24:45.520 fewer people's retirements

00:24:46.640 are going to come through.

00:24:47.240 But the short way of saying this,

00:24:48.720 which is just true,

00:24:49.440 is the left no longer understands

00:24:51.280 why business is there

00:24:52.320 except to fund their plans.

00:24:53.920 They have absolutely no clue

00:24:55.440 about the value of work,

00:24:56.800 about the dignity of work,

00:24:57.880 about the dignity of building stuff,

00:24:59.260 about the magic of inventing stuff.

00:25:00.660 Or how the economy grows, right?

00:25:02.920 I mean, there's a study today...

00:25:03.820 What makes it beautiful?

00:25:04.620 I mean, this is what makes

00:25:05.600 this country so great

00:25:06.560 is people building things,

00:25:08.320 you know,

00:25:08.600 like just building things

00:25:09.740 out of nothing,

00:25:10.380 sitting in their garage

00:25:11.160 and building billion-dollar companies.

00:25:12.660 This is an amazing thing.

00:25:14.080 And they just think it's there

00:25:15.300 to fund their plans.

00:25:17.320 Actually, I want to say something

00:25:18.120 about this before we take questions.

00:25:20.140 There is...

00:25:20.940 There's a kind of ethics

00:25:22.280 that most people

00:25:22.840 never have to contemplate.

00:25:23.940 But as a business owner,

00:25:24.940 you have to contemplate

00:25:25.900 this kind of ethics.

00:25:26.920 It's the ethics of business.

00:25:28.320 When is it moral to fire someone?

00:25:30.580 When is it immoral

00:25:31.740 not to fire someone?

00:25:33.700 What do you do

00:25:34.680 with profits in your company?

00:25:36.560 How do you invest...

00:25:37.380 I think he's sending you

00:25:38.040 a signal.

00:25:38.540 Yeah, hold on.

00:25:38.920 I don't know.

00:25:39.240 I don't know.

00:25:39.700 Let's take the questions.

00:25:40.580 Let's go on to questions.

00:25:41.820 But these are actually

00:25:42.740 ethical questions.

00:25:43.800 They affect people's lives.

00:25:45.100 There's right and wrong answers.

00:25:46.700 And it can be

00:25:47.760 a little bit challenging

00:25:48.480 to navigate some of those waters.

00:25:51.060 One of the things

00:25:51.720 that bothers me

00:25:52.380 as a business owner

00:25:53.320 is when I hear people

00:25:55.200 who've never contemplated

00:25:56.420 the ethics of business

00:25:57.560 condemn business people

00:25:59.780 as unethical.

00:26:01.260 Did you know

00:26:01.840 that 58% of working Americans,

00:26:05.100 I just learned this today,

00:26:06.500 say that they would trust

00:26:07.840 a stranger more than their boss?

00:26:11.600 This is offensive.

00:26:12.100 Patently absurd.

00:26:12.920 Patently absurd.

00:26:13.740 It's offensive

00:26:14.460 because your boss

00:26:15.360 absolutely trusts you.

00:26:18.360 Otherwise,

00:26:19.060 they wouldn't have hired you

00:26:20.320 and put you in a position

00:26:21.480 to advance

00:26:22.520 or harm their interests.

00:26:24.640 Right.

00:26:24.840 So they're putting

00:26:25.400 their trust in you

00:26:26.160 and the majority

00:26:26.860 of their workers

00:26:27.480 don't trust them in return.

00:26:29.420 And the reason is

00:26:30.080 because people like Bernie Sanders

00:26:31.360 and people like Elizabeth Warren

00:26:32.580 constantly say

00:26:33.920 the CEO class

00:26:35.360 is against you.

00:26:36.380 The CEO class

00:26:37.480 employs you.

00:26:38.500 Right, yeah.

00:26:38.700 They say the billionaires

00:26:39.660 are stealing from you.

00:26:40.500 The billionaires

00:26:41.380 have created

00:26:41.920 so much wealth

00:26:43.520 that global poverty,

00:26:45.240 not just America,

00:26:46.040 global poverty

00:26:46.860 is at an all-time low.

00:26:48.120 If you have a job

00:26:49.240 in America today,

00:26:51.260 you have an entrepreneur

00:26:52.160 to thank.

00:26:53.880 And there's this sort of...

00:26:54.520 Well over half of Americans

00:26:55.520 are employed

00:26:56.060 by a company

00:26:56.620 that employs

00:26:57.140 more than,

00:26:57.960 I think it's 2,500 people.

00:26:59.800 That's right.

00:27:00.160 Like a huge percentage.

00:27:01.160 Like most people in America

00:27:02.320 now work for a large company.

00:27:03.700 But nobody likes his boss.

00:27:05.060 And I get it.

00:27:06.120 You don't have to like your boss.

00:27:07.420 But let me tell you something

00:27:08.180 about your boss.

00:27:08.440 But you have to contemplate...

00:27:09.140 No, I understand.

00:27:10.100 I'm just saying

00:27:10.480 they're playing off

00:27:11.040 a natural...

00:27:11.620 Of course, of course.

00:27:12.780 And that all makes sense.

00:27:13.740 But I can tell you

00:27:14.520 because Jeremy and I

00:27:15.060 have sat in the office together

00:27:16.020 when we've had

00:27:16.500 employment discussions.

00:27:18.200 We lose sleep

00:27:19.220 over employment discussions.

00:27:20.100 Of course you do.

00:27:20.740 I mean, you know how many times

00:27:21.780 I've said I want to fire him

00:27:22.940 and Jeremy has to defend

00:27:24.120 his employment?

00:27:24.140 I know, we've wrestled you

00:27:24.940 to the ground.

00:27:25.640 But it is true 0.94

00:27:27.420 that the vast majority

00:27:28.560 of people who employ people

00:27:29.780 are the kinds of people,

00:27:31.360 really,

00:27:32.000 who are straining

00:27:32.960 not to fire people.

00:27:34.460 Especially small business owners.

00:27:35.780 But this is true

00:27:36.260 for large business owners also.

00:27:37.280 You think that they are desperate

00:27:38.180 to lay off tens of thousands

00:27:39.740 of people?

00:27:40.520 You think that they...

00:27:41.180 Because I can tell you

00:27:42.120 something right now.

00:27:42.960 If Mark Zuckerberg

00:27:43.700 wanted to liquidate

00:27:44.920 all of his wealth right now,

00:27:46.060 there are a lot of people

00:27:46.520 in this country

00:27:47.560 who would lose their jobs.

00:27:48.600 And he'd walk away

00:27:49.460 a very wealthy man.

00:27:50.280 So he could do that,

00:27:51.200 but he's not going to do that.

00:27:52.440 And that's true

00:27:53.460 of all of these billionaires.

00:27:54.100 And I just want to go back,

00:27:55.840 though, to the fact

00:27:56.360 that this is what life is.

00:27:58.180 It's guys like you

00:27:58.940 who have an idea.

00:27:59.700 You've built something.

00:28:00.960 Guys like me write a book.

00:28:02.360 People are creating things,

00:28:03.460 making things,

00:28:04.040 even if they make it

00:28:04.940 by their daily labor.

00:28:06.420 You make something.

00:28:07.960 And these people

00:28:08.920 make nothing.

00:28:10.120 And I want to say,

00:28:11.460 on the ethical piece,

00:28:13.380 yes, everybody dislikes

00:28:15.060 their boss,

00:28:15.500 and that's the price

00:28:15.940 of doing business.

00:28:16.840 I totally get it.

00:28:18.080 But covetousness

00:28:18.980 is one of the big ten

00:28:19.900 in the Bible,

00:28:21.260 the big ten

00:28:21.600 things you're not supposed

00:28:22.120 to do.

00:28:22.660 Very few people

00:28:23.560 walk around being

00:28:24.560 encouraged to murder. 0.98

00:28:26.600 Right. 0.99

00:28:26.960 Just murder. 0.92

00:28:27.680 Murder's great. 1.00

00:28:28.360 You deserve to murder. 1.00

00:28:29.360 Very few people 1.00

00:28:30.040 walk around committing adultery

00:28:32.520 as though they're being

00:28:33.760 encouraged by the culture.

00:28:34.540 Now, you might say

00:28:35.140 that the culture puts...

00:28:36.700 Winks at it.

00:28:37.260 Winks at it.

00:28:38.060 But the culture

00:28:38.740 isn't going,

00:28:39.340 cheat on your wife. 0.67

00:28:40.000 Cheating on your wife 0.98

00:28:40.580 is great.

00:28:40.940 I cheat on my wife.

00:28:41.740 You should cheat 0.80

00:28:42.080 on your wife. 0.93

00:28:43.020 Covetousness,

00:28:43.420 on the other hand,

00:28:44.400 there is an entire

00:28:45.180 political movement

00:28:45.980 in this country

00:28:46.500 dedicated to telling you

00:28:48.480 that you deserve

00:28:49.460 what you did not create,

00:28:51.000 that you deserve

00:28:51.520 what you did not earn.

00:28:53.100 Winston Churchill

00:28:53.580 called socialism

00:28:54.480 the gospel of envy.

00:28:56.200 That's not just

00:28:56.720 a cute line. 0.99

00:28:57.880 It's a penis side. 0.99

00:28:58.740 The most important 0.99

00:28:59.960 political line

00:29:00.800 of the last 20 years

00:29:01.560 is one that people

00:29:02.060 tend to ignore,

00:29:02.560 and it's when Barack Obama

00:29:03.420 was specifically asked

00:29:04.400 whether if he increased

00:29:05.280 marginal tax rates

00:29:06.280 and it lowered economic growth

00:29:07.500 and led to lower employment,

00:29:09.160 whether he would still do it.

00:29:10.380 And he said yes

00:29:10.940 for purposes of fairness.

00:29:12.040 That's right.

00:29:12.460 So that is pure and simple. 0.98

00:29:14.920 I hate rich people. 0.99

00:29:15.960 I hate rich people. 1.00

00:29:16.400 And rich people need to be taken... 0.56

00:29:17.560 Now he's a very rich person,

00:29:18.640 obviously.

00:29:19.300 I want to say this.

00:29:19.960 There's an attitude

00:29:21.480 among the working class

00:29:22.960 that is offensive

00:29:25.880 and is wrong.

00:29:26.560 And if you're an employee

00:29:28.060 in a company,

00:29:28.600 you should evaluate this.

00:29:30.460 Not because you're...

00:29:31.120 I mean, there's a great line

00:29:32.380 in The Edge

00:29:34.080 with Anthony Hopkins

00:29:35.740 and Alec Baldwin.

00:29:37.040 David Mamet.

00:29:37.480 Yeah, written by our friend

00:29:38.580 David Mamet

00:29:39.080 where Anthony Hopkins

00:29:40.600 says to Baldwin,

00:29:41.800 never feel sorry

00:29:42.480 for a man with a jet.

00:29:43.920 And that's fair.

00:29:44.720 You don't have to feel sorry

00:29:45.860 for your boss.

00:29:46.380 That's not my point.

00:29:47.180 But you should reflect

00:29:48.080 on your own attitudes

00:29:49.020 and your own biases.

00:29:50.620 You see a similar attitude.

00:29:52.060 I don't like it

00:29:52.600 with a sort of

00:29:53.100 women's power movement

00:29:54.100 where it's like

00:29:54.800 if guys wear a shirt

00:29:55.800 that says,

00:29:56.420 I can do whatever I want

00:29:58.300 and you can't tell me nothing,

00:29:59.280 that'd be bad,

00:29:59.840 but women can kind of 1.00

00:30:00.700 encourage each other in that.

00:30:01.980 Similar with the way

00:30:02.780 that this sort of

00:30:03.260 blue-collar attitude.

00:30:04.040 It's an attitude that says,

00:30:05.180 we're the real workers.

00:30:07.560 We're the people

00:30:08.000 who are really

00:30:08.580 making things possible.

00:30:10.060 We're the ones

00:30:10.620 who are irreplaceable.

00:30:11.860 The big muckety-muck up top,

00:30:14.140 he's nothing.

00:30:15.700 He's just a guy 0.50

00:30:16.560 who's stealing

00:30:17.520 all of our labor.

00:30:20.940 It's obviously untrue.

00:30:22.760 This doesn't mean

00:30:23.300 that there isn't dignity

00:30:24.120 in what you do.

00:30:25.340 There is.

00:30:25.720 If you work hard,

00:30:26.820 do your best

00:30:27.500 and deliver

00:30:28.460 no matter where you are

00:30:29.380 on the hierarchy

00:30:30.140 of employment,

00:30:31.800 you're doing something

00:30:32.600 that has an amazing value.

00:30:33.700 You're doing something

00:30:34.340 for which you should be proud

00:30:35.420 and you're doing something

00:30:35.960 that makes the world work

00:30:37.220 for every other

00:30:38.220 productive member

00:30:38.920 of society.

00:30:40.180 It is also true 0.99

00:30:41.340 that if Warren Buffett

00:30:43.700 owns a railroad

00:30:44.860 and on that railroad

00:30:46.860 there are 100,000 people

00:30:48.520 working on the train

00:30:49.380 and there are 10,000 people

00:30:51.040 in middle management

00:30:51.760 managing the people

00:30:52.560 on the train

00:30:53.160 and above that

00:30:54.160 there are 1,000 people

00:30:54.940 who are executives

00:30:55.600 over the middle management

00:30:56.640 and they're involved

00:30:57.260 in strategy

00:30:57.840 and above that

00:30:58.840 there's Warren Buffett

00:30:59.720 who has to make decisions

00:31:01.520 every single day

00:31:02.500 life and death decisions

00:31:03.320 about how to make that succeed,

00:31:05.260 make a profit

00:31:05.800 so that all those other people

00:31:06.820 can get paid

00:31:07.400 or lose a profit.

00:31:08.840 All those people

00:31:09.460 lose their jobs

00:31:10.160 and all the 401ks

00:31:12.260 that are invested

00:31:12.840 in that company

00:31:13.480 lose their retirements.

00:31:16.360 The further you go

00:31:17.280 up that pyramid

00:31:17.820 the more irreplaceable

00:31:19.000 the work of the person gets.

00:31:20.660 But you know this is

00:31:21.100 This is why

00:31:22.100 when you're at the bottom

00:31:23.220 of that

00:31:23.940 and you retire

00:31:24.660 the company goes on.

00:31:26.040 But when Warren Buffett dies

00:31:27.800 the railroad will go

00:31:28.900 into a moment of crisis

00:31:29.940 where they try to determine

00:31:31.240 now who's going to be

00:31:32.800 the one who's responsible

00:31:33.860 for determining

00:31:34.840 whether or not

00:31:35.480 all these employees

00:31:36.280 get paid or they don't.

00:31:37.660 So one of the misnomers

00:31:38.600 of modern American politics

00:31:39.600 is that this is

00:31:40.100 a working class mentality.

00:31:41.300 I really don't think it is.

00:31:42.420 And if you look at the polls

00:31:43.100 inside the Democratic Party

00:31:44.100 what you will see

00:31:44.760 is that a huge percentage

00:31:46.260 of the support

00:31:46.920 for Elizabeth Warren

00:31:47.600 is coming from college graduates

00:31:48.920 highly educated people.

00:31:51.160 It ain't the working class. 0.92

00:31:51.760 It ain't the working class. 0.92

00:31:52.680 The working class understands

00:31:53.980 that people who work

00:31:55.000 in this country

00:31:56.100 it used to be

00:31:56.760 I remember in England

00:31:57.840 during the 70s

00:31:58.760 and England during the 70s

00:31:59.740 was a horrible horrible

00:32:00.880 Oh yeah before Thatcher?

00:32:01.700 Oh it was amazing.

00:32:03.240 And they used to say

00:32:04.140 with admiration to me

00:32:05.460 they would say

00:32:06.160 you know

00:32:06.600 when we see a guy

00:32:07.800 go by in a Rolls Royce

00:32:08.900 we think I'm going

00:32:09.720 to bring that guy down.

00:32:10.900 He said when you see

00:32:11.540 a guy go by in a Rolls Royce

00:32:12.540 you think I'm going

00:32:13.140 to get one of those.

00:32:13.900 That's right.

00:32:14.220 That's the way Americans 1.00

00:32:15.060 used to think.

00:32:16.260 You can twist that.

00:32:17.260 Obviously they did in Britain. 0.86

00:32:18.320 You can twist people's minds

00:32:19.480 until they're filled with envy.

00:32:20.880 But you know

00:32:21.460 the thing that you're

00:32:22.280 talking about too

00:32:23.000 is the hidden meritocracy

00:32:24.760 of the left

00:32:25.800 because they say

00:32:27.080 you know

00:32:27.840 if you put out a pet rock

00:32:29.200 and you make a million bucks

00:32:30.280 you earn that million bucks.

00:32:31.980 That's an idea.

00:32:32.820 I did put out a pet rock

00:32:34.260 and I made a lot of money.

00:32:35.620 You did put out a pet rock.

00:32:37.340 That idea was worth something.

00:32:39.280 What have they done?

00:32:40.520 What have they done

00:32:41.500 that they get to spend

00:32:42.400 the money you made?

00:32:43.580 You know this is the thing

00:32:44.320 that drove me up a wall.

00:32:45.640 Did you see that clip

00:32:46.180 of Bernie Sanders

00:32:46.740 sitting next to AOC

00:32:47.540 and the weirdest version

00:32:48.320 of the odd couple ever?

00:32:49.260 The good news is

00:32:50.540 I think we know

00:32:50.920 who he cast as Alex

00:32:51.700 Oscar

00:32:52.200 and who he cast as Felix.

00:32:53.460 It took me three weeks

00:32:54.740 to figure out

00:32:55.420 that F.U.

00:32:56.060 meant something

00:32:56.600 something pudding.

00:32:59.220 My favorite line

00:33:00.080 from the odd couple.

00:33:01.160 It's a great play.

00:33:03.040 But there's that clip

00:33:04.740 of Bernie Sanders

00:33:05.960 saying

00:33:07.320 the arrogance

00:33:08.480 of Michael Bloomberg

00:33:09.740 and these billionaires

00:33:10.440 want to get into politics

00:33:11.560 because they think

00:33:12.320 that because they're rich

00:33:12.980 they should run your life.

00:33:13.740 And I thought to myself

00:33:14.280 you are a professional 1.00

00:33:17.440 useless person. 1.00

00:33:18.420 A professional useless person. 1.00

00:33:19.780 You have been 1.00

00:33:20.920 kicked out of a commune 1.00

00:33:22.560 for being useless 0.99

00:33:23.340 and then you're like 0.98

00:33:24.800 you know where I can go 0.99

00:33:25.520 to be even more useless 0.98

00:33:26.540 and people will give me money? 0.96

00:33:27.780 I can go into local,

00:33:28.860 state, and federal government.

00:33:29.900 And you've spent

00:33:30.260 the last 50 years

00:33:31.100 providing nothing.

00:33:32.380 Zero things.

00:33:33.080 You have not created

00:33:33.580 a single job

00:33:34.280 that was not paid for

00:33:34.900 by the taxpayer.

00:33:35.720 You have not passed

00:33:36.240 a single major piece

00:33:37.060 of legislation.

00:33:37.980 You have done nothing.

00:33:39.440 Zero things.

00:33:40.060 And you're sitting here

00:33:40.820 saying that because

00:33:41.680 listen, I don't like

00:33:42.500 Michael Bloomberg either. 1.00

00:33:43.160 I think he's a schmuck. 1.00

00:33:43.980 But Michael Bloomberg 1.00

00:33:45.060 has at least created

00:33:45.880 some jobs.

00:33:46.660 He's actually run a business.

00:33:47.720 In fact, he was actually

00:33:48.740 a fairly successful

00:33:49.820 mayor of New York.

00:33:50.860 You are literally 1.00

00:33:52.320 a professional useless person 1.00

00:33:53.700 who is old and crazy 1.00

00:33:55.280 and you scream at the moon 0.99

00:33:56.740 and you're sitting there

00:33:57.980 being like,

00:33:58.580 all these billionaires

00:33:59.260 want to get into politics.

00:34:00.200 How arrogant.

00:34:00.680 I think to myself,

00:34:01.840 okay, which is more arrogant?

00:34:02.820 The guy who has created jobs

00:34:04.540 for probably tens of thousands

00:34:05.520 of people who says,

00:34:06.740 you know what,

00:34:07.120 I can bring that same

00:34:07.820 sort of sensibility

00:34:08.560 to government?

00:34:09.760 Or the guy who has created

00:34:11.420 nothing ever

00:34:12.380 in the history

00:34:13.040 of his entire life

00:34:14.000 who says,

00:34:14.500 I want to run

00:34:14.960 every single aspect

00:34:16.200 of your life forever.

00:34:17.760 Who is more arrogant?

00:34:18.680 You finally said

00:34:19.300 something nice

00:34:19.740 about Donald Trump.

00:34:21.180 No, I mean,

00:34:21.740 but that's true.

00:34:22.260 I mean,

00:34:22.400 I didn't have any objections

00:34:23.260 to Donald Trump

00:34:23.840 running for office

00:34:24.360 on the basis

00:34:24.700 of his business record.

00:34:25.640 I've never thought

00:34:26.160 that a political career

00:34:27.040 was actually the basis

00:34:28.260 for being a good president

00:34:29.340 of the United States.

00:34:30.600 Every president we've had

00:34:31.520 has basically been

00:34:32.000 a politician

00:34:32.400 and most of them 1.00

00:34:32.840 been schmucks. 1.00

00:34:33.420 That's right. 0.99

00:34:33.620 So like,

00:34:33.940 that's not a thing.

00:34:35.860 So,

00:34:37.240 our pals over ExpressVPN.

00:34:39.120 I love ExpressVPN.

00:34:40.480 Not only are they,

00:34:41.660 I mean,

00:34:41.900 just one of the best supporters

00:34:43.060 of everything that we do

00:34:44.260 at the Daily Wire.

00:34:45.080 They're great dudes

00:34:45.680 and their product

00:34:46.540 is so important to you.

00:34:47.980 I know this

00:34:48.540 because you're watching this show

00:34:49.740 and if you're watching this show,

00:34:52.000 you need to be using a VPN.

00:34:54.660 So nobody knows

00:34:55.620 you're watching that show.

00:34:56.340 So nobody knows

00:34:56.680 that you're watching this show.

00:34:57.960 But of course,

00:34:58.500 it isn't just about

00:34:59.300 hiding your shame

00:35:00.100 for watching Daily Wire content.

00:35:01.980 It's also about

00:35:02.540 protecting your identity

00:35:03.280 and protecting your financial.

00:35:04.240 Have any of you guys

00:35:04.780 ever had your credit card

00:35:05.900 information stolen online?

00:35:07.160 Somebody tried to do it yesterday.

00:35:08.400 Yeah.

00:35:08.600 Somebody tried to steal

00:35:09.400 my stuff yesterday.

00:35:09.900 Yeah, I mean,

00:35:10.340 it just happened.

00:35:11.000 It has happened to me

00:35:13.480 and it is no fun.

00:35:14.500 And this is one of the reasons

00:35:15.600 why you should be using a VPN.

00:35:17.040 And the best VPN on the market

00:35:18.060 is, of course,

00:35:18.560 ExpressVPN.

00:35:19.700 You know,

00:35:19.900 they've been on this show

00:35:20.860 and my show for so long

00:35:21.920 that you already know the pitch, right?

00:35:23.300 You already know

00:35:23.660 why it's important

00:35:24.100 to encrypt your data,

00:35:24.740 protect it from big tech,

00:35:26.360 which wants to monetize your data.

00:35:27.600 It's your data.

00:35:28.120 Big tech shouldn't be monetizing it.

00:35:29.520 Right.

00:35:29.680 They want it.

00:35:30.080 They want,

00:35:30.560 the government wants to monitor

00:35:31.460 exactly what you're doing

00:35:32.420 every hour of the day.

00:35:33.340 So if you sleep easy at night

00:35:34.400 knowing that Elizabeth Warren

00:35:35.360 can visit your websites

00:35:36.580 that you visited,

00:35:37.560 then more power to you.

00:35:38.740 But if you would like

00:35:39.340 a little bit of privacy,

00:35:40.460 ExpressVPN is the way to do this.

00:35:41.860 But you might be thinking

00:35:42.700 that, you know,

00:35:43.580 you folks here on the Daily Wire,

00:35:45.040 the ones talking to us,

00:35:46.060 well, you,

00:35:46.580 you're public figures.

00:35:48.040 And that means that people

00:35:48.780 are constantly coming

00:35:49.700 after your information.

00:35:50.940 I'm just not one of those people.

00:35:52.580 People aren't going to come 1.00

00:35:54.260 after my information.

00:35:55.540 Wrong.

00:35:56.160 They are going to come

00:35:57.080 after your information

00:35:57.700 because if you are worth

00:35:58.460 more than a dollar

00:35:59.120 or if you have an income

00:36:00.880 or a credit card

00:36:01.520 or if you're just

00:36:02.600 a normal American

00:36:03.420 and the media decide

00:36:04.100 to go after you

00:36:04.820 as it turns out,

00:36:05.560 there will be people

00:36:06.320 who are seeking your information.

00:36:07.600 You need a VPN too.

00:36:08.520 You know,

00:36:09.040 you wouldn't leave

00:36:09.480 your front door unlocked

00:36:10.300 every night,

00:36:10.960 even though the chances

00:36:11.700 of you being robbed

00:36:12.140 are pretty low

00:36:12.620 because one day

00:36:13.500 somebody might actually

00:36:14.120 try your front door.

00:36:15.100 You should go get

00:36:15.700 ExpressVPN right now.

00:36:33.460 thank you.

00:36:34.980 and you are not

00:36:37.760 what the matter?

00:36:38.520 I can't remember.

00:36:40.220 Please,

00:36:41.000 think about supporting us.

00:36:44.060 You can today

00:36:44.800 enter the promo code

00:36:45.780 WarrenTears.

00:36:46.760 That's WarrenTears

00:36:47.720 as in

00:36:48.200 the mighty Elizabeth Warren

00:36:49.500 and the tears

00:36:50.380 are the tears

00:36:51.020 that she will

00:36:51.600 be weeping

00:36:52.520 when we sue her

00:36:54.160 for plagiarism.

00:36:55.360 Okay,

00:36:55.940 the best part of this story

00:36:56.680 is somebody

00:36:57.140 in our Daily Wire

00:36:58.640 social media team

00:36:59.360 looked at,

00:37:00.260 did you see this thing?

00:37:00.840 It's amazing.

00:37:01.820 It's so good.

00:37:02.580 So they looked at her website

00:37:03.740 where she's selling 0.58

00:37:04.580 these billionaire tears

00:37:06.040 and it says

00:37:07.120 powered by Shopify.

00:37:08.740 Shopify,

00:37:09.300 of course,

00:37:09.520 is owned by a man

00:37:10.020 who's worth $3.2 billion.

00:37:11.900 Capitalism always wins.

00:37:14.100 It always wins.

00:37:15.140 By the way,

00:37:15.500 quick last note

00:37:16.520 on the wealth tax

00:37:17.000 and then we can do

00:37:17.380 the questions.

00:37:17.920 Quick note on the wealth tax.

00:37:18.880 There was a study

00:37:19.340 that came out

00:37:19.700 in the New York Times today

00:37:20.360 and what it found out

00:37:21.740 was that it was a,

00:37:23.040 I think it was done

00:37:23.420 by University of Pennsylvania

00:37:24.380 analyzing the wealth tax

00:37:25.440 and what it found

00:37:25.960 is that over the course

00:37:27.080 of the next decade,

00:37:28.200 Elizabeth Warren's proposals

00:37:29.760 could,

00:37:31.100 they predict,

00:37:31.940 would lower

00:37:33.100 the economic growth rate

00:37:34.320 in the United States

00:37:35.040 from 1.5% to 1.3%,

00:37:37.520 so 0.2%.

00:37:38.380 That's annually,

00:37:39.200 every single year.

00:37:40.300 Okay,

00:37:40.560 that is a massive amount

00:37:41.960 of money.

00:37:42.260 To explain how massive

00:37:43.060 an amount of money that is,

00:37:44.460 the same people forecast

00:37:46.320 that Donald Trump's

00:37:47.700 tax cuts

00:37:48.340 would increase

00:37:49.080 the growth

00:37:50.500 of the United States

00:37:51.140 over the course

00:37:51.540 of the next 10 years

00:37:52.300 by 0.06%

00:37:54.140 per year.

00:37:55.420 Okay,

00:37:55.580 what that means

00:37:56.260 is that the downside

00:37:57.560 of Elizabeth Warren

00:37:58.360 is three times

00:37:59.560 the upside

00:38:00.080 of the Trump tax cut.

00:38:01.780 Okay,

00:38:01.960 and that is,

00:38:02.560 if you use the rosiest estimates,

00:38:03.820 if you actually believe

00:38:04.480 that she's going to be able

00:38:05.000 to seize this wealth

00:38:05.640 and people aren't going

00:38:06.320 to simply move,

00:38:07.180 which is what happened

00:38:07.760 in France.

00:38:08.120 40,000 millionaires

00:38:09.060 moved out of France,

00:38:09.900 which is why every country

00:38:10.780 that's ever tried 0.97

00:38:11.220 this garbage wealth tax, 0.99

00:38:12.300 which by the way 0.97

00:38:12.720 is also unconstitutional

00:38:13.700 under Article 1,

00:38:14.480 Section 9 of the Constitution,

00:38:16.020 it's never going to happen,

00:38:17.040 but she is,

00:38:18.280 she's a bad person. 1.00

00:38:19.920 She's a bad person 1.00

00:38:20.580 because she's making it

00:38:21.420 part of the narrative.

00:38:22.740 Of course,

00:38:23.100 it's not going to happen.

00:38:24.100 Even if she's elected president,

00:38:25.920 there is a 0% chance

00:38:27.480 that this wealth tax

00:38:28.560 goes into...

00:38:29.260 I think she's a bad person 0.99

00:38:31.320 because she knows all this.

00:38:32.700 She does.

00:38:33.220 She's smarter than this.

00:38:33.900 And she's known

00:38:34.520 all this for years.

00:38:35.540 Every point that she makes now,

00:38:36.860 she's previously taken

00:38:37.580 the opposite side of.

00:38:38.780 Every story she's ever told,

00:38:39.880 it turns out,

00:38:40.360 is probably false.

00:38:40.920 That's actually right.

00:38:41.580 She's a wildly 0.99

00:38:42.720 disingenuous human being. 0.99

00:38:43.920 Plus,

00:38:44.140 she stole 0.99

00:38:45.140 my leftist tears

00:38:46.540 hot or cold tumbler

00:38:47.440 and made her

00:38:48.660 billionaire tears mug.

00:38:50.840 And guys,

00:38:51.700 billionaires cry tears of gold.

00:38:54.880 If I felt that I could

00:38:56.140 collect billionaire tears

00:38:57.240 and all I had to do

00:38:57.780 was buy that mug,

00:38:58.640 I'd do it.

00:39:04.520 And we are going

00:39:05.080 to take your question.

00:39:05.860 No, no.

00:39:06.080 I'd say one thing.

00:39:07.240 Okay, really,

00:39:08.000 I promise.

00:39:08.180 No, what's interrupting?

00:39:09.160 It's the last thing.

00:39:09.840 It's the last thing.

00:39:10.660 Okay, because it'll

00:39:11.740 escape my mind

00:39:12.360 and then it'll be gone forever.

00:39:13.080 And then no one

00:39:14.040 will be able to share

00:39:14.680 it in the brilliant

00:39:15.360 pearls of wisdom

00:39:16.000 that fall from these lips.

00:39:18.680 Elizabeth Warren,

00:39:20.420 there is something

00:39:21.000 so deeply immoral

00:39:21.920 about the idea

00:39:23.040 that billionaires

00:39:24.220 are not allowed

00:39:25.200 to complain

00:39:25.740 about people harming them.

00:39:27.640 Right, really?

00:39:28.120 That is an immoral proposition.

00:39:29.700 Of course it is.

00:39:30.000 It's an immoral proposition.

00:39:31.300 I mean, her basic suggestion

00:39:32.180 is that if somebody

00:39:33.020 sees a billionaire

00:39:33.700 on the street 0.84

00:39:34.260 and punches them 0.99

00:39:35.440 and beats the living 1.00

00:39:36.460 crap out of them 0.98

00:39:37.100 that because they're 1.00

00:39:37.640 a billionaire,

00:39:38.120 that's okay.

00:39:39.140 I mean, she is

00:39:40.420 a Danton Robespierre

00:39:42.020 French revolutionary

00:39:42.880 character.

00:39:43.360 I mean, that is

00:39:43.900 the kind of language

00:39:44.460 that she uses. 0.96

00:39:45.360 Yeah.

00:39:45.700 And what she neglects

00:39:46.480 to mention is

00:39:46.880 that she's worth

00:39:47.180 $12 million.

00:39:47.780 She'll be one of the

00:39:48.360 first people

00:39:48.660 on the key team.

00:39:49.000 Danton actually believed

00:39:49.720 what he was saying.

00:39:51.280 All right, I want to hear

00:39:52.920 from our Daily Wire subscribers.

00:39:54.300 They keep us on the air.

00:39:55.680 So, Alicia,

00:39:56.500 are you with us?

00:39:57.860 Yep.

00:39:58.320 And I gotta say,

00:39:59.100 if I were Catholic,

00:39:59.960 I'd be going to

00:40:00.540 confessional tomorrow

00:40:01.380 because I'm pretty envious

00:40:02.680 of a Focahontas carving

00:40:04.520 that somehow

00:40:05.920 made it into the studio

00:40:07.820 before I did.

00:40:08.940 I hadn't noticed.

00:40:09.560 I don't know what you're

00:40:09.640 talking about.

00:40:11.380 I don't know what she's

00:40:12.080 talking about.

00:40:12.720 She's in a different room.

00:40:13.860 Maybe she's in a different room.

00:40:14.520 I don't know.

00:40:15.500 Still in the broom closet, 1.00

00:40:17.240 but a crazy lying leftist 1.00

00:40:19.080 gets to be in there. 1.00

00:40:20.120 Okay.

00:40:20.500 We can make $3 billion

00:40:21.260 off that broom closet.

00:40:22.260 As Jeremy the God King said,

00:40:26.300 of course,

00:40:26.760 lowercase g,

00:40:27.380 lowercase k,

00:40:28.080 for all of our subscribers

00:40:29.040 watching at home,

00:40:30.020 if you want to ask the guys

00:40:31.080 some questions,

00:40:31.820 just head on over

00:40:32.460 to dailywire.com,

00:40:33.780 navigate to the shows page

00:40:35.240 at the top,

00:40:36.100 click on backstage,

00:40:37.180 and then type your questions

00:40:38.240 into the chat box

00:40:39.200 next to the video.

00:40:40.220 Our fantastic producers

00:40:42.220 and I will be culling

00:40:43.160 through those questions

00:40:43.800 and toss them to the guys.

00:40:45.000 And remember,

00:40:45.720 only subscribers get

00:40:46.760 to ask the questions.

00:40:47.760 So if you're not one,

00:40:48.640 you can become one tonight

00:40:49.540 to get those questions in

00:40:50.540 and apparently get

00:40:51.240 a Leftist Tears Tumblr

00:40:52.200 before Elizabeth Warren

00:40:53.160 becomes president

00:40:53.800 and bans them.

00:40:55.320 So our first question

00:40:56.460 comes from a subscriber

00:40:57.520 who wants to know,

00:40:58.480 on the topic of immigration,

00:40:59.820 how do we as Americans

00:41:00.800 assimilate to our own culture

00:41:02.440 and values

00:41:03.180 before we can assimilate

00:41:04.480 immigrants to do the same?

00:41:05.800 Thanks for all the work

00:41:06.700 that you guys do.

00:41:08.260 Andrew.

00:41:08.640 I don't actually understand.

00:41:09.400 I think that the basic idea

00:41:10.260 is that Americans

00:41:10.800 don't understand our own values.

00:41:11.980 How can we hope

00:41:12.440 to assimilate immigrants

00:41:13.520 to our values?

00:41:13.800 I think that that is

00:41:14.560 the great lie

00:41:15.240 of illegal immigration

00:41:16.340 and of unfettered immigration

00:41:17.740 is the idea that

00:41:19.140 we can let people in

00:41:20.880 without causing them

00:41:22.280 to be us.

00:41:23.280 This is the whole thing.

00:41:24.340 If you want to come

00:41:25.320 to this country,

00:41:26.420 you must,

00:41:27.460 you have to be able

00:41:28.440 and willing to leave behind

00:41:30.520 the assumptions

00:41:31.360 and practices

00:41:32.220 of your culture

00:41:33.060 and adopt the assumptions

00:41:34.300 and practices

00:41:34.840 of our culture.

00:41:35.700 And the advantage is

00:41:36.620 the assumptions

00:41:37.400 and practices

00:41:37.900 of our culture

00:41:38.500 are written down.

00:41:39.700 They're written down

00:41:40.180 in the Constitution.

00:41:40.900 They're written down

00:41:41.300 in the Declaration.

00:41:42.320 You cannot come over here

00:41:43.420 and say,

00:41:44.160 yeah, I want to come over here,

00:41:45.800 but I don't want to ascribe

00:41:46.820 this people are equal stuff

00:41:48.460 or people should be free stuff.

00:41:50.180 I come from a country,

00:41:51.000 I want you to be more

00:41:51.680 like my country.

00:41:52.420 I hear this in taxi cabs

00:41:53.800 in New York

00:41:54.220 all the time, by the way,

00:41:55.420 as people say,

00:41:55.900 I don't like this liberty very,

00:41:57.160 the driver will say to me,

00:41:58.140 I don't like this liberty

00:41:59.020 very much.

00:41:59.800 I'll say, you know,

00:42:00.600 go to LaGuardia,

00:42:01.940 go to JFK,

00:42:03.040 you can fly right

00:42:04.140 the hell out of here.

00:42:05.100 There's no problem.

00:42:06.440 What taxis are you taking, man?

00:42:09.140 No, but this is actually true

00:42:10.860 that what the left wants

00:42:12.400 is not just unfettered immigration.

00:42:14.160 It's unfettered immigration 1.00

00:42:14.960 without assimilation 0.99

00:42:15.980 and you can't have it.

00:42:17.600 And I think that this has become

00:42:18.600 a huge problem

00:42:19.920 in discussing this

00:42:21.060 because when you say,

00:42:22.200 well, what country

00:42:23.520 do you come from?

00:42:24.040 Well, I come from Saudi Arabia.

00:42:25.420 And are you willing

00:42:25.940 to leave behind the idea

00:42:27.080 that women are chattel? 1.00

00:42:28.800 Well, no, I'm not. 0.99

00:42:30.260 Get the hell out.

00:42:31.340 You know, I mean,

00:42:31.880 this is something,

00:42:32.660 we have values here.

00:42:33.860 We have them.

00:42:34.700 We're not like Europe.

00:42:35.520 We have them written down.

00:42:36.700 It's not based on race.

00:42:38.440 I don't care where it came from.

00:42:39.840 It's not based on race.

00:42:40.760 It's not based on the color

00:42:41.800 of your skin.

00:42:42.380 It's based on desire.

00:42:43.500 Do you want to be one of us?

00:42:45.240 And I think that this is something

00:42:46.540 we have to argue for.

00:42:48.620 We can, you know,

00:42:49.200 the problem that we have

00:42:50.760 on the right

00:42:51.560 is we do have these guys,

00:42:52.760 the alt-right guys

00:42:53.380 that you've been taking on

00:42:54.100 brilliantly, by the way.

00:42:55.140 You've been taking on

00:42:55.800 these alt-right guys

00:42:56.420 who are racist. 1.00

00:42:57.400 They're haters. 0.85

00:42:58.180 And we have nothing

00:42:58.900 to do with them.

00:42:59.500 I want nothing to do with them.

00:43:00.700 I don't want to be associated

00:43:01.520 with them.

00:43:02.060 But to say that you have

00:43:03.120 to ascribe to the non-racist,

00:43:05.480 pro-liberty,

00:43:06.280 pro-equality ideals

00:43:08.100 that made this country

00:43:09.180 what it is,

00:43:09.980 of course that's true.

00:43:11.300 And you can't do that

00:43:12.280 if we don't know

00:43:13.140 who you are.

00:43:14.040 And so the old immigration 1.00

00:43:15.840 was so well-regulated,

00:43:17.820 was so, you know,

00:43:18.580 people were asked questions.

00:43:19.780 People were given medical tests

00:43:21.700 to see if they had diseases

00:43:22.660 that they were going to spread.

00:43:23.620 This idea that we can

00:43:24.240 just open our borders 0.99

00:43:25.140 and that makes us welcoming

00:43:26.160 and compassionate

00:43:26.800 is nonsense.

00:43:27.660 And by the way,

00:43:27.960 the virulence of this idea

00:43:29.100 that immigration 1.00

00:43:29.980 should be race-based, 1.00

00:43:31.220 which is an ugly, ugly idea,

00:43:33.160 the virulence of that idea,

00:43:34.760 I was thinking about this

00:43:35.740 the other day,

00:43:36.180 like why is that cropping up now?

00:43:38.260 And I will say

00:43:39.020 that I think that the left

00:43:39.820 has a heavy hand of blame here

00:43:41.420 because I think that the left

00:43:42.520 has spent years claiming

00:43:43.760 that there is going to be

00:43:44.880 a demographic change

00:43:45.820 in the country

00:43:46.300 and that the demographics

00:43:47.060 of the country are destiny, right?

00:43:48.200 They keep saying this.

00:43:48.900 They wrote books about this.

00:43:49.820 They would say,

00:43:50.360 well, you know,

00:43:50.840 there will come a day

00:43:51.500 when there's a non-white majority

00:43:52.620 in America

00:43:53.080 and that inevitably means

00:43:54.380 that there will be a change

00:43:55.080 in the politics.

00:43:55.700 And I thought to myself,

00:43:56.300 well, that is pure,

00:43:57.340 unbridled racism.

00:43:58.420 You are now saying

00:43:59.220 that because there are more Hispanics

00:44:00.480 in the country,

00:44:01.220 then therefore that means

00:44:02.240 that necessarily

00:44:03.080 there will be more leftists

00:44:04.560 in the country.

00:44:05.400 And then you're saying,

00:44:06.000 I want to bring in

00:44:06.580 millions more illegal immigrants

00:44:08.200 across the border

00:44:08.860 and then give them amnesty.

00:44:09.740 So what do you think

00:44:10.240 people are going to think?

00:44:11.180 I mean, the people

00:44:12.160 who are reacting with racism

00:44:13.660 are not doing any better.

00:44:15.100 They're doing it just as badly. 0.98

00:44:17.160 They're horrible. 1.00

00:44:17.900 All of them are horrible. 0.99

00:44:18.780 The whole point is that 0.82

00:44:19.660 immigration, again,

00:44:20.340 should be driven by ideas.

00:44:21.460 And the fact that the left

00:44:22.920 has said a couple of things.

00:44:24.080 I wrote an entire column

00:44:25.520 about this this week

00:44:26.320 because there's an interesting piece

00:44:27.340 by Yoni Applebaum

00:44:28.040 in The Atlantic

00:44:28.560 suggesting, well,

00:44:29.720 Republicans seem to have forgotten

00:44:30.880 about the idea

00:44:31.500 that their ideas

00:44:32.920 can appeal to anybody.

00:44:34.200 Instead, they're just suggesting

00:44:35.360 that their ideas

00:44:35.920 can only appeal

00:44:36.560 to a certain racial subset

00:44:37.680 and that is why

00:44:38.500 they keep going back

00:44:39.100 to the white working class.

00:44:40.180 And I thought to myself,

00:44:40.880 well, no, that's not true.

00:44:42.700 But it is true 0.94

00:44:43.400 that the left has been saying

00:44:44.440 that conservative ideas

00:44:45.600 can only apply

00:44:46.340 to a certain subset,

00:44:47.520 namely white working class people maybe,

00:44:49.260 and that everybody else

00:44:50.220 is not susceptible

00:44:51.040 to conservative ideas.

00:44:52.620 I think, to be fair,

00:44:53.840 to be fair for a moment,

00:44:55.200 that Republican politicians

00:44:57.260 have been feckless

00:44:58.140 when it comes to walking in

00:45:00.000 to neighborhoods

00:45:01.180 where we're not usually welcome

00:45:03.200 and making their case.

00:45:04.420 And the reason they're feckless about it

00:45:05.960 is because they're afraid.

00:45:06.580 They're afraid

00:45:06.980 because every time Mitt Romney did it,

00:45:08.360 he went to the NAACP,

00:45:10.040 and they said,

00:45:10.380 how dare,

00:45:11.760 they actually said this, 0.99

00:45:12.840 how dare you tell black people 1.00

00:45:14.160 they should start businesses 1.00

00:45:15.220 when they can't even

00:45:16.100 hold bank accounts.

00:45:17.100 This is what the Democrats said.

00:45:18.700 And if we don't go in

00:45:19.760 and make the argument,

00:45:20.660 I mean, that's the thing

00:45:21.360 you've got to love about Trump.

00:45:22.520 He said,

00:45:22.880 what have you got to lose?

00:45:24.040 Why don't you sign up

00:45:25.060 and see what happens?

00:45:26.040 And if anybody who did sign up

00:45:27.560 who is a person of color,

00:45:29.180 as they say now,

00:45:29.960 is doing really well

00:45:31.020 because of Donald Trump.

00:45:32.440 And yet, and yet,

00:45:33.480 I mean, look at Rudy Giuliani.

00:45:35.120 I know Rudy Giuliani today 0.90

00:45:36.220 is kind of a loop loony,

00:45:37.860 but he was one of the greatest mayors,

00:45:39.460 if not the greatest mayor

00:45:40.340 New York ever had.

00:45:41.200 And he turned New York around

00:45:42.220 from a cesspit,

00:45:42.980 which I lived in,

00:45:44.280 to one of the greatest world,

00:45:45.860 probably the greatest city on earth.

00:45:47.440 And that was almost all Giuliani.

00:45:49.820 Every single day,

00:45:51.040 he was called a racist.

00:45:52.320 His policy saved

00:45:53.620 an estimated 4,000 black lives.

00:45:56.300 And now today,

00:45:57.020 they're saying,

00:45:57.260 well, it was mass imprisonment.

00:45:59.020 Nobody was put in prison in mass.

00:46:00.820 People were put in prison

00:46:01.580 for breaking the law.

00:46:02.340 Individually.

00:46:03.320 One at a time.

00:46:04.400 I actually think

00:46:05.120 it's a fairly simple question,

00:46:06.940 and there's historical precedent

00:46:08.180 for it, too.

00:46:09.120 And I think it is entirely

00:46:10.740 the left's fault.

00:46:11.700 And I don't think

00:46:12.800 there's anything wrong

00:46:13.360 with saying that.

00:46:14.220 We right now

00:46:14.780 have the highest

00:46:15.480 foreign-born population

00:46:16.680 as a percentage

00:46:18.200 of the total

00:46:18.700 American population

00:46:19.520 that we've had since 1890,

00:46:21.200 which was another period

00:46:21.860 of mass immigration 0.83

00:46:22.640 when many of our ancestors

00:46:23.880 came over here,

00:46:24.580 some of mine included.

00:46:25.780 And this created

00:46:26.940 an assimilation crisis.

00:46:28.580 And that was at a time

00:46:29.480 when there was

00:46:30.100 great encouragement

00:46:31.120 to assimilate.

00:46:32.120 And this led to tighter

00:46:32.960 immigration controls

00:46:33.840 from the early 20th century

00:46:35.580 up until 1965

00:46:36.640 when Teddy Kennedy

00:46:37.780 opened up the floodgates again.

00:46:39.540 And now we have

00:46:40.420 not only 1.2 million

00:46:42.340 legal immigrants

00:46:43.000 coming every year,

00:46:43.780 but an extra million

00:46:44.640 illegal aliens

00:46:45.380 coming on top of that.

00:46:46.780 Assimilation is very, 1.00

00:46:47.900 very difficult,

00:46:48.780 even in the best of times.

00:46:49.820 That's right.

00:46:50.200 When you have the entire

00:46:50.960 left in this country

00:46:51.880 actively encouraging you

00:46:53.480 not to assimilate,

00:46:54.760 that is going to create

00:46:55.860 the crisis that people

00:46:56.860 are experiencing now.

00:46:58.220 In the 1990s,

00:46:59.240 you had William F. Buckley, Jr.

00:47:00.840 and Arianna Huffington,

00:47:02.180 of all people,

00:47:03.020 arguing for drastically

00:47:04.160 lowering rates

00:47:04.960 of legal immigration.

00:47:06.180 Because they were

00:47:06.760 racist bigots?

00:47:07.880 No, absolutely not.

00:47:09.020 But because of this problem

00:47:10.260 of assimilation,

00:47:11.280 and because America

00:47:12.020 is so great

00:47:13.100 and has historically

00:47:13.940 been so welcoming

00:47:14.720 to immigrants

00:47:15.220 that you want to be able

00:47:16.320 to preserve that.

00:47:17.380 If we simply told the left

00:47:18.660 we're not going to take it anymore,

00:47:20.080 you're not going to bully us on this,

00:47:21.700 we are going to assimilate people 0.99

00:47:23.080 to American culture.

00:47:24.460 If that means a reduction

00:47:25.300 in immigration

00:47:25.900 for some period of time,

00:47:27.120 that's what we're going to do,

00:47:28.380 and you can't stop us.

00:47:29.340 If we just had a little backbone

00:47:30.880 on that issue.

00:47:31.500 By the way,

00:47:31.800 we should define this also

00:47:32.780 because the fact is that

00:47:33.740 if you look at the studies,

00:47:34.780 what the studies tend to show

00:47:35.620 is that people do learn

00:47:36.420 the English language

00:47:37.120 at about the same rate

00:47:37.820 they were learning

00:47:38.240 the English language before.

00:47:39.160 There is assimilation going on 0.97

00:47:40.300 in terms of the English language,

00:47:41.240 but that's not really

00:47:42.000 what people are talking about.

00:47:42.940 What people are really talking about

00:47:43.920 is level of belief

00:47:45.260 in the government running lives.

00:47:47.220 But this is actually

00:47:48.300 the real problem.

00:47:49.860 Yes.

00:47:51.020 So, you know,

00:47:51.880 when conservatives will say

00:47:53.400 some illegal immigrant 1.00

00:47:55.600 will rape someone 1.00

00:47:56.960 or murder someone, 0.99

00:47:57.840 and then they make a big to-do

00:47:59.340 about the fact that that happened,

00:48:00.800 and then the left will say, 0.99

00:48:02.200 Americans rape each other 1.00

00:48:03.300 all the time, 1.00

00:48:03.760 Americans murder each other 1.00

00:48:05.220 all the time,

00:48:05.740 we understand that

00:48:06.600 the reason it's different

00:48:07.620 when an illegal immigrant does it 1.00

00:48:09.880 is because,

00:48:11.300 yes,

00:48:11.560 all people are flawed

00:48:12.420 and you're going to have

00:48:12.920 rapes and murders

00:48:13.540 even if you don't have immigration.

00:48:15.600 But why should you have to have 0.97

00:48:17.020 this rape or this murder 0.76

00:48:18.360 from someone who didn't have

00:48:19.900 the legal right to be here?

00:48:20.920 This one could have been prevented,

00:48:22.720 and we know exactly

00:48:23.500 how it could have been prevented.

00:48:25.180 The same is true here,

00:48:26.420 I think,

00:48:26.920 almost in reverse.

00:48:28.400 We're saying

00:48:28.960 it's bad that people

00:48:30.560 come into the country 1.00

00:48:31.540 and they don't assimilate

00:48:33.940 to the traditional American ethic,

00:48:35.980 the traditional American set of values,

00:48:38.020 the creed.

00:48:39.360 But the fundamental problem is

00:48:41.260 we're not inculcating that creed

00:48:43.140 in actual Americans today.

00:48:45.140 This is exactly right.

00:48:46.540 You can't say

00:48:47.820 an immigrant should have to. 1.00

00:48:48.140 It turns out that assimilation 1.00

00:48:49.060 to the free market

00:48:49.620 is very easy

00:48:50.200 when there's no welfare state.

00:48:51.360 And it turns out

00:48:51.900 when there's an enormous

00:48:52.500 welfare state,

00:48:53.280 then it changes the nature

00:48:54.600 of people who are going to come here.

00:48:55.600 You draw a different crowd

00:48:56.240 when you leave the front door open

00:48:57.500 and save free donuts, right?

00:48:58.880 If you're a legal immigrant

00:48:59.520 and you want to become a citizen,

00:49:00.540 you have to take a test.

00:49:02.480 Most Americans can't pass the test.

00:49:03.740 That's right.

00:49:04.080 It is more than even

00:49:08.360 just having them agree

00:49:09.200 to a few things.

00:49:10.260 It is also about

00:49:11.440 American customs

00:49:12.500 and hot dogs

00:49:13.700 on the 4th of July.

00:49:14.860 And you have the left

00:49:15.620 in this country

00:49:16.140 saying that the American flag,

00:49:18.300 the symbol of the country itself.

00:49:19.580 And that cultural appropriation,

00:49:21.140 the best thing

00:49:21.660 about this country,

00:49:22.540 the best thing

00:49:23.040 about this country

00:49:23.500 is come in,

00:49:24.100 we'll wear your funny hat,

00:49:25.140 but you have to be free.

00:49:26.120 We'll eat your food,

00:49:27.400 but you have to be free.

00:49:28.660 That's all we ask.

00:49:29.480 I mean,

00:49:29.720 it's a wonderful thing

00:49:30.880 that we culturally appropriate things for.

00:49:32.520 I promise that this is probably

00:49:33.640 the last time that Beto O'Rourke

00:49:34.680 will ever be mentioned on the show.

00:49:36.200 Beto O'Rourke is.

00:49:36.800 Or anywhere else.

00:49:37.480 Right, exactly, exactly.

00:49:38.700 But this all comes down to the image.

00:49:41.500 You want to know

00:49:41.980 what the immigration problem is

00:49:43.120 right now in America.

00:49:44.180 It is the image of Beto O'Rourke

00:49:46.080 standing in front of new immigrants

00:49:47.800 to the United States

00:49:48.640 and talking about how America

00:49:49.720 is indubitably racist

00:49:51.000 and will continue to be racist forever 0.99

00:49:52.840 and why America is terrible. 0.83

00:49:54.260 And always was.

00:49:54.680 That's the whole thing.

00:49:55.680 That's the whole thing.

00:49:56.620 They openly say this.

00:49:58.060 This is the thing.

00:49:58.700 Sometimes I listen to myself

00:50:00.280 and I think you sound

00:50:00.960 like a conspiracy theorist

00:50:02.040 except they actually come out

00:50:03.380 and say this.

00:50:03.880 That America was never great.

00:50:05.400 America was founded on racism.

00:50:07.120 All these things

00:50:07.500 which are literally untrue.

00:50:09.400 Also,

00:50:10.000 they're only for people

00:50:10.660 who've never lived

00:50:11.200 outside the country.

00:50:12.180 I lived outside the country

00:50:12.920 seven years.

00:50:13.480 This is the least racist country.

00:50:16.500 It's not the least racist country.

00:50:16.660 There are studies to prove this.

00:50:17.960 It's not the third.

00:50:18.780 And if you want numbers to prove it,

00:50:20.280 there are numbers to prove it.

00:50:21.000 There's a Swedish study

00:50:21.740 that investigated

00:50:23.080 how many Americans

00:50:24.020 versus other countries

00:50:25.000 were willing and interested

00:50:26.380 in living in a neighbor

00:50:27.300 who did not share their race.

00:50:28.440 America came in 0.98

00:50:29.040 at the top of the list.

00:50:29.800 Of course.

00:50:30.140 Ask somebody in France

00:50:31.140 that question.

00:50:31.800 Ask somebody in Japan

00:50:32.580 that question.

00:50:34.380 It's as though America 0.80

00:50:35.240 doesn't exist in the world

00:50:36.500 and it's just like

00:50:37.420 this weird island bubble

00:50:40.200 and that you get to pick

00:50:41.560 on every flaw in America

00:50:42.540 without reference to the fact

00:50:43.640 that anything else

00:50:44.580 has ever existed.

00:50:45.200 That's right.

00:50:45.640 Anytime they use the word

00:50:47.000 American something,

00:50:48.320 it's always a lie

00:50:49.140 because they'll say

00:50:49.620 American racism.

00:50:50.500 You think,

00:50:50.920 is that different

00:50:51.380 than other racism?

00:50:52.260 Yeah, there's less of it.

00:50:53.160 That's the difference.

00:50:54.020 I also think that it's funny

00:50:55.140 that people take arbitrary moments

00:50:57.040 in history

00:50:57.720 that aren't connected

00:50:58.380 to practical human experience

00:51:00.060 and they make that the moment

00:51:01.360 when something really,

00:51:02.220 really, really, really mattered.

00:51:03.740 So we've been fighting 0.88

00:51:04.620 with the racist anti-Semites 0.86

00:51:06.840 on the alt-right 0.97

00:51:07.480 a little bit

00:51:08.160 over the last few weeks

00:51:08.900 and they all want to focus

00:51:09.880 on this event

00:51:10.800 surrounding the USS Liberty

00:51:12.260 which was an American naval vessel

00:51:14.400 that was bombed

00:51:15.020 by the Israelis in the 60s.

00:51:16.660 When Ben was giving

00:51:17.220 a speech last night,

00:51:18.060 people were in the comments

00:51:18.800 going,

00:51:19.340 we need reparations

00:51:20.260 for the USS Liberty

00:51:21.180 and I thought,

00:51:22.140 we got them.

00:51:23.080 We didn't want to get them.

00:51:23.680 Literally,

00:51:24.080 literally,

00:51:25.220 literally,

00:51:25.480 but nevertheless,

00:51:27.120 I always think

00:51:27.540 you're going back

00:51:28.440 to the 1960s

00:51:29.760 to make an argument

00:51:30.980 which even if you're right

00:51:32.120 about the event

00:51:32.880 and I don't think you are,

00:51:34.120 even if you're right,

00:51:35.160 your argument is that

00:51:36.020 50 years ago,

00:51:37.720 Israel pursued its interest 0.98

00:51:39.520 which did not align

00:51:41.440 with an American interest.

00:51:42.620 To Michael Knowles' point,

00:51:44.020 go back 150 years before that

00:51:45.740 and the British burned the white house.

00:51:47.200 This is how you know.

00:51:48.620 But this is how it is

00:51:49.340 with the slavery argument too.

00:51:50.600 Like,

00:51:51.540 America abolishes slavery

00:51:53.320 in 1865.

00:51:54.460 The British Empire

00:51:56.180 abolished slavery

00:51:57.060 in the 1840s.

00:51:58.700 So somehow,

00:51:59.820 now,

00:52:00.420 150 years later,

00:52:02.880 the fundamental distinction

00:52:04.840 between a good country

00:52:06.040 and a bad country

00:52:06.900 is a 20-year gap in time

00:52:09.680 a century and a half before.

00:52:12.540 Otherwise,

00:52:13.020 we'd be talking about

00:52:13.820 how Britain has a...

00:52:15.460 They obviously don't care about that.

00:52:17.320 Brazil didn't outlaw 0.92

00:52:18.160 slavery until 1880.

00:52:19.620 But why does nobody talk

00:52:20.440 about the original sin

00:52:22.180 of Great Britain,

00:52:22.900 slavery baked into

00:52:24.800 the DNA of Great Britain?

00:52:26.380 Right,

00:52:26.560 because Britain was the first country

00:52:27.660 to get rid of it.

00:52:28.260 The United States

00:52:28.820 was acting very quickly

00:52:30.120 from the founding

00:52:30.720 to actually limit

00:52:31.440 the importation of slaves.

00:52:32.920 This is why...

00:52:33.320 Because Great Britain

00:52:34.120 got rid of it

00:52:34.680 20 years before America 0.74

00:52:35.880 got rid of it

00:52:36.740 and America had to fight

00:52:37.940 its bloodiest war

00:52:38.820 in order to do it.

00:52:41.960 I'm just saying

00:52:42.660 that it's an absurdity

00:52:43.900 to suggest

00:52:44.520 that we're guilty of it

00:52:45.840 and the British

00:52:46.260 are somehow free of the guilt.

00:52:47.660 This is why I detest the press

00:52:50.860 and why I support Trump

00:52:52.660 100% in his war on the press.

00:52:55.380 You go...

00:52:55.940 We live in L.A., right?

00:52:57.360 You go...

00:52:57.820 I was...

00:52:58.280 The other day,

00:52:58.880 I was with my wife

00:52:59.580 at a mommy burger

00:53:00.380 and while she was talking,

00:53:01.600 I was pretending

00:53:02.040 to listen to what she said.

00:53:03.220 I was looking...

00:53:03.940 I can only say that.

00:53:05.380 I can only say that

00:53:05.920 You've been married

00:53:06.380 long enough, exactly.

00:53:07.480 All right.

00:53:08.080 No, I'm looking around the...

00:53:09.380 At this point,

00:53:09.860 she's too old. 1.00

00:53:10.420 You both are too old

00:53:11.200 for you guys

00:53:11.580 to get divorced enough, right?

00:53:12.640 I mean, it's like...

00:53:13.240 It's too late.

00:53:14.320 I'm looking around the room

00:53:15.520 and there's Muslim people,

00:53:17.240 there's Jewish people.

00:53:18.140 I mean, openly,

00:53:18.860 you know,

00:53:19.120 wearing yarmulkes 0.92

00:53:20.000 and black people

00:53:21.700 and white people,

00:53:22.360 gay people and straight people.

00:53:23.540 It's L.A., right?

00:53:25.100 Everybody's there

00:53:25.680 and everybody's getting along fine.

00:53:27.260 In fact, there's some of the...

00:53:27.960 There were straight people there in L.A. 0.96

00:53:29.160 That's why I was there.

00:53:30.140 And a mommy burger?

00:53:31.360 And everybody's sitting there

00:53:32.680 getting along fine

00:53:33.420 and it's the press

00:53:34.420 that gives a bullhorn

00:53:37.060 to these people.

00:53:38.240 It's so true. 0.84

00:53:39.020 I remember I was sitting...

00:53:39.840 It makes us hate you.

00:53:40.440 I had this exact experience.

00:53:41.640 I was sitting with David Mamet

00:53:42.860 and we were having lunch

00:53:43.760 and it was in a restaurant

00:53:45.220 in Santa Monica

00:53:46.100 and I'm just dropping his name

00:53:46.940 because he's very famous

00:53:47.560 and an excellent writer.

00:53:48.740 And you haven't had...

00:53:49.640 And most of the people

00:53:50.320 in our audience

00:53:50.660 have not had lunch

00:53:51.480 with David Mamet.

00:53:52.160 So I've had lunch with David Mamet.

00:53:53.440 Hold on.

00:53:53.720 So you're telling me

00:53:54.220 who did you have lunch with?

00:53:55.780 It rhymes with David Mamet.

00:53:56.880 In any case,

00:53:57.900 David Mamet and I

00:53:58.560 were sitting together

00:53:59.020 and it was me and David Mamet

00:53:59.920 and David Mamet

00:54:00.620 was talking

00:54:01.140 and as we looked around

00:54:02.300 the restaurant

00:54:02.660 everybody looked at the fact

00:54:03.480 that David Mamet

00:54:04.020 was sitting there with me.

00:54:05.320 As we looked around

00:54:06.260 this restaurant

00:54:06.720 it's in the middle

00:54:07.460 of Santa Monica

00:54:08.560 close to Westwood Boulevard.

00:54:10.300 It's gorgeous outside.

00:54:11.540 It's beautiful.

00:54:12.180 Everybody is sitting there

00:54:13.000 in the middle of lunchtime

00:54:13.920 taking a long lunch.

00:54:15.200 It's 1.30 in the afternoon.

00:54:16.680 We're sitting there.

00:54:17.860 And David Mamet's writer

00:54:18.660 so it doesn't matter

00:54:19.240 if David Mamet is at home.

00:54:20.620 And everybody is drinking

00:54:22.560 these $100 bottles of wine

00:54:24.420 at the low end.

00:54:25.820 And I just looked around

00:54:27.080 and I thought

00:54:27.360 if I pulled this room right now

00:54:28.760 and I said

00:54:29.380 how close are we

00:54:30.060 to a civil war?

00:54:31.040 95% of the people

00:54:32.060 in this room would say

00:54:32.620 we are this close

00:54:33.560 to a civil war.

00:54:34.400 And I just thought to myself

00:54:35.060 but they can't be bothered

00:54:36.020 to get up from their drinks

00:54:37.700 to actually think about this

00:54:39.220 for five seconds

00:54:39.840 because the fact is

00:54:40.980 they're enjoying their lives.

00:54:41.780 Their lives are pretty,

00:54:42.800 pretty good.

00:54:43.540 These things are good

00:54:44.420 in this country

00:54:44.920 except on TV.

00:54:46.340 I actually think

00:54:47.460 the reason that

00:54:48.240 they're throwing

00:54:48.840 all of this antipathy

00:54:49.760 on the country

00:54:50.320 and discouraging assimilation

00:54:51.520 and everything about America 0.81

00:54:52.760 is awful

00:54:53.120 from Thomas Jefferson

00:54:53.920 to the flag

00:54:54.560 is because of this line.

00:54:56.380 You always hear this.

00:54:57.400 Slavery is the original 0.98

00:54:58.400 sin of America.

00:54:59.520 It's not the original sin

00:55:00.340 of all these other countries.

00:55:01.180 It's just of America.

00:55:02.560 That isn't true.

00:55:03.960 Original sin

00:55:04.800 is the original sin

00:55:05.680 of America.

00:55:06.640 And you've got to look

00:55:07.340 in the mirror

00:55:07.760 to understand that fact

00:55:08.960 and the left doesn't do it.

00:55:10.060 So, Alicia,

00:55:10.900 we're going to hear

00:55:11.280 from some more

00:55:12.020 of our Daily Wire members.

00:55:13.800 All right.

00:55:14.320 Next question

00:55:14.840 from a subscriber.

00:55:15.700 They want to know

00:55:16.060 what are your thoughts

00:55:16.700 on the lawsuit

00:55:17.260 that's being brought

00:55:18.000 against Remington

00:55:18.780 by members

00:55:19.560 of the Sandy Hook families?

00:55:20.740 So, my understanding

00:55:23.720 is that the Supreme Court

00:55:24.600 wrongly turned down

00:55:26.360 a case that was

00:55:27.300 to adjudicate

00:55:27.980 the immunity

00:55:28.760 of firearms manufacturers

00:55:30.620 to lawsuits

00:55:31.580 that were designed

00:55:32.180 to go after

00:55:32.600 firearms manufacturers.

00:55:33.720 So, typically,

00:55:34.500 there's a couple

00:55:35.280 of categories

00:55:35.760 of products liability.

00:55:36.900 You're going to put it

00:55:37.160 on the legal hat

00:55:37.680 for a second.

00:55:38.320 So, in products liability,

00:55:39.360 there's manufacturer liability.

00:55:40.620 So, you manufacture a gun

00:55:41.960 and it's defective

00:55:42.620 and it blows up

00:55:43.220 in somebody's hand.

00:55:44.440 You can be sued for that.

00:55:45.520 There's also a form

00:55:48.300 of basically advertising liability

00:55:50.060 in which you misadvertise

00:55:51.380 a product,

00:55:51.760 you say that it can do something

00:55:52.740 and it can't do something

00:55:53.560 and now you're liable

00:55:54.200 for that.

00:55:55.180 There has never been

00:55:55.920 a category of products liability

00:55:57.260 in which a product

00:55:58.380 is created,

00:55:59.860 it fulfills

00:56:00.460 what it is supposed to do,

00:56:02.640 it is advertised

00:56:03.460 for what it is supposed to do,

00:56:04.920 it does not malfunction,

00:56:06.140 but somebody bad

00:56:06.920 used the product

00:56:07.540 in a bad way

00:56:08.160 and therefore the manufacturer

00:56:09.320 of the product

00:56:09.920 is guilty.

00:56:09.940 It would be like

00:56:10.280 if you sued Gillette

00:56:11.260 because somebody slit

00:56:12.060 someone else's throat

00:56:12.860 with a razor. 0.75

00:56:13.480 Correct.

00:56:13.820 So, the problem was

00:56:14.780 that there were a bunch

00:56:15.300 of these lawsuits

00:56:15.840 that were being filed

00:56:16.380 and as anybody knows

00:56:17.500 about the American tort system,

00:56:18.500 all you have to do

00:56:19.120 is get seven people

00:56:20.280 on a friendly jury

00:56:20.980 and you can rip money away from,

00:56:23.400 and it's very easy

00:56:24.300 in these particular cases

00:56:25.200 because you get a shooting victim

00:56:26.220 who's obviously

00:56:26.800 very sympathetic

00:56:27.300 and should be very sympathetic

00:56:28.220 talking about a gun manufacturer

00:56:29.920 who's very rich

00:56:30.560 and very wealthy

00:56:31.100 and they're making weapons of war,

00:56:33.260 right,

00:56:33.420 and you just get

00:56:33.860 eight, nine jurors

00:56:35.040 to say,

00:56:35.600 okay, well,

00:56:36.100 they can afford

00:56:36.760 to give a million bucks

00:56:37.460 to this poor kid

00:56:38.120 who's now in a wheelchair 0.98

00:56:39.100 because some jackass shot him, 0.98

00:56:41.080 right, 0.97

00:56:41.220 and so what you ended up with

00:56:42.260 was a bunch of cases

00:56:44.080 in the early 90s,

00:56:45.040 a bunch of cases

00:56:45.860 in which manufacturers

00:56:47.180 were paying out

00:56:47.880 exorbitant sums of money

00:56:49.020 to people who had been shot

00:56:50.300 in these sorts of cases.

00:56:51.180 So Congress comes along

00:56:52.080 in the mid-2000s,

00:56:53.000 they pass a law

00:56:53.860 that grants immunity

00:56:54.940 to lawsuit

00:56:55.900 to manufacturers of firearms

00:56:57.800 saying this is not

00:56:58.880 a special class

00:56:59.660 of manufacturers

00:57:00.800 who suddenly are,

00:57:02.140 we've created a new class

00:57:03.400 of liability

00:57:03.920 just for firearms

00:57:04.700 or anything.

00:57:05.200 It was just re-enshrining

00:57:06.360 the basic tort liability stance

00:57:07.860 that you cannot be held liable

00:57:10.440 for somebody misusing

00:57:11.340 your product

00:57:11.860 or using your product

00:57:12.920 in the way it was intended

00:57:13.640 to be used

00:57:14.080 but using it

00:57:14.560 against the wrong target,

00:57:15.800 right,

00:57:15.960 like if you,

00:57:17.120 a knife,

00:57:17.880 it is meant to stab,

00:57:19.380 right,

00:57:19.600 it stabs many things, 0.94

00:57:20.680 it can be used to stab

00:57:21.580 people who are innocent 0.82

00:57:22.820 as O.J. Simpson

00:57:23.700 will tell you.

00:57:24.420 So the fact is,

00:57:25.500 like,

00:57:25.800 could Nicole Brown Simpson's family

00:57:27.480 then sue the manufacturer

00:57:28.800 of the knife?

00:57:30.420 Cutco.

00:57:30.860 Right,

00:57:31.200 Cutco for any of this

00:57:32.460 and the answer of course

00:57:32.980 is no.

00:57:33.380 So this goes to the Supreme Court,

00:57:34.800 the Supreme Court

00:57:35.420 turns down the case

00:57:36.800 and has basically reopened

00:57:38.240 the liability

00:57:39.200 into gun manufacturers

00:57:40.300 and the left is celebrating

00:57:41.100 because they feel like,

00:57:41.920 okay,

00:57:41.980 now we're going to launch

00:57:42.520 a bunch of lawsuits

00:57:43.200 against these gun manufacturers

00:57:44.680 in an attempt

00:57:45.020 to put them out of business.

00:57:45.980 You've already seen

00:57:46.460 some of the gun manufacturers

00:57:47.400 starting to carve off

00:57:49.000 different portions

00:57:49.740 of their company

00:57:50.320 and bifurcate the company

00:57:51.480 to prevent liability

00:57:52.420 from spilling over

00:57:53.140 into every area

00:57:53.760 of the company

00:57:54.200 so they will create

00:57:54.980 an advertising liability,

00:57:56.740 basically a separate

00:57:57.600 advertising company

00:57:58.320 for Remington

00:57:58.900 because the lawsuits

00:57:59.960 are generally based on

00:58:00.840 you advertised this gun widely

00:58:02.280 and then somebody who's bad

00:58:03.380 saw the advertisement

00:58:04.240 and then bought the gun

00:58:05.100 so they're trying

00:58:06.000 to carve this up

00:58:06.620 but look,

00:58:07.220 all this really is

00:58:07.900 is about an anti-gun agenda.

00:58:09.560 It is not really

00:58:10.220 about a pro-victim agenda

00:58:12.640 any more than it would be

00:58:13.580 a pro-victim agenda

00:58:14.420 to allow a liability class

00:58:16.440 against a knife manufacturer.

00:58:18.840 That's the legal breakdown.

00:58:20.120 Alicia,

00:58:20.640 let's hear from one more subscriber.

00:58:22.100 All right.

00:58:22.540 A Cuban-American subscriber

00:58:23.900 wants to let you all know

00:58:24.780 that he plans on voting

00:58:25.680 for Donald Trump

00:58:26.480 and what can Trump

00:58:27.460 and the Republican Party

00:58:28.300 do in order to gain

00:58:29.360 more of the Hispanic vote

00:58:30.560 which he thinks

00:58:31.480 will be decisive

00:58:32.380 in following elections.

00:58:33.680 Well, Michael Knowles,

00:58:34.280 you once played a Cuban

00:58:35.220 in an independent film.

00:58:36.560 That's true.

00:58:36.940 I think you're

00:58:37.320 the most qualified people.

00:58:38.540 That's true.

00:58:39.180 I've always enjoyed

00:58:40.340 Cuban people

00:58:41.420 and Cuban products

00:58:42.240 as a matter of fact.

00:58:43.780 There is,

00:58:44.620 actually this gets

00:58:45.440 into the immigration question

00:58:46.660 because one argument

00:58:48.380 that you could always use

00:58:49.220 against the bigot people

00:58:50.880 is you point out

00:58:52.500 that when they say

00:58:53.400 that all of the Hispanic vote

00:58:55.360 votes to the left,

00:58:56.200 that isn't true

00:58:57.180 of Cuban immigrants.

00:58:58.360 Why?

00:58:58.600 Because they've just left

00:58:59.240 this horrific totalitarian

00:59:00.940 communist regime

00:59:01.860 and so they come here.

00:59:03.180 But over generations,

00:59:05.140 the share of Cuban Americans

00:59:06.500 who vote for Republicans

00:59:07.680 diminishes throughout

00:59:09.180 the generations.

00:59:10.520 This is true

00:59:11.080 if you look at

00:59:11.880 all millennials,

00:59:13.120 if you look at all Gen Z,

00:59:14.100 if you look at

00:59:14.880 any number of different races.

00:59:16.420 That's probably true

00:59:16.920 of Russian expatriates as well.

00:59:18.060 Exactly.

00:59:19.080 Who no longer remember.

00:59:20.580 They don't remember

00:59:21.740 because that has been lost.

00:59:23.820 That becomes

00:59:24.900 a problem of education.

00:59:26.280 I don't think that the GOP

00:59:27.480 needs slicker advertising.

00:59:29.320 I don't think that's

00:59:30.080 going to do it

00:59:30.640 because the advertising

00:59:31.740 actually begins

00:59:32.580 in kindergarten.

00:59:33.700 The people who don't have 0.98

00:59:34.980 a generational memory

00:59:36.180 of communism

00:59:37.040 are learning from

00:59:38.060 K through 12

00:59:38.960 and when they read

00:59:39.780 the New York Times

00:59:40.340 and the Washington Post

00:59:41.180 that actually

00:59:42.360 communism was really great

00:59:43.720 and actually

00:59:44.500 America's really terrible.

00:59:46.240 You're not going to fix this

00:59:47.460 on the political level.

00:59:48.260 You have to get

00:59:49.000 into the institutions,

00:59:50.180 not just colleges,

00:59:51.160 not even just high schools,

00:59:52.180 but middle school

00:59:52.680 and elementary school too.

00:59:53.920 Good luck doing that.

00:59:55.200 Man.

00:59:55.860 So let's talk about

00:59:56.360 our friends over at

00:59:57.020 Policy Genius,

00:59:58.000 another one of the great companies

00:59:59.040 that keeps us on the air

00:59:59.960 and has been a huge supporter

01:00:00.940 of the backstage show

01:00:01.840 in particular.

01:00:04.200 I think all of you guys

01:00:05.520 have had some good experiences

01:00:06.360 with Policy Genius, yeah?

01:00:07.560 Indeed.

01:00:08.240 Absolutely.

01:00:08.920 It's a great website,

01:00:09.880 first of all.

01:00:10.300 You go on,

01:00:10.660 it's so easy to maneuver

01:00:11.660 through it.

01:00:12.320 And I mean,

01:00:12.680 the one thing you don't want

01:00:13.660 is you don't want guys

01:00:14.240 knocking on your door

01:00:15.080 selling your life insurance.

01:00:16.320 You go on there,

01:00:16.940 they don't push you

01:00:17.560 to take anything.

01:00:18.520 They just give you all the,

01:00:19.720 they let you compare

01:00:20.440 the products.

01:00:21.360 It's really the perfect way

01:00:22.440 to do this without having

01:00:23.360 people break down your door.

01:00:24.860 I mean,

01:00:25.000 for those who don't know,

01:00:25.780 you should have life insurance.

01:00:26.520 Yes.

01:00:26.960 Okay, everyone should have

01:00:27.740 life insurance,

01:00:28.400 particularly Drew.

01:00:29.160 But all of us should have life,

01:00:30.420 and me as it turns out.

01:00:31.520 I don't know why my wife 0.98

01:00:33.600 keeps taking out more and more

01:00:34.660 on me,

01:00:34.880 I'm not sure what that is.

01:00:36.520 But if you don't have

01:00:37.520 life insurance,

01:00:37.960 you should go get some.

01:00:38.680 It's open enrollment season

01:00:39.500 so people are getting

01:00:40.160 life insurance through their employer

01:00:41.300 and they think that that's sufficient.

01:00:42.600 Generally not sufficient.

01:00:43.480 You probably need more

01:00:44.180 than your employer can provide

01:00:45.540 and you should have

01:00:46.120 private life insurance also

01:00:47.140 because that way

01:00:47.960 if you lose your job,

01:00:48.580 you don't lose your life insurance.

01:00:49.600 Right.

01:00:49.960 The people who can help you

01:00:50.760 make that happen,

01:00:51.340 the folks over at Policy Genius,

01:00:52.520 it's the easy way to shop

01:00:53.420 for a life insurance plan

01:00:54.360 that is not tied to your job

01:00:55.620 in minutes.

01:00:56.420 You can compare quotes

01:00:57.140 from top insurers

01:00:57.840 and find your best price.

01:00:58.940 Once you apply,

01:00:59.640 the Policy Genius team

01:01:00.500 handles all the paperwork

01:01:01.320 and the red tape.

01:01:02.420 The life insurance you buy

01:01:03.140 through Policy Genius

01:01:03.900 stays with you

01:01:04.600 even if you leave your job.

01:01:06.160 So when you're looking

01:01:06.800 at workplace benefits this month,

01:01:08.240 make sure to double check

01:01:08.940 your life insurance options

01:01:09.820 and then head on over

01:01:10.520 to our friends

01:01:11.060 over at PolicyGenius.com

01:01:12.460 to get quotes

01:01:12.920 and apply in minutes.

01:01:13.520 By the way,

01:01:13.780 they also do auto insurance

01:01:14.720 and disability insurance

01:01:15.940 and home insurance.

01:01:16.620 They're your one-stop shop

01:01:17.680 for insurance,

01:01:18.840 which is great

01:01:19.160 because you don't want to stop

01:01:19.720 more than once for insurance.

01:01:21.100 PolicyGenius.com

01:01:21.820 get quotes, apply in minutes.

01:01:23.100 PolicyGenius is the easy way

01:01:24.100 to compare and buy life insurance

01:01:25.420 and all those other types

01:01:26.320 of insurance that I mentioned as well.

01:01:28.400 Alicia.

01:01:29.520 Are you still awake over there, Alicia?

01:01:30.780 Are you still alive, Alicia?

01:01:32.420 Barely.

01:01:32.940 I've been up since 1 a.m.

01:01:34.200 Don't ask.

01:01:35.220 What?

01:01:35.620 Well, now I'm going to ask.

01:01:36.900 Why have you been up since 1 a.m.?

01:01:37.920 Oh, because, you know,

01:01:39.100 some god king decided

01:01:40.120 to do backstage tonight

01:01:41.420 and I had to come back

01:01:42.400 for a moment.

01:01:43.800 I think that's me. 1.00

01:01:45.260 No wonder people hate their balls. 0.99

01:01:47.200 Sometimes give people 1.00

01:01:48.120 what they want

01:01:49.320 and ask more questions of y'all

01:01:51.620 from the subscribers

01:01:52.540 over on DailyWire.com.

01:01:54.000 So this is a two-part question.

01:01:55.260 It's going to be pretty interesting.

01:01:56.320 I think it'd be cool

01:01:57.460 to hear all the guys' take on this.

01:01:58.960 How long do you think

01:01:59.740 it will be before conservatives

01:02:00.940 can take back California

01:02:02.220 and how likely is it

01:02:04.180 that the god king's

01:02:04.980 home state of Texas

01:02:05.840 turns Democrat

01:02:06.700 this election cycle?

01:02:07.680 Yeah, that's a genuine danger.

01:02:09.580 I think, you know,

01:02:10.100 I was just talking

01:02:10.720 to a guy from Texas

01:02:11.480 and he says,

01:02:12.100 he was kind of bragging about it.

01:02:13.140 He said,

01:02:13.280 all these people

01:02:13.900 are coming in from California.

01:02:15.140 And I said,

01:02:15.680 well, I hope they don't

01:02:16.260 ruin your state.

01:02:17.220 And his face fell.

01:02:18.320 He hadn't thought of that.

01:02:19.400 That may be that.

01:02:19.800 Although, you know,

01:02:20.780 this is not true.

01:02:21.200 This is not right.

01:02:21.800 As a bona fide Texan,

01:02:23.800 I will tell you

01:02:24.440 that during the last election

01:02:25.920 when Ted Cruz

01:02:26.520 was running against,

01:02:27.400 I hate to name it again,

01:02:28.700 but we never would.

01:02:29.620 This is the most press

01:02:30.460 Beto has gotten

01:02:31.340 in like weeks, right?

01:02:33.140 He's not feeding

01:02:33.700 the dirt in Utah.

01:02:35.560 I mean,

01:02:35.680 here we are talking about it.

01:02:36.440 It'd be funny

01:02:36.880 if he surged to like 2%

01:02:38.380 in the Democratic polls.

01:02:39.260 When our friend Ted Cruz

01:02:43.600 was running against

01:02:44.180 Beto O'Rourke

01:02:44.720 for Senate

01:02:45.180 in the last election,

01:02:47.480 they took a look

01:02:48.300 at the polls after.

01:02:49.100 It turns out

01:02:49.780 there was a huge swing

01:02:50.820 in Texas

01:02:51.220 from the last election

01:02:52.960 that had happened

01:02:54.220 in terms of moving left, right?

01:02:56.940 Moving from deep red

01:02:58.260 to dangerously purple.

01:03:00.800 What they found was

01:03:01.980 all of the Californian expats,

01:03:04.980 even all the immigrants,

01:03:06.040 well, that's not fair,

01:03:07.300 all the California expats

01:03:08.480 who had moved

01:03:08.940 into Texas.

01:03:09.660 They all voted

01:03:10.020 for Ted Cruz.

01:03:10.640 Good God.

01:03:11.260 That's one.

01:03:11.600 The problem is Texans. 1.00

01:03:14.420 It's the kids of Texans.

01:03:16.220 That's right.

01:03:16.680 The young people.

01:03:17.500 Right.

01:03:18.080 It's not Marty McFly.

01:03:19.220 It's Marty McFly's kids.

01:03:20.320 That's right.

01:03:20.800 It's the kids, Marty.

01:03:23.840 Something's got

01:03:24.340 to be done about that.

01:03:24.960 I mean, it really is.

01:03:25.760 It's a generational thing

01:03:26.860 and that's the real danger

01:03:28.060 in Texas.

01:03:29.360 Honestly, I think that Texas,

01:03:31.300 it'll be very difficult

01:03:32.040 for Democrats to win Texas

01:03:33.440 in this election cycle,

01:03:34.340 specifically because

01:03:34.980 they're going to nominate 0.97

01:03:35.600 somebody nuts. 0.92

01:03:36.880 And Texas is still,

01:03:38.420 heavy Trump territory.

01:03:40.280 He's lost some in the polls.

01:03:41.940 I find it very,

01:03:43.240 very unlikely.

01:03:44.080 It may actually be

01:03:44.760 that the best thing

01:03:45.340 happening in Texas right now

01:03:46.480 is the Californians

01:03:47.160 keep moving there

01:03:47.780 because the Californians

01:03:48.840 who are leaving California

01:03:49.920 by and large

01:03:50.640 are the Californians

01:03:51.420 who are trying to flee.

01:03:52.360 And there's a whole study

01:03:53.240 done about people

01:03:54.720 who are in California

01:03:55.440 who want to leave

01:03:56.120 and it's entirely

01:03:57.100 red state Californians.

01:03:58.580 This is the thing

01:03:59.200 I would like to ask.

01:04:00.260 I have seen twice in my life,

01:04:02.100 which has now gone on,

01:04:03.060 I don't know,

01:04:03.440 150, 160 years.

01:04:04.780 I have seen twice

01:04:08.700 things that you thought

01:04:10.000 would never turn around

01:04:11.320 that turned around.

01:04:12.200 One was I was in New York

01:04:13.080 in the 70s,

01:04:14.020 which, my God,

01:04:15.260 I mean,

01:04:15.440 you really could not

01:04:16.300 go outside at night

01:04:17.180 without taking your life

01:04:18.140 in your hands.

01:04:18.640 I mean, you had to worry.

01:04:19.680 Death Witch

01:04:19.980 was a documentary.

01:04:21.020 Right.

01:04:21.600 And Giuliani

01:04:22.840 turned that town around,

01:04:24.080 as I said before.

01:04:25.280 I also saw the Carter years,

01:04:26.860 the Jimmy Carter years,

01:04:27.920 when this country was,

01:04:29.200 they called it

01:04:30.080 the time when the West

01:04:31.120 tried to commit suicide.

01:04:31.940 When he was thrown out,

01:04:33.360 all it took was Ronald Reagan

01:04:34.500 to come in

01:04:35.060 and he turned it around.

01:04:36.500 What I want to know

01:04:37.360 is how long,

01:04:38.480 how long are people

01:04:39.400 in California

01:04:40.140 going to put up

01:04:41.180 with the homeless

01:04:41.700 in their streets

01:04:42.340 crapping on their sidewalks?

01:04:44.040 And God knows,

01:04:44.880 I have a heart for the homeless.

01:04:45.900 I really do.

01:04:46.700 It's not about that,

01:04:47.700 but it's not compassionate

01:04:48.500 to leave people out

01:04:49.320 in the streets.

01:04:49.880 It's not compassionate

01:04:50.580 to leave people untreated

01:04:51.480 for mental illness

01:04:52.180 and drug abuse.

01:04:52.940 This is not compassion.

01:04:54.480 How long are people

01:04:55.380 going to stand for that

01:04:56.240 and not think,

01:04:56.960 you know,

01:04:57.680 you know what I might do?

01:04:58.640 I might vote for the other party

01:04:59.880 because Republicans

01:05:00.880 have abandoned the state.

01:05:02.140 They're starting now

01:05:02.920 at grassroots

01:05:03.540 to move back

01:05:04.360 to say,

01:05:04.940 can we rebuild this party?

01:05:06.260 I've been talking

01:05:06.700 to people who are doing it,

01:05:07.760 but it's a long,

01:05:09.100 slow process.

01:05:09.900 I think it's a losing

01:05:10.280 proposition though

01:05:11.240 because,

01:05:11.940 always,

01:05:12.760 I mean,

01:05:13.040 because we are so rich now.

01:05:15.880 People have never been richer

01:05:16.960 in this country

01:05:17.500 than they are today.

01:05:18.300 That means they've never had

01:05:19.380 more geographic mobility.

01:05:21.540 And the fundamental truth

01:05:22.340 goes back to the problem

01:05:23.480 in Texas

01:05:23.920 is the problem in Cali,

01:05:25.240 or the hope for Texas

01:05:26.660 is the problem

01:05:27.360 in California.

01:05:29.000 Everybody who's trying

01:05:29.720 to build a new Republican party

01:05:32.000 in the state of California

01:05:32.940 is having to fight

01:05:33.880 against the fact

01:05:34.420 that every Republican

01:05:35.300 is moving out of California.

01:05:36.260 It's going away.

01:05:36.880 So I actually am not

01:05:38.380 as hopeless about California

01:05:39.720 as I was even maybe

01:05:40.520 a couple of years ago,

01:05:41.420 and that is because

01:05:41.840 California has turned 1.00

01:05:42.500 into a sh**hole. 1.00

01:05:43.740 It really has. 0.99

01:05:45.280 It's a third world country.

01:05:45.780 So let's Donald Trump

01:05:47.920 be condemned

01:05:48.720 for using that word

01:05:49.780 about places

01:05:50.620 that are not the United States.

01:05:51.540 I've lived my entire life

01:05:52.660 in California,

01:05:53.580 with the exception

01:05:54.140 of when I was in law school.

01:05:55.280 Every single moment

01:05:56.080 of my life

01:05:56.560 has been in California.

01:05:57.340 I love this state.

01:05:58.880 I don't have any plans

01:05:59.540 to move from this state.

01:06:00.820 The place is turning horrible.

01:06:01.960 It's a horribly governed state.

01:06:03.400 It's amazing.

01:06:04.060 It's unbelievable.

01:06:05.140 And so I have been urging,

01:06:07.080 I can't tell you

01:06:07.560 how many politicians,

01:06:08.540 people who have run

01:06:09.060 for governor

01:06:09.460 in these races,

01:06:10.580 I've said to them

01:06:11.160 over and over,

01:06:12.180 most recently,

01:06:12.960 Neil Kashkari,

01:06:13.560 I remember saying this

01:06:14.060 to you repeatedly,

01:06:14.940 why are you not running

01:06:16.440 on crime

01:06:17.340 and quality of life?

01:06:18.180 Yes.

01:06:18.740 Why?

01:06:19.440 Why?

01:06:19.980 Even Arnold Schwarzenegger

01:06:20.980 didn't when he ran

01:06:21.600 in 2000 against Gray Davis

01:06:22.700 in the runoff.

01:06:23.620 It was basically just,

01:06:24.620 well, you know,

01:06:25.300 he's a friendly guy

01:06:25.860 who likes education.

01:06:26.580 Remember,

01:06:26.820 his big issue was education.

01:06:28.040 You can't run on education

01:06:29.300 as a Republican

01:06:29.960 and win,

01:06:31.060 even on school vouchers.

01:06:32.060 That's usually not

01:06:32.920 like a huge win.

01:06:33.860 Sometimes it's a little bit

01:06:34.500 of a value add

01:06:34.960 like it was for Ron DeSantis

01:06:35.860 in Florida

01:06:36.300 where he won like 100,000

01:06:37.200 black votes.

01:06:37.640 He wouldn't have won

01:06:38.060 without school choice.

01:06:38.840 But when it comes to

01:06:40.240 the bread and butter issues

01:06:41.880 in California,

01:06:43.240 you can't run on something

01:06:44.600 where the easy answer

01:06:45.680 from the other side

01:06:46.220 is throw money at it,

01:06:47.160 right,

01:06:47.300 which is education.

01:06:48.500 What you should be running on

01:06:49.620 is the fact that the DA

01:06:50.620 in San Francisco

01:06:51.440 says he is not going to

01:06:52.500 prosecute people 0.99

01:06:53.320 pissing and shitting 0.99

01:06:54.260 on the streets. 0.99

01:06:54.960 Well, it's not just that

01:06:55.720 I'm very tired,

01:06:56.320 so I'm cursing more.

01:06:56.880 It's not just that he said

01:06:57.940 it when he got elected.

01:06:58.960 The shift we've seen is

01:07:00.160 it was formerly

01:07:01.100 mal-administration.

01:07:02.520 Now they are running on

01:07:04.320 legalizing public urination.

01:07:06.000 Running on it.

01:07:06.400 Okay, and this city,

01:07:08.020 LA, I mean,

01:07:08.580 I've lived here

01:07:09.020 my entire life.

01:07:10.020 I remember when this was

01:07:10.880 a pretty clean city.

01:07:12.100 It was cool.

01:07:12.600 Okay, and that is not a,

01:07:14.000 again, for those

01:07:15.240 who don't understand English,

01:07:16.220 that is not any commentary

01:07:17.600 on ethnicity or race.

01:07:18.920 I mean like physically clean.

01:07:20.360 There is trash everywhere.

01:07:21.560 There's a homeless person

01:07:22.340 living on every bunch.

01:07:23.400 Like literally,

01:07:23.740 you can go down

01:07:24.080 Ventura Boulevard

01:07:24.680 and every single bench,

01:07:26.300 go down Sunset,

01:07:27.020 every single bench

01:07:27.800 will have a homeless person

01:07:28.820 on it.

01:07:29.220 You go by any freeway

01:07:30.540 underpass,

01:07:31.440 any one of them,

01:07:32.240 and you will find

01:07:32.680 a homeless encampment there.

01:07:33.860 And you'll find

01:07:34.700 open needles

01:07:35.200 in suburban areas.

01:07:36.180 How are Republicans

01:07:37.080 not running on this?

01:07:38.060 The homeless actually

01:07:38.960 burned down Brentwood

01:07:40.160 a year ago.

01:07:40.580 Yeah, they did.

01:07:41.200 They burned the richest

01:07:42.220 community in LA.

01:07:44.200 By the way,

01:07:44.600 the wildfires have been linked

01:07:45.640 to, there have been

01:07:46.200 several wildfires

01:07:46.900 linked to that homeless issue.

01:07:47.960 Is it pure virtue signaling

01:07:49.420 that people will tolerate

01:07:50.840 this at all?

01:07:51.780 I mean, why?

01:07:52.460 San Francisco,

01:07:53.100 I lived in San Francisco,

01:07:54.060 one of the most beautiful

01:07:55.540 cities on Earth,

01:07:56.840 on the planet.

01:07:57.600 It is now a hellhole.

01:07:59.040 It really is.

01:07:59.720 It just is absolutely 0.74

01:08:00.640 disgusting.

01:08:01.480 Why isn't somebody saying, 0.98

01:08:03.020 hmm,

01:08:03.560 you know what I'm going to do?

01:08:04.700 I'm going to vote for 0.77

01:08:05.420 different people.

01:08:05.880 Because the left

01:08:06.540 has shamed people,

01:08:08.620 particularly people of wealth,

01:08:09.660 because California

01:08:10.400 has bifurcated so strongly

01:08:11.800 that it's basically

01:08:12.740 people who are

01:08:13.300 extremely wealthy,

01:08:14.300 living in Beverly Hills,

01:08:15.160 living off of Sunset Boulevard,

01:08:16.540 or people who are living

01:08:17.620 in the downtown LA underpass.

01:08:20.200 Another way to put it

01:08:20.960 is you have Maxine Waters

01:08:21.960 and Maxine Waters

01:08:22.900 is constituent.

01:08:24.120 That's the divide.

01:08:24.920 I mean,

01:08:25.180 you want to talk about

01:08:25.820 income inequality?

01:08:26.680 Income inequality is a thing

01:08:27.800 here in Los Angeles

01:08:28.560 and it is in San Francisco

01:08:29.720 as well.

01:08:30.440 And so it's very easy

01:08:31.280 for politicians

01:08:31.900 to demagogue this thing

01:08:33.100 by basically saying,

01:08:34.460 well, you know what?

01:08:34.920 You can buy off.

01:08:35.600 Like, this is actually the pitch.

01:08:36.520 The pitch is,

01:08:37.240 there's this vast underclass 0.92

01:08:38.420 that has been created

01:08:39.140 by all of our regulation,

01:08:40.380 but it's really created

01:08:40.940 by you, the rich people.

01:08:41.840 And you know how you can

01:08:42.360 keep that vast underclass 1.00

01:08:43.320 from coming after you?

01:08:44.040 You can buy them off.

01:08:45.140 You can buy them off

01:08:45.780 by us leaving them alone.

01:08:47.540 I mean, like really,

01:08:48.360 do you think that the folks

01:08:49.000 in San Jose have to deal

01:08:50.520 with the homeless

01:08:51.040 in their neighborhood?

01:08:51.860 They don't.

01:08:52.400 Or in Brentwood.

01:08:55.240 It's all the nicest areas.

01:08:56.520 They don't care, right?

01:08:57.360 For them,

01:08:57.940 it's a way of saying,

01:08:58.700 look how compassionate I am.

01:09:00.220 I'm not taking,

01:09:01.000 I'm not criminalizing poverty.

01:09:02.620 No one's talking

01:09:03.240 about criminalizing poverty.

01:09:04.400 It is a criminal act

01:09:05.460 to live on a public street.

01:09:07.160 It is a criminal act 0.99

01:09:08.160 to crap in public. 0.99

01:09:09.300 It is a criminal act 0.99

01:09:10.240 to solicit or engage

01:09:11.560 in sex in public areas.

01:09:12.660 The DA in San Francisco

01:09:13.820 says none of these

01:09:14.560 are criminal acts anymore.

01:09:15.920 How in the world?

01:09:17.060 Like, I think, frankly,

01:09:18.240 that if Adam Carolla

01:09:18.920 ran for governor

01:09:19.540 of the state of California

01:09:20.500 on this platform,

01:09:21.260 I think he would win.

01:09:21.940 You know, the key, too,

01:09:23.780 to framing this is,

01:09:24.580 this is how they always,

01:09:25.320 they say,

01:09:26.000 you people are anti-poverty.

01:09:29.240 You're right.

01:09:29.560 Well, I mean,

01:09:29.840 I guess I am anti-poverty,

01:09:30.920 but they'll say

01:09:31.200 you're anti-poverty.

01:09:31.660 I like less poverty, yes.

01:09:32.700 Right, right.

01:09:33.820 They'll say you're

01:09:35.020 criminalizing poverty

01:09:36.100 and you're somehow

01:09:36.920 a sort of bigot

01:09:37.560 for this anyway.

01:09:38.320 The lie of this,

01:09:39.580 the lie that they push

01:09:40.300 is that it's compassionate

01:09:41.260 to let people

01:09:42.220 live on the street.

01:09:43.120 The lie is that

01:09:43.860 it's compassionate

01:09:44.400 to let people

01:09:45.100 who have psychological issues,

01:09:46.900 who have addictions,

01:09:48.160 who have a lot of problems,

01:09:49.660 live on the street

01:09:50.520 in very dangerous areas

01:09:52.100 in squalor.

01:09:52.880 By the way,

01:09:53.200 there's nothing compassionate.

01:09:53.740 You want to keep people

01:09:54.660 in poverty.

01:09:55.160 There's no better way

01:09:55.860 to keep somebody

01:09:56.340 in poverty

01:09:56.780 than to let them

01:09:57.480 live on the street, 1.00

01:09:58.180 leave their crap there, 1.00

01:09:59.260 and tell them 1.00

01:09:59.780 that this is their new home.

01:10:01.280 Okay, that is the definition

01:10:02.960 of leaving somebody in poverty.

01:10:04.060 The other thing

01:10:04.480 that is horrific,

01:10:05.380 it's absolutely horrific,

01:10:06.520 is if you now go

01:10:07.380 to the L.A. County Jail,

01:10:08.820 I write about this

01:10:09.420 in another kingdom,

01:10:10.400 you know,

01:10:10.880 is that when you go,

01:10:11.780 it is now a mental institution.

01:10:13.260 Yeah.

01:10:13.480 So they're taking people

01:10:14.400 who are mentally ill,

01:10:15.940 and I'm sure we've all 0.99

01:10:17.060 had experience

01:10:17.540 with mental illness.

01:10:18.380 It's a horror. 0.97

01:10:19.200 And they're putting them

01:10:19.760 in prison.

01:10:20.640 Because why?

01:10:21.340 Because once they commit a crime,

01:10:22.580 where are you going to put them?

01:10:23.320 You've got to put them somewhere, right?

01:10:24.400 So now you've got these guys

01:10:25.320 who don't even know

01:10:25.880 what reality is behind bars

01:10:27.440 and terrible...

01:10:28.180 Well, because the regulations

01:10:29.020 on mental illness

01:10:29.820 in this state are awful.

01:10:30.920 Meaning that if you are 1.00

01:10:31.900 mentally ill, 1.00

01:10:33.020 like this was exactly the case.

01:10:34.420 You saw this case

01:10:35.200 that the New York Post

01:10:35.760 reported on,

01:10:36.360 where somebody in the middle

01:10:36.920 of Hollywood Boulevard,

01:10:37.880 right, a homeless man

01:10:38.380 in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard

01:10:39.260 took a bucket of hot feces, 0.64

01:10:40.880 pulled a woman out of her car,

01:10:41.940 and poured the bucket 0.83

01:10:42.500 of hot feces over her head. 1.00

01:10:43.940 Obviously a mentally ill person. 0.99

01:10:45.220 So the person goes to court

01:10:46.540 and is sentenced to basically

01:10:48.320 an outpatient

01:10:49.040 mental illness facility.

01:10:50.720 They do six months there.

01:10:51.640 They're released.

01:10:52.540 They're back on the street, right?

01:10:54.280 And so the problem is that

01:10:56.100 for a large percentage

01:10:58.100 of people who are

01:10:58.860 severely mentally ill, 0.97

01:10:59.820 such that they are dangerous 0.94

01:11:00.800 to themselves and others,

01:11:01.480 we shouldn't blanket

01:11:02.120 all mental illness.

01:11:03.080 We all know people

01:11:03.480 who are perfectly functional

01:11:04.260 who suffer from some sort

01:11:05.240 of mental illness, obviously.

01:11:06.420 So just for clarity's sake.

01:11:07.560 But there are people

01:11:08.420 who are dangerous to themselves,

01:11:09.740 dangerous to others.

01:11:10.680 And the regulations basically say

01:11:13.140 that you can keep them

01:11:14.080 on a 24-hour or a 72-hour hold,

01:11:16.540 and then you have to release them

01:11:18.000 back into society

01:11:19.300 even if they require the medication.

01:11:20.520 And if they refuse

01:11:21.160 to take the medication,

01:11:22.300 you cannot put them

01:11:22.960 in a place to force them

01:11:23.800 to take the medication.

01:11:24.800 So you have people

01:11:25.360 who are fully paranoid schizophrenic

01:11:27.980 who don't know 0.97

01:11:28.800 what reality looks like,

01:11:30.160 saying I won't take my pills

01:11:31.100 and the ACLU saying

01:11:31.760 he doesn't have to take his pills.

01:11:32.820 If you make him take your pills, 0.98

01:11:33.960 he's a fascist. 0.65

01:11:34.620 This is all based on a study 0.84

01:11:35.940 from the 1970s

01:11:37.020 that was just debunked

01:11:38.040 that led to the closing

01:11:39.200 of so many of these institutions.

01:11:41.140 And all their leftist theories.

01:11:42.020 You know, 20 years ago,

01:11:43.300 it's almost 20 years ago,

01:11:44.480 I was researching detective novels

01:11:46.180 set in San Francisco,

01:11:47.000 and I went up to talk

01:11:47.960 to the police,

01:11:48.520 and I spent the day

01:11:49.160 with a couple of detectives,

01:11:50.560 and they said to us,

01:11:51.420 they said to me,

01:11:52.020 this is like,

01:11:52.720 so it's 18 years ago, say.

01:11:54.300 They said to me,

01:11:55.360 they will not let us

01:11:56.620 treat people who are sick.

01:11:58.820 They will not let us

01:11:59.580 take them off the street,

01:12:00.560 and it's going to get bad.

01:12:02.520 This is 18 years,

01:12:03.340 and of course,

01:12:03.800 the police always know

01:12:04.520 what's going to happen

01:12:05.040 because they're dealing

01:12:05.620 with the detritus

01:12:06.660 of the things that we create,

01:12:08.240 that the higher-ups create.

01:12:09.740 I mean, this is one of the-

01:12:10.480 people to watch this stuff.

01:12:11.320 If you had a Republican

01:12:12.200 in this state

01:12:12.780 who ran on two propositions,

01:12:14.140 you don't get to live

01:12:14.840 on the street,

01:12:15.400 and we are going to

01:12:16.960 add additional funds

01:12:18.040 for the actual building

01:12:19.020 of mental institutions

01:12:19.900 and check and change

01:12:21.260 the regulations

01:12:21.840 to allow for involuntary

01:12:23.580 commitment of people

01:12:24.220 who are actively dangerous

01:12:25.380 to themselves or others,

01:12:26.420 they'd win the governorship.

01:12:27.980 Well, speaking of the horrors 0.71

01:12:29.000 of mental illness,

01:12:29.840 if you're enjoying this program

01:12:31.200 and you would like

01:12:32.980 to keep this conversation going-

01:12:34.820 That's the worst segue ever.

01:12:37.040 Accurate.

01:12:37.860 I liked it.

01:12:38.740 If you're a Daily Wire insider,

01:12:41.540 you probably know

01:12:42.000 that we have the new

01:12:42.680 discussion feature

01:12:43.740 in our brand new

01:12:44.560 DailyWire.com mobile application,

01:12:46.980 as the kids call it these days.

01:12:48.560 We're going to,

01:12:49.440 as soon as the show is over today,

01:12:50.760 continue answering questions

01:12:52.500 from our DailyWire.com insiders

01:12:55.120 over at the Daily Wire app

01:12:57.740 or the Daily Wire website.

01:12:59.020 All you have to do

01:12:59.400 is go become an insider,

01:13:01.680 become a member

01:13:02.160 of our Daily Wire community,

01:13:04.040 and you can join the discussion.

01:13:05.920 One of the things

01:13:06.600 that I like about

01:13:07.100 the discussion feature,

01:13:07.900 it allows us to answer

01:13:08.680 a lot more questions

01:13:10.000 because we're typing

01:13:11.280 than we get to do

01:13:12.280 when we're kind of

01:13:12.940 kicking ideas back and forth.

01:13:14.220 So we're going to be able

01:13:14.860 to get through

01:13:15.340 just a ton of your questions tonight

01:13:17.080 immediately following the show.

01:13:18.340 If you're not

01:13:18.820 a Daily Wire insider,

01:13:20.180 now's the time.

01:13:24.040 I'm sorry,

01:13:24.620 you have to be

01:13:24.820 an all-access member.

01:13:26.040 Head over to

01:13:29.260 WARRANTEERS 0.94

01:13:29.940 when you become

01:13:30.320 an all-access member,

01:13:31.380 and we will give you

01:13:32.300 20% off

01:13:33.440 of the price of admission.

01:13:35.840 But before that happens,

01:13:36.900 we're going to keep

01:13:37.300 answering a few questions here

01:13:38.380 from the people

01:13:38.940 who are watching

01:13:39.540 and phoning them in

01:13:41.180 to Elisha.

01:13:42.900 All right,

01:13:43.280 next question wants to know

01:13:44.320 about Trump impeachment.

01:13:45.860 She says that she doesn't think

01:13:46.800 Trump will likely be impeached,

01:13:48.280 but in that unlikely event,

01:13:50.080 would Mike Pence

01:13:50.780 automatically become

01:13:52.020 the Republican nominee

01:13:52.900 in 2020?

01:13:53.840 And do you think

01:13:54.300 that Pence has

01:13:55.040 what it takes

01:13:55.620 to win the presidency?

01:13:56.900 Well, first,

01:13:57.340 I think that our

01:13:57.980 beloved subscriber

01:13:59.180 is wrong.

01:14:00.320 I think Donald Trump

01:14:01.080 will certainly be impeached.

01:14:03.620 But it's a bit of a technicality

01:14:05.200 because I think

01:14:05.780 what she really means

01:14:06.640 is that he won't be

01:14:07.660 convicted in the Senate

01:14:08.600 and removed from office.

01:14:10.020 Impeachment happens

01:14:10.700 in the House,

01:14:11.260 and it's a political process.

01:14:13.400 They have the numbers.

01:14:14.680 I think that they're

01:14:15.360 boxed in by their own

01:14:16.520 electoral,

01:14:17.580 by their own rhetoric

01:14:18.460 going into the 2020 election.

01:14:20.520 I don't think

01:14:20.780 the Democrats have

01:14:21.460 any choice

01:14:22.420 but to impeach

01:14:23.020 Donald Trump,

01:14:23.940 and they will do.

01:14:24.900 Will he be convicted

01:14:25.600 in the Senate

01:14:26.040 and removed from office?

01:14:27.280 Of course,

01:14:27.840 that's not going to happen

01:14:29.140 unless they actually

01:14:29.940 do find

01:14:30.600 that breaking

01:14:32.540 smoking gun.

01:14:34.920 Devastating and explosive.

01:14:36.180 Just a little historical point

01:14:37.400 that people don't know

01:14:38.220 because we've had

01:14:39.020 much more impeachment

01:14:39.960 in recent years.

01:14:41.040 No president

01:14:41.760 in American history

01:14:42.480 has ever been impeached,

01:14:43.620 convicted in the Senate,

01:14:44.440 and removed from office.

01:14:45.260 It's never happened.

01:14:45.860 Even Andrew Johnson.

01:14:46.780 Andrew Johnson was acquitted

01:14:47.680 in the Senate.

01:14:48.280 Ah, I didn't remember that.

01:14:49.040 And no one's ever been

01:14:49.940 impeached in his first term

01:14:52.080 because they just figure

01:14:53.300 you can go to the electorate,

01:14:55.440 but the Democrats

01:14:56.040 can't do that.

01:14:56.560 Well, Donald Trump's

01:14:57.180 about to do this.

01:14:57.940 And listen,

01:15:00.140 they'll probably go on,

01:15:01.240 he'll put up on his wall,

01:15:02.680 first impeachment

01:15:03.360 and earned the first term.

01:15:05.100 Greatest impeachment.

01:15:05.680 Greatest impeachment.

01:15:06.400 He probably will.

01:15:07.400 It was the greatest impeachment.

01:15:08.180 There'll be pictures of him.

01:15:08.840 Yeah.

01:15:09.480 It was the best impeachment.

01:15:10.940 Everybody said so.

01:15:11.720 But if,

01:15:12.300 if they actually find

01:15:14.500 that missing

01:15:15.260 phone call

01:15:16.140 of Donald Trump

01:15:17.200 asking Vladimir Putin

01:15:18.560 to build hotels

01:15:19.660 for him all around

01:15:20.520 the world

01:15:21.140 while giving

01:15:22.240 all of his political opponents

01:15:23.360 polonium poisoning,

01:15:24.660 then yes,

01:15:25.660 Mike Pence would automatically

01:15:26.920 become the next

01:15:27.860 president of the United States.

01:15:28.780 He'd be sworn in,

01:15:29.660 but even before,

01:15:30.980 even before there was

01:15:32.060 an official swearing-in ceremony,

01:15:33.880 he would,

01:15:34.240 he would,

01:15:34.580 in the same way

01:15:35.020 that the president

01:15:35.460 becomes the president-elect,

01:15:37.040 he would be the,

01:15:37.840 he would be the de facto

01:15:39.340 acting president,

01:15:40.200 then they'd have a swearing-in ceremony.

01:15:41.120 But do you think

01:15:41.660 he could win

01:15:42.200 the next term,

01:15:42.880 I think was the question.

01:15:43.720 Do you think he could win again?

01:15:44.480 No, I think the question

01:15:45.080 was would he automatically win?

01:15:46.160 No, then it was,

01:15:46.780 then it was would he win?

01:15:47.700 And the answer is no.

01:15:48.840 No.

01:15:49.000 Because then under the circumstance

01:15:49.840 where Trump is actually convicted

01:15:51.300 and removed from office,

01:15:52.660 the evidence would have

01:15:53.220 to be so overwhelming

01:15:53.940 that it would completely 0.93

01:15:54.680 damn the Republicans. 0.68

01:15:55.600 And everybody who voted for Trump, 1.00

01:15:57.940 the Republican electorate

01:15:59.380 would feel like

01:15:59.900 their own senators

01:16:00.660 had betrayed them

01:16:02.400 in removing them from office.

01:16:03.340 It would be a total disaster.

01:16:03.960 What do you think

01:16:04.660 the odds are

01:16:05.400 of Trump dumping Pence

01:16:06.980 for Nikki Haley?

01:16:08.400 Zero.

01:16:09.080 Zero?

01:16:09.480 A chance, yeah.

01:16:10.820 I don't think that's what

01:16:11.340 Haley's doing.

01:16:12.880 I don't think it is either,

01:16:14.020 but I wonder.

01:16:15.000 I think it's like 3%.

01:16:16.080 I tend to agree.

01:16:17.200 I think it's overwhelming.

01:16:17.940 I actually think

01:16:18.480 it's a little higher than that,

01:16:19.540 but I don't think

01:16:20.260 it's going to happen.

01:16:21.220 Yep.

01:16:22.060 Alicia,

01:16:22.520 what else you got for us?

01:16:23.340 I think I might know

01:16:24.160 the answer to this,

01:16:25.000 but it'll be interesting

01:16:25.580 to get everyone's opinion.

01:16:27.020 Our next subscriber

01:16:27.700 wants to know

01:16:28.180 which current Democratic candidate

01:16:29.440 is your least favorite

01:16:30.720 and why?

01:16:32.780 Oh, there's so many

01:16:33.340 to choose from.

01:16:33.840 There's so many to choose from.

01:16:34.400 I think we each have

01:16:35.140 to give an answer to this.

01:16:36.220 Andrew, start with you.

01:16:37.320 Well, you know,

01:16:38.080 I have to say

01:16:38.860 that even though

01:16:39.800 Bernie Sanders

01:16:40.660 actually gets stars for me

01:16:42.560 for being sincere,

01:16:43.960 to be a sincere communist

01:16:45.040 is not actually a good thing.

01:16:46.200 And this guy,

01:16:47.900 not only has he done nothing

01:16:49.060 his entire life,

01:16:50.520 but he has ascribed

01:16:52.200 loyally to a policy

01:16:55.000 that has failed

01:16:56.140 again and again

01:16:56.880 in front of him

01:16:57.660 and he has not changed at all.

01:17:00.240 I mean,

01:17:00.740 he's visited Cuba.

01:17:01.840 He's visited the Soviet Union.

01:17:03.420 He's saying,

01:17:03.820 I was joking on my show

01:17:04.820 that he's saying this,

01:17:05.620 he went to the Soviet Union

01:17:06.440 and saying,

01:17:07.160 this land is your land,

01:17:08.060 this land is my land,

01:17:08.940 and so is Poland.

01:17:09.620 And, you know,

01:17:12.480 because I think

01:17:14.160 there is something,

01:17:15.900 you know,

01:17:16.460 it's not evil.

01:17:17.540 It's something fundamentally wrong

01:17:19.360 and maybe wicked

01:17:20.280 is the right word

01:17:21.060 to keep being attached

01:17:23.780 to a philosophy

01:17:25.000 that has done

01:17:25.620 so much terrible damage

01:17:27.020 in this world.

01:17:27.720 And he's not a socialist.

01:17:28.980 He's a communist.

01:17:29.840 Of course.

01:17:30.000 And he has basically

01:17:31.960 shown loyalty

01:17:32.740 to communist regimes

01:17:34.100 in every country

01:17:35.020 where they've arisen.

01:17:36.220 And it doesn't matter

01:17:37.220 to him that the people die.

01:17:38.340 He's obviously living

01:17:39.300 in a theoretical universe.

01:17:40.840 I think there's something

01:17:41.740 wrong with the guy.

01:17:42.920 And so...

01:17:43.360 By the way,

01:17:43.640 the proof of your contention

01:17:44.480 is that he's endorsed

01:17:45.120 by Linda Sarsour and El Omar.

01:17:46.660 There you go.

01:17:48.120 He's the wrongist.

01:17:48.740 I think that he is

01:17:50.620 the worst 0.86

01:17:52.160 as an actual

01:17:54.480 real-life human being

01:17:55.540 in the world.

01:17:56.560 Michael.

01:17:57.260 Pete Buttigieg

01:17:57.760 is my least favorite.

01:17:59.000 I can't stand him. 1.00

01:18:00.480 He is such an obvious jerk. 1.00

01:18:02.980 At least Bernie Sanders 1.00

01:18:04.120 is honest about

01:18:04.820 what he believes.

01:18:05.800 Elizabeth Warren

01:18:06.580 is not honest

01:18:07.840 about many things

01:18:08.880 but she's always been

01:18:10.000 a left-winger at least

01:18:11.180 you could say.

01:18:11.820 Not nearly as radical

01:18:12.880 as she is now.

01:18:14.320 Julian Castro

01:18:15.100 is hilarious

01:18:16.420 in his radicalism.

01:18:17.580 I get a huge kick

01:18:18.220 out of his candidacy.

01:18:19.260 Only Pete Buttigieg

01:18:20.500 blows in the wind.

01:18:22.260 So one day

01:18:23.020 he's the moderate candidate

01:18:23.820 trying to get Biden's votes.

01:18:24.860 The next day

01:18:25.200 he's this radical

01:18:25.920 trying to get

01:18:26.900 the Bernie votes.

01:18:28.300 And he's so

01:18:29.160 incredibly judgmental.

01:18:30.940 He's so incredibly

01:18:32.080 moralizing. 1.00

01:18:33.220 The Pastor Pete crap 1.00

01:18:34.060 is unbelievable. 1.00

01:18:34.980 His whole candidacy

01:18:37.020 is about telling Christians 0.98

01:18:38.340 that they're not really Christians

01:18:39.340 and telling, you know...

01:18:40.540 Tell me more,

01:18:41.100 Captain Abortion on demand. 0.68

01:18:42.200 Exactly.

01:18:42.960 It's so outrageous

01:18:44.200 and disingenuous

01:18:45.020 he drives me up a wall.

01:18:46.740 Okay.

01:18:47.240 I have to

01:18:48.080 because it's true.

01:18:50.140 Elizabeth Warren 0.97

01:18:50.700 is the worst. 0.97

01:18:51.300 Okay, Elizabeth Warren...

01:18:52.020 Also, I have a personal stake

01:18:53.580 in Elizabeth Warren

01:18:54.140 being the worst.

01:18:54.700 Meaning she's the only one

01:18:55.360 of these candidates

01:18:55.800 I've ever actually met.

01:18:56.520 You just don't like me.

01:18:57.020 I met...

01:18:58.640 You know,

01:18:59.280 when I was having lunch

01:19:00.100 in Santa Monica

01:19:00.620 with Elizabeth Warren...

01:19:01.640 But I actually have met

01:19:03.560 Elizabeth Warren.

01:19:04.280 And there was a point in time

01:19:05.260 where Elizabeth Warren

01:19:05.860 was an actual interesting

01:19:06.580 human being.

01:19:07.340 Like, back in 2004

01:19:08.500 when she was recruiting

01:19:09.280 for Harvard Law School

01:19:10.040 was right after she'd written

01:19:10.960 The Two-Income Trap.

01:19:12.320 And obviously,

01:19:13.040 she was a committed leftist.

01:19:13.960 I mean, there was no question

01:19:14.700 she was a committed leftist.

01:19:15.680 The first conversation...

01:19:16.880 The only conversation

01:19:17.620 I ever had with her,

01:19:18.400 she started ripping 1.00

01:19:18.860 on Rush Limbaugh

01:19:19.460 like right away.

01:19:20.460 But she was actually...

01:19:21.840 She had some kind of

01:19:22.480 interesting ideas.

01:19:24.140 She was in favor 0.99

01:19:24.780 of school choice

01:19:25.480 at that point.

01:19:26.600 If there's one thing

01:19:27.460 that I can't stand,

01:19:28.440 I think the vast majority

01:19:29.400 of Americans cannot stand, 0.88

01:19:30.660 you've cited

01:19:31.240 Sanders' sincerity

01:19:33.040 as both an asset

01:19:34.880 and as a detriment.

01:19:36.600 She is the least sincere

01:19:38.120 candidate in this race.

01:19:39.420 And it is not close

01:19:40.320 because she does not believe

01:19:41.520 a single thing

01:19:42.380 that she is saying

01:19:43.060 right now.

01:19:43.940 Every story that she has

01:19:45.060 ever told apparently

01:19:46.020 is a shading

01:19:47.860 of the truth at best

01:19:48.880 from I'm the first

01:19:49.760 lactating mother 0.61

01:19:50.500 to sit for the New Jersey bar

01:19:51.720 which is obvious nonsense

01:19:53.280 to I was fired

01:19:54.520 for being pregnant

01:19:55.140 which is also

01:19:55.860 apparently nonsense

01:19:56.540 to I'm a Native American

01:19:58.260 because I have

01:19:58.660 high cheekbones

01:19:59.300 and I write a recipe

01:20:00.140 that I cribbed

01:20:00.860 from like Harper's Bazaar

01:20:01.900 for Pao Lao Chow

01:20:02.780 to I am now

01:20:04.580 in favor of getting rid

01:20:05.380 of, I hate charter schools,

01:20:07.980 they need to go, 0.96

01:20:08.760 they need to be abolished.

01:20:09.980 She was for school choice

01:20:10.800 five seconds ago.

01:20:12.080 I love free markets

01:20:13.340 but billionaires

01:20:14.100 should not exist.

01:20:15.240 Billionaires' tears,

01:20:16.200 I will drink them. 0.97

01:20:17.700 She's so utterly dishonest 0.99

01:20:19.180 and the cynicism 0.97

01:20:19.880 of somebody

01:20:20.420 who's not even,

01:20:21.780 you can't even blame

01:20:22.520 her embrace

01:20:24.380 of immoral positions 1.00

01:20:26.380 on stupidity. 1.00

01:20:28.420 Like Sanders, 1.00

01:20:28.860 you can blame it

01:20:29.200 on the fact 1.00

01:20:29.440 that he's a delusional old coot 0.99

01:20:30.580 and he's been delusional 1.00

01:20:31.360 his entire life.

01:20:32.280 This is not delusion,

01:20:33.100 this is calculated

01:20:33.780 and when you are

01:20:34.320 a calculated advocate

01:20:35.480 for positions

01:20:35.980 you don't even believe

01:20:36.860 but you are willing

01:20:37.620 to make the country worse

01:20:38.720 in order to achieve

01:20:39.900 your own personal power,

01:20:40.820 I think this makes you 0.95

01:20:41.380 the worst person in the race. 0.54

01:20:43.760 Well, I was going to say

01:20:45.060 Pete Buttigieg

01:20:45.660 but since Michael already did,

01:20:47.040 I'll just give you guys

01:20:47.980 the process by which

01:20:49.020 I arrived at the people

01:20:49.940 that I knew.

01:20:52.440 In the beginning,

01:20:53.140 I hated Kamala Harris the most 1.00

01:20:54.200 because she's the one

01:20:54.760 that I actually fear.

01:20:56.400 Like, I don't fear

01:20:57.160 Bernie Sanders

01:20:58.120 because I think he'd be

01:20:58.860 so ineffectual

01:20:59.680 at being president

01:21:00.840 because communists 0.99

01:21:01.500 are terrible at everything 0.78

01:21:02.360 and Bernie's never accomplished 0.89

01:21:03.300 a damn thing

01:21:03.820 in his entire life. 1.00

01:21:05.240 And Elizabeth Warren, 0.95

01:21:07.720 I actually think

01:21:08.460 that she certainly poses

01:21:10.200 as a major leftist right now

01:21:11.440 and everything you say,

01:21:12.260 Ben, about how insincere

01:21:13.560 and dishonest she is, 1.00

01:21:14.400 of course is true.

01:21:15.660 But I actually suspect

01:21:16.540 that if she were

01:21:17.680 to be elected president,

01:21:19.080 she would not functionally 0.98

01:21:20.820 be the radical

01:21:21.440 that she presents as right now.

01:21:22.760 I think that's all calculated.

01:21:24.000 It would still be terrible

01:21:24.660 but it would not be

01:21:25.340 what it appears to be today.

01:21:27.260 Kamala Harris scared me 0.93

01:21:28.120 because she openly talks

01:21:29.760 about just putting people

01:21:30.560 who disagree with her in jail.

01:21:32.100 And she's got a lot of experience

01:21:33.880 in putting people in jail.

01:21:35.160 And the guys who run her campaign

01:21:36.800 go on Twitter all the time

01:21:38.260 and say,

01:21:39.040 we wouldn't stand for that

01:21:40.960 if Kamala Harris was president.

01:21:42.760 We'd lock all of you up.

01:21:43.900 And I think, 0.89

01:21:44.640 well, that's actual fascism.

01:21:46.600 I don't think that's good.

01:21:47.780 But then I realized

01:21:48.340 she didn't stand a chance

01:21:49.140 of winning

01:21:49.460 and she wasn't affecting

01:21:50.160 the national conversation

01:21:51.080 in any way.

01:21:52.080 And at that point,

01:21:52.960 I moved to Buttigieg,

01:21:53.740 but a close second for me

01:21:54.920 is Beto.

01:21:55.540 And the reason is

01:21:56.300 race demagoguery

01:21:58.800 is the worst thing

01:22:00.320 for this country.

01:22:01.240 I said before

01:22:01.880 that I think it's unfair

01:22:02.700 to say that America's

01:22:03.500 original sin is slavery

01:22:05.060 and not Great Britain's

01:22:06.020 just because there was

01:22:06.780 a 20-year gap

01:22:07.580 150 years ago.

01:22:09.060 Nevertheless,

01:22:10.140 race is functionally

01:22:11.500 the most detrimental thing

01:22:13.300 to the culture of America.

01:22:15.060 It's a,

01:22:15.380 it's a,

01:22:16.940 it's the thing

01:22:17.860 that rips us apart

01:22:18.860 the most,

01:22:19.560 that's leveraged

01:22:20.200 by the left

01:22:20.740 in order to rip us 0.75

01:22:21.840 apart the most.

01:22:23.760 And what,

01:22:24.680 what I hate about

01:22:25.980 Beto O'Rourke

01:22:26.900 is that when he was down

01:22:28.140 and he should have been out,

01:22:29.840 instead of recognizing

01:22:30.920 that he didn't stand a chance,

01:22:32.180 he picked up the race issue

01:22:34.140 and the guns issue

01:22:35.220 and demagogued

01:22:36.300 in a way that,

01:22:37.460 and the religious liberty issue,

01:22:38.620 right?

01:22:38.920 The religious liberty issue.

01:22:40.000 And he,

01:22:40.740 and he basically

01:22:42.020 reinforced

01:22:42.820 all of the worst

01:22:44.820 arguments against

01:22:46.040 American liberty

01:22:47.300 that exist.

01:22:48.220 And for that,

01:22:48.880 I think there's

01:22:49.980 a special place

01:22:50.700 in,

01:22:51.660 I mean,

01:22:52.000 I guess Arizona.

01:22:53.620 I don't know.

01:22:54.760 He'll be eating dirt

01:22:55.560 forever there.

01:22:56.960 Eternal Arizona fire.

01:22:58.940 Alicia,

01:22:59.240 we're going to take

01:22:59.900 at least one more question.

01:23:01.520 They told me never to say

01:23:02.280 this is the last question

01:23:03.140 because people may tune out,

01:23:04.380 but I'm just going to tell you guys

01:23:05.260 I'm leaning very heavily

01:23:06.240 to not taking any questions.

01:23:09.440 So that means

01:23:10.120 I can go after this?

01:23:11.220 Hooray.

01:23:11.800 All right.

01:23:12.840 If the 2020 candidates

01:23:14.280 have their way

01:23:14.960 and make college free,

01:23:16.480 I'm assuming she means

01:23:17.740 the Democratic 2020 candidates,

01:23:19.820 do you think that we will see

01:23:20.580 dramatic drop-off

01:23:21.640 in the quality

01:23:22.240 of American education?

01:23:26.140 There's no room.

01:23:27.600 Where would they go

01:23:28.220 if they were going to drop off?

01:23:29.620 Yeah.

01:23:30.040 We actually had an argument

01:23:31.140 this very week,

01:23:32.480 Michael and Drew and I

01:23:33.300 sitting in my office,

01:23:34.380 about the state of the academy.

01:23:36.680 And the argument was,

01:23:37.820 we think it's terrible

01:23:38.880 and you think it's really,

01:23:39.800 really, really terrible.

01:23:40.440 No,

01:23:40.820 it wasn't even that.

01:23:42.000 We all think it's terrible.

01:23:43.060 Yeah.

01:23:43.520 I think that it's irredeemable

01:23:45.060 and that we need to raise

01:23:46.600 the institution and start over.

01:23:48.360 I think that it's a,

01:23:49.680 you know,

01:23:50.080 it's an 18th century model

01:23:52.220 trying to be applied

01:23:53.200 to 21st century reality

01:23:55.580 at best anyway.

01:23:57.680 I don't think it can get much worse.

01:23:59.580 I think if you're

01:23:59.960 a conservative parent,

01:24:01.480 if your child was speaking

01:24:02.740 six languages

01:24:03.520 by the time that they were seven,

01:24:05.180 if your child

01:24:05.940 in elementary school

01:24:07.120 was asking you

01:24:07.860 how to pronounce words

01:24:08.820 in Shakespeare.

01:24:09.700 That's me.

01:24:10.520 You're talking to me.

01:24:11.140 That is your kid.

01:24:11.840 Yeah.

01:24:12.260 Then you probably need

01:24:13.440 to send them

01:24:13.800 to an elite university.

01:24:14.580 Similarly,

01:24:15.560 if your kid has a knack

01:24:16.660 for the law,

01:24:17.300 if your kid wants

01:24:17.880 to be a doctor,

01:24:20.400 if your kid wants

01:24:21.240 to be an engineer,

01:24:23.520 you probably got to

01:24:24.200 send them to college.

01:24:24.960 I would think about

01:24:25.640 in the latter case,

01:24:27.060 not sending them

01:24:27.560 to get a liberal arts education,

01:24:29.080 but just to be

01:24:29.700 a bachelor's of science.

01:24:32.060 Anybody else,

01:24:32.840 if you're a conservative

01:24:33.500 and you send your child

01:24:34.860 to college,

01:24:35.840 I think you are

01:24:36.440 willfully naive

01:24:37.620 about the reality

01:24:38.520 of what it is.

01:24:39.320 It is a Soviet-style 0.87

01:24:40.760 re-education camp.

01:24:42.100 They intend

01:24:43.080 and they succeed

01:24:44.400 at re-educating

01:24:45.500 your child

01:24:46.000 away from every value

01:24:47.300 you try to instill

01:24:48.820 in them

01:24:49.180 and you pay them

01:24:50.320 for the pleasure.

01:24:51.880 They don't want

01:24:52.560 to make it free

01:24:53.320 because it will help

01:24:54.020 your kids get a job

01:24:55.120 from a billionaire,

01:24:56.180 an evil billionaire.

01:24:57.200 They want it to be free

01:24:58.340 so that they can

01:24:59.380 brainwash

01:25:01.580 every one of our children

01:25:03.340 and we should oppose it.

01:25:05.260 We shouldn't send 1.00

01:25:05.720 our kids to it.

01:25:06.560 It can't get much worse.

01:25:07.460 It's pretty freaking bad.

01:25:09.380 If you're still watching,

01:25:10.540 go over to

01:25:10.880 dailywire.com,

01:25:12.320 become an all-access subscriber.

01:25:14.600 We're in tears

01:25:15.100 at the promo code

01:25:15.780 to get 20% off.

01:25:16.780 We're going to keep 0.99

01:25:17.240 the discussion happening

01:25:18.860 over on our new discussion app

01:25:20.340 on the website

01:25:20.880 and on the dailywire.com app.

01:25:22.720 But before we go,

01:25:23.660 there is one thing

01:25:24.520 that I think we have

01:25:25.700 to talk about very briefly.

01:25:27.040 We're going to spend

01:25:27.320 a few minutes on this

01:25:28.100 and that is our friends,

01:25:29.780 Adam Carolla

01:25:30.360 and our friend Dennis Prager

01:25:31.700 are in the process right now

01:25:34.040 as we speak today

01:25:35.040 of releasing their fantastic

01:25:37.100 documentary,

01:25:38.480 No Safe Spaces.

01:25:39.560 It's in limited release.

01:25:41.200 Today,

01:25:41.620 I think Ben and Michael

01:25:43.280 and Drew

01:25:43.620 were able to go

01:25:44.160 to the premiere this week.

01:25:46.280 I'm not welcome

01:25:46.820 on red carpet,

01:25:47.660 so I wasn't able

01:25:48.740 to be there,

01:25:50.100 but I have seen the film.

01:25:51.480 It's absolutely fantastic.

01:25:52.800 A huge piece of the film

01:25:53.760 tracks Ben's arrival

01:25:56.160 at Berkeley

01:25:56.680 to the $600,000 worth

01:25:58.500 of police protection

01:26:00.720 that he needed

01:26:01.760 at the heart

01:26:02.660 of free speech

01:26:03.280 in America,

01:26:04.480 Berkeley University.

01:26:05.600 It's a fantastic film.

01:26:07.040 I want to get

01:26:07.620 all of your opinions,

01:26:08.200 but I do want to say

01:26:09.380 if you're watching this,

01:26:10.860 you're in Southern California,

01:26:11.820 I know it's playing

01:26:12.600 in Burbank this weekend.

01:26:13.940 That's not the only place.

01:26:14.880 You should check the listings.

01:26:16.160 If it's playing near you,

01:26:17.480 I'll say this is

01:26:18.240 an important film.

01:26:19.080 It's a fantastic film

01:26:20.180 produced by our friend

01:26:21.320 Owen Brennan

01:26:21.880 and directed by our friend

01:26:22.880 Justin Folk,

01:26:23.580 who's a genuine talent.

01:26:25.080 I hate to say it,

01:26:25.820 almost everything we do

01:26:26.680 we stole from Justin

01:26:28.320 several years ago.

01:26:30.000 And the only way

01:26:31.300 that films like this

01:26:32.320 get made

01:26:33.640 is if we're able

01:26:34.700 to convince

01:26:35.280 high net worth individuals

01:26:36.740 and distributors

01:26:38.280 that there is an audience

01:26:39.420 for it.

01:26:39.800 So if you want to,

01:26:41.420 listen,

01:26:41.840 it's not an act of charity.

01:26:43.520 It's a great film.

01:26:44.760 You'll learn an awful lot

01:26:45.720 from it.

01:26:46.020 You'll see the reality

01:26:46.800 of how bad things are

01:26:47.720 on our campus.

01:26:48.500 In fact,

01:26:48.780 if you're one of those

01:26:49.260 conservative parents

01:26:49.880 thinking how bad

01:26:50.860 can the schools,

01:26:52.260 go watch No Six Spaces

01:26:53.460 so that you'll know

01:26:54.540 just how absurd

01:26:55.620 the question already is.

01:26:57.560 But while it's not

01:26:58.220 an act of charity,

01:26:59.500 it is an act of

01:27:01.220 good.

01:27:02.660 Support.

01:27:03.340 It's an act of support

01:27:04.440 to reach out

01:27:05.660 to the talented people

01:27:06.660 who do try to make

01:27:07.460 this content

01:27:08.000 to get our values

01:27:09.120 out into the

01:27:10.180 entertainment marketplace.

01:27:11.740 It only happens

01:27:12.560 if you support these films.

01:27:13.740 Please go see

01:27:14.300 No Safe Spaces.

01:27:15.060 You guys probably

01:27:15.520 have some things.

01:27:15.920 I have to say

01:27:17.120 this one personal note.

01:27:18.540 You know,

01:27:18.980 you talk about

01:27:19.440 Owen Brennan

01:27:19.880 who started Madison McQueen

01:27:21.080 which is the producer

01:27:22.020 of this film

01:27:22.660 and you talk about

01:27:23.100 Justin Folk

01:27:23.640 who directed it.

01:27:24.720 Those guys

01:27:25.480 were key to PJTV

01:27:27.380 which was a forerunner

01:27:28.380 of the Daily Wire.

01:27:29.500 Justin Folk

01:27:30.400 directed my

01:27:31.340 Clavin on the Culture

01:27:32.120 of Things

01:27:32.380 which is how I got

01:27:33.060 started in this business

01:27:34.780 and I used to sit

01:27:35.900 and watch him

01:27:36.500 take my words

01:27:37.860 and turn them

01:27:38.420 into these artistic

01:27:39.340 two minute videos

01:27:41.060 and I just used to

01:27:42.960 shake my head

01:27:43.540 and they were brilliant

01:27:44.200 and I'm so,

01:27:45.380 I really am so proud

01:27:46.920 of the job he did

01:27:47.920 in putting together

01:27:48.500 you know,

01:27:48.840 because documentaries

01:27:49.360 can be boring

01:27:50.680 or they can be interesting

01:27:51.840 and this is made

01:27:52.620 interesting by the way

01:27:53.420 he put it together.

01:27:54.120 Owen ran the newsroom

01:27:57.420 of the PGA TV

01:27:59.640 made it what it was

01:28:00.840 at its best

01:28:01.620 and these two guys

01:28:02.980 have gone on

01:28:03.540 to really great things

01:28:04.820 and I gotta say

01:28:05.760 I was sitting

01:28:06.180 in the theater

01:28:07.000 and I was just thinking

01:28:07.960 I made these people

01:28:09.040 I made them

01:28:09.640 I did it

01:28:10.200 No, I really

01:28:11.200 I was thinking

01:28:11.720 I just, I'm so proud

01:28:13.000 of what they've done

01:28:13.580 and it's a good film.

01:28:15.100 I went there

01:28:16.200 and I told Owen

01:28:16.860 and Justin

01:28:17.280 that I would have

01:28:17.920 lied to their faces

01:28:18.740 and said it was a good movie

01:28:19.760 even if it wasn't

01:28:20.460 but I wouldn't have lied

01:28:22.300 to everybody else

01:28:23.300 I was really impressed

01:28:26.200 even in the kind of content

01:28:28.700 that, look, I go to these

01:28:30.860 college campuses

01:28:31.500 I've been attacked

01:28:32.100 on these college campuses

01:28:32.940 I've seen it

01:28:33.560 I didn't think there was

01:28:34.400 anything new

01:28:35.180 I could see in this movie

01:28:36.220 and some of the stuff

01:28:38.220 that is in that movie

01:28:39.140 I was shocked by

01:28:40.540 I actually hadn't seen it before

01:28:41.800 and the creativity

01:28:43.360 in the movie

01:28:44.160 I mean, there are these

01:28:45.100 whole, I don't want

01:28:45.900 to ruin the movie

01:28:46.280 there are these whole

01:28:46.720 sequences though

01:28:47.340 that are just

01:28:48.020 laugh out loud

01:28:49.320 drop down funny

01:28:50.400 and my favorite

01:28:51.640 part about it

01:28:52.260 there's a little

01:28:53.000 easter egg appearance

01:28:53.840 of me in the movie

01:28:54.880 see if you can find it

01:28:55.740 and my name is at the end

01:28:56.720 and they spelled it wrong

01:28:57.640 K-L-A-V-E-N 1.00

01:28:58.680 this is every day

01:28:59.660 I tell them

01:28:59.920 people who produce

01:29:00.540 solve your radio

01:29:01.140 I also have

01:29:03.700 an easter egg appearance

01:29:04.880 in the film

01:29:05.680 so be watching

01:29:06.660 for Michael Knowles

01:29:07.560 and the God King

01:29:08.220 while you're actually

01:29:09.580 just tuning in

01:29:10.180 to see Adam Crow

01:29:10.840 and his Prager

01:29:11.520 addiction here

01:29:12.080 I mean, so never mind

01:29:13.520 the fact that

01:29:14.460 I mean, it has

01:29:15.840 Jeremy in it briefly

01:29:16.680 and it has Knowles

01:29:17.500 in it briefly

01:29:18.020 and is made by the people

01:29:19.280 who made Clavin

01:29:20.160 all of those are

01:29:20.780 I mean, see the film

01:29:21.940 in spite of those things

01:29:22.820 I mean, the fact is

01:29:24.680 that it is a brilliant film

01:29:25.800 about brave

01:29:27.320 beautiful people

01:29:28.440 and I highly recommend it

01:29:32.360 and as we all know

01:29:33.320 I mean, the fact is

01:29:34.100 that if you enjoy shows

01:29:36.400 that feature me

01:29:37.320 but have others in them

01:29:38.360 then you should probably

01:29:41.580 enjoy No Safe Space

01:29:42.840 I will say

01:29:43.520 I will say

01:29:44.700 there are several

01:29:45.240 laugh out loud moments

01:29:46.160 in No Safe Spaces

01:29:46.940 and I think that

01:29:48.080 the flashback

01:29:48.740 to young Dennis

01:29:50.040 and young Adam

01:29:50.840 is just unbelievable

01:29:52.500 they did such a good job

01:29:54.820 with your segment, Ben

01:29:56.040 it is so funny

01:29:57.480 the way that they

01:29:58.220 juxtapose

01:29:59.120 5'9", Ben Shapiro

01:30:01.360 checking his phone

01:30:02.500 going through airport security

01:30:03.700 with like

01:30:04.500 the SWAT team

01:30:05.660 flying over him

01:30:08.220 it's fantastic

01:30:09.680 it's highly creative

01:30:10.480 again, No Safe Spaces

01:30:11.740 check it out

01:30:12.800 if there's a promo code

01:30:13.880 I'd give it to you

01:30:14.580 there isn't

01:30:15.200 you're just going to have

01:30:15.720 to spend your money

01:30:17.200 and it will be worth it to you

01:30:19.040 it's a fantastic film
