00:00:00.000 Anxious about choosing between a fixed or variable rate mortgage?
00:00:04.220 TD can help.
00:00:05.620 A fixed rate mortgage offers stability.
00:00:07.840 Your rate stays the same with a variable rate at TD.
00:00:10.900 If rates drop, you'll save on interest.
00:00:13.800 But if they rise, more of your payment goes towards interest.

00:00:30.000 Great news, everyone.
00:00:31.520 I know some of you have been worried about the effectively open southern border
00:00:35.200 across which millions and millions of foreign nationals are pouring every single day.
00:00:39.580 But according to Joe Biden's Secretary of Homeland Security,
00:00:42.840 the total number of border encounters is actually down by a lot over the past couple of days.
00:00:48.940 Over the past two days, the United States Border Patrol has experienced
00:00:53.200 a 50% drop in the number of encounters
00:00:56.720 versus what we were experiencing earlier in the week
00:01:00.360 before Title 42 ended at midnight on Thursday.
00:01:05.180 It is still early.
00:01:06.760 We are in day three.
00:01:08.440 But, you know, we've been planning for this transition for months and months,
00:01:12.800 and we've been executing on our plan, and we will continue to do so.
00:01:17.020 So it's too early to say whether the surge has peaked.
00:01:20.840 It is too early, but the numbers that we have experienced over the past two days
00:01:25.280 are markedly down over what they were prior to the end of Title 42.
00:01:31.300 Great news, right?
00:01:32.780 Except you'll notice he doesn't actually give any hard migrant numbers here.
00:01:38.420 It's only percentages.
00:01:39.720 So if border crossings were stable, and now they're down by half, that's great news.
00:01:45.060 But if the border crossings are up, up by, let's say, a factor of three or more,
00:01:51.400 then a reduction of 50% is actually still pretty bad news.
00:01:56.000 So what's the number?
00:01:57.780 What are the numbers?
00:01:58.780 5,000?
00:01:59.700 So we have seen, I think, approximately 6,300 on Friday
00:02:05.340 and about 4,200 yesterday by the United States Border Patrol.
00:02:11.240 And we saw over 10,000 before the end of Title 42 earlier last week.
00:02:17.740 And there it is.
00:02:19.380 What did he say, 6,200?
00:02:21.200 I remember not so long ago, I was interviewing a member of Congress
00:02:24.640 during an earlier border crisis, and the number was in the 2000s.
00:02:29.440 Maybe it was approaching 3,000 per day.
00:02:31.640 At that time, an unthinkable number.
00:02:33.800 Now, the administration is celebrating because the numbers are down to 6,000.
00:02:40.640 Double, at least double, that earlier unthinkable high.
00:02:45.460 And this is how the left wins.
00:02:47.860 The left wins by flooding the culture with madness,
00:02:52.260 not just on immigration, on drugs, on crime, on disorder.
00:02:56.840 The left wins by sending marauding gangs into the streets
00:03:00.460 to burn and pillage and kill people for eight months during the BLM riots.
00:03:05.520 And then when they pull back just a little bit on the chaos,
00:03:08.360 they celebrate a return to normal.
00:03:10.840 But it isn't normal.
00:03:12.560 It's a new normal.
00:03:14.000 A new normal that always, consistently, perpetually,
00:03:18.640 seems to benefit the left.
00:03:20.580 And then, before you've had time to adjust,
00:03:22.940 the left shifts the culture again.
00:03:25.520 Again, I'm Michael Knowles.
00:03:26.840 This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:03:46.760 We've got a really important announcement coming up
00:03:49.760 from the President of the United States.
00:03:52.560 Joe Biden, speaking at Howard University,
00:03:54.520 explains the biggest threat facing America.
00:03:58.280 We will get to that in just a second.
00:03:59.700 First, though, speaking of this migration crisis.
00:04:02.680 Some really sad news.
00:04:03.720 We're all joking about these numbers.
00:04:05.160 Oh, ha, ha, ha.
00:04:06.120 Wow, 3,000 illegals a day are coming over.
00:04:08.660 Wow, now it's 6,000.
00:04:09.980 Wow, it's 10,000.
00:04:10.800 Oh, golly, could this get any worse?
00:04:12.620 Wow, crazy, right?
00:04:13.800 But those numbers, those statistics,
00:04:15.900 have real humans behind them.
00:04:17.920 And there are really tragic stories behind them.
00:04:19.820 So, here we have it.
00:04:21.980 A minor has died in custody,
00:04:24.440 in Biden's custody,
00:04:26.300 amid the migrant surge.
00:04:28.080 This is a 17-year-old kid
00:04:29.900 named Angel Eduardo Maradiaga Espinosa.
00:04:35.020 We don't know exactly how or why he died,
00:04:37.740 but he died in Joe Biden's custody.
00:04:41.220 This, according to the Honduras Minister of Foreign Affairs.
00:04:45.100 The U.S. may or may not conduct an investigation.
00:04:49.220 I hope they do,
00:04:49.960 but you don't really need an investigation
00:04:51.340 to understand what's happening here.
00:04:55.500 If the U.S. did not have a policy
00:04:59.360 of encouraging foreign nationals
00:05:00.960 to flood across the border,
00:05:02.520 then this person would not have died in U.S. custody,
00:05:06.140 because this person would not have been permitted
00:05:08.140 into the U.S.,
00:05:08.820 would not have been encouraged
00:05:09.500 to come into the U.S. in the first place.
00:05:11.420 Whenever something like this would happen
00:05:12.940 on Trump's watch,
00:05:14.040 of course, it would be headline news,
00:05:16.060 international news,
00:05:17.000 Trump is killing migrants.
00:05:18.500 Because it's happening on Biden's watch here,
00:05:20.700 they're gonna brush this story under the rug.
00:05:22.280 You're probably only gonna hear about it
00:05:23.860 on this show,
00:05:24.960 maybe a few other conservative shows.
00:05:26.720 And it's not just Biden's fault,
00:05:29.140 but it is Biden's fault.
00:05:31.860 It's Biden's fault
00:05:32.700 and the fault of other people.
00:05:33.820 It's not everybody's fault.
00:05:34.940 You're gonna try to hear,
00:05:36.640 or you're going to hear people, rather,
00:05:38.080 try to say that,
00:05:39.500 well, it's really everyone
00:05:40.460 totally shares the responsibility.
00:05:42.140 No, it's not Trump's fault.
00:05:43.780 It's not the immigration hardliner's fault.
00:05:45.720 It's not the conservatives' fault.
00:05:47.560 It is the liberals' fault here,
00:05:49.400 because the liberals
00:05:50.040 are encouraging this system.
00:05:52.240 And they're encouraging this system cynically,
00:05:54.420 because they think
00:05:55.040 it's gonna get them more votes.
00:05:56.260 And the squishy Republicans think
00:05:57.640 it's gonna get them cheaper labor.
00:05:58.980 And so that's why
00:05:59.480 they encourage this system.
00:06:00.600 But the system has real human beings behind it.
00:06:03.300 And when you read this story,
00:06:05.940 if you're human,
00:06:07.000 if you have a beating heart,
00:06:08.480 you're not gonna say,
00:06:09.220 well, ha-ha,
00:06:10.000 it serves those guys right
00:06:10.980 for coming across the border.
00:06:12.740 And you're not gonna say,
00:06:13.720 well, it's the fault
00:06:14.520 of this one politician
00:06:15.460 or these two politicians.
00:06:16.560 You're gonna say,
00:06:17.060 this is a tragedy
00:06:17.940 that was preventable
00:06:19.880 if we just enforced the law
00:06:22.700 like we were supposed to do.
00:06:24.240 But because politicians,
00:06:27.660 including and especially Joe Biden,
00:06:29.820 disregard the law,
00:06:30.800 and they think,
00:06:32.040 well, I'm gonna cut
00:06:32.860 a little moral corner here.
00:06:34.260 I'm gonna ignore the law
00:06:35.200 and it's gonna give me
00:06:35.720 a political benefit.
00:06:36.940 When we do things
00:06:38.160 that are immoral,
00:06:39.460 when we do things
00:06:40.360 that are clearly wrong,
00:06:42.100 there are all sorts
00:06:43.140 of effects of that
00:06:44.120 in the real world
00:06:45.160 that we can't really plan for.
00:06:47.120 Such as a 17-year-old kid
00:06:49.000 dying in custody.
00:06:50.600 Very sad story.
00:06:52.640 I wish it would impel
00:06:53.760 liberal politicians
00:06:54.960 to knock it off
00:06:56.560 and to enforce the law,
00:06:57.560 but it probably will not.
00:06:58.500 Meanwhile, while you've got
00:07:00.540 migrants dying in Biden's custody,
00:07:02.520 the administration is focused
00:07:04.000 on the really important questions.
00:07:06.000 Not the immigration law,
00:07:07.980 not what to do
00:07:09.040 with the migrants
00:07:09.520 coming to the border.
00:07:10.440 No, no.
00:07:11.920 The question is,
00:07:13.160 do we or do we not
00:07:14.760 affirm the fake pronouns
00:07:17.960 of the transgender
00:07:19.440 illegal immigrants?
00:07:20.680 And on that question,
00:07:21.640 the Supreme Court says we do.
00:07:23.720 And the Supreme Court
00:07:24.640 doesn't just say this
00:07:25.340 in a 5-4 decision.
00:07:26.540 You know, maybe it's just
00:07:28.260 the liberals plus John Roberts.
00:07:30.180 No, this was a unanimous
00:07:31.300 decision of the court.
00:07:32.920 They issued this decision
00:07:33.940 on Thursday,
00:07:36.580 overruling a lower court's decision
00:07:38.480 against Leon Santos-Zacaria,
00:07:42.760 who's a Guatemalan
00:07:43.860 and trans-identifying man
00:07:45.980 who goes by Estrella.
00:07:48.380 Santos-Zacaria wants to stay
00:07:50.440 in the U.S. because he says
00:07:51.400 he would be persecuted
00:07:52.280 in Guatemala for thinking
00:07:53.900 that he is a woman.
00:07:54.720 And the court has decided
00:07:56.540 to affirm his fake pronouns.
00:07:59.560 So the court says
00:08:00.520 the government's got to call
00:08:02.040 this guy she.
00:08:05.200 And that's,
00:08:05.640 the whole court affirmed this.
00:08:08.480 Even the conservatives
00:08:10.000 issued a concurring opinion
00:08:12.240 with the libs.
00:08:14.320 And of course,
00:08:15.100 this is the case.
00:08:16.060 We are living in a post-Bostock,
00:08:18.560 post-Harris funeral homes world.
00:08:21.660 Those were two cases
00:08:22.840 on which the Supreme Court said
00:08:26.040 we embrace transgenderism.
00:08:28.180 And so,
00:08:28.900 even the conservative judges
00:08:30.000 are looking at this
00:08:30.640 and they're saying,
00:08:31.040 okay, well,
00:08:31.740 if the court has said
00:08:32.680 that this is now
00:08:33.280 the official policy,
00:08:34.780 this is how we've got to interpret
00:08:35.720 civil rights law,
00:08:36.440 we have to affirm transgenderism.
00:08:37.980 And if there are now
00:08:38.600 all sorts of laws
00:08:39.580 passed in the United States
00:08:40.740 to affirm transgenderism,
00:08:42.780 then you've got to affirm it
00:08:44.200 for everybody.
00:08:45.400 The court is just following
00:08:46.820 transgenderism
00:08:47.680 to its logical conclusion.
00:08:48.680 It cannot be the case
00:08:50.520 that transgenderism
00:08:51.760 is true for Americans
00:08:52.820 but not true for Guatemalans.
00:08:54.920 It can't be that American men
00:08:56.560 can secretly be women,
00:08:58.260 but Guatemalan men
00:08:59.260 cannot secretly be women.
00:09:01.140 This is why
00:09:01.880 trying to create
00:09:03.060 this fine dividing line
00:09:04.840 at age 18
00:09:06.640 or 16
00:09:07.620 or 20
00:09:08.520 or wherever they want
00:09:09.180 to draw the line
00:09:09.780 where they say,
00:09:10.400 okay,
00:09:10.700 at age 18,
00:09:11.780 suddenly men can become women.
00:09:13.160 Before 18,
00:09:13.960 they can't become women.
00:09:14.920 It's child abuse.
00:09:15.820 But at age 18,
00:09:16.900 they can become women
00:09:17.600 and we have to let the men
00:09:18.920 into the women's bathroom.
00:09:19.740 It's never going to make any sense.
00:09:21.040 It's just as silly
00:09:21.860 as saying that the southern border,
00:09:23.440 the Rio Grande,
00:09:24.400 is the dividing line
00:09:25.640 between where a man
00:09:26.960 can become a woman
00:09:27.600 and a man can't become a woman.
00:09:30.180 If you want to
00:09:32.120 knock off all this nonsense,
00:09:35.280 if you think it's silly
00:09:36.340 that we're referring
00:09:37.200 to an illegal alien dude
00:09:38.520 as a she,
00:09:39.320 as Estrella,
00:09:40.800 then you've got to rip out
00:09:42.280 the ideology of transgenderism
00:09:43.800 root and branch everywhere.
00:09:45.280 As long as we allow
00:09:47.420 this epistemological
00:09:49.040 and anthropological poison
00:09:50.660 to take hold
00:09:51.900 anywhere in our culture,
00:09:53.760 then it's got to be true
00:09:55.620 for everybody.
00:09:57.000 Everybody,
00:09:57.820 even including
00:09:58.540 the Guatemalans.
00:09:59.800 Now,
00:10:00.400 in such a chaotic culture,
00:10:01.480 you probably want
00:10:02.100 some tangible value.
00:10:04.020 You want a good,
00:10:04.920 strong place
00:10:05.320 to keep your wealth.
00:10:06.620 That's why you've got

00:10:10.880 President Trump
00:10:11.660 recently issued a warning
00:10:13.120 from his Mar-a-Lago home.
00:10:14.380 Our currency is crashing
00:10:16.440 and will soon
00:10:17.060 no longer be
00:10:17.640 the world standard,
00:10:18.800 which will be
00:10:19.220 our greatest defeat,
00:10:20.140 frankly,
00:10:20.500 in 200 years.
00:10:21.820 There are three reasons
00:10:23.000 the central banks
00:10:23.780 are dumping the U.S. dollar.
00:10:25.460 Inflation,
00:10:26.340 deficit spending,
00:10:27.460 and our insurmountable
00:10:28.600 national debt.
00:10:29.660 The fact is,
00:10:30.380 there's one asset
00:10:31.120 that has withstood
00:10:31.780 famine, wars,
00:10:32.720 and political
00:10:33.280 and economic upheaval

00:10:46.020 maybe from a previous employer,
00:10:47.580 into an IRA in gold.
00:10:49.180 The best part is,
00:10:49.980 you don't pay a penny
00:10:50.980 out of pocket.
00:10:52.060 Text Knowles,

00:11:21.660 Speaking of stomping out
00:11:22.940 woke ideology,
00:11:24.400 this was a headline
00:11:25.660 I wasn't totally expecting today,
00:11:27.720 but I really, really love it.
00:11:28.980 It's probably my favorite
00:11:29.700 story of the day.
00:11:31.260 Pope Francis
00:11:31.980 just destroyed
00:11:33.660 so-called dog moms
00:11:36.420 with facts
00:11:37.820 and logic.
00:11:39.660 Pope Francis
00:11:40.280 was appearing
00:11:40.760 at an event
00:11:41.140 with Giorgia Maloney,
00:11:42.320 who's the prime minister
00:11:43.320 of Italy.
00:11:44.800 And so Pope Francis
00:11:45.860 came out
00:11:46.320 and he said,
00:11:47.060 I believe
00:11:47.640 that the theme
00:11:48.720 of the birth rate
00:11:49.280 is central
00:11:49.840 for Europe.
00:11:51.300 I would like to give
00:11:52.140 only two snapshots
00:11:54.220 that happened here
00:11:56.160 at the Vatican
00:11:57.900 in St. Peter's Square.
00:12:01.640 Two weeks ago,
00:12:08.180 my secretary was in the square
00:12:09.220 and a mother
00:12:09.540 came up with her baby
00:12:11.400 in a push cart.
00:12:14.600 He is a priest.
00:12:15.600 He approached
00:12:15.980 to bless the child
00:12:17.420 and it was a little puppy.
00:12:21.120 15 days ago
00:12:21.880 at the Wednesday audience,
00:12:23.700 I was saying goodbye
00:12:24.380 to people.
00:12:26.820 I arrived at a lady.
00:12:29.100 She was basically
00:12:29.720 50 years old,
00:12:30.900 just like me.
00:12:31.800 I was telling you
00:12:32.580 a little joke.
00:12:40.840 I greet the lady.
00:12:45.020 She opens her bag
00:12:46.300 and says,
00:12:47.580 bless my baby.
00:12:48.940 It's a dog.
00:12:50.620 And I didn't have patience
00:12:51.660 and I scolded her.
00:12:54.420 I said,
00:12:54.900 ma'am,
00:12:55.400 so many children are hungry
00:12:56.820 and you've got
00:12:57.840 this little dog.
00:12:58.620 I love that.
00:12:59.620 Thank you.
00:13:00.020 Papa Francesco,
00:13:00.860 that is a beautiful thing
00:13:01.840 to say.
00:13:03.460 He's obviously right
00:13:04.840 on the point here.
00:13:06.860 It's too much.
00:13:07.700 I don't mean
00:13:08.720 to disparage people
00:13:09.660 with dogs.
00:13:10.340 I'm not totally
00:13:11.420 a dog person
00:13:12.120 or a cat person.
00:13:13.280 I'm more of a people person.
00:13:14.680 But I know,
00:13:15.160 people love their dogs
00:13:16.060 and it's good
00:13:16.520 to love your dogs.
00:13:17.400 But you've got to love
00:13:18.340 your dogs
00:13:19.040 in a way that is
00:13:20.500 appropriate to a dog.
00:13:22.700 That's a wonderful thing,
00:13:24.040 I've been told.
00:13:24.980 I'm not a big dog guy.
00:13:25.720 But it can be perfectly fine
00:13:28.400 to have a dog.
00:13:29.180 It can be really
00:13:30.140 quite lovely actually.
00:13:32.260 But if you love your dog
00:13:33.960 in an inappropriate way,
00:13:35.060 if you treat your dog
00:13:35.840 like a child,
00:13:36.840 that's not fine.
00:13:37.820 That's bad for everybody.
00:13:40.320 He's totally right
00:13:41.200 on this point.
00:13:42.040 He's right on the point
00:13:43.140 of birth rates.
00:13:44.180 I know so many people
00:13:45.000 who they won't have children.
00:13:46.260 They'll just adopt a dog
00:13:47.800 or they'll buy a dog
00:13:49.140 and then they'll treat
00:13:49.800 the dog like a child.
00:13:51.140 You've got to have children.
00:13:52.000 You've got to be fruitful
00:13:54.000 and multiply here.
00:13:55.720 The child is going to give you
00:13:57.980 a lot more joy in your life
00:13:59.200 and probably a lot more grief.
00:14:00.540 It's going to give you
00:14:00.920 a whole lot more life
00:14:01.960 than the dog ever will.
00:14:04.560 But at a broader
00:14:06.440 political level here,
00:14:09.420 consider not so much the dog
00:14:11.400 and the dog moms.
00:14:12.240 Consider Pope Francis here.
00:14:14.340 This is great.
00:14:15.340 We should applaud Pope Francis
00:14:16.680 for making this really great point
00:14:20.340 about family
00:14:21.120 and the importance of life
00:14:23.720 and the special place
00:14:25.360 of human beings
00:14:26.160 as different from the rest
00:14:27.300 of the animals.
00:14:27.820 We're living in a time
00:14:28.560 and in a culture
00:14:29.460 where the leading
00:14:31.320 intellectual public voices
00:14:33.440 are saying that humans
00:14:34.920 are really no different
00:14:35.820 from any other animal.
00:14:37.480 And here's Pope Francis,
00:14:38.880 who many people consider
00:14:39.920 to be fairly liberal.
00:14:41.980 He's coming out
00:14:42.500 and saying,
00:14:42.780 no, people are unique
00:14:44.080 and we're not the same
00:14:45.620 as dogs
00:14:46.120 and we've got to knock it off
00:14:46.980 with treating the dogs
00:14:47.780 like the babies, okay?
00:14:50.840 And we've got to applaud
00:14:51.840 Pope Francis
00:14:52.340 when he says things like this.
00:14:55.020 You know, a lot of conservatives
00:14:55.880 attack Pope Francis
00:14:56.720 all the time.
00:14:58.300 I, being a Catholic,
00:14:59.420 I don't ever attack
00:15:00.580 the Holy Father.
00:15:01.580 And when I am curious
00:15:03.020 about certain things
00:15:03.860 that Pope Francis says,
00:15:05.200 being Catholic,
00:15:06.200 we always phrase it
00:15:06.920 in a very respectful way.
00:15:07.960 We say, well, you know,
00:15:08.940 Papa Francesco,
00:15:10.080 I just have some questions
00:15:11.580 about,
00:15:12.380 just want to very politely
00:15:13.560 and reverently raise
00:15:14.620 some questions
00:15:15.180 about some odd things
00:15:16.400 that were reported
00:15:17.460 that you perhaps said.
00:15:18.700 But the only way forward
00:15:21.120 in this culture
00:15:21.920 is going to be two ways.
00:15:27.380 The only way
00:15:28.540 for conservatives
00:15:29.420 to gain any ground
00:15:30.340 in this culture
00:15:30.900 is when we are up against
00:15:32.540 the evil forces
00:15:33.580 of this world,
00:15:34.420 we need to subvert
00:15:35.560 those forces.
00:15:36.820 We've got to be clever
00:15:37.980 and we've got to subvert
00:15:39.000 the evil forces
00:15:39.640 of this world.
00:15:40.500 And when we're up against
00:15:42.140 innocently mistaken forces,
00:15:45.080 because not all of the people
00:15:46.480 who are opposing
00:15:47.180 a conservative agenda
00:15:48.800 are evil,
00:15:51.260 many of them
00:15:51.920 are very, very good people
00:15:53.000 and they're just
00:15:53.480 innocently mistaken sometimes.
00:15:55.340 If we want to be charitable,
00:15:56.540 if we want to give people
00:15:57.220 the benefit of the doubt,
00:15:58.140 if we see that Pope Francis
00:16:00.060 was reported
00:16:00.760 as having said something
00:16:01.700 that seems a little bit
00:16:02.540 out of line
00:16:03.140 with the Christian tradition,
00:16:04.820 we can give him
00:16:05.440 the benefit of the doubt
00:16:06.140 and say, well,
00:16:06.500 maybe he was misinterpreted,
00:16:08.060 maybe he was mistaken.
00:16:10.040 He's a man who,
00:16:11.160 except on the rare occasions
00:16:12.560 when the Pope
00:16:12.980 is infallible,
00:16:14.280 the Pope is fallible.
00:16:15.840 Or, you know,
00:16:16.240 when he's not speaking
00:16:17.340 ex cathedra on matters
00:16:18.300 of faith and morals,
00:16:19.100 he can say things
00:16:20.340 that are perfectly mistaken
00:16:21.160 and maybe he's just
00:16:21.740 made an innocent mistake.
00:16:22.940 And so,
00:16:23.620 when we're talking
00:16:25.420 to our friends,
00:16:26.120 when we're talking
00:16:26.540 to our colleagues,
00:16:27.340 when we're talking
00:16:27.720 to our family,
00:16:28.760 they might seem like
00:16:29.580 the biggest libs in the world,
00:16:30.680 but let's say their heart's
00:16:31.520 in the right place,
00:16:32.100 they're just a little mistaken.
00:16:33.360 I think the way
00:16:34.140 to overcome that
00:16:35.220 is with tact
00:16:36.760 and grace
00:16:37.800 and diplomacy.
00:16:39.080 You say, oh, you're right.
00:16:40.420 You're right about this point.
00:16:41.460 You're right to think
00:16:42.840 that it's a little weird
00:16:43.860 that there are dogs
00:16:46.100 in push carts
00:16:46.860 and people are treating
00:16:47.740 them like babies.
00:16:48.420 Okay, well,
00:16:48.780 what else does that imply?
00:16:50.180 What does that imply
00:16:50.960 about abortion?
00:16:52.640 What does that imply
00:16:53.240 about the family?
00:16:54.400 What does that imply
00:16:55.100 about the human person?
00:16:56.340 And you just kind of
00:16:57.220 do it delicately
00:16:57.980 with grace.
00:16:58.960 I think you can win
00:16:59.580 a lot of people over that way.
00:17:00.880 Now, speaking of
00:17:01.880 this kind of subversion,
00:17:03.480 Elon Musk has picked
00:17:04.320 a new CEO of Twitter.
00:17:05.920 Remember some months ago,
00:17:07.320 Elon said,
00:17:07.880 should I step down
00:17:08.440 as the CEO of Twitter?
00:17:09.420 And he said,
00:17:11.220 I'll abide by the results
00:17:12.240 of this poll.
00:17:13.040 They took a poll
00:17:13.720 and said,
00:17:14.740 you should step down.
00:17:16.380 Okay, now he's stepping down.
00:17:17.380 He's picked a new CEO.
00:17:18.380 He's going to remain
00:17:19.000 chairman of Twitter
00:17:19.720 and he's going to remain
00:17:20.380 the head of product.
00:17:22.000 So this CEO
00:17:23.580 is really just going
00:17:24.520 to be dealing
00:17:25.160 with business matters
00:17:26.680 and specifically advertising.
00:17:29.120 So he's hired this woman
00:17:30.320 who doesn't seem
00:17:32.260 totally perfect for the job.
00:17:33.900 This would be
00:17:34.180 Linda Yaccarino.
00:17:35.280 She has close ties
00:17:38.080 to the World Economic Forum.
00:17:39.620 That's not great.
00:17:41.000 She has endorsed
00:17:41.880 content moderation.
00:17:43.440 If you're a big
00:17:44.120 pro-free speech person,
00:17:45.180 that's not great.
00:17:46.220 She worked at NBCUniversal.
00:17:47.960 She was the company's
00:17:48.620 chair of global advertising
00:17:49.820 and partnerships
00:17:50.340 for more than a decade.
00:17:52.000 She not only has
00:17:53.140 an association
00:17:53.560 with the World Economic Forum,
00:17:54.960 she has chaired
00:17:56.100 the task force
00:17:57.040 on the future of work.
00:17:58.400 She sits on the
00:17:59.340 Media, Entertainment,
00:18:00.360 and Culture Industry
00:18:01.460 Governor's Steering Committee.
00:18:02.740 She's involved
00:18:03.620 in the WEF.
00:18:05.380 And so everyone's saying,
00:18:06.320 Elon, you totally
00:18:07.200 screwed us over.
00:18:07.980 You sold us out.
00:18:09.020 What's the matter with you?
00:18:09.820 Why did I ever
00:18:10.340 trust you at all?
00:18:12.480 All I'm going to say
00:18:13.520 is
00:18:14.580 I'm going to take
00:18:16.440 a breath here.
00:18:17.540 I'm going to give it
00:18:18.280 a minute.
00:18:19.080 I'm going to give Elon
00:18:19.940 a little bit of the
00:18:20.800 benefit of the doubt
00:18:21.600 because what option
00:18:22.240 do we have?
00:18:23.140 And I'm going to see
00:18:23.800 how this thing plays out.
00:18:25.040 It's kind of how I feel
00:18:26.180 about every Trump scandal.
00:18:29.200 For every second
00:18:30.120 that Trump was president
00:18:31.000 and even before
00:18:31.760 and even afterward,
00:18:32.480 there'd be a huge
00:18:34.280 shocking Trump scandal.
00:18:36.340 You, I can't believe
00:18:37.100 he did this.
00:18:37.580 And I would say,
00:18:38.140 okay, I'm going to wait
00:18:38.560 24 hours before I react
00:18:39.940 to this because I want
00:18:41.140 to see what actually
00:18:41.720 happened.
00:18:42.120 I want to see what
00:18:42.540 this really means.
00:18:44.200 That's how I feel here.
00:18:46.240 Because what is
00:18:46.860 Elon Musk thinking?
00:18:49.000 The main thing
00:18:50.020 I think Elon Musk
00:18:50.900 is thinking is that
00:18:51.840 Twitter is very likely
00:18:53.340 to go bankrupt.
00:18:55.340 He's come in
00:18:56.160 and he's done a great
00:18:56.900 job fixing the platform
00:18:57.920 and we're all grateful
00:18:58.820 for it.
00:18:59.140 But Twitter is in a
00:19:00.420 terrible financial
00:19:01.160 situation and is very,
00:19:02.920 very likely to go
00:19:03.520 bankrupt in a year
00:19:04.240 if the company
00:19:05.960 doesn't turn around.
00:19:07.540 So Elon needs
00:19:08.840 someone at Twitter
00:19:10.540 to turn around
00:19:13.200 the financial fortunes
00:19:14.540 of the company.
00:19:16.040 How can he do that?
00:19:17.400 Is he going to do that
00:19:18.220 by appointing Trump,
00:19:19.260 the new CEO of Twitter?
00:19:20.680 No.
00:19:21.320 I don't think that's
00:19:22.040 going to bring in
00:19:22.440 a lot of advertisers.
00:19:24.280 I don't think that's
00:19:24.800 going to bring in
00:19:25.160 a lot of revenue.
00:19:25.660 Is he going to do it
00:19:27.020 by appointing some
00:19:28.980 far right winger
00:19:29.720 to do it?
00:19:31.520 No.
00:19:32.000 The problem is that
00:19:32.760 the advertisers
00:19:33.460 are fleeing.
00:19:34.320 The problem is that
00:19:35.040 investors are
00:19:37.260 fairly shaky
00:19:39.540 on Twitter right now.
00:19:41.400 So this could be
00:19:42.340 an example.
00:19:42.780 I'm not saying it is.
00:19:43.520 I don't want to seem
00:19:44.140 like I'm an incurable
00:19:45.280 optimist.
00:19:46.040 But this could be
00:19:46.720 an example of
00:19:47.820 Elon Musk being
00:19:48.860 wise as a serpent
00:19:49.900 and innocent as a dove,
00:19:51.420 which is something
00:19:51.960 that conservatives
00:19:52.540 really have to do
00:19:53.480 if we're going to
00:19:54.260 win in this culture.
00:19:55.300 Don't forget,
00:19:55.780 the devil is the
00:19:56.300 prince of this world.
00:19:57.260 We fight against
00:19:57.720 principalities and powers
00:19:58.820 and spiritual wickedness
00:19:59.700 in high places.
00:20:00.500 We live in a very,
00:20:01.700 very lib culture
00:20:02.620 where the libs have
00:20:03.560 virtually all of the
00:20:04.560 power centers.
00:20:05.580 I guess every single one.
00:20:07.300 And so if we're going
00:20:07.760 to win,
00:20:08.400 we've got to be
00:20:08.880 a little clever sometimes.
00:20:10.400 We've got to be
00:20:10.960 a little nuanced
00:20:11.620 about how we do it.
00:20:12.680 And so if what is
00:20:13.720 going on here
00:20:14.460 is that Elon
00:20:15.760 is picking this
00:20:16.660 very lib-seeming woman
00:20:18.060 to be the public face
00:20:19.720 as the head of Twitter,
00:20:20.940 but then he's
00:20:21.840 maintaining his role
00:20:22.800 as chairman of the board
00:20:23.920 and head of product,
00:20:25.580 so he's actually running
00:20:26.500 how the product functions,
00:20:27.500 great.
00:20:29.900 And then that can
00:20:30.700 attract money
00:20:31.620 and investment
00:20:32.120 back to Twitter
00:20:32.760 and then that can
00:20:33.300 keep the platform
00:20:33.820 going for more
00:20:34.500 than a year.
00:20:35.540 Great.
00:20:35.980 That's a huge win.
00:20:36.720 Maybe it's not that.
00:20:37.460 Maybe Elon really is
00:20:38.340 just totally selling out.
00:20:39.320 Okay, that would be
00:20:39.880 too bad.
00:20:40.380 But as of now,
00:20:41.220 Elon has proven
00:20:42.300 a lot of his
00:20:43.220 conservative bona fides
00:20:45.180 and seems like he's
00:20:47.120 got his head screwed
00:20:47.760 on straight.
00:20:48.380 And so I'm willing
00:20:49.980 to give him the benefit
00:20:50.880 of the doubt.
00:20:52.640 Maybe it's because
00:20:53.180 I'm in a good mood
00:20:53.780 because I just,
00:20:54.180 I feel so vibrant
00:20:55.900 and young
00:20:56.680 and full,
00:20:58.120 full of life

00:21:12.740 buying meat
00:21:13.260 at the grocery store,
00:21:14.380 especially considering
00:21:15.180 that 85% of it
00:21:16.500 comes from overseas.

00:21:36.860 hundreds of dollars.
00:21:38.220 You need to change

00:21:40.120 Now is the perfect time

00:22:17.360 You know,
00:22:17.580 a popular 30-year-plus
00:22:20.020 university professor
00:22:21.500 was put on leave
00:22:22.360 for the crime
00:22:23.340 of passing out
00:22:24.040 Jeremy's he, him,
00:22:25.120 and she, her chocolate bars.
00:22:27.280 He was put on leave
00:22:28.060 for giving people chocolate.
00:22:31.280 Well, Jeremy believes
00:22:32.080 that every free American
00:22:33.160 ought to have the right
00:22:34.120 to hand out chocolate,
00:22:35.100 and that is why Jeremy
00:22:35.880 has taken his delicious
00:22:37.340 he, him, and she, her chocolate bars.
00:22:39.600 He's reduced them down

00:23:01.240 Speaking of stopping bad guys,
00:23:03.580 feel good story
00:23:04.340 of the day,
00:23:05.460 if not the year.
00:23:07.460 13-year-old boy
00:23:08.920 saved his sister
00:23:11.260 from being kidnapped
00:23:12.560 with a slingshot.
00:23:15.240 So there's an
00:23:15.960 eight-year-old girl.
00:23:16.840 She was playing out
00:23:17.740 around her backyard.
00:23:19.000 She was hunting
00:23:19.440 for mushrooms
00:23:20.160 when an older
00:23:21.720 teenage male,
00:23:23.020 17-year-old guy
00:23:24.360 comes out of the woods
00:23:25.480 and tries to kidnap her.
00:23:28.960 He said when the guy
00:23:30.880 was apprehended later,
00:23:32.440 he said he wanted
00:23:33.120 to beat the girl.
00:23:34.560 He was open about
00:23:35.580 what he was trying to do.
00:23:37.500 So this 13-year-old boy
00:23:38.920 sees this happening,
00:23:40.300 pulls out his slingshot,
00:23:41.940 and just dings this guy
00:23:43.540 right in the head.
00:23:45.000 And then at that moment,
00:23:46.320 the girl had the opportunity
00:23:47.380 to run away.
00:23:48.520 And then the 13-year-old
00:23:49.580 got him again.
00:23:51.360 And so the 17-year-old
00:23:52.680 ran off.
00:23:53.140 But the fact that he was
00:23:53.860 pinged in the head
00:23:54.480 with the rocks
00:23:55.200 made it easier
00:23:56.080 to apprehend him.
00:23:57.700 And so he's now been
00:23:58.960 arrested.
00:24:00.860 Really, really great news.
00:24:04.180 He's now been charged
00:24:05.040 with kidnapping,
00:24:05.960 child enticement,
00:24:06.940 one count of attempted assault
00:24:08.880 to do great bodily harm
00:24:09.900 less than murder,
00:24:11.000 one count of assault
00:24:11.740 and battery.
00:24:12.580 Okay, happy ending
00:24:13.380 to the story.
00:24:14.540 I bet everybody
00:24:15.760 who hears that story
00:24:16.540 is going to say,
00:24:17.120 this is a really great,
00:24:18.220 happy story.
00:24:20.380 Thank goodness
00:24:21.100 that little boy
00:24:21.820 had his slingshot.
00:24:22.660 He's like a regular
00:24:23.320 old Bart Simpson.
00:24:24.720 Boy, could you imagine
00:24:25.500 if he hadn't had
00:24:26.400 his slingshot,
00:24:27.160 what would have happened
00:24:27.820 to that girl?
00:24:29.320 We need to give
00:24:30.060 all these young boys
00:24:30.860 slingshots.
00:24:32.700 I bet you 95%
00:24:34.660 of people at least,
00:24:35.600 99% of people
00:24:36.500 who hear that story
00:24:37.080 would come to that conclusion.
00:24:39.200 Then some people
00:24:40.180 would fail to follow
00:24:41.280 the logic of that story
00:24:42.540 to our Second Amendment rights.
00:24:46.180 They would say,
00:24:46.820 well, no,
00:24:47.020 that's totally different.
00:24:48.360 It's good to give
00:24:49.100 young teenage boys
00:24:50.360 slingshots,
00:24:51.140 but it's bad
00:24:52.060 for adults
00:24:53.300 to be able to
00:24:53.820 protect themselves
00:24:54.500 from bad guys.
00:24:57.180 But 17-year-old
00:24:58.380 Mohawk kids
00:24:59.100 coming out of the woods,
00:25:00.480 those aren't
00:25:00.900 the only bad guys.
00:25:01.720 They're bad guys
00:25:02.200 at every single age.
00:25:03.880 And you're going to face
00:25:04.660 more bad guys
00:25:05.840 later on in your life
00:25:06.840 for the bulk of your life
00:25:07.840 when you're an adult
00:25:08.420 than you will
00:25:08.940 for the few years
00:25:09.920 that you're a teenager.
00:25:11.820 So how do you
00:25:12.860 bring that home?
00:25:14.680 It's a point
00:25:15.460 on political rhetoric.
00:25:17.240 The way
00:25:17.940 that politicians
00:25:19.660 succeed
00:25:20.440 is when they make
00:25:21.360 things really simple.
00:25:22.980 If you want to defend
00:25:24.120 the Second Amendment,
00:25:25.440 bring this story
00:25:26.540 in your back pocket.
00:25:27.840 This is it.
00:25:28.480 This is how Trump
00:25:29.140 has been very successful.
00:25:30.360 This is how Ronald Reagan
00:25:31.340 was very successful.
00:25:32.620 We don't need
00:25:33.140 to give long discourses
00:25:34.420 on natural rights
00:25:36.420 and natural law
00:25:37.280 and self-protection
00:25:38.160 and the technical
00:25:39.800 details of how guns work.
00:25:42.700 I'm all for that stuff.
00:25:43.700 I find that terribly interesting.
00:25:45.000 But when you're talking
00:25:45.640 to the libs,
00:25:47.140 this is what's going to do it.
00:25:48.540 You say,
00:25:49.000 goodness gracious,
00:25:49.660 could you imagine
00:25:50.080 what would have happened
00:25:51.000 to that eight-year-old girl
00:25:51.880 had that boy
00:25:52.920 not had a slingshot?
00:25:56.000 Yeah.
00:25:56.620 The same thing's true
00:25:57.500 for 25-year-olds, though.
00:25:58.860 And when you're 25,
00:26:00.100 the bad guys,
00:26:01.160 they're not just
00:26:02.240 carrying rocks and sticks.
00:26:04.000 They've got knives
00:26:04.960 and guns, too.
00:26:05.820 And so the same principle
00:26:07.560 is in effect there.
00:26:09.520 Wouldn't it be terrible
00:26:10.280 if the bad guys
00:26:11.100 got to kidnap people,
00:26:12.120 beat people up,
00:26:12.800 do even worse to people?
00:26:15.780 That's it.
00:26:16.060 You keep things
00:26:17.220 very, very simple.
00:26:19.560 Wasn't that a line
00:26:20.460 from James Carville,
00:26:21.640 keep it simple, stupid?
00:26:24.000 Now, speaking of
00:26:25.340 our political order,
00:26:26.360 turning to 2024,
00:26:27.900 things are heating up, baby.
00:26:29.180 And they're getting
00:26:29.620 pretty interesting.
00:26:30.940 Ron DeSantis
00:26:31.800 just held a big rally
00:26:32.960 in Iowa.
00:26:35.260 And then he stopped off
00:26:37.380 at a few places
00:26:38.000 after the rally,
00:26:39.120 shake some hands,
00:26:39.880 meet people,
00:26:40.600 probably kiss some babies.
00:26:42.120 Hours after speaking
00:26:43.080 in Cedar Rapids,
00:26:44.800 Governor DeSantis
00:26:45.600 made an unscheduled
00:26:47.000 stop in Des Moines.
00:26:48.120 And he went to
00:26:48.580 a barbecue restaurant,
00:26:50.060 shook some hands.
00:26:52.220 Where was President Trump?
00:26:54.720 President Trump
00:26:55.660 was not there.
00:26:57.940 President Trump
00:26:58.740 said that there was
00:27:01.060 a weather incident
00:27:01.860 that was likely
00:27:02.360 to take place.
00:27:03.300 And so,
00:27:04.780 he was at the airport,
00:27:06.740 he said,
00:27:07.100 in Palm Beach.
00:27:07.640 But he said,
00:27:08.220 okay, it looks like
00:27:08.800 there's severe weather here,
00:27:09.860 so I'm going to stay
00:27:10.300 in Palm Beach.
00:27:10.800 We're going to have
00:27:11.080 to cancel the rally.
00:27:12.160 But see you guys soon
00:27:13.160 in Iowa.
00:27:15.700 Then the DeSantis
00:27:16.680 stands accused Trump
00:27:19.860 of canceling the rally,
00:27:21.060 not because of the weather,
00:27:21.900 but because he felt
00:27:22.480 that he wouldn't be able
00:27:23.080 to fill the stadium
00:27:23.860 in the same way
00:27:24.700 that DeSantis was able to.
00:27:26.540 But DeSantis is saying,
00:27:27.460 or Trump rather,
00:27:28.400 is saying,
00:27:28.640 you can look at the map,
00:27:29.520 it looked like there
00:27:29.980 was severe weather here,
00:27:30.800 but then the weather
00:27:31.220 was okay.
00:27:31.760 All right, fine.
00:27:33.040 What does this mean?
00:27:35.280 This means that DeSantis
00:27:36.740 is staking his campaign
00:27:40.020 and his campaign's ability
00:27:41.440 to turn around the momentum,
00:27:42.860 which right now
00:27:43.400 is totally in Trump's favor.
00:27:45.000 He's staking it on Iowa
00:27:46.360 because those Iowa caucuses
00:27:48.100 are going to be
00:27:48.700 the first up.
00:27:49.900 And if DeSantis
00:27:51.040 can score a win in Iowa,
00:27:53.360 then maybe he's got
00:27:54.160 some momentum
00:27:54.600 going into New Hampshire.
00:27:55.680 Maybe he's got some momentum
00:27:56.740 going into places
00:27:57.440 like South Carolina
00:27:58.360 and Florida.
00:27:59.380 Maybe he could turn
00:28:00.060 this thing around.
00:28:02.580 DeSantis just scored
00:28:03.480 a couple endorsements
00:28:04.360 from top Iowa leaders.
00:28:05.740 We've got Amy Sinclair
00:28:07.060 as the Senate president there,
00:28:08.760 and Matt Winchittle,
00:28:10.980 who's the House majority leader.
00:28:13.320 He is clearly targeting Iowa.
00:28:15.840 Okay, now maybe it'll work,
00:28:18.080 maybe it won't.
00:28:18.900 Right now,
00:28:19.360 Trump is way up in Iowa,
00:28:20.680 but the Iowa caucuses
00:28:24.880 can be won
00:28:26.120 by tens of thousands of votes.
00:28:29.620 The Iowa caucuses
00:28:31.220 in 2016,
00:28:33.520 it was Ted Cruz
00:28:35.540 who won them.
00:28:37.320 Cruz won Iowa
00:28:38.320 with 51,666 votes.
00:28:41.300 This is a very,
00:28:42.200 very small number.
00:28:42.840 Congressional elections
00:28:43.700 are decided
00:28:45.040 by more votes than this,
00:28:46.580 by many more votes
00:28:47.540 in some cases.
00:28:49.000 So getting on the ground,
00:28:50.500 shaking hands
00:28:51.100 can do quite a lot.
00:28:53.380 That said, though,
00:28:54.200 right now the numbers,
00:28:55.760 this is according to
00:28:56.400 National Research Incorporated
00:28:57.540 and American Greatness.
00:28:59.100 Trump's at 44,
00:29:00.900 DeSantis 26,
00:29:02.540 Haley at 6,
00:29:03.300 Pence at 4,
00:29:03.940 Ramaswamy at 3,
00:29:05.340 Asa Hutchinson
00:29:05.940 is turning up.
00:29:06.580 That's interesting,
00:29:07.080 1%.
00:29:07.540 Tim's got 1%.
00:29:09.360 Chris Sununu at 0%.
00:29:11.100 That's rough.
00:29:12.100 So Trump, rather,
00:29:13.300 is up by 18 points
00:29:15.320 in Iowa,
00:29:16.560 which means
00:29:17.280 this is still
00:29:19.100 Trump's race
00:29:20.880 to lose.
00:29:23.720 DeSantis
00:29:24.160 might be able
00:29:25.200 to pull it out.
00:29:25.880 Iowa's a weird place.
00:29:27.560 Being on the ground
00:29:28.240 there shaking hands
00:29:28.980 can do a lot.
00:29:31.540 Even if DeSantis
00:29:32.500 wins there,
00:29:34.720 it might not be enough
00:29:35.620 to turn around
00:29:36.140 the momentum in the race,
00:29:37.140 as you saw with
00:29:37.980 Senator Cruz
00:29:38.800 back in 2016.
00:29:40.460 But as of today,
00:29:42.720 this remains
00:29:43.540 Trump's race
00:29:44.660 to lose.
00:29:45.660 Now,
00:29:46.900 how about our
00:29:47.300 current rulers?
00:29:48.100 I mentioned last week
00:29:49.180 Dianne Feinstein
00:29:50.420 is back in the Senate
00:29:51.500 and she looks
00:29:52.980 very, very frail.
00:29:54.180 She just recovered
00:29:54.780 from shingles.
00:29:55.940 She's in a wheelchair.
00:29:57.220 There was an anecdote
00:29:58.580 that came out
00:29:59.220 that she passed
00:29:59.740 by Senator Tim Scott
00:30:01.040 in the hallway
00:30:01.940 of the Senate
00:30:02.480 and said,
00:30:03.640 oh, Senator,
00:30:04.520 I'm so glad
00:30:05.220 to have you here.
00:30:06.140 We were really
00:30:06.700 pulling for you.
00:30:08.400 And this would be strange
00:30:10.280 because Tim Scott
00:30:10.920 is a Republican
00:30:11.580 and people seem
00:30:13.000 to think
00:30:13.340 that she just
00:30:13.780 got him confused
00:30:14.680 with the other
00:30:15.560 black senator
00:30:16.220 that would be
00:30:16.720 Raphael Warnock
00:30:17.800 who's a socialist
00:30:19.220 and a far left-wing
00:30:21.280 Democrat.
00:30:22.460 And according
00:30:23.340 to the reporting
00:30:24.360 of this anecdote,
00:30:25.220 Senator Scott
00:30:25.660 was very gracious
00:30:26.980 about it
00:30:27.320 and said,
00:30:27.520 oh, thank you,
00:30:28.020 Senator.
00:30:28.640 Your support
00:30:29.300 means so much.
00:30:30.100 Thank you very much.
00:30:31.600 And this has all
00:30:33.400 been taken as evidence
00:30:34.360 that Dianne Feinstein
00:30:35.640 needs to resign
00:30:36.540 right now.
00:30:37.740 No.
00:30:38.020 No, I've said before,
00:30:40.480 I'm very pro
00:30:41.280 keeping Feinstein
00:30:42.340 in the Senate.
00:30:42.960 I want her to stay
00:30:43.720 there now.
00:30:44.400 I want her to seek
00:30:45.180 and win re-election.
00:30:46.460 I want her there
00:30:46.980 for a few more terms,
00:30:47.940 actually.
00:30:48.320 I'd say 18 to 25,
00:30:50.020 I guess it would be
00:30:50.740 six-year terms,
00:30:51.320 so 18 to 24 more years
00:30:52.500 at least.
00:30:54.960 What is she not doing
00:30:56.820 that she's supposed
00:30:57.500 to be doing
00:30:58.000 as a senator?
00:30:58.640 Senators have very little
00:30:59.580 real power right now.
00:31:00.900 Much of what they do
00:31:01.760 is run by the staff.
00:31:04.420 Much of the operation
00:31:05.520 of the Senate
00:31:05.920 is run by the majority leader.
00:31:08.020 And the minority leader
00:31:09.280 anyway.
00:31:10.760 And furthermore,
00:31:11.500 for people who say,
00:31:12.340 we need age limits,
00:31:13.380 not just in the Senate,
00:31:14.320 but on all our politicians,
00:31:16.300 but especially the Senate.
00:31:17.540 We need age limits.
00:31:18.800 These people are too old.
00:31:19.860 We don't need all these
00:31:20.420 old people in the Senate.
00:31:21.540 Do you know what
00:31:22.160 the word Senate means?
00:31:24.280 The word Senate
00:31:25.240 comes from
00:31:26.600 the Latin word
00:31:27.500 Senax,
00:31:28.720 which means old man.
00:31:31.080 The Senate is a place
00:31:32.620 that is specifically
00:31:33.600 meant for
00:31:34.880 very old people.
00:31:37.340 That's what it's for.
00:31:37.780 I know that young people
00:31:38.940 sometimes run for the Senate.
00:31:40.180 It's usually because
00:31:40.840 they have presidential ambitions
00:31:42.080 or they want to get
00:31:43.120 into an administration.
00:31:44.140 But the Senate
00:31:44.760 traditionally is understood
00:31:45.780 as a place
00:31:46.320 for old people.
00:31:49.040 Who cares
00:31:49.760 that she's old?
00:31:52.320 Doesn't really
00:31:53.140 affect anything.
00:31:54.460 The Senate,
00:31:55.200 especially today,
00:31:56.300 largely exists
00:31:57.180 to do nothing.
00:31:59.180 And so,
00:31:59.760 if we can have
00:32:00.380 a marginally more
00:32:01.440 right-wing senator,
00:32:02.640 fine by me.
00:32:04.580 Speaking of women
00:32:05.520 of a certain age,
00:32:09.600 Cleopatra.
00:32:12.440 Netflix has this show
00:32:14.100 on Cleopatra.
00:32:15.680 They've cast a black woman
00:32:16.940 to play Cleopatra.
00:32:18.260 This is very strange
00:32:19.260 because Cleopatra
00:32:20.100 was not black.
00:32:22.200 The conservatives
00:32:22.740 pointed this out.
00:32:23.480 They said,
00:32:23.660 it's a little bit weird.
00:32:25.460 You know,
00:32:25.660 you wouldn't cast
00:32:26.180 a white guy
00:32:26.640 to play Malcolm X.
00:32:28.120 So why are we casting
00:32:29.260 a black lady
00:32:29.780 to play Cleopatra?
00:32:30.580 And the libs
00:32:32.880 have doubled down.
00:32:33.820 So now the New York Times
00:32:34.740 has come out
00:32:35.280 with the strongest defense
00:32:36.580 of black Cleopatra.
00:32:38.220 They've defended
00:32:38.960 this casting decision
00:32:40.160 by saying that Cleopatra
00:32:41.400 was, quote,
00:32:43.700 culturally black.
00:32:48.380 Cleopatra,
00:32:49.540 they say, quote,
00:32:51.620 in contemporary
00:32:52.460 American pop culture,
00:32:54.280 the assertion
00:32:54.860 is often stated
00:32:55.500 as fact
00:32:56.080 with her characterized
00:32:57.500 as a beautiful
00:32:58.780 and powerful
00:32:59.700 black African queen,
00:33:01.880 her name
00:33:02.580 commonly referred to
00:33:04.280 as such
00:33:05.120 in hip-hop.
00:33:08.740 So she's culturally black.
00:33:11.420 Even if she wasn't
00:33:12.520 culturally black
00:33:13.260 back in her ancient days,
00:33:14.480 today,
00:33:15.080 in American culture,
00:33:16.080 that is how she is
00:33:17.000 understood to be.
00:33:18.700 And so,
00:33:19.740 we're going to cast her
00:33:20.620 as black.
00:33:20.980 That's fine.
00:33:24.400 Cleopatra,
00:33:25.600 racially,
00:33:26.780 was white.
00:33:27.300 Cleopatra culturally
00:33:30.640 was white.
00:33:32.720 I'm not sure
00:33:33.220 that those terms
00:33:35.160 necessarily totally
00:33:36.920 correspond to antiquity,
00:33:39.220 but in as much
00:33:40.100 as they do,
00:33:40.920 she was a Mediterranean
00:33:42.180 ruler who spoke
00:33:44.920 Greek,
00:33:46.320 who,
00:33:47.720 if you had to say,
00:33:49.540 is she black
00:33:49.900 or is she white,
00:33:50.440 she was definitely
00:33:51.280 white.
00:33:52.080 Cleopatra had
00:33:53.260 absolutely
00:33:54.140 nothing in common
00:33:55.940 with what we would
00:33:56.800 today call
00:33:57.740 black culture.
00:34:00.180 All this is
00:34:01.640 is
00:34:03.360 an expression
00:34:04.720 of our popular
00:34:05.660 cultures
00:34:06.140 animus today
00:34:07.140 toward white people
00:34:09.020 and anything
00:34:09.760 that can be associated
00:34:10.720 with white people.
00:34:12.100 That's all it is.
00:34:13.540 I mentioned earlier
00:34:14.300 that in politics,
00:34:15.360 usually you can keep
00:34:16.100 things pretty simple.
00:34:17.160 This is a pretty
00:34:17.760 simple one.
00:34:19.580 The culture
00:34:20.420 just hates
00:34:21.140 white people.
00:34:22.800 In our law,
00:34:24.280 the only racial group,
00:34:25.840 along with the Asians
00:34:26.560 a little bit,
00:34:27.260 that you can
00:34:28.020 legally discriminate
00:34:29.180 against is white people.
00:34:31.960 And here's where
00:34:33.100 the white people
00:34:35.640 and the Asians
00:34:36.280 diverge.
00:34:37.840 Culturally speaking,
00:34:38.920 the only group
00:34:39.620 that it is acceptable
00:34:40.360 to insult
00:34:41.320 is white people.
00:34:43.420 It's actually
00:34:43.920 encouraged in our culture
00:34:45.180 to insult
00:34:46.940 white people.
00:34:48.160 That's all
00:34:49.060 this is about.
00:34:50.840 That's it.
00:34:52.640 They're not
00:34:53.420 defending this
00:34:54.280 as a matter
00:34:55.660 of colorblind casting,
00:34:56.820 which would be insane
00:34:57.740 for a documentary
00:34:58.580 or a docudrama,
00:34:59.760 right?
00:35:01.220 I'm fine with
00:35:02.560 Denzel Washington
00:35:03.600 playing Macbeth
00:35:04.520 because
00:35:05.540 the race
00:35:08.480 of Macbeth
00:35:09.420 isn't really
00:35:10.600 all that important
00:35:11.240 and we've had
00:35:11.640 all sorts of versions
00:35:12.640 of Shakespeare's plays
00:35:13.460 and Denzel Washington
00:35:14.440 is one of the greatest
00:35:15.080 actors of his generation
00:35:16.100 and so it was
00:35:16.780 a great movie.
00:35:17.500 But if there were
00:35:20.080 a biopic
00:35:20.680 on George Washington,
00:35:22.060 that would be strange
00:35:22.900 for Denzel
00:35:23.420 to play that character.
00:35:26.380 And certainly
00:35:27.220 you would never
00:35:27.940 see it go
00:35:28.340 in the other direction.
00:35:29.380 All this is about
00:35:30.280 is our culture
00:35:32.140 disliking white people.
00:35:34.680 And
00:35:34.960 you're seeing this
00:35:36.720 expressed
00:35:37.260 not just at the level
00:35:38.680 of the bureaucracy
00:35:39.360 and the law.
00:35:40.180 You're seeing this
00:35:40.580 not just expressed
00:35:41.340 out of Hollywood
00:35:42.420 or out of the academy.
00:35:44.000 You're seeing this
00:35:44.580 expressed
00:35:44.960 at the very
00:35:45.960 highest levels
00:35:46.840 of politics.
00:35:48.520 Joe Biden
00:35:49.020 goes to Howard University
00:35:50.460 in a historically
00:35:51.080 black college
00:35:51.840 and he gives
00:35:53.680 a speech
00:35:54.000 on the greatest
00:35:54.400 threat to America.
00:35:55.160 What's the greatest
00:35:55.680 threat?
00:35:56.300 You guessed it,
00:35:58.000 white people.
00:35:59.080 Now my favorite
00:35:59.940 comment on Friday
00:36:01.200 is from
00:36:01.520 Busy Mouse Animations
00:36:02.580 who says,
00:36:03.300 we now live
00:36:03.740 in a culture
00:36:04.140 where Batman
00:36:04.800 would be arrested
00:36:05.620 and thrown in jail.
00:36:06.760 That's very true
00:36:07.600 though it's important
00:36:08.520 to note
00:36:09.020 Batman would always
00:36:10.680 be arrested
00:36:11.280 and thrown in jail.
00:36:12.880 That's the point
00:36:13.660 of the story.
00:36:14.960 The point
00:36:15.640 of the story
00:36:16.220 is that
00:36:17.240 Gotham,
00:36:18.460 New York City
00:36:19.120 has gotten so bad
00:36:20.800 that the government,
00:36:21.780 the politicians
00:36:22.300 have screwed up
00:36:22.920 so much,
00:36:23.520 they're so corrupt,
00:36:24.340 they're so feckless
00:36:25.060 that you need
00:36:26.320 at that point
00:36:26.960 a vigilante
00:36:27.660 to come in
00:36:28.160 and restore order.
00:36:30.200 But vigilantes
00:36:31.240 are not protected
00:36:32.020 by the law.
00:36:33.060 They're outside
00:36:33.620 of the civil authority
00:36:34.560 and so they're always
00:36:35.740 on the wrong side
00:36:36.360 of things.
00:36:36.920 And they might be
00:36:37.760 necessary at certain
00:36:38.780 points to protect
00:36:39.520 the innocent
00:36:39.980 but they could always
00:36:41.780 be thrown in jail.
00:36:43.020 They're vigilantes.
00:36:44.940 And so what's so sad
00:36:46.620 in New York
00:36:47.420 is that
00:36:48.300 if the politicians
00:36:49.540 did their jobs,
00:36:51.120 if the politicians
00:36:52.080 allowed the cops
00:36:52.920 to do their jobs,
00:36:53.920 then you wouldn't need
00:36:55.300 a U.S. Marine
00:36:57.280 to take down
00:36:58.500 a violent criminal
00:36:59.660 who'd been arrested
00:37:00.280 44 times
00:37:01.500 including for assault
00:37:02.820 who had a warrant
00:37:03.760 out for his arrest
00:37:04.460 already when he was there
00:37:05.380 threatening people
00:37:06.040 in the subway car
00:37:06.760 saying I'm gonna hurt
00:37:07.760 people in this car.
00:37:09.220 I'm ready to die.
00:37:10.400 And then this Marine
00:37:11.400 protects people
00:37:12.180 heroically.
00:37:14.100 You wouldn't need that
00:37:15.280 because the guy
00:37:16.120 would be taken down
00:37:16.840 by the guys in blue.
00:37:18.680 But because
00:37:19.700 they're not allowed
00:37:20.400 to do their jobs
00:37:21.100 then the Marine
00:37:22.020 has to come in
00:37:22.760 and Batman Marine,
00:37:24.880 Sergeant Marine,
00:37:25.560 I don't know
00:37:25.800 what his rank was,
00:37:26.780 he comes in
00:37:27.720 and now
00:37:28.220 he's being prosecuted.
00:37:29.740 That's another one
00:37:30.620 of the real tragedies
00:37:33.560 that a lot of people
00:37:34.080 don't predict
00:37:34.580 about the breakdown
00:37:35.520 of order.
00:37:36.040 Just like the 17-year-old
00:37:37.560 teenage boy migrant
00:37:38.940 who dies in Joe Biden's
00:37:40.500 custody
00:37:40.880 is one of those
00:37:42.540 unforeseen,
00:37:44.480 a lot of us
00:37:45.960 could predict it
00:37:46.560 but the people
00:37:47.440 who are opening
00:37:47.860 the border
00:37:48.180 they say,
00:37:48.580 oh well,
00:37:49.000 who could have known
00:37:49.860 that this would lead
00:37:51.100 to migrants
00:37:51.840 dying in custody?
00:37:54.220 When you commit sins,
00:37:56.440 when you permit crime,
00:37:58.040 when you allow
00:37:58.540 order to unravel
00:38:00.080 and chaos to flourish,
00:38:01.360 you're gonna see
00:38:01.760 lots of these
00:38:02.860 downstream effects
00:38:04.940 of that
00:38:05.260 that are awful.
00:38:06.200 One of which is
00:38:07.180 in our culture
00:38:07.860 that we're gonna prosecute
00:38:09.440 the vigilante heroes
00:38:10.780 who are stepping up
00:38:11.620 because the political order
00:38:12.720 won't protect citizens.
00:38:15.600 The greatest threat
00:38:16.640 to America right now,
00:38:18.680 is it
00:38:19.200 World War III
00:38:21.300 which we're on the brink of
00:38:22.240 because Joe Biden
00:38:23.000 invited a Russian invasion
00:38:24.440 of Ukraine?
00:38:25.320 Is it
00:38:25.980 the
00:38:27.100 completely open border,
00:38:28.600 huge national security threat
00:38:29.940 and
00:38:30.240 even more broadly
00:38:31.580 a threat to our
00:38:32.080 political system,
00:38:33.140 10,000 people a day
00:38:34.040 coming across?
00:38:34.780 No,
00:38:35.020 it's not that.
00:38:35.600 It's not even the sun monster
00:38:37.540 which Biden tells us
00:38:38.900 to worry about.
00:38:39.700 No, no,
00:38:40.860 it's white people.
00:38:43.340 Stand up against the poison
00:38:45.020 of white supremacy
00:38:46.760 as I did my inaugural address
00:38:48.380 to a single out
00:38:49.460 as the most dangerous
00:38:51.120 terrorist threat
00:38:51.800 to our homeland
00:38:52.500 is white supremacy.
00:38:53.920 And I'm not saying this
00:39:03.720 because I'm at a black
00:39:04.860 HBCU.
00:39:07.020 I say it
00:39:07.920 wherever I go.
00:39:10.100 There's a mic screech
00:39:11.440 even
00:39:11.720 at the
00:39:12.280 end there.
00:39:14.000 Even the microphone
00:39:15.000 knows that Joe Biden
00:39:16.440 is making this up
00:39:18.360 that it's completely
00:39:19.300 ridiculous.
00:39:20.580 the most dangerous
00:39:22.520 terrorist threat
00:39:23.140 to our homeland
00:39:23.800 is white supremacy.
00:39:25.600 And I'm not just
00:39:26.280 saying this
00:39:26.720 because I'm obviously
00:39:27.420 pandering to you
00:39:28.180 at a historically
00:39:28.740 black college.
00:39:29.540 No, no.
00:39:30.700 I say it
00:39:31.340 wherever I go.
00:39:33.420 Nobody really
00:39:34.520 believes this.
00:39:36.680 A lot of people
00:39:37.660 say this
00:39:38.520 because
00:39:39.960 it helps to advance
00:39:41.780 a political agenda
00:39:42.620 but nobody really
00:39:43.520 behaves this way.
00:39:44.900 Nobody really
00:39:45.680 behaves as though
00:39:46.540 white people
00:39:47.180 are the greatest threat.
00:39:48.420 Nobody is avoiding
00:39:49.200 moving into
00:39:50.180 white neighborhoods.
00:39:52.100 Nobody is avoiding
00:39:53.000 going to white places.
00:39:54.420 I often
00:39:54.960 think about this
00:39:56.480 in relation to
00:39:57.540 the so-called
00:39:58.740 campus rape epidemic.
00:40:00.460 You've probably
00:40:00.840 heard this number
00:40:01.400 that during their
00:40:02.460 time in college
00:40:03.340 one in five
00:40:04.060 or by the time
00:40:04.540 they graduate
00:40:04.920 one in five
00:40:06.040 or even one in four
00:40:07.060 women
00:40:07.400 will have been raped.
00:40:09.940 You say,
00:40:10.660 well that's a
00:40:11.120 shocking number.
00:40:11.900 If that were true
00:40:12.460 by golly
00:40:13.480 we have to get
00:40:14.440 all of the forces
00:40:16.220 of America
00:40:16.780 all the resources
00:40:17.500 possible
00:40:17.980 to stop this.
00:40:19.640 But it's
00:40:20.260 obviously not true.
00:40:21.440 If that number
00:40:21.920 were true
00:40:22.500 then Harvard Yard
00:40:23.740 would be more
00:40:24.300 dangerous to young
00:40:25.160 women
00:40:25.420 than the back
00:40:26.260 alleys of Botswana.
00:40:28.540 Nobody
00:40:28.980 seriously believes
00:40:29.700 that.
00:40:30.040 If you really
00:40:30.700 believed
00:40:31.200 that your
00:40:32.040 daughter
00:40:32.520 had a one
00:40:33.240 in five
00:40:33.560 or one
00:40:33.820 in four
00:40:34.040 chance
00:40:34.380 of being
00:40:34.780 raped
00:40:35.240 by going
00:40:35.960 to Princeton
00:40:36.640 you would
00:40:37.280 never send
00:40:38.000 your daughter
00:40:38.340 to college.
00:40:39.880 You would
00:40:40.660 be insane.
00:40:41.800 You would
00:40:42.000 be criminally
00:40:43.380 negligent
00:40:43.920 as far as
00:40:44.300 I'm concerned
00:40:44.800 to send
00:40:45.240 your daughter
00:40:45.520 to college
00:40:45.900 if she had
00:40:46.160 a 20
00:40:46.580 or 25%
00:40:47.180 chance
00:40:47.440 of being
00:40:47.660 raped.
00:40:48.100 No one
00:40:48.420 really
00:40:48.620 believes that.
00:40:49.200 People say
00:40:49.820 that because
00:40:50.560 it advances
00:40:51.100 a feminist
00:40:51.620 political
00:40:52.120 agenda
00:40:52.500 but no
00:40:54.780 one seriously
00:40:55.240 believes it.
00:40:55.620 And the same
00:40:55.840 thing here.
00:40:56.960 Calling white
00:40:57.460 supremacy the
00:40:58.000 greatest threat
00:40:58.400 to America
00:40:58.960 is politically
00:41:00.860 useful to some
00:41:01.580 people but
00:41:01.920 nobody really
00:41:02.500 believes it.
00:41:03.020 If so
00:41:04.060 nobody would
00:41:04.680 be moving
00:41:05.360 to the
00:41:06.000 posh
00:41:06.380 suburbs
00:41:06.940 of
00:41:07.540 New York
00:41:08.380 or
00:41:09.000 Chicago
00:41:09.560 or
00:41:10.780 Los Angeles
00:41:12.380 or anywhere
00:41:12.760 else.
00:41:13.400 I'd say
00:41:13.960 no there's
00:41:14.400 too many
00:41:14.600 white people
00:41:15.000 around here.
00:41:15.580 Goodness
00:41:15.760 gracious
00:41:16.100 they're the
00:41:16.600 biggest terrorist
00:41:17.120 threat of all.
00:41:18.060 And Joe
00:41:18.540 Biden saying
00:41:19.160 this
00:41:19.580 shows us
00:41:21.300 that he
00:41:22.280 is
00:41:22.780 immune
00:41:23.580 to facts.
00:41:25.600 The man
00:41:26.320 is immune
00:41:26.980 to the truth
00:41:27.600 as he
00:41:29.680 has been.
00:41:31.020 Joe Biden
00:41:31.540 is a
00:41:32.320 true
00:41:32.680 cynic
00:41:33.220 in that
00:41:35.460 it's not
00:41:36.840 that he
00:41:37.080 always
00:41:37.380 prefers
00:41:37.820 falsehood
00:41:38.500 to the
00:41:39.180 truth.
00:41:40.500 It's that
00:41:41.200 he just
00:41:41.560 doesn't
00:41:42.080 care.
00:41:43.800 It's the
00:41:44.580 line from
00:41:45.160 Pontius Pilate
00:41:45.960 when he's
00:41:48.140 confronting
00:41:48.520 Christ and
00:41:49.100 he says
00:41:49.320 what is
00:41:49.780 truth?
00:41:50.160 What is
00:41:50.400 truth?
00:41:50.660 Who cares?
00:41:52.560 That's
00:41:52.840 Biden.
00:41:53.480 And that's
00:41:53.820 the people
00:41:54.140 who repeat
00:41:55.020 this nonsense.
00:41:56.020 Now
00:41:56.220 the AP
00:41:57.900 might
00:41:59.660 disagree
00:42:00.040 with Joe
00:42:00.460 Biden
00:42:00.740 on the
00:42:01.080 greatest
00:42:01.300 threat
00:42:01.660 in
00:42:02.020 America
00:42:02.380 because
00:42:03.700 according
00:42:04.000 to the
00:42:04.380 libs
00:42:04.820 one of
00:42:06.200 the
00:42:06.320 tippy-top
00:42:06.700 threats
00:42:07.080 is
00:42:08.140 not
00:42:08.620 just
00:42:08.820 white
00:42:09.020 people
00:42:09.320 but
00:42:10.040 parents.
00:42:11.520 According
00:42:12.080 to the
00:42:12.360 Associated
00:42:12.820 Press
00:42:13.080 this
00:42:13.280 might
00:42:13.660 be
00:42:13.780 my
00:42:13.960 favorite
00:42:14.220 headline
00:42:14.520 I've
00:42:14.700 ever
00:42:14.880 seen.
00:42:16.620 Trans
00:42:17.220 minors
00:42:17.960 protected
00:42:18.860 from
00:42:19.300 parents
00:42:19.920 under
00:42:20.500 Washington
00:42:21.100 law.
00:42:22.820 The AP
00:42:23.480 especially
00:42:24.020 in recent
00:42:24.500 years
00:42:24.780 has
00:42:25.240 become
00:42:25.520 a
00:42:25.720 far
00:42:26.240 left-wing
00:42:26.840 news
00:42:27.140 outlet.
00:42:28.480 Much
00:42:28.920 worse
00:42:29.220 than
00:42:29.360 Reuters.
00:42:29.660 The AP
00:42:29.940 is supposed
00:42:30.320 to cut
00:42:30.660 it right
00:42:30.900 down
00:42:31.080 the
00:42:31.200 middle
00:42:31.400 and
00:42:32.380 then
00:42:32.540 the
00:42:32.840 newspapers
00:42:33.260 can
00:42:33.560 add
00:42:33.720 their
00:42:33.860 own
00:42:34.100 spin
00:42:34.380 to
00:42:34.580 it.
00:42:34.880 But
00:42:35.060 the AP
00:42:35.420 in recent
00:42:35.820 years
00:42:36.000 has
00:42:36.160 become
00:42:36.420 so
00:42:36.840 radically
00:42:37.220 left-wing.
00:42:37.940 The AP
00:42:38.260 has
00:42:38.440 its own
00:42:38.700 style
00:42:39.100 book
00:42:39.400 which
00:42:39.780 is
00:42:39.920 supposed
00:42:40.100 to
00:42:40.320 set
00:42:40.620 the
00:42:40.920 norms
00:42:41.740 for
00:42:42.000 journalism
00:42:42.480 for
00:42:42.860 all
00:42:43.200 sorts
00:42:43.360 of
00:42:43.460 other
00:42:43.620 papers.
00:42:44.280 They
00:42:44.660 have
00:42:44.800 become
00:42:45.000 radically
00:42:45.660 pro-left-wing
00:42:46.460 and radically
00:42:46.860 pro-trans
00:42:47.400 in recent
00:42:47.760 years.
00:42:48.440 And
00:42:48.540 you see
00:42:48.800 this
00:42:48.960 headline
00:42:49.260 trans
00:42:49.880 minors
00:42:50.240 protected
00:42:50.760 from
00:42:51.480 parents
00:42:52.020 under
00:42:52.380 Washington
00:42:52.840 law.
00:42:55.060 Now
00:42:55.780 this
00:42:55.960 raises
00:42:56.320 two
00:42:56.860 questions.
00:42:59.140 Protected
00:42:59.860 from
00:43:01.300 what?
00:43:03.340 By
00:43:04.060 whom?
00:43:05.880 If the
00:43:06.780 AP,
00:43:07.180 if they
00:43:07.460 were good
00:43:07.820 journalists,
00:43:08.600 they would
00:43:08.940 tell you,
00:43:09.780 but they
00:43:10.160 don't.
00:43:11.620 Protected
00:43:12.240 from
00:43:13.020 what?
00:43:13.540 By
00:43:13.740 whom?
00:43:14.080 Well,
00:43:14.240 they're being
00:43:14.520 protected
00:43:14.920 from
00:43:15.680 their
00:43:18.460 biological
00:43:19.940 reality.
00:43:21.600 They're being
00:43:21.880 protected
00:43:22.220 from
00:43:22.940 the
00:43:23.480 traditional
00:43:23.900 understanding
00:43:24.560 of what
00:43:24.960 a man
00:43:25.240 is and
00:43:25.500 what
00:43:25.620 a woman
00:43:25.960 is.
00:43:26.180 They're
00:43:26.280 being
00:43:26.420 protected
00:43:26.680 from
00:43:26.960 the
00:43:27.160 truth.
00:43:28.060 They're
00:43:28.220 being
00:43:28.440 protected
00:43:28.880 from
00:43:29.540 behaviors
00:43:30.420 that will
00:43:31.140 allow
00:43:31.420 them to
00:43:31.840 flourish.
00:43:32.600 They're
00:43:32.800 being
00:43:33.020 protected
00:43:33.380 from
00:43:34.120 normative
00:43:35.380 behaviors
00:43:35.920 that will
00:43:36.720 very
00:43:38.080 likely
00:43:38.580 allay
00:43:39.260 the
00:43:39.740 mental
00:43:40.560 and
00:43:40.740 spiritual
00:43:40.960 problems
00:43:41.380 they're
00:43:41.620 suffering
00:43:42.000 from.
00:43:42.940 And
00:43:43.240 who
00:43:43.340 are
00:43:43.440 they
00:43:43.540 being
00:43:43.760 protected
00:43:44.200 by?
00:43:45.560 They're
00:43:46.040 being
00:43:46.240 protected
00:43:46.620 by
00:43:46.840 people
00:43:47.280 who
00:43:48.400 I'll
00:43:48.820 put it
00:43:49.040 as
00:43:49.220 gently
00:43:49.560 as
00:43:49.780 I
00:43:49.940 can
00:43:50.440 don't
00:43:53.440 have
00:43:53.860 all
00:43:54.040 their
00:43:54.200 marbles.
00:43:54.900 They're
00:43:55.160 being
00:43:55.360 protected
00:43:55.860 from
00:43:57.260 those
00:43:57.520 evil
00:43:57.780 awful
00:43:58.000 parents
00:43:58.320 by
00:43:58.600 people
00:43:59.100 who
00:43:59.940 are
00:44:00.160 seriously
00:44:01.020 messed
00:44:01.480 up.
00:44:02.260 They're
00:44:02.460 being
00:44:02.620 protected
00:44:03.040 by
00:44:03.940 people
00:44:04.400 like
00:44:05.200 this
00:44:05.680 putative
00:44:07.900 young
00:44:08.280 woman
00:44:08.700 looks a
00:44:09.540 little
00:44:09.660 masculine
00:44:10.140 to me
00:44:10.760 who
00:44:11.200 just
00:44:11.460 appeared
00:44:11.880 at

00:45:09.040 that sums
00:45:09.620 I'm just
00:45:09.980 taking notes
00:45:10.680 so that I
00:45:12.020 don't forget
00:45:12.460 any of those
00:45:12.880 important arguments
00:45:13.700 and by the way
00:45:14.600 that's as strong
00:45:18.100 an argument
00:45:18.560 for transgenderism
00:45:19.700 as I have
00:45:20.260 ever heard
00:45:20.860 don't forget
00:45:21.640 I was scheduled
00:45:22.800 to debate
00:45:23.420 perhaps the most
00:45:26.200 erudite
00:45:27.080 trans-identifying
00:45:28.820 defender of
00:45:29.500 transgenderism
00:45:30.260 in the entire
00:45:31.320 country
00:45:31.780 a man with
00:45:32.500 three Harvard
00:45:33.120 degrees
00:45:33.620 a man with
00:45:34.520 half a dozen
00:45:35.040 honorary doctorates
00:45:35.960 a man with
00:45:36.360 two dozen
00:45:36.940 academic publications
00:45:37.920 he knew my
00:45:40.240 views on
00:45:40.640 transgenderism
00:45:41.380 we had spoken
00:45:42.060 beforehand
00:45:42.560 he knew
00:45:43.280 exactly
00:45:43.940 what to expect
00:45:45.220 from my side
00:45:46.160 of the debate
00:45:46.520 the kind of
00:45:46.860 arguments that I
00:45:47.320 was going to
00:45:47.580 make
00:45:47.760 and so at the
00:45:48.400 last minute
00:45:48.880 he pulled out
00:45:49.560 why
00:45:49.920 because nobody
00:45:50.960 can defend
00:45:51.540 this stuff
00:45:52.100 Washington law
00:45:54.940 now
00:45:55.440 will protect
00:45:56.900 trans-miners
00:45:58.340 you know that
00:45:58.740 totally real
00:45:59.540 category of people
00:46:00.320 trans-miners
00:46:01.300 from their
00:46:03.440 parents
00:46:03.960 what is that
00:46:04.400 they're going to
00:46:04.720 protect kids
00:46:05.680 from their
00:46:06.440 parents
00:46:06.980 they're going
00:46:08.760 to say
00:46:09.840 that guy
00:46:11.020 who appeared
00:46:11.480 at the San
00:46:11.900 Francisco
00:46:12.260 Board of
00:46:12.640 Supervisors
00:46:13.080 meeting
00:46:13.260 he should
00:46:13.640 have much
00:46:14.060 more influence
00:46:14.620 over a
00:46:15.280 confused child
00:46:16.020 than his
00:46:16.700 awful evil
00:46:17.380 parents are
00:46:17.940 that's
00:46:18.320 that's the
00:46:19.500 neutral middle
00:46:20.200 ground in our
00:46:20.860 culture
00:46:21.260 that's it
00:46:22.660 we're going
00:46:22.920 to have to
00:46:23.260 be rather
00:46:24.020 subversive
00:46:24.640 and wise
00:46:25.040 as serpent
00:46:25.480 and innocent
00:46:26.000 as dubs
00:46:26.560 to overcome
00:46:27.960 that
00:46:28.260 today is
00:46:28.740 music Monday
00:46:29.320 baby
00:46:29.640 and we've
00:46:29.960 got a very
00:46:30.300 special
00:46:30.740 song today
00:46:32.260 I've been
00:46:32.860 told that
00:46:33.620 producer Danny
00:46:34.740 considers this
00:46:35.560 musical artist
00:46:36.300 something of a
00:46:37.020 muse
00:46:37.360 and so I'm
00:46:38.160 very excited
00:46:38.840 I don't know
00:46:39.300 anything about
00:46:39.900 the person
00:46:40.280 this is
00:46:40.880 Ethel Kane
00:46:41.960 the only
00:46:42.680 ether I ever
00:46:43.660 think of
00:46:44.800 is
00:46:45.600 Ethel Mertz
00:46:47.100 so that's the
00:46:48.540 image in my
00:46:49.060 head right now
00:46:49.520 we'll see if
00:46:49.980 the music
00:46:50.480 matches up
00:46:51.020 with that
00:46:51.340 the rest of
00:46:52.080 the show
00:46:52.320 continues now
