00:00:30.360 The Super Bowl occurred, I am told.

00:00:32.920 I don't know for certain, I actually attended a Super Bowl party,

00:00:36.520 and still, I did not catch even one second of the game,

00:00:40.680 which is fine by me, as I later discovered that the game began

00:00:44.520 with one of the most offensive public displays around these days,

00:00:48.480 the so-called Black National Anthem.

00:00:52.260 Grammy award-winning recording artist, Andra Day. 0.99

00:01:00.000 Shoot the bowers. 1.00

00:01:05.080 Lift every voice and sing 0.97

00:01:10.460 Till earth and heaven ring

00:01:17.860 Ring with the heart

00:01:22.340 Of liberty

00:01:31.380 All right, that's enough.

00:01:35.300 Now, my black friends do not consider that to be the National Anthem,

00:01:40.480 because my black friends are Americans and normal.

00:01:43.640 But that song has increasingly come to be seen as an alternate national anthem.

00:01:50.000 One of two national anthems, because we now have two nations

00:01:53.980 coexisting, for now, right on top of each other.

00:01:57.160 The split between these countries is more ideological than geographical or racial.

00:02:04.100 There are geographical aspects, blue states and red states.

00:02:07.280 There are racial aspects.

00:02:09.020 Most people vote, most black people rather, vote for Democrats.

00:02:11.660 But the split, fundamentally, is ideological.

00:02:16.500 Which is why the Super Bowl ads clashed with each other.

00:02:20.420 They were coded to speak to different audiences, different kinds of Americans,

00:02:25.660 two different nations.

00:02:27.460 Two different nations, which increasingly don't even speak the same language.

00:02:32.060 I'm Michael Knowles.

00:02:32.740 This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:02:41.660 Welcome back to the show.

00:02:55.040 Democrats are now openly calling to swap out Joe Biden from the top of the ticket.

00:03:00.280 We will get to that and why it is likely not going to happen.

00:03:04.220 First, though, I didn't watch the game at all while it was on.

00:03:08.200 I went back and watched some of the highlights.

00:03:09.900 I watched Travis Kelsey screaming at that poor elderly man.

00:03:13.080 I watched the Black National Anthem, or at least part of it.

00:03:16.240 And I watched some of the ads.

00:03:18.280 And there was one ad, above all, that was extremely controversial.

00:03:22.980 And it elicited the most anger, the most loathing, the most rending and gnashing of teeth.

00:03:32.020 It was an ad from a group called He Gets Us that was, well, I'll just let you see it.

00:03:41.700 You form your own conclusions.

00:03:42.820 Now, for those who cannot see it, I will describe it.

00:03:48.120 It's an image of a man washing another man's feet.

00:03:50.340 Then it's an image of a cop washing a black guy's feet in an alley. 0.99

00:03:54.700 Then of a normal-looking white lady washing another kind of crazy-haired white lady's feet. 0.99

00:03:59.560 Then of a white guy washing an Indian's feet. 0.97

00:04:02.060 Then of a lady washing a gal's feet outside an abortion clinic. 0.69

00:04:05.780 Then of a daughter and a mother washing feet.

00:04:09.400 And then some white guy and an Indian lady. 0.73

00:04:11.880 And then a white lady and a vaguely Hispanic lady. 1.00

00:04:15.760 And then of a white lady and a Muslim-looking lady washing her feet. 0.72

00:04:19.160 Then of a black lady washing a Hispanic lady's feet. 0.88

00:04:23.060 And then of a white guy and a black guy sitting on a porch, both washing their feet together. 0.92

00:04:27.860 And then of some kind of minister, maybe a priest, maybe just a Protestant minister washing the feet of an obviously gay guy. 0.90

00:04:34.580 Then it says, Jesus didn't teach hate, he washed feet.

00:04:39.400 He gets us, all of us, Jesus.

00:04:42.960 Hegetsus.com slash love your neighbor.

00:04:47.560 I think I am the only conservative Christian in America who did not totally despise this ad.

00:04:57.460 I know what you're thinking.

00:04:59.300 You see this ad, especially if you're a Christian, and you say, oh no, they're promoting hippie Jesus. 0.78

00:05:04.700 We all know this.

00:05:05.880 We talk to our liberal relatives or some lib in our school or in our workplace.

00:05:11.420 And they have never read the Bible.

00:05:13.700 They don't go to church.

00:05:14.820 They don't pray.

00:05:15.740 But they have this idea of hippie socialist Jesus in their heads. 0.99

00:05:19.320 And they think that you're a hypocrite and you don't know your own faith. 0.98

00:05:22.980 And they say, well, do you know, actually, Jesus was a big hippie and he would have voted for Democrats and he loves lib stuff. 1.00

00:05:31.720 And if you're a real Christian, you'll support killing babies and opening borders. 1.00

00:05:34.980 And I know, I know all of that. 0.94

00:05:36.780 And those people look at this ad and they say, this ad is vaguely sort of not directly, not explicitly, but kind of promoting that vision of Jesus and that's bad.

00:05:46.640 Okay, I didn't totally hate this ad because it's in woke ease, because it's written in this woke language, because the symbols and the signs and the whole language of the ad is for secular liberals.

00:06:02.840 The ad is not for you.

00:06:05.080 The ad is not for me.

00:06:06.540 The ad is not for conservatives or Christians or conservative Christians.

00:06:11.260 The ad is for secular liberals.

00:06:14.180 And there is a risk to an ad like this.

00:06:16.700 I didn't see anything in the ad that was explicitly heretical necessarily.

00:06:22.140 The closest it gets is that image of the abortion clinic and the woman washing the gal who maybe she's just had an abortion.

00:06:28.460 Maybe she's going to have an abortion. 1.00

00:06:29.760 She's washing her feet.

00:06:30.720 And there are the picketers in the background.

00:06:32.100 But the demonstrators outside the abortion clinic, they don't look angry.

00:06:37.420 They don't look cruel.

00:06:38.720 They're not exactly the liberal caricature of abortion protesters.

00:06:43.320 They look a little apathetic maybe.

00:06:45.240 They're not paying attention to the woman having her feet washed.

00:06:49.200 But they're not angry.

00:06:50.020 They're not screaming.

00:06:50.560 They don't have torches.

00:06:51.180 They're just sort of in the background there and says, Jesus didn't teach hate.

00:06:56.340 So the conclusion that a lot of Christians are drawing is, well, the ad is insinuating that if you protest abortion, you're hateful.

00:07:04.580 The ad is insinuating that if you object to LGBT LMNOP style stuff, that you're hateful.

00:07:10.480 I'm not certain that that's what the ad is saying.

00:07:13.120 I think the ad is reaching out to secular liberals who have an aversion to Christianity and to Jesus and to faith and is trying to speak their language.

00:07:25.080 Much more to talk about in just a moment.

00:07:27.620 First, though, go to policygenius.com slash Knowles.

00:08:37.700 Your orange-haired lesbian cousin who hates her dad is not going to read the Summa Theologiae set that you did not buy her.

00:08:46.940 Even if you did buy her one, she's not going to read it. 0.87

00:08:48.920 Okay, so if an ad can get some secular liberal, and that's who these ads are for, for even one second to even consider our Lord, to even maybe have some slight increase in affection for our Lord, I'm fine with it.

00:09:07.480 You know, Joey Carrion, when I made this point on Twitter, Joey Carrion responded to me, and he said, you know, 1 Corinthians chapter 9 is a good evidence of this.

00:09:20.020 St. Paul writes,

00:09:50.020 From what I can gather about this ad that he gets this thing, it's funded by right-wing evangelicals.

00:10:00.840 It's not totally clear, but it sort of seems like that, and probably those right-wing evangelicals have the same thought that St. Paul does.

00:10:07.100 I'm not saying it's a good idea.

00:10:08.300 This is not the kind of evangelism that necessarily is my style, but the idea behind it, the idea that you've got to speak people's language.

00:10:15.360 When they don't speak your language, you've got to speak their language. 0.99

00:10:17.780 When you want to go evangelize the Chinese, you've got to speak Mandarin. 1.00

00:10:20.600 You can't go and speak English, most of the, and maybe now you can, because the Chinese all learn English in school, because they have much better education systems than we do in most cases.

00:10:27.620 But when you want to go speak to someone, you've got to speak their language.

00:10:31.300 Okay, and even the abortion, the most controversial part of the ad, the abortion clinic, I think it serves a decent purpose.

00:10:39.320 Would I've changed the image a little?

00:10:40.400 Maybe I would have, but it serves a decent purpose.

00:10:42.640 A lot of people allow their own personal sins to be an obstacle to acknowledging the truth before them.

00:10:48.980 They'll know the truth.

00:10:49.880 They'll know it's wrong to murder babies.

00:10:51.160 But if they've had an abortion in the past, they'll say, well, if I admit this truth that I know, then I'm a murderer, and I can't bear that, and I can't live with that.

00:10:58.960 So you have to make clear to them.

00:11:01.120 You have to give them an off-ramp.

00:11:02.540 You have to make clear to them, no, no, no, there is redemption for you.

00:11:05.540 It's not all over.

00:11:07.700 You actually, but in order to have that redemption, you have to acknowledge the truth.

00:11:13.060 And the truth is that abortion is murdering a baby.

00:11:16.840 A lot of people do this, especially when it comes to sexual sins, because sex is so close to our nature.

00:11:23.000 They'll do it.

00:11:23.540 You've got to give them an off-ramp. 1.00

00:11:24.700 You have to, it's not to say we excuse your behavior, go kill more babies, go do more weird sex stuff. 0.99

00:11:29.840 But it is to say, this isn't the end of your life. 1.00

00:11:31.980 It's all right.

00:11:32.800 It's okay.

00:11:33.260 You've been doing bad stuff.

00:11:34.540 Just cut it out.

00:11:35.680 Just cut it out, and you'll be okay.

00:11:37.640 Acknowledge the truth.

00:11:38.980 Follow the truth.

00:11:40.560 Look, I'm not saying it's the greatest ad ever.

00:11:42.980 It certainly is not.

00:11:43.660 If it's a starting place, though, for even one lost lib to turn toward the truth and toward God, I'm okay with it.

00:11:51.900 Now, there was a better religious ad, which was the Hallow ad, the great Hallow app, which sponsors this show.

00:11:57.460 Take it away.

00:12:01.540 God, we take this moment just to give you thanks.

00:12:04.460 We thank you for this time to come together as a family, as friends, and as a country.

00:12:14.020 Help us, Lord, especially this Lent, to grow closer to you.

00:12:18.440 Amen.

00:12:19.440 Join us in prayer this Lent on Hallow.

00:12:22.360 Stay prayed up.

00:12:23.140 Love that ad.

00:12:28.840 I don't have very much to say about it other than it was really great.

00:12:31.240 And look, that's the next step. 0.91

00:12:34.040 I don't know that that ad is going to speak directly to your orange-haired lesbian cousin who hates her father, 0.97

00:12:40.380 who is, you know, getting all sort of like satanic tattoos on her or whatever. 1.00

00:12:44.500 Probably you need a different approach for that person.

00:12:46.400 But the person who's already vaguely open to God, that ad is going to speak to you.

00:12:50.920 And I just think you've got to try to get everybody, you know, to quote St. Paul,

00:12:57.220 to the Jew, become a Jew. 0.90

00:12:58.340 To those under the law, be under the law.

00:13:00.380 To those without the law, be without the law. 1.00

00:13:02.060 To the weak, become weak.

00:13:03.520 Be all things to all men for the gospel's sake.

00:13:06.700 That's fine by me.

00:13:07.680 Now, there was another ad that really did not have very much to do with religion.

00:13:11.940 That came from President Trump, and it targeted not Joe Biden, but Nikki Haley.

00:13:19.140 Prove the fact that Donald Trump says I want to cut Social Security or raise the age.

00:13:23.080 I've never said that.

00:13:24.900 There's the red challenge hat.

00:13:26.800 Trump's challenging Haley's statement.

00:13:30.080 Haley's claim she didn't call for raising the age of Social Security is under review.

00:13:35.560 Tony, here's exactly what the official is looking at.

00:13:38.980 Social Security, Medicare, how would you manage the entitlements?

00:13:43.000 We say the rules have changed.

00:13:44.460 What we do know is 65 is way too low, and we need to increase that.

00:13:48.700 65 is way too low, and we need to increase that.

00:13:52.140 Let's take a look at another angle.

00:13:54.300 We change retirement age to reflect life expectancy.

00:13:57.400 I think the call is pretty clear.

00:13:59.320 But let's go down to the field and see what official Gene Tooney has to say.

00:14:03.220 After review, Nikki Haley clearly said she plans to change the rules and raise the age of Social Security.

00:14:08.980 This results in cutting benefits for 82% of America.

00:14:13.220 Bob, that was a rookie mistake by Haley.

00:14:16.420 I'm Donald J. Trump, and I approve this message.

00:14:20.220 The interesting thing about this ad is that it's against Nikki Haley.

00:14:24.680 Trump is destroying Nikki Haley in all of the polls.

00:14:27.360 Why is he going after her in a Super Bowl ad?

00:14:29.960 These ads are very expensive.

00:14:31.580 One, because anything can happen in politics, especially when the liberal establishment is prosecuting you, trying to throw you in prison.

00:14:36.840 I don't know. 0.97

00:14:37.220 They might try to kill him at some point.

00:14:39.520 He wants to make sure there's no even semi-viable challenge to him. 0.65

00:14:43.280 So this was the kill shot at Nikki Haley. 0.89

00:14:44.920 And the subject of the kill shot is what's really interesting here.

00:14:50.080 He went after Nikki Haley for trying to do something that 10 years ago, many self-styled conservatives were all for, namely reforming entitlements. 0.99

00:14:58.520 And Trump, going back to 2016, 2015, even earlier, is opposed to cutting entitlements.

00:15:07.320 He says, absolutely not.

00:15:09.060 But you remember, back in the day, the Tea Party, the Paul Ryan types, broadly the conservative movement was all for entitlement reform.

00:15:16.620 And the argument for it was, we need to get our fiscal house in order before we can deal with the social problems. 0.92

00:15:23.300 Some people even called for a social truce.

00:15:25.600 Let's have a truce.

00:15:27.220 Let's put a pause on the social fights so we can stop the new red menace, which is consisting of ink. 1.00

00:15:32.980 And at the time, it sounded like an okay idea.

00:15:35.480 The problem was, we learned that you can't actually fix the fiscal problems without fixing the cultural problem.

00:15:43.320 So Trump comes on the scene, and he flips it, and he says, no, that's never going to work.

00:15:48.640 Man is not a purely or primarily economic being.

00:15:52.760 We're social creatures.

00:15:54.260 And so until you fix the border, until you fix the family, until you fix national sovereignty, until you fix basic social issues, you're simply not going to fix the fiscal problems.

00:16:06.340 And so he says, no, we're going to have a fiscal truce until we fix the social problems.

00:16:11.900 It's a flipping of the politics of 10 years ago.

00:16:15.300 And Trump's view is now more persuasive.

00:16:18.500 Maybe it was always more persuasive.

00:16:20.500 Maybe that's why the Tea Party, unfortunately, and the Paul Ryan types did not score big political wins.

00:16:26.380 Maybe if there is a realignment in the Republican Party, maybe this is why.

00:16:31.160 Maybe that's the fundamental flip.

00:16:33.700 And maybe that's why Trump is dominating right now.

00:16:36.200 And the polls, at least one of the big reasons for it.

00:16:38.860 There are plenty of reasons to attack Trump, and people will do it for all sorts of reasons. 0.95

00:16:44.640 But one of the dumbest arguments, I think, is that Trump doesn't have a clear kind of conservatism. 0.99

00:16:52.380 You know, Trump is ideologically incoherent. 0.99

00:16:56.360 Trump is, he's just shooting from the hip. 0.91

00:16:58.380 He's just purely a narcissist.

00:17:00.300 I don't think so, actually.

00:17:01.840 I think going back to the 80s, Trump called for tariffs when the rest of the GOP was calling for free trade.

00:17:07.260 I think Trump has been an immigration restrictionist for much, much longer than the GOP has.

00:17:13.220 The GOP, which effectively called for open borders, either through legal mechanisms, vastly expanding legal immigration, or by just ignoring illegal immigration, for many, many years.

00:17:24.100 Trump has a, at least vaguely coherent kind of conservatism.

00:17:29.500 More coherent than a lot of professional politicians.

00:17:32.540 And it's an older kind of conservatism.

00:17:34.360 It's not, it's not neoconservatism.

00:17:37.040 It's an older kind that typified the old right before the late 20th century.

00:17:42.400 And that's appealing to a lot of people.

00:17:44.000 That creates a new political coalition.

00:17:46.820 Speaking of the presidential race, Democrats have had it with Joe Biden.

00:17:50.700 That press conference, I think, was the nail in the coffin.

00:17:52.760 They saw the special counsel report that Joe Biden is an amiable old man who's not fit to stand trial because he's so senile.

00:18:01.860 And then they saw Vladimir Putin come out and give a very impressive interview with Tucker Carlson.

00:18:06.720 And then they saw Biden try to one-up that interview with Tucker by going out and giving this rambling press conference where he couldn't remember what Mexico and Egypt are.

00:18:16.200 Where he flipped those two countries and he couldn't remember seemingly his own name.

00:18:21.300 So now you got Bill Maher, very prominent liberal, saying, got to get Biden out of there.

00:18:27.260 He did not run on a promise not to run again.

00:18:29.960 But he did run on a big hint.

00:18:31.820 Yeah.

00:18:32.080 He said, I see myself as a bridge.

00:18:34.480 Right.

00:18:34.840 That's collapsing.

00:18:36.140 Yeah.

00:18:37.140 No.

00:18:37.580 But I see myself as a bridge.

00:18:40.840 I read that as one term.

00:18:43.440 Uh-huh.

00:18:43.940 OK.

00:18:44.800 And I guess the question now is, is it too late?

00:18:47.920 And I don't think it is because I still think you can do it at the convention.

00:18:52.700 I don't. 0.92

00:18:53.180 And people have said to me, oh, that's ridiculous. 0.91

00:18:55.880 They'll look like they'll look like nothing. 0.93

00:18:57.440 Nobody gives a what you do at the convention.

00:18:59.940 They'd be thrilled if they did it the day before the election.

00:19:03.020 So 86% of Americans don't think Joe Biden is up for the job.

00:19:07.860 So while I generally believe it looks terrible for a party to swap out its nominee or its running mate, for that matter, it just shows weakness.

00:19:15.520 At this point, Biden and the Democrats are not fooling anyone.

00:19:19.240 The Democrats realize they are in a very bad situation.

00:19:22.480 Even if they rig all the votes in all the different states, it's still going to be tough.

00:19:26.160 I mean, the vast majority of Americans don't think this guy's up for the job.

00:19:29.680 It's not just Bill Maher and some of the more liberal, libertarian comedians who are throwing potshots at Biden.

00:19:36.000 It's CNN, too.

00:19:37.360 This report from the special counsel includes photos.

00:19:40.680 Those photos include shots of a box just sitting in President Biden's Delaware garage.

00:19:46.920 The special counsel described it as a badly damaged box sitting amid household detritus.

00:19:52.360 So there was some material that was in cabinets locked or lockable, as the president said.

00:19:57.520 But all of it is certainly not.

00:19:59.060 And that open, unsealed, damaged box included, according to the special counsel, highly sensitive, top-secret material about the war in Afghanistan.

00:20:06.140 That claim that he didn't have any material that was quote-unquote high classified is also not true, John.

00:20:11.640 The special counsel's report says that the president possessed multiple highly classified documents that were indeed marked as being highly classified documents,

00:20:19.580 including some marked as top-secret slash SCI, sensitive compartmented information.

00:20:25.400 That is a very high level of classification.

00:20:27.820 So he's entitled to say he didn't do it.

00:20:29.480 He can defend himself.

00:20:30.320 But he also said the special counsel didn't say that he did share that classified info with the ghostwriter.

00:20:35.340 Except, John, the special counsel did say that explicitly.

00:20:38.800 This goes on for four minutes, okay? 0.96

00:20:41.620 That is a brief clip of this diatribe on CNN from a reporter to another big lib on CNN just going off about how Joe Biden is a liar 0.94

00:20:51.120 or just doesn't remember anything and can't function and can't form a coherent sentence. 0.99

00:20:56.620 Devastating.

00:20:57.220 That's CNN.

00:20:57.860 That's the Clinton News Network, okay?

00:20:59.500 That is the state media of the liberal establishment.

00:21:03.060 They want him gone.

00:21:04.080 And you know what this tells me, what all of this tells me, is that Joe Biden really is the president.

00:21:11.520 Much more to say in one second.

00:21:13.060 First, though, head over to woketearswater.com.

00:21:17.840 It seems like wokeism is everywhere.

00:21:21.020 It's in the air we breathe.

00:21:22.060 It's even in the water we drink.

00:21:23.560 That is why there is a new hydration brand with a mission to save America from the brave new woke world one sip at a time.

00:21:29.880 Woke Tears Bottled Water is an American brand that is making hydration great again.

00:21:34.960 Woke Tears Water is a brand of drinking water bottled right here in the United States by people who know what a woman is. 1.00

00:22:00.180 I love, of course, that Woke Tears Water is clearly inspired by the greatest drinking vessel ever made by man.

00:22:08.300 Woke Tears Water is a great conversation starter.

00:22:11.720 It's a great thing to pass out to your liberal cousins when they come over for Thanksgiving.

00:22:16.080 Woke Tears Water.com.

00:22:19.020 There's a theory.

00:22:20.200 You hear it in right-wing circles.

00:22:22.120 Joe Biden's not really the president.

00:22:23.660 Who's really calling the shots?

00:22:25.500 I don't know.

00:22:26.320 I'm sure he's neglecting whole swaths of the government.

00:22:30.000 But when he does assert something, I think he gets it.

00:22:34.820 I think Joe Biden, when he wants to be, is actually the president.

00:22:38.960 If Joe Biden were not the president, he would not have been permitted to give that press conference.

00:22:45.500 If Joe Biden were not the president, Democrats would have swapped him out long ago.

00:22:51.540 This tells me two things.

00:22:54.020 One, Democrats really want Joe Biden off this ticket.

00:22:59.900 Prominent Democrats, like CNN Democrats.

00:23:02.760 And two, Joe Biden's the president and he doesn't want to go.

00:23:08.060 And you're going to have to drag that guy out kicking and screaming or stiff as a board.

00:23:11.880 Now, the White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, was asked about Biden's memory lapses, you know, speaking in Spanish to the president of Egypt or whatever it was that he did.

00:23:23.440 And the response from the White House is nothing.

00:23:28.640 How can he be trusted with the nuclear codes if I get that you're saying that nobody in the building would say that he's got an issue with his memory?

00:23:38.940 But just a little part of what we get to see.

00:23:42.920 He's made mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake on camera this week.

00:23:48.320 So I want to be very clear here.

00:23:50.260 The reality is that report, that part of the report does not live in reality.

00:23:58.160 It just doesn't.

00:23:58.840 So the special counsel is lying about the president's memory.

00:24:01.560 It was gratuitous.

00:24:03.460 You heard from Ian Sams, my colleague.

00:24:07.100 It is unacceptable and it does not live in reality.

00:24:10.680 That is just the facts.

00:24:12.920 Let me translate that.

00:24:14.100 You know, we opened the show today talking about how the left and the right speak different languages here.

00:24:19.220 So what Corrine Jean-Pierre just said in normal language was, la, la, la, la, la, la.

00:24:26.400 I can't hear you, Peter Doocy.

00:24:27.980 La, la, la, la, la, la.

00:24:28.900 What?

00:24:29.140 No, I go.

00:24:29.720 Are you talking?

00:24:30.420 I can't even hear you.

00:24:31.220 La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la.

00:24:32.980 That was the answer.

00:24:35.000 Hey, hey, White House press secretary.

00:24:38.040 You know, the special counsel says that the guy can't remember anything and he's not fit to stand trial.

00:24:41.700 And then Biden was just meandering and wandering about during that press conference and couldn't remember his own name and didn't know what Egypt and Mexico are.

00:24:48.940 What do you say to that?

00:24:49.860 Did you say something, Peter?

00:24:54.140 I couldn't hear you.

00:24:54.800 Sorry, I couldn't hear you.

00:24:55.640 La, la, la, la, la.

00:24:56.240 That's the best they've got.

00:24:57.340 I can't even fault Corrine Jean-Pierre there.

00:24:59.520 What's she supposed to say?

00:25:01.000 What's she supposed to say?

00:25:01.780 Everyone, every single person around the president is admitted, including CNN, including the special counsel, including everyone, including his own staff members undercover.

00:25:12.240 Remember that video, the video that came out last week of James O'Keefe, right wing journalist, going on a fake gay date with some top White House official, the cybersecurity official, and the cybersecurity official is admitting, yeah, we'd like to swap Joe Biden out.

00:25:25.780 It's probably not going to happen, but that guy is old, man.

00:25:27.740 He's in decline.

00:25:28.460 It's pretty bad.

00:25:29.100 So everybody around Joe Biden is admitting on camera or in writing that this guy is way past his sell by date.

00:25:39.220 And so she has got an impossible job.

00:25:42.600 The only thing she can do is ignore it.

00:25:44.180 But can the White House ignore reality forever?

00:25:46.660 Can the White House ignore reality at the convention?

00:25:49.640 The White House can't ignore reality at the ballot box unless they conduct the greatest vote rigging operation in history, unless they import Saddam Hussein's election officials, then reality might start to interfere with their fantasies.

00:26:04.880 They're going to have to make some hard choices.

00:26:06.360 Now, speaking of Black women, talking about Kareem Jean-Pierre, not Joe Biden.

00:26:11.940 Speaking of Black women, Mo Neek just recently complained on some random podcast that she would be much more famous if she were a White woman. 1.00

00:26:23.320 If I was a White woman, do you know what my name would be?

00:26:27.020 Wealthy.

00:26:28.060 Melissa McCarthy.

00:26:32.460 Oh, my goodness.

00:26:33.360 If I was a White woman, my name would be Melissa McCarthy.

00:26:36.800 Same track record.

00:26:39.200 Five-year sitcom and syndication.

00:26:41.700 Same track record.

00:26:42.820 The opportunities are not the same.

00:26:45.680 Okay, she goes on and complains about how she's not as famous as she would be otherwise. 0.99

00:26:50.000 Many of you probably have never heard of Mo Neek.

00:26:51.740 I vaguely remember her name from sitcoms some years ago.

00:26:55.180 And so she's complaining.

00:26:59.180 She's saying, oh, it's pity me. 0.62

00:27:01.820 You know, I'm Black.

00:27:03.220 If I were White, I'd have so much more privilege.

00:27:05.240 I'm wealthy and I'm famous, but I'd be wealthier and more famous if I were White. 0.99

00:27:10.000 I think she's basically half right.

00:27:13.940 I know a lot of conservatives are going to jump down her throat here and say, oh, you're playing the race car and you're being a victim and you're not really a victim.

00:27:19.560 But she's probably right.

00:27:23.740 If she were White, she would appeal to the culture of more people, right? 0.99

00:27:30.960 Her comedy has been specifically targeted at Black culture and Black people make up something like 12% to 14% of the United States.

00:27:38.780 America was a White country. 0.98

00:27:41.140 I guess we're not exactly a White country anymore. 0.51

00:27:43.260 We're still a majority White, though.

00:27:44.480 It's still 60% White.

00:27:45.620 And for the vast majority of America's history, it was almost 90% White. 0.68

00:27:50.460 So, yeah, that's true.

00:27:52.360 If you appeal to a minority population, you're going to be less famous than if you appealed to the majority of the population.

00:28:00.240 That's true.

00:28:01.960 That's obviously true.

00:28:03.160 Now, it's not clear that she would be Melissa McCarthy because the competition pool is far greater when you're trying to appeal to the majority. 0.92

00:28:10.300 So maybe if she were White, Melissa McCarthy would just have her career and no one would have ever heard of Monique. 1.00

00:28:16.080 There are some advantages to appealing to a niche minority audience.

00:28:18.860 But I think her concern is legitimate.

00:28:23.760 She's saying there is this distinct culture within America that I appeal to, but the culture that I appeal to and the majority culture are not synonymous.

00:28:33.400 And so that is just naturally restricting my growth potential.

00:28:40.060 Yeah, that's true.

00:28:42.060 That's true.

00:28:43.760 Culture really does matter.

00:28:45.640 And there is some intersection with culture and race.

00:28:49.280 It's not exclusive, obviously.

00:28:51.420 But, yeah, she's right about that.

00:28:53.700 That's true.

00:28:54.300 And this is also why calls to radically change the demographics of the country will inevitably affect national culture.

00:29:03.500 Now, when we're talking about changing the demographics of the country, we're actually not really talking about black and white anymore.

00:29:07.320 We're talking about importing a lot of Hispanics into the country through an open border. 0.86

00:29:11.260 But that will change the demography of the culture.

00:29:14.460 And the reason that the – or the demography of the nation, rather.

00:29:18.760 The reason that the liberals are doing it is not because they want different sitcoms on the air, obviously.

00:29:22.400 The reason the liberals are doing it is because they think that it will give them a permanent electoral advantage.

00:29:26.380 And if you look at party affiliation and voting statistics, they might be right about that.

00:29:31.820 I know Republicans have long wished that Hispanics are conservatives.

00:29:35.840 They just don't know it yet.

00:29:37.420 Many Hispanics are conservative.

00:29:39.040 I got a lot of Hispanic friends that are extremely right-wing.

00:29:41.740 And certain Hispanic groups are more conservative than others.

00:29:43.880 The Cubans are much more conservative than the Hondurans, broadly.

00:29:49.740 But the numbers over the last several decades seem to bear out that the Democrats are right.

00:29:57.420 That's why they're doing it.

00:29:59.040 That is real.

00:29:59.700 When Monique complains about it, I don't think anyone's yet connected Monique to the permanent and changing electoral landscape of the United States. 0.99

00:30:08.420 But that's what it's about.

00:30:11.280 Yeah, it's true.

00:30:12.900 Culture's different.

00:30:13.640 If you want to have much more cultural influence and impact, you're going to want to have access to the majority of that culture.

00:30:23.940 So you've got to change majorities and minorities. 0.97

00:30:26.900 Now, speaking of discrimination, Facebook and Instagram have just announced that they will no longer recommend political content on their social media platforms.

00:30:36.880 Mark Zuckerberg said this.

00:30:39.220 And I wonder why it is.

00:30:41.820 I wonder why it is.

00:30:42.840 Is it just because he wants to be out of politics?

00:30:45.000 I don't think Mark Zuckerberg wants to be out of politics.

00:30:47.100 I think Mark Zuckerberg spent a lot of money last cycle controlling the ballot drop boxes in a lot of counties in this country.

00:30:56.220 Some have said that that was the pivotal shift in the election that gave the election to Joe Biden.

00:31:03.180 There are lots of really good reports on this about how the Zuckerberg-funded left-wing groups that controlled the ballot drop boxes, in some cases illegally because they placed them too far from the county clerk offices, that those were the determining factor of the election.

00:31:18.920 Zuckerberg said he was willing to spend any amount of money to get the mean orange man out of office.

00:31:23.220 So now he's all of a sudden, he's neutral?

00:31:25.840 No.

00:31:26.900 No, no.

00:31:28.940 Facebook and Instagram deciding not to recommend political content, that's not neutral.

00:31:32.880 That is a major advantage for liberals because conservatives tend to do much, much better on social media because the liberals control the establishment media.

00:31:41.840 So conservatives need to have some outlet.

00:31:44.580 There's still a hunger for conservative content.

00:31:46.920 So when we create new companies like the Daily Wire, we do very, very well.

00:31:52.020 Daily Wire has always done very, very well on Facebook.

00:31:54.060 It's not because Facebook's helping us out.

00:31:55.880 It's because there is a demand for our kind of content that you can't get on NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, Netflix, all the other platforms.

00:32:04.060 So where there's a little bit more freedom to state one's opinion, we're going to do a lot better.

00:32:08.760 That's why conservatives are doing so well on X right now.

00:32:12.460 So when Zuckerberg says, okay, we're not going to recommend political content.

00:32:15.540 Okay, your top political content, company by company, it's still majority liberal because there's just so much more money and firepower behind the liberals.

00:32:23.760 But you look at Daily Wire versus New York Times in isolation, Daily Wire does a lot better with a much smaller budget and a much smaller staff.

00:32:32.300 So when he says we're not going to recommend political content anymore, that disproportionately hurts conservatives.

00:32:37.020 Also, the other reason that it's so brutal is the news right now is very bad for liberals.

00:32:42.860 If the news cycle were really good for liberals and really good for Joe Biden, then not recommending political content might hurt him because people aren't going to hear all the great news that's coming out of the White House.

00:32:52.240 But the news coming out of the White House is terrible.

00:32:54.460 Joe Biden can barely speak.

00:32:56.500 The special counsel thinks he's so senile he's not fit to stand trial.

00:32:59.940 We're on the brink of World War III in two separate places.

00:33:02.360 We've got an invasion at the southern border.

00:33:04.100 Millions of foreign nationals pouring over into our country.

00:33:06.660 We've got an economy that's teetering that has some signs that it's not in total collapse.

00:33:13.080 And yet the underlying fundamentals of the economy seem to be terrible.

00:33:16.460 Yeah, it's not good, man.

00:33:17.760 All the news is really bad.

00:33:19.460 So when you say, okay, we're not going to recommend any political news anymore.

00:33:22.220 Yeah, well, when the news is terrible for the White House, then that's a major gift to the White House.

00:33:27.040 Which, of course, we should expect because these social media platforms, I guess with the exception of Elon Musk and X, are in the tank for Democrats.

00:33:36.580 And you can rely on the fact that whatever they do is going to benefit Democrats.

00:33:42.220 I wouldn't look at what they do and say, okay, well, is this good for us or bad for us?

00:33:45.800 Just no, it's always going to be bad for conservatives.

00:33:48.780 So go the opposite direction and say, okay, well, whatever they've done, if I want to learn something about the underlying political reality, just look at what they've done.

00:33:56.600 Know that that is positive for Democrats and bad for Republicans.

00:33:59.520 And then come to some conclusions about the political reality.

00:34:02.180 Now, speaking of this presidential cycle, President Trump has just come out and responded to the special counsel's refusal to prosecute Joe Biden.

00:34:10.740 And he said, hold on, Joe Biden has been discovered to have done a much more egregious version of the thing that I'm being prosecuted for.

00:34:19.300 Joe Biden, when he was vice president, did not have the ultimate ability to declassify documents.

00:34:24.440 Joe Biden had these documents scattered everywhere, including in front of a crackhead in his own home.

00:34:28.580 Joe Biden had no idea really where a lot of these documents were by Joe Biden's own admission.

00:34:32.480 So he did a much more egregious version of the crime that Trump is going to wear an orange jumpsuit for.

00:34:38.660 And Trump says, this is selective prosecution.

00:34:43.040 If Biden is not going to be charged, he said, that's up to them.

00:34:48.620 You know, look, if he's not going to be charged, that's up to them.

00:34:52.340 But then I should not be charged.

00:34:59.240 This is nothing more than selective persecution of Biden's political opponent, me.

00:35:07.420 And I don't know that it's Biden because I don't think he knows he's alive.

00:35:12.760 Obviously true.

00:35:14.020 Notice Trump doesn't say prosecution there.

00:35:15.880 He says persecution.

00:35:16.640 Maybe he confused the words, but the word that Trump used, whether it was intentional or unintentional, is more apt.

00:35:23.180 It's a persecution.

00:35:25.000 Because it's actually not just the prosecutions.

00:35:27.860 They've been doing this to Trump since 2015, when the Obama administration teamed up with the Democrats in the Hillary campaign,

00:35:35.500 using the FBI and the DOJ to spy on Trump's campaign based on totally fraudulent evidence,

00:35:40.960 than to undermine his administration with the special counsel and the Robert Mueller investigation.

00:35:46.620 Remember, it's Mueller time.

00:35:47.800 We're going to get Trump. 0.99

00:35:48.860 Trump, his buddies with Putin, or Putin videotaped him doing weird sex stuff in Moscow, all this nonsense. 0.87

00:35:54.240 There was no evidence for any of it, but they use it to undermine his administration.

00:35:57.660 Then that doesn't work.

00:35:58.620 So they impeach him for colluding with the Ukrainians. 0.98

00:36:03.020 Then after they couldn't get him on colluding with the Russians, they get him for colluding with the Ukrainians. 0.54

00:36:08.280 That doesn't work.

00:36:09.240 And then they get him for being an insurrectionist.

00:36:11.060 That doesn't work.

00:36:11.880 Now they're getting him because he allegedly met a gossip columnist in New York in the 90s at Bergdorf Goodman.

00:36:17.620 Or what?

00:36:18.300 Or he had some documents like every other president had.

00:36:21.220 Or vice president, as we're learning with Joe Biden.

00:36:23.120 Or he what?

00:36:24.120 Or he called the Secretary of State of Georgia and said, hey, stop stealing the election.

00:36:28.500 Or he what?

00:36:30.060 Or what?

00:36:32.020 Nothing.

00:36:32.760 They got nothing.

00:36:33.420 But it's a persecution because they will do anything to get rid of him.

00:36:39.980 Now mark the calendars, folks.

00:36:42.600 For the epic return of Backstage.

00:36:45.420 After almost a year away filming the Pendragon cycle, the God King Jeremy Boring is back and is joined by Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, Candace Owens, Andrew Klavan, and yours truly.

00:36:55.600 Join us tomorrow at 7 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Central as we go behind the scenes and beyond the headlines.

00:37:01.140 Watch the show live exclusively on Daily Wire Plus Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Central.

00:37:06.340 You do not want to miss this.

00:37:08.480 Our favorite comment yesterday is from Charles Bryson, 7443, who says, climbing a stadium is a felony.

00:37:14.960 Climbing a wall is citizenship.

00:37:16.760 Yes, isn't that so strange?

00:37:17.740 So the pro-life Spider-Man, Mason Deschamps, just climbs this building.

00:37:23.460 He's climbed many buildings.

00:37:24.240 He climbs it to raise money for a homeless pregnant woman and bring attention to the pro-life cause.

00:37:28.940 And they arrest him and say that he committed all these felonies.

00:37:33.000 But if you climb a wall as an economic migrant with the help of the drug cartels, the most psycho killers on planet Earth, that's an act of love.

00:37:44.520 That's strange.

00:37:45.640 An act of vandalism, an act of, hmm, doesn't quite add up to me, does it?

00:37:48.520 Does it to you?

00:37:50.640 Speaking of dubious legal decisions, this is my favorite story.

00:37:54.980 I can't believe it took this long.

00:37:57.040 I wanted to get to it on Friday.

00:37:58.660 We've had to wait to get to it now.

00:38:01.500 The Hawaiian Supreme Court has just ruled that there is something which overrules the U.S. Constitution.

00:38:11.320 Typically, you know, we have local laws.

00:38:13.760 There's laws at the township level.

00:38:16.120 And those would be overruled, say, by laws at the county level.

00:38:19.860 Those might be overruled by laws at the state level.

00:38:22.220 And state laws can be overruled by laws at the federal level.

00:38:25.820 And ultimately, what reigns supreme in the United States is the U.S. Constitution, which overrules all those laws.

00:38:36.120 Except, according to the Hawaiian Supreme Court, for one thing.

00:38:40.860 The one thing that overrules the U.S. Constitution is the spirit of aloha.

00:38:46.800 There was a case in Hawaii over whether or not Hawaiians have Second Amendment rights.

00:38:53.480 And they do.

00:38:54.720 There have been a number of court cases on this front.

00:38:58.220 But there was recently one, the New York Rifle and Pistol Association case, which reminded our liberal states that Americans do, in fact, have a Second Amendment right.

00:39:08.480 But the Hawaiian court just says, no, no.

00:39:12.820 Whatever the Supreme Court ruled, it doesn't matter.

00:39:15.080 Because, quote, in Hawaii, the aloha spirit inspires constitutional interpretation.

00:39:20.100 When this court exercises power on behalf of the people and in fulfillment of our responsibilities, obligations, and service to the people, we may contemplate and reside with the life force and give consideration to the aloha spirit.

00:39:32.180 The spirit of aloha clashes with a federally mandated lifestyle that lets citizens walk around with deadly weapons during day-to-day activities.

00:39:44.380 There is a profound truth to this decision, to the spirit of aloha.

00:39:50.100 Whatever that means.

00:39:51.880 And that is, a constitution is only as good as the people who will live by and enforce it.

00:40:01.260 Sometimes I fear the right-wingers, we put a little too much trust in our constitution.

00:40:08.040 The constitution is a piece of parchment with ink on it.

00:40:12.140 It is dead.

00:40:13.320 To quote Antonin Scalia, it is a dead, it's not a living document.

00:40:16.060 It's a dead document.

00:40:17.060 It's dead, okay?

00:40:17.920 And to go even further than what Justice Scalia meant by that.

00:40:23.860 The constitution is not going to ride in on a white horse and save you.

00:40:27.880 The bill of rights is not going to come in out of the sky and stop the bad guys from taking away your rights.

00:40:34.080 Constitutions and laws are only as good as the people who live by and enforce them.

00:40:42.680 What really matters is the lowercase c constitution.

00:40:46.700 How people actually live.

00:40:48.420 How our society is actually set up.

00:40:49.980 And to the Hawaiian Supreme Court's credit, they're recognizing that the spirit of aloha, man, is a much more powerful force than the opinion of nine lawyers on the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.

00:41:05.820 I was talking with Drew Clavin about a related matter on Friday.

00:41:10.960 We were talking about the famous John Adams quote.

00:41:13.060 The constitution is built for a moral and religious people, and it's not fit for the government of any other kind of people. 0.98

00:41:18.780 And conservatives love quoting this because it's proof that America is a religious country.

00:41:24.400 We're a Christian country founded on a belief in God.

00:41:27.260 And those atheists and those liberals and those secularists, they want to pretend that we weren't.

00:41:31.160 But by golly, there it is.

00:41:32.300 There's John Adams saying that we are.

00:41:35.600 That's not really what he's saying, right?

00:41:37.700 I mean, what he's saying is that the constitution exists for a moral and religious people.

00:41:46.520 It will work for a moral and religious people.

00:41:48.500 But it's not going to make the people moral and religious.

00:41:51.980 The people have to be moral and religious.

00:41:53.820 That is a prerequisite to having a country that is governed according to our constitution.

00:41:59.620 The constitution will not magically do that for you.

00:42:03.220 So if the people ceases to be moral and religious, as increasingly I suspect we have, then the constitution is not going to work.

00:42:12.420 Constitution and a buck 50 will get you a cup of coffee before Joe Biden, after Joe Biden inflation.

00:42:17.240 Then you're going to need like 450 to get that same cup of coffee.

00:42:19.780 This is why I'm open to annoying commercials like the He Gets Us thing, which presents, or at least implies, it doesn't explicitly give it to you, but it kind of implies hippie Jesus.

00:42:31.860 And yeah, that idea drives me crazy.

00:42:33.680 But we're in a country where religion is just collapsing all around us.

00:42:36.700 And so anything that might even somewhat get a secular lib to even consider God.

00:42:41.020 That's not the end.

00:42:42.140 Obviously, they can't just stop there.

00:42:43.180 But it's just, there's so much further that they've got to go.

00:42:46.740 But if we don't even have that, there's no hope.

00:42:49.360 Shred your constitution.

00:42:50.540 Let the libs burn the constitution like they wanted to do for 50 years. 1.00

00:42:53.540 Because it's not going to get you anywhere.

00:42:57.040 Now, there is an example of countries turning this kind of thing around in precisely this way.

00:43:02.660 With a religious revival that is undertaken not merely from the level of culture and individuals making choices and blah, blah, blah, but it's from the political level.

00:43:12.220 It is the political power channeling the desires of the people.

00:43:19.280 So it's not totally in opposition to the people, but also enforcing a particular religious view.

00:43:26.040 And that would be probably the man I'm going to endorse for president of America in 2024.

00:43:31.520 That would be the leader of El Salvador, the recently reelected leader, reelected with 85% of the vote, Naib Bukele, who in his acceptance speech, in his victory speech, he started out talking about real nuts and bolts, practical victories.

00:43:49.200 I will translate.

00:43:49.900 We've gone from being the most dangerous country in the world to being the safest country in the Western Hemisphere, the safest country in the American continent.

00:44:10.480 What did they tell us?

00:44:11.260 You're violating human rights.

00:44:14.680 Who's human rights? 0.82

00:44:16.120 The rights of honest people?

00:44:17.480 No.

00:44:18.640 Perhaps we've prioritized the rights of honest people over criminals' rights.

00:44:22.940 That's what we've done.

00:44:24.580 And that's what you say is a human rights violation.

00:44:27.640 I ask these organizations, I ask the governments of these foreign countries, I ask these journalists, why do you want to kill us?

00:44:45.100 Why do you want to see our blood spilled? 0.60

00:44:46.580 Why aren't you happy that blood doesn't run in our country as it used to?

00:44:54.080 Why should we die so that you can be happy that we're respecting your false democracy, which you don't even respect in your own country?

00:45:03.300 Love this.

00:45:04.280 Directly calling out the liberal establishment, including the libs in Washington, D.C.

00:45:07.400 You're saying, I'm a dictator.

00:45:09.460 I'm a dictator.

00:45:09.980 I got elected with the vast majority of the vote.

00:45:12.920 A far more legitimate vote than sometimes happens in Western countries.

00:45:16.100 And I'm popular because we're arresting an actual satanic gang that rapes children.

00:45:23.660 We're talking about MS-13, an explicitly satanic gang. 0.97

00:45:27.280 We're arresting these guys with face tattoos who look like demons.

00:45:30.240 We're arresting them. 0.95

00:45:31.080 We're throwing them in prison.

00:45:31.860 And now we're the safest country in the Western Hemisphere.

00:45:33.740 Why are you upset about that?

00:45:34.880 Because of some false notion of democracy that you don't live by.

00:45:37.660 What's going to animate a democracy?

00:45:39.560 A democracy is just a form of government.

00:45:42.220 What's the spirit that animates it?

00:45:43.680 He gives the answer.

00:45:44.560 Bukele says the answer is something that the West has forgotten, and that would be God.

00:45:51.140 We're tools of God.

00:45:52.700 God chose to heal our country.

00:45:56.140 He did it by uniting the people who can take the reins of their own destiny.

00:46:04.880 I can already see the headlines.

00:46:06.960 Bukele mentions God, and the country must be secular.

00:46:13.000 They even want to force us to be atheists now.

00:46:16.100 We respect all religions.

00:46:18.720 We respect atheists and agnostics.

00:46:20.500 We are their friends.

00:46:22.380 But let us believe in God.

00:46:24.460 And let us give him the glory that he wants.

00:46:26.480 What's the harm in that?

00:46:27.120 How does that hurt you?

00:46:27.960 Oh, maybe the problem is that it sets an example, because maybe the people in your countries who you have tried to indoctrinate into atheism will once again believe in God.

00:46:40.820 Maybe that's the problem.

00:46:42.260 Maybe that is the problem to these libs, and maybe that's the solution.

00:46:44.900 And maybe we can look to our neighbors to the south, a stunning example of success in this regard.

00:46:51.940 Not just on one policy matter, not just on fixing the economy, all the way down to the fundamental issue of society, because all human conflict ultimately is religious.

00:47:00.900 And that guy just showed the way.

00:47:03.160 Not only how to fix the country, but how to be very popular doing it.

00:47:05.980 Not popular among the journalists, not popular in the Beltway in Washington, D.C., but very, very popular among the people who still have at least a little bit more common sense than our self-appointed political elite.
