00:00:00.000 From Amazon MGM Studios comes Melania. Every protocol, every precaution, every move coordinated.
00:00:05.280 This new film takes you inside the 20 days leading up to the 2025 presidential election
00:00:08.760 through the eyes of the first lady herself. The briefings, the planning, the private conversations
00:00:12.560 witness what it takes to secure her return to one of the world's most powerful roles. Melania,
00:00:17.660 only in theaters, January 30th. A leftist mob burst into City's Baptist Church in Minneapolis
00:00:23.540 on Sunday. Not only did the mob interrupt the religious service, but in the words of Don Lemon,
00:00:28.780 who arrived at the church with the mob, they also traumatized kids.
00:00:34.540 Watch this guy here, look, he's hugging his kid. And I imagine it's uncomfortable and traumatic for
00:00:42.120 the people here. But again, careful, it's very slippery right here. It's uncomfortable and
00:00:47.080 traumatic for the people here, but that's what really, careful, please, really slippery. Not
00:00:51.840 kidding. That's what protesting is about. And so. Protesting is about traumatizing kids at church.
00:01:02.040 Is that, that's the new position? Protesting is about traumatizing kids anywhere, traumatizing anybody.
00:01:09.520 Is that? Protesting, it's all about traumatizing kids at church. That's the new definition according
00:01:17.520 to the left. But according to the constitution, protesting is about petitioning the government
00:01:23.560 to redress grievances. That's where your right to protest comes from. That's why protests are
00:01:29.920 typically directed at politicians rather than say little kids trying to pray. Traumatizing children
00:01:37.320 to achieve a political end is not protesting. It's terrorism. Not only is what the mob did not
00:01:45.460 protected by the constitution, it is explicitly prohibited by federal law. Ironically, by the
00:01:51.180 same federal law that the leftists use to round up pro-life advocates outside of abortion clinics,
00:01:56.320 which means that lots of people, including Don Lemon, need to be arrested.
00:02:01.900 I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.
00:02:15.460 Welcome back to the show. A BBC host just hissed on camera at the name of Jesus Christ.
00:02:30.060 This isn't the sort of thing you would expect out of a satire. This is the sort of thing you would
00:02:35.100 expect to read in, I don't know, in the Bible, you know, someone possessed by demons and, but
00:02:40.340 you're getting it out of mainstream journalists. And maybe that tells you something. Maybe that
00:02:45.500 tells you something about both demons and mainstream journalists. We'll get to that
00:02:48.260 momentarily. First, I want to tell you about Done With Debt. Go to donewithdebt.com. Are you
00:02:52.640 drowning in credit card and loan debt after the Christmas season? You're not alone. Here's
00:02:57.260 something most people don't know. Now is the best time of the year to negotiate with your lenders.
00:03:01.640 Credit card companies and lenders desperately need to clear problem accounts from their books before
00:03:06.360 audits begin. This creates a narrow window where they're far more willing to cut deals than they
00:03:10.460 are any other time of the year. Done With Debt has cracked the code on this timing advantage. They
00:03:14.500 know exactly which companies are most motivated to negotiate right now and use this insider
00:03:18.480 knowledge to get results you can't achieve on your own. Best part? No bankruptcy, no new loans,
00:03:23.280 no credit damage. In fact, most clients end up with more money in their pocket within the first
00:03:27.020 month because they're no longer drowning in minimum payments. But this window won't stay open
00:03:31.120 forever. Lenders will tighten up again and your leverage disappears. Do not let debt,
00:03:36.360 ruin your life. I've seen it bring a lot of stress and anxiety on people. Don't do it. Get
00:03:40.520 started now while you still have time. Go to donewithdebt.com. Talk with one of their
00:03:44.540 specialists for free. Donewithdebt.com. That is done with debt. Very simple. Good start to the new
00:03:52.240 year. Donewithdebt.com. The leftist mob is no longer just targeting ice on the streets of
00:03:59.640 Minneapolis. No longer just targeting independent journalists on the streets of Minneapolis.
00:04:03.640 We'll get to that too. They're now busting into churches during church services to stop people
00:04:10.980 from praying. Take a look. So you can see the protesters here have gathered over here.
00:04:19.680 They're in the middle of the church. During the beginning of the church service, the pastor was
00:04:24.220 speaking. And Nekima stood up and said her peace. And then the protesters surrounded her. But this is a
00:04:31.840 clandestine mission. I think they found out one of, according to them, this is according to
00:04:36.580 Operation Pull-Up, that one of the pastors here is a member of ICE. And so here we go.
00:04:46.280 He took out the lead pastor.
00:04:47.800 Yeah.
00:04:48.680 So the voice that you're hearing,
00:04:54.840 I think that is also Don Lemon. The Don Lemon of it all is very, very weird.
00:04:59.580 He enters into this church with the mob, and then he's explaining the mob's position.
00:05:05.580 This seems less like a journalist covering a news story than a journalist participating in a news
00:05:12.440 story, a journalist encouraging a news story, a journalist breaking the law. In any case, though,
00:05:17.660 the mob busts into church during the service because they say that one of the pastors is
00:05:25.200 affiliated with ICE. Don Lemon, then dressed like an Antifa black block thug wearing a hoodie,
00:05:30.600 goes up to one of the pastors and gets right up in his face.
00:05:34.800 What do you think of this?
00:05:36.460 I mean, this is unacceptable. It's shameful.
00:05:38.800 It's shameful to interrupt a public gathering of Christians in worship.
00:05:44.100 I have to take care of my flock and my family.
00:05:50.080 Listen, there's a constitution in the First Amendment to freedom of speech and freedom to
00:05:54.100 assemble and protest.
00:05:55.600 We're here to worship. We're here to worship Jesus because that's the hope of these cities.
00:05:59.940 That's the hope of the world is Jesus Christ.
00:06:01.840 I want to be very respectful. Please don't push me, though.
00:06:03.980 We're here. We're here to worship Jesus. That's why we're here.
00:06:08.100 That's why we're here. That's what we're about.
00:06:10.160 Don't you think Jesus would be understanding and love these folks?
00:06:14.240 We're about spreading the love of Jesus.
00:06:15.820 But did you try to talk to them as a Christian?
00:06:18.020 No one is willing to talk.
00:06:19.160 Okay.
00:06:19.740 I have to take care of my church and my family, so I ask that you actually would also leave this building.
00:06:24.640 You don't want us to chronicle or whatever?
00:06:26.600 Unless you're here to worship.
00:06:27.300 I'm always worship. I'm a Christian.
00:06:28.580 I'm always worshiping. I'm a Christian.
00:06:33.740 News to me. Interesting. Didn't know that.
00:06:36.360 I know a few things about Don Lemon's life.
00:06:38.300 It's surprising to me that he would call himself a Christian.
00:06:40.700 But he's obviously not being serious.
00:06:43.140 He says, what do you mean?
00:06:44.600 I mean, just take it from the beginning.
00:06:46.040 He says, I mean, we have a First Amendment right here.
00:06:48.460 So you can just bust into anybody's private church service, any organization, any association.
00:06:54.720 Can you bust into someone's home?
00:06:56.880 Hey, we're protesting. I'm just protesting.
00:06:58.640 I have a First Amendment right.
00:07:00.600 Hey, so I know I'm interrupting dinner, but hand me a turkey leg.
00:07:03.240 I'm protesting. That's my constitutional right.
00:07:05.100 Does anyone seriously believe that?
00:07:06.600 Is Don Lemon that dumb?
00:07:10.080 I don't think so.
00:07:10.880 I mean, you would have to be powerfully, powerfully stupid and ignorant.
00:07:14.440 And I don't think he is.
00:07:15.720 I think he has bad intentions.
00:07:17.180 I think he has an ill will.
00:07:18.520 He's certainly malicious.
00:07:19.700 But I don't think that he's all that dumb.
00:07:23.240 He busts into this church with a mob.
00:07:25.420 He says, why aren't you talking to them?
00:07:26.980 Meanwhile, you hear the mob just shrieking and screaming.
00:07:29.620 And the pastor rightly says, I don't think they want to talk.
00:07:33.360 Yeah, but come on, it's their First Amendment right.
00:07:35.620 So what's crucial here is they don't have any right to do this.
00:07:40.280 Not only do they not have any right to do this, it's actually against federal law.
00:07:45.560 There's something called the FACE Act.
00:07:47.560 The FACE Act is really just used to stop pro-lifers from advocating outside of abortion clinics.
00:07:53.820 But the way that they were able to get the FACE Act passed was to say, okay, well, we're going to stop demonstrators at abortion clinics.
00:08:00.380 And we're also going to stop them at churches.
00:08:02.920 So, okay, so the left, you know, we're going to protect the left's churches, which is where you go and sacrifice babies.
00:08:07.620 And we're also going to protect the right's churches, which are just churches.
00:08:13.320 So, okay, you know, it's like, well, fine.
00:08:16.080 Listen, here's our concession to you conservatives.
00:08:18.640 We'll stop leftist mobs from ransacking your churches.
00:08:21.400 But you need to stop praying outside of abortion mills where they're slaughtering babies to Moloch.
00:08:26.400 Okay?
00:08:26.860 And it got passed.
00:08:30.240 The FACE Act should be repealed.
00:08:31.660 But inasmuch as it's still the law, they are not allowed to do this.
00:08:35.260 We wouldn't tolerate this in any other circumstance, even if we weren't talking about churches specifically, as one of the congregants mentions to Don Lemon.
00:08:42.240 These people have come into our house, and they've interrupted our worship.
00:08:50.420 This is a house of peace, and we try to proclaim that.
00:08:53.960 And this stirs division and rancor.
00:08:57.400 And in the end, it's not helpful.
00:08:59.440 Ultimately, I believe they've lost.
00:09:01.680 They've emptied a house of worship.
00:09:04.180 Everybody's gone home.
00:09:05.540 Their point has been proven worthless.
00:09:07.960 And so, in the end, I think they lose.
00:09:10.980 But more importantly, if I was to break into any of their houses uninvited, cause derision and upset, according to their values, I would be kicked out, ultimately.
00:09:26.920 It's not a good way.
00:09:29.060 I feel violated.
00:09:32.740 I feel interrupted.
00:09:34.740 I feel angry.
00:09:37.120 Yeah.
00:09:38.280 Yeah.
00:09:38.920 Very well stated.
00:09:39.940 And there's Don Lemon just looking like a complete, not even looking like a schmuck.
00:09:45.160 He's just looking like a radical, like a real radical.
00:09:48.480 And he used to keep it in check.
00:09:49.840 He used to seem more moderate.
00:09:51.100 Then he went a little more left, as CNN went more left.
00:09:53.880 And since he's left CNN, now he's just cheering on the ransacking of churches.
00:09:58.020 They always go after the churches.
00:09:59.960 They always go after the churches.
00:10:01.640 This was true in the French Revolution.
00:10:03.460 This was true in the Spanish Civil War.
00:10:05.280 This was true in the Bolshevik Revolution.
00:10:08.800 And the left just, oh, this was true in Mexico.
00:10:12.060 They always go after the churches.
00:10:15.600 This was true in Germany.
00:10:16.700 The Nazis, too, which all of those movements were from the left.
00:10:20.120 The Nazi movement was more from the right, but it's a little complicated.
00:10:23.120 They, too, though, swore to get rid of the churches in Germany, radically change the churches in Germany.
00:10:28.860 They always go after the churches.
00:10:32.840 Why is that?
00:10:34.740 I mean, even going down to the origin of right and left, the origin of right and left in the French Revolution had the people on the right who defended the church and the people on the left of the National Assembly who hated the church and who ended up trying to destroy it in France.
00:10:47.760 The church got the last laugh, but there was a lot of suffering in the meantime.
00:10:52.780 And Don Lemon defends all of this.
00:10:55.380 The establishment media defend all of this.
00:10:57.180 So when we look a little closer at the establishment media, there's this clip going viral on the BBC of a BBC journalist interviewing some guy.
00:11:04.820 I don't even know who the guy is.
00:11:05.940 And asks, who are your heroes?
00:11:09.000 Who do you look up to?
00:11:10.460 Listen to his answer and the lady's reaction.
00:11:14.080 And just quickly, who are your heroes?
00:11:16.320 My heroes are Santan Dave, Kendrick Lamar, most of all Jesus Christ.
00:11:22.940 Well, it's lovely to meet you, Daniel Chengerai.
00:11:26.260 What?
00:11:26.660 I didn't know if that was a real clip at first.
00:11:29.580 I had to go into the community notes.
00:11:31.500 I had to look for context around here.
00:11:33.140 There are news articles about this.
00:11:35.020 Hey, who are your heroes?
00:11:35.980 Oh, you know, I like so-and-so.
00:11:37.840 I like Kendrick Lamar and, of course, my ultimate hero, Jesus Christ.
00:11:43.560 Be gone.
00:11:44.600 What is your business with me, Jesus of Nazareth?
00:11:46.920 My time has not yet come.
00:11:48.260 Well, wonderful to have you with us.
00:11:52.700 Thank you so much for joining.
00:11:54.380 We'll have to have you back.
00:11:55.240 We'll be back.
00:11:56.300 First, a quick message from our friends over at Silly Hats Incorporated.
00:12:02.320 That was really a bizarre reaction, wasn't it?
00:12:05.340 But maybe it wasn't.
00:12:08.000 We see this a lot.
00:12:10.440 All of these political revolutions, they always go after the churches.
00:12:13.540 They always go after the clergy.
00:12:14.880 They always go.
00:12:16.560 There's a special kind of hatred with these radicals, a special kind of hatred for the
00:12:23.000 name of Christ.
00:12:23.620 And then you hear this woman, Kendrick Lamar, Kendrick Lamar, and, of course, Jesus Christ,
00:12:28.740 like the serpent in the garden.
00:12:32.980 And it shouldn't really be surprising because if you believe in Christianity, this makes sense.
00:12:41.700 If you believe in Christianity, this makes sense.
00:12:43.900 The holy name would be a terror of demons.
00:12:47.420 If you don't believe in Christianity, this doesn't make sense.
00:12:50.960 But that should stop you, too.
00:12:52.460 What is it about the name of Jesus?
00:12:55.440 What is it about the churches that get these radicals riled up especially in a way that
00:13:01.680 seems really kind of inexplicable?
00:13:04.260 Why did the lady hiss?
00:13:07.700 If you don't believe in Christianity, it doesn't make any sense.
00:13:11.360 If you do believe in Christianity, it makes perfect sense.
00:13:15.220 This would be exhibit Z.
00:13:18.760 I don't know.
00:13:19.360 This would be a piece of evidence number 10,558.
00:13:25.300 Perhaps Christianity is true.
00:13:26.760 Have you ever considered that?
00:13:28.360 Well, speaking of Christianity, we'll get to a controversial statement that's just come out of
00:13:32.540 the patriarchs and heads of the churches in Jerusalem with regard to Christian Zionism.
00:13:36.980 We'll get to that momentarily.

00:14:21.120 Glowing reviews from me, your favorite podcaster.
00:14:24.140 It's not just the marketing hype.
00:14:25.460 A study that they conducted found that 82% of participants actually saw an increase in
00:14:29.900 their deep sleep cycle while sleeping on a Helix mattress, which is pretty impressive
00:14:33.460 when you think about how crucial quality sleep is for everything else in life.
00:14:36.220 I love it.

00:15:06.720 Very controversial statement, according to the internets, just came out of not just the
00:15:14.500 Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, which is the chief Catholic prelate in Jerusalem, but the
00:15:20.660 heads of the other churches around Jerusalem, the Armenian church, the Syriac church, the
00:15:24.700 Greek Orthodox church, all those kinds of apostolic churches.
00:15:27.560 Here we are.
00:15:28.200 I'll just read it to you.
00:15:28.860 A statement from the patriarchs and heads of the churches in Jerusalem on unity and
00:15:32.900 representation of the Christian communities in the Holy Land.
00:15:36.000 The patriarchs and heads of the churches in the Holy Land affirm before the faithful and
00:15:40.480 before the world that the flock of Christ in this land is entrusted to the apostolic churches,
00:15:44.220 which have borne their sacred ministry across centuries with steadfast devotion.
00:15:48.200 This is the controversial line.
00:15:49.380 Recent activities undertaken by local individuals who advance damaging ideologies, such as Christian
00:15:55.740 Zionism, mislead the public, sow confusion, and harm the unity of our flock.
00:16:00.140 These undertakings have found favor among certain political actors in Israel and beyond who seek
00:16:04.240 to push a political agenda which may harm the Christian presence in the Holy Land and the wider
00:16:08.320 Middle East.
00:16:08.880 It goes on, a few more paragraphs.
00:16:12.360 It says, may the Lord, who is the shepherd and guardian of souls, grant wisdom for the
00:16:14.940 protection of his people and the safeguarding of his witness in the sacred land, the patriarchs
00:16:18.340 and heads of the churches in Jerusalem.
00:16:19.540 So what is this about?
00:16:20.840 There's been a lot of talk about Zionism generally, which is the nationalist ideology that sprung up
00:16:26.240 in the 19th century that sent the Jews back to the Holy Land, where they had been a couple
00:16:32.060 of millennia prior.
00:16:33.100 It hadn't really been in big numbers for a while.
00:16:35.300 And then they go back.
00:16:37.460 We've heard a lot about Zionism.
00:16:38.660 We've even heard about Christian Zionism, which is the Christian, a Christian perspective
00:16:44.500 on this.
00:16:45.260 But what are they talking about?
00:16:46.180 This local individuals who are sowing discord, who are upending the proper Christian authority.
00:16:51.140 And I did a little research because I don't really know because I'm Catholic and I don't
00:16:54.700 follow these particularly Protestant trends all that closely.
00:16:59.460 But I think what they're referring to is this guy, Robert Stearns, who calls himself Bishop
00:17:04.200 Robert Stearns.
00:17:05.300 He's not part of any apostolic Christian community, but he calls himself Bishop Robert Stearns.
00:17:11.640 And he is apparently a vociferous advocate of the ideology of Christian Zionism.
00:17:17.940 Here's just a little bit of what he said recently.
00:17:19.680 If I had a hundred lifetimes, it would not be sufficient teshuvah, it would not be sufficient
00:17:27.760 repentance for all that has happened over history.
00:17:31.380 But I'm here tonight to say something to you.
00:17:35.560 I'm here tonight to tell you that there is a new breed of Christian alive in the world
00:17:41.960 today.
00:17:42.940 There is a new breed of Christian that says along with you, for Zion's sake, I will not
00:17:49.660 be silent and for Jerusalem's sake, I will not be still.
00:17:53.880 I mesh kachek Yerushalayim yishtak Yemani.
00:17:56.580 We have been divided.
00:18:02.960 There is the fear.
00:18:04.560 Evangelicals are all missionaries.
00:18:06.100 We just want to get you all to return to Jerusalem so the apocalypse can come.
00:18:11.140 When Mashiach comes, there will be a great press conference in Jerusalem.
00:18:16.160 Jerusalem, the BBC and the New York Times will not be invited.
00:18:23.840 The Jerusalem Post will be conducting the interview with the Mashiach and they will say to him
00:18:31.140 this.
00:18:31.560 They will say, sir, is this your first visit or your second?
00:18:38.960 I believe his answer will be yes.
00:18:44.340 Okay.
00:18:45.080 All right.
00:18:45.580 Hold on.
00:18:46.280 I was trying to have a sympathetic view of this and the end here is totally ridiculous
00:18:52.520 because it violates the law of non-contradiction, which we've known about since at least
00:18:58.060 Aristotle, which is that opposing statements cannot simultaneously be true in the same respect.
00:19:04.860 So Christ is going to come back and the Christians are going to think it's his second
00:19:07.680 coming and the Jews are going to think it's his first coming and they're going to say,
00:19:10.840 well, which is it?
00:19:11.660 And at this imaginary press conference, this pastor says, and our Lord will say, yes, yes,
00:19:20.760 it's both my first and second coming.
00:19:22.800 What does that mean?
00:19:23.280 That doesn't mean anything.
00:19:24.240 It's one or the other.
00:19:25.000 And it's, it will be the second coming.
00:19:27.920 I'm happy to break it to you.
00:19:29.500 It will be the second coming.
00:19:30.680 And if you're a Christian, you have to believe that.
00:19:33.140 So he's trying to, I don't know, he's trying to be really nice or soft or something, but
00:19:36.060 you know, give me a break.
00:19:37.380 And then his other claim is that the existence of the present state of Israel is of biblical,
00:19:46.480 prophetic, religious importance and is necessary for the coming of the apocalypse or whatever.
00:19:53.840 Again, this is a view, I know there are a lot of people who share this view.
00:19:57.720 However, this is a relatively new view in the history of Christianity.
00:20:01.120 It's only been around for really less than two centuries.
00:20:05.080 And this is not the traditional view held by Christianity.
00:20:08.220 And it's not the view that I think is correct, which brings us back to the initial statement.
00:20:11.780 Is this statement shocking new, even anti-Israel or something like that?
00:20:17.680 No, no, it's not here.
00:20:20.400 Let me just read.
00:20:21.020 This is a line from the Vatican from 1985.
00:20:24.280 This is a declaration from the Vatican on the state of Israel from 40 years ago.
00:20:29.140 And 20 years after the second Vatican council, which says all sorts of nice things about Jews
00:20:34.420 and all, you know, it's in no sense anti-Semitic in any way.
00:20:38.120 The Vatican in 1985 says, the history of Israel did not end in 70 AD.
00:20:42.440 It continued, especially in a numerous diaspora, which allowed Israel to carry to the whole world
00:20:45.980 a witness, often heroic of its fidelity to the one God and to exalt him in the presence
00:20:49.660 of all the living, citing Tobit, while preserving the memory of the land of their forefathers
00:20:53.740 at the heart of their hope and references the Passover Seder.
00:20:57.000 So here, the Vatican is writing not about the church as the new Israel, which is what Christians
00:21:02.860 have always held, but he's writing specifically about the terrestrial and figurative Israel
00:21:06.780 of the Jews.
00:21:08.280 He's saying, you know, the Jews went all about this world.
00:21:10.140 They didn't just end in 70 AD and they've carried this witness, which is often very heroic
00:21:14.460 and they do have some connection to the land.
00:21:16.260 However, here's the key.
00:21:18.580 Christians are invited to understand this religious attachment, which finds its roots in biblical
00:21:22.280 tradition, without, however, making their own any particular religious interpretation
00:21:27.360 of this relationship.
00:21:28.900 And then just to underscore the point, the existence of the state of Israel and its political options
00:21:34.120 should be envisaged, not in a perspective which is in itself religious, but in their reference
00:21:40.300 to the common principles of international law.
00:21:42.820 Bingo.
00:21:43.380 Love this.
00:21:44.300 This is exactly what the patriarchs are reaffirming from Jerusalem.
00:21:47.660 And it's totally right.
00:21:49.020 And this is why I would not call myself a Zionist or a Christian Zionist or any other
00:21:54.480 kind of Zionist.
00:21:55.760 It's not because I don't like the Jews and it's not because I don't even support the state
00:21:59.380 of Israel.
00:22:00.140 As I think I've made clear, I am broadly supportive of the nation state of Israel, but I am broadly
00:22:05.940 supportive of it, not because I believe in the principles of Zionism, which makes certain
00:22:10.080 historical claims and religious claims that I just don't think are true.
00:22:12.960 I don't think that the Jews are entitled to the Holy Land because of some religious premise.
00:22:20.740 I don't think that's true.
00:22:21.680 In fact, being Christian, I believe that the Old Testament is fulfilled in the New Testament.
00:22:26.160 Christ is the new covenant, the fulfillment, the, you know, everything that was typified
00:22:30.180 in the Old Testament is fulfilled in Christ and the church as the new and spiritual Israel.
00:22:34.760 So I don't buy those religious premises.
00:22:36.540 And I don't believe just because a people was on a plot of dirt 2,000 years ago that that
00:22:41.700 means they're entitled to it today.
00:22:43.760 If that were the case, we'd have to turn the Black Hills of, you know, we'd have to turn
00:22:46.700 Mount Rushmore over to the Lakota Sioux.
00:22:49.540 I don't believe any of that.
00:22:50.920 And yet, I am broadly supportive of the nation state of Israel because I don't like the alternatives.
00:22:56.200 I don't like the idea of giving Iran more power in the Holy Land.
00:23:00.180 I don't think the Muslims have been particularly protective of the holy sites.
00:23:03.940 Sometimes they've been better than others, but the Ottoman Empire doesn't exist anymore.
00:23:07.320 The current options in the Holy Land are not great, and we're not probably not reestablishing
00:23:12.640 Baldwin's kingdom anytime soon.
00:23:14.400 So as a practical political matter, then also on the point of international law, the Jews
00:23:20.220 were bequeathed some of this territory by the British Empire, which had control of it after
00:23:24.940 the Ottoman Empire.
00:23:26.420 They then had a declaration from the United Nations purporting to advance international law,
00:23:30.600 and they fought a war of conquest.
00:23:32.240 So any way you slice it, it seems to me that according to the current nation state system,
00:23:38.240 they basically have a right to it.
00:23:39.480 But crucially, that is not Zionism, and it doesn't imply anything as a matter of biblical
00:23:46.220 prophecy for the modern nation state of Israel.
00:23:49.500 You can support Israel.
00:23:52.240 You don't have to support the nation state of Israel, but if you do, you can do so without
00:23:56.780 adhering to the relatively novel theology of Christian Zionism.
00:24:00.620 You can like the Jews.
00:24:02.680 I love the Jews.
00:24:03.540 I grew up in New York.
00:24:04.480 I'm very philo-Semitic, okay?
00:24:06.300 I like, if you told me if I had to make a choice between hanging out and eating a pastrami
00:24:11.660 sandwich with the guys who make pastrami sandwiches and eating shawarma with the guys who make shawarma,
00:24:16.120 I'm taking the pastrami sandwich 100 out of 100 times, okay?
00:24:20.320 Maybe 999 out of 1,000 times.
00:24:22.440 I'm going with the pastrami sandwich.
00:24:23.660 You can be philo-Semitic and not adhere to the relatively novel ideology of Christian Zionism.
00:24:29.540 That's clearly what the patriarchs of Jerusalem are saying.
00:24:34.380 Anyone suggesting that this is a, I don't know, a break with tradition or anti-Semitic
00:24:40.640 or anything like that, I think is just totally insane.
00:24:43.740 Now, speaking of, really drilling down on Christianity, there is a lib, James Tallarico,
00:24:50.180 who's gone viral for being a lib politician who's ostensibly Christian.
00:24:53.820 And he just went on Ezra Klein's show on the New York Times and I think expressed what
00:25:00.760 supposedly left-wing Christianity really comes down to.
00:25:03.940 I think he revealed himself.
00:25:05.080 We'll get to that momentarily.

00:26:19.220 Stop by, pick up a couple bags before they're gone.
00:26:22.300 Here is left-wing politician Christian, par excellence, James Tallarico.
00:26:29.620 He's a Texas state rep.
00:26:31.860 Getting down, good on Ezra Klein for just drilling himself, trying to get down to the
00:26:36.080 question of whether or not he's actually a Christian.
00:26:38.720 You be the judge.
00:26:39.360 How do you think about the competing claims of different religions?
00:26:44.320 Do you believe Christianity to be more true than other religions?
00:26:47.440 Do you believe there to be exclusivity in these beliefs, that they're incompatible with
00:26:51.240 each other?
00:26:52.120 I believe Christianity points to the truth.
00:26:54.580 I also think other religions of love point to the same truth.
00:26:57.700 I think of different religious traditions as different languages.
00:27:00.160 So, you and I could sit here and debate what to call this cup, and you could call it a cup
00:27:04.920 in English, you'd call it something else in Spanish and French, but we are all talking
00:27:09.320 about the same reality.
00:27:10.580 I believe Jesus Christ reveals that reality to us.
00:27:13.420 But I also think that other traditions reveal that reality in their own ways with their own
00:27:18.000 symbol structures.
00:27:18.720 And I've learned more about my tradition by learning more about Buddhism and Hinduism
00:27:23.780 and Islam and Judaism.
00:27:25.760 And so, I see these beautiful faith traditions as circling the same truth about the universe,
00:27:30.840 about the cosmos.
00:27:31.780 And that truth is inherently a mystery.
00:27:34.560 And I think the most destructive thing is when religion becomes an end in and of itself.
00:27:40.680 That's when religion implodes.
00:27:42.420 My pastor always told me growing up that religious symbols are like aspirin.
00:27:46.440 In order to work, they have to dissolve.
00:27:47.840 They point beyond themselves.
00:27:49.860 If you get lost in the symbols, if you get lost in the words, you're missing the reality
00:27:54.420 that we're all trying to describe and talk about.
00:27:57.680 So, that was a lot of words to say no.
00:28:00.380 The question, good question from Ezra Klein.
00:28:02.500 He says, do you think Christianity is more true?
00:28:04.500 He didn't even start out by saying, is the only religion that contains any truth whatsoever.
00:28:10.140 He says, do you think Christianity is more true than other religions?
00:28:13.000 And do you think that Christianity makes exclusive claims to the truth?
00:28:18.640 Or is correct in its exclusive claims to the truth?
00:28:21.100 And Tallarico says no.
00:28:23.120 He uses a lot of words to say no.
00:28:26.000 Which shows you that Tallarico's real religion is liberalism.
00:28:29.940 And that's true for a lot of Democrat politicians.
00:28:32.120 It's true for someone like Joe Biden, who says that he's Catholic.
00:28:35.720 It's true for someone like, I don't know, someone like Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, really down
00:28:40.160 the line.
00:28:41.540 And here's how you know.
00:28:42.480 Let's just use Biden as an example.
00:28:44.660 Biden makes such a big show of being the greatest Catholic in the world.
00:28:48.080 You know, he's always as Catholic as they come, isn't he?
00:28:50.860 Until it conflicts with his liberalism on an issue like abortion.
00:28:56.000 And then when it comes to that issue like abortion, he goes with liberalism.
00:29:00.740 He says, I support abortion.
00:29:01.980 The church says this is a non-negotiable issue.
00:29:04.040 You will be excommunicated, very likely, if you support abortion.
00:29:09.800 And Biden says, well, I'm supporting abortion anyway.
00:29:11.900 Because when liberalism and Christianity can go hand in hand, don't forget, liberalism
00:29:16.360 is an outgrowth and really a perversion of Christianity.
00:29:19.480 When they overlap, okay, it's fine.
00:29:21.700 He'll be a Christian.
00:29:22.560 When they diverge and when they conflict, he's picking liberalism every time.
00:29:26.720 What happens on marriage?
00:29:29.140 Christianity says marriage is a union between a man and a woman ordered toward the procreation
00:29:32.680 and education of children.
00:29:34.200 Liberalism says two fellas doing weird stuff together can be marriage.
00:29:37.140 Guess what Biden goes with?
00:29:40.540 They always go with liberalism when there's a conflict.
00:29:42.820 And Tallarico is doing the same thing.
00:29:44.500 He's just doing a really dumb version of Kant, basically.
00:29:48.000 He's saying, well, Christianity has some truth.
00:29:52.540 I mean, look, the true thing that Tallarico is saying is that even in natural religion,
00:29:56.840 you can find a little bit of truth, partial truths.
00:29:59.480 That is accurate.
00:30:01.140 You can in something like Buddhism or Greek paganism.
00:30:05.280 You can find hints of the truth.
00:30:07.140 Because the existence of God can be known with certainty from the natural world.
00:30:09.740 Because Christ is the logos, the logic of the universe.
00:30:12.280 So in as much as we are engaging with the natural world in anything resembling a rational way,
00:30:17.720 you're going to get some hint of religious truth.
00:30:20.740 Then you fast forward to the Jews, and the Jews get a real revelation
00:30:24.780 that is actually the figure of Christ.
00:30:27.420 So there, you're getting a pretty good glimpse of revealed religious truth.
00:30:34.060 Even with Islam, you're getting a bunch of heresy.
00:30:37.460 But at the very least, it's heresy that comes against Christianity.
00:30:41.640 So in that way, it's kind of clarifying of Christianity.
00:30:44.600 But Christianity is the truth.
00:30:48.020 If you're a Christian, you have to believe it is the truth.
00:30:50.480 That the church possesses the fullness of truth.
00:30:53.480 That Christ is the truth exclusively.
00:30:56.600 I am the way, the truth, and the life.
00:30:58.240 No one comes to the Father except through me.
00:31:00.860 You have to believe that if you're a Christian.
00:31:03.880 And if you don't believe that, you're probably not a Christian, right?
00:31:07.900 You probably don't believe in Christianity.
00:31:09.320 If you are not, at the very least, willing to say Christianity is more true than Buddhism,
00:31:17.940 you're not in any meaningful sense a Christian.
00:31:20.980 I suppose if you're baptized, then you have an indelible mark on your soul.
00:31:24.540 But when it comes to the ascent of your intellect and will, you're not really Christian.
00:31:30.000 He says, no, it's just they all these religions, including Christianity, point to the truth.
00:31:34.840 I would say all of these religions in some way point to the truth, which is Christianity.
00:31:41.840 I guess you could say, but he says, no, no, no.
00:31:43.400 All of the religions, including Christianity, point at some other truth, which is just liberalism.
00:31:47.980 Liberalism just says, well, look, there are these abstract truths about human nature
00:31:51.800 that previous religions tried to sort of get at, but basically got wrong.
00:31:56.160 That's what he's saying.
00:31:57.360 So he's a lib.
00:31:58.220 You got to pick.
00:31:59.100 You got to pick.
00:32:00.040 You can't.
00:32:00.540 When it comes down to it, you really ultimately cannot be a Christian and a true committed ideological liberal.
00:32:09.860 Because they make contrary claims and they can't simultaneously be true in the same respect.
00:32:14.220 Speaking of irreverent religious discussion from legislators, Ilhan Omar going viral for having this to say about the United States.
00:32:21.960 The one place where we thought we would never experience this is the U.S. goddamn states.
00:32:31.840 I don't like that.
00:32:32.980 I don't like that.
00:32:33.760 I don't like it when people take the Lord's name in vain.
00:32:35.680 I'm not saying I haven't done it in my life and I don't like that I did it in my life and people shouldn't do it, especially not legislators.
00:32:41.000 And especially not in this context.
00:32:44.820 Because when you take the vulgarity out of what she says, she's calling the country God forsaken.
00:32:53.160 A little worse than God forsaken.
00:32:55.280 Just saying this country is damned.
00:32:58.700 And that's offensive in a much deeper way because she's not from this country.
00:33:03.500 She came here.
00:33:04.520 And the only way she was able to come here is by claiming that this country was going to give her refuge.
00:33:10.300 That her own country was such a mess that she was going to come here as a charity case and we were going to be really nice to her.
00:33:16.520 And this is the gratitude we get.
00:33:19.560 This country, which ostensibly could have saved her life and which made her wealthy, which made her famous, which gave her political power stupidly.
00:33:30.440 And she has that kind of ingratitude to say about the country, that vulgarity.
00:33:37.740 She, by her very presence in this country, degrades our political order so visibly.
00:33:43.900 I don't like it.
00:33:45.940 And what's her complaint?
00:33:48.280 Her complaint is we don't want infinite Somalis to come in.
00:33:52.220 Okay, well, we don't.
00:33:53.280 And if you expected something else from America, that's too bad.
00:33:58.300 It's too bad for you.
00:34:00.440 I'm sorry that I'm not all that sorry, but I'm sorry that you, you know, miscalculated or something.
00:34:05.300 But if your complaint is that now we want you to leave, well, I'm not sorry for that.
00:34:10.340 We want you to leave.
00:34:11.520 You should leave.
00:34:12.380 You shouldn't be here.
00:34:13.320 We don't like you here.
00:34:14.640 You make our country worse.
00:34:16.200 You certainly shouldn't be in political office.
00:34:18.920 It would seem committed immigration fraud to come here anyway or to bring your brother here.
00:34:24.440 You've broken our laws.
00:34:25.960 You really should have no right to be here.
00:34:27.980 And if my saying that makes you hate our country even more, well, I'm glad we have clarity.
00:34:35.680 Clarity is charity, isn't it?
00:34:37.480 So go.
00:34:38.540 Get out.
00:34:38.980 I don't know how to say get out in the Star Wars dialect, but go.
00:34:42.420 Buki-buki-baki, Han Solo.
00:34:44.100 You don't like it here.
00:34:46.720 We don't like you being here.
00:34:48.360 It seems we agree.
00:34:50.120 So put your money where your mouth is.
00:34:52.360 Get out.
00:34:52.780 Go back to Somalia or the new country that's being carved out of Somalia.
00:34:55.660 Whatever.
00:34:56.440 But get out.
00:34:58.040 We agree.
00:34:58.980 I'm glad we finally have agreement with Ilhan Omar.
00:35:01.540 She should not be here.
00:35:03.680 Vamanos.
00:35:04.940 You know what they teach you in schools these days?
00:35:07.120 Nothing.
00:35:07.680 At best.
00:35:08.400 And they teach you a bunch of nonsense at worst.
00:35:10.100 You know what they teach you in popular culture and on television and in the movies?
00:35:14.280 Nothing.
00:35:14.840 At best.
00:35:15.660 And a bunch of nonsense at worst.
00:35:16.920 If what you need is to become a Daily Wire Plus member right now, that's step one.
00:35:21.760 Step one, become a Daily Wire Plus member right now.
00:35:26.100 Step two, watch the new series, Real History with Matt Walsh.
00:35:29.420 That's a reset on all the anti-American nonsense that you're getting in schools and you're getting
00:35:33.700 in the movies and on TV.
00:35:35.220 That's step two.
00:35:36.080 Step three, be a great American.
00:35:38.400 That's how you do it.
00:35:40.020 You have to become a Daily Wire Plus member.
00:35:43.040 Do it right now before you forget.
00:35:44.900 Step two, watch Matt's new show, Real History with Matt.
00:35:46.920 Matt Walsh.
00:35:47.360 Step three, you'd be a great American.
00:35:49.100 See you there.
00:35:50.240 Hey, before we get to my favorite comment of the day, we have a new episode of Bar Fight
00:35:53.520 Out.
00:35:53.700 Check it out.
00:35:54.640 Did she hit him with her car?
00:35:56.500 No.
00:35:56.700 Yes or no?
00:35:57.360 I hit people driving out of the Walmart parking lot.
00:35:59.020 I don't support violence, but some of you guys have never had your ass kicked and it
00:36:01.820 really shows.
00:36:02.800 Listen, I've almost gotten hit by a deranged retailer.
00:36:06.240 You guys are like, yee-haw, for like not feeding babies.
00:36:09.420 All right.
00:36:14.200 Welcome everybody to Bar Fight.
00:36:16.100 I'm delighted to be joined by our two esteemed guests, including our first ever returning
00:36:21.440 fighter.
00:36:22.200 He's dusted himself off.
00:36:23.800 Adam Muckler.
00:36:24.860 You guys are quite literally taking an 80-20 position on this line.
00:36:27.600 Because they've been lied to about what happened.
00:36:28.980 If you want a job where you can go terrorize ISIS for you.
00:36:32.180 Our second guest, marketing and influencer sensation.
00:36:35.880 Least necessary she, her pronouns in her bio.
00:36:39.240 It's Lauren Peretra.
00:36:45.140 My favorite comment yesterday is from Victor Simpson, 4487.
00:36:48.840 Now, hold on.
00:36:49.480 I didn't pick this.
00:36:51.560 The producers picked.
00:36:52.860 They didn't remind me to pick a comment.
00:36:55.020 They got to remind me.
00:36:56.040 I'm absent-minded in the morning and in the afternoon and the evening.
00:36:59.000 And they didn't remind me.
00:37:00.760 So we'll see if this is a good one.
00:37:01.780 It says, France has a civil war every few years so they can win something.
00:37:06.100 John Cleese, it's true.
00:37:07.660 There's all sorts of rioting in the streets in France.
00:37:10.560 But, you know, that's perennial.
00:37:12.680 And this is one where I really don't totally blame it on the Muslims.
00:37:15.640 The Muslims are making it worse in France.
00:37:17.740 But really, the French started it.
00:37:20.160 So you can't blame that on the Muslims, okay?
00:37:23.380 Muslims have been trying to conquer France since at least the 8th century.
00:37:27.260 Civil strife in France, that's on the French.
00:37:30.780 Not just Ilhan Omar, who's whining and screeching about this country.
00:37:35.860 Another member of the squad, Rashida Tlaib.
00:37:39.060 She's like the George Harrison of the squad.
00:37:41.060 I view AOC as the Paul McCartney.
00:37:44.160 AOC is the most marketable.
00:37:46.600 She's kind of the most, weirdly, she's the most likable.
00:37:50.420 Ilhan Omar is like John.
00:37:52.280 She's a little more radical.
00:37:53.660 She's a little more, she's up to no good.
00:37:56.340 And then Ayanna Pressley is the Ringo.
00:37:58.920 She's just not, she's the least of a star.
00:38:02.900 But, you know, she's still in the group.
00:38:04.660 And then Rashida Tlaib, I guess she's George Harrison.
00:38:07.320 Well, Tlaib freaked out over a simple post from the Department of Homeland Security, saying we will have our home again.
00:38:15.960 Department of Homeland Security says we're going to enforce the law, kick out foreign criminals.
00:38:21.180 We will have our home.
00:38:23.540 That's like in the name of Homeland Security.
00:38:26.960 Rashida Tlaib found that to be too much.
00:38:30.780 Look at this.
00:38:32.080 We'll have our home again.
00:38:34.560 What does that evoke in you when you see this?
00:38:37.060 It literally, when I see it as a Muslimah, as a Palestinian, as a child of immigrants, I see that this is something that is evoking, like, I'm not welcome here.
00:38:51.580 It is very clear what is intentionally happening here.
00:38:54.620 Okay, so if Rashida Tlaib has some legal right to be in this country, which I guess she does, that's too bad.
00:39:01.580 That's a pity.
00:39:02.000 But if she reads from DHS, we will have our home, and she reads herself as being outside of that, if she reads that as an attack on her, we will defend our home, says the Department of Homeland Security.
00:39:15.580 And she reads that as an attack on her, that is an admission.
00:39:19.440 Okay, that's a confession.
00:39:21.600 I think Homegirl's telling us something here about her real position in the United States and how she really views the country.
00:39:28.540 If she viewed it as her home, then she'd say, yes, great, we will have our home again, won't we?
00:39:37.620 If, however, she views herself as a hostile foreigner who's attempting to conquer the country, and she views resistance to that as a threat to her, well, that tells us something, too.
00:39:48.080 And if that's how she views it, then I want her out, too.
00:39:50.360 Yeah, obviously.
00:39:51.520 We all do.
00:39:52.640 This is basic stuff, guys.
00:39:55.040 Who is ICE arresting?
00:39:56.360 There's a clip, I don't think we're allowed to play it because it's from a litigious social media account, but a great, great clip, it was really well done, of an ICE officer pulling up and yelling back at the journos and the agitators and the rioters.
00:40:15.000 They're screeching at him, and he rolls down his window, he says, hey, hey, hey, we're here to arrest a child sex offender.
00:40:21.740 It's not like these guys are just going in willy-nilly scattershot.
00:40:25.600 They are in these places to go arrest particular people, one of whom, many of whom, but one in particular here, was a child sex offender.
00:40:34.120 He rolls down the window, he says, hey, you guys, you're obstructing us, you're putting yourselves in danger, you're violating the law to protect a child rapist.
00:40:41.740 What is wrong with you people?
00:40:45.460 It's insane.
00:40:46.480 And the guy, actually, the ICE officer in question was himself, I think, Hispanic, certainly of exotic origin, was not a white bread guy.
00:40:56.200 He says, what, you people are insane, of course.
00:40:58.560 And this is backed up by the most famous pedophile hunter probably in the world, Chris Hansen.
00:41:04.780 Some of you are too young to remember that show, to catch a predator, whereas he would do these stings, and these bumbling guys would come up and be like, oh, hey, hi, are you here to go see a 12-year-old girl?
00:41:16.000 What?
00:41:16.360 No, I wasn't going to do nothing.
00:41:17.840 You know, and they've got all sorts of terrible things with them, and they just confessed multiple times that they were going to do this.
00:41:24.620 Anyway, Chris Hansen still does these stings, and apparently, it relates to immigration enforcement.
00:41:33.340 We have seen an increase in illegal immigrants being caught in our stings across the country, and it seems today that we can't do a sting, whether we're in the South or the Midwest or West Coast or East Coast, without catching somebody who's in this country illegally.
00:41:50.200 We cannot do a sting without catching somebody who is in this country illegally.
00:41:56.880 Now, that can mean one of two things.
00:41:59.520 It can either mean that illegal aliens are more likely to solicit minors, or it can mean that there are just so many illegal aliens that statistically you're going to get some pedophiles in the group.
00:42:10.380 Those are the only two things it can mean.
00:42:12.480 Either way, we need to get them out.
00:42:16.400 Either of those are unacceptable.
00:42:17.720 Yeah, we can't do a sting without some illegals showing up.
00:42:21.760 So are they more likely than the native population to solicit kids for sex, or are there just so many of them that you can't throw a rock without hitting an illegal alien?
00:42:30.880 Either way, got to get them out.
00:42:32.780 Now, we are getting them out.
00:42:35.440 The people, there's some critics of Trump on the right who are really understating how many illegals have been shipped out of the country.
00:42:41.600 They're saying, oh, it's 200,000, 300,000.
00:42:43.340 It's just like Obama.
00:42:44.100 First of all, Barack Obama did not actually deport 300,000 to 400,000 illegals a year.
00:42:50.100 They call him the deporter-in-chief.
00:42:51.500 Who is they?
00:42:52.160 To quote Kanye, who is they, though?
00:42:53.660 In this case, it would be liberals who are trying to defend their policy of effectively open borders.
00:42:58.620 Because the 300,000 to 400,000 deportations under Obama were largely just turnaways at the border, and they counted that.
00:43:07.180 But the border is closed right now.
00:43:09.520 So the people who are being deported are actually ISIS going in, arresting these people, shipping them out of the country.
00:43:14.840 The Trump administration last year deported at least 525,000 or so, and probably many, many more.
00:43:20.660 Because we have reports from the various labor department and also from anti-immigration groups that show that self-deportations, because of the rather flamboyant way in which these people are being deported, self-deportations could be well over 1.5 million people.
00:43:34.840 So you could have well over 2 million deportations just last year.
00:43:37.600 But how do we track it?
00:43:39.260 How can we know?
00:43:40.040 Maybe the administration is just trying to puff up its numbers.
00:43:42.980 Maybe Barack Obama really was great.
00:43:44.420 No, you actually, you can track it in a few ways.
00:43:46.480 One, we see that rentals, rental prices declined four months in a row.
00:43:51.760 Why are the rental prices declining?
00:43:53.640 They've been climbing, climbing, climbing.
00:43:55.980 Where is the housing crisis coming from?
00:43:57.800 It's coming from illegals.
00:43:59.240 100% responsible for that in mass migration generally, including legal immigrants.
00:44:03.840 100% responsible for that in California and New York, 60% nationwide.
00:44:07.780 So that would be one sign, wow, people really are leaving the country.
00:44:10.720 Another sign, this is really good stuff.
00:44:12.400 And I'm quoting ABC News here, so not exactly a conservative outlet.
00:44:16.240 U.S. overdose deaths fell through most of 2025, federal data reveal.
00:44:20.240 This suggests a lasting improvement in an epidemic that had been worsening for decades.
00:44:26.460 For decades, wow.
00:44:27.840 So why did it suddenly change?
00:44:30.000 Could it be because all the drugs, all these illicit drugs were coming across the southern border,
00:44:35.880 thanks to the cartels and our foreign adversaries?
00:44:37.940 And then when you cut off the flow of the immigrants, you cut off the flow of the drugs, and then the overdose deaths drop.
00:44:44.620 So by the way, this also reveals that when you cut off supply, demand changes too.
00:44:49.700 Sometimes you hear, especially from the libertarians, well, we just need to fix the demand problem.
00:44:53.380 You know, the real problem isn't these face-tattooed cartels.
00:44:55.620 The real problem is that Americans like cocaine, and sometimes it's laced with fentanyl.
00:44:59.840 No, no, no.
00:45:00.240 I mean, that's a problem to get people to not want to do a bunch of coke.
00:45:02.620 But also, if you cut off supply, demand shrinks also.
00:45:06.720 That's not an excuse to just do nothing on law enforcement.
00:45:09.380 Okay, speaking of drugs and partying and all this stuff, there's one clip I got to get to.
00:45:13.600 I have to get to it today.
00:45:14.900 Anyway, and this is from Clavicular.
00:45:19.620 Remember, Clavicular was on my show.
00:45:21.660 He's this 19-year-old kid who does meth, which I discouraged, but he does it to look thinner.
00:45:27.260 And he takes all sorts of drugs to look better because he's a looks-maxer.
00:45:30.980 And so anyway, Clavicular went out with a number of other kind of edgy, I guess, right-wing live streamers and influencers,
00:45:39.920 including the Tate brothers, Andrew and Tristan Tate, including Justin Waller, who actually was also on Michael Land,
00:45:46.620 including guys like Nick Fuentes and Sneeko, who is another one, Myron Gaines.
00:45:55.460 Anyway, a bunch of these people.
00:45:57.080 And they all went out to a club, and that was it.
00:45:59.660 That was the show.
00:46:00.600 And the reason that I find this politically relevant is because there's a very funny clip of Tristan Tate and Justin Waller
00:46:09.100 being very nice to my former guest, Clavicular, but telling him that he got something wrong.
00:46:14.880 Because in our interview, Clavicular said, I find Gavin Newsom to be sexier than J.D. Vance,
00:46:21.120 and therefore, I am going to vote for Gavin Newsom.
00:46:23.240 And here are these two guys gently correcting this young pup.
00:46:28.480 And I, yeah, I went viral for basically saying,
00:46:32.880 I said I was going to vote for Gavin Newsom because you love J.D. Vance, you know what I mean?
00:46:38.500 I called J.D. Vance a fat subhuman.
00:46:40.380 You see this look on your face?
00:46:42.540 I would advise you that you're wrong.
00:46:45.420 However, you're an American, and I'm an American, so I don't tell other Americans who to vote for it.
00:46:52.840 I never have.
00:46:53.540 You vote for whoever you like.
00:46:55.340 But if Gavin Newsom is running against J.D. Vance, I will be voting for J.D. Vance,
00:46:58.240 and that's my vote, and you can do it and vote with yours.
00:47:00.080 You vote for whoever you like, but I'm voting J.D. Vance.
00:47:02.620 I'm voting for America, and that's probably going to be J.D.
00:47:05.820 So it's like, this is not a hostile interaction, and I'll get very briefly to what this whole kind of show was
00:47:14.760 because it was really going viral on the internet, and I think people are just misunderstanding what this was.
00:47:19.440 But I like this, one of the scenes of this episode of the, you know, edgy right-wing live streamers go to a club.
00:47:27.040 One of the scenes is, hey, did you, are you, you're so, like, edgy and contrarian that you endorsed Gavin Newsom?
00:47:37.040 The guy who said he wants, like, more trans kids and destroyed his whole state and the economy and all that.
00:47:42.320 And he's like, yeah, I did, guys.
00:47:43.920 Isn't that awesome?
00:47:45.060 I'm so contrarian that I said that because I find Gavin Newsom sexier, I'm going to vote for him.
00:47:50.000 And they were like, too far.
00:47:52.300 It's too far.
00:47:53.360 You went, I get, look, it's the internet.
00:47:55.560 We want to be contrarian and edgy.
00:47:56.800 That's a little, don't do that, man.
00:47:58.840 He's like a pro-trans, pro, like, the far left burned his city to the ground, like, destroyed the, you don't want to go that far.
00:48:08.880 Never go so contrarian that you're endorsing Gavin Newsom.
00:48:12.520 That's a bridge too far.
00:48:13.720 I got a real kick out of that from these two guys, Justin Waller and Tristan Tate.
00:48:18.640 But broadly, what is the whole thing?
00:48:19.960 What was this, what was this show?
00:48:22.180 It was a show of all these kind of edgy guys going to a club.
00:48:25.720 And there were these chicks who were there and they're like dancing with them and talking about taking them home and, you know, it's bumping all this music and what, what is this about?
00:48:35.480 I don't think, yeah, I just don't think people really get what it is.
00:48:39.840 Everyone's focusing on the political aspect because some of these guys sometimes talk about politics.
00:48:48.280 This is just reality TV.
00:48:51.140 There's nothing particularly new about this.
00:48:53.900 It's just reality TV.
00:48:55.520 Millennials had the Jersey Shore.
00:48:58.980 Zoomers have whatever this is.
00:49:00.940 Live streaming generally is just the extreme of reality TV.
00:49:04.940 It started with Survivor back in the 90s.
00:49:07.940 And now, then it evolved into the Jersey Shore and Real Housewives.
00:49:12.040 And now it's whatever this thing is.
00:49:14.120 It's just a show.
00:49:15.180 It's just entertainment.
00:49:17.120 And I'm actually pretty impressed with the quality of this because now that politics is really in vogue, unlike, you know, years ago, fashion or music was more the thing.
00:49:27.840 Now it's politics.
00:49:30.060 So now it's like vaguely about politics, but not really.
00:49:33.180 They're not really, they're kind of, you know, like the presidential election comes up as it might on another reality show.
00:49:39.020 But otherwise, the thing I'm really impressed with about this is when they're making the Jersey Shore a survivor, they had months to edit, to cut it, to, you know, had writers on staff that were creating some of the tension.
00:49:52.400 Here, these guys are doing it in real time.
00:49:54.280 I've never watched a whole like live stream.
00:49:56.120 I don't know, I think most of it's probably pretty boring, but it's impressive that they can grab audience and do all of this live in what is reality TV.
00:50:04.020 Reality TV, which is itself an outgrowth of game shows, which is basically the earliest form of television entertainment.
00:50:10.360 As TVs are first emerging in the 1930s and 40s, that's where you get game shows.
00:50:14.260 So that's really what's happening.
00:50:15.560 What the live stream does is just because it's doing it live, because there's no editing really at all when it is live,
00:50:21.520 it's just even further blurring the line between public entertainment and private life.
00:50:27.880 And in some ways, I blame millennials for this.
00:50:29.620 You know, in many ways, we really ramped this up when we all started taking pictures of our lunches when Instagram came around.
00:50:36.380 We all just had to let everyone know about our turkey club that we ordered at brunch or whatever.
00:50:41.600 And so there's something kind of sad about it because, look, you watch it just like you'd watch reality TV, and it can be entertaining, and it's kind of trash TV.
00:50:49.940 But whatever, I watch trash TV.
00:50:51.220 It's fine.
00:50:51.480 I get it.
00:50:52.800 But I hope that people don't emulate it.
00:50:57.260 I'm not even, look, obviously, certain political ideologies, I hope they don't emulate either.
00:51:00.500 But I just mean even the behavior.
00:51:02.260 Like, it seems like everyone's an influencer now, and that's fine.
00:51:08.040 I guess I'm kind of an influencer.
00:51:09.340 But you need a private life.
00:51:12.240 You need a private life to have a good life, to have peace, to flourish, to grow up, to do the things that will allow you to mature and flourish and have a good life.
00:51:21.920 And you can't do that if every second of your life is on camera.
00:51:26.020 That's not fun.
00:51:28.180 It's fun for us to watch the Jersey Shore, to watch people go out to the club, whether it's at the Jersey Shore or whether it's this thing.
00:51:35.040 It's fun for us to watch it.
00:51:37.460 But it's not fun to do it.
00:51:38.920 It's a show.
00:51:39.520 It's a performance.
00:51:41.100 And if you're living all of your life to just perform for others, dare I say even to mog others, like that can be kind of fun in the short term.
00:51:50.440 But if you're living all your life that way, you will have a miserable life.
00:51:53.480 You won't do the things that actually give you satisfaction, which ultimately can only come from the kind of peace that you get when you live your life in its real purpose, the purpose of which is to know God and to serve him here and to be with him for eternity.
00:52:08.180 This reminds me of something St. Thomas Aquinas pointed out, which is the cause of despair.
00:52:16.160 Despair is living without hope.
00:52:17.760 You know, that's as bad as it gets in this world.
00:52:19.220 And despair, he says, comes from two things in particular, sloth especially, but lust as well.
00:52:28.760 Maybe even more frequently lust.
00:52:31.400 Why?
00:52:31.720 Why lust?
00:52:33.080 Because lust especially, you know, I guess tastes, you know, foods and drinks and stuff, but lust especially causes us to focus on sensuous pleasures, the pleasures of the senses, the pleasures of the material world.
00:52:47.400 And to take our eyes off of spiritual goods, which is the only place that we'll find our peace.
00:52:52.820 Because we're beings that have a finite body, but we have a rational soul, which is immaterial.
00:52:58.200 And so if you're only feeding the body, your soul, which is really driving you, is going to fall into despair.
00:53:05.000 That might be the most anyone has thought about the clip of the edgy right-wing streamers going to the club.
00:53:14.460 But I had to touch on it, especially because there was a reference in it to my interview with Mr. Ikeler.
00:53:19.680 Okay.

00:53:26.440 What was it like, Merlin, to be alone with God?
00:53:48.120 Is that who you think I was alone with?
00:53:49.980 Merlin, I knew your father.
00:53:56.660 I am yet convinced that he was not of this world.
00:54:01.760 All men know of the great Taliesin.
00:54:05.140 You are my father.
00:54:06.340 Other gods should war for my soul.
00:54:09.480 Princess Garrus, savior of our people.
00:54:14.940 I know what the bull god offered you.
00:54:17.480 I was offered the same.
00:54:19.520 And?
00:54:19.980 There is a new power at work in the world.
00:54:23.160 I've seen it.
00:54:25.400 A god who sacrifices what he loves for us.
00:54:27.920 We are each given only one life, Singer.
00:54:30.660 No.
00:54:31.820 We're given another.
00:54:35.640 I learnt of Yazoo the Christ.
00:54:37.920 And I have become his follower.
00:54:39.800 He's waiting on a miracle.
00:54:41.320 And I think you can give him one.
00:54:43.340 Trust in Yazoo.
00:54:44.400 He is the only hope for men like us.
00:54:47.300 Vader Britain never rests in the hands of the great light.
00:54:50.080 Great light.
00:54:51.080 Great darkness.
00:54:52.520 Such things mattered to me then.
00:54:54.680 What matters to you now, mistress of lies?
00:54:57.780 You.
00:54:59.840 Nephew.
00:55:01.400 The sword of a high king.
00:55:08.180 How many lives must be lost before you accept the power you were born to wield?
00:55:15.780 Circling to the promises of a god who has abandoned you.
00:55:19.040 I cannot take up that sword again.
00:55:22.220 You know what you must do.
00:55:25.660 Great light, forgive me.
00:55:26.780 The time has come to be reborn.
