Summary

The Canadian truckers are out in droves to protest the government's new vaccine mandate, and they're cheering on the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau. What are the leftist leaders doing in response? Are they applauding the truckers?

Transcript

00:00:00.000 Canadians are some of the nicest, most agreeable, most accommodating people on the planet.
00:00:05.180 But apparently, even America's hat has its limits. Specifically, Canada's truckers,
00:00:11.200 thousands of whom have descended on the nation's capital to protest the country's vaccine mandate
00:00:16.680 and general dissent into a biomedical police state.
00:00:21.480 What a moment in Canadian history here at Parliament Hill.
00:00:26.480 I love you, Canada!
00:00:30.000 No! No!
00:00:35.960 For decades, the international left has enjoined the workers of the world to unite.
00:00:42.280 And now that they are uniting, leftist leaders are terrified, furious, and have even gone into hiding.
00:00:49.720 I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:00:51.280 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday is from Andy Tanner, who says,
00:01:03.520 Neil Young, keep on rockin' in a free world!
00:01:08.240 Also Neil Young, papers please! Show me your papers or else! Shut up that Joe Rogan!
00:01:14.900 Yeah, that's true. That's right. It's because the word free means different things to different people.
00:01:23.080 That's why we're all arguing over what does this word free mean.
00:01:28.540 The libs think that freedom means the ability to shoot up whatever drugs you want and have sex with
00:01:34.940 whoever you want and get free stuff from the government.
00:01:39.480 The sort of libertarians kind of agree with that.
00:01:44.220 They don't agree with the free stuff from the government part, but they agree with the do-whatever-you-want part.
00:01:47.940 And then the conservatives believe that freedom means the freedom from sin, from vice, from degeneracy,
00:01:55.400 from your basest appetites, freedom to have a good community, the freedom to have safety in your neighborhood,
00:02:01.580 the freedom to have flourishing families and a good life.
00:02:04.280 What does free mean?
00:02:06.420 Something tells me Neil Young's definition is not the whole story.
00:02:11.860 You know, Neil Young wrote a famous song called Old Man, where he was going out and he bought a ranch,
00:02:18.480 and he met this old man who had been living on the ranch.
00:02:21.180 He's, old man, take a look at my life.
00:02:23.160 And that's the whole story about buying this ranch.
00:02:25.420 Well, when you want meat from some of the best ranches in America, you really got to check out good ranchers.
00:02:30.760 I really hate being lied to.
00:02:33.020 I'm sure you hate being lied to as well.
00:02:35.420 And did you know that when you go to the grocery store and you buy your meat,
00:02:39.200 you very often see a sticker that says, product of USA.
00:02:41.680 Did you know that 85% of the grass-fed beef in the United States is imported from overseas?
00:02:47.220 Did you know that that product of USA sticker means basically nothing?
00:02:51.560 As long as there's minimal processing here, you can be importing cheap beef from foreign countries,
00:02:57.880 and they'll call it American beef.
00:02:59.340 Don't do it.
00:03:00.240 Don't buy that cheap imported beef that lacks true good American flavor.
00:03:05.160 Check out Good Ranchers.
00:03:06.920 All their steaks are USDA prime and choice graded means the steakhouse can come to your door.
00:03:13.740 I had some delicious ribeyes, not last night, two nights ago, from Good Ranchers.
00:03:19.880 They were absolutely fabulous.
00:03:21.760 Grilled them up to perfection.
00:03:23.960 Right now you can save, this is not a joke, $30 with my code Knolls, K-N-W-L-E-S, at checkout.
00:03:30.540 $30, that's a lot of money off any bucks.
00:03:32.620 Biggest discount they've ever offered.
00:03:33.940 Today is the day to save big on your new favorite steak.
00:03:36.400 They are the exclusive meat company of The Daily Wire for good reason.
00:03:38.940 Go to GoodRanchers.com slash Knolls to save 30 bucks.
00:03:42.380 Make 2022 your most flavorful year yet.
00:03:45.080 Good Ranchers, American meat delivered.
00:03:47.720 The Canadians are really stepping up.
00:03:50.640 This is also related to Neil Young.
00:03:52.540 So Neil Young, a Canadian, is trying to destroy American broadcasting,
00:03:57.240 trying to take down any non-woke broadcaster up at two and including Joe Rogan.
00:04:01.960 But then you've got these other Canadians stepping up and saying,
00:04:04.620 no, we don't want to live in a biomedical security state.
00:04:07.040 You've got thousands of truckers just driving through the streets of the Capitol,
00:04:11.980 now coming to the U.S. border to block up the U.S. border and saying,
00:04:15.060 no, we're not going to take it anymore.
00:04:17.000 You're not going to shut down our churches.
00:04:18.920 You're not going to destroy our communities.
00:04:21.240 You're not going to take away all of our rights.
00:04:23.060 We're not going to do it.
00:04:23.980 We're going to push back.
00:04:26.080 Truckers, the lifeblood of the economy, the workers of the salt of the earth,
00:04:32.460 the blue collar of the blue collar, are uniting and they're exerting their political influence and power,
00:04:39.320 just like the left has been begging them to do for over a century now.
00:04:44.420 And what are the leftist leaders doing in response?
00:04:46.580 Are they applauding?
00:04:47.480 Are they cheering?
00:04:48.360 Are they supporting the truckers?
00:04:49.720 No.
00:04:50.140 The leftist prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, has gone into hiding.
00:04:54.440 Not only has he not shown up for the protest, he's run away.
00:04:57.220 He doesn't want to have to face the mob, the relatively peaceful mob of truckers,
00:05:03.980 the relatively peaceful protest.
00:05:06.560 And so he's gone into hiding.
00:05:08.920 He's issued a statement and he's condemned the protest.
00:05:12.700 I have attended protests and rallies in the past when I agreed with the goals,
00:05:19.040 when I supported the people expressing their concerns and their issues.
00:05:23.400 Black Lives Matter is an excellent example of that.
00:05:25.700 But I have also chosen to not go anywhere near protests that have expressed hateful rhetoric,
00:05:33.420 violence towards fellow citizens, and a disrespect not just of science,
00:05:39.920 but of the frontline health workers and, quite frankly, the 90% of truckers
00:05:44.560 who have been doing the right thing to keep Canadians safe, to put food on our tables.
00:05:51.280 Canadians know where I stand.
00:05:53.080 This is a moment for responsible leaders to think carefully about where they stand.
00:05:58.800 I do not support, I don't do a very good Canadian accent.
00:06:03.940 The only one that I do somewhat well is Jordan Peterson, but that's not the same one as Justin Trudeau.
00:06:09.040 He says, I do not support violence.
00:06:12.820 I do not support hateful rhetoric.
00:06:14.820 I love BLM because they would never get violent, right?
00:06:19.360 They would never burn a country down for eight months.
00:06:21.640 They would never spew just bile.
00:06:24.140 They would never tear down a country's revered figures and statues and firebomb buildings
00:06:29.340 and attack federal courthouses and kill dozens of people.
00:06:31.600 They would never do that.
00:06:32.900 Not BLM.
00:06:33.680 That's why I support BLM.
00:06:35.020 But some nice, generally polite Canadian truckers, them, I cannot support.
00:06:40.220 What Trudeau is showing us is something really basic about the way politics operates.
00:06:47.060 Us versus them.
00:06:50.120 In politics, in all successful political movements, you've got to unite.
00:06:56.780 You've got to have a team, and you've got to support your team, and you've got to show grace to your team members,
00:07:03.740 and you've got to oppose your opponents.
00:07:07.560 This seems basic, right?
00:07:09.300 But we've kind of forgotten that sometimes.
00:07:12.120 This is why conservatives constantly decry double standards.
00:07:15.880 We say, hold on, that leftist media outlet is going softer on the leftist political activists
00:07:21.520 than on the conservative political activists.
00:07:24.600 Right, because they're on the same team.
00:07:26.960 And the conservatives are on the opposite team, which is why they're, this isn't rocket science, guys.
00:07:31.380 This is politics 101.
00:07:34.280 And so, what you're seeing in Canada now is the leftist media, also in America, the leftist media,
00:07:39.960 are saying that these truckers are Nazis, they're hateful, they're violent, they're dangerous,
00:07:44.500 they're all sorts of things.
00:07:45.620 And how do they do it?
00:07:46.400 Well, because they find one guy, one fringe guy, doing something bad,
00:07:52.480 or holding up a symbol that they don't like, or, you know,
00:07:54.880 that's some terrible, far-right extremist, evil symbol,
00:07:58.800 and they'll say, okay, this fringe person is representative of the whole Canadian trucker movement.
00:08:05.840 As far as I can tell, the Canadian truckers haven't killed anybody, have they?
00:08:09.100 BLM killed dozens of people.
00:08:10.540 The Canadian truckers, I don't think they've done that.
00:08:12.580 And yet, the BLM, the Canadian truckers, rather, are hateful, terrible terrorists,
00:08:17.660 they're dangerous, and the BLM are mostly peaceful protests, right?
00:08:21.660 Well, sure, that's a double standard.
00:08:22.880 Why is it a double standard?
00:08:23.900 Justin Trudeau just told you.
00:08:25.340 Yes, well, I'm going to support leftists, and I'm going to oppose conservatives.
00:08:29.920 Oh, okay, I guess we should have known that.
00:08:31.460 Maybe we should, maybe we should order our political movements accordingly.
00:08:35.840 It's not just happening in Canada.
00:08:38.440 The leftist media in America is coming out strongly against the truckers,
00:08:43.620 and they're saying that the truckers and anyone protesting for a return to normal life
00:08:47.480 and freedoms and civil liberties and good communities in Canada,
00:08:52.600 they're basically members of a cult.
00:08:54.920 So, over the weekend, thousands of protesters brought the capital of Canada to a standstill.
00:09:01.780 Dozens of trucks and other vehicles could be seen blocking the downtown area of Ottawa
00:09:07.280 as protesters rallied against vaccine mandates, masks, and lockdowns.
00:09:12.980 That seems like an interesting way to spend your weekend.
00:09:16.420 The demonstrations were initially aimed at pushback against vaccine mandates
00:09:20.480 for truck drivers crossing the U.S.-Canada border.
00:09:23.660 But the movement escalated into an expression of disapproval
00:09:28.340 with the Canadian government's COVID-19 policies.
00:09:31.780 Officials say several investigations are underway into reports of severe vandalism
00:09:37.360 and criminal behavior, including the desecration of national monuments.
00:09:42.280 Where were these protests when people were required to get five vaccines to start school?
00:09:47.880 Where were these protests when people were required to give their children five vaccines?
00:09:53.420 They were in the doctor's office getting vaccines.
00:09:55.440 They were in the doctor's office getting vaccinated.
00:09:57.480 They were making fun of left-wingers on the West Coast.
00:10:00.260 It's a cult.
00:10:03.840 Yes, it is.
00:10:05.260 It's a cult.
00:10:07.300 These people, these truckers who are not blindly following authority are in a cult.
00:10:14.340 These truckers who are thinking for themselves and doing their own research
00:10:19.860 and questioning the ever-changing proclamations of the priests of public health
00:10:25.440 who won't just go along like good little sheep, they're in a cult.
00:10:31.240 Where were they when they were told to get other vaccines?
00:10:35.340 I don't know.
00:10:37.040 They were probably weighing the risks and looking into the history of the vaccines
00:10:40.300 and recognizing that certain vaccines have decades and decades and decades of data behind them.
00:10:45.820 And certain vaccines do what vaccines are supposed to do and prevent you from contracting
00:10:50.600 and spreading certain diseases and viruses.
00:10:53.340 And then some newer vaccines use completely new, basically untested technology with no long-term data
00:10:59.740 that don't do the things that the public health genius has told us they would do.
00:11:03.000 And maybe they're making prudential judgments based on that.
00:11:06.600 Maybe they're using their faculties of reason and not just following the high cult leader, Dr. Fauci.
00:11:11.340 Maybe that's what they're doing.
00:11:13.980 It's a cult.
00:11:15.500 And did you hear what Mika said?
00:11:17.240 Oh, this was bad.
00:11:18.320 I almost, a tear almost dropped from my eye.
00:11:20.560 She said that some of these truckers, there are reports, we don't have any evidence of it,
00:11:24.240 so it probably didn't happen, but there are reports that they were desecrating national monuments.
00:11:33.380 Could you imagine, just imagine, if a leftist movement ever desecrated national monuments?
00:11:41.340 Could you imagine if there were a leftist movement that existed almost entirely to desecrate national monuments
00:11:49.540 and tear down statues and vandalize statues for months and months?
00:11:53.680 Oh, right, that exists.
00:11:54.620 It's called BLM and you people applauded it.
00:11:57.320 You love, you love desecrating national monuments when it's, when it's your guys doing it
00:12:04.280 and when it's monuments that you don't like.
00:12:07.360 It's just, it's just us versus them.
00:12:09.500 That's what this is.
00:12:10.240 It's just, you like it when your friends do it, you don't like it when your enemies do it.
00:12:13.780 And so it raises this question.
00:12:15.800 Who is us and who is them in this situation?
00:12:19.640 We were told for many years that the us of conservatives are the plutocrats and the big fat cats
00:12:25.720 and rich uncle penny bags and all the zillionaires in the corporate class.
00:12:28.960 And the them, the leftists, they're the workers of the world.
00:12:32.020 They're the salt of the earth.
00:12:33.200 They're the, they're labor.
00:12:34.340 But that doesn't seem to be the case.
00:12:36.900 The truckers are a great example here because the truckers are the lifeblood of an economy.
00:12:40.380 And Mika and Joe sipping their Chablis from a high tower in Rockefeller Plaza, they're not exactly the teamsters, are they?
00:12:49.240 What you're seeing here is an historic opportunity for conservatives to be the party of labor,
00:12:56.280 to be the party of the working class.
00:12:57.940 It's happening now.
00:12:58.940 It's there.
00:12:59.660 It's, it's up for us.
00:13:01.040 The left has completely abandoned these people.
00:13:03.080 Will the conservatives step in to fill that gap?
00:13:05.620 We should, it's the right thing to do.
00:13:07.320 And politically, it would be very smart.
00:13:10.480 Now, by the way, when you think of rich uncle penny bags, what do you think?
00:13:15.800 You sometimes think of a guy in a big stroller suit and a nice top hat smoking a cigar.
00:13:20.640 But the crazy thing about cigars is when you think about cigars, you can also think of the blue collar worker,
00:13:24.440 the construction worker puffing on a stogie while doing his job.
00:13:27.540 Cigars are a great equalizer.
00:13:29.340 They're a wonderful social equalizer.
00:13:31.140 They're also the sort of thing you can have by yourself just to unwind,
00:13:34.220 which is why I would strongly recommend you go check out Thompson cigars.
00:13:38.680 Thompson in particular is a great equalizer when it comes to cigars
00:13:42.140 because you can get extremely high quality cigars for insanely low prices.
00:13:48.820 I became a Thompson customer when I was 16 and my mother bought me my first box of cigars.
00:13:53.580 I would shop from them during college.
00:13:55.620 So I'm living on a college student budget, not exactly a Rockefeller.
00:13:59.560 And you can get really, really great smokes for a very low price with Thompson.
00:14:03.680 They've got the biggest brands.
00:14:05.240 In particular, I love, gosh, what?
00:14:08.260 The Davidoffs, of course.
00:14:09.580 The Nat Shermans are wonderful.
00:14:10.820 The Oliva are phenomenal.
00:14:12.340 Bang for buck.
00:14:13.000 You're never going to beat that.
00:14:13.980 Oliva Series O.
00:14:15.160 Just really wonderful cigars.
00:14:16.840 Sit back.
00:14:18.060 Take a break from all the craziness of the cigar from Thompson Cigar Company.
00:14:21.300 These guys rarely do offers.
00:14:22.800 Right now, they're offering our listeners an additional 15% off their already low prices
00:14:28.920 for orders over $75 or 20% off orders over $99.
00:14:32.900 To take advantage of these incredible savings, go to ThompsonCigar.com.
00:14:36.860 Use promo code Knolls when you are ready to check out.
00:14:40.320 That website is Thompson, T-H-O-M-P-S-O-N cigar.com.
00:14:44.580 Use promo code Knolls.
00:14:46.260 Now, we have the opportunity as conservatives to be the party of the working class, to be
00:14:56.720 the party of the ordinary citizen, to be the party not of the global, cosmopolitan, laptop
00:15:05.840 class elite who don't really mind lockdowns because lockdowns don't really affect them
00:15:11.660 and who don't really have any respect for national borders and who don't really have any respect
00:15:15.340 for national traditions.
00:15:17.580 That's the Democrats.
00:15:18.760 That's the left.
00:15:19.960 That's not us.
00:15:21.620 We can be the party of the traditional way of life and good old common sense and prudence
00:15:28.380 if we seize that opportunity.
00:15:29.860 The libs are making it very easy for us.
00:15:32.440 Gavin Newsom.
00:15:33.860 Gavin Newsom, governor of California, just showed up to the L.A. Rams game in L.A.
00:15:40.460 L.A., which has an indoor mask mandate for big events.
00:15:47.800 He goes to the game and what happens?
00:15:50.140 He takes a photo with Magic Johnson, neither of whom are wearing masks.
00:15:56.600 There are other photos of Gavin Newsom from this event.
00:15:58.880 He's sitting, he's chatting, he's having a good time, he's not wearing his mask.
00:16:02.620 And he gets this photo with Magic Johnson, which is even crazier because Magic Johnson,
00:16:06.000 you will know, has AIDS.
00:16:09.140 He's had AIDS for decades.
00:16:11.180 He is as immunocompromised as they get.
00:16:15.260 And yet Magic Johnson's not cowering in fear with the mask.
00:16:18.400 Gavin Newsom's not cowering in fear with the mask.
00:16:20.860 This photo was taken, other photos were taken.
00:16:22.980 Gavin Newsom tried to explain it away.
00:16:25.120 I was very judicious yesterday, very judicious.
00:16:28.900 And you'll see the photo that I did take where Magic was kind enough, generous enough
00:16:34.900 to ask me for a photograph.
00:16:36.640 And in my left hand's the mask and I took a photo.
00:16:39.600 The rest of the time I wore it, as we all should.
00:16:44.360 Not when I had a glass of water or a thing.
00:16:47.360 And I encourage everybody else to do so.
00:16:49.660 And that's it.
00:16:51.740 And that's it.
00:16:52.360 It was just, look, we just took this photo, okay?
00:16:54.460 And it was, we just, we just, and it's fine.
00:16:57.980 It's not a big deal.
00:16:58.440 Except there are other videos.
00:17:00.200 There are videos of them walking up, hugging.
00:17:02.840 It's not just the briefly you take the mask down in between sips, in between bites, take
00:17:07.100 a quick photo.
00:17:07.580 No, they weren't wearing their masks.
00:17:10.480 And Magic, I should say Magic Johnson has HIV.
00:17:12.440 He doesn't have full-blown AIDS.
00:17:13.400 He has HIV.
00:17:15.420 Pretty immunocompromised, okay?
00:17:18.140 It's quite immunocompromised.
00:17:20.680 That's the word, that was the word of 2020, immunocompromised.
00:17:23.480 No one had ever used that word before.
00:17:24.740 Now everybody uses that word.
00:17:26.200 Except the most immunocompromised people, not so worried about it.
00:17:33.620 What's that about?
00:17:35.700 I am beginning to think that what most protects people from COVID-19 is not masks.
00:17:44.620 Again, I'm not making a medical claim about masks or vaccines or whatever.
00:17:47.440 Please, YouTube, don't.
00:17:48.360 Please, YouTube, don't take me down, okay?
00:17:50.560 I'm just saying what most protects people from COVID-19.
00:17:53.520 It's not the masks and it's not the vaccines.
00:17:59.060 I think what it is, is money and power.
00:18:03.600 Because there's just an observation I've made.
00:18:07.440 Really rich, really powerful people, they don't follow any of the public health measures
00:18:15.980 that they encourage other people to follow.
00:18:18.160 I'm thinking of people like the mayor of San Francisco.
00:18:22.040 I'm thinking of people like the mayor of New York.
00:18:24.820 I'm thinking of people like Joe Biden.
00:18:27.040 I'm thinking of people like Dr. Fauci.
00:18:28.420 I'm thinking of all of these people.
00:18:31.840 They don't, but they're, the one thing they have in common is they're really rich and they're
00:18:35.040 really powerful.
00:18:36.380 And they want you to live according to a set of rules that they themselves will not follow.
00:18:42.440 Hmm.
00:18:42.800 I guess we all just need to become really rich and powerful and then we won't catch COVID either.
00:18:46.180 Or maybe there's something else going on.
00:18:48.600 Maybe a lot of this COVID regime that we're living under is not so much about the virus
00:18:55.180 and it's not so much about the health and the cough and the chills.
00:18:59.540 Maybe it's a little bit more about reshaping the political order.
00:19:03.160 You know, speaking of money and power, there is one name that you're not allowed to say in
00:19:07.680 politics.
00:19:08.600 Do you know whose name that is?
00:19:11.600 I'm with George Soros.
00:19:13.700 You're going to talk about, you might be kicked off of social media.
00:19:17.380 You're not allowed to say George Soros because if you mention the name George Soros, you are
00:19:23.460 an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist.
00:19:26.200 If you just even say the name.
00:19:28.780 Because some conservatives have previously observed that George Soros is a huge funder
00:19:33.860 of very far left-wing causes and a huge funder of Democrat politicians and that he's exerting
00:19:40.080 a lot of his influence to destroy our country.
00:19:42.760 But you see, George Soros is Jewish.
00:19:45.640 And so if you ever mention that, you're an anti-Semite and you're a conspiracy theorist
00:19:51.780 too.
00:19:52.000 Because I guess George Soros doesn't really give any money.
00:19:53.740 It's a total boogeyman.
00:19:54.700 It doesn't.
00:19:55.180 Oh, wait a second.
00:19:55.820 We've got federal documents here from the election commission showing that George Soros
00:20:03.080 has donated just a year to date, just to one super PAC, $125 million.
00:20:11.920 That's a lot of money.
00:20:14.060 $125 million.
00:20:15.300 I'm seeing it just a year to date, just to one super PAC to promote left-wing causes.
00:20:21.080 But I thought that was a racist conspiracy theory.
00:20:23.700 I am now pretty convinced that when the liberal establishment calls something a racist conspiracy
00:20:30.520 theory, you can be almost certain, almost, not 100%, but almost certain that that observation
00:20:36.920 is true.
00:20:38.020 Because racist, for the left, racist doesn't really mean racist.
00:20:43.540 Well, they've changed the definition of racist.
00:20:45.340 The Anti-Defamation League changed the definition just within the past few weeks from hating people
00:20:53.360 based on their race to only something that white people can do against non-white people.
00:20:59.700 So they changed the definition frequently.
00:21:01.380 But it really doesn't even have that much to do with race, racism.
00:21:06.020 What racism means in the modern leftist parlance is bad.
00:21:11.600 Just bad.
00:21:12.380 If you're a racist, if I say you're a racist, all that means is you're bad.
00:21:15.740 Really, all it means is I don't like you because the left doesn't even generally believe in
00:21:22.400 objective truth.
00:21:23.200 They just believe that politics is a system of interests.
00:21:26.340 We're all just trying to club each other on the head and there's no logic or transcendent
00:21:29.520 moral order.
00:21:30.060 So it just means I don't like you.
00:21:32.280 Okay.
00:21:32.460 So that's what racist.
00:21:33.180 And then conspiracy theory in modern leftist parlance means something that will be proven
00:21:38.400 true in nine months.
00:21:39.280 So something I don't like that will be proven true in nine months is what they're talking
00:21:45.640 about.
00:21:45.960 And that would seem to be the case when we're talking about the influence of someone like
00:21:50.320 George Soros, when we're talking about the origins of COVID, when we're talking about
00:21:54.700 the effectiveness of mitigation measures, when we're talking about on and on and on and
00:21:59.140 on.
00:22:00.880 But that's a lot of power.
00:22:02.840 125 million bucks from just one guy just year to date to just one super PAC.
00:22:06.240 That's a lot of power.
00:22:07.000 And this is the left exerting this power through all of the institutions.
00:22:11.560 And they are all coming down right now on one man, on one pot smoking, DMT chomping.
00:22:20.340 I don't really know how you take DMT.
00:22:23.300 Wrestling, UFC watching broadcaster named Joe Rogan.
00:22:30.120 Joe Rogan is persona non grata.
00:22:33.720 He is public enemy number one for the left because he is giving a big platform to dissenting
00:22:40.220 opinions.
00:22:42.200 Neil Young tried to get him canceled.
00:22:44.120 Joni Mitchell tried to get him canceled.
00:22:45.620 A bunch of other even less well-known musicians tried to get him canceled.
00:22:49.360 Hasn't quite worked, but now he's feeling the pressure.
00:22:52.640 And Joe sort of backtracked a little bit.
00:22:57.140 The problem I have with the term misinformation, especially today, is that many of the things
00:23:02.720 that we thought of as misinformation just a short while ago are now accepted as fact.
00:23:07.480 Like, for instance, eight months ago, if you said, if you get vaccinated, you can still
00:23:12.720 catch COVID and you can still spread COVID.
00:23:15.620 You would be removed from social media.
00:23:17.640 They would ban you from certain platforms.
00:23:19.580 Now, that's accepted as fact.
00:23:22.660 If you said, I don't think cloth masks work, you would be banned from social media.
00:23:28.820 Now, that's openly and repeatedly stated on CNN.
00:23:32.500 All of those theories that at one point in time were banned were openly discussed by those
00:23:38.240 two men that I had on my podcast that have been accused of dangerous misinformation.
00:23:41.840 One of the things that Spotify wants to do that I agree with is that at the beginning of these
00:23:47.120 controversial podcasts, like specifically ones about COVID, is to put a disclaimer and say that
00:23:53.020 you should speak with your physician and that these people and the opinions that they express
00:23:57.720 are contrary to the opinions of the consensus of experts, which I think is very important.
00:24:04.560 Sure, have that on there.
00:24:05.700 I'm very happy with that.
00:24:06.740 Um, also, I think, uh, if there's anything that I've done that I could do better is, uh,
00:24:13.540 have more experts with differing opinions right after I have the controversial ones.
00:24:19.360 Uh, I would most certainly be open to doing that.
00:24:22.800 It's unfortunate that Joe is in this position.
00:24:25.340 I can't even imagine the pressure he's getting.
00:24:27.480 I'm not going to pile on him for this backtrack.
00:24:30.180 I think this backtrack, depending on what happens now, this actually could be tactically pretty
00:24:35.040 smart.
00:24:35.420 It's too bad that he gave in on the disclaimer.
00:24:38.820 He probably shouldn't have done that.
00:24:40.000 Or if he did, he should have had disclaimers on the other shows presenting the liberal viewpoint
00:24:44.100 on COVID too.
00:24:46.040 But depending on what happens now, this could either be the smartest thing the man's ever
00:24:50.140 done or the dumbest thing the man's ever done.
00:24:52.180 Don't forget Joe Rogan's genius, his magic power is that he's talking to a huge swath of
00:24:58.520 Americans, not just right-wing conservatives, probably not even all that many relatively right-wing
00:25:03.060 conservatives.
00:25:03.440 A lot of people in the middle, a lot of people on the left, the guy was a Bernie bro.
00:25:06.760 If he can bring them over, if he can expose them to thought that is contrary to the leftist
00:25:13.500 orthodoxy, that's great.
00:25:15.560 And in the way he's going to do that is he's going to have to maintain his platform, calm
00:25:19.040 everyone down.
00:25:19.620 And that's kind of what he's doing.
00:25:20.560 You're saying, look, guys, calm.
00:25:21.780 Look, uh, everything that my guys said on this show was totally right and they're extremely
00:25:26.500 credentialed and they're great and they're awesome.
00:25:28.180 But sure, maybe we'll bring some balance.
00:25:30.120 I'm the balance guy.
00:25:31.040 Don't worry.
00:25:31.620 It's all good.
00:25:32.360 Hey, let's calm down.
00:25:33.700 Be cool.
00:25:34.340 Keep calm and carry on.
00:25:35.660 Could be actually a pretty brilliant way to handle it.
00:25:39.380 When you're feeling calm, when you're feeling cool, when you want to kick back a little bit,
00:25:43.740 I would strongly recommend you check out Helix.

00:25:50.060 Maybe you do.
00:25:51.260 I don't know.
00:25:52.180 Probably, though, you wouldn't want to do it every single night.
00:25:54.160 You want to sleep in your bed.

00:26:51.740 Also, tonight, 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central, Candace Owens sits down with Dr. Robert Malone
00:26:56.880 in an exclusive two-part interview airing tonight and tomorrow.
00:27:00.400 Neil Young is going to be furious about this.
00:27:02.880 I want that Candace canceled.
00:27:04.980 I'm pulling my music from the Daily Wire.
00:27:08.600 Neil, we don't have your...
00:27:09.680 I'm doing it.
00:27:10.680 Don't you stop.
00:27:11.800 So after all hell broke loose with the Dr. Malone interview on Rogan, Candace decided
00:27:16.720 that she wanted to make sure that all voices are heard.
00:27:19.380 Take a listen.
00:27:19.820 In order to evaluate any vaccine, you want to hear both sides of an argument.
00:27:24.980 All media and information that we are currently encountering is manipulated.
00:27:30.080 I want to jump in and talk about when your interview with Joe Rogan started going viral.
00:27:34.440 Not only was Google triggered, a whole range of legacy media were triggered.
00:27:39.580 It's an entire ecosystem of illegality and corruption.
00:27:43.800 You should be, and you are appropriately, outraged about this.
00:27:48.040 You can judge the value of a society by how it treats its children.
00:27:52.060 Our treatment of our children has been atrocious.
00:27:55.100 This is the red line, right?
00:27:56.640 This is the line.
00:27:57.820 What is it that drives you to keep going toward truth?
00:28:00.800 I've been given the gift that I might be able to make a positive impact.
00:28:05.220 How can I walk away from that?
00:28:13.800 You can watch both parts of this interview exclusively at dailywire.com.
00:28:18.280 Part one airs tonight at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central,
00:28:20.840 and part two will premiere tomorrow at the same time.
00:28:23.720 If you don't already have a Daily Wire membership,
00:28:25.600 head on over to dailywire.com slash subscribe right now.
00:28:28.840 Use code SCIENCE for 25% off.
00:28:31.100 You're not going to want to miss this.
00:28:32.520 Code SCIENCE.
00:28:33.280 We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:28:34.440 Welcome back to the show.
00:28:49.000 Joe Rogan is going to keep calm and carry on.
00:28:51.440 Do you know who can't keep calm?
00:28:53.120 Our president.
00:28:54.440 Our president is having huge mood swings.
00:28:58.660 He's mumbling to himself, rambling incoherently,
00:29:01.580 and then he'll just start shouting, really, and he'll do this.
00:29:04.240 Come on, man.
00:29:05.400 So Joe Biden, not Joe Rogan, Joe Biden,
00:29:08.360 was just giving a speech up in Pennsylvania about infrastructure,
00:29:11.500 and out of nowhere, he starts screaming at the crowd.
00:29:14.300 Imagine being the parent,
00:29:17.120 making the minimum wage or twice the minimum wage,
00:29:21.120 and having a child with type 1 diabetes,
00:29:24.540 knowing that if you can't and have no insurance,
00:29:27.700 knowing if you cannot get that money for the insulin,
00:29:32.920 your child may die.
00:29:35.960 In addition to your child,
00:29:38.220 it strips you of your dignity, damn it.
00:29:41.460 Can you imagine looking at your child
00:29:43.120 and you know what they need
00:29:47.980 and not be able to do it?
00:29:55.760 Many of you have lost children.
00:29:58.500 Many of you have seen.
00:30:00.780 Imagine.
00:30:03.740 It's outrageous.
00:30:06.040 What is he talking about?
00:30:07.300 What does this have to do with infrastructure?
00:30:09.520 This isn't working.
00:30:11.700 I'm not just saying that because I don't like Joe Biden
00:30:13.920 and I'm on the other side of the political aisle.
00:30:15.520 Look at any of the polls.
00:30:16.480 None of this is working.
00:30:17.680 The guy's poll numbers are completely collapsing.
00:30:19.680 He's below water on every single issue.
00:30:22.180 This isn't working.
00:30:24.280 Why?
00:30:24.840 In part, it's because Joe Biden is too old.
00:30:30.220 Yes, the thing he's describing is bad.
00:30:32.220 Although, it's kind of weird the way he described it.
00:30:35.060 He said he was calm for the part about
00:30:37.100 and your child might die.
00:30:39.040 But then he got really angry and animated
00:30:40.960 for the part about you might feel undignified.
00:30:44.180 Hold on.
00:30:45.560 If you're going to get angry about anything,
00:30:46.860 get angry about your child is going to die.
00:30:48.260 Not about...
00:30:48.800 Anyway, it's because he's losing his political touch.
00:30:51.500 And the reason this isn't working
00:30:52.940 is because Joe has been around forever.
00:30:55.480 So the problems that he's describing
00:30:57.180 are problems that he probably should have tried to fix
00:30:59.660 sometime in his 50 plus year political career
00:31:03.260 at the national level of politics.
00:31:05.900 When he was vice president of the United States.
00:31:08.480 When he was senior senator for so long.
00:31:12.400 Why didn't he fix any of this then?
00:31:15.440 You can't be the outsider saying,
00:31:18.100 look at how terrible everything is.
00:31:19.200 Buddy, you've been running the country for half a century.
00:31:22.560 You've played a significant role
00:31:24.080 in running the country for half a century.
00:31:25.580 So if everything's still screwed up, that's on you.
00:31:29.280 That's your...
00:31:30.360 You've been there.
00:31:31.680 You've been in that place.
00:31:32.800 Remember when Joe Biden and Barack Obama
00:31:35.480 were supposed to fix America's healthcare system?
00:31:37.280 They were going to pass Obamacare
00:31:38.440 and all the healthcare problems were going to go away.
00:31:40.340 And Joe Biden at the signing ceremony for Obamacare
00:31:44.720 was caught on a hot mic saying,
00:31:46.400 this is a big effing deal.
00:31:48.220 This is a big...
00:31:48.720 Well, if it was such a big effing deal,
00:31:50.340 how come all the same problems still exist?
00:31:52.780 Because your policies failed.
00:31:55.080 They didn't do the thing you're supposed to do.
00:31:56.980 And so you can scream and yell at the audience
00:31:58.660 until you're blue in the face,
00:31:59.600 but no one believes you anymore.
00:32:01.620 Because you're not...
00:32:02.680 You haven't done any of the things
00:32:04.140 that you've been complaining about.
00:32:05.660 It's getting much harder for the Democrats to say
00:32:10.800 that everything's going to get a lot worse
00:32:12.780 if the Republicans win,
00:32:13.900 that the whole world is going to get a lot worse
00:32:15.380 if the Republicans win.
00:32:16.180 They're trying to do it,
00:32:17.320 but it just seems ludicrous.
00:32:19.060 There was an MSNBC contributor, Malcolm Nance,
00:32:21.900 who just claimed that if the GOP
00:32:24.760 wins the House back in the midterm elections,
00:32:29.040 then the American experiment is over.
00:32:33.000 Putin may have started this as a test, right?
00:32:36.400 To see if Joe Biden would fold almost immediately.
00:32:40.140 You have to see another thing.
00:32:41.940 Putin also understands the opportunity
00:32:44.560 of having a Republican,
00:32:47.660 you know, giving the Republicans ammunition
00:32:50.160 to topple the American government this November.
00:32:53.280 And I don't say that lightly.
00:32:55.980 If the Republicans win power this November,
00:32:58.980 that's it.
00:32:59.720 The American experiment is over.
00:33:01.920 It is the basis for autocracy.
00:33:04.340 You know, they'll follow through with their threat
00:33:05.940 to make Trump Speaker of the House
00:33:07.460 and use that as a springboard to make him president,
00:33:09.920 and then there will never be another free
00:33:12.380 or fair election in the United States.
00:33:14.840 Putin understands that.
00:33:16.320 By giving Biden this crisis,
00:33:18.440 he gets the Republicans like Tucker Carlson
00:33:22.220 and all of these other people
00:33:23.740 who is acting as a propagandist for Putin.
00:33:29.300 There are a lot of problems
00:33:31.000 with what Malcolm Nance just said.
00:33:32.860 First is the historical fact
00:33:34.840 that Democrats have always gone much softer on Russia
00:33:39.620 than the Republicans have.
00:33:41.520 The Democrats made up this whole thing
00:33:43.860 about colluding with the Russians
00:33:45.220 during the Trump administration,
00:33:46.740 but it was just completely made up.
00:33:48.500 It was cooked up by Democrat political operatives
00:33:50.380 and the deep state.
00:33:51.420 It wasn't real.
00:33:52.200 It went nowhere.
00:33:53.260 The Mueller investigation,
00:33:54.540 it's Mueller time, remember that?
00:33:55.800 It went nowhere.
00:33:56.720 It was completely fake.
00:33:58.420 Here's my evidence to you.
00:34:00.660 Republican President George Bush,
00:34:03.300 Vladimir Putin tries to invade
00:34:05.540 the sovereign country of Georgia.
00:34:08.540 Bush says no, Putin backs off.
00:34:12.880 Barack Obama, Democrat President,
00:34:14.840 Putin invades Crimea,
00:34:16.820 a region of Ukraine.
00:34:18.500 Obama says, okay, well, all right,
00:34:20.340 but now listen, Vlad, don't go any further.
00:34:22.120 No, no, come on now.
00:34:23.060 All right.
00:34:23.420 And so Vladimir Putin keeps Crimea.
00:34:26.240 The Democrat allowed Putin
00:34:27.840 to conquer part of his neighbor.
00:34:29.860 Then Donald Trump,
00:34:32.100 Vladimir Putin,
00:34:32.700 he didn't just stop wanting land
00:34:34.600 all around the world.
00:34:35.300 He just didn't invade countries anymore
00:34:37.740 because he knew that Trump
00:34:38.820 would blow him to smithereens.
00:34:40.880 Then Joe Biden comes in.
00:34:42.180 What happens?
00:34:43.560 Vladimir Putin is planning
00:34:44.480 an invasion of Ukraine
00:34:45.440 and it is already sort of underway
00:34:49.520 on the Ukrainian border.
00:34:51.580 So which party is weaker on Russia?
00:34:54.040 The Republicans who don't let
00:34:56.040 Putin invade his neighbors
00:34:57.320 or the Democrats who always
00:34:59.400 let Putin invade his neighbors?
00:35:00.800 Obviously the latter.
00:35:02.520 But then consider the ridiculous point
00:35:04.420 he's making for domestic politics.
00:35:06.560 Malcolm Nance from MSNBC.
00:35:08.440 He says,
00:35:09.960 he says,
00:35:11.820 if the opposition party
00:35:13.520 ever wins any election,
00:35:16.620 that's autocracy.
00:35:19.260 So if the current ruling party
00:35:22.620 never loses elections ever again,
00:35:26.060 that's democracy.
00:35:27.900 And if the people can elect
00:35:30.100 a different party,
00:35:31.460 that's autocracy.
00:35:33.820 That of course would be
00:35:35.600 the opposite of reality.
00:35:38.440 But this is what they believe.
00:35:40.200 I don't even think
00:35:41.000 he's being disingenuous here.
00:35:42.640 Because when they say democracy,
00:35:44.040 they don't really mean democracy.
00:35:45.820 They mean liberalism.
00:35:46.900 They mean progressivism.
00:35:48.300 They mean leftism.
00:35:49.300 But they don't mean democracy.
00:35:51.540 This is why
00:35:52.580 when conservative
00:35:55.620 candidates win elections
00:35:58.040 in the United States,
00:35:59.280 in Poland,
00:36:00.040 in Hungary,
00:36:00.620 in Brazil,
00:36:01.460 wherever,
00:36:02.820 that's always a threat
00:36:03.900 to democracy.
00:36:04.700 And you'll see it
00:36:05.060 on the headlines.
00:36:06.800 Conservative candidate
00:36:07.720 wins in Poland.
00:36:09.500 Polish democracy under threat.
00:36:11.060 The New York Times
00:36:11.520 were just writing about that.
00:36:12.580 Polish democracy is under threat
00:36:13.800 because the people
00:36:14.640 elected a non-liberal.
00:36:16.840 So democracy,
00:36:17.620 well,
00:36:17.860 if the people elected him,
00:36:19.700 by definition,
00:36:20.900 that is democratic.
00:36:22.460 But liberalism is,
00:36:23.740 is generally
00:36:24.580 quite anti-democratic.
00:36:26.200 And progressivism
00:36:27.060 is very anti-democratic
00:36:28.340 because they believe
00:36:29.640 that there is
00:36:30.160 a science of history,
00:36:31.560 a science of politics,
00:36:32.540 that they can know
00:36:33.720 basically with certainty.
00:36:35.580 And so they're going
00:36:36.600 to progress to that point.
00:36:37.780 And if you stand
00:36:38.320 in the way of that,
00:36:39.580 then that's a big problem.
00:36:41.800 And so what they're going
00:36:42.400 to do is create
00:36:43.040 a lot of anti-democratic
00:36:44.220 institutions
00:36:45.080 like the administrative state,
00:36:47.300 like various
00:36:48.240 technocratic czars,
00:36:49.560 and they're going
00:36:50.180 to run our lives for us.
00:36:51.180 Dr. Fauci is going
00:36:51.820 to run our lives for us.
00:36:52.840 And he's going to make
00:36:53.480 our life much more progressive
00:36:54.580 and much more left-wing
00:36:56.040 and much more liberal
00:36:57.540 and not very democratic.
00:36:59.860 But that's fine
00:37:00.580 because he knows
00:37:01.120 what's best.
00:37:02.540 The opposite of reality.
00:37:05.080 You want to talk
00:37:05.760 about autocracy
00:37:06.440 and democracy
00:37:07.540 and conspiracy theories.
00:37:10.860 Pennsylvania court,
00:37:11.800 Pennsylvania state court
00:37:12.580 just admitted
00:37:13.400 something that
00:37:15.900 conservatives knew
00:37:17.140 for a very long time.
00:37:18.340 Namely,
00:37:18.840 the Democrats cheated
00:37:19.960 in the 2020 election
00:37:21.020 in Pennsylvania.
00:37:21.880 They cheated.
00:37:22.640 It's plain as day.
00:37:24.080 The state constitution
00:37:25.160 in Pennsylvania says
00:37:26.040 you can't have
00:37:26.740 widespread mail-in ballots.
00:37:28.660 The Democrats
00:37:29.460 passed a law
00:37:30.920 anyway,
00:37:32.540 saying you're going
00:37:33.600 to have widespread
00:37:34.220 mail-in ballots.
00:37:36.080 This was challenged.
00:37:38.420 It was allowed
00:37:39.360 to stand
00:37:39.960 during the election
00:37:40.860 because of COVID,
00:37:41.820 because of the emergency,
00:37:42.860 you can violate
00:37:43.360 the constitution.
00:37:44.900 Then Joe Biden
00:37:45.860 got 50 bazillion votes
00:37:47.360 or whatever
00:37:47.760 in Pennsylvania,
00:37:48.400 the most votes ever
00:37:49.480 of any person
00:37:50.180 in the history of voting.
00:37:51.340 And then the state court
00:37:52.960 admits,
00:37:53.580 oh, wait a second,
00:37:54.220 it actually is
00:37:55.180 unconstitutional.
00:37:57.540 New York Times
00:37:58.420 writing about this.
00:37:59.160 I love the way
00:37:59.860 the New York Times
00:38:00.580 writes about this.
00:38:03.740 Pennsylvania courts
00:38:04.620 says states'
00:38:05.860 mail voting law
00:38:06.560 is unconstitutional.
00:38:09.800 First line,
00:38:10.880 this is the very
00:38:11.680 first sentence
00:38:12.980 of the article.
00:38:14.340 A state court
00:38:14.780 in Pennsylvania
00:38:15.180 on Friday
00:38:15.580 struck down
00:38:16.200 the state's
00:38:16.640 landmark election law
00:38:17.480 is unconstitutional,
00:38:18.760 dealing a temporary blow
00:38:20.500 to voting access
00:38:21.980 in one of the nation's
00:38:22.860 most critical
00:38:23.400 battleground states.
00:38:24.400 A temporary blow.
00:38:27.560 What do you mean
00:38:27.880 a temporary blow?
00:38:29.020 The court said
00:38:29.680 it's unconstitutional.
00:38:31.680 Yeah, but don't worry,
00:38:32.780 we'll get around the court.
00:38:34.500 Yeah, whatever,
00:38:35.500 court schmort.
00:38:36.780 Yeah, it's temporary.
00:38:37.560 Don't worry,
00:38:38.120 we're going to get
00:38:38.680 what we want.
00:38:39.880 Constitution be damned.
00:38:42.380 It's so brazen.
00:38:44.440 It's so confident.
00:38:46.100 It's so bold to say,
00:38:48.180 yeah, whatever
00:38:48.520 that idiot judge said,
00:38:49.660 it's temporary.
00:38:50.520 We'll fix it.
00:38:51.800 Don't worry,
00:38:52.240 we're going to run
00:38:53.640 these elections
00:38:54.320 however we want
00:38:56.100 and you can hold up
00:38:57.560 my constitution
00:38:58.380 and that's great,
00:38:59.280 good for you,
00:39:00.040 but we've got the power,
00:39:02.060 we've got the vision,
00:39:04.100 we've got the zeal
00:39:04.900 and we're going to do it.
00:39:06.440 That's what they're saying.
00:39:08.340 So anti-democratic,
00:39:10.180 so offensive
00:39:11.020 to ordinary people,
00:39:13.340 so offensive
00:39:13.820 to the Pennsylvania public,
00:39:16.640 to the American people
00:39:17.500 who just want to
00:39:18.400 have some say
00:39:19.520 in their government.
00:39:20.120 This is a great opportunity
00:39:22.860 for conservatives
00:39:23.860 to rework
00:39:26.860 the way that our political
00:39:28.660 coalitions are set up.
00:39:32.240 The Democrats
00:39:33.180 are now telling us
00:39:34.040 we don't care
00:39:34.600 what the people want,
00:39:35.920 we're going to force them
00:39:36.740 to do what we tell them to do
00:39:38.720 and we're not even going
00:39:39.280 to follow our own rules.
00:39:41.280 It's as elitist
00:39:42.320 as it gets,
00:39:44.300 as hypocritical
00:39:45.260 as it gets
00:39:45.880 and you got the truckers
00:39:47.980 siding with the conservatives.
00:39:50.480 You've got parents
00:39:51.700 right now
00:39:52.520 siding with the conservatives.
00:39:54.880 You've got,
00:39:55.340 when you look at
00:39:55.820 the racial demographics,
00:39:56.960 they're breaking
00:39:57.520 quite significantly
00:39:58.420 for conservatives
00:39:59.260 or in the direction
00:40:01.000 rather of conservatives.
00:40:02.700 So you saw
00:40:03.680 a little bit of movement
00:40:04.320 with the black vote.
00:40:05.000 You're seeing huge movement
00:40:05.940 right now
00:40:06.440 with the Hispanic vote.
00:40:08.500 You're seeing big movement
00:40:09.400 with the suburban,
00:40:10.360 it just means white,
00:40:11.180 white middle class women
00:40:12.500 in the suburbs.
00:40:13.800 They're breaking
00:40:14.600 in the direction
00:40:16.240 of conservatives.
00:40:16.900 We've got to seize
00:40:17.320 this opportunity
00:40:18.040 but if you really
00:40:19.240 want to seize
00:40:19.680 this opportunity,
00:40:20.260 you can't just recite
00:40:22.040 the same stupid platitudes
00:40:23.320 of the last 20 years
00:40:24.460 of so-called conservatism.
00:40:26.080 You're going to need
00:40:26.640 to actually rethink things.
00:40:28.800 You're not just going
00:40:29.580 to hoodwink
00:40:30.380 huge demographics
00:40:32.080 of people
00:40:32.520 to come over
00:40:33.240 to your side
00:40:33.860 if your policies
00:40:34.760 will not actually
00:40:35.360 benefit them
00:40:35.980 and if you're,
00:40:38.140 you don't really
00:40:39.740 consider them
00:40:40.240 to be your base,
00:40:41.220 your constituency.
00:40:42.000 So this is an issue
00:40:44.540 right now
00:40:44.880 that Senator Ron Johnson
00:40:45.960 is trying to work through.
00:40:47.280 Senator Ron Johnson,
00:40:48.140 Republican senator,
00:40:49.740 perfectly fine fella.
00:40:50.860 I'm not really attacking
00:40:52.240 Senator Johnson
00:40:53.020 but he was just asked
00:40:54.680 a question
00:40:55.180 by a member of the press
00:40:56.340 and his answer,
00:40:57.420 I think,
00:40:57.720 expresses
00:40:58.200 some of the soul searching
00:41:00.200 that the GOP
00:41:01.420 is going to have to do
00:41:02.120 right now,
00:41:02.560 specifically
00:41:02.980 on the issue
00:41:04.100 of family policy.
00:41:06.140 People decide
00:41:07.020 to have families
00:41:07.980 and become parents.
00:41:09.560 that's something
00:41:11.080 they need to consider
00:41:13.720 when they make that choice.
00:41:16.760 I've never really felt
00:41:17.920 it was society's
00:41:19.080 responsibility
00:41:21.020 to take care
00:41:22.920 of other people's children.
00:41:25.020 Okay, so
00:41:25.800 Senator Johnson,
00:41:27.560 perhaps he can be forgiven.
00:41:28.980 He is a Republican
00:41:30.080 who came up
00:41:30.960 in a different age
00:41:32.020 with different talking points
00:41:34.980 and different platitudes
00:41:35.880 and very often
00:41:37.080 politicians are beholden
00:41:38.360 to the years
00:41:39.740 they first got elected.
00:41:41.140 Okay,
00:41:42.020 but that answer
00:41:43.060 is not going to work.
00:41:43.940 What he's saying
00:41:44.320 is the government
00:41:44.820 has no role
00:41:45.560 in encouraging families.
00:41:47.180 That's for culture.
00:41:48.620 That's for civil society.
00:41:50.240 That's not,
00:41:50.940 that's for the private sphere.
00:41:51.920 That's not for the public sphere.
00:41:52.940 That's not for the government.
00:41:54.540 You know, Buster,
00:41:56.480 government played a role
00:41:58.160 in the problem
00:41:59.280 in the first place.
00:42:00.860 When government
00:42:01.720 signed trade deals
00:42:02.960 that gutted
00:42:04.460 whole industries
00:42:05.420 and whole communities
00:42:06.660 and whole classes
00:42:07.660 of people.
00:42:09.320 That had an effect
00:42:10.560 on family policy.
00:42:12.220 When the government
00:42:12.860 came in
00:42:13.500 and made divorce
00:42:16.360 much easier,
00:42:17.620 that gutted families.
00:42:19.780 When the government
00:42:20.940 came in
00:42:21.740 and changed regulations
00:42:23.520 around
00:42:24.900 contraception,
00:42:27.140 adoption,
00:42:28.620 around the economy even,
00:42:30.400 that had an effect
00:42:31.820 on families.
00:42:34.500 When the government
00:42:35.660 came in
00:42:36.360 and took away
00:42:38.320 virtually any impediment
00:42:40.060 to mass migration
00:42:41.300 in America
00:42:41.900 and crushed the wages,
00:42:43.900 particularly of the
00:42:44.720 working class,
00:42:45.720 that had an effect
00:42:46.900 on family formation.
00:42:48.160 It's a lot harder
00:42:48.660 to raise a family then.
00:42:50.180 That was government.
00:42:51.160 That wasn't
00:42:52.000 the culture.
00:42:52.820 That wasn't
00:42:53.240 the civil society.
00:42:54.280 That wasn't just,
00:42:55.320 you know,
00:42:55.520 we've got to go
00:42:56.060 change hearts and minds.
00:42:57.060 That was the government
00:42:57.700 that did that
00:42:58.160 with laws
00:42:58.780 and court decisions
00:43:00.080 and executive orders
00:43:03.080 and treaties
00:43:03.760 and maybe the government
00:43:04.720 needs to fix
00:43:05.400 some of those problems too.
00:43:07.760 Obviously,
00:43:09.680 the basic role
00:43:10.680 of government
00:43:11.180 is do good stuff
00:43:12.280 and avoid bad stuff.
00:43:14.100 That's,
00:43:14.640 at the most basic level,
00:43:16.760 that's what politics
00:43:17.420 exists for, okay?
00:43:18.600 And anyone who tells you
00:43:19.540 otherwise is just
00:43:20.740 putting lipstick
00:43:22.260 on a pig here
00:43:23.360 or they're trying
00:43:23.860 to gussy up something
00:43:24.700 that's a plain fact.
00:43:26.080 We want more good.
00:43:27.720 I guess it's not
00:43:28.340 it's not piggish to say
00:43:29.760 we want good stuff
00:43:30.760 we don't want bad stuff
00:43:31.800 but that's the basic level,
00:43:33.300 okay?
00:43:34.320 There's a lot
00:43:34.760 the government could do
00:43:35.420 to help us
00:43:35.820 get out of this mess
00:43:36.740 and encourage family formation.
00:43:38.160 In Hungary and Russia,
00:43:39.180 by the way,
00:43:39.440 they're just paying people
00:43:40.160 to have kids.
00:43:40.700 Not the worst idea
00:43:41.540 but what else,
00:43:42.280 there are other things
00:43:42.880 we could do.
00:43:43.380 We could restrict immigration.
00:43:44.980 We could encourage marriage.
00:43:46.340 We could end abortion.
00:43:47.560 We could regulate
00:43:48.240 contraception even.
00:43:49.520 We could do,
00:43:49.940 there's a lot of stuff
00:43:50.660 we could do,
00:43:51.400 okay,
00:43:51.740 that would help families
00:43:53.700 and I think Republicans
00:43:55.240 are going to need
00:43:55.640 to start speaking
00:43:56.300 seriously about that
00:43:57.520 if we want to hold on
00:43:58.880 to the gains
00:43:59.720 that we are making
00:44:00.520 in traditionally
00:44:01.480 left-wing demographics.
00:44:04.860 Speaking of family formation,
00:44:07.680 I just saw the most,
00:44:11.000 it was the most horrifying clip
00:44:13.600 I've ever seen on the news.
00:44:16.360 I've seen a lot of ugly things
00:44:18.680 on the news
00:44:19.740 but in terms of an actual
00:44:21.400 just news segment,
00:44:22.680 not covering an event
00:44:23.440 but an actual segment
00:44:24.520 made for a TV show.
00:44:27.520 This is the most horrifying thing
00:44:28.800 I think I've ever seen.
00:44:30.680 A woman goes on
00:44:31.640 a local news show
00:44:32.640 to debate abortion.
00:44:35.240 There's a pro-life woman there
00:44:36.300 and a pro-abortion woman there
00:44:37.800 and the pro-abortion woman
00:44:39.360 took an abortion drug
00:44:41.440 and gave herself an abortion
00:44:43.020 live on air.
00:44:44.860 Are you advocating
00:44:46.040 stocking up
00:44:47.000 on abortion pills
00:44:48.500 in case Roe vs. Wade
00:44:49.860 is overturned?
00:44:50.860 Yes, so they are incredibly safe,
00:44:55.900 safer than Viagra
00:44:56.920 or Tylenol.
00:44:59.440 They've actually been
00:45:00.560 in medical practice
00:45:02.240 since 2000.
00:45:03.420 So if you order it
00:45:04.460 through the mail,
00:45:05.060 they'd be the same thing
00:45:05.980 you would receive
00:45:06.560 if you were to walk
00:45:07.320 into a clinic.
00:45:09.200 And the change
00:45:10.100 that recently happened
00:45:10.920 is previously
00:45:11.680 you had to actually
00:45:13.400 physically go to a doctor
00:45:14.620 to receive
00:45:15.280 at least the first
00:45:16.280 of the medication.
00:45:17.000 and now
00:45:18.840 you can get it
00:45:19.560 sent to you
00:45:20.040 through the mail
00:45:20.680 on a sliding scale
00:45:22.840 and it is
00:45:26.320 extremely easy
00:45:27.920 and private
00:45:29.540 and allows you
00:45:30.240 to really self-manage
00:45:31.360 your abortion.
00:45:32.920 And Charlie,
00:45:33.860 I just really
00:45:34.320 want to share
00:45:35.660 with you
00:45:36.120 really quickly
00:45:37.000 this year
00:45:39.000 is Mifepristone.
00:45:40.760 This is the first
00:45:41.480 of two pills
00:45:42.200 you would take
00:45:42.720 to end a pregnancy
00:45:43.560 and it would induce
00:45:44.860 an abortion,
00:45:45.960 this very pill.
00:45:47.440 by blocking
00:45:48.160 the hormone
00:45:48.700 and allowing
00:45:49.300 a pregnancy
00:45:49.720 to grow
00:45:50.060 and I want
00:45:50.460 to show you
00:45:50.980 how easy it is
00:45:52.240 and safe it is
00:45:53.160 by taking it myself.
00:45:54.700 We're going to
00:45:55.220 cut it off there.
00:45:55.800 I don't actually
00:45:56.820 want to show
00:45:57.680 this woman
00:45:58.040 taking the pill
00:45:58.740 because she's
00:45:59.160 killing someone
00:45:59.700 on television
00:46:00.380 and we don't
00:46:01.080 want to have
00:46:01.400 snuff videos
00:46:02.600 on here.
00:46:03.560 So we're
00:46:05.560 not going to
00:46:06.100 show that.
00:46:06.960 She says it's
00:46:07.520 her third abortion.
00:46:11.200 I have no reason
00:46:12.120 not to believe her.
00:46:12.940 She says she's
00:46:13.400 pregnant there.
00:46:13.920 I have no reason
00:46:14.560 not to believe her
00:46:15.380 about that either.
00:46:16.040 She seems giddy.
00:46:17.000 to kill her
00:46:17.800 children.
00:46:18.640 And you'll notice
00:46:19.180 when she holds
00:46:19.720 up the pill
00:46:20.300 she's got a
00:46:21.980 tattoo on her
00:46:22.620 hand and that
00:46:23.220 tattoo is
00:46:24.300 of a pentagram.
00:46:27.160 It's a sign
00:46:28.080 of witches.
00:46:30.380 I'm not,
00:46:31.400 this is not
00:46:31.860 some fevered,
00:46:32.740 crazy,
00:46:33.320 delusional thinking.
00:46:34.040 This is what
00:46:34.440 witches,
00:46:35.160 self-described
00:46:35.700 witches,
00:46:36.720 use as one
00:46:38.100 of their symbols.
00:46:38.820 It's a satanic
00:46:39.600 symbol.
00:46:39.960 It's an occult
00:46:40.820 symbol.
00:46:43.240 Do you think
00:46:43.820 that's just
00:46:44.180 a coincidence?
00:46:46.120 Because there
00:46:46.840 are people
00:46:47.180 who say,
00:46:47.660 okay,
00:46:47.920 listen,
00:46:48.240 you keep
00:46:48.600 your religion.
00:46:49.540 You keep
00:46:50.060 your religion
00:46:50.620 out of my
00:46:51.080 politics and
00:46:51.680 my health
00:46:52.080 care.
00:46:52.680 And then
00:46:53.100 they hold
00:46:53.400 up their
00:46:53.880 hand and
00:46:54.240 they've got
00:46:54.520 a satanic
00:46:55.240 symbol there.
00:46:58.380 What about
00:46:58.980 your religion?
00:47:00.780 Hold on,
00:47:01.160 let's definitely
00:47:01.820 keep your
00:47:02.420 religion.
00:47:02.900 I think
00:47:03.180 my religion,
00:47:03.860 Christianity,
00:47:04.200 is pretty good
00:47:04.960 in politics
00:47:05.540 and health
00:47:06.160 care.
00:47:06.700 I think
00:47:06.900 it's good
00:47:07.140 because it's
00:47:07.880 a good religion,
00:47:08.480 it's true
00:47:08.980 religion and
00:47:10.300 it leads
00:47:10.700 to human
00:47:11.160 flourishing.
00:47:12.720 And I think
00:47:13.440 that your
00:47:13.780 religion,
00:47:14.920 Satanism,
00:47:15.900 is bad and
00:47:16.940 should definitely
00:47:17.520 be suppressed.
00:47:18.300 We should
00:47:18.600 definitely keep
00:47:19.040 that one out
00:47:20.420 of politics
00:47:21.360 and health
00:47:22.260 care.
00:47:24.120 But they
00:47:24.600 will say,
00:47:24.940 oh,
00:47:25.140 come on,
00:47:25.500 you silly.
00:47:26.440 I'm not
00:47:26.800 really a
00:47:27.440 Satanist.
00:47:28.100 Come on,
00:47:28.380 there's nothing,
00:47:28.840 there's no,
00:47:29.220 there are no
00:47:29.560 gods,
00:47:30.040 there are no
00:47:30.320 deities,
00:47:30.840 there's no
00:47:31.200 angels or
00:47:31.700 demons.
00:47:32.200 It's all
00:47:32.440 just stuff.
00:47:33.300 It's just like
00:47:34.020 kind of a
00:47:34.420 symbol,
00:47:35.240 right?
00:47:35.540 A symbol
00:47:35.900 of what,
00:47:36.580 darling?
00:47:36.900 Why are
00:47:37.180 you wearing
00:47:37.540 the symbol?
00:47:38.820 This reminds
00:47:39.280 me of that
00:47:39.740 quote by
00:47:40.160 Baudelaire,
00:47:40.840 the finest
00:47:41.280 trick the
00:47:41.740 devil ever
00:47:42.160 played was
00:47:43.120 to convince
00:47:43.580 people that
00:47:44.140 he does
00:47:44.420 not exist.
00:47:46.800 But you
00:47:47.360 see it,
00:47:48.120 once you
00:47:48.780 see it,
00:47:49.260 you can't
00:47:49.580 unsee it.
00:47:50.820 Why is
00:47:51.300 this woman,
00:47:51.780 why does
00:47:52.020 she have a
00:47:52.360 satanic
00:47:52.720 symbol on
00:47:53.140 her hand?
00:47:53.760 Why did
00:47:54.200 Saul Alinsky,
00:47:55.540 the author
00:47:56.000 of Rules
00:47:56.440 for Radicals,
00:47:57.180 one of the
00:47:57.460 most influential
00:47:58.340 leftist
00:47:59.100 organizers and
00:48:00.020 theorists of
00:48:00.740 the last
00:48:01.080 hundred years,
00:48:02.460 a mentor to
00:48:03.160 Hillary Clinton,
00:48:04.280 why did he,
00:48:05.040 acknowledge in
00:48:06.920 the beginning of
00:48:07.980 his first edition
00:48:08.940 of Rules for
00:48:09.520 Radicals,
00:48:10.140 why did he
00:48:10.540 acknowledge,
00:48:11.160 right after the
00:48:11.800 dedication,
00:48:12.660 Lucifer?
00:48:14.720 He, in part,
00:48:16.120 dedicated the
00:48:16.720 book to
00:48:17.180 Lucifer, who he
00:48:18.260 said was the
00:48:18.700 first rebel who
00:48:19.940 lost himself
00:48:20.540 heaven but won
00:48:21.160 for himself a
00:48:22.440 political power,
00:48:23.140 a kingdom.
00:48:23.440 is that just,
00:48:25.900 oh, ha, ha,
00:48:26.320 it's just a
00:48:26.760 coincidence,
00:48:27.240 it's just a
00:48:27.660 symbol, it's
00:48:28.060 not real.
00:48:28.840 Well, you
00:48:29.420 know, I'm
00:48:29.620 seeing a lot
00:48:30.220 of this
00:48:30.560 stuff, I'm
00:48:31.760 seeing a lot
00:48:32.140 of this
00:48:32.440 symbolism and
00:48:33.520 symbols are
00:48:35.340 just meaningless.
00:48:37.480 If what you're
00:48:38.460 saying, if what
00:48:39.660 the materialists are
00:48:40.620 saying is true,
00:48:41.640 that there's
00:48:42.040 nothing spiritual,
00:48:42.920 there's nothing
00:48:43.480 beyond this
00:48:44.900 physical world
00:48:45.640 of matter,
00:48:46.660 then symbols are
00:48:47.560 meaningless, right,
00:48:48.280 because they don't
00:48:48.600 refer to anything.
00:48:49.540 But if they're
00:48:52.000 meaningless, why do
00:48:53.120 we have them?
00:48:53.640 And why are they
00:48:54.060 all kind of the
00:48:54.720 same symbol?
00:48:55.420 And why are they
00:48:55.940 all satanic?
00:48:58.840 Maybe there actually
00:49:00.060 is something there.
00:49:03.100 The question that we
00:49:04.620 need to ask ourselves
00:49:05.420 in public life is
00:49:06.600 not should we have
00:49:07.740 religion in politics
00:49:09.500 or should we not
00:49:10.460 have religion in
00:49:11.160 politics?
00:49:12.320 All politics comes
00:49:13.320 down to religion.
00:49:14.480 There's no escaping
00:49:15.260 it.
00:49:15.560 All human conflict
00:49:16.280 is theological.
00:49:17.220 You can admit it
00:49:17.960 or you cannot admit
00:49:18.740 it, but it's always
00:49:19.480 going to come down
00:49:20.000 to that because
00:49:20.680 it's always about
00:49:21.340 moral questions and
00:49:22.280 it's always about
00:49:22.800 the nature of man
00:49:23.560 and his relationship
00:49:24.280 to the state and
00:49:25.220 so you can't avoid
00:49:25.940 it.
00:49:26.300 The question is not
00:49:27.300 are we going to
00:49:28.140 have religion or
00:49:28.880 not have religion?
00:49:29.740 The question is are
00:49:30.500 we going to have
00:49:30.800 true religion or
00:49:31.560 false religion?
00:49:33.160 Which one?
00:49:33.600 What do you want?
00:49:34.080 Do you want,
00:49:35.000 here are two choices
00:49:35.640 that this lady is
00:49:36.640 going to present to
00:49:37.160 you, Christianity
00:49:37.880 or Satanism.
00:49:38.900 What do you want
00:49:39.280 to live under?
00:49:40.560 Well, I don't know.
00:49:42.060 Can I just have
00:49:42.820 Zoroastrianism?
00:49:45.560 Maybe.
00:49:46.120 I don't think so.
00:49:46.760 I don't think that's
00:49:47.420 not really an option,
00:49:48.340 is it?
00:49:48.620 That's not really
00:49:49.180 what we're talking
00:49:49.720 about.
00:49:50.900 You can't avoid it
00:49:52.200 and it's a very
00:49:53.480 childish impulse
00:49:54.420 of people on the
00:49:57.660 left and the right
00:49:58.220 to try to avoid
00:49:59.200 the ultimately
00:50:00.160 religious character
00:50:01.100 of politics.
00:50:04.620 Obviously,
00:50:05.100 what that woman
00:50:05.540 did should be
00:50:06.060 illegal.
00:50:07.060 Obviously,
00:50:07.560 these drugs
00:50:08.020 should be illegal.
00:50:08.840 You're going to
00:50:09.220 hear some people
00:50:09.740 say, well,
00:50:10.220 you can't ban it.
00:50:10.960 How can you ban
00:50:11.520 it?
00:50:11.660 It's a pill in the
00:50:12.280 mail.
00:50:12.520 You can order it
00:50:13.000 on the internet.
00:50:14.280 I don't know.
00:50:14.720 How do we ban
00:50:15.220 other drugs on the
00:50:15.960 internet?
00:50:16.440 How do we ban
00:50:18.000 ordering illegal
00:50:18.780 weapons on the
00:50:19.400 internet?
00:50:19.820 How do we ban
00:50:20.940 downloading child
00:50:22.180 pornography on the
00:50:23.060 internet?
00:50:23.460 How about that?
00:50:24.440 Well, it's on the
00:50:25.220 internet.
00:50:25.680 Well, it's too hard
00:50:27.060 to control.
00:50:28.000 Well, it's too hard
00:50:28.580 to ban things.
00:50:30.320 So, I don't know.
00:50:31.380 We do a pretty good
00:50:31.960 job of banning all
00:50:32.760 of those other
00:50:33.200 things.
00:50:33.500 We arrest lots of
00:50:34.340 people every year
00:50:35.120 for violating that
00:50:36.320 law.
00:50:37.920 Maybe we can ban
00:50:38.860 this too.
00:50:40.580 Certainly, you can
00:50:41.200 go after the
00:50:41.800 dealers.
00:50:42.820 Certainly, you can
00:50:43.360 go after the
00:50:43.880 middlemen and the
00:50:44.480 distributors.
00:50:45.120 Certainly, you can
00:50:45.540 go after the mail
00:50:46.100 carriers, for goodness
00:50:46.820 sakes.
00:50:48.080 But you can.
00:50:49.100 You can.
00:50:49.560 We have political
00:50:50.300 power, guys.
00:50:51.820 We just have to
00:50:52.820 use it.
00:50:54.020 Take a lesson from
00:50:55.040 the truckers up in
00:50:55.920 Canada.
00:50:56.420 We got a lot more
00:50:57.280 political power than
00:50:58.760 some people think that
00:50:59.640 we do.
00:51:00.220 We've just got to
00:51:02.000 use it.
