Transcript

00:00:00.000 Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is very concerned about freedom in Ukraine.
00:00:06.740 Western intelligence agencies believe Russia will invade Ukraine any day now. And so Trudeau
00:00:13.000 has announced that he will be giving Ukraine a half billion dollar loan and an additional
00:00:19.180 7.8 million dollars worth of military equipment. It is even possible that we will see Canadian
00:00:25.820 soldiers fighting alongside other NATO allies in Ukraine to repel Putin's invading force.
00:00:33.040 So crucial is it to Western civilization that we maintain freedom in Ukraine. And to prepare
00:00:40.480 for this robust defense of freedom in Eastern Europe, Justin Trudeau is making sure to quash
00:00:46.740 every last gasp of freedom in his own country. In response to the peaceful convoy of truckers
00:00:53.380 protesting the government's vaccine mandate, Trudeau has officially suspended civil liberties
00:00:59.060 in Canada.
00:01:00.600 Federal government has invoked the Emergencies Act to supplement provincial and territorial capacity
00:01:09.580 to address the blockades and occupations. It is now clear that responsible leadership
00:01:16.800 requires us to do this. These measures must be and will be compliant with our Charter of
00:01:26.440 Rights and Freedoms. Indeed, the Emergencies Act was created in the late 80s to flow from
00:01:33.040 and uphold the Charter. We'll always defend the rights of Canadians to peaceful assembly and
00:01:41.140 freedom of expression. Here in our capital city, families and small businesses have been enduring
00:01:47.180 illegal obstruction of their neighborhoods. Occupying streets, harassing people, breaking the law.
00:01:55.360 This is not a peaceful protest. BLM riots, that's mostly peaceful. But truckers honking to avoid injecting
00:02:04.800 themselves with an experimental drug of dubious moral and medical value. That is terrorism.
00:02:11.100 This sort of law, last invoked by Trudeau's father when he was the leader of Canada,
00:02:16.380 will allow the suspension of public assembly, travel, and the use of property. It will allow
00:02:22.320 the government to force privately owned tow truck companies to do the government's bidding and take
00:02:27.960 the trucks. It will even freeze and seize the financial assets of the truckers and the truckers'
00:02:35.140 supporters. First, we are broadening the scope of Canada's anti-money laundering and terrorist
00:02:43.200 financing rules so that they cover crowdfunding platforms and the payment service providers
00:02:50.360 they use. These changes cover all forms of transactions, including digital assets, such as
00:02:59.080 cryptocurrencies. The illegal blockades have highlighted the fact that crowdfunding platforms
00:03:05.960 and some of the payment service providers they use are not fully captured under the Proceeds of Crime
00:03:13.840 and Terrorist Financing Act. Regular old truckers who don't want to inject themselves need
00:03:20.340 with an experimental drug are having their rights, their way of life, and their property taken from
00:03:26.700 them in Canada. The nicest, smiliest, most pleasant liberal nation on earth. And I'm supposed to be
00:03:35.880 worried about a territorial battle in one of the most frequently conquered countries in the history of
00:03:40.920 the world. I don't want to sound callous, and I am sure Vladimir Putin is a no good, dirty, rotten,
00:03:47.860 terrible guy. But how exactly are we supposed to defend freedom on the other side of the world
00:03:53.460 when we can't even preserve it in America's hat? I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.
00:04:07.420 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday from the drummer's workshop at Norm's Music,
00:04:12.000 who says, Biden told Sam Brinton, the dogma lives loudly within you. Sam Brinton being the nuclear official
00:04:22.380 who is apparently a dog fetishist. Really great work there from that commenter. Love me a good pun,
00:04:32.760 especially a pun about the absolute degradation of our federal government. It gets you tense when you
00:04:41.740 think about how degraded and weakened our country and our government have become. And when you're
00:04:47.720 just feeling so tense, it's nice to relax, sit back, and enjoy one of the finest sofas you can ever get.
00:04:55.100 That would be all form. If you've been listening to this show for a while, you have certainly heard
00:05:00.020 me talk about my Helix mattress. I love my Helix mattress. It is absolutely magnificent. Mattress built
00:05:06.280 just for you. It's so beautiful. Well, Helix has left the bedroom and now moved into the family room,
00:05:12.180 the living room. They've started making sofas. They just launched a new company called Allform.
00:05:16.260 They are already making the greatest sofas we have ever seen. So what makes an Allform sofa really,
00:05:23.300 really great? For starters, it is the easiest way that you can customize a sofa using premium materials
00:05:29.540 and at a fraction of the cost of traditional stores. You can pick your fabric, the sofa color,
00:05:34.820 the color of the legs, sofa size, and shape to make sure that it is absolutely perfect for you
00:05:40.540 and your home. They've got armchairs and loveseats all the way up to an eight-seat sectional. So
00:05:44.780 there's something for everyone. You can always start small and buy more seats later on if you want
00:05:49.720 your Allform sofa to grow and change with you when you move as your family changes. It's really,
00:05:55.260 really top-notch stuff. I love it. If you think it sounds a little risky,
00:05:58.500 you don't worry. You get 100 days to decide if you want to keep it. That is more than three months.
00:06:02.940 If you don't love it, they'll pick it up for free, give you a full refund, but you're going to love it.
00:06:06.260 They've got a forever warranty, a forever warranty, but you're going to love it.
00:06:10.080 Find your perfect sofa. Check out allform.com slash Knowles. Allform is offering 20% off all
00:06:15.320 orders for our listeners. That's allform.com slash Knowles. Justin Trudeau in Canada is clamping down.
00:06:21.440 He is doubling down. He is calling these truckers terrorists. He is saying you will take the
00:06:26.420 Fauci ouchie. You will inject yourselves, even though everything we told you about it,
00:06:30.380 all the promises we made turned out not to be totally true, even though the virus is not nearly
00:06:34.980 as dangerous as the fear mongers initially said it was. Still, you've got to do it. It's almost as
00:06:40.780 though this isn't about a virus. It's almost as though this isn't about the public health or a
00:06:44.940 pandemic. It's almost as though this is just about an exercise of power, a resetting of the
00:06:51.900 political order and the economy. And Justin Trudeau asserting himself, just like so many
00:06:57.900 politicians in America have asserted themselves, saying, no, we're going to grab this power in
00:07:02.340 the new normal. That's what Trudeau is doing. Now, the little glimmer of hope, the silver lining in
00:07:08.680 Canada, is that where power is closer to the people, where power is more accountable to the people,
00:07:15.680 you are seeing not a doubling down on the mandates, but a loosening up. You're seeing,
00:07:19.600 for instance, in Ontario, the Ontario premier Doug Ford, who is also significantly more conservative
00:07:26.920 than Justin Trudeau. He's just announced that the mandates are gone. They're going the way of
00:07:32.800 the dodo. The vaccine passport system will be shut down on March 1st. Capacity limits on restaurants,
00:07:39.800 bars, theaters, and gyms will be lifted this week. That'll be on Thursday, a week ahead of schedule.
00:07:45.640 He said that the reason for the lifting of these restrictions has absolutely nothing to do with
00:07:54.420 the truckers. Has nothing to do, no way, not with the Freedom Convoy. This is purely science. He says
00:08:01.760 they would never negotiate with people who are breaking the law. I am a little skeptical of that
00:08:09.060 because while we're told by all the public health geniuses that they're going to just follow the science,
00:08:15.160 science and the science, the science hasn't changed. The science hasn't changed one little bit.
00:08:20.740 These lockdowns, these mandates, these vaccine passport requirements have been implemented at
00:08:26.900 various times throughout America and throughout Canada, but they've really ramped up within the
00:08:30.920 last month or so. And then all of a sudden they went away ahead of schedule most of the time when,
00:08:37.620 when the mandates weren't simply indefinite. So what changed? Not the medical science,
00:08:44.640 but the political science. Even Fauci has admitted this. All the public health leaders have admitted
00:08:49.320 this. They are calibrating their public health pronouncements to what they think the people can
00:08:55.240 take. And they're basing it much more on what they think people will do rather than on any sort of
00:09:00.500 epidemiology. This, this was true from the very beginning when Fauci said, don't wear the masks,
00:09:04.820 the masks don't work. And then five seconds later, he said, you have to wear the masks. The masks are
00:09:08.520 really great. And then later on they said, actually the masks don't really do all that much.
00:09:11.640 And the world leaders themselves never really took the masks seriously. Just look at the Superbowl,
00:09:16.720 all the plebs who had to work at the Superbowl, they had their masks on all of the rich, wealthy,
00:09:22.340 powerful elites who were at the Superbowl. None of them were wearing their masks because they never
00:09:26.200 really believed it either. It was always about controlling people. You even had this with the,
00:09:30.740 the shortening of the coronavirus quarantine happened just within the last month. They said, okay,
00:09:36.320 we're no longer going to make you quarantine for 10 days. It's going to be five days. Why did the,
00:09:41.120 did the virus suddenly get lethargic and lazy and it's no longer infecting people? No, they just knew
00:09:46.300 that people weren't going to do it. And Fauci even said that at a certain point, you got to figure out
00:09:50.660 what people are going to do. And so they weren't going to do it anymore. And so he changed the policy.
00:09:54.400 This is all about the truckers. Good job truckers. Honk, honk, honk. Love what you're doing.
00:10:01.560 You are defending not just some abstract liberty, but the way of life in Canada. And you're seeing
00:10:07.580 this here too. Did you know that over 85% of grass-fed beef sold in U.S. grocery stores is
00:10:12.340 imported? That's why I buy all my meat from goodranchers.com instead. Good Ranchers products

00:10:45.720 You want to talk about a silver lining? Down in D.C. Here, one of the most draconian public health
00:10:52.480 regimes that we've seen anywhere in the country. I was in D.C. about a month ago for the March for Life.
00:10:57.680 And almost every place you would go into was demanding your papers, your medical history,
00:11:03.080 your ID. It was really, really intense. Some people pushed back against that sort of thing.
00:11:09.380 This was being reflected in the poll numbers. And all of a sudden, even D.C. is lifting the mandates.
00:11:16.520 Additionally, beginning tomorrow, February 15th, as you know, the limited public health emergency
00:11:25.140 that I put in effect in December expires, as will the requirement for indoor venues to verify
00:11:35.200 that patrons are vaccinated. Again, businesses may choose to keep vaccination requirements in their
00:11:44.160 place, in place at their establishment with appropriate signage.
00:11:50.800 I love this woman, the mayor of D.C. She's trying to make it sound like this is just the ordinary
00:11:55.540 way of things. And they're going to expire. And you know, the science. Lady, these mandates have
00:12:03.100 only been enforced for for a month now. What do you mean? And now they're so they're just going to
00:12:08.580 expire now. No, you know what's happening is that the Democrats know they're in an election year.
00:12:13.280 They see that these mandates are absolutely crushing them in the polls. And so they're doing a complete
00:12:18.500 180. And for a while, at the beginning of the mandates, the mask mandates and the vaccine
00:12:24.140 mandates, you saw from the mainstream news media, they would they tried to insist that the public
00:12:30.500 actually loved these mandates. And they cook up a bunch of numbers and say they're polling really
00:12:34.300 well. You know how you know they're not polling well because all the Democrats are doing a 180 now.
00:12:38.700 That's how you know it's not working is the people are pushing back against this stuff.
00:12:41.860 And we still have enough of a functioning republic in this country that these sitting politicians
00:12:47.280 are nervous that the people are going to throw the bums out if they don't lighten up and let them
00:12:52.020 return to their ordinary way of life. Now, one political issue that has not gotten any easier
00:12:58.520 recently are these soaring gas prices. But luckily, there is a solution that would be get upside.
00:13:05.820 I had to fill up my tank this morning. My tank was low. I now wait for it to get very, very low
00:13:11.520 because gas is going through the roof. Even here in beautiful Nashville, gas is way,
00:13:15.700 way up from what it was last year. Thank you, Mr. President. And so there was a little silver
00:13:22.460 lining in my storm cloud of having to fill up my tank. Do you know what that was? Get Upside.
00:13:26.840 Get Upside is so simple. You download the free Get Upside app. You use promo code Knowles,

00:14:09.640 Promo code Knowles. You can thank me with all your savings. According to a new poll,
00:14:17.140 the majority of Democrats do not want Joe Biden to run again in 2024. Who do you think put this poll
00:14:24.120 out? Because you're going to hear from the left, they're going to say, oh, this is propaganda. Oh,
00:14:29.080 this is just right-wing conspiracy nonsense. Who do you think put the poll out? You think it was
00:14:33.900 the Daily Wire? You think it was the blaze? You think it was Fox News? You think it was CNN, baby?
00:14:41.660 CNN says the majority of Democrats do not want Joe Biden to run again in 2024.
00:14:48.180 Only 45% of Democrats and Democrat-leaning voters want Biden to run for re-election. 51%
00:14:56.080 want someone else to run. Margin of error is 3.3 points. This is really devastating news for Joe Biden.
00:15:03.640 I was having a drink with a liberal family member of mine just about a week ago. He says to me,
00:15:12.380 Michael, who are we going to get? I said, who's we? He said, we Democrats. Who are we going to get?
00:15:18.920 There's no way Biden can run again, right? I said, I don't. What's the alternative? Kamala Harris is
00:15:24.520 less popular than Biden. The Democrats keep trying to make Buttigieg happen, just like the mean girls
00:15:31.300 try to make Fetch happen. It's not going to happen. I know he was created in a lab, probably in the CIA
00:15:38.240 building at Langley. I know he checks all the boxes. He's glib. He's good looking. He's gay. He went to
00:15:44.560 Harvard. He worked at him. I know he seems great on paper, but he's not going to happen, guys.
00:15:50.520 Buttigieg is not going to happen. So then who do you have? You've got
00:15:52.980 Antony Blinken, the secretary of state. I don't think so. Yeah. After botching every foreign issue
00:15:59.660 during his tenure, you've got Liz Warren. Is she still, I don't think she's a thing anymore. Who
00:16:06.040 do you have? You've got nothing. And so the majority of even Democrats don't want this guy to run
00:16:10.700 Joe Biden. And yet he's probably the best option they've got. The one other option,
00:16:16.100 and they're already floating this. Doug Schoen, a former Clinton advisor, ran an op-ed in the Wall
00:16:22.100 Street Journal about a month or so ago floating this idea. What if they reanimate the corpse of
00:16:29.040 Hillary Clinton? What if they go back and have Hillary 3.0? Well, there's even worse news there
00:16:36.940 for Democrats. John McLaughlin, who was a pollster who worked for Trump, but he's a very respected
00:16:42.060 pollster on both sides of the aisle. John McLaughlin just ran a poll trying to figure out how Trump
00:16:49.680 would fare against any Democrat candidate in 2024. Here's what he found. Our last national poll,
00:16:57.600 Joe Biden has a 57 job disapproval. That's a drop of 33 points since last April. I mean,
00:17:03.920 last April, he had a 50 percent, 58 percent of proof. Trump had left them with a growing economy,
00:17:08.780 vaccines. People thought things were going to get better. And in Senate, instead, they spent,
00:17:14.240 they had, he didn't have to do anything. Donald Trump defeats Joe Biden nationally in these polls,
00:17:19.120 49-44. And Trump defeats Kamala Harris, even worse, 51-40. And he even beat Hillary Clinton, 51-41.
00:17:28.040 So the Republicans are united. And for this November, the Republicans are leading in the
00:17:33.400 generic ballot for Congress, 48-43. It's just absolutely devastating news for the Democrats.
00:17:41.260 It's sort of devastating news as well for the non-Trump Republicans, because you hear a lot of
00:17:48.260 talk right now about, especially Ron DeSantis, he's considered to be the sort of young gun,
00:17:54.480 shiny new thing who could be a great, and I think he could be a good presidential candidate.
00:17:57.860 But the hurdle that he's going to have to overcome is that Donald Trump is just dominating the field.
00:18:04.080 You will sometimes hear anti-Trump people in the Democrats and in the Republican Party who say,
00:18:09.120 well, Trump's only commanding the support of 53 percent of Republicans.
00:18:14.000 Oh, is that all? Only 53 percent? You look at the next candidate, Ron DeSantis,
00:18:19.660 who's a great governor, who's, who's doing a good job, who probably could be a good presidential
00:18:23.700 candidate. He's at something like 13 percent. The other, the other candidates also who would be
00:18:29.460 superb presidential candidates, you look at someone like Ted Cruz, you look at someone like
00:18:33.840 Mike Pompeo, you look, I mean, you go down the list, all of, all of them are at 13 or less.
00:18:41.760 Trump is at 53. Because you got to remember, for people who are tuning into shows like this,
00:18:47.180 you are very politically aware. You are. I mean, this is not just flattery. If you're tuning into a
00:18:53.000 show like this, you know what's going on in politics. You know who the players are. You
00:18:57.120 know what the stakes are. You know what the official message is. You know what the reality is. But the
00:19:01.280 vast majority of Americans do not spend their time thinking about these things. They don't.
00:19:08.180 There, I, I just spoke to a young woman, perfectly bright, ordinary, well-adjusted young woman,
00:19:16.360 who I mentioned Dr. Fauci. She said, who's Dr. Fauci? I said, lucky you. Blessed are you that you are
00:19:22.700 not paying so much attention to what's going on that you don't, you don't know who Dr. Fauci is.
00:19:27.680 That's great. So when you think of ordinary people who are just going about their lives,
00:19:31.500 who are not concerned about, I don't know, what's going on in Ukraine this week or what
00:19:36.140 this particular law in Canada means for this, for ordinary people who are just kind of paying
00:19:40.660 attention to their jobs and their family and their local communities, what's the name you're going
00:19:45.340 to think of is Trump. Now, the good news for the Republicans is Trump is absolutely crushing
00:19:49.200 every other candidate right now. And the House Republicans are, are absolutely crushing the
00:19:55.120 Democrats. So how do we lose? How do we lose? Well, Republicans can still lose. And the reason
00:20:02.580 they can still lose is that Republicans do not have any institutional power. The liberals control
00:20:09.140 every single center of power in this country, except for the people. That's what, that's what the
00:20:17.240 trucker thing is about. That's what the anti-vax, anti-mask, anti-public health establishment
00:20:25.120 protests are about in America. It's what the Freedom Convoy is about in France, for goodness sakes.
00:20:30.920 They've got a trucker protest in France right now. What's it about? It's especially pronounced here in
00:20:36.680 America. We don't control the universities, we conservatives. We don't control the media.
00:20:42.060 We don't control big tech. We don't control corporations. We don't control sports. We don't
00:20:47.640 control the government. We don't control the bureaucracy. We don't control the NGOs. We don't
00:20:53.500 control the transnational. We don't control any of it. But we still have a lot of the people.
00:21:00.180 We still have roughly half the people, probably more than half the people, if these polls are to
00:21:04.120 be believed. And that's what's creating this friction. That's what's creating this tension. But I'll show
00:21:09.640 you how it played out. Do you remember years ago now, the New York Times blamed Sarah Palin for a
00:21:17.600 mass shooting? Because Sarah Palin had put out some totally normal political material saying,
00:21:26.200 these are the districts we're targeting. These are the policies that we're targeting in our political
00:21:31.840 actions in this coming election cycle. Right? And that word and that image of the target,
00:21:37.660 then later on, uh, Congressman Gabby Giffords, Democrat Congressman gets shot. She ended up
00:21:42.700 surviving, but she ends up getting shot. And the left blames Sarah Palin because she used this image
00:21:49.340 of targeting districts. Everyone uses it. Democrats use it. Republicans use it. They've always,
00:21:53.960 but they, they found a cynical opportunity and they said, Sarah Palin's responsible.
00:21:59.200 And Sarah Palin sued the New York Times for defamation.
00:22:01.580 Well, unfortunately, Palin sued the New York Times in a New York court.
00:22:07.760 The, the jury was deliberating on this case. It seems like a pretty strong case to me.
00:22:12.760 And then the judge, while the jury was deliberating, threw out the case. And the judge
00:22:18.200 in this liberal New York court said, sorry, the Palin team has not, has not proved that, that the,
00:22:26.540 the, what the New York Times did reached this very high standard for defamation. And the judge is
00:22:31.060 right about two things. He's right about two. One, there is a very high standard for defamation in
00:22:37.380 this country. There wasn't always a very high standard for defamation, but there is now. And two,
00:22:42.540 what the judge said was the, the Palin team did not prove actual malice. Meaning even if the New York
00:22:50.780 Times is extremely ignorant and extremely irresponsible, the, the New York Times, there's
00:22:56.660 no proof that the New York Times actually knew that the stupid nonsense that they were publishing was,
00:23:02.680 was false. And so the defense is basically, look, the New York Times, they're a bunch of idiots. How
00:23:08.740 are they supposed to know? The New York Times, they're totally ignorant. They don't know anything
00:23:12.020 about what's going on. So because you, because you can't prove that the New York Times has even two
00:23:16.660 brain cells to rub together. Therefore it's not defamation, which is a fairly strong case when
00:23:21.700 you're talking about, when you're talking about the New York Times. Now the, the reason for this,
00:23:26.180 the reason that the threshold is so high for defamation is because there was a court case in
00:23:29.700 1964, New York Times versus Sullivan. It actually involved the New York Times again, because they're
00:23:33.620 extremely irresponsible journalists. And in that case, the liberal court decided to raise the
00:23:41.760 standard immensely for defamation to this standard of actual malice. And so for all intents and purposes,
00:23:47.960 you, a public figure cannot sue for defamation, no matter how irresponsible and vicious the
00:23:53.280 coverage is. In other countries, it's pretty easy. And sometimes public figures do win, but not here
00:23:59.180 in America, not since the 1960s. Conservatives need to cut this out. There is an impulse among
00:24:03.880 conservatives to say, look, we want, we, we need to protect the freedom of the press to such a degree
00:24:09.960 that they should be able to publish whatever nonsense lies about politicians. That's the only
00:24:13.920 way to preserve free speech in America. B.S. That's not going to help us here, folks. All that
00:24:18.960 does, this very high standard from the 1960s of defamation, all it does is entrench liberal power
00:24:24.340 because the liberals control all of these institutions, especially the press. Trump was
00:24:29.600 aware of this. Other conservatives who know what time it is are aware of this. We need to tighten up
00:24:34.140 those libel laws, those defamation laws. Otherwise, all we are doing is handing the left
00:24:39.560 more and more and more power in a way that is unjust and completely unnecessary and will not,
00:24:46.480 will not help anyone in this country in the, will not, will not help the country overall. It'll help
00:24:50.440 the liberals, but it won't help the country overall in the long run. If you missed the world premiere of

00:26:26.980 Sometimes, conservatives defend the insanely left-wing, radical, unfair, irresponsible press.
00:26:36.100 They will. They oppose tightening up defamation laws. And the reason they do it is they say,
00:26:42.360 well, you know, if we tighten up defamation laws, then the government might use that to suppress our
00:26:48.020 speech. Then the liberals might use that to silence us. As though the liberals weren't already silencing
00:26:56.160 us, using all the power that they've got, not just through the government, but through the whole
00:26:59.500 public-private establishment, big tech, the corporations, the universities, corporate America,
00:27:06.860 all of it, they're already doing that. So these people are worried about a hypothetical that is
00:27:11.240 already happening in real life. But furthermore, what they will say, and it sounds principled,
00:27:16.800 even though it's really not a great principle, but what they'll say is, the answer to bad speech
00:27:24.080 is more speech. You see, look, the New York Times, even if they're running vicious lies,
00:27:32.540 complete dishonesty, the answer to that is not to tell them no and enforce defamation laws.
00:27:40.600 No, no, the answer to that is build your own New York Times. That's basically what they're saying,
00:27:44.300 right? It's more speech. That is not always true. The answer to lots of speech is to punish it,
00:27:56.520 right? And that has always been the case in America. If you told the founding fathers,
00:28:00.660 the answer to bad speech is more speech, they would have looked at you like you had three heads.
00:28:06.340 The answer to fraud is more speech. No, the answer to fraud is prosecution.
00:28:11.320 The answer to sedition and treason and direct threats is more speech.
00:28:22.220 No, it's a police officer and a judge in a courtroom. That's the answer to those things.
00:28:27.200 The answer to obscenity is, well, these days, I guess it's more obscenity is what we're doing.
00:28:31.440 No, do you know what the founding fathers would have said? They would have said, no,
00:28:33.620 the answer to that is a jury and a judge and the enforcement of our laws. What are you talking about?
00:28:40.020 We want a thriving marketplace of ideas. We really do want that, but you're not going to get that if
00:28:48.520 you tolerate all sorts of fraud and lies and dishonesty and obscenity. Actually, all that
00:28:55.020 kind of speech is going to undermine the free marketplace of ideas as it is right now.
00:28:59.700 You're not going to get the answer to the bad speech as more speech if the liberals control all
00:29:04.640 of the speech. The liberals control 100% of the institutional speech platforms in America.
00:29:13.400 100%. Conservatives don't have any of it. We don't have the press. We don't have the government.
00:29:20.160 We don't have the big tech platforms, which are the public square right now.
00:29:23.440 We don't have any of it. And it's no surprise that we're now seeing our voices being taken away from
00:29:33.140 us. What do we have? We have some podcasts. I'm very fortunate. I've got a very large platform here
00:29:42.160 at the Michael Knowles show and at the Daily Wire. That's great. Facebook could turn us off in two
00:29:48.100 seconds. Well, you saw it with Joe Rogan. Even Joe Rogan, man, he's the biggest podcaster in the
00:29:53.740 world. Well, he questioned a few things about COVID. He pointed out some inconsistencies with
00:30:00.400 Dr. Fauci. He brought on very well-respected scientists who happened to dissent from the
00:30:05.740 ruling class. And what happened? They fixed him real good. They took off more than 100 episodes of
00:30:12.900 his show. They put disclaimers on the shows that they didn't like. Hey, listen, don't get too rowdy
00:30:19.440 there. Joe Rogan. Joe Rogan, who's a liberal. He's not even a conservative. So we don't control any of
00:30:25.300 this. When conservatives say the answer to bad speech is more speech, it's incoherent in the
00:30:33.140 particulars. But it's also impractical in real life because we don't have any of those institutions.
00:30:40.160 The one thing we've got is the people. That's what you're seeing in Canada. That's what you're
00:30:45.620 seeing here. The one power center that we still have at least some of is the people. And so the
00:30:50.900 people, we the people need to use what power we have to bring our country back into some semblance
00:30:56.700 of sanity. And we can do that in the market and we can do that in the culture. And yes, we need to do
00:31:01.820 that in politics. We the people through our self-government. You want to talk about irresponsible
00:31:08.660 journalism. After the Super Bowl win, the people of Los Angeles reacted as is so often the case
00:31:18.000 when a city wins a Super Bowl. They torched their own city. There was rioting. There was madness. There
00:31:25.040 was mayhem. What better way to celebrate than to destroy your community? So this was going on in LA
00:31:31.460 as everybody expected. And CBS News, the local CBS News affiliate, they, they didn't want to make
00:31:38.820 these people look bad. You know, this is, these are Democrat voters here who are burning down this
00:31:43.480 city. So they're jumping on cars and, you know, causing all sorts of mayhem and, you know, riding in
00:31:49.760 the streets. Or in the words of CBS, they were engaging in problematic celebration. That's the new one,
00:32:00.160 they say. Problematic celebrators were seen jumping on top of a white pickup truck as police tried to
00:32:08.520 disperse the crowd. LAPD declared an unlawful assembly almost 45 minutes before. When BLM burns down cities
00:32:18.040 and attacks federal courthouses and kills dozens of people and loots and robs and rapes and kill
00:32:22.500 pillages and burns for eight months, that is a mostly peaceful protest. When Angelenos riot
00:32:31.800 after the Super Bowl win and jump on top of cars and create riots in the streets, that is a problematic
00:32:39.520 celebration. And when ordinary, hardworking, basically law-abiding truckers
00:32:48.360 honk their horns so they don't need to inject themselves with an experimental drug
00:32:52.840 to stave off, to possibly, to probably not even stave off a virus that's not all that dangerous to most
00:32:57.960 people. That's terrorism. That's the world that we're living in right now, okay? That's the world
00:33:07.300 of the journalists. That's the world of the government. That's the world according to both of
00:33:12.140 them. And it's completely false. And it is nothing more than an instrument to upend our way of life,
00:33:21.160 take away our rights and our liberties and everything that we've come to cherish in these
00:33:25.300 countries. And we've got to push back on that. You want to talk about Hollywood? You want to talk
00:33:30.860 about the media for a second? This is a story I wasn't going to get into because this is not exactly
00:33:35.960 a tabloid show. You know, this is not Hollywood all access or anything like that. But this story
00:33:40.620 actually gets to something pretty important in our politics and culture. I'm talking about Yeezy.
00:33:46.280 I'm talking about Mr. Ye. I'm talking about the breakup of Kim Ye. Kim Kardashian now dating Pete
00:33:52.760 Davidson. Why? I don't know. Pete Davidson pulls above his weight in the girls, I guess. But
00:33:57.100 they're dating. Kanye was dating some other girl. I guess he's not dating her anymore.
00:34:00.980 It's very sad. Their marriage was falling apart, but he's still trying to get back together.
00:34:07.120 Kanye West has been going after his wife's, they're not actually divorced, I don't think,
00:34:12.560 his wife's current boyfriend, Pete Davidson. He's using colorful language, but he posted a picture
00:34:21.780 of Pete Davidson because he got a Hillary Clinton tattoo on himself. And he said, look at this
00:34:27.580 D-I-C-K head, I wonder if Instagram going to shut down my page for dissing Hillary Clinton's
00:34:33.080 ex-boyfriend. Then he goes on, he keeps posting pictures of Pete Davidson going after him.
00:34:41.820 He says, when I tag people, I'm just putting together the web. They're a group of people
00:34:46.480 who run the media in the election. Thank God for free speech. So Kanye totally, totally right on that
00:34:50.860 point. And then Pete Davidson apparently sent Kanye West a message and said, I'd never get in the way
00:34:58.120 of your children. How you guys want to raise your kids is your business and not mine. I do hope that
00:35:03.980 one day I can meet them and we can all be friends. Right? Hey, this is the new boyfriend saying this to
00:35:10.560 the husband of the woman that he's dating. And Kanye just responds, all caps, he says, no,
00:35:17.120 you will never meet my children. Awesome. I love that. I love that. We should all learn a lesson
00:35:27.240 from Kanye right now. I know that is not necessarily the sort of thing one would naturally think, but
00:35:34.600 Kanye is actually doing something right here. Kanye is trying to save his marriage and he's not just
00:35:39.740 going along with this. And his wife, Kim Kardashian, has a whole spread in vogue about how she's going
00:35:45.120 to live for herself now. Remember we covered it on the show last week. She's in her forties. It's about
00:35:49.560 what she wants and she's not going to let other people tell her what to do. And you know, it's fine
00:35:54.460 if her children are traumatized by her leaving her husband and by the dissolution of their marriage and
00:35:59.220 her engaging in this high profile fling with this Hollywood derelict. Yeah, that's fine because
00:36:06.240 it's for her. It's about me now. And Kanye West is saying, no, I'm not going quietly. I'm not doing
00:36:12.300 this. I'm not going to let you have your own new life and take my children away from me.
00:36:19.100 And I'm not going to pretend that it's all fine and it's all amicable and it's all good. And don't
00:36:24.120 worry, you do you and I'll do me. And we'll all just date whoever we want. And by the way, when we
00:36:27.980 get tired of those people, we're going to kick them out too. And we're going to date other people.
00:36:31.340 And if our kids are extremely confused and traumatized by that, well, that look, that's just,
00:36:34.980 that's just the cost of pursuing your own appetites and desires. And now we can all be friends. Hey,
00:36:40.240 let's all get dinner. Me, you and Pete Davidson and Pete Davidson's girlfriend and Pete Davidson's
00:36:44.900 girlfriend's boyfriend. It's cool. It's all good, right? No, Kanye is saying, no, it's not good.
00:36:50.140 Stop acting like a harlot and a trollop and come back to your husband. And we're going to live
00:36:54.460 together because we made an agreement to do this. We made a consecrated marriage vow before the people
00:37:04.300 of our community and before the public and before our God. And we're going to honor that.
00:37:10.140 I love it. I love it. I don't know if it's going to work, but I love it. That's totally the right
00:37:14.040 attitude. It's totally the right. The Kim, the Kim attitude of, I'm just going to do me.
00:37:19.900 Don't let people tell you what to do. I'm going to do me. And the Kanye attitude of, no, I'm going to
00:37:23.940 do what I said I would do. And I'm going to live up to, even though I'm an extremely broken,
00:37:28.540 flawed, sinful person. I am going to try to be virtuous and holy. And that's not just you do you
00:37:36.600 and I'll do me. And no, we're going to do what we should do and what we're supposed to do.
00:37:41.080 And we're going to defend, if we're going to have a good life and a good country and a good society,
00:37:45.620 we're going to defend the basic political institution, the family, marriage. And I'm not
00:37:52.620 going to let some scruffy-haired derelict from Saturday Night Live get in the way of that.
00:37:56.260 Uh-uh. Absolutely right. Stand up, Kanye. Kim should go back to her husband.
00:38:02.280 We should, we should, we should tighten up these sorts of things. You know, there has been a
00:38:07.520 movement on the right in recent years away from the sort of you do you kind of, hey, whatever,
00:38:13.620 just if it feels good, do it. Just cut my taxes. Just don't make me pay for it, right? There's been
00:38:17.860 a movement away from that, a movement toward more traditional social values, a movement toward
00:38:22.820 defending the nation, right? Toward borders, toward, and one of the parts of this movement has been
00:38:28.960 that we should tighten up divorce laws. That the idea of no-fault divorce, which took hold
00:38:34.500 in the latter part of the 20th century, has been a disaster and it's led to family mayhem and it's
00:38:39.880 led to all sorts of social pathologies and we shouldn't have it. It should be harder to get
00:38:45.100 divorced. On the one hand, it sounds like you're taking away freedom when you do that, right? What
00:38:52.720 do you mean? People don't have the freedom to just get divorced whenever they want?
00:38:57.180 I know it sounds like that, but making divorce harder to get, making the threshold much higher
00:39:03.480 is actually a way to expand freedom. I think about it this way. Think about it with a national border.
00:39:09.740 We don't have really borders in this country anymore. Certainly not our southern border.
00:39:14.180 People just pour across by the millions every year. So it sounds like that gives you more freedom,
00:39:19.680 right? America is much more free. We don't even have borders anymore. But actually, America is much
00:39:24.900 less free because we don't have the border, because we don't have that constraint, because we no longer
00:39:29.020 have the ability to chart our own national course. We no longer have the stability of a normal country
00:39:36.000 that actually follows the laws, the stability and the order requisite for true liberty to flourish.
00:39:41.640 It's the same thing with the speech laws. If you have free speech, quote unquote, protections for fraud
00:39:46.740 and obscenity and threats and fighting words, then you don't have speech. Then you've got bullying,
00:39:53.160 and then you've got de facto censorship, all in the name of speech. And the same thing with marriage.
00:39:58.040 Marriage constricts your license and your ability to do whatever you want whenever you want to do it,
00:40:04.480 but it actually expands your freedom because it gives you a life. It gives you stability.
00:40:09.560 It gives you trust that you can rely on the things that people said they were going to do,
00:40:14.880 that they're actually going to do them. It gives you a good base to grow a family.
00:40:20.720 Gives you an ability to do other things. In a very basic level, when you get married,
00:40:26.080 you don't need to worry so much about who's going to cook and who's going to clean and who's going to
00:40:29.940 do the dishes and who's going to pay the bills. You've agreed to that, and then you've moved
00:40:32.900 forward and you're working together. Kanye, this reaction, this kind of crazy Hollywood reaction
00:40:40.320 to his wife's new boyfriend is actually probably the best argument Kanye has made for why we should
00:40:46.200 elect him president. I'm not saying he should actually be president, but I am saying he is
00:40:51.300 seeing something politically that we should see as well. We've got to get tough. We've got to
00:40:58.760 put some more boundaries on things if we want to have true freedom. This is actually a perfect
00:41:05.300 example of this. In New York City right now, well, in cities around the country, but especially New
00:41:09.460 York, crime is going through the roof. Crime is going through the roof. There was a horrible story
00:41:14.800 of a man who just attacked some poor Thai woman on the subway platform. This man had 44 previous
00:41:23.420 arrests, but he was walking around free. Now, according to the left, the way to expand freedom
00:41:28.240 is to let the criminals out of jail and not to arrest them in the first place. Actually, I think
00:41:33.060 it would expand the freedom of this Thai woman and every ordinary citizen of New York. If you threw
00:41:38.400 the criminals in prison, restrict that freedom, restrict that license, you're going to expand freedom
00:41:45.040 for all of the citizens. This man, it's a hard video to watch. There's a man who just approaches
00:41:52.660 this woman on the platform and just beats the living hell out of her. A man, he's in Queens.
00:41:58.560 He's got 44 arrests in his life, charged on Thursday for the brutal mugging in November of
00:42:05.640 this Thai woman, which took place in Manhattan. So it's in the supposedly the safest borough of New York.
00:42:12.060 The guy grabbed this woman from behind, dragged her, then threw her to the ground, punched her in the
00:42:17.300 face four times, then made off with her purse. Oh, he sexually assaulted her too, by the way.
00:42:22.020 Okay. This animal, this attacker should be put away from society.
00:42:31.520 He's an, he's a beast. He's an animal. He shouldn't be allowed in free, polite society.
00:42:39.780 I believe in second chances. I really do. I think people, even who commit really terrible crimes,
00:42:45.740 I believe in second chances. I sometimes even believe in third chances. What I do not believe
00:42:53.360 in is 45th chances. I think 45th chances is a little bit too far. And by the way, obviously it
00:43:01.120 would have been much better for this woman that he just brutalized if this animal had been put in
00:43:06.080 prison and not allowed out. Obviously it would be better for the people of New York who now,
00:43:12.080 they have to fear for their lives every time they get on a subway, even in Manhattan, which is the
00:43:16.120 safe borough. But it would be better for him too. I don't think he's living a particularly flourishing
00:43:23.680 life, mugging women and engaging in more and more crime and vice and sin and living like a filthy,
00:43:30.740 disgusting animal, giving away his humanity, throwing it away so that he can take some woman's
00:43:36.820 dignity and take her purse and run away and go do it to someone else. I don't think that's good
00:43:41.620 for him. I think it would be much better for him if he were locked up, being punished, being
00:43:48.680 rehabilitated, doing a little introspection maybe, and perhaps even repenting and perhaps even turning
00:43:54.800 his life around. He's not going to do that on the streets. The only way he's going to do that is in
00:43:59.640 prison. And the left won't do it. And what it really comes down to is their perverted conception
00:44:08.360 of freedom. I think they really believe, like Rashida Tlaib says, you got to abolish the prisons.
00:44:14.780 The reason we have oppression in America is because we lock up these animals, people who mug women and
00:44:22.400 sexually assault them 44, 45 times. And then because we lock those people up, that's why we don't have
00:44:27.800 freedom in America. No, it's the opposite. Of course it's the opposite. So the Russians are
00:44:31.780 expected to invade Ukraine. The Russians are expected to invade Ukraine tomorrow.
00:44:37.380 Will they do it? I don't know. Maybe. They've done it before. They invaded Crimea and kept it.
00:44:42.740 They invaded Georgia on George Bush's watch. Bush repelled them though, and so they didn't keep
00:44:48.320 Georgia. So they've done it before. They certainly want to. Ukraine is one of the most conquered
00:44:52.660 countries in the history of the world. It's been conquered by the Soviets, conquered by the
00:44:57.780 Tsarist Russians before the Soviets took over, conquered by the Austro-Hungarian empire, conquered
00:45:05.180 by the Ottoman empire, even conquered by the Poles. The Poles are themselves one of the most conquered
00:45:09.140 countries on earth and the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth conquered Ukraine. So are the
00:45:13.200 Russians interested in taking Ukraine? Obviously. Are they going to do it? I don't know. I don't know
00:45:20.540 that they will. Maybe they will. Maybe they won't. I think a lot of people are skeptical though.
00:45:26.080 That this is going to go down the way that the State Department is saying that it's going to go
00:45:32.120 down. I think a lot of people are reluctant for war, even if the Russians do invade. And why?
00:45:44.520 Why are they skeptical? Because the United States has squandered its foreign credibility. And it's
00:45:53.240 not just Democrats. It's primarily Democrats, but it's not just Democrats. Joe Biden the other day
00:45:58.260 was asked about a new army report that came out. The army has a report on the withdrawal from
00:46:04.800 Afghanistan, and the report is devastating for the political leaders there. Biden just completely
00:46:10.440 botched that thing. And Joe Biden dismissed the army report.
00:46:15.280 Does any of that ring true to you?
00:46:17.380 No. No. That's not what I was told.
00:46:24.380 That you were told that the U.S. administration officials were prepared, they knew it was time
00:46:30.480 to get out?
00:46:31.360 No. What I was told, no one told me that, look, there was no good time to get out. But if we had
00:46:36.720 not gotten out, they acknowledged that we would have had to put a hell of a lot more troops back
00:46:40.360 in. It wasn't just 2,000, 4,000. We would have to significantly increase the number of troops
00:46:45.480 and we were back in this war of attrition. And there was no way we were ever going to unite
00:46:52.760 Ukraine. I mean, excuse me, Iraq, Afghanistan. No way that was going to happen. And so this is a much
00:47:01.440 wiser thing to do. I just want to clarify, are you rejecting the conclusions or the accounts that
00:47:06.960 are in this army report?
00:47:07.980 Yes, I am.
00:47:09.220 So they're not true?
00:47:10.580 I'm rejecting them.
00:47:12.180 Joe Biden, he says, no, forget that. Don't believe your lying eyes. No, you've got to believe
00:47:17.300 the government. You've got to believe the intelligence agencies. You've got to believe
00:47:19.840 the Pentagon, except when they disagree with me, in which case you should never believe them.
00:47:22.940 Don't worry. Afghanistan was great. But it's bigger than Afghanistan.
00:47:26.140 What about Libya? Remember when Obama invaded Libya for basically no good reason? Remember that?
00:47:32.800 And then Libya got worse after the invasion? Remember that? Remember the complete botched
00:47:39.580 foreign policy in Syria and Iraq? Remember all of that? And now the American people say,
00:47:49.040 we don't want you invading Ukraine. And I can't blame them. Even if there were a good reason to
00:47:54.940 invade Ukraine, even if the intelligence agencies had 100% credibility, State Department, 100%
00:48:00.500 credibility, the Pentagon top brass, these woke political jerks who are turning our army into a
00:48:08.060 gender studies seminar, even if they were all 100% right, they've squandered their credibility. And so
00:48:14.260 the American people don't really buy it. And I think the most devastating part of all for them
00:48:20.280 is the American people are looking around at our own country. And they're saying, hold on,
00:48:26.720 we're not enforcing the laws. We've got crime going through the roof. We've got actual insurrections
00:48:31.360 here, like BLM burning the country down for eight months. We've got no borders. We've got millions of
00:48:37.080 foreigners pouring across our border. Even if it's for good, good reason, even if it's to have a better
00:48:43.400 life, even if it's for economic opportunity, it is quite literally an invasion. I'm not saying it's an
00:48:48.520 invasion led by some military commander, but it's people going from their country that they're
00:48:52.820 supposed to be in and taking over another country. And they're looking around at that. And they're
00:48:58.840 saying, before, before we go over there, how about we get our problems fixed over here?
