00:00:58.640 Glenn Diagram says, has anyone ever seen Father Rehill and Glenn Beck in the same room before?

00:01:05.740 I get...

00:01:06.960 No.

00:01:07.940 I could...

00:01:08.860 You do bear some resemblance to Glenn.

00:01:10.860 I don't think so.

00:01:11.600 You don't?

00:01:11.980 No.

00:01:12.120 I see where the commenter is coming from.

00:01:15.500 I was told at the last conference I was at that I look like the British baking man.

00:01:19.960 I don't know his name.

00:01:21.180 Anybody know his name?

00:01:22.300 We're a baking show.

00:01:23.620 The great...

00:01:24.520 Hollywood.

00:01:25.340 Paul Hollywood, maybe?

00:01:26.340 Okay.

00:01:26.960 Now I can't unsee it.

00:01:28.200 So now you're the great British Bake Off guy.

00:01:30.040 Okay.

00:01:30.440 All right.

00:01:43.700 Welcome to Off the Clock.

00:01:45.680 I am Michael Knowles.

00:01:46.740 I guess this is a show now.

00:01:48.060 I don't know.

00:01:48.520 This started because Matt Walsh and I were hanging out at a Mayflower cigar retailer in Idaho.

00:01:54.020 We decided to film it and take questions from Twitter.

00:01:56.820 There are always the most sane, balanced takes and questions on Twitter.

00:02:00.460 And now we're at another great Mayflower retailer, which is Nashville Cigar in Nashville, Tennessee.

00:02:06.000 And I'm joined by my friend, Father Dan Rehill, the Catholic priest and exorcist and a tobacco man.

00:02:13.880 But you're not smoking right now.

00:02:15.220 I'm not smoking right now.

00:02:15.960 That's fair enough.

00:02:16.780 I'll smoke enough cigars for the two of us.

00:02:19.460 That's right.

00:02:20.400 So, I fear subjecting you to the premise of this show.

00:02:27.020 Oh, do not be afraid.

00:02:28.120 As an exorcist, you've seen worse.

00:02:30.200 Or at least on part.

00:02:31.280 We'll see, we'll see.

00:02:32.660 I posted here just some moments ago, sitting with my friend Father Rehill, for the next hour, ask us anything.

00:02:38.880 I'm just going to go down the line, because I don't even know what this is.

00:02:41.580 Satosh K. DeGator asks, what is your opinion on soul ties?

00:02:47.140 It's a real thing, yeah.

00:02:48.980 What is that? 0.80

00:02:49.780 um well ideally when a husband and when a man and a wife get married

00:02:55.360 on a valid true marriage you know you're uh the two shall become one yes it's said in the

00:03:01.520 scriptures and so your souls are united for this grace-filled moment in time when you're going to

00:03:08.180 go through you know earth until death together yeah and it's a good thing it's a positive thing

00:03:13.600 It's to help the couple flourish.

00:03:15.100 Yeah.

00:03:16.180 However, if you're just hooking up and having sex randomly, you can have an unholy soul tie with that person, which is why you sometimes find, um, people that they say, I just can't like quit this person.

00:03:29.420 I seem addicted or attracted.

00:03:31.400 I can't get away from them.

00:03:32.520 Yeah.

00:03:32.800 It's the soul tie and they can be broken very easily.

00:03:36.360 But if you don't know, you don't know.

00:03:38.800 How do you break it? 1.00

00:03:39.660 In the name of Jesus Christ, I break all unholy soul ties between this man and these women

00:03:45.380 or whatever, however many he can remember, and you break it, and then you cast any demons

00:03:51.580 associated with the soul ties to Jesus' cross to be dealt with by him. 0.60

00:03:55.900 So is it, not to be too graphic, I guess, about it, it's formed by having sex, basically? 0.83

00:04:02.740 Yeah.

00:04:03.740 I've heard some version of that before, you know, that the two become one, you know, and

00:04:08.900 this can obviously happen outside of marriage but after the mass i think the union of a husband

00:04:14.100 and wife in the marital embrace is probably the most sacred thing that happens on the planet

00:04:18.980 because it's the only time man participates in creation and even the angels can't do this

00:04:24.500 and so when they look at the tremendous power that god has given us to collaborate with him

00:04:29.380 and bringing forth a new life that will exist forever and never it will be either in heaven

00:04:34.180 her help until eternity. It goes on forever. It's a huge thing. And there's such, of course,

00:04:41.320 the way hell has diminished the sexual act and turned it to something that's so debased and

00:04:47.660 violent in many ways for that very reason. They don't want people understanding what a beautiful

00:04:53.560 and sacred gift it is. That makes sense. Jonathan asks, assuming the good father has spoken to

00:04:59.880 demons in his career, has he ever spoken to an angel? Okay, let's clarify. I do not speak to

00:05:05.460 demons. I command them. I do not speak to them. Because there was a little bit of a controversy

00:05:10.820 with another exodus recently about that very point. We don't do that. We're not supposed to do

00:05:15.200 that. But they do get commanded in the name of Jesus to go and shut up and stop behaving so badly.

00:05:21.340 But you're not having conversations with them. No, I'm not talking with them. Angels are different

00:05:25.140 because we can ask them for help.

00:05:27.020 And so I do speak to my guardian angel every morning

00:05:29.740 at the beginning of the day.

00:05:30.540 I said, you know all that's coming.

00:05:32.520 And when you see it coming,

00:05:33.560 if I need to be shifted in one way or another,

00:05:35.660 just move me.

00:05:37.540 He doesn't talk back to me that I hear,

00:05:39.980 but I do, I thank him every day

00:05:43.180 and I ask him for help every day.

00:05:44.380 Do you say the prayer that you taught as a kid?

00:05:46.760 No, I just talk like I'm talking to a regular person.

00:05:50.300 Yeah, yeah, yeah, it makes sense.

00:05:52.220 Joey asks, what does an exorcism look like?

00:05:54.500 described to a guy who has only seen movies well uh they vary in in the way the manifestations occur

00:06:03.540 um i will say this the movie nefarious is probably the most accurate depiction of a

00:06:09.240 possession that's ever been portrayed in tv or movies that's in fact when i met the producers

00:06:14.920 i said i don't know how you got this made because he kind of all his secrets are being revealed

00:06:19.760 and they said no it was very hard it took years and we didn't think it was going to get done

00:06:24.100 finally. But when it did get done, I said, well, you've done a great service to a lot of people

00:06:29.980 who don't believe the devil's real. And he works so slowly and meticulously and patiently. Did you

00:06:35.900 see the movie? I did. I thought I was actually just- You know the point when he says, okay,

00:06:38.300 come into me. And then he's like, nothing happened. He's like, no, but he's waiting for the moment

00:06:42.480 that he really wants to use you. And that's going to be in that prisons, the jail cell,

00:06:46.900 the execution scene. So yeah, don't be too curious about what the devil's doing.

00:06:51.100 It's not a virtue, curiosity. Focus on God and be a true disciple of Jesus Christ,

00:06:57.160 and you'll be fine. This is a related question. What is the best way to shield

00:07:01.700 myself and family from demonic influences? Just that. Be a true disciple.

00:07:06.640 The Catholic faith is the fullness of the truth, so the sacramental life is

00:07:11.260 tremendously grace-filled. If you're not Catholic and you want to at least

00:07:15.400 investigate. Go read some of the church fathers. Go read Ignatius of Antioch. Go read Tertullian.

00:07:22.300 I mean, it's all right there. We've been doing this for 2,000 years. When he said do this in

00:07:27.300 memory of me, he was talking about the mass. Yeah. Justin Martyr. Justin Martyr writes about

00:07:32.320 the Eucharist. We have a hostile question from Pius XII's lawyer. Ask father how he squares his

00:07:37.620 terrible Christian Zionism with what the church has taught for 2,000 years. Now that's the Twitter 0.93

00:07:43.320 I expected. And you can't have a conversation on Twitter without it becoming about the state of

00:07:48.040 Israel after about 47 seconds. Well, what do you seem presuming? I really haven't talked about

00:07:53.160 Israel in any post. Yeah, that doesn't matter. That will never stop anyone from asking about it. 0.99

00:07:57.620 It is all. It's all anyone on Twitter wants to talk about. I think it's because most of Twitter

00:08:02.960 conversations are emerging from bot farms in Pakistan. But I guess some actual human beings 0.97

00:08:07.540 are talking about it. Is there some view that a Catholic has to hold on this question? The

00:08:12.300 Vatican's given guidance, obviously, over the years. That covenant was valid until it ended

00:08:18.240 with the new covenant. Jesus said, this is the new covenant in my blood. That's the covenant

00:08:26.140 that will last for eternity. So come on. The objective was everybody to move over and just

00:08:31.300 come along. What happened? So when you go back to Deuteronomy, Leviticus, Numbers, when God says,

00:08:38.180 this is how you will worship me, he was very clear. There will be a priest. There'll be an

00:08:42.020 altar there'll be an animal sacrifice there'll be blood yeah and the covenant was in the blood

00:08:46.160 that went on right up until uh jesus came and then jesus established the new covenant then

00:08:52.200 jesus sends the father and then in 70 the temple is destroyed and they don't know what to do so

00:08:57.160 they have a council and they decide we're gonna read from the scrolls and give a teaching yeah

00:09:01.680 fire the priests we don't need them make more rabbis we need more rabbis build more synagogues

00:09:06.300 And that's what they've been doing for 2,000 years. No new king, no new prophet, nothing happened.

00:09:12.860 You must, at some point, you have to reevaluate. Did we miss something? Because nothing's happened.

00:09:18.460 Okay? The irony is when Calvin and Luther and all these break away, they adopt the inert model.

00:09:24.040 No priest, no altar, no blood, no sacrifice.

00:09:26.660 Right. A primarily, if not exclusively, didactic exercise.

00:09:31.720 Yeah. I mean, it's very clear. I'm not punching down on anybody. I'm just saying this is what happened. And we want everybody to be Catholic. We're not trying to be exclusive. We want you to come in. But you have to take a moment to just say, is it possible I got this wrong? Maybe this is the answer. Maybe this is the way. This is the church Jesus founded.

00:09:56.580 I heartily agree. As you may have guessed.

00:10:00.320 Heartily.

00:10:00.760 I heartily. I heartily. Not hardly.

00:10:02.760 Because some of the kids in confession, I heart...

00:10:06.760 Mariano asks, what invites possession?

00:10:10.760 One mortal sin is all takes. Now, that rarely happens.

00:10:14.760 For people who don't know, because some of my friends, you know, especially certain schools of Protestantism,

00:10:21.760 they either don't know about or don't believe in a distinction between a mortal sin and a venial sin.

00:10:27.760 Well, it's actually scriptural as well.

00:10:29.760 right from st john yeah yeah uh but the but a moral grave sin something that is grave you know

00:10:35.980 murder uh blasphemy uh sexual proclivity outside of marriage doing all sorts of things you shouldn't

00:10:45.660 be doing there's there's many ways but the fastest way is to get into witchcraft or the occult

00:10:51.060 that's that's like straight you're going all in two feet and you will think you have power for a

00:10:56.800 while because that's how they get seduced is that they're going to have all these things that they're

00:11:00.640 going to be able to do and cast curses and spells. But eventually the devil turns on everybody and

00:11:06.420 there's no favorites. He hates all of humanity. Doesn't sound very attractive actually.

00:11:11.140 Can the laity affect, you're going to have to explain to me this question. Can the laity affect

00:11:16.960 ex operae operantis ecclesiae or is it just the clergy of the church that affect it? Thank you.

00:11:23.760 God bless. Did you catch the ex op? My Latin is a little weak. Ex operae. Operantis. Operantis.

00:11:30.960 Okay. So that means that the work is done by the people, not by itself. So the sacraments

00:11:36.560 are ex operae operato. The work is performed from themselves, right? And the grace is there

00:11:42.560 as long as you have the right manner and form, it will happen. I could execute all the altar 0.99

00:11:47.760 servers in the sacristy right before mass and still celebrate a valid mass. I will be going to 0.95

00:11:52.960 hell but the bread and wine will become the body and blood of jesus right he does not hold his

00:11:58.000 people captive by bad priests however when it comes to operantis we're talking about uh the

00:12:04.720 work comes from the faith and the virtue of the one ministering the the blessing and the one

00:12:10.000 receiving it so exorcism falls under that holy water blessed salt all the sacramentals

00:12:16.880 medals all that falls under that so if you go to a priest and say can you make my water holy water

00:12:21.760 and he does this and walks away, go find another priest.

00:12:25.700 You want somebody who's going to invest the time

00:12:27.600 and the effort to put in the right formula,

00:12:29.800 use the racism salt, put on a stole, all of it. 0.99

00:12:33.800 Mr. Omega, I know that Jehovah's Witnesses are false, 0.99

00:12:36.480 but is there genuine occult or free Masonic behavior 1.00

00:12:39.400 happening in them like the Mormons? 0.68

00:12:41.740 They really wanted to offend as many people as possible with that question. 0.87

00:12:45.520 This is specifically, I guess, about Jehovah's Witnesses.

00:12:48.320 Is it occult or Masonic?

00:12:50.800 I've never heard that the Jehovah's Witnesses were Masonic.

00:12:52.840 Yeah, I've not heard that either. 0.98

00:12:54.840 I would just put them into another religion that has moments of truth, but not all.

00:13:01.540 That's all I can say.

00:13:03.720 Is LDS Masonic?

00:13:05.520 I've never heard of that.

00:13:06.960 I haven't heard that either.

00:13:07.580 Yeah, okay.

00:13:08.280 All right.

00:13:08.840 It's a very Twitter, though.

00:13:09.860 Very Twitter question.

00:13:11.160 How did you get Sotan, asks leftists of Minnesota.

00:13:14.760 I spent a lot of time outside.

00:13:16.940 Don't do it.

00:13:17.420 I was just in Montana on a mountain for a week outside.

00:13:20.800 Sean asks, what do you make of J.D. Vance's comment that aliens are probably demons?

00:13:25.580 Yeah, I agree with him.

00:13:26.720 Yeah.

00:13:27.860 I think I've said that for years, as has Ripperger.

00:13:32.200 He may have gotten it from you.

00:13:33.200 There's probably five exes that have all said that.

00:13:37.280 Sadly, one of them got penalized.

00:13:39.500 That's right.

00:13:40.160 Oh, yes, he was.

00:13:42.160 His faculties or something were taken away, right?

00:13:44.460 Yeah.

00:13:44.880 Why is that?

00:13:46.040 You'd have to ask the Cardinal.

00:13:47.660 I don't know.

00:13:48.520 Maybe he's a big Star Wars guy.

00:13:49.980 I have no idea.

00:13:50.800 I don't know.

00:13:51.860 I don't know them.

00:13:52.940 But I have always or long assumed that aliens are either an illusion or a foreign government

00:14:01.320 or something or demonic.

00:14:04.080 There is a line in the catechism that says that man is the only corporal being that can

00:14:10.220 know, love, and serve God.

00:14:11.600 We know the angels can, but they don't have bodies.

00:14:13.720 So that kind of, it's not scripture, but it is the catechism.

00:14:17.480 Right.

00:14:18.360 Question from David.

00:14:19.220 do demons benefit from media exposure? Should exorcism return to being something clandestine?

00:14:25.640 Why or why not? I'm not sure if it ever was clandestine. Well, clearly before TV and radio

00:14:33.060 and all the other things, it would have been much more private. Exorcists weren't even known by the

00:14:39.280 public. Okay. That's true. What happened? Life changed. And our job gets more difficult when

00:14:47.340 people are uneducated about the facts of what you should and shouldn't be doing. And so gradually

00:14:54.040 more and more exorcists started posting just for the catechesis and education of the public

00:14:59.280 in hopes that our job would get easier. That's it. And does that benefit the demons? No.

00:15:07.300 Can media benefit the demons? Absolutely. Anything that perpetuates sin is going to

00:15:11.960 make the demon's life easier so like look at it all the social media all the envy

00:15:17.820 all the the anger the pride all the pride uh it's all yeah i mean somebody once said something to

00:15:25.820 me they said you know instagram is selling you envy twitter is selling you anger and facebook's

00:15:32.960 just selling you what is linkedin is that avarice maybe yeah i don't i don't know love father dan

00:15:41.320 I'll be watching, but Ava does not have a question.

00:15:43.840 The power of X compels me to watch this.

00:15:45.960 Okay, fair enough.

00:15:46.720 Is smoking a sin?

00:15:48.820 Asks Josiah.

00:15:49.740 I hope not.

00:15:50.680 I would probably put it in venial just because it is working against your health.

00:15:56.880 Now, is there an argument, as I've made to my wife?

00:15:59.500 However, all the priests I know in Italy smoke.

00:16:01.200 Yeah, that's a requirement.

00:16:04.160 That's right.

00:16:04.760 Padre Pio.

00:16:05.240 I think there's a story that one of the signs of his bilocation or something was tobacco.

00:16:10.220 Yeah.

00:16:10.340 And yeah, okay. All right. That actually makes me feel better. Because I've argued to my wife that smoking can have health benefits, smoking cigars, because it relaxes you and stress is a real killer. But I'm just going to rest it on it. Good enough for Padre Pio. Good enough for me. I'll take it.

00:16:24.820 Probably a good stance.

00:16:26.680 A number of people noting the similarity to Glenn Beck. Apparently that's a very widespread observation. Josh says, specifically as an exorcist, does his practice differ much from that of Eastern Orthodox?

00:16:40.340 I don't know what they do, to be honest. 0.99

00:16:42.440 Right.

00:16:43.060 You never see an Eastern Orthodox exorcist in a movie.

00:16:46.000 No.

00:16:47.180 And we didn't have any in our exorcism school in Rome either.

00:16:52.100 So I'm not sure where they're going.

00:16:54.000 Huh.

00:16:54.620 But you do work with Protestant ministers who are doing deliverances and things like that.

00:16:59.500 Not really.

00:17:00.060 I mean, there's a guy up here in Nashville, Greg something.

00:17:06.920 thing okay and he actually just i think he was on tour with um oh erica erica i think he was on that

00:17:14.100 oh wow thing yeah but he had some trouble like he was he was learning on his own and so he called

00:17:20.040 for some help and he wanted to like sit in on him i'm like no it's not a spectator sport you're not

00:17:25.040 you don't get to do that uh and then he got shot up his house got shot up with like 20 rounds and

00:17:32.940 And I think he backed off a little bit.

00:17:36.180 I'm not saying they're related, but he just said, I'm going to reevaluate.

00:17:40.640 Yes.

00:17:42.060 Correlation is not causation necessarily, but a lot of times it is.

00:17:48.260 Could be.

00:17:48.940 Wow.

00:17:49.780 Gilbert asks, do people have dreams that can be considered divine in origin?

00:17:53.880 If they only brought the person closer to God in the church, I can give specific examples,

00:17:58.400 but I'm hesitant to do so publicly.

00:18:00.260 Why?

00:18:01.320 Yeah, why?

00:18:01.720 Why are you so afraid of that?

00:18:02.580 saint joseph all of his instruction was given in dreams that we know of so answer is yes yeah

00:18:09.220 right that's right i like maybe the most important dream yeah get out of town maybe any of us have

00:18:16.460 ever get out of town now uh one can only hope you'd get that dream it's time chris asks what

00:18:24.060 are the best pieces of scripture to lean on when entering a marriage do you have any prayers you

00:18:28.120 recommend when your loved ones are going through hardship? Well, specific scriptures,

00:18:33.180 you're going to have to, people are different. Different scriptures speak to different people.

00:18:38.380 However, pray the rosary with your spouse and your marriage will get healed. Pray it every day

00:18:43.200 together for the benefit of the other person in the marriage. So I'm praying this for you,

00:18:47.100 honey. You're praying for me. And we're asking Jesus to come into this marriage and repair

00:18:51.600 whatever needs to repair it. I just give it 30 days and I guarantee you'll see a change.

00:18:55.460 Good advice.

00:18:56.480 Michigan Joneson says, have you ever experienced a possession where language becomes incomprehensible?

00:19:02.780 Yes, I barely speak English. 0.99

00:19:04.480 So for me, it's very difficult when they start doing all the strange tongues. 1.00

00:19:10.100 I wouldn't even know what they are unless I recorded them.

00:19:13.080 I mean, I could tell Latin when I hear it.

00:19:14.720 But a lot of time, they're just, it's not something I know what it is.

00:19:17.960 It could be a language, I don't know.

00:19:19.400 Right, right.

00:19:20.420 We're getting some repeat.

00:19:21.140 There's nothing about anything else?

00:19:23.280 other than exorcism you mean well you got one marriage question you got a lot of you got a lot

00:19:29.420 of glenn back yeah let's see hold on here's another one exorcist can he exercise the entire

00:19:33.620 democrat party by chance they seem to be in need of that help the republicans could use it half the

00:19:39.420 time too okay conservadoxy says socialism is born out of materialism but the pursuit of god is

00:19:44.200 founded on both immaterial and material grounds because of christ how exactly do we counter the

00:19:49.180 material efforts of secular thought in order to better focus on that which has married the two

00:19:54.100 together. More of a political philosophy question maybe than theology. Can you dumb that down for

00:19:59.420 me? Yeah. The modern secular world is fundamentally materialist. I guess I would challenge the

00:20:06.360 premise though in the sense that like transgenderism is a more of a Gnostic ideology.

00:20:11.280 It says it's really kind of the opposite of materialism. It says your true self is not your 0.58

00:20:14.940 body. So I don't know. Yeah, I guess post Marx, everyone is kind of materialist and we deny the

00:20:20.760 soul and we deny love and dreams and hopes and all that, but not really, you know, we don't

00:20:25.080 actually live that way. So yeah, I guess I would question the premise. Okay. So I have friends

00:20:32.760 who are very Catholic and very much in love with God. And I have friends that have no relationship

00:20:39.000 with God and both can be good people, right? But the difference is they see everything through a

00:20:44.540 different lens. The two lenses are different. When St. Paul says, be transformed by the renewal of

00:20:49.460 your mind to know what is good, pleasing, and whatever the rest of it is, that's what he's

00:20:57.780 talking about. You have to make your hunched decision to start seeing things through the eyes

00:21:02.260 of the way God, not that we can know his mind perfectly, but we want to know things through

00:21:07.320 that lens. How would he be perceiving this situation? He's always looking for everyone

00:21:12.380 getting to heaven right yeah and he gives a lot of time for people that are off the track i was off

00:21:17.280 the track for a long time and he waited patiently until i got back on the track right but i think we

00:21:24.100 have to view people not in terms of do they agree with what i believe but are they created by god

00:21:31.880 and loved by god it has to be something in them that i can you know find pleasant yeah you know

00:21:37.820 i mean with rare exception if you're a mass murderer you know it's gonna be harder yeah

00:21:43.180 but do we bump into those people every day no i don't yeah but you know the the guy cuts you off

00:21:48.140 on the highway every time i get on 65. uh you know one day i was really pissed off and i i i kind of

00:21:57.100 muttered something and the lord spoke right to me in my heart and he said if you knew what they were

00:22:01.740 going through you would you would be so sad for them and then i felt horrible of course i had to

00:22:08.620 speed up to see this person because i'm like let's see what they look like and they were crying

00:22:13.140 really yeah they were something was going on in their life that was very traumatic and they were

00:22:18.380 they were crying as they were driving they weren't really paying attention to the road that's why they

00:22:21.440 wove in and out but that i never forgot that because i always think in terms of well that

00:22:26.560 was one thing then recently i was in seattle and they picked me up in a tesla that drove itself

00:22:33.800 and the guy who's supposed to be driving is doing on his phone he's chit-chatting like this and the

00:22:39.760 car is weaving in the traffic weaving changing lanes and i go aren't you going to pay attention

00:22:45.560 he doesn't know the cars it does it knows what it's doing he goes however sometimes it does try

00:22:51.060 to pass somebody and they cut it too close and it will cut somebody off so if you ever get cut

00:22:56.280 by a Tesla, it could be the car. Yeah, okay. And then I won't feel bad about cursing off the car,

00:23:00.900 purely material. Right. So we don't always know. It's really, you can see what the behavior is,

00:23:06.640 but you don't know why it's happening. That's an amazing story. Not because

00:23:11.300 God spoke to you, because God does speak to people. And like, it's all true. The thing is,

00:23:16.320 it's all true, but it's often very surprising, even if we tell ourselves that. But someone

00:23:22.080 listening to that story would say, well, no, look, you're a Catholic priest. You're trained

00:23:26.580 and formed in such a way that you are more inclined to consider the other person and not

00:23:31.460 to fall. I'm a cynical New Yorker. So that's not true. Before I was a priest, when I worked on

00:23:37.360 wall street, um, one day, this is post-conversion. So I was fully active in my faith, but I'm walking

00:23:43.340 down that long walk of Broadway to the down to wall. And at the bottom, there's a park. It was

00:23:50.960 the middle of winter was freezing had a big wool coat on and i gave that voice again said to me

00:23:55.500 go into the park there's someone who's under the tree who's going to die if you don't get them up

00:24:00.760 because they have no coat on and it's like 10 degrees so i'm like is this me yeah yeah well

00:24:07.380 let's just see right i go into the park right under the he said it was under a big pine tree

00:24:10.920 on the big tree there's a guy laying there in a t-shirt and jeans passed out and i'm like wow

00:24:16.160 this is actually real so i wake him up and i bring him over the 120 wall which is the building across

00:24:21.780 from my building 111 wall and there's but they had that portico that was heated so i said you're

00:24:27.060 going to warm up here just stay here and then i took off my coat and gave it to him and i'm walking

00:24:31.440 away and realized oh crap my keys are in the coat so i got running back and he had this horrible

00:24:35.480 face of sadness they thought i was taking the coat back i'm like no i just want the keys give me the

00:24:39.180 keys any of my keys keep the coat i went went along my day but like when that stuff happens

00:24:45.560 It's his way of letting you know, that is me speaking to you.

00:24:48.560 Yeah, right.

00:24:49.500 It's not just your own head.

00:24:50.660 No, I couldn't make that up.

00:24:52.180 Right.

00:24:52.820 And you can't, even just the tears coming down the driver's face, in a way, it's almost

00:24:57.660 more a sign for you than anything else.

00:24:59.820 Because there's this line right at the beginning of the Summa Theologiae, where St. Thomas,

00:25:03.900 it's like page one, effectively.

00:25:06.720 It says, you know, when you're reading, when you're exegeting scripture, letters and words

00:25:12.460 are signs.

00:25:13.900 They're symbols and signs.

00:25:15.080 they signify something else. But because God is the author of creation, things are signs as well.

00:25:21.980 It's not just conventional signs like letters and words, but like the guy driving and the tree and

00:25:27.820 all. Those are signs. Those are meaningful. And you can actually, you're not imbuing them with

00:25:32.520 meaning. God has imbued them with meaning that you are perceiving. This is for everybody.

00:25:36.380 I hope the coat wasn't. God wants to speak to everybody.

00:25:39.000 I hope the coat wasn't too expensive. Was it? It was a nice coat.

00:25:42.480 He was a nice coat.

00:25:43.660 Of course.

00:25:44.240 You're down on Wall Street.

00:25:45.280 They come and go.

00:25:46.940 Go to go.pepperdine.edu slash dailywire.

00:25:49.500 Every important decision is made by someone,

00:25:51.300 every law, every policy,

00:25:52.320 every national security decision,

00:25:53.920 every city budget,

00:25:54.960 someone is sitting in that room.

00:25:56.100 The question is who?

00:25:57.340 Who is it?

00:25:58.660 Hmm?

00:26:00.060 Well, these questions are exactly why programs

00:26:02.500 like Pepperdine's School of Public Policy matter.

00:26:04.940 Students earn a master's of public policy

00:26:06.700 with customized studies around American politics,

00:26:09.100 national security, local government,

00:26:10.480 depending on where they feel called to serve.

00:26:12.560 One of the things that makes the program especially unique is the setting.

00:26:15.960 Students spend time in Malibu overlooking the Pacific and in Washington, D.C.,

00:26:20.000 just blocks from the White House, learning not only in the classroom,

00:26:23.720 but in places where ideas and policy actually intersect.

00:26:26.800 Most important, Pepperdine still believes the purpose of higher education

00:26:30.160 is to pursue the truth, not just to embrace ideological conformity.

00:26:34.200 If you are serious about serving your community or even serving your country,

00:26:37.360 Pepperdine's School of Public Policy is worth exploring.

00:26:39.840 Go to go.pepperdine.edu slash dailywire.

00:26:42.820 That is go.pepperdine.edu slash dailywire, D-A-I-L-Y-W-I-R-E.

00:26:50.060 Head on over there right now.

00:26:51.500 Great, great school.

00:26:52.780 How did Father receive his call, asks Joey.

00:26:55.240 I literally heard the words come follow me audibly like we're speaking.

00:26:59.320 Did you know that?

00:27:00.280 I don't think I knew that.

00:27:01.400 I knew the circumstances around it.

00:27:02.960 Uh-huh, yeah.

00:27:03.620 So I came back to the church in Medjugorje.

00:27:06.340 I was away for 22 years.

00:27:08.360 Then I come back to New York City, and you have to start engaging your faith.

00:27:11.960 So I had to get rid of some friends that weren't that healthy.

00:27:14.800 I joined the Wall Street Young Catholic Association to make some new friends,

00:27:18.180 started going to daily mass, praying the rosary, all of it.

00:27:21.080 I was going to Our Lady of Victory, which is right there on Chase Plaza.

00:27:23.620 I would go to Our Lady of Victory.

00:27:25.080 And this little priest said, you know, you're going to need a spiritual director.

00:27:28.400 So I said, okay, does everybody have one?

00:27:30.560 He's like, no, but you'll need one.

00:27:32.260 I said, okay.

00:27:33.300 And the first thing he said was, did you ever ask God what he wanted to do with your life?

00:27:37.560 And I said, no.

00:27:39.140 Did anybody do that?

00:27:40.360 He goes, well, I did it.

00:27:41.320 I go, you're a priest.

00:27:42.660 I've asked all my college roommates.

00:27:44.700 There's a group of us.

00:27:45.540 We get together every year.

00:27:46.660 Does anybody, did anybody do that?

00:27:48.400 No, nobody did that.

00:27:49.520 But you know why?

00:27:50.080 Because in the 70s and 80s, you went through, we all went through prep schools.

00:27:55.780 You have a guidance counselor.

00:27:57.020 You take an aptitude test.

00:27:58.180 Oh, you're good with numbers.

00:27:58.960 You should go into finance or engineering or something like that.

00:28:01.880 And you go do that.

00:28:02.800 You find the college.

00:28:03.640 You get the job.

00:28:05.080 That's what we all did.

00:28:06.140 Nobody said, what do you want me to do, Lord?

00:28:08.660 So I would recommend that now to people, but I never heard that.

00:28:12.100 Do you know what my guidance counselor aptitude test told me I should be?

00:28:15.800 Politician?

00:28:17.640 Mime.

00:28:18.540 What?

00:28:19.100 Yes.

00:28:19.800 It said I should be...

00:28:21.420 Is that a joke?

00:28:21.620 I would have expected something like...

00:28:23.540 No.

00:28:24.500 And now I think it gave me some... 0.69

00:28:25.500 Who tells somebody to be a mime?

00:28:26.080 I think it gave some options.

00:28:27.400 I said, first of all, who wrote the test?

00:28:28.860 Yeah.

00:28:29.340 You could see actor, politician, whatever.

00:28:33.180 Mime.

00:28:33.960 Mime.

00:28:34.580 Like, you know...

00:28:35.860 gum behind the ear yeah wow yeah and i failed at that calling thank god yeah i've heard this i've

00:28:43.880 i have some friends who were you know they have like the uh the direct line to the holy ghost you

00:28:50.080 know they got the speed dial to the holy ghost who have told me experiences where they say yeah

00:28:53.920 i heard an audible that's the only time for me ever so i prayed that for 18 months lord what do

00:29:00.560 want from my life. On November 5th of 2000, I was sitting at Sunday Mass, 7.30 a.m. back at my

00:29:06.560 parish where my parents were, and there was nobody really sitting near me. And I was just

00:29:12.740 knelt down after communion, and I heard the voice say, come follow me. So I turn around,

00:29:16.240 and there's nobody there. And it dawns on me, oh, it's you. Okay. So I took Monday off to pray

00:29:22.480 about it, and Tuesday, I resign. This is not meant to be a glib question. What did he sound like?

00:29:28.380 strong a firm but compassionate it's an odd combination because it was very

00:29:36.140 clearly a strong voice but it wasn't it wasn't like anger or mean it's just

00:29:44.780 very confident come follow me wasn't a question hmm hmm like okay and oddly we

00:29:53.140 were talking about this before we sort of filling of course I ran out and got a

00:29:55.800 tattoo that said come follow me because that's what you do later on you say should i have gotten

00:30:02.500 is that the message you don't do that patty says i haven't been to confession in 20 plus years i'm

00:30:09.040 afraid to go help okay uh find a church that has a private confession that it's not face to face

00:30:16.960 i hate the face to face i don't even offer it yeah it's for my protection too did a good

00:30:21.620 examination of examination of conscience bulldog catholic is about the best one i've ever seen

00:30:25.680 just put into google examination of conscience bulldog catholic comes right up go through the

00:30:31.140 whole thing make a list if you have to go to the priest sit in there just say it's been 20 years i

00:30:37.440 need a little help but in the examination it'll give you the starting words make the sign of the

00:30:42.580 cross bless me father for i've sinned it's been 20 years you're gonna unload all your baggage and

00:30:48.340 you're gonna come out feeling like a million bucks yeah and you're gonna say why didn't i do this

00:30:53.260 sooner. So just do it. You have an intellect and a will, go do it. I asked you once, I said,

00:30:58.900 I noticed this thing where I go into confession, I've committed however many, whatever kind of

00:31:04.680 sins, and I'll be, it's not just that they're on my mind, but I'll, they'll physically sort of

00:31:09.760 manifest. And if I'm angry or if I'm lustful or if I'm feeling whatever, you know, these dispositions 0.80

00:31:15.460 and these activities kind of have physical aspects. And I said, I know why when I leave

00:31:20.280 the confessional i psychologically feel better but i've noticed i will physically yeah uh feel

00:31:26.820 different yep and you remember the answer you gave me because there's demons hooked into you

00:31:30.780 yes then you're like wow it feels so good yeah imagine operating at 20 and you don't know why

00:31:38.720 and then this happens you're like well we should be going like every week yeah our lady recommends

00:31:44.000 once a month but you know we have this thing like well the church says once a year that was like in

00:31:50.140 1658 when they had that mandate things have changed yeah you need to go more than once a year

00:31:55.560 yeah like tiktok exists now you know youtube and social media yes uh only fans only fans yeah right

00:32:03.360 i mean just i was thinking about this there is pornography or or quasi pornography on like every

00:32:10.180 social media platform yeah before you even get to like actual like hardcore pornography which is

00:32:16.840 the majority of the internet. You just think this is just the sin of our age, right?

00:32:24.300 Well, yeah. And what in Fatima, Our Lady said, souls are falling into hell like snowflakes in

00:32:31.460 a bonfire because primarily of impurity, sins against purity. So that was back when people

00:32:37.380 were dressed from their neck to their ankles in burlap.

00:32:39.800 Right. Because sometimes you hear this from the church even. They'll say, well, sexual sins

00:32:44.620 aren't the worst sins, which is true.

00:32:47.360 I think Leo just said that.

00:32:48.260 Right, but the Pope said that. 0.98

00:32:50.860 Yeah, but that can be true.

00:32:53.040 Like that was true for Dante.

00:32:54.140 That was true for a lot of theologians.

00:32:55.680 But it can also be true that sexual sin

00:32:57.720 is what leads most people to hell.

00:32:59.800 The problem with sexual impurity in our day and age

00:33:05.320 is it's right there at your fingertips 24 hours a day.

00:33:08.860 That was never the case.

00:33:10.400 If you wanted to look at dirty pictures,

00:33:12.200 You had to sneak down to the whatever store and, you know, buy the magazine, hide it, sneak it in your house.

00:33:18.140 In the foil, the magazine in the foil.

00:33:19.560 I mean, today the phone is such a bad thing, you know, in many ways because of that.

00:33:24.560 And just in the internet in general, you know, it's just opened up a world of impurity to everybody that has access to it.

00:33:32.260 Right.

00:33:32.840 Which is basically everybody in the Western world.

00:33:34.800 You're right.

00:33:35.340 And beyond even, yeah.

00:33:37.020 Hammer of Judea says, has he encountered Tucker's demon?

00:33:40.640 You know, there's a story Tucker said that he was lying in bed and a demon physically scratched him.

00:33:46.780 Oh, yes.

00:33:47.380 So I assume it's a slightly facetious question.

00:33:49.240 But it does lead to a real question, which is, can people, regardless, I don't know if it could have been Tucker's dog, I don't know what it was, but can demons scratch you?

00:33:58.380 Yes.

00:33:58.940 They can.

00:33:59.500 Yeah.

00:34:00.100 Yeah, I did have a case in Nashville with the man who lived alone with no pets, no children, no wife, was waking up with bite marks all over his body, including his back.

00:34:08.340 You can't bite your own back.

00:34:09.460 and it couldn't have been a spider or something you know no it was sets of teeth

00:34:14.020 was he um was he possessed or he was not possessed but he was oppressed

00:34:21.800 yeah i uh i went through a period a couple years ago where i kept getting woken up by a demon that

00:34:32.940 was suffocating me and i couldn't breathe and i couldn't get it off me and i couldn't reach the

00:34:38.000 crucifix above the bed. And so I would just say, in my mind, I'd say, in Jesus' name, get off.

00:34:43.840 And this went on, not every night, but like maybe once a week for a few weeks. And it was

00:34:47.520 starting to be annoying. Like, what am I doing wrong here? So one night I just took the rosary

00:34:53.520 from the nightstand. I took it into the bed with me and it never happened again. But here's what's

00:34:58.320 even weirder. About a month after that, I'm at a Boston Marian conference and Monty and Rosetti's 0.95

00:35:04.160 there he goes i have to tell you the weirdest thing that happened to me same exact thing he's

00:35:09.220 getting suffocated at night by this demon and then he takes his rosary and it stops so you go well

00:35:13.940 that that just happened to me a few months ago so this must be how god wants us to confirm that this

00:35:18.840 is actually a remedy right because why would we right right i i do keep rosaries like everywhere

00:35:26.740 not in a superstitious way i don't i don't want to do that but because it's convenient to pray

00:35:31.880 You can pray the rosary on your fingers, I guess, but then you kind of lose track or whatever.

00:35:36.480 In my mind, I lose track.

00:35:37.720 So I'm a more physical kind of person.

00:35:40.660 And so I'll keep a couple in the car, I'll keep by the bed, but that, yeah, it's weird

00:35:46.460 because, yeah, the way you describe it, it's like God is allowing the demon to teach.

00:35:51.540 To teach, yes, yeah.

00:35:52.740 So we can teach others.

00:35:53.740 Right.

00:35:54.060 But it's not, the demon does not intend to teach.

00:35:56.220 The demon intends to strangulate me.

00:35:58.240 Yeah, right, right.

00:35:59.660 It was a physical suffocation.

00:36:01.180 Yeah, I was thinking, is this how I'll be found?

00:36:04.560 Just lights out.

00:36:06.900 Yeah, that's not a good way to go.

00:36:10.540 It's not a bad way.

00:36:12.300 You're in a state of grace, I guess.

00:36:13.900 I mean, in bed, sleeping.

00:36:14.980 I mean, there's worse things that could happen.

00:36:16.940 James Calley says, why aren't exorcisms more publicized?

00:36:20.460 I feel like it could help convert a lot of people.

00:36:23.020 Yeah, like you sometimes see this, especially atheists and materialists who say,

00:36:27.660 I don't think this is true.

00:36:28.860 I think you're all making it up or you're all delusional or something.

00:36:31.180 You know, if demons and exorcisms and all this stuff were real, then wouldn't you want to show people?

00:36:37.760 Because, you know, it's like C.S. Lewis describing the scary, the uncanny, and the numinous.

00:36:42.040 If you could just convince them that this is real, you know, why don't you live stream an exorcism,

00:36:45.940 and then everyone will believe that demons exist, and then they'll believe God exists.

00:36:48.540 Because they won't believe.

00:36:50.380 They'll say it's AI, they'll say this.

00:36:52.360 You know, if I picked up a mountain and moved from here to there, a third of the people will right away believe.

00:36:56.780 A third of them will say that a mountain was always there, and a third won't know what to think.

00:36:59.900 yeah that's just the way people are yeah so because we have such a great dignity as being

00:37:05.160 human beings we would never sub subjugate a person to being just a tool a tool because you

00:37:12.800 want to see it yeah like that's so selfish and it's so like it's all about you yeah you want to

00:37:18.720 be the one what if you're the possessed person you want to become you know demon man when you

00:37:23.060 walk into the grocery there's demon man what happens when you go to church everyone's like

00:37:27.460 oh, that one. Yeah. Poor Mary Magdalene. She did have to deal with that because everybody knew her

00:37:32.260 as the woman with the seven demons. But for her, her love was at such a level of perfection for

00:37:38.660 Jesus that she didn't care. But most people would care. Yes. Yeah, right. Not everyone's Mary

00:37:43.660 Magdalene. D Halliburton says, can people listening to podcasters that are casting spells

00:37:49.560 and delusions and lies become bewitched? You can pick things up through the computer. One of the

00:37:55.520 worst cases i ever had was a guy christian catholic guy young 20s he was trying to open his third eye

00:38:01.560 through a youtube video and he felt the demon go into him and that guy suffered for years and the

00:38:07.380 third eye is like an occult new agey yeah it's your spiritual eye your material eye or who wants

00:38:14.840 that why do people want that they think it's going to bring them uh power knowledge that yeah the

00:38:21.340 hidden knowledge that nobody has yeah that is like i've had i've encountered people who are

00:38:26.400 pretty hippy dippy like crystal people ohms and all that kind of stuff more generally maybe on this

00:38:32.040 like you hear about this thing astral planing like a guy someone once told me that he's walked

00:38:36.920 on the sun i said like okay buddy but the idea of the astral planing i i guess is what that

00:38:43.420 a demon is actually giving you some real knowledge like the demon went to the sun

00:38:49.700 So in a way, it is kind of real.

00:38:53.300 Well, as long as what they're giving you is real.

00:38:55.880 Right. 0.98

00:38:56.440 Because they're liars. 1.00

00:38:58.460 They're liars. 0.99

00:38:59.580 Right. 1.00

00:39:00.080 That's their nature, to lie.

00:39:02.860 Yeah, not the best.

00:39:04.300 Okay, not the most reliable.

00:39:05.660 Okay.

00:39:06.360 Can you become possessed through certain types of music?

00:39:08.740 Well, they can be an open door, yes.

00:39:10.700 The metal music, I'm not going to name bands,

00:39:12.560 but back in the 80s, Father Carapi used to talk about this,

00:39:16.980 that when he was living the high life in LA as a multimillionaire in real estate, he was invited

00:39:21.920 to some of these major bands, uh, launch parties where they had black masses to consecrate the 0.86

00:39:27.420 album to the devil and he witnessed it. So, you know, it's firsthand information. So they, 0.72

00:39:33.060 they can do that. And then they can ask the demons to attach the people to, you know,

00:39:38.780 can give them some kind of a, that they want more and more of this music to,

00:39:42.220 and they keep purchasing

00:39:43.240 and buying it

00:39:43.900 and you know

00:39:44.500 it keeps them hooked into it

00:39:46.000 so

00:39:46.880 I don't

00:39:47.580 I don't think you want to do that

00:39:49.000 I think today

00:39:49.560 the rap music is worse

00:39:50.840 than metal

00:39:52.160 and vile

00:39:52.760 it's yeah 1.00

00:39:54.260 I've said to my wife

00:39:55.780 many times

00:39:56.340 that growing up

00:39:57.280 is realizing

00:39:57.880 your grandmother

00:39:58.440 was right about everything

00:39:59.300 I've come to this conclusion

00:40:01.340 I come to it more and more

00:40:02.220 each day

00:40:02.580 my grandmother

00:40:03.200 it turns out

00:40:03.920 was actually right about everything

00:40:04.980 because people are going to hear

00:40:06.120 what you say

00:40:06.540 and they're going to say

00:40:07.080 oh you sound like those 1.00

00:40:08.600 you know church ladies

00:40:09.620 from the 80s

00:40:10.200 just read the lyrics 0.99

00:40:11.900 When your lyrics are talking about raping people and killing people, that's not good. 0.99

00:40:16.200 Yeah. 0.96

00:40:17.100 You want to give you a kid that?

00:40:18.620 Right.

00:40:18.980 Good luck.

00:40:19.560 You don't get that in the Brandenburg concertos.

00:40:21.600 There's not a lot of raping.

00:40:22.920 Even a lot of the country music.

00:40:24.340 I mean, it used to be all about cheating and drinking, but cheating and drinking is one thing. 0.99

00:40:27.880 Murdering and raping is another. 0.97

00:40:29.160 Right. 1.00

00:40:29.720 Right.

00:40:30.400 All right.

00:40:30.640 Before I let you go, I know we're going to get you out of here.

00:40:32.820 I'll take it.

00:40:33.200 Let's see.

00:40:33.480 We'll do like one last question, but only if it's really, really good.

00:40:37.680 People are suggesting I send you to various of their enemies' houses,

00:40:40.920 some of which are not the worst idea.

00:40:43.100 Russell says,

00:40:44.580 The suffering in the garden was so great, an angel was sent to help.

00:40:47.800 The suffering of the trial and crucifixion was terrible,

00:40:50.120 but only a man from Cyrene helped. 1.00

00:40:52.220 It seems the garden was worse as he took the entire burden of our sins.

00:40:56.760 Thoughts?

00:40:57.700 The cross was the reason he was born.

00:41:00.780 He was the only man who was born to die.

00:41:04.840 So the angels are not going to prevent him from completing his mission.

00:41:10.480 That was the mission.

00:41:11.660 Right.

00:41:12.040 It was a rescue mission.

00:41:14.060 They work for the same God.

00:41:16.580 It would be insane to think they're going to send in angels to stop him from completing the one thing he came to do.

00:41:21.720 Right.

00:41:22.060 So that's it in a nutshell.

00:41:23.340 I've also never thought of it that way, that he is the only man who was ever born to die.

00:41:28.140 From Adam to us, we were born to live.

00:41:32.080 Yeah.

00:41:32.720 And we screwed it up.

00:41:33.960 Yeah. 0.99

00:41:34.260 And he was born to die. 0.70

00:41:35.720 To fix it. 0.93

00:41:36.240 Yeah.

00:41:36.680 Right, right.

00:41:37.760 Okay, last question.

00:41:38.600 This is from Politics Without Projection. 0.91

00:41:40.400 I would love to know what he thinks of transgender ideology being a demonic force. 0.99

00:41:44.240 Now, you know, this was, it really hit its peak like three years ago, but it still crops up. 0.94

00:41:47.820 I mean, the New York Times just, they just said on Father's Day that we need to honor

00:41:51.460 like trans, lesbian, bearded mothers as fathers or something.

00:41:54.960 So it's still there and the left wants to bring it back.

00:41:57.160 is it is it simply weird and off and sinful you know and aberrant or is it demonic anything that's

00:42:06.920 going to lead you to literally deform yourself or cut off parts of you that you don't think you need

00:42:14.420 yeah it is coming from hell i would say now you may not believe that you may not think that you 0.69

00:42:19.080 may think i don't have any ties to the devil fine but he's he is the original influencer

00:42:24.700 the og okay and he's influencing people to think they need this one thing like eve needed the fruit

00:42:32.080 to be happy she was perfectly happy before she met him yeah he had everything but that now is

00:42:37.820 the focus of her life unless i get that i'm not gonna be happy unless i get this cut off i'm not

00:42:41.580 gonna be happy and then guess what happens they're not happy when they do it a lot of them are very

00:42:45.980 unhappy i'll just add one caveat to that that further supports that this is not good um if you

00:42:51.960 look at an image of bath man i'm not recommending you do that i was gonna don't go google it

00:42:55.660 but it's half man half woman yes this is an ancient depiction of the devil he's he was playing

00:43:03.900 that game long before we did he's trans yeah yeah the influencer thing really cuts close to home

00:43:09.100 father as someone who is at least a part-time professional influencer right the devil is the

00:43:14.760 first influencer and he's selling the apple yeah he's slinging apple promo code well we don't know

00:43:19.320 if it was an apple, but... Some kind of fruit. Fruit. Yeah. Selling fruit promo code serpent

00:43:24.920 for 10% off of hell. Before we wrap, we got a half full house here. Any questions? Any questions

00:43:32.980 for Father before we leave? So a question, just because I have a microphone, is for someone

00:43:37.160 seeking the will of God in one's life, you have God's sovereign will, moral will. Beyond that,

00:43:44.760 how do we ascertain that? Okay. The simplest way or the broadest way is to always look at what is

00:43:50.580 producing good fruit. That will be something that is going to be leading you towards the path of

00:43:55.940 heaven if this is producing good fruit, right? But in everyday decisions, you know, I start my day

00:44:00.560 with the morning offering. I offer the whole day to the Lord and just say, you know, bless it or

00:44:05.100 block it. Whatever is of you, let it flourish. Whatever's working against you, crush it if I

00:44:11.560 can't determine on my own. Because sometimes things look one way, but it's actually not what

00:44:16.080 it seems. And you know, at the heart of everything is, am I doing this out of love for God or for

00:44:20.820 myself? Like the self is the biggest, it's not other people. It's usually our self that becomes

00:44:26.880 the overwhelming factor in whether we're going to attain sainthood. It's like, am I really doing

00:44:31.580 this for the love of God? And usually when we're doing things for God, we don't need recognition

00:44:36.040 from man, you know, but in this world, everybody wants to pat on the back publicly and, you know,

00:44:41.220 let me which you just had the scripture like two weeks ago you know you've received your reward

00:44:46.280 right there will not be one in heaven for that right so imagine getting this to the gates and

00:44:50.260 peter's there and he pulls out the book and he's like oh yeah wow you got a lot of accolades down

00:44:54.540 there nothing left here sorry what right yeah but at least you got that library named after you

00:45:01.020 library that probably some activist is going to knock down 10 years after my death yeah the holy

00:45:05.820 the holy guys in seminary were one of the ones walking around with the cassocks and the shiny

00:45:10.460 shoes with their hands like this it was the guy at 2 a.m in the chapel that nobody saw that's

00:45:15.820 that's the true because he wasn't looking for anybody to know he was praying he just wanted to

00:45:19.980 pray right so we have to be careful about why why we do the things we do right anybody else before

00:45:29.100 we go okay so for with the microphone a lot of people claim to be christians and they're

00:45:34.220 instructing others, be they influencers or any person in public, how do we ascertain if they're

00:45:42.240 legit or if they're a snake oil salesman? You go back to the fruit. You know, there's an OnlyFans

00:45:47.540 model who makes like 40 million a year, which says, but I'm a good Christian. And I don't know

00:45:52.720 this from going to OnlyFans. I only know this from like the report. News articles. Yeah. And I would

00:45:57.580 say, I'm sorry, sweetie, but that's not cutting it. You know, you're leading men to sin by exposing

00:46:04.560 your body for money. How do you, how do you, uh, shake that out with being a Christian? I don't 0.92

00:46:11.140 get it. So like, it's, and there's more subtle ways than that, but. I'm just, I'm just taking

00:46:16.340 notes. You're telling me I can make $40 million a year if I sign. Well, not you. Not me. I don't,

00:46:21.100 nobody's offering that to me. You need to get the operation and all those other things would

00:46:26.060 happened. You know, though, a lot of modern religion does seem to buttress her argument.

00:46:31.980 I don't know if this girl is sincere or not, but a lot of modern religion says, well, you don't

00:46:37.600 really need to do anything. In fact, you shouldn't do anything because you don't want your religion 0.99

00:46:41.720 to be based in works. It's all got to be based in grace and faith. So really, maybe you could be

00:46:47.140 the OnlyFans model and it doesn't matter. Outwardly, you don't see any sign that this

00:46:52.720 person that's been sanctified. But that doesn't matter because, you know, it's just between me

00:46:56.400 and God. A lot of modern religion says that. Yes. Well, we also say we are saved by grace.

00:47:01.500 Catholics do say that. But we also say if you're truly a disciple and saved, then you will see it

00:47:08.020 by your works. Right? So if you've been given the grace to be saved and you've been baptized,

00:47:13.820 then you have the responsibility to live up to what Jesus calls us to do. So it's not just the

00:47:17.540 commandments it's the beatitudes are you doing that if you're not and you're just doing only

00:47:22.700 fans yeah again peter will have something to say to you at the gate right right any other beyond

00:47:28.460 mr davius's only fans question it wasn't actually an only thing i know it wasn't an only fans

00:47:32.480 question are there any qualities or behaviors or practices that you wish more priests today

00:47:42.160 would embrace yes please have confession before every mess period there's not enough confession

00:47:49.440 in my opinion and i try my wife and i were just going off travel all over the place yeah and i'm

00:47:54.500 like 30 minutes a week for 4 000 families yeah sorry doesn't just do the math plus you get not

00:48:00.800 to pick on but women of a certain age treat confession like they're going on a weekend 0.98

00:48:07.500 retreat for psychology and I'm not knocking them for it but you know the young men are tend to be 0.99

00:48:13.060 a little more in and out number and kind here are much a direction should be an appointment

00:48:17.320 outside of confession yes you go in it's state the the type of sin and the number of times

00:48:24.980 do your list get out because there's a line but this I totally agree with this it kind of again

00:48:32.440 I'm like in as as the penitent I'm not in a position to be making demands but it would be

00:48:36.840 very helpful and i know there's a priest shortage and i know they're really burdened and it's all

00:48:40.440 but it really would be helpful if there were more priests doing confession more of the time

00:48:45.220 yes i mean i'm alone and i have confession before every mass because i want you to be

00:48:52.260 able to receive communion yeah but i'm also going to tell you do not receive if you have

00:48:56.420 not been to confession and you have a grave sin on your soul yeah because that's also a mortal

00:49:00.300 sin it's the saint paul says that too yeah it says the same thing any other questions 0.99

00:49:04.680 So in case the mic didn't get it, one of the fastest growing religions among women is witchcraft and the occult. 1.00

00:49:10.000 One of the top feminist magazines is called Lilith, no surprise. 0.97

00:49:14.080 Have you seen this? Is this real? Is this just a panic? 0.59

00:49:17.160 No, that's correct. Witchcraft is on the rise. It's become mainstream.

00:49:20.900 You can buy all the garbage on Amazon. 0.97

00:49:24.180 There's major department stores that sell witchcraft things. 1.00

00:49:28.380 And Lilith is a real demon. I've encountered this demon in more than one exorcism.

00:49:32.820 Hmm. Because I thought Lilith, in some kind of extra scriptural traditions, 0.68

00:49:42.020 there's this claim that Lilith was Adam's first wife or something. And then I think that's where

00:49:47.700 you get it. I think there's a Jewish tradition of this. And then the feminists really adopt this.

00:49:54.100 And Lilith is like the wife in Frasier who's so awful. But drawing on that. But Lilith is a demon 0.98

00:50:01.220 yeah that you've encountered yep yeah and it's never occurred to me that there are lady demons

00:50:07.320 i guess i know i guess it was like a succubus so well they don't have gender yeah to be honest 0.59

00:50:11.980 but they do seem to um work with one gender or another they harass one more than that more than

00:50:18.180 the other uh jezebel is a spirit um yeah there's they're out there and it's it's on the rise among

00:50:26.260 women this witchcraft well i mean i've seen it it was i don't know if it's still i've seen a

00:50:32.220 resurgence of christianity in the last year that i've not seen ever right this last year i don't

00:50:38.780 know charlie had a hand in it yeah because it woke a lot of people up but i also think when we

00:50:43.420 have a new pope there's always a bump having an american pope probably triple the bump uh but

00:50:48.980 like i was telling you before this we we have uh we had like 14 seminarians come in last year i

00:50:54.540 there's another almost that number coming in this year that's a lot for a 53 parish diocese right

00:51:00.220 you say the american pope would would triple it here in america i wonder the jesuit pope you get

00:51:04.300 half a bump is that to you no i don't know i don't i i'm not calculating any of these things i don't

00:51:08.700 know that i i agree and i the numbers for baptism this easter vigil were record-setting yeah all

00:51:14.780 over the world france just went through the roof yeah uh i was with heading up in boston he said

00:51:22.300 He said Harvard had like 80-something people get baptized this Easter.

00:51:26.800 Harvard?

00:51:27.180 Harvard University.

00:51:28.420 Did they walk in the wrong door?

00:51:30.340 They thought they were going to, really?

00:51:31.820 Yeah.

00:51:32.000 That's, hey, wow.

00:51:33.420 And he said, yeah, the bastion of liberalism had 80-something people enter the church.

00:51:38.760 Father, if there's hope for Harvard, there's hope for us all.

00:51:40.880 That's right.

00:51:41.600 Okay, no more questions.

00:51:43.560 We're out of here.

00:51:44.060 We've kept Father too long anyway, even though with this delicious Mayflower dream, I still

00:51:47.480 have much more cigar to go.

00:51:48.360 I need to send you back home because you have a long drive and many more things to do,

00:51:52.920 not just my fake job of smoking cigars and speaking to friends of mine.

00:51:56.020 Father, thank you very much for being here.

00:51:57.380 Thank you, Michael.

00:51:58.100 And I even want to thank people on X, which I really never want to do,

00:52:01.640 but the questions were very good.

00:52:03.040 See you next time.
