00:00:00.000 Some research showed that you're taking in about one credit card worth of plastic a week.
00:00:04.600 40% of your brain has microplastics in it.
00:00:07.200 I told my dad about the percentage of people's brains that were made out of plastic now.
00:00:10.900 And I don't know if anyone else on the planet has this type of response,
00:00:13.840 but it was like, isn't plastic inert? Like, who cares?
00:00:16.660 That's one way to think about it. It's probably not great to have plastic in your brain.
00:00:20.160 It's like, how badly do you want to feel good?
00:00:22.020 How you feel will directly impact everything.
00:00:24.820 How you show up as a mother, how you show up as a partner,
00:00:27.160 it all comes down to how good you feel.
00:00:29.040 don't go at it all at once do it piece by piece because if you go from never having done supplements
00:00:34.420 or never having done peptides to being stricter with your diet or being more conscious about going
00:00:38.860 to a restaurant that might be seed oil free and how you're cooking at home and it can get
00:00:42.120 overwhelming you can't out hack trauma you can't out supplement trauma the beautiful thing about 0.81
00:00:46.760 plant medicine is it will rip through the bullshit and it's you against you and it will take everything 0.83
00:00:51.400 you need to work on and put it right in front of you like a deck of cards and say do you want to 0.99
00:00:54.660 do this or not and if you want to do this this is the path forward
00:00:59.040 iman hassan welcome to my podcast thank you for having me i'm excited to find a sit down with you
00:01:06.880 and chat yeah this should be fun i haven't i haven't you know what i haven't had very many 0.88
00:01:12.160 women on my podcast but if you actually in the last month maybe since the pregnancy i've had a
00:01:16.780 whole i've had a couple of them on but for biohacking i've mostly been talking to men about
00:01:21.840 it um maybe i'm not sure why i think there's probably more men in the like space in the
00:01:28.980 last while, but I wanted to bring you on to discuss biohacking, how you got into it.
00:01:35.800 So before we get started, can you just give a brief description of who you are and what
00:01:40.380 it is you do?
00:01:41.240 Yes.
00:01:41.600 So I first, first and foremost, I'm the founder and CEO of IHC Agency.
00:01:46.600 We are a full scope PR marketing, social media agency based in the U.S., headquartered in
00:01:52.340 Miami, but we have 15 employees going to 20 this year and opening operations in the Middle
00:01:56.980 East.
00:01:57.540 Wow.
00:01:57.900 Yeah.
00:01:58.280 It's a very exciting time. So I started the agency about five years ago and I've worked in
00:02:03.360 luxury at that time for about 20 years. I started my career at Vogue.com back in the day when I was
00:02:08.740 graduating from college in London. Yeah. I was like, I went to school in London. I lived there
00:02:13.480 for 17 years. And so I started at Tatler Magazine, then moved up to Vogue.com when it was becoming
00:02:19.380 digital. And so that's kind of all. I always knew luxury, retail, fashion, hospitality. And then
00:02:26.740 And five years ago, I kind of started my own agency and I was literally born in the pandemic.
00:02:33.020 What a crazy time to start a company.
00:02:34.980 Yeah, that's for sure.
00:02:35.720 Started as a consultancy and then we started moving towards an agency model.
00:02:39.980 And back in 2022, my mom passes away from turbo cancer.
00:02:46.160 And yeah, and I come back and I remember I told my managing director, who's still our
00:02:50.920 managing director today, I said, at that point, we were servicing luxury hospitality design and
00:02:57.120 retail and fashion. And I said, I don't want to do this anymore. This is just not me. I want to
00:03:02.720 do something different. And she's like, well, what direction do you want to head in? I was like,
00:03:06.020 I really want to work in health and wellness. And the industry wasn't around like it is today,
00:03:10.180 you know, it's one of the largest growing industries now. And she said, well, 80% of
00:03:14.920 our portfolio is luxury retail, hospitality, all of this stuff. It's going to take a minute to
00:03:20.060 change it. And since 2022 to now, we're entering our fifth year this November, it'll be five years
00:03:26.460 for us. 90% of our portfolio at the agency is health and wellness. Wow. Yeah. We're an all
00:03:32.320 female company, all female team. And I lived in Dubai, so I'm really interested in opening up
00:03:37.300 there. And so that's launching this year, 2025. The goal is to open in Dubai. And then 2026 is
00:03:44.240 The goal is to open a satellite office in Saudi.
00:03:47.400 Wow.
00:03:48.220 Yeah.
00:03:48.580 And I'm also the host of a podcast called Biohack It that I started a year ago out of
00:03:53.920 curiosity and passion to talk to people that I wanted to reach that I'd see online.
00:03:58.360 I'm like, how am I going to get through to this person?
00:03:59.840 How am I going to speak to them?
00:04:00.860 And so Biohack It was born.
00:04:03.120 And I thank God for the people that support us.
00:04:06.940 And obviously, if you're putting out content, but no one's listening to your content, then
00:04:09.940 where does it go?
00:04:10.560 we scaled um on the charts we're one of the top podcasts in health and wellness
00:04:14.740 and health and fitness i would say in in the u.s now wow it's been a real journey that's amazing
00:04:20.840 yeah yeah interesting i can't believe how much bigger this i mean it's finally getting popular
00:04:27.260 but i guess that's what happens when everybody has a health problem it's like okay nothing i
00:04:32.280 really do matters if i'm sick if you don't have your health you have nothing or if a family member
00:04:38.500 is sick yeah i lost my dad had al had alzheimer's and so that was one thing that's brutal he passed
00:04:45.820 away as well we didn't speak for about nine years but he died and my mom died of you know cancer
00:04:50.640 ovarian cancer and then you know essentially turbo cancer so yeah wild yeah okay well that's
00:04:59.100 so when you say portfolio does that mean like i because i i don't know what i'm talking about
00:05:04.360 does that mean products or people or everything we work with practitioners so dr will cole is a
00:05:09.820 client of ours so for him we do like let's say his social and his marketing his brand to brand
00:05:14.120 partnerships we have a lot of doctors okay yeah so we represent a lot of doctors clinics supplement
00:05:19.720 companies products sleep tech health tech even like we work with restaurants like sweet green
00:05:24.760 so we run the gamut and we're also getting aggressively into wellness hospitality because
00:05:29.420 there's this whole shift in the industry now that people want to travel and live in this wellness
00:05:33.960 bubble. So hotels are moving towards it. Hospitality is moving towards it. Restaurants
00:05:38.280 are getting non-toxic. So we're also building that out right now. Oh, I love that. And with me 60
00:05:44.100 basically. So we do everything. You can come to us as a brand and we just as a concept and we can
00:05:50.740 incubate you, help you with your branding, build out your website, figure out how to scale your
00:05:55.560 email marketing database. What is your brand identity? How to get your products built so we
00:06:00.140 can do everything soup to nuts. Wow. Yeah. Oh, that's helpful. If you guys aren't on Peterson
00:06:06.040 Academy, you're missing out. There are over 25 eight-hour courses on there from people like
00:06:11.520 Verveke, Michael Malice, Keith Campbell. My dad has three eight-hour courses out now, including
00:06:18.200 Nietzsche, Sermon on the Mount, and Intro to Personality, which is excellent. Brian Keating's
00:06:22.760 on there. David Eagleman on Brain Plasticity just came out, which I love. Go to petersonacademy.com
00:06:29.200 and come in and see what it's like we have a seven day money back guarantee so you can poke
00:06:33.220 around the website look at the courses and get a refund if you want no strings attached
00:06:37.240 any age is welcome the courses are university level thanks guys enjoy the rest of the podcast
00:06:43.340 so like my dad's on tour all the time i used to try i used to travel way more than i do
00:06:49.060 and traveling was such an issue with the environmental sensitivities so we go okay
00:06:54.460 what hotel well we probably want a newer hotel because the air quality is generally better not
00:06:59.120 always and like are there any floors that don't have rugs because of the like dust allergies and
00:07:03.560 everything are there any floors that don't have down is it like if i go into a down hotel room
00:07:08.380 and they're shaking out the blankets i'm like absolutely not death yeah oh that's so cool okay
00:07:14.840 so why do why dubai and and saudi so dubai is booming right now it is really gunning to become
00:07:22.580 like the health and wellness hub of the middle east yeah and i think they're doing a lot of work
00:07:26.580 in there um i've heard this little rumor because i was just there for three and a half weeks
00:07:30.140 um i heard this rumor that you know the his highness in in dubai is going to do a whole
00:07:36.320 push towards health wellness and longevity so they're really gunning to take over the space
00:07:40.580 the market is very underdeveloped people are coming in but people don't fully know what
00:07:43.940 they're doing the agencies in the middle east are not the standard of the agencies in the u.s we are
00:07:48.540 one of the largest consumer markets in the world we're also one of the most sophisticated consumer
00:07:53.540 markets in the world. So the way we market scale brands, the way we think of concepts is very
00:07:58.400 different. So I was like, why don't we take what we've done here so long for, you know, so many
00:08:02.760 years, done it well, we're getting known in the industry for this and take that model and repeat
00:08:07.240 it in the buy, in the Middle East. Why Saudi? It's the second biggest growing market. PIF just
00:08:13.640 did a whole, and if you're listening to this and you don't know what PIF is, it's a Saudi sovereign
00:08:18.160 fund. They've just done a whole investment into women's health. They're trying to build out this
00:08:23.240 whole vertical women's health when it comes to your health, your hormones, training, all of this 1.00
00:08:27.420 stuff. And it's being led by the princess who's in Al Saud and who's the ambassador to the US from 0.99
00:08:35.380 South Arabia. So there's a huge push coming into health, wellness, longevity, healing. So they're
00:08:42.800 really trying to kind of catch up. And I do think they have a lot of potential. And I think Dubai
00:08:47.240 is just a booming place to be like it's it's an incredible city it's very multicultural it is safe
00:08:54.180 it is so clean Michaela you literally eat off the floor like it's that clean it is super safe
00:08:59.440 there's literally no crime and it's a wonderful place to be so and I and I like their vision I
00:09:05.320 like what they've done as a country as a region what they're doing over there yeah yeah I really
00:09:10.600 like Dubai I've been there a number of times it's fun and it's great and I feel like so I lived in
00:09:15.800 the buy back in 2010 to 2013 and i went back after like what it was 10 years now i just went in
00:09:23.140 december i was blown away by how much they've advanced even from them and i do feel the buy
00:09:29.200 is going to be the city of the future it is very ai focused it's very tech focused they are very
00:09:33.940 much about making things easy yeah bringing in technology you're really gunning for that
00:09:39.200 I went to buy a SIM card, a local SIM card. This is how seamless the process was. I went to the
00:09:45.880 local store and I literally walked in. There were machines. You give your ID, you put it into the
00:09:50.620 machine, you push in a number. It's automated. Everything is electronical. Over here, you go to
00:09:56.140 a T-Mobile or an AT&T, you're literally standing in line for an hour and a half trying to see
00:09:59.660 somebody. And I'm like, we are supposed to be a progressive first world country. Why have we not
00:10:04.460 adapted technology more into our day to day yeah i wonder if it's just because our like the american
00:10:11.980 culture it's not that old but it's older than what's going on in dubai you know at least the
00:10:17.560 kind of more up-to-date part and there's so much red tape coming from canada going from canada to
00:10:23.620 the u.s is like oh everything's easy in the u.s and then you go from the u.s to somewhere like
00:10:27.900 dubai and it's like oh there's like more they're like there's a higher percentage of entrepreneurs
00:10:32.420 and things are easier to get done because there's less red tape i also think it comes down to a
00:10:38.000 cultural mentality i think we have thought for a long time i'll talk from an american perspective
00:10:42.220 that we're better than everybody else we're greater than everybody else so we don't maybe
00:10:46.580 have the same push to prove ourselves the way the middle east does who is a newer generation
00:10:51.260 that's a newer culture so they're gunning to be the best because they haven't seen themselves as
00:10:57.400 the best yeah yeah we get for sure and i think in a larger setting completely outside of just
00:11:03.980 talking about health and wellness america unless it shifts its narrative to try to level itself up
00:11:08.460 to the where you know to be the great again we're going to lose out long term because you have other
00:11:13.560 countries like china coming through yeah that are hyper advanced you even look at the way 1.00
00:11:17.940 chinese children what they're learning in montessori versus american kids it's a world
00:11:23.440 of difference the way they're learning the way they they still practice the way they're training 0.99
00:11:29.040 their brains we are putting our kids onto screens our children's brains are going through mush
00:11:34.980 um they're chronically inflamed we're feeding them processed foods 73 percent of the american
00:11:40.860 diet is processed food yeah that's insane so that's so bad i shouldn't even be laughing at
00:11:47.220 that that's crazy and you know people like you and i are you know we have options we do our
00:11:52.580 research and stuff but a lot of people don't and so we have to really sit back and think about if
00:11:57.720 we want America to you know make being making America great it also comes down to how are we
00:12:04.480 preparing with technology with advancement with food with nutrition with education and making
00:12:10.120 sure our country is set up for the next you know century yeah yeah for sure I think things are
00:12:16.680 changing though and I'm super excited about this change I'm just excited to be in a place in a
00:12:22.460 time like today i know it's fun huh i can't believe people are talking about health as if
00:12:27.640 it's cool instead of just being like you quack you quack you're like out there you know when i
00:12:33.100 and i said this the other day if i had said the word turbo cancer in 2022 when my mom died and i
00:12:39.840 knew what it was if i had dared said it on a podcast if i dared brought it up in public people
00:12:44.700 would look at me like i had three heads but with this whole maha movement and bobby kennedy and
00:12:50.320 all these incredible people around him, they have given people like us a voice and allowed us to
00:12:55.560 question and ask, be curious and also look further into what's really happening with our health.
00:13:01.520 Okay. So on the turbo cancer front, so my mom had cancer that she like narrowly escaped from 0.93
00:13:10.080 and it was the same. It was, I like, I'm, I've, I haven't heard of, I've heard of turbo cancer.
00:13:16.480 I don't know what it is. So I want to get into that. I just assume very fast growing,
00:13:20.020 which was very aggressive hers was like super rare and then it was like you have eight months 1.00
00:13:24.780 it was like sorry what like what when when does that happen so is that that's what a turbo cancer
00:13:31.320 is it's just like cancer that comes on super fast it's very aggressive and by the time you do get
00:13:35.960 diagnosed with it it's pretty far gone and my mom that's what happened so she wasn't even leaving
00:13:41.700 the house she lived in london because that's where i grew up for 17 years so she was there
00:13:45.400 and she wasn't even leaving the house because obviously the uk was completely shut down i mean
00:13:49.800 i lived in miami that opened within two months but the uk had very strict you know hard restrictions
00:13:54.940 yeah like canada yeah everything was like turned upside down she's not leaving the house but for
00:14:00.360 some reason her gp thought she should get vaccinated and boosted but i was like why this
00:14:05.920 woman's already been compromised once she's obviously in remission from cancer and she's
00:14:10.040 been clear for a while why would you do this to her and for some reason they gave into the fear
00:14:15.260 mongering whatever Michaela literally she got the she got the booster it was I think December 2021
00:14:22.060 or January 2022 and within we were told at that point a month into we were told she has six months
00:14:28.960 she died within 90 days of that literally 90 days that's crazy yeah oh my gosh that's terrible and
00:14:39.180 my sister she lived with my sister and I was always because I had a lot of health issues growing up
00:14:45.260 And then I moved to America. And it's probably one of the best things that happened to me because I lived with family and, you know, lived in Dubai and lived in the UK for so long. When I moved to America 11 years ago now, I was kind of never lived here. You know, I'm born American, but I'd never lived here prior. And I had to come here and make a life for myself from scratch.
00:15:02.940 And during that process, because I had the freedom to not have, you know, my family in
00:15:07.280 my ear and people I've known in my ear, I started discovering things and figuring things
00:15:10.600 out on my own.
00:15:11.480 And I really wanted to heal my own body.
00:15:13.660 And that's how I found the world of alternative medicine and functional medicine, what it
00:15:17.280 means and what it means to be like, look at the baseline of what your health issue is
00:15:22.140 and kind of work backwards from there.
00:15:25.640 Okay.
00:15:26.080 Okay. So what was your, what was your health like, I guess, prior to biohacking and what did you
00:15:32.040 improve? So as a child, I was chronically ill and I'm Pakistani and I come from a big pharma
00:15:38.920 culture where they just love bombarding you with medication. My mother literally had a medicine
00:15:42.320 drawer. And so, because I would get sick a lot as a kid, she would constantly give me antibiotics. 0.94
00:15:48.580 Yeah. I was raised with so much saproxin, which is one of these antibiotics. It destroyed my gut.
00:15:55.220 and that happens i'm also have other things going on so i'm constantly developing ovarian cysts
00:16:02.020 constantly developing ovarian cysts and so i've had three major surgery surgeries for ovarian
00:16:07.580 cysts by the time i get into my 20s one of my ovaries is reconstructed they took out too much
00:16:11.160 follicle like follicular tissue during that process and i have migraines i'm constantly not
00:16:17.540 well i have brain fog all of this stuff then around like six seven years ago i meet this one
00:16:23.580 functional medicine doctor in miami and he said you're estrogen dominant right you have um like
00:16:30.740 uh i don't remember the word what is the thing for the yeast infection when you have like a lot
00:16:34.800 of yeast candida candida sorry yeah yeah okay so i meet this doctor in miami he says your estrogen
00:16:40.860 you know you have toxic estrogen levels your body's producing way too much estrogen it's not
00:16:45.000 clearing out you have candida your gut is completely destroyed you have bad mitochondrial
00:16:49.100 health we're gonna start working backwards and that's the first time i got introduced to peptides
00:16:53.140 and i started getting to that and lowering inflammation in my body did that did the
00:16:57.440 peptides help 100 it helped i haven't had a migraine in six years my body's not producing
00:17:01.720 any more cysts really is this just from peptides or did you make dietary changes so many things
00:17:07.320 right then i learned about food and like making sure that listen my body likes a lot of protein
00:17:12.920 i'm somebody who can't be plant-based i don't like it i don't want to be high quality meat
00:17:18.460 grass-fed grass finished trying to get into all this stuff I got into raw dairy so I that's when
00:17:24.860 I started discovering all of this alternative wrong my mom thought I was a quack my mother
00:17:28.480 would look at me like you're what is this the funniest story she comes to stay with me once
00:17:32.260 in Miami and my mother had a really heavy Pakistani accent and she's like what is this in your fridge
00:17:36.820 as like it was the insulin like the syringes right and she's like what are you on drugs and you didn't 0.74
00:17:40.920 tell me what is this that you're taking and I'm like it's peptide she's like what is this nonsense
00:17:44.940 What doctor has given you this?
00:17:46.680 And I'm like, ladies, for the best.
00:17:49.220 But she didn't know, you know?
00:17:50.780 And she was just like, she was like, oh my God, my daughter's shooting heroin or some 0.99
00:17:53.580 shit. 1.00
00:17:53.760 She has a drug problem. 1.00
00:17:54.600 I don't know what she's up to. 0.99
00:17:55.580 But she literally thought I was a quack.
00:17:58.160 And over that journey, I've started repairing and healing my body.
00:18:02.200 Now, obviously, I've met so many incredible people in the community that I've got into
00:18:06.400 advanced testing so I can test environmental toxins.
00:18:08.800 I can see exactly what my toxin burden level is.
00:18:11.180 I can see what's going on exactly with my hormones.
00:18:13.420 And so now I do testing every three to four months.
00:18:15.840 I have incredible MDs I work with.
00:18:17.620 And so I started with peptides.
00:18:20.240 Then I got into all of these other things like, you know,
00:18:22.900 Eboo and kind of like doing this thing called lipid replacement therapy,
00:18:26.600 also known as a PK protocol.
00:18:28.000 Like I've like gone through this whole like rabbit hole
00:18:30.540 because I had two parents who died from chronic disease.
00:18:35.260 And by the way, both diseases, 100% preventable.
00:18:40.120 If you're the type of person who on occasion
00:18:41.920 likes to partake in a few alcoholic beverages,
00:18:44.420 but also you don't want to wreak havoc on your body
00:18:47.000 and you're health conscious,
00:18:48.520 you should have my hangover supplement after party
00:18:51.100 at your house available at all times.
00:18:53.600 It's made of dihydromyricetin, no fillers,
00:18:56.780 just pure dihydromyricetin,
00:18:58.740 which helps break down acetaldehyde,
00:19:00.660 which is what ethanol, alcohol,
00:19:02.360 converts into in your body that poisons you,
00:19:05.220 damages your organs, damages your brain when you drink.
00:19:07.800 It's not the ethanol that feels fun
00:19:09.700 that's the issue exactly.
00:19:11.180 it's what it breaks down into that damages your brain and organs. If you could break down that
00:19:15.340 poison faster, wouldn't you? I cannot explain over an ad how well this works. So if you do try it,
00:19:20.840 you can get a 30-day money-back guarantee if you buy through fullerhealth.com. You can also buy it
00:19:25.660 through Amazon, super fast shipping, but if you want the money-back guarantee through Amazon,
00:19:29.980 you need to email us through the website to get it. So don't take my word for it. Read the reviews,
00:19:34.760 try it fullerhealth.com or after party on amazon okay lipid replacement therapy what is that so
00:19:42.780 you know the thing i sent you from body bio the pc yeah phosphatidylcholine so lipid replacement
00:19:48.560 therapy is essentially these incredible ivs and the doctor i see is dr christine perfetta in
00:19:53.700 morristown she's amazing and she has her own ip on how she's developed this iv protocol
00:20:00.400 and some people know it as a PK protocol, but she has her own version of it. She does
00:20:04.700 and lipid replacement therapy is really re-fortifying and cleaning out your cells.
00:20:09.740 So one of the things that's happened since the pandemic is the COVID-19 vaccine,
00:20:15.040 the spike protein is damaging your cell membrane. If your cell membrane is compromised and you do
00:20:20.520 not have healthy cells, what's going to happen? Disease is going to enter the body.
00:20:24.300 So lipid replacement therapy is essentially taking out the toxins from your cells and re-fortifying.
00:20:28.940 Your cells are made of this gooey, gushy little membrane that goes around them.
00:20:32.900 So it's detoxifying the cells and re-fortifying that cell membrane.
00:20:36.940 So she has a bunch of things that she puts into her IVs, PC being one.
00:20:40.580 So you're doing high-dose liquid PC.
00:20:42.440 You're doing high-dose butyrate.
00:20:44.080 And then according to what you're working with, with the levels of toxins that you have,
00:20:47.640 she does this really customized test.
00:20:49.600 She used to do it out of Europe. 0.83
00:20:50.680 It was called the IGL, but now she has another lab she's using in the U.S.
00:20:54.000 And she tests you for every single environmental toxin,
00:20:56.960 every single heavy metal you can think of.
00:20:58.940 and then starts clearing it out.
00:21:00.920 And at the end of that, so she starts with that,
00:21:04.140 which is a lipid replacement therapy.
00:21:05.580 Then she moves into a very custom protocol, 1.00
00:21:08.080 a parasite protocol with pharmaceutical drugs. 1.00
00:21:10.040 That is just what your body needs for parasites. 1.00
00:21:13.280 Then she moves if you need the NAD combined with something else. 1.00
00:21:16.520 In my case, she did two passes of EBU.
00:21:20.080 Now she's come up with this plasma exchange treatment
00:21:23.060 that's going around on the internet as well as just kind of entered the U.S. 0.71
00:21:26.200 A bunch of these people have it.
00:21:27.380 hasn't brian johnson been talking about johnson's been talking about it caleb barnes just did it
00:21:31.980 um dr mindy pelz just did it after the fires in la with next health so now that's something
00:21:38.020 because i'm on a fertility journey right now right so and this is the other thing what they don't
00:21:41.980 teach you in the eastern world you prepare your body for at least one year before you even try
00:21:48.460 to conceive that is not something that exists in america in the western world you're just like oh
00:21:52.700 i should get pregnant then all of a sudden i need to go clean no there's a pre-preparation that goes 0.75
00:21:57.480 into both the man and the woman to make sure you're set up for a healthy pregnancy and 50
00:22:03.220 percent of miscarriages that happen actually happen because of the men because their dna is
00:22:07.400 fragmented and that's something we're not taught or learned or you know spoken about and it's
00:22:11.380 definitely not what it feels like when it happens but it is 50 it's down to the man and another
00:22:16.360 thing that people don't realize is when you have a partner you're sharing each other's microbiome
00:22:20.560 so it's not just a woman who has to get clean it is also the man that's a horrifying thought yeah
00:22:26.080 you're sharing your your your microbiome is shifting according to your partner's health
00:22:30.980 as well so if you're really healthy and really clean but your partner's you know okay with having
00:22:35.640 toxins that's going to inter-transfer right so this whole concept that when it came to also
00:22:41.280 fertility is because i i started going on this fertility journey realizing my levels were not
00:22:45.280 good and learning so much about the space learning about how important your mitochondrial health
00:22:50.480 is when it comes to fertility understanding the role of inflammation in the body when it comes
00:22:55.380 to fertility and all of this stuff was something so eye-opening to me so back to your question i
00:23:01.760 got into health because i wasn't well saw my mom pass away fell into it through a curiosity and
00:23:09.200 self-discovery started healing my own body realizing i don't ever get sick anymore thank
00:23:14.020 god touch wood um survived the pandemic pretty much pretty well i think i had like one bout of
00:23:20.000 like COVID that was really bad. And then never again. I had COVID like, well, at least three
00:23:26.480 times just out of curiosity. I was like, is this it? Cause it's kind of nasty. Yeah. I lost my
00:23:31.000 sense of smell for six months after the first two times. I didn't get vaccinated though. I was like,
00:23:37.360 my immune system is too haywire to risk that. But you're lucky you didn't because there's all this
00:23:42.720 research coming out that shows what the spike protein is doing to people. There was a recent
00:23:47.420 study that I actually posted about on my Instagram as well. There's a study that came out of South
00:23:51.260 Korea and they looked at 500,000 people plus, and they're linking the people who actually got the
00:24:00.280 vaccine to Alzheimer's. There's a higher increased risk of Alzheimer's to people who've taken the
00:24:06.440 vaccine. You look it up on PubMed. It's literally on PubMed and it's crazy, but there's all this
00:24:12.060 new research coming out and that's where it drove me bonkers. And the reason I also didn't get
00:24:16.680 vaccine it was because i started following i fell greatly into joe rogan at the time and he brought
00:24:21.340 on dr robert malone do you remember the guy and this guy is like dude i came up with the technology
00:24:26.400 and i'm telling you this is not right like this is the tech it was not meant for this this is not
00:24:30.900 adding up and then they silenced him and the whole campaign came out about the dirty dozen
00:24:35.260 and they went after these doctors some of those doctors are not even alive today 0.51
00:24:37.980 so wow and people can look at this look at the campaign around the dirty dozen
00:24:43.320 and you can look into some of these doctors and bobby obviously was on the list robert malone was
00:24:48.700 on the list thank god they're still here with us but there was so much going on and i was like
00:24:53.200 things are not adding up so i told my husband we are absolutely not getting vaccinated and i and so
00:24:59.100 that with my mom's going back to my mom my family is like you cannot come to see her and i was like
00:25:04.580 what do you mean i can't come to see her they're like you can't come to see her i lied i had to go
00:25:09.920 see my mom. I lied. I went to see her. And once my mom passed, my sister looked at me and goes,
00:25:14.400 you did not get vaccinated. Did you? I said, absolutely not. I said, because you guys want
00:25:18.100 to all jump off a cliff. I don't agree with this. And I have my whole life ahead of me. I haven't
00:25:21.860 even had kids yet. So you're not allowed to tell me what I am supposed to do or not do. This is a
00:25:26.800 very personal choice. Wow. I can't believe, I can't believe we went through as a society around
00:25:34.440 the world where they had forced vaccinations that were developed that quickly and now we're
00:25:42.160 fine i can't believe all the conspiracies were true like at the time i was like logically if
00:25:46.980 something's developed that fast i was like maybe don't inject it into the entire world maybe don't
00:25:52.640 inject into pregnant women and children kids don't inject into children and pregnant women
00:25:58.700 and there is other research also showing there was an increase in miscarriages with the women
00:26:03.320 who were vaccinated yeah i've read that but you were crazy if you say and by the way there's still
00:26:07.900 some crazy fertility doctors out there who i've seen online who are still promoting the vaccine
00:26:12.960 and flu shots i'm like are you well like is everything okay like are you paid for my shows
00:26:18.260 like what is going on here how if there's even a slight percentage or a doubt that this could
00:26:24.300 lead to a miscarriage or something like that why would you even suggest it to somebody who's
00:26:28.880 pregnant like it just makes no sense to me no it didn't make any sense to me either i was like
00:26:36.040 especially once i had covid already i was like i've got i already had it like well you need the
00:26:40.420 vaccine why would i need the vaccine like if it's going to mutate like the flu like but i caught the
00:26:47.660 first round of it was like where's the logic here they want you to believe that natural immunity is
00:26:53.900 not real but if you look back at the introduction to the human body to any disease as far back as
00:26:59.100 polio the polio scale of the actual like outbreak was already going down when the vaccine was
00:27:06.120 introduced yeah i've seen that too right joe rogan speaks about it he's like literally pulled up a
00:27:10.360 graph i think on one of his podcast episodes so we natural immunity is very very very real
00:27:16.000 but we want to because we want to profit up people's health and fear we have told people
00:27:21.660 that that's not possible that you can't work through natural immunity but there's in society
00:27:25.960 any disease once it has been like a virus that has been introduced our bodies have gotten really
00:27:31.660 really sick and they found a way to bounce back once they get used to the same thing with the flu
00:27:35.680 and more people die from the flu than they have died from the from from covet i believe that the
00:27:42.000 flu this year i was just talking to you about it i was sick i think that it was the pregnancy so my
00:27:46.960 mean systems for so long i was like i was way sicker this round than i was from covid from the
00:27:55.040 flu it was brutal yeah yeah and more you know there are people who are like fear-mongering around
00:28:01.360 the flu or let's say covid but what about the fact that more people die in this country
00:28:07.040 from cardiac disease medical malpractice and cancer yeah so and those two of those things
00:28:13.540 are completely preventable through lifestyle choices so i'm just like well you want to talk
00:28:17.680 about covid deaths what about this little bucket over here like the number one cause for death in
00:28:23.780 america is cardiac disease the second is cancer both lifestyle and then the third is medical
00:28:27.780 malpractice i know nobody talks about that either no so it's just like you can't cherry pick and
00:28:35.920 pick and choose when you're talking about health the health of americans and you want to talk about
00:28:40.500 death rates, then let's really look at the percentage of what's really killing people
00:28:44.060 in this country and work backwards. Cause it sure as hell ain't, you know, COVID.
00:28:48.160 Yeah. Yeah. A hundred percent. Okay. You mentioned parasites. That's something I've like more
00:28:54.520 recently got interested in because I use like for my health issues, I use the diet route,
00:28:58.620 which was overwhelmingly successful, but it was like, obviously there's something going on
00:29:03.140 leading to the food sensitivities. And I've just figured out how to lower levels of inflammation,
00:29:06.980 get rid of symptoms which is great but like what's the root cause there what why is my gut so
00:29:12.480 permeable all that so i've gotten into um looking into parasites because they're way more common than
00:29:18.260 yeah we grew up knowing about so how did you get tested were these like stool tests blood tests
00:29:25.500 stool tests blood tests so before like christine profeta the way she does it before she even
00:29:30.620 starts you in any sort of protocol she does really really really rigorous testing so i gave like 45 0.88
00:29:35.860 vials of blood literally um did the stool test did um a saliva test did a urine test and then
00:29:42.120 it kind of comes back to her and she's like listen this is how i'm going to treat you i can pull up
00:29:46.100 i don't have it on me right now but there's an exact parasite protocol that she gives it's a
00:29:49.380 pharmaceutical grade protocol and ivermectin is one of the things that she includes and then while
00:29:54.460 you're doing so after you finish the lipid replacement therapy ib's you move into the
00:29:59.060 second phase because she does this in like chapters so the second chapter of you know the
00:30:02.980 detox kind of is is parasites and according to what comes back from your testing she gives you 0.99
00:30:07.660 this compounded parasite you know pharmaceutical treatment you do it for i think three to five 0.54
00:30:12.400 days depending on what you have but at the same time she wants you to do colonics because the
00:30:18.100 parasites get dumped into your gut and then she wants you to get them removed so eating really
00:30:22.260 clean during that time is really important not eating anything raw like sushi and stuff is
00:30:26.420 completely out making sure the food you're eating is cooked it's fermented and it's warm it's warm
00:30:32.720 foods and then basically you all start doing the colonics at the same time so everything that's
00:30:36.900 being dumped into your gut is then getting pulled out of you so you that's how the chapter she kind
00:30:41.660 of does it in i don't have the names of the exact um all of the you know pills on me or the the
00:30:48.420 medication that she gave but ivermectin was one interesting okay and you know there's new research
00:30:54.220 also to show that ivermectin can be cancer preventative yeah yeah i've seen that which
00:31:01.420 means maybe, and I haven't done enough research into this, like give a, any type of intelligent
00:31:07.960 response, but if you can treat some types of cancer with, uh, antiparasitics, then what it
00:31:15.220 is? It parasites. There's a lot of research that shows that's a lot of cancer, you know,
00:31:19.840 let's say is also linked to mineral deficiencies or vitamin deficiency that people don't want to
00:31:23.800 talk about. Lee or Dr. Lee Aaron Connelly from California. I don't know if you know about her.
00:31:29.260 She's phenomenal. So she has a functional oncology center in LA. I brought her onto my 0.98
00:31:35.740 podcast and she talks a lot about different types of cancers and where they're kind of coming from
00:31:39.260 and how she looks at cancer from this functional lens. She talks about vitamin D deficiency and
00:31:44.760 vitamin C and your oral microbiome, how that's really important. And when your oral microbiome
00:31:50.500 is off, it can lead to certain types of cancer. So our body is meant to be in harmony with each
00:31:56.620 other with itself, right? And when there's a disconnect on one part, that's when the
00:32:01.620 dysregulation starts happening. And that's where disease has ability to enter the body. So a lot
00:32:06.080 of cancer can be treated through the lens of lifestyle, which includes your sleep, your
00:32:10.420 hydration, what you're eating, how you're supplementing, how are you not supplementing,
00:32:14.860 what deficiencies in minerals do you have in your body? And parasites.
00:32:20.380 Interesting. Okay. I'm going to delve deep into that. I think in the next like six months after
00:32:26.020 pregnancy yeah it's just fascinating the more we learn the more empowered we become and the more
00:32:32.420 empowered we become the better choices we can make for our personal health i think one thing
00:32:37.480 that changed with me too as soon as i started to um kind of get control of my health and not feel
00:32:43.180 like it was out of control was like if i can control this and health seems so especially when
00:32:48.360 you're in the midst of being sick so uncontrollable it's like if you can actually make a dent and
00:32:53.860 change how your health is what else are you capable of doing because that's like the most
00:32:58.340 difficult thing for people you know relationships are one thing work is one thing but your health
00:33:03.260 is like a a monster you're trying to control a monster and it requires discipline so when you
00:33:07.840 get a handle on having discipline around that you can have discipline around anything yeah right
00:33:12.000 but it's like how badly do you want to feel good and how you feel will directly impact everything
00:33:19.160 how you show up as a mother how you show up as a partner how you show up as a as a at work or in
00:33:24.580 your in your friendships it all comes down to how good you feel even even the amount just being
00:33:31.640 slightly anxious can determine the rest of your life too is like how are you viewing your future
00:33:36.880 yeah because if you're anxious then you're like well i'm not capable of accomplishing that and
00:33:40.760 then you choose different you choose a different path for yourself and it's like that's not even
00:33:45.220 what reality should be like like you should have this more positive outlook of the future and like
00:33:49.580 be able to accomplish things so you have to get health under control well you've been through
00:33:54.820 mental health right and you talk about this stuff and when you shifted your perspective to dealing
00:33:59.500 with your health and healing your body your outlook on life completely changed oh i turned
00:34:04.100 upside down right it was crazy so you're this whole thing with the gut brain you know connection
00:34:10.140 and everything and how we show up in the world directly it comes from your sense of well-being
00:34:15.220 if you don't feel well how are you going to show up in the world okay do you have let me see let's
00:34:22.300 get into a little bit about what you've learned for people so if there are people interested in
00:34:26.820 starting to biohack what like where did you start or where do you recommend people start on their
00:34:33.720 biohacking journey you need to get your testing done everybody is you need to look at your health
00:34:39.740 from an individual lens. What works for me may not work for you. My DNA is different. My background
00:34:43.500 is different. My ethnic background is different. My trauma story is different. So you need to look
00:34:49.520 at yourself. And I would start with detailed kind of hormone testing. I would definitely get a gut, 0.99
00:34:54.200 like a stool test done. I would do a urine test and be like, what is my level of environmental
00:34:58.180 toxins? Is my body, especially if you're a woman and you're listening, is your body producing
00:35:03.220 hormones correctly? We are also as women going into menopause sooner and sooner and earlier and
00:35:08.740 earlier, what is causing that, right? And that a lot of that has to do with stress,
00:35:14.140 endocrine disrupting chemicals that are coming in through our personal care products,
00:35:17.440 our food system. And so I would start by looking at my body and getting understanding of my baseline
00:35:23.260 and then building from there. Yeah, that makes sense. Because otherwise you're all over the
00:35:28.500 place, right? You have to first find out what is the problem in you or not a problem, like where
00:35:34.040 do you have to start in order to start fixing it? And then don't go at it all at once. Do it piece
00:35:39.420 by piece. Because if you go from never having done supplements or never having done peptides
00:35:44.040 to, you know, being stricter with your diet or being more conscious about going to a restaurant
00:35:48.160 that might be seed oil free and how you're cooking at home and it can get overwhelming.
00:35:53.520 And I, firstly, when I did this environmental toxin test, what I discovered in my body is I
00:35:58.460 I was really heavy, like really overloaded with BPAs.
00:36:02.660 And I was like, how is this possible? 0.98
00:36:04.760 I literally went through my entire house and changed everything to glass, everything.
00:36:11.960 And it took me a minute.
00:36:13.260 And I was like, where is this even coming from?
00:36:14.580 So our cookware obviously changed because of toxins.
00:36:16.900 I changed our storage containers.
00:36:19.360 You know, we removed any form of plastic that we could from the house.
00:36:22.380 So I've had to really like look at it from a piece by piece perspective.
00:36:26.380 but if i did that all at once i'd be extremely overwhelmed did you remove for plastic did you
00:36:31.160 remove plastic period or did you go for like the safer plastic no we've removed let's say 95 percent
00:36:37.740 of plastic but let's say our storage containers for food the the the bottom is obviously glass
00:36:42.220 to the top is maybe plastic so things like that but we've removed like a lot of plastic completely
00:36:47.600 from our lives like i don't drink from plastic bottles if i can if i can avoid it 100 percent
00:36:52.340 um containers take out all of that stuff so we're just more mindful but the days that i do because
00:36:58.020 you do have to live and that's just life i do take that gooey stuff i sent you the body bio pc and i
00:37:02.880 cannot tell you enough research they have data showing this that if you are high in environmental
00:37:07.220 toxins and plastics and all this stuff you take that product like i take two tablespoons a day
00:37:11.880 your toxin levels will stay very low interesting so have you been able to measure bpa in blood work
00:37:19.620 or something and then see measurable differences when removing plastics from your house because
00:37:23.700 this protocol that i was doing she was testing my blood every three months right so i have to pull
00:37:28.460 up my numbers i don't have them on me but my bpa was really really high and also i was really high
00:37:32.580 in something like nickel really random stuff i was like where is this even coming from and it was
00:37:36.460 like exposure to things when i was young as a child and yes every three months her her job is
00:37:41.900 to get you back to baseline which is as clean as humanly possible now cool plastics are being used
00:37:47.200 and everything they're in our workout clothes they're in our they're in our underwear they're
00:37:51.220 in every little thing so it's not just about like a plastic water bottle microplastics are so
00:37:57.200 embedded into our world these days i think some research showed that you're taking in about
00:38:02.600 one credit card worth of plastic a week and i think you have 40 of your brain has microplastics
00:38:09.420 in it so can you completely be plastic free if you want to live in if you don't want to move to
00:38:14.200 the jungle? No, that's not possible. But you can make a very conscious decision in what to integrate
00:38:19.520 and just go through life a little bit more consciously and then take products that will
00:38:23.600 help you regulate the exposure that you do have. I told my dad about the percentage of people's
00:38:30.340 brains that were made out of plastic now and his response. And I don't know if anyone else on the
00:38:35.380 planet has this type of response, but it was like, isn't plastic inert? Like who cares? And I was
00:38:40.540 like, well, I was like, yeah, I was like, that's one way to think about it. It's probably not
00:38:44.480 great to have plastic in your brain, but he's like, well, what is it even doing? Is there research on
00:38:49.620 what BPA and what plastic in the body is actually doing to your health?
00:38:53.800 I mean, I definitely think in terms of from, from a cellular perspective, it's, it's damaging you,
00:39:00.580 right? More women are kind of being pushed. For example, let's talk about a female health 1.00
00:39:03.420 perspective. If you have plastics in your body, those are, is a foreign object in your body. So 1.00
00:39:10.220 you see your body sees it as a toxin right your body sees it as a toxin starts like focusing on
00:39:15.660 trying to clear it up and what is going on here so your body's not functioning as optimal right
00:39:19.700 that is viewed as a foreign object in your body that doesn't belong in your body so every anything
00:39:25.280 that doesn't belong in your body right it slows you down it causes disease it starts creating
00:39:30.860 like irregularity in your cells so i don't know if there's a like a full like research on we'd
00:39:37.420 have to look into it, but just looking. It seems bad. Of course it's bad. It's like personal care
00:39:41.880 products that are really high in phthalates. Well, what does it do? It breaks down your cellular
00:39:47.400 health. It causes disruption to how your body's supposed to be ebbing and flowing. And Michaela,
00:39:52.500 the big thing that people don't remember is our DNA has not evolved since the dawn of time, right?
00:39:58.620 Our environment has evolved. We are not meant to be with such glaring lights, be in such like
00:40:04.720 plugged in, have EMF surround us and stuff. Our cells are going AWOL because we have advanced so
00:40:10.780 far as a society, but our DNA hasn't progressed the same way. We're also walking around completely
00:40:15.180 unregulated with our nervous systems. Oh, okay. Let's pause. Let's get into that a little bit.
00:40:21.940 Um, cause I've seen you post online a bit about that. Do you have three tips for people for
00:40:26.960 nervous system regulation? Three tips. Um, grounding first, first thing in the morning,
00:40:32.260 trying to get in natural light really does help. So really helps regulate your circadian rhythm,
00:40:37.000 helps regulate your nervous system. I personally at home have a red light device. So what I try to
00:40:40.960 do is I'm not somebody who can meditate for a long time. I'll just be really honest. Um, but I do try
00:40:45.560 to do 10 to 15 minutes in front of my red light, just sit there, even if it's just deep breaths
00:40:49.980 and it's kind of belly breathing and you're moving the air around and just kind of grounding yourself
00:40:54.120 and your mind is so powerful. So when you tell yourself first thing in the morning, I've got this,
00:40:57.600 I've got my day. I feel grounded. I feel sure of myself. I'm centered. It creates a really good
00:41:03.700 feedback loop to your, to your nervous system. So that's the second tip I would definitely give.
00:41:10.020 Things like breath work work for a lot of people. I haven't done long periods of breath work. My
00:41:13.860 husband loves it. And ice baths. Ice baths is a really great one. If you can constantly bring
00:41:19.320 yourself to do it, then for women, you're not supposed to do it throughout your cycle. 1.00
00:41:23.200 You're not. So when are you not supposed to do ice baths? 0.93
00:41:25.680 When you're on your, when you're on your cycle, you should not be doing it.
00:41:28.380 You just cycle ice baths in and out because overexposure, there's some research showing 1.00
00:41:33.040 like too much, too, doing too many ice baths also raises your testosterone levels in women. 1.00
00:41:37.820 And so you don't want to be doing that. 1.00
00:41:40.160 Yeah.
00:41:41.480 Interesting.
00:41:42.200 Okay.
00:41:42.580 And then estrogen dominance.
00:41:44.020 So I haven't delved into this at all.
00:41:46.520 I've heard this popping up here and there.
00:41:48.080 What does estrogen dominance look like symptom wise?
00:41:50.980 So estrogen dominance symptom wise for me, how we discovered it is my body was producing
00:41:55.160 these avarian cysts. My hormones were completely off. My levels of like my testosterone versus my
00:42:00.100 progesterone was not, I wasn't feeling well, right? I'm going around bloated. I'm gaining
00:42:03.880 weight in weird areas of my body. I've always been very petite, but I have like weird weight
00:42:07.880 that would hold in different places. And I realized, okay, my body's not clearing out
00:42:12.920 estrogen properly. And it's because, and it's, then it leads to producing in my cases, producing
00:42:19.280 cysts and polyps. I'd get polyps in my uterus and I was getting these really, really painful,
00:42:24.120 large cysts. These are common too, for anyone listening, like weirdly common. And a lot of
00:42:30.180 women are not told this, right? Cause when you go to an OBGYN, they're just like, here, take the 1.00
00:42:34.880 pill. And that's, that's not figuring out the problem for you. Right. And estrogen dominance
00:42:39.580 can come from gene mutations. It's like you're the estrogen is just not clearing out of your body.
00:42:43.840 So you need to take things that help you clear it. I started getting into this thing called
00:42:47.740 Brock shot. I have no affiliation with these guys. I just really think it's a really great brand
00:42:51.520 and it's broccoli seed sprouts. And what it does, it leaches the excess estrogen out of you and you
00:42:57.080 kind of pee it out and it helps your body be more harmonious. And how you can also test yourself for
00:43:02.380 estrogen dominance is if you're having very, very painful periods. So your first couple of days of
00:43:07.800 your cycle, you're bloated, you're really heavy. Women are not, this is misinformation, women are 1.00
00:43:12.980 not meant to have painful cycles. Yeah, agreed. If you are having a painful cycle, you need to look
00:43:18.600 into that because that is not normal. And having things like PCOS, you should not be living with
00:43:23.480 PCOS. PCOS is a metabolic disorder. Your body is shouting to you and saying, I'm not feeling well,
00:43:30.000 that's a metabolic disorder. So healing your baseline health, reducing inflammation in your
00:43:35.120 body, watching out and seeing, are your cycles regular? Are they painful? Are they not painful?
00:43:39.920 That is all signs to be like, okay, is this estrogen dominance? Is this PCOS? What's going
00:43:44.340 out here and did you mostly like to get that under control take supplements and then do blood work
00:43:49.860 and just monitor it food diet has a big role in it i know when i'm eating clean and i'm eating
00:43:54.540 kind of more like keto style so high protein high fat i feel better i look better yeah um the minute
00:44:00.480 i don't have i don't have um i'm not celiac i don't have a gluten intolerance but the minute
00:44:04.460 i introduce kind of gluten in i don't feel as well so it's having that kind of balance um bringing
00:44:09.820 more of that in it's just becoming more aware what works for you what doesn't work for you
00:44:13.100 anything super starchy my body does feel a little bit inflamed so you just have to look for the
00:44:17.040 markers you know it's not rocket science you know we try to complicate things but if you really break
00:44:20.860 it down and be like keep a food diary observe yourself when you're eating you know i went from
00:44:26.020 being like lactose intolerant to realizing it's because i'm having pasteurized milk versus non
00:44:30.600 pasteurized okay let's get into that then yeah so i'm i'm so lactose intolerant it's not even funny
00:44:36.480 i wasn't you know for my entire life and then i cut out dairy went on a really really restricted
00:44:41.960 paleo diet to try and get my health under control so it was like almost keto not quite keto but like
00:44:47.520 heavy protein certain certain plants things tried to reintroduce dairy now this was in 2015 so i
00:44:54.780 reintroduced like my favorite cheese i don't know what was in the cheese but anyway went terribly
00:45:00.000 wrong i've tried a number of times can't do it terrified of the idea of trying raw milk because
00:45:04.240 i have this like underlying autoimmune disorder that's in remission but it was like i don't know
00:45:08.520 if dairy is just bad I've heard so many good things about raw milk but I'm like I don't know
00:45:14.540 is it meant for baby cows what's the problem with dairy is when it gets pasteurized yeah because
00:45:21.360 you're losing all the good probiotics and the reason people don't want to drink raw milk in
00:45:26.620 nature I actually I mean Alex Clark bonded over this I love raw milk but traditionally when I
00:45:31.800 used to have dairy I would break out I would get acne I just feel inflamed then I realized it's
00:45:35.660 the pasteurization of the process that's destroying it, right? If you have milk in
00:45:40.480 its actual natural form, unprocessed, organic, then you're getting all the benefits that really
00:45:47.000 help with gut health. And we realized that your gut is a baseline of most diseases that show up,
00:45:52.500 right? Everything kind of starts with the gut, you know, you would say. And it's really, really
00:45:57.580 good because the high levels of probiotics and the weight kind of is actually really healthy for you
00:46:01.280 overall. So I think raw milk is having a really big comeback because you're seeing all the health
00:46:06.020 benefits. I mean, Paul Saladino talks about this all day about like high protein and having a raw
00:46:11.240 diet, raw dairy, raw milk, um, raw, raw honey, you know, and going back to an ancestral diet.
00:46:19.640 And that's the whole thing. We're supposed to be eating like our ancestors, which is
00:46:22.640 less processed food, more food and the actual form it's supposed to be coming in and how that's
00:46:28.760 really healing for you. Yeah. So what part of you feeling better do you credit to diet versus,
00:46:36.600 I guess the other category would be supplements or versus like sleep changes, other biohacking?
00:46:43.140 I would say that the person I am today is a by-product also of a lot of plant medicine.
00:46:49.060 Oh yeah. Okay. So it wasn't just, you can't out-hack trauma. You can't out-supplement trauma.
00:46:54.960 you can't trick your emotional body into feeling better that type of plant medicine yeah okay so i
00:47:02.160 really think that everybody's obviously different but most of us have gone through some form of
00:47:07.960 trauma in our life you know some of us are like me maybe my story was a bit more extreme than others
00:47:12.900 but i felt that when i started taking care of my emotional body and started understanding a little
00:47:19.920 bit of my past and kind of started detangling that and the more work i've done over there i've
00:47:23.660 had a better grip on my health and I've had more clarity around my life and I've had more clarity
00:47:29.280 around purpose. And then everything started flowing. And this is really the year I will say
00:47:33.140 2025 and 42 this year. I feel like I'm fully living in alignment, not only with my purpose
00:47:38.840 and who I am, but I'm also living in a state of flow. Wow. Okay. Interesting. I didn't know that
00:47:45.720 was gonna take this kind of turn so i've done i i found hallucinogens incredibly helpful i think
00:47:54.180 when i was really confused like when i first started the health journey and was like was
00:47:59.160 like am i crazy this is this was 2015 so and so and everyone was telling me i was crazy for like
00:48:04.800 cutting out processed foods and being like plastic is bad well what else in my environment that
00:48:09.460 smells weird does that light isn't the right type of light it's like what's going on am i insane
00:48:14.420 um and psychedelics definitely helped so what have you had experience with so i started my
00:48:23.320 journey with like i would say plant medicine um i i firstly personally relate more to the plant
00:48:29.480 side of things versus the synthetic i think just just to break it out like things like ketamine
00:48:34.160 and stuff i've done in a clinical setting and stuff the thing is that stuff is synthetic and
00:48:38.040 I feel like real plant medicine has a soul it's old it had it's it's it's it's alive in a very
00:48:44.440 different way the molecular structure is yeah plants themselves have wisdom they were here
00:48:49.880 before the dawn time right so they have they've seen it all and done it all you know so I feel
00:48:54.780 like plant medicine speaks to you very differently than synthetic medicines like MDMA or ketamine
00:48:59.020 um I started my journey in plant medicine with ayahuasca and I've been doing ayahuasca for six
00:49:05.160 years now i go at least once a year i try to and it has completely changed my life i've obviously
00:49:10.540 an ayahuasca i've done mushrooms recently that i posted about i've done iboga at iboga ceremony and
00:49:15.540 i've done buffo which is the frog which is a dmt yeah and each one is completely different each
00:49:21.340 medicine is completely different the way it communicates is completely different but i think
00:49:25.040 for me i would always go back to ayah because and ayah is a female plant by the way she's known as
00:49:32.140 a grandmother in sacred medicine circles, and it's been completely transformative. It's changed
00:49:37.700 my life completely. I would not be who I am today and who I'm becoming without having these
00:49:42.860 experiences. So when you, when you experience like that kind of transformation, is it telling
00:49:49.860 you things that you didn't know at all, or that you think you kind of knew deep down and weren't
00:49:55.860 paying attention to, if that makes sense? It allows you to work through layers of your
00:50:00.560 subconscious mind so you can actually get back in touch with yourself. We have been so programmed
00:50:07.620 through fear, through our childhood, through trauma, through what the media feeds us, through
00:50:12.480 our fears of not being good enough or, you know, having to follow the herd that it helps you read
00:50:18.500 through all that noise and go back to your true self and get really clear in your core with who
00:50:23.540 you are. And do you think doing that calmed your nervous system down so that you could heal easier?
00:50:28.960 when your nervous system is constantly on edge it's because there's a disconnect with the way
00:50:33.960 you're living and where your soul is actually trying to say to you and when you start going
00:50:38.280 back more to your why and your purpose and going back to why am I here what is my purpose what is
00:50:43.780 my journey what am I here to do you get a really big sense of peace and calm because you realize
00:50:50.020 you're on the right path and that suits you you know you're on the right journey you know you're
00:50:53.940 on the right path that doesn't mean a shitty driver on the road is not going to stress you out
00:50:57.400 but there's a certain level of peace that enters your life and a certain level of calm that you
00:51:03.000 haven't experienced before and when you've done ceremony work the way I've been doing it for like
00:51:06.860 six years now when things do come up Michaela because I've experienced such incredible euphoric
00:51:13.060 peace I'm able to recreate that experience because my body has felt that experience so
00:51:18.860 it's training your body it's training your mind to go back to that place interesting interesting
00:51:25.120 okay that's cool i've i like when i first started trying to get healthy
00:51:32.320 i thought everything was woo woo yeah even even at that stage even when i was like i was like i'm
00:51:39.060 also woo i don't know but i think trying to figure out what you're meant to do so that you're not it's
00:51:45.600 almost like you're living a lie if you're doing something you're not meant to do and trying to
00:51:51.020 figure that out is really complicated. I think like journaling can help and like feeling your
00:51:57.580 body when you're doing things. You're like, I don't want to do this. Maybe don't do it because
00:52:02.060 maybe on a nervous system level, it's way worse for you than you think it is. But I can see how
00:52:06.860 plan medicine helps with that or like just cuts through it instantly. It's like speeds up the
00:52:11.120 process of trying to figure it out. You know, when people are like, one, I will say, and I'll
00:52:15.180 preface this for anybody listening, you have to be very, very, very, very careful with who you sit
00:52:20.200 with because you energetically are so open so that people around you or energies coming in can
00:52:24.900 make a difference so choose the circle really wisely right but the beautiful thing about plant
00:52:30.480 medicine is it will rip through the bullshit and it's you against you it's not you against somebody
00:52:35.340 else and it will take everything you need to work on and put it right in front of you like a deck of 0.98
00:52:39.480 cards and say do you want to do this or not and if you want to do this this is the path forward
00:52:43.300 and so for me my plant medicine ceremonies have been so transformative and obviously I don't want
00:52:48.120 to talk about six years worth of plant medicine, but let me, I'll break down three ceremonies I've
00:52:51.440 had with Aya and kind of walk you through it. So my father didn't talk to me for about nine years
00:52:56.040 before he passed. He had a whole second family behind our back. He would not talk to me.
00:53:00.800 He, and I'll get into how I found out he even died. The first time I went to do plant medicine
00:53:05.660 was in 2019, November, 2019. And I went to do an ayahuasca ceremony and in Mexico, and I thought
00:53:12.080 my mom would come through because I was closer to her. And nope, my dad comes through and he sits
00:53:16.460 down and I went into this inner child I became like five-year-old Iman and I sit down and I'm
00:53:21.340 just crying and I was like I missed you we were best friends because I was very close to my father
00:53:24.920 till I was 12 and then when I became older it became me like rejected me and he rejected me
00:53:30.480 because he saw a lot of himself in me but he saw a lot of my mother in me as well and I turned out
00:53:34.040 to be this very strong independent woman he did not like it because he couldn't control me he
00:53:38.500 controlled all the other kids through money I'm the only child from both parents but he could not
00:53:42.560 do that with me because i had this very independent fierce spirit he comes during the ceremony and we
00:53:48.120 talk and i cry and i air it out and he said in this life i cannot be more for you so you need
00:53:53.520 to stop looking for better from me i can't i'm too pregnant for this conversation and i i can't
00:54:00.320 be more for you and um he says to me i'm gonna die you're gonna make me cry now sorry i don't
00:54:09.540 you just didn't cry i'm like i'm gonna pass away and you need to be prepared for it because
00:54:14.560 this is your closure i'm giving you your closure and um i come out of ceremony and i go to my
00:54:22.160 my husband who's at my boyfriend at the time and i'm crying like this um and i go to my husband
00:54:27.720 well he was my boyfriend at the time and i said he was like how was your first ceremony and i was
00:54:31.860 like great ceremony great i think my dad came through he said he's gonna pass he's like you
00:54:37.500 haven't I spoken to this man in nine years he's told you he's gonna pass and I said yes
00:54:41.360 Michaela my dad did die he died in approximately less than a year I found out he died through a
00:54:50.420 Instagram DM where somebody sent me a picture of his body because a woman he married as a second
00:54:56.940 wife behind our family's back buried him without telling us oh my gosh and didn't tell his other
00:55:04.100 kids with the ones from my my mom was his second wife and then this woman was his third and um
00:55:10.980 I remember getting that news but because I'd had this experience in the ayahuasca ceremony
00:55:15.420 I was prepared wow I was prepared for it and it got me through it and I was able to deal with his
00:55:22.220 death in a very very different way and have very different profound understanding of what had
00:55:26.780 happened so that's one that's my first encounter with ayahuasca 2019 that's insane yeah and if I
00:55:33.740 hadn't done that ceremony can you imagine the amount of questions or the like pain i would have
00:55:39.360 been in because i would always wondered what happened you know but because he spoke to me
00:55:43.160 and he kind of prepared me for his death it was like the biggest gift he probably gave me
00:55:47.200 years go down the line and i'll go into like two and a half years ago two and a half years ago i
00:55:51.620 want to start changing the trajectory of the company our agency is taking a beating i've
00:55:57.600 lost a lot of revenue i lost eighty thousand dollars in monthly revenue oh that okay that's
00:56:02.320 hurt that hurt my husband's you know a banker and stuff so he's looking at me from across the room 0.58
00:56:06.500 and he's just like what the fuck is going on here how are you gonna how are you gonna make payroll 0.98
00:56:09.860 like what are you gonna do and I said I don't know he's like do you have a plan I said I don't 0.98
00:56:13.340 know I'm gonna figure it out I'm gonna figure it out I'm gonna figure it out he's terrified for me
00:56:16.980 he's like my husband is like very like frugal and very and I'm more the entrepreneur in the
00:56:22.040 relationship so he's looking at me he's like holy shit I go he's like braced for impact I think I 0.70
00:56:27.580 gave him a lot of anxiety. He's like, this girl always is living on the edge. And I go into the 0.97
00:56:33.000 ceremony and I get with the medicine and I'm like, please, for the love of God, I cannot do this
00:56:37.260 anymore. I have a team. I have overheads. I have employees like help me. And the medicine says to
00:56:42.540 me, you're asking for this, but are you truly ready? And I was like, what the hell does that
00:56:47.740 mean? I was like, are you truly ready for what you're asking for? Are you truly ready to show
00:56:52.640 up as a CEO? You're, you have to be, are you truly ready? Because you will work harder than
00:56:56.920 you've ever worked in your entire life. You will sacrifice your personal life, but this is what
00:57:01.380 it's going to take for you to get there. And I was like, yes, I'm willing to do it, whatever you
00:57:04.960 want. And not only that, the medicine was like the people who you sit with, because we've been
00:57:10.080 sitting with the same people for six years. This is the spiritual family you've chosen. They may
00:57:15.760 not be the same social class as you. They might not ever be as wealthy as you become, but remember
00:57:20.720 that this is your container. These people have held the space and prayed for you to get to where
00:57:25.200 you are. So never forget where you come from and never forget the people who help you get there.
00:57:29.240 Mikayla, I came back from that ceremony. But in this course of six months, our business turned
00:57:34.300 around. We became so profitable. We started getting in all these kinds of clients that people I wanted
00:57:40.780 to work with. And I was like, oh my God, like what just happened? And then my most recent ceremony
00:57:47.280 was probably my most impactful. So last September, just now, I went to an ayahuasca ceremony. I went
00:57:53.760 to ecuador and it's my second night of my ceremony and i've never been so out of but now i know it's
00:58:01.440 because i did this deep cellular detox and my body was really clean when i was going in for the
00:58:05.160 medicine i feel like a second it's the second night we sit three so we sit two nights and then
00:58:10.560 we take a break and we sit in a day ceremony so it's the second night my head tilts back and i
00:58:16.060 feel like this light going through like literally enter my throat and go into my chest and start
00:58:19.980 expanding my chest and I hear a voice clear as day this voice comes through and it's like do you
00:58:25.960 will you surrender your will you surrender your soul and your life to me now if I was Christian
00:58:30.220 I'd be like oh this is Jesus Christ but I'm not so I'm like what is this I'm Muslim so I'm like 0.79
00:58:34.340 what is this voice and it just says to me I'm asking you to surrender and if you surrender 1.00
00:58:40.640 I will put you on the path that you're meant to be on and I'll put you in rooms with people and
00:58:46.380 places and you will never have to ask me how you got there, but you will know that this is for your
00:58:50.640 highest good. And you need to live a life in service to me because through you is how I create
00:58:56.220 through you is how I show up in the world. And I was like, Oh, this is God. And it was the most
00:59:01.260 insane experience. And so it was almost like in that ceremony, when I'm on it, it's almost like
00:59:07.080 I gave like the reins of my life over and did not ask any questions. But now that I look back on it,
00:59:11.820 it wasn't only a surrender to God and creator. It was a surrender to myself
00:59:15.820 in order to walk the path that I meant to walk. And that same night, this is so crazy.
00:59:24.300 I have been kind of on this like big yo-yo with like having children and having a lot of anxiety
00:59:28.720 around it because something that happened in my 20s. And my mom comes through, she's carrying
00:59:33.940 our daughter and she goes, look, I've been keeping your baby. And this little girl starts speaking
00:59:40.180 to me and she goes, I've been here all along. You don't listen. You are so caught up in your
00:59:45.720 own fears, in your own mind. I'm trying to come through and you're not allowing me to come through.
00:59:50.100 And I asked her, and at the time I thought I had a massive fibroid, I'd have to get a surrogate,
00:59:54.460 all of this stuff. And I asked her, how do you want to come through? And she starts laughing.
00:59:58.680 She's like, don't worry about how I'm going to come through. Start paying attention because I'm
01:00:02.500 ready to be next to you and you are not ready for me. Like you're not paying attention. I'm right
01:00:06.760 here. And she says to me, I'm going to blow your mind. You have no idea who I'm going to even be
01:00:12.720 or how much I'm going to expand you, but you need to be ready. And I come back from the ceremony.
01:00:18.520 It was in September. Obviously, I've been doing a lot of work on my fertility from a health
01:00:23.060 perspective, but my numbers start changing. I thought I had this fibroid, like I said,
01:00:27.360 and I had to get a surrogate. Turns out I don't need to get a surrogate and I can carry.
01:00:30.920 and now that i look back i realized that this little girl was speaking about trauma that i had
01:00:39.020 in my first marriage because i was married previously when i was in my 20s because i was
01:00:43.960 in a really abusive relationship and what that did to my body and she said when she said you're
01:00:48.920 not paying attention yeah right you are not being honest with yourself and i kept asking her how do
01:00:54.540 you want to come through is it through a surrogate do i adopt like she's like don't worry about how
01:00:58.740 I'm going to come through. You need to prepare yourself. Wow. Crazy. That last one almost got
01:01:08.080 me too. This whole brain scene podcasting thing is not great. And it's just crazy to me because
01:01:15.260 I've had these out of body and just say that ceremony that says, I will put you in rooms
01:01:20.720 with people in places that you will not even imagine how you've got there, but you will know
01:01:24.600 it's because you are meant to go there. You are meant to tell your story. You're meant to be in
01:01:28.700 these rooms and now when shit happens like the most insane shit has started happening to me 0.91
01:01:33.300 and opportunities come in or people come in and i'm like okay it's you it's you because i i made 0.53
01:01:39.940 a pact with you then i'm going to walk in your light i'm going to i'm going to live out of purpose
01:01:43.940 for you wow that's quite a story okay well if people want to follow you online where do they go
