00:00:00.000 Prime Minister Mark Carney isn't even trying to hide the fact that he's a fraud.
00:00:05.140 He isn't even attempting to pretend like he's trying to get a trade deal with Donald Trump and the Americans anymore.
00:00:12.120 You know, that one really, really big campaign promise he made in the 2025 federal election?
00:00:19.280 It was only a year and a half ago.
00:00:21.540 Vote for me because I'm going to get a trade deal with the Americans and I know how to deal with Donald Trump.
00:00:26.740 Well, now Carney's new strategy is apparently, I'm just going to wait until Trump's not even the president anymore, and then I'll try and get a trade deal with the next president.
00:00:36.680 Check out this excerpt from a new interview he did with Politico.
00:00:41.220 Is it acceptable to you to never get the chance, never seal a new trade deal with Donald Trump?
00:00:48.860 I would flip the question around.
00:00:51.840 We will conclude a deal that's in Canada's interest.
00:00:56.740 when one is available. We're not going to conclude something for the sake of concluding it.
00:01:02.480 We're not going to lock in something that's not in Canada's interest.
00:01:05.900 I'm sorry, but before we get to the rest of this video, he's acting as if trade deals have just
00:01:11.980 not been offered at the buffet yet. He would love to get a trade deal. There's just none available
00:01:17.000 right now. The whole point of electing you, Prime Minister, was because apparently you had the
00:01:24.960 secret sauce to get a good trade deal on the table and signed. You know, that's what most people
00:01:31.300 would consider to be somebody with good negotiating skills. You can create the opportunities and
00:01:37.420 actually execute on them to get what we want. But apparently, ah, there's no good trade deal,
00:01:44.200 so I'm not going to sign it. What have you done in the past year and a half to actually try and
00:01:50.480 get a good trade deal. All three times there's been any negotiations going on between Canada
00:01:56.660 and the United States, Carney and his Canadian team were the ones who ended up walking away from
00:02:02.400 the table. Now, I'm not saying sign anything. I think I've said that like a million times on this
00:02:07.800 channel at this point. But I'm saying keep negotiating. Keep pushing for a good deal.
00:02:13.460 Apparently, you know how to get one. But no, Carney's acting like my hands are tied. There's
00:02:18.800 just no good trade deals on offer right now i checked the buffet and they weren't there so we
00:02:25.320 can't have one then what was the point of you having good skills if it was all luck anyways
00:02:30.200 that apparently the only skill is waiting a long time to get a good trade deal of course lore
00:02:36.180 babcock would probably say well of course that's what we want we just want a prime minister patient
00:02:41.680 enough to wait out the evil orange man pierpaglia would have signed something terrible on day one
00:02:47.620 but Carney will wait 10,000 years to sign the best possible trade deal, and I'm okay with that.
00:02:52.800 But that's just a delusional way of thinking.
00:02:56.120 Sorry, we need to live in the physical real world where people are losing their jobs
00:03:00.640 because he's not signing anything.
00:03:02.740 Again, don't sign anything, but sign something.
00:03:06.400 Try and push forward towards a good trade deal that you would be willing to sign
00:03:09.600 rather than negotiating for a week, getting fed up with what the Americans were offering,
00:03:13.640 then just walking away from the table and getting mad at more Donald Trump memes.
00:03:17.620 but let's finish up this clip here. We have agency. We have options. We are building this
00:03:22.720 economy domestically at home. As I say, we're not going to do it just for the sake of it.
00:03:27.280 So another way of it. I'm sorry. Okay. One, it looks like him and the male commentator here,
00:03:32.380 the male interviewer are like playing footsie just based on how their feet look. Not actually,
00:03:37.140 it's just the camera angle. I just noticed that and I can't not see it now, but he's saying,
00:03:42.120 like we have agency we have we can make our own choices we can build at home i'm sorry yes we
00:03:48.740 have agency so why is he not using his agency to make it more likely that we're going to get a good
00:03:53.580 trade deal rather than moving us away from it the eu doesn't even want to associate with us because
00:03:58.940 of the antagonistic relationship that carney and trump have and the eu looks at both of them and
00:04:05.400 says well america's still more worthwhile being a partner with so we'll kind of put any you know
00:04:11.360 we will put sort of making our ties closer with canada on hold for now because in fact you actually
00:04:17.920 want a better relationship with the americans before canada because it's the bigger economy
00:04:22.800 but i need to go back and hear him say that again it's so weak just this kind of
00:04:28.020 meh kind of response to the fact that we can't get a trade deal well we're building stuff at home
00:04:34.640 no we're not we're losing jobs canada's interest we have agency we have options we are building
00:04:40.700 this economy domestically at home. As I say, we're not going to do it just for the sake of it.
00:04:45.560 So another way of asking would be, you're willing to wait for the next US president if that's what
00:04:50.160 it takes? Well, we'll have to if that's what it takes. American families, American businesses
00:04:56.020 will also lose out because of that. They're not winners in this circumstance. Every month that
00:05:01.800 goes by, Canada grows stronger, our options increase. Ultimately, we'll be a better partner
00:05:08.200 for the United States. That's not why we're doing this. We're doing this to create more
00:05:12.780 opportunity for Canadians. What is this man smoking? We literally had our job growth numbers
00:05:21.580 from July get estimated not only downward, but into the negatives. In July, Statistics Canada
00:05:29.340 had previously said that we had gained 26,000 jobs. And there were so many liberal commentators
00:05:35.080 running around social media and on television saying, this is the strength of carnianomics.
00:05:39.700 Look, we've been on a run of four or five months with job growth. And then they estimated from
00:05:44.720 plus 26,000 jobs to minus 15,000, bordering on 16,000 jobs. And then we lost around, what was
00:05:53.140 it, like 40,000 jobs in August. And then we lost 70,000 jobs in September. And it looks like we
00:06:00.360 are going to be losing jobs in October as well. How are we getting stronger every month or quarter
00:06:07.420 or whatever measurement he was using? And he couldn't bring himself to say the Americans
00:06:11.840 are getting weaker, but he did say that this is all hurting American business. Now, I actually
00:06:16.780 agree, tariffs do hurt American business. I think it's a very foolish policy for Donald Trump to be 0.94
00:06:22.640 pursuing, just trying to build up the American economy simply by basically forcing investments
00:06:28.380 in the United States if you want to sell in the United States rather than just making your economy
00:06:33.320 more competitive and naturally drawing more investment in. But at the same time, in this
00:06:39.440 trade conflict between Canada and the United States, which of course I will say, yes, Trump
00:06:44.160 started it. Carney just profoundly sucks at dealing with it. But within this trade conflict, 0.98
00:06:50.120 the United States is still gaining jobs pretty much every month while Canada has been losing
00:06:55.080 jobs there was like a couple months where i think canada had like gained you know 30 40 000 jobs as
00:07:00.360 we were heading into the summer and i think the u.s had like a slight down quarter or it was like
00:07:05.380 or a down month or i think it was just kind of like a generally disappointing month and everyone
00:07:10.440 was crowing in the liberal media about how all seem so you don't the americans wish mark carney
00:07:16.540 was leading their country instead of donald trump and then our jobs fell off a cliff and they just
00:07:22.460 went mum about it. We have not had any CBC power panels talking about, hey, it's now three, four
00:07:29.500 months straight of significant job losses. What's going on here? They have either not talked about
00:07:35.400 it. And if anyone's whispered about it, like anyone broke onto the set and mentioned the fact
00:07:39.780 that the job numbers are really bad, they just immediately say Trump, Trump's responsible. And
00:07:45.140 is the trade conflict that Trump started in the large part responsible for the weak economy? Sure.
00:07:52.000 but that's probably about 30% of the reason. The other 70% is the weak Canadian domestic economy
00:08:00.240 because of taxes and regulations. Things that Carney has basically not touched at all. This
00:08:07.900 financial wizard doesn't know how to grow the economy. He doesn't know how to get a trade deal
00:08:12.080 and the only thing he's currently doing is just signing agreements with foreign governments like
00:08:17.240 Turkey to maybe one day potentially trade a little bit more. So we won't talk to Donald Trump
00:08:23.540 because he was the one who started the trade conflict and he posts memes online. You know,
00:08:29.120 that country that most of the time is a really solid ally of us, even if they can be kind of
00:08:33.780 annoying sometimes. Fair enough. We can be kind of annoying sometimes too. Not letting them off
00:08:38.240 the hook. I'm just saying that's the relationship here. We won't talk to them, but Carney will go
00:08:44.540 to Turkey and talk to Erdogan, who is a Muslim Brotherhood dictator who runs his own terror 0.53
00:08:53.020 proxies in the Middle East the same way that Iran does. What? So we will not talk to Trump 0.93
00:09:00.920 because people like Laura Babcock and Charlie Angus call him a fascist dictator, but we will 0.98
00:09:07.720 literally go and talk to a fascist Islamist dictator. Make it make sense, people. But I need
00:09:14.560 to bring you over now to another clip here that I find quite interesting. Again, it's just the kind
00:09:20.540 of delusional nature of how Mark Carney's kind of proceeding here, acting as if somehow all this
00:09:27.620 is a big win at the same time he's ejecting his own campaign promises. But before I get into the
00:09:32.840 next one, I do want to remind you guys, if you like the show, make sure to leave a like on the
00:09:37.160 video. Subscribe if you are not yet a subscriber. Leave a comment with what you think about all
00:09:43.020 this. And if you really want to help the show out, hit the join button below the video and become a
00:09:47.620 monthly contributing member of the channel. A few dollars a month really helps make it more
00:09:51.580 sustainable for me and allows me to not need any sponsorships or anything like that in order to do
00:09:56.740 the channel full time. Anyways, but now let us get into this clip posted by Scott Robertson here.
00:10:04.260 Scott Robertson actually works for Midas Media, who Charlie Angus also works for.
00:10:08.480 It's a left-wing progressive front group, but sometimes I find their clips interesting
00:10:13.660 because they tend to clip things in such a way to try and make the liberals look good
00:10:17.940 and the conservatives look bad.
00:10:19.720 But I almost kind of like it because they end up basically providing me their steel man argument
00:10:25.480 for why, you know, Carney is doing a good job.
00:10:28.320 This is supposed to be like a good clip for Mark Carney here,
00:10:32.080 where he's talking about reducing U.S. dependency.
00:10:36.240 Can Europe replace the U.S. as Canada's closest ally?
00:10:42.140 I'm going to answer that one.
00:10:45.300 No. No teacher.
00:10:47.760 No, they can't.
00:10:49.700 Practically, they just can't.
00:10:51.420 It's not like a, oh, why it's so beholden to the American boors. 0.70
00:10:57.720 It's like, no, we just can't replace America with Europe.
00:11:02.620 We trade like two to three times more with the United Kingdom than we do with all of Europe.
00:11:06.920 Not even the EU, just all of Europe.
00:11:08.920 We're not replacing even a single American state with the European Union.
00:11:14.460 We probably trade more with Montana or Idaho than we do with like large European countries.
00:11:22.120 Some of the small states we probably do more business with than a lot of European countries combined.
00:11:28.300 Rhode Island, Connecticut, we probably do a lot more business with them.
00:11:33.160 Well, I think I'd say a couple of things.
00:11:35.320 One, the bounds, you would have picked this up, between Canadians and Americans are longstanding.
00:11:42.180 They're very strong, and big elements of that will be maintained,
00:11:47.700 regardless of the government in Canada, the government in the United States, the combination
00:11:52.040 of the two. However, the lesson we've taken, Canadians as a whole, and I would say I suspect
00:11:58.740 that virtually everyone you spoke to had some version of what I'm about to say, which is we're
00:12:05.520 over-dependent on the United States, too closely connected to the United States.
00:12:10.700 Can we actually define that? Now, to be fair, it's an interview where he's not doing a dissertation,
00:12:15.340 But it's been a while where people just say this and no one's ever actually said, what is dependency? What is then over dependency? It's like whenever people say, you know, far right. Well, what's right? What's center right? What's center and what's left? In fact, there's no actual definition for what dependency and over dependency is.
00:12:39.460 I wouldn't say that we're dependent on the United States. I think that we're heavily advantaged by the United States, just as the United States is heavily advantaged by being with Canada. A lot of their trade is with Canada as well.
00:12:52.040 Now, they're such a big economy with a lot of, you know, port facilities and other, you know, bordering countries like Mexico and the Caribbean islands that are right over there and whatnot.
00:13:03.640 They're closer to South America than we are.
00:13:05.420 So they have a lot of world market access so they can trade overseas more.
00:13:10.160 We have a little bit less of that.
00:13:11.920 We're less built up.
00:13:13.100 So we trade more with the United States than the U.S. trades with us.
00:13:17.120 Also, we're the smaller partner.
00:13:18.380 We do a lot more raw resource, like extraction.
00:13:21.380 So it makes sense we send a lot of it to the United States where they do more manufacturing of products that are then shipped overseas and whatnot.
00:13:29.200 But at the same time, I don't consider that a dependency. It's just an opportunity.
00:13:34.200 A dependency would be like how Alberta has to send a lot of its oil down to the United States at a lower price than pretty much any jurisdiction normally has to,
00:13:45.940 simply because it's like one of the only places where we can get our oil out to a different market.
00:13:51.360 Now, that is a dependency between Canada and the United States.
00:13:56.460 But overall, our trade relationship is not a dependency.
00:14:00.400 And sorry, getting worse prices by going overseas, having to do more cumbersome trade
00:14:08.460 by going to, like, Africa and Europe and Asia
00:14:12.700 is not somehow, like, freeing us up in some way.
00:14:17.060 Of course, you want to have some diversity
00:14:19.160 in terms of your trade partners,
00:14:20.840 but I always hate this kind of presupposition we make
00:14:23.960 that somehow trading a certain percentage
00:14:25.940 with the United States is now bad.
00:14:28.280 It's just inherently bad.
00:14:30.360 I'm sorry, are Canadian provinces too dependent
00:14:33.040 on one another for trade between each other?
00:14:35.800 no obviously we consider building things and and you know you know being able to grow our own food
00:14:43.740 at home and manufacturing our own products for use at home we don't consider that oh we're too
00:14:48.200 dependent on ourselves that's not bad so being dependent between borders between canada united
00:14:53.560 states is a benefit it's a boon for both countries and we need to build our strength here at home
00:15:00.880 and diversify and deepen our partnerships with like-minded countries.
00:15:06.340 Apparently, Turkey is involved in that group.
00:15:09.360 And China, you know, the country, he said, was our biggest national security threat
00:15:13.720 in the same election that he said that he could get a deal with Donald Trump.
00:15:17.520 China, our biggest national security threat, is now a friend.
00:15:21.540 And Trump and the Americans, who Carney previously wanted to get a trade deal with, 0.99
00:15:25.340 is the country that we should now be trying to diversify away from
00:15:30.280 as like a just inherent good it's inherently good to trade with them less even if we are literally
00:15:36.200 losing jobs and companies like Stelco Steel are having to temporarily lay off workers because
00:15:42.020 there's just nowhere to actually ship the steel to the American market is pretty much cut off to
00:15:47.280 Canadian steel because of the high tariffs so what's the point internationally now when we
00:15:52.760 look around the world we see our values most aligned with those of the European Union and
00:16:00.220 in fact we're very complementary in what our strengths are and that's why the partnership
00:16:05.060 is moving. Now it's very hard to quote replace certainly in the short term the scale of the
00:16:13.680 relationship with the United States but again what this partnership does, this association
00:16:18.720 between can the european union does for both of us is it makes us both more independent more
00:16:26.080 resilient more prosperous better able to live so our citizens can live their lives as they choose
00:16:33.200 and not have them influenced by a foreign technology company uh or decision in some
00:16:40.080 foreign capital can you so like i'm gonna be eventually making a video on carney's very
00:16:46.480 strange obsession with his whole EU associate membership and however he's trying to relabel
00:16:52.260 that initiative now. He never campaigned on his very strange need for people to see him
00:17:01.340 as a sophisticated European. I'm sorry, I'm not European in the sense that I get along far better
00:17:09.520 with Americans than I do with Europeans. We just are not very similar to somebody in Italy compared
00:17:15.000 to somebody in arkansas or somebody in new york or somebody in connecticut or washington or oregon
00:17:20.660 we're just a lot more like americans because we are americans we're in north america than we are
00:17:28.060 like people in spain or in greece or germany it's just not the same place culturally speaking but
00:17:36.780 carney really is going to ruin our economy he's going to hurt our economy for this effectively
00:17:43.620 cocktail party bragging rights that he's made canada a more sophisticated european destination
00:17:49.540 for travel and for you know commerce and whatnot is it better well no europe itself has been
00:17:55.520 stagnating economically for quite a while now but we're going to be stronger tying ourselves to a
00:18:01.480 trade block that has been stagnating for a long time and in fact doesn't really want anything to
00:18:07.160 do with us right now because even they want to be more dependent on the united states these days
00:18:12.200 because it's the more powerful economy, it's the hottest ticket in town,
00:18:16.020 if you're actually trying to grow your economy, you want to trade with them more. 0.98
00:18:19.520 They probably think we're complete fools, 0.90
00:18:21.220 and they probably want to fill the vacuum of products 0.97
00:18:23.520 that Canada is no longer sending to the Americans if they can help it.
00:18:27.740 Like, this is why Germany, Italy, and Greece are three EU countries
00:18:31.420 saying no alliance with Canada, no associate EU membership.
00:18:36.080 Carney's trying to play it off as, ah, they just don't like the title.
00:18:38.720 No, no, no. They don't like the idea at all.
00:18:42.200 Because, again, they want a good relationship with Trump.
00:18:45.360 Doesn't mean they're pro-Trump.
00:18:46.720 They, whether they're faking it or not, want him to like them so they can do more business together.
00:18:53.340 Carney and the Canadian economy run by the liberals is just not a very tantalizing option right now.
00:18:59.900 And so they're pushing us onto the back burner so they can do more business with America. 0.96
00:19:06.440 Carney kind of sucks at this. 0.99
00:19:08.160 He's just a massive fraud. 1.00
00:19:09.800 Everything he said during the election campaign has basically been turned onto its head. 0.63
00:19:13.880 We went from, we need to make a deal with the Americans and you should make me prime minister
00:19:18.700 because I know how to get a deal with Trump.
00:19:20.480 In fact, I've dealt with him before.
00:19:22.460 China, that country is our biggest national security threat. 1.00
00:19:25.760 And now we're at, China is actually our best friend. 1.00
00:19:29.840 We need to become a European country and screw the Americans. 0.99
00:19:33.780 It's actually a good thing we're not trading with them as much.
00:19:36.320 i don't even know i don't even know guys anyways but before i wrap up this video
00:19:43.040 i do just want to circle back to another story we talked about a couple videos ago
00:19:48.700 and just marvel at the lack of media coverage there has been some media coverage but
00:19:53.920 in terms of like the lack of media fascination and criticism that this has generated
00:20:01.120 Mark Carney gave his wife a $1.2 billion budget and a new job title that has never been created before in Canada, Ocean Envoy.
00:20:13.300 Diana Fox Carney got a $1.2 billion budget to pretend to be Aquaman and go investigate suspicious barnacles over climate change or whatever.
00:20:24.380 And this has somehow escaped the CBC power panel.
00:20:28.240 How have we not talked about this?
00:20:30.160 Like, my goodness, it'll probably be something about, oh, she wants to coordinate, you know, ocean reclamation initiatives between countries and talk about how the climate is affecting the Great Barrier Reef or whatever, you know, and our Arctic Circle and whatnot.
00:20:47.360 No, stop it.
00:20:49.420 If Trump did this with Melania, it would be in news stories for like three weeks of everyone making fun of him for making her the envoy of something that never existed before.
00:20:58.080 But apparently, Diana Fox Carney being a sophisticated person with a PhD, if you give her $1.2 billion to have a fakie made-up job, then it's actually an okay thing to do because Mark Carney possesses European sophistication and class, ergo his corruption giving his wife $1.2 billion to pretend to be one of the super friends is totally okay.
00:21:22.180 What?
00:21:23.140 Stop. 1.00
00:21:24.140 No, shut up. 1.00
00:21:25.900 What are we doing, people? 0.95
00:21:27.380 We have a deficit where if we took that $1.2 billion and just put it towards putting down the deficit,
00:21:35.960 we'd reduce it by 2% or 3%.
00:21:38.280 That's not a bad deal. 1.00
00:21:40.140 Sorry, your wife can just have a different hobby. 1.00
00:21:43.920 Ocean Envoy, what? 1.00
00:21:45.760 Even if that was already a pre-existing part of the government budget and just kind of been reallocated for this,
00:21:51.440 put it towards something else put it towards anything else like what are we doing stop with
00:21:57.120 the climate change initiatives we gave brazil 120 bill a million dollars or something like that
00:22:03.920 for like climate change initiatives in the rainforest stop if lula da silva after
00:22:10.480 between printing fake ballots wants to figure out the rainforest problem himself let him let him do
00:22:16.080 it between trying to lock up his political opponents and printing fake ballots he can
00:22:20.560 can figure out how to free up $128 million to go and save the rainforest. It's not our
00:22:26.140 responsibility. And we're, like, farting out money left and right for, like, gender equity
00:22:30.300 initiatives in Pakistan and funding some sort of, like, you know, new technology studies
00:22:36.240 development program for kids in Gaza. No, we don't have the money for it. I am not inherently
00:22:42.040 against foreign aid. I'm fine with it if it makes sense. Sometimes it's good for building
00:22:47.940 your reputation as a country. But we're just giving money to crooks. And we think that this
00:22:52.960 is going to help us in some way. We don't do any business with Brazil. We're not going to be doing
00:22:56.980 any business with its protectionist socialist government. I'm sorry. But at the same time,
00:23:02.640 we would probably, we have a government that probably like sees the rest of all the South
00:23:06.540 American presidents and prime ministers as all like fascist dictators for being on the center
00:23:11.580 right, my goodness. But we will hang out with and give lots of money to Lula da Silva, who is
00:23:17.140 pro-terror and also obviously a dictator. Anyways, so with all that being said, thank you guys for
00:23:24.060 watching. Make sure to like, share, subscribe, do all that fun stuff, and I'll see you all later.
