but a few weeks ago, I started working for then independent MLA Tara Armstrong. She is now one of

two MLAs alongside Dallas Brody who have formed the one BC party that is meant to actually have

a conservative voice inside the legislature. The BC Conservative Party has a lot of good

conservatives in it, but that party is being ruled by a small coterie of very woke former BC liberal

MLAs who don't want anyone saying anything conservative at all, even if it was things

that the conservatives in fact ran on in the 2024 BC provincial election. To give you an example of

just how weird the party has gotten under John Rustad since the election happened, in the election

they ran on scrapping DRIPA, the Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous People that basically allows for

ban councils to hold up any resource project they want based on an extremely expansive definition

of what land title is and what their rights and the regulations they can implement on that land are.

And then also there is SOGI, the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity, you know, one, two, three,

basically curriculum. It's not really curriculum, I guess it's more a program attached to the curriculum.

Since the election, the conservatives are now in favor of DRIPA and UNDRIP. At times they will say

they're against DRIPA, but in the same breath like John Rustad has done, he will then say,

actually though, we are, we want to follow the principles of UNDRIP, which is actually the even

more insane version of DRIPA that was what the NDP basically implemented to try and fall in line with

UNDRIP. And then on SOGI, while again they will complain about SOGI in the legislature,

they have put forward a bill that I actually read a couple of weeks ago, or maybe it was just last

week, but the conservatives just want to modify SOGI 1, 2, 3 now. SOGI is fully bad. It needs to

be repealed, and that is in part why 1BC exists. Have a party that's actually saying, scrap it all,

replace it with nothing. We don't need this in schools at all. But the conservatives just want

to take age-inappropriate materials out of libraries and not even mandate it happen, form some

sort of body or committee that will observe or oversee the materials that are being put into

all. Just because you're not putting pornography into libraries doesn't mean the book's contents are

out of the libraries that elementary school students and middle school students can see,

and then SOGI's fine. That was just a particularly bad symptom of SOGI. The entire thing is bad and

needs to be cut out, but now because Eleanor Sturko is the person who oversees all social policy

retreated and is saying that there's just inappropriate books in schools that we need to get rid of,

is that the leadership of the party, the small coterie of woke MLAs who run the party and the

executive, have turned it into effectively a semi-dictatorship. The annual general meeting

of the party that took place on March 1st of this year was a clown show. They started taking away

credentials, delegate credentials from people who tried to apply. They revoked people's memberships.

They told people they weren't allowed to come. And then on the day of the AGM, after telling a bunch

of grassroots people who worked hard for the party and has been loyalists for the party from well

before John Rustad ever showed up, they told them not to show up. But on the day of the AGM,

they had 100 plus South Asian guys show up who clearly were not big party supporters. They were not

there to interact with anyone. They showed up late in the morning and they left pretty much after the

voting for the board election and the constitution, didn't interact with anyone but each other. They

showed up, voted for who John wanted them to vote for, and then left. That's something that has

happened. And that's all another reason why 1BC exists. And the people on the 1BC team, including

the MLAs and independent MLA, Jordan Keeley, have been pushing to expose what happened at the AGM

because grassroots membership, the grassroots of the BC conservatives, should be made aware of the fact

that they were cheated and their party leader doesn't care about their opinions. And if they

don't want to do exactly what he wants to do, he'll kick a bunch of them out, bus in a bunch of fake

delegates and pass whatever board he wants and make whatever changes to his constitution that he wants.

This has culminated in Mr. Rustad accusing us of blackmail. Yes, we are blackmailing them by asking

them to stop raking internal party elections. It says, John Rustad accuses former BC conservative

MLAs of blackmail. In a letter, Rustad tells conservative caucus their former colleagues and

staff are threatening to release blackmail material, including secret phone recordings and text messages.

To say this is a lie would put it mildly. John Rustad is writing a very fine line between crazy

accusations that make him seem like old Uncle Joe Biden not knowing what he's talking about and also

saying something criminal because you cannot accuse somebody of committing a crime that they did not

And the day after this letter leaked, which the letter was only circulated through caucus
