00:00:43.660 only wins two out of the three upcoming by-elections, he will need Michael Ma's vote for a majority.

00:02:17.960 taken off of the marquee a little bit later. But apparently his name was just taken off temporarily

00:02:23.660 and now Michael Ma is still going to be at the fundraiser alongside Mark Carney. So we'll quickly

00:02:30.220 read a little bit of this Globe and Mail article reporting on it and then I want to jump to

00:02:35.020 this truly abysmal press conference that Carney gave trying to justify Ma's presence and then

00:02:41.800 being unwilling himself to say there's forced labor in China which is doubling and tripling

00:02:47.240 down on the thing that Michael Ma already did wrong that got him into trouble in the first place.

00:03:38.320 Conservative caucus to join the Liberals, although that was actually Christmas. I don't know why they

00:03:42.200 got that wrong. The other fundraiser co-hosts are Minister of Energy and Natural Resources,

00:03:48.320 Tim Hodgson, and Public Safety Minister, Gary Amasangri. Mr. Ma sparked a backlash last Thursday

00:03:54.820 after he challenged the assistance of forced labor in China during a meeting of the Commons

00:03:59.540 Industry Committee, which is examining Mr. Carney's deal to allow 49,000 Chinese-made

00:04:05.480 electric vehicles into Canada at a low tariff rate. You guys probably don't need to see the

00:04:11.800 clip again of Michael Ma questioning the witness. It has been a few days though, so I actually do

00:04:16.440 think it might be good for some people to see what happened in case you are not yet acquainted with

00:04:21.580 just how bad this clip was. So I'm going to be bringing that up in just a second here. I said

00:11:51.740 cheap goods is in part because many parts of the process of creating those goods used forced labor

00:11:57.700 that have basically little to no actual pay attached to it so it's effectively a borderline

00:12:04.260 free labor that the Chinese government is using to manufacture a lot of these things but Carney

00:12:08.940 was trying to weasel out of it back in 2021 about Brookfield about saying like oh well if we find

00:12:13.760 out that any of our stuff is going through forced labor then we'll stop it's like okay well that's

00:12:20.040 a non-commitment it's very obvious that you are not going to actually look into it you're going

00:12:24.860 you stay politically ignorant whether or not people are being like chained to their desks

00:13:56.420 people dying equals a genocide. What's going on in Xinjiang is genuinely like marrying Uyghur 1.00
