The National Telegraph - Wyatt Claypool - Jagmeet Singh is sending the NDP into a tailspin (Only 12% Support)

00:00:00.160 Hey guys, Wyatt Claypool here. I've been pretty clear that I don't see the current rise in the

00:00:06.640 polls for the Liberal Party as being something they're going to be able to hold on to in the

00:00:10.600 long run. The news cycle just doesn't really support it. There's nothing really going on

00:00:15.320 society that would suggest that people are going to rush back to voting for the Liberals. But the

00:00:21.380 one thing that's really funny about the current increase in the Liberals polling is how much

00:00:26.920 it's demonstrating the weakness of the NDP under Jagmeet Singh. This is the last poll that just

00:00:33.700 came out from Palace. And again, I don't actually think the Liberal Party can hold up at a 34%.

00:00:39.880 This poll, when you actually look at the regionals, was pretty wonky, with some regions looking pretty

00:00:45.880 accurate to what they had been previously showing in other polls. But then like BC voting very

00:00:51.080 like liberal or Manitoba voting very liberal. That's where I'm not quite sure that this is going to

00:00:56.180 really hold up or if it's quite accurate right now. Even then, the Conservatives are still above 40%.

00:01:01.860 But anyways, the NDP here are at 12%. And I've seen Main Street polls, again, not sure about the

00:01:08.980 accuracy, but I think that the general direction is correct. That in Ontario federal polls, the NDP is

00:01:15.420 polling at 9%. That's scary considering the NDP in many places like Metro Toronto, like the GTA in Northern

00:01:29.820 Ontario Ridings and Southern Ontario Ridings, they have a lot of bright spots. Hamilton, they're able to

00:01:35.180 win seats. But like, based on some of the recent polling, they might be trying to hold on to maybe 10 of

00:01:41.900 their current federal seats. Some people's polling models, in fact, are showing the NDP with zero seats.

00:01:48.860 Sheree Attith's new model, based on the Palace poll, with 12% puts them at zero. Again, that's where I do

00:01:56.940 doubt the accuracy of Palace a little bit, because I don't think that you're going to be able to push the NDP

00:02:02.860 below 15% in this new election cycle. But the thing is, we've seen this in previous polling, the NDP's own base,

00:02:10.140 people who are saying that in 2025, they are certain to vote NDP. Half of the people who are

00:02:16.700 still voting NDP think Jagmeet is the wrong leader. But the only person who seems to not know this is

00:02:23.340 Jagmeet Singh himself. So I'm going to take you through some of the recent content that Jagmeet Singh

00:02:28.700 is putting on social media, because it demonstrates why nobody likes him, even in his own party. It

00:02:34.540 demonstrates why. Nobody takes them seriously, and their polling is mediocre at best. But before I get

00:02:41.260 into it, guys, look at this sign. Like the video, subscribe to the channel, do all that great stuff,

00:02:48.060 leave a comment. I'm trying to get to 100,000 subscribers by mid-December. So by sharing this

00:02:54.300 video, by subscribing, if you're not yet a subscriber, you really help me out. And you avoid me having to

00:03:00.300 buy all my friends dinner in mid-December if I'm only at 95,000. I actually only get dinner bought

00:03:07.100 for me as my reward, not even proportionately. Basically, I get like 70 bucks if I win, and they

00:03:14.300 get like $600 if I lose. It's mostly just to scare myself into trying to pick up the pace.

00:03:21.420 Anyways, but here is Jagmeet Singh's most recent post. And he, for some reason, thinks that he

00:03:27.500 is the tough guy who's going to stand up to Donald Trump. Jagmeet here says, this isn't about the

00:03:33.740 border for Donald Trump. It's about our water and the critical minerals that Elon Musk needs.

00:03:40.140 Okay, well, this is such a weird thing. Is he acting like Elon Musk is like, not supposed to

00:03:45.180 have these critical minerals? Not that we should like give him sovereignty, but we should probably

00:03:49.260 trade some minerals to, you know, into the US so Tesla can make cars that would make us money. 1.00

00:03:53.820 But I digress. Jagmeet Singh finishes up here saying, Donald Trump has threatened to use economic

00:03:59.500 force to make us the 51st state. Canadians will never let that happen. No chance in hell.

00:04:06.780 And this supports my ongoing theory, not really a theory, I think it's just true, that the left in

00:04:12.860 Canada is easily the bigger repository of conspiracy theories. There are so many people who I know are,

00:04:20.860 who are moderate center leftists, or they're center right, who are just like, can't get over

00:04:27.500 the fact that Jagmeet Singh has convinced himself that Trump truly just wants to make Canada the 51st

00:04:33.820 state. By the way, he doesn't. Do you think he really wants, and Canada would probably end up being

00:04:39.500 multiple states. Do you think he wants a bunch of Democratic senators added to the Senate right now? 0.69

00:04:45.340 No. Do you think he has the political bandwidth to do this? No. And by the way, what was it that

00:04:52.060 Trudeau agreed to that basically postponed the trade war for 30 days, and it's probably not even

00:04:56.780 going to happen now? They just want us in the next 30 days to put some more security on the border?

00:05:01.820 It was border security. It was national defense spending. It had nothing to do with critical

00:05:05.980 minerals. Trump mentioned critical minerals one time, and somehow Jagmeet has turned this into like

00:05:11.340 a spy movie plot that Trump is going to try and undermine our government, then send in the military

00:05:16.540 to take us over. And only he can board the train in time to like, you know, set us up the bomb,

00:05:23.660 blow up whatever, like, you know, secret device Trump's going to use to bring down our networks,

00:05:28.380 and he can save the day. But here's Jagmeet talking.

00:05:31.740 What Trump though is really about, and it is very clear, he is about making Canada the 51st state.

00:05:37.820 That is what he is about. He has made that very clear. We don't need to guess

00:05:42.060 about what his intentions are. He's repeated it. He wants to use economic pressure on Canada

00:05:48.380 to put us in a weak position. He has been very clear. That is what he wants to do. So we need to

00:05:53.420 fight back. He couldn't keep saying, like, he's very clear. He is very clear. And then he keeps repeating

00:06:00.220 something that like Trump vaguely alluded to one time in like a truth social post.

00:06:07.740 I don't think Elon Musk and Donald Trump are trying to take over the country so they can get some

00:06:13.740 rare earth minerals. And by the way, why is it that we don't actually open up more minds?

00:06:19.580 Why is it that we don't protect our own sovereignty by being as big as we can? Is Jagmeet Singh out there

00:06:25.980 advocating that we actually fund the military? No. In fact, the NDP has a socialist caucus

00:06:32.700 made up of about four to six of their NDP MPs, which advocates for defunding the military.

00:06:39.900 Yes, Jagmeet Singh with literal like Benedict Arnold's in his caucus are going to be the ones protecting us

00:06:48.780 from the Americans by having people who actually just want to, like, defund our only way of protecting

00:06:55.580 ourselves. But here is now Jagmeet Singh talking about Elon Musk, a man who has very little to do

00:07:02.620 with Canadian politics. Elon Musk is at it again. He's been sending hundreds of millions of dollars

00:07:10.620 to right wing conservative candidates across the world. He's also been accused of manipulating

00:07:17.020 the algorithm on X to favor right wing conservative candidates. He's been accused of this or it's

00:07:23.660 been proven because back when Jack Dorsey was the head of Twitter, they could actually prove it

00:07:29.900 by basically showing similar accounts or one account like plunging down to the floor in terms

00:07:35.660 of its its reach and engagement. I don't notice that really on X. I actually noticed tons of very

00:07:41.180 popular left wing accounts. They're oftentimes being clowned on because they're ridiculous. 0.95

00:07:46.460 Well, I have not noticed like a lack of left wing accounts and a lack of reach. 0.60

00:07:51.420 This isn't like being shadow banned in 2020 where you post something and literally nobody sees it.

00:07:57.500 But he's just having to spread anti-Musk, anti-Trump conspiracies in order to justify why you should

00:08:03.500 vote for him because he's going to do something. Is he going to make life more affordable? Is he going to

00:08:09.580 fund the police better in the military? Is he going to secure the border, crack down on crime, do anything?

00:08:15.420 Nah, but he's going to be really mad at Elon Musk on Twitter. So that's why you should make this

00:08:20.380 man prime minister.

00:08:22.380 He's recently endorsed Pierre Polyev, who's accepted that endorsement. So we're worried

00:08:27.820 about the real threat of election interference in our country.

00:08:31.740 Sign our petition to push for an investigation of Elon Musk, X and interference in our democracy.

00:08:39.100 Don't worry, Jagmeet. I'm going to give you my data. I'm going to give you my personal data

00:08:43.500 so you can whine and cry at me through your emails. I also get NDP emails. I signed up for their email

00:08:51.100 list. They're just bad. I don't even know how to say it other than they just suck at sending emails. 0.78

00:08:59.100 Here's another thing. Oh, the conservatives are going to cut stuff. Every video is less substantial 0.96

00:09:04.860 than the last. Jagmeet Singh is just a fake tough guy, a fake political tough guy. Every time,

00:09:13.100 everything is striking a pose with him with no substance behind it. This is actually the

00:09:17.900 big strength that Pierre Polyev has. Pierre Polyev is great, long form. Sit him down for a two-hour

00:09:25.100 podcast. He performs great. Jagmeet can't go through 30 seconds without repeating himself.

00:09:32.140 It's pathetic. Right now in this city, in Montreal, there are already workers who have lost their jobs 0.90

00:09:39.900 because of the threat of Donald Trump's tariffs. We have to put in place better protection. I'm sorry

00:09:45.100 about which ones? Are you talking about businesses moving to the US because they have lower taxes?

00:09:49.660 That's not because of threats. Nobody was shutting down in like a two-month period of time,

00:09:55.260 shutting down businesses to then go to the US, unless they were already planning on doing it

00:10:00.140 anyways. But again, another conspiracy that a bunch of people have been basically threatened by Trump

00:10:05.500 into moving their businesses. No, the economy that you are a part of and that you have contributed to

00:10:13.500 this. Sucks. 0.99

00:10:14.780 ...for these workers. These workers should not be left on their own. They should know that there's 0.99

00:10:19.980 a government there for them. At a time when people are worried about job losses, people are losing their

00:10:23.740 jobs, I'm surprised that Mark Carney has also added his voice to cutting jobs. I'm not surprised that

00:10:29.980 Pierre Polyev and the Conservatives want to cut jobs. That's what they do. At this difficult time, we need

00:10:35.580 policies to protect workers, not CEOs, not billionaires, not big corporations, but we need clear plans and

00:10:41.980 clear strategies and policies that put workers first. And with new Democrats, that is what we will always do.

00:10:48.380 It's, and again, his grasp on economics is so bad. Sorry, what are you going, what are the workers going

00:10:53.660 to be working for without capital, without people paying for those jobs to be, to exist, without paying

00:11:01.180 for the raw materials to make products or the stuff they need for services? What are we going to do?

00:11:07.580 But I'd like Jagmeet to condemn the CUPE because, or not the public employees, but like

00:11:16.300 PSAC or whatever, the private sector union who, again, they don't represent their members because

00:11:23.900 so many of these private sector unions have been taken over from a top level of just left-wing

00:11:29.980 progressive activists who have never picked up a hammer, they've never done a hard job in their lives,

00:11:34.780 or if they did, they benefited greatly from the seniority system that you've been sitting around

00:11:39.900 here filling the room with farts for 12 years. So I guess you're better than the guy who's only

00:11:45.260 been here for eight years, but is like four times as productive. That's what happens with private sector

00:11:50.700 unions. And that's why they put out memorandums like they just did. I don't have to bring it up on

00:11:55.420 screen. I read it this morning though. They brought up, they proposed to stop more businesses from going down

00:12:03.260 to the United States because the United States doesn't kick their business owners in the face,

00:12:08.140 which also means they don't end up kicking their own workers in the face by proxy of shutting down

00:12:12.700 businesses and depriving them of a job. By the way, an aside here, there's no such thing as a minimum wage.

00:12:19.420 The minimum wage is always $0. Every time they keep trying to increase benefits and wages for workers,

00:12:25.820 what they really do is they say every 10th employee can now go without a job and without pay.

00:12:31.420 But anyways, I digress. But this public sector union coalition came out and said that we should

00:12:37.580 start nationalizing businesses that want to move to the US. Okay, communism, you want communism,

00:12:44.780 or I guess it would be technically also trade unionism, which is what they tried in Italy in the 1920s and

00:12:51.740 1930s, where unions and the government would just take over and operate any business that the owner

00:12:58.780 basically wouldn't follow orders from. So basically, the government owns every business because if you

00:13:04.060 stop doing exactly what the business wants, well, some union black shirt is going to end up taking

00:13:09.660 over the business and running it probably less well than you did to prevent you from doing a sensible

00:13:15.180 thing with your capital that you put forward, that you generated, that you took the risk on, all that stuff.

00:13:21.900 You know, annoying. Anyways, is there anything else that Jagmeet Singh has done? We can keep kind of going.

00:13:29.100 Oh my goodness. He's doing all the buy Canadian, don't buy American type stuff. And I just find it very...

00:13:37.900 He's doing his pledge petition still. It's so tiring.

00:13:42.620 Friends, if you are worried, and you are saying, what can I do to fight back against Trump's tariffs?

00:13:48.700 You're worried about it. You're fed up about it. Here's what you can do. I'm here with Craig Zovey.

00:13:53.020 We're in Montreal.

00:13:53.740 Oh yeah, the guy who literally puts the Palestinian flag on all of his literature instead of the

00:13:59.500 Canadian flag. Not even the Quebec flag, which I would get. No.

00:14:03.340 You can buy Canadian and boycott American. Come with me. Let me show you how you do that. 0.87

00:14:17.500 Yeah. You go to a very small grocer who probably has very high prices, but Jagmeet doesn't care

00:14:23.980 about that. He just cares about hating Loblaws, but not Metro, because his brother's a lobbyist

00:14:28.940 for Metro. You see, profit margins are only bad if you're a big business. If you're a small business

00:14:35.900 who's selling a tomato for like twice the price of Loblaws, that's okay. And by the way, I don't

00:14:41.100 care what they sell it for, but Jagmeet does. But he's a completely hypocrite when it comes to what 0.99

00:14:45.500 he actually cares about and what he doesn't care about. 0.99

00:14:47.580 Do you pick up a product right here? Boom. Let's pick up this chocolate. Chocolate Boreal. Boy,

00:14:54.300 I dropped another one. I have to buy that too. Chocolate Boreal made in Canada, made in Quebec.

00:14:59.180 That's good. Buy that. Uh, what else we got here? We got, uh, maple syrup made in Canada. Got the

00:15:07.100 Canadian flag. Check the label. Buy that. Who's even selling Vermont-based maple syrup into Canada

00:15:13.980 anyways? Like Canada has such a big maple syrup industry. I don't think you'd ever end up buying

00:15:18.780 any from the U.S. anyways. Like, I guess they make a little bit Montana, but it's pretty sparse.

00:15:23.660 Buy Canadian, boycott American, and you can also sign the pledge 0.94

00:15:28.460 that you are committing to do that. You're committing to support Canadian.

00:15:31.740 You're committing to boycott American. That's how you fight back. Let's show Trump

00:15:35.820 that he messed with the wrong country. The guy behind him should have just started

00:15:39.900 screaming about boycotting Israel too, because he's a BDS candidate.

00:15:45.820 Who could guess why Jagmeet's not doing very well? Everything about him is just so sanctimonious

00:15:51.420 and like belabored and sluggish. The guy doesn't know what I'm going to say it. I'm going to say a

00:15:58.060 very Zoomer-ish thing. The man has no swag. The man has no riz. The man is boring. He's been

00:16:05.340 saying the same thing since he became leader in 2019, or actually 2018 or whatever. Imagine having

00:16:12.620 such low self-esteem as the NDP that you're letting this guy take a third kick at the can

00:16:18.220 when they kicked out Thomas Mulcair after failing once. Thomas Mulcair doesn't even fail. He just

00:16:24.940 doesn't live up to what Jack Layton was. Still wins like 45 seats. But no, no, no. Give that over to

00:16:31.420 Jagmeet and let him kill the party in three elections. Just let him do it. I'm fine with it. I don't want 0.93

00:16:38.060 the NDP to exist, but whatever. But like, I'm still wondering how this serves the membership of

00:16:43.660 the NDP to have this guy just staring into his phone, uploading videos to TikTok, dancing about

00:16:51.980 how he doesn't like Donald Trump and that, you know, because he's getting real jiggy with it and

00:16:56.220 saying to buy Canadian, you're going to make him the prime minister. You could make any student

00:17:00.620 activist a prime minister at that point. Anyways, that's it for me today, guys. Remember to like this

00:17:06.140 video, subscribe to the channel, leave a comment, and I will see you guys next time.
