A question from a member of the BC Teachers Federation about the new curriculum proposed by the province's new left wing government is a perfect example of why the BCTF should never be allowed to teach anything they want to teach in public schools.
00:04:57.260If anything, a parent watching this would be just highly insulted that the education minister cannot actually come up with a proper answer on this.
00:05:06.580Because she could have called it, like, oh, that's just a BC Teachers Federation thing.
00:05:16.080She can't say it because she supports the BC Teachers Federation.
00:05:19.960No matter how nutty the BC Teachers Federation gets, they will always agree with them.
00:05:24.260It's like in Alberta, with the Alberta Teachers Association, the NDP and them are effectively the same group.
00:05:30.760The ATA is an NDP front group just as much as the NDP is an ATA front group.
00:05:35.780And we're going to continue to stand up for that diversity here in BC, because that's what makes us special.
00:05:42.360We are going to support children who are the most vulnerable in our schools, who are the most likely to self-harm, to commit suicide, to do damage.
00:05:53.180We are going to stand up for those kids.
00:05:54.840We are going to tell those kids we love them, we see them, and we support them.
00:05:58.320And I'm so disappointed that this member continues to use their position of privilege to bring these children down.
00:06:07.220Like legitimately, who did she bring down?
00:06:10.180She's saying, hey, let's teach, like the subtext here.
00:06:13.040How about we just go back to normal academics, reading and writing and arithmetic?
00:06:16.860How about we stop having the BC Teachers Federation proposing these insane pieces of like curriculum ideas to their teacher members, like queering the outdoors?
00:06:29.440What queer kindergartener is Tara Armstrong going after by saying that, hey, maybe we should not teach insane leftist pablum in the classroom, especially to the youngest and most impressionable students?
00:06:43.720But now I got to go to the follow-up, because I thought that Tara Armstrong landed a haymaker on the premier here.
00:06:50.260Of course, he never got up to answer what she said, what she says here.
00:06:54.420Or it's basically, it's just the minister ends up taking this question again.
00:06:59.160But I do like this line that she ends up deploying here.
00:07:02.660So this is Tara Armstrong, the 1BC house leader's follow-up.
00:07:06.740And by the way, guys, if you are in British Columbia, I'm flying back to Victoria, like on tomorrow, Sunday, to continue the last week of session with 1BC.
00:07:16.100If you like 1BC, check out the website.
00:07:18.420I will link it in the description below.
00:07:20.140I will have it pinned at the top of the comments.
00:07:56.460The NDP is indoctrinating your kids, too.
00:08:00.000Their own curriculum guidance instructs that students should, quote, challenge and de-center colonial structures, knowledge systems, and hierarchies.
00:08:10.140Our province was a British colony, Mr. Speaker.
00:08:14.700This legislature, a colonial structure, and the premier is at the top of its hierarchy.
00:08:22.260Mr. Speaker, my challenge is for the premier himself.
00:08:25.520Will he take his own minister's advice, de-center himself, and vacate this oppressive colonial structure?
00:08:33.440Very creative way to tell him to go resign and pack sand.
00:12:12.200National Indigenous Peoples Day is the 22nd, although we somehow, for some reason, also need Land Back Day, even though we already had the Indigenous Peoples Day.
00:12:19.080On the 27th, it's Canadian Multiculturalism Day, because you can only celebrate Canada if you are also celebrating the idea that Canada's just this idea that there's a lot of different types of people here, and that's it.
00:12:32.000There's no actual through line of what a Canadian value is or anything like that.
00:12:36.700Like, on August, we have International Assistance Dog Day.
00:12:40.7209th on August, International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.
00:12:45.360Well, didn't we have National Indigenous Peoples Day?
00:12:47.520Oh, but we know we're celebrating the world's Indigenous Peoples on the 9th of August, unlike the 22nd of June, where we need to do the National Indigenous Peoples Day.
00:13:35.220Can we just, you know, live our lives?
00:13:38.600Oh, but, you know, we can't because we have to live with the BC NDP being a thing.
00:13:43.320Anyways, so, with that being said, thank you guys for watching.
00:13:47.340If you're in British Columbia, consider joining the 1BC party, because unlike the Conservatives, we actually ask good questions and hold the NDP government accountable.
00:13:56.660And with all that being said, thank you guys.
00:14:02.620I'm not sure if I mentioned this at the start of the video, because sometimes I have to re-record them to get them right.
00:14:06.300I am so hoarse from talking to people yesterday.
00:14:08.700I like talking to people, but, like, people, like, crank up loud music in the room that you're in, and then you have to, like, yell, talk, and it's horrible, and, like, my throat's, like, been shredded and whatnot.
00:14:18.800But we're gonna pull through, guys, because we will overcome, or, or, I don't know, or I'll, like, die on the floor later today.
00:14:27.860But at least you'll know I went into it assuming that I was gonna make it.
00:14:31.900Anyways, so, like, share, subscribe, do all that fantastic stuff.
00:14:35.180Check out 1BC, and I'll see you guys all later.
