00:00:00.000 I'll admit that I haven't been paying as much public attention to the New Brunswick provincial election going on,
00:00:07.120 but this story really caught my eye.
00:00:10.000 And it's technically something that's been happening over a few months period,
00:00:13.560 but it finally kind of broke out into the public and became a major issue in some of the ridings in New Brunswick.
00:00:21.460 But the Liberal Party leader, Susan Holt, did the thing that you should never do. 0.98
00:00:27.800 Don't call your own voters stupid, because previously she was the MLA for Bathurst, 0.98
00:00:34.240 and she recently moved over to a riding in Fredericton and started pontificating about how her new constituents 1.00
00:00:42.180 are so much more intelligent than the idiots that she used to represent. 0.99
00:00:47.200 And not only this, what she's saying isn't even true. 1.00
00:00:50.200 It's just a liberal bias toward degreed people,
00:00:53.880 even though there are probably far more people who own their own businesses and work in the trades
00:00:58.940 and are a former riding, then neither one is superior.
00:01:01.980 There are people who have, obviously, engineering degrees who are far smarter than me.
00:01:06.700 And then there are people who have sociology degrees who I would never listen to for a second.
00:01:11.000 But here we have New Brunswick Liberal leader Susan Holt saying this on a podcast for some reason.
00:01:17.780 I mean, I'm an urban Fredericton. It's, you know, really progressive people here, highly educated.
00:01:23.820 My riding in Bathurst, she's an Episcopal Saint-Isidore, has totally different makeup.
00:01:27.720 And this was clipped by the New Brunswick Progressive Conservative Party.
00:01:32.800 But good thing they did. 1.00
00:01:34.180 She has quite a history of really stupid comments. 1.00
00:01:38.780 At one point, she said that the concept of parental rights was BS. 1.00
00:01:43.820 And she's actually committed to getting rid of the changes that Premier Blaine Higgs has made to Policy 713,
00:01:50.680 which was allowing parents to actually know what was going on in the classroom
00:01:54.440 and cutting away nonsensical gender theory teachings.
00:01:59.040 Higgs even banned, like, flat out just perverted sex ed groups from being able to teach in New Brunswick schools,
00:02:05.760 which I think, in my mind, makes him, like, the best Premier in the country.
00:02:09.240 That guy sees, like, a hard left organization operating in schools in inappropriate ways.
00:02:15.480 He just, like, throws down the band hammer right away.
00:02:18.820 She wants to bring them back.
00:02:20.540 This is, like, groups who are just teaching, like, flat out borderline pornographic things in schools.
00:02:26.940 And it's not sex ed like anyone remembers it.
00:02:31.040 It's just sexual education. 1.00
00:02:33.200 And the thing is that if you live in New Brunswick, I know that there's going to be a lot of people out there saying,
00:02:39.520 well, you know, Higgs cut this or Higgs cut that,
00:02:42.120 or he hasn't been giving as much to the schools or to the hospitals as previous governments did.
00:02:48.100 Blaine Higgs, for any of you who live out in New Brunswick,
00:02:51.260 he is quite possibly the best Premier in the country who has been Premier for the last 10 years.
00:02:56.940 Blaine Higgs is a great Premier.
00:02:59.100 Like, please appreciate him more if you don't already.
00:03:02.000 He has gotten a maritime province to balance his budget and has had surpluses for three years straight.
00:03:09.720 That's unheard of east of Manitoba for a province to actually have surpluses.
00:03:15.020 They're going to be able to cut taxes for the first time in decades in a maritime province.
00:03:20.100 That's brilliant.
00:03:21.340 The man doesn't have to be doing this.
00:03:22.840 He's in his 70s.
00:03:23.680 He could go off and do anything else.
00:03:26.140 And he's still, like, he's still standing strong in politics.
00:03:29.260 And you're going to give, like, the government over to this lady? 1.00
00:03:33.060 This lady who doesn't have a clue what she's doing and thinks that because people in Bathurst tend to have trades skills rather than sociology degrees, 1.00
00:03:42.480 that they're non-progressive and not intelligent.
00:03:45.100 And she's tried to characterize this.
00:03:47.460 I read a CBC article where she's saying, oh, I wasn't saying that they're not as good.
00:03:51.440 I was just saying that the people of Fredericton are very, like, you know, educationally focused.
00:03:57.640 Like, you can't save it, lady. 1.00
00:03:59.500 You said something horrible about people.
00:04:01.760 People know what you mean. 0.98
00:04:02.740 It's the same liberal condescension that they hear from those who are not running or in actual elections who think that anywhere that isn't an urban progressive center is just trash.
00:04:15.860 And I guarantee you, people in Bathurst are probably far more intelligent than Susan Holt is because they can probably actually, you know, pick somebody's plumbing or do somebody's electrical in their house.
00:04:27.560 What does she have?
00:04:28.420 What's her skills? 0.99
00:04:29.440 Nothing.
00:04:29.700 And she's going to try and say that other people are more intelligent than somebody else.
00:04:34.040 I don't think she has a solid baseline in her own life to understand what intelligence actually looks like.
00:04:39.860 I'll play a little bit more of this PC clip right here.
00:04:43.200 I think they did a good job. 0.98
00:04:45.880 I said a second ago that that really rings true is that parental rights is bullshit. 0.99
00:04:51.940 Parents have responsibility. 0.99
00:04:53.760 Children have rights. 1.00
00:04:54.620 And that seems to get lost in that whole ridiculous conversation, ignorant conversation, because it's ignorant. 0.99
00:05:04.440 Do you know what I'll say, thankfully? 0.98
00:05:06.280 Because I have a number of members of my caucus who represent different.
00:05:10.080 I mean, I'm in urban Fredericton.
00:05:12.120 It's, you know, really aggressive people here.
00:05:15.120 Oh, yeah.
00:05:15.820 Highly educated.
00:05:16.720 You know, it's it's and my writing of Bathurst, Jesus, and Isidore is totally different makeup.
00:05:22.360 I mean, I'm in urban Fredericton.
00:05:24.280 It's a, you know, really aggressive people here.
00:05:27.240 Highly educated.
00:05:28.360 You know, my writing of Bathurst, Jesus, and Isidore.
00:05:30.180 Oh, that's kind of so wild that she even said that in response to somebody talking about parental rights, basically saying, yeah, those.
00:05:38.380 And the funny thing is, people in Bathurst usually vote liberal. 1.00
00:05:40.920 And so she's saying, you know, idiots keep voting for me. 0.99
00:05:43.700 But, you know, I'm not with you when it comes to being in favor of parental rights. 1.00
00:05:47.360 That's BS because she's nodding along with this, like, dorm room joker talking about how, you know, parental rights is BS.
00:05:54.240 And parents are, you know, only children have rights and parents have responsibilities.
00:05:59.400 That's really weird.
00:06:00.900 That sounds like you think that parents are like wards of the state who have the privilege to maybe raise their kids until they do something that the government doesn't like.
00:06:10.120 And then the government gets to take over.
00:06:12.680 And obviously, whenever this gets brought up, people are like, what if someone's abusing a child?
00:06:17.720 Obviously, call the cops. 0.52
00:06:19.020 No, no, that's never entered the conversation. 1.00
00:06:20.700 It's such a stupid, fringe example to pretend that parental rights don't exist. 1.00
00:06:25.460 They absolutely do. 1.00
00:06:27.420 And the liberal sort of mentality that children are like the communities is a dangerous idea.
00:06:34.580 And it's a dangerous idea from people who, frankly, didn't have their own kids, but now want to have a hand in raising the next generation, even though they haven't actually put any skin into the game themselves.
00:06:46.160 Anyways, that's it for me today, guys.
00:06:48.680 If you live in New Brunswick, I believe that early voting has started.
00:06:52.780 Please vote for the PC party.
00:06:54.640 Don't vote for the People's Alliance.
00:06:56.600 I really liked the People's Alliance back when Chris Austin was running it.
00:07:00.360 But right now, the PC party is fulfilling everything the People's Alliance would have usually wanted them to do.
00:07:06.660 So there's no point in voting for them.
00:07:08.480 Vote for the PCs.
00:07:09.620 Blaine Higgs is doing a great job.
00:07:11.500 It's not time to start naysaying little things you don't like about the government.
00:07:15.680 When Susan Holt become your premier and make sure that even after Justin Trudeau has gone federally, that you have another Justin Trudeau still leading your province and messing up everything that your poly of wants to do for you guys.
00:07:29.600 Because she wants to, if, you know, poly of lowers taxes, she'll raise provincial taxes. 0.99
00:07:33.960 If he tries to reduce the overall sales tax, she'll just raise the HST. 0.99
00:07:39.100 She'll just raise the provincial sales tax. 1.00
00:07:43.720 Don't go for Holt.
00:07:45.380 Please go for Higgs.
00:07:46.680 I couldn't stand seeing this lady mess up all the good work that Blaine Higgs has been doing. 1.00
00:07:52.440 See you guys later.
