00:00:14.140Well, how a lot of people are mad at U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra for doing his job.
00:00:20.040He says things that people don't like sometimes, and apparently this means he should be expelled from the country.
00:00:26.460The CBC, of course, did an entire panel about this. And actually, they have now done two news segments about it. Very thin coverage, very, you know, deflective coverage of all the things that Carney's screwing up on right now with the trade issues, you know, going to Italy in the middle of them and not even engaging with them personally himself.
00:00:47.980You know, all that could probably be talked about.
00:00:50.220But no, let's talk about how Pete Hoegstra says the sorts of things that Trump wants him to say
00:00:55.280and how that should get him thrown out of Canada.
00:00:58.940And this whole thing is played straight.
00:01:00.720Before we get into the actual video from CBC, I just want to cover the actual details of this.
00:01:06.420So this is a petition from Green Party leader and only MP Elizabeth May.
00:01:12.420It currently has an impressive 128,000 signatures, but obviously it's just a stupid petition that gets a lot of elbows up leftists to sign it just to say, I'm sticking it to Donald Trump and his goon in Canada, Pete Hoekstra.
00:01:28.800No doubt this will then get him thrown out of the country.
00:01:32.160And it says things like, whereas U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra has repeatedly made public statements undermining the Canada-U.S. diplomatic relations, including characterizing the 2025 Canadian federal election as anti-American.
00:01:48.460And it goes on to say, Ambassador Hoekstra has normalized the Trump administration's threats to annex Canada as the 51st state, describing such rhetoric as term of endearment.
00:01:58.800Yeah, it's a joke. Ambassador Hoekstra has accused Canada of interviewing U.S. domestic politics while himself making repeated interventions in Canadian political discourse inconsistent with diplomatic protocol.
00:02:12.580Ambassador Hoekstra has been linked to Michigan-based voter identification app used by the Alberta Separatist Centurion Project while claiming no knowledge of its use.
00:02:21.060And the Alberta Prosperity Project met with U.S. State Department officials three times between April 2025 and January 2026 with hoaxed or claiming no knowledge of those meetings, raising serious questions about U.S. diplomatic interference, Canadian unity.
00:02:35.360How does that raise questions? He has no knowledge of it. And his actual connections to that firm in Michigan that then the Centurion Project used, and they had leaked people's information because they had gotten like the Alberta voter list from the Alberta Republican Party. That's not has nothing to do with him. It wouldn't even have anything to do with the Michigan company. It's the Centurion Project who just fed the data into their system. And that was it.
00:03:01.360I don't understand what the actual problem here is. He says stuff that we sometimes don't like
00:03:05.960sometimes. Okay, he's kind of just saying the Trump line in Canada, and nothing that he's saying
00:03:12.080actually hurts, like, has been really what I would classify as interference. If you were to call
00:03:16.560interference, it's interference in favor of the political left in Canada, mostly the liberals,
00:03:22.620because his, you know, his proclamations oftentimes help give Mark Carney a good
00:03:28.920distraction in the media for whatever he is currently screwing up because oh my goodness
00:03:33.460that horrible evil man Pete Hoekstra the the worm tongue of Donald Trump in Canada he is the mouth
00:03:41.580of Sauron in Canada oh isn't he so terrible because he made a joke on a podcast it's like
00:03:46.680I don't care but the interesting part of this petition is that it shows the history here of
00:03:52.720it was started so it opened on july 21st 2026 and close for sit is closing for signatures on
00:03:59.840november 18th now i would assume if you were going to cover this thing you would cover it
00:04:05.440around july 21st to what petitions been launched uh to expel pete hoekstra from the country maybe
00:04:11.760wait a week maybe wait a week or two and then you start covering it because you know it's gotten
00:04:16.560some good momentum and when they covered it had 70 000 petition signatures and after just a few
00:04:22.160days of cbc coverage it has now 128 000 but it had a lot of signatures already in the first you know
00:04:28.72048 hours or so but isn't it isn't it interesting that we're now only talking about this once mark
00:04:35.520carney is in trouble just failing to properly negotiate with the trump administration just
00:04:40.480giving away stuff or nothing in return because it turns out his elbows up trade strategy doesn't
00:04:46.080make any sense it's a lot of tough talk with complete weakness behind it but now let's go
00:04:51.360go into the CBC segment because I feel like I have now I have now confirmed this is a deeply
00:04:56.080important issue that the CBC needs to be talking about now of all times not only now but now and
00:05:02.260ongoing there are multiple segments not only on the CBC but other news outlets on this and we're
00:05:08.760not actually talking about the details of the trade agreements anyways but before I get into
00:05:14.120the CBC segment just a quick reminder if you like the channel make sure to leave a like on the video
00:05:18.000subscribe if you're not yet a subscriber if you are already a subscriber make sure to hit the
00:05:22.760notification bell so you are notified whenever there is a new video coming out and of course
00:05:28.040leave a comment on what you think about all this nonsense so let's check out the cbc segment and
00:05:33.940how they're covering this and and my goodness it's 18 minutes they chose to talk about this for 18
00:05:39.060minutes on national television publicly subsidized national television thousands of canadians want
00:05:45.800america's ambassador to canada to be kicked out of the country a petition to the house of commons
00:05:51.240calls on the government to expel u.s ambassador pete hookstra it accuses hookstra of making
00:05:57.240statements that undermine the canada u.s relationship as of this hour the by that logic
00:06:03.240can we kick mark carney out of the country because he does that frequently you know he frequently
00:06:07.720takes shots at the americans that are just not helpful whatsoever you know all his stupid middle
00:06:12.920powers rhetoric out in Davos and talking about how our relationship has ended how is how are we
00:06:18.400now offended clutching our pearls that Pete Hoekstra has damaged the relationship when Mark
00:06:23.660Carney has announced that the relationship was over and you know whatever's happening now is the
00:06:28.700new version of it I feel like Pete Hoekstra is fitting in perfectly fine with Mark Carney's
00:06:33.680conception of the Canada-U.S. relationship. Petition has over 70,000 signatures that number has more
00:06:40.200than doubled in the last 24 hours. I'm joined now by the power panel. Cameron Ahmad was a head of
00:06:46.260communications to former. By the way, signatures doubled because it got mass media coverage,
00:06:51.780because this was not the first time even the CBC had written articles or talked about it.
00:06:55.800There has been an artificial push to sign it. And by the way, that's how petitions work.
00:07:00.140There are conservative petitions about specific policy issues, not even something like super hot
00:07:06.120and heavy like not like i'm gonna we're gonna kick that guy out of the country because he's a dirty
00:07:10.120man like we're just we're just like signing something about like a policy we don't like
00:07:14.280and those frequently hit on like things about guns like 250 000 300 000 signatures prime minister
00:07:22.200justin trudeau and here in our ottawa studio tim powers has worked as a strategist for conservative
00:07:27.240parties and cherelle evelyn is the managing editor of the hill times so what we have here a former
00:07:33.480Trudeau advisor Tim Powers who had lost all of his every conservative bone in his body over the past
00:07:40.020five to six years the man's just not conservative and then we have what is it like an editor from
00:07:45.540the Hilltimes a very lefty it's a very if anything a very orange liberal type publication you have
00:07:53.360like people like Erica Ifill who right there who I call black Hitler sometimes because she's just
00:07:58.920extremely racist and anti-semitic but because she's black she can get away with just saying
00:08:04.100horrifying things that you would assume would be coming out of the mouth of like jeremy mckenzie
00:08:07.780or something like that like it's nuts the sorts of things that she says so so we have here katie
00:08:13.380simpson the liberal host with a former trudeau advisor with a flip-flopping conservative who
00:08:18.780has now become just a full-on elbows up liberal sitting on the panel next to an editor of a liberal
00:08:23.160paper, balanced as all things should be, guys. I'm going to start with you, Cameron, because
00:08:28.900in your role, I know that you were working in the prime minister's office during Trump 1.0 and had
00:08:34.520to deal with the Trump administration plenty. What does something like this, what message does
00:08:40.560it send to the Trump administration? And at a time of, you know, trade talks, really intense
00:08:45.880trade talks, does this do anything to help? Well, it's the question is, what does it even
00:08:52.240make it to their radar i think that's questionable whether or not they'll notice they've got a lot
00:08:56.800of other things going on i will jump in and say one thing it was put to the um embassy here in
00:09:01.760ottawa and they're like we are aware of the uh petition and we are not offering comments
00:09:07.920she acted like there was some big gotcha they said that they were aware of it but they're not
00:09:12.080offering con it's like yeah because it's it's delusional leftists signing a petition saying
00:09:19.840that the ambassador should be expelled there's a lot of ambassadors i would expel just because i
00:09:24.640don't like the country but guess what that would be a stupid thing to do because it doesn't change
00:09:30.260anything what do you think the guy who'd replace pete hoagstra would be like some democrat who's
00:09:34.820like yeah actually actually we should be going elbows up against the americans i'm joining your
00:09:39.600team it's like what is yeah they're not gonna be they're not gonna join you on this one don't we
00:09:44.840have like pakistani ambassadors in canada are we okay with the fact that they're just islamist
00:09:50.960allies of terror groups all around the world no petitions against them because that would be rude
00:09:56.260that would be rude to hold pakistan to the standard of a western country in fact we actually
00:10:01.460have mps and senators who go over there and actually like pose in front of like pakistani
00:10:08.500terror banners and whatnot it's nuts but those people get to stay pete hoaxstrom make it made a
00:10:14.100joke she went on jasmine lane he went on jasmine lane's show and said something bad now he must
00:10:19.600die so i with that context cameron yes i think uh there's two questions here right one is do
00:10:28.200canadians have the right and are they entitled to express their frustration their anger um at the
00:10:34.000administration and specifically at the ambassador for the way that he embodies everything the the
00:10:38.280president says and what is the right move for the government how do they handle this and so
00:10:44.020So, of course, Canadians, this is our democratic right.
00:10:46.840This is how we express ourselves politically.
00:10:48.960One of the ways is through a petition or by demanding that the ambassador be PNG'd
00:10:55.280because he's saying things that are frankly offensive to millions of people here.
00:10:59.940But the way the government handles it is differently.
00:11:02.240And I think they have to, this is sort of the balance that they have to find,
00:11:05.660which they have so far, which is similar to what Prime Minister Trudeau had to do
00:11:10.760every single time that an offensive statement was hurled towards us or the president had an
00:11:16.180outburst, it was to recognize that Canadians feel a certain way, channel those feelings as much as
00:11:22.900possible, but still maintain that steady, strong leadership and recognize that we are in crunch
00:11:29.000time right now, that our negotiators and the prime minister himself are dealing with the most
00:11:33.800important thing on their plate, which is our trading relationship with the United States.
00:11:39.400And so that's the balance that they're that they're walking. And I think that they're maintaining quite well.
00:11:45.320Can I just say, like, I like I let that keep rolling because I was mesmerized about like the nothing that he was saying there, confirming that, yeah, we can't just kick out an ambassador.
00:11:55.660Yeah, the government, you know, the people are entitled to feel the way they will.
00:11:59.400And the government is going to try and, you know, reflect some of that frustration, all that.
00:12:03.500like you were an advisor to a prime minister like how heavily did you pad your resume or just
00:12:08.460outright lie what was it this guy couldn't advise you on how to put a sandwich together
00:12:13.320and he's here to like dissect what this petition in parliament means and it's like he could have
00:12:19.080just said it means nothing it means basically absolutely nothing that's why it's being put
00:12:24.200forward by elizabeth may because elizabeth may is all she does is tries to get her media attention
00:12:28.920for herself and fair enough that's kind of her job as the sole green party mp in parliament
00:12:34.440but like why is this worth 18 minutes of just blabbering tim well katie it's really your fault
00:12:43.660because we're apparently nasty canadians and i think they clearly got that from you and paul
00:12:48.380hunter and everybody who asked questions in the white house so thanks a lot um look
00:12:58.260This is interesting in a couple of ways.
00:13:00.280The petition, I believe, originated with Elizabeth May.
00:13:03.020Elizabeth May, of course, has some roots herself in the United States.
00:13:06.880Elizabeth May has always stood her ground on many different issues.
00:13:11.020And there will be a lot of Canadians that agree with her.
00:13:14.220It may help, you know, invigorate some of the energy in the Green Party at the moment.
00:13:18.240So there's some political utility to that.
00:13:20.200If anything, it probably reinforces Pete Hoekstra's value with President Trump, because I'm sure President Trump would prefer to have somebody representing him who has a tougher, more pointed edge that is reflective of his own right now.
00:13:39.780this is just non-analysis again we're watching this more to marvel at the fact that we're talking
00:13:45.720about this instead of literally anything else and apparently tim power just goes on forever here
00:13:51.380let's jump ahead when katie simpson feeds him a new question donald trump has i i want to ask you
00:13:56.880about that because the way that u.s president donald trump has talked about how nato allies
00:14:02.880have sort of not stood up in the way he thinks they should um in this moment where donald trump
00:14:08.900is saying all these different things about about you know how you know if we were ever attacked no
00:14:13.120one would ever come to our defense and the lack of sort of recognition of the way that Canada
00:14:18.100particularly in the moments after 9-11 what Canada and NATO allies did in the immediate aftermath and
00:14:24.040then the wars in the war on terror you know when you bring that up and you talk about you know
00:14:29.880this anniversary and sort of the sentiment expressed there are we bringing up to something
00:14:35.380that happened 25 years ago. Trump, this is the thing. I'm not trying to agree with Trump. It's
00:14:42.640just I'll agree with him when I agree with him. He is kind of right. A lot of NATO countries have
00:14:47.220become kind of so reliant on the United States. If the United States ever need assistance,
00:14:51.840they wouldn't know what to do because the NATO, so many NATO countries, including Canada's only
00:14:57.060play, seems to be calling the US on the phone and asking them for help. And then when the US
00:15:02.120wouldn't mind some assistance in dealing with the terror regime in iran we're all like we're all
00:15:07.000shoulders i don't know what to do i don't know what to do it's like well help it's a terror regime
00:15:13.480who's trying to build nuclear weapons and they're the ones holding up the strait of hormones any
00:15:18.680help here you don't have to be in favor of the iran war you can have your own opinion on that
00:15:22.920but the idea that we're going to be like well he's wrong about us being bad allies because did you
00:15:27.720you know, in 2001, we kind of helped out. And then we stopped helping out after Stephen Harpo
00:15:33.140was no longer the prime minister. It's like, what? Yeah. Yeah. It turns out conservatives,
00:15:39.020conservatives are good allies of the Americans. Liberals are not. And I'm not saying that our
00:15:43.600highest value is being good allies of the Americans, but they're trying to argue that
00:15:47.780it's a high value of us that we're good allies. And the only thing we can really point to is that
00:15:51.560under conservatives, we're actually fairly, fairly helpful. Do you think that you, do you
00:15:56.760expect the trump administration to sort of recognize sort of the contributions of others
00:16:00.820in that moment are you are you expecting that i would hope so but i have no okay this is a non
00:16:06.340question honestly like what is this let's go to the other lady from the hill time so we can wrap
00:16:10.680this up because i want to get to the next cbc segment because again it's so gratuitous how
00:16:14.780much they're covering this non-issue um cherelle on uh pete hookstreet you know what do you make
00:16:20.600of what this petition what message this petition sends and whether it's something that could
00:16:24.460end up hurting possibly Canadian negotiators when they're dealing with this?
00:16:29.720I don't know if it'll hurt. I did want to, something that Tim said, I just want to flag,
00:16:33.540you mentioned that the petition started with Elizabeth May. She's sponsoring it in the House
00:16:36.840of Commons, but it started with a citizen in Calgary. And so every petition needs an MP to
00:16:43.140table it. Oh my goodness. Stop. This is like pedantic stuff. Well, I just want to mention
00:16:49.280to tim that actually every petition is uh is actually put forward by a citizen and then an
00:16:54.100mp sponsors it yeah it's kind of the mp's petition still because they i guarantee you this idea gets
00:17:01.220thrown at pretty much every single mp and then she picks it up there's probably 10 15 like there's
00:17:07.060probably dozens of people kind of putting out and requesting people take petitions on the exact same
00:17:11.960issues it's a country of 40 million people you're gonna have a lot of people sending in the same
00:17:20.720I don't. So and what these petitions do is that ultimately when they do come into the House and
00:17:26.200they are tabled, the government has to respond. They have to respond in writing within, you know,
00:17:30.72045 days or so. So they will have to go on the record with this is our this is how we're
00:17:37.420handling this. Obviously, you know, the prime minister, the foreign minister, they've already
00:17:41.140kind of kiboshed this idea when it's been brought up in the past, because this is not
00:17:45.240the first time people are talking about Pete Hoekstra and his behavior and his diplomacy or
00:17:50.920lack thereof. And there have been these questions, you know, Demarche, P&G, yada, yada. And it's been
00:17:57.880a no. But what we are hearing now is that, you know, the negotiators who are in Washington,
00:18:04.180you know, Janice Charette, she's telling her counterpart, she's telling the people across
00:18:09.120the table that if things go ahead this week in terms of new tariffs, the people of Canada are
00:18:15.880restive. They are not going to be happy. They are looking to retaliate. And this is just another
00:18:19.920proof point of to say, hey, look, here is tangible evidence of that.
00:18:25.380By the way, the people of Canada don't actually matter in terms of the negotiations. I mean this
00:18:29.660in the sense that it's Carney and his government who are making the decisions, but it's so often
00:18:34.560that they're outsourcing everything so it wouldn't be us retaliating it's the canadian people
00:18:39.020retaliating and the evidence is we have this stupid petition from irrelevant mp elizabeth may
00:18:45.680that says that people don't like that pete hoagstra guy and by the way if you only have to respond in
00:18:50.94045 days that means that the government wouldn't even have to respond until january 2027 because
00:18:57.820the end date for signatures is put down on November 18th. And in fact, if they're not
00:19:04.940sitting that day or Elizabeth May doesn't have a moment to actually table the petition,
00:19:11.500then it takes another, from whatever day she tables it after the 18th, that's when the 45-day
00:19:16.940clock starts. So it's like January 2027. We're going to get a non-answer about how, yeah,
00:19:23.040You know, we hear people are upset, but, you know, U.S. ambassadors are are supposed to serve the U.S. president.
00:19:29.080And so we don't we're going to kick him out because, you know, unless he's actually interfering in something directly or trying to stop our sort of, you know, our institutional processes or whatever.
00:19:40.460We're not going to do anything about it. Like that's what we're obviously going to hear.
00:19:44.560But the CBC is like feeding liberals online all this copium about how no, actually, what would happen? What would happen? Would we fire him out of a cannon? Or what would we do? And like, it goes around the panel and everyone's like, nothing. It doesn't do anything. Could this help or hurt the negotiations? I don't think anyone even really cares. Yes, the US ambassador knows about it, because it's about him. And there's articles about it. But it's also not going anywhere. Like probably the best point was made by Tim Powers, which is not shocking that the guy with at least some
00:20:14.440conservative history that's mostly gone now at least identify that actually will probably make
00:20:18.740pete hoax from more popular as trump because he sees him as like taking slings and arrows like
00:20:23.520he is all the time but now let's move on to the next cbc segment uh where this lady gives an
00:20:29.260extremely overly intense kind of like introduction to the most irrelevant piece of news this week
00:20:34.700a growing online petition is calling on ottawa to oust trump's top representative in canada over
00:20:43.08070,000 Canadians say U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra is undermining Canada-U.S. relations
00:20:50.480and they want him out. Evan Dyer looks at the envoy's track record and why he's making some
00:20:57.520Canadians angry. I want to just acknowledge our great... It's such a worthless segment. Like,
00:21:06.240even the language they're using is making it seem as if he could be ousted. Many Canadians,
00:21:11.58070,000 Canadians are calling to oust the U.S. ambassador Pete Hoogstra and it's like
00:21:18.000you should just open up the segment a bunch of idiots think they signed a piece of paper
00:21:22.800that the Canadian government is going to kick out Trump's guy in Ottawa like you're delusional if
00:21:28.400you think that's actually going to happen ambassador is he doing a good job he's doing a good job but
00:21:33.960according to a petition on the parliamentary website many Canadians don't agree as of Monday
00:21:38.880afternoon tens of thousands calling for pete hoekstra to be kicked out whether it's retweeting
00:21:43.680trump's 51st state threats or inviting a convicted ottawa no no no no cbc try and be somewhat neutral
00:21:51.560it is a flipping joke if trump wanted to take over canada he could just do it like it's not
00:21:57.760hard for the u.s to beat the military of literally every any other country on the planet the only
00:22:03.140reason the iran war is getting bogged down is because the u.s also knows that americans don't
00:22:07.300want to see any american troops die and so they are hyper careful in how they move they're not
00:22:11.900willing to put boots on the ground over there and they're having to operate on like the other side
00:22:15.720of the planet and they're still bulldozing the iranian military every time every time they try
00:22:20.980and do something and we're gonna sit here saying like oh he's making threats to take over the
00:22:25.180country oh my goodness if he wanted to do it he'd just do it and that's not saying that like they
00:22:30.280would do it or i'm resigned to it if they did but my point is like what are we talking about here
00:22:35.480It's just feeding, just a rage bait content to liberals who are watching the CBC.
00:22:42.220Convoy organizer Tamara Leach under house arrest to his July 4th bash.
00:22:46.800I'm not going to try to analyze Canadians anymore, okay?
00:22:50.380If they want to be mad about the sectoral tariffs, which are totally legitimate.
00:22:57.060Hoekstra has drawn the ire of many in the country.
00:22:59.440I'm disappointed that I came to Canada, a Canada that it is very, very difficult to find Canadians who are passionate about the American-Canadian relationship.
00:23:11.520He does express frustration, exasperation, grievance with Canada that Canadians find bizarre because we didn't start this and we're not looking to push it. They are.
00:23:27.100Although the U.S. State Department has announced a new era of American dominance,
00:23:31.360in fact, about half of U.S. missions lack any ambassador,
00:23:34.820including countries like Brazil, Ukraine, and Saudi Arabia.
00:23:38.040It's quite painful for someone like myself who spent 38 years in the diplomatic corps.
00:23:44.980Some ambassadors have close ties to the U.S. president.
00:23:47.640His son-in-law, Jared Kushner's father, Charles, a convicted fraudster in France,
00:23:52.100and Kimberly Guilfoyle, ex-fiancee of Donald Trump Jr. in Greece.
00:23:55.520the message coming from the white house is a harsh one but this former diplomat says
00:23:59.520undiplomatic messengers can make it sound even harsher i'm not sure if it was will rogers who
00:24:04.580said i don't even know what the point of watching that at all was you can blame me for having played
00:24:09.540it like again mark carney is currently because if all these people are mad at pete hoogstrup
00:24:15.780shouldn't you be even more mad if you're an elbows up liberal that mark carney isn't living up to
00:24:21.080the elbows up brand at all that he's going to be making a trade deal here in the next little bit
00:24:26.360where we basically get almost nothing in return for major concessions and by the way i'm not
00:24:33.180trying to be the guy like i'm like hey i don't like the tariffs also it always seems a little
00:24:38.080hypocritical even though the these tariffs are worse than the ones we had we have had supply
00:24:43.720management tariffs on u.s dairy and poultry and eggs for a very long time so it kind of balances
00:24:49.920out that we've had more minor tariffs that completely locked several of their products
00:24:53.620out of Canada. And that's been going on for like 50 years straight at this point. And then they,
00:24:58.420for about a year and a half, have had tariffs on specific industries, specific products,
00:25:03.560aluminum, steel, autos, and softwood lumber that are highly significant. Yes, those do more damage.
00:25:09.280But how about now we figure out a way of going guns down on both sides so we can get back to
00:25:14.260zero tariffs by figuring out a way of actually being able to trade things that we're willing
00:25:19.280to give up for things on their side. But the problem is that the Liberal Party has fed into
00:25:25.000this idea that our offense at someone like Pete Hoagstra then completely nullifies our need to
00:25:32.580actually be smart in any of this. Our outrage will eventually make the Americans give us what we want
00:25:39.020rather than us being clear-eyed like Mark Carney often says we need to be. We're not being clear-eyed
00:25:44.720about what we need to do to get out of this. If Carney was so clear-eyed, we wouldn't be waiting
00:25:48.660still to get a deal and now the news is he may just scuttle the deal anyways because he realizes
00:25:54.240that's not going to go over well with his own people and so he'd rather have zero deal and keep
00:25:59.120this thing going for longer because it might be good for his poll numbers and it might keep his
00:26:03.980coalition together even though any objective outside view would say that he has been just
00:26:08.520he's been playing his cards terribly compared to pretty much every other world leader on the
00:26:13.600planet. Even China, who has also been retaliating against the United States, at least they have
00:26:18.380leverage, and they actually talk to the Americans. They're willing to be fighting. Now, I don't like
00:26:23.440China because it's run by the communists, but the fact that we can take lessons from communist China
00:26:28.720as well as Claudia Scheinbaum on two separate ends of the spectrum of how to deal with the
00:26:34.160trade issues, both of those being very left-wing, like, you know, Xi Jinping and Claudia Scheinbaum
00:26:39.800both being very left-wing, but both took a different approach, but they've at least
00:26:43.240done them better. We've taken like every approach and detract it. We have done the whole,
00:26:49.420let's be Fortress North America, you piles of disgusting slime, in the sense that we're like
00:26:54.100being friendly at the same time, we're also taking jabs at them. And we can say, well,
00:26:58.460they take jabs at us. Well, we don't have the leverage to take jabs. We did not develop the
00:27:02.820leverage. And that's not just because we're smaller. We could have developed the leverage.
00:27:06.660we could have cut taxes and regulations massively boosted the economy and then being able to be a
00:27:11.620little more strident in our language but we didn't and we can't and so we talk tough we pretend to be
00:27:18.260friends and then we just give them everything it's like literally we've just like we have the option
00:27:23.120to press one of three buttons let's be very friendly let's be oppositional and let's play
00:27:28.700kind of like negotiating hardball or whatever and we pretty much hit every button at the same time
00:27:34.640and so we're just giving them things while talking tough but then occasionally being
00:27:39.720friendly too. We say something friendly, take a jab, and then give them stuff. I don't even know
00:27:44.140what the heck we're doing. Anyways, so with all that being said, thank you guys for watching.
00:27:49.060Make sure to like, share, subscribe, and I'll see you guys in the next video. Peace.
