00:00:00.880Hello, everyone. Thank you for joining the live stream today.
00:00:05.260Apologies for being late. I was driving back home from something and I thought I was going to be able to make the time.
00:00:10.960I usually do like a Wednesday night live stream at like 9 p.m. because of the prior commitment.
00:00:16.620And then I stood around talking too much and then, you know, 848 instead of 840.
00:00:21.600So hopefully a bunch of people haven't given up on me in that eight minute time span or I didn't start right away.
00:00:27.340well we're here and we're not happy about it and i'm talking more as a country not the show
00:00:33.720uh my goodness i the i always actually i was actually starting to believe not in a good way
00:00:41.480but in just like an assumed way that i don't like mark carney i don't like the liberals but i assume
00:00:47.880that if we were ever to see like an eventual trade deal coming out of their efforts with the
00:00:53.120united states it would be something it wouldn't be great uh but it would be good enough that they
00:00:57.620might be able to declare some form of a victory or at the very least they would they would be
00:01:02.480strategically always kind of kicking the can down the road making small side agreements because they
00:01:08.300like fighting with trump the fact carney has really crapped this whole situation like it's
00:01:16.100just been bad how he's dealt with it and that's what annoyed me so much and required me to make
00:01:21.480that video today on the polls because i can't stand all these like polls coming out right now
00:01:26.800where it's like plus 20 liberal it's like guys can your polls at least somewhat make sense with
00:01:33.840the news cycle but you don't want to hear me talk more about polls in this video or in this live
00:01:38.600stream ahoy everyone for showing up and uh and swinging by i want to talk a little bit about a
00:01:46.280You know, I'm going to talk about a few things today, including something slightly spicy between creators when it comes to Alberta politics type stuff, you know, having somewhat to do with me running for the UCP and whatnot, as well as, you know, UCP nomination, not officially a candidate, as well as just some other stuff related to Alberta independence discussions and whatnot.
00:02:08.120But of course, I will start off with some of this nonsense going on around the trade talks.
00:02:16.100I have this video saved on my computer because I'll probably end up making a video on this, like a standalone video on this, but I'm almost like previewing it for you guys.
00:02:27.880I will be talking about this horrific segment on power and politics where they did this whole segment on Pete Hoekstra and a petition going around on whether or not he should be kicked out.
00:02:43.060Canadians want America's ambassador to Canada to be kicked out of the country.
00:02:47.820A petition to the House of Commons calls on the government to expel U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra.
00:02:53.200It accuses Hoekstra of making statements that undermine the Canada-U.S. relationship.
00:02:58.880As of this hour, the petition has over 70,000 signatures.
00:03:02.500That number has more than doubled in the last 24 hours.
00:03:17.340And so I'm going to be covering that probably in its own standalone video, not in this live stream here.
00:03:21.760What does it matter? But this is what I absolutely cannot stand in the current coverage of what's going on. Every time the CBC has one good panel where the panel actually starts, you know, getting onto the issues that matter and talking about like how, you know, what's Carney been doing for the past year and a half?
00:03:41.020What are the terms? Why are they being so opaque about what's going on? And why is Carney in Italy? That panel happened. And by the next day, the CBC double packed the panel with liberal partisans to talk about how, you know, how we really, this was always going to happen and we got to become more realistic and all this stuff.
00:03:58.700Like, I absolutely cannot stand the coverage because every time we almost start holding them slightly accountable, not that it's their job to be beating up on them, but every time we have some fair coverage, some fair and balanced panels talking about Mark Carney's actual performance on trade, then we just get back to, oh, Pete Hoogstra, should he be executed or should he be shot in the head or drawn and quartered?
00:04:25.240And it's like, what does this have to do with anything, guys?
00:13:44.640I wish the public and media didn't have such a short attention span.
00:13:48.580Where the cons have been right the whole time,
00:13:51.120it's everyone else catching up to actual reality and Polyev doesn't get the credit.
00:13:55.020Well, again, thank you for the $10 super chat.
00:13:57.020And that is the problem. That's also why when I see polls where the liberals are going from like 42 to 47 in one poll, like their last poll was like a month ago, and the liberals jump up massively and the conservatives fall down quite a bit, not only does it not make sense because like the last few news cycles have been not very good for the carny liberals and you don't expect them to rise during a bad news cycle, but also whenever you see people's public opinion shift that much, you know it's not real.
00:14:25.900that's the thing i'm frustrated by how willing people are to let kind of carney do what he wants
00:14:32.780for this long without actually demanding benchmarks be applied to what he's doing
00:14:38.400uh and it's because the public tent tends to change its mind slowly people will say well i
00:14:43.960thought carney's the man for the job when i cast my ballot in 2025 and i still do and it's like
00:14:49.240well have you not been keeping up with what he's actually been doing because that's the problem so
00:14:53.340many voters, especially urban voters, frankly, and I live in a suburban area, so I meet a lot
00:14:57.700of them. They are very stubborn, and they vote based on vibes so often. Full of Pimple says,
00:15:06.420hey, why do I watch you every day? I love your content. Well, thank you for doing that.
00:15:15.240Yeah, I said Third Tooth says 1469 says, you've said that CPC needs to fight just as hard for
00:15:21.060liberal safe ridings. And the point of fighting for the liberal safe ridings, and I can even
00:15:25.840slightly adjust my camera stand here. The reason why you fight for safe ridings is because swing
00:15:32.740ridings are attached to safe ridings. So it's not the best angle right now because there's a lot of
00:15:37.940room that you're seeing the ceiling. But this is the riding I'm going to be trying to run for the
00:15:43.340UCP nomination for, Calgary Curry. This riding, Calgary Curry, went NDP by 13% last provincial
00:15:51.420election. Now, I don't think it's actually that NDP-ish of a riding. It's just a riding that was
00:15:57.160very susceptible to anti-Daniel Smith hysteria, to the NDP pitching themselves as the saviors on
00:16:03.700the drug issue because the drug issue was really bad back in 2023. It wasn't bad actually because
00:16:08.320the UCP was actually in fact because of NDP policies that were implemented in 2016 or 2017
00:16:13.620that were still having negative effects into 2023 like the safe consumption sites and stuff like
00:16:19.180that but this riding is winnable absolutely it's going to be tough very difficult that's why I want
00:16:26.620to run for it in part because it's more interesting that way but if you want to win this area this
00:16:31.240neighborhood right here Bankview and then up here Senalta that Senalta went NDP by 33 points
00:16:38.100Now, obviously, the margins tend to be a little bit wilder when you go down to a smaller sample size, like a singular neighborhood pole.
00:16:50.080But you come out here, you go to Westview, and you come down to Glenmorgen and these kinds of areas, they're like plus two UCP or plus two NDP, or they're just tied.
00:17:01.000It's these swing areas that you really need.
00:17:03.720it's these really heavy NDP ridings. It's these heavy NDP poles that you kind of have to break
00:17:09.520into. And why I say you have to hit the safe liberal ridings is because right over here
00:17:14.720in the right over here to the east of Calgary Curry is Calgary Buffalo and north is Calgary
00:17:22.220Mountain View and Calgary Elbow is actually also a swing riding. It's actually a little more
00:17:26.480conservative than curry is but buffalo and and uh and mountain view let's realign this thing now
00:17:33.960hopefully the camera will compensate for the exposure i think it is you have to hit mountain
00:17:40.760view and buffalo really hard too are you not going to win you are not going to win right away
00:17:46.520if you're the ucp candidate in buffalo you're going to lose but what you are doing is a public
00:17:51.460service because next to Bankview and Synalta, there's other neighborhoods around here that both
00:17:57.800are in Elbow and there, and also there's just across the river in Mountain View. You want to
00:18:02.980make sure there's as many blue signs in that safe ridings neighborhood that borders the swing riding
00:18:09.280because people drive to work and people don't think I'm driving through a safe liberal riding.
00:18:13.640Of course, they vote liberal. People drive to work through liberal ridings in urban areas and
00:18:17.680they think, oh my goodness, everyone's voting liberal or provincially, oh my goodness, everyone's
00:18:21.300voting NDP. And that's why you need to try for those ridings, because people don't think at a
00:18:27.120bird's eye view on politics thinking, well, of course, there's not a lot of signs there. It's
00:18:31.180an urban NDP riding. They just see, oh, my goodness, the NDP has a lot of support around
00:18:36.580here. And that's why all safe ridings need to be contended for hard. I would say anyone who lives
00:18:41.800in a safe riding definitely get a law and sign for the conservatives, because you want to make
00:18:45.660it more normal for the commuters coming through there, seeing there's even conservatives in
00:18:50.620Buffalo. There are even conservatives in Toronto Centre or Vancouver Centre or Vancouver Granville,
00:18:57.000if you get my point there. But thanks for that question. I thought that that's always an
00:19:01.780interesting setup to talk about my favourite thing, which is election strategy. John Gotti
00:19:08.760for $6.99. Thank you for the super chat, John Gotti. On a scale of one to ten, how much trouble
00:19:15.340is pure in the conservative party in trouble polls wise well let's say poll like one is like
00:19:21.600dead in the water cannot win the next election you know re if anything we should want a new
00:19:26.740election to re-roll the dice and 10 is it's all fake they're gonna win you know conservatives
00:19:32.020are secretly ahead by 10 points i would say it's honestly a five it's honestly a four maybe uh the
00:19:39.200polls are not good for them right now if they went to an election they would lose but we're not going
00:19:43.840to an election? Because everyone always thinks like, well, if the polls are so good, why wouldn't
00:19:48.060Carney call an election? It's like, well, that's not quite how it works. Because remember, Trudeau
00:19:52.380was actually quite ahead in the polls in 2021. And then he called the early election. And then
00:19:57.700his lead completely dissipated. And even Aaron O'Toole, who was pathetic, kept him to a minority
00:20:03.240government. Because people don't really like the cynicism of just calling an early election.
00:20:07.480Now, sometimes it's smart, but you got to like wait until like the last six months before the
00:20:11.760next election, then you call an early election, you find a good excuse. There's no good excuse
00:20:15.720for Carney to call one right now. And so he would lose if he called one right now. The polling
00:20:20.080position is still not good. Not that it's not good because we're definitely going to lose and
00:20:24.920there's going to be a snap election called. What's going on right now is just, I would say,
00:20:28.800the conservatives are still behind, but the silver lining is that they're probably only behind by
00:20:34.300four to six points. So you're in striking distance if you get your act together. And your act
00:20:38.900together includes bolder policies. It includes, I would say, a more grassroots approach to politics.
00:20:44.680Enable more of your MPs to kind of do their own messaging. I'd say Dean Allison doing his vaccine
00:20:49.420inquiry, even though that's not one of my biggest issues I care about, really smart that he's doing
00:20:53.400that because that is an issue a lot of people would probably rate as their top issue, even
00:20:58.140though it's very niche. And so let him, if he's passionate about it, let him go and do that. That's
00:21:03.360great for him to be going and doing uh so bolder policies more of a grassroots approach of course
00:21:08.940more of a grassroots approach when it comes to picking candidates and nominations that's why
00:21:13.140the conservatives lost mississauga and brampton i think they just picked really uninspiring candidates
00:21:17.340they appointed people they were just kind of like shoving people out of nominations like jeff wall
00:21:22.020who ended up running he was a hindu guy he ended up running then for the ppc and even though the
00:21:26.980And the PPC's vote collapsed by like 87%.
00:21:30.260Like 87% of the PPC votes were wiped out in 2025.
00:21:34.920Jeff Lall in like Brampton Center or Brampton West or whatever,
00:21:38.740he like doubled the PPC vote because all of the Hindus in that writing
00:21:41.880were ticked off that all the Hindus kept getting kicked out of nominations.
00:21:45.280Hindus are the second most conservative, usually,
00:21:49.080second most conservative voting religious group
00:31:33.280And in a certain sense, I think people like Jamil Giovanni and Dean Allison have done a good job of just kind of going out and doing it. Maybe they were given permission to do the things that they were doing. I suspect that in part, they just kind of did it. And then the Conservative Party realized it was no big deal letting them do what they wanted. And they've been better off for it. So I would agree here with Stu saying he's not perfect, but he is good. I think he's good and he could get better. But there are certain things around bold policies that you need.
00:31:59.160I know it sounds so like generic to say he needs full policies, 20% tax cut as if, well, that's just, it's so simplistic, Wyatt. You can't just declare that and then win an election. It does change the narrative of an election. And the thing is, too, if you've ever gone door knocking, which you should once in your life, even if you just stand behind the MP, it's very interesting to watch.
00:32:18.600You really understand what people are like at the doors. You'll walk into an area thinking like, well, I can't believe that people are actually that crazy in favor of the Carney liberals and willing to just like carry war for them. You walk around certain neighborhoods. I heard people in North Vancouver, Capilano, they are in a quite upper middle class liberal area of North Vancouver, Capilano. And the people are like, we hate Pierre Polyev. We used to be conservatives. Now we're liberals. And it's like, oh my goodness, they don't even seem to care. Carney's not even fulfilling any of his promises.
00:32:47.860They they have simply become elbows up liberals. And it's just infuriating to see people are genuinely that obtuse. So that's why I always think that door knocking is a good idea. But your bold policies at the doors gives you as an MP candidate gives your volunteer something to talk about. Because sometimes we go to someone's door and all you have is I don't like what the government's currently doing, or let's slightly lower this tax or for the last six months of the year, let's get rid of the gas tax. Like, who cares? It's not that that's bad. It's just that it doesn't it's not media enough.
00:33:17.620and you need something really meaty to go to the doors,
00:33:19.700it's like you're going to the doors, it's like in a war,
00:33:23.360and you're like arming your troops to go fight the battle.
00:33:26.920Are you going to give them state-of-the-art weaponry
00:33:29.160and great tanks and air support and all that stuff?
00:33:33.260And that's, well, your air supports all your advertising
00:33:38.180Your tanks are making sure you have all those,
00:33:41.540your lawn signs and really good literature.
00:33:45.080And then your troops' small arms are the ideas they can take to that door so that they can say, hey, by the way, we're running and we're going to cut your taxes by 20 percent because right now our economy is shrinking every single year because we're kicking people in the country through high taxes.
00:33:59.760That gives you something to talk about.
00:34:01.300But if it's too small of an idea, it's like you armed your troops with old World War I surplus rifles that are barely working.
00:34:08.960Ryan Herbert, 6280, thank you for being a member for eight months.
00:34:12.560And he just says, keep up the great job, Wyatt.
00:34:14.560well thank you for keeping your viewership up
00:44:08.860The stupid, the equation that they use to calculate how much different provinces get
00:44:13.500is stupid and it holds them back from actually getting up on their own feet.
00:44:17.200It's not even good for them. It's like welfare policy in general for individuals. It holds you back and we need to get rid of it. It is bad. The problem is people act like we should leave because of equalization and then we'll be better off. It's like, okay, if you leave, you're going to have to have an entire consulate system all over the world for all the countries worth being in, hire ambassadors and staff.
00:44:37.220So Alberta, on net, pays about $3.5 billion into the equalization system that gets sucked away from us and spent on other provincial services in other provinces.
00:44:47.960I don't like that. I think we need to reform that. It's not even good for the provinces that we're keeping on this kind of welfare system.
00:44:54.520At the same time, if you left, the ambassadors and consulates and consulate staff you will need costs can to currently about $1.5 billion.
00:45:04.120dollars and that's kind of a fixed cost let's say alberta doesn't think we need to have a consulate
00:45:09.400in benin or nigeria or whatever although you might need to in terms of nigeria large countries that
00:45:14.840we want to export gas to eventually let's assume that you pretty much are you're in about 80 of
00:45:20.760the country's can the fines worth it to be in you're spending a billion dollars just on that
00:45:25.800you can't just say well we're 12 of the population of cannibals only spend 12 of what they would
00:45:30.120spend on ambassadors it's a fixed cost there's certain fixed costs you can't get away from
00:45:34.680border security would cost us about another 350 million to a half a half a billion and then many
00:45:40.440other hidden costs that you don't kind of think about and by that point maybe alberta is definitely
00:45:44.920better off than canada based on the math but is it so much better it's worth burning that bridge
00:45:50.760when i think that the sovereignty movement can still do a lot within canada and as conservatives
00:45:56.680I want to export Alberta values in other provinces. That's why I work in BC. That's why I involve myself sometimes in Ontario and even in New Brunswick, which many people don't maybe know. I've helped run advertising campaigns for nonprofit groups for third party advertisers in New Brunswick. I've helped make the literature that's put out there.
00:46:16.320I think that's what needs to happen is that the entire country just needs to be sort of given the small government education because, by the way, a breakaway country of Alberta can also fall into the same stupid traps Toronto does too.
00:46:30.940Just because we have oil and gas doesn't mean that we aren't susceptible to being stupid as well.
00:46:35.300So I'd rather have a big goal of trying to reform the country rather than let's retreat and try and make this smaller section better because you're kind of limiting the scope of success by going smaller.
00:46:46.320I am a conservative boomer, says she's been a member for seven months. So thank you, Patricia.
00:46:54.940Love when you're alive, Wyatt, you rock. ScottyW8R says, what will you do if Alberta
00:47:01.940referendum advances? Well, it's just not going to advance. Now, it's nothing to sneeze at the
00:47:07.740support they have. 30% is a lot. If you did an independence referendum in any other province,
00:47:11.940get like five or ten it's just not going to happen i would say if it did happen why just go along with
00:47:18.900it i just see what's going to happen and that's not hypocritical it's just kind of how it goes
00:47:22.980sometimes you know something happens you didn't expect you know we separate well i guess i live
00:47:27.460in a separate alberta and i'll figure out how that works then oh my goodness i wasn't drinking liquid
00:47:35.860wood for so long i can only buy this in the in america which is i guess my one pitch for the 51st
00:47:41.460state. Not that I actually believe in that for any NDP people clipping me in the future. I can buy
00:47:47.180diet barks in Montana. Okay, so Myron228 for $10 says, I have not watched Derek since I heard he
00:47:58.100screwed Clyde over. And yet he literally accused Clyde, and thank you for the $10, Myron,
00:48:03.260accused Clyde of committing a crime. He accused Clyde of stealing expensive microphones from him
00:48:09.140by getting them and not paying him back for them which doesn't even make sense or he somehow didn't
00:48:14.800like follow through on something he was supposed to do it was so it was such an insane accusation
00:48:20.360he then later had to delete that video because he fibs and this is the thing about him he just
00:48:25.580kind of fibs it's a problem raptorguy86 for five dollars says i hope you and moose on the loose
00:48:31.540david collaborate on a video sometime yeah i'd be willing to do that he tends to be a bit of a lone
00:48:36.140Wolf and I think he actually kind of works really well solo. So I don't think he really even does
00:48:40.440interviews or, or, or goes on other people's show. To be fair, I do talk to him in the background
00:48:46.560sometimes, especially about polling firms and how to read certain data in polls, just as I'd probably
00:48:52.140end up consulting some of his videos when it comes to things he knows about that I don't know about.
00:48:58.340A all nine, six, three, one says for $20. Thank you, by the way, for that. You have a cute dog
00:49:04.320photo is your profile off topic u.s border officers are friendlier but crossing back into
00:49:09.400canada i am canadian the canadian border officers are abusing their power horrendous a-holes and
00:49:15.700arrogant as hell now i to be fair i've never experienced this coming back from um because i
00:49:21.840sometimes go down to montana it's you know the u.s state right under alberta and i find that they're
00:49:27.340always pretty friendly to me maybe you're in a jurisdiction where you're going over like the
00:49:31.340ambassador bridge uh or you're crossing from like bc into washington or into you know from
00:49:38.400ontario into michigan maybe the border crossings are a little bit different out there uh i think
00:49:43.240the culture of both alberta as well as the kind of east interior of of british columbia i don't
00:49:50.640think they take it too seriously they i think they're pretty they're pretty lenient overall
00:49:54.640as long as you're honest but that probably doesn't sound like it's been your experience
00:49:58.160wherever you happen to be crossing chan 5761 for 279 thank you says end indigenous consultations
00:50:06.300absolutely it's just an extortion method at this point consultations can go on forever until they
00:50:12.160feel satisfied which means money it means doing something else that they want it's just and it's
00:50:17.340bad for them it's like it's welfare culture it's welfare culture just as equalization is it's just
00:50:22.260as supply management is welfare culture ends up destroying communities it ends up destroying
00:50:27.300industries and destroying provinces so whenever people act like it's compassionate no it's not
00:50:32.760not at all unless you think it's compassionate to enrich chiefs who abuse their power and neglect
00:50:38.100the actual proper functioning of their reserve areas and i don't think reserves should even
00:50:43.040really exist because it's like a socialist state that you can't even own property on
00:50:47.140which feels like it should probably violate some sort of property rights of those indigenous people
00:51:22.740The NDP are probably also going to come back up a little bit because they got trounced there.
00:51:26.780I think they only got like 8% of the vote there, even though it's typically a pretty friendly riding to the NDP, even if they don't win it.
00:51:33.380I'm actually helping Sheree Attiste and Northern Watcher, two young kind of polling enthusiasts.
00:51:38.720We're going to be running our own poll for all three of the by-election riding.
00:51:43.080so I will be doing exclusive my own sponsored poll analysis on the show at some point for
00:51:49.360North Vancouver Capilano or Chico Timi Le Fjord, as well as for Beaches East York.
00:51:55.420Now, I don't expect Beaches East York to not go liberal, especially since
00:51:58.500Mike Layton isn't running, Jack Layton's son. That was disappointing to see maybe he didn't
00:52:03.060think he had the kind of like running time to be able to do it. If maybe if the election was
00:52:06.940in October he would do it or or late September but he dropped out but conservatives really play
00:52:13.980their cards right really grind it out there they and they can show a slight bump up that's enough
00:52:19.800to declare victory on and I think Polyev needs to get used to declaring victory even if you didn't
00:52:24.080win the seat if in North Vancouver Capilano conservatives don't win but the winning margin
00:52:28.660from the liberals turns from 22 points down to eight or even just 10 or like and 10 is a pretty
00:52:35.480good victory margin, but it's not 20. And the conservatives can say, in this safe liberal
00:52:40.080riding, we chopped the liberal margin down to half. In Beaches, East York, we gained eight
00:52:45.180points. In Chikotimi, we held on to the ride and expanded the lead. Chikotimi is going to be a
00:52:50.340nail biter because that one is just a riding that block liberals or conservatives can win.
00:52:55.140They're all within their margin of error of each other in the last election.
00:52:58.160apoc595 says you didn't offer how to bring change the constitution how
00:53:04.000sorry and i'm not trying to exploit you by getting you to getting you to super chat another five
00:53:10.740dollars for that way you i would say that's kind of what i was already saying in that but i didn't
00:53:15.780make directed enough to the constitution it's just knocking over bad provincial governments
00:53:20.720and getting better people in there i think that uh scott mo and and probably uh daniel smith
00:53:28.160would be willing to open it up even tony wakeman and the newfoundland and labrador probably willing
00:53:32.720to open it up in some ways because since oil it's become such a big oil and gas province
00:53:36.720they're kind of being abused as well and so i think that you can get some people to be willing
00:53:43.360to uh willing to engage in reform it requires quebec or ontario to get their act straight and
00:53:49.680it's not going to happen under ford and it's not going to happen under the current uh quebec uh
00:53:56.000CAQ premier, and it's probably not going to happen under anyone who wins that next provincial
00:54:00.440election. But you also only need one of the two. So I think Ontario is the better bet to,
00:54:06.760in the next 10 years, maybe have a real conservative government who would agree to reforms.
00:54:13.000My earn for $10 says, I'd laugh if Derek was lurking. I don't know. The funny thing is he
00:54:18.720knows I criticize him. He made a response video where he didn't say my name at all, but he was
00:54:24.540like, trying to justify why he, like, obviously lies in his thumbnails. Like, guys, can we all
00:54:29.960agree this stuff's kind of ridiculous? Daniel Smith just ended her career. Canadian police
00:54:34.900just crossed the line. That one's fine, all other than the slightly ridiculous title. But when you
00:54:39.220actually go through all this stuff, Daniel Smith is replacing Pierre Polyev, where he makes the
00:54:44.080claim that Daniel Smith is trying to replace her and take his job from him. No, she's not. I can
00:54:49.800just tell you that she is not trying to do that. She's probably, after she's premier, after this
00:54:53.640next term we'll just retire but there's tons of right there's tons and tons and tons of these
00:54:59.620titles and thumbnails and videos where he says daniel smith just lost her job i'm not i'm not
00:55:05.900just bullying creator here at some point i'm calling him out the same way i would call the
00:55:11.320cbc out ctv news i would attack andrew coin for being a fake conservative he is not really a
00:55:17.960conservative. He is a shock jock grifter who's making money lying to people. King Odie, old man
00:55:24.540Milo says, why you need to drink that awkwardly like Marco? How does he drink awkwardly? I could
00:55:30.800drink it like Trump. You know what? I'm going to give Derek Smith a compliment. Great Trump
00:55:35.240impressions. He does a really good Trump impression. It's way too bubbly, so it's not
00:55:43.720actually pleasant to drink okay uh the pleb reporter says for five dollars do you like my
00:55:49.080slop channel no the pleb you're not a slop channel your your culture war channel is how i would label
00:55:54.200it so i thought i thought i think the content's good pleb reporter for five bucks says any tips
00:55:59.760on how i can improve as a content creator honestly i think the videos are well made i think the
00:56:04.500structure is good you know i think we do very different types of content but i think you're
00:56:08.600i think the stuff's good overall we all have like we're almost all on a different bit of
00:56:13.640a spectrum in terms of how culture war is the channel or how like uh analytical is the channel
00:56:20.720in terms of like really talking about specific policy so like northern perspective and like the
00:56:25.060great canadian bagel are like very analytical and then we have like very culture wars channels like
00:56:29.920the pleb and i'm kind of like probably somewhere more in the middle like kind of like next to like
00:56:34.040a jasmine lane and maybe david a little more analytical than me you get my point there but now
00:56:39.600I do need to get to the video of him claiming that that Daniel Smith was in favor of the Edmonton
00:56:49.040police uh having that report hate hotline like because this was kind of egregious or very
00:56:56.620egregious that whole video by the way it's entitled Daniel Smith just ended her career
00:57:01.520guys look at there's nothing in the video about her until like way later on he talks about the
00:57:07.960Edmonton police. But then he talks about Daniel Smith here. And apparently she ended her career
00:57:13.360because she didn't make a comment on it during the long weekend. The pleb reporter for $5 says,
00:57:22.700do you think I'm ridiculous for making five videos on the good life fitness sword guy?
00:57:27.680No, that guy's a complete lol cow. I think you should still be making fun of him. He was a
00:57:31.800Calistani lol cow, which means that he needs double the scrutiny that anyone else got. That
00:57:37.020was actually a good that was a good team building kind of a controversy because i think i got even a
00:57:42.000lot of liberal canadians to realize a bunch of these calistani guys are dweebs but in this video
00:57:47.800he again tries to go after her for apparently not saying something fast enough about the edmonton
00:57:54.420police thing because she didn't comment on it within 36 hours during a long weekend i have to
00:58:00.300show it again for context in this video premier danielle smith said this ages ago and i know
00:58:04.480her word is about as valuable as a wooden nickel these days but where is the premier on what
00:58:12.380happened in edmonton after this statement she was flipping probably out of cabin it was a long
00:58:17.520weekend like she's it happened it dropped on a friday we're into the long weekend and then
00:58:24.080saturday sunday monday because it's the long weekend and your communication staff and all
00:58:28.460your other people are off and it's kind of a complex issue to talk about you can't just like
00:58:33.120backhand the city of Edmonton they're ridiculous but you still have to work with them so they had
00:58:38.400a very diplomatic but very firm statement that you then released after the long weekend on Tuesday
00:58:43.400like I feel like this shouldn't be that complex that hard to understand
00:58:47.580um but yeah I'll keep going or what's going on in Edmonton were we bamboozled again by the
00:58:55.720premier what what is going on here I can tell you that that is not the pathway we're going down in
00:59:00.200Alberta. We would be the opposite of that. Well, I can tell you our approach in Alberta
00:59:06.340is that the federal government does have the power of criminal law. We have the power of
00:59:11.780non-enforcement. And what that means is we choose our policing priorities and we choose our crown
00:59:20.020prosecution priorities. And I can tell you if the intention behind it is to do what we're seeing in
00:59:25.440the uk where regular citizens are getting hauled off to prison because they post something online
00:59:32.880that hurts someone's feelings we we are just not enforcing that there's just there's no way that
00:59:37.080that is that's not the culture in alberta uh we um reaffirmed in our alberta bill of rights
00:59:42.140that free speech is protected and we we just don't we think that's a government overreach
00:59:48.440the okay so just i actually don't really know why he even bothered playing all that uh considering
00:59:56.400that like he's just saying that he doesn't like her but then he plays like an old interview of
01:00:00.080her which it's funny because she actually ended up on tuesday posting that clip of herself
01:00:03.880basically saying that yeah we stand by free speech and i'm reiterating my previous position
01:00:08.380like her pipelines that she said any government investment is a loss
01:00:12.360she confirms here that the alberta bill of rights protects free speech that they are not going to
01:00:18.820focus police efforts on hurt feelings reports how is it that the police were able to obtain
01:00:25.480contracts for ai body cam scanners and flock cameras if we're not going to enforce these
01:00:32.660kind of laws these draconian overreach laws why is it that the edmonton police force how come
01:00:41.440nobody from the alberta government has reached out to the edmonton police force or put a stop
01:00:47.760to their uh bus wraps their okay i play this so you guys know he said this 36 hours after it
01:00:58.040happened and apparently this was enough to condemn her for not doing something why isn't someone from
01:01:02.920the alberta government not doing something maybe they are maybe at the time they didn't maybe
01:01:08.220thought they could just like tell the Edmonton police don't do that please stop and then move
01:01:13.740on from there you know because I absolutely don't like the report hate thing but we didn't even give
01:01:19.160Danielle Smith like five seconds to respond it's a long weekend all of her comm staff are probably
01:01:25.160off you know going out to parks with their kids and stuff like that you got to give people a second
01:01:30.440it wasn't a crisis where something was going to happen unless she did it obviously the Edmonton
01:01:35.800police were already just taking it left and right from people for that ridiculous report hate
01:01:41.260campaign. A lot of no doubt is connected with the awful mayor, Andrew Knack. At the same time,
01:01:47.060the Alberta government kind of has to keep a little bit of a, you know, keep some good vibes
01:01:51.920with the Edmonton city because they do stuff with the city of Edmonton all the time. The capital is
01:01:57.040Edmonton. So you have to be a little bit careful. But the fact that then on Tuesday, Mike Ellis,
01:02:03.300the public safety minister the justice minister mickey amory danielle smith herself and other mlas
01:02:09.220all came out saying absolutely we do not we not believe in the concept of hate speech we don't
01:02:14.340not condone people being awful and rude we don't condone people being racist or doing whatever
01:02:19.940but that's not a crime and we're not enforcing it and we are in contact with the city of edmonton
01:02:24.740and making them known our stance and that we're not this is not what they will be spending their
01:02:28.580budget on because obviously they have some strings to pull and if they keep doing this
01:02:32.020they could just say well we're not going to give you a provincial as big of a provincial
01:02:36.100transfer if you're going to screw around with your police budget but what there was no correction
01:02:41.620he did this video said her career is over accused her of being okay or if not permissive of the
01:02:49.540edmonton police hate report hotline made no follow-up video retracting the fact that he
01:02:55.220had attacked her for this and he's done this a few times i need to pull up some of these clips
01:02:58.980some of these like really wild clips of her of him attacking danielle smith uh for stuff that's
01:03:05.520just kind of like honestly just based on nothing like just based on misinformation like the whole
01:03:11.920idea that she is somehow dragging her feet with the provincial police it's not we're not bringing
01:03:16.640back the draft the provincial police is not going to be a thousand people two thousand people strong
01:03:22.600within a month and in a year there's ten thousand provincial police it takes a while you have to
01:03:26.980organize it. And you're going to probably slowly absorb county RCMP detachments into the provincial
01:03:33.020police. And it'll grow from 600 officers as it's now, probably less a year ago. And then it will
01:03:38.520go to 1,200 and 2,000 and 3,000. And as they're able to handle more territory, eventually you'll
01:03:43.760probably end up having the Edmonton and the Calgary police be a detachment of the provincial
01:03:49.060police. That will eventually happen. But all these people keep attacking her for things that
01:09:25.580Because I pointed out that she was not in favor of the Edmonton thing, and you just had to wait until the long weekend was over, and they were likely to make a statement on it.
01:09:35.540She didn't make a statement in favor of it.
01:09:37.240If she did that, I would be out here criticizing her, as I criticized her on other things when I thought she was on the wrong side of the issue.
01:09:43.160And when she got on the right side of the issue, I was happy with it.
01:09:46.180But he says here, at the time she didn't come out, and this is his co-host, at the time she didn't come out, she came out later.
01:09:53.260so let me get this straight you're pissed that he is not towing the conservative line
01:09:57.220you're pissed because he can praise and be critical of our elected officials because i
01:10:01.660was pointing out that he keeps oscillating between praising her and and literally attacking her for
01:10:06.140complete nonsense i i'm sorry but you can't say well she hadn't come out yet how many videos could
01:10:12.840i crank out every single day and i could be like oh my goodness pure poly of supports this thing
01:10:17.320the liberals are doing because he hasn't issued a statement in 24 hours like what are we talking
01:10:22.000about. And John is right. He is bipolar. He is just putting out content to get people to click
01:10:28.800on it. That is why he will say in a previous thumbnail, Mark Carney just gave Canada to
01:10:34.500Donald Trump, or it's that he'll put up posts where it says Donald Trump and Daniel Smith have
01:10:40.740a new Alberta independence announcement. No, they don't. Not even in any realm of reality
01:10:47.700did they say anything about alberta independence but it's just rage baiting or baiting your
01:10:52.900audience into clicking on something promising the world and nothing like it happens which resulted
01:10:57.900in this very funny interaction from a few days ago where he had a live stream where he was pumping
01:11:03.140up this idea that something big was coming out and you should definitely watch it because it's
01:11:07.380going to be like explosive what he has and it was just some clips of the freedom of the forever
01:11:12.780can to people who are ridiculous being ridiculous and i think somebody from the channel had like
01:11:17.580footage of them, you know, trying to raise money and Thomas Lukasik doing an event. Ridiculous
01:11:23.400people. Thomas Lukasik is obviously breaking election rules. He kind of overhyped. It wasn't
01:11:28.120that bad, but whatever. But one guy came back after he had overhyped that live stream about
01:11:34.680all the stuff that's going to be revealed. This guy, Scott Giboney, who is an independent
01:11:39.960supporter, who is an apparently a frequent watcher of him, said, dude, your clickbait
01:11:44.940posts are getting me to not watch your stuff you have a headline that's interesting but
01:11:48.780in reality it doesn't usually match the info to the greatness of the headline i'll tune in but
01:11:54.320it's silly or exaggerated i'm out derrick smith responds to that by saying sounds like an issue
01:12:00.400not an ish me and then he says you're right i just thought telling you may give you uh may
01:12:06.380may give you a wannabe full-time watch your opinion on on why i but maybe others don't tune
01:12:12.400in as often i watched just not everything what do i know i'm not a dude on camera thanks for what
01:12:17.360you do even if my intent was to give insight and derek then says maybe it's the way you said it
01:12:22.580i'm open to criticism but i'm also but i also give respect when when when it's also given
01:12:28.680was this rude am i taking crazy pills here guys was scott saying something rude here i feel like
01:12:38.000this is actually like a fairly like respectful way of nudging the person saying hey sometimes
01:12:44.940you make a title and it's not really the reality of what was going on and he just like dumps on
01:12:49.780the guy and acts like oh that's an issue not an ish me and that like i only i give respect when
01:12:54.820respect is given back it's like the guy wasn't disrespectful he he had a critique but you have
01:12:59.920people who define being mean or being too critical as just giving any critique at all like apparently
01:13:06.460he wanted a paragraph telling him how like you know attractive and wise he was before they said
01:13:12.260oh and also when you claimed that Daniel Smith just ended her career that that seemed not true
01:13:17.900and you said something that wasn't true about her position on an issue that she then clarified
01:13:22.840within like 24 hours when the long weekend ended it's just oh my goodness it's just hard to watch
01:13:30.240uh and again going through things like like claiming that Clyde do something stole stuff
01:13:36.220from him and whatnot it's getting much and I find that the independence space there are great people
01:13:41.580who support independence Corey Morgan Keith Wilson Eva Chibiuk tons of people John Bolton
01:13:47.740uh what's his name so Mitch Sylvester people I don't even exactly agree with on the issue I'm
01:13:53.220not an independence guy but they advocate for their side quite well I I think I've given slight
01:13:58.680criticism of John Bolton before because he was going after a conservative MP for having a Alberta
01:14:03.680flag in the background of his office that wasn't ironed it was creasy and it's like this is kind
01:14:08.500of the problem with independence sometimes all the messaging is a little bit too focused on those
01:14:12.080who already support it and not winning new people federalists don't care about a creasy flag and if
01:14:16.840you want to move them over sometimes you have to you know not harp on stuff like that but overall
01:14:21.520John Bolton does a good job stuff like this is what holds that movement back because everything
01:14:27.160is just over promising massively under delivering and frankly disrespect to people who don't already
01:14:35.060agree um but yeah and the thing is that i think it also gives the independence movement a bad name
01:14:41.020as if they're coming out to defeat danielle smith she has been giving them gifts and not like
01:14:46.460undeserved gifts like nenshi and the ndp claim that oh my goodness it's like they're it's like
01:14:51.440they're, it's like they're, she's trying, like they're always trying to accuse her of being a
01:14:56.640secret separatist, which is absolutely ridiculous. What am I trying to say here? My point is that
01:15:03.540it's not, the NDP likes to accuse her of having done too much for the separatists. I don't think
01:15:07.980she has. I think she's been very fair. She's lowered the referendum thresholds for petitions
01:15:12.440for everybody. And it's funny as the left still complains because their anti-Cole one didn't get
01:15:16.440on the referendum ballot this year uh but what the problem is we can't then have people on the
01:15:22.600other side who have already benefited massively from daniel smith's premiership saying it's not
01:15:27.560good enough now we're going to take you out for doing more than anyone else would have done and
01:15:31.700also for some reason we're allowed to lie about you because you've betrayed us in some abstract
01:15:37.840way because that was also what his co-host claimed to me was that they're like basically
01:15:41.500like speaking truth to power because daniel smith is powerful the pleb reporter says for five dollars
01:15:47.100thank you pleb white label just ended his career it's over mgip6ki descends in 13.99 well thank
01:15:55.500you mg that's very thoughtful of you helps out the channel the pleb reporter for five dollars says
01:16:01.500what do you think about mark zlipinski can you please review his content i actually find mark
01:16:06.620slipinski funny because he's so obviously an engagement farmer it just becomes ridiculous
01:16:11.900and kind of comedic just how frankly pathetic the whole thing is at some point i'll review them
01:16:18.060oh pleb you and pleb clyde any other creators watching this start watching illyria a it's
01:16:25.580i need to go find her channel she's really really funny she's a liberal and she just like basically
01:16:31.660puts out the elbows up line so dedicatedly it becomes really hilarious so check out this
01:16:39.860her channel here i got onto it because this this video she released over here where it says
01:16:46.940carney might cave on u.s booze and dairy here's why it doesn't even matter but she is that liberal
01:16:53.200if mark carney suddenly reverses himself overnight on a big campaign promise or his elbows up stuff
01:16:58.420she'll say, oh, it's perfect. It was so wise that he did this. So guys, go and subscribe to Illyria
01:17:03.480A if you're a content creator and you just want to find funny, like elbows up liberal videos to
01:17:08.680talk about sometimes. I'm not going to abuse it too much. I'll filter them in, feather them in
01:17:13.060sometimes. FHawk 595 says, so you think the amending formula in its current form allows
01:17:19.380change? The sun will go out before that happens. It's difficult. The amending formula, my point is
01:17:25.980sometimes people make this argument of saying, well, it's so hard to amend anything, and the
01:17:30.220chances that something happens are going to be very, very slim. Ergo independence. But the thing
01:17:35.760is that that's not an argument for independence, because independence activists, and I'm saying
01:17:41.140this as advice, not as naysaying, they have to make the case for Alberta, and they have to fill
01:17:45.180in the blanks on things like monetary policy, the military, the borders, the ambassadorships and
01:17:51.040consulates, all of the other services that we're going to have to take on as a government that we
01:17:55.680don't have the infrastructure to really house right now, all of that needs a plan. I think that
01:18:00.600there is a chance that you could amend it. Is it slim? Sure. But if we do the right things,
01:18:04.560we can expand that chance that it will happen. And I just think that this doesn't then endorse
01:18:10.700the independence movement that I think is kind of half-baked in a lot of ways. And that's not saying
01:18:15.900I think it's ridiculous or it's stupid. That's not my point. I'm saying it's half-baked in the
01:18:20.180sense that the movement tends to message towards all the people who already agree and can already
01:18:24.440picture in their own minds how this stuff will happen there are too many people who that's not
01:18:28.440the blanks have not been filled in so they think it's pie in the sky now i i have reasons why i
01:18:33.400think it's still not really worth the cost benefit analysis doesn't really isn't really there for it
01:18:38.760but if you want to get some of the people on the fence over you have to be able to fill in blanks
01:18:43.160rather than saying things in albert or things in canada suck we can't amend anything so let's leave
01:18:48.120it's like well you need a little more than that with certain people
01:18:50.920uh d1s destroyed is i believe that how that said for uh been an eight-month member he says good
01:19:00.080evening why and tnt enjoy your joyers do you think we should uphold our allies on the right
01:19:05.420to a higher standard than our enemies on the left and why well and i think that's the point of what
01:19:10.760i'm saying here when you have channels who are simply just kind of pushing things that didn't
01:19:16.580happen as news on their channel. Trump and Smith have a new independence announcement for Alberta.
01:19:23.800You know, Danielle Smith wants Pierre Polioff's job. Mark Carney just gave away the country.
01:19:29.400You know, Danielle Smith ended her career. She's trying to bribe you and stuff like that. And it's
01:19:33.400like, no, that didn't happen. Or at least how you're describing it is so exaggerated, it does
01:19:40.100not actually resemble the truth in any way. And that's a problem, because it makes people
01:19:44.820understand politics less when everything is shock jock tabloid stuff rather than what are the polls
01:19:51.160looking like why are the polls that way here's a cbc segment here's what the person said here's
01:19:56.460why it's wrong or what the stuff that northern perspective and moose on the loose do that are
01:20:00.400highly analytical that teach you things that you would have not known unless they explained it
01:20:04.900i learned stuff from them they do a very very good job uh baked on things does a great job
01:27:59.620And again, Andy Lee had claimed that he was there posting when he was supposed to be voting and you're not allowed to be voting outside of the country of Canada.
01:28:09.960A lot of people want to remove the get rid of the remote voting rules as well that you shouldn't be able to sit at home just voting and never actually showing up to Parliament.
01:28:17.280I agree. It should be for limited circumstances. You can get speakers permission to vote from home.
01:28:22.780Let's say you have cancer treatments and you want to stay, you want to recuperate your own home and you're doing parliament from at home and you get like a note from your doctor and the speaker lets you do it for a couple months.
01:28:34.600You shouldn't be able to do it from the other side of the country and never go in and have no really good excuse.
01:28:40.200Sean Chen might have been trying to vote for Canada from China, which would be illegal, which you are not allowed to do.
01:28:46.980That would break a lot of parliamentary rules.
01:28:48.980At the same time, I'm not sure if he did that.
01:28:52.500Or if he had simply posted those photos while he was back in Canada and he was working remotely.
01:29:00.200There's probably something there related to the CCP.
01:29:02.980Again, just everything he was doing felt like oddly coordinated.
01:29:08.360Like you look at the footage and it feels like United Front workers propaganda.
01:29:12.960The guy going there and signaling his support for Beijing.
01:29:16.200I don't think a Joe Tay would ever do that, to put it that way.
01:29:19.060I don't think a Kenny Chu would ever choose to do something like that.
01:29:23.080I don't think Kevin Wong would go to China and be having ice cream and tickling people's bellies or whatever he was doing over there.
01:29:30.080Not that not that there's footage of that, but I'm just like, it's a little bit too warm with government officials from Beijing.
01:29:36.720And I think that should be a massive red flag in the next campaign when it comes to what conservatives highlight about liberal MP candidates.
01:29:44.080uh joe sukin uh says joe sukin says why do you think pierre should at least start talking about
01:29:53.600social issues like immigration gender ideology and dei i feel like he's ignoring the social
01:29:58.820conservative voter base i think you highlighted three that he actually does pretty well on
01:30:03.420immigration especially with michelle rumple garner she's been doing a good job on that
01:30:07.340particular issue jamil giovanni he does a good issue job on it gender ideology and dei i don't
01:30:12.940think that you could ever, I don't think he's been ignoring those. The one I would say he's
01:30:16.960ignoring as a pro-life conservative is that we need more pro-life policy. Now they do the anti-made
01:30:21.900stuff, but I think some softly pro-life, some soft, let's defund extreme late-term abortion,
01:30:29.960that's the way of getting more evangelical Christians and Catholics to be able to show up
01:30:35.000for your party in the next election. That's the thing, that's the bullet the conservatives need
01:30:39.120eventually bite and understand that that is a big vote getter issue because if you're not
01:30:44.800going to run on it well maybe those people's next issue is their pension and they vote liberal
01:30:49.120because they're in new prunswick and the liberals in their minds are reliable uh a reliable party
01:30:54.720for increasing their pension benefits um
01:31:09.120john john says i want people walking around with a knife and a pistol or a rifle well i don't
01:31:14.940necessarily disagree with you that people should be allowed to do that again the problem with the
01:31:19.300kerpan guy was that he's in a good life fitness and it's a private company saying hey can you not
01:31:24.480do that it's like you know makes people uncomfortable to be like just it wasn't even
01:31:28.480like he was wearing a shirt and was like under the shirt it was like just in full view because
01:31:31.840he's like peacocking around and had like some of the worst lifting form apparently a lot of uh like
01:31:37.600you know gym rats had ever seen because that's really what was going on there like the guys
01:31:42.320there for social media updates and clicks and whatnot apparently his lifting posture was
01:31:47.680terrible and i'm saying this obviously somebody who doesn't lift but people who do are saying
01:31:52.520it was just like embarrassing to watch but yeah so with all that yeah that china thing is a
01:32:05.580someone says official official the slimer says peer is pro-choice yeah as leader he is which is
01:32:14.360funny because as an independent individual mp as a conservative since 2004 up until he became or he
01:32:21.220was running for leader in 2022 he had an extremely consistent pro-life voting record i know the
01:32:27.040people at the campaign life coalition and right now the pro-life groups used to go door knocking
01:32:32.040with him because he was considered a very consistent pro-life mp and he almost needs
01:32:36.400to ask himself well why were you getting re-elected in in in uh what's in sorry why am i
01:32:42.400forgetting the name of the writing carlton why are we getting re-elected in carlton if apparently
01:32:47.260being pro-life is bad apparently it wasn't hurting him in carlton having pro-life organizations
01:32:52.480endorse him and walk around door knocking for him but he lost after he stopped being pro-life now
01:32:58.060i'm not saying that's the root reason why he lost carlton i'm saying it wasn't affecting him
01:33:02.000negatively before. And if anything, it will help you in the Maritimes, which the Maritimes are
01:33:06.780very, very, very socially conservative places compared to even in Alberta or British Columbia
01:33:12.580or Manitoba. Alberta is more like libertarian, got off my front lawn kind of conservative.
01:33:18.580New Brunswick is more like evangelical or Catholic pro-life conservative. That's kind of what they
01:33:25.360are over there. If anything, they're kind of fiscally liberal, socially conservative. And I
01:33:30.760think the conservatives by not picking up that pro-life issue are leaving votes on the ground
01:33:34.860because you're going to get attacked as pro-life anyways but the pro-life people say well you're
01:33:39.740not pro-life though because they know you're not pro-life but the media and the liberals are going
01:33:43.560to say you're pro-life and you're going to have people mad at you anyways but you don't have
01:33:47.060people loving you for it because you're not running on it that's always the problem
01:33:49.880i agree with nancy morrow here god will will honor the conservative party if they stand up for the
01:33:56.560unborn, I think it's probably good for, you know, to stand up for moral things. I think that's
01:34:01.740usually good. And I don't think you're going to be, you know, spiritually punished by God for
01:34:06.760having stood up for the unborn. It doesn't mean you're going to win every election. But hey,
01:34:11.300I think it's generally a better idea than not.
01:34:17.240Javon again says, you mean like late term, like Massachusetts? I mean, like the stuff they were
01:34:25.000doing in like Virginia with like Ralph Northam basically saying you could abort a child after
01:34:29.120it was born that's the thing that you wanted to say because we that does happen in Canada and
01:34:34.260they just obscure the numbers to not really tell you if it's happening like super late it's just
01:34:38.980happening after 20 weeks now that stuff like if you actually pull people on hey would you ban it
01:34:44.780after like the seventh month it pulls terribly to say no everyone thinks it should be banned after
01:34:50.560a certain point. Yeah. King Audie old man Milo for $2 says Pierre and the conservatives need to
01:35:00.000be unapologetic. And absolutely, because politics at the end of the day is 90%. This is my made up
01:35:06.720figure, you know, 90% of statistics out there are made up. But my general conception, my general
01:35:13.120view of politics is 90% of why you win a race is that your base really liked you and they showed
01:35:18.620up. Unless you're in an insurgent party who's not normally in an area and you have to kind of
01:35:23.860convince people over, you almost have to inherit someone else's base, but you don't win people over
01:35:29.300by like meeting them in the middle and having soft kind of mushy policies. You win people over
01:35:34.740by connecting with something they're really passionate about and having a strong stance on
01:35:39.140it. You don't win by like kind of like soft shoeing around the issues and saying, well,
01:35:44.660you know, I'm going to cut your taxes slightly more, or don't worry, I'm not going to go too
01:35:49.920hard on that. I just want it moderated a little bit. Nobody really wants that. Chinese Canadian
01:35:55.600voters, or just Asian Canadians in general, I'm talking like Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino,
01:36:01.740very moderate voters in terms of their tone. They're not fiery people when it comes to their
01:36:06.800votes. At the same time, they're hyper, hyper tough on crime. Those people want to bring back
01:36:14.040public's executions in terms of, I'm being silly, but they do not like drug dealers. They do not
01:36:19.740like the homeless encampments. They want it cleaned up and they just want it out of the way.
01:36:24.260They're not going to be in there protesting with their signs saying, don't move that homeless
01:36:27.640encampment. That's, that's mean. That's cruel. They'll just, they'll be cheering for you to get
01:36:32.400rid of them, but they're moderate quote unquote voters. But the thing they care about, they care
01:36:37.080about passionately. That is what people need to realize that if you run on a, if you run on big
01:36:42.420change, you get big voter turnout because people turn out for big change. People don't turn out
01:36:47.660for slight change. That's pathetic. There you go. Acute Little Mint 8035 says, I'm Asian. Our
01:36:59.240concerns are security and affordability. There you go. We have the Asian voter in the chat,
01:37:04.900the most generic Asian voter in the chat. And the generic Asian voter is actually very secretly
01:37:09.480super conservative security and affordability cut taxes and get the get the creeps off the street
01:37:15.760that's how you win those people get the addicts off the street force them into involuntary care
01:37:20.480that's how you win them that's what you should be doing uh a menteer says it's very simple
01:37:26.500that's why don't focus on religion it's just taxes drugs and security that's it now you can
01:37:31.760say don't focus on religion which i would say that being pro-life is not strictly religious
01:37:36.620It's more of just a social issue that some people care about.
01:37:39.580But the thing is that you might not care about that.
01:37:42.060But if I run on being slightly pro-life and you're a very tough on crime affordability
01:37:47.760voter, if I'm running tough on crime and pro-affordability, I want to cut taxes 20%
01:37:52.760across the board, are you then going to get to the ballot box and say, but I'm not voting
01:37:56.020for him because he's pro-life and I don't care about that issue?
01:37:58.600No, you're going to vote for me because I check the boxes on the things that you cared
01:38:03.160The problem is when the party gets scared to check those boxes.
01:38:06.180You know what I mean? Like they don't. Oh, well, if we do that, someone might criticize us. Who cares? You're trying to get the people who care about that issue out. Who cares if someone who didn't like you on that issue before is going to complain about it? That person is still probably going to show up even if they complain, if you're really good on the one issue that they care about.
01:38:21.900But I'm trying to go back a little bit.
01:38:26.940Mint says, but don't go full on religion.
01:55:29.620on people being frustrated like they are.
01:55:31.460And they're rightfully frustrated with Ottawa. I'm frustrated with Ottawa in a lot of ways. But you can't assume that, like, let's say the 30-year-old woman shares your frustration. She probably connects with your frustration 0%. And it's not because she loves Ottawa. She just doesn't understand the issue.
01:55:47.940But I find the independence movement assumes everyone understands the issues super well, and then they don't do advocacy door-to-door in suburban areas trying to inform people or trying to convince people.
01:55:58.720There's too much internal messaging that goes on to people who already believe and nobody outside of the tent.
01:56:21.880And that's my best I can give the independence people.
01:56:24.060Figure out how to win a suburban area and then you can be on your way.
01:56:27.960But I don't think they were interested, the leaders, in that.
01:56:31.260The rank and file independence people probably are.
01:56:33.860People like Jeff Rath don't really seem interested, in my opinion.
01:56:37.740Many of the other guys like putting up signs in rural areas because it looks good because
01:56:41.220there's a decent amount of independence support out there.
01:56:43.120You get to the city, and I'm driving around my riding in the most blue provincial riding in Calgary, Calgary West, and there's really nothing. It's really nothing, because there's people who wear sweaters and button-up shirts like me who vote conservative every time, but we're not really enthralled by the culture of the independence movement, and let's kick Ottawa's butt and whatnot, especially because the costs haven't been added up for why it would be better.
01:57:11.820You can't just say equalization. You have to say why having our own ambassadors and consulates and our own currency production and our own military and our own border security for all four sides of the province as its own country would still be better than the equalization.
01:57:26.080Like that would those costs would be lower. You get my point? Like that's what they need to answer. And I'm not even saying it's a bad idea.
01:57:31.660I'm not saying like, oh, it's a stupid idea for stupid people.
01:57:35.460Very good ideas are in the movement, but they then have to make, answer the unknown questions
01:57:41.140that people have, and they wonder how that would work, or would this all fall apart,
01:57:44.960or would this be a disaster if it happened?
01:57:46.800You have to be able to elucidate those for people, or else they're going to say no, because
01:57:52.660no one votes for massive change when there's a lot of what you'd call imponderables.
01:57:57.280There's a lot of question marks everywhere.
01:57:58.820jessica for 279 says did you see the funniest lake names in canada
01:58:06.040no i haven't probably if that's a new video video i haven't but i'm aware of the funny names that
01:58:13.500some lakes are called in canada probably a lot into them in manitoba as they were getting lazy
01:58:19.080and just trying to name stuff on mass aall 9631 for ten dollars thank you aall says wyatt you
01:58:27.680should be Polly's advisor. I really wish he would listen to your suggestions. I think they somewhat
01:58:32.420listen and they somewhat listen to other creators. And by the way, they somewhat listen to regular
01:58:37.240people who don't do politics all day who send in suggestions. I would say Andrew Lawton is the
01:58:43.420current guy in charge of policy. He's in charge of platform development. Andrew Lawton is a great guy
01:58:50.540to be sending suggestions into. If you have a policy suggestion, send them in. I think it's
01:58:56.220great to think on these things for yourself as well. Come up with your own unique ideas
01:58:59.680and send them in because it might actually influence them. If they see people are sending
01:59:03.980them in bold suggestions for what they want on policy, they're going to think, oh, well,
01:59:08.540we definitely need to run on this because we keep getting like seven, eight, 10, 20 emails a day
01:59:12.580saying 20% tax cut, or I want to see this major reduction in capital gains, or I want to see this
01:59:18.940different policy on pro-life or guns or infrastructure or military or whatever.
01:59:24.580You get my point. Immigration, definitely.
01:59:30.560Nothing personal says we don't need a federally run school lunch program.
01:59:34.960Absolutely. Very easy way of saving money.
01:59:37.600And if people's taxes are cut, no excuse not to be providing your own kids school lunch.
01:59:43.820If a local public school wants to pay for it themselves, they can do that.
01:59:47.320I don't really see what the point of it is.
01:59:49.780There's that, oh my goodness, there's that really stupid...
01:59:54.580There was that really stupid debate that was going on in the United States about $20 burritos, if you ever saw that, where people were saying it was like elitist of people to say that you shouldn't be buying $20 burritos, and that one thing would frustrate me.
02:05:35.040The actual titles and whatnot are obnoxious.
02:05:39.120I bet you, like Charlie Angus's show, which is low-quality sludge content,
02:05:44.800There's probably unions and other liberal front groups that are promoting these into people's email lists and into people's feeds. There's a lot of money behind promoting stuff like the Midas Media Canada crap. That's actually, oddly enough, these people complain about foreign interference, and yet Charlie Angus is literally funded by an American progressive front group trying to separate Canada from Republicans to basically make it so that every time a Republican gets elected, Canada shifts away, making Republicans in theory in America more
02:06:14.800unelectable because every time we elect a republican we have problems with canada like
02:06:19.920but yeah this the the content from some of these people is just straight trash we're winning the
02:06:27.040trade war right now you you can bet your bottom dollar i'm gonna have to make a video on that
02:06:32.080one because i need to hear how we're actually totally winning right now uh someone here gun
02:32:35.040I said that in articles. And then in early 25, probably listening to public opinion or from people, from people's feedback, she reversed herself, became far more immigration restrictionist, said Alberta wants to take over its own immigration.
02:32:50.260Great. Happy with that. Certain other things started up. I was happy with that. So my content has always been very consistent.
02:32:57.180If I had a problem, I'd explain the problem. And then if that problem was resolved because the Smith government did a better job on it, I'm happy.
02:33:03.260special and parental rights did a very good job on that one she's continuing to do a good job on
02:33:08.160it by honestly extending that win with more policy suggestions banning political flags from schools
02:33:14.720some people report it as like it's a pride flag ban not really it's it's a it's a ban on all
02:33:19.400political flags you know you can't put the ccp flag in your classroom you can't put the christian
02:33:24.480flag in your classroom can't put the pride flag in your classroom as it should be in a public school
02:33:28.740i'm a christian i don't need christian flags in public schools it should be the canadian flag
02:33:33.160Alberta flag flag of Calgary if you're in Calgary and like the Union Jack that should be the flags
02:33:38.460or other flags of Canada obviously um going through this thank you for the five dollars
02:33:44.900Stacey Williams I don't know if you meant to attach a uh a comment to that but you've been
02:33:49.800very very generous and Katara Olson uh dad was CIA yeah that is always funny that uh in fact
