00:00:00.160 It's really hard to believe, but Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada
00:00:04.060 actually used to be popular on social media.
00:00:06.800 Even just a couple of years ago, if the Liberals posted something on Facebook or Twitter,
00:00:11.320 it would actually benefit them politically.
00:00:13.380 Just the ability to communicate with Canadians, promote their agenda, and hopefully win some votes
00:00:17.100 was a major reason to use social media.
00:00:19.880 These days, it actually seems like social media is a massive liability for the Liberals.
00:00:24.680 Whatever they post, they're effectively just reminding Canadians of how bad they are at their jobs.
00:00:29.600 And it seems like Justin Trudeau has bred in such a blind, incompetent arrogance into the Liberal Party
00:00:35.380 that they don't realize that just shoving down the exact same failed policies down Canadians' throats,
00:00:40.760 implying that everyone who's not voting for them is secretly potentially a bigot,
00:00:44.460 is not a very good strategy.
00:00:46.120 And I just want to go through a few of the posts today, just so you can see how bad the ratios are
00:00:50.640 and just how bad the communication strategy inside the Liberal Party is.
00:00:54.360 And before I start there, I just want to kind of talk a little bit about my philosophy
00:00:58.100 when it comes to sort of analyzing politics.
00:01:00.620 I don't want to slow this down too much and, you know, make it a boring show
00:01:03.060 where Roy just talks about his weird approach to how it'll think about politics.
00:01:07.300 But even though I'm a strong conservative,
00:01:10.060 I still love to look at the communications that other parties put out,
00:01:14.200 not just to criticize it, although I do.
00:01:16.600 I like to look at it and see who is this actually appealing to and could I learn from it?
00:01:21.040 And from looking at all of the Liberal Party's social media content,
00:01:25.580 I can only tell you what not to do.
00:01:27.940 So that's why I want to move on to this first post.
00:01:30.100 So this one has Justin Trudeau and the Liberals going after Pierre Polyev and Conservatives over housing policy.
00:01:35.820 This post reads,
00:01:37.000 Pierre Polyev wants to tax builders and cut housing investment.
00:01:39.820 That won't build more homes for Canadians.
00:01:42.460 We're moving forward with real solutions to increase supply and lower prices.
00:01:45.820 And then, of course, he has a picture of Pierre Polyev that says Pierre Polyev's housing priorities.
00:01:50.800 It says, increase red tape and bureaucracy, cut liberal investment to build more homes and tax builders.
00:01:56.220 And then it has a picture of Justin Trudeau that says, cut red tape and lower prices,
00:01:59.920 help cities build more homes faster and remove the GST to speed up rental construction.
00:02:05.220 Now, anyone who reads that post does not believe the Liberals one bit
00:02:10.600 because they can't cite one policy that they actually have that's doing any of this.
00:02:14.320 And although that would be good communications back in 2015 when people don't know the incompetence of the Liberals,
00:02:20.600 when you accuse your opponent of being the exact opposite of what everyone knows that they are,
00:02:25.240 you're only going to frustrate people and just think that you're liars.
00:02:28.720 You actually might be alienating voters who are on the fence who might vote Conservative or might vote Liberal.
00:02:33.760 And when they see you come out and basically accuse Pierre Polyev of being the biggest friend of bureaucracy,
00:02:39.380 a lot of them are going to say, OK, the Liberals don't have anything.
00:02:43.600 They're just lying now because really, Pierre Polyev, the great champion of bureaucrats and taxes, it's not going to work.
00:02:50.800 Anyways, this next post is this next post was kind of funny to me because it's like the most not nothing post ever that the Liberals put out.
00:02:57.620 And you can see down at the bottom how much how ratio this post is getting.
00:03:01.520 It's just him going to some sort of like electric vehicle, like conference or whatever, making pledges about supporting green energy.
00:03:08.400 And this is not appealing to anybody.
00:03:11.700 You can the government, if they want to talk about green energy and renewables, I don't think they should at all.
00:03:16.040 But this is popular when the economy is good.
00:03:18.980 You have to earn the privilege of being able to talk about frivolous stuff.
00:03:22.460 Right now, the Liberals talking about funding EVs is only taking people off because the only people like the only people who own EVs are making over one hundred fifty thousand dollars a year.
00:03:31.480 Those people are or those people might be voting liberal.
00:03:34.440 Maybe you might be appealing to them, but they're not that big of a portion of the country.
00:03:37.720 You're not winning elections based off GTA elites.
00:03:41.440 You're winning elections based off the vast majority of people being like appealing to that.
00:03:46.680 Anyways, I want to move on to the next one, because this one was actually had to do with the housing.
00:03:50.520 And again, this one not only got ratioed super hard with eleven hundred and eighty eight comments to only three hundred nineteen likes.
00:03:57.260 And I can assure you those are negative comments.
00:03:59.560 If they were positive, those individuals would have liked the post, too.
00:04:02.680 And this also gives lie to the other housing posts that the Liberals put up even like literally same day.
00:04:09.600 And this one says unlocking low cost financing will help build up to thirty thousand or more rental apartments every year.
00:04:15.960 Another crucial part of our plan is build more homes faster and lower prices for Canadians.
00:04:21.440 OK, the first the first sentence of that post have has like a massive car accident with that second sentence.
00:04:28.640 So I think they mean when they say the thirty thousand more rental apartments, I think they mean apartment units.
00:04:33.120 I really doubt that anyone would ever claim that they can build thirty thousand apartments a year in this country.
00:04:38.640 But the first the first sentence is in a massive divorce with that second sentence because they're saying, well, we're going to build more apartment units by financing, like by having cheaper financing.
00:04:51.000 So we're going to shove more money into the market.
00:04:53.660 We're going to give more easy money, more easy loans into the market.
00:04:56.980 And that's going to help build more apartments, which financing doesn't actually help build more apartments.
00:05:01.820 It would be, you know, lowering regulations, speeding up approvals and, you know, lowering property taxes and other taxes.
00:05:07.660 That's how you speed it up. I know that's not all federal government responsibility, although the federal government has very easy ways of communicating with other jurisdictions to work on this stuff regardless.
00:05:18.680 But moving on that second sentence.
00:05:20.200 So basically, their plan is to we're going to build more stuff by spending more money, giving more people more money.
00:05:24.760 And then they say another crucial part of our plan is to build more homes faster and lower prices for with lower prices for Canadians.
00:05:30.860 It's like, no, you can't have lower prices if you are overheating the market with money.
00:05:36.620 The reason why college or university in the U.S. costs so much is because regardless of what stupid degree you're taking, you can peel off two hundred fifty thousand dollars guaranteed by the government to go and take that stupid degree.
00:05:49.740 So every single university, if they're, you know, not dumb, is going to say, well, I think it's still a little unscrupulous.
00:05:56.020 Like, let's say I was running a university. I wouldn't exactly do this because I think it's bad for the country.
00:06:00.120 But every university is just going to take the incentive that, well, if everyone has two hundred fifty thousand dollars in their pockets for education,
00:06:06.540 I'm going to make their degree cost around two hundred and fifty thousand dollars because it's if you like the government's effectively giving me free money through these students taking,
00:06:15.220 you know, arts degrees that aren't going to get them real jobs. And I say this as someone with an arts degree.
00:06:19.560 I like mine, but there's a lot of arts degrees out there that people shouldn't have gotten.
00:06:23.320 A lot of anthropology majors out there wondering what they can do with that degree in terms of a job.
00:06:29.640 But, yeah, this post is not helping the liberals at all. People at this point, this would work in twenty twenty one.
00:06:37.420 In twenty twenty three, people are well aware of enough of the issue of inflation and how the government keeps spending money.
00:06:43.840 Things are going to get worse to the point where this post is self-defeating.
00:06:47.320 You're basically telling people we're going to overheat the housing market even more and that's going to make it like more affordable.
00:06:54.000 That that's where you get eleven hundred people commenting on that on that on that like post.
00:07:00.120 People understand what's going on. And let's be clear, especially Twitter is a left wing haven in terms of the number of leftists on Twitter compared to the number of conservatives.
00:07:10.260 It's getting I think the ratio is getting a little bit more even since Elon Musk took over Twitter and then renamed X.
00:07:15.940 But this is should be a platform that it's not. It's pretty easy for the liberals to dominate.
00:07:20.480 Facebook tends to be a little bit more older and more conservative overall.
00:07:24.480 But the fact that they're losing Twitter is telling like they should be.
00:07:28.960 And this is a lot of these posts you'll find are being like quote tweeted by like liberal MPs to promote it.
00:07:34.660 So they're having they have like a massive coordinated push to try and get these posts, you know, seen by as many people and positively received.
00:07:42.160 And it's not working whatsoever.
00:07:43.500 And just today, Justin Trudeau posted again, I'm not sure it's such a stupid holiday or like special calendar date.
00:07:51.780 I don't know if it's a holiday or it's just some sort of like memorial calendar date.
00:07:56.100 But Justin Trudeau making this absolutely stupid post for International Safe Abortion Day.
00:08:01.060 And he said in Canada, abortions have been a safe and legal part of the health care system since 1988.
00:08:06.400 We'll make sure that continues to be the case.
00:08:08.400 We'll never put your rights to choose up for debate and we'll keep working to remove barriers and make abortion more accessible.
00:08:15.480 What do you mean more accessible?
00:08:16.820 We literally don't have a law other than the fact that doctors have the choice to not, you know, provide a late term abortion if they don't want to, because that's that's kind of extreme.
00:08:26.200 That there's no restrictions. And also we legalize it.
00:08:30.240 We didn't make it legal in 1988. We just put it in this weird legal limbo where it's neither legal or illegal.
00:08:35.640 But Justin Trudeau, this is his new strategy is saying, OK, pure policy is absolutely destroying me on the economy.
00:08:42.300 He's absolutely destroying me on the parental rights issue.
00:08:45.100 He is absolutely destroying me on corruption and he's destroying me on every single possible issue.
00:08:50.840 I'm going to talk about abortion. That's what's going to bring the majority of Canadians back to me, especially all the ethnic voters that I've just alienated by saying that they don't own their own kids and that schools should have more power than parents.
00:09:02.220 I'm going to bring those people back by saying, hey, guess what? You can abort your child.
00:09:06.760 And it's like, I don't think this is not the win that Justin Trudeau thinks it is.
00:09:10.660 And again, that like he got more likes on that because there is a very, very rabid pro abortion until like the first five days of life crowd will like anything like that.
00:09:21.660 But if you like the comments were not on his side at all, even fairly libertarian people when it comes to the issue of abortion thought this was just very weaselly for Justin Trudeau to do.
00:09:32.620 Abortion, even though I'm very pro life, is not a massive political issue, election to election, because most people don't really want to talk about it.
00:09:40.060 And this post is just, I think, ticking off most of the people in the middle who know that it's not usually a big election issue, election to election.
00:09:48.000 And to see Justin Trudeau, this is like this. This post is like the right behind this post is all of Justin Trudeau's policy failures and people see right through it.
00:09:55.740 And like it would it would go on like this. I could even like backbench liberal MPs, people who people usually ignore on social media.
00:10:03.940 Those people, it's always like they'll have like 50 likes and like 250 comments, especially Mark Gerritsen.
00:10:09.400 But it's just funny to clown on Mark Gerritsen. These people are terrible at their jobs.
00:10:13.760 Like as a conservative who wants the liberals to lose, I will still throw them the little tiny little nugget of advice.
00:10:21.880 Fire your communications team. This stuff is so bad.
00:10:25.760 It's just doubling down on terrible policy failures and trying to repeat them long enough that people might think that the policies are working.
00:10:33.920 They're not and nobody is dumb enough to believe in. Just fire your communications team.
00:10:38.420 I give you this free little piece of advice, Justin, even though I'm ripping you every single day on Indian television, we're friends.
00:10:46.640 You know, we're friends. Just just do what I'm telling you to do.
00:10:48.920 And you'll maybe win one more seat than you would have in the next election.
00:10:52.780 You're still going to lose. But maybe Mark Gerritsen keeps his seat.
00:10:56.800 Well, that's it for me today. I have my usual legal fundraiser link in the description of this video below.
00:11:03.140 I'm being sued by a Chinese billionaire. It's a ridiculous case.
00:11:07.180 He literally at one point had to pay me eighteen hundred dollars because he wasn't filing any of his non evidence.
00:11:12.260 Like he eventually filed his evidence. But if you actually read the stuff, you wouldn't actually see it as real evidence.
00:11:16.840 But personally, I've had to pay like fifteen fifteen thousand dollars.
00:11:21.200 I like tripped up on that because I just realized how much money I have to spend.
00:11:25.100 I was going to say fifteen hundred. No, it is fifteen thousand that I've spent defending myself.
00:11:29.020 So if you can donate anything to that campaign, that really helps take the take the costs, the pressure of costs off me.
00:11:35.700 And then I also have the TNT email link in the description.
00:11:38.380 If you want to get our email sent to your inbox with our articles and videos, sign up for that.
00:11:44.220 And you don't have to rely on social media algorithms to be able to show you whenever we have new content.
00:11:48.540 And other than that, I hope everyone has a fantastic day.
