Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada seem to have no idea what they re doing with their social media presence. In fact, they seem to think it s the worst form of communication they ve ever used. And it s not hard to see why.
00:01:37.000Pierre Polyev wants to tax builders and cut housing investment.
00:01:39.820That won't build more homes for Canadians.
00:01:42.460We're moving forward with real solutions to increase supply and lower prices.
00:01:45.820And then, of course, he has a picture of Pierre Polyev that says Pierre Polyev's housing priorities.
00:01:50.800It says, increase red tape and bureaucracy, cut liberal investment to build more homes and tax builders.
00:01:56.220And then it has a picture of Justin Trudeau that says, cut red tape and lower prices,
00:01:59.920help cities build more homes faster and remove the GST to speed up rental construction.
00:02:05.220Now, anyone who reads that post does not believe the Liberals one bit
00:02:10.600because they can't cite one policy that they actually have that's doing any of this.
00:02:14.320And although that would be good communications back in 2015 when people don't know the incompetence of the Liberals,
00:02:20.600when you accuse your opponent of being the exact opposite of what everyone knows that they are,
00:02:25.240you're only going to frustrate people and just think that you're liars.
00:02:28.720You actually might be alienating voters who are on the fence who might vote Conservative or might vote Liberal.
00:02:33.760And when they see you come out and basically accuse Pierre Polyev of being the biggest friend of bureaucracy,
00:02:39.380a lot of them are going to say, OK, the Liberals don't have anything.
00:02:43.600They're just lying now because really, Pierre Polyev, the great champion of bureaucrats and taxes, it's not going to work.
00:02:50.800Anyways, this next post is this next post was kind of funny to me because it's like the most not nothing post ever that the Liberals put out.
00:02:57.620And you can see down at the bottom how much how ratio this post is getting.
00:03:01.520It's just him going to some sort of like electric vehicle, like conference or whatever, making pledges about supporting green energy.
00:03:11.700You can the government, if they want to talk about green energy and renewables, I don't think they should at all.
00:03:16.040But this is popular when the economy is good.
00:03:18.980You have to earn the privilege of being able to talk about frivolous stuff.
00:03:22.460Right now, the Liberals talking about funding EVs is only taking people off because the only people like the only people who own EVs are making over one hundred fifty thousand dollars a year.
00:03:31.480Those people are or those people might be voting liberal.
00:03:34.440Maybe you might be appealing to them, but they're not that big of a portion of the country.
00:03:37.720You're not winning elections based off GTA elites.
00:03:41.440You're winning elections based off the vast majority of people being like appealing to that.
00:03:46.680Anyways, I want to move on to the next one, because this one was actually had to do with the housing.
00:03:50.520And again, this one not only got ratioed super hard with eleven hundred and eighty eight comments to only three hundred nineteen likes.
00:03:57.260And I can assure you those are negative comments.
00:03:59.560If they were positive, those individuals would have liked the post, too.
00:04:02.680And this also gives lie to the other housing posts that the Liberals put up even like literally same day.
00:04:09.600And this one says unlocking low cost financing will help build up to thirty thousand or more rental apartments every year.
00:04:15.960Another crucial part of our plan is build more homes faster and lower prices for Canadians.
00:04:21.440OK, the first the first sentence of that post have has like a massive car accident with that second sentence.
00:04:28.640So I think they mean when they say the thirty thousand more rental apartments, I think they mean apartment units.
00:04:33.120I really doubt that anyone would ever claim that they can build thirty thousand apartments a year in this country.
00:04:38.640But the first the first sentence is in a massive divorce with that second sentence because they're saying, well, we're going to build more apartment units by financing, like by having cheaper financing.
00:04:51.000So we're going to shove more money into the market.
00:04:53.660We're going to give more easy money, more easy loans into the market.
00:04:56.980And that's going to help build more apartments, which financing doesn't actually help build more apartments.
00:05:01.820It would be, you know, lowering regulations, speeding up approvals and, you know, lowering property taxes and other taxes.
00:05:07.660That's how you speed it up. I know that's not all federal government responsibility, although the federal government has very easy ways of communicating with other jurisdictions to work on this stuff regardless.
00:05:20.200So basically, their plan is to we're going to build more stuff by spending more money, giving more people more money.
00:05:24.760And then they say another crucial part of our plan is to build more homes faster and lower prices for with lower prices for Canadians.
00:05:30.860It's like, no, you can't have lower prices if you are overheating the market with money.
00:05:36.620The reason why college or university in the U.S. costs so much is because regardless of what stupid degree you're taking, you can peel off two hundred fifty thousand dollars guaranteed by the government to go and take that stupid degree.
00:05:49.740So every single university, if they're, you know, not dumb, is going to say, well, I think it's still a little unscrupulous.
00:05:56.020Like, let's say I was running a university. I wouldn't exactly do this because I think it's bad for the country.
00:06:00.120But every university is just going to take the incentive that, well, if everyone has two hundred fifty thousand dollars in their pockets for education,
00:06:06.540I'm going to make their degree cost around two hundred and fifty thousand dollars because it's if you like the government's effectively giving me free money through these students taking,
00:06:15.220you know, arts degrees that aren't going to get them real jobs. And I say this as someone with an arts degree.
00:06:19.560I like mine, but there's a lot of arts degrees out there that people shouldn't have gotten.
00:06:23.320A lot of anthropology majors out there wondering what they can do with that degree in terms of a job.
00:06:29.640But, yeah, this post is not helping the liberals at all. People at this point, this would work in twenty twenty one.
00:06:37.420In twenty twenty three, people are well aware of enough of the issue of inflation and how the government keeps spending money.
00:06:43.840Things are going to get worse to the point where this post is self-defeating.
00:06:47.320You're basically telling people we're going to overheat the housing market even more and that's going to make it like more affordable.
00:06:54.000That that's where you get eleven hundred people commenting on that on that on that like post.
00:07:00.120People understand what's going on. And let's be clear, especially Twitter is a left wing haven in terms of the number of leftists on Twitter compared to the number of conservatives.
00:07:10.260It's getting I think the ratio is getting a little bit more even since Elon Musk took over Twitter and then renamed X.
00:07:15.940But this is should be a platform that it's not. It's pretty easy for the liberals to dominate.
00:07:20.480Facebook tends to be a little bit more older and more conservative overall.
00:07:24.480But the fact that they're losing Twitter is telling like they should be.
00:07:28.960And this is a lot of these posts you'll find are being like quote tweeted by like liberal MPs to promote it.
00:07:34.660So they're having they have like a massive coordinated push to try and get these posts, you know, seen by as many people and positively received.
00:08:16.820We literally don't have a law other than the fact that doctors have the choice to not, you know, provide a late term abortion if they don't want to, because that's that's kind of extreme.
00:08:26.200That there's no restrictions. And also we legalize it.
00:08:30.240We didn't make it legal in 1988. We just put it in this weird legal limbo where it's neither legal or illegal.
00:08:35.640But Justin Trudeau, this is his new strategy is saying, OK, pure policy is absolutely destroying me on the economy.
00:08:42.300He's absolutely destroying me on the parental rights issue.
00:08:45.100He is absolutely destroying me on corruption and he's destroying me on every single possible issue.
00:08:50.840I'm going to talk about abortion. That's what's going to bring the majority of Canadians back to me, especially all the ethnic voters that I've just alienated by saying that they don't own their own kids and that schools should have more power than parents.
00:09:02.220I'm going to bring those people back by saying, hey, guess what? You can abort your child.
00:09:06.760And it's like, I don't think this is not the win that Justin Trudeau thinks it is.
00:09:10.660And again, that like he got more likes on that because there is a very, very rabid pro abortion until like the first five days of life crowd will like anything like that.
00:09:21.660But if you like the comments were not on his side at all, even fairly libertarian people when it comes to the issue of abortion thought this was just very weaselly for Justin Trudeau to do.
00:09:32.620Abortion, even though I'm very pro life, is not a massive political issue, election to election, because most people don't really want to talk about it.
00:09:40.060And this post is just, I think, ticking off most of the people in the middle who know that it's not usually a big election issue, election to election.
00:09:48.000And to see Justin Trudeau, this is like this. This post is like the right behind this post is all of Justin Trudeau's policy failures and people see right through it.
00:09:55.740And like it would it would go on like this. I could even like backbench liberal MPs, people who people usually ignore on social media.
00:10:03.940Those people, it's always like they'll have like 50 likes and like 250 comments, especially Mark Gerritsen.
00:10:09.400But it's just funny to clown on Mark Gerritsen. These people are terrible at their jobs.
00:10:13.760Like as a conservative who wants the liberals to lose, I will still throw them the little tiny little nugget of advice.
00:10:21.880Fire your communications team. This stuff is so bad.
00:10:25.760It's just doubling down on terrible policy failures and trying to repeat them long enough that people might think that the policies are working.
00:10:33.920They're not and nobody is dumb enough to believe in. Just fire your communications team.
00:10:38.420I give you this free little piece of advice, Justin, even though I'm ripping you every single day on Indian television, we're friends.
00:10:46.640You know, we're friends. Just just do what I'm telling you to do.
00:10:48.920And you'll maybe win one more seat than you would have in the next election.
00:10:52.780You're still going to lose. But maybe Mark Gerritsen keeps his seat.
00:10:56.800Well, that's it for me today. I have my usual legal fundraiser link in the description of this video below.
00:11:03.140I'm being sued by a Chinese billionaire. It's a ridiculous case.
00:11:07.180He literally at one point had to pay me eighteen hundred dollars because he wasn't filing any of his non evidence.
00:11:12.260Like he eventually filed his evidence. But if you actually read the stuff, you wouldn't actually see it as real evidence.
00:11:16.840But personally, I've had to pay like fifteen fifteen thousand dollars.
00:11:21.200I like tripped up on that because I just realized how much money I have to spend.
00:11:25.100I was going to say fifteen hundred. No, it is fifteen thousand that I've spent defending myself.
00:11:29.020So if you can donate anything to that campaign, that really helps take the take the costs, the pressure of costs off me.
00:11:35.700And then I also have the TNT email link in the description.
00:11:38.380If you want to get our email sent to your inbox with our articles and videos, sign up for that.
00:11:44.220And you don't have to rely on social media algorithms to be able to show you whenever we have new content.
00:11:48.540And other than that, I hope everyone has a fantastic day.
