Summary

Trump's endorsement of the Tories is good for the Tories, bad for the Liberals, and a gift to Jagmeet Singh. I also talk about why I don't trust Mark Carney anymore and why I think he's a weakling.

00:00:00.000 So in a strange turn of events, Donald Trump has just blown up Mark Carney and the Liberals' federal campaign by endorsing them.
00:00:10.380 This broke as of like 20 minutes ago, and you guys need to see the video to believe it.
00:00:17.360 And mark my words, this is very good for Pierre Paulyov and the Conservatives.
00:00:21.440 The Liberal Party is going to win now in the next election, most likely.
00:00:25.580 And they were on down tonight.
00:00:27.420 Isn't that going to make them more hostile to us and possibly over the door for China, closer to Canada?
00:00:34.780 And that would really put us in a bind.
00:00:36.340 The Conservative that's running is stupidly no friend of mine.
00:00:40.160 I don't know him, but he said negative things.
00:00:41.840 So when he says negative things, I couldn't care less.
00:00:44.440 I think it's easier to deal actually with a Liberal.
00:00:49.240 That cannot be overemphasized.
00:00:52.320 It's terrible for the Liberals and it's great for the Conservatives.
00:00:56.300 Because you and I can probably both understand what the subtext there is.
00:01:01.260 Pierre Paulyov and the Conservatives are tough to deal with.
00:01:05.800 You know, they're strong.
00:01:07.180 They stand up for Canada.
00:01:08.740 Whereas Trump has had a history of getting one over on the Liberals when the USMCA was being negotiated.
00:01:17.220 Trump hated Justin Trudeau for personal reasons.
00:01:19.700 And now that Justin Trudeau has, you know, taken his long walk into a Canadian tire, apparently, if you saw that weird Instagram post he put up.
00:01:28.040 Now that it's Mark Carney, he's totally fine to deal with the Liberals again.
00:01:31.520 So he got rid of the guy he had personal animus with.
00:01:34.380 And now he gets to deal with Mark Carney, who I literally just made a video.
00:01:38.400 And I had just gotten up from it when I saw this clip where Carney's stammering all over the place.
00:01:43.300 He's stuttering.
00:01:44.140 He doesn't know how to deal with someone like Trump.
00:01:46.560 Of course Trump wants to deal with him.
00:01:48.220 He says it's a mistake not to have Paulyov, like, basically ally with Trump.
00:01:53.840 But if you understand how Canadian politics work, it's smart not to seem very pro-America as a Canadian politician.
00:02:01.940 I find the anti-American politics of Canada to be very tiring and silly.
00:02:06.940 That you can't seem too American or that's a bad thing.
00:02:10.460 Where Trump endorsing a politician in, like, Germany or France or the UK actually helps them.
00:02:16.240 But because Canada's identity, or at least with a lot of more liberal default Canadians, is all about not being American.
00:02:23.900 And getting the President of the United States, especially Donald Trump, to say that he likes working with liberals more, is going to cause so many liberals to say, I'm done.
00:02:33.680 Trump thinks he can get one over on Carney.
00:02:35.600 I don't trust Carney anymore.
00:02:36.860 This is also a gift to Jagmeet Singh.
00:02:40.420 Because Jagmeet Singh sucks at politics.
00:02:42.820 You couldn't find someone worse at politics than Jagmeet Singh.
00:02:45.800 And now he can finally say, see, Carney is not only a bootlicker for billionaires, which is a very stupid slogan that they've been trying to use both against Paulyov and Carney now.
00:02:56.360 But look, even Donald Trump thinks he's a weakling and he can make Canada the 51st state if Mark Carney stays as the Prime Minister.
00:03:05.580 This is hilarious.
00:03:07.360 By the way, I'm taking a mini victory lap.
00:03:10.260 Obviously, things could change.
00:03:11.940 But I was right.
00:03:13.140 I just said it in a video earlier today.
00:03:15.640 It was the first one I put out.
00:03:16.840 I'm putting three out today.
00:03:18.000 That the Trump issue is actually going to be pretty good for conservatives when the election comes around.
00:03:24.720 Things don't tend to stay static.
00:03:26.760 Yes, for a short period of time there, it was a good issue for the liberals that because they are progressive and, you know, moderately center left, even though they're just flat out left these days, that they're the bulwark against Donald Trump's Republicans.
00:03:42.080 And you can't trust those conservatives because they share so many views with the Trump Republicans.
00:03:48.580 Okay, well, that didn't work out.
00:03:50.960 And now this is an issue where Paulyov can say, yeah, Trump said that because Carney is a complete weakling.
00:03:55.940 And then cut to tape of Carney falling all over himself just trying to say a 30-second statement because the guy has no clue.
00:04:03.760 He has no charisma.
00:04:04.980 He has no strength.
00:04:06.600 Somebody should lend that guy a spine.
00:04:08.680 But I know it's not Jagmeet Singh because he lacks one, too.
00:04:12.380 So, yeah, things change in politics, guys.
00:04:16.640 Things change fast.
00:04:18.460 And, yeah, do you think the polling is going to boomerang back towards conservatives now?
00:04:23.060 It was already going to happen.
00:04:25.120 Get ready for plus 15 conservative territory again because the liberals just had the rug pulled out from under them.
00:04:32.800 I have been loving watching the reaction from liberals.
00:04:36.140 They're just screaming about how much they hate Donald Trump right now, like fever-pitched, mic-peeking, screaming about how much they hate Trump because they know in their bones that what just happened was Trump put a bullet in the back of the liberal campaign's head.
00:04:53.080 And I don't even know who's going to be crazier about this.
00:04:56.200 Either it's going to be the true and on liberals who thought Trudeau was right about everything and they still think he's right, but they also think that Mark Carney's right about everything.
00:05:03.660 Or the PPC Bernier bros who are going to be extremely mad because they were hoping for Trump to endorse the PPC.
00:05:11.980 Guys, it wasn't going to happen.
00:05:14.580 Your party's gone nowhere because you guys have never earned your party going anywhere.
00:05:19.640 You don't try at all.
00:05:20.580 That's the thing that insults me the most about the PPC.
00:05:23.200 Are the PPC better than the conservatives on certain issues?
00:05:25.980 Sure, but the PPC isn't even competing for a seat, so obviously they can sit back and have more pure conservative policy than the conservatives do.
00:05:36.040 But even then, I think that the PPC is highly overrated even on their platform.
00:05:40.740 There's tons of parts of their platform that I think are just absolutely dumb.
00:05:43.960 Like, their stances on foreign policy make no sense, and I find that a lot of what they are attempting to do when it comes to the economy is like, yeah, nice and libertarian, but they never really have a great way of marketing it to where they would actually survive long enough to make those cuts because it seems like they would just say, like, we would storm in there and cut half the budget.
00:06:04.620 It's like, okay, I think we should cut a lot of the budget.
00:06:07.960 How are you going to make this palatable to people so that they understand why you're making the cuts?
00:06:13.200 You know, they could take a page out of Donald Trump's playbook in the U.S. and use Doge in a strategic way to go after extremely silly spending at first so people understand just how insane the waste in government is.
00:06:27.060 But the PPC doesn't do that because they've never really thought about how to market any of their positions to Canadians, so they mostly just sit back and just, you know, chirp the conservatives for not being conservative enough.
00:06:36.760 But, yeah, this video is going to haunt the liberals, and I do not know how they're going to get out of this because they have a leader who has no rhetorical talents at all.
00:06:48.340 So, yeah, what's Carney going to say about this?
00:06:52.060 Probably a lot of ums and ahs.
00:06:54.120 They have no ability to pivot.
00:06:55.380 But, anyways, there's a lot of people now online who are saying this is bad for the conservatives because, oh, the Polyev didn't get the Trump endorsement, and this means a bunch of conservatives are going to abandon him because he's not MAGA.
00:07:06.600 Even if you like Trump, and I generally like Trump, he does good work on most things.
00:07:10.400 I disagree with him on foreign policy a lot of the time.
00:07:13.300 I sometimes disagree with him on fiscal issues.
00:07:15.920 I think his love of tariffs can sometimes be a bit annoying.
00:07:22.300 Why is that playing?
00:07:23.300 I don't like that.
00:07:23.960 But sometimes his love for tariffs can be a little overbearing and whatnot.
00:07:26.680 But I, as somebody who's generally pretty favorable to Trump on a lot of issues, I'm not going to be like, oh, so Trump's not endorsing the conservatives.
00:07:34.180 I'm leaving.
00:07:35.400 I think every single person who generally likes Trump who votes conservative understands that in Canada Trump's not a marketable figure because of how anti-American Canadian politics is.
00:07:46.220 And so they're willing to still vote conservative because they understand, again, the subtext of Trump's talk, that Polyev is a tough guy and he'd rather deal with Gumby himself, who is Mark Carney.
00:07:59.320 So anyways, that's it for me today, guys.
00:08:01.460 Like, subscribe, leave a comment, do all that great stuff.
00:08:04.600 See you tomorrow.
00:08:05.580 For real this time, unless something else crazy breaks and then I have to run it back here and make another video.
