00:00:00.000 Imagine a 30-year-old woman dying slowly, not because one disease suddenly overwhelmed her
00:00:06.340 body, but because her immune system has been weakened year after year. And at first she
00:00:12.740 hardly noticed. She was a little bit weaker here, a little more vulnerable there. An infection her
00:00:17.560 body once overcame in say a day or two now took her down for a week. Then came chronic pain,
00:00:23.980 then dizziness, then ordinary things began to affect her. She couldn't eat what she used to
00:00:30.980 eat. She couldn't stand the heat or the cold. Her defenses were failing. She was in bed more often.
00:00:38.960 She began losing weight. Her color and her face faded. Then she started asking if she was going
00:00:46.060 to survive. People were wondering if she was okay. She wasn't. Everyone knew it. She was headed
00:00:52.760 toward the grave if something didn't change. And I think that's a good metaphor for what's
00:00:59.740 happening to America. For generations, America's immune system was healthy. It was healthy because
00:01:07.220 the American household was healthy. And that is, the health of the family determines the health
00:01:13.760 of the nation. But a household is not automatically a defense. A household contributes to the national
00:01:21.800 immune system only when it's Christian. In fact, when it's pagan, a household can almost act as a 0.95
00:01:29.000 national autoimmune disease that attacks itself. Now, old America was not perfect, but she was 0.96
00:01:37.440 healthy. And that household order, the healthy immune system, produced strong churches and good
00:01:46.780 customs and laws and a clear vision of men and women and moral and wise education and a national
00:01:54.420 culture that the entire world envied. Now, if the family is the national immune system,
00:02:02.880 the church is the national conscience. Now in America, that conscience did more than just
00:02:09.540 convict. It trained. It trained households to love what is good and to hate that which is evil.
00:02:16.560 The church catechized the family, and the family catechized the state.
00:02:23.360 And as a result, sin could not easily survive here in America, because our households had
00:02:30.460 more of these moral antibodies.
00:02:33.800 Our beliefs were not merely political, they were biblical.
00:02:37.440 We believed that marriage was a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and that was a
00:02:44.560 wall against national sexual chaos. We believed that children were a blessing and that fought
00:02:51.000 against childlessness or sterilization or abortion or vasectomies or contraception
00:02:57.060 and the slow suicide of our people. And we believed that a father was the head of his
00:03:03.920 household and a mother had an irreplaceable calling to be in the home. And that guarded us
00:03:11.080 against effeminacy and feminism in our public life. We knew that functional equality was a lie 0.71
00:03:18.760 and that sending women into the workforce, into the military, into law enforcement, 0.90
00:03:24.380 into political power was not progress. It was a road toward national ruin. 1.00
00:03:31.660 And we believed in borders, in peoplehood, in identity, in nationalism. And we believe those
00:03:38.880 things because they were biblical, they were Christian, they were historic. And above all,
00:03:45.540 we believed that Jesus Christ was Lord, not just over the individual, but over the family
00:03:51.420 and the state. And for that reason, Islam and Hinduism and Judaism, they were not treated as
00:04:00.080 equal foundations for public life. They were viewed as really a spiritual infection and were 0.51
00:04:08.220 not permitted to take root in our land. And so the household was America's immune system. The church
00:04:15.640 was America's conscience. And if you remove the Christian household, you don't get national 0.98
00:04:22.800 neutrality. You get a national body with no civilizational protection. And the infections, 0.96
00:04:29.720 they don't negotiate. They see weakness and they start to colonize. Now, historically speaking,
00:04:36.380 America's immune system wasn't ripped out all at once. Like the woman in my opening illustration,
00:04:44.100 it was filed down slowly, year after year, even decade after decade as it pertains to America.
00:04:52.040 Now, first we saw the Bible was made optional in the home and in the school. Then church attendance
00:04:59.020 became decorative. Then marriage became temporary or optional. Then children were unwanted.
00:05:07.360 Ultimately, the home stopped forming the American Christian stock that made this nation so great in 1.00
00:05:15.860 the first place. So America became sick the way a body becomes sick, not from one particular wound, 0.99
00:05:25.440 but from a failing defense over a long period of time. And once the household breaks,
00:05:32.620 the social infections start to multiply. See, weakness invites more threats, okay? Every
00:05:40.460 opportunistic parasite is looking for a body that can no longer fight against it. And it's why 0.90
00:05:48.020 third world are coming into our nation by the millions. It's why we have Jewish supremacy 1.00
00:05:54.240 and manipulation growing with little resistance in our country. That's why Muslims and Hindus 1.00
00:06:00.680 are colonizing our cities. It's why pagans and homosexuals are infiltrating our politics at 1.00
00:06:07.340 every angle. And yes, we must treat every threat. See, the symptoms of this woman 1.00
00:06:17.580 and the symptoms of this nation, you need to deal with the symptoms, but you're never going
00:06:24.560 to overcome the total attack without restoring the immune system. See, in America, the immune
00:06:33.240 system is the Christian household, and that is the work before us. We don't need another round of 1.00
00:06:40.780 polite conservatism, right? Not another decade of pretending the old antibodies will return if we
00:06:48.140 just vote harder. You cannot ballot box your way out of a people that no longer knows what a man
00:06:54.840 is or what a woman is or what a father is or what a foreigner is. Niceties, they're not going to 1.00
00:07:01.620 function here. Compromise will not function here. The infection is already in the blood of our 0.90
00:07:07.900 nation. We need a generation raised to repair the immune system. Not a generation raised to
00:07:15.940 be liked. Not a generation raised to negotiate with what is killing them. A generation that
00:07:22.880 refuses to let evil catechize their souls through screens and schools and markets and
00:07:28.640 perverted language of modern progress, whatever it is. Previous ages could afford a softer
00:07:36.260 hatred of wickedness because wickedness still had to hide. See, but this age that we're living in
00:07:42.580 now, it doesn't hide. It advertises, it recruits, it comes for the children. It's like a rash on
00:07:50.040 the skin of our society. So this generation has to learn a fiercer holiness and a fiercer family life
00:07:59.960 than their grandparents ever needed. To love what God loves, to hate what God hates without
00:08:06.120 apology. And the kind of people that I'm talking about, they're not manufactured in weak, lukewarm
00:08:14.780 households that are tiptoeing in the shallow end of contemporary mega churchianity. It is forged
00:08:22.020 in historic, confessional, deep-rooted Christianity. It's forged in households where 0.67
00:08:29.360 fathers lead the family in devotion and worship, in finance, in vision. Mothers are building the
00:08:39.920 home instead of abandoning it to some career outside exterior desire. Okay, we need catechized 1.00
00:08:47.040 Christian nationalists, okay? We need boys who love and look forward to manhood and that they
00:08:55.540 love the land that they were raised on. We need girls who love femininity and mock the wickedness 1.00
00:09:04.820 of feminism. And yes, at some point, a sick body stops responding to medicine that is topical, 0.98
00:09:14.080 that's only talk. We all in America have hearts for revival, but very few of us have stomachs
00:09:22.380 for revival. The degree of repentance before us is extreme. The amount of recovery and retrieval
00:09:31.220 is hard to comprehend. We need to be reading old books, books before 1900, to remember who we were,
00:09:41.720 how we used to think, what was normal, what was biblical, what was an actual country.
00:09:50.040 And that kind of recovery, it's not going to feel like a branding exercise. It's going to feel like
00:09:56.760 war inside the most ordinary rooms in the country, right? The kitchen, the living room, the bedroom,
00:10:03.540 the pew, the nursery. And because so few men still know how to lead in those places,
00:10:11.260 and so few women know how to follow in those places, the nation will keep getting more and
00:10:18.660 more sick until a people is raised up who can. And so season three here in American Glory is 0.97
00:10:26.820 not about nostalgia. It's not even about commentary. It's about a call to the restoration
00:10:35.680 of the Christian family. We're going to go after the American Christian family. Marriage, 1.00
00:10:44.440 fatherhood, motherhood, childhood, birth control, household government, covenant,
00:10:50.520 inheritance, and the recovery of a nation capable of standing again, getting out of bed,
00:10:59.480 ruling, leading, being restored. So join me starting next week as I begin with season three
00:11:09.380 of American Glory. We're going to start with an episode titled The National Necessity of Marriage.
00:11:20.520 We'll be right back.
