The Christian heritage of the Christian faith is so deep in our nation that it will take a few generations, even generations of utter rebellion against God, for that heritage to dry up. 00:00:00.000 All right, listen, guys, I get it.
00:00:01.900 Many of you are unable to financially support this ministry because you're spending your
00:00:05.900 cash and your lives on raising young children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
00:00:10.740 Praise God for you and that endeavor.
00:00:13.860 However, algorithms are a thing.
00:00:16.380 Shadow banning, sadly, is a thing.
00:00:19.000 And one major way that you can help to expand the reach and effectiveness of this ministry
00:00:24.160 that doesn't cost you a dime is by spending just a few moments leaving us a five-star review.
00:00:31.320 Also, perhaps even more effective than that, you can share our podcast with a friend.
00:00:36.580 We hope you'll take the time to do so. Thank you so much. God bless.
00:00:42.320 Jesus said, man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the
00:00:47.040 mouth of God. You're listening to Daily Truth.
00:00:49.940 god's law matters and any nation that will adhere to god's law over time will be exalted
00:00:59.480 some of you watched the interview that i did with vody bacham a while back he talks about
00:01:06.460 the distinctly christian preamble that was recently adopted to the constitution in zambia
00:01:12.840 but then contrasting that with the christian heritage that we have here in america
00:01:20.920 The Christian heritage is better. 0.65
00:01:24.220 But it's better only today. 1.00
00:01:27.800 It's only better today.
00:01:30.080 Because if you turn your back on the Lord Jesus Christ,
00:01:33.900 well, the heritage will be there for a while.
00:01:36.500 But eventually it will dry up.
00:01:39.660 Now, why can a generation of people completely and publicly and explicitly rebel against God
00:01:47.460 and still reap His blessings?
00:01:50.500 It's not just because of God's mercy, his long-suffering,
00:01:54.900 the fact that he's slow to anger and abundant in love.
00:01:58.280 That's part of it.
00:01:59.780 But it's also because God is just.
00:02:02.880 The reason why a generation of people can forsake the Lord and still receive his benefits
00:02:08.680 is because God is merciful, but also because he's just.
00:02:13.720 What do I mean by him being just?
00:02:16.600 You might say, if you're rebelling against the Lord,
00:02:19.080 the just thing would be for you to reap the consequences.
00:02:23.020 But not, however, if God promised prior generations
00:02:28.140 that He would be faithful to their children.
00:02:32.460 And now it becomes not only a matter of God's mercy and kindness,
00:02:35.500 but His justice.
00:02:36.620 Remember, the Scripture says, God will not be mocked.
00:02:39.140 A man will reap what he sows.
00:02:40.620 If one generation sows and works and plants an entire apple orchard,
00:02:47.680 well, you'll be able to eat the fruit of those trees for a little while.
00:02:53.220 That's not God actually saying, hey, I don't really care about justice.
00:02:57.840 I don't really care about holiness.
00:02:59.640 You can make light of my law.
00:03:01.500 You can make light of my precepts, and you'll still receive good things. 0.75
00:03:05.140 No, that's not God honoring the generation that's rebelling, 0.95
00:03:08.200 that refuses to plant, that refuses to tend the orchard.
00:03:12.000 That's simply God not being mocked,
00:03:14.840 keeping with his promise that a man will reap what he sows.
00:03:18.080 It is God keeping in faithfulness and justice to the prior generation.
00:03:23.140 To the prior generation.
00:03:24.760 That's what it means for a nation to have a Christian heritage.
00:03:28.580 The heritage of the Christian faith is so deep in our nation
00:03:33.060 that it will take a few generations,
00:03:36.780 even generations of utter rebellion against God,
00:03:41.240 it will still require a few generations
00:03:44.500 for that heritage to completely dry up.
00:03:48.700 Without tending the orchard at all,
00:03:51.420 there will still be apples
00:03:52.960 because that orchard is so strong and so deep
00:03:56.760 and so many trees in the past were planted and tended well.
00:04:00.760 There will be apples for multiple generations
00:04:03.200 and there will be multiple generations of people
00:04:05.780 getting to enjoy apples while hating orchards.
00:04:10.680 And that doesn't just speak to the mercy of God
00:04:13.300 because those who hate orchards
00:04:14.720 certainly don't deserve to have apples.
00:04:17.720 So it is merciful, but it's not just the mercy of God,
00:04:20.620 it speaks to the justice of God.
00:04:24.400 That God doesn't just come in and burn up the orchard
00:04:27.200 at the first sign of rebellion.
00:04:30.100 that the hard work of faithfulness in past generations
00:04:34.720 will continue to last until it dries up.
00:04:40.360 And so in that sense, the heritage, the Christian heritage of America
00:04:44.220 supersedes a Christian preamble in Zambia. 1.00
00:04:50.960 Today, you would rather be here, 0.86
00:04:53.540 even as the White House is lit up with the pride flag colors, 1.00
00:05:00.960 Better to live here than to live in Zambia. 0.96
00:05:04.860 My point, though, is to say, give it 200 years.
00:05:12.140 Zambia is planting apple trees.
00:05:16.020 And apple trees take a while to grow.
00:05:19.520 So no, there's not a lot of apples there.
00:05:22.320 Not today.
00:05:23.180 But if we stick with our path here, and by God's grace, they stick with theirs over there, then in 200 years, well, that's why.
00:05:36.580 Right now, you kind of cast your bread seven times on the water, not knowing which will return.
00:05:42.800 There's a biblical principle for diversifying when it comes to investments.
00:05:47.000 So I was going to have the grandchildren Zambia fund saving for that just in case.
00:05:52.020 Well, now it's going to be, you know, 50-50 between, you know, the Zambia and Uganda fund, right?
00:05:56.980 Because both are great options.
00:05:59.140 Not today, but they have a lot of promise, a lot of potential.
00:06:04.860 Because at the end of the day, God's word is true.
00:06:07.540 The nation that fears the Lord will be exalted.
00:06:13.020 Doesn't matter what color their skin is.
00:06:17.220 the only reason why the west has been blessed by god is because of the gospel of jesus christ
00:06:24.900 that took root all the way from king alfred till today and god can do it with anyone he wants
00:06:35.120 in fact that's what we see in the scripture is it sometimes what the lord will do in order to bring
00:06:42.040 low, the haughty, the proud, is that the Lord will actually raise up someone else, someone who is a
00:06:50.040 nobody, just to show that it's not about the man. It's not about the people. It's not about the
00:06:59.080 nation. It's about the Lord. It's about the Lord. Sometimes God will do it, not even with another
00:07:06.660 people. But sometimes God will, just to prove his point, show that he can garnish glory for himself
00:07:14.760 with inanimate objects. And if you don't praise me, the rocks will cry out.
00:07:23.240 One, because God will receive praise one way or another. But two, the rocks will cry out as an
00:07:30.840 indictment of god's image-bearing creatures who chose to rebel
00:07:36.660 fight by flight why leaving godless places is loving godless places i've had a lot of people
00:07:46.920 tell me recently pastor joel you're post-millennial you claim to believe that jesus is king of every
00:07:53.960 square inch but apparently you don't think he's king of california because i've heard your personal
00:07:58.820 story that you used to be a pastor there and that you left for the state of texas notice the title
00:08:05.480 not fight or flight but fight by flight think of the prodigal son he comes to the end of his rope
00:08:13.620 he's longing to be fed with the pods given to the pigs and the parable says no one gave him anything
00:08:20.980 no member of the father's house tracked him down to give him a handout he was hurting he had to 0.98
00:08:28.760 lie in the bed that he had made for himself by his foolish choices. You know what the next words in
00:08:34.940 that parable are? No one gave him anything, and he came to his senses. He began to repent. There
00:08:43.260 are 10 million professing Christians currently living in the state of California. What if
00:08:49.040 they're fighting, but at the same time, while well-intentioned, they're also funding? What if
00:08:55.500 california could be brought to its knees simply by the faithful not fighting there but leaving
00:09:01.700 there and forcing gavin newsom and other tyrants like him to actually have to take a spoonful of
