00:04:00.000 hello everybody welcome to shadow at night this is friday april the 4th 2025 on the show tonight
00:04:14.240 is mark carney a chinese asset this is something i've been saying for the past couple of months
00:04:21.800 now and the evidence just continues to pour out there's an article from black locks reporter came
00:04:26.660 out late yesterday picked up by the western standard and other media outlets not corporate
00:04:32.140 not left-wing corporate media because they won't touch this although one did today one left-wing
00:04:37.900 media corporate reporter asked mark carney if hiding funds brookfield funds in bermuda in a
00:04:47.100 storefront bike shop while legal is ethical and he avoided the question like he does and he did it
00:04:53.980 with a look of, hmm, it's hard to describe, hate, maybe.
00:05:09.000 He was not happy with that question whatsoever,
00:05:11.500 and his eyes said it all in that moment, in that moment.
00:05:16.160 And I'm going to play you a clip in just a couple of minutes
00:05:18.640 where there is a moment where Mark Carney shows who he is
00:05:23.780 and it goes back about four or five years.
00:05:28.120 It's between Polyev and Carney
00:05:30.720 when they were in committee
00:05:31.960 discussing Brookfield Asset Management's holdings in China.
00:05:36.240 The Shadow at Night livestream is brought to you

00:05:52.540 canada nanosilver.com is amazing it has several natural health benefits and it's been used for
00:05:58.380 hundreds of years for health and healing that's the main reason they made silverware from silver
00:06:03.420 but seriously this nano silver from silverseuticals is the best and safest silver you can find
00:06:08.380 there are hundreds of studies and reports on it i've read some of the studies myself and it's
00:06:12.540 mind-blowing one of the things that sets silverseuticals apart is that it washes out of your
00:06:16.780 your body in 24 hours no silver buildup and no turning blue and it won't even
00:06:21.700 harm the good bacteria your body needs it's so effective they can use very
00:06:25.900 small concentrations of silver like 10 and 32 parts per million and still
00:06:30.400 outperform other silvers that have up to 3,000 parts per million it's safer and
00:06:35.080 more effective at the same time it is an incredibly small particle that is small
00:06:39.740 enough to work through your body but big enough not to fall out of suspension
00:06:43.180 they infuse it into almost all of their products it works in facial serums toothpaste gels and even
00:06:48.760 gummies that work to help your immune system all right this weekend at the national women's show

00:08:18.700 thank you guys for being here don't forget to like and share get this out to as many many people as
00:08:24.000 you possibly can okay here is that story that tells us that mark carney's deep involvement
00:08:29.960 with china is not only long but very very recent and deep look at this story here from western
00:08:37.980 standard sorry this is the uh globe and mail we'll get to that in just a second there's the
00:08:43.160 western standard story mark carney only weeks before seeking the liberal leadership lobbied
00:08:49.040 beijing's mayor to deepen cooperation according to official chinese records i wonder why china
00:08:56.100 would release records like that.
00:08:59.120 They knew it wouldn't be good for Carney,
00:09:01.060 and they want Carney in that prime minister's chair.
00:09:04.620 Carney, on October 20th,
00:09:07.280 lobbied the Beijing mayor as chair of Brookfield Asset Management.
00:09:10.700 Well, I'm no longer with Brookfield Asset Management.
00:09:14.140 I've pointed that out several times.
00:09:16.020 I've divested all of my...
00:09:18.700 You've heard him say it.
00:09:20.840 According to an official account
00:09:22.520 by the People's Government of Beijing,
00:09:24.120 disclosed Wednesday by the
00:09:26.100 Epoch Times. Carney, the long-time
00:09:28.140 economic advisor to Trudeau,
00:09:30.940 sought to explore growth
00:09:32.200 potential of investing in China.
00:09:34.660 Yet, according to Blacklock's
00:09:36.340 reporter, Cabinet at the
00:09:38.240 time had censured the Chinese Communist
00:09:40.380 Party for unfair trade
00:09:42.200 practices that would cripple
00:09:43.820 our own industry. And they've
00:09:46.220 also slapped major tariffs on us
00:09:48.380 as of last October as well.
00:09:50.340 I wonder if Carney's conversation
00:09:52.180 with the Chinese
00:09:53.020 didn't go so well foreign guests express strong confidence in the development prospects and
00:09:59.740 growth potential of investing in china said the official account from beijing's government which
00:10:04.200 was issued three days after the private talk carney highlighted brookfield asset management's
00:10:10.660 keen interest in seizing development opportunities in china further expanding its business in beijing
00:10:15.960 and deepening cooperation with relevant partners in areas such as green finance
00:10:21.340 fund management and infrastructure investments at the mayor's office the mayor of beijing's office
00:10:27.180 the meeting came only days after the liberal cabinet on october 1st imposed 100 percent
00:10:33.940 tariffs on chinese electric vehicles in retaliation for predatory trade practices
00:10:38.360 the reality is china has an intentional state-directed policy of overcapacity
00:10:45.200 and oversupply designed to cripple our own industry.
00:10:48.800 That from Christia Freeland at the time.
00:10:52.460 We simply will not allow that to happen to our electric vehicle sector,
00:10:56.200 which is showing such promise,
00:10:57.700 and in which we have heavily invested.
00:11:02.580 Of course, Canada needs to be ready for all manner of reactions,
00:11:05.260 and we are.
00:11:06.120 Of course, we'll take on China just like we'll take on the Americans,
00:11:08.880 because elbows up, everybody.
00:11:11.160 Elbows up, everybody.
00:11:13.380 Carney, selected by the Liberals March 9th as party leader
00:11:16.580 and by default replacing Trudeau as prime minister,
00:11:19.180 made no mention of lobbying the mayor of Beijing.
00:11:22.080 You've got to understand where China is, where China is going,
00:11:27.060 whether there is any room for partnership in that.
00:11:30.320 Carney told reporters March 26th,
00:11:32.280 they haven't changed their path at all, China.
00:11:35.760 Years.
00:11:37.980 They want global dominance.
00:11:41.560 Full stop.
00:11:42.400 look i am beholden to absolutely no one except the canadian people i'm here for the canadian
00:11:49.040 people oh really is that why you haven't lived here in how long 12 years and then you came for
00:11:56.060 a brief pit stop as the the bank of canada governor and then you went yeah is it your
00:12:02.960 belief we should be increasing our trade with china asked a reporter look here's my view on
00:12:07.100 this broader set of issues replied carney we need to diversify our trade as a country we're over
00:12:12.760 reliant on the united states i think it's a lesson we've all learned
00:12:16.140 people have been screaming that at you for the past 10 years and you started canceling pipelines
00:12:25.340 and tanker bans oh no no don't worry we got this we're canadians the liberal leader then said
00:12:34.160 He considered China an unsuitable substitute for American buyers.
00:12:37.700 We want to diversify with like-minded partners, he said.
00:12:40.680 There are partners that we can build deeper ties with.
00:12:43.060 Now, he's talking about Europe there, obviously.
00:12:45.480 That was his first trip after becoming prime minister just a couple of weeks ago.
00:12:50.640 But the partners in Asia that share our values don't include China.
00:12:56.160 Hmm.
00:12:57.500 Interesting he should say that now.
00:12:59.560 There are certain activities we could have with China.
00:13:01.980 We obviously do have a large amount of trade with them, but we have to be very careful, very deliberate, and they need to meet Canadian standards.
00:13:10.040 Here is Pierre, sorry, Mark Carney being grilled by Pierre Polyev at committee over Zoom, of course, because, you know, it was COVID times back in May of 2021 when he was still the chair of Brookfield Asset Management.
00:13:26.640 Watch.
00:13:27.200 Your CEO says that a third of Brookfield's business will be in China within 25 years.
00:13:33.000 China is the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases in the world.
00:13:37.560 Why are you moving your resources and your capital to a country that has such intense emissions of greenhouse gases when that's the opposite of what you state is your purpose?
00:13:46.780 Well, to be clear on the specific, my role at Brookfield, which is to develop a strategy, which we are developing, which is to invest in companies, remove and eliminate greenhouse gases.
00:14:02.040 So that's the impact, that's the transition approach.
00:14:05.160 So what one does in that situation, if you may follow, is you go to where the emissions are and you convert dirty activities to green activities.
00:14:16.040 And, in fact, this is the, I believed, when I accepted the invitation, was the focus of this committee, is how we could do it for Canada.
00:14:24.280 And so Brookfield is working.
00:14:26.520 So anyway, I don't think I'm getting an answer here.
00:14:30.040 If I may, if I may, you keep representing.
00:14:31.960 You've had plenty of time, sir.
00:14:34.440 Can I please go on to my next question?
00:14:36.320 Actually, I wouldn't mind, rather than having your characterization of what I do, being allowed to do what I do, the facts of what I do and what my responsibilities are.
00:14:47.380 And my responsibilities at Brookfield are developing a transition fund, which we think will be world-leading, which is to help companies around the world to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
00:15:02.960 final final question a final question an ethical way thank you do you believe that the chinese
00:15:09.460 government is perpetrating a genocide on the uyghur people okay here watch uh
00:15:15.660 we're gonna go back an ethical way thank you like carney's looking at him saying why did you
00:15:25.000 ask me that you know i can't answer that and you asked me anyway that's exactly what his face says
00:15:31.080 there and polyev absolutely knew he was going to catch him and carney was woefully unprepared
00:15:38.040 and he gives that face watch again do you believe that the chinese government is perfect
00:15:44.280 perpetrating a genocide on the uyghur people uh
00:15:52.360 put shareholder profits aside and just focus on humanity he can't answer it i can't answer
00:16:01.080 or no uh i'm deeply concerned by the situation you're concerned yes or no thank you very much
00:16:07.240 mr paliev unfortunately shareholders first protecting the profits thank you very much
00:16:12.040 mr paliev he wouldn't call it a genocide even though that's the textbook definition of what it
00:16:21.320 is all right does mark carney pose a threat to national unity the left-wing corporate media on
00:16:29.880 x today we're all over this op-ed by preston manning which was published in the globe and mail
00:16:35.840 uh who said this one of the guys from the toronto star i think said oh right so if you don't get
00:16:42.700 your way you're just going to take your ball and go home and not play anymore right my response
00:16:47.260 was simply this the west has been playing a rigged game for decades and it's time to step out if the
00:16:56.200 refs are all against you and the other team is winning by eight touchdowns and you have absolutely
00:17:01.620 no chance because whenever you do complete a pass it gets called back because illegal procedure or 0.93
00:17:08.400 some other ridiculous stupid penalty it's time to go it's time to go but the question is does
00:17:18.340 alberta have the support to pull that off that is the question there's a lot of assumptions going on 0.97
00:17:23.580 right now about alberta independence and i think it's a great idea especially if the liberals win
00:17:29.920 this election but does alberta have that support to make it happen 37 in the latest poll and i
00:17:39.020 believe that that support is going to go up but will it touch 50 what they need is 50.1 percent
00:17:46.080 to make this happen.
00:17:47.640 Just like the Quebec referendum
00:17:49.040 in 95 it was.
00:17:52.340 51, sorry, 50.1%.
00:17:55.140 Mark Carney poses a threat
00:17:57.180 to national unity,
00:17:58.280 an op-ed written by Preston Manning.
00:18:01.220 Because of the vastness
00:18:02.660 of Canada's territory,
00:18:04.600 the differing interests
00:18:05.520 of its various regions,
00:18:06.940 the abundance of competing
00:18:08.060 economic and social interests,
00:18:09.680 and the weakened state
00:18:10.640 of democratic instruments
00:18:11.800 for reconciling conflicting interests,
00:18:14.180 National unity will be a perpetual challenge for whomever we choose to form our national government.
00:18:22.560 Recent pollings by Polaris Strategic Insights show a temporary decline in support for secession in Quebec,
00:18:28.220 but paradoxically, support for the separatist party Quebecois remains high.
00:18:34.480 Were the PQ to win the next provincial election in Quebec is predicted,
00:18:38.120 it has promised to hold another referendum on secession.
00:18:41.300 And so the next federal government, no matter who forms it, will be faced yet again with a challenge to national unity on the Quebec front.
00:18:49.420 But whether politicians, the media, or voters in central Canada, and that would be Ontario and Quebec.
00:18:56.740 Not the whole provinces, just the areas around the Great Lakes.
00:19:01.180 That is central Canada, or that's how it's recognized in central Canada.
00:19:06.980 We Manitobans like to think we're central Canada, like right in the middle of the country.
00:19:11.300 Anyway, whether these people realize it or not, the greatest future threat to national unity is emerging not from Quebec but on the Western Front, again revealed by the recent Polaris survey.
00:19:23.320 On account of the mismanagement of national affairs for the past decade by the Liberal government and its consistent failure to address those issues of greatest concern to Western Canadians,
00:19:33.040 large numbers of Westerners simply will not stand for another four years of Liberal government, no matter who leads it.
00:19:39.700 The support for Western secession is therefore growing, unabated, and even fueled by liberal promises to reverse many of their previous positions.
00:19:49.120 Such promises of expediency simply don't ring true in the West.
00:19:53.760 Who, except the most politically naive, would believe Mark Carney's promise is to reverse the liberal positions on everything from East-West pipelines to identity politics and climate change?
00:20:05.340 when standing behind him is a cabinet of 23 MPs
00:20:09.320 who just a month ago were advocating for the very opposite
00:20:12.860 and have done so for years.
00:20:15.740 The bottom-up support for Western secession,
00:20:18.920 another one of those populist movements
00:20:20.480 that Central Canada has never anticipated or understood,
00:20:23.680 is currently centered on Alberta and Saskatchewan,
00:20:26.440 but it has the potential to spread to most of B.C.,
00:20:30.580 Manitoba, and the adjacent territories,
00:20:32.680 depending on how organized it is and led.
00:20:36.340 And this time, unlike the late 1980s,
00:20:39.520 there is no reform party to redirect that populist energy
00:20:42.800 in a West-wants-in direction.
00:20:45.140 So what can be done?
00:20:47.780 There's two suggested actions,
00:20:49.540 the first by voters in Central and Atlantic Canada
00:20:51.960 and the second by Western political leaders.
00:20:55.020 Voters, particularly in Central and Atlantic Canada,
00:20:58.320 need to recognize that a vote for the Kearney Liberals
00:21:01.060 is a vote for Western secession,
00:21:03.140 a vote for the breakup of Canada as we know it.
00:21:08.060 If you couldn't care less about the concerns or actions of Western Canada,
00:21:11.920 then ignore this unsolicited advice.
00:21:14.820 But understand that separation of the resources-based economic engine
00:21:18.280 of Western Canada from what's left of the rest of Canada
00:21:21.520 will have a dire economic and social consequences for the latter.
00:21:26.680 Impact. Forgot the word impact.
00:21:28.820 secondly western political leaders need to provide a mechanism for recognizing
00:21:33.600 and addressing the growing support for western secession in an orderly and democratic manner
00:21:38.940 so that its support and leadership are not surrendered to extremists or eccentrics for
00:21:43.360 lack of thoughtful consideration of how best to proceed initially this mechanism need not
00:21:49.440 be a western secession party after the quebec model of the party or bloc quebecois oops
00:21:54.720 she's surprised too but rather a democratic forum to first consider various alternative
00:22:03.560 courses of action for example consideration should be given to organizing a canada west
00:22:09.000 constitutional conference as soon as possible after the federal election with a flexible agenda
00:22:13.960 and the backing of at least one provincial government hello danielle smith and scott mo
00:22:20.140 You know, the NDP, Wab Canoe, and David Eby in B.C. won't be interested in that whatsoever because they're elbows up.
00:22:28.760 If there is a genuinely new federal government after April 28th, then the agenda of that conference should be twofold.
00:22:35.940 First, to constructively address ways and means of co-opting with that government to redress the damage done to Western Canada
00:22:43.020 by a decade of liberal neglect and misrule.
00:22:46.180 and second, to consider how best to negotiate new and better Canada-U.S. trade relations.
00:22:52.140 But if the Liberals, employing the fear of U.S. President Donald Trump
00:22:55.580 to secure the support of easily frightened voters, should be returned to office,
00:23:00.920 then the agenda of the conference should be to consider ways and means of peacefully seceding.
00:23:07.320 The next Prime Minister of Canada, if it remains Mark Carney,
00:23:10.920 would then be identified in the history books, tragically and needlessly,
00:23:14.540 as the last prime minister of a united Canada.
00:23:23.660 Heavy words from Preston Manning.
00:23:25.960 And here is Mark Carney talking about the Canada-U.S. relationship.
00:23:30.680 I will be working hard for the next month to earn the right to represent Canada in those discussions,
00:23:36.200 to get the best deal for Canada.
00:23:38.420 Notice, you know, he says today that he'll be working hard to become the next prime minister,
00:23:42.960 to be the one to sit down in those conversations.
00:23:45.420 But yesterday he said,
00:23:46.640 yeah, and he and I are going to get together after the election
00:23:49.040 like he had already won it.
00:23:51.440 So this time he's very careful with his words.
00:23:53.520 Under the new U.S. approach.
00:23:56.540 At the same time,
00:23:58.800 Canada must be looking elsewhere
00:24:00.700 to expand our trade,
00:24:02.680 to build our economy,
00:24:03.740 and to protect our sovereignty.
00:24:06.720 Canada is ready to take a leadership role
00:24:08.980 in building a coalition of like-minded countries
00:24:11.460 who share our values we believe in international cooperation we believe in
00:24:19.280 the free and open exchange of goods services and ideas and if the United
00:24:24.760 States no longer wants to lead Canada will really Canada will you know we'd 0.97
00:24:39.220 F up a one-car funeral right now with these clowns in power. Canada will not be leading 0.97
00:24:44.640 anybody or anything anywhere until we get our house straightened away, if in fact that ever
00:24:51.420 happens. Pierre Polyev, what did he say about national unity? What did he say about Western
00:24:58.940 separation? Well, here he's promoting, according to the CBC, promoting unity after ex-reform leader
00:25:04.400 And Preston Manning warns a Kearney win will fuel Western secession.
00:25:08.000 What is he supposed to say, for goodness sakes?
00:25:11.940 Is he supposed to say, yeah, I can see it.
00:25:15.320 I can absolutely see Alberta separating.
00:25:17.420 If he wants to win any seats at all in Ontario and Quebec and become the next prime minister,
00:25:23.460 then he's got to pander to them because, sadly, that's where all the seats are.
00:25:28.500 So, of course, he's all about national unity right now.
00:25:31.540 And he's all about dealing with Donald Trump because he has to be.
00:25:34.320 He was put into a very, thrust into a very difficult political situation.
00:25:38.540 I think he's handled it okay, because to be honest with you, 0.94
00:25:42.400 I don't believe half the crap he's saying regarding the U.S. stuff.
00:25:48.200 I think, and he's successfully managed to bring his message back 0.97
00:25:53.280 to being that Canada needs to stand on its own two feet
00:25:56.980 and deal with the United States from a position of strength.
00:26:00.780 And you don't hear Mark Carney saying that.
00:26:04.020 You don't, what do you hear Jagmeet Singh saying?
00:26:07.260 Free, free Palestine.
00:26:10.360 Good God.
00:26:11.960 Now, they're saying there were 6,500 people at the Paliyev rally in Oshawa yesterday in an airplane hangar.
00:26:19.480 I'm skeptical of all of the numbers that we're hearing about the attendance at Paliyev rally
00:26:24.400 simply because I was at one, well, kind of, last weekend, last Saturday,
00:26:28.240 and they said 3,500, I'd say closer to 1,500,
00:26:31.640 maybe 2,000 at the outside, but certainly not 3,500.
00:26:35.680 Anyway, it's still a good number
00:26:37.880 and much better than the liberals have been able to muster.
00:26:40.600 But having said that, look at this,
00:26:43.400 the crowd in Oshawa yesterday singing O Canada.
00:26:46.720 Now you tell me if this is 6,000 or not.
00:26:48.700 Our home and native man
00:26:56.440 True native love
00:27:01.080 In all our sons command
00:27:05.780 With broken hearts we see
00:27:10.740 The true Lord strong and free
00:27:15.200 God, Lord, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
00:27:26.200 God, keep our land, glory us and free.
00:27:35.200 O Canada, we stand on guard for Thee, O Canada, we stand on guard for Thee.
00:28:05.200 Well, I'll tell you what, that's a hell of a lot of people singing the right version of our national anthem.
00:28:19.160 I'm not sure if it's 6,500, but it's still a lot of people.
00:28:25.220 Maybe it's 5,000.
00:28:28.020 Whatever the number, Polyev is drawing supporters to every single appearance he makes across this country.
00:28:35.680 Mark Carney can't draw flies.
00:28:38.300 So tell me again, all you pollsters out there, who is leading?
00:28:43.900 And the methodology you're using and who are you talking to?
00:28:47.080 You know, I got in this past week, I got three phone calls from numbers I didn't recognize.
00:28:52.180 And I'm thinking, hmm, I wonder if that's a pollster.
00:28:54.220 Maybe I should answer it.
00:28:56.060 But I didn't.
00:28:57.620 I don't think conservative people really care about answering calls from an unknown number.
00:29:02.920 but the people they're talking to and what we're hearing is that they're 65 and 70 plus and i'm not
00:29:10.260 talking about any of you guys watching right now because if you're here you're probably not voting
00:29:14.100 liberal right right um but most of the liberal support is coming from those who are early boomers
00:29:26.240 and i don't know if it's because they believe in mark carney or if it's because they've just
00:29:34.340 always voted liberal and they can't see themselves voting any other way because their mothers voted
00:29:39.440 liberal and their fathers voted liberal and their grandparents voted liberal and blah blah blah blah
00:29:44.120 and they like the cbc you know the cbc is the worst rated television network in canada not
00:29:52.660 saying much because there's only three right but they don't get any ratings their radio does
00:29:58.780 but not their tv and so pierre polyev wants to defund the cbc he didn't say destroy the cbc
00:30:07.720 he didn't say eliminate the cbc all he's ever said is we're going to defund the cbc here is
00:30:15.320 mark carney talking about what he wants to do with the cbc canada's identity and institutions
00:30:21.780 are under attack by foreign interference.
00:30:26.240 And instead of defending him,
00:30:28.620 Pierre Paulyev is following President Trump's lead
00:30:31.320 and taking aim at our institutions like CBC, Radio Canada.
00:30:37.940 Pierre Paulyev pretends that you can keep one but not the other.
00:30:42.760 But he's not Solomon.
00:30:44.800 You can't split this baby.
00:30:47.600 His attack on CBC is an attack directly on Radio Canada.
00:30:51.780 and it is an attack on our Canadian identity.
00:30:56.420 If elected, my government will take action to enshrine and protect and strengthen CBC Radio Canada for generations to come.
00:31:06.760 We will modernize the mandate of our public broadcaster.
00:31:09.640 We will give it the resources it needs to fulfill its renewed mission
00:31:13.980 and ensure that its future is guided by all Canadians
00:31:17.920 and not subject to the whims of a small group of people led by ideology.
00:31:23.960 When it comes to this most important of Canadian institutions,
00:31:27.800 all Canadians should have their say, not just a small group.
00:31:33.040 We will not only increase CBC Radio Canada's funding by $150 million,
00:31:37.340 but we will also make this funding statutory,
00:31:41.540 meaning that Parliament as a whole will need to approve any future changes to its funding,
00:31:46.540 not just the Cabinet.
00:31:47.920 By strengthening our public broadcaster, we're protecting our identity and our culture and helping it to shine around the world.
00:31:56.660 We're making Canada strong.
00:32:00.540 Our plan will safeguard a reliable Canadian public square in a sea of misinformation and disinformation.
00:32:09.860 So we can stay informed and tell our own stories in our own languages.
00:32:13.260 Our plan will not only strengthen CBC Radio Canada, it will strengthen our communities that rely on it.
00:32:21.320 It will make Canada strong.
00:32:26.300 Let me see.
00:32:28.360 It's been around forever, the CBC.
00:32:32.880 Canada is as weak as it's ever been right now.
00:32:36.500 And somehow, by giving it more money of yours and of mine, it will make Canada strong.
00:32:51.900 Ironically, an old interview from CBC with Carney's dad popped up yesterday,
00:32:58.560 in which he calls Indigenous children culturally retarded.
00:33:06.500 it goes back to 1965 so i'm not a big one for going back in time and blaming somebody for 0.97
00:33:16.280 being a victim of the time they live in of course not that's ridiculous that's what the marxists do 0.97
00:33:21.740 right he used the n-word in 1895 oh my god he's such a racist 0.84
00:33:27.280 i do not believe in going back and changing history however which is what the marxists
00:33:35.600 want to do as well but we're going to listen to this interview this robert carney interview
00:33:41.480 who by the way was a teacher in residential schools back in the day
00:33:46.180 and then you tell me if mark carney should have to answer for it or not
00:33:52.560 listen to this at the teachers conference not long ago you told about a program you have working at
00:34:00.940 the Joseph B. Terrell School in Fort Smith for culturally retarded children. First of all,
00:34:07.340 would you define a culturally retarded child for me?
00:34:12.060 A culturally retarded child, in the context of the Northwest Territories, is a child
00:34:17.820 from a native background who, for various reasons, has not been in regular attendance in school.
00:34:24.060 is from a language background other than English, and who is behind in school, say, three or four
00:34:32.620 years. In many centers, in southern Canada, we would, the subculture groups, say, in a working
00:34:40.180 class area of a large city, you would have children who you would call culturally retarded,
00:34:44.860 certainly in the United States, in the large cities, and particularly in the eastern United
00:34:49.540 States among Negro groups. We have many examples of cultural retardation and programs that have
00:34:56.660 been developed to meet their needs, to try and upgrade their skills, and bring them into contact
00:35:02.740 with the dominant culture. Could you tell me then a little bit about your program,
00:35:09.220 how it got started? Well, the program actually has been, I suppose, in operation right from the very
00:35:15.140 beginning. Now in Fort Smith we have students coming to us from many northern
00:35:21.260 communities, and these students, we have found, many of these students were behind
00:35:27.760 in school three, four, five, and six years. To put a 16 year old girl in a grade,
00:35:34.460 into a regular grade two classroom, we found it just didn't work, and that we
00:35:41.860 really weren't meeting the educational needs of the child in this type of class
00:35:46.960 environment. And so we established a number of classes, which we've given the
00:35:52.840 name special classes for one, probably of a better word, and these classes are
00:35:58.240 structured in such a way that the academic skills that are so important to
00:36:04.980 any child living in the 20th century, that these skills are taught in an
00:36:10.220 appropriate manner and at the same time we realize because of this cultural
00:36:15.500 retardation that many of these children will not progress through the regular
00:36:19.940 grade structure they will not go into high school and in all probability they
00:36:23.840 will return to their own communities remain with their families and go out
00:36:28.040 into the bush and continue the old way of life so we're trying to keep them in
00:36:32.660 both worlds now the regular curriculum is modified for them we want them to be
00:36:39.280 able to read, we want them to be able to speak English, we want them to be able to
00:36:42.820 do the various operations in arithmetic, we want them to know about the world, we
00:36:47.800 want them to know about the world of science, we want them to have the
00:36:52.720 opportunity of expression in music and art, we want them to learn various
00:36:56.740 skills and physical physical education and so on, but at the same time we want
00:37:01.240 them to not forget their origins or not to forget their backgrounds and to
00:37:07.120 to instill in them a sense of pride and a sense of belonging.
00:37:11.040 That the culture from which they come is a good culture.
00:37:15.700 And that if they do go back to the old way of life,
00:37:18.600 they go back with skills which will help them in the old way of life.
00:37:24.220 Okay, so what is he saying there?
00:37:28.040 First of all, remember, it's 1965,
00:37:29.820 so the expression cultural retardation shouldn't mean anything to anybody.
00:37:36.140 All right?
00:37:36.500 It just shouldn't.
00:37:38.820 That was an expression they used back then.
00:37:41.920 What I got out of that was that Mark Carney's dad was a teacher or a principal at a residential school
00:37:49.180 who believed in that system deeply and thought it was good.
00:37:54.320 And he also appreciated the First Nations children that were going and the culture they came from.
00:38:01.780 That's what it sounds like to me.
00:38:03.300 he was in favor of the residential school system.
00:38:08.600 Very, very much so.
00:38:11.500 Now, today, if you're in favor of the residential school system,
00:38:16.160 you're smeared.
00:38:18.200 There's a conservative candidate called Aaron Gunn.
00:38:21.300 You guys know him as a cinematographer
00:38:25.260 and a documentary maker.
00:38:29.140 He's running for the CPC in B.C.,
00:38:31.540 and the calls are getting louder for him to step down
00:38:34.340 for things he said about residential schools.
00:38:36.280 We'll get to that story in just a second.
00:38:38.480 Here is a piece from Terry Newman on the National Post.
00:38:41.820 It says, CBC unfairly attacks CBC because, of course,
00:38:46.640 it's all about the residential schools, and you're a denier.
00:38:50.600 CBC unfairly attacks Kearney's father.
00:38:52.800 Robert Kearney was a day school principal
00:38:54.740 who cared about indigenous education.
00:38:58.340 That's what I got out of it.
00:39:01.540 so should and should mark carney have to answer for the evils if that's what they are of his father
00:39:09.380 no that was his father i'm not sure if mark carney believes in the same thing who knows
00:39:17.300 with marxists it's weird because their whole philosophy can not always but can go back
00:39:25.460 generations. It's instilled in them from the time they're babies, right? Like Manchurian candidates
00:39:32.820 where they absolutely are groomed for a role that they're going to play later on in life.
00:39:38.440 I'm not sure if that's the situation with Mark Carney. I would love to know about the rise of
00:39:43.700 Mark Carney, to be honest with you. How did he get from the Northwest Territories all the way
00:39:50.140 to Davos to become a key member of the World Economic Forum? We have news on that coming up
00:39:55.060 in just a second as well in terms of close schwab uh this story is from the delta optimist demand
00:40:01.860 rises for removal of north island powell river candidates so let's go down here and see oh look
00:40:07.400 there's aaron gunn and i'm sure you guys can appreciate the stuff he's put out in the last
00:40:13.100 few years calls for the conservative party of canada to remove aaron gunn as its candidate
00:40:19.140 in north island powell river are coming from first nations national party leaders and two
00:40:24.120 other candidates running locally. Well, if that's the situation, then maybe they should be calling
00:40:28.340 for the removal of Mark Carney, whose father was a residential school fan.
00:40:35.840 On April 3rd, First Nations Leadership Council issued a media release about previous comments
00:40:40.820 made by Gunn on social media. The FNLC is joining calls for the Conservative Party to drop Aaron
00:40:46.940 Gunn, the candidate for North Island Powell River, due to his horrific and offensive posts on X
00:40:52.820 between 2019 and 2021 refuting that indigenous people faced a genocide in Canada
00:40:59.040 and that residential schools were asked for by indigenous bands, the release stated.
00:41:09.480 Why would he refute something that is true?
00:41:14.820 It's true.
00:41:18.280 Such attitudes are extremely harmful and divisive
00:41:21.120 and should not be held by those in public office.
00:41:23.280 Yeah, they should.
00:41:23.980 Everybody's allowed an opinion.
00:41:26.540 Sorry, chief.
00:41:29.120 We continue to stand with residential school survivors
00:41:31.900 and their families and communities.
00:41:33.800 We know the well-documented truths of what happened
00:41:36.420 and we're grateful to them
00:41:37.400 for continuing to bravely share their stories.
00:41:39.920 They only cover the one side of it
00:41:41.520 and they don't want to hear about anything other.
00:41:44.720 And if you say something else
00:41:46.780 and there's all kinds of people,
00:41:48.180 especially in British Columbia,
00:41:49.420 who have been vilified for this stuff,
00:41:51.400 then you are a denier! 0.99
00:41:55.900 It's ridiculous, to be honest. 0.99
00:41:58.440 And if Pierre Polyev decides to drop Aaron Gunn
00:42:01.420 from his candidate roster over this,
00:42:03.940 I will be very, very, very, very disappointed.
00:42:11.640 Speaking of Polyev, he said something that was,
00:42:14.880 I thought, funny yesterday.
00:42:17.940 and the liberals, of course, were all over it on social media.
00:42:20.520 He said, women's biological clocks are ticking.
00:42:24.000 And they went, oh, my God, he said biological clock.
00:42:27.180 How dare he mansplain to me?
00:42:30.100 They were all over it.
00:42:31.500 But ultimately, his comments were, once again, absolutely reasonable
00:42:36.000 if you listen to them in the full context.
00:42:38.720 So this story comes from Juno News.
00:42:41.980 Polyev's biological clock comments based in facts.
00:42:46.320 The legacy media attacked Polyev after he referred to millennial couples
00:42:50.140 who were foregoing having children due to Canada's housing crisis
00:42:53.260 and high cost of living.
00:42:57.480 Polyev said that under a conservative government,
00:42:59.840 couples in their mid-30s who have been faced with balancing
00:43:02.660 an unaffordable housing situation with a biological clock that's running out,
00:43:07.040 it's true.
00:43:08.180 It's true.
00:43:09.840 What is the biological clock?
00:43:11.400 For women to have babies, I think probably safely to have a child.
00:43:17.700 And I'm saying, you know, there have been exceptions, obviously, to this.
00:43:21.340 But generally speaking, anything over 40 is kind of a risk, no?
00:43:27.180 So anyway, he uses biological clock.
00:43:30.000 Time is running out.
00:43:31.000 Would no longer be overlooked, those people.
00:43:33.820 Pundits jumped on the statement soon after trying to malign him.
00:43:37.100 We will not forget the single mom who can't afford food,
00:43:39.880 Poliev said, we will not forget the seniors who were choosing between eating and heating.
00:43:44.420 We will not forget the 36-year-old couple whose biological clock is running out.
00:43:48.460 It's true.
00:43:49.380 It's running out faster than they can afford to buy a home and have kids.
00:43:53.040 Poliev made the comments during a campaign stop in New Brunswick Monday.
00:43:57.180 And while some were quick to be offended by these comments,
00:43:59.900 claiming that he was out of touch with female voters or that they were rooted in misogyny,
00:44:04.560 the statements are factual.
00:44:05.620 liberal candidate yvonne baker on x says it's appalling to hear the conservative leader use
00:44:13.700 such outdated and harmful rhetoric using a woman's fertility as a punchline in a political attack is
00:44:19.700 not only disrespectful it's downright misogynistic others on social media were quick to acknowledge
00:44:28.080 the facts they say we're meant to have children in our early to mid-20s not our 30s polyev's
00:44:34.000 comment on our biological clocks is correct that's one ex-user another ex-user wrote well
00:44:40.620 the liberal supporters are losing their collective minds over polyev mentioning the biological clock
00:44:45.680 saying it's creepy and misogynistic let's look back on when the liberal party busted out their
00:44:50.600 period bracelets and they did they did uh here's a great piece by i think it's susan bamford
00:45:01.180 jocelyn bamford my mistake and i'm not sure what publication this was in uh michael you sent this
00:45:07.520 to uh to me thank you very much my appeal to fellow women on why you need to support polyev
00:45:14.340 she says it always astounds me the group think mentality that develops among women my age boomers
00:45:24.000 and gen xers it's like they're unable to break free of their high school bonds instead of the
00:45:29.120 washrooms and cafeterias, it's now book club, Facebook, yoga class, and school pickup where
00:45:35.600 the Mean Girls Club dispenses their wisdom and the other ladies must follow or risk expulsion.
00:45:41.060 Heathers, man! That was the movie, right, Heathers? I find this phenomenon exceptionally
00:45:48.120 unusual when many of the women don't particularly like the Mean Girls, but nevertheless feel
00:45:53.880 compelled to follow them in their political leanings. In our generation's case, they're
00:45:58.460 usually left-leaning. In the Canadian election, I see this with regards to Pierre Polyev. Some
00:46:05.260 women in my demographic tell me they don't like him, yet they can't provide a single policy they
00:46:10.980 don't support. This election will be the most consequential election for our children and our
00:46:17.160 grandchildren. The Liberal Party of Canada has wasted your hard-earned money. Check out the
00:46:22.460 Green Slush Fund, where millions, well, billions, of our tax dollars went to liberal insiders or
00:46:27.960 companies that delivered absolutely nothing same with the pandemic money and these are just a few
00:46:33.260 of the many scandals the liberals also taxed you to near death in the form of carbon taxes and they
00:46:40.020 drove businesses out of this country with unaffordable energy taxes and red tape those
00:46:44.540 are your kids jobs disappearing the liberals picked winners and losers in the business space
00:46:50.460 instead of letting companies rise and fall on their own merit and they're going to keep doing
00:46:55.860 the same thing. It's only going to get worse with Mark Carney at the helm. They may have a new
00:47:01.000 leader, but he was the economic advisor to Justin Trudeau, so many, if not all, of Trudeau's policies
00:47:08.920 are Carney's as well. Canada is blessed to have abundant natural resources. Not only could tapping
00:47:16.940 into the resource sector provide high-paying jobs to our kids, but if the liberals truly cared about
00:47:22.540 the environment, they would get our clean, liquefied natural gas to market so that China
00:47:26.900 and India could ease off the coal. Whatever. When our allies came to Canada asking for
00:47:34.420 our natural gas, the Liberal Party sent them packing off to buy it from countries with
00:47:38.900 far fewer environmental regulations, depriving us of prosperity and hurting the environment
00:47:44.920 together. She says, I am calling on my fellow boomer and Gen X women to break free from the
00:47:53.280 mean girls' bonds. Reject groupthink. Use your heads and put aside the emotions and look at the
00:48:00.500 records of each party. Every decent policy Mark Carney is now advocating for is in fact stolen
00:48:07.260 from the conservatives in Polyev, yet there is good reason to believe the liberals will revert
00:48:12.560 back to their disastrous policies once the election is over. This will get us right back
00:48:17.440 to where we were under Trudeau. Same team, same radical policies that will continue to drive the
00:48:22.900 economy down, send jobs away from Canada, and deprive our children of the prosperity they could
00:48:29.300 have. Sorry, ladies, but I don't like Pierre. No longer cuts it. Not in this election.
00:48:36.580 It's weak-minded and does not honor your role as protector of your children.
00:48:41.820 Elections have consequences.
00:48:43.540 Choose wisely.
00:48:45.320 The future of your kids and grandchildren depends on it.
00:48:49.540 Jocelyn Bamford is an executive at a multinational manufacturing company
00:48:54.000 and a longtime Scarborough hockey mom.
00:48:56.400 And a great, great piece she wrote there.
00:49:00.140 Look at this.
00:49:01.080 A liberal candidate gets turfed for praising Hamas.
00:49:05.220 He was a rapper.
00:49:06.780 A rapper turned liberal candidate.
00:49:10.900 Rod Loyola, removed by the liberals for his 2009 comments, 2009, praising Palestinian terror groups.
00:49:21.240 So what did he say? Oh, look, there he is there looking all tough.
00:49:23.860 What did he say exactly? Just 10 days after resigning his seat in the Alberta legislature,
00:49:29.560 because the NDP thought it was fine. Of course they did.
00:49:36.780 That's the provincial NDP in Alberta.
00:49:39.700 So he retired his seat there in the Alberta legislature to run for the Federal Liberals.
00:49:45.540 A three-term NDP MLA has been voted from the ballot for praising Palestinian terrorists during a 2009 political rally.
00:49:54.520 Rod Loyola, who until Thursday, yesterday, was the Federal Liberal candidate in Edmonton Greenway,
00:50:02.200 was recorded praising Hamas and Hezbollah during a videotaped rap session at an anti-NATO protest in Edmonton.
00:50:09.700 organizations like hezbollah and hamas really are trying to stand up for their people and that needs
00:50:14.700 to be recognized loyola said i guess that's all we need you're out and klaus schwab is stepping down
00:50:22.580 as the chair of trustees of the world economic forum let's hear it for klaus man best real life
00:50:30.800 james bond villain of all time and here is one of his greatest hints let's watch we will end up
00:50:38.960 with many more unemployed and particularly also people in the gray economy which are not counted
00:50:46.720 for who lose their jobs so we will see definitely a lot of anger already now but probably increased
00:50:56.400 by the end of the year because this crisis will be with us until we really have found a remedy
00:51:04.000 So we have to prepare for a more angry world, and how to prepare?
00:51:11.700 It means to take the necessary action to create the fairer world,
00:51:16.460 to see that we provide everybody with decent access to the health system,
00:51:25.240 that we make sure that those people who are really left behind,
00:51:31.300 And I'm not speaking only on national levels, I'm speaking also internationally.
00:51:36.420 I see now the tragedy in some of the emerging countries like South Africa, like some countries in East Asia.
00:51:45.420 I think it's all, I don't have too many remedies.
00:51:50.040 The remedies have to be discussed through dialogue by the stakeholders of our global system.
00:51:57.000 But I just see the need for such a dialogue.
00:52:01.880 And I see the need for action.
00:52:03.920 I see the need for a great reset.
00:52:07.360 Yeah, but Klaus, what do you have to do with anything?
00:52:10.680 All you are is a think tank.
00:52:12.220 You have no business appearing at these international events,
00:52:15.720 at these world economic meetings, the G7.
00:52:20.020 He was at the G7 last year.
00:52:21.540 I think he's been there a few years in a row.
00:52:23.400 Who are you?
00:52:25.120 Out!
00:52:26.460 no, no, no, we don't need think tank members or presidents or chairman at these kinds of things.
00:52:32.180 You've got one representative there representing your country and then another one representing
00:52:37.100 your country. We don't need somebody pulling the strings from behind. I had this text exchange with
00:52:43.700 my friend Victoria today. You guys, I think you met her last weekend. She was on one of my videos
00:52:47.720 when I was at the conservative thing. So she sent me this and said, do we know if this is real?
00:52:54.520 Klaus Schwab stepping down.
00:52:55.660 I said, yep, he'll just get replaced by somebody worse.
00:52:59.500 I said, she said, wonder if Trudeau is candidate for the job.
00:53:04.080 LOL, geez.
00:53:06.480 And I thought, huh, hmm, I wonder if that's even a possibility.
00:53:11.720 But then I thought a functioning brain is a prerequisite for the job
00:53:15.540 and Trudeau doesn't have one. 1.00
00:53:17.820 This is not to say that Klaus Schwab is stupid because he's not. 0.99
00:53:20.900 He's actually very smart. 0.99
00:53:23.980 and she said, agreed, I couldn't have said that better.
00:53:28.280 Yeah, so who's it going to be?
00:53:31.700 Yuval Harari?
00:53:33.160 Maybe one of the Soroses?
00:53:35.460 I don't know, but it's probably going to be somebody even worse.
00:53:42.400 One last thing before I let you guys go tonight.
00:53:45.460 I know it's a bit of a shortened episode tonight,
00:53:47.240 but on the extension, we've got a much longer part four of Europa,
00:53:52.960 the last battle tonight last night's episode part three was only like 39 minutes you guys all you
00:53:58.840 all access is watching right now tonight's episode is like an hour and a half so hopefully we've got
00:54:07.660 time we can fit it all in so that's coming up on the extension tonight and last night's was really
00:54:12.480 good it was all about hitler tonight a lot about stalin anyway before i let you guys go on social
00:54:19.720 tonight uh there's this australian comedy team called clark and daw and a few years ago like
00:54:26.160 way back i think this was 89 they did a piece on how the world economy works and even though
00:54:32.760 it's a comedy piece it actually holds true so let's have a look here
00:54:37.300 yes well most economists are market economists brand to a degree these days yes how do you
00:54:45.560 think things are going at the moment? Well, there's a great deal of international
00:54:49.380 concern. I mean, we're taking a toweling, but things will sort themselves out, Brian.
00:54:52.720 This is what a market does. Well, can you explain to me how it all works?
00:54:55.840 How the economy works? Well, yeah. What's the problem at the moment,
00:54:58.840 for instance? Well, what we've got at the moment is an
00:55:00.520 international credit crisis. Yes. How does that happen?
00:55:04.420 Well, I'm a bank, Brian, and I borrow money and I lend it out and I charge more to the
00:55:09.180 people I'm lending it to than I pay to the people from whom I'm borrowing it.
00:55:12.360 Well, who do you borrow money from?
00:55:14.740 Well, from, you know, depositors, Brian.
00:55:16.600 Have you got a dollar?
00:55:17.600 Well, yeah, sure.
00:55:18.320 I borrow your dollar and I'll give you, you know, there's your bank balance.
00:55:20.920 One dollar?
00:55:21.400 One dollar.
00:55:22.000 Right, OK.
00:55:22.720 And you pay interest to me on that?
00:55:24.420 I do, but I also charge your fees.
00:55:26.800 Well, why do you charge me fees?
00:55:28.100 Because, Brian, I'm looking after your money.
00:55:29.820 Your money is secure with me.
00:55:31.100 I'm a bank.
00:55:31.940 I mean, this is a very important amount of money.
00:55:33.680 This is probably your nest egg.
00:55:34.820 It's safe with us.
00:55:35.700 And how much interest do you pay me?
00:55:38.160 Approximately the same as I'm charging you in fees.
00:55:40.300 It's not a deal for me.
00:55:41.620 Well, your money's secure with us, Brian,
00:55:43.320 and I then lend that money to businesses,
00:55:45.400 and those businesses generate income.
00:55:47.680 This is how we build an economy.
00:55:48.920 And they put that income into the bank.
00:55:50.840 They do, of course, Brian, and that builds the savings pool
00:55:53.280 and we can invest more money.
00:55:55.040 Well, who do you lend that to?
00:55:56.720 Well, to people who need credit, Brian.
00:55:58.680 You see, money creates more money,
00:56:00.340 so if we can create money that creates more money,
00:56:02.520 we're broadening the economy, we're expanding it all the time.
00:56:05.220 Yeah, yeah.
00:56:05.740 But shouldn't people just buy the things you can afford?
00:56:08.040 You don't need to afford the things you're buying, Brian.
00:56:10.000 You need to afford the interest on the money you need to borrow in order to buy them.
00:56:13.460 And you're charging higher rates for all this?
00:56:15.220 We do hop into them a wee bit on the credit rate, Brian.
00:56:17.420 We stick the hydraulics under that because it's a slightly higher risk strategy.
00:56:20.780 Do people need to be buying these things that they can afford?
00:56:23.100 Well, obviously they think so, Brian.
00:56:24.280 I mean, these things are advertised to people as very necessary, very important and deeply, deeply attractive.
00:56:28.980 Well, who's advertising things that people don't need?
00:56:31.100 The companies we're lending the money to.
00:56:32.920 So, OK, then you bought into the US subprime housing market.
00:56:36.780 Brian, so concerned, are we, to build a better Australia?
00:56:40.620 You helped build a worse America.
00:56:42.260 Yeah, well, that was an accident, Brian.
00:56:43.560 What we were doing was investing in the international investment market.
00:56:46.900 And that's been a disaster.
00:56:48.060 It, frankly, famously, hasn't been a huge success hitherto.
00:56:51.400 Well, so what are you going to do?
00:56:52.640 Well, now you give me $700 billion immediately.
00:56:56.640 Why?
00:56:57.500 Well, because we need it, Brian.
00:56:58.520 I mean, the system needs money.
00:56:59.780 Imagine the economy as a body.
00:57:01.260 It needs blood pumping around it, Brian.
00:57:02.800 And you haven't got any?
00:57:03.440 We haven't got any money, no.
00:57:04.840 Why not?
00:57:05.480 Well, we lost ours.
00:57:06.300 I've just been explaining that.
00:57:07.540 You're not having mine.
00:57:10.600 Mom!
00:57:12.580 Brian won't let me play with his stuff.
00:57:14.900 It's the only money I've got.
00:57:16.800 You're in for it.
00:57:23.180 Right?
00:57:25.460 Okay, that's it for the show tonight, you guys.
00:57:28.000 Have a great night, a great weekend.
00:57:30.700 I'll catch you Monday night, 8 o'clock central
00:57:32.560 for another Shadow at Night livestream.
00:57:34.060 Love you all. I appreciate you all. The extension begins on ShadowDavis.com in two minutes. I'll see you in just a second.
00:58:04.060 We'll be right back.
