Bill C-18 is edging closer to becoming law after the Senate approved it today in the House of Commons. Could become law next week. It passed in the Senate. 51 votes in favor, 23 against, zero abstentions.
00:16:20.340 You know, we had a conversation with Max Bernier on Wednesday night. We talked about possibly reforming Canada's system of government at some point. Now, we know the PPC is not going to be forming government anytime soon in Canada, but he was against an elected Senate and he seemed to feel that provinces then have not provinces would have too much equality in the say of governing our country, which to me sounded a little bit weird.
