00:10:39.160The city says 514,284 signatures are needed to recall Gondek, or 40%, 40% of the city's
00:10:49.840population, even though less than 400,000 voted for her, for Joe, or sorry, voted in the election
00:10:56.660at all, uh, a couple of years ago. So one of the organizers of the recall Gondek, uh, movement,
00:11:04.300I suppose we can call it, or project is Landon Johnston. And Landon is our guest tonight. Thank
00:11:08.960you for coming on tonight, Landon. How's it going for you so far? Yeah, thanks for having me. Um,
00:11:14.800So far, it's been a bit of a bumpy ride, just trying to get everything organized.
00:11:21.860Up until this point, the largest thing I've ever organized is a job site, and that's six, seven people max.
00:11:30.060So trying to hopefully organize enough people to collect 500,000 signatures, like that's going to take a small army.
00:11:39.700And, you know, it's just ironing out details as we go along.
00:11:44.340I don't know how to build a website. I don't know how to fundraise money. I don't know how to do anything in that matter. I'm very good at finding issues I'm passionate about, and I'm very good at making a big stink about it.
00:12:00.980But up until this point, this is the first time someone's ever heard me.
00:12:05.600So basically, it's just ironing out, refining the process, getting volunteers signed up properly.
00:12:13.900And with this much data being collected, it's been a very difficult process with the amount of information that's coming in.
00:12:26.120And my biggest thing is protecting people's information because I've had my personal information stolen multiple times and I'm still dealing with it, you know, 15 years later.
00:12:37.820So if I get a whiff of anybody using information or selling it or mining it, whatever, I would cancel this petition tomorrow.
00:19:02.400um, from someone she met at her church that said, Hey, you've got a, a, a small business in
00:19:08.820Mindepore that could host it. And she's like, yeah. So it's like a travel office in Mindepore
00:19:13.800and, and she was willing to host, uh, be a local host location, but it was purely random that I
00:19:19.000knocked on her door, door first. Um, and I was like, that's awesome. And so I just going to ask
00:19:24.260her if I can post her information on, on the website so people can go there, or if she just
00:19:29.980wants um organically people that are coming into her business and she can ask him to sign it but
00:19:35.300then i just started going from business to business you know in that little neighborhood um and so far
00:19:41.220everybody's wanted to sign it really um and and and people are starting to be like hey we are
00:19:47.020actually the majority of of the calgarians who want to you know this mayor out um but i'll be
00:19:54.580honest the biggest thing right now is a lot of people are afraid like i never even thought of0.98
00:19:59.800being afraid like that never really crossed my mind maybe that's naive or stupid i don't know
00:20:04.900but a lot of people are like well i don't want to be i don't want to be political i don't want0.96
00:20:09.900my business to be political and i'm like well this isn't political this isn't a political movement
00:20:13.880nobody could guess well i hope no one could guess what i would vote for in an election
00:20:19.020because that's not what this is well not gondek obviously
00:20:22.220but gondek doesn't i don't know if she's conservative or ndp i can make guesses on
00:20:29.020that but i can tell you what she is i know but it's to me i don't care i vote on policy and i've
00:20:35.640always voted on policy that's what i was so what what is it landon about her is it because i know
00:20:40.180you were saying you you thought maybe she could be the nicest sweetest woman in the world you don't
00:20:44.480know what is it about her because she said i think to the marxist corporate media a couple days ago
00:20:50.440first of all she was asked if she was aware of this campaign and she said yes and i have to say
00:20:55.500it stings a little bit um what is it about her what what kind of policies what are the problems
00:21:02.840it's it's from the get-go man it's from the second she came into office she declared a
00:21:09.020climate emergency for calgary and being as aware as i am about the climate in calgary i i think
00:21:19.400calgary is one of the cleanest cities in the world i think we have the cleanest um transit in the
00:21:25.720world because our c train is ran majority by um wind farms like i i it's just hard for me to wrap
00:21:32.860my head around that calgary would would declare a climate emergency when calgary is already like
00:21:40.860a leader in that area like maybe maybe even unintentionally like we're just a very clean
00:21:46.540people in the city like i think like this city seems to respect its environment like and and
00:21:52.940as soon as i saw that i'm like that doesn't make any sense like what what's the benefits to
00:21:57.480declaring a climate emergency what's what's the downfall of that like does that give her special
00:22:01.880powers or special abilities to tax this more for things so i i mean just just the optics of it just0.99
00:22:08.400really didn't sit well with me and that was the very first day she was in and then she canceled
00:22:12.580the arena deal like uh 20 million dollars for taxpayers to cancel that arena deal like or
00:22:17.560whatever it costs it was a lot of money and then she's like oh i want to figure out a better deal
00:22:22.320for the city and then they come up with this other deal and i don't think it's much better than the
00:22:25.960old one um and i want to say i could go on for two hours about this well she's also enacted a0.94
00:22:32.220couple of unconstitutional bylaws about where people can protest and who they can protest0.98
00:22:37.640against, which is absolutely one-sided, right? She doesn't care about the pro-Palestinian
00:22:43.520protesters out there. But if somebody wants to talk about trans teachers or what is it,
00:22:53.220drag queen story hour in schools, one, she's going to have them arrested. So one law, but1.00
00:22:59.840it applies to two different groups differently, which is something that I've noticed about0.98
00:23:04.220and and my only thing to that is uh are trans people calgarians are people who don't like
00:23:11.740trans people calgarians um and as far as i'm concerned they're all calgarians right we all
00:23:18.520require safe transit we all require safe places to protest we all require um to be able to live
00:23:27.020and die by the charter of rights and freedoms like that's it's such a narrow optical illusion
00:23:35.040of freedom and it just keeps getting smaller and smaller and smaller but we're all affected by it
00:23:40.000like you like and and so as for like anything to do with that it's just like you know what0.52
00:23:44.620the mayor shouldn't be positioning herself as any sort of cultural icon because that's not her job1.00
00:23:52.220If she wants to do that, step down as mayor. You can be a cultural icon or a societal icon or whatever she wants to be. She just doesn't have to do it as mayor. Right. That's that's not her jobs and duties. Like go to the Calgary website and it says the mayoral duties and responsibilities. And that's not one of them.1.00
00:24:12.900Well, as you said, she's supposed to be the mayor for all Calgarians,1.00
00:24:15.720and yet she skipped out of the Hanukkah celebrations and the Christmas celebrations0.94
00:24:18.940last month and the month before that, because pro-Palestine, right, from the river to the sea,
00:24:24.140which is what her background is and what she believes in, like any good neo-Marxist.
00:24:28.080And so what I like that you're doing is you're taking the bull by the horns here, Landon,
00:24:34.200and you are actually initiating something, which is completely legal.
00:24:38.280when you talk to people you say they're scared because they don't want to politicize their store
00:24:43.800or their business or whatever it is but you tell them something quite basic like well this is legal
00:24:48.960this is one of the only jurisdictions in the country that allows politicians at the municipal
00:24:54.120level to be recalled it's it's not just businesses it's city officials it's um even people in in my
00:25:03.380own team are cautious of being associated with this. And I'm just like, I never even thought
00:25:12.000in my head of like, like, should I be afraid? Like, should I be cautious? Because I run a
00:25:16.540small business in Calgary. But it was it's just never been in my nature to back down from from
00:25:22.060anything. And so I'm just like, could she retaliate against my business? And I'm just like, you know,
00:25:27.020if she did, that would be grounds for a lawsuit. So I'm just like, I'm like, do whatever you got
00:25:32.440to do i'm not i'm not afraid and i'm telling people i'm like if you work for the city or if
00:25:37.300you work your contractor for the city it's like if you sign this and you help people sign this
00:25:42.720you don't have to work for her anymore you know what i mean like we're the majority the other
00:25:48.460people like the people who like her are the minority so just like step out of your comfort
00:25:54.180zone like no one's going to attack you like she's not going to retaliate like and if they do that's
00:25:58.920grounds for a massive lawsuit that's that's using um i i don't know like it's using something
00:26:05.660against you that they're not allowed to use against you and that's i last time i checked
00:26:10.540the law book you can't do that especially as a government official that's true but it takes a
00:26:14.780couple of years to go through the process right and we've been saying for the last few years that
00:26:18.920the process is in fact the penalty it costs thousands and thousands of dollars to get
00:26:23.360a lawyer and then you've got to take the time off work and and the mental stress the anguish that you
00:26:28.340go through because you're going up against city hall and there's there's a reason for that old
00:26:32.560expression you can't fight city hall why is that what why why is the why does the process take that
00:26:38.520long yeah because that's what they do that's the problem is that that's well that would be the
00:26:44.280lawyers from the other side that would be possibly crooked judges because we know that some judges
00:26:50.200have been compromised as well not just at the city level or the municipal level or the provincial
00:26:55.080level but the federal level as well uh through all of the lawsuits that have happened across the
00:27:00.580country regarding the covet mandates uh because they've been using judicial notice how long do
00:27:06.800you have to get this thing done um so i'm just going to say something like that's what i was
00:27:12.480asking like who's in charge of that well elected officials are in charge of drafting and signing
00:27:17.520bills and laws into legislation yeah and as as far as i know every elected official in alberta
00:27:23.820is susceptible to a recall so if you're not happy with a process um and you've got grounds to file
00:27:30.840or five hundred dollars to file a petition against something you're not happy with the reason the
00:27:35.380final reason i filed this petition is because my counselor peter demong told me he said landon
00:27:42.000because i wanted to speak in front of council about um transparency and accountability regarding
00:27:47.500freedom of information because 90% of everything I get back from a freedom of information act is
00:27:54.300redacted I'm like how am I supposed to hold a elected official accountable if everything's
00:27:59.960redacted and who's who's going to audit that redaction and how would I know the person
00:28:05.980redacting it is not best friends with the person I'm trying to get information from and my counselor
00:28:10.120said Landon that's just not the way it's done and I'm like well you're the avenue to change that and
00:28:16.420you're not willing to make it easier and so these politicians are not trying to win the trust
00:28:21.300back from the public and i was like i was like peter if you're telling me that because it hasn't0.97
00:28:28.400been done before and that you that means you can't do it now like that's such a stupid evil way of
00:28:35.720looking at anything and i'm just like well then he and then he said landon if you want to if you0.95
00:28:40.600want it to change then you become your own counselor and then hung up the phone on me and0.98
00:28:43.840oh i i'm just like you self-righteous asshole if you're really gonna tell me that just because it0.98
00:28:54.060hasn't been done before and you can't do it now and all i did was i wanted to speak in front of0.98
00:28:57.760council but there's no agenda meeting for holding your elected officials accountable and then i was
00:29:04.040like okay well i'm gonna file this petition and i'm not going after my counselor i'm going for
00:29:07.900the head of the snake or if that's the less evil way to say that but you know leadership comes from
00:29:15.080the top and if we can get the mayor out that's going to send a huge message to all the councillors
00:29:19.440that their seat is not safe and i'm just saying you're telling me legal processes take a long
00:29:24.700time in this province i mean whether you're a fan or not a fan of the current elected officials
00:29:32.360you have every opportunity to sign a petition and getting out mlas and and provincial things is
00:29:39.300technically easier than municipal municipal recalls because it's 40 percent of the writing
00:29:46.380elect no elected population not 40 percent of the total population so oh i see hey you did hear
00:29:52.780about the chestemere city council right they all got fired yeah so that was the province stepping
00:29:58.700But the city, like the Chesomir, if they were really unhappy with their mayor and councillor, they could have filed this petition.
00:30:05.020And that would have been the quickest way, like Riley, Alberta did, to get rid of people you're not happy with.0.98
00:30:12.300And I don't know why they didn't do that.
00:30:14.060Maybe they didn't know about the petition.
00:30:16.040Or maybe they were happy with their councillors and mayor, and the province itself wasn't happy with them.
00:30:22.240i don't know the process of that but i know that riley alberta had an option to do a legal way
00:30:27.920which would have cost the city thousands and thousands of dollars or all they had to do was
00:30:32.100get 260 signatures and that counselor was gone by the next meeting right yeah legally he was never
00:30:40.020allowed to come back so get getting back to the question i asked how long do you have uh to get
00:30:45.300this done uh 60 days minus seven days or six days so like 52 54 54 days 53 days so that's not long
00:30:55.780around there do you think that you've got a chance at this like a real solid chance or is this just
00:31:00.540an exercise to show her because i'll tell you this i mean every day she looks out her her window
00:31:06.380and she's going to see people going door to door to door to door she's going to be hearing about
00:31:11.000it it's going to be in the newspaper it's going to be on shows like mine it's going to be all over
00:31:14.480the country and by the way i hope you guys who are watching from elsewhere not in alberta are
00:31:20.460paying close attention to this because even if you don't have recall legislation in your area
00:31:25.380maybe you can put enough pressure on your own city councilor or town councilor or mayor or reeve
00:31:30.780to do the same thing that landed and his gang are doing is just make them accountable that's what
00:31:35.860this is about she sees what you're doing and she sees that you have mounted an army not to go to
00:31:42.820war physically but to get rid of her even if you even a failure is a win at this point wouldn't you
00:31:48.820say as of monday last week it was just going to be my voice um so the fact that this many people
00:31:58.660have joined in on this is is already a win for me um but the more people that sign up and volunteer
00:32:04.300it's just like we're up against the clock right so it's it's just the matter of getting people
00:32:11.760the opportunity to sign it um because i i've done i've done about 500 to 600 signatures since last
00:32:18.340week and that's just me walking around my neighborhood going to grocery stores asking
00:32:22.080every single person i see and i'm at like i'm batting like 900 right now for people that are
00:32:27.840aware of the situation my biggest obstacle is people that are like who's the mayor um what's
00:32:33.980going on you know i mean and then i'm just like well don't sign it if you're not informed but i
00:32:38.020always tell them like just google the mayor's name and and go through it because everything
00:32:42.740she's done up to this point has in my opinion negatively affected every single citizen whether
00:32:49.060you're black white green gay straight whatever like everyone's under the same foot of this mayor
00:32:55.620because we all pay the same taxes we're all paying um for all of their mistakes so i'm just like like
00:33:00.900just get informed and we'll get you another opportunity to sign this petition so um whether
00:33:05.820it's at a location or people walk around knocking on doors so um yeah i mean i'm sorry go ahead go
00:33:12.400ahead finish i was just gonna say i mean we're up against the clock so i mean it's it's i mean up
00:33:18.000until this point like we've we've handed out over 10 000 petition forms to um volunteers and
00:33:26.220canvassers so those are out right now so 10 000 petition forms uh 10 per form you know that's
00:33:32.680potential 100,000 signatures out there right now that haven't been back in. And I'll be honest,
00:33:39.800the easiest part is actually getting signatures. It's the second process that's signing the
00:33:44.540affidavit in front of a commissioner. That's like the killer, right? So now we need another army of
00:33:51.060commissioners willing to volunteer something they would normally charge a couple hundred bucks or
00:33:56.540a hundred bucks for, and we're asking them to do it for free. And that's, again, that's going to be
00:34:01.680thousands and thousands and thousands of affidavits they're going to have to stamp and that means we
00:34:07.180have to organize people who have finished petitions to meet up with the commissioner
00:34:11.080commissioner to go to them um and we've got 60 days or 50 days now to get that done like it's
00:34:18.380it's monumental and i'm actually drafting um i don't even know what it's called maybe there's
00:34:23.560someone on your stream that's smarter than i am that could recommend um filing i don't know if
00:34:30.640the word is injunction like i've been googling it all night trying to file something with the
00:34:35.720province to be like hey is there any way we can get an extended timeline um is there any way i
00:34:42.060can fight this in court um or if i can extension yeah you can get next you can try and get an
00:34:46.700extension um and so guys if if one of you guys watching from alberta right now is knowledgeable
00:34:52.180in this area or maybe you're not from alberta you lived in alberta you know the system you know the
00:34:57.000routine uh where can people get a hold of you landed um so the website um i'll give it to you
00:35:04.360here before we're done i don't know where i can type it in but it's a recall mayor gondek.com
00:35:08.920um and then we've got a twitter handle and that's recall gondek yyc um and so i think i have to
00:35:17.720follow somebody that signs up on the twitter for them to be able to dm me but i'm looking for any
00:35:25.940help possible i'm looking for volunteers i'm looking for anyone that's good with computers
00:35:30.460um like i said i'm just i've got two trade tickets and i run an ac and furnace business
00:35:35.700um so my knowledge on something like this is very minimal um you need somebody who can help
00:35:43.580to the site but yeah if anyone's got any sort of help whatsoever i've got a donation page i never
00:35:49.000thought i would need money um but i mean it's just like even like 10 000 reams of paper like
00:35:55.220um i did the math we're looking at about six to seven meter tall stack of paper that i have to
00:36:02.380deliver if we get the amount of signatures it'll be six to seven meter tall stack of papers i have
00:36:07.360to deliver at one time to the city hall when this is done so like what's what's the website called
00:36:12.540again uh recall mayor gondek.com okay i'll just throw it up on the screen here once i get it
00:36:23.440and and again like i've got people volunteering helping me with the website which means they're
00:36:30.220not always available every time i i get like a new idea of how to make it better but i'm looking
00:36:35.260for any sort of criticism um whether it's destructive or negative like anything to help
00:36:41.680better it's better there it is okay so uh register to sign commissioner's list volunteer there's a
00:36:49.800contact right there so recall mayor gondek you get those emails from the contact landon yes i do
00:36:56.620yeah okay so that's where people can find you recall mayor gondek.com if you want to take part
00:37:04.660in this if you have any suggestions helpful hints for landon he's looking for anything you can get
00:37:08.440right now and the donation page is right here as well donate to support so go to the website
00:37:13.500check it out and hopefully you know i wish you the best with this even if you don't succeed the
00:37:20.140initiative and the determination that you're showing hopefully inspires other people to do
00:37:24.460the same i believe that the more engagement we have in politics especially at the local levels
00:37:31.320with school trustees with town and city counselors mayors and whatnot that is what's going to save
00:37:36.120this country and pete there's too many people who just don't know what's going on or worse don't
00:37:42.100care what's going on and you said yourself uh earlier tonight there's so many people who don't
00:37:48.140even know who the mayor is in calgary right yeah yeah it's it's sad it really is because like i
00:37:53.180said it affects everybody um and i i you know if anything i'm hopefully getting other people
00:37:59.100engaged in this and just telling them like make make a google search and and figure out why your
00:38:03.820property assessment has gone up so much and why they're not plowing your roads why c train's
00:38:09.420unsafe like why is our taxes keep going up but none of the city infrastructure keep like is
00:38:14.320getting any better like it's how bad is the crime in calgary now uh landed i'm in winnipeg the crime
00:38:19.660is pretty bad we just had another real bad one last night uh are there a lot of people getting
00:38:24.320attacked just randomly well i'm trying to figure that out because they keep changing the way they
00:38:29.200do the statistics and so it's like comparing statistics year over year is almost impossible
00:38:33.800but i mean just look at how many gang shootings there's been in public parking spots and then
00:38:39.920the city comes out and says oh the public do not have to be afraid of this and it's just like oh
00:38:47.620you mean a random shooting in a random parking lot in public at outside of an earl's or outside
00:38:52.600of a superstore like that's that seems really short-sighted it's like yeah the public should
00:38:58.380be afraid of a stray bullet you know what i mean but they keep coming out with like all these
00:39:03.400excuses for what's been going on in the city and yeah look at the crime on the c train the mayor
00:39:08.300goes on on i think seventh ab so like a two-stop um ride with armed guards and takes a photo and
00:39:15.960says look the c train's safe and she's got with her yeah and it's just like how oblivious you
00:39:23.380have to be like that's not gaining the trust like if they really cared then the city council would
00:39:29.500ride transit for a whole week but none of them i know that ride the transit they drive downtown
00:39:35.560right so like how could this there's just so oblivious like they're all getting paid they're
00:39:41.100all giving themselves raises they're set for life with their with their pension and i mean there's
00:39:45.960unlimited they can be in office as long as they want like it's it's they don't care they don't
00:39:50.780care about us and this is just our way of being like hey this is a job performance review and if
00:39:56.560you fail it you're gone and you're not coming back so all right landon thank you very much for coming
00:40:01.920on tonight we really appreciate you taking the time and i want to say good luck man great taking
00:40:07.380the initiative like this i know it's a lot because you've got your family and you've got also your
00:40:13.920business that you have to pay attention to as well so good on you man way to go thank you for coming
00:40:19.060on again. Thank you, Shadow. Yep. All right. Take it easy. We'll talk again. Have a good day.
00:40:23.280Bye. All right. You too. Bye-bye. Landon Johnston, one of the organizers of the Recall
00:40:27.540Gondek campaign. That's a big undertaking. Like we said earlier, 514,000 signatures are required
00:40:34.820to get her out. And that's what the goal is. Friends, I'm sure you recognize this person here.
00:40:42.980She made a video and put it up on her X page earlier today. She's going to be one of the
00:40:47.840people that you get a chance to meet on March the 8th in Swift Current at the Canadian Voices Gala
00:40:53.560in support of Chris Barber's legal fees and others. And you can find more on Eventbrite
00:40:59.560in terms of tickets. And they're going fast. There's only 70 tickets for that event remaining.
00:41:04.200Let's hear what Eva had to say. This is Eva Chippyuk. Watch.
00:41:07.720invoke the emergencies act on peaceful lawful protesters we're going to go back to the
00:41:20.920beginning here it's valentine's day february 14th two years since the federal government
00:41:26.860justin trudeau's government invoke the emergencies act on peaceful lawful protesters in ottawa
00:41:33.600I've been asking the same question since day one.
00:41:36.460What was illegal and when did it become illegal?
00:41:39.680And I still don't have those answers yet.
00:41:42.920Also, we have a decision from the federal court that found that the government's actions were unconstitutional and illegal.
00:41:50.740They overstepped their boundaries and invoking the Emergencies Act was not justified.
00:41:57.620At the Public Order Emergency Commission, I made a statement.
00:42:01.200The Prime Minister may have heard some of those statements, but he certainly wasn't listening.
00:42:06.100So I'd like to read some of those statements again today.
00:42:10.180The government's response to the protests by invoking the Emergencies Act was a further reach in power over people instead of power by the people.
00:42:19.580In response to the unprecedented unison of voices of many Canadians, including a voice by way of millions in donations to the cause,
00:42:27.120The government of Canada refused to engage and listen to the people.
00:42:31.940Instead, by invoking the Emergencies Act, the government stepped even further into their oppressive governance by quashing the most fundamental right that belonged to a Canadian democracy.
00:42:42.980That is to come together in their nation's capital, in front of Parliament, to engage in dialogue with their elected officials.
00:42:51.240Protesting is, in fact, the people trying to have a dialogue with their government as a last resort of engagement, when all other avenues of discourse have failed or have been censored.
00:43:05.140A healthy democracy demands continuous engagement between people and government, and when the government uses violence to assert its power over the people, the fabric of democracy is torn.
00:43:17.860the fact is it does not matter which side of the protest you are on to be canadian is to value
00:43:26.500human dignity kindness community compassion and love it's not normal to hate and divide
00:43:36.480the government does not define us we do the collective of many diverse groups across the
00:43:43.860country. The protest in Ottawa brought so many Canadians from all different walks of life
00:43:50.740together. It was an opportunity for reconciliation, for uniting, and forging relationships despite so
00:43:59.300many differences and obstacles. The protest in Ottawa gave people hope and it humbled all of us.
00:44:08.440What we saw in Ottawa is emblematic of what it means to be Canadian,
00:44:13.920and that is what terrifies the government of Canada.
00:44:19.040I hope you are listening, Mr. Prime Minister,
00:44:22.380because if there ever was a time for you to step down,
00:49:47.500The Toronto Dominion Bank, the CIBC, the Bank of Montreal, the National Bank of Canada, the Royal Bank of Canada, Bank of Nova Scotia, Scotiabank, Canadian Tire Services doing business as Canadian Tire Bank, Meridian Credit Union, Assiniboine Credit Union, Gulf and Fraser Credit Union, Stride Credit Union, Simply Financial, Canadian Anti-Hate Network, and I can't decide what I'm happier about.
00:50:13.680the Canadian Anti-Hate Network or Justin Trudeau being sued,
00:56:12.760this is still a few more pages so we're not going to go through the entire thing but that's pretty
00:56:19.080cool isn't it i'm going to put this in the comments for facebook and for x for those of you watching
00:56:24.520there and i just did and i'm going to put it in the comments here for those of you watching on
00:56:30.100rumble so you can go ahead and peruse it yourself at your leisure if you want to go ahead and do
00:56:35.640that as well. That is historic. Today is a historic day in Canada. But wait, there's
00:56:43.700more. There's more. First of all, here's the press release. It comes from Loberg-Ector,
00:56:51.460the law firm. They're the ones representing. And they say today, Loberg-Ector commenced
00:56:58.060proceedings in Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ottawa, on behalf of 20 victims of the Trudeau
00:57:04.360government's unconstitutional misuse of the provisions of the Emergencies Act in February
00:57:08.5202022. The plaintiffs in this action seek compensation and related relief arising from
00:57:14.660the unjustified and unconstitutional actions of the Liberal government as well as the actions
00:57:19.980of certain police agencies and Canadian financial institutions who followed the unlawful orders of
00:57:25.760the Liberal government and other defendants who participated in or promoted these actions.
00:57:31.020Now, we don't know if this is going to be certified, by the way, this particular action,
00:57:37.760based upon the fact that the Liberal government has said they're going to appeal the federal court's ruling
00:57:43.340that the invocation of the Emergencies Act was illegal.
00:57:47.840And we don't know if or when that appeal is going to be heard.
00:57:51.300So this may be completely moot. We don't know. Yet.
00:57:56.420But, like I said last night, every lawyer I've talked to behind the scenes says, you know, that ruling by Justice Mosley, the federal court ruling that tells us that what Trudeau did with the Emergencies Act was, in fact, illegal.
00:58:13.000It's pretty much appeal proof the way it's written.
00:58:17.580And even if it does manage to, and the government needs to have new evidence they can bring, just like any other appeal case.
00:58:24.440There needs to be something new they could bring to the table.
01:07:51.820So we've heard from Seamus O'Regan, we've heard from Stephen Gilboe, and now let's hear from the lord of the idiots, Justin Trudeau himself, trying to answer a question in question period in the House of Commons, versus a very formidable foe.1.00
01:08:10.940So let's recap. A company that had never before received contracts from the federal government started getting an avalanche of contracts just three weeks after this Prime Minister took office.0.95
01:08:26.400The company, in fact, got a quarter of a billion dollars for IT, even though it admits it doesn't do IT. It has four employees and has a headquarters in the basement of a cottage.
01:08:39.280can the prime minister explain why okay okay so uh we don't do i.t we got 750 000 from justin
01:08:51.120trudeau three weeks after he became prime minister can the prime minister explain exactly what
01:08:59.440happened there this suspicious company started getting these contracts exactly 21 days after he
01:09:05.920took office the right honorable prime minister obviously the relevant authorities need to follow
01:09:13.460up on this and get to the bottom of exactly how this unacceptable situation happened well if that
01:09:18.860is the case justin then you're going to be carried away in handcuffs you know that's not going to
01:09:25.520happen in the meantime on this side of the house we're going to continue to focus on making life
01:09:30.020more affordable for Canadians, for example, attracting thousands of health care workers
01:09:35.120by increasing by 50% student loan forgiveness for rural doctors and nurses, by fast-tracking
01:09:42.100the construction of more than 51,000 homes, by finalizing the housing accelerator agreements
