00:00:30.000 The Stone Zone. Entertaining and informative.
00:00:34.760 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.
00:00:48.000 This is the Stone Zone with Roger Stone.
00:00:51.920 People love him and respect him. Roger Stone.
00:00:54.300 Now, get him his own. It's the Stone Zone.
00:00:58.600 Here's Roger Stone.
00:01:02.380 You are now entering the Stone Zone.
00:01:06.520 Well, the two-tiered justice system continues.
00:01:10.100 You may remember that some months ago, former FBI Director James Comey was charged with lying under oath to Congress.
00:01:18.400 That, ironically, is the exact same charge that Robert Mueller brought against me.
00:01:25.200 In my case, I was not guilty.
00:01:28.100 Now, what's interesting is that Comey was allowed to surrender in private 10 days later,
00:01:36.320 where in my case, 29 heavily armed FBI agents stormed my home at six o'clock in the morning.
00:01:44.000 They were all brandishing fully automatic assault weapons.
00:01:47.600 They basically surrounded my home and then closed in.
00:01:51.500 It was a circus created for CNN.
00:01:53.780 Speaking of CNN, they were upset yesterday when Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who's under active federal investigation for lying about the circumstances into which she entered the country's home, was raided at 6 a.m.
00:02:09.920 So here's the difference. CNN protests the raid on Omar's home, where in my case, they were there to live broadcast my humiliation to the entire country.
00:02:22.660 Now, federal investigators have subpoenaed Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's sister, Sarah Noor, and at least one other of her relatives as they examine possible fraud and false statements in her immigration paperwork.
00:02:37.600 The inquiry reportedly focuses in part on whether Omar's late father omitted or misstated information on forms before he became a U.S. citizen.
00:02:48.460 The subpoenas follow the Monday search of Omar's Washington area home by Homeland Security investigators.
00:02:56.860 Omar left the premises 30 minutes before the DHS raid took place, meaning someone tipped her off.
00:03:05.700 She is denied wrongdoing and called the actions an effort to target political enemies.
00:03:10.660 This is where she's wrong, you see.
00:03:12.560 If she violated the law or the Constitution, she should be prosecuted.
00:03:17.100 it's really a pretty simple concept it doesn't matter whether you're a republican
00:03:21.240 a democrat or in no party at all and not involved in politics no one is above the law that's what
00:03:27.480 the liberals told us over and over again during watergate but they don't want to ever live up to
00:03:34.040 it she's now using these a these raids on her home to fundraise from far leftists who are rallying to 1.00
00:03:40.560 her defense. Long-standing public questions about Omar's naturalization timeline and a 2009
00:03:46.740 marriage, apparently to her brother, have long been part of the public record. But no administration
00:03:53.140 has had the guts to go after her and proceed against her because they were politically correct.
00:03:59.520 The Trump administration, in this case, has not backed down. They have talked for months about
00:04:04.340 how Omar was being looked at. Now it's obvious that they're set to follow through. Scandals
00:04:09.740 related to omar's net worth have only made her look even shadier she entered congress virtually 0.98
00:04:15.840 penniless today she and her husband are according to her own filings worth millions it's all it's 0.92
00:04:22.400 time to get all this double dealing out of the shadows and into light she's another somali 0.99
00:04:26.640 swindler and it's time for her to be ejected out of congress for her misdeeds and then be sent on 1.00
00:04:32.120 a one-way back flight back to mogadishu meanwhile there are a rather rubanesque woman wearing a
00:04:38.360 Schert, demanding the release of the Epstein files, got into a physical confrontation with
00:04:43.940 an apparent Trump supporter during a confrontation at the crowd of President Trump's Youngstown,
00:04:50.040 Ohio rally. After the protester became unruly, police intervened and escorted her away while
00:04:56.520 the crowd chanted. President Trump subsequently mocked the heckler's appearance, pointing out
00:05:02.080 how overweight they were, called the individual a paid protester, and suggested that the disruption
00:05:07.700 was organized by the left. The incident occurred while President Trump was on the campaign trail
00:05:13.600 campaigning against Democrat Senate candidate and former U.S. Senator and troglodyte Sherrod
00:05:20.620 Brown. Now, I should say for the record, I don't disagree with the sentiment reflected on the
00:05:27.480 woman's shirt. If you go to my book, The Clinton's War on Women, written in 2015, I'm the first
00:05:35.580 author in the United States to completely and fully expose Jeffrey Epstein and the goings-on
00:05:43.360 on his island. My book included the FAA Manifest to show you who was on the island, also included
00:05:51.740 Epstein's Little Black Book, which had been sold by his butler to a British tabloid and published
00:05:58.180 in Great Britain. The significance of that is that the butler, in order to get extra cash,
00:06:04.620 had gone through Epstein's Little Black Book and circled the names of those he said were involved
00:06:10.080 in misdeed with underage victims. So I have always been in favor of 100% disclosure of all
00:06:19.700 information that the government has regarding the actions of Jeffrey Epstein, and particularly his
00:06:25.540 association with Stephen K. Bannon. The Department of Justice released 1,900 emails between Bannon
00:06:33.040 and Jeffrey Epstein, in which Bannon very clearly is coaching Epstein on his public rehabilitation,
00:06:41.960 in which it's very clear that Epstein invites Bannon to his Lolita Island. It's very clear that
00:06:49.940 Bannon went to Epstein's Island. It's very clear that in those emails, Bannon mocks President
00:06:57.820 Donald Trump says that he, Bannon, is the leader of the MAGA movement and even talks about the need
00:07:05.720 to replace Donald Trump as president under the 25th Amendment. So the online persona of Steve
00:07:13.260 Bannon on his now dwindling war room is quite different than his cozy relationship with Jeffrey
00:07:20.440 Epstein. In fact, he filmed some 19 hours of video with Epstein for a quote-unquote documentary
00:07:29.420 that has never been released. The truth here is, I believe Bannon was coaching Epstein for a 60
00:07:37.460 minutes appearance that was scheduled but then canceled after the Florida convicted pedophile
00:07:43.460 was arrested on federal charges. The administration has already made some Epstein-related files public
00:07:50.340 In fact, they've done more than released those files than any administration in history.
00:07:55.060 But the Justice Department did move in both Florida and in New York to have all of the records regarding Epstein unsealed.
00:08:05.260 And in both cases, federal judges appointed by Democrat presidents withheld that information.
00:08:12.220 The rally attendees who viewed the interruption as an attempt to derail the event responded rather unfriendly in their nature.
00:08:20.180 The sequence shows that Trump supporters are not willing to roll over to the radical left.
00:08:24.420 They still have to fight to take on the enemies of freedom.
00:08:26.940 But the Epstein files are not a major campaign issue.
00:08:30.140 They're just something the left harps on out of desperation.
00:08:32.900 I can tell you who's in the Epstein's file.
00:08:35.800 I know who visited the island.
00:08:37.200 We're talking about Bill Clinton.
00:08:38.240 We're talking about Democrat Treasury Secretary Larry Summers.
00:08:42.960 We're talking about former Democrat Governor Bill Richardson.
00:08:46.940 I defy anyone to name any Republican other than Steve Bannon who visited Epstein's island or was, for that matter, on Epstein's plane.
00:08:57.920 That's an open invitation.
00:08:59.180 If anybody can can show me evidence that Donald Trump visited the island or visited Epstein's home in New York or was on Epstein's plane,
00:09:08.660 Other than the one time we know about, which he had his then wife, Marla Maples, and their daughter, Tiffany, with him, a trip that began at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, ended in Palm Beach, then two days later, flew from Palm Beach back to Teterboro.
00:09:24.640 There's nothing particularly suspicious about that.
00:09:27.700 Meanwhile, Jewish Democrats in Michigan have launched a non-negotiable campaign calling on U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed to affirm five principles as a condition for their support.
00:09:39.460 The principles include Jewish safety, including for Zionist Jews, the right of Jews to define their own identity, Jewish sovereignty in Israel, full Jewish participation in civic life, and an affirmative vision for the Middle East.
00:09:53.440 The signatories in Michigan include rabbis, elected officials, and community leaders representing tens of thousands of Jewish Michigan residents who are overwhelmingly Democrats.
00:10:05.440 El-Sayed has refused to support Israel in terms that satisfy this group.
00:10:09.980 He has even refused to unequivocally state that Iran is worse than Israel.
00:10:14.000 Can you imagine that?
00:10:14.860 He's previously campaigned with figures who are fiercely critical of the Jewish state, such as the reviled streamer Hassan Piker, who very famously claimed that America deserved the attacks of 9-11.
00:10:26.160 This petition arrives ahead of a planned El-Sayed rally with former President Barack Obama.
00:10:32.540 So Obama has now been rolled out as the big dog for the Democrats' effort to win either control of the House or the Senate.
00:10:40.480 I think a direct result of Donald Trump hitting the stump for Republicans.
00:10:47.080 President Obama himself met with and said that candidates seeking Jewish votes should meet with them as well.
00:10:53.680 The campaign treats the principles as non-negotiable rather than optional.
00:10:58.280 There's been a growing movement of moderate Democrats in Michigan who are choosing to support former Republican Congressman Mike Rogers for the U.S. Senate because of El-Sayed's extreme positions.
00:11:10.600 Rogers is, of course, also a former FBI agent.
00:11:13.300 While El-Sayed adjusts his public positions or the group withholds his support, it will shape the final weeks of the Michigan Senate contest and could ultimately determine the result.
00:11:22.880 as polls currently indicate that that race in Michigan is too close to call.
00:11:28.500 Meanwhile, in Texas, Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton
00:11:31.580 leads Democrat James Tallarico 47.2% to 46.7%,
00:11:38.380 according to a new credible Texas Senate poll.
00:11:42.260 The margin is incredibly narrow within a narrow statewide contest
00:11:45.800 that has already drawn more than $200 million in outside spending.
00:11:51.280 Earlier public polls in September and early October had shown that Tallarico had a small lead.
00:11:58.440 Paxson, of course, went through a brutal primary where he defeated incumbent RINO Senator John Cornyn in the Republican primary.
00:12:05.580 And he enters a general election as a nominee in a state that has not elected a Democrat statewide in decades.
00:12:12.200 On the other hand, Talrico easily defeated Jasmine Crockett for the nomination of the Democrat Party, in which Crockett was woefully underfunded, and the Republican primary was far more bitter.
00:12:27.260 In the end, President Donald Trump really catapulted Paxton to the nomination by endorsing him over John Corden, who has all the markings of your classic rhino.
00:12:38.840 If Paxson wins, he'll arguably be Donald Trump's fiercest ally in the Washington, D.C. market and in the U.S. Senate.
00:12:45.780 So the stakes are particularly high in this battle.
00:12:48.600 Tal Rico, of course, has faced scrutiny over past statements regarding gender and biology.
00:12:54.080 He's also suspiciously went MIA for 12 days in the homestretch of the campaign, which I have to admit is extraordinarily unusual.
00:13:02.880 He's been explained away by him having the flu, which doesn't quite make sense.
00:13:07.200 Republican groups have observed substantial airtime to defend the seat, while Democrat outside groups are spending heavily against Paxton.
00:13:15.340 The latest poll places a Republican nominee slightly ahead at the moment, but early voting is, of course, approaching.
00:13:21.540 It will not be easy to win, but anything worth fighting for, of course, rarely is.
00:13:25.680 When you study these polls, it's very important that you recognize several things.
00:13:29.840 One, the size of the polling sample.
00:13:32.360 See, if a sample isn't large enough and it isn't properly drawn to have the correct demographic and geographic balance, then the poll has been designed for a pre-desired result.
00:13:45.660 Then you look at the questions in the poll.
00:13:48.060 Are they worded in a neutral and unbiased manner?
00:13:52.060 Lastly, you look at the order of the questions in the poll.
00:13:55.780 Now, those are three highly technical issues, but we're now being flooded with polls from all directions.
00:14:02.360 And therefore, you have to pick and choose very carefully.
00:14:05.700 Based on pollsters, you have a long and credible track record and you have in the past been able to call winners and losers.
00:14:13.820 Not all poll polls are equal and the wording and the order and the sample size all really matter.
00:14:21.920 I'm Roger Stone explaining how polls work in an election right here in the Stone Zone.
00:14:26.300 Don't go away because we'll be right back.
00:14:29.580 The Stone Zone.
00:14:31.540 Entertaining and informative.
00:14:33.680 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.
00:14:45.560 This is The Stone Zone with Roger Stone.
00:14:49.380 Roger Stone, who's a very, very, one of the smartest political minds.
00:14:53.280 Roger Stone was persecuted.
00:14:54.520 People forget he's actually a brilliant, brilliant political analyst.
00:14:57.400 Now, get in the zone. It's the Stone Zone. Here's Roger Stone.
00:15:03.440 Welcome back into the Stone Zone.
00:15:05.880 You know, the Democrats really can't wait to tell you who they really are.
00:15:09.700 In this case, Illinois Democrat Congresswoman Delia Ramirez has introduced the so-called Reimagining Safety Act.
00:15:17.300 This is legislation that would dismantle the Department of Homeland Security, abolish the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, and do away with the Customs and Border Protection Department, creating a new Department of Community Safety.
00:15:31.340 See, here's the thing. If you look at the name of the bill, the bill almost always does the exact opposite of what the name tells you it does.
00:15:40.500 This is certainly the case here. The bill would preserve certain non-immigration functions such as FEMA, the TSA at airports, and the CISA while transferring others and ending immigration detention authority.
00:15:54.240 Ramirez stated that deaths in detention, shootings, and deportations justify this overhaul.
00:16:00.200 Co-sponsors, of course, include the usual collection of Looney Tunes left-wing Democrats.
00:16:04.720 The proposal would eliminate the federal agencies responsible for Interior Immigration Enforcement and Border Patrol
00:16:12.080 and replace the parent department created after the September 11th attacks.
00:16:16.640 It would require the release of detained immigrants within a defined period and ban further spending on immigration, detention and monitoring.
00:16:26.040 The measure arrives weeks before the midterms and should not do the Democrats any favors because it reveals in advance what would happen if they are to win the upcoming midterm elections.
00:16:37.240 This is yet again a reminder that the radical fringe that is now holding the Democrat Party hostage will not stop until they get open borders and anarchy in this country.
00:16:47.500 The words moderate Democrat have become an oxymoron.
00:16:51.520 In order for people like Hakeem Jeffries, I love to say this guy's name, Hakeem Jeffries, to become speaker in the event that his party wins a majority in the House, he will be held hostage by the radical progressives in his party with an agenda that most Americans oppose.
00:17:10.480 So the Democrat Party of John F. Kennedy, the Democrat Party of Harry Truman, the founder of Israel, the Democrat Party of Daniel Patrick Moynihan, that Democrat Party literally no longer exists.
00:17:22.820 You can see it in the approval ratings of Senator Chuck Schumer, who I must say, looking at polling across New York state, has the lowest approval and favorable ratings of any incumbent Democrat that I have seen in my 50 year career in American politics.
00:17:40.560 Here is the problem with all of these senators. They stay in Washington too long. They overstay their welcome. They don't know when to hang it up. If I were Chuck Schumer, I would retire now rather than risk ignominious defeat at the hands of AOC or almost any other progressive Democrat who Mamdami and his cohorts decide to put forward.
00:18:03.340 I'm Roger Stone, you're listening to The Stone Zone 0.95
00:18:06.020 This is where we give you the inside skinny on American politics
00:18:09.660 Breaking news on the Watergate scandal
00:18:12.160 Which is exposing the fact that Richard Nixon was framed
00:18:15.820 And his men were railroaded
00:18:17.740 They're not too happy about it over at CNN or The Washington Post
00:18:21.500 But facts are facts
00:18:22.900 We'll be right back with that story
00:18:24.280 Don't go away

00:18:53.280 political analyst now get in the zone it's the stone zone here's roger stone welcome back into
00:19:01.540 the Stone Zone, in a closed-door meeting at the Justice Department last month, senior officials
00:19:06.660 from the Office of Professional Responsibility spent two hours reviewing a 78-page PowerPoint
00:19:13.340 slide presentation relating to, of all things, Watergate. The presentation focused on long-standing
00:19:20.800 allegations of misconduct by the Watergate Special Prosecution Force, the team of young
00:19:26.240 Ivy League lawyers whose investigation helped bring down President Richard Nixon and secured
00:19:31.760 criminal convictions for his top aides. After the Wall Street Journal broke news of this session,
00:19:38.000 Nick Ackerman, who often comes on MSNBC posing as some unbiased law enforcement official,
00:19:45.320 but in fact is a vicious lying partisan, denounced the presentation in an essay entitled,
00:19:51.900 I helped investigate Watergate. The Department of Justice's attempt to reframe Nixon as the victim
00:19:57.720 is extremely dangerous. No, Mr. Ackerman, the only person it's dangerous to is you because you have
00:20:04.060 been caught as a liar. You called me a Russian intelligence asset multiple times. I wanted to
00:20:10.080 sue you. But under the New York Times versus Sullivan Supreme Court decision, my lawyers
00:20:17.060 insisted that I could not do so. Mr. Ackerman dismissed the presentation, which came from a
00:20:23.980 graduate of the Harvard Law School, as the peddler of a bonkers conspiracy theory, asserting that
00:20:29.820 Mr. Nixon was ousted in a plot. But Jeff Shepard, the young attorney who made the presentation,
00:20:36.320 backs up all of his assertions with documents. And Ackerman has been exposed as the
00:20:42.180 for fleshing phony that he is the journal's headline decades after watergate the justice
00:20:47.980 department reviews whether nixon got a raw deal fueled skepticism by suggesting that mr nixon
00:20:53.620 long assigned the role of an irredeemable historical villain might have been fairly
00:20:59.020 untreated treated unfairly pardon me mr nixon of course got a great deal he was pardoned a month
00:21:05.540 after his resignation for all crimes he committed or may have committed during his presidency he
00:21:11.620 went on to publish the best-selling books, several of them, served as a successor conciliary and
00:21:17.640 traveled the world as an elder statesman. He became a top foreign policy advisor to President
00:21:24.840 Bill Clinton, of all people I know, because I arranged the meeting between Bill Clinton
00:21:30.220 and the former president. In fact, it was at President Nixon's funeral that I finally met
00:21:36.560 Bill Clinton, who shook my hand, then wouldn't let it go, looked me in the eye, told me how
00:21:41.600 deeply he appreciated his relationship with former President Nixon, how hard I had worked to get the
00:21:47.300 two of them together, essentially apologized to the fact that Hillary had derailed a meeting
00:21:52.140 between the two presidents so many times. But this really story talks even more about the trial of
00:22:00.280 those who worked for Nixon. What about all the president's men? Did they also get a raw deal?
00:22:05.780 According to a raft of scholarly work now, the answer, as discovered by James Rosen of Newsmax, is yes.
00:22:14.300 By fabricating witness testimony, suppressing exculpatory evidence, and colluding with the presiding judge,
00:22:21.360 the Watergate prosecutors railroaded the former attorney general and my former boss, John Mitchell,
00:22:27.580 who had been the law partner of Richard Nixon, his campaign manager, and of course later his attorney general,
00:22:34.580 as well as railroading the former White House Chief of Staff, H.R. Haldeman, and the former
00:22:39.880 Domestic Policy Chief, John Ehrlichman. This does not mean that these convicted officials
00:22:45.160 were completely innocent, but it does mean that they did not receive the due process
00:22:49.400 that even the men around Richard Nixon deserve under our Constitution. Ackerman and others
00:22:55.320 suggest that the Justice Department officials convened the meetings because they hoped
00:22:58.920 indirectly to exculpate President Trump.
00:23:02.440 You see, Ackerman, as a partisan leftist Democrat,
00:23:05.900 hated Nixon as well as Trump.
00:23:07.840 In fact, on MSNBC, Nick Ackerman,
00:23:11.240 the former Watergate prosecutor,
00:23:13.280 actually said, let me quote this exactly,
00:23:15.380 we know Nixon approved the break-in in advance,
00:23:18.420 we could just never find proof of it.
00:23:20.660 What kind of lawyer is that?
00:23:22.020 If the Watergate prosecutions could be exposed as corrupt,
00:23:26.280 Ackerman's argument goes,
00:23:27.520 Then so, too, could the investigation led by Robert Mueller that looked into possible ties between Trump's 2016 campaign and Russia.
00:23:35.920 Actually, a little surprise for Mr. Ackerman, but the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, by declassifying multiple documents, already proved that the Mueller investigation was a farce, was a hoax.
00:23:50.940 It was predicated, its probable cause was the Steele dossier.
00:23:56.360 When asked about whether there were multiple reasons to justify the opening of the Mueller investigation,
00:24:03.400 the former FBI director, James Comey, said that there was a, quote, rich mosaic of evidence.
00:24:09.400 But when pressed further, he had nothing other than the phony Steele dossier.
00:24:14.820 Steele dossier, I want to remind you, was a report commissioned by Hillary Clinton that was found to be completely fraudulent, 0.84
00:24:22.120 that claimed that Donald Trump had dallied with Russian prostitutes
00:24:25.720 while visiting Moscow as a private businessman.
00:24:29.380 In this case, I think Ackerman, like most leftists, misses the point.
00:24:33.580 The role of the Justice Department's Office of Professional Responsibility,
00:24:37.260 which is itself a post-Watergate creation,
00:24:39.980 is to review any information that suggests a department employee
00:24:43.160 might have violated the law, regulations, or standards of conduct.
00:24:47.900 With its political animus and early use of computers,
00:24:50.540 The Watergate investigation is indeed the grandfather of lawfare.
00:24:55.100 One of the jurors pronounced judgment on Mr. Nixon's cabinet officials described water as a war between the ins and the outs.
00:25:02.320 That pretty much sums it up.
00:25:04.520 Case in point, admitted from the recent presentation, on February 6, 1974, a task force staff lawyer, one Peter Reant,
00:25:13.880 sent a colleague a three-page memo titled Material Discrepancies Between the Senate Select Committee
00:25:20.960 Testimony of John Dean and the tapes of Dean's meeting with the president. Mr. Nixon was then
00:25:27.160 six months away from resigning. John Dean was the young White House counsel who admitted to having
00:25:32.740 managed the Watergate cover-up until, fired by Nixon, he negotiated partial immunity from the
00:25:39.060 Senate Watergate committee and cooperated with the prosecutors, changing himself from the man
00:25:44.580 who planned, pushed, and lied to Nixon for 19 months about the Watergate break-in into some
00:25:51.120 kind of a whistleblower. In exchange for leniency, Mr. Dean gave damning testimony against the
00:25:57.220 president and all of his men. The existence of Mr. Nixon's secret taping system was publicly
00:26:02.240 disposed 17 days after Dean concluded his televised Senate testimony. We now know that
00:26:09.600 General Alexander Haig learned the Friday before the Monday that the taping system was revealed to
00:26:16.180 the American people in the Senate committee hearings that they had learned about the taping
00:26:22.660 system. But Haig never informed Nixon of that discovery because Nixon could have moved in court
00:26:28.980 to assert executive privilege to try to block public access to the tapes this is why i urge
00:26:36.020 anyone who doesn't understand that general alexander haig is really deep throat check out
00:26:42.740 the book haig's coup by one ray locker a pulitzer prize winner the remaining year mr nixon's
00:26:50.580 presidency was spent litigating access to the tapes once it became known that they existed
00:26:55.460 and their contents tumbled out. The press, the courts, scholars all concluded that the recordings
00:27:01.060 vindicated Mr. Dean's proclaimed astounding memory for detail, and with his little brown
00:27:07.140 comb-over and his owlish eyeglasses, the ex-wonderkick became, in Walter's Conkite's words,
00:27:12.940 an all-purpose Watergate witness. But this memo, this reent memo, was never released to the news
00:27:19.220 media. The public was kept in the dark about acute problems, discrepancies that the Watergate
00:27:25.020 prosecutors identified between the Senate testimony of John Dean and what he actually said
00:27:31.260 in the recordings in the Oval Office. Likewise, there were discrepancies between Dean's testimony
00:27:37.580 and what he said in his book, Blind Ambition. When confronted about these discrepancies,
00:27:44.000 John Dean blamed Taylor Branch, the ghostwriter of his book, who he was himself a Pulitzer Prize
00:27:51.320 winter. Likewise, the re-memo was withheld from the Defense Council in the U.S. v. John Mitchell
00:27:58.080 case. That's the Watergate cover-up trial in which Mr. Dean's testimony in convicting John
00:28:03.960 Mitchell to prison proved decisive. Having ironed out all the material discrepancies from his sworn
00:28:10.060 Senate appearance, the prosecutors used Mr. Dean's new testimony to secure convictions of Mitchell,
00:28:15.800 Haldeman and Ehrlichman, once among the most powerful men in government. See, a material
00:28:21.960 discrepancy in criminal procedure means it is significant enough to affect the outcome of a
00:28:27.820 case. Criminal convictions routinely get overturned after disclosure of prosecutorial misconduct
00:28:34.000 less egregious than this. Mr. Mitchell, Mr. Haldeman, Mr. Ehrlichman, now all dead, all serve
00:28:41.240 substantial prison terms. The re-memo that I referred to earlier remained undisclosed until
00:28:46.400 1997, when it was first revealed by James Rosen in the National Review. As disclosed in that
00:28:53.780 article was also a memo by the Watergate prosecutor George Frampton. That was dated July 22nd, 1974,
00:29:01.800 10 weeks before the jury selection in the Watergate cover-up trial began outlining, once again,
00:29:07.340 significant discrepancies between Dean's anticipated trial testimony and that of other
00:29:13.180 government witnesses or evidence. Mr. Frampton's analysis showed that one meeting that Mr. Dean
00:29:18.640 testified to apparently never actually took place. The prosecutor advised we probably would do well
00:29:24.860 simply just to admit Dean's testimony about this meeting. So the prosecutor knew Dean was lying
00:29:30.700 but he moved ahead anyway. Mr. Dean later acknowledged the discrepancies testifying that he
00:29:35.860 and the prosecutors had quote-unquote cleaned them up before the Mitchell trial. I'm not sure
00:29:41.720 how you do that when the discrepancies were between recorded conversations between Dean and
00:29:47.660 Nixon in the Oval Office and Dean's sworn testimony before the Senate Watergate Committee.
00:29:53.980 Also, you have to presume he was questioned by FBI agents and lying to an FBI agent is then and is
00:30:00.360 now a federal crime. The Frampton memo showed that the prosecutors' concerns extended far beyond the
00:30:07.220 problems with the Nixon tapes posed for their star witness. Like the Reant memo, the Frampton memo
00:30:13.680 was hidden from the news media and the defense counsel as well in the case of the United States
00:30:18.540 versus John Mitchell. As the Watergate prosecutors must have known, withholding these memorandums
00:30:24.700 trampled the constitutional rights of the prosecutorial targets. Had lawyers for Mitchell
00:30:30.040 or Haldeman or Ehrlichman had access to these analyses, they could use them for cross-examination
00:30:35.780 and probably demolish what little credibility the disbarred Mr. Dean has possessed. As I said
00:30:42.660 earlier, it was Jeff Shepard, a veteran of Mr. Nixon's defense team and a leading Watergate
00:30:48.240 scholar who delivered last month's briefing to the Trump Justice Department. In 2013, Mr. Shepard
00:30:54.800 published an article in The Atlantic that made use of previously unpublished task force memorandums
00:31:00.500 that chronicle how prosecutors repeatedly met privately with Judge John Sirica, the chief
00:31:08.020 judge of the federal district court for the District of Columbia. Sirica had presided over
00:31:13.480 the Watergate breaking trial and was determined to sit as well on Mr. Mitchell's trial.
00:31:18.240 No defense lawyers were included in these meetings, and that is in itself a major violation of federal criminal procedure.
00:31:25.520 A judge in any given case cannot meet ex-partite, that means alone, with just the prosecutors.
00:31:31.580 All meetings with the prosecutors must have the defendant's lawyers present. 0.92
00:31:35.240 Sirica, who's been held up by the media to be some kind of liberal icon, should have been disbarred for this.
00:31:41.380 He should have been removed as a federal judge.
00:31:43.680 Sirica had a problem.
00:31:44.920 Approaching 70, you see, he would have been forced under the rules then in place to resign as the chief judge, thereby surrendering his power to assign the cases.
00:31:54.460 So Mr. Shepard found memos by the later special counsel, Leon Jaworski, the special prosecutor who helped secure the convictions of Mitchell,
00:32:04.560 showing that he had allowed Judge Sirica to orchestrate the contents and timing of the indictments so that he could assign himself to the case.
00:32:12.880 Mr. Shepard's findings shocked the bar. At a 2015 panel event at George Washington University, the law professor Stephen Salzberg, a former clerk to Justice Thurgood Marshall and one of the nation's most renowned experts on criminal procedure, declared that the prosecutor's concealment of exculpatory information in the case of former Attorney General John Mitchell and the conduct of Judge John Sirica constituted, quote,
00:32:42.020 a gross misconduct as you could possibly get under the law if the trump justice department
00:32:48.240 officials demonstrate the courage to revisit the nixon years these mythologies remain foundational
00:32:53.920 mainstream media and elite academia will completely and totally collapse they will expunge the tainted
00:33:00.320 convictions secured during watergate so there i've laid it out for you chapter and verse as to why
00:33:07.360 hacks like Nick Ackerman are wrong
00:33:09.100 and the growing body of evidence 0.99
00:33:11.100 including the fact that the CIA
00:33:13.200 was well aware of the Watergate break-in
00:33:15.020 long before the break-in took place
00:33:16.960 and that they infiltrated the Wargate
00:33:19.000 burglar team with at least four
00:33:21.400 of the Watergate burglars still
00:33:23.380 being associated with the CIA.

00:33:36.940 Entertaining and informative.
00:33:39.000 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.
00:33:51.080 This is the Stone Zone with Roger Stone.
00:33:54.880 Roger Stone, who's a very, very, one of the smartest political minds.
00:33:58.800 Roger Stone was persecuted.
00:34:00.020 People forget he's actually a brilliant, brilliant political analyst.
00:34:03.080 Now, get him his own.
00:34:04.680 It's the Stone Zone. Here's Roger Stone.
00:34:09.040 And we're back in the Stone Zone.
00:34:11.360 I've just run through why there is mounting evidence that comes from declassified documents and unsealed documents
00:34:18.200 that demonstrate that Richard Nixon was targeted by the deep state for a takedown.
00:34:24.160 But the question you may be asking is why?
00:34:26.780 And the answer is really pretty simple.
00:34:28.720 They thought when Nixon was elected in 1968 that he would be the ultimate hardliner.
00:34:33.840 But on the contrary, he ended the war in Vietnam, which had begun under John F. Kennedy and been escalated under Lyndon Johnson.
00:34:41.560 He reached a strategic arms limitation agreement with the Soviets, which was bitterly opposed by the Pentagon and those in the national security apparatus.
00:34:52.100 He opened the door to China at a time that China was a dirt poor agrarian society where most people did not have indoor plumbing and the rural areas had no electricity.
00:35:03.100 China was not a military or technological or economic threat to the United States.
00:35:08.740 There was no way for Richard Nixon to know that 30 years later, President Bill Clinton would extend most favored nation trading status to the Chinese, later extended by President George W. Bush. 0.75
00:35:22.320 That is what made China the dangerous superpower they are today. 0.82
00:35:27.880 There is also evidence that Nixon, who never thought that his record would ever get reexamined, is enjoying a bit of a renaissance in the country.
00:35:41.600 I think it's because the Vice President of the United States, J.D. Vance, in a speech at the Nixon Library only weeks ago, said that the same deep state elements who tried to take down Donald Trump succeeded in taking down Richard Nixon.
00:35:57.420 that has opened the door to something called nixon maxing in which nixon's entire record is now
00:36:04.220 being re-examined whether it is the ending of the draft or whether it is the 18 year old vote
00:36:11.600 or whether it is the desegregation of the public schools or whether it is the saving of israel
00:36:18.500 from complete and total annihilation in the Yom Kippur War of 1973,
00:36:24.580 or whether it is the affirmative action,
00:36:28.640 which many of my conservative friends opposed.
00:36:31.840 Nixon had a solid record of accomplishment,
00:36:34.820 including the establishment of the Environmental Protection Agency
00:36:37.960 at a time that America had no federal laws in place to protect our environment.
00:36:44.120 Now, I admit that Nixon would roll in his grave today
00:36:47.100 if you saw how those federal government agencies like the EPA have overreached.
00:36:52.940 But at the time, it made perfect sense.
00:36:55.800 So I've tried 30 years to win this reassessment of Richard Nixon.
00:37:00.640 I've written two books on the subject.
00:37:02.500 You can still find them online.
00:37:04.380 Nixon's Secrets, The Inside Story of Watergate,
00:37:08.140 and Tricky Dick, The Rise and Fallen Rise of Richard M. Nixon.
00:37:12.420 But it took comments by Vice President J.D. Vance
00:37:16.560 And the extraordinary work of these young guys at the Nixon Foundation who have mounted this campaign on social media, on X, on YouTube, on Facebook and elsewhere, using snips of Nixon's quotes, his interviews, his speeches, and incredibly inventive memes to merit the re-examination of the man who will ultimately go down in history as one of our greatest presidents.
00:37:46.260 There is no question that he staged the greatest single comeback in American history.
00:37:52.080 He lost the 1960 election by a whisker.
00:37:54.800 I argue in my books that that election was stolen from him.
00:37:58.640 There was a series in the New York Herald Tribune that proved that.
00:38:01.720 That series is not online.
00:38:03.860 I had to go to a warehouse out in Brooklyn and go through the dust and dirt
00:38:11.040 and find boxes of documents that proved that to use in my book.
00:38:17.100 But it is also clear that the murder of John F. Kennedy,
00:38:22.000 the murder of Robert F. Kennedy,
00:38:24.140 the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King,
00:38:27.120 and the divisive Vietnam War
00:38:29.300 opened the seas in a way that could not be foreseen
00:38:32.860 that allowed Richard Nixon to return to the White House.
00:38:36.580 He was always resented from the time that he exposed Alger Hiss
00:38:39.580 as a communist spy, but when Russia fell, the KGB documents that fell into American hands 0.76
00:38:45.760 proved that Nixon was right. So I leave you with this final thought. Nixon was the one,
00:38:51.780 and I will never stop defending him. I'm Roger Stone. Thanks for joining us today in The Stone
