On this episode of The Stone Zone, host Roger Stone is joined by Troy Smith, editor-in-chief of Slingshot News, and Michael Nixon, a candidate for the Republican nomination in the 3rd Congressional District of Georgia, to discuss the U.S. Senate race in Utah between Mitt Romney and T.J. Zukerman Trent Staggs, a former mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, who is challenging the sitting Republican nominee for the Senate seat, Mitt Romney, in a primary contest that has been hotly contested since early in the primary process. Stone and Smith discuss the dynamics of the race, and why a MAGA Republican might be the best choice to challenge Mitt Romney. They also discuss why they believe that if Mitt Romney runs for re-election in 2018, it will be his last chance to unseat President Donald Trump and take control of either the Senate or the House of Representatives. 00:00:00.000The Stone Zone, with legendary Republican strategist and political icon and pundit, Roger Stone.
00:00:11.180Stone has served as a senior campaign aide to three Republican presidents.
00:00:15.380He is a New York Times bestselling author and a longtime friend and advisor of President Donald Trump.
00:00:21.020As an outspoken libertarian, Stone has appeared on thousands of broadcasts,
00:00:25.000spoken at countless venues, and lectured before the prestigious Oxford Political Union and the Cambridge Union Society.
00:00:32.060Due to his four-plus decades in the political and cultural arena, Stone has become a pop culture icon.
00:00:37.400And now, here's your host, Roger Stone.
00:00:44.000Welcome. I'm Roger Stone, and yes, you are back in the Stone Zone.
00:00:49.340Today, we're going to focus in the first part of the show on the U.S. Senate race in Utah, one of the most important races in the country.
00:00:59.700There has been a MAGA upheaval in that race, and we're going to tell you all about it.
00:01:05.460Joining me now to help break that down and also talk about the political events of the day.
00:01:10.980And later on, we interview Michael Nixon, a candidate for the Republican nomination in the 3rd Congressional District of Georgia.
00:01:20.760So, we have two great candidates today, candidates deserving of your support, and I hope you will hang on to listen to that.
00:01:29.500First, I bring my regular co-host, Troy Smith, the editor-in-chief of Slingshot.News.
00:01:36.980Roger, it's an honor to be here. We're hitting both houses of Congress today. Let's do it.
00:01:43.420So, Troy, to be honest with you, Mitt Romney, I've never been a fan of Mitt Romney.
00:01:49.680When Mitt Romney was nominated by the Republican Party in 2012, I actually left the party of Lincoln.
00:01:58.200I was so concerned that Mitt Romney was not in any way a conservative in the traditional sense that I could not support his candidacy.
00:02:10.420I also knew, of course, about his family history.
00:02:16.060His father, George Romney, who had been governor of Michigan, long time independent before he became a Republican,
00:02:24.880had refused to endorse Barry Goldwater in the 1964 presidential contest.
00:02:31.660Mitt Romney, of course, had run in Massachusetts as a Republican after spending most of his adult life as an independent for the U.S. Senate against Ted Kennedy.
00:02:44.060People don't remember this, but he ran as a proponent of abortion on demand and of same-sex marriage.
00:02:54.500That was 1978. Many people have forgotten it.
00:02:59.000He would later become elected governor of Massachusetts, serving in that position for two terms.
00:03:07.660Interestingly, when he decided to run for the U.S. Senate in Utah, a state in which he had a vacation home,
00:03:17.420a state in which he certainly had family roots, but not really a state that he lived in,
00:03:22.780he prevailed upon President Donald Trump to clear the Republican Senate primary field.
00:03:31.040I believe it was the Republican attorney general who had been planning to run for the Senate.
00:03:37.420He was a Trump supporter, but Trump ultimately agreed to clear the field for Mitt Romney,
00:03:44.680and he actually endorsed Mitt Romney in that Senate primary contest just six years ago.
00:03:53.220It was very clear, based on Mitt Romney's treachery and the fact that he was one of, I believe, only two Republicans
00:04:01.080to vote for one of the articles of impeachment against President Trump,
00:04:06.060and undermining him at every turn, that Mitt Romney was out in the open as an opponent to the president,
00:04:17.900acting more like a Democrat than a Republican.
00:04:21.900But back in Utah, nobody wanted to step forward to challenge Mitt Romney
00:04:26.540because Mitt Romney had unlimited campaign funds at his disposal.
00:04:32.020Between his personal wealth and his ability to tap into special interest money,
00:04:37.400nobody wanted to take on this fight, except for one man, Trent Staggs.
00:04:43.720Trent Staggs was a prominent mayor, but certainly not a household name in Utah.
00:04:50.340But when no other principled MAGA Republican would step forward, well, Mayor Trent Staggs did declare his candidacy.
00:04:59.580The first time Trent Staggs was on this show, he was a long-shot candidate against Mitt Romney.
00:06:06.140Not only has he not held to his promises that he ran on back in 2018, but, you know, the way in which he has been so petulantly opposed to President Trump is just, it's unbecoming and not something we want to see here in the state of Utah.
00:06:26.520Nobody else came into the race until around October when Mitch said he wasn't going to seek re-election.
00:06:32.920And, you know, when we first announced, it was, he was at about 50% favorability still amongst Republican primary voters.
00:06:40.500But after putting out our launch video that reminded everybody of these promises he made, you know, he claimed he was going to end illegal immigration, he balanced the budget, he'd stop federal spending and overreach, and he'd confirm conservative justices.
00:07:00.520He doesn't really have a lengthy history in Utah.
00:07:03.000And the fact that the representation was also pretty weak, you know, just, I think we were, we were reminding people of that, and Utahns remembered.
00:07:13.660And after having a million-plus views of our launch video and being on great shows like yours where, you know, people were reminded of the fact of his record, he went down to a good 30% favorability in the polls.
00:07:27.060And we're just, we're feeling very, very fortunate to have all the support that we have, and especially to have the endorsement of President Trump.
00:07:35.820You've worked very, very hard to get to where you are.
00:07:39.500I know there were days in which it looked bleak.
00:07:42.280You took on a long shot that nobody else would do.
00:07:45.980Now, of course, that Mitt Romney has withdrawn, well, candidates are coming out of the woodwork.
00:07:52.140But none of them are Trump Republicans.
00:08:16.380And, you know, in Utah, we don't have competitive generals.
00:08:18.940I mean, we'll win Republicans historically, they'll win 10, 15 points in a general election.
00:08:24.440And so the way that our caucus convention system used to work and what got us great people like Mike Lee elected back in 2010 is that if you receive 60% of the delegate's support, you were automatically the Republican nominee, went straight to the general.
00:08:46.240I mean, we've never seen an open Senate seat garner that kind of delegate support.
00:08:51.720So we should be right now the nominee.
00:08:56.880But in 2014, after Mike Lee unseated a three-term incumbent Senator Bob Bennett, the establishment here got scared.
00:09:04.540They passed what I call the RINO Protection Act, and they allow people to gather signatures, go out and buy their way on the ballot, and force a primary irrespective of the outcome of the convention.
00:09:16.880And so that's the landscape right now is that I won, you know, overwhelmingly the convention should be the only nominee or should be the nominee.
00:09:26.780But there are three people that gathered signatures, one of which is Congressman John Curtis.
00:09:31.960We know Congressman Curtis has not been a lifelong Republican.
00:09:36.700He was chair of the Utah County Democratic Party for a period of time.
00:09:42.560He was one of 30 Republicans or so that voted for the January 6th committee.
00:09:46.280He supported the impeachment inquiry of President Trump.
00:09:50.020He censured President Trump on the House floor.
00:09:52.620And he also chairs the Climate Caucus.
00:09:55.720You know, I took an oil and gas company, an energy company, public.
00:09:58.680I've got the endorsement, among many others, of the Oil and Gas Workers Association.
00:10:02.720I'm not going to be subscribing to climate alarmism at, you know, in any sense.
00:10:09.160He's probably the main competitor, the one with the most name ID as a current congressman.
00:10:17.380Another individual that made his way on the ballot by buying his way on the ballot is our former state Speaker of the House.
00:10:29.180He spent three and a half million dollars already in his campaign and were pulling ahead and had a very convincing win at the convention over him.
00:10:39.220And then there's another gentleman, a third one, a businessman who really has, you know, no political background whatsoever,
00:10:50.000announced his candidacy three months ago and has a little bit of money that he has thrown in it already.
00:10:56.120And so those are those are the three people, in addition to myself, they'll be on the primary ballot.
00:11:01.140And yet June 25th is it's kind of a short window.
00:11:03.440And so we are we're cranking up after that great endorsement by President Trump on Saturday.
00:11:09.160I spoke to him again on Sunday to let him know the convention results.
00:11:14.040And we we expect to win here June 25th and lock this up again in Utah.
00:11:19.500Our general election is effectively our Republican primary election and winning this in the next the next seven, eight weeks is going to all but guarantee that we will be the next senator here in the state of Utah.
00:11:32.920Folks, if you're just tuning in, we're here with Mayor Trent Staggs, who has just gotten the endorsement of President Donald Trump for the U.S.
00:11:41.240Senate, who won a smashing victory last Saturday at the Utah Republican State Convention, now goes on to a primary.
00:11:50.040When we come back, we're going to talk about how you can help him win that primary, because we need men like Trent Staggs to help Donald Trump in the U.S.
00:11:59.460Senate. So stand by for this commercial message.
00:12:02.340And we'll be right back with more of Mayor Trent Staggs, the next U.S.
00:12:11.240Glutathione, I'm so excited that we have a fantastic delivery system for it, because glutathione is the master detoxifier and master antioxidant.
00:17:32.000And over the weekend, getting that Trump endorsement and winning so resoundingly at convention.
00:17:36.040But we think we need at least another million dollars here in the campaign.
00:17:42.960There are some PACs that have approached us that want to support because we know that Congressman Curtis has some support from outside PACs.
00:17:52.240And the fortunate thing with Utah having just 3 million people, it was anticipated that we would need around 3 million to $5 million to win this race in total money spent.
00:18:07.180And that seems to scan with elections from the past.
00:18:11.640And, you know, when you put that into context, when you're looking at it outside the state of Utah,
00:18:16.320I know so many other Senate races right now that are incredibly, incredibly expensive.
00:18:24.660So it's quite the bargain to be able to get a constitutional conservative, an America first senator in there to replace Mitt Romney, folks.
00:18:34.840I mean, it could be viewed effectively as a flip from almost a Democratic seat here.
00:18:40.660Have somebody go back there, work with Mike Lee, not be canceling out his vote with respect to important matters.
00:18:47.160I've committed also to join the Executive Steering Committee, which is like the Freedom Caucus equivalent of the Senate.
00:18:53.820When Senator Tuberville came out here and endorsed my candidacy, he said, look, we've got to have people in there that are going to support President Trump.
00:19:02.380But right now there are only about 18 of the 49 senators, Republicans, that really part of this committee.
00:19:11.280And we've got to have the majority within our own caucus so that we ensure that we don't elect a Mitch McConnell 2.0 as the next Senate majority leader here in January,
00:19:20.540and that we are able to advance that America first agenda and work wholeheartedly to support President Trump.
00:19:27.160Because as you know, Roger, there were some there in 2016, early 2017, in President Trump's first term that were not supportive.
00:19:38.100And that's why, unfortunately, we didn't get the border wall finished.
00:19:41.020There were a number of things that we weren't able to do.
00:19:43.740And we've got to get back there and support President Trump day one.
00:19:46.440Folks, I'm going to put up the graphic where you can go to make a contribution to Trent Staggs' campaign.
00:20:34.840So, you know, we've seen so much talked about with this foreign aid package.
00:20:38.240And just as kind of like a preview for what we would be seeing with Senator Skagg, can you tell us how you would have voted on this most recent foreign aid package that included money to Israel, Taiwan, and Ukraine?
00:21:44.120I think there's a 10-year security agreement that's $38 billion.
00:21:47.260We want to continue to support Israel, ensure that they remain free.
00:21:53.840I think what President Trump did so successfully with them is to try to normalize relations with other countries and entering into the Abraham Accords.
00:22:03.200I would love to see an expansion of those types of deals and efforts.
00:22:07.500And I think doing that will make Israel itself also less dependent on American dollars going forward.
00:23:09.020They cobble together a 1,000-page-plus piece of legislation, put it on the desk of members of Congress, and expect them to pass it.
00:23:15.240That's not the way we need to do business.
00:23:17.360We've got to have our budgetary order back to 12 appropriation subcommittees where each one's producing its budget with opportunity for debate and amendment amongst our elected officials.
00:23:27.700And so until we get back to that process, we're never going to get back to a balanced budget, which we haven't had since 2001.
00:23:35.140And we need to get back there and stop digging the hole ASAP.
00:24:29.220That early support, like you said, we had no idea we'd be in the situation we are today, but it's early support like yourself that's got us here.
00:24:46.420Again, he has the most valuable thing you could possibly have in the upcoming Republican primary, the strong and full-throated endorsement of Donald Trump.
00:24:57.480But he's got to have enough money to publicize that, enough money so that people know that he's up against some very wealthy rhino candidates, candidates who are not in any way perceived to be, never mind Trump supporters, not conservatives, never mind Trump supporters.
00:25:17.360So it's important that folks do support his candidacy.
00:25:21.520We'll probably have him back on before the primary yet again.
00:25:26.200Again, developments this morning in the Trump trial in New York City.
00:25:33.220This is the so-called hush money trial.
00:25:36.980This is a matter in which the federal investigators, the U.S. attorney, did a full investigation, found no violation of law in these financial transactions by Michael Cohen.
00:25:48.900The Federal Election Commission also conducted an investigation, found no violation of law.
00:25:54.340Yet the local Manhattan County District Attorney has created a crime out of thin air when there is no underlying crime.
00:26:05.640Excellent presentation by the criminal defense attorney, David Schoen, the other evening when he went on Fox that I saw.
00:26:24.340Well, this morning, Roger, we got news that President Trump has been fined $9,000 by Judge Juan Merchan, who we know, you know, we've talked about on this show.
00:26:36.800Merchan has a daughter that's benefiting from this trial monetarily, pretty disgusting, and has been, has kind of rejected all of the attempts by the Trump team to say, look, there's a conflict of interest here.
00:26:48.820And now we have action, Roger, we have the headlines we can put up that Trump was fined $9,000 for each instance.
00:26:58.460It's being reported that he was, Trump was also warned in the decision to fine him for $9,000, which, by the way, was for apparently nine separate instances of violating his gag order, totaling $1,000 apiece.
00:27:13.200Merchan also warned Trump in the decision that he would not tolerate further violations of the order and said, if necessary and appropriate, under the circumstances, he would impose an incarceratory punishment on the former president.
00:27:29.440So, not only is Trump fined $9,000 for violating an illegal gag order, but he's also being threatened with jail time this morning.
00:27:43.460In my case, the judge made it very clear that if I violated the gag order in my case, which was unconstitutional, that I would be immediately incarcerated.
00:27:53.900Let's remember, this is the same judge who incarcerated Paul Manafort for almost 18 months prior to his being convicted of anything.
00:28:05.720So, these are the heavy-handed tactics of the authoritarian left.
00:28:11.180And I think anyone looking at this trial recognizes that this is a setup, that the deep state and those who are employing a strategy of lawfare against the president realize that their documents case in South Florida is falling apart.
00:28:34.220The more the more the more the more the more the more she uncovers, the more it looks like a conspiracy to set Trump up.
00:28:44.900Oh, the GSA and the National Archives sent him a pallet of documents he didn't ask for.
00:28:54.900And then when it arrived there said, oh, Trump is in possession of these confidential documents, documents that they sent him.
00:29:04.220Now, the arguments were made before the Supreme Court regarding immunity.
00:29:12.340We're going to find out very shortly whether the president has immunity as regards the January 6th charges that have been brought against him by Special Counsel Jack Smith.
00:29:26.320I've given up trying to guess what the U.S. Supreme Court is going to do at any given time.
00:29:33.340We're waiting for our guest, Michael Nixon, who is running for Congress in the 3rd District of Georgia to join us.
00:29:42.360I'm here with my co-host, Troy Smith from Slingshot.news.
00:29:52.220Now, folks, two things I want to ask you.

00:31:14.320We're going to cut to a quick commercial break, and hopefully when we come back, we will have Michael Nixon, candidate for Congress in the 3rd District of Georgia.
00:31:29.200Sound's rolling. All three cameras. We're good.
00:33:47.600I'm here with my regular co-host, Troy Smith, the editor-in-chief of Slingshot.news.
00:33:54.600One of the things we have always tried to do here at The Stone Zone is to showcase young conservative candidates for Congress or the Senate.
00:34:10.320We go with those who we agree with, those who we think would be excellent in the Congress.
00:34:16.120I personally prefer MAGA candidates, America first Republicans, because frankly, I think our biggest problem in Washington today is not the socialist, Marxist, left-wing Democrats, but the feckless, gutless, weak-kneed, lily-livered establishment Republicans who don't seem to be willing to fight over anything.
00:34:41.120Whether it is the FISA program, whether it is more billions in funding for Ukraine, whether it is billions in new spending that's passed in the flash of an eye, we need fighters in the lower house.
00:35:01.600That's why the campaign of Michael Nixon came to my attention.
00:35:05.360No, it's not just that his name is Nixon, although I do think Nixon's the one.
00:35:11.560Anyway, Michael Nixon, candidate for the Republican nomination for Congress in the 2nd District of Georgia, joins us now.
00:35:21.860Thank you, Roger, and I do agree Nixon is the one.
00:35:31.640I've often said that I admire the people who get in the arena, not the people paraphrasing Theodore Roosevelt, paraphrasing Richard Nixon, not the guy who stands on the sidelines and points out how the doer of deeds could have done them better, or points out when the strong man stumbles.
00:35:52.140But the man who actually gets into the arena and struggles, you know, daringly to achieve the great.
00:37:01.560I came back to South Georgia to raise my family.
00:37:04.880And then in the last several years, when when Obama was in office and was dividing the country, it was it was starting that slippery slope of you kind of saw on the horizon a an America that you didn't think would we would ever be stepping into.
00:37:27.500And then the ship aligned, we started heading back to American first values, things started doing so much better overall, even even to the point where I had friends in the military, you know, calling me up saying the military is returning back to its heyday of what it was 20 years ago.
00:37:44.000And so I did join back in the Air National Guard under the Trump administration, only to be living in that same military now under the Biden administration.
00:37:54.860And we have started a slippery slope into an America that is no longer holding American values.
00:38:00.100We have countries that that are laughing at us.
00:38:02.140It is it is it is embarrassing to show your face on the on the, you know, foreign spectrum representing this country and what it has came to.
00:38:12.700And so now I have I have three sons that I have raised.
00:38:14.960My youngest is about to graduate high school and he's about to enter this world that is become so corrupt that we've taken the blindfold off our judicial system.
00:38:26.980And we're using it to better the powers to be in the administration right now.
00:38:32.720And it saddens me that we don't have these voices in Congress and in the House that's stepping up and trying to fight for Trump with Trump.
00:38:41.400And so I believe we need people with the voices of the veterans serving in in the House.
00:38:46.680And I believe that we need people with an American first mindset and somebody that's going to get in there and rally the troops for Trump.
00:38:53.380We need to protect our commander in chief and we need to do everything we can to make sure that that he gets back in the Oval Office and support him 100 percent while he's there.
00:39:03.240And I'm tired of seeing these spineless Republicans and all these spineless politicians that are not doing that and rallying to his side and giving him the aid that he needs and being as vocal as they can, that this is just an abuse of the judicial system.
00:39:18.580Very, very, very well said, Troy, do you have a question for our guest, Michael Nixon?
00:39:27.160You know, we see so much going on in Congress and we've even reported on it here at the Stone Zone.
00:39:31.900There is an effort right now being led by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy to kind of hand the House of Representatives to the Democrats in order to allow them to pass legislation to ban Trump from the ballot.
00:39:45.800And you spoke to it there, the threat. We're seeing this from the Republican establishment in the House of Representatives.
00:39:51.740Can you talk about what you would do as a member of the House to try to combat these people that are really undermining the president and therefore really undermining half of the country?
00:40:02.720Absolutely. And so what they're doing is these rhinos that are in there.
00:40:07.680They're basically Democrats in sheep's clothing.
00:40:09.840You have a handful of American first patriots that is fighting for this country in the House.
00:40:15.120But you need to unify those people and you need to start picking off the weakest link.
00:40:18.980You need to get these rhinos and start with the weakest one at the totem pole and work your way up.
00:40:23.020Because once you start actually vocalizing and broadcasting a spotlight on these people that are that are just, you know,
00:40:31.260so weak-kneed politicians that they shouldn't be there because they're not representing the best interest of the people in this country.
00:40:37.540Because I will say right now that Trump is the best interest for this country.
00:40:43.320Nobody can look themselves in the mirror eye to eye and say that they're better off now than they were four years ago under the Trump administration.
00:40:49.640We have gotten way worse. We've started down a slippery slope into this Biden administration and dealing with Biden economics that is just mind-blowingly sad.
00:40:59.380And it's taking advantage of every taxpayer.
00:41:01.960And these politicians are getting complacent in D.C.
00:41:07.040And they don't want to do anything that they can to help the American people, which includes backing Trump.
00:41:12.800And they're scared that they've been rhinos so long that Trump's going to get their clean house and make their life miserable.
00:41:17.560And their life should be miserable because they they're they're they're taking up seats and keeping it warm and their butts should be primaried.
00:41:25.020So, Michael, you have chosen to contend against a longtime Democrat incumbent in a district where I still think there is a more modest Democratic edge, but still a Democratic edge.
00:41:40.660Experts I know tell me that they believe that under the right circumstances with Trump at the head of the ticket, that this is a winnable district, which was not always the case prior to redistricting.
00:41:55.380So tell us about the incumbent and tell us about how the district has changed.
00:42:00.260Absolutely. The incumbent is Sanford Bishop.
00:42:05.280He served in office for 31 years as of right now.
00:42:09.100And he's planning on just serving as long as he can and doing nothing for the people.
00:42:13.620And that's one of his shortcomings is because now the let's just look at four years ago, whenever we had Trump in office and everybody's life was doing wonderfully so much better than what they are right now.
00:42:26.420They didn't mind going to the ballot box.
00:42:27.980They were complacent in their life because things were so good that they didn't mind checking that incumbent, you know, checkmark at the ballot box and getting Sanford Bishop in.
00:44:05.120So, you know, Michael, one of the things that I noticed and I've been watching this pretty closely is that the people of this country,
00:44:10.800you know, they're starting to feel the fire of Washington, D.C.
00:44:14.440And they're starting to in their everyday life now.
00:44:16.980They have to actually make consequential choices because of what's going on in D.C.
00:44:21.840Can you tell us what you'd be doing as a member of the House of Representatives to make those those tough choices go away and make things a little bit easier for the people of Georgia?
00:44:33.280We need to actually take things at the federal level and downsize it and bring it back to the state as much as possible.
00:44:38.960So that goes along with education, get education from the federal government, localize it as much as possible, make school vouchers and school choice more of a thing.
00:44:47.900You have the public education that's feeding our kids DEI and all this nonsense.
00:44:53.420Transparency is no longer in our public education system, which is a shame and a sham.
00:44:59.700And another thing is something that's very important to this district is agriculture.
00:45:03.800And so you got to you got to cut through the bureaucratic red tape and help the farmers of Georgia.
00:45:09.420And that also includes making sure China is not buying up farmland because they are going through the country and securing as much farmland as they can and shutting out some of these farming communities to utilize that land.
00:45:21.660And our country and our congressmen are letting them do it and run away with it.
00:45:26.460We also have to secure the border because recently, and everybody knows this, we've had deaths here in the state of Georgia that would not have ever happened if we had a secure border.
00:45:43.500And we have to stop it to add protection and security back into the citizens of Georgia and the citizens in every one of the 50 states because this is just a monumental issue that the Biden administration and Sanford Bishop has not voted on border security since he's been in office.
00:46:02.600And he's just allowing it to pour into this district nonstop.
00:46:05.940And we have to plug that up and stop that and build that wall.
00:46:10.120So let me ask you this before we put up a graphic to tell people how they can give to your campaign because, well, folks, running for Congress is extraordinarily expensive.
00:46:22.280No matter where you are running, the cost of postage has gone up.
00:46:27.680So even if your campaign is based entirely in mailings to voters or the cost of radio, the cost of cable TV, the cost of even text messaging voters, which has new regulations governing it, the cost of blast emails, all of these things cost money.
00:46:51.100But before we get to that, Michael, expand for us a little bit on your military service.
00:47:37.680I've been on the front lines and saw the men and women that make the largest sacrifice for our nation.
00:47:42.680And then to have them come back home and treated the way they are in the health care system that we have for our veterans is embarrassing and shameful.
00:47:51.540It was going in such a great, great direction under the Trump administration.
00:47:56.560Health care reform for the VA was on an upward climb.
00:48:00.000It was making monumental improvements just to kind of fall off the cliff whenever we exited Trump and got the puppet in the Oval Office that we currently have.
00:48:10.140Things have been ignored, and we need better for our veterans.
00:48:14.660And somebody that has been there and wore the uniform and deployed with those people and stood elbow to elbow, shoulder to shoulder with them,
00:48:21.380And I believe that I can represent them and be the voice that they need in D.C.
00:48:26.800All right, folks, we're going to put up the graphic for you where you can contribute to Michael Nixon's campaign.
00:48:33.580There you see it, Nixon for Georgia, nixonforgeorgia.com.
00:48:38.860Please go to the website, make a generous contribution.
00:48:42.360You can also contact the candidate there.
00:48:44.880Michael Nixon, thank you so much for joining us today on The Stone Zone.
00:49:12.800The markets are getting crazy, and now is the time to protect yourself from economic turmoil.
00:49:18.800Silver is in the headlines right now and creating lots of excitement as the price of silver is extremely attractive compared to gold.
00:49:26.640A call to Swiss America gets you the scoop on whether the silver opportunity is for real.
00:49:31.580What you'll discover will really blow your mind.
00:49:34.080Today, silver faces a huge shortage due to the rising demand by military, solar, electric cars, and computers, all of which depend on silver.
00:49:43.840But right now, silver is priced to sell according to worldwide experts.
00:49:47.800Now, to help you get started, Swiss America is offering beautiful United States Walking Liberty half dollars, issued by the U.S. Mint from 1916 to 1947, and minted in 90% pure silver for a special introductory price.
00:50:02.560Limit of 250 per customer while supplies last.
00:50:06.140So call the number on your screen or visit SwissAmerica.com, because now is the time to rediscover silver.
00:50:13.320We've learned through the pandemic we can never be caught unprepared again.
00:50:17.980And so many Americans, when COVID hit, they had nothing in the house.
00:50:21.700Stores were shut down, and doctors' offices were shut down.
00:50:25.500And even if doctors prescribed drugs, hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, pharmacists wouldn't fill the prescriptions.
00:51:26.640If you're just tuning in, I'm Roger Stone, and I'm here with my co-host, Troy Smith of Slingshot.news.
00:51:34.240Troy, we have just a few minutes left here.
00:51:36.540But one of the things that continues to mildly aggravate me are the folks on social media who say that Roger Stone and his wife evaded millions of dollars of income taxes.
00:51:47.080But if they're being treated differently than Hunter Biden, why aren't the stones being prosecuted?
00:51:53.460In point of fact, we have never failed to report any income or asset accurately to the IRS.
00:52:03.000Our simple problem is we are unable to pay.
00:52:21.720Well, Roger, I mean, it's just very evident by the way the judge scolded Hunter Biden's legal team and Kevin Morris, who's his lawyer here.
00:52:30.980They attempted to dismiss the charges on Hunter Biden, which, you know, this is a guy, he's basically been charged with not paying taxes and failing to report millions of dollars in income, which was never, ever the case for you, as you stated right there.
00:52:45.380And on the basis of your own case, Hunter Biden and his lawyers attempted to make the case to this judge in the Hunter Biden tax case that you received preferential treatment and that because of that, you that Hunter Biden's charges should be dismissed.
00:53:02.000The judge laughed that out of the courtroom, along with several other motions they made to dismiss these tax charges.
00:53:08.720And overall, Roger, the situation, as he pointed out there in the headline and was was pointed out in the context of what he said, it was apples and oranges.
00:53:18.640What Roger Stone did by by this own judge's admission and by the admission of our legal system is not tax evasion, has nothing to do in no relation to Hunter Biden or what he's been accused of.
00:53:29.580And yet the left politically, they use this to say, oh, well, Roger Stone did it.
00:53:37.000They have nothing to do with each other.
00:53:38.360And truth be told, if I were you, I would be looking at these people, especially in the mainstream media, who accuse you of tax evasion as as primary recipients, maybe of a lawsuit, because they are lying.
00:53:53.820I'm not getting any kind of special deal.
00:53:55.940Normally, when any taxpayer enters into good faith, offering compromise negotiations with the IRS, they can get some decrease in the interest and penalty on past due taxes.
00:54:10.760The IRS has been unwilling to negotiate that with me.
00:54:13.980Therefore, I will pay $2 million to the IRS, only one quarter of which are actually past due taxes and all of the rest of which is interest and penalty.
00:54:25.960So, special deal, special treatment, preferential treatment?
00:54:41.540I do want to remind you that we continue to be sponsored by the great folks at MyPillow.com.
00:54:50.260I was with Mike Lindell this past Thursday night at a great event for our mutual friend, Mark Fincham, who's running for the state Senate in Arizona.
