00:02:10.020 announced uh that it would get the agency back on track uh and consistent with the 2019 trump plan

00:02:24.620 first let's talk about epa this to me is very good news yeah absolutely roger you know as you know

00:02:31.120 you were one of the people who helped get this historic policy in place back in 2019 uh andrew wheeler

00:02:37.440 then the head of the epa under trump uh 45 announced a historic plan first in the history of the

00:02:43.500 government that they were going to completely eliminate all animal testing by 2035 and they

00:02:48.940 were going to make a 30 reduction by 2025 which is this year uh andrew wheeler and president trump put

00:02:55.440 the agency on track in 2019 to accomplish that unfortunately right after andrew wheeler and

00:03:03.420 president trump left uh the white house in 2021 the biden administration due to pressure from

00:03:11.680 uh scientists inside the agency as well as environmental groups got the biden administration

00:03:18.220 to kill the trump plan to end animal testing at the epa the environmental groups that were pressuring

00:03:24.340 the biden administration got them to do that to remove the deadlines to end animal testing

00:03:29.560 and said they need to do it in the name of environmental justice that we needed to do not

00:03:34.580 only did they want to completely eliminate trump's plan but they wanted the epa to do more animal

00:03:40.100 testing again in the name of environmental justice and other woke priorities like there's there's one

00:03:45.640 example during the biden administration where the epa was shooting off handguns and rifles and forcing

00:03:50.920 animals to breathe the firearms emissions for gun control experiments and other testing they were

00:04:39.400 animals so that's good news for everyone but like you said it hasn't been all uh sunshine and rainbows

00:04:49.440 images i'm sure people have seen them uh where under dr fauci they would take beagles they would encase

00:07:36.440 uh the nih and the pentagon are continuing to pay a lab in china which tortures i'm told 300 beagles per

00:07:46.180 week uh i really don't believe the president knows about any of this that's my own belief uh because he

00:14:43.760 announced a big plan a couple weeks ago a 10 page uh i think it was like a 10 page plan they released

00:14:50.500 outlining their priorities for reducing animal testing um so that's all steps in the right

00:14:56.020 direction nih has cut some testing doge has cut some testing at the nih but the nih has not yet

00:15:02.580 made any sweeping announcement about cutting animal testing and in fact the only thing they have released
